The Anchormen Show with Matt Gaetz - Episode 97 LIVE： Leftist Violence Again – Firebrand with Matt Gaetz

00:00:00.000 In battle, Congressman Matt Gaetz.

00:00:03.740 Matt Gaetz was one of the very few members in the entire Congress

00:00:06.580 who bothered to stand up against permanent Washington

00:00:09.200 on behalf of his constituents.

00:00:10.980 Matt Gaetz right now, he's a problem in the Democratic Party.

00:00:13.800 He can cause a lot of hiccups in passing applause.

00:00:16.820 So we're going to keep running those stories to keep hurting him.

00:00:20.200 If you stand for the flag and kneel in prayer,

00:00:23.400 if you want to build America up and not burn her to the ground,

00:00:26.860 then welcome, my fellow patriots.

00:00:29.240 You are in the right place.

00:00:31.140 This is the movement for you.

00:00:33.220 You ever watch this guy on television?

00:00:35.400 Like a machine, Matt Gaetz.

00:00:37.860 I'm a canceled man in some corners of the Internet.

00:00:41.140 Many days I'm a marked man in Congress, a wanted man by the deep state.

00:00:45.940 They aren't really coming for me.

00:00:47.900 They're coming for you.

00:00:49.760 I'm just in the way.

00:00:55.220 Welcome back to Firebrand.

00:00:56.640 Again, this is Congressman Matt Gaetz broadcasting live from room 2021

00:01:00.960 of the Rayburn House Office Building here in the Capitol Complex in Washington, D.C.

00:01:05.720 I've got major updates regarding where you can get information regarding the actions

00:01:10.620 that Congress is taking and reviewing to secure our elections,

00:01:14.580 the investigations into places, particularly in swing states,

00:01:18.200 where clean elections were not being run.

00:01:21.140 Also, I'm going to have the latest tea on House leadership disputes.

00:01:25.620 We've got some reporting out of the New York Times and out of Axios,

00:01:28.940 but you know not to just believe the New York Times,

00:01:31.580 so I will let you know about the conversations we've been having regarding upcoming discussions

00:01:36.360 on the border and particularly on the budget and on the debt limit.

00:01:41.120 Also, the FBI is undercover.

00:01:44.140 Maybe it's your local Catholic parish.

00:01:46.280 The Weaponization Subcommittee just releasing the latest information

00:01:50.700 that Chairman Jim Jordan has made available regarding information we've learned

00:01:55.260 regarding undercover efforts by the FBI to infiltrate the Catholics

00:02:01.660 as if Catholics are the big problem that we have as a country.

00:02:06.020 Obviously, that's not the case.

00:02:07.420 But we began the update today with an unequivocal statement against violence,

00:02:13.800 against political violence, particularly against these senseless actions

00:02:18.580 that we see over and over again in our country where loss of life is entirely preventable.

00:02:25.560 This morning, we were made aware yet again of another shooting,

00:02:30.340 this time at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky.

00:02:32.780 And sadly, from what we know, it looks like four people lost their lives in Kentucky

00:02:37.620 and another eight were injured.

00:02:39.700 The shooter is dead as well.

00:02:42.200 We, of course, want to take time to mourn the loss of innocent life,

00:02:45.960 but we should not wait in acting to prevent these frequent aggressive acts

00:02:51.320 from happening in the future.

00:02:53.620 Democrats want to blame guns, of course, but we know it's not that simple.

00:02:58.800 It's misguided, even.

00:02:59.900 Your grandparents used to be able to order mail-order automatic weapons,

00:03:04.360 and when the Second Amendment was written,

00:03:06.400 the American people, such as they were, could own cannons. 1.00

00:03:09.960 No mass shootings back then.

00:03:12.420 Why?

00:03:13.280 Well, let's take a look at the profile of some of these most recent nutjobs

00:03:17.240 who've been terrorizing us. 1.00

00:03:19.220 The Louisville shooter is apparently a deranged, mentally ill leftist. 0.98

00:03:24.180 Aside from using his pronouns in his bio, which are he-him, by the way, 0.98

00:03:28.920 he-him likes to post memes on Reddit accusing Trump of racism

00:03:33.640 and celebrating COVID lockdowns because he-him considers he himself an introvert.

00:03:41.800 Not unlike the Nashville shooter, who was especially deranged and clinically insane,

00:03:49.440 this shooter in Kentucky allegedly made comments to a friend

00:03:53.140 about being suicidal and wanting to kill other innocents.

00:03:56.920 My first question would be, are these people on SSRIs?

00:04:03.260 Are they taking anti-anxiety medication or antidepressants?

00:04:07.560 We are the most drugged-up generation in all of human history,

00:04:13.220 and these drugs are being handed out like candy,

00:04:15.920 not behind some Walmart or on some street corner,

00:04:19.380 but by Big Pharma.

00:04:22.620 And Big Pharma knows that there are side effects to a lot of these drugs that they push

00:04:27.200 that can cause psychosis and even make feelings of suicide and violence

00:04:32.220 and depression all the more acute.

00:04:35.180 They have these mind-altering medications,

00:04:38.220 and many mass shooters, don't know about this particular case in Kentucky,

00:04:41.220 but many mass shooters have been on these drugs

00:04:43.860 and have actually been on them for quite some time.

00:04:46.720 It used to be the case where if you saw some second or third grader acting up,

00:04:50.520 you could have some thoughtful parenting,

00:04:53.540 you could have some behavior modification

00:04:55.440 that wasn't necessarily so chemical in nature.

00:05:00.980 And now it seems to be converting to some sort of chemical solution

00:05:04.500 is what we're willing to turn to all too soon in life for young people,

00:05:08.720 and it leads to this lifetime of dependence and side effects

00:05:12.720 and cascading consequences, sometimes lethal.

00:05:16.960 So is there a connection between some of this violence we've seen

00:05:20.200 and gender dysphoria?

00:05:22.240 The Nashville shooter wasn't the first gender-confused individual to go homicidal. 0.98

00:05:28.740 Maybe shooting people full of hormones 0.85

00:05:30.700 doesn't make them less likely to shoot us. 1.00

00:05:33.600 It's just what a mentally unstable person needs.

00:05:38.100 Massive mood swings caused by hormone therapy.

00:05:41.920 It's quite literally a recipe for mass violence, and frequently.

00:05:47.240 Big Pharma has been caught pushing these antidepressants

00:05:50.500 and puberty blockers and hormone shots

00:05:52.960 because there's money to be made in that business.

00:05:56.620 It's profitable.

00:05:58.400 An actual witch couldn't cook up a more potent cocktail 1.00

00:06:02.400 of mind-altering potions if she, them, tried.

00:06:06.900 Big Pharma is out of control,

00:06:08.540 and this country has a major mental health care problem.

00:06:11.300 It seems the more we take drugs for our mental health care,

00:06:14.680 the more mentally unhealthy we become.

00:06:17.360 How about that?

00:06:18.040 Maybe they have to sell the virus before they sell the antidote.

00:06:22.600 Maybe the whole regime of Big Pharma is built on this fiction

00:06:26.620 that they have to convince us that we are so broken and fragile and frail

00:06:31.780 that we have to take these drugs forever to be functioning in society.

00:06:36.220 Innocent people are forced to share a country with dangerous people.

00:06:42.680 Our streets have been taken over by the criminally insane.

00:06:46.660 Homeless encampments are everywhere.

00:06:48.220 Blue cities are enabling them with their policies.

00:06:50.840 And the Democrats are telling the trans community,

00:06:55.720 one of the most unfortunately severely unstable groups in the world,

00:07:01.500 that Republicans are coming after them 0.98

00:07:03.820 and they need to defend themselves by killing people who don't agree with them. 0.98

00:07:08.480 They tell people like this that the Louisville shooter, 0.99

00:07:11.920 you know, they tell folks like the Louisville shooter 0.99

00:07:14.060 that Republicans are evil and racist and fascist 0.98

00:07:17.640 and that we must be stopped at all costs. 0.99

00:07:20.920 And then they wonder why random acts of violence

00:07:23.360 are coming from the political left.

00:07:26.140 I recently experienced this again. 0.90

00:07:29.600 Someone who was brazenly boasting about their gayness 0.98

00:07:33.780 called my office threatening that if I come for the gays, 1.00

00:07:38.160 he'll shoot me in the head. 1.00

00:07:40.400 Listen to the voicemail here for the first time. 0.99

00:07:45.180 Hi, my name is Alan Pollard.

00:07:47.640 A-L-L-A-N-P-O-L-L-E-R. 1.00

00:07:51.040 Phone number 802-376-8931.

00:07:54.660 And I just want to let you know,

00:07:55.980 Representative Matt Gaetz, 0.97

00:07:57.600 if you keep on coming for the gays, 0.99

00:07:59.980 we're going to strike back. 1.00

00:08:01.440 And I guarantee you, 0.99

00:08:02.780 you do not want to f*** us. 1.00

00:08:04.920 We will kill you 1.00

00:08:06.880 if that's what it takes. 1.00

00:08:09.060 I will take a bullet 1.00

00:08:10.440 to your f***ing head 1.00

00:08:12.200 if you f*** my rights anymore. 1.00

00:08:14.600 And then if you want to keep going down that path, 0.98

00:08:19.500 you know who's next.

00:08:20.840 There's a lot about that call

00:08:26.000 that's disturbing and bizarre and weird.

00:08:29.200 And I guess I don't know at the outset

00:08:32.300 what they exactly think I did to come for the gays.

00:08:35.400 What was that?

00:08:36.040 My efforts to try to get drag queen story hours

00:08:38.540 not paid for by the U.S. taxpayer on military bases?

00:08:41.960 I don't really know.

00:08:43.540 I think we should be friendly to all.

00:08:46.380 I think we should be accommodating in our hearts.

00:08:48.640 But that doesn't mean

00:08:49.540 that we have to reorient

00:08:51.100 the fundamentals of American life

00:08:53.840 or the science of gender

00:08:55.580 to be accommodating to people

00:08:57.600 like that individual.

00:08:59.980 And I'm grateful

00:09:00.760 for the folks at the FBI field office

00:09:03.420 who ensured that this individual was arrested.

00:09:07.080 And since it's an ongoing legal matter,

00:09:09.200 I won't have further comment

00:09:10.180 other than to say,

00:09:11.120 I'm so grateful for the people

00:09:12.520 who work in my office

00:09:13.880 and they do not deserve to be terrorized

00:09:16.500 by the likes of those types of individuals.

00:09:19.860 So the Democrats are purposefully

00:09:21.760 riling up their nutty shock troops

00:09:25.160 in hopes that they will terrorize

00:09:26.840 normal Americans into submission. 0.79

00:09:30.000 Rand Paul was assaulted

00:09:31.200 by his riled up neighbor.

00:09:33.380 A congressional baseball practice

00:09:34.660 was shot up by a riled up Bernie bro.

00:09:37.400 You just heard the voicemail left from me

00:09:38.920 and more will come.

00:09:41.120 It's the Democratic Party 0.60

00:09:42.800 and Big Pharma 0.60

00:09:43.660 that are unleashing the crazies on you.

00:09:46.200 And nobody seems to have a solution for it.

00:09:48.720 So here's one.

00:09:49.960 We need to reopen the asylums. 1.00

00:09:52.120 There are severely mentally ill people

00:09:54.480 who do not have a right 1.00

00:09:56.140 to wander our streets

00:09:57.520 seeking and selecting

00:09:59.740 who they are going to terrorize.

00:10:01.880 Whether there is criminal culpability or not,

00:10:05.100 there is a permanent element of society

00:10:07.980 that is dangerous.

00:10:10.760 And it does not make us more just

00:10:13.120 or more compassionate

00:10:14.220 to have them walking amongst the rest of us.

00:10:17.140 Because then you see the type of loss of life

00:10:19.340 that we've seen too frequently

00:10:20.400 from these acts of violence.

00:10:22.780 Now subject to due process,

00:10:24.260 of course,

00:10:25.000 in our Constitution,

00:10:25.820 we have to put some people away.

00:10:27.980 And that might not be

00:10:29.060 politically correct to say,

00:10:31.200 but it is the truth

00:10:32.020 that we encounter,

00:10:33.360 especially in a world

00:10:34.340 in which we're getting

00:10:34.940 so many people

00:10:35.760 chemically addicted.

00:10:37.880 Good people have a right

00:10:38.860 to exist in the country

00:10:39.800 without wondering 0.99

00:10:40.600 if some crazy leftist 1.00

00:10:42.500 or mentally ill individual 1.00

00:10:44.220 lurking around the corner 0.97

00:10:45.520 is about to post up 1.00

00:10:47.660 and kill you. 1.00

00:10:49.960 Maybe even at your local bank, 1.00

00:10:52.120 like we saw in Kentucky,

00:10:54.560 quite sadly.

00:10:57.040 There's other news today

00:10:58.360 coming out of

00:10:59.440 the weaponization subcommittee

00:11:01.360 on which I serve.

00:11:02.800 This afternoon,

00:11:03.480 the Select Committee

00:11:03.900 on the Weaponization

00:11:04.600 of the Federal Government

00:11:05.420 broke news

00:11:06.560 that we now have proof

00:11:08.560 that the FBI

00:11:10.180 was utilizing

00:11:11.240 at least one

00:11:12.400 undercover asset,

00:11:13.940 possibly more,

00:11:15.320 to infiltrate

00:11:16.360 local religious organizations

00:11:18.240 as, quote,

00:11:19.700 new avenues for tripwire

00:11:21.780 and source development.

00:11:24.020 Here's the tweet.

00:11:25.900 Now, this letter

00:11:26.780 that Chairman Jordan

00:11:28.640 sent to Christopher Wray,

00:11:30.040 director of the FBI,

00:11:30.980 explains that we have

00:11:32.920 been seeking information

00:11:34.140 concerning a document

00:11:35.500 produced to us

00:11:36.740 by the Richmond Field Office

00:11:38.280 of the FBI

00:11:39.000 entitled, quote,

00:11:41.060 Interest of racially

00:11:42.860 or ethnically motivated

00:11:44.120 violent extremists

00:11:45.380 in radical traditionalist

00:11:47.660 Catholic ideology

00:11:48.940 almost certainly presents

00:11:51.260 new mitigation opportunities.

00:11:53.400 So this is a memo

00:11:54.680 coming out

00:11:55.600 of the Richmond Field Office

00:11:56.980 where an assessment

00:11:58.060 is being made

00:11:58.920 that there's this great threat

00:12:00.600 in traditional Catholics,

00:12:01.880 but don't worry,

00:12:03.120 we can mitigate that threat

00:12:05.180 so long as we have

00:12:06.400 the FBI

00:12:07.260 more involved

00:12:08.520 in the Catholic Church.

00:12:10.580 Now, in this document,

00:12:12.400 the FBI categorized

00:12:13.400 Catholic Americans

00:12:14.260 based on theological distinctions

00:12:16.880 and relied on,

00:12:18.660 you will not believe this,

00:12:20.140 the left-wing

00:12:21.080 and defamatory

00:12:22.180 Southern Poverty Law Center

00:12:24.160 as authority

00:12:26.260 to classify certain Christians 0.96

00:12:29.280 as potential domestic terrorists.

00:12:32.340 The FBI,

00:12:33.680 relying on information

00:12:34.560 from at least

00:12:35.280 one undercover agent,

00:12:36.680 sought to engage

00:12:37.760 with mainline Catholic parishes

00:12:39.840 to, quote,

00:12:41.060 sensitize the congregation

00:12:43.180 to warning signs

00:12:44.800 of radicalization

00:12:45.840 and enlist their assistance

00:12:47.520 to serve as

00:12:48.940 suspicious activity tripwires.

00:12:51.960 Is that what you think

00:12:53.220 of your fellow parishioners,

00:12:54.840 your fellow churchgoers,

00:12:56.120 that they're the potential tripwires

00:12:58.100 that could rat you out

00:12:59.340 to the FBI

00:12:59.940 if they don't like

00:13:00.780 your politics

00:13:01.780 or your bumper sticker,

00:13:03.680 how you pray,

00:13:04.640 where you pray,

00:13:05.640 what you pray?

00:13:07.340 The FBI also expressed

00:13:08.780 an interest

00:13:09.360 in source development

00:13:10.580 within placement

00:13:12.440 and access

00:13:13.660 to the parishes

00:13:15.260 that they were interested in.

00:13:18.180 This is completely abusive

00:13:20.200 and it is everything

00:13:21.660 the Weaponization Committee

00:13:22.580 has been fighting

00:13:23.460 to undercover and stop.

00:13:26.300 Out of touch,

00:13:27.460 partisan bureaucrats

00:13:28.540 in charge of the FBI

00:13:30.120 consider everyday

00:13:31.640 red-blooded American Catholics

00:13:33.560 to be threats 0.92

00:13:35.000 to our democracy.

00:13:36.020 What, because they're pro-life?

00:13:38.780 They are spying

00:13:40.180 on anyone and everyone

00:13:41.520 who doesn't march

00:13:42.880 to the beat

00:13:43.400 of the regime's drum.

00:13:45.860 Don't support

00:13:46.700 drag queen story hour.

00:13:48.500 Don't believe

00:13:48.960 that elementary schools

00:13:50.260 should be discussing

00:13:51.040 gender

00:13:52.260 and critical race theory.

00:13:55.300 Consider yourself

00:13:56.020 an enemy of the state

00:13:57.260 because you may be

00:13:58.600 on the FBI's radar.

00:14:01.080 Christian Americans

00:14:01.620 are the foundation

00:14:02.380 of this nation.

00:14:04.200 Christian Americans

00:14:04.960 built America

00:14:06.160 and work every day

00:14:07.560 charitably,

00:14:09.240 kindly,

00:14:10.060 lovingly

00:14:10.620 to sustain it.

00:14:12.540 Christians are essential

00:14:13.560 to preserving

00:14:14.760 our country

00:14:15.760 and to stop

00:14:17.040 the destruction

00:14:17.620 of everything

00:14:18.160 that makes America great.

00:14:20.220 That is why Christians 1.00

00:14:21.300 are so often

00:14:22.160 the target.

00:14:23.460 The regime wants you

00:14:24.540 to fall in line

00:14:25.460 and get with the program.

00:14:27.400 And the intelligence

00:14:28.480 bureaucracy

00:14:28.960 knows this.

00:14:30.440 they're desperately

00:14:32.020 trying to cripple 0.99

00:14:33.220 the opposition.

00:14:34.980 So stay strong.

00:14:36.660 Continue to speak

00:14:37.760 out and stand up

00:14:39.300 against any radical

00:14:40.640 takeover of our country.

00:14:42.720 And we will do

00:14:43.440 everything we can

00:14:44.520 to prevent

00:14:45.300 the FBI

00:14:46.140 from continuing

00:14:46.860 this behavior.

00:14:48.500 And trust me,

00:14:49.520 there's going to be

00:14:50.140 many,

00:14:50.540 much more to come

00:14:51.600 on that story.

00:14:53.540 I also want to give

00:14:54.680 everyone

00:14:55.160 an important update

00:14:56.360 regarding election

00:14:57.520 integrity.

00:14:58.060 The House

00:14:58.460 Administration Committee

00:14:59.400 here in Congress

00:15:00.600 has jurisdiction

00:15:01.440 over elections.

00:15:03.520 And I want to

00:15:04.080 encourage you

00:15:05.180 to go to the

00:15:06.280 House Administration

00:15:07.020 Republican website

00:15:08.100 or to the website

00:15:09.280 of the committee's

00:15:10.300 chairman,

00:15:10.880 Brian Stile,

00:15:11.980 S-T-E-I-L, 1.00

00:15:13.660 and sign up

00:15:14.320 for the Faith

00:15:15.080 in Elections project,

00:15:16.980 Educate,

00:15:17.840 Engage,

00:15:18.420 and Reform.

00:15:19.480 The top line

00:15:20.140 messaging here

00:15:20.960 is that for three years

00:15:22.300 Democrats have been

00:15:23.120 working to undermine

00:15:24.220 our faith

00:15:25.200 in elections

00:15:25.860 and really try

00:15:27.140 to use the power

00:15:27.800 they had in

00:15:28.420 Washington

00:15:28.840 to federalize

00:15:29.960 elections.

00:15:30.900 We believe that

00:15:31.780 state-specific

00:15:32.840 approaches,

00:15:33.900 rather than

00:15:34.440 one-size-fits-all

00:15:35.820 tactics,

00:15:38.540 will ensure

00:15:39.260 the security

00:15:39.900 and fairness

00:15:40.320 of elections.

00:15:41.440 Specifically,

00:15:42.720 Florida,

00:15:43.540 Louisiana,

00:15:44.400 Ohio,

00:15:45.060 and most recently

00:15:46.160 Georgia,

00:15:47.460 strengthened

00:15:48.040 voter ID laws

00:15:49.820 and they can

00:15:50.480 operate in some

00:15:51.820 regards as a gold

00:15:52.860 standard on those

00:15:53.800 questions.

00:15:54.320 Now, I think in

00:15:54.800 Georgia there's a lot

00:15:55.520 of personnel they need

00:15:56.420 to change out,

00:15:57.480 but I'm also glad

00:15:58.500 that the House

00:15:58.900 Administration Committee

00:16:00.140 is looking at some

00:16:01.180 specific examples

00:16:02.340 where we've fallen

00:16:04.220 short of the standard

00:16:05.980 that we set for the

00:16:06.740 world,

00:16:07.160 and I want to just

00:16:07.720 bring this one to

00:16:08.560 your attention.

00:16:09.860 Luzerne County,

00:16:10.900 Pennsylvania.

00:16:12.180 So on Tuesday,

00:16:12.900 March 28th,

00:16:13.660 the House Administration

00:16:14.460 Committee held a

00:16:15.500 hearing entitled

00:16:16.320 2022 Midterms

00:16:18.420 Look Back Series,

00:16:19.640 and what they found

00:16:20.980 during this investigation

00:16:22.580 is that in Luzerne County,

00:16:24.680 Pennsylvania,

00:16:26.080 nearly a third of the

00:16:27.540 polling locations ran

00:16:29.060 out of ballots on

00:16:30.400 Election Day,

00:16:31.340 and in those places

00:16:32.900 many voters were

00:16:34.220 denied the right to

00:16:35.280 vote.

00:16:36.200 So we have to find out

00:16:37.080 where this is happening,

00:16:38.360 not to federalize

00:16:39.460 elections,

00:16:40.220 but to try to get

00:16:41.300 local officials to be

00:16:43.200 responsive and

00:16:44.300 transparent and

00:16:45.680 faithful to their job

00:16:47.300 and their mission,

00:16:47.880 because if you run out

00:16:49.120 of ballots on Election

00:16:49.960 Day and you

00:16:50.740 predominantly have voters

00:16:51.620 who think a particular

00:16:52.400 way choosing to vote

00:16:53.380 on Election Day,

00:16:54.400 then not only is that

00:16:55.580 voter suppression,

00:16:57.620 but it's election

00:16:58.360 interference because

00:16:59.880 there is a partisan

00:17:01.440 outcome, an ideological

00:17:02.760 outcome as a

00:17:04.240 consequence.

00:17:05.180 Also want to give you

00:17:05.820 an update from the

00:17:06.520 Ways and Means

00:17:07.540 Committee.

00:17:08.580 Chairman Jason Smith

00:17:09.780 and Oversight

00:17:10.600 Subcommittee Chairman

00:17:11.480 David Schweikert put

00:17:13.100 out a statement

00:17:13.800 regarding the

00:17:15.060 recent updates

00:17:16.100 to the

00:17:17.320 administration's

00:17:18.320 implementation

00:17:18.920 of their

00:17:21.260 IRS 0.92

00:17:22.260 reporting

00:17:23.120 scheme.

00:17:23.840 So here's what you

00:17:24.440 need to know

00:17:25.200 about this.

00:17:26.240 Democrats

00:17:26.720 lowered the

00:17:28.160 threshold for

00:17:28.860 reporting to a

00:17:30.100 mere $600 in

00:17:31.860 their so-called

00:17:32.520 American Rescue

00:17:33.660 Plan.

00:17:34.620 Given how

00:17:34.960 problematic these

00:17:35.940 new requirements

00:17:36.560 will be, the

00:17:37.100 Biden administration

00:17:37.860 has pushed back

00:17:39.080 the rollout of

00:17:39.940 this until next

00:17:40.840 year, but that 0.99

00:17:41.720 shows how foolish 0.95

00:17:42.800 it was in the 1.00

00:17:43.620 first place.

00:17:44.700 Now, many

00:17:45.160 Americans, as a

00:17:46.100 result of this

00:17:46.860 rescue plan, are

00:17:48.220 going to need

00:17:48.980 rescue because the

00:17:50.500 lower reporting

00:17:51.360 threshold will

00:17:52.660 likely result in

00:17:54.200 higher accounting

00:17:55.360 charges for

00:17:56.620 middle-class people

00:17:57.620 just to comply with

00:17:58.820 the law, just to

00:18:00.040 not be audited or

00:18:01.380 terrorized by the

00:18:02.360 87,000 new IRS

00:18:03.800 agents.

00:18:05.200 There's an important

00:18:05.960 piece of legislation

00:18:06.820 that I'm going to be

00:18:08.240 co-sponsoring that I

00:18:09.240 want you to know

00:18:09.740 about at H.R.

00:18:10.660 190, the Saving

00:18:12.380 Gig Economy

00:18:13.140 Taxpayers Act.

00:18:14.180 This was introduced

00:18:15.080 by Representative

00:18:15.720 Carol Miller of

00:18:16.620 West Virginia, and

00:18:17.900 it would restore the

00:18:19.100 higher threshold to

00:18:20.600 more than 200

00:18:21.880 commercial transactions

00:18:23.800 worth more than

00:18:25.000 $20,000 in

00:18:26.300 payments.

00:18:27.080 So, to not have

00:18:28.060 the IRS crawling

00:18:29.300 around in every

00:18:29.980 $601 transaction,

00:18:32.600 Representative

00:18:33.320 Miller's legislation

00:18:34.420 would raise that

00:18:35.440 threshold to

00:18:36.360 $20,000, and it

00:18:38.520 would be for

00:18:39.360 commercial transactions

00:18:40.540 rather than other

00:18:43.160 matters that ought

00:18:44.680 fall below the

00:18:46.260 scrutiny of the

00:18:47.240 IRS without question.

00:18:49.100 So, that's

00:18:49.920 important legislation

00:18:50.680 to keep up with as

00:18:51.520 well.

00:18:52.320 Finally, I want to

00:18:53.260 talk about the big

00:18:53.980 news that a lot of

00:18:55.500 Republicans in

00:18:56.300 Congress are reacting

00:18:57.220 to now.

00:18:58.260 It broke in the

00:18:59.120 New York Times.

00:18:59.960 It's a piece by

00:19:00.640 Jonathan Swan

00:19:01.520 entitled,

00:19:02.640 Staring Down a Debt

00:19:03.420 Crisis, McCarthy

00:19:04.780 Toils to Navigate

00:19:06.440 GOP Divisions.

00:19:08.320 And in the piece,

00:19:10.000 the main takeaway,

00:19:11.420 McCarthy is quoted,

00:19:14.080 not really quoted,

00:19:15.620 on background,

00:19:16.460 people told the New

00:19:18.080 York Times that

00:19:19.280 Speaker McCarthy had

00:19:20.280 called Budget

00:19:21.160 Chairman Jody

00:19:22.140 Arrington incompetent,

00:19:24.320 and the Majority

00:19:25.520 Leader Steve Scalise

00:19:26.420 as ineffective and

00:19:27.680 unwilling to take

00:19:28.740 hard positions.

00:19:30.260 Here's what you need

00:19:30.840 to know.

00:19:31.880 The New York Times

00:19:32.800 gets a lot of this

00:19:34.220 wrong.

00:19:35.340 And while I don't

00:19:36.820 know the specifics

00:19:37.500 here, and I haven't

00:19:38.800 been involved in these

00:19:39.800 particular discussions,

00:19:41.340 one thing I can tell

00:19:42.240 you is that Budget

00:19:42.920 Chairman Jody

00:19:43.680 Arrington is not

00:19:44.700 incompetent.

00:19:45.780 He is highly

00:19:46.660 competent.

00:19:47.620 Matter of fact,

00:19:48.600 when Republicans

00:19:49.300 recently gathered to

00:19:50.340 strategize about the

00:19:51.340 upcoming debt limit,

00:19:52.940 Jody Arrington stood

00:19:54.100 before the conference

00:19:54.940 and proposed specific

00:19:57.140 deep vertical cuts to

00:19:59.940 agencies in Washington

00:20:01.240 where the taxpayers would

00:20:03.200 be better served and the

00:20:04.120 American people would be 0.88

00:20:05.120 better served if we got

00:20:06.400 rid of the federal

00:20:07.460 infrastructure around red

00:20:09.980 tape and bureaucracy and

00:20:11.360 block-granted healthcare,

00:20:13.560 money, education money,

00:20:16.420 workforce dollars to the

00:20:17.680 states to allow the

00:20:19.520 laboratories of democracy

00:20:20.880 to flourish.

00:20:21.780 And Jody Arrington, the

00:20:22.900 Budget Chairman, was not

00:20:26.340 mincing words about the

00:20:27.860 fact that there would have

00:20:28.660 to be some entitlements

00:20:31.060 like Medicaid that would

00:20:34.060 be subject to strict work

00:20:35.880 requirements.

00:20:36.980 People who are able to

00:20:38.260 work should work if they

00:20:40.020 want others to be a part

00:20:42.340 of paying for their

00:20:43.440 housing or education or

00:20:45.980 their cell phone or their

00:20:47.320 transportation or any

00:20:49.280 other thing that other

00:20:50.760 people are providing

00:20:52.560 resources for in one's

00:20:54.020 life.

00:20:54.740 That makes society more

00:20:56.920 productive when individual

00:20:58.460 members of the society are

00:20:59.860 more productive.

00:21:01.260 So Arrington lays that out

00:21:02.980 at our strategy meeting.

00:21:04.180 Then this New York Times

00:21:05.280 piece comes out.

00:21:06.080 That's chased by a Julie 0.69

00:21:08.060 Grace Berfke piece in

00:21:09.660 Axios going through the

00:21:12.200 various consequences of

00:21:14.720 people reacting to this

00:21:16.020 news from the New York

00:21:18.140 Times.

00:21:18.940 So here's the bottom line.

00:21:21.040 Republicans need an answer

00:21:22.420 on the debt limit.

00:21:23.680 It is approaching and if we

00:21:25.620 don't lay out a budget and a

00:21:27.300 plan, then we are at Janet

00:21:29.560 Yellen's whim to dictate the

00:21:31.260 timing most advantageous to the

00:21:33.580 administration to force a

00:21:35.720 multi-trillion dollar increase

00:21:37.180 to the debt limit without any

00:21:38.720 downward pressure on

00:21:39.480 spending.

00:21:40.900 And I'll be straight with you.

00:21:42.040 I have never voted to raise

00:21:43.400 the debt limit.

00:21:44.380 Not during President Biden.

00:21:46.240 Not during President Trump.

00:21:48.840 Because there was never

00:21:50.060 corresponding spending cuts.

00:21:52.800 And you have to have

00:21:53.600 corresponding spending cuts.

00:21:54.980 Otherwise, we continue to push

00:21:56.660 our nation into an era where

00:21:58.920 being the global reserve

00:22:00.620 currency is not assured.

00:22:03.700 So in the development of a

00:22:05.460 plan, you've seen a variety of

00:22:07.140 different ideas come forward.

00:22:09.020 Patrick McHenry, chairman of

00:22:10.520 the Financial Services

00:22:11.300 Committee, says we should just

00:22:12.220 raise the debt limit clean.

00:22:14.440 Shouldn't make demands for

00:22:15.940 corresponding spending cuts.

00:22:17.700 That I disagree with.

00:22:19.320 Jody Arrington, the budget

00:22:21.140 chairman, he put out a plan at

00:22:23.500 the Republican Strategy

00:22:24.640 Conference.

00:22:25.780 I thought it was pretty good.

00:22:26.760 But now you see this reporting.

00:22:29.900 The House Freedom Caucus has

00:22:31.000 put out a spending cut plan.

00:22:32.180 And it really goes after the

00:22:33.820 woke and weaponized government.

00:22:36.820 And wasteful.

00:22:37.920 The three W's.

00:22:39.620 Congressman Andy Biggs has

00:22:40.640 put out a plan.

00:22:41.820 507 pieces of legislation

00:22:43.520 specifically reducing spending.

00:22:46.620 Going after a lot of the goofy

00:22:48.340 green climate policies.

00:22:50.440 The ESG policies.

00:22:51.840 A lot of the funding of

00:22:53.060 critical race theory and the

00:22:54.340 like.

00:22:54.620 And even the Republican Study

00:22:55.740 Committee and other

00:22:56.380 conservative group has put out

00:22:58.280 a blueprint and a game plan

00:23:00.440 about how to deal with the

00:23:01.420 debt limit.

00:23:03.840 If we do not move something

00:23:06.300 off of the floor of the House

00:23:07.580 of Representatives with at

00:23:09.260 least 218 votes, it

00:23:11.520 strengthens Biden's hand.

00:23:13.720 And so here's my

00:23:14.380 recommendation.

00:23:15.480 Let's vote on all of them.

00:23:16.940 Let's not be afraid that some

00:23:19.080 spending reduction that we put

00:23:20.440 on the floor might not pass.

00:23:22.020 Let's source all the good ideas

00:23:25.920 that we have from different

00:23:27.240 members of the caucus regarding

00:23:28.700 reductions in spending and

00:23:30.600 some will pass, some will fail,

00:23:32.980 and then that will constitute the

00:23:35.000 position of the House of

00:23:35.960 Representatives negotiating

00:23:37.260 against the Senate and Joe

00:23:38.740 Biden.

00:23:39.040 Because you can rest assured

00:23:40.600 they're not going to be looking

00:23:41.640 for reductions in spending.

00:23:43.360 They believe that the way to deal

00:23:45.000 with the deficit is to hire more

00:23:46.720 IRS agents.

00:23:47.620 to have higher taxes, to have

00:23:50.860 higher compliance costs for

00:23:52.960 people who make under $400,000

00:23:55.200 a year, families where the

00:23:56.980 cumulative income is less than

00:23:59.480 $400,000.

00:24:00.580 You better expect for your

00:24:01.680 compliance costs to go up.

00:24:02.820 I hope you're able to handle that

00:24:04.440 next multi-thousand dollar

00:24:05.940 accounting bill.

00:24:07.940 See, that's where the Biden

00:24:09.720 administration has deviated from

00:24:12.080 their mandate.

00:24:13.140 The American people said during

00:24:14.400 the midterms that we had to deal

00:24:16.380 with inflation, and so often that

00:24:19.820 inflation is driven by bad Fed

00:24:21.600 policy and by government-induced

00:24:24.160 spending.

00:24:25.680 So I don't know what to make of

00:24:27.020 the New York Times veracity.

00:24:29.300 Usually I believe the New York

00:24:30.900 Times is lying until I see proof

00:24:33.280 that they are not, and I don't see

00:24:34.560 that in this reporting.

00:24:36.080 But what I do see is hard work

00:24:37.740 being done by Budget Chairman

00:24:39.720 Jody Arrington, by the House

00:24:41.380 Freedom Caucus, by my colleague

00:24:43.200 Andy Biggs, and I am thoroughly

00:24:45.240 supportive of all of those efforts.

00:24:48.160 And so let's start taking those

00:24:49.960 tough votes on the floor.

00:24:51.360 Let's start seeing where all the

00:24:52.520 Republicans stand and where all

00:24:53.840 the representatives of the people

00:24:55.200 do, and that will put us in the

00:24:57.300 strongest position.
