Tristan Tate speaks about his decision to return his stolen lada back to his family. He also talks about the corruption of the justice system in Romania and why he believes he is being targeted by "corrupt opportunistic thieves" who want nothing more than to steal his stuff and put him in jail. He talks about how he feels about the outcome of his case and what he is going to do in the future to get his stolen Lada back. He also explains why he thinks DCOT is a corrupt organization and why they should be held accountable for what they have done to him. And finally, he talks about his plans for the future of his lada and how he plans to return it back to its rightful owner. The lada is a piece of Romanian history, it was purchased by a former member of Nicolae Ceauzeescu's Communist Party in 1979, and it's a valuable piece of history that belongs in the hands of the Romanian people. He wants to pass it down to his children, and if he doesn't get it back, he'll pass it on to them one day, but he can't do that because he's not going to be able to afford to buy another car like that right now, and he's going to have to wait for another one to be made available to him in another country. XO, , &
00:02:46.000Of course, I don't have any other cars, but theoretically I have a bunch of Lamborghinis and McLarens and Maseratis and all of this.
00:02:52.000I have them. How did you receive the decision yesterday?
00:02:58.000The decision from the court yesterday was very important and it wasn't just about stealing my stuff because what you have to understand is DCOT as an organization is genuinely very serious and there are people who work for DCOT who are hard-working, diligent people who are taking real criminals off the streets and putting real dangerous people behind bars and I appreciate that.
00:03:18.000However, in my case Not DCOT as an organization.
00:03:21.000The individuals behind my case are corrupt, opportunistic thieves.
00:03:26.000And I've been saying it for two and a half years while the media has been bothering me and asking about imaginary human trafficking.
00:03:32.000And I feel like the judge's decision yesterday, it's another one in a very long run of good judge's decisions I'm getting.
00:03:38.000I expect my brother to get another good judge's decision today.
00:03:41.000Because I think now the tide has turned.
00:03:43.000I think now everyone's eyes are opened.
00:03:44.000From the media to the judges and the judicial system where real justice in Romania is delivered, I think they see that I am being targeted by corrupt opportunistic thieves who want nothing more than to steal my stuff and put me in jail and will do anything to put me in jail besides, you know, give me a trial and find me guilty.
00:04:00.000Four times they've tried to put me in jail and locked me up.
00:04:03.000Four times, once for over three months.
00:04:48.000Well done, prosecutors. You've made your country look really great.
00:04:52.000You're definitely showing that you're perfectly fair and just people and you just want to catch criminals.
00:04:56.000I mean, stealing a man's lada for money laundering Do you know how stupid a country looks when they say, look guys, we suspect this guy is laundering money, so we're going to confiscate a car that's worth less than this microphone, a car that's worth less than this guy's shoes.
00:05:13.000This is our proof of money laundering.
00:05:17.000You know, I hope the people in Romania are finally waking up.
00:05:19.000I hope that justice will finally be done very soon.
00:05:21.000Hopefully this whole thing gets thrown away, and then I can bask in the light of my wave of apologies, which I expect to get from people like the BBC. Where is your money, Tristan?
00:05:33.000Oh, I don't have any money. They took everything.
00:05:35.000Yeah, they took everything. This watch is actually fake.
00:06:38.000There's no human trafficking. Oh, by the way, I live in Timisoara.
00:06:42.000Coming to court and saying it's stupid.
00:06:44.000And this is what I think is really waking the judges up.
00:06:46.000Because if every single one of my victims was standing here today and you could interview them, they'd say, yeah, Tristan's innocent and Decot's corrupt.
00:06:52.000And I told them I wasn't a victim and they wrote me down on the victim's list anyway.
00:06:55.000So what do I think about Decot's accusations that I'm a human trafficker?
00:06:59.000I think that they are utterly ridiculous.
00:07:01.000I think they've embarrassed their organization.
00:07:03.000And quite frankly, I think they've embarrassed their country.
00:07:05.000I moved here. I have nothing to be ashamed about.
00:07:08.000All my fancy cars, all the nice things I own, I don't have to hide the fact that I'm a successful person.
00:07:12.000I'm an extremely wealthy person and I've worked hard my entire life.
00:07:15.000I've never done anything illegal. I've paid my taxes.
00:07:18.000I'm allowed to buy as many cars as I want.
00:07:19.000But not according to DCOT. No, no, no.
00:07:21.000If I buy expensive things, I'm a money launderer.
00:07:23.000Who on earth is going to be influential, important, financially successful, and ever move to Romania again?
00:07:32.000These people have sent a message to everybody in the world saying, if you move to Romania, we are going to rob you, steal from you, take your stuff, embarrass you, charge you with crimes.
00:07:40.000If Elon Musk moved to Romania tomorrow, they'd arrest him and steal all his stuff and say he's a money launderer.
00:08:24.000That was made very poignantly by my lawyers in court.
00:08:28.000If I said to him, I'm gonna massively increase your social media following, let's work on Instagram, and I promoted him and he ten times his social media following, have I human trafficked him?
00:08:37.000Social media collaborations aren't human trafficking.
00:08:40.000And that's what DCOT are trying to say I've done.
00:08:43.000Anybody I've ever spoken about social media with, they've put on a list of victims.
00:08:47.000It is embarrassing and you as Romanians should be ashamed of what they've done to foreigners.
00:08:51.000I understand two and a half years ago you were all outside my house pointing microphones in my face saying like, where are the girls?
00:08:57.000Where are the girls? What, what girls?
00:08:59.000What girls? All the ones who say I'm innocent who live in their own houses in different cities in different countries who've never been in my house ever.
00:09:06.000Like it just, from day one I was looking forward to moments like this.
00:09:10.000Because the media was very aggressive with me.
00:09:12.000The internet was very aggressive with me.
00:09:14.000Everyone thought I was kidnapping people and holding them hostage in my house.
00:09:17.000What DCOT have done has not embarrassed me.
00:09:20.000I can hold my head high and be proud of myself.
00:09:26.000And after this investigation is over...
00:09:28.000When it's finally dropped, I hope the people responsible for this actually get in some serious trouble because they should.
00:09:34.000They should not be allowed to just humiliate their country and embarrass their country and take foreigners and lock them in jail away from their kids.
00:09:40.000You know, when one of my kids was born, I was locked away in prison.
00:12:52.000You know, when you go against the system, everyone says you can't beat the system, shut up.
00:12:56.000And I guess they were right, but we're built different.
00:13:00.000I feel like we're kind of beating the system.
00:13:02.000Well, they made us super famous and super rich, and now we're rebuilding our house in Romania because we intend on just staying here in Decot's jurisdiction and driving around in supercars.
00:13:11.000I might drive past the jail and past Decot's office every single day.
00:13:15.000I might go out of my way on my way to work and just drive past...
00:13:43.000Well, it's quite interesting that when we had a webcam studio, they never came and busted our door down.
00:13:46.000It was only when we got rid of our webcam studio and then told the truth about government that they then attacked us for previously having a webcam studio.
00:13:54.000So it seems as long as you're currently running a webcam studio, you're safe from decom.
00:13:59.000Got it. Meaning, we should open one ASAP to protect ourselves.
00:14:03.000To protect ourselves. And this is an actual webcam studio that'll leave me alone because that pays 6% of this country's taxes and helps float the economy and pay for all the essential services so they don't blink twice when anyone opens a webcam studio unless we used to own one which wasn't even in Romania But we started talking the truth about the government and saying things about COVID and the Ukraine war.
00:14:23.000And then they attacked us for previously having one.
00:14:27.000And it's really interesting that in our court file, the UK Foreign Office wrote to Romania and said, can you do something about these boys which are telling the truth on the internet?
00:14:35.000Yes. But of course, this is all about human trafficking, which is why the police come and only try and steal all our money and wealth all the time.
