00:22:45.860Oh, well, there's one for the Minnesota Lynx.
00:22:49.840Right. And then there's the other clip, which is the fever coach, because she's babbling about transgender sports. And she she's petrified, it seems like, to give an answer. She's just babbling back and forth about it. Do you have that one?0.99
00:45:26.920uh their their name is kate oh okay well have her come in oh oh how dare you how dare you not figure
00:45:38.120out what is this a puzzle is this wordle or crypto quote or or de jumble what what games are we0.87
00:45:48.500supposed to play to satisfy these mentally ill people who are these people it's it's crazy0.85
00:45:57.160and you're going to a doctor for god's sake i think a doctor gets uh a pass on all that nonsense0.89
00:46:09.580Because if your spouse is a trans woman, the doctor is going to need to know a few things that might be uncomfortable for the woman to talk about.0.96
00:56:22.160And when people come in and start pain handling, and they get aggressive, I say, I yell at them, and I get in this space, and I say, I'm 74, Anthony, but I was a gym teacher, I worked out with weights, I got about 200 pounds.
00:56:36.120So when I get in, all of a sudden, crazy people become quite normal.
00:56:40.060When you're within arm length, and you may be able to pop them in the nose, I'm sorry, and they walk out.
01:13:20.820it's great to be with you uh i understand you were in new york last week and i'm in new york
01:13:25.420this week so i'm just sorry to miss you in person yeah it happens you know and then i got stuck up
01:13:31.920there for a while but that's a whole nother story whole nother story adam i want to uh get into this
01:13:38.040because like i said i thought this was something people said to discredit a protest or an
01:13:46.060organization that had gotten a crowd that had gotten a protest a crowd of people up and they
01:13:53.060said oh they're paid they get paid they got a service that sends people out this is the real
01:13:59.500thing obviously you're the you're the ceo of crowds on demand uh what is this about how does
01:14:04.260this actually work this is peaceful lawful advocacy i like to think of myself as more of a publicist
01:14:12.080than a paid protest organizer because what I do is organize protests that are intended to get
01:14:19.040publicity for a business, get publicity for a cause, raise awareness about somebody who's engaged
01:14:24.400in wrongdoing. The purpose of a protest is not a plebiscite, Anthony. It's not to say 300 people
01:14:32.420are out on one side and 50 are on the other side, so people are six to one in favor of the issue.
01:14:38.400That's not how protesting works. The purpose of a protest is to get attention for your cause, whether it's in the media, social media, or even just among the people who you're focused on in in person. Right. So so that's the goal. And crowds on demand. We only do things the right way. We do things lawfully. We do things peacefully. So when you see kind of these crazy riots or whatever and people blocking roads, I just want your listeners to know that has nothing to do with with me.
01:15:07.440Well, how would you know, Adam, how would you know if you're getting people together for somebody that wants a crowd on demand that they aren't being used on some of these, you know, I will say basically liberal protests that tend to pop off and get a little violent and vandalism happens, maybe some arson and assaults.
01:15:29.600How do you know as the CEO that these people aren't being supplied by your company?
01:15:38.380I vet my clients, and I vet the people who work for us, right, and who protest for us.
01:15:43.420So I vet my clients, and part of that is to make sure that the budget fits the goal,
01:15:49.380but it's also to ensure that what we're doing is lawful and respectful and peaceful
01:15:55.080and that those objectives match, right?
01:15:57.440Now, the politics is a whole different side, and we can get into that if you want.
01:16:02.140But first of all, it's to make sure that it's a lawful, peaceful thing,
01:16:05.800And then the second part is like, look, we don't want to put our people, even if what we're doing is a lawful, peaceful thing, in a position of danger.
01:16:13.340So let's just say you have Antifa versus Proud Boys, and then for some reason someone wants us to do a protest in the middle of that.
01:16:19.900I would respectfully decline that, not because we're doing anything wrong, but that's just inherently going to become a very tense situation.
01:16:28.820So additionally, Anthony, though, it's important to know that we also vet our people.
01:16:33.060So we have, like, a 20-minute sit-down or a Zoom or a phone call with everybody who participates before every event.
01:16:40.140So even if you've worked with us on one or two events, if you're going to go to a third event, we still have that call.
01:16:45.880And it's to make sure, number one, you support the cause, and number two, that we reaffirm the commitment to peaceful, respectful advocacy.
01:16:54.640I've always found, my mom always used to tell me that you're always better, you are a much better advocate for yourself when you are friendly and funny than when you are mean and rude, because that just turns people off.
01:17:06.780I'm sure many of your listeners in New York City saw that viral video of this sort of hippie blocking the street, and there's a single African-American woman trying to get to work, and she's like, I'm trying to get to work, you know, otherwise I can't pay my bills, and he's like, he doesn't really care, you know what I mean?
01:17:22.960And that's right. That turns out that woman off. Right. So. So I don't think that type of protesting is even effective, even if it were lawful.0.95
01:17:31.040Yeah. But quite frankly, I don't think a lot of people that are protesting in that way care if they're turning people off.
01:17:38.000I think they're there for the the violence and to make news and whatnot.
01:17:43.800not i gotta ask you this what do you uh when did it go to being uh like political demonstrations
01:17:50.840because you said this is also a publicity thing for a company or you know a big celebrity event
01:17:57.300i guess you'd want a lot of people out front of a club that's opening when did it take this turn
01:18:03.460to to start political demonstrations uh calling you up and saying hey uh we need some people
01:18:10.660So I've been doing this for almost 15 years now.
01:18:13.540We started the business in 2012, right?
01:18:16.580So I started this business when I was still in college.
01:18:19.740And look, we get a lot of asks for different things.
01:18:23.340Now, one misnomer about us is that we primarily focus on national politics.
01:18:29.940A lot of what we do is dealing with kind of big business disputes, investor disputes,
01:18:35.160It's, you know, business to business, raising awareness about bad practices or totally nonpolitical things.
01:18:40.960I mean, we ran the Delete Facebook campaign, raising awareness about how Facebook misuses your data, you know, turns Americans against each other, you know, even fomented, you know, ethnic and racial hatred for money.
01:18:54.480Right. So that has nothing to do with politics. We had Republicans, we had Democrats, we had people who aren't even political because everybody sort of agrees on this.
01:19:01.320I mean, we've taken on anti-LGBT discrimination in the pharmaceutical and insurance industry, right?
01:19:07.780So these are not political things that really have anything to do with Republican point of view, Democratic point of view.
01:19:13.660And that's honestly how I like it, because, Anthony, I'm an independent.
01:19:16.520I don't subscribe to either political party. I don't owe either of them anything, by the way.
01:19:21.820So I would rather do campaigns that don't fit into that box where we're doing nuanced campaigns that neither of the two big sides aren't going to take on.
01:19:33.140Yeah. Adam, let me ask you this, too. Doesn't it seem a little, at the very least, insincere if somebody is at an event, whether it's political or not, that it's like almost a little phony that they're not there for the reason that people would think they're there? It's kind of show busy.
01:19:56.800So do we have to disclose all of our intentions now?
01:20:00.780If you go to a party, should you put on your little lapel that I'm actually at this party to get laid?0.99
01:20:06.800I said I'm going to my friend's birthday party, but the real reason is I hope there's a hot girl that I'm going to name.
01:20:19.220I get what you mean, but especially in the political, you know, forum, you'd like to think these people are out there because they're so passionate about the cause that they profess to be.
01:20:32.640Now, what I always like to say, glibness aside, is that what we do is we compensate people enough to get them out there.
01:20:41.440And it actually, like, as, you know, people on the right have often found this compelling because a lot of times if you have a trust fund, if you're retired, you're a college professor, you have as much time as you want to go protest.
01:20:52.600But if you work a traditional kind of job or an hourly kind of job and you have kids, you actually rely on us being able to kind of compensate you for your time or you wouldn't really have the ability to show up because the opportunity cost would be too high.
01:21:06.880So we actually facilitate people's participation in causes that they actually believe in.
01:21:11.980So I actually feel like it actually helps the sincerity.
01:21:15.560I mean, just as like a fun historical fact, you know, in the United Kingdom, members of
01:21:20.080parliament didn't even get paid for their service until 1910, I think it was.
01:21:24.920So what happened is the people who were members of parliament were rich guys there to kind
01:21:31.960of bolster the interests of the landed gentry, right?0.77
01:21:34.480So to me, I feel like what I do, and I don't want to sound puppeteers, but I feel like I actually help democratize protests by actually giving people who wouldn't otherwise have that chance the opportunity to kind of go out.
01:21:47.360Like, let's just say it's a pro-police rally, right?
01:21:50.480A lot of those people wouldn't show up, right?
01:21:52.780Just as a fun fact in L.A., there was this absolutely crazy leftist movement that was opposed to a bill that would stop sex offenders from camping near elementary schools, right?
01:22:06.960And I don't know anybody on the left or the right or anyone who would think it's a good idea for sex offenders to camp near elementary schools.
01:22:14.760And yet there were 300 far-left protesters that stormed City Hall.
01:22:18.760Guess how many people were at City Hall on the side of passing the bill?
01:22:22.780No one. Why? Because it's self-evident that that should be there, but it's not, Anthony.
01:22:26.960And for ordinary common-sense causes to prevail, you need people to show up, and we help the common-sense people turn out.
01:22:35.040Now, this brings up a good point with what you just said.
01:22:38.960Do you turn down organizations that are looking for people?
01:24:39.080But they are unfortunately installed, but what we want is, I want to know for any large demonstration, so over 500 people, so it's not going to restrict your ordinary person who's organizing 10 of their friends, but large demonstrations with 500 or more people, I want all the donors from top to bottom so that I want to see the whole chain, and then I want all the vendors from top to bottom.
01:25:04.600So I want to know everybody gets a paycheck, and I want to know everyone who writes that check.
01:25:08.880And what that's going to help us do is, number one, it's going to give us transparency,
01:25:13.040but number two, I think it's going to help the American people understand that any rally that you see
01:25:17.680that's big enough to get on TV and be kind of widely covered in the media
01:25:22.660and therefore make a big national political difference is funded by big interests on the right or on the left,
01:25:29.540whether it's Adelson, whether it's Hoffman, whether it's Laureen Powell Jobs, whoever it is, Soros,
01:25:35.700whoever those people are, the biggest donors, these are the people who are funding this stuff.
01:25:41.360And they're not always funding it directly, but they're often sort of, in some respect, providing those resources.
01:25:49.640It's very rare that a company asks the government for oversight or restrictions or stuff like that.
01:25:56.680is this is this potentially damaging to your bottom line and if so why would you do it
01:26:03.920we'll see some people might think that but i actually think that once we once people actually
01:26:08.960understand that every protest is bought and paid for then i think we'll we'll they'll better
01:26:14.600understand it like the super bowl ad right like when you go to see a super bowl ad you don't think
01:26:19.100oh oh that's just a bunch of genuine people of people that just came up and the ad just
01:26:24.300materialized right you know that was pepsi that was dunkin donuts that was you know go daddy
01:26:30.080right that 10 million 20 million to make that happen right no it could be a good ad in which
01:26:36.440case maybe you buy the product it could be a crappy ad in which i think i think you're jaded
01:26:41.480here though adam because i don't think a lot of people know that a lot of these protests are0.97
01:26:46.260bought and paid for if you say that you sound very cynical you know very uh kind of black
01:26:52.380killed but i think a lot of people are still under the impression that when they see people
01:26:57.340protesting they sincerely are very passionate about the cause oh i think they are i think i
01:27:03.480don't think those things are mutually exclusive i think someone could be getting compensated
01:27:07.460and be and be uh and be compensated uh compensated just as i mean they compensate you for doing the
01:27:13.660show you are an extremely passionate person in your in your work i've listened i listened a
01:27:18.460little bit of your radio and i assume you get paid i don't know what you get paid but you you're not
01:27:23.020enough adam not enough can i get a crowd of people to get
01:27:26.320the anthony comia show we're talking with adam swart from crowds on demand the uh head muckety
01:27:47.720muck over there adam i want to ask you what have you seen in the past uh how long you say you've
01:27:53.000been doing this 15 years almost 15 years yeah okay what have you seen in those 15 years that is
01:27:58.720the big differences in demonstrations from then uh until now the biggest is social media i mean
01:28:07.840of course social media was around at that time yeah but the goal that clients would come in is
01:28:12.460with that that time was i want to get you know if it's a local demonstration i want to get to
01:28:16.640local news uh bigger demonstration you want to get on fox or cnn or whatever now there are these
01:28:22.740sort of micro niche demonstrations that can really go viral within a certain group maybe and and not
01:28:30.580just right and left sure there's that but even even beyond there within specific sects and go
01:28:37.780viral there and and accomplish a lot without really having national prevalence hey that's
01:28:45.500Hold on, because that gives me another question here for you.
01:28:49.960Do you have people that you can put out there for a fee that are influencers that go down with cameras and they can get videos to go viral on their accounts?
01:29:05.320I mean, it's not something we did when we started, but it's something that has been so in demand from our customers that we have started doing that, correct?
01:29:13.000I can imagine that would be pretty, I don't want to use the word aggressive, because that sounds kind of violent, but I would think those people would want to get that good clip, get that maybe a confrontation, because that's really what goes viral.
01:29:31.000A peaceful protest ain't getting any eyes on it, Adam.
01:29:35.180But if you got a little altercation sparking up, a couple of groups throwing things at each other, some tear gas, wouldn't that be something?
01:33:11.340Yeah, just getting my crap together here.
01:33:15.220uh you know i wanted to talk about this uh last hour but we'll do it now the the uh
01:33:22.300news compilation from the unvax bashing that the news gave uh everybody remember when we
01:33:30.760didn't want to get vaxed and the news uh said that the unvaccinated were going to uh kill0.92
01:33:40.880everybody that was it they will kill all of the vaccinated people and by the way the unvaccinated0.94
01:33:48.780will also die horrible deaths remember the winter of death that uh joe biden had said we were going0.85
01:33:55.400to go through if we didn't get vaccinated i tell you i couldn't be happier i didn't get vaccinated
01:34:02.820and it's hard to prove a negative so you you don't know if i got vaccinated would i be worse
01:34:08.820i didn't and worked out fine i got covid very very early in the whole pandemic
01:34:17.640i uh wound up getting it it really clicked in like april of whatever god forsaken year that was
01:34:25.760but i had gotten it in december uh of obviously the previous year and it was uh it was brutal
01:34:34.740it was a brutal flu but that was it i got done with it i was i had natural immunity and i went
01:34:43.600about my life and when they uh suggested that i get vaccinated go screw i'm not doing that
01:34:52.440i was running a company at the time compound media right there in midtown manhattan
01:34:57.700in a studio at 35th and 7th and i let everyone there know that they could work and i would not
01:35:06.440force them to do anything they didn't want to do and one of those things was uh getting the vaccine
01:35:12.620uh so there are a few of us out there that did not get vaccinated and i'm pretty happy about that
01:35:19.040But the politicians and the news, holy moly, they were talking about the unvaccinated like you were walking around with a bomb strapped to your chest just waiting to kill grandma and the kids and everybody else.
01:35:38.980This is a disgusting compilation of mainstream media talking about the unvaccinated.0.94
02:10:08.100so you know mary sometimes uh i take a call and uh i get a little bit of um an epiphany there
02:10:17.220a little revelation oh anthony that's the best thing that's happened to me all day

02:12:07.780horrible things or uh send you things i don't i don't think that's a good thing i don't think
02:12:13.540trump would think it's a good thing uh but look we we live in a time where difference a difference0.98
02:12:24.440of opinion can get you uh nuts that come out to get you that's what it is they're crazy people0.98
02:12:34.680that don't like your opinions don't like your take on politics and they come after you verbally
02:12:41.260online and then the real nut cases send you things and god forbid show up but that's where
02:12:49.820we're living and if you think it's only rosie o'donnell and one of the gals from the view
02:12:55.640that are getting that kind of uh feedback you're out of your mind people on the right
02:13:03.460people that are republicans or conservatives get that hate and and that the threats a lot more0.98
02:13:13.100than people on the left do a lot more because people on the left are violent mental patients0.96
02:13:20.660we see it they're violent mental patients more please no one no one cares what rosie is up to
02:13:33.540i guess she came back from ireland to do a i'm in a broadway show and it's very good0.98
02:13:40.600and then she starts just spouting her Hollywood friends.
02:13:47.340Oh, he goes after everyone, Robert De Niro.
