00:00:00.000 Welcome back to another episode of Stand on Guard with David Creighton. I'm your host,
00:00:06.020 David Creighton. And before we get into today's show, there's some very interesting material here
00:00:10.860 today, including a surprise announcement from a liberal MP from Charlottetown. He made a
00:00:17.360 surprise announcement. I think it's going to fascinate you what he predicted. We'll get to
00:00:23.080 that in a minute. So we are in a very precarious position in this country. We need political
00:00:31.060 change, but we also need to resolve to resist. I hope you watched my interview last week with
00:00:44.240 Camille El-Sheikh. He's a local Ottawa Muslim activist and prominent businessman who is out
00:00:51.400 there fighting the LGBTQ agenda ideology in our schools. He's fighting gender ideology. 0.94
00:01:00.040 He's standing up for children. He's planning a million person march for September 20th.
00:01:07.920 Now, I think he can achieve that. But if you want to stay apprised of what's happening,
00:01:13.480 if you want to know how to get involved, keep looking at the description on this page,
00:01:19.160 please subscribe and ring that bell so you can access that. Because we'll be providing the
00:01:25.360 information about what Camille is doing and the other organizers. Their information will be here
00:01:33.060 and you can access it. But please subscribe and ring that bell. So without further ado, I want to get
00:01:38.560 onto our topic today. And it's one of our favorite personalities. You know, shows like this wouldn't
00:01:45.980 be as much fun if you didn't have politicians like Christy of Freeland, the Deputy Prime Minister and
00:01:51.880 Finance Minister. Now, some people say she's basically doing all the work in this government 0.99
00:01:57.540 because Justin Trudeau just likes to lay back and have a good time. And if you look at the way she
00:02:02.940 reacts to this reporter, it looks like she's maybe a little overworked, maybe has really needs a little 1.00
00:02:09.980 rest someplace. Because she's she's having some trouble. But let's let's have a look at this stuff
00:02:16.280 we make in Canada, if we are not making it in a green way. People will not want to visit our country
00:02:24.080 if they do not see that we are energetically embracing the green transition. They'll go to places
00:02:31.340 that are embracing that. So now, now, do you do believe that? Do you do you actually believe
00:02:39.480 that people are not coming to Canada, that our tourism is down because they don't think we're
00:02:46.400 green enough? But it's, it's, it's an incredible situation. But that's, you know, that is that is
00:02:54.420 Christine Freeland. So let's, let's listen to some. I really believe very, very strongly that
00:03:00.680 our green policy is an economic growth policy. Excellent. Although I did. I rarely get that at
00:03:10.480 press conferences. You guys are nice. I did. It's Prince Edward Island. Yeah. I did want to say one
00:03:17.280 more thing, though. I don't need you to retread the ground you've gone over because you've answered
00:03:20.200 this question from the other side. But you are facing a lot of pushback in this region, in particular
00:03:24.800 from local politicians, local provincial governments that say this, they're not opposed to it, but it's
00:03:30.100 coming too soon, too fast. They need more. Ah, notice here, she's saying, oh, I thought this reporter was
00:03:37.360 on my side. And it appears initially, that he's a he's a promoter. He wants to lob a softball question. But
00:03:46.160 she's realizing here, and look at that look in her face. He's realizing, oh, I'm going to get a tough
00:03:51.620 question. Time to adapt. What do you say to that? You know what? I say, I do really understand.
00:04:00.260 I really understand the challenges. And I do believe that the challenges are different
00:04:08.940 in small towns, in places with less public transit than they are in big cities. You know, I right now
00:04:20.720 am an MP for downtown Toronto. A fact that still shocks my dad is, I don't actually own a car.
00:04:28.740 Because I live in downtown Toronto. I'm like, I don't know, 300 meters from the nearest subway.
00:04:34.920 Um, I walk, I take the subway, I make my kids walk and ride their bikes and take the subway.
00:04:42.680 It's actually healthier for our family. I can live that way.
00:04:48.100 Yeah.
00:04:51.020 Let's have a look at this.
00:04:54.780 Now, as you can see here, she's not really telling the truth. She uses a chauffeur, not only when she's
00:05:02.840 in Ottawa, as a cabinet minister being chauffeured around, but she uses a chauffeur in Toronto. And
00:05:07.680 she even uses a chauffeur when she's going to events. She's got a backup limo waiting for her. 0.99
00:05:15.900 So she's not only taking the plane to get an event, to an event, she's having a chauffeur drive to that
00:05:21.700 event and drive back, even if she's not with it. Because just in case, she needs that, as this
00:05:27.800 demonstrates, I mean, this, this is really quite, quite shocking. But this is, this is what
00:05:33.640 Chrystia Freeland is all about. It's about hypocrisy. And the funny thing is, you know, as we can, we can 0.81
00:05:39.240 look at this here. She was very upset with Pierpaglia for pointing out her, that she just doesn't
00:05:45.000 understand average Canadians who have to drive a car to work, or to pick up the children, or to do
00:05:50.120 anything else that you can't do, necessarily, if you don't have mass rapid transit, 300 meters away.
00:05:58.280 Or you don't have a chauffeur to pick you up every, every morning. Or you don't have a chauffeur on call
00:06:05.000 every time you go someplace. So she was really upset with conservative leader Pierpaglia for not
00:06:11.400 providing the whole discourse. And of course, you just saw the whole thing right there.
00:06:15.960 You just saw it. That's what she wanted the whole discourse out. And so she got the whole discourse.
00:06:24.520 So it does do you think she understood? Do you think Chrystia Freeland understands the average
00:06:28.440 Canadian? Do you think she's ever been the average Canadian? No, and certainly not. And she always likes
00:06:35.240 to pretend she's just a common folk, you know, and she understands it all, but she doesn't. Let's hear some
00:06:40.200 more incredible revelations here. And that's why we've invested massively in electric vehicles, in batteries.
00:06:49.400 All right. This is a guy named Bill Casey. He's the short, sorry, Sean Casey. He is the member of
00:06:57.320 parliament for Charlottetown liberal. He makes a really surprising announcement here. Really surprising
00:07:04.760 announcement. Just watch it away for this. And the clean fuel standard, the very purpose of that
00:07:12.600 is to allow for transportation with less harm to the environment. I have every confidence that
00:07:18.600 industry is going to respond positively. So I don't have any concern whatsoever because I have so much
00:07:27.240 faith in the innovators in this country who are being fueled by the investments that we are making.
00:07:33.560 I mean, there are going to be no internal combustion engines in Canada in 2035.
00:07:40.200 What did he say? No combustible engines by 2035. I mean, there are going to be no internal
00:07:50.760 combustion engines in Canada in 2035. No internal combustion engines by 2035. That's what he said.
00:07:56.440 Now, we're going to get to another clip here. And if you want a moment to gag,
00:08:02.360 you've got it now. But this is just Justin Trudeau being Justin Trudeau. And sometimes it's nauseating.
00:08:10.120 Well, if that wasn't a heartwarming moment, I don't know. I don't know what is. I hope you enjoyed those
00:08:31.160 clips today. I want to encourage you again to support independent media. And please subscribe and
00:08:39.480 ring that bell. It's very important to a station like this. It really does help us to stay in business.
00:08:47.400 And I appreciate your support. Please keep sending your comments in because I do read them. And I'm
00:08:53.960 going to be responding more than I should have been, as I should have been. And I think it's important
00:09:01.320 to stay in touch. And let me know if there's anything you want me to cover. If there's anything,
00:09:07.480 the stories out there you think I should be going after. Because I'd be happy to respond. But please
00:09:14.440 continue to support this station, continue to support the work I'm doing. And I want to thank
00:09:18.760 you so much for being a part of this experience. And that's what I do every week here is bring you the
00:09:26.440 news you might not see everywhere else. And we're coming against Justin Trudeau's internet censorship laws.
00:09:36.840 Please subscribe, ring that bell if you haven't done so already. I know it's annoying to ask.
00:09:46.840 Believe me, I'm not a salesman. I'm a writer. But I really implore you to do that because I need this
00:09:55.960 station to keep going. We want to keep bringing you the news that you want to hear. And if you want a
00:10:01.800 story covered, let me know, please. Because that's where I'm getting a lot of news information from
00:10:09.480 your tips. So thank you for being there for me. And you can also support this station by going on my
00:10:17.400 sub stacks and subscribing for $8 a month. Yes, I know it's free. But I I can also use your support.
00:10:27.800 So please do that if you can. And I will continue to be here every week.
00:10:35.320 Every day if I'm it must needs be to tell you what's really happening in this world of ours.
00:10:43.640 And I'm in nobody's pocket. But I am on your side.
00:10:57.800 Mm-hmm.
