00:01:24.000 Alrighty, so the big news of the day is that Joe Biden has basically decided that, remember all that monoclonal antibody stuff that Ron DeSantis was talking about and members of the media were suggesting that he was just sort of making it up.
00:01:35.000 Why aren't you focusing on vaccines?
00:01:36.000 And the answer was, he was focusing on vaccines.
00:01:38.000 And then for people who did not take the vaccine, or for people who got a serious breakthrough infection, or for people who would not take the vaccine, it is very good to have monoclonal antibodies on hand because they are a very effective treatment from Regeneron.
00:01:49.000 So the media immediately Shifted into anti-DeSantis mode, which meant that we were all blowing monoclonal antibodies out of proportion.
00:01:56.000 We really should, you know, it's really not a thing.
00:01:59.000 Why are we focusing on this thing?
00:02:01.000 And not only that, Ron DeSantis is probably doing this because he might own stock in Regeneron or one of his donors owns stock in Regeneron.
00:02:08.000 It's probably all about that.
00:02:09.000 Well, now it turns out, of course, that Ron DeSantis was correct because as he has throughout this pandemic, Ron DeSantis has been following the science.
00:02:16.000 And so he ordered a lot of monoclonal antibody treatment because Florida had a really big spike, you may have noticed, this summer.
00:02:23.000 And the treatments that were available included monoclonal antibodies.
00:02:26.000 Well, now the Biden administration has stepped in and they've said, OK, we're no longer going to allow states to simply order monoclonal antibody treatments.
00:02:32.000 Now we're going to federalize the process and in the process remove doses from places like Florida.
00:02:38.000 Which is pretty obviously a revenge play by the Biden administration against states like Florida and like Texas.
00:02:44.000 Because the idea is that they're going to what?
00:02:47.000 Pick up doses and then not send them where they're most needed?
00:02:49.000 See, here's the thing about the market.
00:02:51.000 Especially when you have states who are competing to get a limited supply of a good.
00:02:55.000 The states that have greater need of the good are generally willing to pay more.
00:02:59.000 The states like Florida that were in dire circumstances should pay money where states like New York were not.
00:03:05.000 And if New York spikes, then New York presumably will want to buy a lot of monoclonal antibody treatments.
00:03:10.000 If states like Vermont, which by the way is 88% of adults in Vermont are now vaxxed and they have their all time high in Delta infections because Delta is infectious and herd immunity seems not to be really a thing when it comes to Delta.
00:03:22.000 If Vermont wants monoclonal antibodies, they should go out and get monoclonal antibodies.
00:03:25.000 But the Biden administration has decided, and it is obvious what they're doing, that they seek to deprive... I mean, at this point, they are basically just rationing medical care.
00:03:33.000 So Breitbart has a very good report.
00:03:36.000 The Biden administration this week slashed the doses of life-saving coronavirus antibody treatment to Florida, giving the state less than half of what is needed for a routine week, prioritizing what they called equitable distribution.
00:03:49.000 Aha, equitable.
00:03:50.000 Not need-based, equitable.
00:03:51.000 Now, you'll remember that in the public health context, the Biden administration, when they use the term equity, what they really mean is we're not going to give this treatment to the people who need it most.
00:03:59.000 We're going to give it to the people we want to have it most.
00:04:02.000 So they did this first when they proposed the CDC that they were going to trench out vaccines, not by age, which is the number one complicating factor for COVID, but instead by race.
00:04:12.000 Remember, they suggested they were going to give a disproportionate number of the vaccines to black Americans, not to elderly Americans, which made no sense because the actual absolute number of black Americans who would then die would be higher Because, again, if you have a certain number of black Americans who are in the plus 65 crowd, those folks are much more likely to die than the 20-year-old black Americans.
00:04:33.000 The CDC didn't care.
00:04:35.000 They were going to try and give a lot of doses to people who are 20 and not a lot of doses to people who are 65.
00:04:40.000 And then there was public outcry and blowback, and the CDC revised its own standards.
00:04:44.000 Whenever they say equity, what they mean is we are not going to actually triage this situation and get the doses where they are most necessary.
00:04:52.000 Instead, we are going to simply focus in on who are our political constituencies and how do we get them what they want.
00:05:00.000 The Biden administration this week began to cut the distribution of monoclonal antibodies to red states like Florida and Alabama, contending those states, including Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, and Louisiana, are comprising two biggest share of the supply in recent weeks, 70%.
00:05:12.000 Okay, well, shouldn't we actually determine the supply by where the hospitalizations and deaths are occurring?
00:05:19.000 Wouldn't that be the way that you normally do this?
00:05:22.000 It's sort of like saying that you have a heavy urban area and a lot of rural areas, and there are a lot of car accidents in the heavy urban area, but we only have a certain number of doctors who are available for car crashes.
00:05:32.000 And we know that in the rural areas, you know, those people are our voters.
00:05:35.000 What if we just send all the doctors for the car crashes out to the rural areas, which have fewer per capita car crashes?
00:05:40.000 And those people in the cities, I mean, they chose to live there, so if they get in a car crash, really kind of their problem, right?
00:05:46.000 A spokesperson for the U.S.
00:05:47.000 Department of Health and Human Services said HHS will determine the amount of product each state and territory receives on a weekly basis.
00:05:54.000 State and territorial health departments will subsequently identify sites that will receive product and how much, the official continued, claiming the system will, quote, help maintain equitable distribution, both geographically and temporally across the country, providing states and territories with consistent, fairly distributed supply over the coming weeks.
00:06:10.000 And all the ambiguity lives in that word, fairly.
00:06:13.000 Because again, normally you don't have to worry about what's fair, you just have to worry about who's sick.
00:06:18.000 As soon as you substitute the word fair for ill in that particular sentence, you have decided that the ill don't matter, all that matters to you is your political priority.
00:06:27.000 Right?
00:06:27.000 Instead, it should be that the geographic and temporal distribution should be rooted in who is ill.
00:06:34.000 Again, they don't care about that, they care about the politics.
00:06:37.000 Governor Ron DeSantis, of course, is cracking back against the Biden administration.
00:06:42.000 By the way, this just demonstrates the lie.
00:06:44.000 Okay, so first of all, you'll go back like a week and a half.
00:06:46.000 Joe Biden is yelling at the unvaccinated.
00:06:48.000 And one of the things he says in his speech yelling at the unvaccinated is we're going to radically ramp up the amount of monoclonal antibody available to people unless you happen to live in a red state, in which case you're screwed.
00:06:58.000 We're increasing the availability of new medicines recommended by real doctors, not conspiracy theorists.
00:07:05.000 The monoclonal antibody treatments have been shown to reduce the risk of hospitalization by up to 70% for unvaccinated people at risk of developing severe disease.
00:07:18.000 We've already distributed 1.4 million courses of these treatments to save lives and reduce the strain on hospitals.
00:07:27.000 So there he was like a week and a half ago talking about how important it is to distribute these monoclonal antibody treatments, right?
00:07:32.000 It's super important to distribute these things.
00:07:35.000 And then he's like, what if we just shifted the way we distribute these things so that the people who are sickest don't get them?
00:07:40.000 And people in blue states do.
00:07:42.000 Donald Trump had done this.
00:07:43.000 You know what the reaction would be.
00:07:44.000 In fact, there were rumors early on, remember?
00:07:46.000 There were all these rumors that Jared Kushner had said, those blue states, they don't need their ventilators.
00:07:49.000 Now, that never happened, right?
00:07:50.000 The blue states got their ventilators.
00:07:52.000 But Joe Biden's actually doing it.
00:07:53.000 Everything they accuse Trump of doing, Biden actually does, and the media cheer like the good little seals that they are.
00:07:58.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second.

00:09:11.000 Head on over to PolicyGenius.com slash Shapiro.
00:09:13.000 Get started right now.
00:09:14.000 PolicyGenius.
00:09:15.000 When it comes to insurance, it's nice and quite important to get it right.
00:09:17.000 Okay, so according to Breitbart, the feds have now delivered less than half of the necessary doses to Florida this week.
00:09:23.000 According to CBS 12, they sent 30,950 doses according to numbers from the governor's office and confirmed by the Department of Health.
00:09:30.000 Normally, the state needs about 72,000 doses a week to meet the current needs on the ground.
00:09:35.000 Christina Pushaw, the press secretary for DeSantis, blasted the Biden administration's move, suggested, quote, every corporate media outlet that publishes sensational stories about overflowing hospitals in the South should first demand answers from the Biden administration about why they are restricting the supply of life-saving COVID treatment to the South.
00:09:50.000 She said, supply of monoclonal antibody treatment to Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and other Southern states restricted by the Biden administration with no real explanation besides equity.
00:09:58.000 How is it equitable to only send treatment for half the Floridians who need it and no state sites in Alabama?
00:10:05.000 So Ron DeSantis slams Joe Biden over all of this, as well he should.
00:10:08.000 Here is DeSantis.
00:10:10.000 We are very, very concerned with the Biden administration and the HHS's recent abrupt, sudden announcement that they are going to dramatically cut the number of monoclonal antibodies that are going to be sent to the state of Florida.
00:10:26.000 We think it'll make a difference in these other states, but man, to just kind of pull the rug out from anyone a week after the president himself said they were going to be increasing the distributions by 50 percent.
00:10:39.000 It's very, very problematic.
00:10:43.000 It is very problematic.
00:10:44.000 And if you look at the timeline, when he says it's abrupt, it is absolutely abrupt.
00:10:48.000 Phil Kirpin, over at the Washington Examiner, he has an entire timeline demonstrating that until like five seconds ago, there was an actual guarantee to Florida that they were going to get a certain number of doses, and then everything just switched.
00:11:03.000 As of September 9th, President Biden announced his path out of the pandemic, a six-pronged, comprehensive national strategy to combat COVID-19.
00:11:08.000 And he announced that they would increase the average weekly pace of shipment of free monoclonal antibody treatment to states by a further 50% in September.
00:11:17.000 And then September 13th, HHS announced they were taking complete control and doing weekly distributions for all states and territories.
00:11:23.000 That same day, that afternoon, the Federal Department of Health The Florida Department of Health rather communicated to HHS the weekly need for just the 25 state-run sites of about 36,000 doses.
00:11:35.000 When HHS mentioned the state receiving the order for all state sites and distributing, the Florida Department of Health specifically asked if such a shift would apply to all facilities in the state providing treatment.
00:11:44.000 HHS said this was not the case and did not provide any indication of any upcoming limitation to supply.
00:11:49.000 And then, the very next day, they sent an email to all stakeholders indicating a shift to an allocation strategy had occurred that day.
00:11:57.000 And they were contradicting what they had just told the Florida Department of Health.
00:12:00.000 This is obviously and eminently political.
00:12:03.000 And what is this really about?
00:12:04.000 This is really about Joe Biden and the Biden administration determining that if you are in a Southern state, you do not deserve the vaccine.
00:12:12.000 This is purely political.
00:12:14.000 Because let's be real about this.
00:12:15.000 There are major population centers in the United States where there's huge levels of vaccine refusal.
00:12:21.000 I'm specifically talking here about black constituencies across the United States.
00:12:26.000 Huge levels of vaccine refusal.
00:12:28.000 And on par or more than quote unquote Trump supporters.
00:12:33.000 And I'm not seeing any talk whatsoever about denying treatment to people based on that.
00:12:38.000 So if the basic idea is that you get COVID because you decided you didn't want to get a vaccine, and then the federal government says, okay, well, you're on your own because you did that, then that should theoretically be equally applied.
00:12:48.000 Otherwise, what's the excuse?
00:12:51.000 Really, what's the excuse?
00:12:53.000 So Biden himself says, well, it's about Texas and Florida refusing quote-unquote life-saving measures.
00:13:00.000 What are these supposed life-saving measures?
00:13:02.000 Things like mask mandates.
00:13:04.000 Now again, mask mandates have been tried in nearly every state in the union.
00:13:08.000 There's very little evidence that mask mandates have done a damn bit of good.
00:13:10.000 When people are scared of the virus, they put on a mask.
00:13:13.000 When they are not scared of the virus, they don't put on the mask.
00:13:15.000 Which is why you see in every state, including New York and California, that after a mask mandate is put in place, usually what happens, there's a big spike.
00:13:21.000 The spike starts to decline.
00:13:23.000 And then a government actor, being late on the ball as always, says, mask mandate.
00:13:27.000 And then the spike continues to decline.
00:13:31.000 We're on the other side of the of the arithmetic curve, right?
00:13:35.000 We're on the other side of the curve already.
00:13:36.000 And they say, well, it was because of this.
00:13:38.000 So the curve looks like this.
00:13:39.000 And then mask mandate comes in here and then just continues to decline.
00:13:42.000 And then three months later, there's a big spike.
00:13:45.000 And where was your mask mandate?
00:13:46.000 Well, very often it was still in place.
00:13:48.000 This is happening all over the place.
00:13:50.000 So he thinks mask mandates are the solution.
00:13:53.000 Or he thinks that forcing businesses to vaccine mandate is gonna make this sort of stuff happen.
00:13:57.000 When the reality is, I mean, I'm talking to people every single day who are vaccine hesitant and all that his vaccine mandate nonsense has done is push these people into a harder position.
00:14:07.000 They've hardened their positions.
00:14:09.000 It's now made them more ideologically prone.
00:14:11.000 To not only refusing the vaccines, but saying, I'm happy to lose my job.
00:14:14.000 You've turned what was a health decision into a liberty decision for a lot of people, and people are going to double down on what I think is a bad decision with regard to vaccines, but an understandable one with regard to liberty.
00:14:24.000 But here's Joe Biden basically saying, you don't deserve to get monoclonal antibody treatment.
00:14:27.000 I mean, that's really what this is about.
00:14:29.000 If you don't do what I want you to do on mask mandates in schools, for example, or if you don't do what I want you to do with regard to vaccine mandates for employers, Now really, if you were about getting the vaccinated vaccinated, and denying them treatment, then there should be a simple, a simple policy, right?
00:14:46.000 It would be a vicious and cruel policy, which is why he doesn't want to do it out loud, but he's just doing it by state, and trying to focus in on red states.
00:14:52.000 But if the simple quote-unquote moral policy here is, you don't get vaccinated, you get the disease, you're on your own, that should equally apply across states, should it not?
00:14:59.000 But it's not.
00:14:59.000 Here's Biden.
00:15:01.000 We're facing a lot of pushback, especially from some of the Republican governors.
00:15:06.000 The governors of Florida and Texas are doing everything they can to undermine the life-saving requirements that I proposed.
00:15:12.000 This is the worst kind of politics.
00:15:15.000 Because it's putting the lives of citizens of their states, especially children, at risk.
00:15:20.000 And I refuse to give in to it.
00:15:22.000 Okay, again, this sort of tyranny from the federal government that Ron DeSantis is the actual tyrant because he refuses to force businesses To mandate that people have vaccines.
00:15:33.000 So, Ron DeSantis says, you're allowed to be free.
00:15:36.000 Make your own call.
00:15:36.000 In the state of Florida, by the way, if you're a business and you want a vaccine mandate, you can still do that.
00:15:40.000 Or you actually can.
00:15:42.000 So Ron DeSantis says that, and Joe Biden's like, he's the tyrant, and it's his fault.
00:15:47.000 So I'm now going to deprive you of the treatment you need.
00:15:49.000 Nowhere else in healthcare, nowhere else in the healthcare field do we do anything like this.
00:15:53.000 It just does not exist.
00:15:55.000 This notion that if you did not take measures to protect yourself, and then you get hurt, or you get sick, we are going to deny you treatment, that does not exist in the healthcare field.
00:16:05.000 My wife, the doctor, heard about this and she said, what in the world is this?
00:16:08.000 What in the world is this notion?
00:16:10.000 That if somebody did not take measures to protect themselves and then they got hurt, that the medical establishment is supposed to refuse them treatment, as opposed to triaging by level of risk to them.
00:16:19.000 Level of risk to their health.
00:16:22.000 Right, well, this doesn't exist in, like, if you're in a car crash and you weren't wearing a seatbelt, and they bring you into the hospital, does anybody go, oh, this jackass wasn't wearing a seatbelt, guess he gets what he deserves?
00:16:32.000 You know, he's got some pressure from a hematoma in his skull, but we're just gonna let that go.
00:16:36.000 And just let that brain bleed continue.
00:16:39.000 No one does this.
00:16:41.000 Okay, but Joe Biden is pretty openly doing this.
00:16:43.000 He's punishing states that don't do what he wants by centralizing monoclonal antibody treatment distribution, when the state of Florida was basically doing it on its own already.
00:16:52.000 The state of Florida was already like, we're getting the doses, guys.
00:16:56.000 The Biden administration says the restrictions are in place to ensure every state can obtain enough of the drug, Florida got about 30,000 doses in the last week.
00:17:03.000 Texas ranked second.
00:17:07.000 The goal here really is that he's trying to cut off DeSantis at the knees.
00:17:10.000 Because here's the nice thing for him, Joe Biden.
00:17:13.000 If things get worse in Florida, which they're not, things are much better in Florida.
00:17:16.000 The strain on the hospital system has been relieved.
00:17:18.000 You can see every single curve, including hospitalization and death in Florida is now down.
00:17:22.000 So we have hit the other side of the curve.
00:17:23.000 We did a couple of weeks ago.
00:17:24.000 In Florida, the next curve is likely, the next big spike is likely to be Midwestern and Northeastern.
00:17:29.000 Okay, but the goal here for Biden is if more people die in Florida, then he doesn't have to worry about running against DeSantis in Florida.
00:17:35.000 It's so overtly political.
00:17:36.000 It's insane.
00:17:38.000 By the way, this has been the shtick all throughout the pandemic.
00:17:41.000 Every death that happened under Trump was Trump's fault.
00:17:43.000 Every death that happens under Biden is governor's fault.
00:17:45.000 That's the way this magic happens, according to the media.
00:17:48.000 Biden tweeted something similar.
00:17:50.000 Here is Joe Biden's tweet yesterday.
00:17:53.000 He tweeted out, Republican governors in states like Texas and Florida are doing everything they can to undermine the public health requirements that keep people safe.
00:17:59.000 Really?
00:18:00.000 Because the rates of vaccination, particularly for the elderly in Florida, stack up pretty well against virtually all other major states in the United States.
00:18:07.000 What are these measures to undermine public health requirements keeping people safe?
00:18:12.000 Forcing people to mask up post-vaccination?
00:18:15.000 Forcing children to mask up sans any evidence?
00:18:18.000 Forcing employers to fire people and take the food off their table if they don't want to get the vaccine?
00:18:23.000 He says they're playing politics with the lives of their citizens, especially children!
00:18:27.000 I refuse to give in to it.
00:18:28.000 Especially children?
00:18:29.000 The f- is he talking about?
00:18:31.000 I've got three kids.
00:18:32.000 His kids are all grown.
00:18:33.000 You think I'm playing politics with my kids?
00:18:35.000 I care about my kids a hell of a lot more than Joe Biden does.
00:18:38.000 And I care about my kids enough to know that my five-year-old should not be forced to wear a mask and eat outside on the pavement every damn day.
00:18:46.000 But apparently I just want to risk the life of my kids, according to Joe Biden.
00:18:50.000 Really incredible stuff.
00:18:51.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second because, again, it comes down to if you oppose Joe Biden, you are bad.
00:18:56.000 He doesn't have to cite science.
00:18:58.000 He doesn't have to cite data.
00:18:59.000 Nothing.
00:19:00.000 All he has to do is say that you are at fault if you wish to live free and make decent health decisions for your family.
00:19:07.000 And then if you get sick, he's going to remove the measures that are available for every other human being, but you don't get it because you refuse to follow his dictates.
00:19:14.000 It's tyrannical garbage.
00:19:16.000 It's more of this in one second.
00:19:17.000 First, let us talk about a simple fact, and that is that you need a better night's sleep.

00:20:21.000 That's helixsleep.com slash Ben for 200 bucks off your mattress order and two free pillows for our listeners.
00:20:28.000 Okay, so the White House is basically admitting what they are doing.
00:20:31.000 So Jen Psaki was asked about this.
00:20:33.000 She said, we're not restricting supply.
00:20:34.000 We're just, you know, restricting supply.
00:20:37.000 Over the last month, given the rise in cases due to the Delta variant and the lower number of vaccination rates in some of these states, like Florida, like Texas, just seven states are making up 70% of the orders.
00:20:49.000 Our supply is not unlimited, and we believe it should be equitable across states across the country.
00:20:57.000 Okay, that's insane.
00:20:58.000 of supply. So why cut them to those states only if there's no replacement?
00:21:01.000 I think our role as the government overseeing the entire country is to be equitable in how we distribute. We're not going to give a greater percentage to Florida over Oklahoma, nor do I think are you suggesting that.
00:21:16.000 Okay, that's insane. The dismissive nastiness of Jen Psaki really is pretty extraordinary.
00:21:22.000 I mean, she's dismissing people dying in hospitals.
00:21:25.000 That's what she's doing right there.
00:21:27.000 It sounds all equitable, equitable, equitable.
00:21:29.000 If you just say equitable over and over enough, then three times and it appears like Betelgeuse.
00:21:34.000 Okay, equity just appears.
00:21:36.000 There's only one problem.
00:21:37.000 You don't trench out treatments by percentage of population.
00:21:42.000 You do it by who has the cases.
00:21:45.000 There's not an ER on planet Earth that would handle this the way that the federal government is handling this.
00:21:50.000 And it is done purely out of spite.
00:21:52.000 That's all this is, and in spite for a particular population, namely people they perceive to be Trump supporters.
00:21:57.000 That is what they are doing.
00:21:58.000 And how do I know that it's about Trump supporters and not mere vaccine hesitancy?
00:22:02.000 Because that is perfectly obvious.
00:22:04.000 They are not equally angry at all people who are hesitant to take the vaccine.
00:22:08.000 Depending on who you are, the White House will be your very bestie.
00:22:11.000 They will call you up.
00:22:12.000 They'll try to massage you into getting the vaccine.
00:22:15.000 Only if you're a White House supporter.
00:22:17.000 If, however, you oppose Joe Biden, then go ahead and die, sucker.
00:22:21.000 As Jimmy Kimmel might put it.
00:22:23.000 Okay, so how do I know this?
00:22:24.000 Because you'll recall that last week there was a fascinating little tete-a-tete between Nicki Minaj and Joy Reid, in which Nicki Minaj tweeted out a bizarre story about her cousin's friend in Trinidad having swollen testicles and impotence because of the vaccine, which of course is silly.
00:22:43.000 There's no scientific evidence that the vaccine causes swollen testicles or impotence.
00:22:48.000 That is a very silly contention.
00:22:50.000 But then Joy Reid sounded off, and she went after Nicki Minaj, and Nicki Minaj said that she was going after her because of her race, and it was all very entertaining.
00:22:57.000 Now, let's assume, for a second, that the person who had tweeted this out was not a famous rap artist, most famous for shaking her posterior and being a Democrat.
00:23:06.000 Let's say, for a second, that this had been a country western star who had said, my cousin down in Alabama got swollen balls from the vaccine.
00:23:16.000 Do you think the White House would have reached out?
00:23:19.000 What do you think?
00:23:20.000 Or do you think it would have earned extraordinary mockery from the White House?
00:23:25.000 I have a feeling I know which way this would go.
00:23:29.000 If somebody on the right had said something as bizarre and stupid as Nicki Minaj, the White House would have said, this is bizarre and stupid and inexcusable because this person has millions and millions of followers.
00:23:38.000 Instead, you get from the White House, yeah, we called up Nicki Minaj.
00:23:43.000 We're trying to talk to Nicki Minaj.
00:23:45.000 Hey, the reason for that is not because of her millions of followers, because again, it depends on who's saying the thing.
00:23:51.000 The reason they're doing this is because Nicki Minaj, they believe, is on their political side of the aisle.
00:23:55.000 So they will give her a lot more credibility, and they will try to talk her into it, and they'll be sweet and nice.
00:23:59.000 Now, here's the thing.
00:24:00.000 They should be nice, and they should be trying to talk people into it, regardless of your political position.
00:24:04.000 As I've said a thousand times, I have individually, on a one-to-one level, tried to talk probably a hundred people into taking the vaccine.
00:24:10.000 And I've been successful maybe 25-30% of the time.
00:24:12.000 Doesn't matter.
00:24:13.000 You still have to talk to people on an individual level.
00:24:14.000 The White House doesn't do that.
00:24:16.000 If you're from Florida, go ahead and die, sucker.
00:24:17.000 And if you're Nicki Minaj, we're gonna call you up and try and... We're gonna try... We're gonna spend an hour explaining to you the data behind vaccinations and ball swelling.
00:24:27.000 Here is... Here is Jen Psaki doing this.
00:24:30.000 It's unreal.
00:24:31.000 We offered a call with Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer questions she had about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.
00:24:40.000 This is pretty standard and something we do all the time.
00:24:43.000 It was a very early stage call at a staff level, staff to staff, and we weren't even at the point of discussing, or not even at the point of discussing, I should say at this point, the mechanisms or the format or anything along those lines.
00:24:56.000 It was simply an offer to have a conversation and an early stage call.
00:25:02.000 Look how sweet they are to Nicki Minaj.
00:25:04.000 Look how sweet they are to particular people who are vaccine hesitant or promoting overt vaccine misinformation like Nicki Minaj did.
00:25:10.000 Look how sweet they're being.
00:25:12.000 However, If Nicki Minaj were a white guy in Florida who refused to take the vaccine, and then got sick, and needed a monoclonal antibody treatment, then well, you know, equity suggests that we have to send this dose to a place that doesn't need it.
00:25:24.000 Because there are no shortages currently in any of these other states, as Jen Psaki overtly admitted.
00:25:29.000 This is just about spite, and it's about ire, and it's about nastiness, and it's about people dying, and they don't care.
00:25:34.000 This administration is a bleep show.
00:25:36.000 It is a highly political bleep show.
00:25:37.000 Again, Jared Kushner was raked over the coals for the suggestion that he was tranching out ventilators, which, by the way, have turned out to be one of the worst things for COVID.
00:25:45.000 But he was ripped up and down for the suggestion that was never verified that he was tranching out ventilators by political preference of states.
00:25:53.000 That wasn't true.
00:25:54.000 He didn't do it.
00:25:56.000 Didn't matter.
00:25:56.000 He was ripped up and down for it, right?
00:25:57.000 He was a bad man.
00:25:59.000 The White House does it openly, openly in front of the press.
00:26:03.000 And everybody's like, well, you know, that's just the way it goes.
00:26:05.000 I mean, Ron DeSantis is a pretty bad guy.
00:26:08.000 Meanwhile, what is all of this really driven by?
00:26:11.000 All of this is driven by a desire to pin the policy failures of this administration on the unvaccinated.
00:26:17.000 The idea is we can never go back to normal until we force everybody to do what we want.
00:26:20.000 And here's the thing.
00:26:21.000 We can.
00:26:22.000 You know how I know that?
00:26:22.000 I live in a state that did.
00:26:24.000 Many states have done this.
00:26:25.000 Many states have... This is particularly true for the vaccinated.
00:26:28.000 If you are vaccinated, this is driving me up a damned wall.
00:26:31.000 If you're vaccinated, you're safe.
00:26:33.000 Stop it.
00:26:34.000 Stop it.
00:26:35.000 Everybody's yelling at the unvaccinated.
00:26:36.000 And I understand.
00:26:37.000 If you're unvaccinated, and you have any sort of pre-existing condition, and if you don't have a pre-existing condition, your chances of a side effect from the vaccine, if you are above the age of 18, are significantly lower than your chances of a side effect from actual COVID itself.
00:26:51.000 The natural immunity you get from COVID is going to be more durable than vaccine, but the chances of you getting super sick from a vaccine are a lot lower than the chances of you getting super sick from COVID.
00:27:00.000 And that's the stat.
00:27:02.000 Now, I understand a lot of people being peeved at the unvaccinated, particularly the unvaccinated who've not already had COVID.
00:27:10.000 If you've already had COVID and people are mad at you, I don't know what to say.
00:27:13.000 Those people are idiots.
00:27:13.000 If you've already had COVID and the notion is you must get vaccinated regardless of whether you have antibodies or T-cell memory, those people are not following the science.
00:27:20.000 But Joe Biden is trying to drive up ire at the unvaccinated.
00:27:24.000 Let me just say this to the vaccinated.
00:27:26.000 You're vaccinated!
00:27:28.000 You're protected!
00:27:29.000 Stop this bulls**t!
00:27:31.000 Seriously, I know people who are like double, triple vaxxed, have had the boosters, and they're still like, I can't go anywhere near anybody.
00:27:37.000 I can't, I can't go anywhere near anyone.
00:27:39.000 I can't, you have to test before we meet.
00:27:41.000 Stop it.
00:27:42.000 You're being paranoid.
00:27:43.000 At a certain point, somebody's gonna have to dose you on the reality.
00:27:46.000 And the reality is, this disease does not kill a huge number of people per thousand, not compared to smallpox, which is a serious disease that killed one third of the population.
00:27:58.000 It is more serious than the flu.
00:28:00.000 Once you have had the vaccine, it is significantly less serious than the flu.
00:28:04.000 This vaccine is a... Why am I the only person who is telling the vaccinated to stop whining?
00:28:11.000 You are now protected.
00:28:13.000 I'm vaccinated.
00:28:14.000 My parents are vaccinated.
00:28:15.000 I am not afraid for them.
00:28:17.000 I'm not.
00:28:19.000 And honest to God, you know who else I am not afraid for?
00:28:21.000 I'm not afraid for my kids.
00:28:22.000 And the reason I'm not afraid for my kids is because I'm looking at the statistics.
00:28:27.000 The media don't want you to look at the stats.
00:28:29.000 They want to focus in on anecdotal evidence.
00:28:30.000 Every day in the media, there's an article about how kids are at significant risk.
00:28:35.000 Kids are going to die.
00:28:36.000 And then you wait for them to cite stats, and there aren't any stats.
00:28:40.000 There's a piece in the Washington Post that says, parenting a child under 12 in the age of Delta.
00:28:44.000 It's like a fire alarm every day.
00:28:46.000 No, it's not.
00:28:47.000 I have three children under the age of 12.
00:28:49.000 You know what would happen if somebody in their class got Delta?
00:28:52.000 Nothing.
00:28:53.000 I'd send them to school the next day because I'm not crazy.
00:28:56.000 But you've driven everybody nuts.
00:28:58.000 The media, the Biden administration, they've driven the vaccinated nuts.
00:29:02.000 I may think it's nutty for a 65-year-old person not to get the vaccine.
00:29:04.000 In fact, I do think it's pretty nutty for a 65-year-old person not to get the vaccine if they've not already had COVID.
00:29:09.000 I think that is bad risk assessment.
00:29:11.000 I think it is similarly nutty, maybe even more nutty, to once you have had the vaccine, spend the rest of your life hiding in a bubble and demanding that the rest of the world cater to you.
00:29:21.000 This is nuts!
00:29:23.000 Stop it!
00:29:24.000 Just stop!
00:29:25.000 Okay, I'm going to read you from this Washington Post article in a second, because it's just an incredible example of how the media are garbage at this.
00:29:30.000 They are garbage.
00:29:31.000 They've scared people into unrational, unreasoning, tyrant-following position.
00:29:37.000 That's all this is at this point.
00:29:39.000 People keep saying, when do we get to go back to normal?
00:29:41.000 Are you vaccinated?
00:29:42.000 The answer is now.
00:29:44.000 And by the way, if you're unvaccinated, you can go back to normal too.

00:31:02.000 Routine outings become tricky decisions for the youngest Americans who are still ineligible for coronavirus vaccines.
00:31:07.000 No, no, actually no.
00:31:09.000 Actually no.
00:31:11.000 Again, I care about my kids a lot more than the Washington Post does.
00:31:15.000 I don't want my five-year-old and seven-year-old to have to mask for the rest of their lives for a disease that by infection fatality rate is less deadly than the flu.
00:31:24.000 My answer to this is no.
00:31:26.000 And if you're living like this, I don't know what to tell you.
00:31:27.000 You're crazy.
00:31:28.000 You're being crazy.
00:31:29.000 You're being paranoid and crazy.
00:31:31.000 How do I know?
00:31:32.000 Because the Washington Post can't cite a single damned statistic in the entire piece.
00:31:35.000 Quote, Greg Otto conducts risk assessment for a living, but the cybersecurity consultant from Springfield never imagined he'd have to do one every time his daughter, six, and son, four, stepped outside the boundaries of their home.
00:31:46.000 Playing with next door neighbors outdoors, acceptable.
00:31:48.000 School, necessary.
00:31:49.000 Eating out, no way!
00:31:52.000 Dance classes were everyone's mask and that were prepaid in June, when the outlook for coronavirus infections seemed more optimistic?
00:31:58.000 On the fence.
00:31:59.000 This is insanity, said Otto, 37.
00:32:00.000 No, you are being insane, Otto!
00:32:04.000 He says parenting a child under 12 can be maddening and scary during normal times, but the Delta variant has taken things to a new level.
00:32:10.000 With a vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 unlikely to be approved for at least a few more months, parents of young children are weighing a dizzying array of variables every day as they try to navigate the risks of COVID against the mental health and physical consequences of social isolation and their own livelihood.
00:32:24.000 Rihanna Contreras, 33, an intellectual property attorney, whose children are 6, 3, and 20 months, said she and her husband, an engineer at Los Alamos National Lab, made the difficult decision to put all three of their kids in school or daycare because of their demanding jobs.
00:32:36.000 But she second guesses the choice every day.
00:32:38.000 I feel like we're constantly reacting, said Contreras.
00:32:41.000 There's not enough time to be proactive.
00:32:43.000 It's like a fire alarm every day.
00:32:45.000 And Crofton, Maryland, Lisa Dykes, a graphic designer and mother of two, aged seven and 11, has been thinking a lot about a cartoon she recently saw that featured a parent staring at a vast ocean.
00:32:54.000 She recalled that it said something like, "'Only 1% of the children "'are going to get eaten by the shark.' "'It's fine, but it's not 1% of the children.'" That's incorrect.
00:33:04.000 Okay, if 1% of kids were dying from COVID after having gotten COVID, then we'd be still socially isolating.
00:33:11.000 That's not the statistic.
00:33:12.000 Out of 73 million Americans in the United States under the age of 18, according to the CDC, last I checked, which was three days ago, 412 deaths. 412.
00:33:27.000 That is not 1 in 100.
00:33:29.000 That's 73 million divided by 412, which is 1 in every 177,184 people under the age of 18.
00:33:40.000 What in the hell are you talking about?
00:33:41.000 Sykes48 said the continued reassurances by health officials and experts that children are at low risk are difficult to relate to when you are faced with your own children.
00:33:50.000 No, it just means you're bad at risk assessment.
00:33:53.000 Because literally, that risk assessment exists every day.
00:33:55.000 You know what's more dangerous than Delta to your kids?
00:33:57.000 Putting your kids in the car and taking them to school.
00:34:00.000 The car ride is probably more dangerous to your kids than actually sending them to school with other kids.
00:34:07.000 Even school, which seemed like a hopeful and sensibly calculated risk in May, she said, now feels like an incredibly dangerous roll of the dice.
00:34:12.000 To whom?
00:34:13.000 To whom?
00:34:16.000 So, finally, they get to the stats.
00:34:19.000 The American Academy of Pediatrics reported over 250,000 new coronavirus infections in children just last week.
00:34:27.000 Nearly 30,000 adolescents and children were hospitalized with COVID in August.
00:34:31.000 Many are on vaccinated teens and tweens, or newborns to 11-year-olds who are not eligible yet for shots.
00:34:36.000 460 have died, representing 0.01% of all child cases.
00:34:38.000 died representing 0.01% of all child cases.
00:34:42.000 Let me translate that 0.01%.
00:34:45.000 1% is one in a hundred point.
00:34:48.000 0.1% is 1 in 1,000.
00:34:50.000 0.01% is 1 in 10,000.
00:34:51.000 1 in 10,000 of the people who have actually been identified as infected.
00:34:57.000 Which is way low!
00:34:58.000 Because you know how many asymptomatic kids are walking around infected?
00:35:01.000 A hell of a lot!
00:35:01.000 So it isn't actually 1 in 10,000.
00:35:04.000 It is 1 in probably 50 or 60,000.
00:35:06.000 Because for every 1 identified case, there are probably 5 that are unidentified.
00:35:10.000 And then the Washington Post just decides to scare you with vagueness.
00:35:14.000 The risks of long COVID in children, which could include respiratory or cardiac problems, fatigue, brain fog, and other symptoms that can last for months or potentially years, remain a big unknown.
00:35:23.000 An Israeli study, one of the first on the topic of 13,864 children published this week, found 11% of those infected had signs of long COVID.
00:35:31.000 However, the Israeli Health Ministry emphasized that some of the children's symptoms may be due to prolonged lockdowns, school closures, and global conflict, including being locked in your basement while Hamas rockets rain down upon your family.
00:35:44.000 Yes, it turns out that it's quite stressful for children not to be allowed to live a regular life.
00:35:48.000 It puts them in a brain fog.
00:35:50.000 Also, why don't we get any comparable statistics?
00:35:55.000 Right before Yom Kippur, I had on Scott Gottlieb, right?
00:35:56.000 Former FDA commissioner.
00:35:57.000 I asked him about this.
00:35:58.000 I asked him about masking children.
00:36:00.000 And he said, well, you know, we've heard studies that suggest that there are some neurological effects to a small percentage of children.
00:36:07.000 Like 2% of kids might have some long lasting symptoms, according to British studies.
00:36:10.000 And that may include some neurological effects.
00:36:12.000 Okay, how about some comps from flu, for example?
00:36:15.000 Because it turns out that pretty much every virus has a small percentage of people who have long lasting effects.
00:36:22.000 There's no evidence that this is Wildly out of proportion with regard to Delta.
00:36:27.000 So again, this is all an attempt to scare the living hell out of you based on, like, they say follow the science and then they don't follow the science and they run articles every day not following the science.
00:36:35.000 By the way, new study today.
00:36:37.000 This is a study from the Lancet that suggests that kids are not transmitting at the same rate as adults.
00:36:44.000 Even in Delta world, few close contacts in school are testing positive.
00:36:49.000 So, you know, I don't know what to tell you.
00:36:51.000 Like, this is all directed at your fellow human beings.
00:36:56.000 At the people who live with you.
00:36:58.000 And all you can do to drive the tyranny is bad medical misinformation.
00:37:03.000 And it's, at this point, man, our society is sick of it except this sort of crap.
00:37:08.000 Seriously.
00:37:09.000 Redistributing monoclonal antibodies, not on the basis of need, but on the basis of politics, is disgusting.
00:37:14.000 Telling people that they ought to be far more scared than they are based on the actual risk numbers is disgusting, and the media are participating in it every day.
00:37:22.000 Just as it is wrong, and was always wrong, to underplay risks of COVID, it is seriously wrong to wildly overplay risks of COVID, particularly for kids, to scare the living hell out of parents, so that they do unreasonable things that damage their children.
00:37:33.000 It's dumb and it's wrong.
00:37:36.000 But that's what the Biden administration wants to do.
00:37:37.000 Our pure, spiteful politics.
00:37:40.000 It's amazing.
00:37:41.000 All the things they accuse Trump of doing, they do themselves.
00:37:43.000 It is all projection.
00:37:45.000 In just a second, we'll get to the Biden's border activity.
00:37:48.000 Because let me just tell you, what they're doing on the border right now, similarly crazy, similarly tyrannical.
00:37:53.000 We'll get to that in one second first.
00:37:54.000 The Ben Shapiro Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University.
00:37:57.000 It's an affordable Christian university, one of the largest, fastest growing universities in the country.
00:38:01.000 It's located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona.
00:38:03.000 GCU is ranked top 20 For best college campuses in America, it offers over 275 engaging academic programs with over 240 online.
00:38:11.000 GCU integrates the free market system with a welcoming Christian worldview perspective into its academic programs, so you can put your faith into action and help transform communities.
00:38:20.000 In 2020, GCU students received over $290 million in scholarships, with many attending GCU for less than the cost of a state university.
00:38:27.000 I've been to GCU.
00:38:27.000 It is a gorgeous campus.
00:38:29.000 The kids there are wonderful.
00:38:30.000 Great classes.
00:38:31.000 Terrific population.
00:38:32.000 You're gonna love going there.
00:38:33.000 If you're looking at college, you really should be checking out GCU.
00:38:36.000 Find your purpose at GCU.
00:38:37.000 Private.
00:38:38.000 Christian.
00:38:38.000 Affordable.
00:38:39.000 Visit gcu.edu to see what scholarships you qualify for.
00:38:43.000 And that's gcu.edu.
00:38:45.000 slash my offer and see if you qualify for some of their scholarships. Again, they give out hundreds of millions of dollars in scholarships every single year. gcu.edu slash my offer to get started. All righty, in just one second we'll get to Joe Biden and the border because that's another disaster on his hands. One thing is obvious.
00:39:02.000 Biden has made one thing incredibly clear.
00:39:03.000 He's going full authoritarian.
00:39:05.000 The vaccine mandate is just the beginning.
00:39:06.000 Last Thursday, he announced his plan to mandate vaccines for all companies with over 100 employees or force them to test for COVID at least once a week.
00:39:12.000 Many companies are actually forcing their employees to pay for the test.
00:39:15.000 The Daily Wire has over 100 employees.
00:39:17.000 So we are one of the companies who have been mandated by this idiotic federal government.
00:39:22.000 We are not doing this.
00:39:23.000 We are going to sue them.
00:39:24.000 The minute they come down with a regulation, we'll find ourselves in court.
00:39:26.000 So let me remind you, I am vaccinated.
00:39:29.000 I love the vaccine.
00:39:30.000 I can't say this enough because Joy Reid will just lie about me on MSNBC like she did last night on Yom Kippur.
00:39:34.000 Okay, I am vaccinated.
00:39:36.000 No one on planet Earth is as pro-vaccine as I am apparently.
00:39:40.000 Because I am not only vaccinated, I believe they work and act accordingly.
00:39:44.000 But here's the thing.
00:39:45.000 I'm not going to get on board with a mandate that is authoritarian, especially because the vaccines work.
00:39:49.000 So here at The Daily Wire, we're not doing this.
00:39:51.000 For this, we could face up to a $14,000 fine for every violation.
00:39:55.000 I can't think of a better reason to let the fines pile up than for opposing medical tyranny and the erasure of freedom.
00:39:59.000 So we are calling on all who are listening to help us fight this obscene and tyrannical mandate.
00:40:02.000 If you join us as a Daily Wire member right now, You'll be giving us the resources we need to stop this nonsense, take it all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.
00:40:09.000 Go to dailywire.com slash subscribe, use code DONOTCOMPLY at checkout for 25% off.
00:40:15.000 Americans have been ceding their freedoms to authoritarian bureaucrats in the name of public health over and over and over again.
00:40:20.000 So, it's time to stand up.
00:40:22.000 Stand with us as Daily Wire, and with your fellow Americans, you are listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:40:29.000 Meanwhile, on the border, we have a continuing slow rolling crisis that has been completely ignored by the media because Kamala Harris solves it right.
00:40:39.000 I mean, we sent our wonderful vice president down to the border to laugh at it and went away after she laughed, apparently.
00:40:46.000 Or alternatively, we have thousands of people who are being held under an overpass.
00:40:51.000 In Texas, right now, according to the Daily Wire, the Biden administration has now moved to shut down drones flying in an area along the U.S.
00:40:58.000 southern border, where the administration has thousands upon thousands of migrants being held under an overpass.
00:41:02.000 So it's basically like Los Angeles.
00:41:04.000 Fox News reported that according to law enforcement sources, the majority of those being held under the overpass are Haitian.
00:41:09.000 The report comes as the Biden administration once again suffered a catastrophic month at the border for the month of August, according to reports this week.
00:41:15.000 Fox News reporter Bill Malugan tweeted, quote, We've learned that the FAA just implemented a two-week temporary flight restriction over the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas, meaning we can no longer fly our Fox drone over it to show images of the thousands of migrants.
00:41:29.000 Why?
00:41:29.000 FAA says special security reason.
00:41:33.000 So they don't want any pictures of the thousands of migrants who are now being housed under an overpass because of this ridiculous, derelict administration.
00:41:40.000 Milugin said, quote, Fox News has been covering the border nonstop for almost seven months now.
00:41:44.000 We use the drone constantly.
00:41:45.000 It's never been an issue.
00:41:46.000 The Border Patrol requested a temporary flight restriction due to drones interfering with law enforcement flights on the border.
00:41:52.000 As with any temporary flight restriction, media is able to call the FAA to make requests to operate in the area.
00:41:58.000 Earlier in the day, he had tweeted, our drone is back over the international bridge in Del Rio.
00:42:02.000 Per source, the number of migrants waiting to be processed has now swelled to 8,200.
00:42:06.000 It was 4,000 yesterday, doubled in one day.
00:42:08.000 Border patrol is overwhelmed.
00:42:09.000 I'm told the situation is out of control.
00:42:12.000 According to Malugan, law enforcement source on the ground at the bridge this morning just sent me a video showing the situation there.
00:42:17.000 I'm told a large majority of the migrants are Haitians.
00:42:19.000 More are crossing into the U.S.
00:42:20.000 and arriving at the bridge.
00:42:21.000 By the minute, border patrol is limited in its manpower.
00:42:26.000 So there are currently 8,000 migrants waiting to be processed.
00:42:30.000 Fox News reports there were more than 200,000 migrant encounters at the southern border in August.
00:42:36.000 That's according to a DH source, told Fox News on Wednesday, the second month in a row where the number has been over the 200,000 mark as migrants continue to attempt to enter the United States.
00:42:44.000 Additionally, the 209,000 number for August represents a 317% increase over last August 2020, which saw 50,000 encounters.
00:42:54.000 So that is a rather large increase.
00:42:57.000 Chad Wolf, the former DHS secretary, slammed the administration saying Biden's failed border patrol policies are simply unsustainable, which of course is true.
00:43:05.000 They basically opened the door and said, come right in, and then occasionally said, well, you might want to slow that down and it's not working.
00:43:11.000 So Joe Biden has a solution for all this, and that is just continue spending the money.
00:43:15.000 So we've had some pretty significant inflation.
00:43:17.000 I've been less worried about the inflation all along, and I've said this on the show many times, than I have about the stagnation that is likely to follow the inflation.
00:43:24.000 What happens when the federal government is trying to shovel money out the door, not only via direct stimulus, but via zero interest rates or negative interest rates, and nobody's taking the loans?
00:43:34.000 What happens then?
00:43:35.000 What happens if the demand is not pressed forward because there is no new product being developed because of all the regulations and restrictions being put on businesses and the taxes being put on businesses?
00:43:44.000 What happens then?
00:43:46.000 That's the real question.
00:43:48.000 Joe Biden, however, has an idiotic idea, and that is if he tosses more money into the economy, somehow this will stop inflation, which must make sense in his adult brain.
00:43:55.000 My Republican friends talk a lot about inflation.
00:43:58.000 But if you want to talk about actually lowering the cost of living for people in this country, my plan does just that.
00:44:05.000 By strengthening the capacity of our economy, we'll also reduce inflationary pressures over the long run.
00:44:15.000 Oh, it's going to reduce inflation.
00:44:17.000 Amazing.
00:44:18.000 Well, throwing money at things reduces inflation.
00:44:20.000 Who knew?
00:44:21.000 Who knew?
00:44:21.000 This is a new idea of how inflation gets reduced when literally the definition of inflation is too many dollars following too little product.
00:44:27.000 My plan is paid for.
00:44:28.000 You know what? This is fiscally responsible.
00:44:30.000 Yes, nothing says fiscal responsibility quite like blowing out the spending in the middle of an inflationary cycle, in the middle of a natural economic recovery because of the greatest artificial shock to an economy in the history of the world.
00:44:41.000 Here's Joe Biden, fiscal responsibility, like everything he says, just think the opposite.
00:44:45.000 And you're pretty much on target.
00:44:46.000 My plan is paid for.
00:44:50.000 It's fiscally responsible because our investments are paid for by making sure the corporations wealthy Americans pay their fair share.
00:44:59.000 Second, we're not going to raise taxes on anyone making under $400,000.
00:45:03.000 That's a lot of money.
00:45:06.000 Some of my liberal friends are saying it should be lower than that.
00:45:10.000 But only corporations and people making over $400,000 a year are going to pay any additional tax.
00:45:17.000 Okay, that's a lie.
00:45:18.000 He's not telling you the truth.
00:45:19.000 He has a bunch of tobacco taxes in there.
00:45:21.000 Also, when you tax corporations, what do they do?
00:45:23.000 They lower salary to compensate.
00:45:24.000 They raise prices to compensate.
00:45:27.000 Direct taxation is not the only way to raise taxes on people and force them to pay more money.
00:45:33.000 His approval rating, not coincidentally, is now at the lowest point of his presidency.
00:45:37.000 That, of course, is not a great shock.
00:45:38.000 50% is approving, 44% approving.
00:45:41.000 Okay, so let's talk about that.
00:45:43.000 Why is Joe Biden's approval rating in the toilet?
00:45:44.000 Well, it's in the toilet because, again, we were promised two things.
00:45:46.000 A dead president and a president who is not going to do a lot of things.
00:45:49.000 We thought those were the same thing.
00:45:50.000 Wrong!
00:45:51.000 It turns out that the president being not alive and the president doing things are actually not mutually exclusive.
00:45:57.000 You can have a dead president who does a lot of stuff, as it turns out.
00:46:00.000 He is pushing an unsustainable policy that is rooted, again, in radical leftist groupthink.
00:46:07.000 The key is, he's not talking about economic growth.
00:46:09.000 He doesn't care about economic growth.
00:46:11.000 He's talking openly about quote-unquote fairness.
00:46:13.000 Whenever the left says fairness, understand that their fairness comes at real cost to somebody.
00:46:17.000 If they're talking about vaccine equity, they're talking about somebody dying who shouldn't have to die because their notions of fairness ought to trump that person's life.
00:46:24.000 When they talk about tax equity, they don't mean that you should pay a percentage of your income Equivalent to your percentage of the income that you make on a global basis.
00:46:36.000 They don't mean that.
00:46:37.000 They don't mean that you should pay a flat rate across because that's what percentages are.
00:46:40.000 They are flat rates.
00:46:42.000 They don't mean that.
00:46:43.000 When they say fairness, what they actually mean is they don't care if they kill the economy so long as they get to go after people they don't like.
00:46:48.000 They get to go after the rich and eat the rich.
00:46:50.000 That's all they care about.
00:46:51.000 As someone aptly pointed out after the irrepressible Incredible.
00:46:57.000 Incomparable.
00:46:58.000 So fresh, so face.
00:46:59.000 AOC wore a dress reading tax the rich to the Met Gala.
00:47:03.000 You'll notice that her dress didn't read help the poor.
00:47:07.000 It is all about spite for the rich.
00:47:07.000 Correct.
00:47:08.000 It's all about if you earn a lot of money in this country, there's a group of people who hate your gut.
00:47:12.000 Unless you're a big celebrity who pats them on the head and tells them what a wonderful person they are.
00:47:16.000 And that way you can earn your way out of the ire of people like AOC and you can hobnob with her and take some pictures.
00:47:20.000 It's pretty great.
00:47:21.000 But it really is about spite.
00:47:23.000 Fairness for the left means spite for the radical left.
00:47:26.000 It does not mean economic growth.
00:47:28.000 It does not mean any articulable principle of actual equality.
00:47:34.000 It just means spite.
00:47:35.000 So here is Joe Biden being spiteful.
00:47:37.000 He says, I need to raise taxes on billionaires because billionaires are making too much money.
00:47:40.000 And in the process, you'll see he conflates two forms of moneymaking, income and wealth.
00:47:44.000 These are not the same thing.
00:47:46.000 Here he is conflating them.
00:47:49.000 CEOs used to make about 20 times the average worker in the company that they ran.
00:47:55.000 Today, they make more than 350 times what the average worker in their corporation makes.
00:48:02.000 Since the pandemic began, billionaires have seen their wealth go up by $1.8 trillion.
00:48:11.000 That is, everyone who was a billionaire before the pandemic began, the total accumulated wealth beyond the billions they already had, Okay, well, actually, when he says simply not fair, I don't know what his alternative is.
00:48:31.000 So if you want to say simply not fair for big companies to be worth more money, then maybe you shouldn't have shut down the entire damned economy on behalf of the wealthy.
00:48:39.000 Maybe you shouldn't have done that.
00:48:40.000 See, I can tell you what's particularly inequitable about what Joe Biden has done policy-wise, and that is he's currently putting mandates on all businesses above 100 employees, which is a lot of mid-sized and fairly small businesses, for the benefit of giant businesses who are all perfectly happy with Joe Biden.
00:48:57.000 They're all perfectly overjoyed with Joe Biden for doing this.
00:49:01.000 Joe Biden is happy with regulatory capture on behalf of giant corporations that then donate money to him.
00:49:06.000 He's taken half of the small businesses in the country off the table.
00:49:09.000 Blue state governors continue to do so on behalf of giant companies that can absorb some cost in order to knock their competitors out of the business.
00:49:16.000 So if you want to talk about inequitable distribution, you might want to talk about regulation that is specifically designed to help the biggest players while killing the people in the middle.
00:49:24.000 But that's not what he's talking about.
00:49:25.000 He's saying that whatever company exists at the top, whether it is justified or not, that company being wealthier needs to pay more taxes.
00:49:33.000 Okay, wealth is not income.
00:49:35.000 If you own a house in the United States today, you are wealthier than you were two years ago.
00:49:40.000 Now you might be unemployed now and you weren't unemployed two years ago.
00:49:42.000 So long as you've been paying that mortgage and you still own your house, you're wealthier because the real estate prices went up.
00:49:48.000 Should you pay taxes on that?
00:49:50.000 Nope.
00:49:51.000 You should not, because you did not realize the gain.
00:49:54.000 The difference between wealth and income is constantly being elided by Democrats.
00:49:59.000 They'll say things like, well, you know, that person has a lot of wealth.
00:50:01.000 This is what Elizabeth Warren does.
00:50:02.000 She has, this person has a lot of wealth.
00:50:04.000 It's a lot of, like Mark Zuckerberg, that dude is worth a hundred billion dollars.
00:50:09.000 Okay, when you say worth a hundred billion dollars, you mean he owns, at the currently valued stock price, a hundred billion dollars of Facebook stock.
00:50:16.000 Now, is he liquid?
00:50:18.000 Has he realized the purchase price of that stock?
00:50:21.000 The answer is no.
00:50:22.000 Because the minute, let's say that Mark Zuckerberg decided, I'm selling all my stock in Facebook, that stock would not be worth $100 billion.
00:50:28.000 Because his mere selling of his stock would tank the stock.
00:50:32.000 Pretending that wealth and income are the same thing is idiotic.
00:50:35.000 As I mentioned, you might be very wealthy by Elizabeth Warren standards because you're worth hundreds of thousands of dollars because you own a house.
00:50:42.000 Have you sold the house?
00:50:43.000 Have you taken out money against the house?
00:50:45.000 If not, you're not realizing the value of the house, are you?
00:50:48.000 The same thing is true in the stock market.
00:50:49.000 If you haven't sold your stock, you've not realized the gain or loss.
00:50:52.000 And yet this is the game that Joe Biden wants to play, for fairness purposes.
00:50:55.000 And when he says that CEOs are now earning so much more than employees, yes, because they run much larger companies than they did 20, 30 years ago.
00:51:03.000 It turns out that the people who are making policy for thousands of employees tend to earn proportionally a lot more than people who are making policy for four employees.
00:51:12.000 That is not a shock.
00:51:14.000 That is because they are charged with making sure that all of those people get paid.
00:51:17.000 It's a much larger job requiring much larger decisions that impact many, many more people.
00:51:24.000 But again, none of this matters.
00:51:26.000 The world of economic reality Makes no difference to Joe Biden.
00:51:30.000 It is completely useless.
00:51:31.000 By the way, when he talks about CEO pay, very often he's not talking about yearly salary.
00:51:35.000 Many of the CEOs take $1 salaries.
00:51:37.000 He's talking about things like stock options.
00:51:39.000 He's talking about things like parachute plans.
00:51:41.000 And these are all ways that you woo CEOs.
00:51:43.000 None of this is fiscally responsible.
00:51:45.000 All of it is simple pandering.
00:51:47.000 So it is no shock that you are seeing quote-unquote moderate senators like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema basically being like, nope, we're not doing any of this crap.
00:51:55.000 According to the Washington Post, Senate Democrats were riding high on the afternoon of July 28th.
00:51:59.000 A long-delayed bipartisan infrastructure package had finally come together, with many senators eager to finish that bill and move forward with a multi-trillion-dollar piece of economic, climate, and social legislation, President Biden's signature Build Back Better plan.
00:52:10.000 But one senator, Senator Kyrsten Sinema, punctured the gleeful atmosphere with a warning shot.
00:52:15.000 While Democratic members of the Senate Budget Committee may have agreed on the size of the second bill, she had not.
00:52:19.000 She said, I don't support a bill that costs $3.5 trillion.
00:52:23.000 Cinema said in a statement that struck some of her fellow Democrats as poorly timed.
00:52:27.000 Oh no, it was well timed.
00:52:29.000 She was saying the only way we're getting the infrastructure package is if you shrink this other package over here.
00:52:32.000 And meanwhile, the progressives are like, we don't like that, so we're not going to do it.
00:52:37.000 Cinema has stayed silent on all of this.
00:52:38.000 Mansion has been out front taking the bullets.
00:52:40.000 Mansion's been saying, no, I'm not going along with this $3.5 trillion plan.
00:52:45.000 And this is all getting wrapped up into tax debate as well, because Cinema and Mansion are not on board with these massive tax increases that would make our corporate tax rate higher than China's.
00:52:56.000 Meanwhile, the Democrats are facing a bit of a deadline here.
00:52:58.000 Again, you wonder why Joe Biden is failing?
00:53:00.000 Because he's failing on every front.
00:53:01.000 There is not a front on which Joe Biden is succeeding right now.
00:53:03.000 Not one.
00:53:04.000 It's why he's getting desperate.
00:53:05.000 It's why he's blaming his fellow Americans.
00:53:07.000 It's why he's blaming Americans left in Afghanistan for being left in Afghanistan.
00:53:10.000 It's why he's blaming the unvaccinated for his own failure to simply say to people, once you're vaccinated, go out and live your life, which is a very easy thing to say.
00:53:17.000 And he's failing when it comes to his fiscal policy.
00:53:20.000 Right now, Democrats have a world of hurt on their hands because the debt ceiling debate is about to happen.
00:53:24.000 They have the votes to pass the debt ceiling, but they're not going to, and they're going to try and blame Republicans for it.
00:53:29.000 It's not going to work because they have a majority in the Senate, a majority in the House.
00:53:33.000 According to Politico, Democrats are taking their first concrete steps to avert a government shutdown in two weeks, even as they struggle to wrangle a master plan for handling multiple fiscal cliffs ahead.
00:53:43.000 President Joe Biden held a joint call with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday afternoon, while top Democrats mulled their options for handling both the September 30th funding deadline and the impending debt cliff.
00:53:54.000 The House Rules Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday to tee up the stopgap spending bill for a floor vote next week.
00:54:00.000 Text of that funding measure has not been released.
00:54:02.000 The patch is likely to keep government agencies open into December, setting up another critical funding deadline ahead of the holidays.
00:54:07.000 Top lawmakers are leaning toward December 10th for the end date, but have also left open December 3rd as a possibility.
00:54:14.000 Meanwhile, majority party leaders are deciding whether to pair the must-pass funding package to avoid a shutdown with a measure to tackle the approaching debt cliff.
00:54:22.000 Republicans say we're going to reject this.
00:54:24.000 It will allow you to continue paying the bills for now, but we're not going to raise the debt ceiling for you.
00:54:28.000 A bill that addresses both fiscal threats would likely pass the House, but the odds are highly questionable in the Senate, where all but four GOP lawmakers have promised to vote against raising the debt limit.
00:54:37.000 The premise that Republicans are not going to vote in any way, shape, or form or fashion for a debt limit increase is the correct premise.
00:54:42.000 That's not happening.
00:54:44.000 Democrats would be remiss to pass the funding bill without debt limit action, since the Treasury Department is expected to run out of borrowing ability sometime next month, a breaking point likely to trigger economic turmoil.
00:54:54.000 Majority party leaders can maximize their leverage over Republicans by coupling the issues, forcing GOP lawmakers to either fall in line or go on record against billions of dollars in disaster aid, preventing a government shutdown and avoiding debt default.
00:55:05.000 So Republicans are saying, listen, we're not raising the debt limit just so that you guys can blow out the spending some more.
00:55:09.000 We're not going to do that.
00:55:10.000 So Democrats are like, okay, fine.
00:55:11.000 What we'll do is we'll pass one bill.
00:55:13.000 It includes a bunch of government spending you guys want and increasing the debt limit.
00:55:17.000 And Republicans are like, fine, do it.
00:55:18.000 We'll just vote against it.
00:55:20.000 Ben Cardin says the debt limit is something we should do almost automatically.
00:55:23.000 Any opportunity we have to pass it, the sooner the better.
00:55:25.000 Wherever we can get a bill in, I hope we can get the debt ceiling included in it.
00:55:31.000 Earlier this week, some Senate Republicans indicated a willingness to support a stopgap bill, including billions of bucks in hurricane and flood relief requested by Biden.
00:55:38.000 But any measure to raise or suspend the debt limit must be left off, said GOP lawmakers, insisting the Democrats handle this issue alone, since the majority party is pursuing multi-trillion dollar spending plans without Republican support.
00:55:49.000 So in other words, we're not going to raise the debt limit just so you guys can ram through a giant $3.5 trillion package.
00:55:57.000 Senator Chuck Grassley, he said he's not going to support a continuing resolution this way.
00:56:00.000 He says the debt limit is all justifying the robbing the bank to spend a whole bunch of new social programs that are going to feed the fires of inflation.
00:56:09.000 So Democrats are basically left with a choice.
00:56:11.000 Do they go for Joe Biden's $3.5 trillion plan and not get the debt limit increase because they don't have the 60 votes necessary to move past the filibuster?
00:56:20.000 Or do they kill Joe Biden's signature spending bill, which by the way, doesn't even have Democratic support.
00:56:24.000 Manchin and Sinema aren't on board.
00:56:27.000 There's a reason why Joe Biden's ratings are down, and you can sense the media starting to get itchy.
00:56:32.000 NBC's Kelly O'Donnell actually had the temerity to ask the White House why Joe Biden coughed so much yesterday.
00:56:37.000 Here was that.
00:56:39.000 We've seen him on many occasions where he has a repeated cough.
00:56:43.000 What is the situation with that cough and is that a concern?
00:56:46.000 I don't think it's an issue of concern.
00:56:48.000 I think there are a range of reasons why we may need to clear our throat or we may have a little light cold.
00:56:54.000 And that's certainly something that presidents, elected officials, reporters, spokespeople can confront.
00:57:00.000 But it's not an area where we have a medical concern.
00:57:04.000 And the fact that people are asking, that is just a cover for the fact that people on the left, in the media, they're sensing this guy is toast.
00:57:12.000 He's got a real problem on his hands.
00:57:13.000 Joe Biden does not have a floor.
00:57:14.000 He only has a ceiling.
00:57:17.000 Obama had a floor and a ceiling.
00:57:18.000 Trump had a floor and a ceiling.
00:57:19.000 Joe Biden has a ceiling in terms of approval rating, but no floor.
00:57:22.000 That's a real problem for them, and they know it.
