00:03:46.660 So, you know, let's very briefly start back,

00:03:48.860 you know, 150 years ago or so.

00:03:50.540 We're in the Victorian era.

00:03:51.980 Queen Victoria is on the throne.

00:03:53.800 And there is a huge amount of domestic staff.

00:03:56.660 In fact, it's the second largest employer,

00:03:59.220 if you will, in the United Kingdom

00:04:00.620 compared to farming after right after farming,

00:04:02.800 which is number one.

00:04:04.280 And so these people are required

00:04:06.260 that the amount of domestic staff are required

00:04:08.140 because the homes of the day

00:04:10.300 didn't have running water,

00:04:11.840 didn't have electricity.

00:04:13.260 And so for the wealthy to live,

00:04:15.100 as we all know, when we watch PBS

00:04:20.580 that took a mountain of people

00:04:28.880 Queen Victoria dies, her son, King Edward,

00:04:31.240 you know, so we go into the Edwardian era,

00:04:33.580 And now for the first time in history,

00:04:34.900 we have people leaving domestic service.

00:04:36.520 And so all of a sudden,

00:04:38.420 this is when men start

00:05:09.720 there is no one going into domestic service.

00:05:13.640 And it's just the very few that are left.

00:05:22.100 And now we have a huge amount of wealth

00:05:27.460 And so as they acquire their wealth

00:08:53.480 and so they want to live
