00:01:24.340 Six in 10 Canadians, 58 percent, approve of the Liberal government's performance under Prime Minister Carney.

00:01:47.960 As Parliament resumes on September 15th, that's tomorrow, folks, and with Pierre Pauly taking his new seat in the House of Commons,
00:02:00.260 a new Ipsos poll finds that if another federal election were held tomorrow,
00:02:05.020 the Liberal Party would hold a four-point lead in the decided vote, 43 percent, to the Conservatives' 39,
00:02:12.200 a result that remains relatively close to the popular vote, the federal election in April.
00:02:18.660 Well, the NDP is behind the seven, and I don't care what the Bloc Quebec was doing.
00:02:25.880 But what's incredible about this?
00:02:28.980 Approval of the Liberal government under Mark Carney sits at 58 percent,
00:02:33.260 which is 10 points higher than the government's approval rating in April prior to Carney's election.
00:02:39.200 Government approval ratings haven't been this high in nine years,
00:02:42.400 when 61 percent of Canadians approved of the performance of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
00:02:48.720 after his first year in office.
00:02:51.280 Approval is higher among those 18 to 34, 63 percent,
00:02:58.060 versus 52 percent for 35 to 54,
00:03:01.860 59 percent for those 55 and over.
00:03:04.880 Liberal voters remain satisfied with Carney leadership, 91 percent approval.
00:03:09.600 So, you're telling me that Mark Carney is enjoying 63 percent support amongst 18 to 34-year-olds?

00:04:40.280 when it was the Federal Court of Appeal.

00:04:51.120 to the Federal Appeals Court as the Supreme Court of Canada.

00:05:46.560 where it was essentially a sentencing hearing for a truck.

00:05:53.240 The judge was hearing arguments for why the Crown wants to steal
00:05:59.040 Doug Ford wants to steal Chris Barber's rig, Big Red, and destroy it.
00:06:06.000 This is purely punitive, vitriolic, mean-spirited.
00:06:12.280 But this is what they want to do.
00:06:14.780 And this is going to have at least one more day.
00:06:17.140 And it's Chris Barber who says this could actually go on
00:06:19.980 after Chris Barber and Tamara Leach are sentenced on October 7th.
00:06:24.760 So, this could keep going on and on.
00:06:27.200 But let's have Chris explain this, because I think he did very well

00:06:36.000 and how things went yesterday.
00:06:37.540 So, I will give everybody an update on it.
00:06:39.660 Obviously, the Crown in Ottawa, under Doug Ford,
00:06:42.340 the Attorney General's office, wants to confiscate, forfeit, Big Red,
00:06:47.140 and destroy it because of the significance it resembles
00:06:51.260 to Freedom Convoy 2022.
00:06:53.700 Now, what we've done is we've hired lawyer Brendan Miller
00:06:56.320 and my lawyer, Diane Magus.
00:06:59.620 Brendan Miller is representing CB Trucking,
00:07:01.700 the company that my son, Jonathan, and I own, 50-50.
00:07:06.320 That went into court yesterday, and Brendan,
00:07:08.820 he didn't just throw a wrench into it.
00:07:10.360 He threw a wrench at it.
00:07:12.000 And we're going to challenge stuff.
00:07:13.900 The biggest thing was whether the judge has jurisdiction over the provinces
00:07:18.580 to forfeit a truck that was not confiscated in the act of the alleged crime
00:07:25.940 that took place.
00:07:27.360 Most people remember Big Red.
00:07:28.660 We were led into Wellington on January 29th in 2022.
00:07:33.400 We were parked where police parked us.
00:07:37.040 Nine days later, I moved that truck because officers asked me to move that truck.
00:07:41.520 Big Red sat in the turning lane of the Supreme Court for a few days.
00:07:46.380 It wasn't blocking traffic.
00:07:47.980 It was sitting in a turning lane.
00:07:49.780 And because the Crown has,
00:07:52.300 they've made case law over the last four years.
00:07:54.560 This is what they've done.
00:07:55.420 They've used coots, especially a pastor in coots
00:07:58.400 who said some things and they found him guilty of mischief.
00:08:01.460 They've used that case law against us.
00:08:03.080 All this stuff has been made up in the last four years.
00:08:06.160 I want people to understand that.
00:08:07.420 And now, because they're so vindictive and so hateful and so spiteful,
00:08:13.340 they want more.
00:08:15.120 And our fear is right now that if the judge even deems the truck
00:08:20.020 it was as used in a crime and she throws the forfeiture out,
00:08:24.020 that allows the Crown to then go back to the province of Saskatchewan
00:08:27.640 at a later date and say,
00:08:28.880 we want that truck and we want you to help.
00:08:31.440 So what we're trying to do right now is bat that right out of the bloody park.
00:08:34.600 And that's going to prolong things.
00:08:36.700 We're talking probably six months of trial.
00:08:38.980 We're talking possibly Supreme Court.
00:08:41.320 We're talking Superior Court for sure.
00:08:43.560 We're talking rulings that have never been made.
00:08:45.680 This is basically new case law going forward.
00:08:48.200 Because most people know that when a forfeiture takes place,
00:08:51.240 a forfeiture is something that they've already confiscated.
00:08:54.660 Not something four years after the fact that they're trying really hard to take.
00:08:59.260 So everybody wants the update.

00:09:02.980 It was a wrench fest yesterday in trial.
00:09:06.320 We can always judge how red the back of the Crown prosecutor's head gets
00:09:09.920 when he gets angry and allegedly it was pretty red.
00:09:12.420 So they're acting in bad faith.

00:09:19.460 And it's sad to see our government acting in such a manner.
00:09:24.440 So it's frustrating.
00:09:27.640 But I sat here yesterday on Zoom and I listened to the whole thing
