00:00:00.000 According to the left, Elon Musk only wants free speech on Twitter so he can help racists.
00:00:05.000 The economy slows as the White House announces the possibility of relieving student loan debt and also raising taxes.
00:00:10.000 And we examine the mystery of Joe Biden's missing millions.
00:00:13.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:00:13.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:00:14.000 The Ben Shapiro Show is sponsored by ExpressVPN.
00:00:22.000 Privacy is a right, not a privilege.
00:00:23.000 Defend your rights at ExpressVPN.com slash Ben.
00:00:26.000 So, we are in really, really rough economic waters right now.
00:00:29.000 Inflation is charting at 40-year highs.
00:00:32.000 That paper money in your wallet, it is losing value like the Russian ruble is losing value.
00:00:37.000 This would be an excellent time for you to diversify at least a little bit out of your stocks, which are really failing right now.
00:00:42.000 And into a tax-sheltered account with Birch Gold.
00:00:46.000 I've been telling you for over five years you can buy gold from Birch Gold.
00:00:49.000 It's a hedge against inflation and market uncertainty.
00:00:51.000 An ounce of gold today is worth $1,900.
00:00:52.000 It was worth $300 an ounce in 2000.
00:00:55.000 And there's another way to hedge against inflation.
00:00:57.000 Buy silver from Birch Gold.
00:00:59.000 Silver is also considered real money.
00:01:00.000 Historically speaking, it's really undervalued right now.
00:01:03.000 It's an industrial metal high in demand for everything from electric cars to solar panels.
00:01:06.000 And demand is only going to rise.
00:01:08.000 Some analysts suggest there's an unusual dislocation in price that might present some real opportunities for silver to rally over the next couple of years.
00:01:14.000 And again, silver, like gold, never going to zero.
00:01:16.000 So.
00:01:17.000 Call Birch Gold.
00:01:17.000 They're the company I trust with precious metals investing.
00:01:20.000 Don't wait.
00:01:20.000 Start diversifying.
00:01:21.000 Text Ben to 989898.
00:01:23.000 Get a free information kit on buying gold or silver in a tax sheltered account.
00:01:27.000 No obligation to get this information.
00:01:28.000 Text Ben to 989898.
00:01:29.000 Get your free information kit right now.
00:01:32.000 Oh, the wailing.
00:01:34.000 Oh, the moaning.
00:01:35.000 Oh, the gnashing of the teeth.
00:01:36.000 Elon Musk taking over Twitter has people very, very hot and bothered over on the left, including many of the people who work inside at Twitter.
00:01:44.000 So the media, of course, very upset because their favorite playground, the place where they trade all of their insults for the right, in an echo chamber protected by the algorithms of Twitter, Those are going to go away.
00:01:55.000 Those algorithms are going to change.
00:01:57.000 People might be allowed to criticize them.
00:01:58.000 People might tweet things they don't like, and those tweets might actually get attention.
00:02:01.000 I will note that over the past 48 hours since the announcement that Elon Musk was taking over Twitter, I've personally picked up something like 200,000 followers.
00:02:10.000 On Twitter.
00:02:10.000 And my tweets are probably getting 10 times the exposure that they were getting before.
00:02:13.000 I would think that that has something to do, not with Elon Musk actually changing the algorithm, but with the sort of document shredding that is going on inside Twitter right now.
00:02:22.000 The fear is that Elon Musk is going to come in.
00:02:23.000 There will be some sort of truth and reconciliation commission where we finally learn who was shadow banned and whose traffic was being throttled and all the rest.
00:02:30.000 And so now, all of a sudden, some of the limits are coming off.
00:02:32.000 I would imagine that's one of the things that's happening.
00:02:35.000 Twitter is lying about this, I think.
00:02:36.000 They're saying that this is all organic.
00:02:38.000 So the loss of followers for Taylor Swift and the consummate pickup of followers for people like me, that's all organic.
00:02:44.000 That right-wingers are joining the platform by the hundreds of thousands and left-wingers are leaving the platform by the hundreds of thousands.
00:02:50.000 I have serious doubts about that.
00:02:52.000 I have more confidence that it's algorithmic in nature.
00:02:55.000 But here is the bottom line.
00:02:57.000 For a lot of folks on the left, this is a tragedy.
00:02:59.000 And the fact they're treating it as a tragedy demonstrates what they always thought of Twitter secretly.
00:03:03.000 They kept saying, it's all in your head.
00:03:05.000 It's all in your head.
00:03:05.000 It's all Twitter.
00:03:06.000 You say that Twitter is biased against conservatives.
00:03:08.000 That's because you're crazy.
00:03:09.000 It's because you're projecting.
00:03:11.000 It's because you're paranoid.
00:03:12.000 And then the minute Elon Musk comes in and he says, you know what?
00:03:14.000 We're going to just let people see what they want to see.
00:03:16.000 The left goes absolutely ape bleep.
00:03:19.000 And of course, this means that they pull out their favorite, their favorite rubrics.
00:03:24.000 They talk about how This is going to lead to increased violence.
00:03:27.000 If people are allowed to see things, this might lead to increased violence.
00:03:31.000 We get accusations of evil racism from Elon Musk.
00:03:38.000 And it's led by some of the people who are working for Twitter.
00:03:40.000 I mean, as I said yesterday, when Elon Musk comes in, he needs to clean house.
00:03:43.000 And people are like, oh, you're saying he should fire people over politics.
00:03:46.000 I'm saying he should fire people who are not in consonance with his vision, because this is what every CEO does at every company.
00:03:52.000 Some of the internal audio from the chief operating officers at Twitter before Musk's takeover.
00:04:00.000 Should be disturbing to Musk when he comes in. So that includes Leslie Berland, the CMO over at Twitter. This is audio that was revealed by Project Veritas yesterday, a leaked audio of internal meeting April 25, 2022. Here's Leslie Berland, the CMO of Twitter.
00:04:13.000 Berland made it clear in public that a large part of the reason he bought the platform was because of our moderation policies and disagreements in how we deal with health.
00:04:23.000 This puts Twitter service and trust and safety, as well as anybody who cares about health on the platform, in a very difficult position. I believe Twitter grows as a service.
00:04:33.000 He's a paragaggero of a CEO. We use the product and have a better experience because we're able to make the conversation on Twitter be safe because we have built tools, processes for people to be able.
00:04:47.000 Okay, control their experiences is the whole point.
00:04:52.000 No, you can't.
00:04:53.000 I mean, you can mute accounts.
00:04:53.000 You can't.
00:04:54.000 I mute accounts all the time.
00:04:56.000 I never block anybody.
00:04:56.000 Everybody's free to see whatever I tweet, but I don't have to hear from them because frankly, I don't care what many of them say.
00:05:02.000 But the folks over at Twitter, when they say that you can control your user experience, no, you really can't.
00:05:07.000 You really can't.
00:05:08.000 They decide what gets exposure and what does not.
00:05:10.000 They decide what trends and what does not and how it will trend.
00:05:14.000 And when you hear the CEO talking about safety, and when you hear the CMO, the Chief Marketing Officer over at Twitter, talking about health and how troubling it's going to be that someone's going to come in and challenge the health of Twitter, they're saying that their way of policing speech makes for a healthy conversation.
00:05:30.000 And if anybody else wants less policing of speech, there'll be a lack of health in the conversation.
00:05:34.000 Who decides what makes for a healthy conversation?
00:05:37.000 You?
00:05:38.000 The Twitter employees who donated at a 98.7% clip to Democrats in the last election cycle?
00:05:44.000 Might that have something to do with the internal political bias?
00:05:48.000 Meanwhile, the top lawyer for Twitter was apparently openly weeping during meetings yesterday.
00:05:54.000 According to Politico, Monday was an emotional day at Twitter, even for its executives.
00:05:57.000 Shortly after billionaire Elon Musk bought the powerful social media platform, top Twitter lawyer Zheya Gady called a virtual meeting with the policy and legal teams she oversees to discuss what the new ownership could mean for them.
00:06:08.000 Gady cried during the meeting as she expressed concerns about how the company could change.
00:06:12.000 So, I mean, first of all, great sign that you're running your company well, that you're crying during meetings.
00:06:19.000 I'm sorry, but if you cry during business meetings, I don't think that you should be in a position of power.
00:06:25.000 I don't know why this is controversial.
00:06:26.000 This is not sexist.
00:06:27.000 Men shouldn't cry during meetings.
00:06:28.000 Women shouldn't cry during meetings.
00:06:29.000 They're meetings.
00:06:30.000 I run a company.
00:06:32.000 Never have cried during a meeting.
00:06:33.000 Neither have my co-CEOs.
00:06:35.000 Neither have any of our top executives.
00:06:36.000 Crying during meetings is not a thing.
00:06:38.000 In the emotional world of corporate America, now crying is a thing.
00:06:41.000 Okay, Gatti cried during the meeting as she expressed concerns over how the company could change, according to three people familiar with the meeting.
00:06:47.000 She acknowledged that there are significant uncertainties about what the company will look like under Musk's leadership.
00:06:52.000 Twitter spokesperson Trenton Kennedy said Gatti became emotional when discussing her team's impact and the pride she feels in them.
00:06:59.000 Yeah, I have doubts about this.
00:07:00.000 this. Sources confirmed she spoke at length about how she's proud of the work her team has done and offered employees encouragement urging them to keep striving to do good work at the company.
00:07:07.000 Gatti, who has worked at Twitter since 2011, is the key executive charged with overseeing Twitter's trust and safety, legal and public policy functions. She is seen internally as Twitter's moral authority. Wow. So she is the great arbiter of truth, safety and morality over at So, excellent job so far, lady.
00:07:25.000 And the executive, tasked with handling sensitive issues like harassment and dangerous speech.
00:07:29.000 Dangerous.
00:07:31.000 Gaddy played a leading role in negotiating the deal between Twitter and Musk, according to one person familiar with the dynamics.
00:07:37.000 She has shepherded Twitter through some of its most contentious political battles, including the decision to remove all political advertising and boot Donald Trump from the platform in the wake of the January 6th attack on Capitol Hill.
00:07:48.000 But as news of Musk's official takeover broke, policy and legal employees fretted at the meeting about what his leadership could mean for Twitter's carefully crafted online speech rules.
00:07:55.000 I love that now we're going to pretend that Twitter's carefully crafted online speech rules have been such a wild success.
00:08:00.000 Twitter has been just an excellent example of healthy and decent conversation.
00:08:04.000 Now, everyone knows that's a joke.
00:08:05.000 If you use Twitter, Twitter is just a place to dunk and be dunked upon.
00:08:08.000 It is probably the worst cesspool for political speech in American political life.
00:08:11.000 So this idea that their algorithmic magic has somehow cleansed the conversation and improved the quality?
00:08:17.000 If you spend five minutes on Twitter, you know that ain't true.
00:08:21.000 One Twitter employee said, I think everyone at Twitter, regardless of how they feel about the news, is feeling reflective and emotional.
00:08:27.000 We've gone through a lot in the past two years.
00:08:29.000 I think it's generally instigated a lot of reflection.
00:08:31.000 I think this was more of an acknowledgement of the uncertainty everyone is feeling right now.
00:08:37.000 I'm sorry, it's so boring.
00:08:39.000 And your feelings are so boring!
00:08:40.000 I don't care about your stupid feelings.
00:08:43.000 You get paid to do this.
00:08:46.000 And now a person is coming in who says that he wants to allow people to speak more freely on your platform without you putting your thumb on the scale.
00:08:52.000 And you're getting emotional.
00:08:53.000 Wow, oh, oh.
00:08:54.000 Well, get the world's smallest violin for this gang.
00:08:58.000 Yadi herself has advocated strongly for ensuring that Twitter's policies protect its most vulnerable users while protecting free expression, a position at odds with Musk's.
00:09:07.000 This is because the phrase protecting its most vulnerable users, there's a lot of assumptions packed into that little phrase, protect its most vulnerable users.
00:09:14.000 What they mean by this is that if you fulfill an intersectional quotient, If you are a member of the Black community, if you are a member of the Hispanic community, if you are a member of the LGBTQIA2S-divided-by-a-sign-carat-dollar-sign-hashtag-pound-sign-tilde community, then this means no one can be allowed to say things that offend you.
00:09:33.000 And people yesterday on Twitter were experimenting with this.
00:09:35.000 They were saying things like, controversial things like, Leah Thomas is a man, to see if this got them banned.
00:09:39.000 And shockingly, it did not.
00:09:41.000 Oh, woe betide, Twitter!
00:09:44.000 Oh, the sackcloth and ashes!
00:09:46.000 Oh, donning the eternrement of mourning and standing in the city gates crying to the sky, why, Gaia, would you allow such a thing?
00:09:59.000 This is the attitude that the left has decided to take about Elon Musk saying that it's okay if you say Leo Thomas is a man because Leo Thomas is, in fact, a dude.
00:10:06.000 Gaddy wrote in a 2015 Washington Post op-ed, quote, Man, is that an Orwellian phrase?
00:10:08.000 Silence healthy discourse in the name of free expression.
00:10:10.000 controversial issues that occur on Twitter.
00:10:12.000 But I've also been seriously troubled by the plight of some of our users, who are completely overwhelmed by those who are trying to silence healthy discourse in the name of free expression.
00:10:19.000 Man, is that an Orwellian phrase?
00:10:21.000 Silence healthy discourse in the name of free expression.
00:10:23.000 You are trying to silence discourse by quashing free expression.
00:10:29.000 You're just using the word healthy to smuggle in the limits that you want on free expression.
00:10:36.000 She said, at times, this takes the form of hateful speech and tweets directed at women or minority groups.
00:10:40.000 Because, as it turns out, you know, men never receive hateful speech at all.
00:10:43.000 Ever.
00:10:44.000 I know that on Twitter, I am treated with the greatest of kid gloves.
00:10:46.000 No one ever says mean things about me on Twitter.
00:10:48.000 I spend every night weeping in my room because of the things people or, alternatively, I don't give any craps about it at all.
00:10:54.000 Oh, you mean like the threat to ban people for saying that men are not women and women are not men?
00:10:57.000 No matter what we do, we've been accused of bias, she told Bloomberg News.
00:10:59.000 Leaving content up, taking content down.
00:11:01.000 That's become pretty much background noise.
00:11:04.000 one of the most controversial positions at Twitter, says political.
00:11:06.000 Her team has decided how to moderate content.
00:11:08.000 That has made her a target of right-wing criticism.
00:11:10.000 No matter what we do, we've been accused of bias, she told Bloomberg News, leaving content up, taking content down.
00:11:15.000 That's become pretty much background noise.
00:11:18.000 So perhaps you should actually, you know, make your algorithm public.
00:11:23.000 But she would never do that because then we might actually find out what they've been banning.
00:11:28.000 you During her team meeting, Gaddy fielded concerns.
00:11:32.000 Several employees left the debrief with a nude sense of loyalty to her.
00:11:35.000 Wow, loyalty.
00:11:36.000 Okay, if this lady's record is any indicator, Elon Musk should put her on the breadlines immediately.
00:11:41.000 Senior Public Policy Associate Kennedy O'Brien said, if you look up the word inspiring in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of this woman.
00:11:48.000 Grateful as ever for your leadership, Vishaya.
00:11:50.000 Couldn't feel luckier, tweeted Camino Rojo.
00:11:52.000 Twitter, Spain's head of public policy, government, and philanthropy.
00:11:56.000 So when I said yesterday that Misk should fire a lot of people, he should fire a lot of people.
00:11:59.000 Say you have Twitter employees weeping, but this Mother's Day, you don't want the one you love weeping.
00:12:04.000 You want her weeping tears of joy, of happiness.

00:13:19.000 Naturally, you have the Democrat media complex swinging into action to try to somehow stop Elon Musk from doing what he wants to do here.
00:13:28.000 So you have Chuck Schumer, one of the worst liars in American political life, coming out and saying, Twitter's a dark place.
00:13:34.000 I hope it doesn't get worse.
00:13:35.000 I hope Elon Musk doesn't make Twitter a worse place.
00:13:37.000 It wouldn't be healthy then.
00:13:39.000 We need somebody moderating these things, says Chuck Schumer.
00:13:44.000 On Elon Musk, I would say, look, in many ways, Twitter has been a dark, dark place.
00:13:49.000 I hope it doesn't get any darker.
00:13:51.000 Oh, wow.
00:13:51.000 I mean, you know, if there's one person who is deeply involved in making the discourse better, it's Chuck Schumer, the senator from New York.
00:13:58.000 Meanwhile, Brian Stelter, who his entire career has been getting no ratings on CNN, so far as I'm aware.
00:14:07.000 So Brian Stelter, whose massive draw, I mean just his intellectual draw, his physical magnetism, just that animal magnetism of Brian Stelter, drew a grand total of zero people to CNN+, which just had to shut its doors.
00:14:21.000 By the way, you know what's super funny?
00:14:23.000 So CNN+, actually in one of their recent articles about the shutdown of CNN+, they suggested that in order to support CNN+, eventually they'd be aiming at getting 29 million people to subscribe to CNN+.
00:14:36.000 Yeah, man.
00:14:36.000 You don't have a show on your air that gets over 500,000 viewers a night, but you're going to draw 29 million people to subscribe.
00:14:43.000 Anyway, Brian Stelter, the chief media correspondent for CNN, he says that he's lecturing Elon Musk about how he doesn't understand the complexities of free speech.
00:14:53.000 Says Brian Stelter on CNN.
00:14:56.000 Based on his public statements, it's clear he has very little understanding of the complexities that go into content moderation and hate speech policies and the like.
00:15:05.000 So he's about to learn how it works, and it might be a whole lot more complicated than he realizes.
00:15:09.000 Well, I mean, first of all, I have a feeling that some people will be working for Elon Musk.
00:15:13.000 He's not going to be personally, like, shadowbanning people.
00:15:15.000 But also, definitely Elon Musk, who is the richest person on planet Earth, needs to take advice from Spud over here.
00:15:25.000 That's definitely a thing that he needs to do.
00:15:27.000 Meanwhile, Joy Reid over on MSNBC doing what she does best with Jason Johnson and just calling people racist because this is, in the end, the final preserve of the left is everyone I don't like is a racist.
00:15:40.000 Everything I don't like is racist.
00:15:43.000 So here is Joy Reid doing that routine.
00:15:44.000 It turns out the reason Elon Musk is upset about the shutdowns of free speech on Twitter and the shadow banning and the bottlenecking and throttling of traffic, what that's really about is that Elon Musk is secretly a... There we go.
00:16:02.000 There was a time when people had the double hashtags around their names because they were Jewish, and right-wingers were saying, get in the oven anytime you made any benign comment on Twitter.
00:16:11.000 They attacked women.
00:16:13.000 You know, the misogyny was crazy on Twitter for a while.
00:16:16.000 Elon Musk, I guess he, you know, he misses the old South Africa in the 80s.
00:16:20.000 He wants that back.
00:16:21.000 Oh, that's what it is.
00:16:22.000 Nailed it!
00:16:23.000 Nailed it!
00:16:24.000 He wants that back.
00:16:25.000 That's what he wants.
00:16:26.000 Okay, so as the person who has targeted the most anywhere on earth in 2015-2016, with the triple parentheses, it wasn't double, it was triple parentheses, and the get in the ovens kind of stuff, let me just say that the content moderation on Twitter has not made life markedly better.
00:16:42.000 They've just suppressed major breaking political stories.
00:16:45.000 By the way, yesterday, Elon Musk said publicly that he thinks it is bad to shut down major political stories a month before an election.
00:16:52.000 And people on the left are like, now that he said that, he probably voided his deal.
00:16:55.000 No, he didn't, you morons.
00:16:57.000 And good luck with that argument.
00:16:58.000 You're right.
00:16:58.000 Probably the Twitter board is going to turn down $44 billion, with a B, a billion dollars for a company that is yet to break a profit.
00:17:05.000 Because Elon Musk said something that every single human knows.
00:17:08.000 Meanwhile, Sonny Hostin, another one of the geniuses over at The View, where the collective IQ does not add up to triple digits.
00:17:13.000 Here is Sonny Hostin explaining that, you know, what this is really about is for freedom for straight white m-m-m-m-males.
00:17:23.000 Twitter is not the real world.
00:17:24.000 And in fact, on Twitter, it is predominantly straight white men.
00:17:29.000 So when Elon Musk says, wow, this is about free speech, it seems to me that it's about free speech of straight white men.
00:17:39.000 And so let them have it.
00:17:40.000 Let them just go at it.
00:17:43.000 I enjoy the block button on Twitter.
00:17:46.000 OK, well, I mean, by the way, that last part.
00:17:48.000 She's free to use her block button.
00:17:50.000 But the fact that she's so upset because straight white men don't deserve free speech in the field of the left.
00:17:53.000 This is, I mean, she's giving away the game right here, is that Elon Musk wants speech, but only for straight white men.
00:17:58.000 No, he wants free speech for everyone.
00:18:00.000 You are just making clear that you know that Twitter was not a place for free speech for straight white men.
00:18:04.000 It was for everyone who held your point of view and mirrored left-wing perspectives.
00:18:09.000 Really is incredible stuff.
00:18:09.000 Elon Musk correctly tweeted, quote, the extreme antibody reaction from those who fear free speech says it all.
00:18:15.000 Correct.
00:18:16.000 This is absolutely right.
00:18:18.000 This, of course, is absolutely right.
00:18:19.000 He says, by free speech, I simply mean that which matches the law.
00:18:22.000 And again, censorship that goes far beyond the law.
00:18:24.000 If people want less free speech, they will ask governments to pass laws to that effect.
00:18:27.000 Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people.
00:18:31.000 That seems fairly inarguable, right?
00:18:33.000 He is saying that he is not the great all-knower of the public opinion on free speech, and therefore, he is going to reflect what governments in various areas say about free speech, which, again, seems like a much better and clearer standard than some lawyer for Twitter deciding, what is a healthy conversation?
00:18:52.000 You know, you must have your vegetables.
00:18:55.000 Have that healthy conversation.
00:18:56.000 Again, Twitter is a place for unhealthy conversation if you've ever spent more than five seconds on the actual service.
00:19:02.000 But again, the left's wailing is beyond the pale.
00:19:06.000 You have Anand Giridharadas, who I don't know why this person is considered in any way a person worth hearing from, but he writes for the New York Times, on CNN all the time.
00:19:15.000 There's a piece today called Elon Musk is a problem masquerading as a solution in the New York Times.
00:19:20.000 It's a perfect marriage for an age of plutocracy.
00:19:22.000 Twitter with its serious problems and Elon Musk, the embodiment of those problems.
00:19:26.000 What happens when the incarnation of a problem buys the right to decide what the problem is and how to fix it?
00:19:32.000 Well, he didn't buy the right to decide.
00:19:33.000 I mean, he bought a company.
00:19:36.000 I was, by the way, I was told by people like Anand Sharadharadas that if you had problems with Twitter's censorship, build your own.
00:19:42.000 And then, of course, Parler was de-platformed by Amazon Web Services in the aftermath of January 6th because people tried to build their own.
00:19:48.000 So, um, build your own.
00:19:50.000 Anand, you don't like it?
00:19:51.000 Build your own.
00:19:53.000 But, says this columnist, Twitter has a disinformation problem, fake news about COVID vaccines, climate, and more running buck wild across the platform.
00:20:00.000 Mr. Musk has shown himself to be a highly capable peddler of dubious claims, whether putting out financial misleading information or calling the British diver who helped rescue trapped schoolboys in Thailand a pedo guy.
00:20:10.000 Twitter has a racism problem.
00:20:13.000 The agency over at the Department of Fair Employment and Housing is suing Tesla.
00:20:17.000 Sort of has a bullying and harassment problems.
00:20:19.000 And Musk is a bully and a harasser.
00:20:20.000 So it's perfect, absolutely fitting, that this guy, of all guys, could now own Twitter.
00:20:25.000 My God, my God!
00:20:29.000 Okay, I mean, and by the way, there's articles like up the wazoo over at the New York Times about how terrible this is.
00:20:34.000 The New York Times, which spends its days just reflecting the positions of the far left and firing anybody, Who comes into conflict with those positions.
00:20:41.000 Here are just a few of the titles of pieces written in the last two days alone.
00:20:45.000 Quote.
00:20:46.000 Musk's Twitter.
00:20:47.000 Weed memes.
00:20:47.000 Editable tweets.
00:20:48.000 And the return of Trump by Kara Swisher who's just awful.
00:20:51.000 Greg Bensinger.
00:20:52.000 Twitter under Elon Musk will be a scary place.
00:20:54.000 It won't just be a place where people say things.
00:20:56.000 It'll be scary.
00:20:57.000 Frightening.
00:20:58.000 Terrible.
00:20:59.000 It'll be the worst.
00:21:00.000 Your fears betray you.
00:21:02.000 You can feel them.
00:21:06.000 Yes.
00:21:06.000 We all know what your agenda is now.
00:21:09.000 And you know what?
00:21:10.000 That agenda is not just an agenda inside Twitter up until now, it's an agenda across Big Tech.
00:21:15.000 So in a second, we will get to the fact that when it comes to the internal employees of these big tech companies, they really do rule the roost, and that is scary, scary stuff.
00:21:23.000 We'll get into that in just one second.

00:22:24.000 So there's some audio that broke yesterday of employees inside Amazon, bewailing and bemoaning the fact that our own Matt Walsh here from the Daily Wire, he wrote a book called Johnny the Walrus.
00:22:37.000 It is a sort of satirical children's book about a young boy who's pretending to be a walrus and mommy goes to yoga class and her friends tell her that perhaps Johnny actually is a walrus.
00:22:48.000 And so they start feeding Johnny raw fish.
00:22:50.000 They go to visit a surgeon who recommends that Johnny's hands be carved into fins, etc.
00:22:55.000 You can see where this is going.
00:22:56.000 Well, this became the top selling LGBTQ plus IA book in America.
00:23:01.000 And this prompted spasms of apoplexy in the internal workforce over at Amazon, particularly in the trans workforce at Amazon.
00:23:11.000 Tears, upset, rage.
00:23:14.000 So here is some of the internal... Again, these are the people, by the way, who are controlling what you see, what you hear, what kind of literature you're allowed to read.
00:23:20.000 These are the folks who have their thumb on the button.
00:23:23.000 So you tell me whether it's important that people like Elon Musk actually sign in and start having their way with free speech.
00:23:29.000 Because otherwise, you're gonna get folks like this.
00:23:31.000 Here we go.
00:23:32.000 It's about a book called Johnny the Walrus.
00:23:35.000 And I want to be very clear, the next two are about books.
00:23:37.000 And I saw someone say, oh joy, we're going to talk about one of them because it's been, it's been a very traumatic experience for transgender Amazonians and our transgender customers.
00:23:49.000 Johnny the Walrus is a bit of a problematic book.
00:23:53.000 Uh, not a bit.
00:23:54.000 It is problematic.
00:23:57.000 It is not a bit of a problem.
00:23:59.000 It's one hell of a problem.
00:24:01.000 It's one hell of a problem.
00:24:03.000 It's a problem.
00:24:04.000 These are the conversations being had inside Amazon.
00:24:06.000 And this person started crying about it.
00:24:09.000 And then he shared feedback from a customer who alleged that the book teaches children to kill transgenders or bully them into committing suicide.
00:24:17.000 Interesting.
00:24:17.000 Interesting.
00:24:19.000 These are the folks who are controlling what you get to see and what you get to hear.
00:24:24.000 You wonder why the right is excited about Elon Musk taking over?
00:24:27.000 Because all we're asking for is some transparency.
00:24:30.000 All we are asking for is some standard by which we can tell if you are throttling traffic or determining what we can see and what we can hear.
00:24:37.000 It really is incredible stuff.
00:24:38.000 Okay, meanwhile, the Biden administration is in a state of complete collapse.
00:24:42.000 The stock market dropped 800 points yesterday.
00:24:45.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, U.S.
00:24:47.000 stocks fell extending their April losses as investors digested earnings reports from leading companies and weighed concerns about inflation and the spread of COVID-19 in China.
00:24:54.000 Stocks slid for much of Tuesday, dropping further late in the session.
00:24:57.000 The S&P 500 closed down 2.8% or 120.92 points to 4175.20.
00:25:03.000 A day after tech stocks led major indices higher, the DJIA, the Dow Jones, declined 2.4% or 809 points.
00:25:12.000 The Nasdaq composite lost 4%.
00:25:13.000 All three indices are on track to lose at least 4% this month, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq down more than 12% in April.
00:25:21.000 Shares of Microsoft fell in trading.
00:25:23.000 Google reported slower sales growth in the first quarter, so its shares were down 4% after close.
00:25:28.000 Fears about resurgence of COVID-19 in China, attenuating supply lines, continues to be a serious threat.
00:25:35.000 The bottom line is that what we are watching right now is an economy that is on the brink of recession.
00:25:41.000 And that recession is being accelerated by the inflationary tendencies of the economy.
00:25:46.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, home price growth accelerated in February.
00:25:49.000 Demand remained robust because we are still seeing the aftermath of an inflationary cycle.
00:25:54.000 A shortage of supply limited the volume of home sales.
00:25:56.000 Meanwhile, mortgage rates are headed significantly higher.
00:26:00.000 Economists expect home price growth to begin to slow in the coming months because of that mortgage interest rate increasing, reducing buyers' purchasing power.
00:26:09.000 There are early signs the market is cooling from its frenzied pace.
00:26:11.000 About 13% of sellers dropped their list prices in the four weeks ended April 17th.
00:26:15.000 That's the highest share since the end of November.
00:26:18.000 The Case-Shiller Index, measuring repeat sales data, reports on a two-month delay.
00:26:22.000 Inventory has risen since February.
00:26:24.000 It still remains far below normal levels.
00:26:25.000 So what we have now is the possibility of serious stagflation, where we have an inflationary cycle married to really, really slow economic growth.
00:26:35.000 And this is being promoted pretty openly by the Biden administration.
00:26:40.000 Jen Psaki was asked yesterday about inflation and just walked away from the podium.
00:26:46.000 I will go to the back tomorrow first thing.
00:26:47.000 Thank you so much, everyone.
00:26:49.000 And America continues to suffer under my gas prices.
00:26:51.000 And bye.
00:26:52.000 She just out of there like the roadrunners.
00:26:54.000 And there's just a cloud of dust behind her because she ain't going to answer any questions about inflation.
00:26:59.000 One of the reasons is because the Democrats have no plan to end inflation other than, get ready for it, raising taxes.
00:27:05.000 So their plan was we'll blow out the spending.
00:27:08.000 And then because we have to suck money out of the economy again, because we, you know, hit the economy with a fire hose of cash.
00:27:14.000 What if we raise the taxes?
00:27:16.000 Genius.
00:27:17.000 Genius.
00:27:17.000 So you have an inflationary cycle to be ended with economic stagnation.
00:27:22.000 Already businesses are pulling back because they see the interest rates are about to increase.
00:27:26.000 And now the Democrats are talking about increasing taxes and regulations.
00:27:29.000 Just genius, genius stuff here from your Democratic If you want to get rid of inflation, the only way to do it is to undo a lot of the Trump tax cuts and raise rates.
00:27:48.000 No Republican is ever going to do that.
00:27:50.000 So the only way to get rid of inflation is through reconciliation.
00:27:56.000 Man, you want to see a party commit political suicide?
00:27:58.000 I mean, it is political suicide already that they have made parents into an actual interest group by saying that parents shouldn't parent, that schools should teach their kids that boys are girls and girls are boys.
00:28:06.000 I mean, that's suicidal enough.
00:28:08.000 Invoking reconciliation, going nuclear, in order to pass a tax increase?
00:28:14.000 Good luck with this one, because that's what the American people want.
00:28:17.000 In the middle of worries about the economy, what they desperately want is massive tax increases rammed through along party lines with Kamala Harris as the dividing vote.
00:28:26.000 Genius stuff.
00:28:26.000 And meanwhile, you know what they really want?
00:28:27.000 They want that combined with the Biden administration single-handedly relieving student loans to pay off the people who are the most privileged in our society, college graduates.
00:28:37.000 That's what Joe Biden is now signaling.
00:28:39.000 I mean, this is just incoherent, insane political policy.
00:28:42.000 The reason is because Joe Biden is always responding to the urgent rather than the necessary.
00:28:46.000 And so he's looking at his poll numbers and he's seeing that he's down like 40% with college graduates.
00:28:50.000 And he's freaking out because that's his base.
00:28:52.000 This party is run by college educated white single women.
00:28:56.000 And minority people and people who are black and they thought Hispanic but Hispanics are now moving away from the Democratic Party in a pretty heavy way.
00:29:04.000 So it's supposed to be a minority coalition and college-educated white women who are single.
00:29:08.000 That was the coalition.
00:29:09.000 So now they got to pay off those college-educated white women who are single somehow.
00:29:13.000 So simultaneously you have an inflationary spiral.
00:29:15.000 And they're saying to end inflation we need to raise taxes on people, killing the economy.
00:29:19.000 And also we need to infuse money into the economy by paying off your student loans contributing to inflation.
00:29:27.000 It's all over the place.
00:29:29.000 This is kaleidoscopic, drunk economic policy.
00:29:34.000 So Joe Biden announced this yesterday, apparently, while he was speaking with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
00:29:39.000 Good luck with this.
00:29:40.000 So Joe Biden, according to the Washington Post, Gave his strongest indication yet in a private meeting with House Democrats, he's poised to take significant action to relieve student loans.
00:29:48.000 A move that could include canceling tens of thousands of dollars in debt for some people.
00:29:51.000 Well, aren't we suckers, those of us who actually paid off our student loans?
00:29:54.000 I paid off my student loans.
00:29:55.000 I paid off my wife's student loans.
00:29:57.000 Yeah, boy, are we suckers.
00:29:58.000 Borrowers are currently benefiting from a moratorium on paying off their student loans that lasts until August 31, a pandemic-induced pause that began under the Trump administration.
00:30:06.000 The White House has come under considerable pressure from the liberal wing of the Democratic Party to cancel the liabilities outright.
00:30:12.000 Biden and centrist Democrats have expressed skepticism, however, about the wisdom of burdening taxpayers with the debt of students who voluntarily took out loans to attend pricey private universities.
00:30:21.000 Well, yes.
00:30:22.000 To address such concerns, a Biden move could target lower and middle income borrowers, who, by the way, already have subsidized loans via Pell Grants and stuff.
00:30:29.000 During a lengthy meeting with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Biden signaled multiple times he was prepared to not only extend the current moratorium, but to potentially take executive actions, canceling some of the debt altogether.
00:30:41.000 This is nuts.
00:30:42.000 I mean, it's just nutty economic policy.
00:30:44.000 How nuts is this economic policy, by the way?
00:30:46.000 Nancy Pelosi came out today and said there's not even a discussion about doing this.
00:30:51.000 When Nancy Pelosi is the one who is the designated driver, because everyone else is so drunk off their ass that they can't get home, so you throw the keys to Nancy, who's 80,000 years old and has never passed a good piece of economic policy, you know this party's in trouble.
00:31:07.000 She suggested on Wednesday anyone who believes Biden can forgive student debt on his own are misinformed.
00:31:11.000 She said, the president can't do it.
00:31:12.000 That's not even a discussion.
00:31:16.000 Chuck Schumer, for his part, he says, all you need is the flick of a pen.
00:31:22.000 Amazing, amazing stuff.
00:31:23.000 So this party is in a state of complete economic disarray.
00:31:26.000 Meanwhile, the White House is freaking out because Joe Manchin is not going along with any of their spending plans.
00:31:32.000 So they have fallen into the trap because Joe Biden is no longer sentient and Ron Klain and Susan Rice are running the show over at the White House.
00:31:38.000 They have fallen into the bizarre trap of thinking that the way that they avoid a cataclysmic defeat in November, which they are not going to avoid, the tsunami is on the horizon.
00:31:45.000 It is already moving.
00:31:46.000 You're going to be swamped.
00:31:47.000 This is 100 feet of water coming directly for Joe Biden's White House.
00:31:51.000 And Joe Biden is now convinced, or at least the people around him are convinced because Joe Biden, as I say, is no longer sentient.
00:31:57.000 They're convinced the only way they avoid this is by somehow spending more money.
00:32:01.000 And so they're angry at Joe Manchin again.
00:32:04.000 Good luck with this.
00:32:05.000 According to the Washington Post, Biden's shrinking ambitions are largely the result of failed negotiations with Senator Joe Manchin.
00:32:12.000 Now White House officials are confronting the real fear they will fail to reach any deal with Manchin, even one that leaves out most of what Biden initially hoped to accomplish.
00:32:19.000 A year after Biden introduced his climate and social spending plans, the White House is running out of time to get Manchin on board, with many lawmakers in Congress viewing July 4th as a crucial deadline for action.
00:32:29.000 In recent weeks, White House officials have tried gauging Manchin's interest in a package that would consist primarily of clean energy initiatives, prescription drug reform, and higher taxes on the rich and corporations.
00:32:38.000 The ideas discussed internally include more than $500 billion of deficit reduction.
00:32:43.000 On Monday, a Manchin spokeswoman reiterated the senator supports measures to boost U.S.
00:32:46.000 energy production, lower prescription drug costs, and raise tax revenue from corporations and the rich.
00:32:51.000 But despite support for those provisions generally, Manchin has not yet made clear to the White House precisely what he would support.
00:32:56.000 He's not going to support anything because what is in it for him?
00:32:59.000 Seriously, what's in it for him?
00:33:00.000 He's in a state where Joe Biden is not only underwater, Joe Biden is beneath the earth.
00:33:05.000 Joe Biden is below the seafloor, all the way through the core of the earth, and now in the ocean on the other side of the earth.
00:33:12.000 So why exactly would Joe Biden, whose state of West Virginia, Joe Manchin, whose state of West Virginia hates Joe Biden, go along with anything that Joe Biden wants?
00:33:20.000 I mean, Joe Manchin, for his part, continues to We can make sure that we protect our borders and basically protect our people and citizens of the United States and making sure that people coming are coming for the right reason through a legal procedure.
00:33:44.000 And right now we don't have an immigration policy that allows that to happen.
00:33:47.000 It needs to change.
00:33:50.000 Yeah, well, it's not going to change because the Biden administration is fully committed to no border security.
00:33:55.000 Jen Psaki said yesterday that they're not going to continue Title 42, which is the pandemic-related restriction that allows people to be rejected at the border, because that's not an answer to comprehensive immigration reform.
00:34:06.000 So in other words, we're not getting anything done.
00:34:07.000 So we're not going to do the thing that will stop a massive wave of illegal immigration right now.
00:34:11.000 Just slow clap for these geniuses.
00:34:14.000 The president has never made a secret of the fact that he thinks immigration reform is necessary, and that Title 42 was never a replacement for comprehensive immigration reform.
00:34:25.000 Yeah, but you're not doing comprehensive immigration reform, so all you're doing is really opening the border.
00:34:29.000 These people are cruising for a bruising, and it's going to be so ugly for them come November.
00:34:33.000 In just one second, we'll get to more on Joe Biden's corruption, because new stories are emerging, you know, now that we're allowed to talk about it.

00:37:22.000 White.
00:37:22.000 And again, for next month, it is Moby Dick by Herman Melville.
00:37:25.000 So if you didn't catch up on your classics reading back in high school and college and post-grad, now is the time.
00:37:30.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:37:33.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden, again, it's not just that Joe Biden's policies are unpopular.
00:37:43.000 It's that Joe Biden personally is unpopular.
00:37:45.000 And he's unpopular really since Afghanistan.
00:37:47.000 After Afghanistan, it became clear that this was not your kindly old grandfather who had your concerns at heart, Uncle Joe.
00:37:55.000 It became clear that he is, in fact, a venal and malicious elderly man.
00:38:00.000 who is not in full control of his faculties and he has done nothing to disabuse Americans of this.
00:38:04.000 And now as more information emerges about just how corrupt he is, things are about to get a lot uglier.
00:38:08.000 So according to the UK Daily Mail, Joe Biden agreed to pay son Hunter's legal fees for his deal with a Chinese government-controlled company, emails reveal.
00:38:16.000 This revelation ties the president even closer to Hunter Biden's overseas business dealings and makes his previous claims he never discussed them with his son even less plausible.
00:38:24.000 Joe was able to pay the bills after earning millions of dollars through his and his wife's companies after he left office as vice president.
00:38:30.000 Some of the wave of cash came from their book deals and speaking engagements, but the president's financial filings reveal he declared almost $7 million more income on his tax returns than he did on his government transparency reports, an analysis by the Daily Mail of the president's financial records shows.
00:38:46.000 Some of that difference can be accounted for with salaries earned by First Lady Jill Biden and other sums not required on his reports.
00:38:51.000 But it still leaves $5.2 million earned by Joe's company and not listed on his transparency reports.
00:38:58.000 The missing millions, combined with emails on Hunter's abandoned laptop suggesting Joe would have a 10% share in Hunter's blockbuster deal with the Chinese, raise a rather troubling question.
00:39:06.000 Did Joe Biden receive money from the foreign venture?
00:39:10.000 In January 2019, Hunter's assistant Katie Dodge wrote an email to bookkeeper Linda Shapiro, no relation, and Biden aide Richard Ruffner saying Joe had agreed to pay his hundreds of thousands of dollars of bills.
00:39:22.000 I spoke with Hunter today regarding his bills.
00:39:23.000 It's my understanding that Hunt's dad will cover these bills in the short term as Hunter transitions in his career.
00:39:28.000 The assistant attached a spreadsheet of bills with the email totaling $737,000.
00:39:35.000 So that's Joe paying the legal fees for Hunter, but he had no idea.
00:39:39.000 No idea at all what Hunter Biden was doing.
00:39:42.000 They were completely unrelated.
00:39:43.000 They had no clue.
00:39:45.000 One of the last items was $28,000 in legal fees for the restructuring of Hunter's joint venture with the government-controlled Bank of China.
00:39:52.000 The spreadsheet listed the bill as Fager Baker Daniels BHR Restructuring.
00:39:57.000 BHR, Bohai Harvest RSD, is a private equity firm, one of Hunter's two major Chinese business ventures.
00:40:02.000 That joint venture was co-owned by the State Control Bank of China.
00:40:07.000 Hunter's personal attorney, George Maciris, is a partner at Fager Baker.
00:40:11.000 A separate October 2018 invoice from the law firm shows Hunter spent $68,000 on the restructuring beginning September 2016.
00:40:17.000 The same year Joe took on these bills from Hunter, he promised, quote, no one in my family will have an office in the White House, will sit in on it, any meetings as if they are a cabinet member, will in fact have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country.
00:40:30.000 Yet not only did Hunter hold on to his 10% share of BHR through 2021, confirmed by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki last February, the emails also indicate Joe knew about it and even agreed to pay Hunter's legal fees for the firm.
00:40:42.000 The bills also include $413,000 in unpaid taxes dating back to 2012.
00:40:46.000 The New York Times reported earlier this month Hunter had taken out a million-dollar loan to pay his delinquent tax bill.
00:40:54.000 Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson said Joe Biden's unaccounted-for millions are another disturbing piece of information that raises questions that deserve answers.
00:41:01.000 Well, yeah, you would think.
00:41:03.000 When the president of the United States can't explain where he got all this money from.
00:41:07.000 I mean, remember, he bragged for years.
00:41:08.000 He was the poorest member of Congress.
00:41:10.000 He bragged for years.
00:41:11.000 I'm one of the politicians who has not made a fortune and he owned houses all over the place.
00:41:14.000 And then immediately upon leaving office, suddenly he's reporting tens of millions of dollars of income.
00:41:20.000 It's a little suspicious, is it not?
00:41:22.000 And meanwhile, Hunter is just going around picking up bags of cash for being a drunk, drug-addicted derelict.
00:41:28.000 Like that's, that's an interesting, an interesting move.
00:41:32.000 Well, in office, Joe had a relatively modest income, says the Daily Mail.
00:41:35.000 He enjoyed a flood of millions of dollars soon after he left office, most of which came from his memoir book deal and eye-watering speaking fees.
00:41:41.000 Between 2017 and 2019, he and First Lady Jill Biden reported $16.5 million in gross income on their federal tax returns released by the Biden campaign.
00:41:50.000 The government in ethics filings for the same period, Joe only reported $9.6 million in income for himself and his wife.
00:41:57.000 So where is that gap emerging from?
00:42:00.000 They're saying that some of the gap was probably because Jill taught community college.
00:42:05.000 That's right.
00:42:05.000 A $7 million gap can be attributed to Jill Biden teaching occasionally at Northern Virginia Community College, one of our nation's great institutions of higher education.
00:42:16.000 A comparison of the income reported by Joe shows a difference of almost $5.2 million, which remains unaccounted for.
00:42:23.000 Pretty impressive stuff.
00:42:24.000 Pretty impressive stuff here.
00:42:25.000 So we also know, by the way, that Hunter Biden's business partner, while Joe Biden was vice president, visited the White House something like 19 times and met with Joe Biden in the White House.
00:42:36.000 So here is Jen Psaki saying she knows nothing about it.
00:42:38.000 I know nothing.
00:42:39.000 Nothing.
00:42:41.000 Does the president still maintain that he never spoke with his son about his business dealings?
00:42:45.000 And given this reporting on Eric Schwerin, does he also say that he has never spoken to his son's business partners about his son's business dealings?
00:42:54.000 He maintains his same statements that he's made in the past.
00:42:57.000 I would say, I know you're referring to WAVES records.
00:43:00.000 Interesting.
00:43:00.000 Interesting.
00:43:00.000 Probably we should suppress the story.
00:43:02.000 Probably.
00:43:02.000 By the way, just a note here, Hunter Biden is one of the worst people on earth.
00:43:05.000 I mean, Hunter Biden is just a bag of human garbage.
00:43:07.000 waves records were not released, but I don't have more information about visits from more than 10 years ago.
00:43:12.000 Hmm.
00:43:13.000 No information at all.
00:43:14.000 Interesting.
00:43:15.000 Interesting.
00:43:16.000 Probably we should suppress the story.
00:43:17.000 Probably.
00:43:18.000 By the way, just a note here.
00:43:19.000 Hunter Biden is one of the worst people on earth.
00:43:20.000 I mean, Hunter Biden is just a bag of human garbage.
00:43:22.000 He's terrible.
00:43:23.000 New York Post reporting today, quote, Hunter Biden desperately insisted his brother's widow, Haley Biden, get screened for HIV as their torrid affair cooled off in the summer of Biden, 52, implored Haley to be tested for HIV in an email sent to Beau Biden's widow July 27, 2018, about a month before he fathered an out-of-wedlock child with former stripper London Roberts.
00:43:46.000 You need to inform me of the results, Hunter wrote in an email found on his Amanda laptop, today.
00:43:50.000 I'm getting tested today.
00:43:51.000 I've been scared sick, Haley, and you hang up on me.
00:43:55.000 He says, the love you give is so disturbing.
00:43:58.000 The all caps subject line was, you need to get tested for HIV, Haley.
00:44:03.000 And then he went on to ask Haley to stop the BS regarding his niece, accusing his sister-in-law of trying to turn the young teen against him.
00:44:11.000 And he called her behavior sick and disturbing.
00:44:14.000 So he is the smartest person that Joe Biden personally knows.
00:44:19.000 I mean, Joe Biden must not know very many people.
00:44:23.000 That's pretty amazing stuff.
00:44:25.000 Alrighty, well, we've reached the end of today's show, but we'll be back here later today with an additional hour of content coming up soon.
