Kevin McCarthy gets booed at a rally in Wyoming and is booed back in Washington, D.C. What does it mean when the leader of our movement is unable to stand before some of our most enthusiastic and inspired activists without getting a strong reception? Will Kevin McCarthy continue to get standing ovations from Republicans in Congress when he receives a much different reception?
00:00:00.000Matt Gaetz was one of the very few members in the entire Congress who bothered to stand up against permanent Washington on behalf of his constituents.
00:00:11.000Matt Gaetz right now, he's a problem in the Democratic Party. He can cause a lot of hiccups in passing applause.
00:00:17.000So we're going to keep running those stories to keep hurting him.
00:00:20.000If you stand for the flag and kneel in prayer, if you want to build America up and not burn her to the ground, then welcome, my fellow patriots. You are in the right place. This is the movement for you.
00:00:33.000You ever watch this guy on television? Like a machine. Matt Gaetz.
00:00:38.000I'm a canceled man in some corners of the Internet. Many days I'm a marked man in Congress, a wanted man by the deep state.
00:00:46.000They aren't really coming for me. They're coming for you. I'm just in the way.
00:00:56.000You know what? Maybe McCarthy, though. He spoke at the rally last night in Casper.
00:01:05.000Hello, Wyoming. I'm Kevin McCarthy. And I'm the Republican leader of the United States House of Representatives.
00:01:11.000I'm from Bakersfield, California. And many of the challenges we're addressing in our Central Valley are similar to the most important issues facing you in Wyoming.
00:01:20.000Because people in that audience heard the audio tapes that we have from our book, which does capture the Kevin McCarthy, who is actually the real Kevin McCarthy.
00:01:29.000I just got something sent out about a newsman from Matt Gaetz where he's calling people's names out saying anti-Trump and this type of atmosphere in some of the other places.
00:01:42.000This is serious stuff people are doing that has to stop.
00:01:46.000I'm calling Gates. I'm explaining to him. I don't know how to ever say, but I'm going to have some other people call him, too.
00:01:51.000But the nature of what if I'm getting briefing, I'm going to get another one from the FBI tomorrow.
00:01:59.000Yeah, that's that's that's that's I mean, it's potentially illegal. What are you doing?
00:02:07.000Well, he's putting people in jeopardy and he doesn't need to be doing this.
00:02:12.000And that was the leader of the Republicans in the House of Representatives getting booed in Wyoming.
00:02:19.000I'll note that when my video played in Wyoming, I think it was a markedly different reaction.
00:02:24.000But what does it mean when the leader of our movement is, in fact, unable to stand before some of our most enthusiastic and inspired activists without getting a strong reception?
00:02:39.000What does it mean when some of the only audiences that would give Kevin McCarthy a standing ovation would be audiences in Washington, D.C., with lobbyists, with political action committees?
00:02:53.000We are going to cover specifically what that means for the House Republican conference moving forward.
00:02:58.000Is it tenable to have a speaker of the House for the Republicans or even a leader of the Republican caucus?
00:03:06.000So unwelcome in some of the audiences that are curated by the true leader of our party, Donald Trump.
00:03:15.000Will Kevin McCarthy continue to get standing ovations from Republicans in Congress when he receives a very different reception throughout the country?
00:03:24.000The American people are a lot smarter than politicians give them credit for.
00:03:29.000Those who are paying attention, showing up at Trump rallies, seeing who's in the fight.
00:03:34.000Those are the folks who are going to carry us to ultimate success for our legislative agenda, because you have to have the inspiration of the American people ignited and enthusiastic.
00:03:47.000You have to have engagement. You have to have passion behind our agenda for it to be successful.
00:03:52.000Make sure you are subscribed to our podcast, however you're listening.
00:03:56.000And thank you for everyone in the comments section.
00:03:59.000I love that we got folks from, gosh, North Carolina, Indiana, Georgia, Kuala Lumpur.
00:04:26.000Michael Sussman, a former partner at the Perkins Cooey Law Firm, which is, of course, the favorite law firm of the Democratic Party.
00:04:33.000Their clients include the DNC, the DCCC, the Democrat Senatorial Committee, a number of other left leaning aligned groups.
00:04:42.000And Michael Sussman, who was a partner there, was just found not guilty of concealing his employment with the Clinton campaign when he lied to the FBI.
00:04:54.000And that verdict was rendered by a jury of his peers or maybe I should say fellow travelers.
00:05:01.000I mean, folks, I'd like to say the House always wins, but this trial wasn't even a gamble.
00:05:09.000The jury that acquitted Sussman included multiple Hillary Clinton donors, an AOC donor, a juror whose husband worked for the Clinton campaign,
00:05:20.000a juror who believed that the legal system is racist and police departments should be defunded,
00:05:26.000and a person whose daughter was on the same rowing team with Michael Sussman.
00:05:35.000Again, jury of his peers would be the least of it, I would suggest.
00:05:40.000Now, in the prosecution's defense, they did object to some of these jurors.
00:05:43.000One Clinton donor suggested that he could strive for impartiality the best he can.
00:05:49.000The prosecution objected to this juror, but the judge, Christopher Cooper, who's an Obama appointee, overruled them.
00:05:57.000It's also noteworthy that Judge Cooper is married to the lawyer for Lisa Page.
00:06:02.000Remember the FBI lovebirds, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who were so biased, so against Trump?
00:15:54.000Worse yet, Biden and the Democrats want to continue to use woke-ifying our military as they deliberately walk them into another foreign war of drastic proportions with serious consequences.
00:16:07.000You know, you saw Obama try to destroy our military by defunding it, by subjecting it to sequestration.
00:16:15.000And you almost think what Biden's doing to it is far worse because it's fundamentally trying to transform the military into this monolithic tool of the left.
00:16:23.000Another great piece in National File website you should definitely go to, should definitely check out frequently.
00:16:30.000They've got a lot of great breaking news and investigative reporting.
00:16:33.000And in the National File, we learn of news surrounding the effects of Biden's mismanagement of our military.
00:16:41.000Now, at Rammstein Air Force Base in Germany, they have just decided to cancel Drag Queen Storytime, which was scheduled to occur today.
00:16:50.000I am not kidding about this. Drag Queen Storytime at a foreign military base.
00:16:55.000I think Rammstein, by personnel, is the largest Air Force Base in the world.
00:16:58.000The largest Air Force Base in the world by geography, of course, Northwest Floridians know, is Eglin Air Force Base.
00:17:03.000But in terms of personnel, Rammstein is massive.
00:17:07.000So if you were looking forward to the Rammstein Drag Queen Storytime, you will be disappointed.
00:17:15.000So that's right. We're going to do this in a military based library.
00:17:19.000They're planning on hosting this event for young children of service members on your dime, on the taxpayers dime,
00:17:26.000to articulate issues that I would suggest belong in the American household between parents and their children.
00:17:32.000Look, I don't hate anybody. I don't hate the gay, the trans, whatever, whatever.
00:17:37.000I can't keep up with how many letters there are now.
00:17:40.000But I am a person who does not use someone's identity as a basis to hate them.
00:17:47.000I don't think that you should hate people based on immutable traits.
00:17:51.000But shouldn't we agree that these issues are better discussed among family with church groups rather than having like the drag queen experience curated by the United States military?
00:18:04.000Last I checked, there was a war going on in Europe.
00:18:07.000And at Rammstein Air Force Base, we're doing drag queen shows for kids.
00:18:10.000So before the plug was pulled on this ludicrous idea, there was a Facebook advertisement for it that read, quote,
00:18:17.000We're celebrating Pride Month at the Rammstein Library with drag queen story time.
00:18:23.000Join us with special guest reader Stacey Teed.
00:18:26.000Be sure to wear your brightest and most colorful outfits.
00:18:30.000So in less than a generation, the military went from not allowing long hair to having drag queen stories for children funded by taxpayers.
00:18:46.000I mean, you don't have to go back to the great ones.
00:18:49.000But I mean, you look at George Washington, Dwight Eisenhower, General Patton, General MacArthur.
00:18:54.000They didn't train men at bases that would tolerate this.
00:18:57.000They were too busy preparing their troops to save America, not destroy it.
00:19:02.000They were winning wars against strong empires, not losing wars to goat herders.
00:19:09.000I respect and am thankful to all of the men and women serving at Rammstein Air Force Base and all military bases anywhere in the world, for that matter.
00:21:41.000What I think has changed is, in the old days, like 10 years ago, if you wanted to do really well in Congress, if you wanted to succeed, you climbed a meritocracy.
00:21:50.000The measurement of success was policy and persuasion.
00:21:53.000Could you persuade your colleagues, your country, your constituents?
00:21:57.000That's not necessarily what motivates people anymore.
00:22:00.000There's a lot of entertainers in Congress on both parties.
00:22:02.000So we have an entertainment wing of the House of the Republican and Democratic Party.
00:22:06.000And so the old meritocracy that takes 10, 20 years to climb of being a good policymaker, you can just leapfrog that whole process, be a really good entertainer, have an incredible presence digital, and forget about policymaking and curate a brand for yourself.
00:22:21.000And so you have entertainers in Congress now.
00:22:25.000So Paul Ryan tries to juxtapose legislation and entertainment.
00:22:30.000And I think the viewers right now who are tuning in realize, like, this is not entertainment.
00:22:35.000I'm giving you information you need to know that oftentimes is filtered through big tech, through big media, even big government entities that try to control your access to information.
00:22:46.000But in this world where, like, you're either an entertainer or a legislator, Paul Ryan was kind of neither.
00:22:53.000Paul Ryan did not have the ability to ignite and inspire people as a national candidate.
00:23:01.000I would suggest in large part because they were kind of like milquetoast Republicans trying to explain to people that the zombie of Ronald Reagan was somehow going to emerge and save them through a series of, like, very old, you know, kind of like Republican ink talking points.
00:23:15.000Largely drafted up by lobbyists and special interests.
00:23:22.000And when you look at the legislative side, the principal promise that we made our voters over and over again when Paul Ryan was in the House before he became Speaker was that we would repeal Obamacare.
00:23:35.000And in the weeks leading up to Paul Ryan releasing his Obamacare repeal bill when we got in the majority, he took, like, so many million, I think it was more than, like, $14 million from the PACs and the HMOs and the lobbyists who wanted to not repeal Obamacare but who wanted to reposition it for their benefit.
00:23:58.000In the past, Paul Ryan has called me an entertainer, not a legislator.
00:24:02.000Well, Paul Ryan was little more than a vessel for the special interests to operate through.
00:24:08.000And there was nothing sincere about that, nothing entertaining, and certainly not nearly enough that was productive for the American people.
00:24:14.000If Paul Ryan wanted to legislate, if he was this great legislator, why the hell didn't we secure the border when we had the House, the Senate, and the President?
00:24:35.000And he was only willing to go to battle for the people that were funding campaigns, not the people who were actually out there winning them, not the activists, not the very people who were just booing Kevin McCarthy and Casper, Wyoming.
00:24:49.000Thanks so much for joining us on Firebrand this week.
