The Anchormen Show with Matt Gaetz - Episode 45 - A Sizzling Take from Roger Stone. George Soros Pours Millions into BLM. NBA Full of Hypocrites.

00:00:00.000 you ever watch this guy on television you all were not telling the truth and you should not

00:00:06.100 be trusted congressman matt gates thank you for what you did for your country tonight

00:00:09.260 be offended with the democratic whip not house republicans like a machine matt gates

00:00:13.940 welcome to hot takes i'm congressman matt gates let's talk about the news a hot take

00:00:22.300 a sizzling take from roger stone on sean hannity last night here's roger when you go through

00:00:28.160 something like this sean you find out who your real friends are and who the people are who really

00:00:33.500 never were your friends you have been a tremendous friend and also congressman matt gates from florida

00:00:38.920 who i hope to live long enough to see in the white house uh he was a great friend who never gave up in

00:00:44.680 trying to make sure everybody understood the injustice uh that i had been through there is

00:00:49.800 only one presidential campaign i'm worried about and that is the election of donald trump in 2020

00:00:56.060 but i appreciate the kind words from roger i'm glad he did not serve in prison for process crimes

00:01:04.400 born of a bizarre and really improperly predicated muller probe as they got closer and closer to having

00:01:12.080 to issue the muller report and they realized that they had no russian collusion because there was

00:01:18.000 no russian collusion it was a hoax on july 24th uh genie re who was heading my prosecution within

00:01:25.960 the muller team uh she made it very clear to one of my lawyers after a hearing she asked to see him

00:01:31.880 privately that if i would re-remember certain phone conversations i had with candidate trump if i would

00:01:38.660 come clean if i would confess that they uh that they might be willing to you know recommend leniency

00:01:46.000 to the judge perhaps i wouldn't even serve any jail time and i didn't have to think about it very

00:01:51.160 long i said absolutely not there was no circumstance under which i would bear false witness against the

00:01:57.840 president i was i was just not willing to lie it's good to see roger out from under gag order it's good

00:02:03.540 to see roger out from under the threat of a prison sentence and i hope we'll be hearing a lot more

00:02:09.220 from roger stone in the coming days and weeks

00:02:12.020 trump won't like this is the 2020 gop convention in florida doomed that is the headline from the

00:02:22.840 national interests rachel buccino and the premise of the story is that there are five republican

00:02:28.760 senators who will not be attending the convention a chuck grassley mit romney susan collins lisa

00:02:35.680 murkowski uh lamar alexander and uh they i guess senator ron johnson also said he may not attend

00:02:43.420 here's my hot take who cares i mean does anyone really think that like the make or break moment

00:02:52.300 at the republican national convention for someone is going to be like whether or not they get to post

00:02:56.680 their picture with lamar alexander to the gram like do you really think that the the ability to win

00:03:02.620 or lose this election is dependent on lisa murkowski attending the republican convention 0.89

00:03:08.320 i think somehow we'll be able to have a good time without her and and it's not to say that there aren't

00:03:13.700 good folks on this list i mean my gosh chuck grassley ron johnson they've been absolute lions for the trump

00:03:20.700 agenda in the senate but i don't know that they're like the two people that everyone's going to see you

00:03:26.520 know who people want to see at the republican convention the fighters they want to see jim jordan

00:03:31.360 ambassador you weren't on the call were you the president you didn't listen on president trump's

00:03:34.540 call and president lindsey's call i did not you've never talked with chief of staff mulvaney i never

00:03:38.520 did you never met the president that's correct he had three meetings again with zilinski and it didn't

00:03:42.260 come up and two of those they had never heard about as far as i know and president there was no

00:03:46.620 reason for president lindsey never made an announcement and you're their star witness they want to see

00:03:50.580 ted cruz you know the consequence of of of their attacking demonizing defunding the police the

00:03:56.960 consequence will be a lot more black lives will be lost a lot more white lives and hispanic lives 0.99

00:04:02.660 you pull the police back and those especially that those who live in low-income neighborhoods 0.93

00:04:08.080 are going to find themselves the victims of much more violent crime and and this is wrong i'll tell

00:04:15.040 you i stand with the nypd i stand with the men and women of law enforcement across this country they

00:04:21.080 want to see you know the uh i think lee zeldin type folks this impeachment started when the president

00:04:27.860 was first elected i remember being there when the president was getting sworn in pennsylvania avenue

00:04:32.480 was lined up while the president's hand was on the bible with signs that said impeach him now they won

00:04:37.580 the house by pledging to resist oppose impeach and obstruct everything and anything it's about an

00:04:42.840 enraged liberal activist base that they want to appease they don't want to see you know the the i mean

00:04:49.180 folks like collins and murkowski were barely with the president like you know lamar alexander i think

00:04:54.660 the last time lamar alexander was like a relevant figure at a republican convention he was running

00:04:59.720 against bob dole of all things for for president in that flannel shirt that he used to wear so i hope

00:05:07.100 our octogenarian and septogenarian senators stay safe we don't want any any ill to fall their way but i

00:05:14.400 think that we'll be able to have a convention re-nominate the president and prepare our party

00:05:19.780 for victory while they are resting and preparing for their time in washington

00:05:25.280 black lives matter is no longer a black owned enterprise it seems breitbart's joshua kaplan

00:05:37.260 with an explosive piece on the extent to which george soros has engaged in a leveraged buyout of the

00:05:45.420 black lives matter movement the piece entitled george soros pouring 220 million dollars into racial

00:05:53.020 justice movement and it outlines a series of groups that are going to get these five-year grants from

00:05:59.920 open society which is george soros's political financial distribution system and he will

00:06:07.180 essentially be the the the loud voice he will be uh the operator the financier uh the principal

00:06:16.520 drive behind what i think these groups are doing that he's giving you know many hundreds of millions

00:06:22.860 of dollars to so i guess we now know that uh the black lives matter movement was so appealing that it

00:06:29.660 was an acquirable asset for george soros what that means for our politics or the direction of that

00:06:35.740 movement movement or its engagement in electioneering and other types of political activity i guess we

00:06:42.560 would just have to follow the soros pattern which is certainly not an enviable one

00:06:46.640 if politics makes strange bedfellows then the desire to end these forever wars that have drained a

00:06:57.480 generation make some of our alliances downright peculiar i have jointly penned an op-ed with fellow congressman

00:07:06.140 roe connor roe is a liberal democrat from silicon valley he was the national co-chair of the bernie

00:07:14.400 sanders campaign and most folks know me as a pretty conservative populist libertarian leaning republican

00:07:21.520 and roe and i work together frequently on issues of war and peace because we do not believe america

00:07:28.060 is at her best when she is overextended and over deployed to places in the world where victory is not

00:07:35.760 able to be clearly defined and our concern is about a provision actually two that are in the national

00:07:41.880 defense authorization act and i'll quote you from the piece we submitted to the daily caller and we'll put

00:07:47.140 this out on social media as well after awakening from a deep slumber on war and peace congress is

00:07:54.280 erecting new roadblocks to prevent our troops from returning home and the piece continues the house

00:08:00.680 armed services committee included in its annual defense bill two measures restricting the president

00:08:05.840 from withdrawing troops abroad these amendments would handcuff the administration from bringing our

00:08:11.100 troops home from afghanistan and germany without first certifying a dizzying maze of stipulations

00:08:18.440 the peace cites a number of circumstances where both republicans and democrats from president bush to

00:08:25.940 president obama were trying to bring troops home from some of these places and it continues

00:08:31.300 fortunately a re-energized coalition of progressives and conservatives is galvanized to bring our troops home

00:08:39.240 one of us is one of the president's leading critics and the other one of his closest allies we are united in

00:08:46.320 our conviction that congress should lead efforts to disentangle our troops from bloody and costly

00:08:53.120 endless wars and i know that's a position that president trump holds because it is a position he is

00:08:59.440 continuously and and very reliably articulated over the last 30 years and so we have a president who wants

00:09:08.060 to end these wars we have a coalition in the congress that incurred that includes some of the most vocal

00:09:14.260 left-wing populists and some of the most vocal right-wing populists so we should be able to get this done

00:09:21.140 we should be able to end the war in afghanistan our country deserves it our troops have have more than

00:09:29.480 sacrificed for this conflict and as a great nation we ought to bring it to a close and ensure that we

00:09:37.460 deprive terrorists of their ability to platform attacks from the skies above you know rubble makes

00:09:44.940 no trouble uh death from the skies the president has shown how that is a capable deterrent both with

00:09:51.620 soleimani and with syria it is time to deploy the trump doctrine in afghanistan

00:09:57.300 southern living magazine is not a periodical we often cite on the podcast but nonetheless a very interesting article that we get from

00:10:09.120 andrea romano that is entitled a short walk on the beach can improve your mental health study suggests and in this

00:10:18.060 piece they walk through a study that really tracks the the improved endorphins improved mental outlook

00:10:27.020 improved attitude that you get with something called blue spaces i guess we're familiar with green spaces

00:10:33.800 open fields parks meadows but blue spaces are areas of water whether it's a lake a stream

00:10:40.760 an ocean and i'll confess this i love going out on the beach i love living in a coastal community

00:10:47.420 and there is a reason why all throughout human history people have gravitated toward clean water

00:10:54.420 because there's something good about it for us not only just the survival element but i think the mental health

00:11:00.760 element as well and with the way the workforce is changing in the wake of coronavirus

00:11:05.980 and diffusion of human talent around the country and just greater telecommuting trends that we saw

00:11:13.340 even before coronavirus i think this is a really important point because now major companies even small

00:11:20.840 companies are going to be working to recruit talent digitally and at a distance and so people are

00:11:27.880 going to be able to basically live wherever they want to live and then pipe in on a web video

00:11:33.580 utilize a shared document service and get their work done and so where are people going to live well

00:11:38.640 i don't think that it's going to be bunching up in the cities you know i don't i wouldn't be i wouldn't

00:11:43.240 be too bullish about like new york penthouse real estate right now i think people are going to want some

00:11:49.040 spaces i think they're going to want to be near water and so if you live in a community like mine

00:11:54.700 that has the natural beauty matter of fact a great beach state park in my district was named this last

00:12:01.500 year to be the number one beach in the continental united states and uh and i and i think maybe even

00:12:08.740 beyond but but what you're able to do by leveraging those natural assets and beauties is attract high

00:12:16.780 income people to your area and so instead of like going out and building the next warehouse building the

00:12:24.220 next industrial plant building the next tech center for people how about as local communities we just

00:12:31.480 embrace the notion of keeping america beautiful keeping her from falling filthy ensuring that we have

00:12:38.860 clean water clean air green spaces blue spaces to enjoy and it's my expectation that communities that

00:12:46.000 really strive for i think the best version of themselves will attract the best workers and the

00:12:53.020 best citizens regardless of where their corporate headquarters may be i really think that we're going

00:12:59.900 to see more and more diffused human capital and i think the communities that get on the front edge of that

00:13:05.980 and understand that people are going to want things like walks on the beach and other like mental health

00:13:11.840 enhancements they'll be the communities that'll be on the leading edge of economic development and talent

00:13:17.660 recruitment in the years to come 0.95

00:13:19.440 the nba is full of a bunch of hypocrites they want to act like they're embracing this great 0.97

00:13:27.860 social justice movement that they're on the side of the downtrodden but they don't seem to have that 0.99

00:13:34.620 view when it negatively affects their pocketbook and their relationship with the chinese communist party

00:13:41.080 fox news has a great piece out by joseph wolfson entitled nba raises eyebrows for not allowing customers

00:13:48.900 to print free hong kong on custom gear so for the number we'll just do number one

00:13:54.440 that's it and for the name there's going to be no spaces of any kind

00:13:59.680 it's f-r-e-e-h-o-n-g-k-o-n-g 1.00

00:14:04.800 no spaces one word

00:14:07.320 sir i'll repeat the name one more time is it free hong kong that's what you want

00:14:12.120 uh with no spaces correct

00:14:14.940 yes sir unfortunately sir the customization is not going through it all it says we are unable

00:14:22.740 to customize this item with the text you are rented please try a different entry

00:14:27.460 so it won't so just it won't let you put free hong kong on it

00:14:33.460 yes sir it's not letting me to uh proceed further i have like tried twice but it's not letting me do

00:14:41.000 anything so the way this works is through the nba's digital platform you can go on select a jersey

00:14:47.200 select a number and then you know put your own name or put your nickname and so people were wanting

00:14:52.660 to put free hong kong on the jerseys and i suspect that's half political message and probably

00:14:58.440 uh at least half troll of the nba's relationship with the chinese communist party their willingness

00:15:04.700 to uh utilize talent there to their benefit and china's benefit co-marketing and and it's really

00:15:11.820 about accessing the the buying power that china has among their populace but that should not come at the

00:15:20.340 cost of people's rights especially when the nba is doing everything they can to virtue signal

00:15:26.900 that that they're the new woke league on a variety of fronts so whether it's the players who want to

00:15:34.280 be critical of the president and want to be critical of law enforcement want to be critical of republicans

00:15:41.300 whether it's media figures like adrian wojenowski writing profane emails back to josh hawley or whether

00:15:48.440 it's the league itself doing these deals and you know being a partner in in china's ongoing

00:15:56.900 domination of its people because that's what you do when you enrich the chinese communist party you 0.71

00:16:01.340 can you can put it any other way you you can act as if there's some separation between the business

00:16:06.400 interests and the political interests of an oppressive regime but there are not and particularly in this

00:16:12.020 case that is who china is they are not like us they have been authoritarian for quite some time and

00:16:20.480 it's my expectation that they're going to continue that trend especially if they get an alley-oop

00:16:25.920 from the nba thanks so much for listening to hot takes i'm congressman matt gates it's an honor to

00:16:33.820 be on the podcast platform with you one platform you will not find me on is the tiktok platform

00:16:40.020 president trump should ban tiktok in the united states tiktok is a chinese mechanism to collect

00:16:48.060 intelligence on americans and use it but until tiktok's banned until we take that action i know we'll be on

00:16:55.140 almost every social platform so that we can keep sharing the truth of the american people so make

00:17:00.820 sure you subscribe give us that five star rating help others hear what we're sharing it's been a great

00:17:06.020 show we'll be back tomorrow with more hot takes

00:17:09.140 you
