00:00:55.960 Get started now. Let there be goals

00:00:58.040 this summer on FanDuel.

00:01:00.140 Listen, all you New Yorkers.

00:01:02.660 You mean taxi?

00:01:04.060 Okay, do you want to look around?

00:01:05.360 This is the 77

00:01:07.200 WABC Minicast.

00:01:11.040 It's the

00:01:11.620 Anthony Cumia Show, and let's

00:01:13.600 continue a little bit more with

00:01:15.580 the amazing 0.99

00:01:17.260 Rosie O'Donnell talking about

00:01:19.740 Stephen Colbert's

00:01:21.360 firing, which she thinks

00:01:23.720 of course was donald trump because everything that happens that she doesn't agree with or like

00:01:28.780 must be donald trump um yeah a little more of a rosy here he's deluded it's like me saying i'm

00:01:35.780 the thinnest person you've ever seen that's deluded i am i don't wear glasses i am i'm not

00:01:44.880 wearing glasses like it's crazy it's completely devoid of reality that's the issue joking you

00:01:53.020 You know, the sadness to know that he's been getting away with it

00:01:57.680 and the slush fund and his constant, deluded, disgraceful behavior.

00:02:07.060 You could stop it right there.

00:02:08.540 I'm very proud. 0.96

00:02:11.240 It's so ridiculous how they talk about Donald Trump 0.55

00:02:15.500 with the same language and terms that they should have used for Joe Biden. 0.96

00:02:21.920 and that clown show four years where god knows who was running anything we can assume it was

00:02:31.540 obama and company but uh if if you think donald trump telling a joke about you know i use the 0.93

00:02:39.700 word dumb it's gotta be in it a lot of people don't know that that's funny that's donald trump

00:02:44.040 If somebody, I don't know, Ronald Reagan said that, Jimmy Carter said that, 0.98

00:02:51.860 you'd go like, huh, uh-oh.

00:02:54.060 Donald Trump said it.

00:02:56.200 He obviously says stuff like this.

00:02:59.980 And it's to goof on the media, to be funny.

00:03:05.380 Donald Trump likes being funny.

00:03:08.360 But not a word?

00:03:09.920 Did herpy lip Rosie say a word about Joe Biden and his lack of mental acuity during his tenure?

00:03:22.220 Even before, during the campaign, when they hit him in the basement of his house?

00:03:27.340 Remember that?

00:03:29.640 And then the end of his presidency, where they're trying to drag him across the finish line.

00:03:37.080 and he collapsed during that debate thank god and that was that and and not a word from rosie or the

00:03:46.660 likes george clooney where were all those uh people that are speaking up and saying oh my god

00:03:54.420 did you see see donald trump said he's the smartest guy in the world you know that's funny

00:03:59.600 they've all lost whatever sense of humor they may have had they're incapable of identifying

00:04:07.700 when something is funny or when someone's making a joke even someone like trump that you despise 0.97

00:04:14.740 that you you cannot stand at least at the very least go all right he's busting balls he's joking 0.90

00:04:23.380 around a little bit but nope a sense of humor would uh until you you have uh intelligence

00:04:33.120 and you're able to make the distinction between reality and fantasy and as we know

00:04:41.280 the left is completely unable to do um those simple tasks all right this is uh i want to

00:04:51.100 talk about uh mem danny and uh how he's handling crime and most uh most importantly violent crime

00:05:00.340 in new york city how is he doing it with uh with violence interrupters now the first time i heard

00:05:08.680 about this it was from another city can anyone guess i wonder where this could be that's right

00:05:17.120 In Chicago, Mayor Brandon Johnson put in place violence interrupters.

00:05:26.780 They are supposed to show up when there's violence.

00:05:33.240 And anyone?

00:05:34.780 And what are they supposed to?

00:05:36.740 That's right, Bobby.

00:05:38.640 Interrupt the violence.

00:05:41.100 A lot of violence gets interrupted in these cities.

00:05:44.800 You fire a bullet, someone interrupts the trajectory of the bullet with their body.

00:05:52.720 So they do have violence interrupters, but these are different.

00:05:56.600 These are people that they choose from gangs, prison, hardened violent criminals,

00:06:04.720 And they give them money, your money, taxpayer money, to try to sway the gang members to give up that life of crime and to interrupt the violence that is coming out of these gangs on the streets of New York and Chicago and many of these violent Democrat-run blue cities.

00:06:30.920 uh it doesn't work this is another fantasy world scenario they get it from hollywood

00:06:42.080 movies where the the hardened gang member right he's part of a gang he's ruthless 0.74

00:06:49.820 but he's smart and he has a heart that's always the way they're not the dimwits that you see

00:06:57.720 when they arrest these people and try them

00:07:00.140 or you hear them speaking.

00:07:02.080 They're clever and street smart

00:07:05.280 and they also have a heart.

00:07:07.700 They know right from wrong,

00:07:09.000 but the situation, life,

00:07:11.620 has put them in a predicament

00:07:14.000 where they know they have to do

00:07:15.860 what they have to do.

00:07:17.820 That's the fantasy movie version.

00:07:20.780 And then when they are,

00:07:23.940 they have some tragedy happen usually.

00:07:26.520 their mama gets killed or their little brother or something because of gang activity then they flip

00:07:34.520 and they go i'm going to make a difference i'm going to use my power as a gang leader

00:07:41.160 to to get rid of this violence it's so hollywood it it's it should be those movies should be under

00:07:52.040 the science fiction or fantasy section of the movies when you're scrolling through netflix

00:07:59.560 because uh reality is a little different uh here we go new york city violence interrupter who was

00:08:09.740 charged with murder twice is now eyed by the nypd in a slashing an ex-con who worked for the new

00:08:18.820 york city anti-violence group is being eyed by cops for slashing a man in the bronx the bronx

00:08:26.400 rises against gun violence worker who was twice charged with murder i don't know how you're

00:08:35.100 walking the streets twice charged with murder allegedly attacked a stranger around 3 p.m may

00:08:43.280 near the non-profit's Boston Road office, police sources said.

00:08:49.880 Police horses? No, police sources.

00:08:53.240 The 38-year-old victim told police he was walking to a deli in the East Bronx

00:08:58.320 when a stranger slashed his left cheek and chin.

00:09:01.580 The alleged slasher and the man with him,

00:09:04.020 who also works at the violence interrupter group, ran.

00:09:09.440 Uh-huh.

00:09:10.480 well police uh when they went to the group's headquarters to investigate they were told to

00:09:16.520 stay out we don't work with the police someone inside barked this is an organization that is

00:09:24.860 being paid they're paid they're being paid by the city violence interrupters uh

00:09:32.800 brag what is hold on let me see what this is

00:09:36.460 Bronx rises oh the group was listed as community partners in the city's

00:09:42.340 blueprint to end gun violence the initiative of former mayor Eric

00:09:47.720 Adams to prepare a plan of action towards removing guns 0.99

00:09:51.120 from New York streets what a bunch of crap you know what 0.98

00:09:55.400 removes guns from New York streets stop question and frisk 0.99

00:09:59.920 under Giuliani, that worked like a charm.

00:10:05.440 Not only were they taking guns off the street,

00:10:08.280 but these thugs, the last thing they wanted was to catch a gun charge

00:10:12.060 or to lose their gun.

00:10:15.020 So if they were just going to go out for an evening stroll,

00:10:18.180 they wouldn't take their gun with them.

00:10:21.560 Cops were looking, just looking, to put someone against the wall

00:10:25.660 and frisk them down. 0.71

00:10:27.840 uh that works police source uh said the incident is an example of just how insane the woke

00:10:37.560 anti-violence non-profit industry is and how dangerous it is so someone on the city payroll

00:10:43.580 whose job it is to prevent violence slash someone in the presence of his co-workers and they all

00:10:48.900 fled uh together said a stunned police horse no source it's insane the source said

00:10:57.840 it's insane wilbur the 38 year old victim who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he

00:11:04.740 fears for his safety why i'm sure these are wonderful people that would never harm you

00:11:09.160 said he was going to the deli he just cut me from behind uh yeah uh he had a three-inch wound

00:11:18.220 bled profusely he is outraged the attacker is paid with taxpayer funds it's bad enough

00:11:28.460 it's bad enough that these people are out on the streets perpetrating these crimes with

00:11:36.740 impunity because we've had mayors even mayor adams who now uh looks looks like uh juliani

00:11:45.620 compared to Mumdani.

00:11:49.060 But they were all putting these policies in place.

00:11:51.520 Anything, anything possible

00:11:54.640 instead of doing what needs to be done.

00:11:58.260 Arrests, an actual trial

00:12:02.860 by legitimate DAs and judges,

00:12:07.620 convictions and sentences that matter.

00:12:11.180 That's how you stop it.

00:12:12.400 Not by paying, paying murderers. 0.95

00:12:18.760 This guy is a two-time murderer. 0.99

00:12:22.020 And they're paying him to go around and slash people in the face. 1.00

00:12:27.780 Unbelievable.

00:12:28.460 But here's Mayor Mamdani chit-chatting with a couple of the violence interrupters

00:12:35.540 at a little sit-down in one of the New York parks at a picnic table, AC6.

00:12:41.660 Let's listen in.

00:12:43.000 I remember somebody got killed in my neighborhood.

00:12:46.300 Killed?

00:12:46.820 And I was young.

00:12:47.560 I got killed. 1.00

00:12:48.320 I dressed up like a Scot. 0.55

00:12:49.400 He's desensitized.

00:12:50.500 It's normal.

00:12:51.560 And that's not good because, like, it's not normal for somebody else to die.

00:12:55.020 It's not normal to take somebody else's life.

00:12:57.560 I got a long list of friends that I lost, and I don't really want to lose any more to that.

00:13:01.100 People out here getting killed at a very young age.

00:13:02.800 Where'd they go?

00:13:03.280 Have you checked under the couch?

00:13:05.060 People went to jail and stuff like that.

00:13:06.360 We need to eradicate gun violence, stop censors gun violence.

00:13:10.240 Young people want to live, young people want their community safe, and they're looking forward to it.

00:13:15.000 I've been impacted by gun violence in the streets, and now I'm trying to make a change.

00:13:19.640 I'm trying to rewrite my story.

00:13:21.280 A lot of times you go through these kinds of situations, crises,

00:13:25.780 and you're made to feel like you're the only one who's ever had to experience this.

00:13:29.100 You're made to feel alone.

00:13:30.300 You have to show them that you care.

00:13:32.140 And what we do with New York City Crisis Management System, as you know, Mr. Mayor, it's unconventional.

00:13:37.260 Right, it's late night conversation.

00:13:38.820 It's sacrifices that we make to interrupt violence.

00:13:42.300 And I think ultimately, at the root of it all, Mr. May, it's truly showing young people that you care.

00:13:48.020 Because the youth are seeking love.

00:13:50.200 They're seeking love.

00:13:51.280 And they're looking for men and women who come from the same world.

00:13:53.840 Seeking love to understand what they're going through.

00:13:56.280 They're looking for that.

00:13:57.160 So they latch on to mentors like myself and all of us across New York City.

00:14:00.840 I think, you know, the work that you do, the work that so many CMS providers do in and of itself makes clear that this is a crisis across the city.

00:14:11.780 You know, and there's a lot more the city has to do to actually meet you halfway.

00:14:16.860 The violence is brewing up in the winter.

00:14:19.760 People are getting into situations all winter long and they wait for the summertime to come outside with a gun or come outside and handle their situation.

00:14:26.280 Who is he talking about?

00:14:27.540 Could you pause that for a minute?

00:14:29.340 Who is he talking about?

00:14:30.840 Yeah, a lot of situations come up in the winter, and then the summer comes up, and they go out with a gun.

00:14:36.920 I've never known anyone like this in my life.

00:14:41.460 I've never known someone that has built up a beef in the winter, and they pull out a gun.

00:14:48.200 Who are these people?

00:14:51.080 I don't know who they're talking about.

00:14:55.440 I can in no way, shape, or form relate to what the hell this guy is talking about.

00:15:00.840 it doesn't fit into society.

00:15:06.220 The society I grew up in was raised in.

00:15:10.020 The rules that people adhere to,

00:15:12.580 that we've all agreed to as a society,

00:15:15.560 the rules that the police enforce

00:15:17.480 because we've agreed to those rules.

00:15:21.380 I've never heard something so insane in my life.

00:15:24.760 And if you think a few of the same people,

00:15:29.020 the same murderers and thugs and and assault uh the guys slitting someone's face

00:15:35.840 are gonna make that's who's gonna make the difference

00:15:39.280 when when these guys are are doing things that are isn't even conceivable to a normal

00:15:47.940 american citizen you know what works curfews you know what works cops who will roust these people

00:15:58.200 that are hanging around causing trouble cops that are down in the subways

00:16:04.240 asking what are you doing here what's your business yeah yeah we've gotten to that point 0.66

00:16:12.020 oh really nazi oh what what's next where are your papers yep how about that wait can i see an id 0.64

00:16:21.040 Yeah, how about that? 0.70

00:16:23.680 Oh, that's not America.

00:16:25.060 You think New York City is America?

00:16:27.620 That's the America we're supposed to be living in?

00:16:31.880 Where people walk around and get their face slashed 0.97

00:16:34.500 or they get raped, robbed, murdered? 0.85

00:16:38.720 You just think that's okay, 0.62

00:16:41.440 but doing something about it,

00:16:43.700 like asking people questions,

00:16:45.500 cops asking people questions on the streets

00:16:48.280 and telling them to move along, you can't loiter here,

00:16:55.700 and keeping them moving off of the subway platforms,

00:17:01.160 that's a problem?

00:17:03.240 That's where you draw the line and go, oh, that's oppression.

00:17:06.540 That's fascism.

00:17:08.080 That's Nazis. 0.93

00:17:10.060 I'd take that. 0.90

00:17:11.380 If a cop walked up to me at Penn Station and said, excuse me, can I see some ID?

00:17:21.280 I go, yeah, here you go.

00:17:25.960 All right, have a good evening.

00:17:28.580 That's what would happen.

00:17:30.820 I kind of go, wow, it's terrible that we've gotten to the point where that's necessary.

00:17:36.460 and if it was being done by some other force that was asking me for id because of my political

00:17:45.380 ideology yeah that's a problem that's a problem there are different circumstances where that

00:17:52.180 wouldn't be a good thing and that would be very unconstitutional and i would wonder why they need

00:17:59.620 my information for what i believe in if you're a group of people that are murdering raping robbing

00:18:06.440 assaulting

00:18:08.140 and it's gotten to the

00:18:10.000 epidemic proportions in the city

00:18:12.380 something's got to be done

00:18:13.980 and if it's going back

00:18:16.640 to stop question and frisk

00:18:18.360 so be it

00:18:20.040 gun violence

00:18:22.340 beefs in the winter

00:18:24.400 guns in the summer

00:18:25.520 get out of here

00:18:27.560 it's insane

00:18:29.720 if it's that bad

00:18:32.140 then

00:18:32.940 the cure for it

00:18:36.440 The thing you need to do to solve the issue can't be some easy-peasy thing

00:18:43.780 like send some other thugs out to have a little chit-chat with the gang members. 0.99

00:18:50.120 You think they give a crap? 1.00

00:18:52.020 They probably look at these guys. 1.00

00:18:54.800 First of all, they're in cahoots with them.

00:18:56.800 Because I know one of the instances I read about in Chicago,

00:19:00.480 one of these violence interrupters was using the money he was getting from the city

00:19:06.940 to buy drugs and sell them through the gang that he was affiliated with.

00:19:14.460 Great.

00:19:15.720 So they're either in cahoots. 0.92

00:19:17.100 If they miraculously would find the unicorn gang member

00:19:21.820 who actually is like ones in the movie,

00:19:26.600 they want to change things and and uh stop the violence they would mock him and goof on him 1.00

00:19:35.000 you think they'd respect the guy you got out of the game don't need to talk to your ass 0.98

00:19:42.540 you got out the game there'd be a problem really let's be real here for a second that's a whole 0.99

00:19:52.360 fantasy world they're living in law and order my friends a billy club

00:19:59.940 uh a stop and frisk that's what we need it's gotten that bad sorry something has to be done
