00:00:00.000 hey everybody how's it going thanks for joining me this afternoon i've got a great stream with
00:00:12.200 a great guest that i think you're really going to enjoy but of course it's not afternoon i did
00:00:15.840 that automatically it's evening i was flying back from dallas today after being on the desk during
00:00:23.080 the blaze coverage of the election uh and so we have a very special evening stream discussing uh
00:00:30.020 a happening uh a slight snafu and uh the golden age that we might have experienced joining me to
00:00:37.480 discuss that is matthew williams thanks for joining me man thanks for having me on or and
00:00:41.740 it's always a pleasure so um things didn't go well last night uh if you're a fan of this channel
00:00:51.800 you might have been more prepared for that than some uh we were watching a lot of republicans
00:00:58.280 a lot of pundits go out there and tell people it's going to be fine it's not going to be a big
00:01:04.380 deal you know you always lose the midterm elections maybe the house will lose the house
00:01:10.780 but we're going to hold on to the senate it'll be fine ultimately the pollsters have gotten all of
00:01:15.240 this wrong they've gotten it all wrong before i wanted to believe that i wanted to believe
00:01:18.900 because ultimately no matter how much i believe that the iran war is a history defining political
00:01:26.080 debacle uh ultimately i wanted to believe that republicans could pull it out because i know i
00:01:31.320 know what it means for the democrats to be in charge i don't wish that on anyone i've never
00:01:35.520 told anyone to vote for a democrat i never told anyone to stay home because despite everything i
00:01:40.880 felt about what was going on with our foreign policy i knew the consequences of losing this
00:01:46.480 election and so there was this narrative that ultimately it wasn't going to be a big deal
00:01:51.900 the iran war you know we were going to get in we were going to get out it wasn't going to be a
00:01:56.180 big factor if we did stick around people weren't going to care i mean maybe we needed to get out
00:02:01.740 a few months before the election so gas prices could go back down but ultimately you know no
00:02:05.780 one's going to elect a socialist a communist a muslim sympathizer a fan of the muslim brotherhood
00:02:12.460 just because Donald Trump decided to start a war in the Middle East and drive up gas prices.
00:02:18.420 And it turns out, actually, that's exactly what people will do.
00:02:21.860 And we kind of all knew that's what people were going to do.
00:02:25.540 Everybody, again, in the sound of my voice who has heard me talk about this,
00:02:29.220 heard me warned incessantly, repeatedly, exhaustively about how disastrous this election was going to be
00:02:37.780 if we did not stop doing what we're doing.
00:02:40.280 and so all the people who told you that the war didn't matter and you were a panic and you were
00:02:46.740 trooning out you were ultimately doubting the plan because you didn't see how this disastrous
00:02:53.220 poisonous betrayal in foreign policy was going to ultimately affect the midterms
00:02:59.280 they were wrong and it turns out everybody who warned you was right now i don't take any pleasure
00:03:06.160 in that because it turns out i actually love my country more than i care about being right i wish
00:03:09.900 I was desperately wrong. I wish I was so wrong that today I had to get on this stream and
00:03:15.240 apologize for how stupid and ignorant I was. But that's not what happened. It wasn't even
00:03:21.460 close to what happened. And so now I have to turn to Matthew and ask him the same question
00:03:26.220 I always have to ask him. Matthew, were you surprised at the most obvious and predictable
00:03:31.240 loss in American political history? I was surprised to the degree in which the election
00:03:37.880 results uh played out the way that they did i had a much more conservative uh assumption i i thought
00:03:44.320 that you know that there's going to be a very narrow uh house loss because we've sent a lot
00:03:50.300 of redistricting and uh the polling i was looking at you know we only have x number of seats in the
00:03:55.600 entire country that are remotely competitive just because of how things are uh districted drawn out
00:04:01.160 and gerrymandered and i thought really and then the senate will probably lose but maybe it won't
00:04:05.540 be as bad. Maybe Vance gets to play the VP role. And one, I was wrong. It was much worse than I
00:04:11.900 thought it was going to be. And two, I did not expect the entirety of my state government in
00:04:18.920 the state of Texas to go Democrat. There is not a single statewide office in the state of Texas
00:04:25.460 that is going to be controlled by Republicans next year. And the only thing that Republicans
00:04:30.600 have to hold on to in Texas, you know, this great sort of what was always seen as this red state
00:04:34.960 will work, is just the Texas State Senate. And that's about it. So after 30 years of Republican
00:04:42.500 control, of course, you know, it's the same thing that we've sort of talked about in the past with
00:04:46.820 the conservatives in the United Kingdom. You know, you've been in charge for decades, and Texas only
00:04:51.980 got more and more progressive and less likely to vote for you in the future. And before anyone
00:04:57.440 really wants to complain, here is my I Voted sticker. I did fill out a little Scantron that
00:05:01.800 was straight ticket republican i voted for every single one of them uh in the vain hope that you
00:05:05.900 know some of these guys might win office including uh beau french who i had championed as sort of the
00:05:10.260 uh one republican candidate in texas who knew what time it was and i could tell that things
00:05:14.840 were a little desperate when greg abbott of all people um wheeled onto a podcast and said that
00:05:20.440 his opponent would take away jobs and make the life of white men harder and i'm like oh this
00:05:25.240 is a hail mary pass to get people to vote for him and that was a little concerning uh you and i had
00:05:31.200 dinner in dallas on monday and we you and i both were not particularly optimistic either but i
00:05:37.040 didn't think it was going to be to the degree that it was so i am surprised i know i don't say that
00:05:42.340 very often when i'm on your program but uh it was rough and then to see the coalition that got trump
00:05:49.580 elected and to get republicans a popular vote victory which they had not seen in 20 years since
00:05:54.940 2004 um to break apart the way that it did and to see the exit polling talk about the wars and
00:06:03.200 the economy and corruption uh you know corruption of course i think being heavily tied to some of
00:06:09.560 the pr issues that this administration may have had earlier um so yeah i i'm i'm now kind of
00:06:15.660 reeling with the fact that i'm not i'm not going to be dealing i'm going to turn into a blue state
00:06:19.240 conservative which means i'm only going to get more radical because that's really how it is when
00:06:22.640 I talked to my California friends on the right, they're far more extreme than I am. So I guess I
00:06:25.780 get to join them as Texas becomes a blue state. Yeah, I was going to save this for later. But
00:06:30.740 since you are a native Texan, we need to, I guess, talk about the fact that Donald Trump did achieve
00:06:36.880 regime change in a major oil producing state. Unfortunately, that state was Texas. So it's an
00:06:45.880 incredible result to watch. I'm new to Texas. I had never been there before I had been hired by
00:06:51.020 the blaze it's headquartered there so i'm now in texas frequently i was shocked to see the level
00:06:58.280 of foreign infiltration into texas the transformation there uh it looks like uh either
00:07:04.440 little mumbai or you know uh little pakistan depending on what section you're in uh but the
00:07:11.060 cultural transformation of texas has been shocking and severe there's a tale of two things going on
00:07:18.620 in texas there uh ultimately the population in texas has been transformed demographically
00:07:24.020 uh you look at the addition of hispanics muslims and indians into texas all groups that vote
00:07:32.560 democrat very reliably the hispanics less so you know they've been a little more swingy uh but
00:07:38.340 clearly muslims are a monolithic vote uh and indians are you know roughly 70 percent uh voting
00:07:44.560 democrat and so it's not terribly surprising that eventually that demographic transformation would
00:07:51.820 bear fruit uh i i put it this way to someone uh jesse kelly actually who's now part of the blaze
00:07:58.100 congratulations jesse love that guy now part of the blaze uh jesse said i didn't you know he's a
00:08:03.820 texan as well he said you know ultimately i i knew things were bad but i didn't know how bad
00:08:09.280 they had become and i compared it to you know you have that water table and it's it's right there
00:08:15.620 but then all of a sudden the heavy rain comes the monsoon comes and you get the flood and it's one
00:08:20.340 of those moments where yes you still saw texas capable of becoming red and voting red multiple
00:08:27.920 times but it was always building in the background this you know this water table the level was
00:08:33.460 rising over and over again of foreign voters who are ultimately going to support Democrats.
00:08:38.920 And now that this general blue wave, which I'm sure we'll talk about nationwide, was coming,
00:08:44.320 that washed over Texas and completely transformed it. A couple key things here. First, most people
00:08:50.200 were worried about the Paxton-Tallarico race. A lot of people recognized that Paxton wasn't
00:08:56.720 the strongest candidate, despite having a good record as AG, had a lot of personal issues,
00:09:01.320 uh we know had had some issues that ultimately repulsed some some voters uh but i think overall
00:09:07.160 could have won in a different year uh but then you had a a candidate that should have been a week
00:09:12.520 talarico was a freak a you know complete pervert who's talking about the joy of transing children
00:09:20.540 and all of these things uh you know a guy whose hard drive would usually get him sent to maximum
00:09:25.800 security somewhere and ultimately the fact that this guy could be a challenger was not a good
00:09:31.400 sign but then people started to worry about races that were further down and and felt more secure
00:09:39.020 when people as you say started saying well maybe greg abbott's actually vulnerable a lot of people
00:09:44.820 said well that that seems impossible i mean ultimately and no actually got trounced on top
00:09:51.140 of this guys like beau french who i think was as you say was was a great candidate i've had him on
00:09:57.060 the show met him seems like a fantastic guy he was he ended up losing by i believe double digits
00:10:02.940 and it's funny because a lot of people pointed to him and say oh well it's because he you know
00:10:08.760 sent that tweet out about indians in texas and well first that's a terrible thing that you're
00:10:13.860 admitting that indians basically control the vote in texas and ultimately you have to wrap your
00:10:19.040 politics around this foreign diaspora but even when you look at the results that's not true
00:10:24.680 because when you look at the results he got more votes than ken paxton did so so automatically he's
00:10:32.340 outperforming a major senatorial candidate but on top of that you look at the margins and he got
00:10:38.540 roughly the same margins as greg abbott did who runs around you know kissing the butt of every
00:10:44.000 indian he can find goes to india to beg for them to send you know 100 000 more every year to texas
00:10:50.200 so that they can completely swallow the state so obviously pending pandering to indians did not
00:10:55.220 do anything here and so you have a really serious problem because not only has texas now
00:11:01.060 been transformed but you have to ask the question was this a one-time event or is texas now a blue
00:11:06.460 state and if texas is a blue state does the gop have any real path to victory like ultimately does
00:11:13.820 the gop have any way they can win national elections if a state like texas that was
00:11:19.220 crucial to counterbalancing places like california new york like is there any path forward for the
00:11:25.060 gop if texas is ultimately now locked down both demographically and politically as a blue state
00:11:31.820 i don't have an answer to that question uh i think that based off of who stayed home which
00:11:39.340 was primarily republicans uh a lot of christians a lot of churchgoers and the swing of young men
00:11:46.200 ages 18 to 29 uh who went overwhelmingly for trump in the uh 2024 election and then swung
00:11:53.940 vastly in the other direction i think it was like d plus 11 was one of the one of the exit polls i
00:11:58.620 saw for 18 to 29 uh white men um you know it raises some interesting questions it raises that
00:12:05.460 very real concern because my my biggest fear is that of course you know the texas senate republicans
00:12:11.220 cave and they uh allow the transformation of the state to happen and of course that means maricopa
00:12:17.100 county style elections in uh you know the rest of the state which worries me but also that you know
00:12:22.400 this is the demography has come home to roost you know you and jesse kelly had pointed that out and
00:12:27.300 i think everyone in texas who has been sounding the alarm myself included uh are very aware of
00:12:33.040 this i have told everyone from you to jenna ellis to anyone who's willing to listen to me uh like
00:12:38.320 this is a real concern um and that yeah unfortunately i think the one person that was
00:12:43.220 sounding the alarm bells on the national level about you know the friendliness to socialism the
00:12:48.220 people who are more concerned about the economy and are willing to not look at these national
00:12:51.940 issues but look immediately in front of them unfortunately got killed by leftists over a year
00:12:55.440 ago now and that makes me even more frustrated because he was correct um of how young people
00:13:00.080 or courting socialism or whatever concerns that we want to have. But also at the same time,
00:13:05.400 there was no positive message that was being put out by Texas Republicans at all. The only person
00:13:11.600 who even remotely tried, of course, was Beau French. And he's running for basically the guy
00:13:17.260 who was in charge of oil and natural gas. He's not in charge of the state in terms of the
00:13:21.300 governorship. He's not going to be the attorney general. He's the guy that runs the oil and gas
00:13:24.960 industry, or he would have been had he been elected. And it's frustrating because that was
00:13:29.380 the only guy that you know had a remote understanding of maybe where younger men were
00:13:33.100 and then he wanted to speak for them and i think that he did better with younger men
00:13:36.300 ages 18 to 29 um than i think any other texas republican and on a statewide ballot uh here in
00:13:41.980 the state and for anyone talking about candidate quality because we heard that in 2022 we heard
00:13:46.940 that in 2018 um and we've already heard it today that uh you know like you had mentioned he got
00:13:52.100 the same raw vote totals as greg abbott and he got more than ken paxton did across the state
00:13:57.480 uh so it's not that he was too extreme or too harsh um yes a lot of people stayed home a lot
00:14:02.820 of people didn't feel the need to to send a message and uh people who decided to vote democrat
00:14:07.060 uh were formerly part of the trump coalition in 24 and also had just decided that they're going
00:14:12.020 to vote like this is a presidential election because the things that made this the the trump
00:14:16.300 administration effective cracking down on fraud deporting illegal immigrants and you know basically
00:14:22.340 trying to take the money spigot away from the left on all fronts uh they you know that hurt them and
00:14:28.120 they they came out and they they bit hard uh the rio grande valley which for the last several
00:14:32.240 election cycles was turning red and had done well in presidential cycles flipped back to blue
00:14:37.660 primarily on economic issues as well as of course their own ethnic self-interest on the issue of
00:14:42.020 immigration um which of course that doesn't really surprise anyone but that goes just to show the
00:14:46.240 demographics and democracy it's all about head counts and who shows up to vote uh and of course
00:14:51.000 you know since 2022 the last time the governor abbott was up for a re-election uh two million
00:14:56.320 people have come into the state since then um and of course the ongoing issue of birthright citizenship
00:15:01.540 and those that are going to vote for their own interests are all present so yeah i mean there
00:15:05.940 raises some interesting questions about the future but i think it really goes to show that
00:15:09.620 uh the leadership uh both statewide and nationwide uh for republicans i think has fundamentally failed
00:15:15.960 the coalition that they were awarded in a landslide victory just two years ago.
00:15:21.640 And that's the other part of the story, right? Because demographics matter. It's a huge aspect.
00:15:27.380 I'm not underplaying this at all. But also, Texas went Republican just a few years ago.
00:15:32.940 So as much as the demographics are shifting in Texas, you can't blame them entirely for what's
00:15:40.460 going on and we saw this nationwide the idea that it was just candidate quality or even just
00:15:47.040 demographics you can't single it out because again we saw this performance in state and state
00:15:53.180 i'm very lucky in florida we took relatively small amounts of damage all the major races like
00:15:58.000 governor and senate held in florida though uh in a disastrous move of course the republicans
00:16:04.720 rushed to redistrict all over because they thought that was going to be to their advantage and for
00:16:09.280 once you know they actually use power but ultimately the problem with redistricting is that
00:16:14.120 you want to draw districts that are easier for you to win in a normal election cycle however
00:16:19.140 if you draw them narrowly in favor of republicans and then you have a disastrous election cycle
00:16:26.020 what you really did was create democratic districts and that's what we did in florida
00:16:30.120 we created basically three new democratic districts because republicans were so unpopular
00:16:35.000 but people didn't even care about the issues or what was going on they just checked the other guy
00:16:40.680 and that's really what we saw across the board uh when you look at the wins the democrats secured
00:16:47.760 it's incredible uh we saw the first democrat to be elected to senate from the state of kansas
00:16:56.240 since 1932 since fdr that's the last time we saw a democrat get elected into the senate from kansas
00:17:07.580 and they did that last night that's not something that happens just because you know you had some
00:17:15.000 bad candidates somewhere there's no story that tells you you know you could try to blame ken
00:17:20.600 paxton or something but you're not going to be able to blame the kansas loss on that it was a
00:17:26.960 absolute slaughter across the board just incredible losses all over the place in a way that can only
00:17:33.940 in any sane world be chalked up to the fact that people were so disgusted with the way things were
00:17:41.480 going that they were willing to vote for literally anyone and everyone who wasn't associated with what
00:17:48.200 was going on and so we saw a moment where the chickens came home to roost now obviously we've
00:17:56.900 seen a lot of narrative spinning again you and i have both talked about this previously a lot of
00:18:01.760 groundwork has been laid because everyone no don't let them lie to you everyone knew bad things were
00:18:08.060 coming it was only a question of hedging bets and so a lot of people who went out there and supported
00:18:14.760 the war or attacked people about pointing out the problems with the war then turned around and said
00:18:20.800 you know what actually uh we're gonna be fine we're gonna be okay don't worry too much about
00:18:26.040 it it's not gonna impact anything but they they knew it was coming and so they started to build
00:18:30.740 this narrative oh well you see it's uh it's it's the tariffs or uh it's the podcasters it's it's
00:18:38.780 the black pillars they went out there or or maybe you know some other random policy that we've
00:18:44.660 decided on we saw people like ben shapiro run out and lie to their audience today ben shapiro lied
00:18:49.880 directly to his audience and said oh yeah it's not it's not the war that that has nothing to do with
00:18:54.420 it major commentators of course mark levin all the usual usual suspects all the people who are
00:18:59.300 directly responsible for this kind of thing the people who went ran out there and said you're
00:19:03.920 panicking you're betraying the president by not supporting the war we saw this over and over again
00:19:10.780 and now that the you know again the consequences of their war have come home to roost it's everybody
00:19:17.940 else's fault tucker carlson did this candace owens did this again feel however you want about those
00:19:22.760 people there are bad actions involved but ultimately these people were blaming anything
00:19:29.580 and everything but the obvious truth the war was deeply deeply unpopular a lot of people thought it
00:19:36.540 was a betrayal and in case you don't think that a lot of republicans saw it as betrayal look at
00:19:42.320 the numbers okay you don't win or rather you don't lose a midterm at this epic proportion
00:19:48.100 just because you lost the moderates the independents that's what everybody was focused on
00:19:53.940 you lose a election by this percentage because ultimately your guys voted for someone else
00:20:02.500 it wasn't just the moderates it wasn't just the new pieces of the coalition
00:20:06.580 hardcore republicans voted for democrats that's how bad the environment was that's how much they
00:20:13.360 rejected the war but the narrative we're getting is like ultimately no that was not the problem
00:20:19.920 people were angry about the economy but it's not due to the war it's not due to the high gas prices
00:20:25.000 and that's insane because molly hemingway recently posted a chart showing i think it was from forbes
00:20:32.500 That Donald Trump's approval rating basically mapped exactly onto gas prices.
00:20:39.120 It was an inverse correlation.
00:20:40.920 Every time gas prices went up slightly, his approval went down slightly.
00:20:45.740 Every time they went down a lot, his approval went up a lot.
00:20:49.020 It was almost exactly pegged to what was going on there.
00:20:52.840 So you don't have to be a political genius.
00:20:55.300 You don't have to be some kind of, you know, just incredibly gifted theoretician or statistician to understand what happened to you.
00:21:04.220 Every time Donald Trump was responsible for the cost of living going up due to the prices that were inflicted by the war, people responded directly.
00:21:14.560 And now we have to hear from all of these people who got everything they wanted, everything they wanted out of Trump, that he was a failure ultimately.
00:21:22.640 Ben Shapiro is on a show today talking about how Trump failed and it's his fault even though
00:21:28.660 Trump gave Ben exactly what he wanted which is this war in the Middle East
00:21:32.760 and so now we have to have this whole debate but the beauty the beauty of the debate is that it
00:21:37.480 got solved pretty quickly because while all of these podcasters and all of these neocons and
00:21:42.640 all of these establishment people ran out to say oh it's not the war it's just some other thing
00:21:46.900 the vice president jd vance came out and said yeah it was the war we lost because of the war
00:21:53.260 and i think it's a fascinating move because there's only two explanations to what's going on
00:21:58.200 with vance in that moment either a he got approval from the president to run out and say
00:22:03.940 yeah this is why we lost or b he didn't and that's far more fascinating but either way jd
00:22:10.440 vance listed like four things as to why we lost the midterms one the war two affordability three
00:22:19.200 not putting america first and four our relationship with israel and again four is very fascinating
00:22:26.200 the jd vance went out and put a public post out the next day saying we have to change our
00:22:31.800 relationship with israel right now and donald trump knew that too because donald trump went
00:22:36.180 out the day of the election and said by the way we're cutting aid to israel which is not happening
00:22:41.200 by the way we're going to cut aid to israel the day of the war or the day of the midterms because
00:22:46.680 he knew how unpopular war was and he knew how poisonous the relationship with israel was with
00:22:51.980 the voting public so when you see that dynamic when you see a guy like jd vance run out there
00:22:57.180 and say we're taking accountability for this and this is why we lost and don't listen to anybody
00:23:01.500 else tell you it was the deportations or anything else which again i think is very fascinating
00:23:05.900 because i think he knew that's what the neocons wanted to do they wanted to run out and say it
00:23:10.100 wasn't the war it was ice it was deportations we have to stop the deportations but we can keep
00:23:14.360 fighting in the middle east he immediately went out and just chopped that narrative off at the
00:23:18.780 ankles what do you think about the fact that the vice president just came right out and said it
00:23:23.260 well i mean he was the only one that i think had a sober take and i mean it's a long post on on
00:23:29.460 twitter i'm sure that he's put it out elsewhere uh you can go read it for yourself i would highly
00:23:33.420 recommend it those those four things i do think very much highlight uh the last you know nine
00:23:38.320 what we're in november now so the last you know 10 months more or less of what has been happening
00:23:44.100 on the national stage but also just internationally um foreign policy and how it comes to affect
00:23:50.340 the home front is always what brings people really to vote out of frustration or anger or to rebuke
00:23:56.300 the policy um i had jokingly said to some friends on a call last night i said happy new year 2006
00:24:01.920 because, of course, that was a major blowout election for Democrats in the midst of Bush's
00:24:07.420 second term, which was largely seen as a referendum on the war in Iraq, as well as the
00:24:13.340 handling of certain crises at home. Of course, for Bush, that was things like Hurricane Katrina.
00:24:18.380 There was questions of legislative priority and corruption. The same thing, of course,
00:24:23.120 was front and center in a lot of the exit polling and the discussions over everything on the
00:24:28.440 elections like every advertisement i saw uh both on the political front especially from like the
00:24:33.020 tallarico camp was focused on corruption uh affordability and making sure that you were
00:24:38.660 aware that uh some of these you know prescient sort of not in my backyard issues uh were front
00:24:43.960 and center specifically data centers um which almost every data center moratorium passed last
00:24:49.480 night with the exception of think one um so i think it's like 42 out of 43 um correct me if i'm wrong
00:24:56.340 But like, that's kind of what I was seeing there was sort of this repeat of 2006, except, you know, we don't even have the electorate or demographics of 2006. So the crawl back to victory will be a little bit harder, of course, going on in the future.
00:25:08.200 As for what J.D. Vance had said, I agree with it largely that the war is what cost us. Here are the things that we need to address because, again, there was a lot of things that the vice president was spearheading throughout this entire election cycle and throughout this entire year that was incredibly good.
00:25:27.540 And it should have been, I think, more front and center in the messaging and the focus from both the national Republicans on their sort of campaign strategies, like the NRSC, as well as on the state level, which was the fraud task force.
00:25:39.820 And in fact, my words are available to read from the Epoch Times, because Nathan Worcester interviewed me asking about messaging, you know, that they could focus on that and tell the American taxpayer, the ones that typically vote Republican anyway, that this is how much work we've been putting in to stop you from being, you know, nickel and dimed by the third world.
00:26:00.940 But that message didn't really emerge anywhere.
00:26:02.760 And that's a great victory from the executive branch.
00:26:05.380 um and again you know even people who are not you know online right personalities like myself
00:26:11.340 uh have pointed out that of course you know it's it's the economy stupid it's the price of gas
00:26:15.440 it's how people are viewing things inflation is very high um and that was like the number one
00:26:19.180 issue of course was the war and the economy cost of living um you know being the trump voters who
00:26:24.320 voted for them in 24 who are now disapproving of him um that comes from echelon insights you know
00:26:28.580 i i can't afford to live high inflation um you know this on again off again situation was concerning
00:26:33.520 overall i think that it was good for the vice president to take some accountability i know
00:26:38.160 that president trump had said that you know that what he had said was good and that uh you know
00:26:42.820 people who aren't like you and i had pointed it out i mean even maling hemingway and megan bacham
00:26:48.020 you know had pointed out like there is a direct correlation between trump's approval rating as
00:26:52.500 well as the price of gas in the united states and how his approval rating had sunk and i think
00:26:57.080 overall on all sides of this issue uh regardless of how you voted or if you didn't you know if you
00:27:02.220 state home that uh everyone can kind of tell that you know the priority wasn't at home foreign
00:27:07.540 policy begins at home that's the one thing that richard haas former president of the council of
00:27:12.480 foreign relations who used to work in the bush administration was correct about was that foreign
00:27:15.840 policy begins at home if you're not focusing on unleashing energy if you're not focusing on the
00:27:21.220 ways in which we can be uh more redundant in our supply chains and ways in which we can fix the
00:27:25.980 economy then it's going to be very hard to project power abroad and when you focus on projecting
00:27:29.400 power abroad things are going to suffer at home and unfortunately we we saw not a shellacking not
00:27:34.420 a not a slap on the wrist no we saw a punch to the face and unfortunately uh that's the price
00:27:39.620 that we're now going to have to live with but yeah the vice president was correct in all four
00:27:43.220 of those statements the messaging going into the election was to say the least a unmitigated
00:27:51.940 disaster um obviously the war was deeply unpopular everyone knew that i don't think anyone was you
00:27:59.940 know no matter what they lie to you about no one you know ultimately believed otherwise uh but the
00:28:05.620 messaging going into the midterms was just embarrassing it was a level of political
00:28:11.100 malpractice that might be studied for generations uh so first we had a lot of people uh running out
00:28:19.040 to insult average americans for not being able to afford things of course we all know about the
00:28:24.900 20 burrito debate which is of course not a debate over burritos but a proxy for the cost of living
00:28:30.420 the fact that the average person couldn't buy a home or fill their gas tank or you know have kids
00:28:36.260 uh you know felt the squeeze in every aspect of their life and they were told repeatedly that
00:28:41.980 they were lazy and stupid and entitled, which was insane. Of course, we saw things like the
00:28:48.680 Huckabee Sanders ad insulting white men, calling them welfare queens when everyone knows that
00:28:54.800 demographically they are by far the least likely people to engage in defrauding welfare. We had
00:29:03.820 all kinds of incredible statements like, you care more about your gas prices than you do
00:29:11.660 Israel, which is like, yeah, yes, actually, I do care more about what I'm paying day to day
00:29:18.440 for my gas than I care about the current condition of a foreign nation. We had a lot of people who
00:29:25.140 were saying, oh, well, if you care about gas prices more than voting in communism,
00:29:29.520 you're the problem. Now, don't get me wrong. I told everybody they should vote Republican.
00:29:34.760 I told everybody don't vote for Democrats. Don't stay home. I think that's the bad reaction of
00:29:39.720 was happening there for no other reason the democrats have told you exactly what they're
00:29:42.780 going to do with your country once they get a hold of it but the messaging from someone telling me
00:29:48.740 well i know that we voluntarily caused your gas prices to explode but if you're against that you're
00:29:56.080 a communist who betrayed america that that literally does make me then want to vote for
00:30:00.660 someone else like i didn't i voted for republicans i told everybody else to vote for them but that
00:30:04.840 kind of language is so condescending it has so much of the well just go eat cake about it that
00:30:13.140 it's almost impossible not to reflexively despise the people who are spewing that out even if you
00:30:19.680 understand the consequences for voting for the other guy and i think that's how you get a bunch
00:30:24.640 of republicans ultimately crossing the line to send a message and the message is uh actually
00:30:30.700 I do care more about my country than I do your current little incredibly
00:30:35.980 useless foreign adventure.
00:30:38.640 And the fact that you're going to insult me,
00:30:40.520 you're going to look at me in the eye and say,
00:30:42.240 Oh,
00:30:42.400 well,
00:30:42.680 ultimately your life doesn't matter.
00:30:45.120 Your hardship doesn't matter.
00:30:46.960 What is bothering you does not matter because I have some design on foreign
00:30:52.280 policy that benefits some other foreign actor.
00:30:55.700 And that's going to be way more important than what's happening to you.
00:30:58.900 Like that,
00:30:59.700 that,
00:31:00.700 I don't even know how you can summon that over and over again, mocking people for not being
00:31:06.300 able to afford things. This is exactly what the Democrats did. This is exactly how they
00:31:11.380 treated the American people. This is how Joe Biden and his press secretary talked to Americans when
00:31:18.540 they were concerned about the cost of milk and eggs. And at the time, we told them this was
00:31:22.520 tone deaf and stupid. And then we adopted the exact same strategy and thought that that was
00:31:28.180 going to win somehow. And so the fact that the messaging was just such an incredible disaster at
00:31:34.760 every level and people were just told to shut up and sit down was insane. I think one of the really
00:31:41.360 important and notable things to talk about here was the media silo that was placed around
00:31:47.120 conservatives. How hard conservative media and influencers worked to tell people a lie about
00:31:54.600 what was going on here we had people like fox news running out there and saying 95 percent of
00:32:00.620 trump uh you know maga loyalists support the war well yeah of course that's like saying 95 percent
00:32:07.360 of christians believe in jesus but that is not a representative sample that actually gives you a
00:32:12.960 real understanding about how people feel about the war because trump just didn't win with boomers who
00:32:18.320 were watching fox news he won with a lot of independence he won with a lot of swing voters
00:32:22.520 he won with a broader coalition so when you tell all those people to go pound sand because you have
00:32:28.460 some agenda they don't care about they're going to believe you and do what you said and it was
00:32:35.000 very clear that there was a concerted effort to lie to conservatives about this about the popularity
00:32:40.260 of the war about the popularity of trump about how much this was hurting and so you had these
00:32:47.000 moments where people were shouting down anyone and everyone even people who were ultimately loyal to
00:32:52.080 Trump saying, Hey, I don't think that the war is that popular. And I think affordability is going
00:32:57.160 to be a big issue. Those people were called traitors. They were called panicans. They were
00:33:01.680 called truons, the irresponsible actors who were looking to censor the conservative sphere so that
00:33:08.060 you didn't know what was going on. And this is such a disastrous mistake because ultimately this
00:33:15.180 is what the Democrats did first with Biden. And then with Kamala Harris, they told everybody,
00:33:20.540 oh don't worry Biden's fine he's sharp as attack as smart as he's ever been the lights are all on
00:33:27.000 he's gonna wow you with his foreign policy knowledge I sit down and I just soak in all
00:33:31.560 this amazing knowledge from Joe Biden about what's going on in the world and then when it became clear
00:33:37.960 that he was just some checked out octogenarian who could barely function then they told you oh
00:33:44.400 kamala harris is brat if she likes spicy doritos she's a coconut lover and so she's going to be
00:33:51.720 this amazing candidate that just takes over social media and democrats bought all of it
00:33:57.240 they were told that if they didn't believe this they were themselves somehow a traitor to the
00:34:01.860 cause and so now we saw exactly the same strategy the republicans are like i saw that fail i want
00:34:08.200 some of that give me some of that delusion and so we had the you know the the whole emperor has
00:34:13.820 no clothes moment where we had to pretend that you just trust the plan and never say anything
00:34:19.380 because it's all going to be fine when they started pushing candidates like vivek ramaswamy
00:34:24.140 who lost in sterling fashion as you could have predicted from a mile away
00:34:30.080 they pushed all these humiliation rituals onto republicans and then you lost anyway
00:34:35.380 you want a perfect example of how to demoralize a base lie to them lie to them lie to them lie to
00:34:42.700 them and then when your lies fail blame them for your lies that's exactly what we saw and so this
00:34:50.720 like delusional world that was spun up so that conservatives could invest in the idea that they
00:34:56.300 were not going to get punished in this election is ridiculous everyone was hoping that the pollsters
00:35:01.160 were once again wrong and again they've been wrong so often i wanted to believe them but i
00:35:05.840 knew things were bad when people like rich barris who had actually gotten these elections that
00:35:11.440 otherwise were called poorly correct previously,
00:35:13.580 when he started to say we were in trouble,
00:35:15.540 no one would listen.
00:35:16.940 When guys like Christian Hines,
00:35:18.200 who is a super MAGA guy,
00:35:19.900 big Republican supporter,
00:35:21.640 but says, hey, I think we're in serious trouble.
00:35:23.840 Here's my map and it is really bleak.
00:35:26.660 He's called some panicking.
00:35:27.900 He's called some troon.
00:35:29.640 Like when you see people go out and do this
00:35:31.420 and try to just cut off any and all correction
00:35:34.680 about what's going on,
00:35:36.660 they're cultivating exactly the kind of disaster
00:35:38.940 we saw last night.
00:35:41.440 it's also important to consider just the lack of action on the agenda that was you know voted
00:35:49.980 into office in in 2024 i mean i get it congress is known for not doing anything and it's even
00:35:57.340 worse when you control functionally all three branches of government you have a relatively
00:36:01.300 conservative supreme court um that has given the pro-life movement the biggest victory in
00:36:07.000 since roe v wade happened uh over 50 years ago and at the same time uh you know i i know congress
00:36:13.760 doesn't do much but you know even representatives across the aisle have said that you know there's
00:36:18.640 some 900 to 600 bills that congress has taken action on in the house of representatives that
00:36:23.700 most of them are just sitting awaiting things to happen on the senate floor uh the save america
00:36:28.680 act of course prominent one that probably would have ensured a much stronger uh electoral position
00:36:33.560 for Republicans across the country
00:36:35.940 because it would have actually implemented
00:36:37.360 some election integrity laws
00:36:38.700 that desperately need to be enforced
00:36:40.320 because if the last several election cycles
00:36:42.600 have proved us anything,
00:36:44.120 the election machine go burr
00:36:45.660 and mostly Democratic counties
00:36:47.240 with no voter ID laws whatsoever.
00:36:49.560 And at the same time, they've got nothing.
00:36:52.280 And you had people like Tom Tillis
00:36:54.120 just have a little countdown on their phone
00:36:56.360 saying that they're so excited
00:36:58.220 to see the Republicans lose.
00:37:00.220 uh you saw staffers from the uh former bush administration you saw staffers from uh john
00:37:06.800 cornyn's office uh openly either indoors or work directly for james tallarico in texas so party
00:37:13.300 loyalty isn't a thing uh and again they wonder why they were voted out of office in the first place
00:37:17.880 or why people like myself voted for ken paxton because john cornyn has done nothing for texans
00:37:23.420 has done nothing for people like myself and had championed things like you know that the this is
00:37:28.360 the indian century and so of course they're going to you know they're going to suffer and then
00:37:32.360 they're going to spite themselves and you know be the traitors that they are openly so i guess if
00:37:36.540 you're like a mold buggy informalist then you know these results are great because you get to really
00:37:40.260 see who hates america and who hates you in particular and you know john cornyn's one of
00:37:44.280 them uh as is more or less the bush family so no surprises there um but overall yeah we're we're
00:37:50.500 in a media eco ecosystem that is very much a bubble that reinforces our our worst tendencies
00:37:55.800 and allows us to be cut off from what's right outside our window
00:37:59.000 or, you know, conversations with the average median voter.
00:38:02.000 But, you know, if you understood the politics of the average median voter,
00:38:05.420 you would be like a chimpanzee from The Onion
00:38:07.360 and you might go look at that noose a little lovingly.
00:38:09.680 So it's definitely, you know, the median voter politics are not great.
00:38:13.940 But at the same time, to tell Republicans,
00:38:15.920 to tell people that voted for Trump in 24,
00:38:17.660 or people like you and I who have voted for Trump three times,
00:38:20.700 that, you know, this is what we have to endure.
00:38:22.700 It's not a great way at motivating people to do so.
00:38:25.000 and it's also a really great way to get people fooled into thinking that things are a lot better
00:38:27.840 than they are. We thought the same thing in 2022, that there was going to be a red wave in the Biden
00:38:33.280 midterm election. That did not really come to pass. That did not come into fruition, unfortunately.
00:38:39.660 But we were really told online that was going to be the case. And that was under, that was,
00:38:44.200 you know, pre-Elon Twitter that, you know, we were going to have this great red wave and we were
00:38:48.860 going to take back the House and Senate in the ways that, you know, that we saw in 2018. That
00:38:52.360 did not happen either um both on the grounds of candidate quality in the sense that we were
00:38:56.260 running people that were not speaking to the the main issues or to the base and that at the same
00:39:00.660 time we thought that we were going to be fine and we didn't put the work in um and i mean this is
00:39:05.020 not to denigrate anyone who did get out the vote efforts there are countless guys that you and i
00:39:10.100 have both met personally that have networked or have had on our respective programs uh that go
00:39:14.840 do their darndest to go knock on doors and to get people out to vote and have played the game and
00:39:20.100 they played it as well as they possibly could under the circumstances that they had and republican
00:39:24.680 you know congressmen and those that just lost their jobs should be apologizing to people over
00:39:29.260 at turning point they should be apologizing to all of the the young under 30s republican and
00:39:34.140 conservative activists that have tried their damnedest to get these guys elected and to make
00:39:38.520 sure that we stave off um the literal rising tide of race communism in the united states uh because
00:39:44.540 they had to defend the worst play in some of the worst positions possible and my heart really goes
00:39:50.080 out to them because they tried their best and tried to swing things in a in a different direction
00:39:55.240 um and unfortunately this is the consequences that we have to deal with because again
00:39:58.880 it's very hard for you know us to look at sarah huckabee sanders's ad or even uh other you know
00:40:05.560 elected officials in congress and across the state tell me that it's it's the young men who
00:40:10.020 are the problem despite the fact that young men have had it the worst i think for the last year
00:40:14.620 most of the job growth so far has gone primarily to women um this of course isn't even accounting
00:40:19.920 all of the stuff under the biden administration which openly and happily cheered on the discrimination
00:40:23.720 of white men and so yeah they're going to turn to someone that's going to offer them a chance either
00:40:28.260 to burn it all down as rich barris has written about or you know they're going to you know just
00:40:32.880 say screw you i'm going to vote for the other guy or i'm going to stay home and i think that's really
00:40:36.480 what we had saw and so i i really do think that uh people like you know senator thune who wants
00:40:42.920 to run again as the republican minority leader despite the fact that he has done nothing and has
00:40:47.660 ensured that there is no legislative victories outside of the one big beautiful bill that trump
00:40:52.100 can champion himself on on passing uh yeah why why am i going to support someone that does nothing
00:40:57.200 for me and i think that's really the the frustration that comes from people like yourself
00:41:01.520 or me because at the same time like i i did my duty i voted straight ticket republican i did what
00:41:06.660 you know so many guys on social media have been pressuring the other people to do and i did it
00:41:10.500 because i knew that the other side wants me dead and wants people that look like me to not have any
00:41:14.720 power or a job or anything in this country or really anywhere in the world for that matter
00:41:18.660 and so what am i to do except endure it and that's exactly what we got to see and a lot of people
00:41:24.420 decided to stay home or not care and that's where we're at right now and unfortunately uh i don't
00:41:30.300 have the demographics of the 2006 electorate i don't have the demographics of the 1996 electorate
00:41:34.660 either uh that one voted for bill clinton so i'm i'm in a particularly tough spot and i hope that
00:41:39.780 the republican party learned something from this but if the 2012 election uh you know post-mortem
00:41:45.560 is any indication the republican party will not learn because they know that they need young white
00:41:50.060 men to vote for them but young white men uh don't go out and vote as often as they should
00:41:54.600 and they don't donate the big bucks so they're going to listen to the donor class they're going
00:41:58.160 to listen to the chamber of commerce they're going to listen to other um various political
00:42:01.380 action committees that will serve the interests of other people in other nations before the very
00:42:06.140 people that usually vote for them or that would like to vote for them because the one issue that
00:42:11.100 Republicans did succeed on, of course, was immigration, which benefited the base the most
00:42:15.340 and benefited young white men the most. And instead, we were forced to endure exactly what
00:42:19.900 we did. And my frustration, I have no words for it because I knew it was going to be bad. I didn't
00:42:25.500 think it was going to be this bad. And Republicans, I don't think are going to take the correct
00:42:29.520 lesson on it. And unfortunately, they're going to double down. And you have to hope then that
00:42:33.060 somewhere down the line, another guy from the outside is going to come down a different escalator
00:42:37.100 and tell Republicans that they're wrong and that they're stupid and that you should try a different
00:42:40.720 way. But I don't think you're going to find another, you know, random Donald Trump to go
00:42:44.900 down the escalator and do it again. Yeah. So let's talk about a couple things that you just
00:42:49.860 mentioned there because they're all very important. So first, it was very clear that the entire
00:42:55.320 campaign strategy of most Republicans was, well, the Democrats are crazy. Like that, that's it.
00:43:01.880 that's what they had they couldn't run on their accomplishments because there were none
00:43:05.340 the republicans were handed the house and the senate they did nothing with it they refused
00:43:10.300 to take out the filibuster to pass things like the save act they were not willing
00:43:14.920 to ultimately do anything important and so they had literally nothing to run on they had no
00:43:20.000 achievements so the only thing they could run on is the other guys are bad and as you say i would
00:43:25.040 never vote for the democrats because they want me dead but it turns out you can't really expect
00:43:30.100 every voter to have that outlook it turns out if you screw people over they will vote for the other
00:43:35.200 guy even if the other guy hates them because they just want to tell you screw you i did what i was
00:43:41.380 supposed to do and you didn't care and so it was very clear that that strategy was a failure just
00:43:46.800 yelling democrats were crazy is not enough and it doesn't really matter if you run around and say
00:43:55.140 oh well these guys back socialism don't you understand they're crazy muslims don't you get
00:43:59.400 it they're going to cut off your kids genitals yes people see all of that that worked the last
00:44:04.320 few election cycles but then they handed power to you and you did nothing about that you did
00:44:10.100 nothing and they noticed and they care and so telling them actually i know we did nothing but
00:44:17.720 keep us in power because the other guys are worse and by the way you're stupid you're entitled you
00:44:23.780 want dei for like white guys or something and so actually have you just thought about eating a bunch
00:44:28.800 of beans for the rest of your life and living in a, you know, shed as AI takes over your
00:44:33.820 jobs, like a lot of people, it turns out, don't like that message.
00:44:37.760 And so the fact that that was literally the only thing they had to say to anybody was
00:44:42.980 truly insane.
00:44:44.460 Now, the Trump administration had at least some wins under their belt.
00:44:48.540 They had successfully closed the border, which is a huge deal.
00:44:52.200 Deportations are far lower than most people wanted, but at least they're happening in
00:44:56.040 a way that they probably wouldn't if someone else was in charge.
00:44:58.800 And so the Trump administration had a few things that they could stack up, but ultimately all of
00:45:02.760 that was swallowed by the war. Gas prices, everything else. And so you just have this
00:45:07.740 moment where there was literally nothing to sell to the American people outside of Democrats or
00:45:12.380 worse. And it turns out you're going to need a much more compelling message. It turns out that
00:45:18.300 as stupid as democracy is, you still have to win elections unless you're planning to do some stuff
00:45:23.020 that I don't think you're ready to do. And so you're going to have to actually come up with a
00:45:26.940 narrative that tells people what you're going to be improving in their lives and what most people
00:45:33.080 got from the trump administration was okay yeah we've done some stuff on on immigration and that's
00:45:38.240 important but we're not going to really explain how that benefits you and by the way we're like
00:45:42.540 we're 100 behind this technology that you don't really like and these data centers that you don't
00:45:47.800 really like and if you don't want your job taken then you're just some some stupid luddite you're
00:45:52.640 probably an agent of China. And if you're complaining about gas prices, you're probably
00:45:56.500 a communist who's an anti-Semite. And, you know, if you're not willing to go to war in the Middle
00:46:02.100 East, then you're probably some Anakin, some traitor. And like, ultimately, I think people
00:46:06.780 just recognize, oh, I'm just being insulted by people who are asking for my vote. And it turns
00:46:12.040 out running around and, you know, just crapping on everybody who you're then demanding loyalty from
00:46:17.160 is a good way to ensure they don't show up. And so you can sit there as a general and blame all
00:46:22.220 of your troops and say, oh, well, they're the problem. But that's not really going to work.
00:46:27.240 It might make you feel better. You know, if you're sitting in the admin somewhere, say, well,
00:46:32.440 it's not us, it's everybody else. Or if you're a Republican congressman or senator saying, well,
00:46:37.980 I mean, you know, it's just all these irresponsible voters. That might be something you can sell in
00:46:42.820 the beltway. But if you ever want to win an election again, you're going to need a story
00:46:46.580 about how you're improving the lives of the people around you. And when your only answer is, well,
00:46:51.000 we're keeping the communists at bay for now okay well we've been hearing that story for a long time
00:46:57.300 and it's true it's true of course but it's not going to compel people and that's really what
00:47:01.640 we saw so for instance a lot has been made about the swing of young men right especially white
00:47:06.640 young men we saw the swings when it came to uh you know hispanic latino male voters they went in
00:47:13.660 favor of trump for the first time in a long time frankly i was surprised but it's it's also not
00:47:18.500 surprising that ultimately those people kind of came and went with the tide uh they were not
00:47:22.460 like strong voters you didn't have generations of loyalty built up with them so the minute you
00:47:27.600 weren't delivering exactly what they thought or maybe they looked at the ice raids and became a
00:47:31.260 little uncomfortable not surprising that those votes left but the big thing with for instance
00:47:36.160 the young white male vote was not so much that they all started voting democrat that if you look
00:47:40.940 at the results that's not what happened what happened was all the conservative young men
00:47:45.220 they stayed home all the conservative white young men they didn't show up to the polls
00:47:50.480 it's not that they voted democrat it's that they just didn't show up and so yeah we saw a lot of
00:47:57.080 trump voters cross the line and vote for democrats but in many cases you just demoralized your own
00:48:02.900 voters by telling them you had no real message nothing to sell them you were done in any way
00:48:08.500 anything you've done for them is already done and now they need to get on board with the war or gas
00:48:14.220 prices or whatever if they weren't communists and that they just said you know what i'm not showing
00:48:19.380 up and again you can say well they chose poorly that that was the wrong decision fine but guess
00:48:24.940 what you know ultimately that doesn't win you any elections all that cope all that justification for
00:48:31.380 your terrible messaging and terrible strategy and entitled behavior that doesn't change the results
00:48:37.680 on the ground so you can run around and blame those people and i'm sure they will i've already
00:48:42.160 seen it but if you actually want to win them again you're going to need a vision it's very
00:48:47.100 clear right now the GOP has no vision the only group they won consistently this election was
00:48:54.260 Fox News watching boomers the people they were already going to win anyway and if that's the
00:48:59.020 entirety of her messaging strategy well congratulations you won that vote which
00:49:03.060 you were already going to have anyway and you lost everybody else yeah and I think this is where
00:49:09.900 you know when we talk about the breakdown or whatnot i i do think that a lot of people who
00:49:13.780 were told you know just to take it uh the attitude i heard from a lot or the tone that i got from a
00:49:18.960 lot of them and i don't want to say this is tone policing or whatever but like messaging matters
00:49:22.100 in an election uh obviously you can have some very big pr snafus as we've recently seen
00:49:26.940 uh the idea that uh you know someone who has the the great christmas crash out which i think you
00:49:32.880 and i talked about two years ago uh on on this show about vivek ramaswamy complaining about you
00:49:38.520 know uh american culture and how awful it is and saved by the bell uh to then be um you know running
00:49:44.780 for governor where it was a was a mistake and if anything i owe jeremy carl an apology and so i'm
00:49:49.660 gonna make it on air jeremy i'm sorry because you were right by saying that we should have just
00:49:53.440 appointed him in the senate and let it be uh to fill out jd vance's term because unfortunately
00:49:59.220 the the him running for governor was a terrible idea and after you know he had lost and he had
00:50:04.380 made his uh call which i'm sure on caller id said probable spam uh on amy acton's phone uh you know
00:50:10.800 he had said that you know my generation's fine we're gonna be okay i'm sorry that's screw you i
00:50:16.520 got mine language and i hear that way too often from pundits the political class those that walk
00:50:24.740 around like scheming eunuchs in some ancient chinese court uh you know saying that they're
00:50:30.360 going to cling to power and that's all that they're going to do uh and unfortunately that
00:50:34.280 seems to be a lot of the political consultant class uh for me you know for republicans all over
00:50:38.560 um and in fact you know earlier you know it's the small silver lining is that i get to see people
00:50:43.480 like vivek you know eat it and that republicans like mike uh carey who uh you know was very mad
00:50:49.760 that uh trump ended the temporary protective status for haitians um i know that uh ryan
00:50:54.640 gurdusky was doing some reporting on this earlier saying that republicans said you know if uh he was
00:50:59.180 upset that he lost. He should have found some Haitians to go vote for him. And so like, yes,
00:51:03.500 it is nice to see these people get whacked. Unfortunately, it comes at the cost of,
00:51:08.180 you know, Hakeem Jeffries probably being Speaker of the House and watching foreigners,
00:51:13.900 congressmen who are literal anchor babies, tell me that I need to lawyer up or that the Trump
00:51:18.960 administration needs to lawyer up and that it's going to be two more years of subpoenas and
00:51:22.900 elections, just like we saw from 2018 to 2020. And so I'm incredibly frustrated. Yeah,
00:51:29.080 it's nice to see some of the the worst people i know lose and eat dirt as they crash and fail
00:51:34.440 only for them to be like the the bicyclist meme who puts the the plank between the the spokes and
00:51:39.740 wonders why it's so awful uh they're blaming people like me they're blaming people like you
00:51:43.500 um whether it's uh quote-unquote podcasters or or pollsters like rich barris and mark mitchell like
00:51:48.920 sure they may have said some things you don't like but was the data accurate and as he had
00:51:52.620 said on piers morgan just you know prior to the election it was going to be a bloodbath and it
00:51:55.720 certainly was. And so I have no reason to be happy that this is happening. It's gotten so bad that
00:52:02.400 even Ted Cruz is talking about the cost of living right before you and I went live, saying that
00:52:08.240 people are using buy now, pay later to use groceries. We have sold more spam in the last
00:52:13.480 couple of years than we did throughout the entirety of World War II. And I think he knows
00:52:17.520 that it's in trouble because he narrowly won re-election against Beto O'Rourke. And it's
00:52:23.880 probably going to be even harder for him if he wants to have a career in the United States Senate
00:52:27.460 come the next time he's up for re-election. And I think he knows that, despite the fact that he
00:52:32.600 has probably been, you know, a staunch, you know, interventionist. He's been very much for the war
00:52:38.220 and that, you know, to listen to other, you know, conservative commentators and pundits get their
00:52:42.560 orders out saying, you know, he lost because he didn't, you know, win the war or fight it hard
00:52:46.920 enough or that, you know, we're more concerned about gas prices than anything else. Americans
00:52:51.660 vote based on their wallet we most of the time always have it's the reason why uh herbert hoover
00:52:56.960 and the republicans got destroyed generationally uh during the the great depression in the 1930s
00:53:01.880 and again that was the last time that a candidate uh for a democrat for from kansas got to hold the
00:53:07.780 seat in office in kansas so you know it's been nearly 100 years and that's how bad it's been
00:53:12.740 and of course america was like a 95 percent white country uh during the time of fdr and so to now
00:53:18.540 have multi-ethnic, multicultural, multi-religious democracy here in the United States to where
00:53:23.540 there is now a Mohammedan, both in the Senate and in charge of one of the most important cities on
00:53:28.420 earth. You know, we have our own Sadiq Khan at home. His name is Zoran Mamdani. And that's where
00:53:32.680 we're at. And I'm not saying this to be a doomer or to black pill you, but it is clearly to show
00:53:37.760 that the Republican establishment does not care because they have their money. They will tell you,
00:53:43.180 screw you i've got mine and you know you should go work at panda express or that you should you
00:53:48.900 know get a gig economy job and try and make it work which of course are very difficult for you
00:53:54.360 to find a to find a wife uh because of course the economy matters and the government's doing a
00:53:59.200 better job at supporting women than you know men traditionally are and at the same time uh we're
00:54:05.360 witnessing of course just the uh screw you white guy uh i'm going to take your job and take
00:54:10.700 everything from you become the dominant message amongst democrats who are not white which democrats
00:54:15.540 have not won the majority of white voters since jimmy carter so it has been an open quiet game of
00:54:21.460 demographics and racial replacement for dems for the last 50 years and that's coming home to roost
00:54:27.100 and that is coming out to play the exact way that it is and i don't want to hear a word about amnesty
00:54:32.240 i don't want to hear a war a word about like oh i didn't do my job i i work two jobs man and i have
00:54:37.820 you know thing on the side it's called doing the youtube channels the potentialist is you know and
00:54:41.640 who i am it's not like i'm trying to make things work uh to the best of my ability because i know
00:54:47.360 that i will never vote for a democrat i've been voting since the republican primary of 2014
00:54:51.480 and i have voted straight ticket republican every single election that i can uh because that's how
00:54:56.460 it works for me because i know that the other side hates me for just existing by the color of
00:55:00.160 my skin um and i think that that puts you know a lot of people in a rock and a hard place because
00:55:04.660 Republicans don't seem to care. And the ones that do, unfortunately, did not get the support
00:55:09.480 that they deserved. And we saw this also in the last major election cycle and in 2024 and in 2020,
00:55:15.580 where, you know, Mitch McConnell and countless others decided to spend more money in races with
00:55:20.080 unpopular Republican candidates to make sure that they won than those that were actually speaking
00:55:24.340 to the needs of the American people. And again, you know, history, unfortunately, tends to repeat
00:55:28.760 itself. And I think that, you know, more than ever, yes, the war is a terrible decision. You
00:55:34.680 had Marco Rubio and J.D. Vance basically tell you that this was largely in part due to the
00:55:38.300 pressures from Netanyahu's government in the state of Israel. But, you know, also at the same time
00:55:42.980 that, you know, the Senate Republicans did not codify anything of Trump's achievements from
00:55:48.480 executive action into law. And when you have Ron DeSantis pointing that out, saying like,
00:55:52.700 not once did the Senate or Congress pass any of the things that Trump has championed on,
00:55:57.660 and it has very high approval ratings on.
00:56:00.140 It really just goes to show you
00:56:01.220 that this was going to be a rebuke.
00:56:02.780 I just didn't think it was going to be this bad.
00:56:05.860 So I want to read a Twitter post,
00:56:08.800 which I don't normally do at length,
00:56:11.320 but with these events,
00:56:13.960 there's often just that one post,
00:56:16.300 that just tells you exactly where the zeitgeist is at.
00:56:20.420 And I think this does it,
00:56:21.840 and so I'm just going to do that now.
00:56:24.160 This is from TheRefinedPopulist on Twitter.
00:56:26.520 give him a follow because this is an incredible post he says this every GOP strategist consultant
00:56:32.120 and candidate should be forced to participate in a role-playing exercise this morning your name is
00:56:36.400 Bob you're a 49 year old blue-collar worker in Ohio you've always struggled to make ends meet
00:56:41.460 the good jobs were all shipped to China and the few remaining pay a pittance wage undercut by
00:56:47.540 endless illegal labor you're a three-time Trump voter because you believed he would finally make
00:56:52.640 America great again. You put your son through Ohio State. He graduated cum laude and in computer
00:56:58.160 science. You couldn't have been prouder. After months searching, he lands an entry-level job
00:57:02.860 at Microsoft beneath his qualification, but a good start for a smart kid. Then he gets laid off.
00:57:08.520 That same month, Microsoft applies for 150,000 more H-1B visas because it can't find qualified
00:57:15.040 Americans. Your son has spent the last six months back in his childhood bedroom, sending hundreds
00:57:20.360 of applications without landing an interview. On TV, Trump boasts about the greatest economy
00:57:25.240 in history and how many women and minorities are finding jobs. You decide a father-son steak night
00:57:31.080 might cheer him up. Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Filling your truck costs $100. At Kroger,
00:57:37.960 ribeyes are $3 a pound. You settle for hamburger, even though 70-30 ground beef still costs $10 a
00:57:45.360 pound. At checkout, a fat black woman is screaming to the cashier because her EBT only covers most
00:57:53.380 of the filet mignon and lobster in her cart. You think to yourself how the Iran war has made
00:57:58.420 everything expensive, but at least you're stopping this nuclear bomb. You weren't even sure where
00:58:03.900 Iran was before you Googled it after we first bombed them in March. After dinner, you take
00:58:10.040 your son to the county fair. Half the people aren't speaking English. Virtually none of the
00:58:14.600 crowd looks like you. You're forced to leave early after a teen takeover turns violent.
00:58:19.960 A foreign-born judge pledges none of them will go to jail. Back at home, you turn on the TV.
00:58:25.760 Vivek Ramaswamy is lecturing the crowd about American mediocrity and why Ohio needs more
00:58:31.340 foreign talent. Your son grows upset. You change the channel. Now a Republican surrogate, the
00:58:37.200 daughter of a governor or wife of an elderly billionaire, explains what that young white
00:58:42.220 men are the real welfare queens they'd rather play video games in their parents basement than work
00:58:47.100 your son says nothing he just goes back to his childhood bedroom you turn off the tv then your
00:58:52.740 neighborhood starts blasting reggaeton and cracking open modellos he bought his cousins uh he brought
00:58:58.860 his cousin's family from mexico to help with all the minority business contracts his construction
00:59:03.820 firm keeps winning tonight they're celebrating his nephew's birthday the family's first birthright
00:59:09.440 american citizen you sit alone in your living room you worked hard paid taxes obeyed the law
00:59:15.020 and raised your son to do everything right you move republican you voted republican again and
00:59:20.180 again because you believe somebody in washington would finally fight for you instead your wages
00:59:24.600 are stagnant groceries are are unaffordable your community is unrecognizable your country is
00:59:29.860 fighting another foreign war and upstairs your son who you sacrificed everything for is lying
00:59:35.160 awake in the bedroom he slept in at 12, wondering what the heck he's even supposed to do with his
00:59:40.240 life now. Every time you turn on the TV, the Republicans you elected are either congratulating
00:59:45.660 themselves or explaining why you and your son are the problem. For 10 years, they told you
00:59:51.200 America's future depended on your vote, and now you aren't even sure America has a future worth
00:59:57.000 defending. The Republican Party needs to answer one simple question this morning. You spent a
01:00:02.060 decade demanding bob's loyalty you've given him stagnant wages unaffordable groceries another
01:00:08.160 foreign war and a son who didn't uh who did everything right and couldn't find work and when
01:00:13.640 they complain you call them lazy entitled and racist what possible reason have you given bob
01:00:20.540 and his son to vote for republicans do you do you honestly think you deserve their vote
01:00:26.440 i can't i can't really sum it up better than that just an incredible summation of
01:00:32.420 what is going on now and so in this moment we have a couple of questions on the horizon
01:00:38.520 uh first a lot of people are now talking about the 2028 election who's going to be up now
01:00:48.320 obviously we've had this maybe it's you know vance maybe it's rubio maybe maybe it's a dark
01:00:53.740 course like Ted Cruz. But now Ron DeSantis seems to have thrown his hat in the ring. And it's very
01:01:01.440 clear that J.D. Vance is feeling the moment he's in when he comes out and makes a statement like
01:01:08.560 he did after the election, taking that ownership and recognizing the moment in a way that many
01:01:12.920 other politicians don't. So I guess the first question is, is there even a future for the
01:01:19.560 Republican Party in the state. When you have all these different people possibly vying for the
01:01:24.220 future of the Republican Party, is it even worth running in 2028? Or is the election so tarnished
01:01:30.760 by the Iran war and the results after this blowout, you know, there's just this unmitigated
01:01:37.120 disaster, this historic disaster that now the Trump administration has presided over? Is it
01:01:43.240 even worth running in 2028? Because ultimately you're just lining up to get buried alive.
01:01:49.560 I mean, that's the chief question. I know that some people were already floating whether or not, you know, Vance or Rubio should should run. I think a lot can happen in two years. I mean, there can be significant breaks from this administration because, again, Trump can't run again.
01:02:05.140 um like 2028 will be the series finale of the apprentice slash celebrity apprentice uh we'll
01:02:11.300 see how that goes from there and of course i think the question now is going to be legacy
01:02:14.620 uh for for trump so who knows a lot a lot can happen in two years i think that the the ongoing
01:02:20.060 republican civil war which has been taking place since uh you know trump decided to run back in
01:02:26.040 in 2015 you know that that's going to be ongoing and the the fights and the coalition that we saw
01:02:31.640 happen from 2024 onward has been you know happening as it is i know a lot of tech people
01:02:36.580 are probably excited that they don't have to play republican anymore and that you know they i mean
01:02:40.460 they typically vote and donate democrat every single time uh questions about bridging the gap
01:02:44.260 for certain voters and trying to get them to change whether it be indian or jewish voters
01:02:47.560 when they are some of the most solidly uh democratic voting uh demographics in the united
01:02:52.280 states behind blacks is laughable to me and that you know the person who had said it best was sam
01:02:57.520 Francis back during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday issued under Reagan, that when you tend
01:03:02.220 to speak to the base's interests, and for Republicans, that's white people, they tend to
01:03:06.040 support you and reward you by getting reelected. And that does not seem to be present at all right
01:03:12.280 now from anyone. The one person who really seems to be doing that and has been consistent on that
01:03:17.100 issue has been J.D. Vance. You know, you don't have to like him. You can say he's a puppet. You
01:03:21.900 can say whatever about the tech sector or venture capital, whatever. His rhetoric has been consistent
01:03:26.380 in showing that, you know,
01:03:28.280 hillbilly elegy sticks very close to him,
01:03:30.160 that, you know, he saw that, he's witnessed it.
01:03:32.320 I have seen it because I know more people
01:03:34.880 who have died from drug overdoses
01:03:36.160 than I would like to admit.
01:03:37.640 And the fact that, you know,
01:03:38.960 Narcan is rarely available
01:03:40.180 and that's something that people, you know,
01:03:41.200 make sure that you're aware of it
01:03:42.460 in rural white America frustrates me.
01:03:45.520 And the one good thing
01:03:46.200 that the Trump administration has done
01:03:47.380 has stopped the flow of drugs
01:03:48.560 very effectively through the southern border.
01:03:51.740 And that's great because that speaks to interests
01:03:53.860 that go to his base that tend to vote for him.
01:03:56.380 um you know the the question that the refined populist has great account on twitter you should
01:04:00.220 go follow him he's got a lot of uh good takes and a good gut instinct that uh that role-playing
01:04:05.880 exercise should be should be done but uh will republicans do it will john thune do it will any
01:04:10.180 of these guys do it probably not um because they really do not care uh that's the message i get
01:04:15.480 from them and if they do care then i'm not seeing it i know a lot of staffers who care i know a lot
01:04:20.600 of guys that have been playing the long game uh who do care and have to deal with this nonsense
01:04:25.380 And I really do feel for them because those guys genuinely care about the United States more than the people who are elected to represent them.
01:04:31.920 And that has to be incredibly frustrating.
01:04:34.200 But I think that what really comes to show at the end of this, as we look at the results, is that we know that all the things about power are going to be played out by the Democrats.
01:04:44.260 Chuck Schumer has already said that they're probably going to nuke the Senate filibuster, something that Thune, Tillis, and Cornyn dare say they won't do because of norms.
01:04:51.600 despite the fact that it would allow them to bypass democrats and to bypass you know the
01:04:56.360 independence and make sure that the trump agenda got passed especially for the save america act
01:05:00.880 didn't happen uh you know hakeem jeffries and the rest of them are getting excited about what
01:05:05.640 they're going to do um they're already talking about investigations some are talking about
01:05:09.100 impeachment uh we'll see what happens uh only time will tell i'm not going to make any predictions
01:05:12.780 as to what democrats will do and they have their own civil war to fight but earlier this year
01:05:16.760 Oren, you and I made it very clear that we should not be laughing at Democrats or the DSA. And DSA
01:05:24.580 endorsed candidates, I think they had 50 DSA endorsed candidates win their elections just
01:05:29.380 yesterday. I had warned to your listeners and Republicans in general, you can't laugh at them
01:05:35.360 like this is 2016 and you're laughing at like trickly puff. Like these are very serious people
01:05:39.320 and these are individuals that are telling you that they want you dead. And unfortunately,
01:05:43.780 they're going to have a lot more influence and power both within mainstream democrats but also
01:05:47.220 just in general on the left in america as it is and so overall uh on on this issue um you know
01:05:55.200 those that told you to vote democrat are just telling you to decide with people that will that
01:05:58.440 will shoot you first um one only needs to look at the haitian revolution to see how the fate of their
01:06:02.560 white allies ended up so keep that in mind for those that are saying like oh should i vote
01:06:06.460 democrat no you shouldn't they want you dead too and they made that abundantly clear um and if you
01:06:10.920 try and say oh i've changed my ways i understand the importance of the left they will never trust
01:06:14.800 you they will never like you they will never hire you and they will tell you to dig your own grave
01:06:18.500 so they can put you in it um but at the same time you know i think that republicans should have a
01:06:23.000 long hard look in the mirror and realize that uh this is the war that's going to be fought uh
01:06:27.900 there's the reason why neocons is trending on twitter and has been for the last several months
01:06:32.660 uh because those that advocate for a war on behalf of another nation in the middle east
01:06:37.400 or getting involved in the foreign wars adventurism of the Bush era, something that was explicitly
01:06:43.080 promised by Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr., that there would be no war in Iran if Trump gets
01:06:48.140 elected. That happened. And at the same time, the legislative gridlock had effectively killed any
01:06:54.560 momentum from the Trump administration. And that we can tell that there was a noticeable difference
01:06:59.000 between when this conflict started back in February of this year versus the first opening,
01:07:04.060 you know 150 days of the trump administration in 2025 uh that was the that was the trump that i
01:07:09.800 wanted that was the trump that i really liked that needs to come back if they want to you know
01:07:14.580 secure a legacy or to get i think the coalition back on board but right now i i think that this
01:07:19.560 sort of uh screw you i've got mine attitude that i've seen from senate republicans who are
01:07:23.840 uh you know either boomers or you know uh very young boomers or very old gen xers um they have
01:07:30.280 no understanding that you know america is not the america of their childhood uh you can go to sam's
01:07:35.580 club or in costco right now in any major city in america you will not hear english you will see
01:07:40.080 very few people that look like you and at the same time um those that advocate for reducing
01:07:45.000 immigration or wanting to even just organize and have the right of free association are called
01:07:50.000 racist by their own party uh not to mention just from progressives and centrists alike
01:07:53.900 it's incredibly frustrating and so yes it's tragic that my state i'm now going to be under
01:07:59.620 Democrat occupation with a governor who would probably have marched alongside Santa Ana during
01:08:05.800 the Texas Revolution. And I have to now deal with that. And I'm sure that a lot of people who fled
01:08:10.640 California are now going to have to deal with that too. And at the same time, it's not like
01:08:14.460 Greg Abbott had done a great job on messaging either. Don Huffines, who was the acting comptroller
01:08:19.820 of Texas public accounts and lost election for that position to a Democrat, had called them out
01:08:25.160 saying like the statewide leadership failed on inaction and talking about tax cuts rather than
01:08:30.320 the economy and talking about how are we improving jobs for uh you know texas voters and everyone had
01:08:36.400 to pay the consequences for it because uh open arms immigration come to texas inevitably means
01:08:42.300 you're probably going to import the very voters that are going to kick you out of office and
01:08:46.780 unfortunately that took place last night and the state of texas is probably going to change far for
01:08:51.200 the worst, uh, despite the fact that, you know, it's a pretty good place to live. I like living
01:08:54.800 here. A lot of my family's buried here. A lot of my family died defending the state during the
01:08:58.500 revolution as well as during the civil war. And, uh, it's tragic to see what it's become of it,
01:09:02.540 but nevertheless, uh, my, my frustration is beyond words and I'm trying really hard to
01:09:07.500 restrain myself from really just raging out. But, uh, yeah, that, that exercise from the
01:09:11.800 refined populist, uh, Bob and his son deserve a lot better and your sons deserve a lot better
01:09:16.760 than what you're getting um and so i certainly hope that uh whatever comes next recognizes that
01:09:22.560 because if not then you know this is going to be one of those generational issues that uh they're
01:09:27.300 gonna have to deal with and unfortunately for us the left realizes that you know speed bumps in the
01:09:32.060 road like in the past with obama like in 2010 or in 2014 that doesn't stop them they're going to
01:09:37.140 double down and get worse and you know wait out the clock demographically uh we don't get that
01:09:41.720 option we can't miss uh once we really can't we have to get lucky every single time they only have
01:09:46.500 get lucky once and uh unfortunately we're seeing that play out right now well i won't ask you what
01:09:52.920 the democrats are going to do because that was going to be my next question but you already said
01:09:56.240 you can't predict that but i i do think it's interesting you know there there is a possibility
01:10:01.440 that the democrats push too hard and they turn trump into a persecuted figure again that was
01:10:08.740 quite the rallying point of course for trump supporters the fact that they saw the injustice
01:10:13.540 I think even the average person, the average American who wasn't a Trump supporter, they saw Trump get shot, they saw the trial, they saw the attempt to strip him from the ballot, and they said, okay, I don't know if I support this guy 100% on everything, but ultimately the system is clearly against him.
01:10:29.020 And so there is a possibility that Democrats, you know, kind of get out over their skis and try to do too much and ultimately turn themselves into villains.
01:10:37.900 But, you know, that that's also perhaps Wischel thinking ultimately, perhaps they simply extract the price that they need.
01:10:45.460 My next question then will be the neocons.
01:10:49.400 Obviously, we all hoped that they were dead with the election of Trump.
01:10:54.440 He ran a very anti-neocon platform against foreign wars, foreign intervention.
01:11:00.380 Very clear that they managed to worm-tongue their way into the White House.
01:11:05.220 Mark Levin clearly had the year of Trump.
01:11:07.840 Trump even went out of his way to say, Mark Levin is MAGA.
01:11:11.320 Go listen to Levin.
01:11:12.740 Whatever he says is MAGA.
01:11:15.420 Obviously, the plan for the neocons was to stall out this presidency, make MAGA a failure,
01:11:22.600 and then use that as a way to leverage back in the John McCain's and the Mitt Romney's to say,
01:11:27.880 hey, ultimately, you know, this is, you know, kind of the way we should be doing things.
01:11:36.020 We don't need that populist energy. We don't need that MAG energy that lost us.
01:11:40.620 This, it was a dead end. Let's go back to the old Republican Party.
01:11:43.440 And you've seen Nikki Haley already start saying this thing.
01:11:46.760 Funny enough, you've been seeing people like Mitt Romney start talking about how irresponsible the Iran war was.
01:11:52.600 Well, well, well, obviously trying, you know, it would have been for it in any other scenario. But also, obviously, I think everyone can look at this and see that the Iran war was incredibly unpopular and lost Trump this momentum. So are neocons so poisonous that they are no longer welcome anywhere? Is this going to be a realization that just neocons lose you everything all the time?
01:12:15.660 no matter what internet influencers with sinister motives tell you neocons lose you elections they
01:12:21.240 don't win you elections is that going to be a realization or is there a real future for these
01:12:25.700 people still somehow will they continue to work their way into american politics i mean that's
01:12:32.080 going to be the the ultimate question and that's going to be really what we have to to deal with
01:12:36.220 here and you know it's it's funny i think most conservative activists who are prominently aware
01:12:41.860 of how bad things are um you know even people that are you know you could say a MAGA or aligned
01:12:48.120 with the administration I mean like Rahim Kassim had just put out a a screenshot of some of his
01:12:52.760 last conversations with Charlie Kirk saying like hey I need you to help block the New Yorkons
01:12:56.900 uh again I think that the most consequential political assassination of the United States
01:13:02.140 of the 21st century is the assassination of Charlie Kirk because every single leftist has
01:13:06.340 realized that uh you get what you want when you when you kill your enemy and uh they're constantly
01:13:12.140 cheering it on and i think one of the most important voices of reason that was the person
01:13:17.700 who understood young people but also had the president's ear is no longer with us and it's a
01:13:22.540 voice that i think a lot of guys underappreciated at the time um despite the fact that you know he
01:13:28.120 did so much effort to get trump elected in 2024 and the strategy that they had done with less
01:13:32.700 money but with more you know boots on the ground was a master stroke of electoral genius and they
01:13:38.480 they did really well and now with that gone and that infrastructure kind of putering out uh in
01:13:43.860 sense of like the momentum and the energy you don't have a character like me as once in a
01:13:47.520 generation i think that is sort of the rights problem with great men of history is is that
01:13:51.960 you know great men of history uh are mortal you know we we all eventually meet our end and so
01:13:57.740 yeah where do neocons have their their place in this and i mean that's a huge question because
01:14:03.140 of course those that are prominently more interested in their own uh ethnic self-interest
01:14:07.420 or in the interest of a foreign power rather than the united states uh they vote overwhelmingly
01:14:12.060 democrat despite you know that there are is a prominent minority of anywhere from 30 to 40
01:14:17.240 percent of them uh voting on the basis of you know putting uh you know voting on republican
01:14:22.160 and i mean that's going to become its own question um at the same time you know this
01:14:26.480 going to have to be a referendum of course on foreign influence uh all diaspora politics is
01:14:31.420 bad you know even woodrow wilson said that you know the hyphen uh you know the hyphenated american
01:14:37.880 the hyphen is the dagger that will plunge into the heart of the republic that's woodrow wilson
01:14:42.940 you know sort of this arch nemesis bad guy for a lot of mainstream conservative understandings
01:14:47.920 of american history um of course you know teddy roosevelt had said the same thing that you know
01:14:51.600 there is no hyphenated americanism um the same thing is going to play out for of course with
01:14:55.920 indians it's going to play out the same thing with those that put you know either israel first
01:14:59.760 it's going to be the same thing for those that are you know they've they've lived here for 25
01:15:04.180 years and they can't speak english properly or they can't speak english at all and require
01:15:07.580 translators uh something with somalis the same thing with mexicans it's all going to play out
01:15:11.780 uh here and so for the question of neocons yeah like diaspora politics is bad uh and you're not
01:15:16.740 winning any favors when one of your loudest uh i i guess your loudest spokespeople laura loomer
01:15:23.160 uh happily you know blasphemes our lord but i mean that's a that's a day that ends in y for her
01:15:27.640 and uh you know is saying that like oh well they they lost because you know they didn't do the
01:15:31.680 they didn't win the war properly they didn't you know go all the way and of course you know this
01:15:36.200 is on top of the fact that you know this war has been deeply unpopular and that you know it's at
01:15:41.240 the same time that the sort of memification has led to the median voter having a negative opinion
01:15:46.880 of that country having a negative opinion of benjamin netanyahu and seeing trump and epstein
01:15:50.640 and all this other stuff uh it's turned of course the median voters politics into just this mushy
01:15:55.240 nightmare where you get the whole meme about you know we taught a chimpanzee the median voters
01:15:59.400 politics and he hanged himself like that that meme is true like it is insane because we like
01:16:03.420 all this new technology but we don't want it in our backyard um and i think i think it was kansas
01:16:07.480 that had allowed uh ai data centers to come into their country either that or nebraska one of the
01:16:11.460 two and uh it's also important to also consider that it's not just the legislative side it's also
01:16:16.180 going to be things in the private sector and culture like um i i work with uh my my day job
01:16:22.620 my my company is a is an iso certified place to work at which means of course you have to follow
01:16:27.320 all these standards and rules and things with bsi and all that other stuff they're still all pro you
01:16:32.840 know esg and environmentalism and this workplace culture of accountability and diversity uh despite
01:16:38.820 the fact that the trump administration has moved in a significantly deregulatory environment that
01:16:42.740 has you know had the department of justice's civil rights division clamped down on anti-white
01:16:47.340 discrimination and anti-white hiring policies um so you know there there are things still moving
01:16:51.460 in an obvious leftward direction um and at the same time with like the neocons it's just like
01:16:55.820 this is the battle that we have been arguing about since the war in iran started uh since
01:17:00.680 as long as you and i have been active in politics online uh that battle's always been present and
01:17:05.680 it's been present for a lot longer than either of us were have been alive uh so this is an ongoing
01:17:10.640 problem. And I think that Republican, you know, consultants and strategists need to understand
01:17:15.160 when you incorporate different groups into the coalition, you are constantly sacrificing your
01:17:22.200 own voice and your own agency to meet and bend over backwards for the needs of others. And that
01:17:28.860 usually means that your, your base suffers the consequences and they're going to blame candidate
01:17:34.180 quality. They're going to blame the inability to prosecute the war. They're going to blame
01:17:37.600 tariffs they're going to blame ice raids when really what this was was that we had spent a
01:17:42.360 good chunk of our political almost all of our political capital on foreign interventionism
01:17:48.340 uh causing one of the most you know heavily trafficked lanes of the sea to skyrocket in
01:17:53.760 prices for oil led to maritime insurance you know guys going crazy to where even truckers and
01:17:58.880 logistics companies here in the united states are passing the fuel costs onto the consumers
01:18:04.680 You know, I work in sales.
01:18:05.660 I work in logistics.
01:18:06.500 Like, that's kind of where it is.
01:18:07.840 So for me, who works in manufacturing, one of the last vestiges of American manufacturing
01:18:12.620 in the United States that is, you know, doing business with all these power plants and things
01:18:16.740 like that, and I'm going, well, how do I pass the buck on to the consumer, or do I
01:18:20.680 not, and I eat the cost because of rising fuel costs and things like that?
01:18:24.400 It's a no-win situation, and the no-win situation emerged yesterday at the polls.
01:18:29.600 all right guys we have a absolute pile of super chats to get through so we should probably get
01:18:36.260 started on that uh before we do mr williams where should people find your work well as always oren
01:18:42.020 thank you so much for having me on it's always a pleasure to speak with you uh you can find me on
01:18:45.280 twitter at mr prudentialist always just look for that lovely amphibian uh as the profile picture
01:18:49.120 i am on youtube and sub stack you can just find me as the prudentialist online um and you know my
01:18:54.860 words have been published in all sorts of places like frontier magazine the mars review of books
01:18:58.840 I am 1776. So yeah, thank you so much for having me on and I hope people will follow me and see
01:19:04.340 what I'm up to. A pleasure as always. Let's head to the questions of the people. Bobby Bob,
01:19:12.040 the name Bob says Beau French did better than Paxton or Abbott. Yeah, people who are selling
01:19:16.260 you this idea that well, because Beau French posted that one tweet, now he was, you know,
01:19:21.280 just unelectable. No, again, Abbott was pandering to the Indian constituency in Texas and that did
01:19:28.540 him no favors actually beau finch french outperformed him ultimately uh man there's this
01:19:35.520 oh sorry go ahead no no i mean it's absolutely true and i mean so for anyone to tell you that
01:19:39.640 like oh we need to tone down on the rhetoric or tone down on supporting like the base which
01:19:43.560 usually is younger white guys uh no like beau french did better than anyone else who was
01:19:47.820 speaking on that issue and i mean his text messages and his campaign was better representative
01:19:52.840 of younger white voters that were more likely to vote you know republican um or low propensity
01:19:58.140 voters who were likely to vote for him than anyone else. So if anyone tells you, oh, we need to be
01:20:01.780 less radical. No, like Beau French did better than Paxton. Let's let's not kid ourselves.
01:20:06.220 And let's also, you know, there's again, a lot of people are going to point to immigration or
01:20:10.000 ICE as the issue. Oh, that was unpopular. If you look at the polls, it's clear that immigration was
01:20:15.440 the only issue that was turning people out for Trump. So anyone who tries to spin you this idea
01:20:20.780 that you need to take the foot off the gas or, you know, dial down the rhetoric or the deportations
01:20:25.900 there any of that actually no those were all the things that were winning is that you didn't do
01:20:29.260 enough of that that lost you the election that that was the issue it's not it's not that these
01:20:34.980 were such dangerous issues you couldn't address them and that made you unelectable exactly the
01:20:39.260 opposite manny you says the struggle against the left will be impossible to overcome if we don't
01:20:44.260 do something about the beautiful losers on the right this midterm election shows that yeah that's
01:20:48.180 obviously true uh very clear that uh the people who are telling you to dial it down and dial it
01:20:53.520 back and don't use power and all these people were losers all of them were cowards all of them
01:20:58.860 guaranteed your failure i hate that we have this ongoing civil war on the right but it's very clear
01:21:05.460 it has to be won the only way to end it is to win it and you have to push these people into a corner
01:21:10.600 and tell them they don't get to run the party anymore that's the only option
01:21:13.360 cherry coke nixon says bb gave us el saeed talarico and blue uh ks sc ms texas israel lost
01:21:24.200 by support forever uh rather watch tel aviv fall than have a commie islamic america and yeah i mean
01:21:30.040 that's very clear i think i even saw matt walsh say something to the effect of i'd rather have
01:21:34.620 a nuclear armed iran than a communist america i i can't i can't argue with that like i'm sorry
01:21:40.220 again america first like what's the real threat i'm sorry but a blue wave across america is far
01:21:47.640 more dangerous to me and mine than some theoretical nuclear weapon in the middle east even though i
01:21:53.260 don't want them to have it like it's just not even close he also says iran israel gas food housing
01:22:01.080 jobs epstein files neat white men uh girl boss economics leering centers return to woke trump's
01:22:08.700 legacy now. That is an interesting dynamic that we didn't get into, but obviously the entirety of
01:22:16.780 Republican politics for the last 10 plus years has been Trump. And now it looks like Trump is
01:22:23.480 at the very best going to be a lame duck and at worst possibly an albatross in certain areas.
01:22:30.480 How does this shift? What does this look like for Trump's legacy? Does he become the Reagan that
01:22:36.180 many people predicted him to be or does he become a cautionary tale i only time will tell the the
01:22:43.520 next two years kind of determine everything for him on what he does with his executive action
01:22:47.560 what he does with the war um you know i think that the vice president's going to try his damnedest to
01:22:53.140 convince him to sort of like let's let's end this and resolve it now because i think that you know
01:22:57.380 right now for me you know the last last year all of 2026 has really just been
01:23:03.440 memes and edits and stuff like that and not actionable stuff that i saw out of the vice
01:23:09.500 president's twitter account on fraud immigration you know waste and abuse and actually trying to
01:23:15.140 get the american taxpayer their money back from the third world that has been scamming nickel
01:23:19.960 and diming them for decades and so uh whatever trump does in the next two years is entirely up
01:23:24.940 to him um and what he decides to do with uh this democratic congress because uh you're right he'll
01:23:30.200 probably get investigated we'll probably see that persecutorial complex come back but i think that
01:23:34.660 you know this is going to be the time for him to enable the best parts of his administration
01:23:39.940 his vice president and others to really you know stand up and deliver
01:23:43.240 uh definitely not dale g says railroad commissioner is supposed to be a gimme bow
01:23:51.040 maybe should have taught could have talked more about the actual job rather than tweeting about
01:23:55.480 the result uh but the result is stunning uh you know i i don't think that's the right takeaway
01:24:01.040 um you're right that ultimately that shouldn't have been a particularly contentious race however
01:24:06.880 uh that's kind of the moment where you stand out by talking about issues like that uh if you were
01:24:12.540 not in a scenario where the entire state was being completely consumed by a blue wave then maybe just
01:24:19.200 keeping your head down gives you an automatic win but in a moment like that actually speaking out
01:24:24.180 and standing out and looking different makes a difference which is probably why beau french was
01:24:28.120 actually relatively competitive in concert with his other republican uh cohorts uh if he had just
01:24:34.600 kept his mouth shut i don't think he could have just rode paxton or abbott's uh coattails because
01:24:39.800 they didn't have any uh so i hear your argument but ultimately yeah i don't think that's a winning
01:24:44.320 strategy for him in this environment yeah i mean had he had he not spoken on these issues and
01:24:49.460 reached out to them he probably would not have won the primary against the incumbent either so
01:24:53.920 on one hand i do get it but also i mean i he and i are mutuals i've seen him campaign in person
01:24:59.320 uh he made it very clear like that his job is to prevent or that he was going to try and prevent
01:25:04.420 someone who was you know green new deal type character from getting important in charge of
01:25:09.640 the oil and natural gas industry and unfortunately it's going to be ran by a guy who was openly
01:25:14.160 avowed tranny porn so this is uh unfortunately where we're at woke was put away don't you know
01:25:20.260 uh cherry coke nixon says uh with h1bs you lose texas so true brother so true uh ian briggs uh
01:25:30.280 here's hoping desantis gets a better campaign staff in 2028 i mean look uh clear that ron is
01:25:36.820 you know feeling uh his oats at this point uh there was no possibility of him running previously
01:25:42.720 in 2028 this loss uh and the magnitude of it makes that a possibility uh because now the
01:25:49.240 administration is going to be so uh toxic i think in many ways unless things get radically changed
01:25:55.360 uh so he does have a lifeline the big problem for ron is he's just a terrible campaigner
01:26:00.740 excellent executive love him as my governor again would have made him king if he gave me the option
01:26:05.560 but he's just a terrible campaigner and unless he learns to fix that and most importantly until he
01:26:11.840 learns to tell uh the consultants to shove it and you know kind of stick with his instincts rather
01:26:17.940 than being hyper managed which he clearly was in his primary challenge to trump i just don't see
01:26:23.240 a future for ron in that area again i love the guy as a as a political functionary i think he just
01:26:29.960 is an absolute terminator once he's in power but getting him into a position like the president
01:26:34.660 see is just going to be incredibly difficult unless he's really changed his campaign style
01:26:39.760 i mean alito and clarence thomas are in their mid-70s i mean just put him on the supreme court
01:26:46.520 but you can't anymore because you just lost the house and senate right like that that is the
01:26:50.140 problem you could have done that previously i mean you know we still saw the trump hell you can do it
01:26:54.780 now in a lame duck session just call a special session of congress i mean it's been done before
01:26:58.920 just do it as the time donald let's let's let's let's see some let's see some bravery we desperately
01:27:04.060 need it sherry kook nixon says uh w betrayed us 10 years in the wilderness trump betrayed us
01:27:09.820 who can we ever believe again de santa seizing the moment vance rubio dead on arrival
01:27:15.820 um you know i only time i want to say yeah i mean obviously i want to say that trump betraying us
01:27:23.140 is an overstatement uh but obviously it's putting us in a very difficult scenario
01:27:27.860 and trump's response has not been encouraging he's double downed on the war he said ultimately
01:27:33.000 he would do it again even if it lost him thing so i mean it it's obviously you know at the very
01:27:39.240 you know if we're hoping to strip away any sinister modems just terrible decision making
01:27:43.880 uh which is not encouraging uh but either way um obviously you should not expect someone to come
01:27:51.620 and save you uh we're in a scenario where the republican party is hopefully a vehicle for
01:28:01.000 conservative right-wing action in the future but it's not anything that you can ultimately rely on
01:28:06.220 and if you are expecting someone to come through the republican party and fix all your problems for
01:28:10.940 you you've deluded yourself uh the solutions are going to be far more systemic uh and so in the
01:28:17.360 meantime you know you should do your best to take over your local republican party to sway the
01:28:23.360 direction that it's going uh but if you're just sitting around waiting for the next presidential
01:28:27.500 candidate to fix your problems uh you're you're deluding yourself about kind of where we are at
01:28:32.000 the moment yeah i mean uh psalm 146 kind of makes that clear you know trust not in princes and the
01:28:37.720 sons of men in whom there is no salvation um that's been my position uh on that issue but i
01:28:41.940 mean at the same time uh voting for trump and voting for republicans i've always viewed it as
01:28:45.520 i'm buying myself more time more time to organize more time to accumulate capital more time to
01:28:50.120 network and that's what you should be doing uh with your time is looking for those that are of
01:28:54.040 like mind or care and to be involved in the issues that matter because when push comes to show up
01:28:58.520 people are going to look for leaders and they're not going to look for the guy that says screw you
01:29:01.600 i got mine you might be that leader because you have your shit together um pardon my language but
01:29:06.100 it's true in the same way that uh you know there are guys who are older than me that have asked me
01:29:11.580 like hey what can i do more for young guys and those people are very good friends of mine uh irl
01:29:16.180 who are also connected and well-to-do and involved in local politics or local volunteer fire
01:29:20.200 departments those are the guys that you want to be um so whatever skills that you can pass on or
01:29:24.940 whatever network that you can build uh now is the time to do it i even said that when trump got
01:29:28.780 elected in november of 2024 i i openly said uh we have bought ourselves more time make the most use
01:29:34.520 of it as you can um and regardless you know we have two years of probably a lame duck you know
01:29:39.840 sort of presidency i don't know what's going to come out of it but you have two years until
01:29:43.020 potentially a democrat takes office in 2029 and makes the all the j6 investigations look like
01:29:48.240 child's play so do everything that you can to be as powerful and as influential and as well off as
01:29:54.240 you can be and that's really the recommendation that i can and there are a lot of guys that want
01:29:58.540 more people like jd vance or like steven miller to be the sort of face of the republican party
01:30:03.300 Nick Solheim is a person you might want to be interested in talking to if you're younger
01:30:06.700 if you're older than like myself or even older than Ornn and I like you're like hey like this
01:30:11.920 is a good time to pass the skills along or to find an opening in a business that you own for
01:30:16.300 a young white guy that's been down on his luck these are the opportunities that are in front of
01:30:20.260 you so I don't know if it's entirely over because it never is until you know Christ returns but you
01:30:26.580 know the master wants to see you working and so let's make the use of the time that we have
01:30:29.640 yeah i know i say things like you're not going to vote your way out of this and you're not but that
01:30:36.120 doesn't mean that it doesn't you shouldn't vote or it doesn't matter who's in office but it is
01:30:41.200 exactly what prudentialist is saying here that ultimately uh it's a snooze button on the
01:30:46.100 destruction of your civilization if you have the option to hit the snooze button you should but
01:30:50.340 that's not the same as fixing things and so your voting is uh extra time as you're saying it's
01:30:56.180 extra time to solve this problem it is not a solution so that doesn't mean you shouldn't vote
01:31:00.920 yourself more time but it does mean that you can't just sit there and say the voting is enough
01:31:05.300 and that's what we're talking about like ultimately you have to understand that there is a step beyond
01:31:10.380 that that you have to take and you have to be a part of and you have to be active in you can't
01:31:15.280 just passively consume politics and hit a button every four years to pause the destruction of
01:31:20.420 civilization you need more and if you're expecting the politicians to solve that for you they will not
01:31:26.180 shake silver says de santis and rubio uh turn from neocons is to set up the next candidate for
01:31:32.680 the old guard to retake control taking uh taking out jd vance uh by pinning maga's failure on him
01:31:40.340 i think there's certainly some truth to that i mean i don't want to say that de santis and rubio
01:31:45.960 have that particular goal in mind i think rubio knows uh that crossing jd vance is a mistake i
01:31:53.740 I think Rubio has talked about how he wouldn't run if J.D. Vance was running.
01:31:58.540 Now, I don't know if he'll hold to that.
01:32:00.440 I think Rubio will probably be wise about where he runs.
01:32:06.180 DeSantis is a different animal.
01:32:08.500 I think he was burned by the fact that he was kind of used as a pawn of the neocons to counter Trump.
01:32:15.240 I think he knows that.
01:32:16.500 I think he knows that at some level he was ultimately used and discarded by those people.
01:32:21.520 i'm not sure that he would fall into the same pattern again maybe he's dumb maybe he maybe he
01:32:27.440 would uh but i think i think he knows that that happened so what would a 2028 candidacy by de
01:32:34.040 santis look like would it look like another neocon kind of stalking horse i'm doubtful i think if he
01:32:40.200 runs again he'd have to do something different but those are all speculations i obviously have
01:32:44.080 no inside knowledge of of that dynamic yeah as long as he ditches whoever he worked with
01:32:49.180 in the the 24 primary he'll be fine because literally no one the day he literally he dropped
01:32:54.940 out he was like a totally different man he wasn't awkward yeah he recorded a video and he's like this
01:33:00.100 is why like so and so is an idiot and i'm like where was this guy the entire time exactly so
01:33:05.200 we'll we'll see but i mean like again de santis i think has some options i don't think you just
01:33:09.980 don't run on relitigating covet just say like i am the republican example for all future governors
01:33:14.820 because by God, anytime DeSantis did something as governor, everyone, including the outgoing
01:33:19.400 governor, Greg Abbott, actually did something. Yes. Nike says, I was disappointed to watch it,
01:33:26.620 but I did get just a little bit of schadenfreude watching Cat Cope and Cry. Yeah, I mean, again,
01:33:32.680 not a lot of joy to be had in being right here. You know, yes, you know, pat on the back, but
01:33:38.800 ultimately that doesn't save your country. But, you know, every once in a while, you'd have to
01:33:43.520 stop and say, well, at least, you know, people who were wrong learned that. Nixon says, Boomer Erickson
01:33:51.400 accused the Blaze TV bros, including you, of pushing white nationalism last night on the
01:33:55.760 election live stream. Insane. I mean, I'm sure Eric Erickson and all three of his viewers really
01:34:01.900 enjoyed that talk. If he wasn't calling for the murder of patriotic conservatives, well, that would
01:34:07.660 be an improvement from eric's previous behavior so maybe he should take stock in his own moral
01:34:13.860 failings and his complete lack of control over his desire to see his fellow conservatives
01:34:19.720 murdered before he starts throwing stones but we'll see jacob zendel says uh no fed posting
01:34:27.360 of course not here we're we're all central uh sensible centrists here uh clearly no radicals
01:34:32.400 among us. Uh, based Remy says the administration may as well have just fired all of the Patriot
01:34:38.780 missiles at their base instead of Iran would have cheesed the same effect. Um, increasingly hard
01:34:45.020 to argue at this point. Uh, but I've had, you know, more geopolitical analysis on where we are
01:34:51.180 with, uh, interceptors and, and, you know, bases and all that stuff before, but very clear that
01:34:56.640 ultimately the, uh, the Iran strikes are doing far more damage to the reputation of the United
01:35:01.780 states at this point than it is to the regime in iran florida henry says top 10 states now have
01:35:09.180 democrat uh governors except florida yep a mitigated disaster nothing else to say other
01:35:15.420 than uh you know generational loss uh that was entirely unnecessary uh which seems almost
01:35:20.940 entirely motivated by foreign interests so there's a really good book on this entire subject and it
01:35:27.520 was it was written over over a century ago at this point it's called the revolt against
01:35:31.440 civilization if you want to understand the dynamics of revolution and uh you know power
01:35:36.600 hungry communists that's that's the book to go for i would just i'd go read that one
01:35:40.440 dissident soaps with an incredibly generous donation thank you very much sir i am myself
01:35:46.240 a proud customer of diss of dissident soaps so am i what a great product go buy soaps from
01:35:51.820 dissident soaps uh but he says uh like uh wesley in the princess bride the only reason i'm alive
01:35:58.120 right now is that i've been building up a tolerance to black pills for years yes you could put them
01:36:02.580 in both people's drinks but only you would survive a a wise move at this point sir a wise move what
01:36:09.000 an outstanding you know act of generosity so go go buy his soaps but he is true uh build up your
01:36:15.020 tolerance uh god loves a happy warrior and uh no matter how bad things get uh do what you have to
01:36:21.160 do with a smile on your face and do not i i can't tell you not to doom we're all human we're all
01:36:26.340 gonna have moments of despair i was even last night i was like oh this is pretty bad i did not
01:36:30.720 sleep well last night but i i also know that you know today is the day i begin again uh today is
01:36:35.980 the day i arise and so you know just if you've been here long enough you know that things have
01:36:40.900 been bad before um and that i don't know what the future holds but again be a happy warrior uh endure
01:36:46.560 i gotta say i'm less depressed than many people i had a lot of people checking in like are you okay
01:36:53.300 how are you feeling i'm like i i knew this was coming like it it sucks same but like but i
01:36:59.080 predicted this i knew this was going to happen i told everybody was going to happen i spent the
01:37:02.520 last you know year warning everybody this is going to happen so when it happened it's like
01:37:06.420 well you know it sucks but this this is where we were obviously going i'm not giving up guys i'm
01:37:12.920 sorry america is my only home you know this is my homeland these are my people this is my place
01:37:17.440 i will fight here i will die here like there's no giving up and at the end christ wins so yeah i got
01:37:23.840 a lot of text messages from friends saying like hey are you thinking about moving and i you know
01:37:28.940 did the thought cross my mind yeah sure but also my family's buried here my family is here i i have
01:37:35.480 nowhere else to go uh america is my homeland and when people get you know upset over that that
01:37:40.920 statement it's like yeah because you have somewhere else to go to if shit hits the fan uh we don't
01:37:45.460 and uh i'm not i'm dying with my boots on and it will be here end of discussion exactly right
01:37:50.820 manny you says i'm so tired of the beautiful losers boss again so so true so true bobby uh
01:38:00.100 bobby bob says white men under 35 went from 20 plus 28 gop in 2024 to plus 11 uh dim in 2026
01:38:08.460 their swing voters right now, will they be pandered to? No, they will not. The first rule
01:38:15.140 of American civic religion is that you always demonize a young white man. That's the only
01:38:21.900 acceptable villain for both Republicans and Democrats. None of them will stop villainizing
01:38:28.400 those people. However, again, I encourage you to remember that swing is not just a swing. It's a
01:38:33.980 suppression, demoralization, people not showing up. So it's not that all of a sudden all these
01:38:39.560 white men all go and vote for Democrats. What happened is the conservative white men stayed
01:38:44.040 home. All of the like pro-tranny, pro-immigration men showed up. So it's more of a voter turnout
01:38:50.260 thing that it is a swing voter thing. But ultimately, the assessment is still correct
01:38:55.020 that you have to be very, very worried about whether or not you are speaking to the concerns
01:39:00.100 of this voting bloc uh i'm sure both sides will not because that's again like the first rule of
01:39:05.420 our civic religion uh but the first group that learns to do that will probably have a generational
01:39:10.380 advantage yeah the the first the first republican who whether he comes down an escalator or whatever
01:39:16.520 says you know i i am your voice i am your champion that guy that guy's king of america or at least
01:39:21.860 king of the republican party and i mean uh you know eric prince descends from the golden helicopter
01:39:26.720 yeah well or whoever it's gonna be it does it doesn't matter i mean because here's the thing
01:39:31.340 i mean uh the late rush limbaugh had said it best you know in 2006 after the the democrats also had
01:39:35.840 a massive blowout election win was uh you know i feel liberated you know i don't have to carry
01:39:40.640 water for people who hate me or don't care about their children uh now i get to carry water for
01:39:45.540 all of the people who are interested in my interests and my children's interest and my
01:39:50.400 grandchildren's interest you know actual americans i get to carry water for those guys i don't have
01:39:54.820 to carry water for vivek ramaswamy i don't have to carry water for any single neocon that has
01:39:59.820 told me that my interests are either a psyop or anti-semitic sorry i don't have to do that you all
01:40:05.220 lost we now get to take the great joy that whoever gets to come next and speaks to my interests or
01:40:10.760 those under 30 guys who have it far worse than i do that's who i get to carry water for and so
01:40:16.220 should you this is a liberating and exciting moment yeah does it suck absolutely but at the
01:40:21.220 same time i kind of get to rejoice in knowing oh all of the worst people i know have it far worse
01:40:26.480 because they're out of a job yep nixon says uh bad news prices aren't just about iran 15 years of
01:40:34.900 quantitative easing and printing cash to pay for emergencies after emergency hence to uh two admins
01:40:42.160 of it yeah i mean i've talked about this before but this is a democracy problem ultimately uh you're
01:40:47.880 never going to stop printing money in a democracy uh that's not how it works uh both sides will just
01:40:53.740 continue to offer free stuff to somebody until they win uh and bankrupt the country uh but
01:40:59.960 ultimately uh until we solve the democracy problem that's just a reality so i hear you
01:41:04.760 ultimately inflation is the core issue you're exactly right about that but i'm focusing on
01:41:09.380 the issues we could actually solve and right now that's just not one of them you're absolutely
01:41:13.180 right it's the root issue you know libertarians for once are right about this but as often you
01:41:19.240 know they are incorrect about whether this is ultimately politically salient and it just isn't
01:41:23.880 at this moment even though functionally you're absolutely correct he also says if this were
01:41:29.320 europe trump would have resigned after this uh yeah but obviously it's not uh and obviously i'm
01:41:34.620 very blessed that we do not have a parliamentary system he says i vote for rhinos then rhinos vote
01:41:41.020 for dims yep the the cycle is absolutely vicious uh count null says i got spam political texts
01:41:47.980 that literally said i was at fault for losing my state to the left because i guess voting to or
01:41:54.200 waiting to vote on election day is bad now yep again a lot of a lot of the the troops failed
01:42:00.140 the generals uh in this discussion uh and the only thing left to do is to tell those people to go
01:42:05.000 pound sand it's a failing message it's a disastrous mass message it failed at the ballot box and
01:42:10.620 anyone who's still pushing it can just be disregarded as a unserious political actor
01:42:14.440 yeah you know you know it's bad when i had a text message literally the morning of election day
01:42:20.020 from matt this is ted cruz listen to my voice no man no i'm not you know like ted cruz know what
01:42:26.740 i'm not gonna do that yeah this is not the guy i want to listen to when things get rough um so
01:42:32.800 yeah no i feel you because i i if i were to go through my spam right now the last time i checked
01:42:36.420 it was over 2000 messages since early voting started in texas uh so i feel you i really do
01:42:41.940 it's it's it's been it's been bad uh lance says matt walsh's face was golden today watching his
01:42:49.300 colleagues shuck and jive around the obvious issue while he kept saying i ran war he just
01:42:54.580 needs to jump ship um that was an awkward exchange and i'll just leave it there uh you know
01:43:00.380 great for matt walsh i mean if all else fails i hope the blaze gets him yes we've been you know
01:43:07.620 we picked up jesse calley we picked up uh you know a lot of good talent here recently uh you
01:43:12.560 know i i think uh you know i'm sure i'm sure the water is warm uh let's see uh tank as caesar says
01:43:19.340 orin genuinely feel for you you tried for a year and a half screaming about the zionists and the
01:43:23.540 neocons uh that what they're going to do to blow up the entire project and it fell completely on
01:43:28.160 deaf ears now they reap what they have sown uh that's true but ultimately you don't get any
01:43:32.780 points for being right you only get points for winning uh you know god bless pat buchanan but
01:43:37.140 ultimately uh he was right the entire time and it didn't change course so i hear you i appreciate
01:43:42.780 it i have gotten a lot of messages from people saying hey turns out you were right sorry about
01:43:46.920 that always i guess vindicating at some level but ultimately victory is what matters so uh you know
01:43:52.180 it's good to be right but we have to win so i appreciate that but you know let's orient ourselves
01:43:56.760 towards victory manny youd says i just want to live in america and the american nation not to
01:44:02.220 live in the economic zone called usa incorporated or the democratic people's republic of america
01:44:08.120 i just want to uh wanted america to be for americans uh we all do man i think that's where
01:44:13.600 we're all at uh and uh we will have our homeland again uh that that's gonna happen uh you know
01:44:19.140 So keep the faith.
01:44:20.740 Amen.
01:44:22.260 Spartan says, with the Zios, you don't win.
01:44:25.800 It has not looked good for that strategy.
01:44:29.280 I'll just leave that there.
01:44:31.720 Let's see.
01:44:33.480 Belgians are evil.
01:44:34.600 Trust me.
01:44:35.180 Why is abortion the number one issue for women?
01:44:39.380 I think that's pretty obvious because it's the only way they can evolve the most serious consequence of their actions.
01:44:47.580 Long and the short of it.
01:44:49.140 the child the childbearing burden is falls uh you know infinitely uh more heavily on women
01:44:56.060 and the best way to avoid that consequence is to be able to end it at will
01:45:00.100 uh nixon says trump spent the day uh talking about his ballroom and tweeting about daylight
01:45:06.420 savings time on desantis you don't get a wife that pretty and be weird uh okay uh first uh
01:45:13.380 yeah trump's messaging disastrous as it has been for a while uh second desantis you know
01:45:18.260 congratulations brother uh especially for short king you know well done uh let's see uh emarsh
01:45:25.160 with a generous donation thank you very much sir uh speaking with people that voted republican
01:45:29.480 they're not surprised uh said they deserve it the iran war unconditional support for israel will
01:45:35.100 likely be re-evaluated by the right and especially the next generation growing and passing uh the
01:45:40.260 baby boomers look if you want one silver lining this is it guys you you want you you want the
01:45:45.840 white pill here it is i think the neocon brand is done i i don't think i mean i i know we've said
01:45:51.360 this before at this point maybe it's like betting on uh you know the the the end of uh uh who's the
01:45:58.120 leader of syria that everyone's joking assad you know like every time they're like oh it's over for
01:46:02.460 him and then uh but like maybe it's betting against that at this point but i really do think
01:46:06.360 that ultimately uh the neocons have just yeah they they overplayed their hand this time and
01:46:11.020 everybody sees it and everybody knows they're poisoned and nobody wants them at this point
01:46:14.440 i think that that's the the best white pill i can offer you out of this entire thing
01:46:18.540 yep uh belgians says demographics uh eg georgia seriously uh uh serious serious problem yeah
01:46:27.840 obviously i mean that's the whole ball game uh we we've seen over and over again i mean the number
01:46:32.780 of indian voters who came out and danced on the grave of all of these republicans in texas because
01:46:39.800 they said oh you were mean to us even after like greg greg abbott again spends like all of his time
01:46:44.920 kissing uh their rears endlessly uh the fact that they would then go out and mock him and say look
01:46:50.480 we defeated this guy who was doing everything we could he could to pander to us because we didn't
01:46:54.900 like republicans because they were mean one of them was mean i mean that just reveals what's going
01:46:58.900 on here i think voting blocks are unfortunately going to be the future of the united states
01:47:03.000 if they weren't already the past uh and so you have to recognize that demographics are going to
01:47:08.460 be a very very serious problem going forward that's why deportations and immigration are the
01:47:13.400 only things that matter i care about other stuff but ultimately demographics and deportations
01:47:18.740 that's it that's all that really matters at the end of the day absolutely and it's also really
01:47:23.660 important to identify the massive swing uh white college educated voters have moved leftward by
01:47:30.920 like 15 to 20 points in some states over the last 10 to 15 years um for reasons that i think need
01:47:37.280 to be fully more investigated i think uh the only person who's actually doing that research is
01:47:41.280 jeremy carl for his next book but like there are a lot of uh there are a lot of college educated
01:47:46.580 whites that have swung further and further left uh as the decades go by yes is that a product of
01:47:51.440 woke indoctrination and how terrible you know the academy has become absolutely but it's also
01:47:55.660 something that's worth investigating um on its own right because yes demographic change is important
01:48:00.040 uh to consider because i live now and i have been living in a minority majority state and it has
01:48:05.060 now come home to roost obviously um because the electorate in the united uh in texas has gotten
01:48:09.640 less white just in the span of one election cycle and that's important to consider but also a lot of
01:48:14.660 uh white you know suburban and middle class voters have swung to the left uh for reasons i can't
01:48:20.140 describe other than vibes or they wish to be in the socially status agreeable position and
01:48:25.360 unfortunately what seems to have some sense of higher status or meaning seems to be you know
01:48:30.120 unfortunately libtards um and that needs to be investigated not to belittle demographic change
01:48:34.380 you're closing the border the fact that you know america is uh you know rapidly approaching you
01:48:39.380 know the the complete you know uh accomplishment of the great replacement but uh it is also something
01:48:44.320 to consider that you know there are a lot of whites that have decided to betray their own interests
01:48:48.220 j4 it says pain look whether we all feel it but uh but look young christian american man
01:48:58.800 get up get up and fight for your country we all feel the pain we all feel the anguish we all feel
01:49:06.420 the difficulty in this moment but then get up get up off your back and fight fight for your country
01:49:13.620 because ultimately i'm going to be you know we all have our own battles but ultimately we're being
01:49:19.900 asked to do far less than many of our ancestors so feel the pain but then use it go fight
01:49:27.100 nixon says uh more angry than depressed ballot measures uh show this was about trump not beliefs
01:49:34.180 yeah and again anger should be the choice here anger and not despair should be using that to
01:49:40.540 fight uh he also says i thought about uh my deceased world war ii combat vet grandpa and
01:49:46.000 got a little sad uh what was it for sigh it was for you it was for you he did not die in vain
01:49:52.300 he died so that or sorry didn't die but he did not fight in vain uh he fought so that you would
01:49:59.320 have a future and now you have to fight not the same battle a different battle but you have to
01:50:03.460 fight uh let's see db 543 says at least florida stayed red governor and senate yep again closer
01:50:11.220 than it should be it should have been but ultimately florida got away relatively unscathed
01:50:16.580 and I am proud to be a Floridian in this moment.
01:50:20.660 Cyberchad says,
01:50:21.660 silver lining is Oren had their ear
01:50:23.800 and absolutely nailed every single talking point.
01:50:25.880 And you ever want to say to conservatives,
01:50:28.080 America boomers and the Blaze audience last night,
01:50:30.240 10 out of 10, Oren.
01:50:31.080 Well, thank you very much, man.
01:50:32.480 I appreciate that.
01:50:33.460 And again, I did hear a lot of people say,
01:50:36.380 hey, kind of called that shot.
01:50:38.600 And it wasn't hard.
01:50:40.100 Many people, including Matt here,
01:50:42.080 did exactly the same thing.
01:50:43.780 But people are going to look at who's right
01:50:45.600 and who's wrong.
01:50:46.580 uh, that you just can't spin it that hard. The, the, the, uh, difference is obvious. And, um,
01:50:52.020 you know, if you're still following the people who are incredibly wrong and led you to disaster,
01:50:55.680 well, you deserve what you get. I don't think a lot of people are going to do that.
01:50:59.080 Yeah. I, I don't either because, uh, we, we saw with COVID, we saw with the war we saw with
01:51:03.900 Ukraine that, you know, there are countless personalities and pundits that have been
01:51:07.660 consistently wrong and have led people astray all the time. But Twitter enables you to have
01:51:12.200 a goldfish memory that unfortunately destroys your brain to the point that you uh can't pass
01:51:17.160 the marshmallow test whether on political takes or in real life and uh yeah no i i think that you
01:51:22.860 know for as right as people like you and and others have been signaling the alarm over this
01:51:27.560 issue since the you know february of this year on how this is going to affect the midterms um a lot
01:51:33.380 of people are going to just continue to follow uh the very people that i think led them astray or
01:51:37.980 put them in such a social media bubble that they kind of lost touch with how bad things had gotten
01:51:42.740 liturgical sooner says uh boomers seem to remain stiff-necked do we have a chance here to actually
01:51:49.680 oust the neocons from the gop finally yeah like i said i think the neocon brand is poison and i
01:51:55.820 think 2028 is the last election where boomers are going to matter in a very serious way now
01:52:00.780 there'll be a larger problem because when the boomers die i hate to break this to you but that
01:52:04.380 means the demographic the demographics of your country have shifted even worse but it does mean
01:52:09.800 that many of the legacy complications that come with boomers will be gone from the party so i do
01:52:15.280 think that moment is coming and i encourage people to stay in the fight rather than give up because
01:52:19.880 when that transition moment comes the people who have cemented themselves as positive forces in
01:52:26.040 the right in the conservative movement in the republican party will have their time and i think
01:52:30.340 it's important to be in that position when it comes fixin says great point we have half the
01:52:34.600 whites against us uh yeah legendary nick land uh tweet right never be so racist that you forget
01:52:40.480 that liberal whites are the worst people in the world uh important thing to remember so true
01:52:45.500 so true uh freelancer says all of it was on purpose no one is that stupid enough to use
01:52:52.860 that messaging they threw it plain and simple same as 2018 uh was all of them i disagree lots
01:52:59.160 of people are that stupid. Lots of people are that stupid. I hate to break it to you, but as
01:53:04.420 someone who has got to talk to some of the top echelon of political leadership, it don't get
01:53:10.000 smarter up there. There is no magical wisdom that descends on you when you move into a university
01:53:16.800 or you become a political commentator or a political analyst or an advisor. Lots of stupid
01:53:24.480 people selling the exact junk that people like Ron DeSantis bought into in their failed campaign.
01:53:29.160 so no sorry i understand what you're saying but i don't think it's entirely controlled i do think
01:53:33.780 people are just that stupid uh eric uh can't read the rest of that probably uh just the donation
01:53:40.360 there thank you very much man appreciate that very kind of you all right guys made it through

01:54:09.560 you and have dinner i don't know if you had brought it up on on the the live show yesterday
01:54:12.760 well to tell you how bad immigration has gotten in the united states as i picked up orin from
01:54:17.120 the airport we were stuck in front of someone who was physically incapable of yes you know paying
01:54:22.420 to leave the dfw airport and we had to like wait for three other cars to reverse out and change
01:54:28.100 lanes just to remind this person that we needed to port her so we're not stuck in traffic it was
01:54:33.380 so bad let's just say that there is a making their own time american in the line there oh it was it
01:54:40.400 was so bad it was i'm on my brain the social norms were changing right in front of us oh it was so
01:54:46.080 bad um but no so if you are in the dallas fort worth area this uh saturday um my friend dimes
