00:00:00.000 The United Conservative Caucus of Alberta has officially reinstated Jennifer Johnson
00:00:04.900 following a recent controversy involving a heated exchange with a transgender activist.
00:00:10.440 We discussed this meeting between Johnson and the transgender ideologue on a previous episode of
00:00:15.660 the show, but we'll dive more into Johnson's reinstatement shortly. I'm Isaac Lamoureux,
00:00:20.440 your host of the Alberta Roundup.
00:00:30.000 I'm happy to be back on the show with you all this week, but I'll be even happier to see you in
00:00:37.380 person very shortly. For those that haven't heard, I will be speaking at True North Nation in Calgary
00:00:42.840 on October 26th alongside Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, author Andrew Lawton, and my colleague and
00:00:49.600 former host of the Alberta Roundup, Rachel Parker. During the show, I'm going to be going through a
00:00:54.260 top 10 list of the worst and craziest ideas from Alberta left-wing leaders these past few years.
00:00:59.420 Feel free to leave any ideas in the comments. You can buy tickets at truenorthevents.ca and I can't
00:01:06.580 wait to see you all there. But now, hopping back into this development with Jennifer Johnson. The
00:01:11.980 United Conservative Caucus of Alberta announced on Wednesday afternoon that Johnson would be
00:01:16.680 rejoining the group. They posted the news to X with a video of Johnson. Here's some of what she had
00:01:22.080 to say. Today, I want to take a moment to address a serious matter. Prior to being elected, I used an
00:01:28.300 inappropriate analogy while discussing education policy surrounding trans youth. And for that,
00:01:34.240 I sincerely apologize. I want all children working through gender identity issues to know that you
00:01:39.780 are cared for, valued, and respected. Also, here's a transcript of Johnson's initial comments, which
00:01:46.200 oddly enough, in no way compared transgender children to feces, despite the claims from legacy media that
00:01:53.300 made it out that way. So whatever. Maybe the initial comment was taken a bit out of context, but why
00:01:58.880 Johnson recently made international news was based on a completely different interaction. Johnson recently
00:02:05.420 attended a meeting with the Lacombe Pride Society, Pinoka Pride Society, Central Alberta Pride Society, and
00:02:11.560 others, where one activist attempted to force her to say biological men can be women. The interaction caught
00:02:18.980 global attention with J.K. Rowling sharing the clip and Elon Musk reacting to it. As you all know, a picture
00:02:26.180 tells a thousand words, and Rowling said, quote, honestly, you don't even need to turn up the sound.
00:02:32.980 Hi, Jennifer. I really want to thank you for meeting with us today and taking the time to try to signal that this is
00:02:39.440 more of a priority for you.
00:02:41.100 Absolutely. Delighted to meet with you all.
00:02:43.080 Yeah, thanks for having us. Before I would ever say, though, that this was a productive meeting and be counted to the list,
00:02:48.920 of contacts that you've reached out to in the queer community, I have to know a few things of where you sit.
00:02:55.660 Will you state on the record right now that trans women are women?
00:03:01.960 I've never been asked that before.
00:03:04.240 Will you say that on the record right now?
00:03:06.940 No, I want to have some time to think on that.
00:03:09.120 Okay, well, that's me. Have a great day. And I will be speaking out against this meeting because you are clearly not ready to have this.
00:03:16.900 So I'm not going to be added to the list of meetings that you are going to have with people where you say, well, I met this person and this person.
00:03:23.740 Because no, no, no, no.
00:03:26.100 You can't say I've had these consultations and use that as justification for you to work your way back into caucus, which is why we know you're really here.
00:03:34.000 This only happens.
00:03:35.240 This meeting is only happening because you're on Twitter, in the Twittersphere, and people are debating whether or not you're going to be led back into caucus, and Premier Smith is debating that.
00:03:46.020 And so you need to do some PR work.
00:03:48.300 And I'm not going to be your band-aid.
00:03:49.740 I'm not going to be your pinkwashing.
00:03:51.060 Unless you can tell me right now that you believe that I, as a trans woman, right now, right here, am a woman, then we don't have a lot to work on here.
00:04:01.660 You want to talk about listening to the community?
00:04:03.460 If you can't start with that basic foundational principle that we are who we say we are in our bones, then I don't think we're on the same page for working forward.
00:04:14.300 So I'll give you one last chance.
00:04:16.680 Are trans women women?
00:04:18.040 Will you say that on the record right now?
00:04:19.420 Victoria, we can disagree on things.
00:04:22.200 Not on that.
00:04:23.040 Not on my identity.
00:04:24.300 No, no, no, no.
00:04:25.140 Not on that.
00:04:25.360 And I can still care about you, even if we disagree.
00:04:27.860 Wonderful.
00:04:28.500 But I will be speaking out against this meeting 100% if you can't say that right now, because I'm not going to have you add my name to the list of meetings that you've had to show that you're, quote, doing the work.
00:04:38.700 Because you're not doing the work.
00:04:40.260 The work is the inner work.
00:04:41.840 You're learning the outer work.
00:04:43.100 You're learning what you're allowed to say in public and what you're not, so you don't get in the situation again, because you got caught saying what you really thought.
00:04:50.080 And you did think that.
00:04:51.640 But you haven't shown that you've changed.
00:04:53.980 Because if you can't respect us, then how can I work with you?
00:04:58.740 If you don't believe that I am a woman sitting right here, right now, how on earth are you saying that you're working with me?
00:05:06.700 What work have you done then if you can't start with, yes, Victoria, you are a woman?
00:05:11.980 Can we disagree and still respect each other?
00:05:16.300 No.
00:05:17.120 Goodbye.
00:05:18.640 Disposed.
00:05:19.500 It's the family and friends event at Shoppers Drug Mart.

00:05:32.600 Despite various local pride societies releasing a joint statement slandering Johnson, she did not bend the knee.
00:05:42.920 Some people celebrated her for not capitulating to the woke mob.
00:05:47.320 Johnson's return to caucus follows conservatives from across the province pleading with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith to reinstate her.
00:05:54.060 In Wednesday's press release, the party said that Johnson's reinstatement actually follows an internal caucus vote.
00:06:00.780 Over the past 17 months, MLA Johnson has done a very good job as a local MLA.
00:06:06.180 After having a very thoughtful discussion with our caucus team, our MLAs voted to acknowledge her hard work, recognize her efforts, and welcome her into the government caucus, said Chief Government Whip Shane Getzen.
00:06:17.440 Johnson had been sitting as an independent since her removal from the party, but her status as United Conservative MLA is in effect immediately.
00:06:25.680 So now we're going to move over to the news we've seen coming out of Jasper over the last few weeks, and yes, it is a lot of information.
00:06:33.520 I spent many hours this week researching clips and testimonies coming out of the House of Commons this week, but honestly, it still wasn't enough.
00:06:41.760 The Conservatives are now setting forward a motion that calls for additional testimony from forest management experts, stakeholders, Indigenous communities, and impacted individuals during the four additional meetings that they are calling for.
00:06:55.640 Conservative MP Dan Mazier wrote a post to X where he shared the motion, and he said,
00:07:01.480 Quote,
00:07:01.820 Over the last two weeks, an alarming amount of evidence has been released at the Environment Committee that shows Minister Guibo was negligent in protecting Jasper.
00:07:10.600 Mazier runs through a few of the key developments, one being that Guibo's senior officials were found discussing the cancellation of prescribed burns for, quote,
00:07:20.420 political purposes months before the fire, which caused nearly $1 billion in damage and destroyed a third of the town.
00:07:28.180 Yes, this resulted in over 360 square kilometers of burned or partially burned area and 358 destroyed structures.
00:07:35.820 Mazier said the investigation also revealed that the top officials at Parks Canada could not say how many hectares of dead pine remain in Jasper.
00:07:45.180 They don't even know.
00:07:46.420 I'd like to know how much is left now.
00:07:48.380 I'm sure we have the technology to do a reasonable assessment.
00:07:50.880 I don't need a specific number, but you wouldn't release that to the media in August.
00:07:54.800 Will you table it with the committee so we can have a real understanding?
00:07:57.340 Our emergency response minister, instead of preparedness, should probably be aware of how much deadwood still exists.
00:08:03.820 Is that information that you can share with this committee within the next week?
00:08:07.020 Yeah, 15 seconds.
00:08:08.380 I'm really going to run the clock tight right now.
00:08:11.240 I'm not sure if we have what you ask in that time frame.
00:08:18.360 That seems like a problem to me.
00:08:19.780 Um, no.
00:08:20.940 That's not a problem?
00:08:21.740 No.
00:08:22.780 And of course, True North's previous exclusive featured Peter Schultz, who was hired by Parks Canada in 2008,
00:08:28.900 and he estimated that by last summer, close to 40% of Jasper National Park trees were standing deadwood killed by pine beetle infestation.
00:08:37.380 Another shocking revelation that recently came out of the investigation was that Parks Canada turned away firefighters who arrived on the scene to help fight the fire.
00:08:48.520 50 firefighters and 20 fire trucks were turned away by Gibo's office when they arrived in Jasper to help fight the fire.
00:08:55.720 President of Arctic Fire Safety Service, Christopher Livam, testified that they were deemed, quote,
00:09:01.580 non-essential and were ordered to leave by Parks Canada.
00:09:05.040 He also revealed another shocking development, which was that Parks Canada ordered hydrants for Jasper with different threading than those used in Alberta and British Columbia municipalities,
00:09:16.240 which meant that only seven compatible adapters were available for firemen to use.
00:09:21.600 At one point, Livam said that his crew was forced to watch structures burn because they could not connect to the nearby hydrant due to its incompatible threading.
00:09:29.540 Livam said the following.
00:09:30.820 The statement that I provide today will provide a shocking example of how it must manage the Jasper Fire of Wise by Parks Canada
00:09:38.740 and should warrant a deeper investigation into this agency's fire management and overall role as guardians of Canada's most important and cultural assets.
00:09:46.240 The next thing that happened with Livam is insane.
00:09:49.180 At one point, the committee chair stopped him from testifying, arguing that the interpreters could not interpret him.
00:09:55.820 However, various people testified in French directly after him and had no issues with interpretation.
00:10:03.060 So, is that directed at Mr. Villam?
00:10:06.160 Yes.
00:10:06.740 Yeah, unfortunately, the interpreters can't interpret him.
00:10:09.740 So, you could still ask him to submit something in writing, if you wish, or make a statement.
00:10:15.080 We can't let him try to.
00:10:16.680 No, no, no.
00:10:17.420 Well, no, it's not going to work.
00:10:18.700 It's not going to work.
00:10:20.900 Okay.
00:10:23.520 Yes, go ahead.
00:10:24.360 Mr. Messier, thank you very much for your approach, which I find very practical.
00:10:30.580 Your vision is very tangible and concrete and impressive.
00:10:33.980 Like you, you have heard the firefighters' testimony, and I can see how attentive you were.
00:10:41.440 Could you tell us what you feel about it?
00:10:43.920 30 seconds.
00:10:44.680 Well, it's really not in my purview.
00:10:49.340 I was very surprised to hear that all of the resources weren't there to fight fires.
00:10:54.580 And I imagine that there must be certain structural problems with regards to management and with all the different organizations.
00:11:03.000 But I can't really pronounce myself more than that.
00:11:05.320 But, like us, you must have been shocked and outraged to hear that there are firefighters who are there willing to fight.
00:11:15.520 Yes, well, we've got over four minutes.
00:11:18.160 Maiden Taylor-Royce, it's your turn now.
00:11:20.640 Separately, Alberta's Minister of Forestry and Parks, Todd Lowen, testified that Alberta increased the firefighting budget by 55% from $101.4 to $155.4 million.
00:11:33.380 The province also increased its contingency amount from $1.5 to $2 billion, a 33% increase.
00:11:40.580 He said that the Liberals' Minister of Emergency Preparedness, Harjit Stajan, was not opposed to Alberta being in the Unified Command and in a decision-making position.
00:11:49.960 However, Minister Guibault was.
00:11:53.360 As you all well know, Guibault and Alberta Premier Daniel Smith have a long history of not getting along.
00:11:59.540 Canadians are demanding answers, said Mazier when sharing his motion to X.
00:12:03.860 We won't stop until we get them.
00:12:06.540 This next part might be hard to believe, but it actually gets even worse for Jasper residents and Albertans.
00:12:12.780 Talk about kicking someone when they're down.
00:12:16.160 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Wednesday that Randy Boissonneau will serve as Ministerial Lead for Jasper,
00:12:23.760 despite Boissonneau facing a separate ethics probe at the committee level.
00:12:28.760 I have one question.
00:12:30.760 Which Randy are we talking about here?
00:12:33.060 Boissonneau or the other Randy?
00:12:35.260 Now, moving on to some other big and controversial news.
00:12:39.360 This, that business owners in Alberta who faced economic losses due to pandemic closures
00:12:44.400 may soon be able to proceed as a class action and sue the provincial government for damages.
00:12:49.600 This, of course, at the expense of themselves, the taxpayer.
00:12:53.960 Yeah, what a conundrum we found ourselves in, wherein business owners who suffered financial losses due to pandemic restrictions
00:13:00.760 are essentially trying to sue themselves, the taxpayer, for lost income.
00:13:05.680 So Justice Feesby presided over a class action certification hearing on October 2nd and 3rd,
00:13:11.260 during which the court reviewed whether business owners from across Alberta who were restricted
00:13:15.660 by public health orders during the COVID-19 pandemic should be able to sue the Alberta government as a collective.
00:13:23.020 The lawsuit is spearheaded by two primary plaintiffs, Rebecca Ingram, a gym owner,
00:13:28.260 and Christopher Scott, owner of the Whistle Stop Cafe.
00:13:31.860 Both allege that their businesses suffered substantial losses due to public health orders
00:13:36.360 issued by Alberta's former Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dina Hinshaw, during the pandemic.
00:13:41.400 This, of course, before she was removed from her role by Alberta Premier Daniel Smith in 2022.
00:13:47.560 Despite initially questioning the suitability of Ingram as a lead plaintiff,
00:13:51.340 the Alberta government later conceded that Ingram could serve as a representative plaintiff.
00:13:56.520 However, the government's legal team was more critical of Scott's suitability.
00:14:00.540 Alberta's lawyers argued that Scott's actions, including operating his business against public health orders
00:14:06.080 and benefiting from public donations, disqualified him as a class representative
00:14:10.540 because he may not have suffered losses in the same way as other business owners.
00:14:15.680 They argued that because his personal circumstances did not reflect the broader class,
00:14:20.440 he was unsuitable for the role.
00:14:22.000 However, the plaintiff's lawyers contended that the class action could proceed with Ingram
00:14:26.160 as the sole representative plaintiff, so it didn't really matter what they thought of Scott.
00:14:29.960 And, of course, the defense, which is Alberta, disagreed.
00:14:32.960 So, if certified, business owners who operated in Alberta between 2020 and 2022
00:14:38.680 and were impacted by the public health orders may be eligible to join the class action lawsuit.
00:14:44.860 Wrath & Company, the law firm representing the plaintiffs,
00:14:48.320 said that the legal foundation for the case is derived from the Ingram decision,
00:14:52.480 which determined that the rules were outside of the law regarding the Public Health Act.
00:14:56.740 Of course, I was lucky enough to be at this class certification over the two days.
00:15:01.400 So, the certification process for a class action involves a five-part test.
00:15:06.980 The court must determine whether the claim represents a valid cause of action,
00:15:10.580 identifies an appropriate class of persons, presents common issues of fact or law,
00:15:16.060 demonstrates that a class action is a preferable procedure,
00:15:19.500 and shows that the proposed representative plaintiffs are suitable to advance the case on behalf of the class.
00:15:25.480 This test also requires the court to assess whether the plaintiffs' claims are strong enough
00:15:30.340 to be pursued on behalf of all affected business owners.
00:15:33.660 The plaintiffs' legal team asserted that the public health orders exceeded the government's legal authority,
00:15:39.420 seeking compensation for economic losses suffered by businesses that were forced to close or restrict their operations.
00:15:46.540 They emphasized that a class action was the most efficient way to handle the claims,
00:15:50.640 as it would prevent the need for thousands of individual lawsuits.
00:15:55.200 In defense, Alberta's legal team maintained that the restrictions were implemented in good faith
00:16:00.440 based on the best available science at the time.
00:16:03.280 They also pointed out that Alberta Health Services, not the provincial government,
00:16:07.680 was responsible for enforcing the orders.
00:16:10.840 Additionally, they argued that the diversity of businesses involved,
00:16:14.420 ranging from small to large,
00:16:15.860 would require highly individualized assessment of damages,
00:16:19.360 making a class action inefficient and inappropriate.
00:16:23.100 If FEASB certifies the class action,
00:16:25.740 business owners who suffered under the COVID-19 restrictions
00:16:29.000 will automatically be included unless they choose to opt out
00:16:32.880 and pursue legal action on their own.
00:16:35.680 Whether the class is certified or not,
00:16:37.920 if any plaintiffs are awarded damages,
00:16:40.140 the money will come from all taxpayers in the province,
00:16:43.600 including the plaintiffs themselves.
00:16:46.240 FEASB concluded the hearing by saying that he felt the case was argued very well by both sides.
00:16:51.680 He added that there were many documents to sort through,
00:16:54.000 and it would not be a simple process.
00:16:56.200 He hoped to have a decision ready by December 1st,
00:16:58.940 at which point he said,
00:17:00.620 you can come knocking on my door if I haven't gotten back to you by then.
00:17:03.560 Yeah, feel free to let me know what you guys think about this crazy situation in the comments.
00:17:08.680 I'm personally finding it hard to cheer for the business owners,
00:17:12.900 considering I'll be the one picking up the tab.
00:17:15.860 So will you, assuming you live in Alberta, and so will they.
00:17:20.520 Now moving on to our next story,
00:17:22.360 Danielle Smith announced on Tuesday that her chief of staff, Marshall Smith,
00:17:26.720 was retiring from the public service after 32 years of working in it.
00:17:31.100 She said, quote,
00:17:32.240 It was Marshall Smith who has been largely credited for implementing Alberta's recovery model
00:17:46.440 to the drug crisis, which now other provinces,
00:17:49.060 even like the deeply flawed drug handing out British Columbia,
00:17:53.380 has began to implement parts of.
00:17:55.720 Danielle Smith, and I'll remember to keep trying to use the first names here
00:17:58.720 so we don't get confused between the two Smiths,
00:18:00.700 but Danielle Smith said, quote,
00:18:02.440 So deaths from opioid addictions are down 53% in June this year compared to last.
00:18:18.100 Additionally, opioid-related EMS responses have decreased by 59% between June 2023 and 2024.
00:18:24.880 Alberta's per capita rate was 49% lower than BC in June 2024.
00:18:29.500 Smith said that she's been working on the transition plan since January
00:18:33.720 and that Rob Anderson, who has served as her executive director of the premier's office
00:18:38.060 over the last two years, will become her chief of staff by the end of the month.
00:18:42.500 Now moving on to our last story of the day,
00:18:44.240 and you guys know I like to lighten it up for the last story,
00:18:46.940 not only on this show, but on other ones as well.
00:18:49.360 So this comes from the Canadian Taxpayers Federation,
00:18:52.100 who are urging all provincial premiers to join New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs'
00:18:56.440 federal carbon tax legal challenge.
00:18:59.420 The Federation's call follows Higgs relaunching another legal challenge
00:19:03.140 against the federal carbon tax as the province nears an election this month.
00:19:07.540 The federal director of the CTF, Franco Terrazzano, said, quote,
00:19:11.380 Higgs is right that the carbon tax is an unfair punishment on Canadians
00:19:15.020 and all premiers should stick up for their taxpayers by following his lead.
00:19:19.600 Despite initially urging all premiers,
00:19:21.560 the CTF later called on Smith directly,
00:19:24.460 and they also called directly on some other premiers.
00:19:26.760 But Chris Sims, CTF's Alberta director, said, quote,
00:19:30.360 Alberta successfully led the fight against the no more pipelines law
00:19:34.040 at the Supreme Court,
00:19:35.800 and Smith should get our province to do the same against the carbon tax.
00:19:40.040 She added that Albertans are being punished every time we pay our heating bills,
00:19:44.360 and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is shredding constitutional accountability
00:19:48.040 with his unequal application of the carbon tax.
00:19:51.780 Sims said that removing the carbon tax would save the average Albertan home
00:19:55.120 about $439 a year based on how much natural gas they use.
00:20:00.360 This doesn't even begin to account for the compounding effect of the cost of the carbon tax,
00:20:04.440 by the way, which is that every item you ever purchase has numerous chains
00:20:09.620 wherein it uses gas and the carbon tax has an effect on the cost.
00:20:13.380 Seven provincial premiers previously called for carbon tax relief,
00:20:17.340 and so too did 7 in 10 Canadians.
00:20:20.280 However, as you'll remember, despite the calls,
00:20:22.520 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau rejected any requests to meet about the carbon tax
00:20:26.420 and discuss its future.
00:20:28.320 With the many provincial elections upcoming,
00:20:31.060 we've seen even left-wing groups like the NDP take a stance against it.
00:20:35.500 My question is, how long until we're finally done with this tax?
00:20:39.480 And I hope that when we're finally lucky enough to kiss it goodbye,
00:20:43.360 that we never see it again.
00:20:46.620 That's probably how girls feel about me.
00:20:50.420 Yeah, that wraps up our last story,
00:20:52.140 so let's hop into the comment roundup before I get into the outro
00:20:55.260 or before I get myself into too much trouble here.
00:20:58.000 So the first comment I want to cover is actually two comments about Randy Boissoneau,
00:21:02.200 and there were far more.
00:21:03.460 I just chose these two from at Sandy Klein and at Kay McGovern 1380,
00:21:08.580 which said,
00:21:10.580 Randy now has zero credibility.
00:21:12.760 He is not worth Danielle Smith's baby finger.
00:21:15.220 Issues like what, Randy?
00:21:16.580 You staying up all night to talk to trans youth?
00:21:19.060 And then the next one said,
00:21:21.220 I think Randy needs to clean up his act before slinging mud at Danielle.
00:21:25.800 I would like to see how many doors he knocked in and how many said that.
00:21:29.760 Proof, please. No more lies.
00:21:31.520 I found these interesting considering Randy Boissoneau
00:21:33.860 is somehow making it into the show in back-to-back weeks.
00:21:36.620 So addressing what he said last week about people not wanting to speak to him
00:21:41.560 until they find out he's liberal,
00:21:43.140 look, Randy, that has never happened.
00:21:45.540 It's even...
00:21:46.420 That happening is even more rare than something truthful coming out of your mouth, Randy.
00:21:50.560 Imagine now...
00:21:52.560 Imagine now.
00:21:53.580 Imagine now if you were involved in a scandal involving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars
00:21:58.340 and your reward getting promoted.
00:22:00.460 Must be nice.
00:22:01.840 Moving into the next comment from at RedTankGirl5,
00:22:04.940 who said,
00:22:05.500 quote,
00:22:05.980 Nagar is the epitome of what real journalists are,
00:22:08.860 and we should all be thankful for him and all like him.
00:22:11.820 We need to protect our true journalists like Nagar,
00:22:14.820 so thankful for his kind still existing in this climate today.
00:22:18.560 Edit.
00:22:18.800 The day a liberal shows up on my land,
00:22:21.560 they better be wearing trainers because they will not be welcome on my property.
00:22:25.180 Yeah, so the last part of your comment kind of ties into what I was just saying,
00:22:28.760 which is liberals showing up on Albertans' properties is not a welcome sight to many people.
00:22:33.940 And yeah, Nagar putting his life at risk, so to speak,
00:22:36.840 to get the truth out there,
00:22:38.200 and his attack only proves what he was writing about as another commenter on the last video mentioned.
00:22:45.180 So I'd like to thank everyone for staying tuned throughout the entirety of this Alberta Roundup.
00:22:50.080 You should know it's one of my greatest pleasures and greatest honors to be able to host this show for you all.
00:22:57.120 And I won't lie.
00:23:01.160 It's a really nice distraction from the fact that the Oilers lost 6-0 in their season opener.
00:23:09.960 So, however, last year we lost 8-1, so we're already off to a better start.
00:23:17.180 The Flames had a great comeback, though, so at least there's that for any of you Flames fans out there.
00:23:21.660 I didn't see the Goudreau tribute, but I imagine it was special,
00:23:24.580 and I know that the first battle of Alberta is definitely a hockey game that I'm looking forward to.
00:23:29.500 Now, just a reminder that I will be speaking at True North Nation in Calgary on October 26th,
00:23:34.220 alongside Alberta Premier Daniel Smith, author Andrew Lawton,
00:23:37.820 and my colleague and former host of Alberta Roundup, Rachel Parker,
00:23:41.620 alongside many other of my True North colleagues.
00:23:44.660 During my speech, I'm going to be going through a top 10 list of the worst and craziest ideas
00:23:49.300 from Alberta left-wing leaders these past few years.
00:23:52.560 Again, please comment any of your ideas,
00:23:55.060 and certainly buy tickets to the show to see if your idea made the list.
00:24:00.020 You can buy tickets at truenorthevents.ca.
00:24:03.540 And if you see me at the show, feel free to come say hi.
00:24:07.020 Just don't do it while I'm on stage, which is around 9.35 a.m.,
00:24:10.740 because I just think it'll be a bit less awkward if you come say hi to me after I'm done my speech,
00:24:16.120 because, yeah, during the speech won't be the best time.
00:24:19.440 But I will try and get the crowd involved, and don't worry, though.
00:24:21.720 I'll have lots of time afterwards to talk to you all about Alberta this, Alberta that,
00:24:26.380 or anything else you want to talk about, like hockey.
00:24:29.480 Thank you very much.
00:24:30.580 God bless, and have a great week.
00:24:31.980 God bless, and have a great week.
