00:00:00.000 On Tuesday, CNN-ORC released a new poll that could be a game-changer for Donald Trump if the poll isn't an outlier.
00:00:06.000 It shows Trump up 45% to 43% over Hillary.
00:00:10.000 Now, obviously, if that holds up, he'd be winning.
00:00:11.000 But there's something even more significant in this poll than prior polls showing him up slightly over Hillary.
00:00:17.000 It shows him breaking what appears to be this 41% ceiling I talk about a lot.
00:00:20.000 Trump hadn't broken 41% since one Monmouth poll in July.
00:00:25.000 I think so.
00:00:40.000 I think so.
00:00:59.000 The race is an entirely new ballgame.
00:01:01.000 There's more stunning information in this poll, too.
00:01:03.000 Trump's favorability ratings are higher than Clinton's, 45 to 42.
00:01:07.000 Fully 16% of Americans label immigration their top concern in the election.
00:01:11.000 About 20% say the economy.
00:01:13.000 Trump is leading on the economy, slightly behind on immigration.
00:01:15.000 Trump is beating Hillary on the economy 56 to 41.
00:01:18.000 He's seen as more trustworthy by 50% of the public.
00:01:21.000 Only 35% think Hillary is trustworthy.
00:01:24.000 He's seen as more strong and decisive than she is by a margin of 50 to 42.
00:01:28.000 The male gender gap is worse for Hillary, 52 to 32 for Trump, than the female gender gap is good for her, 52 to 38 for her.
00:01:36.000 Trump's defeating Hillary among independents by 20%.
00:01:38.000 These are terrible.
00:01:40.000 Terrible numbers for Hillary Clinton.
00:01:42.000 Now, it's worth noting here a couple of things about this poll.
00:01:44.000 The Republicans have a plus-4 sample, and that is not really reflective of the voting base usually in presidential elections.
00:01:50.000 Plus, there's a big difference between registered voters and likely voters in this particular poll.
00:01:55.000 When there's a big swing like that, it usually means the poll's an outlier.
00:01:58.000 It is possible that new Trump is seeing movement because new Trump is better than old Trump.
00:02:03.000 New Trump's on the teleprompter.
00:02:04.000 He's demonstrating he's not a national security risk by traveling to Mexico and acting like a normal human.
00:02:09.000 He's attempting to moderate his stance on immigration.
00:02:12.000 Meanwhile, Hillary is floundering in her own corruption, which means that Trump may be convincing Americans he's a plausible alternative to Hillary.
00:02:19.000 If that happens, if she's unable to cast him as completely unacceptable under any circumstances,
00:02:25.000 President Trump could actually become a reality.
00:02:27.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:02:28.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:02:34.000 So as you can see, I'm going to be guzzling water this entire show because, like Hillary Clinton, I'm dying of the black lung.
00:02:40.000 We'll get to that in just a second, but...
00:02:42.000 First, I wanna say hello to one of our great sponsors, Framebridge.
00:02:46.000 Framebridge.com is the place to go if you need frames.
00:02:48.000 Now, for me, I spend tons and tons and tons of money on frames.
00:02:52.000 I've got all sorts of memorabilia, I've got all sorts of autographs, I've got posters, and they're really expensive.
00:02:57.000 If you've ever had to frame something big, this stuff can cost you hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
00:03:02.000 Well, what's great about Framebridge is you go on their site, and they take a look at, you take a look at their various options, you can pick your frame online, and then you send them your pictures,
00:03:12.000 And they take great care of your pictures.
00:03:13.000 They're not going to ruin them.
00:03:15.000 They create a guarantee for you.
00:03:16.000 They're not going to ruin anything that you send to them.
00:03:19.000 And their pricing is really straightforward.
00:03:20.000 It's Instagram photos for $39, a small photo for $59, a standard movie poster is $139, which sounds expensive until you realize that's a customized movie poster frame for $139, which is way less than it would be.
00:03:32.000 I framed something like a newspaper cover.
00:03:36.000 Maybe a year and a half ago, it cost me $300 to frame it.
00:03:39.000 So this costs you about half.
00:03:40.000 Framebridge is fantastic.
00:03:41.000 Go to framebridge.com and you pick out the frame you want and they have designers who can also help you choose the frame and you can upload your pictures directly to them or send a physical picture for them to frame.
00:03:51.000 Right now, if you go to framebridge.com and use the promo code BEN, you'll save an additional 15% off your first order.
00:03:57.000 So make sure framebridge.com, remember the promo code BEN, that lets them know that
00:04:01.000 You're coming because you listen to the show, and that allows them to continue advertising with us and keep all of our otherwise unemployable minions in a job.
00:04:09.000 Framebridge.com, and that's promo code BEN, 15% off the first order.
00:04:13.000 OK, so tons to get to today.
00:04:15.000 Lots to get to today here on The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:04:18.000 We'll start off with the fact that the big story of the weekend was not Hillary having her coughing fits.
00:04:23.000 We'll get to Hillary and her coughing fits.
00:04:26.000 In just a minute.
00:04:27.000 The big story of the weekend happened on Friday.
00:04:29.000 There's a big Friday news dump.
00:04:30.000 And this Friday news dump was the FBI handing out these documents about why it didn't indict Hillary Clinton.
00:04:36.000 When you read the documents, one thing is clear.
00:04:38.000 There is no way in living hell Hillary Clinton should not have been indicted.
00:04:43.000 One of two things is true from these documents.
00:04:45.000 One, Hillary's the most incompetent person ever, like ever.
00:04:48.000 She makes historic incompetence, like the Emperor Nero, look like just the most competent people in the world.
00:04:55.000 She's super incompetent, or she's a full-scale criminal.
00:04:58.000 Here's what it said in this report.
00:05:00.000 Here are 11 things it said in this report.
00:05:01.000 First, remember Hillary promised.
00:05:03.000 The reason she set up the private server is because she only wanted to use one BlackBerry and one email account.
00:05:08.000 Well, we knew that she had at least two email accounts, she had at least two phone numbers, and she had at least 13 BlackBerrys.
00:05:13.000 At least 13 mobile devices.
00:05:15.000 So she didn't set it up just to use one BlackBerry.
00:05:17.000 And then, when she was done with her BlackBerry, she didn't preserve them so that the documents would be available from the SIM card.
00:05:23.000 Instead, she had her aides actually take them out and use a hammer to break them.
00:05:28.000 Office space style.
00:05:31.000 They took them out into a field somewhere with a jackhammer, and they played rap music as Hillary went out there with her walker, took the tennis balls off the ends of it, and just beat the phones to death.
00:05:41.000 Okay, also, Hillary told the FBI she had no clue how classified intelligence worked.
00:05:46.000 So, remember, she's the most qualified woman in the history of the world, right?
00:05:48.000 She knows everything.
00:05:49.000 She's super qualified.
00:05:50.000 She's super professional.
00:05:51.000 She had no clue how classification worked.
00:05:53.000 According to the FBI, quote, Clinton could not give an example of how classification of a document was determined.
00:05:59.000 She did not recall receiving any email she thought should not be on an unclassified system.
00:06:04.000 There's an email in there about a Pakistani drone attack.
00:06:07.000 Okay, you and I know that that's classified stuff.
00:06:10.000 But she said that didn't give her any cause for concern over classification.
00:06:13.000 She had almost 18,000 work-related emails from the State Department.
00:06:16.000 You remember, she said, I handed over all my work-related emails to the State Department.
00:06:19.000 She deleted 30,000 of those.
00:06:22.000 18,000 of those were work-related that she had not handed over.
00:06:25.000 Okay, she also wiped her email again after the New York Times reported the private server.
00:06:29.000 So she handed over her stuff to the State Department.
00:06:31.000 She wiped it.
00:06:32.000 The New York Times reports she has a private server.
00:06:35.000 And this was from the FBI report, okay?
00:06:37.000 One person interviewed, the person who worked on her server, said, quote, he indicated he believed he had an oblique moment.
00:06:43.000 Oh, bleeping.
00:06:44.000 Oh, horse poop.
00:06:45.000 Moment.
00:06:45.000 And sometimes between March 25th and 31st, 2015, deleted the Clinton archive mailbox.
00:06:51.000 So he realized that it could go public.
00:06:53.000 He deleted everything.
00:06:53.000 No, it's not a cover-up.
00:06:54.000 Not a cover-up.
00:06:55.000 My favorite thing about this report.
00:06:57.000 Hillary said she didn't think that a C on the emails, it was marked with a C. She said she didn't realize that meant confidential.
00:07:04.000 She didn't know what that meant.
00:07:06.000 What did she think it meant?
00:07:06.000 She think it meant cheese?
00:07:08.000 What did she think the C was for?
00:07:11.000 It's unbelievable, right?
00:07:12.000 She said that she thought that it was at the beginning of paragraphs, and it was referencing paragraphs marked in alphabetical order.
00:07:18.000 This is why she also takes three-year-old children to R-rated movies, because she thinks they stand for refreshing.
00:07:23.000 She also brought her BlackBerry into a secure State Department area.
00:07:27.000 So they say you're not supposed to bring your BlackBerry in here, because we have all sorts of secure information in here.
00:07:31.000 Didn't matter, she brought it in anyway.
00:07:33.000 There were 81 classified email chains containing 8 email chains classified top secret in these emails.
00:07:39.000 But remember, none of it was classified.
00:07:41.000 Hillary also apparently put Americans at risk.
00:07:46.000 According to Catherine Herridge of Fox News, she discussed an undercover asset on her email server and outed him after he was dead, which of course exposed his family to risk.
00:07:54.000 And then, she told her lawyers to destroy everything, but she didn't participate in developing the specific process by which things were destroyed.
00:08:02.000 Yeah, sure.
00:08:03.000 And finally, she attempted to avoid scrutiny.
00:08:05.000 So when she broke one of her BlackBerries, for example,
00:08:08.000 The State Department said, you know what?
00:08:10.000 We'll give you a new BlackBerry.
00:08:11.000 And she found out that that new BlackBerry would require all of that material to be discoverable.
00:08:17.000 And so she said, nah, I'm not going to take the State Department BlackBerry.
00:08:20.000 I don't need the State Department BlackBerry.
00:08:22.000 So this is what the FBI says.
00:08:23.000 So James Comey comes out and he says she didn't have intent.
00:08:27.000 If she didn't have intent, she's the stupidest woman on the face of the earth.
00:08:31.000 I mean, if she didn't have intent, she fell off the stupid tree and she hit every branch on the way down.
00:08:36.000 If she didn't have intent, she was dropped on a pile of bricks as a baby, straight on her head.
00:08:40.000 I mean, so either she's unbelievably stupid and unqualified, or she had intent, right?
00:08:45.000 So Comey took the fall.
00:08:47.000 Well, Hillary is totally dishonest and the polls are showing it, right?
00:08:50.000 And because the polls are showing it, she's got trouble.
00:08:52.000 So, Hillary decides it's finally time to take questions from the press.
00:08:56.000 So, here's Hillary taking questions from the press.
00:08:58.000 I am so happy to have all of you with me.
00:09:01.000 Have you missed us?
00:09:03.000 I've been just waiting for this moment.
00:09:06.000 No, really, and I'll come back and talk to you more formally, but I wanted to welcome you onto the plane.
00:09:11.000 How was your Labor Day weekend?
00:09:13.000 It was good.
00:09:13.000 It was really good.
00:09:14.000 Yeah, we had a good time.
00:09:17.000 The last moment of
00:09:20.000 Hello, Mark.
00:09:21.000 How are you?
00:09:22.000 I recognize your hat!
00:09:23.000 How are you?
00:09:24.000 I'm glad you're here.
00:09:25.000 Yeah, last moment before the Mad Dash, the next two months.
00:09:28.000 So I hope you guys are ready.
00:09:32.000 Are you ready?
00:09:33.000 I'm ready.
00:09:34.000 Okay, crazy old lady addresses her sycophants.
00:09:36.000 So, I love the fact that she walks out and says, this is what I've been waiting for.
00:09:40.000 Who was stopping you?
00:09:41.000 I mean, it's been a year since you did a press conference.
00:09:43.000 Who was stopping you?
00:09:45.000 Did they let you out of your cage?
00:09:46.000 Like, what happened?
00:09:48.000 Suddenly she's like, I've been waiting for this for years.
00:09:50.000 Well, you could have done it, like, a long time ago, but you didn't.
00:09:53.000 So.
00:09:54.000 And I love the first two questions from the press, right?
00:09:57.000 How was your weekend?
00:09:58.000 Ooh, hard-hitting stuff from the press.
00:10:00.000 The press really hitting her hard.
00:10:01.000 So they wait for a year for a press conference.
00:10:03.000 She finally shows up, and the first two questions are, how are you feeling, and how was your weekend?
00:10:07.000 Okay, like, I ask that to my wife after she had a long call as a doctor.
00:10:12.000 I ask that to my friends at the office.
00:10:15.000 I don't ask that to the presidential candidate who hasn't shown her face, right?
00:10:18.000 She's like the Wizard of Oz, hiding behind this manufactured picture of her, and they finally pull back the curtain.
00:10:25.000 Imagine, Dorothy goes to see the Wizard of Oz, they finally pull back the curtain, and instead of saying, oh my god, you're there, and you're not the great and powerful Oz, imagine if she just said, how are you doing?
00:10:34.000 How's your Labor Day weekend?
00:10:36.000 That's basically what happened here.
00:10:37.000 They reveal the Wicked Witch of the West, and the first question isn't, why do you fly around on a broom and write Surrender Dorothy in the sky?
00:10:43.000 The first question is, how's your Labor Day weekend?
00:10:44.000 Alright.
00:10:45.000 The press are totally in the tank for her, and one of the reasons
00:10:49.000 Donald Trump talking about this as recently as February of last year at CPAC saying that he thinks the birth certificate
00:11:15.000 You know, if everybody apologized for all the things they said in politics, all we'd be doing on television shows is apologizing.
00:11:30.000 Let's get down to the basic issue here.
00:11:33.000 For years, people say Republicans don't reach out to the African-American community.
00:11:38.000 Well, he reached out to the African-American community.
00:11:40.000 Okay, well, Giuliani, first of all, should Trump have backed off the Birther stuff a long time?
00:11:45.000 Sure, but why are we talking about it now?
00:11:47.000 I love that Jake Tapper's like, as recently as 18 months ago, he was saying something.
00:11:53.000 Okay, 18 months ago, my baby was not even conceived yet.
00:11:56.000 Okay, 18 months ago was a long time ago.
00:11:59.000 It's really ridiculous.
00:12:00.000 I mean, the media asking about birtherism in the middle of the election cycle now.
00:12:04.000 Talk about old news.
00:12:05.000 It's amazing.
00:12:06.000 For Hillary Clinton, everything is old news.
00:12:08.000 Everything is old news, mainly because she's old.
00:12:09.000 But everything is old news.
00:12:10.000 With Donald Trump, nothing is old news.
00:12:12.000 With the Republican, it's never old news.
00:12:14.000 With Mitt Romney, he could cut a kid's hair in 1957 and it wasn't old news.
00:12:18.000 Donald Trump says something 18 months ago.
00:12:20.000 It's not old news.
00:12:21.000 Hillary Clinton, on Friday, it turns out that she basically should have been indicted.
00:12:25.000 Old news, old news.
00:12:26.000 And watch Gloria Borger.
00:12:27.000 Gloria Borger goes after Ivanka Trump.
00:12:30.000 She asks, Ivanka Trump, is your dad a sexist?
00:12:32.000 And so if I ask you the question flat out, is he a sexist?
00:12:36.000 He's absolutely not a sexist.
00:12:38.000 There's no way I could be the person I am today if my father was a sexist.
00:12:43.000 I would not be
00:12:45.000 One of his senior most executives, and I would not be working shoulder-to-shoulder with my brothers.
00:12:51.000 I would be working for my brothers, if at all.
00:12:53.000 So, you know, I think actions ultimately speak louder than words.
00:12:57.000 My father has 40 years of history of employing women.
00:13:01.000 Okay, so I'm not going to pay attention to her answer here because I have my own issues with the answer, but here's the point.
00:13:07.000 When was the last time you saw Chelsea Clinton on TV being asked if her dad, who rapes women, is a sexist?
00:13:12.000 Ever?
00:13:13.000 Has that ever happened?
00:13:14.000 Has Chelsea Clinton ever been on TV and somebody just said, hey, your dad rapes people.
00:13:18.000 Is he a sexist?
00:13:19.000 Right?
00:13:19.000 Your mom covers up for the rape.
00:13:21.000 Is she a sexist?
00:13:22.000 You never heard that, ever.
00:13:23.000 It's never going to happen.
00:13:24.000 The media are so all in for Hillary, and that's what makes that poll that I was talking about at the top so amazing, is Trump competitive with the media all in for Hillary Clinton this way.
00:13:33.000 Watch this one.
00:13:34.000 Here's a black Trump supporter, his name is Pastor Mark Burns, and CNN goes directly after him, right?
00:13:40.000 Did you make that claim that you graduated from North Greenville University?
00:13:44.000 I'm off the record.
00:13:44.000 Because I think this is not fair.
00:13:46.000 This is not fair at all.
00:13:47.000 This is not what I agreed to.
00:13:48.000 I thought we were doing a profile and all of a sudden you're here to try to destroy my character.
00:13:53.000 I'm not coming here to destroy your character.
00:13:55.000 These are claims that were made on your website that was live while you were speaking at the Republican National Convention.
00:14:02.000 My question is, are those claims accurate?
00:14:04.000 I understand this is what media does.
00:14:07.000 Okay, so they go after Mark Burns because he's a black guy who doesn't have the backing of the media.
00:14:13.000 He's backing Donald Trump.
00:14:14.000 Notice, again, I'm not saying everything Mark Burns has done is right or that he wasn't lying about his resume.
00:14:19.000 All I'm saying is there's a guy named Sean King who's a legitimate white guy who's the black columnist for the New York Daily News.
00:14:25.000 When's the last time you saw him on national TV and them asking him about, by the way, you're a white guy?
00:14:30.000 Has that ever happened?
00:14:31.000 Ever?
00:14:33.000 So the media are all in for Hillary Clinton, and they're throwing Hillary softball after softball.
00:14:37.000 Now they're asking Hillary about Monica Lewinsky.
00:14:39.000 So in order to gin up some sort of sympathy for Hillary Clinton, you get Hillary Clinton being asked about Monica Lewinsky.
00:14:47.000 It is ironic that Hillary Clinton's finest hour in American politics was the American public feeling bad for her.
00:14:52.000 Because some other woman was giving her husband pleasurable entertainment in the Oval Office.
00:14:57.000 Here's Hillary now playing the victim again.
00:15:00.000 She could have divorced him years ago, right?
00:15:02.000 Whom is divorcing Anthony Weiner?
00:15:03.000 But Hillary gets to play victim over Lewinsky again on CNN.
00:15:06.000 What was it to go through something so private, so personal, under the glare of the spotlight as the First Lady?
00:15:14.000 It was really hard.
00:15:16.000 It was painful.
00:15:17.000 And I was so supported by my friends.
00:15:20.000 My friends just rallied around.
00:15:22.000 They would come.
00:15:25.000 They would try to make me laugh.
00:15:26.000 They would recommend books to read.
00:15:29.000 We'd go for long walks.
00:15:31.000 We'd hang out.
00:15:33.000 She's a victim again.
00:15:34.000 We're going back to 1998.
00:15:35.000 First of all, she'd known for years and years.
00:15:36.000 Her husband was a lout and a cheater and a rapist.
00:15:38.000 She knew all this stuff for years.
00:15:58.000 And there she is, they're gonna play her as the victim again, right?
00:16:01.000 She starts to lose, the first thing they do is they start playing the old, you should have sympathy for Hillary because her husband's a dog routine.
00:16:07.000 That'd be all fine and good, except that she stuck with him even though he was a dog, and she rode him to power even though he was a dog, and she defended him and covered for him and threatened people even though he was a dog.
00:16:18.000 You never see the media ask her those questions.
00:16:20.000 Now, the American people are smarter than this.
00:16:22.000 They can see through this.
00:16:23.000 I don't tend to give the American people a lot of credit on a lot of issues, but on this one they can see through Hillary Clinton.
00:16:27.000 They understand enough to know that Hillary Clinton is deeply, deeply corrupt.
00:16:32.000 And so the defenses that are now being presented by the people on her side of the aisle are weak as water.
00:16:37.000 I mean, these are not even weak tea.
00:16:39.000 These are just water.
00:16:40.000 Here's Tim Kaine, her vice presidential candidate, who looks more and more befuddled every day.
00:16:43.000 I mean, Mike Pence looks befuddled on the other side.
00:16:46.000 I think the battle of the befuddlement between Tim Kaine and Mike Pence is going to be something to behold in those vice presidential debates.
00:16:51.000 They're just going to stare at each other quizzically the entire time, looking like they just got lost, like their Uber driver dropped them off in the wrong location.
00:16:59.000 Here's Tim Kaine pushing, saying that Hillary Clinton, nobody should blame her for not holding a press conference.
00:17:05.000 You argue that she's talked to the press on the campaign trail, but our campaign reporters and others say she doesn't really answer that many questions.
00:17:12.000 Is this going to change?
00:17:15.000 Martha, she's had hundreds of interviews in the last year, and I gotta push back on the notion that she hasn't done a press conference.
00:17:20.000 She gave a speech to the National Association of Journalists in the last month, where there were also journalists, Hispanic journalists there, and she did a press conference there.
00:17:29.000 And members of mainstream media outlets, television networks, asked her questions during that press conference.
00:17:35.000 We're about to switch into a phase of the campaign where we will be on planes and the press will be on the planes with us, which is something that Donald Trump does not allow.
00:17:45.000 We are not banning press outlets from covering public events.
00:17:50.000 They literally rope off press at her events.
00:17:53.000 They literally have pictures of the press being roped off behind an actual rope, like a herd of cattle.
00:17:58.000 They actually have a sheepdog that they've laid out there to go and round up press.
00:18:03.000 Every time the press get out of their confined area, they have a sheepdog that runs around like Lassie and just collects all of the members of the press.
00:18:10.000 And here he is saying, no, Hillary's fully transparent.
00:18:13.000 We'll tell you more about that, but first, got to say hello to our friends at U.S.
00:18:16.000 Tax Shield.
00:18:17.000 So, let's say that you have a problem with the IRS.
00:18:18.000 If you're a conservative, solid shot you have a problem with the IRS.
00:18:21.000 But even if you're not, let's say that you've gotten hocked to the IRS because it's difficult to do those tax forms or you just didn't make a payment, and now you owe some back taxes, you need to talk to my friends over at U.S.
00:18:30.000 Tax Shield.
00:18:31.000 They have an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau, and they specialize in helping people who have
00:18:35.000 Falling behind on taxes, people with personal tax liabilities and business payroll taxes, fees and penalties.
00:18:41.000 You call them for a free consultation and they get a senior tax consultant who will call the IRS hotline with you so that you can find out exactly what your liabilities are.
00:18:50.000 Then they walk you through the process, they give you a guaranteed quote, and the quote does not increase.
00:18:53.000 You can do this whole process with them on the phone.
00:18:56.000 It's fully transparent.
00:18:57.000 It's fully honest.
00:18:58.000 They also have something called the Fresh Start program that helps you come clean with the IRS and settle your debts in a short period of time for less than you probably would if you didn't have these people working for you.
00:19:06.000 So you need to give them a call for a free consultation, 800-542-2226.
00:19:08.000 That's 800-542-2226.
00:19:09.000 You can visit them at ustaxshield.com slash ben.
00:19:10.000 Make sure it's ustaxshield.com slash ben.
00:19:12.000 Make sure you use slash ben.
00:19:21.000 So they know that we sent you.
00:19:22.000 They advertise with us, which means we're grateful for their advertising.
00:19:25.000 That also lets them know that because we sent you, that they should continue advertising, and as we say, keeping our unemployable minion juvenile delinquents employed throughout the progress of The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:19:36.000 Okay, well, unfortunately, that runs out of time.
00:19:38.000 On Facebook Live, as well as YouTube, go to Daily Wire if you want to watch the rest.
00:19:41.000 Also, if you want to subscribe, and $8 a month gets you the ability to be part of the mailbag, which we do in a couple of days here.
00:19:51.000 And by the way, don't worry.
00:19:52.000 I know Tuesdays are usually Deconstructing the Culture Day.
00:19:54.000 We'll do that tomorrow.
00:19:55.000 But dailywire.com for the rest of the show live, or YouTube and iTunes and SoundCloud for the rest of the show audio.
00:20:02.000 You can download that for free a little bit later in the day.
00:20:05.000 Appreciate it.
00:20:05.000 We'll obviously continue the show momentarily.
00:20:07.000 I'm Ben Shapiro, and this is The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:20:15.000 Okay, so everybody's on Hillary defense now.
00:20:17.000 So Joe Biden, too, is on Hillary defense.
00:20:19.000 Joe Biden has a gift.
00:20:21.000 He is sort of the precise opposite of Ted Cruz.
00:20:23.000 So Ted Cruz is the most honest person I know who looks totally, 100% dishonest.
00:20:27.000 Joe Biden is the most dishonest person I know who looks honest.
00:20:30.000 He has a gift for looking honest.
00:20:32.000 So here's Joe Biden.
00:20:36.000 People have this suspicion about her, though.
00:20:43.000 She's been in public life so long.
00:20:45.000 Is it that she hasn't opened up, or is it because of some of her own doing?
00:20:49.000 I have a bad habit of saying what I believe and sometimes saying all that I mean here.
00:20:54.000 The truth is, Hillary knows it's a problem.
00:20:58.000 And she's trying to figure out how to remedy it.
00:21:00.000 And my advice to her, the best way to remedy it is
00:21:02.000 Talk about what you care about, and talk about it with some passion, and people will see through it.
00:21:09.000 But this is going to be, and you know better than I do Jeff, this could be the most negative campaign in the history of modern politics, I think.
00:21:18.000 And so my question is, is anybody going to be able to break through what is just
00:21:31.000 I love the fact that Joe Biden can't even defend her.
00:21:33.000 He starts just giving her advice about being honest from a guy who, by the way, is a plagiarist so bad that he had to dump out of the 1988 presidential campaign because he's an actual plagiarist.
00:21:42.000 Bernie Sanders does the same thing.
00:21:43.000 Talk about damning with faint praise or damning with terrible defense.
00:21:47.000 Bernie Sanders says that Hillary, you know, she's honest.
00:21:50.000 I know she's honest.
00:21:51.000 Also, she should stop using the Clinton Foundation as a pass-through.
00:21:54.000 Well, I would certainly suggest that as President of the United States, she should cease all operations, all contact with the Clinton Foundation.
00:22:05.000 Does that mean shutting it down?
00:22:07.000 Or just not being involved?
00:22:13.000 At the very least, she should not be involved.
00:22:15.000 At the very least.
00:22:16.000 And would you feel more comfortable if it just didn't exist during her time as President?
00:22:23.000 I don't know enough.
00:22:25.000 They do a lot of good things with AIDS and so forth, so I can't definitively answer that.
00:22:30.000 But I think, Chuck, what we've got to do as a nation...
00:22:34.000 I love that he basically spells out that Hillary is totally honest.
00:22:45.000 She is totally, totally honest except for all the things she has done.
00:22:48.000 All of those things she has not been honest, but all of the other things she has been honest.
00:22:53.000 I won't tell you which things are which things and whose things are whose things, but
00:22:56.000 I'm confused, and I just want to go down and lie and have a nap and eat some jello pudding, and when I wake up, I will walk around the neighborhood very, very slowly while singing to myself, this land is your land, this land is my land.
00:23:10.000 Bernie Sanders.
00:23:10.000 Okay, so, meanwhile, Hillary Clinton still on the campaign trail.
00:23:13.000 So, the big news, I think, over the weekend should have been Hillary's FBI report.
00:23:17.000 Instead, the big news over the weekend is that Hillary Clinton looks like death.
00:23:22.000 I mean, Hillary Clinton out on the campaign trail, she looks like a member of the Walking Dead, but not like the Walking Dead after, you know, a year where they've been out in the forest for a while, and the animals got to them, and they're moldering, and all this kind of stuff.
00:23:33.000 More like the Walking Dead, like, right after they die.
00:23:36.000 And so they're kind of, like, crawling around still, so they look, like, slightly alive.
00:23:39.000 That's sort of the Hillary Clinton stage of Walking Dead makeup that she's in.
00:23:43.000 So Hillary is speaking.
00:23:45.000 I think this is in Ohio.
00:23:46.000 And she starts off speaking.
00:23:48.000 Now, I can speak to this, OK?
00:23:50.000 Because I have a cough today.
00:23:51.000 I have a really bad throat.
00:23:52.000 You can hear it.
00:23:52.000 My voice is at a lower timbre, which makes me sound significantly more masculine.
00:23:56.000 Ladies, hold your fan mail.
00:23:57.000 But I've got the low voice today because I stayed up, as I mentioned, Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night, and Monday night with my baby.
00:24:05.000 So it's been a long, long Labor Day weekend.
00:24:07.000 So I've got a cough.
00:24:10.000 I'm kind of hacking up a lung here.
00:24:12.000 But I can hold it together.
00:24:13.000 And if I couldn't hold it together, I wouldn't do the show, or I would pop a bunch of lozenges and have some tea.
00:24:19.000 But I'm swigging water.
00:24:20.000 I mean, look, I'm coughing.
00:24:21.000 I understand.
00:24:22.000 And I've had situations, speaking publicly, where I cough.
00:24:26.000 Hillary coughs a lot.
00:24:27.000 She coughs a lot.
00:24:28.000 Now, everybody's making a big deal out of this.
00:24:30.000 Does she have walking pneumonia?
00:24:31.000 Does she have the black lung pop?
00:24:33.000 Nobody really knows.
00:24:34.000 But here's what it looked like when Hillary gets up there.
00:24:37.000 Remember, she's campaigning on, I'm healthy, everything's great, it's all gonna be solid.
00:24:40.000 Here's Hillary Clinton.
00:24:44.000 Boy, we have 63 days to go.
00:24:49.000 Oh my goodness.
00:24:52.000 Oh jeez.
00:24:59.000 Oh my goodness.
00:25:02.000 Yeah, see there's the water.
00:25:03.000 See, I also drink the water.
00:25:04.000 Listening to Hillary Clinton here about to begin her remarks in Cleveland.
00:25:15.000 Well, thank you.
00:25:20.000 Oh my goodness.
00:25:22.000 Whoa!
00:25:27.000 Okay, continued like this for four minutes.
00:25:30.000 Four solid minutes until she finally coughed up a half-aborted fetus and it just lay there kind of wobbling on the podium.
00:25:36.000 But in any case, she's coughing and coughing.
00:25:40.000 And everybody's going nuts over this.
00:25:41.000 Matt Drudge makes it his lead.
00:25:43.000 And it wasn't her only coughing fit of the day.
00:25:44.000 Here's Hillary Clinton on the plane.
00:25:46.000 She's also coughing.
00:25:48.000 He has, you know, made it clear that he doesn't particularly care whether Putin and the intelligence services attack American institutions.
00:25:59.000 So, could you get some water?
00:26:04.000 Thank you.
00:26:08.000 Can I get some water and a defibrillator, please?
00:26:13.000 My God.
00:26:17.000 She looks like my grandmother there.
00:26:19.000 I mean, really, she looks like she's tottering there.
00:26:20.000 I mean, it's really bad.
00:26:21.000 So there are a few reasons why this is worth noting and a few reasons why it's not worth noting.
00:26:27.000 First of all, we don't have any evidence she's actually dying, but we also don't have any evidence that she's not dying, meaning that we have this letter from her doctor that says that she's not dying.
00:26:37.000 We also have a letter from Donald Trump's doctor saying he's the healthiest man who ever lived.
00:26:40.000 So letters from doctors don't mean a lot to me.
00:26:44.000 Donald Trump obviously is not the healthiest man who ever lived.
00:26:47.000 That orange hue alone is sort of a giveaway.
00:26:49.000 But she's got the doctor's letter.
00:26:51.000 We don't have any evidence she's dying, but because she's so dishonest,
00:26:54.000 When she says, I just have these, it's just allergies, like she actually went ahead and she said in that first clip, she goes, she says, I'm just allergic to Donald Trump, right?
00:27:01.000 That's her excuse.
00:27:02.000 Or the pollen is out today.
00:27:03.000 Okay, it's allergies.
00:27:05.000 Except that we have tape of her coughing incessantly this entire campaign.
00:27:09.000 Now, I don't know that she, she has, you know, tuberculosis.
00:27:12.000 I don't think she's like Doc Holliday and she's gonna end up in a sanatorium where she, where she finally dies while holding Kurt Russell's hand and telling him to go be with the woman he loves.
00:27:21.000 I think that Hillary Clinton obviously is not totally well, and she won't release her complete medical record, so we don't know how unwell she is.
00:27:28.000 And she doesn't get to play the, you don't talk about my health card, after she played the, I get to talk about my health card.
00:27:34.000 So the reason, she did this back in, when she had her interview with the FBI.
00:27:38.000 So here's from those FBI documents I was talking about earlier, okay?
00:27:41.000 It says, according to the FBI, in December of 2012, Clinton suffered a concussion, this is what she told the FBI, and then around the new year, had a blood clot.
00:27:49.000 Based on her doctor's advice, she could only work at state for a few hours a day and could not recall every briefing she received.
00:27:56.000 There's two ways to receive that.
00:27:57.000 One is to understand that.
00:27:58.000 One is she couldn't remember the briefings because of her concussion.
00:28:02.000 The second was that she missed required meetings because of her concussion.
00:28:06.000 Either way, she obviously had some pretty severe health issues.
00:28:09.000 I mean, I've never had a health issue where after, you know, aside from having a bad flu or something, after I take a couple of days off, I can only work four hours a day?
00:28:17.000 It's not like her job requires her to lift heavy boxes, gang.
00:28:21.000 Her job requires her to sit on her rump and send classified emails via an unclassified private server.
00:28:27.000 Those are job requirements.
00:28:29.000 So she doesn't get to say, I get to talk about my health as an excuse for not being competent at my job, but you don't get to talk about my health as an excuse for me being incompetent at my job.
00:28:38.000 So the fact that she's a pathological liar means that we sort of suspect there's something more going on.
00:28:43.000 And when Trump says she doesn't have the stamina to deal with the world,
00:28:46.000 You know, that's not in completely arbitrary consideration.
00:28:50.000 We have had presidents who actually lost the capacity to deal with the world.
00:28:54.000 Woodrow Wilson, in his second term, basically he had a heart attack and there was a stroke and he was unable to function.
00:28:59.000 His wife was basically president of the United States for the last two years of the Woodrow Wilson administration, really.
00:29:05.000 And the same is true, you know, we elected William Henry Harrison, 40 days later he was dead.
00:29:11.000 We don't want to do that.
00:29:11.000 Health is obviously a consideration.
00:29:13.000 And again, the media pretending that no one should ask these questions is making people nuts.
00:29:17.000 Because we feel like, okay, we get to ask, why don't you ask her the questions?
00:29:20.000 You know, it's your job.
00:29:22.000 You couldn't ask her anywhere in here.
00:29:24.000 She's coughing right in front of you.
00:29:25.000 It's a bunch of members of the press.
00:29:27.000 No one's going to ask her about her complete medical records.
00:29:29.000 Nobody.
00:29:31.000 So, again, I think that there's one reason not to worry too much about the medical stuff.
00:29:35.000 One is because it's not going to win any votes.
00:29:37.000 Nobody's going to say, Hillary's so ill, I'm voting for the 70-year-old fat guy on the other side.
00:29:42.000 That's not a good argument.
00:29:43.000 But it does underscore the fact that she's deeply dishonest.
00:29:45.000 So when she says, I'm healthy, people think, well, if Hillary says she's healthy, that means she has stage 3 cancer instead of stage 4 cancer.
00:29:53.000 That's what Hillary's... I do have another theory here, and that's that Hillary is coughing so much because Ricola gave millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation.
00:30:01.000 So, it was a sponsorship opportunity.
00:30:05.000 Alright, in other news, Colin Kaepernick
00:30:08.000 Remember last week?
00:30:10.000 I always preface these sorts of statements with this preface.
00:30:15.000 One, I'm always right.
00:30:18.000 Not sometimes, not rarely, always.
00:30:21.000 That's only a slight exaggeration, because a couple of times I have been wrong, and I issue corrections when I'm wrong.
00:30:25.000 But when it comes to political predictions, well, there have been...
00:30:31.000 Trump is the nominee.
00:30:31.000 But aside from that, aside from that, when it comes to predicting the behavior of the left, apparently I'm worse at predicting the behavior of the right.
00:30:38.000 When it comes to predicting the behavior of the left, I am stellar at it.
00:30:41.000 And when I say I'm stellar at it, I mean, my God, I'm magnificent.
00:30:44.000 So, the reason I say that is because last week, if you recall, I said about Colin Kaepernick that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama basically support his agenda.
00:30:52.000 They basically support him.
00:30:53.000 So naturally, over the weekend, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama came out and supported Colin Kaepernick.
00:30:58.000 Colin Kaepernick, for those who don't remember,
00:31:00.000 He's the mediocre-at-best San Francisco 49ers quarterback who's been kneeling during the National Anthem at 49ers games.
00:31:09.000 He's now been joined by some female soccer player, I guess?
00:31:12.000 Megan Rapinoe?
00:31:13.000 Rapinoe?
00:31:14.000 Rapinoe?
00:31:15.000 Rapini-boo-doo?
00:31:16.000 I don't know who she is.
00:31:17.000 She's only known because she played women's soccer in the World Cup and the female World Cup, which we pretend to pay attention to every four years and then we don't care about it ever again.
00:31:25.000 And the only name any man remembers is Brandi Chastain because she once took off her shirt.
00:31:29.000 That's women's soccer.
00:31:31.000 They try to start a league after every female World Cup and all the girls, oh, girls play soccer, and then nobody ever shows up to these games.
00:31:37.000 In any case, Megan Rapinoe went down on one knee for the national anthem.
00:31:41.000 She was famous for being a female soccer player and being a lesbian.
00:31:45.000 And she's famous for being a lesbian because she kissed her partner after the World Cup game and the media went nuts over it because, wow, two girls kissing.
00:31:52.000 So special.
00:31:53.000 So, she kneels.
00:31:54.000 I thought the best part of that story, by the way, is that if you look at the picture of her kneeling, you can see in the background the stands completely empty.
00:32:01.000 There are more people in this studio right now than were at that soccer game.
00:32:06.000 Bye!
00:32:17.000 Does this, has been doing this routine where he kneels for the national anthem because he hates the police and the police are racist or something.
00:32:24.000 And it's funny because after calling the police racist, the police have been guarding him at all the games and preventing anybody from doing anything to him.
00:32:30.000 And also, I assume that if somebody tries to break into his giant mansion, which is filled with literally a thousand pairs of shoes, the first people he will call will be the police.
00:32:37.000 But as I said, Colin Kaepernick is not a fringe character.
00:32:41.000 He represents mainstream left thought, just more stupidly stated.
00:32:45.000 Proof positive comes in the form of befuddled Tim Kaine.
00:32:48.000 So here's befuddled Tim Kaine defending stupid Colin Kaepernick.
00:32:52.000 You got to respect people's ability to act according to their conscience.
00:32:55.000 I mean, I'd do it differently.
00:32:57.000 I think if you really thought about issues and about this country, you'd do it differently.
00:33:02.000 And when I heard him explain his rationale, didn't really make that much sense to me.
00:33:06.000 But you got to respect people's ability to act according to their conscience.
00:33:10.000 So I wouldn't presume to tell them what to do.
00:33:12.000 Okay, so first of all, this line is such a lie.
00:33:15.000 You have to respect people's ability to act according to their conscience?
00:33:17.000 Okay, how about the Christian baker who doesn't want to participate in the same-sex wedding?
00:33:21.000 Do you respect their ability to act according to their conscience?
00:33:24.000 Of course not.
00:33:25.000 When he says, I respect his ability to act according to his conscience, what he really means is, I agree with his entire critique of the police.
00:33:31.000 The police are a bunch of racists.
00:33:32.000 America's a racist place.
00:33:34.000 It's exactly what I said last week.
00:33:35.000 The left agrees with Colin Kaepernick.
00:33:37.000 And then Obama does the same routine.
00:33:39.000 Here's President Obama doing that routine.
00:33:41.000 I think he's in, uh, is he in China at this point?
00:33:43.000 I think he's in China.
00:33:43.000 And here, and here is, here is the, the, is he in the Philippines at this point, maybe?
00:33:47.000 No, he's in China.
00:33:48.000 He's in China.
00:33:49.000 Okay, so he's in China.
00:33:50.000 I should know from the flag.
00:33:51.000 But here, here's the President.
00:33:52.000 He's exercising his constitutional right to make a statement.
00:33:56.000 I think there's a long history of sports figures
00:34:01.000 Doing so?
00:34:01.000 One second.
00:34:02.000 Okay, so first I'm going to break this one down because there's a lot to this.
00:34:05.000 First he says, same thing as Cain, he's exercising his constitutional right.
00:34:09.000 Nobody doubted he had a constitutional right.
00:34:11.000 We just don't know that he has two brain cells to rub together.
00:34:14.000 Lots of people exercise their constitutional rights.
00:34:16.000 Presumably Obama doesn't care about them.
00:34:18.000 He jailed a YouTube filmmaker who is not responsible for Benghazi.
00:34:22.000 He jailed Dinesh D'Souza who he nailed on some minor electioneering charge.
00:34:27.000 This is a president who didn't care about the First Amendment.
00:34:29.000 Come on.
00:34:30.000 Come on.
00:34:30.000 This is a president who went to the UN and said the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.
00:34:37.000 And this is a guy who says they're exercising their constitutional right.
00:34:40.000 Funny, I don't remember him doing this routine with people with whom he disagrees.
00:34:43.000 Let's continue.
00:34:46.000 I think there are a lot of ways you can do it.
00:34:50.000 As a general matter, when it comes to the flag and the national anthem and
00:34:58.000 Uh, the meaning that that holds for our men and women in uniform and those who fought for us, um, you know, that is, uh, a tough thing for them to get past to then hear, uh, what his deeper concerns are.
00:35:18.000 But I don't- Hold on for one second.
00:35:19.000 Okay, I want to point out something else.
00:35:21.000 Notice who he says the flag matters to.
00:35:23.000 Veterans, people who have served,
00:35:26.000 How about the rest of us?
00:35:27.000 There are only 2 million people in the U.S.
00:35:29.000 Armed Services right now.
00:35:29.000 There are 330 million people living in the United States.
00:35:32.000 What about the rest of us?
00:35:33.000 Does he think it bothers us when people are disrespectful to the national anthem or the flag?
00:35:39.000 It's amazing.
00:35:40.000 Obama's such a lefty, he thinks the only people who care about the flag are members of the military.
00:35:44.000 That's really what he thinks.
00:35:44.000 That's what he's saying right there.
00:35:46.000 Because he doesn't care about the flag.
00:35:48.000 I mean, the fact is that if President Obama were not president, if he were just a community organizer, an old-school community organizer, he would be praising Colin Kaepernick wholesale, and he would be kneeling during the National Anthem.
00:35:59.000 That's the reality.
00:35:59.000 Let me hear him finish up.
00:36:01.000 Without his sincerity, based on what I've heard, I think he cares about some real, legitimate issues that have to be talked about.
00:36:16.000 If nothing else, what he's done is he's generated more conversation around some topics that need to be talked about.
00:36:23.000 Okay, so this is the left's favorite routine.
00:36:25.000 This is the left's favorite routine when they say things like, it's generated more conversation, it's opened a conversation.
00:36:30.000 This is their way of saying, I know it's politically unpalatable for me to talk about this, but I like it.
00:36:35.000 I like it because it opened a conversation.
00:36:38.000 Well, I mean, dude, I can open a conversation on anything.
00:36:42.000 Watch incest talk.
00:36:44.000 The conversation has been opened.
00:36:45.000 Was that great?
00:36:46.000 Or was that kind of weird?
00:36:47.000 Kind of weird, right?
00:36:48.000 Well, it's kind of weird when Colin Kaepernick decides to wear pig cop socks.
00:36:52.000 It doesn't open a conversation.
00:36:53.000 It's him being a douche.
00:36:55.000 But the president doesn't think that.
00:36:56.000 He agrees with Colin Kaepernick.
00:36:57.000 So the entire left is Colin Kaepernick.
00:36:59.000 They're just not honest enough to be Colin Kaepernick.
00:37:02.000 Okay, in other news, and then we'll get to some things I like and things I hate.
00:37:04.000 So, in other news,
00:37:06.000 Big news over at Fox.
00:37:07.000 Greta Van Susteren is out.
00:37:09.000 Brit Hume has replaced her.
00:37:11.000 And there's talk that there's going to be some major turnover at Fox, that basically with Roger Ailes being gone, that there's now a move to kind of cleanse Fox of the Trumpkins, that all the people who are big fans of Trump are going to be out on their rears after this election cycle, and that a lot of them are going to find a new home at Trump TV if Trump goes on to lose.
00:37:29.000 I think the second half of that is true.
00:37:31.000 I think the second half of that is clearly true.
00:37:33.000 If Trump loses, I think that he will be working with Steve Bannon and Roger Ailes on a pay network in which there are hosts like Greta Van Susteren, like Sean Hannity, like Ann Coulter, you know, people who are big fans of Trump.
00:37:45.000 They understand that there's a lot of money to be made.
00:37:48.000 If you have 500,000 subscribers to one of these networks and it's $10 a month for these people, then you're making $5 million a month on this kind of thing.
00:37:55.000 So, there's a lot of money to be made.
00:37:57.000 In an internet network.
00:37:59.000 That's not even counting advertising.
00:38:00.000 There's a lot of money to be made here for an internet network that's reliant on this sort of talent.
00:38:05.000 But it is interesting that there's been this sort of shakeup at Fox News.
00:38:07.000 And it does cast some light on what was going on at Fox News during the primaries.
00:38:11.000 Apparently the Murdochs were very upset that basically Roger Ailes turned Fox News into a Trump celebration machine all the way through the primaries.
00:38:19.000 I don't know.
00:38:31.000 I said when I supported Ted Cruz.
00:38:33.000 I said when I didn't support Trump.
00:38:34.000 And that means you know where I'm coming from.
00:38:36.000 The biggest problem that they had at Fox News while Ailes was there is people pretending that they were objective, and who still pretend they were objective, when they clearly were not.
00:38:44.000 So there's a new day dawning at Fox, and it's going to be interesting to see where it goes.
00:38:47.000 They paid out a $20 million sexual harassment settlement to Gretchen Carlson, by the way.
00:38:51.000 Which is, wow, that's a lot of money.
00:38:53.000 That's a lot of money to pay out for a sexual harassment settlement.
00:38:57.000 And that means she must have unbelievable amounts of dirt.
00:38:59.000 And also there must be a lot of fire where that smoke came from.
00:39:03.000 Okay.
00:39:03.000 Time for some things I like and then some things that I hate.
00:39:06.000 And as I say, Deconstructing the Culture is usually Tuesdays.
00:39:08.000 I forgot it was a Tuesday because it's the first day of the week.
00:39:11.000 And so we'll do that tomorrow.
00:39:11.000 Okay.
00:39:12.000 Things that I like.
00:39:13.000 So.
00:39:14.000 I said before I'm right about everything, but I'm not.
00:39:16.000 I was wrong about the Game of Thrones series.
00:39:18.000 I wasn't dramatically wrong.
00:39:20.000 I liked the first Game of Thrones season.
00:39:22.000 I'd read all the books, so I felt I didn't need to watch the series after reading the books, especially because season one was filled with random boobs.
00:39:30.000 A certain amount of random boobs is fine.
00:39:32.000 You hit random boob overload, and the series just becomes about the random boobs.
00:39:36.000 And in the first season of Game of Thrones, there was a lot of kind of random, useless nudity.
00:39:41.000 So my sister convinced me that I should give Game of Thrones another shot.
00:39:45.000 Jeremy, the managing editor, he was also raving about Game of Thrones.
00:39:49.000 As I was sitting there zombified from having stayed up for a billion consecutive hours with a small baby,
00:39:55.000 And as I was sitting there with the baby nursing on the bottle that I'm holding and him turned away from the TV because small babies can't have screen time, I put on Game of Thrones and I watched a bunch of season two.
00:40:05.000 It is pretty great.
00:40:06.000 For people who are not aware of Game of Thrones, it's pretty spectacular, I will admit.
00:40:10.000 It is well produced, it's really well written.
00:40:11.000 It makes me sad because I know where it's going and I knew where it was going before.
00:40:15.000 For people who have been watching, there were two groups of people.
00:40:18.000 The people who didn't read the books and the people who did when it came to the Red Wedding.
00:40:21.000 I, Eddard of the House Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North, sentence you to die.
00:40:24.000 I saw what I saw.
00:40:24.000 I saw in White Walkers.
00:40:50.000 You understand why I did it?
00:40:52.000 He was a deserter.
00:40:55.000 The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword.
00:41:02.000 Is it true he saw the White Walkers?
00:41:07.000 A madman sees what he sees.
00:41:11.000 Lord Eddard Stark.
00:41:13.000 I would name you the Hand of the King.
00:41:17.000 I have no choice.
00:41:18.000 That's what you tell your family.
00:41:20.000 Tell yourselves.
00:41:22.000 That's what men always say when honor calls.
00:41:25.000 You do have a choice.
00:41:28.000 And you've made it.
00:41:30.000 You might not have my name, but you have my blood.
00:41:34.000 Bastard boy with nothing to inherit.
00:41:37.000 Off to serve in the ancient order of the Night's Watch.
00:41:40.000 Next time I see you, you'll be all in black.
00:41:42.000 It was always my color.
00:41:44.000 You were never afraid.
00:41:45.000 There's nothing to be afraid of.
00:41:46.000 You've chosen your opponents wisely.
00:41:49.000 I have a knack for it.
00:41:51.000 A Targaryen girl convinces her Horselord husband to invade.
00:41:55.000 We won't be able to stop them.
00:41:58.000 Get it over with.
00:41:59.000 Cut her throat.
00:42:00.000 We commit murder on the word of this man.
00:42:02.000 I'm a purveyor of beauty and discretion.
00:42:07.000 So you can see, even the first season, even the trailer, they've got the random boobies, which we blurred out for the sake of the audience.
00:42:13.000 But it is a really good series.
00:42:16.000 It's not rated R. I mean, this is not for people under the age of 17, for sure.
00:42:21.000 But it's really well-produced, and it's really great.
00:42:26.000 So OK.
00:42:28.000 So Game of Thrones.
00:42:29.000 Things that I hate.
00:42:31.000 OK.
00:42:31.000 So as you know, I love myself.
00:42:35.000 Yeah.
00:42:37.000 As you know, I love myself a good Harambee joke.
00:42:41.000 I think that these things are the funniest thing ever.
00:42:42.000 I have a really dark sense of humor.
00:42:44.000 I think they're hilarious.
00:42:45.000 So, now, after this gorilla was killed at the Cincinnati Zoo,
00:42:53.000 People started making Harambee jokes.
00:42:55.000 Now, apparently, there are two RAs at UMass Amherst who have decided that you cannot use Harambee jokes anymore.
00:43:05.000 No more Harambee jokes.
00:43:07.000 Because they are, quote, not only derogatory, but also microaggressions.
00:43:11.000 Also, microaggressions.
00:43:13.000 Why are they microaggressions?
00:43:14.000 I don't know.
00:43:16.000 Apparently, there are a couple of memes that have become very popular.
00:43:19.000 Harambe died for our sins.
00:43:20.000 Harambe the gorilla mauled by Cecil the Lion in animal heaven.
00:43:25.000 People including Harambe on the list of celebrity deaths of 2016, like Prince and David Bowie, which is spectacular.
00:43:34.000 People are getting mad because there's one particular one that is genitalia out for Harambe.
00:43:39.000 Right?
00:43:40.000 Which doesn't even mean anything.
00:43:41.000 It's just like a silly, ridiculous thing.
00:43:43.000 And they're saying that this is some sort of terrible, terrible, horrible thing.
00:43:47.000 And so, it's some sort of microaggression.
00:43:50.000 I love this.
00:43:50.000 Any negative remarks regarding Harambee will be seen as a direct attack to our campus' African-American community.
00:43:56.000 What?
00:43:57.000 What?
00:43:58.000 Like, it's an actual gorilla that got shot?
00:43:59.000 I didn't think you knew black people.
00:44:01.000 Like, what?
00:44:03.000 Please be careful what gets written on your whiteboards, as well as what gets written on them.
00:44:06.000 If you are not the one writing these remarks, please let an RA on duty know.
00:44:09.000 What in the world?
00:44:11.000 I love this.
00:44:12.000 They said that genitalia out for Harambe, which is a paraphrase, could be a Title IX violation.
00:44:18.000 I love this.
00:44:19.000 Using phrases or hashtags which encourage the exposition of body parts runs the risk of being reported as a Title IX incident.
00:44:26.000 First of all, these people don't know English.
00:44:27.000 It's exposure, not exposition of body parts.
00:44:30.000 Exposition of body parts would mean me fully explaining the body part.
00:44:33.000 Exposure of body parts, idiots, runs the risk of being reported as a Title IX incident.
00:44:37.000 It's a sexual harassment violation to say genitalia out for Harambee.
00:44:42.000 Some of these people, I'm sorry, they absolutely need a life.
00:44:45.000 Other things that I hate.
00:44:48.000 I can't get over these folks.
00:44:49.000 Other things that I hate.
00:44:52.000 There's a hashtag that's been trending on Twitter pretty much all day.
00:44:56.000 Hashtag IfMenHadPeriods.
00:44:58.000 Number one, if men had periods, they wouldn't have so many run-on sentences.
00:45:02.000 But number two, there it is.
00:45:07.000 But I guess the implication from feminists is, if men had periods, the world would be different.
00:45:11.000 They're so sexist about women with periods.
00:45:14.000 I don't understand what the point is.
00:45:15.000 Women are super-duper rough and tough because women have periods?
00:45:18.000 Okay, men go to war.
00:45:21.000 For the entirety of human history, men have limbs blown off them.
00:45:24.000 I understand.
00:45:25.000 I have a wife.
00:45:26.000 I have sisters.
00:45:28.000 It doesn't look pleasant.
00:45:29.000 But this idea that it's just evidence of a sexist society.
00:45:31.000 Talk to God if you don't like it.
00:45:33.000 I didn't make the period happen.
00:45:34.000 God did.
00:45:35.000 Nature did.
00:45:36.000 Evolution did.
00:45:37.000 Lots of things made it happen, but I'm not one of them.
00:45:40.000 I've been seeing stuff like if men had periods, then tampons would be tax-free.
00:45:46.000 Really?
00:45:46.000 Are hair plugs tax-free?
00:45:48.000 Like, really, I'm missing that part.
00:45:50.000 There's a bunch of stuff that men have that women—are prostate exams tax-free?
00:45:53.000 Like, we have lots of stuff that's wrong with us, too, ladies.
00:45:56.000 We have to worry about prostate cancer.
00:45:57.000 You don't.
00:45:58.000 But this idea that women are victimized by their own periods, like, I understand it's unpleasant.
00:46:03.000 Lots of unpleasant things happen in life.
00:46:05.000 But blaming men for them, it's just—if men had periods—here's the bottom line.
00:46:09.000 Hashtag, if men had periods, feminists would have to find another thing to complain about men for.
00:46:13.000 That's all.
00:46:14.000 Okay.
00:46:16.000 These are extra long things I hate, because it was a long weekend, man.
00:46:19.000 So Lena Dunham is one of the world's worst human beings.
00:46:22.000 And Lena Dunham, over the weekend, she got herself into really hot water because she did this exchange with Amy Schumer.
00:46:29.000 How the world did not implode from the stupidity is beyond me.
00:46:32.000 So you've got Amy Schumer, who's completely comedy cancer, with Lena Dunham, who's comedy Ebola.
00:46:39.000 Kills you just the same, but quicker.
00:46:40.000 And they were talking about some party they went to.
00:46:44.000 Here's what Lena Dunham said, okay, you ready?
00:46:45.000 And you have to imagine a woman who looks like a potato saying this.
00:46:50.000 I attempted to grind my ass on Michael B. Jordan for an additional 20 minutes and then left right after you.
00:46:55.000 I was sitting next to Odell Beckham Jr.
00:46:57.000 and it was amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards.
00:47:02.000 He was like, that's a marshmallow, that's a child, that's a dog.
00:47:05.000 He wasn't mean, he just seemed confused.
00:47:07.000 The vibe was very much like, do I want to F it?
00:47:09.000 Is it wearing a, yep, it's wearing a tuxedo.
00:47:11.000 I'm gonna go back to my cell phone.
00:47:13.000 It was like we were forced to be together, and he literally was scrolling this Instagram rather than have to look at a woman in a bowtie.
00:47:18.000 I was like, this should be called the Metropolitan Museum of Getting Rejected by Athletes.
00:47:23.000 Lena Dunham is the most obnoxious person.
00:47:24.000 There are about eight things here that are obnoxious.
00:47:26.000 Number one, why is it that she gets to treat black men like sexual objects, but if a black man looks at her in a non-sexual way, she's insulted?
00:47:34.000 She just said that she grinded her butt on Michael B. Jordan for 20 minutes.
00:47:39.000 A very attractive black guy.
00:47:41.000 And then she says about Odell Beckham Jr., another black guy, well Odell Beckham Jr., I mean that's just, that's just terrible that he wouldn't look at me as a sex object.
00:47:48.000 Do black men not have sexual agency in Lena Dunham's world?
00:47:51.000 Only Lena Dunham has sexual agency?
00:47:53.000 That's number one.
00:47:54.000 Number two, no person alive is obligated to find another person sexually attractive.
00:48:00.000 No person alive is obligated to find Lena Dunham sexually attractive.
00:48:03.000 I know she wants to pass a federal law to make it an obligation for men to find her sexually attractive.
00:48:08.000 Otherwise, I don't understand why she takes pictures of herself in her shows sitting on a toilet naked eating cake.
00:48:13.000 I know that she's desperate for some sort of
00:48:15.000 Some sort of mass approval of her body type.
00:48:18.000 But nobody has any sort of moral or physical requirement to be attracted to Lena Dunham.
00:48:24.000 Third, if you make yourself deliberately, deliberately unattractive, like if a woman is wearing a male tuxedo to an event, don't be surprised if men look at you and they're like, oh, that's not that hot.
00:48:34.000 Okay, if you wore a burlap sack, I assume that would be the same thing.
00:48:37.000 Lena Dunham, this usually isn't a problem, because no matter what Lena Dunham's wearing, she's not attractive.
00:48:40.000 Okay, so enough of Lena Dunham and her man-hating and her covert racism.
00:48:44.000 But she eventually walked a lot of this stuff back and said, it was just me being insecure.
00:48:48.000 Which, by the way, is her go-to excuse.
00:48:50.000 Yeah, me performing unpleasant acts on myself next to my sweaty, muscly sister in her memoir.
00:48:57.000 That's because she was insecure.
00:48:58.000 Everything can be chalked up to insecurity.
00:49:00.000 It must be convenient to live in Lena Dunham's extremely wealthy, insecure world where all of the excuses for your bad behavior come down to, I just didn't feel good about myself.
00:49:09.000 Maybe you shouldn't feel good about yourself because you're a bad person.
00:49:10.000 Did that occur to you?
00:49:12.000 I love this idea that we're all supposed to feel bad for you because you don't feel good about yourself.
00:49:18.000 Well, I don't have an obligation to boost your self-esteem if you're a garbage person like Lena Dunham.
00:49:22.000 OK, final thing.
00:49:25.000 So I've made it a rule that I don't talk about Milo Yiannopoulos's nonsense, but I thought that this was interesting and worthy of covering.
00:49:34.000 He did an interview with ABC's Terry Moran, and Terry Moran was asking him about his trollery, the fact that Milo's constantly trolling people.
00:49:42.000 And what you're about to watch is two morons going right at each other.
00:49:46.000 And it's really like two monkeys trying to have sex with a basketball, mostly.
00:49:49.000 But here's the exchange.
00:49:51.000 Are you a troll?
00:49:53.000 Of course!
00:49:53.000 What is trolling?
00:49:54.000 How do you look at it?
00:49:55.000 I like to think of myself as a virtuous troll, you know?
00:49:57.000 I'm doing God's work.
00:49:59.000 Milo Yiannopoulos, also known as Nero Online, joined in the tormenting of Jones, calling her a man on Twitter to his 350,000 plus followers.
00:50:09.000 In the Twitter storm that happened, you called her a dude.
00:50:12.000 If Leslie Jones were right here, would you say, you look like a dude?
00:50:15.000 Yeah, probably.
00:50:16.000 You would say that to her?
00:50:17.000 Yeah, probably.
00:50:17.000 I probably would.
00:50:19.000 Then you're an idiot, really.
00:50:21.000 I don't say anything I don't believe, but of course I do say things in a way that is going to elicit a response from people.
00:50:26.000 Jones detailed the abusive words and images she was receiving and the racist and misogynistic slurs against her that even compared her to an ape.
00:50:35.000 Leslie Jones is the equal of you or me as a human being with feelings and numbers.
00:50:39.000 Of course she is.
00:50:40.000 But this idea, this idea that celebrities are these fragile wallflowers, give me a break.
00:50:46.000 You and I both know people in Hollywood.
00:50:47.000 Because she acted in a movie, you rallied people.
00:50:49.000 The stars of Hollywood blockbusters are sitting at home crying into their iPhones.
00:50:53.000 Why didn't you stand up as people called her ape, gorilla and worse and say, guys,
00:50:58.000 This is good to do, but not racist.
00:51:01.000 Why should I have to police other people's speech?
00:51:03.000 Why not stand up for rights?
00:51:04.000 I'm responsible for what I say.
00:51:06.000 I'm perfectly happy to tell you I think that stuff is disgusting.
00:51:08.000 Sir, you have no obligation for your 350,000 followers who are descending on this woman.
00:51:15.000 I'm sorry for being popular, but I am not responsible for what 350,000 people on the internet say.
00:51:19.000 I am responsible for what I say.
00:51:21.000 Do you go after Selena Gomez when her fans send death threats to Justin Bieber?
00:51:24.000 No.
00:51:25.000 Do you go after Beyonce when her fans go after Taylor Swift?
00:51:28.000 No.
00:51:29.000 Go after somebody's body?
00:51:31.000 Yeah.
00:51:31.000 To denigrate their ideas?
00:51:33.000 Absolutely.
00:51:33.000 What grade are you in?
00:51:35.000 Seriously.
00:51:35.000 No, no, no, no, no.
00:51:35.000 Are you a 13 year old boy?
00:51:36.000 No, no, no, no, no.
00:51:37.000 Absolutely I will and I'll tell you why.
00:51:39.000 Because somebody doesn't have a weight that you think is proper?
00:51:42.000 That's revolting.
00:51:44.000 No, it's not revolting.
00:51:45.000 Yes, it is.
00:51:45.000 No, it's not.
00:51:45.000 I'll tell you what's revolting.
00:51:46.000 What's revolting is the body positivity movement.
00:51:49.000 What's revolting is this idea now that you can tell women that they'll be healthy at any size.
00:51:54.000 Why?
00:51:54.000 Because it tells women that you can be fat and you can be unattractive and you'll be happy anyway.
00:51:59.000 That's a lie.
00:52:01.000 So, the reason that I say this is two idiots going at each other is because it's legitimately two morons going at each other.
00:52:06.000 So, on the one side, on the left, you have Terry Moran, who is a Terry Moran, right?
00:52:10.000 You have Terry Moran saying that it's just terrible, no one should ever insult Leslie Jones, it's just the end of the world if Leslie Jones feels insulted.
00:52:16.000 And Milo's right.
00:52:32.000 Right, but you are the one who's actively promoting this stuff to your followers.
00:52:37.000 Like, he was retweeting fake tweets from Leslie Jones that suggested she said things that she didn't say.
00:52:42.000 Milo himself has tweeted me personally pictures of a black baby on the day that my kid was born.
00:52:49.000 I'll condemn all this stuff.
00:52:50.000 Yeah, right.
00:52:51.000 Sure, Milo, yeah.
00:52:52.000 That's why you've been condemning it nonstop ever since, by which I mean you haven't condemned one word of it, basically.
00:52:58.000 Or if you did, it was in print.
00:52:59.000 It certainly wasn't at the time, and it was in retrospect.
00:53:02.000 So Milo likes to play this kind of dual game where he says that he's being risque by going after Leslie Jones and calling her a dude online, but he's not responsible for any of his followers taking his lead and then running it off the rails.
00:53:14.000 Without condemning them.
00:53:15.000 And he won't even condemn them online.
00:53:18.000 He'll just do it now to Terry Moran without actually doing it online.
00:53:22.000 He gives a bad name to the politically incorrect movement.
00:53:24.000 He does.
00:53:24.000 I mean this kind of stuff, like what he says at the very end here about body shaming, about fat shaming, and about the body positivity movement.
00:53:32.000 There's a perfectly decent case that he actually makes at the very end there, that the notion that all those shapes and body sizes are equally healthy is nonsense.
00:53:41.000 You don't fix that by saying that Leslie Jones is a dude.
00:53:44.000 That doesn't fix anything.
00:53:46.000 It's not a solution.
00:53:47.000 You're not speaking truths.
00:53:48.000 You're just being a jerk.
00:53:50.000 And the idea is, for Milo, the idea is we have to erase all lines so that we can talk about anything.
00:53:55.000 And for Terry Moran, the idea is we have to create tons of lines so you can talk about nothing.
00:54:00.000 Okay, there is a happy medium, and that is, how about you just don't be a jerk and you say things that are true?
00:54:04.000 How about that?
00:54:06.000 But again, more people watch this, and what they get from it is that people who are in favor of healthy standards of living are all like Milo.
00:54:15.000 And that's what the left gets from this.
00:54:17.000 And the people on the right get from this that the entire left is people like Terry Moran who just want to waste time on ABC's Nightline talking about the tweets that Milo sends to people.
00:54:25.000 I'm one of the people Milo targeted the most, and I didn't want him banned from Twitter.
00:54:29.000 I think it was stupid.
00:54:30.000 I think it was stupid.
00:54:31.000 I will say that since he's been banned from Twitter, I mean, to go to his point, he's not responsible for his followers, I will say this.
00:54:35.000 In effect, the level of anti-Semitism and racism in my timeline, the people who have been notifying me, you know, going after me, has dropped by at least 80% since he's been gone from Twitter.
00:54:45.000 So, you know, that is what it is.
00:54:47.000 But it's just, the level of discourse in our politics has now come down to Milo saying, you can say whatever you want, and I'm just being troll-y, on the one hand, which does a great disservice to people who actually want to speak the truth, as opposed to just being a jerk.
00:54:59.000 And on the other hand, you have Terry Moran saying anything that's politically incorrect is you being a jerk.
00:55:03.000 As opposed to, political correctness is stupid, and if we speak the truth, then we'll actually be able to fight political incorrectness, but we won't be able to do that if we caricature ourselves as a bunch of morons who spend their days online throwing stupid slurs at Leslie Jones.
00:55:17.000 Okay, well that brings us to the end of today's program.
00:55:19.000 Tomorrow we will do Deconstructing the Culture, we have Bible Talk a little bit, and we'll see if this CNN poll is real, this big new CNN poll for Donald Trump.
00:55:27.000 We'll talk about all of it.
00:55:27.000 I'm Ben Shapiro, this is The Ben Shapiro Show.
