The Ben Shapiro Show - It’s The Democrats’ January 6 Spectacular!!! | Ep. 1407

00:00:00.000 Democrats roll out the cast of Hamilton, the faux emotion of Kamala Harris and angry Joe Biden to remind Americans that January 6th was the inflection point for humanity.

00:00:10.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.

00:00:10.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:28.000 It's like checking in your baggage at the airport without any sort of lock.

00:00:31.000 You think that your stuff is private, but then somebody starts rifling through your underwear.

00:00:35.000 Well, when you go online without a VPN, that's what everybody is doing with your personal data, particularly your internet service provider, which can see every single website you visit.

00:00:43.000 They can then legally sell that information without your consent to ad companies and text giants who then use your data to target you.

00:00:49.000 When you use ExpressVPN, ISPs can no longer see that sort of online activity.

00:00:53.000 Your identity is anonymized by a secure VPN server.

00:00:56.000 Your data is also encrypted for maximum protection, which is the reason that I use ExpressVPN also because it's super easy to use.

00:01:02.000 All I have to do is open up the app, hit one button, and now it is fired up and I am protected.

00:01:07.000 It works on all your devices, phones, laptops, even routers, so everyone who shares your Wi-Fi can be protected.

00:01:12.000 I've got too much personal data on my computer to just be handing that over to my ISP.

00:01:16.000 Secure your online activity today by visiting expressvpn.com slash ben today.

00:01:27.000 Expressvpn.com So, yesterday was the most important day in American history.

00:01:36.000 It was the first anniversary of January 6th.

00:01:38.000 And it was like Christmas in January for the Democrats.

00:01:41.000 They couldn't really determine whether it was supposed to be a solemn commemoration or a celebration or what exactly it was supposed to be.

00:01:47.000 They just knew it was really, really important.

00:01:50.000 And the reason it was really important is because Joe Biden's poll numbers are in the toilet.

00:01:54.000 And the only reason that Joe Biden was elected in 2020 to begin with is because there were a lot of people who did not like Donald Trump.

00:02:00.000 And so Joe Biden ran on, I'm gonna restore the soul of this country!

00:02:05.000 And people were like, okay, that sounds all right.

00:02:08.000 And then he immediately got into office and started pursuing Bernie Sanders' agenda.

00:02:13.000 And his entire popularity, which had been close to 60%, is now all the way down to 40%.

00:02:18.000 So he's trying to revive his flagging presidency by going back to January 6th and just whipping that dead horse as much as he possibly can.

00:02:25.000 And you can tell, How much the Democrats are reliant on January 6th, how much they see it as a political opportunity.

00:02:32.000 You can see that by how they treated it.

00:02:34.000 It was sort of how they treated it.

00:02:35.000 You remember there was a senator named Paul Wellstone from Minnesota.

00:02:37.000 This is, I don't know, now 15, 20 years ago.

00:02:40.000 And he died in a plane crash and there was a big democratic event.

00:02:44.000 For him.

00:02:45.000 A memorial event.

00:02:46.000 And instead of it being a unifying event involving members of both sides of the political aisle, instead Democrats just went to Paul Wellstone's funeral and proceeded to basically throw a political rally.

00:02:56.000 This is pretty much what they did yesterday on January 6th.

00:02:58.000 And here's the dead giveaway.

00:03:00.000 Nancy Pelosi literally had the cast of Hamilton sing a song in the middle of the January 6th, quote unquote, memorial.

00:03:08.000 First of all, the January 6th memorial, normally when you have some sort of commemorative memorial, it's because a lot of people died.

00:03:15.000 Typically, you have a 9-11 memorial because 3,000 Americans were killed, or you have a December 7th, 1941 memorial because 2,300 Americans were killed.

00:03:23.000 Typically, when you have a memorial, it's because there was tremendous human suffering involved.

00:03:27.000 The grand total number of people who were killed Not people who died of associated heart attack, or being crushed by a crowd, or died later.

00:03:36.000 The number of people who were actively killed on January 6th is one, and it was Ashley Babbitt who was shot by a Capitol Police officer while trying to move through a broken window to get a congresspeople.

00:03:45.000 So they have this big memorial event, and here's Nancy Pelosi introducing the cast of Hamilton for a number of... Is there anything more in the bubble than this?

00:03:54.000 First of all, the people who desperately love Hamilton, they all live in blue states.

00:03:59.000 There's not a huge crowd for Hamilton in the red states.

00:04:01.000 I'm not even ripping on the musical right now, although it's not my favorite musical for a variety of reasons, but the people who are just obsessed with it, they are all people who are kind of theater majors living in blue states.

00:04:15.000 So where is the broad popular appeal?

00:04:17.000 It reminds me of 2016 when Hillary Clinton was running for president and at the Democratic National Convention, they brought forth all of these pop stars to speak precisely to their base, but to no one else.

00:04:28.000 Here was Nancy Pelosi yesterday introducing the cast of Hamilton for some odd reason.

00:04:32.000 I have no idea what this has to do with January 6th, but here we go.

00:04:36.000 We're privileged to have a contribution from one of the great creative talents of our time, Lin Manuel.

00:04:43.000 Miranda, may his beautiful words be an inspiration to us.

00:04:48.000 Among the words he said, and in the music, we'll make it right for you.

00:04:53.000 If we lay a strong enough foundation, we'll pass it on to you, and we'll give the world to you.

00:05:00.000 What in the world?

00:05:03.000 I'm supposed to take these people seriously?

00:05:05.000 Really?

00:05:05.000 How am I supposed to take these people seriously?

00:05:08.000 I mean, this would be the equivalent of Republicans holding some sort of commemoration for the BLM riots of 2020, and then bringing out Lee Greenwood to sing God Bless the USA, right? 0.72

00:05:20.000 This is the kind of stuff that Democrats listen to in the shower, but I'm not sure what it has to do with January 6th, per se.

00:05:26.000 But that's because it's all a big show.

00:05:28.000 That's all this is.

00:05:29.000 It's just a big show.

00:05:30.000 So, the first person they brought out was Kamala Harris. 1.00

00:05:33.000 I don't know why they keep bringing forth Kamala Harris to speak at these sorts of things.

00:05:36.000 I really don't.

00:05:36.000 She is absolutely awful at this.

00:05:38.000 It is extraordinary how bad she is at this.

00:05:40.000 Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States.

00:05:43.000 Normally, you might assume a baseline level of competence for somebody like Kamala Harris.

00:05:46.000 After all, she has been an Attorney General of a major state, she was elected Senator from a major state, and now she's Vice President.

00:05:52.000 But here is the thing.

00:05:53.000 Nope.

00:05:55.000 I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone in American politics fail upward the way that Kamala Harris has failed upward.

00:05:59.000 I mean, to the point where the administration knows she's so bad that they're like, well, maybe we should fail her upward to the Supreme Court just to get rid of her. 0.99

00:06:06.000 You know how much people hate you when they're talking about elevating you to the Supreme Court just to get rid of you?

00:06:12.000 Like, we'll do anything to get rid of this lady. 1.00

00:06:13.000 Make her God Emperor. 0.98

00:06:14.000 I don't care. 0.98

00:06:15.000 Just get her the hell out of here. 1.00

00:06:16.000 Anyway, Kamala Harris spoke yesterday at the Capitol building and was predictably awful. 1.00

00:06:20.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.

00:06:22.000 First, let's talk about a simple fact.

00:06:24.000 If you run a business, you need to solve your HR issues.

00:06:32.000 If HR is not handled, There are so many issues that can come back and bite you directly on the toes.

00:06:37.000 Wrongful termination suits, minimum wage requirements, labor regulations.

00:06:40.000 HR manager salaries are not cheap.

00:06:42.000 They're an average of $70,000 a year.

00:07:21.000 B-A-M-B-E-E dot com slash Shapiro. 0.63

00:07:25.000 Okay, so, here we go with the most incompetent vice president of my lifetime.

00:07:30.000 I mean, it is not...

00:07:32.000 Would it be fair to say ever?

00:07:33.000 I think it'd be fair to say ever.

00:07:34.000 It's like Spiro, Agnew, or Herr, right?

00:07:36.000 There are not a lot of contenders here on this short list of bad vice presidents.

00:07:42.000 Here's Kamala Harris speaking from the Capitol Rotunda, because of course, this was the most important inflection point in American history, so we have to do exactly what Democrats say we have to do, comparing January 6th to some of the worst days in American history.

00:07:57.000 Certain dates echo throughout history.

00:08:01.000 Including dates that instantly remind all who have lived through them where they were and what they were doing when our democracy came under assault.

00:08:14.000 Dates that occupy not only a place on our calendars, but a place in our collective memory.

00:08:24.000 December 7th, 1941.

00:08:24.000 September 7th, 1941. September 11th, 2001. And January 6th, 2021.

00:08:34.000 Um, no.

00:08:36.000 No.

00:08:36.000 I don't think that 20 years from now, if somebody asks, what were you doing on January 6th, 2021?

00:08:40.000 Everybody's like, I know exactly where I was.

00:08:43.000 In fact, if you asked me what I was doing on January 6th, 2021, I was watching TV and watching some of it happen, but I don't actively remember where I was.

00:08:51.000 I think I was at the office for part of the day, but I don't remember.

00:08:54.000 If you ask me exactly what happened when I heard about September 11th, I can tell you exactly, to the moment, where I was when I heard about September 11th.

00:09:02.000 This one is not on that list. 0.98

00:09:03.000 Beyond that, Are you really comparing a day on which a couple of hundred idiots went into the Capitol building? 0.98

00:09:10.000 Some of them with violent intent, some of them just kind of wandering in? 0.99

00:09:13.000 Are you really comparing that?

00:09:17.000 A riot in which one person total was killed, like, in the riot.

00:09:23.000 One person was actually killed in the riot.

00:09:26.000 Are you comparing that to December 7, 1941, which not only ended with the death of 2,300 American service members, but also began America's involvement in World War II, which led to hundreds of thousands of deaths, or September 11, 2001, which was the terrorist murder of 3,000 Americans, the destruction of the Twin Towers in New York City, the attack on the Pentagon, The taking down of a plane in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and the initiation of the War on Terror, which involved two major American wars in two different theaters.

00:09:56.000 Is that what we are comparing January 6th to now?

00:10:00.000 Because just on the calendar, that was not probably among the 10 most damaging riots of the last year.

00:10:08.000 Probably there were 10 more damaging riots during 2020 than there were January 6th.

00:10:11.000 There's $1.5 million in damage done total to the Capitol building on January 6th and one person who was killed.

00:10:17.000 There's some 25 people who died in the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020 and $5 billion in uninsured property damage and about $2 billion in insured property damage done during that period.

00:10:28.000 So, no.

00:10:30.000 Okay, but what this is really about is that we have to strengthen the rule of law, strengthen the rule of democracy.

00:10:36.000 Now, this is really galling stuff to hear from some of the exact same people who were literally attempting to bail out rioters in 2020.

00:10:43.000 People who had built a narrative.

00:10:44.000 I know everybody forgets about this stuff, but leading up to the election of 2020, it was not just President Trump who was suggesting that the election was going to be corrupt and there were going to be problems.

00:10:53.000 It was Democrats who were suggesting this also.

00:10:55.000 You'll recall that Louis DeJoy, who was the postmaster general, right?

00:10:58.000 The guy who's in charge of the post office?

00:11:00.000 He was accused of actively removing mailboxes to prevent people from sending in their absentee ballots.

00:11:06.000 This was like a big controversy.

00:11:08.000 And the groundwork had been laid that if Trump had won again, the Democrats would have claimed that that was illegitimate.

00:11:14.000 Because there were riots in 2017 when Trump was inaugurated.

00:11:18.000 On inauguration day, 200 people were arrested in 2017.

00:11:20.000 I know we're supposed to pretend that didn't happen.

00:11:22.000 It did.

00:11:23.000 People were burning cars in the middle of Washington, D.C.

00:11:25.000 in 2017.

00:11:27.000 People tried to occupy the steps of the Capitol building, like some of the members of the Women's March. 1.00

00:11:32.000 But here is Kamala Harris suddenly in favor of the rule of law. 1.00

00:11:36.000 Honestly, it is the hypocrisy here that is so galling.

00:11:39.000 Some of us have said that all lawbreakers should go to prison.

00:11:42.000 Some of us have said that only lawbreakers on their side should go to prison.

00:11:45.000 If you're one of the latter, you don't get to talk about rule of law.

00:11:48.000 You don't.

00:11:49.000 But that's exactly what Kamala Harris does. 1.00

00:11:52.000 You see, the strength of democracy is the rule of law.

00:11:57.000 The strength of democracy is the principle That everyone should be treated equally.

00:12:04.000 That elections should be free and fair.

00:12:09.000 That corruption should be given no quarter.

00:12:13.000 The strength of democracy is that it empowers I'm sorry, when you say the strength of democracy is the principle that everybody should be treated equally, and your entire administration is built on the principle not of equality of rights, but equity, which is a suggestion that there ought to be equality of outcome, and that any disparity in American life you can chalk up to the failures of our institutions?

00:12:36.000 Like, it's hard for me to buy that we can all come together around a set of principles when I know on a fundamental level you do not believe in those principles.

00:12:43.000 I'm perfectly happy to say, and have said many, many times, don't lie about elections.

00:12:47.000 Accept election results.

00:12:49.000 You should not break the law.

00:12:50.000 If you violate the law, you should go to jail.

00:12:51.000 Right?

00:12:51.000 This applies across the board.

00:12:53.000 But the fact that I'm saying it applies across the board makes people on the left mad.

00:12:57.000 If I say it applies across the board like, well, you're doing whataboutism, it's not whataboutism to say that something should apply equally.

00:13:03.000 It's what aboutism for you guys to say that it shouldn't apply to your side.

00:13:07.000 It should only apply to the other side.

00:13:09.000 And here's the point from Kamala Harris, and she's so obvious. 0.99

00:13:11.000 She's so bad at this. 1.00

00:13:12.000 My God, she's bad at this. 1.00

00:13:14.000 There's a tremendous lack of subtlety.

00:13:16.000 I don't know whether it is just because she's not particularly smart or whether it's because she thinks she's smarter than she is, but whatever it is, Kamala Harris then comes out and she says exactly what she wants, which is give me more power. 0.97

00:13:28.000 I want more power.

00:13:29.000 And then somehow she botches the Constitution of the United States. 1.00

00:13:32.000 She tries to recite it word for word.

00:13:34.000 It does not go well.

00:13:36.000 Let's be clear.

00:13:37.000 We must pass the voting rights bills that are now before the Senate.

00:13:43.000 And the American people must also do something more.

00:13:49.000 We cannot sit on the sidelines

00:13:53.000 We must unite in defense of our democracy in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure

00:14:21.000 Blessings of liberty to ourselves and to our prosperity and posterity.

00:14:28.000 Okay, so at the very end there, my favorite part of this is that all she's doing here is just reading the Constitution like a bad third grade candidate for secretary, for class secretary.

00:14:37.000 That's what she's doing right there. 0.96

00:14:38.000 She gets to the end of that and she's like, we have to pass everything I want you to pass.

00:14:41.000 And now I'm just going to read you the preamble to the Constitution of the United States.

00:14:46.000 Except I'm going to completely blow it.

00:14:49.000 We're not securing the blessings of prosperity to ourselves at the end of the Constitution.

00:14:52.000 That's not a thing.

00:14:53.000 It's posterity.

00:14:54.000 She corrects herself and she almost starts laughing at herself because she knows that she's blown it.

00:14:57.000 Okay, that was all preamble to President Biden.

00:15:00.000 So Kamala Harris's shtick was, I'm here as an empathetic person.

00:15:04.000 I'm here as an empathetic person who wants you to do everything I want you to do.

00:15:09.000 She's like Galadriel from Lord of the Rings.

00:15:11.000 I will be a queen, not a queen of darkness, but a queen of power.

00:15:17.000 It starts off all nice, you're like being nice to Frodo, and then all of a sudden she's like, BUTTER QUEEN!

00:15:22.000 It's quite wonderful.

00:15:23.000 Then, they get to old man Biden yelling at clouds.

00:15:27.000 But he's very passionate!

00:15:28.000 He's very angry because the only animating feature of Joe Biden, really deep down, the only reason he is president is because he is not Donald Trump.

00:15:35.000 That is the only reason that he is president of the United States.

00:15:38.000 And it's the only thing that animates him.

00:15:40.000 I mean, this is perfectly obvious, by the way.

00:15:42.000 He has said in open interviews that he doesn't know if he's going to run for president in 2024.

00:15:45.000 He says, I think I will, but I'm a big believer in faith and sometimes health.

00:15:50.000 And, you know, and then David Muir from ABC News is like, what if Trump runs?

00:15:53.000 Well, then you're tempting me.

00:15:56.000 Joker grin.

00:15:56.000 You're tempting me.

00:15:58.000 Because the only thing that made Joe Biden president was running against Donald Trump.

00:15:58.000 Right.

00:16:02.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.

00:16:04.000 First, Let's say that you're an uncle to a young kid.

00:16:09.000 That kid has been put in your care.

00:16:11.000 And the kid is, he's a good kid, but he's kind of wayward.

00:16:14.000 And he, for some reason, lately, he's been undergoing some sort of changes.

00:16:18.000 Kind of physical, mental changes.

00:16:20.000 You're not sure what the deal is.

00:16:22.000 And one day, you just, you see him running after a criminal on the street.

00:16:27.000 And the criminal runs up to you and shoots you.

00:16:29.000 Well, as you lie bleeding on the street, you look up at him, you say, Peter Parker, I should have bought life insurance from Policy Genius.

00:16:36.000 Because now Aunt May is just, she's living in this derelict old house. 0.98

00:17:19.000 Okay, so now we get to old man Biden yelling at clouds.

00:17:22.000 So, President Biden takes to the podium.

00:17:26.000 And most of this speech was just about how bad Trump is. 0.97

00:17:29.000 Trump is very bad, and bad is Trump, and Trump is bad.

00:17:31.000 Okay, but that would not in any real way be about January 6th, because January 6th was about more than Trump. 0.82

00:17:42.000 The activities that Trump involved himself in, from November 4th to January 6th, in which he denied the election, in which he suggested that the election was completely the result of electoral fraud, that he had outright won more votes in places like Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin.

00:17:54.000 All of that was bad behavior.

00:17:56.000 That was malfeasance.

00:17:57.000 It was not true.

00:17:59.000 There was certainly some electoral fraud, because in a country with 155 million voters, there will be some electoral fraud.

00:18:04.000 There was certainly corruption when it came to some of the election rules.

00:18:07.000 Many states embraced rules that were completely out of the box, originally because of COVID.

00:18:13.000 But then as it became clear that you could vote without really risking your own health, it was not because of COVID anymore.

00:18:18.000 So when Pennsylvania decided to overrule its own constitution and simply put in place a bunch of full-scale absentee balloting, Well, that was a violation of law, even if the Pennsylvania Supreme Court didn't call it that way.

00:18:29.000 But Trump had every opportunity to challenge that stuff in court.

00:18:32.000 He brought some 80 lawsuits.

00:18:34.000 I believe all but one ended up being struck down.

00:18:36.000 Even the one that wasn't struck down ended up being overruled at a certain point.

00:18:40.000 He didn't even make most of the allegations in court that he made publicly.

00:18:42.000 But that's not what Biden is talking about.

00:18:44.000 What Biden is saying is that Trump is responsible for the destruction of democracy.

00:18:49.000 That's on Trump, and mostly it's on everyone who disagrees with Joe Biden.

00:18:53.000 You have to give Joe Biden your full faith because he's standing in the face of a full-scale assault on democracy that continues to this very day.

00:19:01.000 Because here's the thing.

00:19:02.000 Trump left office.

00:19:02.000 He's no longer president.

00:19:04.000 January 6th happened over a year ago.

00:19:08.000 So the notion that we are all just waiting for Joe Biden to save us from the grave threat of Trump, I'm not sure who he's talking to other than his base.

00:19:18.000 But being very, very angry about Trump and then suggesting the entire Republican Party is going to overthrow elections, when it was the Republican Party, by the way, that certified the 2020 election.

00:19:28.000 Remember, never forget, it was Mike Pence who certified the election.

00:19:31.000 That was the guy who was the incumbent vice president.

00:19:34.000 It was Senator Mitch McConnell who oversaw the certification of election results.

00:19:38.000 It was Republican secretaries of state like Brad Raffensperger in Georgia and Republican governors in Arizona.

00:19:44.000 It was a bunch of Republican state legislatures that certified these votes. 0.98

00:19:48.000 And so we were not close to a coup.

00:19:50.000 We were not close to an overthrow of American democracy.

00:19:53.000 And so that kind of gives the lie to everything that Biden is saying, but Biden has to gin up the outrage.

00:19:57.000 He has to gin up the rage because if he does not gin that stuff up, he's got nothing.

00:20:01.000 It is all January 6th or bust for Joe Biden at this point.

00:20:04.000 He's riding at 40% in the approval ratings and 2022 is going to hit him like a tsunami.

00:20:10.000 So he steps up to the microphone and he gets animated for the first time in his presidency.

00:20:15.000 This is the first time he has looked alive for at least a year.

00:20:17.000 Joe Biden has been wandering around in a stupefied zombie state as though under the influence of opiates for nearly his entire presidency.

00:20:25.000 He looks as though he's constantly falling asleep, but not yesterday.

00:20:28.000 Yesterday, he actually looked mildly alive.

00:20:30.000 It was strange.

00:20:31.000 He kind of looked like he was... The only time that Joe Biden looks alive is when he can yell about Trump.

00:20:36.000 So that's what he did yesterday.

00:20:37.000 And you're all supposed to give him power and pretend that he's not a bad president because Trump. 0.96

00:20:41.000 So, he began by suggesting that the January 6th was a grave assault on democracy that nearly ended the 230-odd year experiment of the United States, which of course is ridiculous and silly on its face. 0.95

00:20:56.000 State the obvious. 0.52

00:20:58.000 One year ago today, in this sacred place, Democracy was attacked.

00:21:07.000 Simply attacked.

00:21:10.000 The will of the people was under assault.

00:21:13.000 The Constitution, our Constitution, faced the gravest of threats. 0.99

00:21:19.000 Wait, so the gravest of threats was, just to get this straight, a couple of hundred idiots Trespassing, yelling, breaking windows, and committing criminal acts against police officers in the Capitol, being cleared out within three hours, and then the certification taking place. 0.99

00:21:36.000 Honestly, if our Constitution and our liberty is that fragile, then the problem ain't Donald Trump. 0.99

00:21:40.000 The problem is our institutions.

00:21:41.000 But here's the thing, it isn't that fragile.

00:21:43.000 It isn't remotely close to that fragile.

00:21:44.000 There are a bunch of people in the Oval Office who are passing around dumb memos about what Mike Pence could do to stop the election.

00:21:50.000 None of it was true, and so none of it was effectuated.

00:21:53.000 End of story.

00:21:54.000 This was not a grave threat to democracy.

00:21:56.000 You know, there are other countries where there are grave threats to democracy.

00:21:59.000 Those threats usually include things like disbanding the legislature by the executive branch.

00:22:04.000 Those things usually include military occupations of capitals.

00:22:08.000 Those things usually include laws passed by legislatures that grants ultimate power to the executive branch, essentially removing the legislature from the purview of the entire process.

00:22:18.000 Those things include stacking the Supreme Court or getting rid of the Supreme Court.

00:22:22.000 Look at countries all over the world where democracy has fallen.

00:22:25.000 It includes actual changes to institutions.

00:22:27.000 It does not include a couple of hundred rowdies going into a place and being cleared out by the cops.

00:22:34.000 That's called, like, Most political events that are bad in the United States, that's been happening for quite a while.

00:22:43.000 Again, that is not to downplay the evils of January 6th or the people who committed crimes.

00:22:47.000 That is not to downplay Trump's lies from November 4th to January 6th and some of the stuff that he says today. 1.00

00:22:54.000 What it is to say is that if you are saying that we were like this far away from democracy falling in the United States on January 6th, I don't know what to tell you, you're a moron. 1.00

00:23:01.000 You're stupid. 1.00

00:23:01.000 If you actually believe that we were this close to democracy falling completely on January 6th, that you're a motivated believer or an idiot. 1.00

00:23:10.000 You want to believe it or you're just dumb and you're taken in. 1.00

00:23:15.000 We'll get to more from Angry Joe Biden, animated Joe Biden, in just one second first. 1.00

00:23:19.000 Let's talk about saving gas.

00:24:21.000 All right.

00:24:22.000 So Joe Biden steps to the lectern and he talks about January 6th in very colorful language, some of which actually is is false.

00:24:31.000 Or very least wildly exaggerated.

00:24:33.000 So here he is talking about using your imagination.

00:24:36.000 Use your imagination, folks.

00:24:37.000 Put yourself back on January 6th, the most important day in American history.

00:24:43.000 Close your eyes.

00:24:45.000 Go back to that day.

00:24:47.000 What do you see?

00:24:49.000 Rioters rampaging, waving for the first time inside this Capitol.

00:24:56.000 Confederate flag that symbolized the cause to destroy America.

00:25:01.000 to rip us apart. Even during the Civil War, that never ever happened. But it happened here in 2021.

00:25:12.000 So is he now suggesting that this was like worse than the Civil War?

00:25:20.000 There's a Confederate flag in the Capitol building.

00:25:24.000 That never even happened during the Civil War.

00:25:25.000 Well, I mean, 600,000 Americans did die during the Civil War, so there was that.

00:25:29.000 And there was a massive battlefront that ranged all the way from, like, Texas to Washington, D.C.

00:25:38.000 So, I mean, I feel like that was worse. 0.99

00:25:41.000 But there was one moron carrying a confederate flag in the Capitol building, so I guess we're all supposed to... I guess that's the same, sort of. 0.99

00:25:48.000 By the way, I love that he's like, the fact that there was a confederate flag in the Capitol building, that's never happened even in the Civil War.

00:25:57.000 Until five seconds ago, there was a statue of Jefferson Davis in Statuary Hall where he is speaking right now.

00:26:02.000 They removed it last year.

00:26:04.000 They removed it in 2021.

00:26:07.000 Right, so, um, what? 0.97

00:26:09.000 Okay, but it's just, that idiot waving the Confederate flag in Statuary Hall, well, that means that the Republic was this close to falling because of helmet-horned guy, because of the Wagnerian opera helmet guy. 0.99

00:26:23.000 Again, then he talks about the assaults on police officers, and this kind of stuff really gets my goat. 0.99

00:26:27.000 It really does.

00:26:28.000 You can't spend years, literally years, ripping on the police as systemically racist enforcers of the patriarchal institutions of the United States, seeking to criminalize blackness.

00:26:39.000 The new Jim Crow, as Michelle Alexander puts it, you can't say that police all across the country are emissaries of evil, but then when it suits your purposes, they become heroes again. 0.99

00:26:48.000 That's not the way any of that crap works. 0.98

00:26:50.000 The people who assault police officers across the board should go to jail. 0.99

00:26:53.000 I feel that way.

00:26:54.000 Democrats don't.

00:26:55.000 But here is Joe Biden, all of a sudden, a friend of the police.

00:27:02.000 A crowd that professes their love for law enforcement assaulted those police officers.

00:27:07.000 Dragged them, sprayed them, stomped on them.

00:27:12.000 Over 140 police officers were injured.

00:27:15.000 Can you muster this kind of rage for the 2,000 police officers plus who were injured during the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020?

00:27:19.000 Nope.

00:27:20.000 Can you muster any of that outrage for the police officers who have been wrongly castigated by the press over the course of the last seven years?

00:27:27.000 Because remember, this really started in 2014 with the Ferguson riots.

00:27:31.000 That's really when this started.

00:27:32.000 So going back years and years and years, The Democrats have been wildly anti-police.

00:27:38.000 The attempt now to retcon this into, oh, we found one event where some people who were allied with the right, or felt they were on the right, where those people assaulted police officers, therefore the police are now good.

00:27:49.000 Bring forth the hero police officers.

00:27:51.000 It really is an astonishing thing.

00:27:53.000 It is.

00:27:53.000 They just assume that we have no common sense or memory, that we have the memory of a guppy.

00:28:00.000 He continued along these lines.

00:28:03.000 Police were assaulted.

00:28:05.000 Lives at risk.

00:28:07.000 The nation's capital under siege.

00:28:12.000 This wasn't a group of tourists.

00:28:15.000 This was an armed insurrection.

00:28:18.000 Okay, so for there to be an armed insurrection, usually people need to be armed.

00:28:22.000 This is a general rule.

00:28:23.000 They need to be armed, right?

00:28:24.000 In the term armed insurrection, there needs to be both an insurrection and there needs to be people who are armed.

00:28:29.000 So far as I'm aware, there's not been a single criminal charge brought against people who went into the Capitol building.

00:28:34.000 That's not to say that people weren't being violent.

00:28:36.000 They were.

00:28:38.000 usually implies that you are armed with, you know, like an actual gun, armed with actual dangerous weaponry.

00:28:45.000 I'm not aware that any of the charging documents include a single firearm.

00:28:48.000 If you're going to do an armed insurrection, typically you want to bring a firearm because that's usually the weapon you used in an armed insurrection.

00:28:53.000 Second, an insurrection usually requires an element of planning.

00:28:56.000 Like if you're going to plan an insurrection, you actually have to plan the insurrection.

00:28:59.000 Typically, it's not just a bunch of people who get pissed off and go into a building and do damage to it.

00:29:03.000 That's not an insurrection.

00:29:05.000 Okay, so if you don't believe that Black Lives Matter matter burning storefronts in 2020 was an insurrection, then you really should not believe that this was an insurrection.

00:29:11.000 So it was not an armed insurrection, it was a riot.

00:29:13.000 There is a difference.

00:29:14.000 Okay, riots are bad too.

00:29:15.000 People who riot should go to jail.

00:29:17.000 Armed insurrection is a different thing.

00:29:19.000 When he says armed insurrection, what he means is that his political enemies planned to violate the government.

00:29:24.000 They planned to overthrow the government of the United States.

00:29:26.000 Therefore, I deserve all power.

00:29:28.000 Wartime power.

00:29:30.000 This is something that Democrats routinely invoke.

00:29:32.000 There's a war on poverty.

00:29:34.000 War on climate change.

00:29:36.000 There's a war on whatever they say.

00:29:37.000 War on income inequality.

00:29:39.000 War on racism.

00:29:40.000 There's always a war.

00:29:41.000 Why?

00:29:42.000 Why do Democrats use that language?

00:29:43.000 I mean, aren't they pacifists?

00:29:44.000 The reason they use the language of war is because during wars, you get to invoke wartime powers.

00:29:49.000 And when you invoke authoritarian powers, you get to do whatever the hell you want.

00:29:53.000 So when you say there's an armed insurrection, the natural consequence of that is, I need to be empowered in order to stomp out armed insurrections.

00:30:02.000 I need wartime powers, which is exactly what Joe Biden wants.

00:30:05.000 I have to point out one more thing with regard to his rhetoric on police officers.

00:30:10.000 It really is astonishing.

00:30:12.000 So a little bit later on in the speech, he talks about mourning police officers with Jill in the Capitol Rotunda.

00:30:17.000 And here's what he had to say.

00:30:19.000 Jill and I have mourned police officers in this Capitol Rotunda not once but twice.

00:30:26.000 In the wake of January 6, once to honor Officer Brian Sicknick, who lost his life the day after the attack, and a second time to honor Officer Billy Evans.

00:30:37.000 Who lost his life defending his capital as well.

00:30:39.000 This is such a peculiar move that he's making right now.

00:30:41.000 This is such a peculiar move.

00:30:43.000 So first, Officer Brian Sicknick was not actually killed at the January 6th riot.

00:30:48.000 Originally it was reported that he was struck in the head with a fire extinguisher and then he died as a result of those injuries.

00:30:52.000 That turned out not to be true.

00:30:54.000 It turns out that he died as a result of presumably a heart attack.

00:30:57.000 And he died after January 6th.

00:30:59.000 But put that one aside.

00:31:01.000 Because maybe you could make the medical case that the stress of January 6th induced the heart attack or something.

00:31:06.000 The other guy he mentions there, the other guy he mentions there, Officer Billy Evans, Billy Evans died as a result of an attack at the Capitol building that had nothing to do with January 6th.

00:31:17.000 So lumping the two of them in so they're both results of January 6th is crazy.

00:31:21.000 Do you remember the death of Officer Billy Evans?

00:31:24.000 It didn't become a national issue because the way that the media determined whether a crime story is a national issue or not is by determining whether the victimizer is a person with whom they are politically allied in some sense.

00:31:24.000 I do.

00:31:34.000 If the person is a political enemy, it's a national story.

00:31:37.000 If the person could theoretically be conceived of as a political ally, it's not a national story, it's a local crime story.

00:31:43.000 So Sicknick's death was a national story because January 6th was super duper duper terrible, but Officer Billy Evans's death was not a national story.

00:31:51.000 The reason, by the way, that Joe Biden went to the rotunda for Officer Billy Evans specifically is because he wanted to create the presumption that he was going to do this for all officers.

00:32:01.000 It wasn't just officers who died in the line of duty with some relation to his political enemies.

00:32:05.000 But lumping them in together does precisely the reverse.

00:32:08.000 He's now suggesting that Billy Evans died as a result of January 6th.

00:32:11.000 That's not what happened.

00:32:13.000 Here's the actual story.

00:32:14.000 Billy Evans died In April.

00:32:16.000 He died in April of 2021 when he was struck by a car.

00:32:21.000 Who exactly was driving that car?

00:32:24.000 A 25-year-old black nationalist who espoused viewpoints consummate with the Nation of Islam.

00:32:34.000 So, um, what, why is he being lumped into this?

00:32:37.000 What does he have to do with January 6th?

00:32:39.000 He doesn't.

00:32:39.000 He has nothing to do with January 6th.

00:32:41.000 But if you can look, I mean, they're just willing to do anything.

00:32:43.000 They're willing to lump anyone together.

00:32:44.000 They have to do in order to, in order to get where they want to go.

00:32:47.000 It really is pretty incredible.

00:32:48.000 Okay.

00:32:49.000 In a second, we're going to get to Joe Biden's attack on the Republican party.

00:32:52.000 Because again, the idea here is that January 6th is not a criminal act carried out by people who are now paying criminal penalties.

00:32:59.000 From a year ago.

00:33:01.000 No, January 6th is an ongoing trauma.

00:33:03.000 It's an ongoing wound.

00:33:04.000 It's a bleeding abscess.

00:33:06.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.

00:33:07.000 First, health insurance, as we all know, can get very expensive and very complicated very quickly.

00:33:13.000 For a lot of people in the United States concerned about the cost of health insurance, there aren't any good options.

00:33:17.000 Either go out on your own with no safety net, or you pay through the nose for a high deductible plan that doesn't kick in until you have spent thousands of bucks.

00:33:23.000 That is because we have a broken health insurance system in this country.

00:33:27.000 Thanks to Obamacare and thanks to a lot of bad governmental decisions over the course of decades.

00:33:30.000 What if I told you, you don't necessarily need health insurance, you deserve healthcare freedom?

00:33:34.000 Introducing CrowdHealth.

00:33:36.000 CrowdHealth is not health insurance.

00:33:37.000 It's a community of people who care about their health, healthcare freedom, and each other.

00:34:30.000 Check them out today.

00:34:32.000 CrowdHealth.

00:34:32.000 Alrighty, so then Joe Biden got to his real point.

00:34:36.000 His real point is that everyone who disagrees with him politically is complicit in January 6th.

00:34:40.000 So he says, sure, there are some courageous men and women in the Republican Party who stood up to Donald Trump.

00:34:46.000 Here's Liz Cheney and here's Dick Cheney.

00:34:47.000 Dick Cheney showed up at the Capitol building yesterday to support his daughter Liz.

00:34:52.000 And suddenly Democrats love him.

00:34:54.000 Whenever you are being treated with quote-unquote strange new respect, You should have a second thought.

00:35:01.000 You might think, hmm, why are all these people who hate everything about them?

00:35:04.000 They literally made a movie about the evils of Dick Cheney called Vice by Adam McKay, who is one of the most overrated filmmakers in Hollywood.

00:35:11.000 Dick Cheney was Darth Vader.

00:35:13.000 He was the Bugaboo of the left.

00:35:14.000 And suddenly, he's a hero of the Republic.

00:35:17.000 Amazing how that works.

00:35:18.000 Almost as though they will use whatever object is available to clock whoever is in power now.

00:35:23.000 Okay, so here was Joe Biden trying to lump in the entire Republican Party.

00:35:28.000 Not just with Trump, but more broadly with January 6th.

00:35:32.000 Well, some courageous men and women in the Republican Party are standing against it, trying to uphold the principle of that party.

00:35:40.000 Too many others are transforming that party into something else.

00:35:44.000 They seem no longer to want to be the party, the party of Lincoln.

00:35:49.000 Eisenhower, Reagan, the Bushes.

00:35:52.000 Okay, can we stop pretending that these people loved the party of Lincoln, Reagan, Eisenhower, the Bushes?

00:35:57.000 They hated all those people.

00:35:57.000 I mean, George W. Bush was Bush-Hitler.

00:36:00.000 George W. Bush was an illegitimate president, according to the Democrats, because of 2000.

00:36:04.000 George W. Bush was a warmonger who led us into a Bush lied, people died.

00:36:10.000 I mean, it is so tiresome, it is so tiresome to hear Democrats proclaim the virtues of people they hated until 30 seconds ago, when those people became much more convenient to them.

00:36:21.000 And I will say, I'll say this about Dick Cheney or the Bushes, I have a lot of fondness for some of these people from the Bush administration.

00:36:28.000 I do, because I remember defending a lot of their actions during the Bush administration.

00:36:32.000 Hey, but, but, if you spend your entire post-political career saying nothing when Democrats run roughshod across everything that you held dear, and then you can only be found to speak to a camera, as soon as something bad happens from the Republican side of the aisle, I have some questions.

00:36:48.000 Consistency, folks.

00:36:49.000 A little bit of consistency.

00:36:51.000 If you couldn't be found anywhere during the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, if you couldn't be found anywhere during the Russia collusion stuff, if you couldn't be found anywhere while the Democrats are trying to ram through authoritarian COVID measures, you can't be found anywhere defending many of the people who supported you, but you can be dredged up in order to do a January 6th Extravaganza.

00:37:13.000 On behalf of Nancy Pelosi and the cast of Hamilton, I have some questions about the people that are hanging out within your priorities.

00:37:18.000 Really, I may agree with some of the stuff they even say, but I have some real questions about your sense of loyalty to the people who got you where you are.

00:37:28.000 Are we going to be a nation that accepts political violence as a norm?

00:37:30.000 And then he gets into, again, the double standards here are just, they are mind boggling.

00:37:34.000 And they're, they're maddening.

00:37:35.000 They're maddening.

00:37:36.000 So Joe Biden starts talking about the higher standards of America that he supposedly hold. 0.99

00:37:40.000 And every line here, it's like, buy yourself a mirror, Joe, please, for the love of God, look in a mirror, get your party a damned mirror, sir. 0.99

00:37:47.000 Here we go. 0.98

00:37:48.000 Are we going to be a nation that accepts political violence as a norm?

00:37:54.000 Are we going to be a nation where we allow partisan election officials to overturn the legally expressed will of the people?

00:38:03.000 Are we going to be a nation that lives not by the light of the truth, but in the shadow of lies?

00:38:11.000 We cannot allow ourselves to be that kind of nation.

00:38:14.000 Okay, so I have many, many, many questions for the Democratic Party.

00:38:19.000 Are we going to be a nation that accepts political violence as a norm?

00:38:21.000 Says Joe Biden.

00:38:22.000 Oh, I don't know.

00:38:23.000 Did your vice president literally attempt to bail out rioters a year ago?

00:38:29.000 I feel like that happened because I was there.

00:38:31.000 That was a year and a half ago.

00:38:33.000 Where were you during the Black Lives Matter riots, Joe Biden?

00:38:37.000 Except political violence is a norm.

00:38:39.000 I mean, honest to God, these people, it's unbelievable.

00:38:43.000 They just are going to 1984 your memories out of existence. 0.99

00:38:46.000 They're just going to memory hole all this crap.

00:38:49.000 Anything bad that happened on their side, until now, until January 6th, did you know there had been no acceptance of political violence as a norm? 0.96

00:38:55.000 Did you know that that didn't exist?

00:38:57.000 It was only Trump.

00:38:58.000 It wasn't Maxine Waters saying you should get up in people's faces or calling the LA riots the LA uprising in 1993-1994.

00:39:03.000 It wasn't Democrats poo-pooing massive rioting across the country in 2020 saying it was mostly peaceful.

00:39:12.000 It wasn't Democrats ignoring the violence in Portland that went on for months and months and months.

00:39:17.000 And when Donald Trump sent federal troops in to try and stop that by protecting federal buildings, they called him a fascist. 0.97

00:39:24.000 I remember that stuff because I'm not an idiot. 0.99

00:39:25.000 I have a functional brain. 0.96

00:39:27.000 But some of these people apparently think that they can just get away with saying that the only people who have normed political violence are people on the right.

00:39:33.000 It's crazy.

00:39:34.000 And it's wild.

00:39:35.000 And then he said, are we going to be a nation where we allow partisan election officials to overturn the legally expressed will of, I don't know, didn't you guys claim that Stacey Abrams is still the governor of Georgia?

00:39:45.000 Aren't you currently engaged in redistricting that is far more beneficial to Democrats than Republican redistricting has been to Republicans?

00:39:52.000 Are we going to be a nation that lives not by the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies?

00:39:56.000 Okay, I have no words for this.

00:39:58.000 From the Biden administration, which lies as a matter of routine, they do it over and Afghanistan was a months-long lie from, don't worry, the government won't collapse, it'll be fine, to, we always knew the government was going to collapse, and it'll still be fine, to, we're not allying in any way with, like, Al-Qaeda has gone from the country to, don't worry, our soldiers are safe, to, don't worry, we're evacuating people in the most brilliant evacuation since Dunkirk.

00:40:24.000 All they do is lie. 0.99

00:40:26.000 Shadow of lies, my ass. 1.00

00:40:28.000 We can't allow ourselves to be that kind of nation. 1.00

00:40:30.000 We, I'm sorry, like, we, too late.

00:40:35.000 You made it happen, Joe Biden.

00:40:36.000 You've been in office since 1831.

00:40:40.000 And then he gets to the same point as Kamala Harris.

00:40:41.000 It just takes him longer to get there.

00:40:43.000 His new point is, you have to let us completely rewrite election law in the United States in order to save democracy.

00:40:48.000 We have to wreck democracy by federalizing all election procedure under the auspices of people Joe Biden likes.

00:40:54.000 Right now, in state after state, new laws are being written, not to protect the vote, but to deny it.

00:41:05.000 Not only to suppress the vote, but to subvert it.

00:41:09.000 Not to strengthen or protect our democracy, but because the former president lost, instead of looking at the election results from 2020 and saying they need new ideas or better ideas to win more votes, the former president and his supporters have decided the only way for them to win is to suppress your vote and subvert our elections.

00:41:34.000 It's wrong.

00:41:36.000 It's undemocratic.

00:41:38.000 And frankly, it's un-American. 0.98

00:41:40.000 Okay, I mean, this is the same schtick that this schmuck was trotting out with regard to the Georgia law, which he called a new form of Jim Crow. 0.97

00:41:46.000 So no, I don't believe you. 0.90

00:41:48.000 I also don't believe that you care very much about election integrity when you spend literally a year talking about how all of the emergency protocols taken during COVID ought to be made the new normal.

00:41:59.000 We ought to be sending absentee ballots to every household in the nation.

00:42:01.000 We ought to be having Democratic employees engaged in ballot harvesting, going door-to-door to Democratic registered voters and picking up their ballots. 0.91

00:42:09.000 We ought to get rid of voter ID everywhere across the country.

00:42:12.000 We ought to federalize all election procedures that states have no say in it whatsoever.

00:42:16.000 You know, I don't believe that you care about election integrity.

00:42:18.000 I believe that you want to rig the rules.

00:42:21.000 Because you do.

00:42:23.000 I mean, the Democrats won't even get together with the Republicans to reform the Electoral Count Act.

00:42:27.000 If you are worried about people, quote-unquote, stealing federal elections, the Electoral Count Act, which led to the vagary of some people wrongly believing that the Vice President and that the Congress had the ability to throw out state-certified votes, If you believe that that's a problem, then there have been a bunch of Republicans, including mainstream right-wing Republicans, who have called for a revision of the Electoral Counts Act to clarify how that procedure works.

00:42:50.000 You know what Democrats have done?

00:42:51.000 We're not going to do it.

00:42:51.000 They said, not enough.

00:42:52.000 We're not going to revise the Electoral Counts Act because you don't care.

00:42:55.000 You don't care.

00:42:56.000 What you really care about is rigging the rules for yourself.

00:42:58.000 He'll get to the conclusion of Joe Biden's speech in just one moment, then we'll get to some of the other Democrats sounding off on January 6th.

00:43:05.000 First, 2020, it's gonna be a big year for a lot of businesses.

00:43:08.000 We hope, we pray.

00:43:09.000 Some industries are projected to grow even more this year, like fitness.

00:43:12.000 It's expected to explode.

00:43:14.000 Home improvement, renovation, decoration, digital events and conferences.

00:44:13.000 Alrighty, we'll get to more in just one second.

00:44:15.000 It is that glorious time of the week when I give a shout out to a Dailyware member.

00:44:17.000 Today, the lucky person is Jonathan Rivera on Instagram, who understands proper equine care.

00:44:23.000 In this picture, Jonathan is standing next to a handsome steed that appears to be attempting a swig from the world's greatest beverage vessel.

00:44:30.000 The caption reads, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make a drink.

00:44:33.000 Unless it is the sweet tears from a superior drinking vessel.

00:44:36.000 After a night of patrol, it's nice to know I can still get the caffeine I need to handle a four-year-old thoroughbred like my buddy Liam.

00:44:41.000 At close to a thousand pounds, he's quite literally Ben's biggest fan.

00:44:44.000 Hashtag leftist tear stumbler.

00:44:45.000 That is awesome and better than Yellowstone.

00:44:48.000 Glad to know you're both out there keeping the Jersey streets safe.

00:44:51.000 Thanks for the pic and thanks for being a Daily Wire member.

00:44:53.000 Also, today It is a big day for The Daily Wire.

00:44:56.000 It's a huge day for America.

00:44:58.000 The Supreme Court is currently, like as of right now, hearing oral arguments on Joe Biden's unconstitutional authoritarian VAX mandate.

00:45:05.000 Okay, right now we have over a million signatures on our Do Not Comply petition, but today we want to boost that.

00:45:10.000 Like, today's a great day to boost it.

00:45:11.000 Head on over to dailywire.com slash do not comply right now.

00:45:14.000 We're counting on you to help us put a stop to this absolutely disgusting, tyrannical federal overage.

00:45:19.000 Go check them out right now.

00:45:20.000 you're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:45:24.000 All righty, so finally Joe Biden concludes with his statement.

00:45:33.000 He is going to stand at the door of democracy and block it from the dagger that's there.

00:45:39.000 You're going to have to prize democracy for my cold, lifeless... Here's Joe Biden.

00:45:48.000 Believe me.

00:45:49.000 No.

00:45:49.000 I know how difficult democracy is.

00:45:51.000 I don't believe you.

00:45:52.000 And I'm crystal clear about the threats that America faces.

00:45:59.000 But I also know that our darkest days can lead to light and hope.

00:46:06.000 From the death and destruction, as the Vice President referenced in Pearl Harbor, came the triumph over the forces of fascism.

00:46:14.000 From the brutality of Bloody Sunday and the Edmund Pettus Bridge came historic voting rights legislation.

00:46:22.000 So now let's step up.

00:46:24.000 Write the next chapter in American history.

00:46:27.000 We're January 6th marks not the end of democracy, but the beginning of a renaissance of liberty and fair play.

00:46:37.000 I did not seek this fight brought to this Capitol one year ago today, but I will not shrink from it either.

00:46:47.000 I will stand in this breach.

00:46:49.000 I will defend this nation, not allow no one to place a dagger at the throat of democracy.

00:46:57.000 Um, okay, so he's really comparing January 6th to the Edmund Pettus Bridge?

00:47:01.000 You mean, you know, like a protest that the literal authorities sicked dogs on people who were protesting a century of Jim Crow?

00:47:09.000 That's the same thing as January 6th?

00:47:11.000 Or comparing it to Pearl Harbor?

00:47:14.000 Because it's just like Pearl Harbor, when 2,300 Americans died.

00:47:18.000 Or alternatively, you just want what you want, and this is your excuse.

00:47:20.000 My favorite part of this is that Joe Biden was asked, after his ridiculous speech, about why he had not used Donald Trump's name, right?

00:47:26.000 He kept avoiding Trump's name.

00:47:27.000 He kept saying the former president this, and the former president that.

00:47:30.000 His answer is just, it's one for the ages.

00:47:31.000 Here was Joe Biden's answer to that question.

00:47:33.000 It's not about whether I'm president or she's vice president.

00:47:37.000 It's about the system, and about somebody who decides to put himself above everything.

00:47:44.000 And so, but I did not want to turn it into a contemporary political battle between me and the president.

00:47:56.000 It's way beyond that.

00:47:58.000 He didn't want to turn it into a contemporary political battle.

00:48:00.000 Really, that is literally the only thing that they are doing yesterday.

00:48:03.000 It's the whole point of the exercise is to turn it into a contemporary political battle.

00:48:07.000 That's why you do a memorial for January 6th.

00:48:09.000 That's why you do all these commemorative editions, CNN specials, and all of this kind of stuff.

00:48:14.000 That's why you do it.

00:48:15.000 The whole point of it is this.

00:48:17.000 You know what the real point of this is?

00:48:18.000 The real point is that non-farm job estimates came in 200,000 jobs below what they were supposed to this month.

00:48:25.000 That's the real story.

00:48:27.000 Okay, the actual Democratic, the December jobs report came in adding 199,000 jobs against expectations of 422,000 jobs.

00:48:36.000 That's the real story under Joe Biden, not that he's standing preventing the dagger from entering the throat of democracy or some such self-serving bull bleep.

00:48:44.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here later today with an additional hour of content.
