00:02:18.080 Russia has said no NATO or coalition of the willing peacekeepers are going to be in Ukraine.
00:02:25.380 He's saying he's going to end the war before there's a ceasefire or a peace treaty.
00:02:29.360 Carney and others, such as UK's Keir Starmer and France's President Emmanuel Macron, are adamant that they are going to stop this somehow.

00:03:02.200 Why is his opinion, why do opinion polls say he's just doing a great, great job, as Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, recently described Mark Carney?

00:03:20.280 They are asking for a stay of this cull, this killing of 399 ostriches, until they get a response from their appeal to the Supreme Court.

00:04:39.820 So what is Mark Carney up to?
00:04:44.980 Well, Mark Carney is up to a lot of things.
00:04:47.880 But let's have a look at this.
00:04:50.340 In terms of, what does he mean, pausing EV mandates?
00:04:54.060 What does he really mean by that?
00:04:56.740 Well, let's hazard a guess here.
00:04:58.960 Add flexibility to the automotive sector.
00:05:01.680 We will remove the 2026 electric vehicle availability standard, which specifies the share of new vehicle sales that must be electric next year.
00:05:11.220 This will provide immediate financial relief to automakers at a time of increased pressure on their competitiveness.
00:05:19.520 And the government will begin immediately a 60-day review of the EV standard to identify future flexibilities and ways to reduce costs.
00:05:28.020 And we'll advance new options to bring more and more affordable electric vehicles to Canadians.
00:05:34.420 Okay, so clearly Mark Carney still wants an EV mandate, but not right now, because the economy is crashing.
00:05:45.620 We just saw 66,000 jobs in August alone gone.
00:05:50.420 The unemployment rate is going, surging past 7%.
00:05:53.700 It could hit 10% by the end of the year.
00:05:57.980 We are at the brink of a recession, perhaps a depression, capital D depression.
00:06:03.620 So Mark Carney is desperate.
00:06:05.840 And he knows automakers are going out of business.
00:06:08.320 Automakers are going broke.
00:06:10.840 We've got the trade war with the United States.
00:06:14.700 And inflation continues to rise.
00:06:18.000 Today, he's flip-flopped.
00:06:19.220 After being a passionate advocate for banning gas-powered vehicles, calling for them to be banned by 2030 in his book, Values,
00:06:27.740 which, by the way, was much more aggressive than Trudeau's plan to ban him in 35, 2035,
00:06:32.760 he's finally admitted that the Conservatives were right, just like we were right on the carbon tax.
00:06:38.340 But he's doing a clumsy retreat, saying that he's going to delay this mandate.
00:06:44.460 So now, businesses who would otherwise consider investing in automaking here in Canada
00:06:50.700 will have to put that investment on hold while Mark Carney dithers for another year
00:06:56.360 to try and figure out how he can ban people from putting gas and diesel in their trucks and cars.
00:07:02.920 Mark Carney can't even get his flip-flops right.
00:07:05.800 So this is an ideological flip-flop to some degree,
00:07:10.780 because Mark Carney still believes he should be driving an electric vehicle.
00:07:14.280 He also believes the economy is on the verge of collapsing.
00:07:17.580 And if he continues down this road, he's going to collapse faster than he can possibly contain.
00:07:23.660 So Poliev is right.
00:07:25.920 He's flip-flopped.
00:07:26.920 But only because he realizes there's an economic catastrophe on the way,
00:07:32.140 and he's got to do everything he can to alleviate it,
00:07:34.380 or the Liberal Party will be doomed as the party that was in power during the next Great Depression.
00:07:41.380 So this is what Mark Carney is trying to do.
00:07:43.560 It's clearly, this is all political, as everything Mark Carney has ever done is always political.
00:07:48.760 The man cannot move without politics being the reason.
00:07:51.980 Scott Moe had said yesterday that if it was up to him,
00:07:56.520 Saskatchewan would remove the tariffs on EVs from Chinese EVs
00:08:00.460 and hope that China might remove tariffs on the canola sector.
00:08:05.100 If it was up to you, would you do the same thing?
00:08:08.240 No, I don't believe that that is the right way to go.
00:08:10.620 I think that, first of all, China wants these electric vehicles to be roving surveillance operations on our streets.
00:08:19.940 And in 10 years, God forbid, there's a conflict,
00:08:22.680 and then there's millions of those vehicles surveilling our population and our streets.
00:08:26.900 That would be a strategic problem for our country.
00:08:29.820 So I respect Scott Moe.

00:08:32.820 I disrespectfully disagree with this point.
00:08:35.140 What I would do instead is I would cancel the billion-dollar loan
00:08:39.980 the Liberals are giving under Mark Carney to buy Chinese-made ships.

00:08:47.500 you are not going to be selling a billion dollars of ships to our country
00:08:51.400 when you are unlawfully and unfairly targeting our canola producers with tariffs.
00:09:00.100 I'm not sure that's going to make any difference at all to the tariff on canola,
00:09:04.760 just canceling the BC ferry contract.

00:09:55.860 and in your own words, you said you would like to pursue new options

00:10:02.140 Does that mean that your government is also considering lifting the 100% tariffs
00:10:07.720 that your predecessor put on electric vehicles made in China
00:10:11.220 that have triggered punishing tariffs on the canola industry in Western Canada?

00:10:19.160 The first thing is to say from our perspective on climate, climate competitiveness,
00:10:24.940 is to develop the competitiveness of our industries everywhere from the resource sector
00:10:32.200 through to manufacturing, through to services, so that Canadian businesses can compete.
00:10:37.780 We can grow foreign markets.
00:10:40.120 We can grow jobs and sustainable jobs here in Canada.
00:10:43.240 And in that regard, there's a series of measures that we're taking and will take.
00:10:49.780 It starts from the tax system and works its way out
00:10:52.180 so that the investments in decarbonization are happening here in Canada.

00:12:07.480 and she actually does, I think, epitomize principled conservatism

00:12:17.600 Daniel Smith is the author and finisher of that as far as premiers go,
00:12:22.160 and I think as far as politicians go.
00:12:24.000 Here she is standing up for legal gun owners.
00:12:26.660 We have a public safety minister who wants to come and take my legally obtained firearms,
00:12:31.080 which I took a safety course for, legally purchased,
00:12:33.880 but he can't define what a restricted position acquisition license is.
00:12:37.680 He had to recuse himself from a terrorist organization, which is the Tamale Tigers.
00:12:41.520 I will not be handing them over to the federal government
00:12:43.620 because I'm not supposed to give my firearms to criminals.
00:12:45.620 So I can't go to the range, I can't do my sport shooting with 90% of my firearms
00:12:53.160 because I became a criminal overnight with an unjust gun grab fraud.
00:12:56.820 I know that Premier Smith is familiar with the homeowner in Ontario
00:12:59.860 who was just charged with injuring a home intruder who had a crossbow.
00:13:03.460 You should ask her about it.
00:13:05.160 Canadians are being charged for protecting themselves, their families, and their property
00:13:08.960 and being backed into a corner through submission by the federal government.
00:13:11.980 We're being told to leave our keys beside our unlocked door
00:13:15.100 as criminals have more rights than we do.
00:13:17.440 So where would the Alberta police force stand in relation to the legal firearm owners?

00:13:26.680 Premier, can you address those ones first and then we'll book it.
00:13:30.220 Well, let me tell you my frame on this.
00:13:32.840 So the proper use of the criminal code power
00:13:36.500 is the way the feds will regulate around, for instance, vehicular homicide.
00:13:42.080 Like there are ways that you can use your car that kill people
00:13:44.420 and they look at that as a criminal penalty and they charge you.
00:13:48.260 But you know what they don't do?
00:13:49.460 They don't come in and say,
00:13:51.300 red cars have a disproportionate number of accidents.
00:13:54.480 Therefore, we're going to ban red cars and confiscate them, right?
00:13:57.940 They're able to see that there is one use of that particular piece of property
00:14:03.040 that is criminal and they let us regulate who gets a driver's license
00:14:07.260 and who registers a car.
00:14:08.760 So I'm just going to take that analogy a little bit further.
00:14:11.180 They can regulate the criminal use of firearms.
00:14:13.360 They can go after the bad guys who are breaking into people's houses with crossbows.
00:14:16.800 And we will then regulate the legal use of firearms
00:14:20.000 so you can continue to own them, collect them,
00:14:22.820 use them for sport shooting, use them for hunting,
00:14:25.000 and use them for other purposes.
00:14:26.860 So we're working right now on what a legislative framework
00:14:30.560 for an Alberta firearms license would look like.
00:14:33.040 And we're going to fight it out
00:14:34.260 because property and civil rights are our jurisdiction
00:14:37.700 under section 91 of the Constitution.

00:15:15.240 because Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe
00:15:16.680 said that any of the mail delivery services
00:15:20.380 were not allowed to convey these firearms.

00:15:25.080 that they can use as well.
00:15:26.440 We will, we've also passed our own Firearms Act

00:15:33.080 for anyone to get the permit that they need
00:15:34.840 to participate in that program.

00:15:40.280 So in short, you'll see that us and Saskatchewan
00:15:43.400 are going to do whatever we can
00:15:44.760 to make sure that we're defending firearms owners' rights.

00:18:34.680 it has been a distraction for all of us in many ways,
00:18:38.100 because we're out there protesting a war
00:18:41.140 that we really can't control either way.
00:18:43.160 And I think what we've lost because of that,

00:18:47.860 is that we have been distracted from the fact
00:18:50.200 that this anti-child agenda in Canada marches on.
00:18:54.880 The LGBTQ plus agenda marches on.
00:18:58.200 The woke politics continues,
00:19:00.120 because we've got people focused on a war in the Middle East.
00:19:02.900 And is this going to be much of a factor this year,
00:19:05.080 or can we really say it's going to be an all-faith meeting
00:19:08.320 of people who love their children?

00:19:13.900 I mean, hands off our kids, David, as you know,

00:19:21.520 Everybody, if you look at the fabric of hands off our kids,

00:19:27.660 There's Jews, there's Christians, there's Muslims.

00:19:34.340 you know, the Bible, the Torah, and the Quran.

00:19:50.580 I mean, you can't blame people for being distracted

00:19:55.880 by the genocide happening in Palestine.

00:20:02.560 We want peace, you know, for everybody.
00:20:05.080 I mean, you know, Jews, Christians, Muslims, you name it.
00:20:08.900 So you guys have been seeing protests throughout,
00:20:13.320 not just Canada, but throughout the world,
00:20:15.700 because obviously that's turned into a big spiral
00:20:19.960 throughout the Middle East.
00:20:21.240 I'm actually, I exist in Canada
00:20:23.340 because my parents fled the first war in Lebanon
00:20:26.380 when Israel invaded Lebanon.
00:20:27.940 So I understand where that hurt comes from.
00:20:32.500 I also understand that war hurts everybody.
00:20:37.680 And in this country, the people protesting,
00:20:40.940 they forget about the Antifa, the government plants
00:20:44.280 in the groups that say radical messages,
00:20:46.780 because the people protesting condemn those messages.
00:20:50.660 Now, you got kids that, you know, cheer anything.
00:20:53.300 And I don't think they're hearing
00:20:54.820 what some of these people are saying in the protest.
00:20:58.500 But at the end of the day,
00:21:00.240 people are busy with Palestinian protests

00:21:05.120 but they do care about kids and Canadian kids.
00:21:10.100 Now, it has depleted some of our activities, of course,

00:21:22.640 these people love this nation.

00:21:27.120 I've seen, you know, Christian Canadians
