00:00:00.000 A lot of people are very, very, very upset with the UFC fight that happened on the White House lawn.
00:00:04.000 Trump is besmirching an iconic American symbol.
00:00:07.000 The South lawn must be pristine.
00:00:09.000 Now, the truth is the Democrats' dyspepsia over the whole thing is linked to their party's serious patriotism problem.
00:00:15.000 See all the fireworks and the motorbikes?
00:00:16.000 Those are classic Trump and they're classic Americana.
00:00:19.000 It's all a hell of a lot better than what the White House looked like when it was Joe Biden there.
00:00:23.000 Here, for example, was the UFC AI promo for the White House event featuring AI Teddy Roosevelt.
00:00:28.000 I kind of love this.
00:00:29.000 I mean, come on.
00:00:32.000 But the landmark event we're witnessing tonight is not entirely without precedent.
00:00:37.000 At the dawn of the 20th century, America's Commander-in-Chief, Theodore Roosevelt, brought flight sports to the White House.
00:00:45.000 He often invited boxers, wrestlers, and martial artists, but not for entertainment or exhibition.
00:00:52.000 They were summoned here to spar with the president.
00:00:58.000 Roosevelt said, a nation that cannot fight is not worth its salt.
00:01:04.000 So he trained like a fighter throughout his presidency, leading by example, living what he called the strenuous life.
00:01:12.000 Not everyone likes the idea of fights at the White House.
00:01:15.000 But as Teddy Roosevelt famously said, it is not the critic who counts.
00:01:21.000 The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, who at best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, The police fails of daring greatly.
00:01:37.000 Okay, come on.
00:01:37.000 That's just enjoyable.
00:01:38.000 That's just enjoyable.
00:01:39.000 Okay, and then over the weekend, they had the UFC, you know, they arrived.
00:01:45.000 The UFC White House stage, you can see it is like enormous.
00:01:48.000 I mean, they built this thing.
00:01:49.000 It is a giant structure, obviously.
00:01:51.000 Here's what it looked like.
00:01:52.000 Yeah, look at that thing.
00:01:54.000 That is a monster structure on the lawn of the White House.
00:01:56.000 Holds several thousand people, is my understanding.
00:02:01.000 And then there was a weigh in that took place at the White House, and a bald eagle was flying overhead.
00:02:06.000 Again, this is.
00:02:08.000 I'm kind of into it.
00:02:09.000 Like, really, it's kind of great.
00:02:14.000 Come on, we're losing bald eagles to fly over giant crowds that weigh into the White House.
00:02:17.000 Kind of fun.
00:02:20.000 I understand that a lot of people have scorn for this sort of thing.
00:02:22.000 They prefer a different sort of display at the White House, which we'll get to in a moment.
00:02:28.000 But it turns out lots of Americans like UFC.
00:02:29.000 Lots of Americans also like motorcycles.
00:02:32.000 It's okay.
00:02:33.000 We're allowed to like motorcycles.
00:02:35.000 My sons would be thrilled at this.
00:02:36.000 Here's some motocross jumpers with the American flag.
00:02:44.000 Like flying over the fountain at the White House.
00:02:49.000 Fireworks and everything.
00:02:55.000 Okay.
00:02:55.000 I kind of into it.
00:02:57.000 And then, of course, the president and Dana White walked out together to the sound of a trumpet fanfare.
00:03:19.000 Okay, so again, listen, it's the part of the thing that's very funny about this is there was no one who was more in love with sort of the pomp and circumstance of the presidency than Barack Obama.
00:03:29.000 And everyone was just, no, it was fine.
00:03:31.000 It was great.
00:03:31.000 He was at the NCAA tournament and he was constantly going to big events and he would do speeches where he came out flanked by gigantic Greek columns and all the rest of it.
00:03:40.000 Obama doing a little bit of this stuff with the American flag is fun.
00:03:44.000 I'm kind of into it.
00:03:45.000 And I will say it is a hell of a lot better than what the White House looked like under Joe Biden.
00:03:48.000 I mean, you might remember the same lawn under Joe Biden on this is.
00:03:52.000 This is indeed Pride Month, right?
00:03:54.000 It's June.
00:03:55.000 But under Trump, it's American Pride. 0.98
00:03:56.000 And under Joe Biden, it was transgender pride, including men with fake breasts jiggling those breasts bare chested at the White House, just as Teddy Roosevelt would have wanted. 0.98
00:04:07.000 We take a little video. 0.97
00:04:08.000 Hi, Mr. President.
00:04:09.000 It is an honor of fans' rights and human rights.
00:04:13.000 That is a man dressed as a woman taking a picture of the president.
00:04:17.000 And then it was time for some topless boob jiggling. 0.97
00:04:24.000 Yep. 0.99
00:04:25.000 This was okay with Democrats.
00:04:27.000 This stuff was fine with Democrats at the White House.
00:04:31.000 And there it is.
00:04:33.000 There it is at the White House.
00:04:38.000 That was fine with Democrats at the White House.
00:04:40.000 Hunter Biden, however, found all of this wildly inappropriate and upsetting.
00:04:44.000 I mean, and if someone knows inappropriate and upsetting, it is Parmesan cheese, off the carpet, cocaine guy, seven hookers at a time, on his laptop guy.
00:04:53.000 He knows what is appropriate at the White House.
00:04:57.000 I like UFC.
00:05:00.000 I mean, I like watching it.
00:05:02.000 They ruin it.
00:05:03.000 They ruin it.
00:05:04.000 It makes it hard.
00:05:05.000 Now, do you know what I mean?
00:05:06.000 It literally does because everybody's got to choose a side. 0.92
00:05:08.000 They have to put it on the goddamn South Lawn and then in the midst of the 250th anniversary. 0.91
00:05:13.000 I mean, I can't understand why Dana White, I don't have anything against Dana White, but what the man? 0.98
00:05:18.000 Like, it's your brand.
00:05:20.000 Like, how are you doing this?
00:05:22.000 How are you doing this?
00:05:23.000 How is this appropriate?
00:05:25.000 So 100 years ago, if you wanted to sell something, you needed a storefront.
00:05:28.000 50 years ago, you needed a warehouse.
00:05:29.000 20 years ago, you needed a team of developers.
00:05:31.000 Today, You can be sitting at your kitchen table with a laptop and an idea.
00:05:34.000 That's it.
00:05:36.000 You can design products, market products, sell products, ship products, build an actual business from almost anywhere.
00:05:40.000 The challenge isn't opportunity anymore.
00:05:42.000 The challenge is execution.
00:05:44.000 And that's why Shopify has become the e commerce platform behind millions of businesses around the world and 10% of all e commerce in the United States.
00:05:51.000 Think about everything that goes into running a business building a website, managing inventory, processing payments, marketing, analytics, customer communication, international shipping, returns.
00:05:59.000 It's a lot.
00:06:00.000 Shopify puts all of it in one place.

00:06:25.000 That's shopify.comslash Shapiro.
00:06:30.000 Well, I mean, that guy knows appropriate.
00:06:33.000 It's like getting marital advice from OJ Simpson here.
00:06:33.000 That guy knows appropriate.
00:06:37.000 Abigail Spanberger. Also, says that a UFC fight at the White House, it's a sad lesson for our kids.
00:06:42.000 Oh, man, this is where we drag out the kids.
00:06:44.000 It's a sad lesson.
00:06:45.000 If we have a fight at the White House and motorcycles and American flags, that's a sad lesson for our kids. 1.00
00:06:49.000 The best lessons for our kids are the ones where you say that they can become members of the opposite sex. 1.00
00:06:53.000 Those are like the best lessons for our kids. 1.00
00:06:55.000 Those are the ones we need.
00:06:58.000 People looked at the United States with reverence, with gratitude, because of our history of being a stable actor, a loyal partner.
00:07:09.000 And the place where, like, And this is the 250th year, right, since our Declaration of Independence.
00:07:16.000 An example for the rest of the world on what is possible when you build a nation based on ideas.
00:07:21.000 And so the reality that there's going to be a UFC fight at the White House to celebrate our 250th, it's a disconnect for me that I just think is a sad lesson for our kid.
00:07:36.000 It's a sad lesson.
00:07:36.000 It is.
00:07:37.000 I mean, people fighting at the White House, what you really need is people receiving oral sex in the Oval Office of the White House to really restore honor to the White House. 0.98
00:07:46.000 Jimmy Kimmel weighed in with a bad joke. 0.97
00:07:48.000 I mean, what would a day be without a Jimmy Kimmel?
00:07:51.000 Bad joke.
00:07:51.000 Well, a better day, but those days are uncommon.
00:07:56.000 Right now, there's a 46% chance of rain in Washington on Sunday.
00:08:00.000 The UFC CEO, Dana White, said the fight will go on even if lightning strikes, which if God wanted the White House to be struck by lightning, that would have happened 18 months ago.
00:08:11.000 So I think they're pretty safe.
00:08:12.000 In preparation for the party, Trump has been renovating the White House and the neighborhood around it.
00:08:17.000 This, right now, is the current state of our nation's capital.
00:08:20.000 You can see there it is, the awful tower, which now has a UFC octagon in front of it.
00:08:26.000 It has eight sides, one for each year of our lives the president has ruined.
00:08:30.000 It is sponsored by Monster Energy Drink.
00:08:34.000 And could there be a better metaphor for this administration than a giant Monster Energy logo on the White House lawn? 0.99
00:08:42.000 Well, I mean, could there be a better logo for the Democrats than a topless transgender woman jiggling his boobs? 0.99
00:08:51.000 And we all have the things that we find offensive. 0.99
00:08:54.000 MS Now, of course, is very upset that President Trump is, quote unquote, using taxpayer dollars to throw himself a birthday party.
00:08:59.000 Again, I noticed that there are a lot of other people at that party, actually.
00:09:03.000 This all feels absolutely absurd.
00:09:05.000 It feels absurd to see this happening.
00:09:07.000 It feels absurd for the timing of it happening, but we know Trump loves to use taxpayer dollars to throw himself a birthday party, just like he did last year with the military parade, which very few people attended.
00:09:19.000 I'm looking at this UFC event, though, and all I see is dollar signs, sorry.
00:09:23.000 Not just the corporate sponsors you mentioned in Trump's stakes at UFC, or the fact that I believe one of the crypto funds that is sponsoring this event has ties to one of Trump's sons as an advisor as well.
00:09:37.000 So, yeah, again, I think that the, let's put this way, the outsized heartburn the Democrats are suffering from this sort of stuff is connected in general to a sort of anti patriotism.
00:09:48.000 There's a brand new pullout from NBC News.
00:09:51.000 How proud are you to be an American overall?
00:09:53.000 Extremely and varied by party.
00:09:55.000 GOP, 90% of Republicans are extremely or very proud to be American.
00:10:00.000 Democrats, 29%, three in 10.
00:10:03.000 By age, 75% of people over 65 are very proud to be American.
00:10:07.000 Only 36% of people aged 18 to 34 are.
00:10:10.000 Well, that is a bit of a crisis for our country.
00:10:12.000 See, here's the thing it should not be dependent on who the president is, whether you're proud of the country.
00:10:15.000 Joe Biden was president less than two years ago.
00:10:18.000 And I got to say, I was still very proud of the country.
00:10:20.000 I wasn't proud of him.
00:10:22.000 I thought he was a bad president, but I was proud of us as a country because we're a great country.
00:10:27.000 Democrats seem to have a very difficult time with this.
00:10:29.000 What an amazing video you just watched.
00:10:31.000 Wasn't that amazing?
