Summary

Wim Hof is a breathwork and cold exposure expert whose breathwork methods have led to personal and communal biological and anatomical breakthroughs. In our conversation at Community, we talked about his techniques and how they provide a meaningful alternative to the medical industry and big pharma, and his belief that all of us are able to intercede in our own health, accessing deep power within us that can stop us suffering from some of the most life-threatening conditions in the world. 00:00:57.000 Hello there, you Awakening Wonders!
00:00:59.000 Thank you for joining me today.
00:01:00.000 If you're watching us on YouTube, there's a link right there in the description.
00:01:03.000 Very subtly do this so the algorithm don't spot it.
00:01:05.000 Join us over on the other place where we can speak freely.
00:01:08.000 Because Wim Hof, the Iceman, is a fascinating chap, let me tell you.
00:01:13.000 Because in addition to his powerful breathwork methods and his dalliances with extreme cold, he has powerful scientific evidence that reveals the depth to which the Replace your own natural immunity, a phrase that until recently you weren't able to use.
00:01:32.000 You might know him because of his astonishing feats, swimming under ice, climbing mountains in his pants.
00:01:37.000 In our conversation at Community, we talked about his techniques and how they provide a meaningful alternative to the medical industry and big pharma.
00:01:44.000 And, interestingly, his belief that all of us are able to intercede in our own health, Accessing deep power within us that can stop us suffering from some of the most life-threatening conditions in the world And as you'll know if you watch the Kali means episode and as you'll know if you follow our content closely Conditions that are inflicted due to big food and big pharma policies to an extraordinary degree We talk about the pandemic and we talk about the necessity of gathering such as community.
00:02:14.000 I hope you join us next time You're gonna love this conversation Hello.
00:02:18.000 I'm being joined by Wim Hof, who you may know as the Iceman, whose breathwork and cold exposure techniques have led to personal and communal biological and anatomical breakthroughs.
00:02:32.000 Thanks for joining me for this conversation, Wim.
00:02:34.000 Thanks, Russell, for having me.
00:02:36.000 It's lovely to be at Community, at this beautiful festival, which is about, of course, individual wellness and community awakening.
00:02:44.000 How do your techniques, Wim, pose a challenge to Big Pharma, to the mentality of Big Pharma, which some people say is a sort of mentality of keeping people sick.
00:02:56.000 I don't want to be simplistic, but it seems that Big Pharma does require a certain degree of institutional sickness.
00:03:02.000 I don't know how it crept in, but Big Pharma is big because we let them.
00:03:07.000 We let them and we don't make use of our independence.
00:03:11.000 We are not built to go to a doctor in nature.
00:03:15.000 We are built to heal ourselves.
00:03:17.000 Only we are disconnected inside of our own systems.
00:03:22.000 We get into schools, into the system.
00:03:24.000 We get into a narrow consciousness.
00:03:28.000 Which in the end makes us able to control partially our body and mind and we get conditioned and then when something happens we don't know how to get into the depth no more because we had no control of that from the beginning because we are too much brainwashed.
00:03:48.000 Too much cooled in certain patterns.
00:03:52.000 And now we have come up with new ways to regain power over what is ours by the laws of Mother Nature.
00:04:03.000 I realize now, for the first time, that you're an anarchist and a libertarian.
00:04:07.000 You believe in individual freedom, don't you?
00:04:09.000 It's very, very important to you to be free.
00:04:11.000 This is called Stay Free with Russell Brand, our channel, for a reason.
00:04:15.000 And that's because we believe in as much autonomy and as much independence as possible.
00:04:22.000 But when we say stuff like that about Big Pharma, I'm mindful that my mum's had cancer, say, eight times, and she's got well through, like, therapies like radiotherapy, chemotherapy.
00:04:31.000 You know, my mother, it might be argued, is alive because of the expertise in medicine, because of the dedication of doctors.
00:04:38.000 So, what is it that you're saying, Wim, about Big Pharma that's separate from what we all understand to be areas of science and medicine that are obviously keeping people alive and are beneficial?
00:04:49.000 Where is the distinction?
00:04:50.000 Where is the line drawn?
00:04:52.000 Let me tell you a little story to make that clear.
00:04:55.000 At a certain moment there came a mother to my home, a mother of two children, five and seven years, both with brain tumors.
00:05:04.000 And the whole society, and chemotherapists, and oncologists, and the departments, and so forth, and she went to all the doctors and they could not help her.
00:05:15.000 Because their children, both of them, had a very low developed immune system.
00:05:22.000 And she was like, maybe you can do something.
00:05:27.000 I said, I don't know what I can do, but I will go to the end with you, until they are cured.
00:05:34.000 And she broke into tears, which I feel still now, because that's real!
00:05:40.000 We cannot take care of our own children?
00:05:42.000 Then what has happened?
00:05:44.000 Is it an industry, or what is this?
00:05:47.000 The thing is, at that moment I felt a deep urge to help this woman.
00:05:53.000 Not just because of philosophy, because of an innate capacity!
00:05:58.000 Because I'm here to take care of children as a puppy.
00:06:03.000 So I did that.
00:06:04.000 She broke into tears because for the first time she met a person who was not saying it is impossible to treat them.
00:06:13.000 They cannot go into chemotherapy.
00:06:16.000 It's hopeless.
00:06:17.000 Sorry, we are against the wall with this.
00:06:22.000 And there you have a mother, desperate and all, seeking answers, seeking possibilities, seeking hope.
00:06:30.000 And she found it there.
00:06:31.000 And that was me, a human response.
00:06:35.000 And then we started.
00:06:37.000 I said, yeah, crying is good.
00:06:39.000 Stop now, and now we're going to start.
00:06:42.000 And it only took one week, or actually eight days, because they were being controlled by doctors on their immune cells, every two weeks, to see if they might be now able to get into chemotherapy.
00:07:03.000 But they were too low already for too long a time, It only took eight days of a little bit of cold, and playfully doing the breathing, breathing exercises, and playfully going into the cold.
00:07:15.000 Eight days!
00:07:16.000 And their immune cells multiplied in the two children, peas on that, ten times!
00:07:24.000 Ten times!
00:07:25.000 Suddenly, from the 300 children in that oncological department, all with cancers, they were the only kids a good bear, double dose, chemo.
00:07:37.000 So I'm working actually with the pharmaceuticals and I give them actually work
00:07:43.000 and they were able suddenly to take double dose and still don't feel it, don't feel the chemo.
00:07:51.000 Because they have so much energy through the cold and through the breathing.
00:07:55.000 So, this is the way I work.
00:07:58.000 I have nothing against the pharmaceuticals or nothing against nobody, but I also say we have an innate capacity which is far beyond what we think is possible.
00:08:12.000 Mmm, I see.
00:08:13.000 So this particular story you're saying, there was one child with her mother, and there are two children.
00:08:19.000 Yeah.
00:08:20.000 And both of these children, they knew what their immune response was like prior to your techniques, and they knew what the test... All measured.
00:08:26.000 So, you're saying that we have within us, all of us, an inherent capacity to heal ourselves that we are not exploring, and you're saying that both breathwork and exposure to the cold can awaken these techniques.
00:08:39.000 Will they work for cancer?
00:08:40.000 Will they work for heart disease?
00:08:42.000 Will they work for aging?
00:08:43.000 Anything!
00:08:44.000 Anything!
00:08:45.000 Why?
00:08:45.000 How can it be so robust?
00:08:46.000 How can it work for anything, Wim?
00:08:48.000 Because nature has provided us with these innate capacities.
00:08:51.000 Only we came into an industrialized comfort zone behavior which has alienated most of our powers and stimulation.
00:09:01.000 If you go into the cult, you train the biggest organ of ours, which is our skin.
00:09:07.000 And all the electroreceptors, temperature receptors, vascular receptors, they come out in the skin.
00:09:14.000 They need stimulation.
00:09:16.000 So deep stimulation comes to millions of receptors.
00:09:21.000 Connected to 125,000 kilometers of vascular channeling.
00:09:27.000 That is capillaries, arteries, and veins.
00:09:29.000 And they are connected to the heart.
00:09:31.000 So when all the muscles, called the endothelium, which was also the problem in COVID, The endothelium got perforated through IL-6, IL-8, that's inflammatory markers.
00:09:45.000 And I told the doctors, but nobody's listening to me, because how can he have a solution?
00:09:51.000 That's not possible.
00:09:52.000 OK, let's go from COVID and get back.
00:09:56.000 The thing is, endothelium is millions of little primitive muscles in the cardiovascular system.
00:10:02.000 They begin to help the blood flow to go through, so the blood will go much better to old cells, by which you get a lot more energy in the mitochondria.
00:10:13.000 And thus, a cold shower a day keeps the doctor away.
00:10:16.000 Even the doctor is doing it.
00:10:18.000 It means your performance goes way up, the energy, and the heart rate goes down, because all the millions of little muscles suddenly help the blood flow go through.
00:10:27.000 And so, the heart, which, if it goes in an accelerated pace, creates a signal to the liver to create cortisol and glucose.
00:10:38.000 And that is stress, stress, stress.
00:10:40.000 We are constantly in stress, because we have a stressful condition made by the comfort zone behavior, which not stimulates all our functioning.
00:10:51.000 And there is the problem.
00:10:52.000 And then you get killer number one in our society, It's cardiovascular-related diseases.
00:10:58.000 And hundreds, possibly billions of people are suffering from low condition of life energetically because of the cardiovascular condition becoming so deteriorated, so weak.
00:11:12.000 Hey, muscle not trained?
00:11:16.000 You don't use it, you lose it.
00:11:17.000 And it's a very simple question.
00:11:20.000 But if you bring it like simple, nobody listens.
00:11:26.000 So you have to make it a bit more complicated.
00:11:29.000 So I understand what you're saying.
00:11:30.000 You're saying that we've gotten out of touch with how we were evolved to live.
00:11:35.000 The way that we're supposed to move, the way that we're supposed to eat, the way that we're supposed to be exposed to our environment.
00:11:41.000 And we've become conditioned creatures that live sedentary lifestyles in various cubes and boxes, eating food that is overly processed, Taking pharmaceutical drugs that are not life-enhancing or life-saving, but are just part of this ongoing system of perpetual ill health.
00:11:59.000 You've made it very clear that you're not saying that all medicine is bad.
00:12:02.000 That would be a foolish thing to say.
00:12:04.000 But there is a kind of an endemic strain in our culture of keeping us sick.
00:12:10.000 What do you think it is, Wim, about these techniques that are connecting us to our deep nature?
00:12:17.000 And also, can anybody do this?
00:12:20.000 Like, when I think of someone like my mum, who's in her 70s, or my dad, who's 8 years old, or people that are watching this that might have conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, cancer, All sorts of heart conditions.
00:12:34.000 How can this deep breath and exposure to the cold be good for us?
00:12:37.000 And also, isn't it potentially risky?
00:12:39.000 I bet some people say that, you know, you could hurt people doing this stuff.
00:12:43.000 Yeah, a wrongful practice is bad anytime.
00:12:47.000 The last time I climbed Kilimanjaro, the oldest person with whom I climbed was 76 years old.
00:12:57.000 And normally Kilimanjaro is being done between 5 and 9 days.
00:13:01.000 Fully dressed.
00:13:02.000 And then only 40% summit.
00:13:05.000 Yes?
00:13:06.000 5 to 9 days.
00:13:07.000 Fully dressed.
00:13:08.000 Because it's very cold up there.
00:13:10.000 And then 40% summit.
00:13:13.000 So, now I went with this person.
00:13:13.000 Yes?
00:13:16.000 He used the breathing.
00:13:17.000 He used the motivation.
00:13:19.000 Motivation is the power of intention.
00:13:21.000 That is a focused neurological connection from the mind willfully to the body.
00:13:29.000 That is now proven in science.
00:13:31.000 It's a little bit ahead of psychiatric understanding, etc.
00:13:35.000 But it is coming because we already proved it.
00:13:38.000 But this person, 76 years old, no former experience in mountaineering.
00:13:45.000 76 years old and suffering from Lyme disease.
00:13:49.000 He comes with me, uses the breathing techniques.
00:13:52.000 5 to 9 days.
00:13:54.000 He did it in 31 hours.
00:13:56.000 In a shorts.
00:13:58.000 To the summit.
00:14:00.000 He has no Lyme's disease anymore.
00:14:01.000 He connected so deeply inside.
00:14:04.000 And it doesn't take 20 years of yogic training or something.
00:14:08.000 It's your awakening.
00:14:10.000 Awaken, community.
00:14:12.000 Awaken, Victor.
00:14:14.000 Just awaken to your innate capacity and say all the rest is bullshit.
00:14:21.000 You got so much more, at least you have anything to take, to get rid of the obstacles between you and the realization of your beautiful soul.
00:14:31.000 Because we have forgotten about the soul.
00:14:34.000 And that soul is a love.
00:14:37.000 It's like, when you are in love, do you think?
00:14:40.000 No, no.
00:14:41.000 You're not thinking, you've got power!
00:14:43.000 It's not this way, that way, you do that!
00:14:47.000 I go to my love!
00:14:49.000 So that power we have in here for our lives.
00:14:54.000 And in the end, we exemplify then for our children, for our beloveds.
00:15:00.000 We show confidence.
00:15:02.000 Confidence is confidere.
00:15:04.000 Confidere is with belief.
00:15:08.000 That is confidence.
00:15:09.000 Within yourself, into the depth, makes you able to overcome any That sounds almost like crazy, but I am bloody crazy about my life and my wife.
00:15:24.000 So, in a way, it's like what you're describing to us is a dormant capacity that we've always thought of as the domain of magic.
00:15:34.000 And when you hear a story like, oh, there was a man who's 76 with Lyme's disease who climbed Kilimanjaro in 31 hours, I almost want to like, right, give me that footage.
00:15:44.000 I want to see a before test and an after test that says the pros, the presence of Lyme's and then the absence of Lyme's.
00:15:50.000 We got it all.
00:15:51.000 Because we've been good.
00:15:52.000 Because we've been trained, Wim, to believe that what we require is a kind of... Most people now, they're gonna live lives where they go through an education system that's, in many regards, in my opinion, about instilling conformity and losing connection with your body.
00:16:08.000 And I really respect teachers and devoted people in all professions.
00:16:13.000 I love and I regard highly.
00:16:15.000 But I think that... Do you want some more coffee, darling?
00:16:16.000 Because you don't fucking seem like someone who needs any more.
00:16:18.000 Do you want water?
00:16:20.000 Water or this?
00:16:20.000 That kombucha, do you want that?
00:16:23.000 Yeah, yeah, kombucha.
00:16:24.000 Nice.
00:16:25.000 Could have said anything then, couldn't I?
00:16:28.000 It's whiskey, it's vodka, it's vampire blood.
00:16:33.000 If it is whiskey, then it is whimsky on the rocks.
00:16:36.000 I was thinking Wim Hof Coffee, Wim Hofie, and I think it would be a really good brand.
00:16:40.000 Do you want to be as strong as me?
00:16:43.000 Drink Wim Hofie!
00:16:45.000 Like that.
00:16:46.000 That's what I was thinking.
00:16:47.000 So...
00:16:48.000 Yeah, I suppose, in a way, our horizons have been brought low by institutions.
00:16:53.000 The reason when I was saying before, oh, you're an anarchist and a libertarian, is because you are clearly anti-institutional.
00:17:00.000 And being anti-institutional is not anti-education.
00:17:04.000 But I'm starting to feel, as I have young children myself, I want my children to be educated where I can see them.
00:17:09.000 I want them to learn about nature.
00:17:10.000 I want them to learn about literature.
00:17:12.000 I want them to learn about mathematics, I want them to learn about science and medicine,
00:17:15.000 I want them to learn whatever they're interested in and become who they are.
00:17:18.000 But even at schools that present themselves as progressive, I can see that primarily what they're teaching children is
00:17:24.000 how to be controlled.
00:17:26.000 They're closing children down.
00:17:29.000 When I ring the bell, everyone put their hand over their mouth.
00:17:31.000 Like, even a quite progressive school.
00:17:33.000 You know, they look like prisons.
00:17:35.000 Fences, bells, whistles.
00:17:37.000 Like, the conformity is the default of our society.
00:17:40.000 Whether it's with health, or whether it's with education, or whether it's with the arts or music.
00:17:45.000 It feels like everything is becoming commodified to an extraordinary degree.
00:17:48.000 In fact, Wim, I'm surprised that someone like you has been able to emerge, in a way.
00:17:53.000 When you started that show on the BBC, I thought, They can't have Wim Hof on the BBC.
00:17:57.000 I talked to Wim Hof.
00:17:59.000 Wim Hof, if you film him for 10 minutes, he'll say stuff like, Big Pharma needs to close down!
00:18:04.000 The government is corrupt!
00:18:05.000 It's like, how the fuck are they having him on BBC One at 8 o'clock?
00:18:05.000 The media!
00:18:08.000 It's gonna be crazy!
00:18:09.000 So how has someone like you broken through?
00:18:12.000 And what do you think needs to change about our media institutions?
00:18:16.000 How have you found it personally?
00:18:17.000 And have you, after a time of being quite celebrated, and please, God, I pray that the time of celebrating Wim Hof continues, because I think it's in all of our benefit, Have you experienced anything like people criticizing you, any kind of backlash, people saying that your claims are not true?
00:18:31.000 I get backlash already for the last 10 years and even more since 2007.
00:18:41.000 In 2007, I showed in New York very clearly how to control and influence the vagus nerve in the Feinstein Institute in Manassas, New York, under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Tracy, who's in the board of the jury for Nobel Prize winners in medical achievement.
00:19:04.000 He was supervising this and he took me and nobody was able to get into the vagus nerve and how to stimulate it and then I came and I did it!
00:19:04.000 Yeah?
00:19:14.000 I did it not a little bit, big time!
00:19:17.000 And if you are able to get into the vagus nerve and willfully, then that means the vagus nerve is directly related.
00:19:26.000 If you are able to suppress the activity of the vagus nerve, then you are suppressing inflammation.
00:19:32.000 And inflammation is the cause and effect of any disease.
00:19:37.000 So that should have been an alarm bell of Hey, we found it!
00:19:43.000 Eureka!
00:19:47.000 Eureka!
00:19:48.000 Right, nothing.
00:19:49.000 And this is this world.
00:19:52.000 There is an arrogance going on, there is a complex going on, and it's within the psychology, settled down, and it's well-rooted in our brains.
00:20:04.000 And it is holding us from feeling Empowered, like Mother Nature wants us to be, to be just happy, and strong, and healthy, and we in control.
00:20:16.000 And with that, learning about our deeper reality, namely the purpose of our soul, and to realize it, because that's the source.
00:20:25.000 And when the source goes, whoa, flows all!
00:20:29.000 And there I want to go, backlash or not, I don't care, I'm in life, I have no fear, and I go until it is all done, Mind me, all the gods are with me.
00:20:42.000 I'm going to realize the mission my mother gave me.
00:20:46.000 At the time of my birth, it was my mother who invocated, because I almost died as the second child, never expected, too long in the womb, And I was born in the cold of the hall just before entering into the operation room.
00:21:08.000 And my mother was just pushing me out there with all her belief, God-fearing.
00:21:14.000 She was never drunk, never smoked, never... But don't underestimate a mother.
00:21:21.000 She there, right there, would say, Oh God, let this child live.
00:21:25.000 I will make him a missionary.
00:21:29.000 I'm not going to disgrace my mother.
00:21:31.000 Before I go, I got it done.
00:21:34.000 That's for my mother, that's for your mother, and for all the mothers.
00:21:39.000 These techniques, Wim Hof, these techniques, it sounds like what you're describing is that all of us know that we can regenerate cells, all of us know that our cardiovascular systems are operating unconsciously, automatically, all of the time.
00:21:57.000 The heart is pumping, the blood is being oxygenated, dialysis is taking place, Thousands of synaptic connections are being formed.
00:22:06.000 Much of what you describe is the possibility of intervening with the processes that are usually happening beyond the remit of the individual self.
00:22:15.000 Is this what you're saying?
00:22:16.000 Is that you can intercede and intersect with the processes that the body... We all know that the body, if we are cut, The body will heal.
00:22:25.000 We all know that the heart is beating right now.
00:22:28.000 We know that the stomach acids, all of these thousands, millions of jobs, all of these connections are taking place.
00:22:33.000 And when you gave the example of the vagus nerve just then, and with some other examples that you've given in our previous conversations, it seems that you're saying that we can intercede with and direct these natural healing and regenerative processes.
00:22:49.000 Is that what you're saying, Wim?
00:22:51.000 Yes, it's called interoceptive Focus.
00:22:54.000 You got the sixth sense.
00:22:56.000 Everybody knows about the sixth sense.
00:22:58.000 Intuition.
00:22:59.000 I see dead people.
00:23:00.000 I see alive people.
00:23:02.000 Make jokes all the time.
00:23:04.000 And then you got the seventh sense.
00:23:06.000 It's a neurological network called the proprioception.
00:23:09.000 And then you got the eighth neurological network called interoception.
00:23:15.000 And interoception was thought of, you cannot willfully control that top-down regulating, you know, with your will, the body.
00:23:24.000 But now I showed very clearly to do so!
00:23:28.000 That was in Detroit.
00:23:29.000 In Detroit, I showed Interoceptive Focus.
00:23:32.000 That means top-down regulation, psychology over physiology.
00:23:36.000 It's there!
00:23:37.000 We are the healers.
00:23:39.000 And this professor, Professor Muzik, is saying Wim Hof has found the secret of placebo.
00:23:46.000 So, placebo is what we thought, hey, maybe he's saying, oh, this is a pill and it's going to work.
00:23:54.000 No, we don't need that anymore.
00:23:56.000 We don't need suggestive powers or any trickery of that kind.
00:24:00.000 It is our willfully controlled power to heal ourselves, which is a network.
00:24:09.000 But we have never learned how to connect That psychology over physiology, that neurological network, which is physical, like this, inside, and that makes us able to go up to the cell, past time and space, into ancestral trauma, into the DNA.
00:24:28.000 You can all see it!
00:24:30.000 And that the people are not taking it on, is because it doesn't make this, but it brings health!
00:24:37.000 It brings happiness.
00:24:38.000 It brings strength.
00:24:39.000 It brings trauma release.
00:24:41.000 It brings the soul.
00:24:43.000 It brings delight.
00:24:44.000 That is interoceptive focus.
00:24:47.000 And we found the key.
00:24:49.000 And we are handing it over to you, to you, to everybody who is watching this.
00:24:54.000 He is giving me platform for this.
00:24:57.000 But I do the signs all the time.
00:24:59.000 And I saw it.
00:25:02.000 And all these doctors, they say, yeah, Wim, this is the premise, this is where we don't see a solution here, because according to the books and the literature, we are not able to willfully control, say, what heals us, or what is the soul, proprioception, what is your space here in the time, Are you balanced out with your purpose and all?
00:25:32.000 All these deeper arcs are now related not anymore to abstract parcels of the brain.
00:25:40.000 I showed very recently in a new study how to control the subcortical higher functioning of the brain, which means whatever is A narrow-minded in our brain, now we are able to go out of that loop into all of our brain.
00:26:01.000 Imagine if we could do that.
00:26:04.000 Wouldn't that be amazing?
00:26:05.000 Now, that's happening.
00:26:07.000 It's here, the threshold of the unlimited power of the mind.
00:26:11.000 It's not me, it's physical and it's there.
00:26:15.000 It's like the first time they run the 100 meters within 10 seconds.
00:26:19.000 One year later, 10, 15 people could do it.
00:26:22.000 Just not that little bit more.
00:26:24.000 So you always will be behind me.
00:26:28.000 I want you to be, it's not competition, I want you to become the best of yourself.
00:26:35.000 The competition stops here, guys.
00:26:38.000 We are here to bring something that makes you the best of yourself.
00:26:43.000 So everybody, gold for everybody.
00:26:46.000 Or diamonds or whatever you want.
00:26:48.000 Interceptive healing then is perhaps something that's been around for a very long time.
00:26:53.000 Do you think that there is a lot of forgotten wisdom?
00:26:55.000 Do you think that when we're talking about healing traditions and yogis and even, if I may venture, a controversial example, Christ and the example of miracles, that it is possible perhaps to access energy sources and inner resources that we have forgotten and allowed to lay waste?
00:27:15.000 When I listen to you speak, Wim, it feels like a lot of the time what we're talking about is things have become commodities, things have become externalised that were previously granted.
00:27:25.000 Do you feel that when people are talking about the ability to heal, when people are talking in yogic traditions, when we Here are examples of spontaneous healing from cancer.
00:27:34.000 This placebo effect, the body's ability to heal itself if it's correctly directed and guided, is what all miraculous healing in the past has been built around.
00:27:47.000 Absolutely, absolutely.
00:27:49.000 Sometimes we just touch upon it.
00:27:52.000 I get so many examples of so many anecdotal evidence, means real people coming to me with cancers and with all kinds of motor or motorical diseases, even ALS.
00:28:06.000 I'm working with people with ALS.
00:28:08.000 Let me tell you, I eat monsters for breakfast.
00:28:12.000 Okay, give me cancer, give me ALS, give me pacemakers, give me this, give me that.
00:28:17.000 I take it on because I believe.
00:28:20.000 I got faith.
00:28:21.000 I got a faith which is my right to exercise since I was 12 years old.
00:28:27.000 Twelve years old, I was talking to my friends, like, being together, and I said, hey, if the world, if they think war, pollution, abuse, depression, disease, etc.
00:28:41.000 is normal, then I think the world is sick.
00:28:44.000 I think it is sick, and I'm going to do something about it.
00:28:48.000 Twelve years old, eh?
00:28:50.000 There I pledged the oath, I'm going to do something about it.
00:28:53.000 How and what?
00:28:54.000 I don't know.
00:28:55.000 I just do it.
00:28:57.000 That's my philosophy.
00:28:58.000 I just do it.
00:28:59.000 And now I'm able to bring the neurological networks, which were top-down regulated, considered not to be done by humans, I bring it to scientific evidence.
00:29:14.000 So, it is now to you to take on, once again, an abstracted, over-individualized society brought in by schooling and Rockefellers and what kind of asshole... Sorry, my French, but they should have been out from the beginning.
00:29:35.000 Didn't happen.
00:29:37.000 Long before, in the time of Christ, and Buddha, and Zarathustra, and whatever, all these beautiful people, they tried to revive what is ours, and that is the power of healing, and to be holy.
00:29:50.000 Because we are not born half.
00:29:53.000 We are born to be holy, and to get there.
00:29:57.000 Consciously.
00:29:58.000 And so all these great civilizations of before, 15,000, it's all... We have to break this narrative that we should be dependent on industries, healthy economies based on sick people.
00:30:14.000 That doesn't make sense!
00:30:16.000 But still we are in it and we are so over mesmerized because they control us through the wrong schooling by which we do not exercise our powers.
00:30:26.000 We are powerless.
00:30:30.000 See, when you talk about being a little kid, I can't imagine you ever being normal.
00:30:34.000 I can't imagine you doing normal stuff.
00:30:36.000 I can't imagine you having to sort of, like, you know, wash a pair of underpants.
00:30:40.000 I bet you don't wear underpants.
00:30:41.000 I can't imagine you having to do, like... I can't imagine you being intimidated.
00:30:45.000 Because even though, right, I recognise things, I recognise... I have purpose.
00:30:50.000 I've always known that unusual stuff was going to happen.
00:30:50.000 I've always known.
00:30:53.000 I never doubted it.
00:30:54.000 Even when there was nothing, even when it was just despair and addiction and all those things.
00:30:58.000 There was something else.
00:30:59.000 There was always something else.
00:31:00.000 But I think that I get, like, intimidated sometimes and I get afraid and sometimes I feel inferior and I feel worried and scared.
00:31:10.000 And I don't feel like you do.
00:31:12.000 When was the last time you felt anything like that?
00:31:14.000 Because I'd like to go fearlessly through life, never bothering about anything.
00:31:17.000 Or do you think I'd be dangerous?
00:31:20.000 What is it?
00:31:21.000 When was the last... Do you experience these things, Wim Hof?
00:31:24.000 Things like, you know, because obviously you've been through, we've discussed it on our previous occasions, and I'm mindful that your daughter is in the room, but that you lost your wife and your partner, and this is like such a terrible tragedy, but I don't see in you anything other than ROAR!
00:31:38.000 And like incredible intelligence and an ability to communicate and to convey energy and to alter states, and earlier today it looked like you were communicating even with the weather for a moment.
00:31:48.000 But like, so I don't sort of see in you like, I'm nervous, I don't know what to do.
00:31:52.000 Like I still have conversations like, what should I say about that?
00:31:54.000 What should I do?
00:31:55.000 You know, like normal stuff.
00:31:56.000 Do you have those kind of sort of normal self-doubts and fears that most people have?
00:32:03.000 I have to think.
00:32:04.000 Well, it might be the cold and I'm getting amnesia or something.
00:32:08.000 But I can't remember really when I was not convinced that I'm able to do something about this shit show that is ongoing.
00:32:19.000 Because it is a shit show.
00:32:20.000 Come on, guys.
00:32:22.000 It's coming.
00:32:23.000 You can see it.
00:32:24.000 And nobody seems to be able to make a change.
00:32:29.000 So let it be us.
00:32:30.000 Are you a very spontaneous person?
00:32:31.000 Do you not plan ahead?
00:32:33.000 Like, do you sort of go, we're doing this today!
00:32:34.000 I'd figure that you're not going, right, Tuesday, do you know what I'm going to do?
00:32:38.000 I'm going to go ten pin bowling.
00:32:40.000 Then Wednesday, I'm going to have a haircut.
00:32:43.000 I figure that you're just rolling through life on the river of yourself.
00:32:47.000 Yes, I do.
00:32:48.000 Go with the flow.
00:32:49.000 Go with the flow.
00:32:50.000 Like today, hey man, who is going to control the weather?
00:32:55.000 Oh, you've got a beautiful setup here.
00:32:58.000 You're going to have the space and then do poetry very softly and get interacted with the people.
00:33:04.000 Shit, rain comes!
00:33:06.000 Nobody's able to listen to your poetry.
00:33:09.000 Fuck off!
00:33:10.000 No!
00:33:10.000 Just be there!
00:33:12.000 Make the people strong!
00:33:13.000 Interact with God!
00:33:15.000 With the weather!
00:33:15.000 Be Thor!
00:33:17.000 That is nature!
00:33:18.000 That is who we are!
00:33:19.000 And if that gets a little bit there, because I did all the signs, just be happy, strong and healthy.
00:33:26.000 Rest is bullshit.
00:33:30.000 And as long as the bullshit is there, then breathe, motherfucker, and take the damn cold shower, and or ice bath.
00:33:39.000 Hey, outside?
00:33:40.000 Ice bath.
00:33:42.000 Ice bath soon?
00:33:43.000 If I don't do an ice bath, like a couple of days, and I just get in, and then I think, oh shit, man, I'm a genius.
00:33:54.000 You know, I have self-esteem, like, I'm just here.
00:33:57.000 I got the right to be myself.
00:34:00.000 And when I see the iceberg, the icy water, it's a power of nobility, and you said it well.
00:34:06.000 I used that on stage.
00:34:11.000 When you get your hand into that freezing, powerful, cold water, then remind yourself that power can be yours.
00:34:22.000 When you go in and you adapt and it's going to be yours and we missed out on that power because it is able to awaken Awaken that deep primordial power within.
00:34:39.000 And if you are then, because you are doing it, going controlled, consciously, into that cold water, and you make it your own, then you are into the deepest part of the brain.
00:34:52.000 Once you are there, you're connected, then suddenly you are able to go anywhere inside your brain.
00:34:58.000 If you go to the deepest, where else can you not go?
00:35:02.000 It is as simple as that.
00:35:04.000 Because it is only to retrieve what is ours.
00:35:07.000 Our mind, our body, our soul, our heart.
00:35:11.000 To pass it on to our children.
00:35:13.000 For God's sake!
00:35:15.000 If that is not there, then what is there?
00:35:19.000 You see?
00:35:21.000 That's love.
00:35:23.000 It's love, powerful, you take it on, and very tender.
00:35:27.000 Man, if you see your cute little kid, you can die and live and reincarnate and you can go to the stars, it doesn't matter.
00:35:36.000 That matters.
00:35:38.000 That's where we are April.
00:35:40.000 Wim Hof, of course if we do these things, if you teach people that they can, to a significant degree, to a very significant degree, heal themselves, if you teach people to a very significant degree, there is no need for mediating power structures like the state, there is no need for corporate structures, there is a need for organization, there is a need for communication, there is a need There's a need for media, there's a need for medicine, there's a need for travel, there's a need for technology.
00:36:10.000 But the framing of these institutions could be radically altered if a significant number of the population were to become aware, present and activated.
00:36:20.000 If this message becomes conveyed to a large degree, I figure that there will be significant and powerful opposition Oh yes, but what I say, if the governments are not representing the good of the people, then we have to learn to govern ourselves.
00:36:42.000 And this is what I bring.
00:36:43.000 And this is good for the carpenter, the doctor, for the road worker, for the pharmaceutical director or employee.
00:36:52.000 It's good for anybody.
00:36:53.000 My message is love.
00:36:55.000 It's a universal power which is good for everybody.
00:36:58.000 And therein is autonomy.
00:37:00.000 So we have shown how to regain control over the autonomic nervous system, but also over the autonomous processes in the brain.
00:37:10.000 So we have shown that in science.
00:37:12.000 It's there.
00:37:13.000 And that is autonomy.
00:37:16.000 If you are able willfully to control that what makes you sick, to prevent, to feel powerful, happy and strong, to have a control over the endocrine system, over the cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, all the systems, to go into the depth any time when you need revision, you are like a garage in your car.
00:37:38.000 The auto is Greek for you, yourself.
00:37:42.000 Yeah, that's the auto.
00:37:43.000 Auto is not outside, it's inside.
00:37:45.000 It's our vehicle.
00:37:47.000 Let it be your good ride, man!
00:37:48.000 This is life!
00:37:51.000 Yeah!
00:37:52.000 It's good!
00:37:53.000 Yeah, you're right about all of this stuff.
00:37:56.000 So you don't feel that there are, when it comes to sort of like ordinary everyday politics, for example, the Republican Party, the Democrat Party, whatever's happening in your native Netherlands, How do you deal with issues around left and right?
00:38:10.000 Issues like immigration versus national borders?
00:38:14.000 Issues like redistribution and redistribution of resources?
00:38:19.000 Issues like money and politics?
00:38:20.000 Are these things that you think about on a granular level?
00:38:23.000 Or do you feel that by raising the level of consciousness and individual power, these things will, in a sense, automatically be dealt with?
00:38:32.000 Because it feels to me that we live in...
00:38:34.000 Systemic corruption to an unprecedented degree, where the relationships between private, financial and corporate interests and the state is so kind of, what do I want to say, immersive, that it's a difficult thing to disrupt, and indeed it's getting worse.
00:38:48.000 Like, with some new censorship bills that are being passed right now in the EU and across the anglophonic countries, it would be possible for social media platform, for the EU for example, to say, You're not allowed to talk about these subjects online, it's censored, and the social media platforms would just have to take it down.
00:39:06.000 So information like you're conveying right now, which I would say would cause some significant financial interest to incur massive losses, massive losses, this is the kind of information that would be censored.
00:39:19.000 So I'm guessing that you believe in free speech, but where else do you stand politically, Wim?
00:39:24.000 Do you think there's anyone in the political space that is conveying important and necessary information?
00:39:29.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:39:31.000 If I go in politics and I see that, then I think of poor devils.
00:39:36.000 Poor devils.
00:39:38.000 The poor devils should not be in power because then you get the American situation like right now.
00:39:43.000 It's like ridiculous and people see it and people are suffering and there is carelessness and all that.
00:39:52.000 So what I say, I'm not left wing, I'm not right wing, I'm both the wings.
00:39:56.000 I want to fly.
00:39:58.000 I'm a bird.
00:39:59.000 I want freedom.
00:40:00.000 I want to feel it every day and be able to pass it on to my children.
00:40:05.000 Learn to govern your own families.
00:40:08.000 Because it's abstracted so much that the money is abstracted.
00:40:12.000 What is money?
00:40:13.000 In the end it is our representation of our energy.
00:40:17.000 So, and what is what they are doing with it?
00:40:21.000 A vaccine industry?
00:40:24.000 What is... Hey, come on.
00:40:25.000 I know all about mRNA.
00:40:28.000 I'm into the cell with the best DNA researchers.
00:40:31.000 I know my shit, man.
00:40:33.000 I walk my talk like I'm out there.
00:40:35.000 I look like a hobo.
00:40:36.000 And I'm a Viking.
00:40:38.000 And I can be anything.
00:40:40.000 But one thing is the most important.
00:40:43.000 I'm free.
00:40:44.000 I'm my soul.
00:40:46.000 And I bring it there, where it needs to be.
00:40:48.000 We're over-abstracted in this society.
00:40:51.000 Over-individualized.
00:40:52.000 They got us by the balls.
00:40:54.000 I don't know what.
00:40:55.000 Not even man has got us by the balls.
00:40:57.000 Not even women.
00:40:58.000 I don't know anymore.
00:41:00.000 Where's the human?
00:41:03.000 That confusion is going to stop if you only be happy, strong, and healthy.
00:41:07.000 That's what I say about politics, because it's a lot of bollocks, and just be... I mean, the rest is bullshit.
00:41:17.000 And I am not interested in bullshit.
00:41:20.000 Left-wing, right-wing, no, no, no, no.
00:41:23.000 The American Eagle was two wings, so go fly.
00:41:27.000 People watching us will be... they ask this a lot.
00:41:29.000 They... I think a lot of people now are aware of what we're talking about.
00:41:34.000 The power of the individual to self-heal.
00:41:37.000 The power of the individual to self-govern.
00:41:40.000 They recognize how hypocritical and corrupt our institutions have become.
00:41:44.000 How out of control corporatism has become.
00:41:48.000 How there is a march towards globalism and centralized power.
00:41:52.000 People can see that it's happening.
00:41:54.000 I got him!
00:41:54.000 I got him!
00:41:56.000 It's great that you're creating the premise.
00:41:59.000 Because recently I showed how to control, for the first time in neuroscience, in brain scans.
00:42:10.000 Brain scans don't lie.
00:42:11.000 If I don't do nothing, I got a brain like anybody.
00:42:15.000 But if I use the power of my intention, suddenly I'm able to go into the abstract parcels of the brain, into the subcortical higher functioning of the brain.
00:42:26.000 And we could not do that before.
00:42:29.000 That's why Everything is so abstracted in society, in politics, in the systemic way to control us, to exterminate wildlife, nature, to come up with DNA and mRNA modifications, etc.
00:42:47.000 And more, more abstracting, because we have no control over our abstract parcels in the brain.
00:42:56.000 But now we have.
00:42:58.000 Now we have, so we can bring this down, which has grown out of control, and nobody seems to stop.
00:43:06.000 Let me say, I'm a puppy, I'm gonna stop this, because it is shit, and it is jeopardizing my family, and your family, and your family, and your family, and anybody's family.
00:43:18.000 So, we're gonna bring back common sense, and we go through science, so there is no speculation, no obstructing there anymore possible.
00:43:28.000 So, there it is.
00:43:29.000 You can look it up.
00:43:31.000 I gave you all the footage of the professors explaining what I've been doing lately.
00:43:37.000 And together with this, the last thing for implementing into schools, very important, globally, is a control for children through a universal technique that works within a half hour.
00:43:55.000 That enabled every child in the world, in schools, to perform a lot better, and to have much more power of regulation over their mood.
00:44:06.000 No more shootings in the schools, and pestering, because children get into control of their own mood.
00:44:12.000 Wouldn't that be interesting?
00:44:14.000 Governments, are you listening?
00:44:19.000 Again?
00:44:21.000 The proof is there, and we did it with 100 people, and we want to make it into an app together with the Penn State University and Rotterdam University, talking and dealing with professors.
00:44:34.000 And we are doing this together, and we did it with 100 people.
00:44:39.000 And it shows that if you do these breathing techniques, and you use your intent, If you don't do it, you see task performance in front of the computer, and then stressful signals come through your earphones in, and you are disturbed.
00:44:56.000 And then you can see that.
00:44:57.000 I give you all the footage and you see that.
00:45:00.000 Then you see a lot of grey.
00:45:01.000 That is stress in the brain.
00:45:04.000 Stress registration.
00:45:06.000 Yes?
00:45:07.000 And then the black line is task performance.
00:45:10.000 You do your tasks.
00:45:11.000 There's a certain part of the brain.
00:45:13.000 And then the rest of the brain is into stress registration.
00:45:17.000 If you get long-term stress, it's detrimental.
00:45:20.000 It's to the quality of life.
00:45:20.000 Yeah?
00:45:22.000 You have no control over your brain anymore.
00:45:22.000 You begin to pester.
00:45:25.000 Then you get the shootings and all that shit.
00:45:27.000 You get over there because of stress.
00:45:30.000 Too much stress.
00:45:32.000 You have no normal life.
00:45:33.000 It's like you get into a system and you have to endure stress all the time.
00:45:38.000 It's like somebody is pestering you.
00:45:41.000 And at a certain moment you are just enough.
00:45:44.000 And you begin to wildly shoot your own friends.
00:45:48.000 You don't recognize your soul, your being, your empathy.
00:45:52.000 Nothing anymore.
00:45:53.000 Yes?
00:45:54.000 Okay.
00:45:54.000 Now, we got 100 people.
00:45:56.000 And then, the people who weren't doing the techniques, they were into a lot of grey area of stress while doing the task performance.
00:46:07.000 Long term of that?
00:46:09.000 Detrimental.
00:46:11.000 And we know all the situations.
00:46:13.000 And it's such an unovercomeable problem.
00:46:16.000 We cannot do anything.
00:46:17.000 We are here.
00:46:20.000 Oh, we can't do.
00:46:22.000 We are doctors and professors and here we are.
00:46:24.000 We can't do anything about this shooting.
00:46:27.000 Oh, the gun law, etc.
00:46:30.000 What a perverted paradigm that is, and where all the politics and the powerless politics, political leaders, man!
00:46:39.000 There is no power over there.
00:46:43.000 We saw it.
00:46:44.000 So look into this, then.
00:46:46.000 The people who were doing breathing exercises, just starting in a half hour, they had at least half amount of stress with the same task performance.
00:46:58.000 And the people doing regular breathing exercises, really believing in the breathing exercises, Going deeper within themselves, they had about one-tenth of the stress.
00:47:11.000 That long term gives them the confidence, the power over their mood.
00:47:16.000 They are just relaxed.
00:47:18.000 They're not gonna shoot somebody.
00:47:20.000 A happy man doesn't go to war.
00:47:23.000 A happy man is not into possession.
00:47:26.000 It's only when you have this stressful, high-tense being that you want an alternative for your shitty life.
00:47:35.000 Then you go for money, entertainment, hookers, this, that.
00:47:41.000 Long live our society!
00:47:44.000 Totally fucked up.
00:47:47.000 Alec, do you know what I realize when I'm talking to you?
00:47:49.000 It's like we've got like an ATM, a cash machine inside ourselves and no one's using it.
00:47:56.000 No one's using it.
00:47:57.000 Everyone's trying to take things from outside of themselves when it's available inside.
00:48:01.000 Money was the representation of your energy.
00:48:04.000 If you do the breathing and believing, you get infinite amount of energy Is it sinking?
00:48:13.000 It means even the cryptocurrency and, yeah, energy, money, it's in there.
00:48:22.000 Happy man doesn't go to war.
00:48:25.000 Unconditional love.
00:48:26.000 Let's talk unconditional love.
00:48:28.000 That's the way we, that's our intrinsic natural nature of ours.
00:48:34.000 Meditation should be there when you sit.
00:48:36.000 The chatterbox gone.
00:48:40.000 That is the new control going to be.
00:48:43.000 We are the future.
00:48:45.000 We are coming to you.
00:48:47.000 Not for you.
00:48:49.000 To you.
00:48:50.000 To give love, unconditional power over yourselves.
00:48:55.000 Amen.
00:48:55.000 It was always there.
00:48:59.000 Do you think in the pandemic period, Wim Hof, we were trained that there was nothing we could do to heal ourselves?
00:49:05.000 We were trained that the solutions lay outside of ourselves, and in particular in the hands of Big Pharma.
00:49:11.000 Do you think that this was something that was pushed very heavily?
00:49:14.000 Because a lot of things we were told during that time have had to be re-examined.
00:49:18.000 Do you think that there is an interest in keeping people disconnected from our own ability to heal?
00:49:24.000 And do you think that happened in particular during the pandemic period and that the pharmaceutical industry benefited from that?
00:49:30.000 Yes, I got on Instagram a little film made.
00:49:35.000 I had about 1.5 million views on that.
00:49:39.000 Which I do normally not have, but I just shot it right into the target.
00:49:45.000 Hey, they paralyzed our society, they paralyzed our families, they paralyzed ourselves with fear.
00:49:54.000 And all this doesn't need to happen.
00:49:57.000 We could take this as an opportunity to get back to ourselves instead of this abstracted world where we have become so dependent.
00:50:07.000 We want to go to the restaurant, to the film.
00:50:10.000 Suddenly we cannot go to the restaurant anymore, to the film, and to this, and to that.
00:50:15.000 Man, a good yogi, a good monk, or a good person rules himself, over himself.
00:50:22.000 It's an old Dutch saying, maybe in English too.
00:50:25.000 A good kit rules itself, you know?
00:50:31.000 It is able to contain itself.
00:50:32.000 We got too much out, so all this system is able to control that, but they cannot control your soul, ever.
00:50:42.000 Not even through AI and Robotica in the future.
00:50:47.000 So the future is here.
00:50:48.000 It's a simple choice.
00:50:51.000 Do you want to become your soul?
00:50:52.000 Or do you want to become a victim of this runaway, abstracted society creating what came out of our minds, but which is not connected to our soul?
00:51:08.000 It's a lesson of life.
00:51:10.000 So whatever, in the pandemic I get a lot of people with myocarditis and long-term COVID and we heal them.
00:51:18.000 Amazing, huh?
00:51:19.000 Oh, Wim, what are you saying?
00:51:23.000 I say, you motherfuckers, it's okay.
00:51:26.000 I love you.
00:51:27.000 Just try it out.
00:51:28.000 If it doesn't work, blame me.
00:51:30.000 But first, try it out.
00:51:34.000 Begin your breathing exercises.
00:51:36.000 Begin exposing yourself to the cold.
00:51:38.000 Stay free.
00:51:39.000 You're awakening wonders.
00:51:41.000 Thank you, Wim Hof, for joining me.
00:51:42.000 That was an amazing conversation.
00:51:43.000 Thank you for having me.
00:51:44.000 I'll give you a big cuddle.
00:51:47.000 Amen.
00:51:48.000 I love you.
00:51:55.000 Switch on.
