Summary

Thirty-four people were killed and over 170 wounded in a terror attack in the heart of Europe, and President Obama's response to it is the perfect encapsulation of his anti-Islamic, anti-Americanism and anti-colonialism. He's at a ball game, and he's in Cuba, and Bill Clinton is trying to take credit for it. Ben Shapiro breaks it all down and explains why we should be mad at President Obama for not doing more to counter radical Islamic terrorism. He also explains why the Constitution is actually under assault. And he explains why he should be worried about Bill Clinton going after President Obama, not the other way around, and why the Democratic Party is not doing enough to fight back against radical Islam. 00:00:00.000 We're here, and it's a Tuesday.
00:00:01.000 And today, after at least 34 people were murdered in Brussels, Belgium, over 170 were wounded in a really horrible Islamic terror attack, President Obama manfully took to the podium in Havana, Cuba, where he's been busy surgically implanting his lips directly to Raul Castro's colon to comment.
00:00:20.000 Here's exactly what he had to say.
00:00:21.000 This is full comment, by the way.
00:00:22.000 The entirety of what he had to say about Belgium is what you're about to see.
00:00:25.000 Here we go.
00:00:27.000 Before I begin,
00:00:29.000 Please indulge me.
00:00:30.000 I want to comment on the terrorist attacks that have taken place in Brussels.
00:00:36.000 The thoughts and the prayers of the American people are with the people of Belgium, and we stand in solidarity with them in condemning these outrageous attacks against innocent people.
00:00:47.000 We will do whatever is necessary to support our friend and ally Belgium in bringing to justice those who are responsible.
00:00:56.000 And this is yet another reminder that the world must unite
00:01:01.000 We must be together, regardless of nationality or race or faith, in fighting against the scourge of terrorism.
00:01:12.000 We can and we will defeat those who threaten the safety and security of people all around the world.
00:01:18.000 And that was it.
00:01:19.000 That was all of it.
00:01:19.000 That's everything he had to say.
00:01:20.000 All of it, right?
00:01:22.000 You got 30-plus people dead, 170-plus people wounded in the middle of Europe, the heart of Europe.
00:01:26.000 And that was it.
00:01:27.000 52 seconds.
00:01:28.000 Precisely 52 seconds.
00:01:29.000 That was it.
00:01:30.000 Then he moved on to his comments on Cuba, in which he fulsomely praised the warm welcome of the Castros and declared the Cold War over.
00:01:38.000 Hallelujah!
00:01:38.000 Let's all go to the ballgame.
00:01:40.000 That's exactly what he did.
00:01:41.000 He went to a ballgame.
00:01:41.000 He's at a ballgame right now.
00:01:42.000 Why would we expect anything more from the president who spent yesterday posing in front of a mural of communist terrorist Che Guevara?
00:01:50.000 That's the guy who advocated Cuba nuke the United States during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
00:01:54.000 He also planned a prospective November 1962 terror attack involving bombing Macy's, Gimbel's, Bloomingdale's, and Grand Central Station the day after Thanksgiving.
00:02:03.000 Why would we expect anything more from the president who signed the Iran deal that forwarded a terrorist state's nuclear ambitions?
00:02:09.000 Why exactly would we expect anything more from the guy who has allowed ISIS to rise from JV team to scourge of the West?
00:02:16.000 Obama stands up solidly in favor of Obama.
00:02:19.000 Today, President Obama was too busy enshrining his legacy of surrender in Cuba to worry too much about enshrining his legacy of surrender to radical Islam.
00:02:27.000 With leadership like this, a president who pledges allegiance to all of the multicultural, diverse ideas that make international terror not just possible, but probable, it's no wonder the West burns.
00:02:40.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:02:41.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:02:49.000 So it's a big news day, and we'll get to all of it today.
00:02:51.000 We'll get to what's happening in Brussels.
00:02:53.000 We'll get to what's happening in Cuba.
00:02:54.000 We'll get to the infighting between the Democrats.
00:02:58.000 Bill Clinton went after President Obama.
00:02:59.000 But first, we have to note, if you feel like the Constitution is under assault, it's not because you're crazy.
00:03:04.000 The Constitution is actually under assault.
00:03:07.000 But if you're wondering how it's under assault, you want to know more about what the Constitution actually says, you need to go to our friends over at Hillsdale College.
00:03:14.000 Hillsdale College, a wonderful institution.
00:03:16.000 I recommend it to every parent who's thinking of sending their kid to college.
00:03:19.000 And now, it's not just kids.
00:03:21.000 If you're a parent, then you get to participate too.
00:03:24.000 If you're a parent, or if you're somebody who's not at Hillsdale College, you go to hillsdale.edu slash ben.
00:03:29.000 That's hillsdale.edu slash ben.
00:03:31.000 And you can get their free Constitution 101 course.
00:03:34.000 It's an online course.
00:03:35.000 They teach you everything that you need to know, the basics of the Constitution.
00:03:38.000 We're good to go.
00:04:02.000 Today, there was this massive terror attack in Brussels.
00:04:04.000 Brussels, for those who don't know, is located in Belgium.
00:04:06.000 And Belgium, for those who don't know, is located on the northern border of France.
00:04:10.000 It also has a border with the Netherlands, and it has a border with Germany.
00:04:14.000 In the last couple of decades, it's been completely overrun, completely overrun with Muslim migrations.
00:04:19.000 They have major issues with Muslim migration in Belgium, to the point where anti-Semitic attacks have become increasingly popular, to the point where women who walk in the streets in nighttime have been in trouble.
00:04:31.000 Possibly victimized.
00:04:33.000 Well, today there are this bombing, which is terrible, is actually two separate bombings.
00:04:36.000 There were three guys who walked into the airport in Brussels and proceeded to blow themselves up.
00:04:41.000 At least one of them was a suicide bomber.
00:04:43.000 And then there was a second bombing of the local subway station.
00:04:47.000 That happened about an hour later.
00:04:49.000 So another one of these coordinated ISIS terror attacks.
00:04:51.000 And we've seen these happening for a while.
00:04:53.000 Al Qaeda's done them too.
00:04:54.000 These coordinated soft target terror attacks, we saw it in Mumbai when there were multiple targets attacked.
00:04:59.000 We've seen it in obviously France with regard to the Bataclan.
00:05:03.000 And then also we saw it with regard to they tried to attack the soccer stadium at the same time.
00:05:07.000 We've seen it with Charlie Hebdo, which is a multiple site attack.
00:05:10.000 And so this has become the increasingly common tactic of ISIS is to attack several targets at once inside one country.
00:05:17.000 And it's been made possible because, after all, the religion of peace is not, in fact, the religion of peace.
00:05:22.000 It just isn't.
00:05:23.000 The religion of peace, for all the talk about what a peaceful, wonderful religion it is, it ain't.
00:05:28.000 Here is what the raw footage looked like from the Brussels airport today.
00:05:33.000 It's OK.
00:05:33.000 It's OK.
00:05:35.000 It's OK.

00:05:52.000 It's OK.
00:05:52.000 It's OK.
00:05:52.000 It's OK.
00:05:53.000 It's OK.
00:05:53.000 It's OK.
00:05:53.000 It's OK.
00:05:53.000 It's OK.
00:05:54.000 It's OK.
00:05:54.000 It's OK.
00:05:54.000 It's OK.
00:05:55.000 It's OK.
00:05:55.000 It's OK.
00:05:55.000 It's OK.
00:05:55.000 It's OK.
00:05:55.000 It's OK.
00:05:56.000 It's OK.
00:05:56.000 It's OK.
00:05:56.000 At least three Americans have been wounded.
00:05:58.000 Three Mormon missionaries who happen to be in Brussels.
00:06:02.000 Will it happen much more time?
00:06:04.000 Pretty terrifying stuff, honestly.
00:06:06.000 And then the media led me to talk to a passenger from Sweden who happened to be there at the time.
00:06:13.000 Here's what the passenger from Sweden had to say about this.
00:06:16.000 We seem to be the last train that got out of Belgium.
00:06:19.000 How does it make you feel?
00:06:21.000 Well, fortunate on one hand, but we have to, unfortunately, we have to try and live with this.
00:06:27.000 It has become, we were living in a dream, I suppose, in some ways, that was abrupted, let's say, interrupted, and we have to deal with this more and more, I think, in the future, and we have to be prepared for these kind of things.
00:06:43.000 We were living in a dream, and that's about right, that's about right.
00:06:46.000 The Brussels police said a week ago they couldn't keep track of all the terror threats, there were too many.
00:06:51.000 They knew a week ago that they had increasing terror chatter.
00:06:53.000 They couldn't do anything about it because Brussels, again, has been overrun with a radical Islamic population.
00:06:59.000 And for all the people who are out there who are pretending that this has nothing to do with Islam, let me give you five quick ways you can tell if maybe your religion has a little bit of a terrorist problem.
00:07:08.000 If your religion has a little bit of a terrorist problem.
00:07:10.000 And Islam does have a terrorist problem.
00:07:11.000 You know, let's go back to President Obama and what he had to say, because this is basically the left's take.
00:07:17.000 Jeremy Boring and I, Jeremy's managing editor over at Daily Wire, we were talking this morning and he was saying that President Obama clearly sees terror attacks as just something that happens.
00:07:25.000 It's just a regular part of life, sort of like a pipe breaking in your house.
00:07:29.000 It's something bad, but nobody caused it, it just sort of happens.
00:07:32.000 You can see that all over President Obama's face.
00:07:34.000 He's mostly miffed that his grand Cuban triumph got interrupted by those pesky Islamic terrorists.
00:07:39.000 You'll notice one word missing from his little 52-second statement here.
00:07:43.000 52 seconds long.
00:07:43.000 There's one word that is conspicuously absent.
00:07:47.000 See if you can identify the word.
00:07:49.000 Here we go.
00:07:49.000 Before I begin, please indulge me.
00:07:53.000 I want to comment on the terrorist attacks that have taken place in Brussels.
00:07:59.000 The thoughts and the prayers of the American people are with the people of Belgium.
00:08:03.000 We stand in solidarity with them in condemning these outrageous attacks against innocent people.
00:08:10.000 We will do whatever is necessary to support our friend and ally, Belgium, in bringing to justice those who are responsible.
00:08:19.000 And this is yet another reminder that the world must unite.
00:08:24.000 We must be together, regardless of nationality,
00:08:30.000 Okay, and that's all he has?
00:08:37.000 And the rest of it is nonsense.
00:08:38.000 That one line is the key, right?
00:08:40.000 He throws out these normative lines.
00:08:42.000 Normative just means describing what should happen.
00:08:44.000 He throws off these normative lines, right?
00:08:47.000 Like the world must unite, we must be together.
00:08:49.000 How is that helpful in any way?
00:08:51.000 Are there a bunch of people out there who are thinking, oh, you know what, I was okay with the terrorist attacks, but now he said we have to unite.
00:08:56.000 I guess that changes everything, now that we have to unite.
00:08:58.000 Wow, I guess that really... And then when he says we have to be together regardless of faith, well, unfortunately, we're not.
00:09:05.000 There are some Muslims who oppose terrorism.
00:09:07.000 There are some good Muslims out there who oppose terrorism.
00:09:10.000 Unfortunately, Islam does have a tendency toward terrorism.
00:09:14.000 And I'm not talking about the Quranic scriptures.
00:09:16.000 I really don't care about those.
00:09:17.000 There are lots of people who get kind of tied down to what the Quran says.
00:09:20.000 I think the Bible says a lot of violent things too, and I'm not going to deny that.
00:09:23.000 As an Orthodox Jew, the Bible says violent things.
00:09:25.000 The question is, what do Muslims do?
00:09:28.000 What do they do now?
00:09:28.000 What do they believe now?
00:09:30.000 Now, what did Muhammad believe a thousand years ago?
00:09:32.000 Why is it that so many followers of Muhammad now still think it's okay to spread Sharia through force and violence and terrorism?
00:09:39.000 Why do they think that the actions of Muhammad a thousand years ago are fully in keeping with
00:09:44.000 Similar actions nowadays.
00:09:45.000 Why do they think that that's a good thing?
00:09:48.000 When President Obama says that ideology has nothing to do with this, and then he spouts lines about multiculturalism and diversity and Islamophobia, he's ignoring a basic truth.
00:09:56.000 And that basic truth is that Islam does have a problem of violent terrorism.
00:10:00.000 Obviously, obviously, and obviously.
00:10:03.000 And I'll give you five ways you can tell.
00:10:05.000 A couple are just off the top of your head, and a couple are statistical.
00:10:08.000 So here's off the top of your head.
00:10:09.000 Let's give you a quick test.
00:10:10.000 So, you just found out that a Western capital was bombed.
00:10:13.000 There was a suicide bomber, he walked into a populated area, and he set himself off killing scores of people.
00:10:18.000 He just walked in, blew himself up.
00:10:20.000 And you found out there's a second bomber who blew himself up in a separate place in order to kill scores of people.
00:10:26.000 Now, how surprised would you be if I said that person was a Jew?
00:10:28.000 Would you be kind of surprised?
00:10:30.000 Or a Buddhist?
00:10:30.000 Or a Christian?
00:10:31.000 You'd be a little surprised, wouldn't you?
00:10:33.000 Now, I said that person was a Muslim and was jabbering in Arabic just before.
00:10:36.000 Are you really surprised?
00:10:37.000 Would you be surprised?
00:10:38.000 If the answer is no, maybe this has something to do with Islam.
00:10:42.000 Maybe it has something to do with Islam.
00:10:44.000 Just off the top of my head.
00:10:46.000 Right?
00:10:46.000 I mean, just gut reaction.
00:10:48.000 Here's another one, okay?
00:10:49.000 You have a friend, and your friend is just getting out of prison, right?
00:10:52.000 For some reason, you have a friend.
00:10:52.000 Your friend has spent his whole life in trouble, and he's getting out of prison.
00:10:56.000 And as he comes out of prison, he says, you know what?
00:10:57.000 I've become a born-again Christian, and I want to travel to the Holy Land to visit the birthplace of Christ.
00:11:02.000 That's my new life.
00:11:03.000 I want to be a Christian.
00:11:04.000 Would you, A, be happier for your friend?
00:11:06.000 Think he's turning his life around?
00:11:08.000 Or, B, think he's probably fallen in with a bad crowd, and you should watch out?
00:11:11.000 Now, let's say that he gets out and he says, I'm a new member of the Nation of Islam, I've converted to Islam, and I want to travel to Saudi Arabia on the Hajj.
00:11:20.000 Which do you think?
00:11:21.000 That he's turned his life around?
00:11:22.000 Or maybe that there might be something to be concerned about?
00:11:25.000 Now, those two are kind of gut responses.
00:11:27.000 Those two tests are gut responses.
00:11:28.000 The surprise test and the friend test.
00:11:30.000 Those are gut responses.
00:11:31.000 And you could be a xenophobe.
00:11:33.000 You could be an Islamophobe.
00:11:34.000 You could be racist.
00:11:35.000 So, let's go to statistical tests.
00:11:36.000 How about the statistical probability test?
00:11:39.000 So, in 2015, there were 452.
00:11:43.000 452 suicide bombings all across the world.
00:11:45.000 452.
00:11:45.000 How many of them were actually perpetrated by Muslims?
00:11:49.000 Over the 452.
00:11:50.000 Any guesses at Lindsey?
00:11:51.000 How many do you think?
00:11:51.000 452.
00:11:51.000 How many?
00:11:56.000 450 is exactly on the mark.
00:11:57.000 450 out of the 452.
00:12:00.000 The other two were perpetrated by one, a Kurdish guy who probably was Muslim, and two, a woman in Turkey who probably was Muslim.
00:12:06.000 So probably is 452 out of 452.
00:12:09.000 But, let's just round down.
00:12:11.000 It's 450 out of 452.
00:12:13.000 So, if you thought you were crazy to think that maybe the guy who blew himself up in the airport was a Muslim, no, that's called being statistically correct.
00:12:19.000 Because 99.6% of the time in 2015, you would be exactly right.
00:12:24.000 Okay, but maybe you say, well, you know, so, okay, so all terrorists are Muslim, but not all Muslims are terrorists.
00:12:29.000 True, right?
00:12:29.000 Okay, so, you know, maybe it's just a very tiny subset within Islam that we ought to worry about.
00:12:34.000 It's just a very tiny number.
00:12:36.000 Well, if you believe that, I have a video that I cut.
00:12:38.000 You should go online, you should watch it right now.
00:12:40.000 A video that I cut, it's about four minutes long, in which I go through all of the statistics from various Muslim countries, how people feel about Sharia law, about suicide bombings, about terrorism.
00:12:49.000 Suffice it to say, a large minority of Muslims agree with the ideology undergirding
00:12:54.000 The terrorism that we saw in Brussels today.
00:12:57.000 It's nonsense that it's a tiny minority of Muslims.
00:13:00.000 By the way, even if it were 2% of Muslims, you're talking about worldwide 1 billion people.
00:13:05.000 So 2% of Muslims, what would 2% of 1 billion be?
00:13:09.000 2% of 1 billion would be approximately 20 million people?
00:13:13.000 Something in that area?
00:13:15.000 Massive number.
00:13:16.000 Okay, so, but let's say that even that doesn't convince you.
00:13:20.000 Finally, we get to the ideology.
00:13:21.000 Okay, the ideology of radical Islam itself, unfortunately, is cancerous and problematic, and it has made inroads in the West because the West has gone to sleep.
00:13:30.000 Because there are two problems with ideology here.
00:13:32.000 One is the ideology of Islam itself, of radical Islam, which is an increasingly large part of the Muslim world, springing from Pakistan and Afghanistan, and even in places that used to be more moderate, like Indonesia.
00:13:44.000 Saudi Arabia is generating radical Muslims.
00:13:46.000 Iraq.
00:13:47.000 There's a poll in Afghanistan recently that showed that 99% of people in Afghanistan believe in honor killings of women.
00:13:53.000 Honor killings?
00:13:54.000 So the idea that this is a minority contingent is ridiculous, and it does have something to do with the ideology.
00:14:01.000 But there are two ideological problems here.
00:14:02.000 One is the ideology of Islam, and the other is the ideology of the left.
00:14:06.000 So, Donald Trump responded to the bombings in Brussels, and he responded in a way that makes it clear that if we were one week before the election, if Donald Trump is the nominee and we're one week to the election, and there's bombing like this, Donald Trump is the President of the United States.
00:14:22.000 Not because Donald Trump knows what he's talking about, but because he only knows one thing, and the one thing that he knows is actually right.
00:14:27.000 So here is Donald Trump about what he would do in response to what just happened in Brussels.
00:14:33.000 I would close up our borders to people until we figure out what is going on.
00:14:37.000 Look at Brussels, look at Paris, look at so many cities that were great cities.
00:14:42.000 Paris is almost as bad.
00:14:45.000 If you look at, you know, Paris is no longer the beautiful city of lights.
00:14:49.000 Paris has got a lot of problems in it, and all you have to do is speak to the people that live there.
00:14:53.000 And you look at other places where the same thing has happened, and they're in fear.
00:14:57.000 The city's in fear.
00:14:59.000 And we have to be smart in the United States.
00:15:02.000 And when people come in, I mean, we're taking in, we're taking in people without real documentation.
00:15:08.000 We don't know where they're coming from.
00:15:10.000 We don't know what they're, what, you know, we don't know where they're from, who they are.
00:15:14.000 You look at them and look at it from any standpoint.
00:15:17.000 They could be ISIS.
00:15:18.000 They could be ISIS related.
00:15:20.000 And, you know, we just don't learn.
00:15:22.000 We don't learn.
00:15:22.000 I mean, Brussels is an amazing example.
00:15:25.000 Brussels was an absolutely crime-free city.
00:15:28.000 One of the most beautiful cities in the world.
00:15:31.000 And now you look at it, it's a disaster.
00:15:33.000 Okay, and Donald Trump is 100% right.
00:15:36.000 No caveats.
00:15:37.000 He is 100% right.
00:15:38.000 Everything he said there is exactly correct.
00:15:40.000 Right?
00:15:41.000 Donald Trump hits the nail right on the head.
00:15:43.000 And I'll talk about, you know, he says there that he would close the borders to Muslims, presumably on a semi-permanent basis.
00:15:49.000 Now, I don't agree with that.
00:15:51.000 I think that you ought to give higher scrutiny when you're checking Muslims out.
00:15:54.000 But, you know, there are certain Muslims you let in, right?
00:15:55.000 If you have a Muslim serving in the U.S.
00:15:57.000 military, then you let them in, obviously, if they have no ties to terrorism.
00:16:01.000 If you have Muslims who are westernized, like Ayaan Hirsi Ali was a Muslim, she's no longer a Muslim, you let her in.
00:16:06.000 But you have to give higher scrutiny because obviously the chances of a Muslim being a terrorist are significantly higher than the chances of a Christian being a terrorist.
00:16:14.000 100% true.
00:16:15.000 Okay, so we'll get back to that in just one second.
00:16:17.000 First, we have to take a quick profit timeout with our buddies over at Reagan.com.
00:16:21.000 So...
00:16:22.000 Let's say that you're on Gmail, for example, and you're concerned that corporations are going to target your email to market to you or that the government is going to look for a backdoor to get a hold of your emails and the content of your emails.
00:16:32.000 You need to go to ReaganPrivacy.com.
00:16:34.000 ReaganPrivacy.com.
00:16:36.000 When you do, you get an email address.
00:16:38.000 Your name at Reagan.com.
00:16:40.000 So Ben Shapiro at Reagan.com.
00:16:41.000 That's cool for a couple of reasons.
00:16:43.000 The first is that obviously, for all your lefty friends, you get to smack them in the head every time you send an email because it says Reagan at the end of your email address, which is super cool.
00:16:51.000 But second, Reagan.com, they vow and they ensure that they won't copy or scan or sell a single word of your email content.
00:16:59.000 It's private.
00:16:59.000 It remains private.
00:17:00.000 They'll protect it from the government.
00:17:01.000 They'll protect it from the corporations.
00:17:03.000 They'll protect it from everybody.
00:17:04.000 So ReaganPrivacy.com is where you go.
00:17:07.000 And if you go right now, you get two free months, which is a pretty solid deal.
00:17:10.000 Reagan.com and to access it, ReaganPrivacy.
00:17:13.000 Okay, so Donald Trump is exactly right about everything that he just said.
00:17:18.000 Islam is a worldwide terror threat.
00:17:20.000 Radical Islam is a significant subsection of Islam.
00:17:23.000 If we can't be sure about the people we're bringing in, we ought not bring in anybody.
00:17:27.000 It better be safe than sorry.
00:17:29.000 You've seen what happened to Europe when the multiculturalism of Europe dominates the Western civilization ideology that used to dominate Europe.
00:17:36.000 Europe is collapsing from within, and they're committing slow-motion suicide.
00:17:41.000 Donald Trump continues along these lines.
00:17:42.000 He said he's on all the morning shows this morning.
00:17:44.000 He called into all of them.
00:17:45.000 By the way, quick note, everybody's getting on Trump's case and the media's case for allowing him to do Collins.
00:17:50.000 Who cares?
00:17:50.000 Why does he have to be on camera?
00:17:52.000 That's such a stupid critique of Trump.
00:17:53.000 There are many good critiques of Trump, and I'll give you one in just a second, but that's a bad critique of Trump.
00:17:59.000 Here is Trump again being correct about Brussels and the situation in Brussels.
00:18:04.000 I think it's absolutely horrible.
00:18:05.000 You're talking to a great man, Waleed.
00:18:08.000 He knows this stuff better than just about anybody I can think of.
00:18:12.000 And you have the right man.
00:18:15.000 And I will tell you, I've been talking about this for a long time.
00:18:18.000 And look at Brussels.
00:18:19.000 Brussels was a beautiful city, a beautiful place with zero crime.
00:18:24.000 And now it's a disaster city.
00:18:26.000 It's a total disaster.
00:18:27.000 Mr. Trump.
00:18:29.000 We have to be very careful in the United States.
00:18:32.000 We have to be very, very vigilant as to who we allow into this country.
00:18:37.000 Okay, and of course he's exactly right there.
00:18:39.000 And then he continues and he says, listen, if we have to waterboard people to get information to stop this sort of thing, we'll waterboard people.
00:18:45.000 Here's Trump.
00:18:47.000 Because the laws are so liberal over there, they won't do that.
00:18:50.000 But they should be able to do whatever they have to do to get him to give the information.
00:18:55.000 And the very sad thing is, he was being guarded and protected by people that were a few doors away from where he lived.
00:19:02.000 And they were protecting him and they were guarding him.
00:19:05.000 And it was lucky they were able to find him.
00:19:07.000 And he was planning another attack.
00:19:09.000 But they didn't find him because people turned him in.
00:19:11.000 Those people were guarding him and protecting him.
00:19:14.000 That's not supposed to be the way the system works.
00:19:16.000 When you say do whatever they have to do, can you be specific?
00:19:19.000 I mean, what do you mean by that?
00:19:21.000 Well, I'm not looking for breaking news on your show, but frankly, the waterboarding, if it was up to me, and if we change the laws, or have the laws, waterboarding would be fine, and if they want to do as long as it's with, because, you know, we work within laws.
00:19:37.000 They don't work within laws.
00:19:38.000 They have no laws.
00:19:39.000 We work within laws.
00:19:41.000 The waterboarding would be fine, and if they could expand the laws, I would do a lot more than waterboarding.
00:19:46.000 You have to get the information from these people, and we have to be smart, be tough,
00:19:51.000 And we can't be soft and weak, which is what we are right now.
00:19:55.000 When I say we, I'm talking about other countries also.
00:19:57.000 If you talk to experts who do these interrogations, you often find a division.
00:20:01.000 Some people think that kind of harsh interrogation technique works and will deliver you the information, and others say it doesn't work, you'll get false information.
00:20:09.000 Are you in the camp that harsh interrogation
00:20:13.000 Let's use the word.
00:20:14.000 Torture works in a case like this?
00:20:16.000 Yes, I am.
00:20:17.000 I am in that camp.
00:20:18.000 I don't believe the other people.
00:20:19.000 I am in that camp.
00:20:20.000 Absolutely.
00:20:21.000 They'll give him, they'll read him.
00:20:22.000 Trump is exactly right here.
00:20:23.000 Trump is Trump.
00:20:24.000 Again, Trump is the id of American politics.
00:20:27.000 He says what's on everybody's animalistic brain, right?
00:20:30.000 Our immediate response to this is, shut the borders.
00:20:33.000 Enough is enough.
00:20:34.000 Torture who you have to torture to stop this crap.
00:20:36.000 These people are evil.
00:20:37.000 You do what you have to do to stop them.
00:20:39.000 Right?
00:20:39.000 And all of that is right.
00:20:40.000 All of that is right.
00:20:40.000 And this is why, and we'll show you what Hillary Clinton also responded.
00:20:43.000 Here is Hillary Clinton's response by way of contrast on the Today Show this morning.
00:20:48.000 We've got to tighten our security.
00:20:50.000 I've talked about our visa system and our passenger name record system.
00:20:54.000 When I was Secretary of State, we often had some difficulties with our European friends because they were reluctant to
00:21:04.000 All right.
00:21:34.000 In coordination with the Europeans on tracking and following anyone who has any connection with terrorist activity or terrorism.
00:21:46.000 Because as she says right there, we can't shut the borders.
00:21:49.000 It's not a good idea to shut the borders.
00:21:51.000 Again, this is why I say, if we're one week to an election and something like this happens, Trump wins the election.
00:21:56.000 Because that is disquieting rhetoric from Hillary Clinton.
00:21:58.000 It's not comforting.
00:21:59.000 So, here's the question.
00:22:01.000 I obviously have been a major critic of Donald Trump.
00:22:03.000 I mean, I have been for literally months.
00:22:04.000 If you've been under a rock for the last several months and missed every other episode of The Ben Shapiro Show,
00:22:10.000 Suffice it to say, I've been highly critical of Trump.
00:22:12.000 Here, I'm saying Trump is exactly right.
00:22:14.000 100% right.
00:22:15.000 Not 98% right, 100% right on the things that he is saying here.
00:22:19.000 So, why wouldn't I trust him with America's national security?
00:22:23.000 And the answer is this, because here's the reality of American politics.
00:22:29.000 You can get the premises right and still get the conclusions wrong.
00:22:32.000 The problem with the left is that they get the premises wrong, and so they get the conclusions wrong.
00:22:35.000 Trump gets the premise right and gets the conclusion wrong.
00:22:37.000 So he gets the... Let's say you're a doctor.
00:22:40.000 Right?
00:22:41.000 And the doctor is trying to diagnose what's wrong with you.
00:22:43.000 One doctor says, everything is totally cool, there's nothing wrong with you, it's all in your head.
00:22:47.000 The other doctor says, it's cancer.
00:22:48.000 And he's right, it turns out to be cancer.
00:22:50.000 But then that second doctor says, you know what my treatment is?
00:22:53.000 My treatment is basically the same as the first doctor, leave it alone, don't do anything.
00:22:57.000 You would probably look for a third option, wouldn't you?
00:22:59.000 You'd probably figure neither of these doctors is particularly great.
00:23:02.000 One's better than another, sure, but that doesn't mean that I'm gonna choose either one of these doctors.
00:23:06.000 Trump gets the diagnosis right, and then he gets the actual measure wrong.
00:23:11.000 So he's okay when it comes to stricter, heightened scrutiny at the borders.
00:23:15.000 That he's right on, on this particular topic.
00:23:17.000 But, on every other topic, he's wrong and he's incoherent.
00:23:21.000 So Hillary doesn't even get to the first part, right?
00:23:22.000 She misdiagnoses the disease.
00:23:24.000 She won't even say it's radical Islam.
00:23:25.000 Hillary Clinton is the lady who writes things like, Islam is our friend.
00:23:29.000 Muslims are wonderful people.
00:23:30.000 Everything is cool.
00:23:31.000 I mean, she actually tweeted that fairly recently.
00:23:33.000 She tweeted, quote, let's be clear.
00:23:34.000 Islam is not our adversary.
00:23:36.000 Muslims are peaceful, intolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.
00:23:40.000 Right?
00:23:40.000 So Hillary gets it completely wrong.
00:23:42.000 Trump gets it right.
00:23:43.000 And then he gets it wrong.
00:23:45.000 So here's the problem.
00:23:45.000 Okay.
00:23:46.000 So here is what Donald Trump was.
00:23:47.000 He was asked about ISIS.
00:23:48.000 He did an interview.
00:23:50.000 With the Washington Post.
00:23:51.000 And here's what he had to say about ISIS.
00:23:54.000 He was asked specifically by one of the reporters at the Washington Post, quote,
00:24:13.000 Trump said, I don't want to use, I don't want to start the process of nuclear.
00:24:17.000 Remember, the one thing that everybody has said, I'm a counter puncher.
00:24:20.000 Rubio hit me, Bush hit me.
00:24:21.000 When I said low energy, he's a low energy individual.
00:24:25.000 He hit me first.
00:24:26.000 I spent, by the way, he spent $18 million worth of negative ads on me.
00:24:31.000 That's pudding.
00:24:31.000 And then the interviewer interrupts and says, this is about ISIS.
00:24:34.000 You would not use a tactical nuclear weapons against ISIS?
00:24:36.000 And Trump says, I'll tell you one thing, this is a very good looking group of people here.
00:24:40.000 Could I just go around so I know who the hell I'm talking to?
00:24:44.000 This is not reassuring.
00:24:46.000 This is the guy who I'm supposed to trust with his finger on the nuclear button.
00:24:49.000 And then he was asked, what would you do to defeat ISIS militarily?
00:24:52.000 He was asked, could I ask you about ISIS?
00:24:54.000 Speaking of making commitments, because you talked recently about possibly sending 20 or 30,000 troops.
00:25:00.000 Trump said, no, I didn't.
00:25:01.000 Oh, no, no, no.
00:25:02.000 Okay, I know what you're saying.
00:25:03.000 There was a question asked to me.
00:25:05.000 I said that the military, the generals, have said that 20,000 to 30,000.
00:25:07.000 They said, would you send troops?
00:25:10.000 I didn't say send 20,000.
00:25:11.000 I said, well, the generals are saying you'd need, because they, what would it take to wipe out ISIS?
00:25:15.000 I said pretty much exactly this.
00:25:17.000 I said, the generals, the military is saying you would need 20,000 to 30,000 troops, but I didn't say that I would send them.
00:25:23.000 The reporter says, if they said that, would you go along with that and send the troops?
00:25:26.000 Trump says, I find it hard to go along with.
00:25:28.000 I mention that as an example because it's so much.
00:25:30.000 That's why I brought it up.
00:25:31.000 But a couple of people have said the same thing as you, where they said, did I say that, and I said that, that's a number, and that I heard would be needed.
00:25:37.000 I would find it very, very hard to send that many troops to take care of it.
00:25:40.000 I would say this, I would put tremendous pressure on other countries that are over there to use their troops, and I'd give them tremendous air supporters and support, because we have to get rid of ISIS.
00:25:48.000 Okay, just so.
00:25:49.000 We have to get rid of ISIS.
00:25:51.000 I would get other countries to become very much involved.
00:25:54.000 I'm not even sure that's in English.
00:25:56.000 This is Donald Trump's position, right?
00:25:58.000 Or positions, or no positions, or whatever you want to call that.
00:26:02.000 In that same interview with the Washington Post, he said that he would curtail America's involvement with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, that's NATO.
00:26:08.000 He said, quote,
00:26:15.000 Belgium is a NATO country.
00:26:17.000 If Belgium decided to declare war tomorrow on ISIS, we would be obligated by our NATO treaty to defend our European allies.
00:26:23.000 And by the way, NATO is what protects Eastern Europe from the Russians.
00:26:27.000 If we were to disband NATO, they'd all be on their own.
00:26:30.000 Trump also said, by the way Ted Cruz hit back at that, Cruz said it's striking the day after Trump called for America weakening NATO, withdrawing from NATO, we see Brussels where NATO is headquartered, the subject of a radical Islamic attack.
00:26:42.000 Trump is wrong, America should withdraw from the world and abandon our allies.
00:26:45.000 Trump is wrong, America should retreat from Europe, retreat from NATO, hand Putin a major victory, and while he's at it, hand ISIS a major victory.
00:26:52.000 In that same interview at the Washington Post, Trump said that he wanted to abandon our involvement with South Korea.
00:26:57.000 This is even as North Korea develops what they're calling fully nuclear weaponry.
00:27:01.000 He said in the past he won't take moral sides between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
00:27:05.000 Let's not forget, by the way, you know, as anti-Islam as he sounds, as anti-radical Islam as Trump sounds now, when Pamela Gellar hosted a contest to draw Muhammad in Texas just a few months back, and it was attacked by radical Muslims, Trump said Pamela Gellar was insufficiently cautious.
00:27:19.000 She shouldn't have done it in the first place.
00:27:20.000 It was too offensive.
00:27:21.000 So Trump's all over the place.
00:27:23.000 So, every so often, the hammer hits the nail on the head.
00:27:26.000 That doesn't mean the hammer has it right.
00:27:28.000 It just means that he's got the diagnosis right, and he's got his actual measures wrong.
00:27:32.000 The one who does have it right, of course, is Ted Cruz, who, as I've said many times before, is the guy that I support in this primary.
00:27:37.000 Here's Ted Cruz in his response to what happened in Brussels.
00:27:42.000 It is long past time that we had a president who will acknowledge this evil,
00:27:51.000 We'll call it by its name and utilize the full force and fury of the United States to defeat radical Islamic terrorism, to defeat ISIS.
00:28:04.000 And he's exactly right.
00:28:05.000 Okay, so meanwhile, while the Republicans are trying to fight ISIS and Hillary Clinton is cowering under a rock somewhere, as she's wont to do, President Obama's over in Cuba.
00:28:15.000 And as I said before, there are two ideologies that are causing these sorts of terrorist attacks in Brussels.
00:28:20.000 One is the philosophy of ISIS, Islam and radical Islam, and the second is the left.
00:28:26.000 The left has been normalizing evil for literally generations, and Obama was at it again down in Cuba.
00:28:32.000 Right now, as we speak, he's at a Cuban baseball game where he is sitting next to Raul Castro, the dictator of Cuba, who has been imprisoning dissidents while Obama is there.
00:28:41.000 And Obama's not just going to the ballgame, he's there doing the wave.
00:28:45.000 Seriously, I have pictures of him doing the wave.
00:28:46.000 Yesterday, we showed a picture on the program.
00:28:49.000 Of President Obama standing in front of a mural of Che Guevara.
00:28:53.000 I don't know if we still have the ability to grab yesterday's graphics.
00:28:56.000 If we do, it'd be awesome if we could grab that so that people could see what that looks like.
00:29:00.000 But President Obama was in fact, you know, he did in fact stand, he posed for it.
00:29:05.000 I mean, he's standing there and if there is one image of President Obama that should stick with you the rest of his life, it is probably that image of him standing
00:29:14.000 President Castro, I think, has pointed out that
00:29:39.000 In his view, making sure that everybody is getting a decent education or health care, has basic security and old age, that those things are human rights as well.
00:29:52.000 I personally would not disagree with that.
00:29:55.000 But it doesn't detract from some of these other concerns.
00:29:59.000 And the goal of the Human Rights Dialogue is not for the United States to dictate to Cuba how they should govern themselves, but to
00:30:09.000 Make sure that we are having a frank and candid conversation around this issue, and hopefully that we can learn from each other.
00:30:21.000 It does not mean that it has to be the only issue we talk about.
00:30:26.000 Economics, health, scientific changes
00:30:31.000 International cooperation on issues of regional as well as global import are also important.
00:30:53.000 But basically saying, there's that picture from yesterday we were talking about, here's President Obama standing in front of that mural of Che Guevara, the sculpture of Che Guevara.
00:31:02.000 Che Guevara, the terrorist, communist, racist, by the way, deeply racist guy, hated black people, thought black people were super stupid and terrible at everything.
00:31:09.000 Really, you can find quotes from him.
00:31:11.000 By the way, correction to yesterday's program, I mentioned the movie about him, it's not The Bicycle Thief, of course, that's a famous Italian film, it's called The Motorcycle Diaries.
00:31:18.000 But President Obama standing in front of that mural,
00:31:20.000 President Obama believes that America is the root of all evil.
00:31:23.000 So, when Raul Castro critiques the head of this communist country, and look at this picture for a second, not just the mural, look at the building behind the mural for a second.
00:31:31.000 You see the mural, and then behind the mural you see this building.
00:31:34.000 It's a garbage heap, okay?
00:31:35.000 All of Cuba has turned into a garbage heap.
00:31:37.000 People are still driving around rickety old cars from the 1950s because it's such a garbage heap.
00:31:43.000 And Cuba is critiquing us for being unequal, unfair, income inequality, and all the rest of it.
00:31:48.000 And President Obama says, that's great.
00:31:49.000 Totally hear you.
00:31:50.000 I'm on your side.
00:31:51.000 You're totally right.
00:31:52.000 All of that is true.
00:31:54.000 In other words, America is wrong.
00:31:56.000 Cuba is right.
00:31:58.000 And yes, they violate human rights, but that's just one of many areas where we're going to have to talk.
00:32:03.000 President Obama, by the way, in his efforts not to give offense to his Cuban hosts who are using him as a pure propaganda mill, here's what President Obama said yesterday about Cuban political prisoners.
00:32:13.000 He was asked straight out, are you going to ask the Cubans to release political prisoners?
00:32:17.000 Here was President Obama's response.
00:32:19.000 Well, the truth of the matter is we've given them lists in the past and they have responded intermittently to our
00:32:29.000 We're good to go.
00:32:45.000 Okay, so we've done it in the past, but we're not going to do it now.
00:32:47.000 Not during the most prominent visit by an American politician to Cuba in the history of both countries.
00:32:54.000 No, we're not going to do it now.
00:32:55.000 I mean, maybe we'll do it later or something, but we wouldn't want to get all ticklish about it.
00:32:58.000 We wouldn't want to tick off our communist dictator friends and allies.
00:33:02.000 President Obama, then to conclude yesterday's session, I mean, this is just humiliating.
00:33:07.000 Here's Raul Castro with President Obama as clip 11.
00:33:10.000 This is what it looked like yesterday with President Obama and Raul Castro after they finished their joint press conference.
00:33:16.000 Our limp-wristed president being held up by Raul Castro.
00:33:19.000 Raul Castro grabs his hand, and for people who can't see it, President Obama does the full limp-wristed routine.
00:33:24.000 I mean, he just goes dead like a fish from the wrist on up.
00:33:27.000 He's already dead from the neck on up.
00:33:29.000 I mean, clearly, morally, he is anyway.
00:33:31.000 And here is the President of the United States, humiliated by the tinpot despot of a tiny, powerless island nation.
00:33:40.000 Because that's who Obama is.
00:33:42.000 He believes America ought to be humiliated.
00:33:44.000 And he will be humiliated for your sins.
00:33:47.000 But don't worry, he's not really humiliating himself.
00:33:49.000 He's humiliating you.
00:33:51.000 He's not humiliated.
00:33:52.000 He goes there in glory and peace.
00:33:54.000 So today, President Obama spoke in Havana, and after that 52-second interlude where he briefly discussed terrorism without mentioning the word Islam once, then President Obama got to the heart of his speech.
00:34:05.000 He talked about really what he intends to do in Cuba.
00:34:08.000 Why is he even there?
00:34:09.000 Here we go.
00:34:10.000 Because in many ways, the United States and Cuba are like two brothers who've been estranged for many years, even as we share the same blood.
00:34:21.000 We've been estranged for many years, like we share the same blood.
00:34:25.000 What blood is that?
00:34:25.000 He went on to say that Cuba had slaves and was founded as a slave state.
00:34:30.000 So basically, we're all impoverished people of the world.
00:34:33.000 He's doing a solidarity routine with the Cuban people based on the victimization by the West.
00:34:38.000 That was what he went on to do.
00:34:39.000 He went to say the West has victimized Cuba and the West has victimized me because I'm a black guy and minorities in America are victimized.
00:34:46.000 That's essentially what he went on to do.
00:34:47.000 By the way, we're not.
00:34:49.000 We're not estranged brothers.
00:34:51.000 We're not estranged from the people who actually want freedom there.
00:34:57.000 They're just our brothers.
00:34:58.000 Anybody who wants freedom is our brother.
00:34:59.000 Anybody who estranges us because they want to cram down their version of totalitarian tyranny on somebody, those aren't our brothers, those are our enemies.
00:35:07.000 The people who have been estranging us, that would be the Cuban dictatorship.
00:35:11.000 But President Obama didn't just say that.
00:35:13.000 He said, the Cold War's over.
00:35:14.000 I've declared it.
00:35:15.000 I declare it.
00:35:15.000 I don't know if you've ever seen The Office.
00:35:17.000 There's a scene from The Office where Michael Scott, right, who's the head of The Office, he's the idiot manager of The Office, and he's played by Steve Carell, thank you.
00:35:27.000 And Steve Carell, he doesn't understand how bankruptcy works.
00:35:30.000 He's very much in debt, and he doesn't understand how bankruptcy works.
00:35:33.000 And so someone tells him he has to declare bankruptcy because he has too much debt.
00:35:37.000 So he literally walks into the middle of the office and raises his hand and just goes, I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY!
00:35:43.000 That's President Obama with the Cold War here.
00:35:45.000 Here's President Obama declaring the Cold War over unilaterally.
00:35:50.000 I have come here to bury the last remnant of the Cold War in the Americas.
00:35:59.000 I've come here to bury the last vestige of Cold War in the Americas.
00:36:02.000 Okay, first of all, you don't get to bury anything.
00:36:05.000 That's still a communist nation imprisoning people, you jackass.
00:36:09.000 There are people who are still- while you're doing the wave, people are trying to ride the wave from Havana to Florida in inflatable tires.
00:36:15.000 While you're there at a baseball game, there are people who are too weak to toss a ball against a wall for entertainment in Cuban jails because they happen to agree with the United States Constitution as opposed to the sort of tyranny that you agree with President Obama.
00:36:29.000 You say they have equality, their health care.
00:36:30.000 You know he went on to praise Obamacare in Cuba, say we're moving more toward the equality that you see in Cuba.
00:36:36.000 And this is gross, it's humiliation, but he's a humiliating president.
00:36:39.000 And it's this deep desire, this hatred for the West that Obama shares with our enemies that unites them and allows him to let in anybody, anybody.
00:36:47.000 We're not gonna test based on ideology because our ideology is too corrupt to have an ideological test.
00:36:53.000 Our ideology is too gross for us to throw stones in glass houses.
00:36:58.000 We're too racist.
00:36:59.000 We're too terrible.
00:37:00.000 We can't look at radical Muslims trying to enter the country and say, no, you can't come in.
00:37:06.000 That would be terrible.
00:37:06.000 That'd be Islamophobic.
00:37:08.000 And that's what undergirds this whole thing.
00:37:09.000 We're too ashamed of who we are to protect ourselves.
00:37:13.000 So instead, what we'll do is we'll just side with the enemies, whether it's the Cubans or whether it is radical Islam.
00:37:18.000 And make no mistake, the multicultural routine where folks on the left in Europe and in the United States say, yeah, let them all in.
00:37:25.000 This has nothing to do with Islam.
00:37:27.000 All that really is is a tremendous amount of self-hatred.
00:37:30.000 But in the end, just like every depressed person I've ever known, unfortunately, depression breeds self-centeredness.
00:37:37.000 If you've ever met anybody who's depressed, people who are depressed are fully self-centered.
00:37:41.000 All they think about is themselves all the time.
00:37:42.000 It's not their fault because it's a clinical issue.
00:37:44.000 But when you have the American left and the international left, they're depressed because they're part of the West.
00:37:50.000 But they're depressed in that they're self-centered.
00:37:52.000 And the way that they separate is they say, well, we're not them.
00:37:55.000 We're not the West.
00:37:56.000 We can separate enough to realize the flaws of the West.
00:37:59.000 So come on in and help us change things.
00:38:02.000 It's really dangerous and it gets people killed in a very serious way.
00:38:06.000 So, you know, very serious stuff.
00:38:07.000 Okay.
00:38:08.000 Meanwhile, Bill Clinton is, I think, I think Bill Clinton has basically had it with this campaign.
00:38:13.000 I think Bill Clinton is saying enough is enough.
00:38:14.000 You know, I've had it.
00:38:15.000 I can't deal with it anymore.
00:38:17.000 I don't know what happened to Bill Clinton.
00:38:18.000 I don't know if his prostate finally gave out and so all purpose in life was lost for him.
00:38:22.000 It's definitely a possibility.
00:38:23.000 And the minute his prostate gave out, he said, screw it.
00:38:26.000 I'm saying whatever I please.
00:38:27.000 And so here was President Clinton yesterday going directly after President Obama.
00:38:31.000 Pretty funny.
00:38:32.000 Now, if you don't believe we can all grow together again, if you don't believe we're ever going to grow again, if you believe it's more important to re-litigate the past, there may be many reasons that you don't want to support.
00:38:49.000 But if you believe we can all rise together, if you believe we've finally come to the point where we can put the awful
00:38:56.000 And in his own words, there are two possibilities here.
00:39:26.000 Clinton actually meant to slap at the Obama administration.
00:39:29.000 The other is he's reusing his 2008 stump speech in favor of Hillary Clinton and scrolling through lesbian pornography in his mind.
00:39:36.000 I'm gonna go with B. I don't think that he purposely meant to slap Obama, although he slapped him pretty hard across the head right there.
00:39:41.000 The awful legacy of the last eight years.
00:39:43.000 The reason I say that he didn't mean to do it is because he then proceeds to give two paragraphs on why Bush was terrible.
00:39:49.000 He doesn't say anything about the past eight years.
00:39:50.000 He says the past eight years and then the seven years before that and then he realizes his error and he continues along those lines, right?
00:39:57.000 He says because his wife was a member of that administration.
00:39:59.000 But the left is tearing itself apart because they don't believe in Americanism.
00:40:04.000 And Americanism is not Donald Trump's America first, last, and always.
00:40:09.000 Americanism is the idea of the founding philosophy living on.
00:40:13.000 That the idea of a small government, individual rights, individual responsibility society still lives.
00:40:19.000 Now patriotism just for the sake of you were born here doesn't mean anything to me.
00:40:22.000 Patriotism for the sake of the ideology of the founding means everything.
00:40:26.000 Are you in favor of extending Obamacare to undocumented immigrants?
00:40:28.000 There are two steps here.
00:40:29.000 If someone can afford
00:40:50.000 To pay for an insurance policy off the exchanges that were set up under the Affordable Care Act.
00:40:56.000 I support that.
00:40:57.000 Even if they're undocumented?
00:40:58.000 Yes.
00:40:59.000 If they can afford it, they should be able to go into the marketplace and buy it.
00:41:04.000 But it is not going to apply to people who are in need of subsidies in order to afford that because the subsidies question has to be worked out in comprehensive immigration reform.
00:41:19.000 Okay, so she's moving ever further to the left, right?
00:41:21.000 Let's open the borders because there's no such thing as Americanism and then let's destroy Americanism in order to make government pay for all these people who are coming across the borders.
00:41:29.000 All of this is part of a broader leftist agenda to destroy small government
00:41:33.000 Individual rights and individual responsibility because all of these things are deeply racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic, imperialistic.
00:41:40.000 The left despises Americanism.
00:41:42.000 You can see it from Obama in Cuba, you can see it from the international left in Europe, and you can see it dripping from Hillary Clinton when she talks about how we ought to be paying for the health care.
00:41:51.000 When she's talking about, by the way, Obamacare being extended to undocumented immigrants, she's talking about Medicaid.
00:41:57.000 Medicaid is a federal program that's free, basically.
00:41:59.000 So we're supposed to pay for everybody who comes across the border illegally, and somehow this is not going to bankrupt us.
00:42:05.000 Just awesome.
00:42:06.000 How bad is the left?
00:42:06.000 They've come to the point where Bernie Sanders, a legit contender at one point for the Democratic nomination, he's openly allied with the Castros.
00:42:14.000 I mean, here's Bernie Sanders being asked about the fact that he was tight with the Cubans for years and years and years and years.
00:42:21.000 Let's not get into red baiting here.
00:42:22.000 Here is the truth.
00:42:24.000 Everybody knows it.
00:42:38.000 Cuba is a very poor country.
00:42:41.000 Its economy is in very bad shape.
00:42:44.000 It is an authoritarian society.
00:42:46.000 Do I support their economic policies or their political policies?
00:42:50.000 Of course I don't.
00:42:51.000 But you know what else?
00:42:53.000 Cuba produces a lot of physicians in this country.
00:42:56.000 And you know where they go?
00:42:57.000 They go to poor countries around the world doing a lot of good.
00:43:01.000 I wish we had physicians in this country.
00:43:03.000 The number of physicians that we need to go to poor countries around the world.
00:43:08.000 By and large, Cuba's educational system for a poor country is pretty good.
00:43:13.000 When Castro came to power, they did a lot to eliminate illiteracy in that country.
00:43:19.000 So yes, you know, you don't have to praise everything about Fidel Castro.
00:43:23.000 It's a dictatorship.
00:43:24.000 It's a poor economy.
00:43:26.000 We want changes.
00:43:27.000 But have some good things been done in Cuba?
00:43:29.000 Yes.
00:43:30.000 Should the United States go around overthrowing governments we don't like?
00:43:34.000 I don't think so.
00:43:35.000 Okay, so it's not red-baiting, by the way, if you side with everything Cuba says and then say you don't.
00:43:40.000 Bernie Sanders, by the way, for all those people who believe that Bernie Sanders isn't anti-Israel, he is.
00:43:44.000 He said yesterday that we can't just take Israel's side.
00:43:47.000 Israel does bad things.
00:43:48.000 The reason the left hates Israel is the same reason they hate America.
00:43:51.000 They think Westernism in all of its various forms across the earth is a terrible, awful, horrible thing.
00:43:56.000 Here's Bernie Sanders basically saying that.
00:43:58.000 And this is everything, okay?
00:43:59.000 I think this is important.
00:44:00.000 The same people who are trying to carve off Israel from the rest of the world when it comes to the conflict with radical Islam are the same people undermining Israel and undermining the West.
00:44:10.000 Israel has been fighting Hamas and ISIS for literally years and they've been fighting Palestinian terrorism for decades.
00:44:15.000 It's all the same thing.
00:44:17.000 Israel is an outpost of the West in one of the worst regions on planet Earth, and the Left wishes to carve off Israel for the same reason that they wish to divest from the United States.
00:44:25.000 In fact, here in the University of California system, there is a student body vote to divest from Israel at the same time they voted to divest from the United States.
00:44:34.000 I don't even know how that would work.
00:44:35.000 Would they have to now float above the ground seven feet?
00:44:37.000 I mean, I don't know what the air rights look like at UCLA, but that's what the left is.
00:44:41.000 The left despises the West, and so they are willing to commit suicide on behalf of principles that suggest that Western ideology is no better than any other ideology.
00:44:49.000 Here's Bernie Sanders making that case against Israel.
00:44:51.000 In this clip, replace Israel with America, and you will understand everything there is to understand about the left when it comes to foreign policy.
00:44:58.000 If we are going to go forward, it cannot be that the United States just side of Israel.
00:45:03.000 We've got to work with both communities to try to do what is very, very difficult, and that is create a lasting peace in the region.
00:45:11.000 Do you think the U.S.
00:45:11.000 has not been even handed up till now?
00:45:13.000 Right, I do not think so.
00:45:15.000 I think that overwhelmingly the United States time and time again has looked aside when Israel has done some bad things.
00:45:24.000 Okay, so again, Replace Israel with America, you understand where they're coming from.
00:45:28.000 Okay, time for some things I like and then some things that I don't like.
00:45:31.000 Okay, things that I like.
00:45:32.000 I thought this was appropriate, so this week we're gonna do some good speeches from film.
00:45:36.000 Yesterday, we did A Man for All Seasons and Paul Scofield.
00:45:39.000 Today, it's Samuel L. Jackson in a film that really should have gotten more attention.
00:45:43.000 It's a really good film.
00:45:44.000 Have you ever seen Rules of Engagement?
00:45:45.000 Anybody here ever seen Rules of Engagement?
00:45:47.000 It should have been a bigger film.
00:45:49.000 Easily one of the most right-wing films in the history of American cinema.
00:45:53.000 The basic premise is that a bunch of American Marines go overseas to what is essentially Libya.
00:46:00.000 And they go there and they're supposed to remove an American ambassador.
00:46:03.000 It looks like Benghazi.
00:46:04.000 They go there to remove an American ambassador because the embassy comes under fire from radical Muslims.
00:46:11.000 While they're up there, there are shots being fired at them from the crowd according to the military people who are on the roof, and they end up opening fire on the crowd and killing like 85 people, 100 people, including men, women, and children.
00:46:23.000 And the military guys, they say, well, the reason we did this is because there were guns in the crowd.
00:46:28.000 There were people on the ground who were shooting at us.
00:46:30.000 There were people who were not only using children as cover, but there were people who were actually
00:46:35.000 And this is one of the gutsiest films of all time.
00:46:38.000 It actually shows children in the crowd firing at American soldiers.
00:46:40.000 Pretty amazing.
00:46:41.000 Here is the pivotal speech from Samuel L. Jackson, who's prosecuted for war crimes over this.
00:46:46.000 And Guy Pearce plays the prosecutor.
00:46:48.000 Here we go.
00:46:50.000 This is Exhibit Q, a tape recording made aboard the USS Wake Island of all radio communications received that day, including your exact words.
00:46:58.000 Your Honor, with your permission, I would like to play this tape.
00:47:00.000 Well, if you got it on tape, then that's what I said.
00:47:03.000 They were killing my Marines, so yeah, I said it.
00:47:06.000 Waste the mother- Are these the mother- Objection.
00:47:11.000 Overruled.
00:47:11.000 Yes.
00:47:13.000 These?
00:47:14.000 Objection.
00:47:14.000 Yes.
00:47:16.000 These?
00:47:17.000 Objection.
00:47:17.000 Overruled.
00:47:18.000 Yes.
00:47:20.000 Are these the motherfuckers that you wanted to be wasted?
00:47:22.000 Your Honor.
00:47:23.000 Major.
00:47:23.000 Yes!
00:47:24.000 Your Honor.
00:47:25.000 The crowd in front of the embassy had no weapons, did they, Colonel?
00:47:28.000 Objection.
00:47:29.000 We found no snipers' weapons either.
00:47:30.000 Yes, they had weapons!
00:47:32.000 You think there's a script for fighting a war without pissing somebody off?
00:47:35.000 Follow the rules and nobody gets hurt?
00:47:38.000 Yes, innocent people probably died.
00:47:40.000 Innocent people always die.
00:47:42.000 But I did not exceed my order!
00:47:44.000 There are rules, and Marines are sworn to uphold them.
00:47:47.000 I was not going to stand by and see another Marine die just to live by those rules!
00:47:55.000 Colonel!
00:47:58.000 Okay, and that's sort of the idea here.
00:48:01.000 And this is why, by the way, Trump is succeeding.
00:48:02.000 Because he's basically saying exactly what Samuel L. Jackson is saying there.
00:48:06.000 And that's also what the West should be saying.
00:48:08.000 Not that every rule is out of bounds.
00:48:10.000 I mean, Samuel L. Jackson isn't saying you just go randomly slaughter civilians or innocents.
00:48:14.000 What he's saying is...
00:48:15.000 That you do what you have to do to preserve and defend Western civilization.
00:48:20.000 And we don't have enough of that, unfortunately.
00:48:22.000 The fact is that you do have to do ugly things in war.
00:48:25.000 You do have to religiously profile.
00:48:28.000 You do have to waterboard.
00:48:30.000 You do have to...
00:48:31.000 Take shots at bad guys, even though you know civilians might be in the way sometimes.
00:48:36.000 These are all risk calculations, and these are moral calculations you have to make.
00:48:40.000 But to pretend that those choices don't exist, or that there's anything like the clean morality of multiculturalism, where you just let everybody in and it doesn't undermine you or endanger you.
00:48:50.000 That's silliness.
00:48:51.000 Okay, another thing that I like, it's been a pro-Trump day, I'll say.
00:48:54.000 So here is Elizabeth Warren, who I've met, I've talked about this before.
00:48:59.000 She's now a senator from Massachusetts.
00:49:01.000 It's amazing how many prominent politicians you meet when you're just a student at Harvard Law.
00:49:04.000 She was a professor, a torts professor, actually she was a property professor, I think, at Harvard Law when I was there.
00:49:10.000 I met her for the first time at the top of the W Hotel in Los Angeles when she was trying to recruit me to the school, and she suggested that Rush Limbaugh was terrible and awful, and I asked her if she'd ever listened to him, and she said no.
00:49:22.000 And I said, I'm sure you haven't, which is why you're saying all those things.
00:49:25.000 Elizabeth Warren slammed Donald Trump, and she said that he's a bigot and a loudmouth and all these things, and here was Donald Trump's response, and it's pretty classic.
00:49:33.000 Elizabeth Warren today on social media went after you, calling you a loser.
00:49:37.000 How are you going to- Who's that, the Indian?
00:49:38.000 You mean the Indian?
00:49:40.000 Are you prepared to deal with that kind of sustained attack from both sides?
00:49:44.000 Look, it's very simple.
00:49:46.000 I have more votes than anybody.
00:49:48.000 And if you take away the fact that I had 17 people, we had 17 people that I was going against, and add some of that back, you know, Hillary essentially had one.
00:49:57.000 Okay, we can stop it there.
00:49:58.000 The best part of that-
00:49:59.000 Response, excuse me, is the Indian, right?
00:50:01.000 He's referring to the fact that Elizabeth Warren has spent her entire career claiming Native American heritage without any evidence of that whatsoever.
00:50:09.000 People call her Focahontas, and that's exactly right.
00:50:12.000 She actually used as proof that she was Native American an entry in a cookbook, I'm not making this up, called Pow Wow Chow.
00:50:19.000 That was the name of the cookbook.
00:50:21.000 And her recipe from that cookbook that she submitted was a recipe for crab bisque.
00:50:26.000 Okay, because she's from Oklahoma, right?
00:50:29.000 The crabs of the Western Plains.
00:50:31.000 She actually got the recipe from something like Harper's Magazine, and she cut it out and re-pitched it as a Native American recipe for pow wow chow.
00:50:39.000 No evidence she's a Native American whatsoever, but that's Trump.
00:50:42.000 And this is why people think Trump will do pretty well against Hillary, because he's willing to hit her with the kitchen sink.
00:50:47.000 It's my favorite thing about Trump.
00:50:50.000 My least favorite thing about Trump is in Stuff I Hate.
00:50:53.000 He has no self-control whatsoever.
00:50:55.000 So here is Trump, for no reason, just going off on Megyn Kelly.
00:50:58.000 Bizarrely on CNN.
00:51:00.000 This is his new obsession.
00:51:02.000 If you read about Trump, he had a deep and abiding obsession with Princess Diana.
00:51:05.000 Like a creepy, weird obsession with Princess Diana.
00:51:07.000 He would send her flowers.
00:51:09.000 She thought he was a huge creeper.
00:51:10.000 Well, apparently Donald Trump has something similar going on with Megyn Kelly.
00:51:15.000 And again, if Donald Trump had one ounce of discipline, and any sort of ideological center,
00:51:20.000 I'd be fine voting for him.
00:51:21.000 He has neither of those two things.
00:51:22.000 Here's Donald Trump going after Megyn Kelly, host on Fox News.
00:51:26.000 She's got the obsession.
00:51:28.000 She's the one that puts me on her show every night.
00:51:30.000 Look at her show.
00:51:31.000 Look at the airtime I get on her show.
00:51:33.000 And I don't do her show.
00:51:35.000 She wants me to do it so badly.
00:51:37.000 Roger Ailes wants me to do her show so badly.
00:51:39.000 They want to have a primetime special on Fox Network where Megyn Kelly interviews me.
00:51:44.000 I say, what's in it for me?
00:51:45.000 What do I get out of that?
00:51:46.000 You're going to get great ratings.
00:51:47.000 What do I get out of it?
00:51:49.000 They want a primetime special.
00:51:50.000 I said, no, I won't do it.
00:51:51.000 So don't tell me about obsession.
00:51:53.000 She should do somebody else.
00:51:55.000 And I'm telling you, if she didn't do me, watch what happens to her.
00:51:58.000 Watch.
00:51:59.000 Now, in the meantime, she's benefited greatly.
00:52:01.000 She's hotter now than ever before because of me.
00:52:03.000 She should give me at least half of her salary.
00:52:06.000 It's ridiculous.
00:52:08.000 She should give him half her salary.
00:52:10.000 At some point, she'll shout, Trumpelstiltskin, and he'll just vanish into the earth.
00:52:15.000 Just silliness from Donald Trump, among the things I hate.
00:52:17.000 Here's another thing that I hate.
00:52:18.000 There's this cartoon that's going around, and every time there's a major terrorist attack, the press decides that it's time to really do the necessary things and draw pictures.
00:52:28.000 And talk about how brave they are.
00:52:29.000 So here's a picture of what looks like the French flag hugging the Belgian flag.
00:52:34.000 And it says the 13th of November, that would be the attacks at the Bataclan.
00:52:39.000 And then the 22nd of March, and that would be the attacks that happened today in Brussels.
00:52:44.000 And this is setting the internet ablaze.
00:52:45.000 If you look at any of these various kind of hot stuff websites, they're all showing this cartoon because this is the cartoon that just shows everything.
00:52:52.000 Yes, I'm sure this is really putting a scare into ISIS, between hashtagging and this kind of cartoon.
00:52:58.000 I remember after the Charlie Hebdo, everybody kept saying, Je suis Charlie Hebdo, right?
00:53:04.000 And then they were saying, Je suis Bataclan, and Je suis Paris, and all the rest of it.
00:53:09.000 These things accomplish nothing.
00:53:10.000 The only thing that will accomplish anything is if you dump your stupid multicultural philosophy and get back behind Western civilization to the point that you're willing to bomb the living hell out of the people who did this and put them in the ground.
00:53:21.000 Because it turns out the guy who straps a bomb to his chest and intends to blow himself up in a public area, the only way to stop him is to take his head off of his shoulders before he's in a public area.
00:53:31.000 That's the only way to stop him.
00:53:33.000 So I'm getting kind of tired of these particular things.
00:53:35.000 Okay, final thing that I dislike for today.
00:53:37.000 I don't know if you've seen this video.
00:53:38.000 It really is quite terrible.
00:53:40.000 Apparently, there's this little girl.
00:53:42.000 She's, I think she's a six-year-old girl, is the story.
00:53:45.000 Thank you.
00:54:06.000 Are a certain percentage of a certain race because we have to preserve Native American culture.
00:54:11.000 And let's be frank about Native American culture.
00:54:14.000 I'm sure there are wonderful things about Native American culture.
00:54:16.000 Being on the reservation is not one of them.
00:54:18.000 People on reservations are disproportionately poor, undereducated, and die young.
00:54:22.000 That's just the way it is.
00:54:23.000 And it's really sad and it's really terrible.
00:54:25.000 And the best thing that can happen for most people of Native American descent is to get off the reservation and integrate into American society where they can become prosperous and
00:54:34.000 Have a decent lifestyle.
00:54:36.000 Unfortunately, that's not what happens.
00:54:38.000 Instead, they maintain this idea that if you are even a tiny percentage Native American, you have to go home.
00:54:44.000 So this girl's name is Lexi, and her parents are Summer and Rusty Page of Santa Clarita.
00:54:49.000 They're foster parents.
00:54:50.000 They've been fighting to keep Lexi in her home.
00:54:52.000 The Indian Child Welfare Act led authorities to seize the child.
00:54:54.000 Apparently, she has 1.5% Choctaw.
00:54:58.000 is the idea.
00:54:59.000 1.5% shock talk.
00:55:01.000 Here's the video of the authorities coming to remove a child from her home to give her to people who don't even know her because she happens to have Native American blood.
00:55:22.000 I love you, Lexi!
00:55:24.000 I love you, Lexi!
00:55:26.000 I love you, Lexi!
00:55:27.000 I love you, Lexi!
00:55:49.000 Okay, and what they're showing for people who can't see is the father carried her to the car where the authorities stuffed her in the car.
00:55:56.000 The mother comes out with a bunch of the other foster kids who are all yelling for her because they want her to come back.
00:56:00.000 She's not coming back because the federal government in this situation is evil.
00:56:04.000 Okay, it's evil to value race and racial blood over the welfare of the child.
00:56:09.000 Just disgusting.
00:56:10.000 Just disgusting.
00:56:13.000 The fact of the matter is the kid has nothing to do with this and for you to remove the kid from the parents that she knows and I mean I can't even imagine this to a child I can't even imagine being taken away from the only parents that I know and sent to some stranger to live on a reservation presumably because I have one great great great grandparent who was
00:56:34.000 In a Native American, it's just, it's horrifying.
00:56:36.000 It really is horrifying.
00:56:37.000 The family released a statement.
00:56:38.000 They said,
00:56:59.000 The federal government is a garbage heap, a flaming garbage heap of evil to do this sort of thing.
00:57:04.000 And if we allow the federal government to continue to do things like this, to use the power of the government gun in order to enforce evil laws like race above the welfare of the child,
00:57:16.000 This is what we're going to get.
00:57:17.000 This is the tyranny that we deserve.
00:57:20.000 And it's, of course, celebrated by the left because, hey, racial diversity, right?
00:57:23.000 The same racial diversity that the left is celebrating with every breath.
00:57:26.000 The same multiculturalism the left is celebrating with every breath in Brussels and Cuba is now coming to Southern California.
00:57:32.000 It's coming right here.
00:57:33.000 It's coming home.
00:57:34.000 It has real life consequences for real people, and it ruins very real lives if it doesn't end those lives as it did in Brussels today.
00:57:41.000 We're going to have to keep fighting, folks.
00:57:43.000 We're going to have to keep fighting because the left does not sleep.
00:57:46.000 They do not surrender, except to the world's most evil people.
00:57:49.000 We're going to have to teach the left to surrender to people who actually believe in an American philosophy of freedom, liberty, small government, individual responsibility, and decency.
00:57:58.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:57:58.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.
