00:01:37.000 Alrighty, so.
00:01:39.000 Jesus Millier!
00:01:41.000 May ends up in jail.
00:01:42.000 When I say May, that's because he has not been sentenced yet.
00:01:45.000 He faces up to 20 years in prison because he was convicted on five of the six counts brought against him.
00:01:49.000 According to the New York Times, a jury in Chicago found the actor, Jussie Smollett, guilty on Thursday of falsely reporting to the police he had been the victim of a racist and homophobic assault in 2019.
00:01:59.000 An attack, investigators concluded, was a hoax directed by the actor himself.
00:02:03.000 With its finding, after more than nine hours of deliberation, the 12-person jury indicated it had chosen to believe the accounts of two brothers who testified that Mr. Smollett had asked them to mildly injure him as part of a publicity stunt.
00:02:15.000 I love that the New York Times has to phrase it this way.
00:02:17.000 The jury chose to believe that there was no evidence for any other account.
00:02:23.000 Like, Jussie Smollett literally had no plausible account of anything that happened other than what actually was the truth.
00:02:30.000 It wasn't just that the defense had no defense.
00:02:33.000 It was that the defense's attempts at a defense were so laughably bad that there was no possible way for a rational human being to come to any other conclusion I mean, it's sad that they're going to be sharing a cell, but it's kind of the best thing that ever happened in the history of mankind.
00:02:46.000 in a country, I think Jussie Smollett should be very glad to live in a country where his attacker is going to prison.
00:02:50.000 I mean, it's sad that they're going to be sharing a cell, but it's kind of the best thing that ever happened in the history of mankind.
00:02:59.000 According to the New York Times, Mr. Smollett, wearing a dark gray suit and a blue shirt, sat upright in his chair, hands clasped, staring directly at the jury just after the verdict Daniel Webb, the special prosecutor who handled the case, said afterward, Smollett only made matters worse by continuing to stand by his account at trial.
00:03:15.000 Though that, of course, is...
00:03:17.000 is very, very, very true.
00:03:18.000 Okay, so in a second, we're going to go through the entire history of the Justice Millier saga because it is so illuminating about what America's media life is right now, how the elites view the rest of the country, the massive disconnect between this little bubble of people who will believe any narrative that casts America in an evil, racist light, an actual reality, where people like Justice Millier in American society, celebrities who are double minorities
00:03:45.000 because he's gay and black, they're not treated as outcasts in American society.
00:03:50.000 Far from it!
00:03:51.000 And the fact is that Justice Millier was believed and cherished and treated as a victim because there are elites in our society who believe that everyone like Justice Millier is a victim and therefore should receive special benefit, should receive special treatment.
00:04:04.000 And the reality, again, is very different when it comes to crime stories from what the media would have you believe.
00:04:10.000 Wilford Riley, who's a college professor who writes for a commentary magazine, sometimes really, really great.
00:04:15.000 Wilford Riley is a black commentator on race and crime.
00:04:19.000 He says, you know, the media tried to say that the Jussie Smollett incident, as originally narrated by Jussie Smollett, was indicative of broader trends in American public life.
00:04:28.000 He tweets out this morning, but there are real Jussie Smollett's, uh, bruh.
00:04:32.000 Violence, interracial crime involving blacks and whites is about 3% of all serious crime.
00:04:36.000 And of that 3%, about 80% is black on white.
00:04:40.000 Yep.
00:04:41.000 But that's not the narrative that the media are attempting to propagate.
00:04:44.000 And so, Juicy Sommelier became a national news story with everyone just, we have to believe them.
00:04:48.000 Even though it was the least plausible story ever.
00:04:52.000 It was a super non-plausible story.
00:04:52.000 Okay?
00:04:56.000 It was as plausible as the story that Michael Jackson had naturally sired children, right?
00:05:01.000 There are stories that just aren't plausible.
00:05:03.000 And you can look at them, and you can see right from the outset that they're not plausible.
00:05:06.000 And maybe you'll hold back.
00:05:06.000 Maybe you'll say, okay, I'm not going to jump on this one.
00:05:08.000 I'm just going to wait and see what evidence emerges.
00:05:10.000 But our entire media infrastructure, our entire political infrastructure, went into overdrive to try and use the Sommelier incident as the tip of the evil American iceberg.
00:05:21.000 And even now, the media are trying to buy this back.
00:05:23.000 It's hysterical.
00:05:24.000 Even now, the media are trying to say, well, conservatives, this doesn't mean that your case is helped.
00:05:29.000 Great piece today from Jahan Jones over at MSNBC, titled, What Conservatives Should Realize Before They Relish the Justice Millier Verdict.
00:05:37.000 Oh, tell me.
00:05:38.000 Tell me, sir.
00:05:40.000 I wait with bated breath.
00:05:42.000 The actor, Jussie Smollett, has been found guilty of lying to police in 2019 when he claimed he was the victim of a racist homophobic attack in Chicago, bringing to a close one of the more bizarre high-profile celebrity cases in recent memory, says this columnist for MSNBC.
00:05:55.000 Smollett told police in 2019 he had been assaulted by two masked white men who shouted pro-Trump slogans, poured a bleach-like substance on him, tied a rope around his neck.
00:06:03.000 But two brothers, Abimbola and Olabingo Ucindero, testified that Smollett asked them to stage the attack.
00:06:11.000 Abimbola Osindaro, who said he was friends with Smollett at the time, accused the actor of orchestrating the incident to draw media attention to actual hate mail he received in 2019.
00:06:18.000 By the way, I have doubts about the actual hate mail in 2019, given the fact that JusticeMillier made it a massive issue.
00:06:25.000 Why aren't people paying attention to this hate mail that I received that basically looks like I signed it?
00:06:29.000 Olabinjo Asundera told prosecutors Smollett had this crazy idea of getting attacked by two Trump supporters so he could post it on social media.
00:06:35.000 Smollett held throughout the trial the incident was not a hoax.
00:06:37.000 Nonetheless, the strange, seemingly ever-changing details in the case have provided nearly three years worth of material for comedians and online commentators.
00:06:44.000 Some of it has been quite funny, in fact, says this columnist for MSNBC.
00:06:47.000 Even more comical, in my view, was the predictable conservative outrage over Smollett's allegation.
00:06:52.000 Conservatives took to social media in 2019 to express outrage over the dropped charges.
00:06:57.000 How dare someone make such a heinous claim about followers of their dear leader they screeched?
00:07:00.000 Violent masked white guys who shout Trump slogans and use chemical agents to attack victims?
00:07:04.000 Many on the right shamed those of us who knew such a claim was totally plausible.
00:07:08.000 And then the January 6th insurrection happened.
00:07:11.000 Yes, this is their defense.
00:07:13.000 Do everything is January 6th.
00:07:15.000 Or, alternatively, you are so unbelievably full of crap Okay, that is the alternative.
00:07:20.000 The alternative is you guys are unbelievably full of crap.
00:07:22.000 There's no defense to the fact that you fell for this because it was ridiculous from the outset.
00:07:27.000 Oliver Darcy over at Brian Stelter's newsletter on CNN is also trying to play the game where conservatives are wrong for chortling over the outcome of this verdict.
00:07:36.000 He says that it's really bad because this means that conservatives are going to use this in order to attack media credibility.
00:07:43.000 Guys?
00:07:44.000 You don't need any help.
00:07:45.000 You've destroyed your own credibility.
00:07:46.000 You are Thelma and Louise over that cliff, in that caddy, flying.
00:07:51.000 Okay, you don't need our help for gravity to apply.
00:07:53.000 Gravity just applies to you.
00:07:55.000 You were stupid enough to buy all of this.
00:07:58.000 Brian Stelter went on air and portrayed this as fact.
00:08:01.000 And now you guys are upset because conservatives are pointing out that you have no credibility and you guys are a mockery?
00:08:07.000 Okay, so, it's time to go back in time, just a little bit, to the original Jussie Smillier story.
00:08:14.000 So you'll remember that Jussie Smillier was an actor on a show called Empire.
00:08:18.000 Empire, of course, is a show that is largely watched by black Americans.
00:08:22.000 Not a lot of racist whites watching Empire.
00:08:25.000 That's just not a thing.
00:08:27.000 So, Jussie Smollett was staying in Chicago, and he told CNN, okay, this is the way CNN reported this story, January 16th, 2020.
00:08:36.000 Empire actor Jussie Smollett was attacked in the early morning hours on Tuesday, in what Chicago police are calling a possible hate crime.
00:08:44.000 Smollett was attacked by two people who were yelling out racial and homophobic slurs and poured an unknown chemical substance on the victim, police said.
00:08:51.000 One of Smollett's alleged attackers also put a rope around his neck, according to police.
00:08:54.000 Both fled the scene.
00:08:56.000 Smollett took himself to Northwestern Hospital and is in good condition, authorities said.
00:09:01.000 As of Tuesday evening, a Chicago police spokesperson told CNN that investigators canvassed the neighborhood.
00:09:06.000 where the reported attack occurred and have found no still images or video from security cameras of the incident. The only image of Smollett police obtained from security cameras was inside a subway sandwich shop near the location of the reported crime. The actor was seen standing alone.
00:09:19.000 Chicago police detectives continue to investigate the serious allegations according to the PD spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi. And this is the original report.
00:09:28.000 Guglielmi said detective teams would broaden their search work around the clock to look for video on traffic cameras, buses and neighboring streets.
00:09:37.000 Okay, so the way that that you see juicy Smollett narrated this crime, it was 2 a.m.
00:09:42.000 in Chicago, in the middle of a polar vortex.
00:09:45.000 It was like zero degrees outside.
00:09:48.000 And Jussie was hungry for a Subway sandwich.
00:09:51.000 So first of all, this is an implausible story.
00:09:54.000 I don't know a single human being exists on planet Earth who has ever gotten up in the middle of the night at 2 a.m.
00:09:58.000 in a polar vortex to go to Subway.
00:10:00.000 That is really not credible.
00:10:01.000 First of all, no slur on Subway, but they had a kosher Subway in L.A.
00:10:05.000 for a little while.
00:10:06.000 It's not good.
00:10:07.000 It's certainly not the kind of food that drives you out at 2 a.m.
00:10:09.000 in a polar vortex.
00:10:11.000 But the sandwich will come back into the story momentarily.
00:10:14.000 So, Juicy goes down to Subway.
00:10:17.000 Happily munching on his sandwich as he walks the streets of Chicago.
00:10:20.000 And we're talking about, like, kind of the Tony area of Chicago.
00:10:23.000 Yeah, this is like the bluest area of the blue areas of Chicago.
00:10:27.000 He's walking the streets, 2 a.m., when suddenly, out of nowhere, he's attacked by two red-hatted, presumably MAGA-hatted, white, white men.
00:10:39.000 And they shout at him that he is a F-word, N-word.
00:10:44.000 F-word for gay person, N-word for black person.
00:10:47.000 From Empire.
00:10:48.000 So apparently, we have found the only true Trump supporters on planet Earth.
00:10:52.000 This is the original story that was, as you'll see, deemed unbelievably credible by everyone.
00:10:58.000 These are the only two Trump supporters who have ever seen Empire or heard of Empire, as it turns out.
00:11:03.000 And they're huge Empire fans, except they really hate that there's a black gay guy in a show that's entirely about black people.
00:11:09.000 So, they start yelling slurs.
00:11:13.000 And then, one of them takes a clothesline and wraps it around Juicy's neck.
00:11:18.000 And he begins to fight them.
00:11:19.000 He begins to fight them.
00:11:20.000 And then another one of them takes a bottle of a bleach-like substance and starts pouring it all over Juicy.
00:11:25.000 Nobody knows why.
00:11:27.000 Doesn't even make any internal sense, this story.
00:11:29.000 And finally, Juicy fights his way free.
00:11:32.000 And heroically, never loses the sandwich.
00:11:37.000 Heroically, when he emerges, there's tape now.
00:11:39.000 We found tape.
00:11:41.000 When he emerges from underneath the area where he is being attacked by these mad guy-headed, by Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon.
00:11:50.000 After this happens, Jussie emerges with his Subway sandwich clutched.
00:11:54.000 So first of all, I just gotta say, Subway is missing an unbelievable branding opportunity.
00:11:58.000 Because if you are Subway, this guy loves Subway sandwiches so much that he is willing to not only fake a racial attack, But hold on to the sandwich during the racial attack, undermining his entire case, and eventually landing himself in prison, because he loves Subway that much.
00:12:12.000 Forget Jared.
00:12:14.000 I mean, you probably should forget Jared.
00:12:15.000 It turns out that that got awkward.
00:12:16.000 But, Juicy, as a substitution for Jared, pretty solid stuff.
00:12:21.000 Okay, fine.
00:12:22.000 So then Juicy goes home.
00:12:24.000 And he calls the cops.
00:12:26.000 And the cops show up.
00:12:27.000 And when they arrive, Juicy is still wearing the clothesline around his neck.
00:12:31.000 Which is an odd fashion choice.
00:12:33.000 And the police are like, can we have your phone, sir, so we can see your location?
00:12:37.000 And he's like, no.
00:12:39.000 Well, that's suspicious.
00:12:42.000 He's like, no, you can't see my phone.
00:12:45.000 Of course, because he'd been texting the two guys that he actually, you know, hired.
00:12:50.000 And by the way, Jussi is such an idiot.
00:12:53.000 And when Jussi hired people to commit a crime against him, he did it by check.
00:12:57.000 To commit a federal crime, he signed a... To commit a federal hate crime, he signed a check to make that happen for himself, which is just the best.
00:13:09.000 It's just the best.
00:13:09.000 Okay, so, in a second, we're going to get to Jussie Smollett's treatment by the media.
00:13:14.000 We're gonna get to Jussie Smollett, what he told everybody at the time, because it is spectacular and wonderful and just great.

00:14:34.000 The deals are not gonna last forever.
00:14:35.000 Call right now.
00:14:36.000 Okay, so.
00:14:38.000 The actual minute-by-minute narrative we'll get to in a month.
00:14:41.000 But first, you have to hear Juicy's account in his own words.
00:14:45.000 So first of all, It does raise the question as to who the casting director was in Hollywood who thought that Jussie Smollett should ever have been cast in anything.
00:14:53.000 Because he's an actor.
00:14:55.000 And one thing that you're supposed to be able to do as an actor is act.
00:15:00.000 I thought that was actually implicit in the name actor.
00:15:02.000 But it turns out that Jussie is not only... First of all, never let actors write their own lines.
00:15:07.000 It's always a mistake.
00:15:09.000 Whenever an actor is like, I think this line is bad.
00:15:11.000 I'm rewriting it.
00:15:13.000 And when you let the actor write the plot, It's a rare actor who can pull that off.
00:15:18.000 You see, it was not that guy.
00:15:20.000 So he wrote a really bad plot with really bad dialogue, and then he reenacted it in front of all of us.
00:15:25.000 He went on Good Morning America with Robin Roberts, and he was asked about his message to the gay community.
00:15:33.000 What do you say to a young gay man, a young gay person?
00:15:37.000 To learn to fight.
00:15:39.000 And I don't just mean like learn to fight.
00:15:41.000 I mean, learn to fight.
00:15:44.000 Learn to be a fighter.
00:15:45.000 I am not advocating violence at all.
00:15:48.000 So let's be clear about that.
00:15:50.000 If you're gonna die, fight until you do.
00:15:56.000 Because if you don't fight, you have no chance.
00:15:59.000 I have fought for love.
00:16:00.000 I'm an advocate.
00:16:02.000 I respect too much the people, who I am now one of those people, who have been attacked in any way.
00:16:11.000 You do such a disservice when you lie about things like this.
00:16:15.000 Oh, do you?
00:16:17.000 Do you, je suis humilié?
00:16:18.000 Guys, I have a message to you.
00:16:23.000 You gotta learn to fight.
00:16:23.000 Like, for example, when you're trying to punch yourself in the balls, you really should stop yourself from punching yourself in the balls by punching yourself in the balls.
00:16:32.000 That's the way to fight.
00:16:33.000 That's the way to fight.
00:16:35.000 Fight for love.
00:16:36.000 Fight for love.
00:16:37.000 And people are like, this guy's credible.
00:16:39.000 He's so credible.
00:16:40.000 Look at the emotion.
00:16:41.000 It's written across his face.
00:16:43.000 Look.
00:16:45.000 Sorry.
00:16:46.000 Sorry.
00:16:46.000 Okay, then.
00:16:51.000 But he had to run the gamut of emotions in this Good Morning America ABC News interview with Robin Roberts.
00:16:56.000 The gamut of emotion.
00:16:57.000 There was tears.
00:16:59.000 There was laughter.
00:17:00.000 There was rage.
00:17:01.000 Pure, visceral rage at the injustice of being attacked by two Nigerian guys you hired to attack you while holding a Subway sandwich.
00:17:11.000 Jesse, tell us about the rage boiling within you.
00:17:15.000 I'm pissed off.
00:17:18.000 What is it that has you so...
00:17:21.000 Angry is it the the attackers is it hackers, but it's also The attacks. Oh, it's like you know at first. It was a thing of like listen if I tell the truth then That's it cuz it's the truth Then it became a thing of like oh How can you doubt that?
00:17:43.000 Like, how do you not believe that?
00:17:45.000 It's the truth.
00:17:46.000 And then it became a thing of like, oh, it's not necessarily that you don't believe that this is the truth.
00:17:53.000 You don't even want to see the truth.
00:17:56.000 No, as it turns out, it was the other thing.
00:17:58.000 We're- we didn't... believe you.
00:18:00.000 Pfft. Heheheheh.
00:18:02.000 ...
00:18:04.000 ...
00:18:06.000 Oh! It's so good.
00:18:08.000 Heheheheh.
00:18:10.000 Heheheh.
00:18:12.000 Okay.
00:18:16.000 Wait, wait.
00:18:16.000 It gets better.
00:18:17.000 Because then, as you see, writing his own lines here, he starts breaking into double negative territory, which is real solid stuff.
00:18:25.000 Okay.
00:18:26.000 I need to regain my composure while we play this clip.
00:18:28.000 Go ahead.
00:18:29.000 There is no doubt in your mind what motivated this attack.
00:18:34.000 No!
00:18:34.000 I can only go off of their words.
00:18:37.000 I mean, who says **** Empire **** this MAGA country ****?
00:18:45.000 You.
00:18:46.000 You do that.
00:18:47.000 Ties a noose around your neck.
00:18:49.000 You.
00:18:49.000 And pours bleach on you.
00:18:50.000 It was you.
00:18:51.000 And this is just a friendly fight?
00:18:53.000 Yes.
00:18:53.000 I will never be the man that this did not happen to.
00:18:58.000 I am forever changed.
00:18:59.000 He will never be the man this did not happen to.
00:19:03.000 Never, no never.
00:19:04.000 and never in the know.
00:19:06.000 Um, I can't admit, you know, he, what was, he doesn't know what was going through, he knows exactly what was going through his attacker's head, as it turns out.
00:19:14.000 He knows precisely, down to the nitty gritty, what was going on in the attacker's head.
00:19:21.000 And yeah, that's, that's real solid.
00:19:24.000 So, he trots this out, and the entire media just, they love it.
00:19:29.000 They love it.
00:19:30.000 Now, pretty quickly, the narrative starts to fall apart.
00:19:33.000 We'll get to the narrative falling apart in a second, but first you have to understand the overwhelming level of public support that Jussi immediately received from, like, the top people in America on the left.
00:19:44.000 And it was universal.
00:19:46.000 Universal.
00:19:47.000 Nobody held back for more than- I mean, this is not a shock.
00:19:49.000 The entire left also still claims that Michael Brown was murdered by a police officer in cold blood.
00:19:55.000 The entire left still claims that Kyle Rittenhouse is a racist murderer.
00:19:58.000 So it's not a shock that they all jumped on top of it, but this one was so obviously stupid that you would have thought that maybe if they had like a sense, like a smidgen of self-preservation, that they might wait like this long to see if some of the details didn't pan out.
00:20:13.000 Because it made no sense.
00:20:14.000 It made no internal sense.
00:20:16.000 MAGA guys on the streets of Chicago?
00:20:18.000 I mean, like, what?
00:20:20.000 And, like, attacking people while shouting about empathy?
00:20:23.000 None of it made any sense.
00:20:24.000 At all.
00:20:24.000 But, they didn't wait.
00:20:25.000 And you know the reason they didn't wait?
00:20:26.000 Because, when you're on the left, the great sin, the thing you will pay a price for, is not commenting.
00:20:33.000 If you were the person who didn't comment on this, then you were bad.
00:20:37.000 Then the mob came after you.
00:20:38.000 Because how dare you not believe it?
00:20:42.000 How dare you not be the first to rush to a microphone?
00:20:44.000 It demonstrates your lack of fealty to the racial cause not to jump on this and to emote about it and to express your solidarity with GZ and hashtag justice for GZ.
00:20:55.000 And so everybody rushed, because again, that's the incentive structure on the left.
00:21:00.000 There is no incentive structure on the left to wait for the actual facts, or to put this, even if it had happened for a second, which of course it didn't, to put that in the context that Wilford Riley puts it in, statistically speaking, about race crime stats.
00:21:14.000 Nobody would ever try to contextualize this in terms of, is this a national representation of what life is actually like in America for black men?
00:21:22.000 Nobody would attempt to do that, because that would demonstrate lack of fealty to the cause.
00:21:26.000 So, your incentive structure was, you needed to rush to a microphone, you needed to rush to Twitter, and you needed to sound off on how much you believed Juicy.
00:21:34.000 And you had to beat your breast over it.
00:21:36.000 You had to talk about how it was a deep problem in America.
00:21:38.000 It was indicative of just how evil—and not only that, it was in the middle of the presidential race.
00:21:42.000 It was indicative of Trump.
00:21:44.000 It was all about Trump.
00:21:45.000 In fact, the people wearing MAGA hats?
00:21:47.000 That was probably Trump!
00:21:48.000 It was probably Trump himself.
00:21:49.000 He probably went to Chicago and chopped himself in half so there were two of him.
00:21:54.000 And then each half of Trump reunited and BAM!
00:21:56.000 Attacked Juicy Smilier.
00:21:59.000 But left him gripping in horror and rage that Subway sandwich with two little rank tuna fish.
00:22:08.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second because I'm honestly the show needs to go on for like eight hours today.
00:22:13.000 It's just we're gonna go from here to like the 2022 election just on this story because it's that good.
00:22:17.000 We'll get to more on it in one second first.

00:23:23.000 Okay, so...
00:23:25.000 The entire left world mobilized immediately.
00:23:28.000 You had Joe Biden, who rushed to Twitter to tweet out, using two fingers, because that's how he'd do it.
00:23:36.000 He tweeted out, What happened today to Jussie Smollett must never be tolerated in this country.
00:23:42.000 We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor, that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts.
00:23:53.000 We are with you, as you see.
00:23:55.000 And, um, I have good news.
00:23:58.000 Homophobia and racism had no place on our streets because the attacker of Juicy Sommelier is going to prison.
00:24:05.000 Meanwhile, Kamala Harris, when she wasn't trying to bail out rioters in the middle of the BLM riots, that would be just a little while later.
00:24:11.000 This is January 2019.
00:24:14.000 She tweets out, Jesse Smollett is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know.
00:24:20.000 Well, not to Jussie, as it turns out.
00:24:21.000 He was not so kind or gentle to Jussie.
00:24:23.000 I'm praying for his quick recovery.
00:24:25.000 This was an attempted modern-day lynching.
00:24:27.000 By the way, this tweet is still up.
00:24:28.000 No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin.
00:24:32.000 We must confront this hate.
00:24:34.000 It was an attempted modern-day lynching by Jussie Smollett against Jussie Smollett.
00:24:40.000 Such lynchings have to end.
00:24:42.000 Nancy Pelosi, who now has deleted this tweet, she tweeted, The racist, homophobic attack on Jussie Smollett is an affront to our humanity.
00:24:50.000 No one should be attacked for who they are or whom they love.
00:24:54.000 I pray that Jussie has a speedy recovery and that justice is served.
00:24:58.000 May we all commit to ending this hate once and for all.
00:25:01.000 Oh, so moving. So moving.
00:25:04.000 Maxine Waters, who has yet to find a race ride that she doesn't love, she tweeted out, So she's wrong on both of those things.
00:25:16.000 He is not talented and he is not a beautiful human being.
00:25:19.000 It is so hurtful that homophobic haters would dare hurt someone so loving and giving of checks to Nigerian immigrants to beat him up.
00:25:30.000 I'm dedicated to finding the culprits and bringing them to justice.
00:25:34.000 I have some good news, Maxine.
00:25:36.000 Her search was not in vain.
00:25:38.000 She was dedicated, like OJ Simpson, to finding the real killer.
00:25:42.000 She was dedicated to finding the culprits and bringing them to justice.
00:25:45.000 Jussie did not deserve to be harmed by anyone.
00:25:47.000 Again, I have good news.
00:25:49.000 He was not harmed by anyone.
00:25:50.000 So that's good.
00:25:52.000 Dedicated to finding the culprits and bringing them to justice.
00:25:54.000 By the way, has Maxine Waters ever said this about, you know, an innocent black person killed by a black person?
00:25:59.000 Which is the vast majority of black people who are killed in this country.
00:26:02.000 Because it turns out that intraracial crime is significantly more common than interracial crime.
00:26:10.000 Okay, and then there was Bernie.
00:26:11.000 Bernie sounded off.
00:26:12.000 We could do this all day, gang.
00:26:14.000 I got all the receipts today.
00:26:15.000 Bernie Sanders tweeted, the racist and homophobic attack on Jussie Spillette is a horrific instance of the surge in hostility to minorities around the country.
00:26:23.000 We must come together to eradicate all forms of bigotry and violence.
00:26:26.000 Here's the thing, the supply of racism and bigotry in America is so low, and the demand on the left is so high, that even a completely false, ridiculous on its face story like this had to be treated as gospel truth by the entire left, top to bottom, side to side.
00:26:43.000 I mean, everyone, everyone, any expression of doubt was tantamount to a form of heresy.
00:26:50.000 Pete Buttigieg tweeted out, while the struggle for basic hate crime legislation continues here in Indiana, this horrible attack calls all Americans to stand against hatred and violence in all of its forms.
00:27:02.000 I'd finish this tweet, but I'm on paternity leave.
00:27:06.000 And then of course there was Kirsten Gillibrand.
00:27:09.000 The one-time presidential candidate.
00:27:11.000 I say one time because it literally was one time.
00:27:13.000 It was like for a minute.
00:27:14.000 She tweeted, this is a sickening and outrageous attack and horribly it's the latest of too many hate crimes against LGBTQ plus IAA backslash colon little squiggly ding tilde over the end that turns Nina into Nina in Spanish.
00:27:28.000 People and people of color.
00:27:30.000 We are all responsible for condemning this behavior and every person who enables or normalizes it.
00:27:35.000 Praying for Jesse and his family.
00:27:37.000 We are all responsible for condemning this behavior and every person who enables or normalizes it.
00:27:42.000 Who has enabled or normalized this behavior?
00:27:44.000 Kirsten Gillibrand.
00:27:45.000 Who would enable or normalize race hoax behavior?
00:27:48.000 Who?
00:27:49.000 Who would do such a thing?
00:27:51.000 Kirsten Gillibrand.
00:27:53.000 Who?
00:27:55.000 And then the irrepressible The fresh, so fresh, so face, freshly met face head, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, representative from Twitch.
00:28:06.000 She tweeted, There is a headline from Entertainment Today that said Jussie Smollett has been hospitalized in Chicago after a possible homophobic and racially charged attack.
00:28:16.000 And she said, there is no such thing as racially charged.
00:28:19.000 This attack was not possibly homophobic.
00:28:21.000 It was racist and homophobic.
00:28:23.000 If you don't like what is happening to our country, work to change it.
00:28:25.000 It's no one's job to water down or sugarcoat the rise of hate crimes.
00:28:29.000 Also, here I am sugarcoating anti-Semitism.
00:28:33.000 Rashida Tlaib sounded off as well.
00:28:38.000 When one of the most famous black and gay men in America is not safe, the message is clearer than it ever has been.
00:28:44.000 She was quoting an article from GQ.
00:28:46.000 The dangerous lies spewing from the right wing is killing and hurting our people.
00:28:51.000 Thinking of you, Jussie Smollett, and my LGBTQ plus I-A plus L-U-Y dollar sign neighbors.
00:29:03.000 I feel like that was not the lie here, but you needed to tell it, didn't ya?
00:29:08.000 Didn't ya?
00:29:10.000 Okay, and then of course you had the activist groups, you had Color of Change, which issued a statement at the time saying that the attack was a reminder of the real violence black LGBTQ people face every day.
00:29:18.000 Well, it's not a reminder so much of the real violence that they face every day as a reminder of the fake violence that they face every day, because it turns out that he was lying and pretty obviously lying.
00:29:29.000 GLAAD put out a statement at the time Saying, Jussie's experience is sadly not unique in today's America.
00:29:33.000 By the way, that's true.
00:29:34.000 Race hoaxes happen on a fairly regular basis in the United States right now because the incentive structure is very much in favor of race hoaxes.
00:29:42.000 This has been happening, like, a lot.
00:29:43.000 Like, shockingly a lot in the United States.
00:29:46.000 This doesn't mean that there aren't hate crimes.
00:29:47.000 It doesn't mean there isn't interracial crime, white on black.
00:29:50.000 Although, interracial crime, black on white, is significantly more common.
00:29:53.000 But, the race hoax issue is a real issue.
00:29:58.000 And pretending that it's not is ignoring the state of play in the country.
00:30:03.000 Okay, and then of course you had the entire celebrity class.
00:30:05.000 So you had Ariana Grande.
00:30:07.000 We tweeted out what happened to Jesse makes me really effing sick to my stomach.
00:30:11.000 I can't believe bleep like this is really still happening every day.
00:30:14.000 I can't, I can't believe it either.
00:30:15.000 Because number one, it's not really happening every day.
00:30:17.000 And also because it's not.
00:30:18.000 So that.
00:30:19.000 What kind of world?
00:30:20.000 Question mark?
00:30:21.000 Sending all of the healing energy slash love I possibly can and hoping for change.
00:30:25.000 What can we do?
00:30:26.000 Tell me and I'm there.
00:30:27.000 Well, you could, you know, not help propagate a lie.
00:30:31.000 Shonda Rhimes, she tweeted, we all have a responsibility to rise up against the ignorance and hate out there.
00:30:35.000 If you know who did this to Jussie Smollett, report them to police.
00:30:38.000 I'm on it.
00:30:39.000 I'm on it.
00:30:41.000 I know who did this to Jussie Smollett.
00:30:43.000 Kerry Washington tweeted, Dear God!
00:30:46.000 Ah!
00:30:47.000 Ah!
00:30:48.000 She stares up to the heavens, tears pouring down her face.
00:30:51.000 Why, oh God, why?
00:30:55.000 Prayers and justice for Jussie Smollett.
00:31:01.000 Uh, justice came for Jussie Smollett, but not in the fo- Be careful what you wish for.
00:31:06.000 Zendaya?
00:31:07.000 Tweeted out, this is terrifying and heartbreaking.
00:31:10.000 Please pay attention to what's happening here.
00:31:12.000 Well, the problem is, we kind of did.
00:31:15.000 That was the problem in this story, because Juicy probably thought, okay, well, I'll tell my tale.
00:31:19.000 Maybe I won't even go to the cops.
00:31:21.000 And then it'll all be like I was a hero.
00:31:24.000 And then everybody was like, well, you know, when you do that, we pay really close attention.
00:31:27.000 And he's like, well, then you get the Homer Simpson gif of him just like backing into a bush.
00:31:33.000 Reverend Al Sharpton, who is always a plausible source when it comes to the veracity of interracial hate crimes.
00:31:41.000 It's not like Al Sharpton, who still has a show on MSNBC, it's not like he actively propagated the lie that a Manhattan DA raped an underage black girl and then scrawled racial slurs on her in feces back in the 1980s.
00:31:57.000 That'd be the Tawana Browley hoax.
00:32:01.000 Al Sharpton would never be complicit in something like that, so I take his judgment.
00:32:05.000 He has solid judgment on what is true and what is false when it comes to race hoaxes.
00:32:09.000 He tweeted out at the time, the reported hate attack on my friend and brother, actor Jussie Smollett, is despicable and outrageous.
00:32:14.000 The guilty must face the maximum.
00:32:18.000 I come bearing glad tidings, Reverend Al.
00:32:21.000 The guilty must face the maximum.
00:32:24.000 Viola Davis tweeted, O-M-G!
00:32:26.000 Double exclamation point.
00:32:28.000 This is why the LGBTQ plus I-A-O-P, open bracket, closed bracket, backslash, double quotation mark, carrot, little weird thing above the option button.
00:32:39.000 This is why that community continues to fight to be seen and protected against hate.
00:32:43.000 We all have to take this racist and homophobic attack to violence very personally.
00:32:47.000 My arms are around you, Jussie Smollett.
00:32:49.000 You are loved.
00:32:49.000 Well, the good news for Jussie Smollett is that Jussie Smollett's arms were also around Jussie Smollett when Jussie Smollett was attacking Jussie Smollett in the middle of a hate crime against Jussie Smollett.
00:32:58.000 Ellen's Generous tweeted about it, and I'm sending him and his family so much love today.
00:33:03.000 So much love.
00:33:04.000 Cher's was pretty great.
00:33:06.000 Cher tweeted out, The best thing about Cher's Twitter account is that she's so clearly drunk when she writes these tweets.
00:33:13.000 Like, the caps lock goes on, and you have to imagine when Cher tweets these things, that the caps lock button goes on, and she knows about halfway through the tweet that it's on, and she's like, ah!
00:33:23.000 Emoji!
00:33:24.000 So here's what she tweeted.
00:33:25.000 NPR.
00:33:26.000 Villainy!
00:33:26.000 Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Homophobia.
00:33:38.000 Promoted by most infamous clown.
00:33:40.000 Clown emoji.

00:33:47.000 Period.
00:33:48.000 No space.
00:33:49.000 White only is not right.
00:33:52.000 Period.
00:33:53.000 American flag is poople of color.
00:33:56.000 Praying hands.
00:33:58.000 GOP goes down with ship.
00:34:01.000 Digity.
00:34:02.000 Small digity.
00:34:04.000 Ah, Cher.
00:34:05.000 It's that sort of insight that makes you such a wondrous addition to America's political discourse.
00:34:12.000 So, you had the entire political infrastructure that came to Jussie's defense.
00:34:16.000 You had the entire entertainment infrastructure that came to Jussie's defense.
00:34:19.000 You had prominent members of the media who were helping out.
00:34:22.000 As it turns out, Don Lemon was texting with Jussie and telling Jussie that the police didn't believe him, which seems to be kind of a violation of journalistic ethics.
00:34:31.000 He had places like GQ writing articles titled, And by the way, they didn't present it as an opinion piece.
00:34:42.000 Originally, they presented it as just a journalistic piece.
00:34:45.000 And later, they were like, oh yeah, it's an opinion piece.
00:34:46.000 The editor's notes on this are pretty spectacular.
00:34:49.000 The editor's note, 222.
00:34:51.000 In the original version of this piece, GQ made two errors in editorial judgment.
00:34:55.000 We failed to clearly present the post as an opinion piece.
00:34:58.000 And we regret applying unfounded political motivations to then-breaking news with the original headline.
00:35:04.000 We have altered the headline.
00:35:06.000 Juicy... Update!
00:35:07.000 Jussie Smollett was arrested.
00:35:09.000 Update!
00:35:09.000 The story is fast-moving.
00:35:10.000 We're keeping an eye on the news as it develops.
00:35:12.000 Whoopsie-doodle!
00:35:13.000 But again, the entire piece is predicated on the idea that Jussie Smollett is representative of black men in America and gay men in America, and none of that is true.
00:35:23.000 None of that is true.
00:35:24.000 That's why they did this.
00:35:24.000 But that was the narrative.
00:35:25.000 If it were not a narrative story, it wouldn't matter.
00:35:28.000 And by the way, it is important to remember that Juicy was part and parcel of the left-wing infrastructure.
00:35:33.000 He was a very political actor.
00:35:34.000 He was always political.
00:35:35.000 And he kind of fell out of prominence because the Obamas were no longer in office, and so him hanging out with Michelle Obama just wasn't the same.
00:35:42.000 But I mean, this is a guy who literally went dancing with Michelle Obama, right?
00:35:46.000 This is a person who was very political.
00:35:47.000 I mean, here's some video of him dancing with Michelle Obama back in 2018.
00:35:51.000 Ah, how the mighty have fallen.
00:35:53.000 Here he was dancing with Michelle Obama one year before he faked a hate crime against himself.
00:35:57.000 By the way, it didn't, it wasn't just that he danced with Michelle Obama.
00:36:08.000 As it turns out, At the time, Tina Tchen's longtime friend was not surprised that the former Obama administration aide helped connect Jussie Smollett's family with a top Illinois prosecutor.
00:36:18.000 Weeks before a grand jury indicted Smollett on the theory he falsely reported being the victim of a hate crime, relatives of the actor had expressed to Tina Tchen concerns about the investigation by Chicago PD.
00:36:27.000 Getting the right person to take those sorts of concerns seriously has been a hallmark of Tina Tchen's career, highlighted by a stint as then-First Lady Michelle Obama's Chief of Staff.
00:36:37.000 So, she reached out, Michelle Obama's Chief of Staff, to prosecutors to try and work on behalf of Jussie Smollett.
00:36:47.000 Chen said her contact with Kim Foxx on behalf of Smollett's family was not intended to influence the case's outcome.
00:36:52.000 Oh, sure, it wasn't.
00:36:55.000 Shortly after Smollett reported he was attacked as a family friend, I contacted Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx, who I also know from prior work together, she said.
00:37:03.000 My sole activity was to put the chief prosecutor in the case in touch with an alleged victim's family who had concerns about how the investigation was being characterized in public.
00:37:12.000 So, um, that was how tied in Jussie Smollett was to the infrastructure here.
00:37:19.000 Now, we have to go back to what exactly happened, what the timeline was, because honestly, it's just, it's a wonderful timeline.
00:37:25.000 And then we'll get to the defense that Jussie tried to provide for his behavior.
00:37:31.000 First, it's the Christmas and holiday season.

00:38:36.000 Alrighty, before we go further, Down memory lane and actually examine what happened that night as the police began to investigate, because we have a full timeline.
00:38:45.000 It's that glorious time of the week when I give a shout out to a Daily Wire member.
00:38:47.000 Today, it's Justin Anderson on Instagram who sums up what many voters on the left are currently feeling.
00:38:52.000 In the pic, Justin is sporting an American flag hat, clutching the world's greatest beverage vessel while out for an afternoon drive.
00:38:57.000 The caption reads, Cruising the internet, relishing the left's despair as they cry sweet tears of embarrassment and humiliation after slowly realizing that the sweet old man they thought they voted for turned out to be the worst president in American history.
00:39:09.000 Nice work, Libs.
00:39:10.000 Thanks for the Tumblr, RealDailyWire.
00:39:11.000 Hashtag, LeftistTearsTumblr.
00:39:14.000 Well put.
00:39:14.000 Well put.
00:39:15.000 Thanks for the pic.
00:39:15.000 Thanks for being a DailyWire member.
00:39:17.000 Also, the Biden administration's unconstitutional vaccine mandate not doing well in court.
00:39:20.000 Not only has the OSHA mandate received a nationwide stay, but the U.S.
00:39:24.000 Senate voted 52 to 48 against Joe Biden's federal mandate.
00:39:28.000 The issue now goes to the House, who are probably going to just uphold the vaccine mandate and then Biden can veto it anyway, which is why we can't leave a contentious issue up to the Biden administration.
00:39:37.000 Instead, we've taken matters into our own hands, putting our own business at risk.
00:39:41.000 We were the first in the nation to file suit against Joe Biden's authoritarian mandate.
00:39:44.000 There will be many, many more.
00:39:46.000 The onus is on us, the people, to try to fight back when they try to force our compliance.
00:39:51.000 What we put in our bodies really should not be up to the government.
00:39:54.000 Neither is how we spend our holidays, which Biden's winter COVID plan, he's hinting now that he kind of wants to shut down Christmas again.
00:40:00.000 Anthony Fauci said that maybe we should actually put vax mandates on people before they fly domestically, which means that if you want to actually go see your members of your family, you either have to take a car or you have to vax if Anthony Fauci gets his way.
00:40:10.000 Now, they kind of floated that as a trial balloon.
00:40:12.000 We'll see if it happens, but this is clearly the direction they are thinking.
00:40:15.000 Our collective voices have never been more important in the fight for freedom.
00:40:18.000 Now's your chance to add your voice to the fight.
00:40:20.000 If you haven't signed our petition against Biden's VAX mandate, please head on over to dailywire.com slash do not comply and add your name.
00:40:25.000 We should send an overwhelming message to this administration that we are not going to comply.
00:40:29.000 We're trying to get to a million signatures.
00:40:30.000 We're at about 800,000 signatures so far.
00:40:32.000 We need your help to cross that finish line.
00:40:34.000 So please sign the petition at dailywire.com slash do not comply.
00:40:37.000 Share that petition with all your friends and family.
00:40:39.000 Let's send a really loud and clear message.

00:41:45.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:41:48.000 Alrighty, so now let's go through the actual timeline of what happened with Jesse because Okay, so, 1230 AM, as according to the Chicago Tribune, Smolier arrives at O'Hare International Airport on a flight from New York after a four-hour delay.
00:42:06.000 At 1249 AM, Smolier, called Abimbola Usindaro, told him the attack would take place at 2 AM at the corner of New and North Water Streets, a predetermined location.
00:42:16.000 Minutes later, That guy's brother, a Lubin Jew, ordered an Uber rideshare, which picks the brothers up at their Lakeview apartment and drops them in the 1400 block of North Well Street.
00:42:26.000 They hailed a cab, which took them to within three blocks of the meeting site.
00:42:30.000 From 1.22 a.m.
00:42:31.000 until 2.03 a.m., surveillance videos show the Ucindero brothers on foot in an area bordered on the north by Illinois Street, south by the Chicago River, west to Columbus Drive, east to Lakeshore.
00:42:39.000 1.30 a.m., Smollett arrived at his apartment.
00:42:43.000 1.45, he left his apartment building to walk to a nearby Subway restaurant.
00:42:46.000 Again, this is where the suspicious activity begins.
00:42:47.000 2 a.m., the Ucindero brothers arrived at the intersection of New and North Water Streets, but Smollett was not there.
00:42:53.000 They walked a quarter block north and waited near a bench.
00:42:56.000 At 2.04 a.m., Smollett arrives, and the attack was staged just outside the view of a nearby surveillance camera.
00:43:01.000 He would later claim that two white men approached him, shouted slurs at him, struck him in the face, and poured an unknown substance on him before one of them wrapped a rope around his neck.
00:43:10.000 While the 45-second incident occurs, an employee of nearby NBC News Chicago observed it and later tells police she heard nothing.
00:43:16.000 Smollett also said he was on the phone with his manager at the time of the attack.
00:43:21.000 And then after the attack, there was video evidence showing the brothers running away.
00:43:24.000 And then they got into a taxi.
00:43:26.000 And then they got out of the taxi at their apartment and walked north.
00:43:30.000 At 2.27 a.m., Smollett's business manager, Frank Gatson, called the cops from the actor's apartment.
00:43:35.000 Surveillance camera footage shows the actor still had the rope around his neck when he returned to the building, which is definitely what you do.
00:43:39.000 When someone tries to garret you, you just keep that hanging around.
00:43:42.000 I mean, why not?
00:43:43.000 2.42, officers arrived at Smollett's apartment building to interview him.
00:43:46.000 They observed cuts and scrapes on his face and noticed a small rope around his neck.
00:43:50.000 At Smollett's request, the officers turned off the body cameras.
00:43:53.000 Of course.
00:43:54.000 According to Chicago Police Spokesperson, Anthony Guglielmi, Smollett told them the attackers yelled he was in MEGA COUNTRY and then he went to the hospital.
00:44:06.000 And then, 18 hours after the attack, he placed a 5 second call to one of the brothers.
00:44:11.000 And then a little bit later, they placed a call back to Jussie Smollett.
00:44:17.000 Okay, so that was the actual timeline of what happened.
00:44:20.000 I think that it is, I think it is necessary for us to just remind ourselves of how absurd this whole thing was.
00:44:26.000 Within days of all of this coming out, Jussie Smillier's attorneys claimed that the reason that Jussie was attacked by two black men, not two white men, and that Jussie reported that it was two white men, that the reason that this happened is because maybe, maybe the two Nigerian brothers were wearing whiteface.
00:44:46.000 Mm-hmm.
00:44:49.000 The Osendairo brothers, what are the chances that that's the case?
00:44:52.000 That he saw somebody with light skin?
00:44:55.000 Well, you know, I mean, I think there's obviously you can disguise that, you could put makeup on.
00:45:00.000 There is actually, interestingly enough, a video, you know, I think police did minimal investigation in this case.
00:45:05.000 It was, it took me all of five minutes to Google, you know, I was looking up the brothers and one of the first videos that showed up actually was one of the brothers in white face doing a Joker monologue with white makeup on.
00:45:15.000 And so it's not, it's not implausible.
00:45:17.000 Uh, no, actually, it's super-duper-pooper-scooper-implausible.
00:45:22.000 I love that we're so far down the America is racist rabbit hole that in order to prove America is racist, a black gay man had to fake an attack on himself by hiring two brothers from Nigeria and then have his lawyer claim on national television that it was two black people who dressed up as white people to attack him.
00:45:38.000 Yeah, man.
00:45:39.000 I feel like, for all the people who say systemic racism is the nature of all of this, yeah, I have some questions.
00:45:46.000 There's a great article by Kyle Smith over at National Review going through some of the details of the magic of the Jussie Smollett trial.
00:45:54.000 It's titled, Jussie Smollett, Funniest Trial Ever.
00:45:58.000 Yep.
00:45:59.000 Yep.
00:46:01.000 He says, the prosecution made a case that was airtight, locked down, seamless as an egg.
00:46:05.000 So what did Team Smollett do?
00:46:06.000 They whined there should be a mistrial because the judge had snarled and lunged at them.
00:46:11.000 The judge missed the opportunity to say, I only snarl when my bushwhawk detector goes off like a Geiger counter at Chernobyl, and I can't very well lunge when I'm sitting at this desk.
00:46:18.000 The defense lawyers asked for a directed not guilty finding, which was so sweet it was like learning an eighth grader had written to Emily Ratajkowski with an earnest proposal of marriage.
00:46:27.000 Smollett's publicist, called upon to testify by his side, noted that a celebrity whose earning potential depended on his face would not want to undergo any process that might significantly damage said face.
00:46:37.000 Just so, cried America, because he didn't damage his face.
00:46:43.000 As for Smollett's pals testifying against him, they produced a $3,500 check Juicy had written them as an advance payment, because the ringmaster of this flea circus was too dumb to understand that cash is the preferred payment method when doing stuff you don't want others to find out about.
00:46:56.000 Lawyers tried to explain this was for nutritional tips.
00:47:00.000 The supposed nutritional advisory siblings said no one had ever paid them more than $100 for such advice before.
00:47:07.000 Also, they were texting each other beforehand, and they were using Uber, and yeah, it was just a genius move all the way through.
00:47:18.000 Framing the attack as an episode of homophobia opens up more questions that Smollett can't answer.
00:47:22.000 If the brothers were looking to attack a random gay person and had an irrepressible 2 a.m.
00:47:25.000 urge to do so, why didn't they go to the gay neighborhood where one of them worked?
00:47:29.000 Why are they hanging around over here?
00:47:31.000 And the answer is because it was all bull.
00:47:33.000 So, here's the thing.
00:47:34.000 By April of 2019, we all knew this was bull.
00:47:36.000 And the media kept trying to proclaim that maybe it was true.
00:47:39.000 Maybe it was true.
00:47:40.000 But black comedians were having none of it.
00:47:43.000 Tracy Morgan, April 2019.
00:47:45.000 Mocking all this.
00:47:46.000 Like, I have to tell you, the woke white people are just the worst.
00:47:50.000 Okay, I want to contrast something.
00:47:51.000 So here is Ellen Page.
00:47:54.000 Sorry, no, this is Elliot Page.
00:47:56.000 This is when Elliot was Ellen.
00:48:00.000 Elliot is still a woman, but now has had some surgeries and is a trans man.
00:48:05.000 This is when Elliot was Ellen and trying to present as a woman.
00:48:12.000 We have a media that's saying it's a debate whether or not what just happened to Jussie Smollett is a hate crime.
00:48:19.000 time this was Ellen Page. Okay, so this is Ellen Page who was with Stephen Colbert, both of them agreeing that to even doubt Jussie Smollett's story demonstrated that you didn't take seriously the problem of gay black Americans or some such.
00:48:19.000 It's absurd.
00:48:30.000 We have a media that's saying it's a debate whether or not what just happened to Jussie Smollett is a hate crime. It's absurd. This s*** isn't a debate.
00:48:40.000 It's a little of a debate.
00:48:42.000 A little.
00:48:43.000 And Stephen Colbert, he says, I agree.
00:48:45.000 I agree.
00:48:46.000 Because that's what matters.
00:48:47.000 It's the agreement among the elites.
00:48:48.000 So here's the thing, why would you ever trust these people again?
00:48:51.000 Why would you ever, ever, ever trust these people again?
00:48:53.000 You shouldn't.
00:48:53.000 And you shouldn't.
00:48:54.000 Because they're so full of it.
00:48:55.000 They're full of it every... Like, at the very least, you should wait to draw a conclusion from any headline they report.
00:49:01.000 24-hour rule.
00:49:02.000 Okay, wait 24 hours and see if any story they report bears elementary scrutiny.
00:49:07.000 Because they'll report anything that backs their narrative, even a story as ridiculous as Juicy Smilies.
00:49:12.000 And honestly, I'm just happy to be living in a country where people who conspire to commit an attack on a gay black man by other gay black men, hired by the original gay black man, where those people go to prison where they can share a cell with the gay black man because they're the same human.
00:49:28.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here later today with an additional hour of content.
