Summary

In this episode, the boys talk about the first time they met each other, how they met, and how they ended up fighting each other. They also talk about how they got into a fight with each other and how it almost didn't go the way they expected it to go. Also, they talk about when they first met and what it's like to be a police officer, and what they do to make sure they don't get in trouble with the wrong people. They also get into a story about the time they almost got into an actual fight with a man who thought he was going to kill them, and then they get into another story about when the police came to their house and made them move a bulletproof door to keep them out of their own house. And, of course, there's a little bit of swearing and a lot of swearing. Enjoy the episode, and don't forget to leave us a rating and review on Apple Podcasts! 00:01:44.000 *music* Marcel, it looks like he's trying to kill you today.
00:01:48.000 Yeah, he is.
00:01:53.000 Don't die though.
00:01:55.000 Never die.
00:01:56.000 I think he remembers what you said on poker night.
00:02:00.000 Yeah.
00:02:02.000 Makes perfect sense.
00:02:06.000 And I quote, tomorrow I'm beating up Andrew.
00:02:09.000 I quote, tomorrow I'm beating tomorrow I'm beating up Andrew.
00:02:39.000 I quote, tomorrow I'm beating tomorrow I'm beating up Andrew.
00:03:09.000 I quote, tomorrow I'm beating up Andrew.
00:03:22.000 You kept moving.
00:03:24.000 I knew you were hurt because you were like...
00:03:25.000 Any time you touch that rib and that voice...
00:03:28.000 You can't do it now?
00:03:31.000 Yeah, you feel it.
00:03:33.000 When you've done the flurry, the last flurry, I caught my chest again.
00:03:41.000 Yeah, that's it.
00:03:43.000 I was like, I couldn't.
00:03:44.000 I can't move my arms.
00:03:46.000 It's so hard.
00:03:47.000 Plus, you look like it.
00:03:49.000 It's natural for your deep head looking.
00:03:51.000 No, but it's fine.
00:03:53.000 I've got to keep my hands on my back.
00:03:55.000 I'm getting better with the upper part.
00:03:59.000 I'm still getting it.
00:04:00.000 No, you're good at speaking punches.
00:04:02.000 Good.
00:04:03.000 I have to think of it more because you're getting that.
00:04:05.000 You know, I put the bulletproof doors on the house to be petty.
00:04:19.000 I said that, you know, you can't really stop them getting in.
00:04:21.000 I just want to be awkward and annoying.
00:04:23.000 It turns out you can stop them getting in because they couldn't get in.
00:04:26.000 For half an hour, they were banging on that door and they could not get in.
00:04:29.000 They started scaling the roof and everything.
00:04:30.000 I was sitting here having a coffee and a cigar, wiping my phones clean.
00:04:35.000 Here, I admit it.
00:04:36.000 Is that a crime?
00:04:36.000 No.
00:04:37.000 I wasn't arrested.
00:04:37.000 I wiped my phone.
00:04:38.000 I felt like spontaneously wiping my phone.
00:04:41.000 Before I went outside and let them in!
00:04:44.000 Because I'm such a nice guy.
00:04:45.000 It's funny, when I let them in, all the armed guards with masks actually like me because they know this whole case is stupid.
00:04:51.000 So the little decop officer walks in, this woman, who thinks she's the queen.
00:04:56.000 She walks in trying to be a tough guy, but all the guys with guns are like, thanks for opening the door.
00:04:59.000 I'm like, that's fine.
00:05:01.000 Phone's wiped now.
00:05:02.000 It doesn't matter anymore, does it?
00:05:03.000 And he goes, I've never seen a door like that.
00:05:04.000 We were banging on it for half an hour.
00:05:06.000 We couldn't even get in.
00:05:06.000 I was like, don't worry.
00:05:07.000 Criminals can't afford these doors.
00:05:08.000 Criminals are broke.
00:05:09.000 And they laughed and I laughed.
00:05:10.000 It was all funny.
00:05:11.000 And the decal officer was sitting there, I'm here with my warrant.
00:05:14.000 Shut up, bitch.
00:05:15.000 No one cares about your fucking stupid warrant.
00:05:17.000 Anyway, as they spent half an hour banging on my door, they couldn't get in, but they dented it.
00:05:22.000 So I've decided to make the door double the thickness.
00:05:24.000 It was already bulletproof.
00:05:25.000 It was already blast proof.
00:05:26.000 But I said, I don't care.
00:05:27.000 Double it up.
00:05:28.000 And they're saying it's going to be very heavy.
00:05:29.000 It's going to be twice as heavy.
00:05:30.000 I've got big arms.
00:05:31.000 I can move a fucking door.
00:05:33.000 Give me a big, heavy door.
00:05:34.000 Don't care.
00:05:35.000 Twice as strong.
00:05:36.000 So if the police come again, they can twice as get fucked as before.
00:05:40.000 *Sounds of the police*
00:06:10.000 Jab the back shoulder like I do to you.
00:06:13.000 You've got to do that to Nigel.
00:06:14.000 It's confusing.
00:06:16.000 The back shoulder?
00:06:17.000 The back shoulder.
00:06:18.000 I jab both shoulders.
00:06:19.000 So you don't know where the jab's going.
00:06:22.000 That's good.
00:06:23.000 If I catch you or something, you go fucking machine gun with me.
00:06:34.000 Every time I hit you something, you actually go machine gun.
00:06:38.000 So you don't hit me again?
00:06:41.000 So I can recover.
00:06:44.000 As in like, ride the funk?
00:06:47.000 You either go back with it or you need to...
00:06:48.000 A couple times you slip it and you come forward like in the earlier rounds until I completely fuck it.
00:06:53.000 Yeah.
00:06:54.000 But like those big left hooks I land...
00:06:56.000 They're gay, bro.
00:06:59.000 Too many of them in the arm just...
00:07:01.000 Sorry. - Sorry. - Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:07:14.000 Pull that back all the time.
00:07:16.000 I pull it back.
00:07:17.000 There were rounds of Nigel you'd be good to watch as well because there were times you were slipping in loads of good punches.
00:07:28.000 But when his shoulder's there, especially like if you hit him a few times here, he gives you a shoulder.
00:07:31.000 You need to hit it ten times until he can't give it to you anymore.
00:07:38.000 Yeah, so when I was fighting back in my day, we didn't have videos to watch it back, really.
00:07:43.000 You didn't have phones or easy way to set up cameras or even cameras that are quick enough to record it on the phone back then.
00:07:49.000 Everything was too fast.
00:07:50.000 You couldn't really see the punches.
00:07:51.000 You need really high tech camera equipment, but now we have it.
00:07:54.000 So feedback is how you get better in life.
00:07:58.000 So we watch to see what we're doing right, what we're doing wrong.
00:08:01.000 I'm never happy with what I see ever.
00:08:03.000 I know I could have done more.
00:08:04.000 So I'm always pissed off, but it's good to watch.
00:08:07.000 Good to see.
00:08:09.000 Marcel's tons better than he used to be.
00:08:12.000 The fact you make me miss a punch is such a big deal.
00:08:14.000 I used to just land 100% on punches.
00:08:16.000 It used to just be like a punch bag.
00:08:18.000 Now he'll move or I'll miss or...
00:08:21.000 So I have to think a lot more.
00:08:23.000 I can't just load up and fucking whack.
00:08:27.000 I'm saying this to Nigel, the better you get, the more you're in the danger zone, but the more you have the opportunity to cause damage.
00:08:34.000 Bro, you lose hands when you have a good hand.
00:08:38.000 That's life.
00:08:38.000 Yeah, it's the game.
00:08:42.000 That's why they say, Going in there to win and going in there to survive are different.
00:08:47.000 For sure.
00:08:48.000 Bivol fought a guy on a couple fights ago and they were saying and Bivol couldn't finish him or really hurt him but they were saying this guy's not come to win he's come to survive.
00:08:54.000 Yeah.
00:08:54.000 So he was just surviving but he wasn't trying to hurt Bivol.
00:08:59.000 Surviving is much easier than actually winning.
00:09:01.000 When you win, you've got to take all the risks.
00:09:03.000 Yeah.
00:09:03.000 And that's one thing I'd say I'd note.
00:09:05.000 It's the difference between, like I said, the survival and the trying to win.
00:09:08.000 I'm trying to actually do stuff now.
00:09:10.000 100%.
00:09:10.000 100%.
00:09:11.000 So you get caught, but it's better to fucking be good and get caught than be shit and stand there and be a punchback.
00:09:17.000 That's right.
00:09:17.000 Exactly.
00:09:19.000 Exactly right.
00:09:20.000 Yeah, I always count the punches for every fight, and I try and double my opponent's output all the time.
00:09:25.000 I try and consciously do it as well.
00:09:29.000 But I have to make it up later on in the round because early in the round, people throw combinations.
00:09:33.000 I really only counter with, let's say, one left hook.
00:09:36.000 I let them throw two, three, boom, boom, and I land one good hard punch.
00:09:39.000 But then later in the round, I try and make sure I outwork, especially the last 30, 40 seconds because that's what people remember.
00:09:45.000 You can win a fight in the last 30 seconds.
00:09:47.000 In fact, that's what the Dutch do if you fight the Dutch.
00:09:49.000 The first two minutes, they don't do anything.
00:09:51.000 They're like a turtle.
00:09:52.000 First two minutes.
00:09:54.000 And the last minute of the round, they'll fucking go nuts at you.
00:09:57.000 To steal the rounds.
00:09:59.000 So...
00:09:59.000 And then, if you can dictate the pace, if you can hurt them or keep them away from you for the first two minutes without using too much energy, the last minute you can just jump on them.
00:10:08.000 What do you reckon your average is, like, per puncher?
00:10:11.000 Like, your four to my one, probably.
00:10:14.000 I think, nah, two to one, three to one, maybe.
00:10:17.000 Yeah.
00:10:18.000 But...
00:10:20.000 Sometimes I throw combinations of eights, nines, tens.
00:10:23.000 Yeah.
00:10:24.000 The real question is, are you sparring better now that you're smoking?
00:10:30.000 Might be.
00:10:32.000 I don't think smoke has anything to do with it.
00:10:34.000 That whole smoking is bad for you shit, sire.
00:10:37.000 You happen to be smoking again?
00:10:40.000 I'm super happy to be smoking again.
00:10:42.000 Life is boring without smoking.
00:10:44.000 There's nothing else to do.
00:10:46.000 Life is not for the weak, and it's not for the lazy, and it's definitely not for those who are content with mediocrity.
00:10:50.000 Life is for the warriors, the champions, the ones who are ready to push their limits and achieve greatness.
00:10:56.000 You need to understand that if you want to get to the top, you're gonna need a team.
00:10:59.000 You're gonna need a brotherhood.
00:11:01.000 You need people who are going to push you, challenge you, demand the absolute best from you, because that's what winners do.
00:11:06.000 They demand the best, not just from themselves, but from everybody around them.
00:11:09.000 Here inside of the real world, you're not just some lone wolf.
00:11:13.000 You're part of a pack.
00:11:13.000 You're part of a team that's committed to excellence.
00:11:16.000 And that commitment is not just about you.
00:11:18.000 Because when one of you wins, you all win.
00:11:20.000 When one of you grows, you all grow.
00:11:22.000 We don't settle for less, and we don't let our brothers settle for less either.
00:11:25.000 We hold each other accountable, we support each other, we celebrate our victories together.
00:11:29.000 A community of people who already succeeded, so they're gonna help you succeed too.
00:11:34.000 Please tell me that I was Out of shape, bro, just to call me out.
00:11:37.000 That's what I needed, so the real world was that solution.
00:11:39.000 Every day we log in, we have people to look for, and people need their answers, so we're there, we're helping them.
00:11:44.000 Inside the real world, there's nothing negative, it's all positive, and you just gotta put it in the work.
