00:08:10.320 what we were we were a creature that was known as the shock jock not kidding that was an actual

00:08:20.140 thing children gather around gather around and i'll tell you a story about the shock jock

00:08:26.000 This was a real job in radio a few years ago, and what it took was for the shock jock to be the worst possible human being you could find, just irritating, obnoxious.

00:08:42.660 All they talked about was sexual innuendo and body functions and sexual innuendo, racial jokes, misogynistic jokes.

00:08:54.720 it was supposed to be here comes the name shocking so this job as a shock jock was given to a few

00:09:10.200 and um there's so many around the country and opie and anthony we were shock jocks uh and the

00:09:18.060 The really weird, bad part about being a shock shock is you're not liked.

00:13:18.460 It's only in human nature that most people probably cooled off enough to not do that.

00:13:24.360 Well, with the invention and distribution of the smartphones especially, but even in the old days, the flip phones, people had the ability to send a complaint, not so much to the FCC, to your bosses, to their employees, to all your bosses and supervisors, to the board of directors, to the sponsors. 0.99

00:15:23.160 around with cameras on them and loudspeakers citizen get in your house it was us we did it

00:16:27.920 And I think the other factor, when you talk about the shock jock and shocking days, again, it involves the phones and the Internet and the ability to get so much on your phone.
