The Anchormen Show with Matt Gaetz - Episode 104 LIVE： Homeland Insecurity (feat. Rep. Andy Biggs) – Firebrand with Matt Gaetz

00:00:00.000 The embattled Congressman Matt Gaetz.

00:00:03.600 Matt Gaetz was one of the very few members in the entire Congress

00:00:06.460 who bothered to stand up against permanent Washington on behalf of his constituents.

00:00:10.860 Matt Gaetz right now, he's a problem for the Democratic Party.

00:00:13.680 He could cause a lot of hiccups in passing of laws.

00:00:16.700 So we're going to keep running those stories to keep hurting him.

00:00:20.080 If you stand for the flag and kneel in prayer,

00:00:23.260 if you want to build America up and not burn her to the ground,

00:00:26.720 then welcome, my fellow patriots.

00:00:29.120 You are in the right place.

00:00:31.000 This is the movement for you.

00:00:33.100 You ever watch this guy on television?

00:00:35.240 It's like a machine, Matt Gaetz.

00:00:37.900 I'm a canceled man in some corners of the Internet.

00:00:41.000 Many days I'm a marked man in Congress, a wanted man by the deep state.

00:00:45.820 They aren't really coming for me.

00:00:47.840 They're coming for you.

00:00:49.620 I'm just in the way.

00:00:54.920 Welcome back to Firebrand.

00:00:56.300 And we're broadcasting live out of room 2021 of the Rayburn House Office Building

00:01:00.500 here on the Capitol Complex in Washington, D.C.

00:01:03.200 And we are in the crucible.

00:01:05.140 We've got debt limit negotiations between Speaker McCarthy and President Biden

00:01:09.960 starting in just hours.

00:01:12.240 My colleague Andy Biggs is here to break down how we see the debt limit,

00:01:15.820 a little different than a lot of other Republicans.

00:01:18.380 Also, Title 42 going away.

00:01:20.520 We're getting real-time information from communities on the border,

00:01:24.300 from Border Patrol agents.

00:01:26.060 And there is a whole lot of signal coming out of the Biden administration.

00:01:30.120 Andy is one of the principal architects of the legislation the House of Representatives

00:01:35.020 will be voting on this week to lay out our plan, our agenda,

00:01:40.140 and certainly to restore the rule of law and our border.

00:01:43.680 Secretary of State Blinken in a little bit of trouble.

00:01:46.800 We're going to go over some challenges he's been having with politicizing intelligence,

00:01:52.940 something we're always against.

00:01:54.920 And I wish I didn't have to do a military wokeness segment on every show,

00:01:59.780 but we'll have one at the end.

00:02:03.020 So thanks for joining right now.

00:02:04.580 We've got folks from the state of Florida all the way to Washington State

00:02:07.280 offering their comments on Getter.

00:02:10.200 We have someone from Texas that says they're weary and waiting, Congressman Biggs.

00:02:15.680 Weary and waiting in Texas.

00:02:18.320 Should they be?

00:02:19.580 Yeah, you better watch out.

00:02:22.120 El Paso mayor has already declared an emergency, state of emergency there.

00:02:27.220 Title 42 is going away, but hundreds of thousands of people across the border

00:02:32.180 waiting to come in.

00:02:33.140 The cartel is going to flood the zone.

00:02:34.680 You've got DHS telling them, hey, don't come to El Paso

00:02:38.660 because that's where we're going to do our operation to slow things down.

00:02:42.540 That means the other eight sectors just go anywhere there

00:02:44.860 because we're going to have fewer people there.

00:02:46.720 That's the kind of DHS you have.

00:02:49.040 That's the kind of people.

00:02:49.560 So they're making it work.

00:02:50.380 I mean, people need to understand this, right?

00:02:52.200 This is how you know that it's on purpose.

00:02:56.360 There are nine sectors on the border.

00:02:58.280 Congressman Biggs represents Arizona.

00:02:59.840 He's regularly brought members of Congress, offered to both parties,

00:03:04.020 but only Republicans take him up on it usually.

00:03:07.920 Go down to the border, see these nine sectors.

00:03:10.200 So what has the Biden administration done?

00:03:12.140 They are surging force protection in just one of the nine,

00:03:16.480 and you're getting feedback from folks in these other eight sectors saying,

00:03:20.180 you know what, I wish they wouldn't have done anything

00:03:21.820 because what they've done is they've gaslit a yellow brick road

00:03:26.340 for the cartels to do their worst.

00:03:28.520 Yeah, that's exactly right.

00:03:30.020 Look, even the Border Patrol Agents Union knows this

00:03:33.280 and has come out condemning Mayorkas for broadcasting to the cartels.

00:03:39.360 Essentially, the safe havens are everywhere else on the border. 0.92

00:03:43.220 It's absolutely ludicrous.

00:03:45.180 And you know what? 0.92

00:03:47.160 When you're in Texas, if you're in El Paso,

00:03:50.180 they've already declared a state of emergency.

00:03:52.020 It's going to get overrun,

00:03:53.320 but there's going to be a lot of federal assets there.

00:03:55.720 But not so much if you're in Yuma, Arizona, or in NACO, or Douglas,

00:04:00.340 or if you're in McAllen, or if you're in even San Diego.

00:04:03.860 That's what you get.

00:04:05.220 Yeah, a lot of questions about what the state of Arizona is doing.

00:04:08.240 David on Facebook wants to know,

00:04:10.380 can the state of Arizona do anything to prepare for this tidal wave?

00:04:14.820 Yeah, absolutely, except for we have a bad governor

00:04:17.280 who is not only not prepared for the tidal wave,

00:04:20.040 she's facilitated.

00:04:21.580 Remember, Matt, you've been down there.

00:04:23.420 You've seen the cargo containers used as fence.

00:04:26.220 She had those taken down. 0.67

00:04:28.060 So she's actually tearing down wall structure. 1.00

00:04:31.240 I mean, not the wall that we typically think,

00:04:33.400 but a physical barrier that was actually putting some downward pressure on the flow.

00:04:38.520 She went and ripped it up.

00:04:39.660 Yeah, she took it out.

00:04:40.580 She also got rid of the DPS border, whatever they called their border security unit task force,

00:04:49.480 is what they called it.

00:04:50.060 They got rid of the border task force.

00:04:52.800 She's basically done everything she can to make Arizona less secure.

00:04:57.840 Jeez.

00:04:58.460 Well, I was on Newsmax, the Right Squad, a new program they have at 9 o'clock,

00:05:02.920 and Democrat political consultant Jason Nichols says,

00:05:06.120 the border's closed.

00:05:07.800 Play the clip.

00:05:10.580 So I think it's interesting.

00:05:12.600 We do have an issue on our border.

00:05:14.520 There's no question about that.

00:05:15.660 But we need to be honest about what's actually happening right now.

00:05:18.720 As Title 42, which was a public health determination

00:05:22.620 that was supposed to protect, you know, us during the COVID issue that we were having,

00:05:28.420 and that was a global issue.

00:05:29.680 Right now, the border is basically closed.

00:05:32.440 You cannot get in right now.

00:05:34.920 You cannot get in.

00:05:35.600 Should we bring the choice of our line?

00:05:37.180 What they've done is, if you'll let me finish before interrupting,

00:05:42.420 what they've done is they've created this app where you can apply to get in,

00:05:46.100 and you must look for asylum in countries before you actually get to the United States.

00:05:52.740 So that is actually the policy that's going on.

00:05:55.060 If you cross the border, there are going to be actual consequences, criminal consequences,

00:05:59.420 for crossing the border.

00:06:01.060 And those are the rules that we're going to cross.

00:06:02.440 I mean, come on.

00:06:04.480 We know the border's not closed.

00:06:05.340 Purpose.

00:06:05.860 This is not a problem that we're unable to solve.

00:06:08.720 There is no plan to deport the people of active deportation orders.

00:06:11.940 Why don't you guys...

00:06:12.940 And the administration...

00:06:14.260 And it's securely...

00:06:15.260 Where's the immigration reform, man?

00:06:17.660 I'm for any immigration that doesn't have amnesty salted into it.

00:06:21.320 That's why.

00:06:21.880 By the way, well, hold on.

00:06:23.060 We have our bill that is up this month.

00:06:25.120 In the coming weeks, we'll pass it out of the House of Representatives without amnesty.

00:06:31.280 Sorry for the crosstalk there.

00:06:33.240 We're still getting our rhythm down.

00:06:35.120 But, Andy, shouldn't we be happy the border's been secured by an app?

00:06:38.480 Yeah, I mean, what a crock.

00:06:41.260 It's like saying we're sending 1,500 soldiers down.

00:06:43.500 So you've got these two narrative changers that they hope will change the narrative.

00:06:47.440 The app, just so you know, it's basically a pre-registration to be released more efficiently,

00:06:53.360 more quickly into the United States.

00:06:54.960 And it's applying primarily to four countries that they're going to give 30,000 paroles every

00:07:00.800 month to in violation of our law.

00:07:03.280 That's what they're going to do.

00:07:04.220 And those people are going to get a piece of paper.

00:07:05.580 They're going to be expedited, released into the country.

00:07:09.460 They're going to have two years to work with this document.

00:07:13.080 That ain't securing the border.

00:07:14.800 That's providing the incentive for more people to come.

00:07:17.200 Yeah, I wonder what the terms of service will be on the app.

00:07:19.540 Because maybe that'll mean more to people than the fact that they're breaking our law.

00:07:23.760 They are committing the criminal offense of unlawful entry when they come here.

00:07:27.980 But those are the discussions we are having in Washington.

00:07:31.140 We have a plan.

00:07:32.340 The Democrats' plan is to use an app as really a ticket master into the country.

00:07:38.640 But I do want to get to the Republican plan.

00:07:41.060 One of the key features is E-Verify.

00:07:43.720 Congressman Biggs, recently in the House Judiciary Committee, spoke to that.

00:07:46.700 Take a listen.

00:07:47.080 We've had E-Verify for every employer in the state since December 31st, 2007.

00:07:58.220 16 years.

00:08:00.640 And you know what?

00:08:01.360 Arizona's had one of the most vibrant, healthy economies in the country.

00:08:05.880 90% of the leafy green vegetables that you eat for seven months out of the year come from Yuma County, Arizona.

00:08:15.840 And the growers who were scared to death that E-Verify was going to emasculate their ability to make a profit and survive,

00:08:26.560 now deal quite comfortably with E-Verify.

00:08:31.660 Because to actually run someone through an E-Verify system is a matter of seconds.

00:08:37.440 The bottom line is the E-Verify program in Arizona works.

00:08:42.300 Our economy has not folded.

00:08:43.960 We've managed to continue to have a very huge impact on America's leafy greens.

00:08:54.060 Eat a salad, a mixed green salad.

00:08:58.120 For seven, eight months out of the year, it's coming from Arizona.

00:09:03.860 E-Verify is a unidirectional issue.

00:09:06.480 There's not a single jurisdiction that has adopted E-Verify and then subsequently repealed it.

00:09:12.080 Because as Congressman Biggs just pointed out there, it works.

00:09:14.860 Got a question from Getter, a question about how much big business is paying to try to block

00:09:22.520 some of the immigration enforcement and border security measures that you and I support.

00:09:28.880 Well, I'm not seeing any direct, but what I would tell you is you've got groups and organizations

00:09:33.220 that want to affect E-Verify, for instance.

00:09:37.100 They want to affect cheap labor.

00:09:40.140 They want the cheap labor. 0.63

00:09:41.240 They want the cheap labor. 0.63

00:09:42.660 Yeah, there are groups in Washington that are set up as these white hat pro-business groups

00:09:47.440 when in reality, what they really want is to drive down wages and have people in our 0.99

00:09:51.220 country illegally.

00:09:52.180 Yeah, that's exactly right.

00:09:53.620 And that's where we're seeing it.

00:09:55.240 We're not seeing direct, but you'll see it.

00:09:57.460 Look at your representative from Congress.

00:10:01.020 Check out who's donating to them because that might give you an indication.

00:10:04.260 Always follow the money.

00:10:05.340 And they're attacking this bill.

00:10:08.820 And by the way, they're attacking the E-Verify portion of our bill as you and I sit here having

00:10:13.460 this discussion today.

00:10:15.280 Yeah.

00:10:15.480 Well, I'm glad you defended it.

00:10:16.960 You laid out the case where even the growers, the farmers who are typically put out as the

00:10:22.840 great opponents to E-Verify, you were pointing out how many had thrived.

00:10:26.540 And when you and I met with growers in Yuma, Arizona, they weren't worried about E-Verify.

00:10:30.240 They were worried about the contamination to their fields.

00:10:33.760 That was the real loss to them.

00:10:35.880 Now, there is a libertarian critique of the E-Verify system.

00:10:39.340 We've heard our colleague Thomas Massey recently put out that he's not going to be supportive

00:10:45.720 of the overall bill if it includes E-Verify.

00:10:49.640 How would you respond to that criticism that government list building is bad?

00:10:54.880 I don't disagree with his notion.

00:10:57.720 And in fact, I was skeptical of that in Arizona when it first came about because I was a policy

00:11:03.580 maker then.

00:11:05.440 But I will just tell you, at some point, you have to have the rule of law enforced.

00:11:12.220 And when you don't have the rule of law, you cannot have freedom.

00:11:16.540 You can't have a libertarian point of view.

00:11:18.560 And right now, we have no rule of law.

00:11:21.360 It's time to get hold of the rule of law.

00:11:22.900 How many votes do you think we'll get for this E-Verify bill that you've been a big part

00:11:27.740 of putting together?

00:11:28.940 Or not just the E-Verify, the whole border security package.

00:11:31.420 Well, the whole border security package, it's going to be probably about 218.

00:11:36.860 I think it's going to be right at the cusp, 218.

00:11:39.260 Right there.

00:11:40.000 I do.

00:11:40.540 I'll be voting for it.

00:11:41.500 So will you.

00:11:42.540 HR2 coming out of the House of Representatives this week.

00:11:45.260 Andy Biggs, one of the principal architects.

00:11:46.920 But, you know, I got a call yesterday from our colleague, Marjorie Taylor Greene.

00:11:51.720 And she was so mad about this, these waves of people that are lining up to come in the

00:11:56.680 country.

00:11:57.200 And she said, Matt, why aren't you guys impeaching Mayorkas in the Judiciary Committee?

00:12:02.040 You know, and she was upset and frustrated that there had not been sufficient progress

00:12:05.640 on that.

00:12:06.620 And I had to tell her quite candidly that I don't think we have the votes in the Judiciary

00:12:11.660 Committee to pass an impeachment.

00:12:14.200 Do you read it differently?

00:12:15.360 I mean, you have called for the impeachment of Mayorkas.

00:12:17.940 You've worked to build a political coalition.

00:12:19.860 But it's certainly not a majority in the House of Representatives right now.

00:12:25.360 It might not even be a majority on the Judiciary Committee.

00:12:28.180 It's not a majority in the Judiciary Committee.

00:12:30.720 It's a majority of Republicans.

00:12:33.240 But that keeps us a plurality.

00:12:36.440 We need really every Republican on that Judiciary Committee to come around.

00:12:40.420 But we don't have some.

00:12:41.640 And there are some that I don't think we'll ever get there.

00:12:43.720 Because they view it as a political process.

00:12:46.000 And some of them have told me, well, we should be impeaching Biden.

00:12:49.480 I said, OK, we already have those articles.

00:12:52.140 Sign on.

00:12:53.100 Well, I mean, my point is, if you aren't willing to impeach Mayorkas for this, is the tool even 0.99

00:12:59.820 accessible to a House of Representatives?

00:13:02.180 And maybe with this majority being the size it is, it isn't.

00:13:05.520 I do want to also reflect on the size of the majority in the context of these debt limit

00:13:10.260 negotiations.

00:13:11.420 So I'm going to posit a hypothesis to you.

00:13:13.940 And you're going to tell me if this is what's going to happen or what's not going to happen.

00:13:17.920 And everybody watching right now, save this clip, OK?

00:13:22.940 The Senate is going to do everything they can to delay.

00:13:27.100 They're going to beat up the House plan, talk about how the House plan that, by the way,

00:13:32.140 neither of us voted for, is sending the widows and the orphans out in the streets, abandoning

00:13:36.720 veterans, all kind of lies about the House plan.

00:13:39.940 And then at the very end, there's going to be some veneer of, oh, well, we'll do spending

00:13:46.820 cuts later.

00:13:48.000 Or we'll acknowledge a commission to look at the overall drivers of our debt.

00:13:53.200 And the deal will be H.R. 1, the House energy bill, which I don't oppose, but it'll be that

00:14:00.360 in exchange for a clean or almost entirely clean increase in the debt limit.

00:14:06.320 Do you think that's going to happen or not?

00:14:08.620 I think you're right.

00:14:12.540 And if the Senate goes the way I think it goes, we'll be lucky to get H.R. 1.

00:14:18.200 Because I think...

00:14:19.080 You think the final deal could be a clean debt limit?

00:14:21.120 It could be a clean debt limit.

00:14:22.520 I mean, they'll have to do some face-saving, but they want to do the least amount of face-saving

00:14:28.400 that they need to do.

00:14:29.640 So I'm talking about for the Mitt Romneys and the Susan Collins and those guys.

00:14:33.920 What they're going to do is, if they can, they want to do a clean debt ceiling with a

00:14:38.100 promise of a commission to study...

00:14:40.280 Yeah, off to committee land.

00:14:41.480 Yeah, off...

00:14:42.260 You just...

00:14:42.860 We're going to...

00:14:43.300 Everybody knows that that's just a joke.

00:14:45.660 That's a way to try to fool the public about your sincere intentions for the country.

00:14:49.520 Well, yeah, and that's right.

00:14:50.880 And that's what I think...

00:14:51.840 I think even our house plan was...

00:14:55.400 I don't doubt the sincerity of everybody who's there.

00:14:57.440 I agree with the sincerity.

00:14:58.820 I think it was not a bad plan, but it was incremental.

00:15:02.600 And right now, the ship is totally aground.

00:15:05.160 And we can't...

00:15:05.880 We don't have time to be incremental.

00:15:07.120 We actually could bend the curve back down and go to 2019 spending levels.

00:15:12.620 And guess what?

00:15:14.080 We would actually not need to raise the debt ceiling at all.

00:15:17.020 But I'm just saying that's me.

00:15:19.000 That's just me.

00:15:20.180 Yeah, but see, I don't think the country has been told that story with that mathematical

00:15:25.780 support.

00:15:26.620 Because all you hear on the mainstream media is that it's two options.

00:15:30.900 Raise the debt limit or plummet the global economy into catastrophe.

00:15:35.740 And there's actually a third option, which is to engage in deep vertical cuts.

00:15:40.180 I mean, you acknowledge that even in the legislation that you put together, to not have to raise

00:15:45.060 the debt limit, there are agencies that see 40% cuts, deeper cuts, foreign aid.

00:15:50.760 You take a meat cleaver to foreign aid. 0.99

00:15:52.920 But when the ship is aground, I think that's what you have to do.

00:15:57.120 Yeah, I mean, think about it.

00:15:58.560 We didn't even get an elimination of our participation in the World Health Organization.

00:16:04.020 We didn't even stop building a $3.5 billion FBI new Taj Mahal so they could surveil you

00:16:12.840 and me and Americans.

00:16:14.640 And instead of getting $80 billion taken out of that IRS deal, we got $71 billion.

00:16:19.900 What happened to the other $9 billion that the Biden administration funded?

00:16:24.000 I don't even know.

00:16:24.860 These weaponized bureaucracies soak up this money like a sponge.

00:16:31.840 And it really is difficult to repatriate it.

00:16:35.420 We've got this meeting coming up at 4 o'clock today.

00:16:38.100 My hypothesis is afterwards McCarthy walks out, says, we're still far apart.

00:16:42.980 I believe in cutting spending.

00:16:44.480 And I hope we can continue to talk.

00:16:46.360 How do you think it'll go?

00:16:47.100 That's his side, and I think Biden will talk about it.

00:16:51.720 We're going to keep talking, but we just think those guys are so unreasonable.

00:16:55.340 I think you've pegged the Speaker right on.

00:16:59.360 He doesn't have a lot of wiggle room here.

00:17:01.260 No.

00:17:02.120 The Speaker moved his plan.

00:17:03.620 Without our votes, he moved his plan off.

00:17:06.220 And if one person who had voted for that voted no, if George Santos had voted no instead of yes, then there would be no Republican debt limit plan.

00:17:16.480 Because we weren't real excited about raising the debt limit.

00:17:20.740 But my suspicion is Biden's going to try to run out the clock.

00:17:24.300 Which, you know, you don't really run into a lot of 80-year-old men who are trying to run out the clock.

00:17:28.420 So it's, I guess you need...

00:17:30.000 He's playing with fire there, brother.

00:17:31.460 In that regard.

00:17:32.440 Okay, let's go to this breaking story on weaponization that we've learned about in the Judiciary Committee.

00:17:40.080 This Hunter Biden letter signed by 51 intelligence officials saying that the laptop was disinformation.

00:17:47.860 We now know, as a result of a Republican majority and our efforts on the House Judiciary Committee,

00:17:52.940 that that was triggered by the current Secretary of State, Tony Blinken.

00:17:57.660 And the person he triggered to organize it was actually the one in the queue to be CIA director until Democrat Senator Wyden didn't like some of the stuff that he'd done in yesteryear.

00:18:09.000 But these were the guys that saw their path to Secretary of State and CIA director being linked to the ability to create disinformation around politics.

00:18:21.800 I wanted your reaction to the trouble Secretary Blinken's in.

00:18:26.160 Well, I think it's real trouble.

00:18:29.060 And I think you did a great job describing it.

00:18:31.840 The way I viewed it is, here you have a guy who is organizing, spying, and disinformation for political purposes.

00:18:43.820 And then he's organizing all these people with security clearance.

00:18:47.280 These guys, a lot of them still have national security clearance, Matt.

00:18:50.480 And to me, I look at it and say, this is why we can't have nice things.

00:18:56.240 You've got a guy, and he's basically running us out of town.

00:19:00.700 And he's doing it for political purposes.

00:19:03.220 And part of it is because he just wants power.

00:19:06.820 And when he gets to power, you have seen him.

00:19:08.920 He's perhaps the worst Secretary of State.

00:19:11.480 And there's a lot of bad ones. 0.99

00:19:14.380 But he is so bad.

00:19:16.340 And this attack, this attack by these 51 guys who just made this up, it ripples through.

00:19:23.300 You've got the FBI suppressing that laptop.

00:19:26.380 And then they're basically giving cover over that.

00:19:28.840 And then I suspect that if you trace this around, you're going to see a tie right into the attempt to impeach Donald Trump over that Ukraine phone call.

00:19:38.700 I think it all kinds of comes back to the same personnel.

00:19:41.940 And it is evidenced in the fact that their ideas seem to reemerge, even when we try to squelch them and stop them.

00:19:48.820 Let's find that Boebert tweet, if we can, and put it up on the screen.

00:19:51.900 Congresswoman Boebert took note.

00:19:53.960 This is her tweet, at Lauren Boebert.

00:19:56.340 The Director of National Intelligence has just stated they'll be opening up a new office to oversee, quote, misinformation.

00:20:04.840 So they'll be trying for the third time to open their Ministry of Truth.

00:20:08.840 Well, I kind of like the first couple of attempts. 1.00

00:20:11.460 Time to kill this one, too. 1.00

00:20:13.440 Or she said she killed the first couple of attempts and wants to kill this one, too. 1.00

00:20:16.100 So we would certainly agree with Congresswoman Boebert.

00:20:18.200 But she is highlighting the fact that even when you kill the Ministry of Truth at the Department of Homeland Security,

00:20:24.240 then the Director of National Intelligence tries to reincarnate the enterprise.

00:20:28.280 Yeah, this is so Orwellian.

00:20:30.620 I mean, you're just continually fighting the same fight.

00:20:34.000 It's a Sisyphean type of effort.

00:20:37.680 We're rolling the rock up, and it keeps rolling back down on us.

00:20:40.520 And that tells me it's time to blow some of this stuff up.

00:20:43.660 Which goes back to the debt limit, because guess what?

00:20:46.240 Guess what?

00:20:46.720 Raising the debt limit is the fuel that propels all of this.

00:20:52.560 It really is.

00:20:53.880 Well, look, you and I have a mutual friend here.

00:20:55.740 I love this guy, but he's always saying we need to stop funding the people who are trying to destroy the country.

00:21:00.940 Well, you know how you do that?

00:21:02.580 You don't give them a trillion and a half dollars debt ceiling increase.

00:21:06.880 You should say, no, we're going to go back to spending within our means.

00:21:10.400 And then we're going to just get rid of programs, eliminate agencies.

00:21:13.780 There's 1,200 agencies, programs, departments that we haven't even authorized that are receiving $500 billion a year, Matt.

00:21:20.540 That is insane.

00:21:23.220 Andy Biggs represents Arizona's 5th district.

00:21:27.840 Honored to have him here.

00:21:28.800 Also a musician, and so I did want your take.

00:21:31.240 Ed Sheeran gets a big win in court.

00:21:33.640 Turns out the terrific song, Thinking Out Loud, is not a ripoff of Marvin Gaye, Let's Get It On.

00:21:41.120 Your take.

00:21:41.880 Yeah, I thought that was the right verdict.

00:21:44.100 I was following that.

00:21:45.840 You know, you have four chords.

00:21:47.020 Each song is a four-chord song, although Ed also has a chorus in his.

00:21:51.160 The second chord of both I thought was significantly different, not to get into the music theory,

00:21:55.240 but I just think you can't copyright a chord progression.

00:22:00.080 Otherwise, everything's going to be derivative.

00:22:02.720 And quite frankly...

00:22:03.320 Wait until AI can go and align all the chord progressions, and then the AI legal tools go and secure intellectual property rights over it.

00:22:14.320 Exactly.

00:22:14.760 There'll be nothing left for the humans.

00:22:16.520 And we're fast approaching that.

00:22:18.420 I don't know if you've seen this.

00:22:19.380 There are a lot of AI songs that are being developed right now.

00:22:23.140 If we have to submit to our robot overlords, I hope they at least play us good music on the way.

00:22:29.660 I have got a bone to pick with the five.

00:22:33.980 The five-covered legislation that I've introduced with Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

00:22:39.380 to stop members of Congress from trading individual stocks and see the bizarre way they discussed it.

00:22:46.260 Play the clip.

00:22:48.700 I smell a romantic comedy.

00:22:50.840 A beautiful left-wing communist in Congress, a dashing right-wing male fresh off a wrongful accusation of sexual misconduct.

00:23:02.360 They come together to fight one of the most corrupt practices in politics, and they fall in love.

00:23:09.860 They can't help themselves.

00:23:10.840 She's got a French poodle. 1.00

00:23:12.280 He's got a strange hairline.

00:23:13.820 But somehow they're going to make it work.

00:23:15.680 And then they're going to leave politics and start their own business.

00:23:18.900 It'll be like a bakery.

00:23:20.380 A bakery.

00:23:21.180 A vegan bakery.

00:23:22.560 A vegan bakery for pets.

00:23:24.820 He's happily married.

00:23:25.560 A vegan bakery.

00:23:26.340 No, he's going to leave her.

00:23:27.460 No, he's not.

00:23:28.380 He's married.

00:23:29.800 He's married.

00:23:30.420 He's married.

00:23:31.020 He's married.

00:23:31.820 And don't ruin her.

00:23:33.040 And she's engaged.

00:23:33.860 Dude, this is not the worst scandal.

00:23:35.980 The real scandal is caused by politicians who vote for increased spending and increased printing of money,

00:23:42.360 which is their method of self-preservation, which leads to inflation, which is a tax,

00:23:47.840 expanding the money supply, which makes each single dollar worth less.

00:23:52.700 So we all get screwed because the prices go up instead of down.

00:23:58.100 So it's a double whammy in a capitalist society.

00:24:00.480 This shouldn't happen.

00:24:01.320 You shouldn't have massive government spending.

00:24:03.280 So that's good.

00:24:03.940 That's everybody is guilty.

00:24:05.820 Every time they vote for spending or vote for printing money, they create more inflation.

00:24:11.080 That's a huge.

00:24:11.840 What am I doing?

00:24:12.640 I don't know.

00:24:13.020 I don't know.

00:24:13.600 But in this story, can I marry them?

00:24:15.520 Yes, you will be married.

00:24:17.400 We'll all do cameos.

00:24:18.400 Well, I feel bad.

00:24:18.780 We have the number one show.

00:24:20.560 We should be doing cameos.

00:24:21.680 That is, in fact, the number one show in all of television.

00:24:29.000 And I want to thank Jesse Waters at the outset for noting that I am happily married.

00:24:34.240 And Jesse knows that because he was actually there with his lovely wife, Emma, on Ginger and my third date.

00:24:40.300 So just as we were getting to know one another and falling in love, Jesse was there bearing witness.

00:24:45.580 So I'm glad he had my back in that endeavor.

00:24:48.520 And it does seem a little childish to me that the media always has to over-sexualize everything that AOC is involved with.

00:24:55.300 They wouldn't do that to men.

00:24:57.560 And two people can engage in serious legislation that's not renaming some post office but trying to make our Congress more honest and more ethical without that type of, I think, very childish and immature commentary.

00:25:11.140 And then Judge Jeanine.

00:25:13.020 Judge Jeanine, who starts out saying I am happily married.

00:25:16.900 Judge Jeanine, who was sitting at my table at Mar-a-Lago the night I proposed to my wife, by the end of the Greg Gutfeld rant, she's bailed and she's wanting to be the officiant for me in AOC.

00:25:31.340 So shame on you, Judge Jeanine.

00:25:33.080 You know better than that.

00:25:34.180 You were there for my engagement.

00:25:35.560 You actually took the first picture of me and my then-fiancé, now-wife.

00:25:39.980 So be better.

00:25:41.180 Or as our lovely former first lady would say, be best.

00:25:44.700 I also wanted to deal with a military wokeness matter that emerged for us.

00:25:52.780 You will recall in my questions of the Secretary of Defense, I asked about these drag shows and drag performance, this embrace of drag in DOD.

00:26:02.900 It struck me as very odd.

00:26:03.960 I wish we weren't talking about those things, but it seems like it's something the military has become low-key obsessed with.

00:26:11.200 And the Navy even hired one of these drag performers and promoted them as a digital ambassador. 0.59

00:26:18.160 So that you get the context, play the clip.

00:26:22.020 You know, drag queen story hours is not something that the department funds.

00:26:27.160 Wait a second.

00:26:28.040 That's actually not what the record seems to suggest.

00:26:30.860 You were going to fund one at Ramstein Air Force Base.

00:26:32.980 That one got canceled, but that's DOD insignia.

00:26:36.440 That's a drag queen story hour for children. 1.00

00:26:39.460 I guess my question is, how much taxpayer money should go to fund drag queen story hours on military bases?

00:26:47.540 Listen, drag shows are not something that the Department of Defense supports or funds.

00:26:54.240 Active duty yeoman, second class Joshua Kelly doubles as drag queen Harpy Daniels and now is the face of the Navy's recruitment drive as a digital ambassador.

00:27:06.540 I have a lot of sailors on here, including high-ranking people, including chiefs and people who are within the DOD and DON who do follow me.

00:27:15.100 So at this point, I'm going to call you out because I'm not here with the harassment.

00:27:20.340 I'm not here with the BS.

00:27:21.580 Mike, I've already let my command know who you are.

00:27:23.460 Anybody who decides to harass me online, I let them know.

00:27:26.000 Do it.

00:27:26.900 I just showed you the evidence.

00:27:29.100 Why are they happening?

00:27:32.980 I will say again, this is not something that we support or fund.

00:27:37.780 Can we skip to the good part?

00:27:44.580 We are back live, and China and Russia are laughing at us.

00:27:52.900 Mr. Pitter on Rumble says,

00:27:54.660 Greg Gutfeld is not funny, a view held by many of you watching now.

00:27:58.280 Andy, what is going on with our military?

00:28:00.140 Our military has been taken over by some of the wokest incompetents I've seen in the history of the United States.

00:28:07.900 You've got Milley, you've got Austin.

00:28:09.500 These are the same guys who orchestrated the failed Afghanistan retreat. 0.77

00:28:14.600 But they're also imposing this woke standard.

00:28:18.920 They've also tried to impose ESG and DEI on military contractors.

00:28:25.860 You cannot say that the left hasn't taken over every institution when you see how much they've taken over the military.

00:28:32.860 And you're right.

00:28:34.240 All you have to do is compare a recruiting ad of Russia.

00:28:37.800 Just take a look at how they recruit.

00:28:40.880 Take a look at a recruiting ad in China and compare it to what you just saw.

00:28:45.820 And say, oh, yeah, they're in the real world.

00:28:48.660 We're not.

00:28:49.920 And that's the problem that we have is the whole Biden regime on every issue, they're in some la-la land.

00:28:56.660 While the rest of the real world has to deal with the fallout from that because there are real people, real bad actors.

00:29:03.600 There are real adversaries, real opponents, and we're not prepared for them, whether it's a narco-terrorist cartel or it's a China or it's Russia or any other potential adversary.

00:29:13.740 A lot going on right now from the debt limit to the border to the military.

00:29:19.920 We will bring you all that information here on Firebrand.

00:29:36.720 You do a great job representing Arizona.

00:29:38.300 Proud to call you my friend.

00:29:39.400 Yeah, you're my good buddy, too.

00:29:40.500 Thanks.

00:29:40.920 Thanks, Matt.
