00:00:00.000 The New York Times has a shocking report today about Ilhan Omar.
00:00:03.000 It turns out that under Barack Obama, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security investigated her almost certain fraudulent marriage to her gay brother.
00:00:13.000 That case stalled chiefly because prosecutors concluded the potential crime of felony fell outside a five year statute of limitations, according to the current and former officials, most of whose law enforcement careers span several presidential administrations.
00:00:27.000 In August of 2016, according to the Times, a local news station reported the U.S. Attorney's Office in Minnesota had opened an investigation into Ilhan Omar.
00:00:35.000 That prompted the campaign to form a crisis management committee, according to a lawyer who represented Omar in a 2018 deposition.
00:00:43.000 A means to quash it came in October and in August of 2016 when the campaign released a letter it had requested from Andrew Luger, then U.S. Attorney in Minnesota.
00:00:52.000 In the three sentence letter, Luger wrote My office is not investigating, nor have we requested an investigation into Ms. Omar.
00:00:58.000 But in an interview last week, Luger said the letter was never meant to say anything about the substance of the claims.
00:01:04.000 Instead, it was narrowly written to rebut the news station's report Luger had asked ICE to investigate Ms. Omar, which he called erroneous.
00:01:13.000 After the letter became public, local news coverage waned.
00:01:16.000 So basically, this U.S. attorney killed the news coverage of what very obviously seemed to have happened, which is that she fake married her gay brother to get him into the country, and then it failed.
00:01:29.000 By the way, last week, Barack Obama called a raid on her immigration status appalling.
00:01:35.000 Quote, it is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can't selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say.
00:01:42.000 But that's exactly what the Trump administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
00:01:48.000 This is so appalling, he said.
00:01:50.000 It was his administration who literally was looking into whether she married her brother, which apparently she did.
00:01:59.000 And by the way, the New York Post is reporting that her actual Muslim husband was quite upset with her brother.
00:02:04.000 Her brother came and lived with them, he wasn't upset that she was married to her brother.
00:02:10.000 He was upset that her brother was gay and living with them.
00:02:12.000 Quote, Ilhan Omar's first husband was embarrassed when her effeminate brother, who she is accused of marrying, came to live with them in Minnesota, a family friend told the Post.
00:02:20.000 The Congresswoman had two young children with Ahmed Hersey when she suddenly split from him in 2009.
00:02:24.000 She then quickly married an extremely feminine Somali guy from London, Ahmed Noor Saeed Elmi, fond of wearing short shorts with cowboy boots.
00:02:32.000 One of Hersey's close friends claimed Omar and her first husband were actually still together, and Elmi suddenly moving in caused strain on their relationship.
00:02:39.000 The whole community was gossiping about Elmi when he first arrived, said the source.
00:02:42.000 He was walking around in tight female clothing, which is heavily frowned upon in the Somali community.
00:02:46.000 So I went to ask Ahmed about it.
00:02:48.000 He told me it was his wife's brother from London and that Ilhan had, quote, embarrassed all of us by bringing him here.
00:02:53.000 Ahmed used very strong words and said it was disgusting. 0.98
00:02:55.000 So, you know, the immigration fraud, that was one thing, but the brother being flamboyantly gay in the Somali community, that was the thing. 0.97
00:03:04.000 By the way, Ilhan Omar, she has no leg to stand on here. 0.91
00:03:08.000 This is the same lady who has repeatedly called.
00:03:10.000 For Donald Trump to be prosecuted, like over and over and over again.
00:03:15.000 All on March 30th, 2023, when Mar a Lago was raided.
00:03:19.000 Our democracy rests on the rule of law.
00:03:21.000 When someone, no matter how powerful they are, is suspected of a criminal act, our justice system investigates, charges, and convicts them in accordance with due process.
00:03:27.000 Yes, that is true.
00:03:29.000 Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, was on Fox News with Jesse Waters, and he talked about the possibility of prosecuting Ilhan Omar.
00:03:39.000 When the New York Times says that you maybe married your brother and you're a Democrat, maybe you married your brother.
00:03:44.000 Yeah.
00:03:45.000 I mean, look, what we've tried to do in this case, and people always ask me, you know, what's going to happen?
00:03:50.000 What's the result?
00:03:51.000 And I say, I honestly don't know.
00:03:53.000 Because in the Trump administration, we don't prejudge.
00:03:55.000 We let the facts and the law drive these decisions.
00:03:58.000 But if you look at some of the people that we've gotten prosecutions of, I think you do see evidence that finally an American government is taking the corruption seriously.
00:04:08.000 And a lot of the public servants who have betrayed the public trust, they're being investigated.
00:04:12.000 Some of them are being prosecuted.
00:04:13.000 And some of them are going to spend time in jail because if you violate the public trust, that's what you should do.
00:04:20.000 Well, when you're looking to take care of your family, you need to do responsible things.
00:04:23.000 One of those things is obtaining life insurance.
00:04:25.000 The reality is that, God forbid, something happens to you.

00:05:14.000 Head over to policygenius.com slash Shapiro.
00:05:16.000 Again, it's policygenius.com slash Shapiro.
00:05:20.000 But remember, all of your betters, all the 18 year olds with selfie sticks who are now 45 and on late night TV, they say you're racist if you care about any of this.
00:05:29.000 That was Jimmy Kimmel's play yesterday with Regarding, say, the opposition to Abdul El Sayed, a clear Muslim Brotherhood fellow traveler.
00:05:38.000 Remember when racism was supposed to be a secret? 0.73
00:05:42.000 Like they'd whisper this stuff in their foursome on the golf course to each other while they were looking around like this?
00:05:47.000 Now it's your grandpa's Facebook page live on stage every day.
00:05:52.000 They keep saying El Sayed is part of the Muslim Brotherhood.
00:05:56.000 This guy was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and played high school lacrosse.
00:06:02.000 He played lacrosse, football, and hockey, the three whitest sports there are.
00:06:06.000 Oh my God, what is he hiding in those goalie pads?
00:06:11.000 Oh, it's all just fake because, you know, he played hockey. 0.69
00:06:15.000 Sure, his dad and his mom and pretty much everybody associated with him is a Muslim Brotherhood fellow traveler.
00:06:20.000 And sure, he agrees with basically all the principles of the Muslim Brotherhood, but it must be racism, obviously. 0.98
00:06:25.000 Again, this is the game. 0.92
00:06:27.000 I have a question Is any of that designed to make Walt Z's life better?
00:06:31.000 Any of that?
00:06:32.000 Barack Obama, meanwhile, is in Georgia.
00:06:34.000 Saying that he's worried about high health care premiums.
00:06:36.000 Well, if only he had been president and then rammed through a thing called actual Obamacare, which was designed to bring down those premiums, and he failed.
00:06:46.000 We need to rein in the cost of child care so those same young families can afford it.
00:06:52.000 We've got to make sure that nobody has to worry about high health care premiums.
00:06:58.000 We have a lot of work to do.
00:07:01.000 And I understand people's frustrations.
00:07:03.000 Look, I get the anger, I get the cynicism.
00:07:08.000 Because the system's not working the way it's supposed to.
00:07:12.000 Partly because of gerrymandering.
00:07:15.000 Partly because of laws like Citizens United that allow rich and powerful people to try and buy and sell elections like never before.
00:07:27.000 Hundreds of millions of dollars just pouring into elections.
00:07:32.000 Partly because we've got a Republican Party now that it used to stand.
00:07:38.000 For smaller government and now seems to stand for corrupt government or inept government.
00:07:46.000 Okay, so I'm just wondering.
00:07:48.000 You opposed the Republican Party when it stood for small government.
00:07:52.000 You opposed it ardently.
00:07:52.000 You and Paul Ryan were like enemies.
00:07:55.000 It's pretty incredible.
00:07:55.000 Just remember we have two proposals on the table.
00:07:58.000 One is big government, and that results in, you know, never doing anything useful.
00:08:02.000 California, the high speed rail chief, has now quit, according to the New York Times, amid criticism following a recent state report that found the agency had misused roughly 600 grand to pay for the travel of outside consultants.
00:08:16.000 Crews have so far broken ground on one 119 mile section of the roughly 500 miles of planned rail.
00:08:23.000 When the system was originally approved, it was projected to cost $33 billion and be completed by 2020.
00:08:28.000 We checked a calendar, it is no longer 2020.
00:08:30.000 It is 2026.
00:08:32.000 The latest estimates have pushed the opening date to 2040 and the cost to a range between $126 billion and $231 billion.
00:08:41.000 Okay, so again, there are two approaches to the problems of Aldi.
00:08:46.000 One is high regulation, high taxation, high government interventionism, and the other is free markets and private property.
00:08:51.000 You know, the thing that made Red Baron a big company and allowed it to hire many people like Walt Z and make him employee of the month.
00:08:59.000 That is a better approach.
00:09:00.000 What an amazing video you just watched.
00:09:02.000 Wasn't that amazing?
