00:00:30.000 Google found itself embroiled in controversy last week
00:00:40.960 after the company's Gemini Artificial Intelligence
00:00:44.120 demonstrated an almost comical adherence to woke ideology.
00:00:48.880 Multiple users found the AI had a particular bias against white people,
00:00:53.500 removing them from almost every historical context.
00:00:57.120 Gemini repeatedly rendered popes, Vikings, medieval knights, American Founding Fathers, and even Nazi SS soldiers without including any white people.
00:01:06.160 When asked if whiteness should be eliminated, the AI replied that the situation was complicated.
00:01:11.960 But when asked if blackness should be eliminated, Gemini said the question was concerning and harmful.
00:01:18.200 This intense level of ideological malice would be concerning in any institution, but Google is in a unique position of power.
00:01:27.260 Not only is Google's search engine the primary portal through which most people interact with the internet,
00:01:33.000 the company also has invested heavily in controlling the flow of information in America's public schools.
00:01:38.620 Google isn't just trying to rewrite history, it's actively working to reprogram the minds of our next generation.
00:01:45.440 And while most conservatives are worried about the level of ideological subversion in big tech companies and public education,
00:01:53.120 few understand the degree to which these sectors are working hand in hand.
00:01:56.920 Google has labored intensely to make its Chromebook ubiquitous in public schools.
00:02:02.800 At first, the affordable laptop replacement seemed like a great way to expose students to computer skills that are critical in the modern job market.
00:02:11.280 But the device has now become a mandatory part of the classroom.
00:02:14.580 Teachers deliver and grade all of their assignments through Google Classroom.
00:02:20.440 Students write all of their papers through Google Docs and create all of their presentations in Google Slides.
00:02:26.500 Online worksheets, quiz programs, and educational games are all designed to integrate with the Google Suite.
00:02:33.660 I'm only a few years removed from teaching in a public school setting,
00:02:37.840 and I can tell you from experience that the level to which students are reliant on the Google search engine is astonishing.
00:02:45.880 Most children have already lost the ability to read a textbook and draw information from it.
00:02:51.320 Students expect to be able to search any question,
00:02:53.860 relying on the algorithm designed by the same people who programmed the Gemini AI to deliver answers.
00:03:01.480 Few school children even bother to click on the links provided by the search engine,
00:03:06.480 instead taking their information from the summary Google provides at the top of its results.
00:03:12.320 The very idea of going to a library and manually investigating primary sources
00:03:18.200 that aren't constantly monitored, censored, and altered for wrong-think by a woke megacorporation
00:03:24.120 would be unfathomable to them.
00:03:26.840 Google now controls the entire algorithmic ecosystem
00:03:30.700 through which American school children learn to gather information or judge its validity.
00:03:37.740 The problems with Chromebook-based education are both obvious and well understood,
00:03:43.500 but skeptical teachers and administrators have been brought into line through institutional pressure.
00:03:49.980 Students who are constantly interacting with screens lose or fail to develop basic skills.
00:03:56.300 Handwriting, note-taking, reading comprehension, and memory recall
00:04:01.420 all suffer as children become entirely reliant on technology.
00:04:05.180 Students who can easily switch between dozens of browser tabs at a moment's notice
00:04:09.740 quickly lose the ability to focus.
00:04:12.900 I will never forget being told that I needed to pause a video every three minutes
00:04:19.180 because anything longer would tax the attention span of the students.
00:04:22.760 School children who submit and store all of their work in Google Classroom
00:04:28.260 lose their ability to organize and fail to develop skills
00:04:32.060 like holding onto and keeping track of necessary items.
00:04:36.500 There's just a whole set of critical life skills that we assume are automatic
00:04:41.720 and rarely think about, but they fail to manifest if every part of the learning experience is digitized.
00:04:48.540 Hey guys, let me tell you about today's sponsor, Magic Spoon.
00:04:51.880 Like, mostly, I have fond memories of waking up at the crack of dawn,
00:04:55.700 excited to watch all the Saturday morning cartoons.
00:04:58.520 Mom didn't want to wake up that early on Saturday,
00:05:00.680 so that meant we got to pour a bowl of our favorite cereal for breakfast.
00:05:03.900 They tasted great, but of course, they were full of sugar and not that healthy,
00:05:07.320 which is why they were a treat.
00:05:08.520 But now Magic Spoon has an alternative to that cereal that you love
00:05:11.760 that has zero sugar but still tastes great.
00:05:14.260 Magic Spoon has reinvented your favorite childhood cereal to taste great,
00:05:17.460 but with each serving containing zero grams of sugar,
00:05:20.260 13 to 14 grams of protein,
00:05:22.180 and four to five net grams of carbs per serving.
00:05:24.740 It's a keto-friendly, gluten-free, grain-free,
00:05:27.820 and soy-free way to relive those moments watching your favorite cartoons.
00:05:31.620 And it's only 140 calories per serving.
00:05:34.020 Peanut butter is my favorite,
00:05:35.140 but they have all kinds of fun flavors like maple waffle and birthday cake.
00:05:39.300 And they've just launched two new flavors of their delicious high-protein cereal treats,
00:05:44.280 blueberry muffin and double chocolate.
00:05:45.920 They're just like the marshmallow-y treats you had as a kid,
00:05:49.080 but with only one gram of sugar and 11 grams of protein per bar.

00:05:56.940 and try the magic for yourself.

00:06:17.320 The number of distractions and disciplinary issues that arise from constant Chromebook use
00:06:23.100 also have an incredibly deleterious impact on the classroom.
00:06:27.960 Administrators will tell you that Chromebooks are locked down with safety restrictions,
00:06:32.380 but that's an absurd lie.
00:06:34.700 A school full of bored children sitting in front of computers all day
00:06:38.260 can circumvent the best protections faster than any technology specialist can institute them.
00:06:44.600 The result?
00:06:46.160 Children are often watching movies, playing video games,
00:06:49.540 and listening to music for most of their school day
00:06:52.500 as teachers desperately try to keep them on task.
00:06:56.220 Tragically, students also regularly find ways to take and share inappropriate photos,
00:07:02.380 bully their peers, and access pornography
00:07:04.900 by circumventing the Chromebook's weak security restrictions.
00:07:08.900 Previously, teachers who were worried about the outsized dependence
00:07:12.780 on Google or disciplinary issues associated with constant Chromebook usage
00:07:17.320 at least had the option of refusing to make the device central in their instruction.
00:07:23.280 But all of that changed once COVID-19.

00:07:40.600 Teen hit.
00:07:41.860 With children confined to their homes and learning done entirely through remote Zoom meetings,
00:07:46.860 the Chromebook became more integral than ever.
00:07:50.320 Every assignment had to be completely digital throughout the lockdown for obvious reasons.
00:07:56.000 But once the children returned to school, nothing changed.
00:07:59.600 Students had been trained to do all their work digitally through Google Classroom,
00:08:03.640 and everyone had gotten used to the idea that all assignments must be available online.
00:08:08.480 If a student was sick, or traveling, or just didn't bother to come to school,
00:08:14.080 administrators demanded that teachers facilitate the completion of all assignments through the Chromebook.
00:08:21.200 Digital assignments have also become mandatory due to the incredible number of students who don't speak English.
00:08:27.240 Many states have changed their model of instruction to place non-English-speaking children in normal classrooms,
00:08:34.720 making heavy use of digital technology to bridge the language gap.
00:08:39.200 Most students who are learning English as a second language would have no hope of completing their assignments
00:08:45.420 or communicating with their instructors without heavy use of Google Translate.
00:08:50.500 Inevitably, every public school teacher was required to make the class digital,
00:08:55.240 and every aspect of that digital learning environment ran directly through the Google ecosystem.
00:09:01.880 Now, Google has issued a non-apology for the Gemini debacle and promised to do better,
00:09:07.760 but let's be clear, none of this was an accident or a mistake.
00:09:11.560 The images and answers produced by Gemini were simply a more obvious version of the poisonous ideology
00:09:18.660 coded deeply into every aspect of Google's algorithm.
00:09:22.800 We are constantly swimming in the progressive sewage that pervades our culture,
00:09:27.600 so it can be difficult to realize how bad the situation really is.
00:09:32.420 Gemini was like being able to summon a tiny, stupid demon that was required to explain all the evil that the left truly believes.
00:09:40.400 That demon is integrated into every aspect of the public education system and is rewriting history as we speak.
00:09:48.860 It might be tempting to say things like,
00:09:50.600 well, that's not my problem, my kids are homeschooled, and that's great,
00:09:54.220 but the vote of your children will be drowned out by the millions of new voters the Democrats are importing every year
00:10:00.240 who only speak English through Google Translate.
00:10:02.900 Google is delivering its hateful and fictitious version of history to tens of millions of public school students,
00:10:10.700 and it's reaping billions of dollars from American taxpayers as a result.
00:10:15.500 The forced digitalization of learning is also destroying the ability of our children to read,
00:10:21.580 write, maintain focus, build organizational skills, and do basic research.
00:10:26.300 This powerful tech company already shapes the way most people interact with information on the internet
00:10:32.960 and is invested heavily in altering the way that the next generation learns.
00:10:38.020 If we don't exercise this ideological demon from our educational institutions now,
00:10:43.960 it'll own the way our children understand truth for generations.
