Summary

Critical Race Theory (CRT) is an explicitly racist ideology. It's anti-white, anti-black, and anti-Asian. It answers the questions I've asked in direct contradiction to the values of most Americans and the organizing principles of our great nation. CRT is everywhere: our military, our education system, corporate America, virtually every aspect of our government, all pushed endlessly by the true enemy of the people, the America Last Press.

00:00:01.000 The embattled Congressman Matt Gaetz.
00:00:03.000 Matt Gaetz was one of the very few members in the entire Congress
00:00:06.000 who bothered to stand up against permanent Washington on behalf of his constituents.
00:00:10.000 Matt Gaetz right now, he's a problem for the Democratic Party.
00:00:13.000 He could cause a lot of hiccups in passing applause.
00:00:16.000 So we're going to keep running those stories to keep hurting him.
00:00:20.000 If you stand for the flag and kneel in prayer,
00:00:23.000 if you want to build America up and not burn her to the ground,
00:00:26.000 then welcome, my fellow patriots.
00:00:29.000 You are in the right place. This is the movement for you.
00:00:33.000 You ever watch this guy on television?
00:00:35.000 It's like a machine. Matt Gaetz.
00:00:38.000 I'm a canceled man in some corners of the internet.
00:00:41.000 Many days I'm a marked man in Congress, a wanted man by the deep state.
00:00:45.000 They aren't really coming for me. They're coming for you.
00:00:49.000 I'm just in the way.
00:00:52.000 If critical race theory means making children in school fixate on race,
00:00:58.000 I'm not for that.
00:01:00.000 If it makes, if it's about collective guilt,
00:01:04.000 I didn't do anything to your great, great, great grandfather.
00:01:07.000 I don't want to be responsible for that.
00:01:10.000 If it's about, you know, a toxicity of just from being born white,
00:01:15.000 if it's about dividing everybody into oppressor and oppressed and oppressor,
00:01:21.000 I'm not for that.
00:01:22.000 So there are things that are being taught and are going around that I'm not for,
00:01:26.000 that if that was critical race theory, I wouldn't be for.
00:01:29.000 Welcome to Firebrand. I'm Congressman Matt Gaetz.
00:01:33.000 And our lead topic today, critical race theory.
00:01:37.000 Is America a nation that believes in racial integration or not?
00:01:42.000 Are we a country united in common destiny?
00:01:45.000 Or is our destiny defined by race for better or worse?
00:01:49.000 Should national policy aspire to be colorblind, fair to everyone, regardless of race?
00:01:54.000 Or must we view every policy decision through the lens of color and kind?
00:02:00.000 Should military service members view themselves and their fellow patriots differently based on skin color?
00:02:06.000 Or should we have one united fighting force?
00:02:08.000 Be all you can be, after all.
00:02:10.000 Should schools teach children that whiteness is evil or ignorant?
00:02:15.000 Is capitalism an engine of upward mobility?
00:02:18.000 Or a manifestation of white supremacy?
00:02:21.000 Should voting be based on the will of the people?
00:02:24.000 Or is democracy less important than racial quotas?
00:02:28.000 Are we still a nation that has a dream?
00:02:31.000 Critical race theory is an explicitly racist ideology.
00:02:35.000 It's anti-white, it's anti-black, and it's really anti-Asian too, actually.
00:02:41.000 It answers the questions I've asked in direct contradiction to the values of most Americans
00:02:47.000 and the organizing principles of our great nation.
00:02:50.000 And critical race theory is everywhere.
00:02:53.000 Our military, our education system, corporate America, virtually every aspect of our government.
00:03:00.000 All pushed endlessly by the true enemy of the people, the America Last Press.
00:03:05.000 It will destroy our country if we do not diagnose it, recognize its manifestations, and vanquish it from our nation.
00:03:12.000 Dr. Malvo is a critical race theorist who recently testified before the House Judiciary Committee
00:03:17.000 to support financial reparations to descendants of slaves.
00:03:21.000 Yes, your current Congress is actually voting on something as divisive as racial reparations.
00:03:27.000 The explicit bigotry of her argument was on full display.
00:03:33.000 I'm not kumbaya.
00:03:34.000 So I don't like to think that white people are evil.
00:03:36.000 I think white people are ignorant.
00:03:37.000 Oh, we're just ignorant.
00:03:39.000 What an idiot.
00:03:40.000 We'll expose the radical ideological core of critical race theory.
00:03:44.000 I've got results of our investigation into how CRT is being backed by powerful forces in big media, big government, and big tech.
00:03:52.000 You'll see the legislation in Washington and throughout America that is the antidote to this sickness.
00:03:58.000 And if you need marching orders, we'll have information about how parents, patriots, tiger moms are all joining together
00:04:05.000 for empowerment and action to defeat critical race theory.
00:04:09.000 One way the woke media tries to cover for CRT is to say its opponents are simply misinformed.
00:04:15.000 We don't understand.
00:04:17.000 Do these vocal opponents of critical race theory actually understand fully what it is?
00:04:22.000 No.
00:04:23.000 The Republicans invoking it as a cudgel don't seem to actually understand what it is about.
00:04:29.000 First of all, most people who talk about critical race theory don't actually know what it is.
00:04:34.000 And so they've begun to demonize it in a way that they have whitewashed the public's mind in the way that they've whitewashed our history.
00:04:44.000 And there have been several reports, and I've run into this as well, about legislators not really being able to define what critical race theory is.
00:04:51.000 I would say that I doubt that Rick DeSantis or most Republicans actually know what critical race theory is.
00:04:58.000 His name is Ron DeSantis, governor of the third largest state. At least we know that.
00:05:04.000 We also know a lot about critical race theory actually.
00:05:07.000 And I'm going to take you through the scholarship and the frightening adoption in our own government.
00:05:13.000 It's freaking wild.
00:05:15.000 So let's endeavor to learn what CRT means from lead CRT authors.
00:05:19.000 Critical race theory frontman Ibram Kendi wrote how to be anti-racist, but his definitions are hardly illuminating.
00:05:27.000 Take a listen.
00:05:29.000 And I define an anti-racist as someone who is expressing an anti-racist idea or supporting an anti-racist policy.
00:05:38.000 So to be anti-racist, all you have to do is be anti-racist. Sounds easy, right?
00:05:44.000 No. If you deny that you're racist, that in fact makes you a racist.
00:05:49.000 Fundamentally, racism, its heartbeat has always been denied. And the sound of that heartbeat has always been, I'm not racist. To be put, be more specific, the sound of that heartbeat has always been not racist.
00:06:10.000 By this standard, behold, America's racist president.
00:06:14.000 Corey should apologize. He knows better. There's not a racist bone in my body. I've been involved in civil rights my whole career. Period.
00:06:24.000 Joe Biden has the boomer. Period. But what does this all mean? Question mark. If you say you aren't a racist, you are a racist. And the only way to be anti-racist is to admit that you are in fact racist.
00:06:39.000 And that is the distinction between a racist and an anti-racist. A racist, no matter what is said about them, no matter how they're charged with being racist, they're always going to deny it.
00:06:52.000 While an anti-racist will take these definitions of a racist idea, of a racist policy and of a racist and apply their behavior to it and say, you know what? I was being a racist.
00:07:06.000 Ironically, Americans who self-identify as not racist, whether they're conservatives, moderates, liberals, radicals, progressives, they don't realize, I think many of us don't realize, that we are connecting ourselves to a history of slave traders.
00:07:30.000 It's decided. The more not racist you feel, the closer to a slave trader you become. Bad news for the big guy.
00:07:38.000 I mean, the one thing you cannot say about Joe is that he's a racist.
00:07:42.000 The prosecutors of the Salem witch trials would be proud. After all, only witches deny being witches.
00:07:49.000 Throw her in the lake and tie her feet together. If she survives, she's obviously a witch. If she ends up dead at the bottom of the lake, we will acknowledge her innocence.
00:07:58.000 Don't trust anyone who tells you that only the innocent plead guilty and only the guilty plead innocent.
00:08:04.000 Sometimes innocent people just act innocent. The best way to understand critical race theory is as a criticism and rejection of the two main goals of the civil rights movement, mainly racial integration and colorblind public policy.
00:08:21.000 Dr. King believed that all people of all races should live together and that public policy shouldn't treat different races differently.
00:08:28.000 I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
00:08:44.000 One day right now in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers. I have a dream today.
00:08:55.000 When critical race theorists are not making Dr. King's dream more difficult to achieve with their demonization of white people, they're critiquing Dr. King himself directly, asserting their deep dissatisfaction with the civil rights discourse.
00:09:11.000 Critical race theory doesn't call for an integrated colorblind America imagined by Dr. King.
00:09:17.000 It tantalizes the worst impulses within us, ethno-nationalism, otherizing our fellow Americans who don't look like us.
00:09:24.000 Dangerous division of the races in our great country. It harkens to a darker time indeed. Separate is not equal, nor preferable, nor American.
00:09:34.000 Critical race theorist Gary Peeler reduces these divisive ideas to writing.
00:09:39.000 Whatever the intentions of black and white integrationists, it should now be apparent that the exclusion of a nationalist approach to racial justice has been a cultural and political mistake.
00:09:53.000 Racial nationalism is not a cure for racism. It is a recipe for more racism and probably more violence harmful to America.
00:10:02.000 Critical race theorists aren't the intellectual successors to Dr. King. They embody the most separatist, harmful ideals of Malcolm X.
00:10:10.000 Dr. King wanted us to be colorblind. The CRT gang would separate us based on race.
00:10:17.000 How we treat each other, how the government treats all of us would be based exclusively on race.
00:10:23.000 And if you aren't the preferred race, look out, hold on, buckle up. It doesn't end well for you or your children.
00:10:30.000 As critical race theorist John O'Kalamar warns, the voices that matter in a CRT world are distinctively non-white.
00:10:40.000 CRT is explicitly non-white. Ethno-nationalism. Black nationalism. This is sadly the CRT objective.
00:10:48.000 And they're willing to instantly label you a racist if you don't self-execute the smear for them.
00:10:54.000 E pluribus unum. Out of many, one. They refuse our vision to make America one nation under God, instead choosing a land of endless grievances.
00:11:06.000 In practice, see the heartbreaking impact on high school student Brad Taylor.
00:11:11.000 I'll take you back to my first day at RHS this fall. The principal came out and gave us a heartfelt speech about equality and standing together.
00:11:19.000 He began to list countless races, such as Latino, Asian, expressing how much they matter and how important they are.
00:11:26.000 But never once did he mention a race or identity that reflects me or half the kids that were in the class.
00:11:31.000 Now, members of the board, I know you haven't been to school in a while.
00:11:34.000 And I know most of the people, I know none of you or most of you don't have any kids left in the school district.
00:11:39.000 But you must admit how uncomfortable it would be to be characterized just by your skin color on the first day of school and be thought that you were wrong just because of your skin color.
00:11:50.000 To be clear, I don't need you to tell me that I matter.
00:11:53.000 But hearing the condolences given to other races and leaving just one race out, inevitably you'll start to feel like you've done something wrong.
00:12:02.000 And in our principal's attempt to unify us, he instead created unwarranted boundaries and barriers between his students, pitting us against each other based on characteristics that we can't control.
00:12:12.000 The first day of school during the wonder years is hard enough without your principal worshiping at the altar of the race baiters.
00:12:20.000 Donald Trump was having none of it. In September 2020, Trump issued Executive Order 13950 banning critical race theory.
00:12:28.000 The Trump order notes, the Department of Treasury recently held a seminar that promoted the arguments that virtually all white people, regardless of how woke they are, contribute to racism.
00:12:39.000 Training materials from Argonne National Laboratories, a federal entity, stated that racism is interwoven into every fabric of America and described colorblindness and meritocracy as actions of bias.
00:12:53.000 Materials from Sandia National Laboratories, also a federal entity for non-minority males, stated that an emphasis on rationality over emotionality was characteristic of white males and that those present must acknowledge their privilege to each other.
00:13:11.000 The Trump order concludes that all Americans are created equal and that critical race theory in the federal workforce is strictly prohibited.
00:13:20.000 Sadly, but not surprisingly, President Biden repealed the Trump order on his first day, replacing it with a full embrace of critical race theory.
00:13:31.000 Equality as a governing concept was replaced with equity.
00:13:35.000 Equality and equity are not the same thing, as Kamala Harris tells us in this hokey campaign video.
00:13:41.000 So there's a big difference between equality and equity. Equality suggests, oh, everyone should get the same amount. The problem with that, not everybody's starting out from the same place.
00:13:52.000 So if we're all getting the same amount, but you started out back there and I started out over here, we could get the same amount, but you're still going to be that far back behind me.
00:14:03.000 It's about giving people the resources and the support they need so that everyone can be on equal footing and then compete on equal footing. Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place.
00:14:17.000 If having everyone end up in the same place sounds like an embrace of socialism and a rejection of capitalism.
00:14:24.000 Well, that's exactly the point. After all, Kendi tells us that capitalism is essentially racist and racism is essentially capitalist.
00:14:32.000 Kendi also tells us that race neutral public policy is an illusion. All policy must be either racist or anti-racist.
00:14:41.000 If we eliminated the term race neutral from the American vocabulary to recognize that all policies are either racist or anti-racist.
00:14:53.000 So everything is racist or anti-racist. And to get into the anti-racist club, you must begin by stepping into the racism confessional.
00:15:02.000 Imagine having to categorize every policy at every level of government as either racist or anti-racist.
00:15:08.000 Senate Resolution 241 commemorates World Press Freedom Day. Is that racist or anti-racist?
00:15:14.000 In South Dakota, it's illegal to fall asleep in a cheese factory. What's the structural racism there?
00:15:21.000 In Tennessee, it's illegal to share your Netflix password. I feel like I could make the argument that that is both racist and anti-racist.
00:15:29.000 It's not just the bills we vote on. It's the results our people achieve.
00:15:33.000 And if there's a disparity between racial groups, it must be because of racist power and policy.
00:15:41.000 Critical race theory says every single disparity in outcomes among racial groups is the result of racism.
00:15:48.000 There can be no other explanation.
00:15:50.000 In America today, the highest educated and the highest earning racial group, Indian Americans.
00:15:57.000 I guess we must all wonder why they've been just so racist to the rest of us.
00:16:02.000 Clearly, this is nonsense. But why bother with objective logic?
00:16:07.000 Critical race theorists tell us to reject the traditional dictates that implore us to write and study as detached observers
00:16:15.000 whose work is purportedly objective, neutral, and balanced. That's from John O'Callamore.
00:16:21.000 Objectivity, balance, neutrality. It's all for suckers if you ask Team CRT.
00:16:27.000 Instead, critical race theorists embrace the subjectivity of perspective and are avowedly political.
00:16:34.000 In other words, they aren't here to study and review and analyze. They're here to seize power.
00:16:40.000 And you cannot defeat them in an argument because objective facts aren't their value premise.
00:16:45.000 They tell you that. Objectivity, neutrality, that's rejected.
00:16:50.000 All that matters is that they subjectively believe that a racial reorder of society benefits them.
00:16:56.000 One person, one vote democracy, another American value that the critical race theorists would jettison to accomplish their goals.
00:17:04.000 Critical race theorist Lanny Guineer writes,
00:17:06.000 There is a need to talk one man, one vote, a little less, and a little more of political equity as a functional component of effective representation.
00:17:17.000 They call it race conscious districting.
00:17:20.000 But what they really mean is a race-based quota system in government that will truly be not representative.
00:17:27.000 Critical race theory is an attack on our representative form of government.
00:17:32.000 But that doesn't stop the America Last Media from giving CRT a loving embrace and endless defense.
00:17:39.000 By the way, ain't no problem with being woke.
00:17:41.000 Can it influence the way that some teachers teach?
00:17:46.000 Yeah, but that's a good thing, right?
00:17:48.000 Because race and racism is literally the building box of this country.
00:17:53.000 By the way, critical race theory is enormously useful.
00:17:56.000 It's exactly what we need in the military in this country.
00:17:58.000 We need to talk to each other about the problems that we face.
00:18:01.000 We really do.
00:18:02.000 But Republicans, like Matt Gaetz, they just want to sweep it all under the rug, distract you from revving up the old outrage machine.
00:18:10.000 I think Donald Trump was right. That is the dumbest man on television.
00:18:14.000 I am outraged, and I hope America is too.
00:18:17.000 The New York Times recently published an editorial claiming that the reason supporting critical race theory is so important in schools
00:18:24.000 is to ensure that the next generation of Americans can fully appreciate reparations as a policy matter.
00:18:31.000 Redistribution of wealth, primarily on race, seems to always be their end zone.
00:18:37.000 Americans are waking up and fighting back.
00:18:41.000 In Congress, the thought leader on the Republican side is Republican Burgess Owens from Utah.
00:18:46.000 Take a listen.
00:18:47.000 Only those who say there's no progress are those who do not want progress.
00:18:50.000 The greatest gift that we had with President Obama, with our American people saying, finally, we can close this chapter.
00:18:58.000 Finally, we can move forward.
00:19:00.000 And what have we done since?
00:19:02.000 That has divided us even more with critical race theory being introduced around the same time.
00:19:08.000 We have a community now that lives the American dream, look around this room, and see the middle class that we have developed and more.
00:19:16.000 And yet we tell those who are striving to get where we are that they can't because white people won't let them.
00:19:21.000 That, to me, is treacherous. It's traitorous for us to tell others who want the American dream that they can't achieve it because other people with a white skin won't let them do that.
00:19:35.000 If you want to repeat a black American community, give us back our history.
00:19:39.000 It was Karl Marx who said, the first battleground rewriting of history.
00:19:44.000 And that's exactly what's been happening.
00:19:47.000 You take away our history, you take away pride in our past, appreciation for our present and a vision for our future.
00:19:52.000 And that's what you're seeing in Chicago, Baltimore, Ferguson.
00:19:57.000 Every place Democrats oversee a black community is misery.
00:20:02.000 And we're going to blame white people?
00:20:04.000 How about an ideology?
00:20:06.000 How about we take ownership, educate our young people again, give them jobs opportunities again, tell them that the way to get in this country is through free market.
00:20:15.000 Allow them to take away the regulations, allow them to run their own businesses.
00:20:18.000 Don't burn down their businesses every year because a white police shoots a black person.
00:20:26.000 When you have black people, 93% of the thousands of black people being killed are by other black people.
00:20:32.000 Yeah, traitorous.
00:20:34.000 The first line of offense against critical race theory has come from America's parents who don't want to see their children raised to hate each other or themselves.
00:20:43.000 The media tells us that opposition to critical race theory is motivated primarily by opportunist politicians.
00:20:50.000 Matt Gaetz trying to spark outrage.
00:20:52.000 Is that what this sounds like?
00:20:54.000 My fear is this type of curriculum will actually breed more racism and more divide in our country rather than unity.
00:21:01.000 It saddened me how I have witnessed my own children lose friendships because their friends make assumptions about them.
00:21:09.000 They tell them they are privileged because they're white or they are bad people because their dad is a police officer.
00:21:17.000 So, so many of my kids' closest and best friends who were basically like family to us and welcomed in our own home have now totally disregarded my own children.
00:21:29.000 And I can see why kids are being forced into this noxious blame game.
00:21:35.000 Take a look at some of the CRT instructional materials.
00:21:38.000 This was presented in a school district in Iowa.
00:21:41.000 Make America Great Again is racist.
00:21:44.000 Denying white privilege is racist.
00:21:46.000 Denying racism apparently in any setting is racist.
00:21:50.000 What the hell is happening to our country?
00:21:52.000 Fortunately, there are real people making the common sense case against critical race theory.
00:21:58.000 When you talk about critical race theory, which is pretty much going to be teaching kids how to hate each other, how to dislike each other, that's pretty much what it's going to all come down to.
00:22:09.000 You're going to deliberately teach kids?
00:22:11.000 This white kid right here got it better than you because he's white?
00:22:14.000 You're going to purposely tell a white kid, oh, the black people are all down and suppressed.
00:22:18.000 How do I have two medical degrees if I'm sitting here oppressed?
00:22:21.000 How do I get?
00:22:22.000 First of all, right, sign up.
00:22:23.000 Because I only got five minutes now.
00:22:24.000 Five minutes.
00:22:25.000 Two medical degrees.
00:22:26.000 No mom, no dad in the house.
00:22:28.000 Worked my way through college.
00:22:29.000 Sat there and hustled my butt off to get through college.
00:22:31.000 You're going to tell me somebody that looked like all y'all white folks kept me from doing that?
00:22:34.000 Are you serious?
00:22:35.000 What's sickening about this whole thing is what y'all doing right now is already something I do in my community right now to speak out against it.
00:22:41.000 Because black folks are getting told by other black folks.
00:22:44.000 Oh, you know you ain't going to be able to do nothing out there in the world because them white folks ain't going to let you get nowhere.
00:22:47.000 You know you're not going to be able to do it because the white man, the white man going to keep you down.
00:22:52.000 Well, how did I get where I am right now if some white man kept me down?
00:22:55.000 How am I now directing over folks that look just like you guys in this room right now?
00:22:58.000 How?
00:22:59.000 What kept me down?
00:23:00.000 What oppressed me?
00:23:01.000 I worked for myself from off the streets to where I am right now.
00:23:04.000 Are you going to sit here and tell me this lie of critical race theory?
00:23:07.000 This is the reason why black folks can't get ahead because of white folks?
00:23:10.000 Are you kidding me?
00:23:11.000 This is what we come to now?
00:23:12.000 I can't believe we even talking about this right now.
00:23:14.000 The last thing I'm going to say right here is something that's crazy.
00:23:16.000 Martin Luther King said he wanted his kids to grow up in a world where they are judged by the contents of their what?
00:23:22.000 Their character, not their skin.
00:23:25.000 If they let this stuff go on right now, it is absolutely doing the complete reverse.
00:23:29.000 Like this caring father.
00:23:31.000 Many parents are now millennials.
00:23:33.000 We embrace the color blindness advanced so bravely by Dr. King, not the racial identity division inherent in CRT.
00:23:41.000 Take this heartwarming family as another example.
00:23:44.000 Daddy teaches you you can be anything in this world that you want to be, right?
00:23:49.000 Don't daddy teach you that?
00:23:50.000 Yeah, and it doesn't matter if you're black or white or any color.
00:23:54.000 Doesn't matter if you're black, white, brown, yellow.
00:23:57.000 Yellow.
00:23:58.000 Right?
00:23:59.000 Black.
00:24:00.000 And how we treat people is based on who they are and not what color they are.
00:24:04.000 And if they're nice.
00:24:05.000 And if they're nice and smart.
00:24:06.000 See?
00:24:07.000 This is how children think right here.
00:24:09.000 Critical race theory wants to end that.
00:24:11.000 Not with my children.
00:24:13.000 It's not going to happen.
00:24:14.000 My baby's going to know that no matter what she wants to be in life, all she has to do is work hard.
00:24:19.000 And she can become that.
00:24:21.000 Work hard even though you don't know anyone.
00:24:24.000 You can make friends.
00:24:27.000 Yeah, you can make friends.
00:24:29.000 No matter what color they are.
00:24:31.000 So we need to stop CRT.
00:24:33.000 Period.
00:24:34.000 Point.
00:24:35.000 Blank.
00:24:36.000 Children do not see skin color, man.
00:24:38.000 They love everybody.
00:24:39.000 If they're good people, they love them.
00:24:41.000 Boomers.
00:24:42.000 Millennials.
00:24:43.000 Zoomers.
00:24:44.000 Each generation confronted race as a function of schooling in distinct ways.
00:24:48.000 Many boomers went to segregated schools.
00:24:51.000 My mom did.
00:24:52.000 Race defined where you could learn, the teachers you would have, the courses you could take,
00:24:55.000 the duration of your bus ride, the clubs you could join, even the sports you could play.
00:24:59.000 Society started by defining people based on race.
00:25:03.000 Everything else was secondary.
00:25:05.000 And it was awful, tragic, unconstitutional, deadly, and yeah, racist.
00:25:10.000 Millennials offered better color blindness.
00:25:13.000 We were taught that race didn't define opportunity.
00:25:16.000 A just society must treat everyone equally.
00:25:19.000 Race cannot be allowed to limit anyone's access to a lunch counter, a school, a golf course,
00:25:25.000 or a Rhode Island senator's beach club, which is less diverse than a Mayflower reunion.
00:25:30.000 Back in 2017, you had expressed concerns about the membership of the all-white Bailey's Beach Club,
00:25:35.000 said that you hoped it would become more diverse.
00:25:37.000 Now, your family's been members.
00:25:39.000 Your wife is one of the largest shareholders.
00:25:41.000 Should these clubs continue to exist?
00:25:43.000 It's a long tradition in Rhode Island, and there are many of them.
00:25:47.000 Pro tip.
00:25:48.000 If your name is White House, you probably shouldn't be lecturing others on racial equality from your lily white social clubs.
00:25:54.000 Anyone could be anything, we were told.
00:25:57.000 Millennials even elected America's first black president.
00:26:01.000 The Zoomers in school now face a hyper-racialized world, an anti-American set of teachers.
00:26:07.000 The National Education Association has recently passed a resolution to push CRT in every American school.
00:26:14.000 They're going to fight against anti-CRT messages.
00:26:18.000 They're going to study white supremacy.
00:26:20.000 But remember, objective facts don't matter.
00:26:23.000 They already told us that.
00:26:24.000 So they will study white supremacy based solely on their perception of its existence and their reparations as remedies.
00:26:32.000 If you're white, don't deny you're racist.
00:26:35.000 That's what the racists do.
00:26:37.000 Today's critical race theorists tell us we must revert to the days when all decisions, acts, thoughts, and engagements with one another must be analyzed through the lens of race first and race alone.
00:26:49.000 And that is scary because this is precisely what justified Jim Crow and worse.
00:26:56.000 It's no surprise that schools have become the front line of this fight.
00:27:00.000 Parents are reacting en masse like this.
00:27:03.000 Resize! Resize power!
00:27:07.000 People like me and a line of other people out there who will gladly take your seat and figure it out.
00:27:19.000 This is an unlawful arrest. I have a First Amendment way.
00:27:24.000 CRT is racist. It is abusive. It discriminates against one's color.
00:27:28.000 Enough of the toxicity and the division and looking at your skin color and your skin color.
00:27:33.000 They've just been tricked into something that not many black people are into.
00:27:37.000 The Western culture and values that brought forth Christianity in the founding documents are being called evil and racist.
00:27:43.000 My child is not oppressed. And don't assume that.
00:27:47.000 As long as you, Marxist, push your unconstitutional agenda on my child, she will not be returning back to Mount County schools.
00:27:56.000 Critical race theory is teaching that white people are bad. That's not true.
00:28:01.000 That would teach my daughter that her mother is evil.
00:28:04.000 You already have an educator within your staff that has pulled my daughter aside and said,
00:28:12.000 Well, you're a minority, so you know better than to engage in certain things.
00:28:17.000 Wow.
00:28:18.000 The school is immersed in this leftist ideology.
00:28:21.000 I've noticed a pattern. You treat your bosses, most of us, like children.
00:28:25.000 You treat the woke mob, your employees and teachers unions, like the boss.
00:28:28.000 And you treat children who have not harmed you like pawns in your leftist social experiment.
00:28:32.000 When you give us a timeout for clapping, we hear you saying, Look at me, I am the captain now.
00:28:36.000 You're not the captain. We're your bosses. And God willing, we'll return most of you to the private sector very soon.
00:28:41.000 You're teaching children to hate others because of their skin color. And you're forcing them to lie about other kids' gender. I am disgusted by your bigotry.
00:28:56.000 Please get back to just teaching our children math, science, factual history, equity of opportunity, and teach them how to think and not what to think.
00:29:08.000 Parents aren't just yelling and screaming. They're also organizing and driving change in state legislatures.
00:29:14.000 These states have state-level anti-CRT bills or are considering other changes to the law.
00:29:20.000 Go to gates.house.gov and click the CRT Updates tab to review state-based legislation and connect to people pushing bills where you live.
00:29:29.000 You can also sign up for our email list, which will always have up-to-date alerts on the latest legislative activity.
00:29:35.000 While progress is being made against CRT at the state level, nothing good is coming out of the swamp of Washington, D.C.,
00:29:43.000 where the Woketopians have a strong foothold and are eager to ingrain their worldview.
00:29:49.000 Critical race theorists want a federal department of anti-racism.
00:29:53.000 Here's how it would work. Recently in an article published by Politico, Ibram Kendi declared that to fix the original sin of racism,
00:30:01.000 Americans should pass an anti-racist amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
00:30:05.000 Without getting bogged down into Kendi's ignorance of the reconstruction amendments, I want to focus on what is sought after in this new amendment.
00:30:13.000 Kendi says the amendment would establish and permanently fund the Department of Anti-Racism, comprised formally of trained experts on racism and no political appointees.
00:30:23.000 He continues, the Department of Anti-Racism would be responsible for pre-clearing all local, state, and federal public policies to ensure they won't yield racial inequity.
00:30:34.000 They would monitor those policies, investigate private racist policies, investigate policies where racial inequity surfaces, and monitor public officials for expressions of racist ideas.
00:30:47.000 In other words, this amendment seeks to make a few unelected experts the most powerful body in the United States of America.
00:30:56.000 Is the CRT movement already converting all agencies and departments into departments of anti-racism?
00:31:04.000 Take the Pentagon, home of the tough guys.
00:31:07.000 This was once like the last bastion of power in the beltway, not totally under the spell of the political left.
00:31:15.000 That is until recently.
00:31:17.000 Here's my exchange with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
00:31:20.000 How should the Department of Defense think about critical race theory?
00:31:25.000 Could I make a comment, Secretary?
00:31:27.000 I'm sorry.
00:31:28.000 I'm very limited on my time, General Milley.
00:31:30.000 Well, I just want to make a comment.
00:31:31.000 Well, I know, but I've asked the question to Secretary Austin.
00:31:34.000 I don't know what the issue of critical race theory is and what the relevance here with the department.
00:31:41.000 We do not teach critical race theory.
00:31:44.000 We don't embrace critical race theory.
00:31:47.000 And I think that's a spurious conversation.
00:31:51.000 But they are teaching critical race theory in our military.
00:31:56.000 This was moments later in the same hearing.
00:31:58.000 And it is important that we train and we understand.
00:32:03.000 And I want to understand white rage and I'm white and I want to understand it.
00:32:07.000 So what is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America?
00:32:16.000 What caused that?
00:32:17.000 I want to find that out.
00:32:18.000 I want to maintain an open mind here.
00:32:20.000 And I do want to analyze it.
00:32:21.000 It's important that we understand that because our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and guardians, they come from the American people.
00:32:27.000 So it is important that the leaders now and in the future do understand it.
00:32:32.000 I've read Mao Zedong.
00:32:33.000 I've read I've read Karl Marx.
00:32:35.000 I've read Lenin.
00:32:36.000 That doesn't make me a communist.
00:32:38.000 So what is wrong with understanding, having some situational understanding about the country for which we are here to defend?
00:32:46.000 Not surprisingly, the American mainstream media lavished praise on military leaders for embracing critical race theory.
00:32:52.000 That was fascinating, may I just say.
00:32:54.000 Watching these gentlemen, these well-read, intellectually curious.
00:32:59.000 Generals.
00:33:00.000 Generals.
00:33:01.000 Yes.
00:33:02.000 Like, you know, Secretary Austin, General Milley trying to swat away Congressman Matt Gaetz.
00:33:08.000 And while the chairman of the Joint Chiefs makes an eloquent defense of the truth and stands up for America's military,
00:33:14.000 in battle, Congressman Matt Gaetz lobs a despicable tweet attacking the general.
00:33:20.000 End of quote here.
00:33:21.000 With generals like this, it's no wonder we fought considerably more wars than we've won.
00:33:27.000 A congressman denigrating our armed forces.
00:33:30.000 General Milley did something very powerful, which is that he cut through the coded speech and language and rhetoric around critical race theory.
00:33:41.000 People like Matt Gaetz, you know, making fun of and mocking the military, saying this is the reason that we don't win any more wars with generals like this.
00:33:48.000 This is, of course, dangerous, anti-American and racist.
00:33:52.000 At West Point, lectures are presented by Dr. Carol Anderson on understanding whiteness and white rage.
00:33:59.000 Since I nominate future military officers to West Point as part of my job in Congress, I wanted to know what Dr. Anderson thought about whiteness.
00:34:08.000 She wrote that the Republican Party yearns for a white republic and that the Republican Party platform is white nationalism.
00:34:17.000 This is the nonsense that General Milley is defending.
00:34:20.000 Instead of Dr. Anderson, we should have instructors who can teach the next generation of commanding officers to win on the modern battlefield, less CRT, more cyber.
00:34:31.000 There's nothing wrong with Americans who are white.
00:34:34.000 There's nothing wrong with Americans who are black or any other color.
00:34:37.000 We must be our brother's keeper, loving our neighbors, regardless of their skin color or our own.
00:34:43.000 Only a Benedict Arnold would surrender the Pentagon to the Woketopia without a fight.
00:34:48.000 That's why I'm announcing now that I'm joining with patriotic colleagues on the House Armed Services Committee,
00:34:54.000 and we are introducing legislation within the National Defense Authorization Act to ban critical race theory in our military.
00:35:02.000 We will uphold the values expressed by Dr. King.
00:35:05.000 We shall live together, work together, worship together, and together weave a strong American tapestry.
00:35:11.000 CRT shouldn't be at our military academies.
00:35:15.000 It shouldn't be in our officer training.
00:35:17.000 It shouldn't be in any diversity training.
00:35:19.000 It shouldn't be in our country.
00:35:20.000 Go to gates.house.gov to sign your citizen co-sponsorship of this important legislation.
00:35:27.000 When it's filed in committee, I want every member voting to see your name, to know how you feel.
00:35:33.000 Regardless of your race, some might say colorblind to it, we welcome your input and ideas.
00:35:39.000 Because this is the freaking stupidity we are up against.
00:35:43.000 I'm not kumbaya.
00:35:44.000 So I don't like to think that white people are evil.
00:35:46.000 I think white people are ignorant.
00:35:47.000 Thanks for tuning in.
