Summary

Ben Shapiro explains why there are no good days left for the Joe Biden 2020 campaign and why the media have lost all credibility in the eyes of the American public, and why you will never believe anyone in the Biden campaign again when they say that Joe Biden is fit for the presidency. Ben also explains why a vote for Joe Biden in 2020 is a vote against Kamala Harris and why there is no good day left for him on this campaign. And finally, Ben explains why the Russiagate and Black Lives Matter cover-up is worse than the crime, and how the media will continue to promote a lie even after it is proven false. 00:00:42.000 Join us as we fight the left and build the future.
00:00:44.000 Okay, so as I say, Joe Biden, no good days left for him on this campaign.
00:00:49.000 The only good thing that could happen to Joe Biden in this campaign is something bad happening to Donald Trump, but there is no capacity for Joe Biden to develop an independently good campaign.
00:00:59.000 It's not possible anymore.
00:01:01.000 Why?
00:01:01.000 Because it turns out that, as always in politics, the cover-up is worse than the crime.
00:01:06.000 We all knew for years that Joe Biden was in a state of mental and physical decline.
00:01:11.000 We all saw it right in front of us, and we were lied to.
00:01:14.000 We were lied to by everyone in the Biden family.
00:01:16.000 We were lied to by everyone in the White House.
00:01:18.000 We were lied to by everyone in the media.
00:01:20.000 They kept telling us it was all in our head, that it was all cheap fakes, that it was all nonsense, and that Joe Biden, behind closed doors, he was doing Chess preparation with Bobby Fischer and that he was doing quadratic equations and underwater, upside down, Parcheesi with Albert Einstein.
00:01:38.000 I mean, like, it was insane.
00:01:40.000 We were told that over and over and over.
00:01:41.000 And then Joe Biden went out and he s*** the bed in an extraordinary way during that debate with Donald Trump in a way that no one expected.
00:01:50.000 And frankly, no one has ever seen in the history of American presidential politics.
00:01:55.000 So that means that all credibility is gone.
00:01:58.000 In order for you to advance an argument, you have to have the credibility to advance that particular argument.
00:02:02.000 Are you ever going to believe anyone in Biden land again when they say that Joe Biden is fit for the presidency?
00:02:07.000 There's no possible way, especially when the DOJ dominated by Joe Biden is refusing to turn over the six hour tape of Joe Biden being interviewed by Special Prosecutor Robert Herr.
00:02:16.000 They keep that tape away from you because they know that it will show the exact same thing that you saw in that debate.
00:02:22.000 So that means you're not going to believe anyone in the Biden campaign when they say that Joe Biden is fit for the presidency.
00:02:27.000 Remember, the case for Joe Biden being in the presidency is not the case for him being in the presidency today, which is a shaky case as it is.
00:02:34.000 It is a case for him being in the presidency in five years, in five years, when he is 86 years old.
00:02:42.000 The high likelihood is he certainly will not be sentient and he may very likely not be alive by that point.
00:02:48.000 So a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for Kamala Harris and we all know it.
00:02:51.000 The media have no credibility on these issues anymore.
00:02:55.000 If you thought they'd not blown out their credibility over the Russiagate hoax, or over BLM, or over the 2020 COVID coverage, they've certainly blown their credibility over the most obvious lie they have ever told.
00:03:07.000 Ever.
00:03:08.000 And they told a lot of lies during my lifetime.
00:03:10.000 They told the lie that Bill Clinton was an upright citizen who never would shtup his employees.
00:03:15.000 They told us the lie, obviously, during COVID, that you had to stay in your homes ad infinitum, indefinitely, in order to protect everybody around you.
00:03:24.000 They told us the lie that if you're rioting for BLM during that lockdown, that somehow the virus was non-contagious, right?
00:03:30.000 They've told lots of lies, but all of those lies remain bizarrely somewhat arguable in the public mind.
00:03:36.000 The media have such extraordinary power in the American body politic that they can promote a lie, and even after the lie is debunked, they can continue to promote the lie.
00:03:43.000 So for example, when Michael Brown was shot in Ferguson, Missouri, It became perfectly obvious from both the local investigation and the federal investigation that he was shot justifiably by a cop.
00:03:53.000 Today, today, in 2024, a decade later, Democrats will still tell you that Michael Brown was a martyr of BLM.
00:04:00.000 And there's a huge percentage of the population that still believes that nonsense.
00:04:03.000 In other words, just because the lie is a lie doesn't mean that the debunking of the lie takes hold in the public imagination.
00:04:09.000 There are lots of cases like this.
00:04:11.000 There's a good article over at the Free Press today about the murder of Matthew Shepard.
00:04:15.000 You remember that case?
00:04:17.000 Became the basis for the so-called Laramie Project.
00:04:19.000 It was the basis for a huge push in the gay rights movement because there was a gay guy in Montana and he was killed.
00:04:27.000 And the idea was that he was killed in a hate crime, and it turns out that probably not.
00:04:29.000 He was probably killed in a drug deal gone bad.
00:04:31.000 That thing was debunked within the first two years.
00:04:33.000 It is still the going story about Matthew Shepard 25 years later.
00:04:36.000 But there's one thing that you cannot lie about and retain any credibility at all.
00:04:41.000 And that is the thing right in front of your face.
00:04:44.000 The case that is being made about Joe Biden right now is a thing we all saw, all of us.
00:04:49.000 This is like lying about the sun coming out in the morning.
00:04:52.000 This is like lying about the sky being blue.
00:04:54.000 There's no two perspectives on this.
00:04:56.000 Joe Biden has dementia.
00:04:58.000 He is addled.
00:04:59.000 We all saw it.
00:05:00.000 That means that Joe Biden, every clip of him from here until the election that shows him doddering around, there'll be a lot of them, is going to be fodder for the American body politic.
00:05:11.000 And no amount of denial, no amount of, it's cheap fakes, it's out of context, is going to make us believe that anymore because we all saw it live for 90 minutes.
00:05:20.000 It is a full-scale disaster.
00:05:21.000 It is perfectly obvious to everyone.
00:05:22.000 The lies in the media just are not going to work anymore because we saw the thing.
00:05:26.000 That's not going to stop the media from lying.
00:05:27.000 So, for example, the cost of living in the United States is up almost 20% from when Joe Biden took office.
00:05:32.000 Everybody's feeling the burden, but the media are trying to lie about that too.
00:05:34.000 But here's the thing.
00:05:35.000 We all know that they're lying about the thing.
00:05:38.000 A recent Business Insider article keeps saying Americans are to blame for the dumpster fire economy because of our bad perception or something.
00:05:44.000 Well, here's the thing.
00:05:45.000 They're lying.
00:05:46.000 So let me help you find ways to save money in this bad economic climate.
00:05:49.000 One way to do that, switch on over to PeerTalk.
00:05:51.000 If you're one of many American families looking to cut down on your monthly bills, you need to start with your cell phone service.
00:05:56.000 I recommend PeerTalk because it's both affordable and reliable.
00:05:59.000 PeerTalk is rapidly becoming the wireless company of choice for conservatives.
00:06:01.000 Plus, it's great for families because the more lines you add, the more you save.
00:06:05.000 Not to mention, PeerTalk is veteran-led.
00:06:07.000 Instead of funding DEI initiatives, they fund basic services for vets who have served the country.
00:06:11.000 100% of their customer service team is located right here in the United States.
00:06:14.000 If you're looking for ways to save money for your family, I highly recommend switching on over to PeerTalk.
00:06:18.000 Visit puretalk.com slash Shapiro to explore their offers.
00:06:21.000 When you make the switch, you'll get an additional 50% off your very first month of service.
00:06:24.000 Visit puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:06:26.000 Upgrade your cell phone service to America's most dependable 5G network.
00:06:28.000 Save an extra 50% off your first month.
00:06:30.000 Puretalk.com slash Shapiro today.
00:06:33.000 So over the weekend, on the Twitters, tape was being passed around of Joe Biden 2019 versus Joe Biden 2024.
00:06:39.000 Now again, Joe Biden 2019 was diminished.
00:06:40.000 Now, again, Joe Biden 2019 was diminished.
00:06:43.000 Joe Biden 2019 was not even Joe Biden in 2015.
00:06:48.000 But here is tape of Joe Biden 2019 versus Joe Biden 2024.
00:06:52.000 And the contrast is absolutely astonishing.
00:06:56.000 I continue to think we have to make fundamental changes in civil rights.
00:06:59.000 And those civil rights, by the way, include not just only African-Americans, but the LGBT community.
00:07:05.000 He wants to get rid of the ability of Medicare for the I did not oppose busing in America.
00:07:15.000 What I opposed is busing ordered by the Department of Education.
00:07:20.000 That's what I opposed.
00:07:21.000 Making sure that we're able to make every single solitary person eligible for what I've been able to do with the COVID, excuse me, with dealing with everything we have to do with, look, if Folks, it's right in front of your eyes.
00:07:44.000 So that's the big issue.
00:07:46.000 You want to know why many members of the media are acting with outsized outrage and horror today?
00:07:51.000 It's a thing that we all knew.
00:07:52.000 The answer is because they got completely pantsed by Joe Biden.
00:07:54.000 They're angry at Joe Biden for pantsing them.
00:07:56.000 They figured that they could maintain this lie and Joe Biden's behavior would not fully expose the lie until it was too late for the American people to do anything about it.
00:08:03.000 Everyone in Democrat land knew that Joe Biden was diminished.
00:08:06.000 The entire media knew he was diminished.
00:08:09.000 Everyone in the White House knew he was diminished.
00:08:11.000 But they figured, okay, we can somehow pull the wool over America's eyes.
00:08:16.000 We can shoot him full of whatever we shoot him full of before the State of the Union address.
00:08:20.000 He'll barely get into the White House.
00:08:21.000 And then if he dies, he dies.
00:08:22.000 And you know, that's the way that it goes.
00:08:25.000 And then it turns out that he decided on his own to destroy both himself and them.
00:08:30.000 He destroyed their credibility, because now they either have to pretend to be shocked, shocked that there's gambling going on here, or they have to admit they were lying all along.
00:08:37.000 Either they have to say, I never knew Joe Biden was this bad.
00:08:40.000 My God, I never knew that.
00:08:43.000 And that way, supposedly, we'll continue to believe them, that they were honest when they said he was fine, and now they're honest when they say he's not.
00:08:49.000 Or, we're going to believe the alternative, which is that they were lying the entire time.
00:08:52.000 So they have to act absolutely shocked.
00:08:54.000 Okay, let's start from the beginning here.
00:08:56.000 Because the coverage over the weekend is astonishing.
00:08:59.000 The calls for Biden to leave are very real.
00:09:01.000 The problem for them is there is no mechanism to replace Joe Biden on this ticket.
00:09:05.000 Joe Biden would have to determine that he himself is stepping out.
00:09:05.000 None.
00:09:09.000 All of this fairytale nonsense about how the delegates at the convention are simply going to vote for somebody else despite being bound to vote for him based on state certification in the DNC.
00:09:19.000 It's not true, okay?
00:09:20.000 They're not going to do any of that.
00:09:21.000 He would have to step out.
00:09:23.000 The problem with him stepping out is the person backing him up, as we'll see, is Kamala Harris, who's even worse than he is.
00:09:28.000 And the problem with being anyone other than those two is that Biden-Harris campaign funds, which now amount to hundreds of millions of dollars, those are non-transferable.
00:09:36.000 So if there's money in the Biden-Harris campaign, and let's say that neither of them ends up being the nominee, that money doesn't just shift over to Gretchen Whitmer or Gavin Newsom or Josh Shapiro or something.
00:09:45.000 It just kind of sits there, doesn't have any place to go.
00:09:49.000 So the fallout here is astonishing.
00:09:51.000 You're getting tons of leaks from the Biden campaign, from Team Obama, which is extreme.
00:09:57.000 Understand something.
00:09:58.000 Team Obama hates Joe Biden.
00:09:59.000 They always hated Joe Biden.
00:09:59.000 They hate Joe.
00:10:01.000 Barack Obama always scorned, sneered at Joe Biden, thought he was a dullard because he's right.
00:10:06.000 Team Obama always thought of Joe Biden as sort of this bizarre white guy, an interloper in their administration.
00:10:12.000 What is he even doing here?
00:10:13.000 He's this old doddering relic of the past.
00:10:16.000 And so now they are eagerly seizing the knife to take him out.
00:10:20.000 And now the leaks begin.
00:10:21.000 This is when it starts to get really interesting.
00:10:22.000 So you would have expected all of these leaks about Joe Biden's senility to wait until after his reelect.
00:10:28.000 Nope!
00:10:29.000 They are breaking now, July 1st.
00:10:31.000 And we still have four months until the election and they're already breaking.
00:10:35.000 According to the Washington Post, President Biden's debate prep went fine.
00:10:38.000 In the sessions, the president still spoke haltingly.
00:10:40.000 He sometimes confused facts and figures.
00:10:42.000 He tripped over words and meandered.
00:10:44.000 Debate prep would not fix his stutter or make him appear any younger, AIDS knew.
00:10:47.000 Well, I mean, that doesn't sound like it's going fine, does it?
00:10:49.000 But as Biden boarded Marine One to leave the rustic Camp David presidential retreat for Atlanta,
00:10:54.000 they sought to reassure anxious allies.
00:10:55.000 The president, they said, was prepared and would perform well.
00:10:58.000 Some said the debate might even be boring.
00:10:59.000 This story says the Washington Post is based on conversations with eight
00:11:04.000 individuals involved in or briefed on the president's debate preparation,
00:11:07.000 all of whom spoke on a condition of anonymity to describe a private meetings.
00:11:11.000 The Biden campaign declined to comment.
00:11:14.000 So apparently, every topic he was asked about Thursday, he had practiced answers for, including the final one about his age.
00:11:20.000 So aides were bewildered by his performance.
00:11:22.000 So what's happening here?
00:11:23.000 The aides are attempting to get themselves off the hook.
00:11:25.000 So as we're about to talk about, the Biden family, which wants Joe to remain in the race, because they have to, because the grift must go on.
00:11:32.000 Come rain, come shine, come snow, come sleet, the grift must go on!
00:11:36.000 That's the way it works in the Biden family.
00:11:38.000 See, if Joe Biden is no longer president, then Jill might actually have to be elected to something so she could be president, as opposed to right now when she gets to be president without ever having been elected to anything or having been a useful person.
00:11:50.000 Hunter might actually have to get a regular job as opposed to finger painting and picking up bags of cash and snorting Parmesan cheese off the carpets.
00:11:56.000 His brothers, Jim and Frank, might have to go get regular jobs where they can't just refer to their brother's governmental position in order to pick up bags of cash.
00:12:04.000 His sister might have to go get an actual campaign job that doesn't involve her brother.
00:12:08.000 The entire Biden family has been riding the corrupt coattails of Joe Biden since the 1970s.
00:12:14.000 They might have to get regular- Of course they are pushing for him to remain in the race.
00:12:17.000 So, what are they doing?
00:12:18.000 They're blaming the aides.
00:12:19.000 What are the aides doing?
00:12:20.000 They're blaming Biden.
00:12:21.000 Who's the person who's actually to blame?
00:12:23.000 Joe Biden, of course.
00:12:24.000 And if it's not Joe Biden, it's Jill.
00:12:26.000 Because if Joe is not capable of making his own decisions, then what wife in her right mind would allow her husband to go out and humiliate himself in front of billions of people?
00:12:36.000 Lady Macbeth over here.
00:12:39.000 Again, the bizarre family dynamic inside the Biden family.
00:12:45.000 The Jill Biden whispering into his ear, hide thee hither that I might pour my spirits in thine ear and chastise with the valor of my tongue all that impedes thee from the golden round.
00:12:56.000 And Joe Biden is a historically not nice character if this is what's going on here, which it appears to be happening.
00:13:02.000 So, she's blaming the aides.
00:13:04.000 The aides are blaming the only person responsible, who's Joe Biden.
00:13:08.000 Apparently, all his aides were like, dude, don't debate.
00:13:10.000 And Joe Biden was like, I'm fine.
00:13:12.000 Everything's good.
00:13:14.000 It's all going great.
00:13:15.000 I want to debate.
00:13:16.000 I can't do anything.
00:13:18.000 Nobody asked me.
00:13:20.000 And it went great.
00:13:21.000 Well, the Biden family might not be filled with very nice people, but at least Joe can get his sleep.
00:13:25.000 But we can't always get our sleep because getting good night's sleep, given what's going on in the news like right now, it's pretty rough.
00:13:31.000 I've personally experienced how a bad night's sleep can wreak havoc the entire next day.

00:14:43.000 And trying to discern the source of the leaks is really fun.
00:14:46.000 Is it Kamala in the conservatory with the lead pipe?
00:14:48.000 Or is it the speechwriting aide in the library with the stiletto?
00:14:54.000 Aides were bewildered by his performance.
00:14:55.000 Many felt they had never seen him collapse so dramatically.
00:14:58.000 After all, Biden was a veteran of numerous debates.
00:15:00.000 They did not understand why he gave an entirely different answer on the age question than the one they spent more than a week perfecting.
00:15:05.000 The president did not just stumble over words.
00:15:07.000 He appeared to lose his focus and often was unable to finish sentences.
00:15:10.000 His voice was raspy and thin.
00:15:12.000 When the debate concluded, First Lady Jill Biden appeared to help her husband down the stairs.
00:15:18.000 Apparently, again, this whole story from the Washington Post is these aides trying to justify themselves.
00:15:24.000 They say, I love this paragraph, you ready?
00:15:28.000 Here we go.
00:15:31.000 No, that's not the problem.
00:15:34.000 The problem is there's nothing inside his head.
00:15:37.000 Not that he got inside his own head.
00:15:38.000 If he got in there, it would be an empty ballroom.
00:15:41.000 Like spider webs and such.
00:15:44.000 Overprepared?
00:15:44.000 Did that dude look like somebody who was overprepared to you?
00:15:47.000 Have you ever overprepared for an event?
00:15:49.000 Get a little bit nervous, kind of botch it at the beginning?
00:15:52.000 Overprepared does not look like you stumbling over your sentences to the point where no one knows what the hell you're talking about.
00:15:57.000 Overprepared.
00:16:00.000 When the debate began on Thursday, Biden's top aides gathered in a holdroom at the CNN studios, knew immediately the president had gotten off to a rough start, stumbling on answers about the economy, ending remarks about the national debt with a gaffe.
00:16:10.000 We finally beat Medicare.
00:16:12.000 Early in the debate, Biden officials started telling reporters the president had a cold and a sore throat in an effort to explain why his voice sounded weak and raspy.
00:16:21.000 Now again, Biden aides and allies had worried for months about whether he should take part in the traditional presidential debates.
00:16:26.000 Some vigorously argued he should not participate, concerned he was not up to the task and Trump would dominate the encounter with his shouting and bluster.
00:16:32.000 Others thought skipping a debate would make Biden look weak.
00:16:35.000 The Biden campaign ultimately agreed to two debates, insisting the event would be on their terms.
00:16:39.000 So again, all the talk about how this thing was rigged against Joe Biden, Joe Biden's team insisted on every term of the debate and an early date.
00:16:49.000 And so that is how this thing rolled out.
00:16:51.000 And that's that's the least of the leaks.
00:16:54.000 And then there's this leak from Axios, which is an astonishing leak, truly an amazing leak.
00:17:00.000 Biden's miscues and limitations are more familiar inside the White House.
00:17:03.000 The time of day is important as to which of the two Bidens will appear.
00:17:07.000 The two Bidens would be, you know, somewhat with it, and then slack-jawed, glassy-eyed, looks as though he's about to die Biden.
00:17:14.000 Quote, from 10 a.m.
00:17:15.000 to 4 p.m., Biden is dependably engaged, and many of his public events in front of the cameras are held within those hours.
00:17:22.000 Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios.
00:17:30.000 Uh, well, good news, I guess you only have to be president for six hours a day, like one quarter of the time of the day.
00:17:36.000 Probably none of our enemies will do anything outside the hours of ten to four.
00:17:41.000 So long as it happens between ten and four, he can basically string together a sentence and spell the word cat if spotted the C in the T. But, outside those hours, he's basically hitting his head on the toilet and inventing the flux capacitor, this guy.
00:17:53.000 Like, he's totally out of it.
00:17:55.000 This is them leaking.
00:17:56.000 Their leak in an attempt to mitigate the damage is to say, well, he is sentient from 10 to 4.
00:18:02.000 From 10 to 4?
00:18:03.000 Okay, there's a word for this.
00:18:05.000 When it comes to aging in the United States, it's called sundowning.
00:18:07.000 He's full on sundowning.
00:18:09.000 It hits 430.
00:18:10.000 That dude is gone.
00:18:11.000 He is out.
00:18:12.000 There ain't nothing going on upstairs.
00:18:13.000 That is his own aides leaking it.
00:18:15.000 And why are they leaking it?
00:18:16.000 Because they understand that if they don't leak this stuff, then the fire is going to come around to them.
00:18:20.000 Then Biden and team are going to try and blame them for Biden's own failure.
00:18:23.000 That is the stupidest attempt by the Biden team ever.
00:18:23.000 Here's the thing.
00:18:27.000 The problem was not his aides.
00:18:28.000 The problem was him.
00:18:30.000 Everyone knows it.
00:18:31.000 And now you're getting the media finally reporting the stories that they wouldn't report for months.
00:18:35.000 Because again, it's a cover up.
00:18:37.000 The media lied to you.
00:18:38.000 They lied to everyone.
00:18:40.000 They said that you were crazy if you talked about Joe Biden's dementia.
00:18:44.000 The fact that he's addled.
00:18:45.000 So now all the stories are suddenly breaking loose.
00:18:48.000 Like magic.
00:18:49.000 Again, understand, there's some people out there who are like, this appears so coordinated that it must be some sort of crazy plan.
00:18:54.000 It's not a plan.
00:18:55.000 It's everyone just got pantsed by the old senile man.
00:18:58.000 Joe Biden desperately thought that he was as strong as he was back in his thirties.
00:18:58.000 That's all.
00:19:04.000 And so he was going to go out and he's going to debate that terrible Donald Trump blangly.
00:19:09.000 And he insisted on it.
00:19:11.000 And all of his aides were not strong enough to withstand the pestering of Jill and company.
00:19:15.000 And so they put him on the stage with all the conditions stacked in his favor, and he crapped the bed.
00:19:19.000 And the entire media were humiliated because they have been playing defense for him.
00:19:23.000 They've been lying on his behalf.
00:19:25.000 And now, again, they have to act shocked.
00:19:27.000 It is a moral obligation for them to act shocked.
00:19:29.000 Because if they don't, then they were complicit in the lie.
00:19:31.000 Now, here's the thing.
00:19:32.000 We all know they were complicit in the lie, right?
00:19:34.000 We all know that they were lying for years because your eyes were not lying to you.
00:19:38.000 Your ears were not lying to you.
00:19:39.000 Your brain was not lying to you.
00:19:41.000 They were lying to you.
00:19:42.000 Okay, so now all the stories start to break.
00:19:43.000 Okay, here's the Wall Street Journal, quote.
00:19:46.000 The loudest public alarm about Joe Biden's mental acuity came in February with the release of special counsel Robert Herz's report, a document he produced after spending five hours interviewing the president that revealed Biden displayed significant memory problems.
00:19:57.000 Democrats worried, then most of them followed the president's lead and dismissed it as partisan hackery.
00:20:02.000 But here's the thing.
00:20:04.000 In interviews, top officials abroad and Democrats said they have witnessed other moments when Biden's behavior concerned them.
00:20:10.000 Some were quickly relieved when Biden appeared to regain his footing.
00:20:12.000 Others were left shaken by the experiences.
00:20:15.000 European officials had already been expressing worries in private about Biden's focus and stamina before Thursday's debate.
00:20:20.000 With some senior diplomats saying they had tracked a noticeable deterioration in the president's faculties in meetings since last summer.
00:20:26.000 There were real doubts about how Biden could successfully manage a second term.
00:20:29.000 But one senior European diplomat said U.S.
00:20:31.000 administration officials in private discussions denied there was any problem.
00:20:36.000 The White House disputed the characterization that Biden has stumbled on the world stage.
00:20:40.000 National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said foreign leaders see Joe Biden up close and personal.
00:20:44.000 They know who they're dealing with, how effective he has been, how important his leadership is.
00:20:48.000 That's not what the foreigners are saying, according to the Wall Street Journal.
00:20:51.000 I love that.
00:20:52.000 Many of the most important discussions.
00:20:53.000 You did great, Joe.
00:20:54.000 Like 7 out of those 10, you were awake.
00:20:56.000 appearing physically frailer than in the past, but alert in many of the most important discussions.
00:20:56.000 Well done.
00:21:00.000 I love that, many of the most important discussions.
00:21:02.000 You did great, Joe.
00:21:04.000 Like seven out of those 10, you were away.
00:21:06.000 Well done, oh, amazing work.
00:21:09.000 Biden missed the summit's dinner party in a medieval castle,
00:21:11.000 an off-camera and less scripted part of the summit in which leaders often exchange views more candidly.
00:21:15.000 He was the only G7 leader not to attend the meal.
00:21:18.000 The next day, Biden followed through on his plans to forego a Swiss peace summit on Ukraine
00:21:23.000 and attend a California fundraiser instead.
00:21:25.000 .
00:21:27.000 Top White House officials disputed any portrait of a president slipping during his European trip, which included 12-hour days chock-full of meetings.
00:21:33.000 He didn't miss a beat, said Dilip Singh, the Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics.
00:21:39.000 But officials said Biden's performance and focus can vary significantly between meetings, and even within a meeting.
00:21:45.000 Two senior European officials cited an EU-US summit in October in Washington, in which Biden struggled to follow the discussions.
00:21:52.000 Both said he stumbled over his talking points at several moments, requiring Secretary of State Antony Blinken to intervene and point out the lines he should use.
00:22:00.000 None of this is shocking.
00:22:04.000 If you had to bet on whether Joe Biden was actually, you know, awake for the G7, you'd bet no.
00:22:09.000 Well, I mean, actually you can bet on that sort of stuff at BetOnline.

00:23:06.000 BetOnline.
00:23:07.000 The options are endless.
00:23:08.000 But again, the Europeans have been seeing this for a long time.
00:23:14.000 Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who is not a far-right winger.
00:23:18.000 He says, quote, I was afraid of this.
00:23:19.000 It was to be expected that in a direct confrontation and a debate, it would not be easy for the president.
00:23:23.000 They definitely have a problem.
00:23:25.000 The reactions have been unambiguous.
00:23:28.000 Norbert Röntgen, senior lawmaker in Germany's center-right opposition party, says, quote, the Democrats must switch horses now.
00:23:34.000 Slovenian former Prime Minister Janis Jansa said he bet months ago Biden would no longer be on the ballot in November.
00:23:41.000 When Biden was in France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day in June, he struggled.
00:23:44.000 During a bilateral meeting in Paris with Zelensky, Biden spoke so softly, reporters brought in to document the meeting between the two men couldn't initially hear the American president at all.
00:23:55.000 Again, like, the White House keeps pretending that this isn't happening, but this has been known for months.
00:24:01.000 And again, now you're going to get all the leaks about how they knew this for months.
00:24:05.000 Meanwhile, again, his aides, his staff, they're complaining.
00:24:08.000 They're trying to put on the Biden family, which they should, because they're right.
00:24:11.000 According to Axios, Joe Biden's close aides have carefully shielded him from people inside and outside the White House since the beginning of his presidency.
00:24:18.000 The intermittent access has resulted in many current and former White House aides being shocked at the 81-year-old president's limitations at the debate on Thursday night.
00:24:26.000 Current and former White House aides are feeling whiplash and now questioning whether Biden could fulfill a second term.
00:24:31.000 Chandler West, the White House's Deputy Director of Photography, from January 2021 to May 2022, wrote, It's time for Joe to go.
00:24:38.000 I know many of the people and how the White House operates.
00:24:40.000 They say he has a cold or experienced a bad night, but for weeks and months in private, they've all said what we saw last night.
00:24:45.000 Joe is not as strong as he was just a couple of years ago.
00:24:50.000 And that, again, is not the only person saying that.
00:24:53.000 A former residence official told Axios, Jill Biden was so protective of the president, and then Antony just protects her, and they often wouldn't let us do anything for them.
00:25:01.000 That'd be Joe Biden's top aide, Anthony Bernal.
00:25:03.000 The separation between the family and the resident staff was so big, so divided.
00:25:06.000 It's not supposed to be, and usually isn't, even in the Trump White House.
00:25:11.000 So all the aides are like, it's not our fault.
00:25:14.000 Not our fault.
00:25:15.000 Now, here's the thing.
00:25:16.000 It is unambiguous.
00:25:16.000 The polling is out.
00:25:17.000 The American people do not think that Joe Biden is fit to be president of the United States.
00:25:20.000 Period.
00:25:21.000 End of story.
00:25:23.000 In June of 2024, Question.
00:25:26.000 You gov.
00:25:27.000 Biden.
00:25:28.000 Does he have the mental and cognitive health to serve as president?
00:25:31.000 35% of Americans in June 2024 said he does.
00:25:33.000 65% said he does not.
00:25:35.000 Today, that number is 72%.
00:25:38.000 Over 7 in 10 Americans think he does not have the mental and cognitive health to serve as president of the United States.
00:25:45.000 Among registered voters, 50% said Trump does and 49% said he does not.
00:25:48.000 And those would be the Democrats, right?
00:25:52.000 Today, should Biden be running for president?
00:25:55.000 72% is all registered voters.
00:25:56.000 No, should he be running for president.
00:25:59.000 Among Democratic registered voters, only 54% say he should be running for president.
00:26:06.000 Full-scale disaster area.
00:26:08.000 Why shouldn't Biden be running for president?
00:26:11.000 86%, his age.
00:26:13.000 71%, decisions he might make in office.
00:26:14.000 Now here's the problem.
00:26:16.000 66%, his record as president.
00:26:18.000 So two thirds of Americans are like, forget about the fact he's senile, he's a terrible president.
00:26:24.000 In terms of the polling on the debate itself, which candidate presented ideas clearly?
00:26:29.000 Trump, 47-21.
00:26:31.000 Appeared presidential.
00:26:32.000 Inspired confidence.
00:26:32.000 Trump, 46-28.
00:26:34.000 Trump, 44-18.
00:26:36.000 Explained plans and policies.
00:26:37.000 Trump, 43-35.
00:26:39.000 Now, the Democrats are going to point out that those are low numbers for Trump, and that's true.
00:26:43.000 Who is enthusiastic about voting for Joe Biden?
00:26:46.000 Are Democrats enthusiastic about voting for Joe Biden?
00:26:50.000 Are they excited about voting for Joe Biden?
00:26:54.000 On the economy, the same poll, registered voters.
00:26:56.000 Will you be financially better off if Trump wins or if Biden wins?
00:26:59.000 Trump, 45-19.
00:27:03.000 On democracy and the rule of law, democracy and the rule of law will be safe.
00:27:08.000 If Biden wins, 48.
00:27:09.000 If Trump wins, 47.
00:27:10.000 So Trump isn't even, Biden isn't even winning that one.
00:27:14.000 These are disastrous numbers for Joe Biden.
00:27:17.000 The polling for Biden is just absolutely awful.
00:27:20.000 So, you know, if Democrats don't want to let that sort of news in, they really need to close the curtains or perhaps get some better blinds.

00:28:26.000 That's Blinds.com.
00:28:27.000 Rules and restrictions may apply.
00:28:29.000 Meanwhile, there has been a polling uptick, as you would expect, for Donald Trump, thanks to this debate.
00:28:38.000 Nate Silver points out that his numbers are going the wrong direction.
00:28:45.000 That there has been a somewhat small, but also somewhat durable increase in the polling numbers for Donald Trump.
00:28:50.000 That since the debate, Donald Trump has jumped about two percentage points in the polling data.
00:28:56.000 The latest poll, SurveyUSA, has Trump up two.
00:28:59.000 The New York Times Siena poll that was taken before the debate has Trump up four.
00:29:06.000 There's a poll that just came out after the debate, and it shows Trump up five.
00:29:12.000 That is from Atlas Intel.
00:29:15.000 That's Trump plus 5.2.
00:29:16.000 At 45.5 to 40.3, with RFK picking up 10%.
00:29:18.000 point five to forty point three with RFK picking up ten percent.
00:29:22.000 Full scale disaster area here for the Biden campaign.
00:29:27.000 So, again, there's been a wide divide on the left between whether Biden should
00:29:33.000 stay or whether he should go.
00:29:34.000 And the only question is how close you are to Joe Biden personally.
00:29:37.000 That really is what it is.
00:29:39.000 If you're a member of the media, you're basically calling for him to go.
00:29:41.000 If you're a member of the Democratic political establishment, you're calling for him to stay.
00:29:45.000 Why?
00:29:46.000 Because now, their interests actually diverge.
00:29:48.000 So since 2008, when Barack Obama was elected president, Democrats in the media have basically been one giant blob.
00:29:55.000 They are the same.
00:29:56.000 They are indistinguishable, which is why you can have a revolving door of Jen Psaki from the White House to MSNBC, and then maybe back to the White House, and then back to MSNBC.
00:30:03.000 This is how it works.
00:30:04.000 It's the same.
00:30:06.000 The press has just been an apparatus of the Democratic White Houses.
00:30:09.000 That's all.
00:30:10.000 The Democratic Party, the press, indistinguishable.
00:30:13.000 But that all changed last week.
00:30:16.000 Because the credibility of the press was invested in Joe Biden not being the thing.
00:30:16.000 Why?
00:30:20.000 They all said that he wasn't, and then he was the thing.
00:30:24.000 So now the press have their own interests in upholding their own veracity for having written article after article after article saying that all stories about his senility were Republicans' pounce stories.
00:30:33.000 So the New York Times editorial board literally called for Joe Biden not to run again.
00:30:37.000 Quote, President Biden has repeatedly and rightfully described the stakes in this November's
00:30:41.000 presidential election as nothing less than the future of American democracy.
00:30:45.000 Biden has said he is the candidate with the best chance of taking on this threat of tyranny and
00:30:49.000 defeating it.
00:30:50.000 His argument rests largely on the fact that he beat Trump in 2020.
00:30:53.000 That is no longer a sufficient rationale for why Mr. Biden should be the Democratic nominee this year.
00:30:59.000 At Thursday's debate, the president needed to convince the American public he was equal to the formidable demands of the office he is seeking to hold for another term.
00:31:05.000 Voters, however, cannot be expected to ignore what was instead plain to see.
00:31:08.000 Mr. Biden is not the man he was four years ago.
00:31:11.000 As it stands, the president is engaged in a reckless gamble.
00:31:15.000 There are Democratic leaders better equipped to present clear, compelling, energetic alternatives to a second Trump presidency.
00:31:19.000 There's no reason for the party to risk the stability and security of the country by forcing voters to choose between Trump's deficiencies and those of Biden.
00:31:26.000 It's too big a bet to simply hope Americans will overlook or discount Mr. Biden's age and infirmity that they see with their very own eyes.
00:31:34.000 If the race comes down to a choice between Trump and Biden, the sitting president would be this board's unequivocal pick.
00:31:39.000 But that's how much of a danger Trump poses.
00:31:40.000 Given that very danger, the stakes for the country, and the uneven abilities of Mr. Biden, the United States needs a stronger opponent to the presumptive Republican nominee.
00:31:50.000 So, that is the New York Times editorial board calling for Joe Biden to step out of the race.
00:31:55.000 Now, here is the thing.
00:31:56.000 If Joe Biden is not capable of running the race, he shouldn't be president.
00:31:59.000 There's your 25th amendment, that guy.
00:32:01.000 If he is too senile to run, he is too senile to be President of the United States.
00:32:04.000 Axios reports he is not sentient between the hours of 4 p.m.
00:32:09.000 and 10 a.m.
00:32:11.000 all the way around the clock.
00:32:13.000 He's sentient for most of the hours my kids are in school.
00:32:18.000 That is legitimately what Axios is now reporting.
00:32:22.000 So the media are saying the truth, bizarrely, because again, they require the credibility of saying the truth late after lying to all of us.
00:32:31.000 Here's Jonathan Karl of ABC News saying, Even before the debate, there was a sense of dread among many Democrats, a fear that the campaign was heading towards something they consider unthinkable, a Donald Trump victory in November.
00:32:48.000 President Biden needed a strong debate to show that he has the physical and mental ability to take on and defeat Donald Trump.
00:32:56.000 That's why he spent nearly a week at Camp David with an army of advisors preparing for a debate with rules and a format that his advisors designed.
00:33:06.000 Few prominent Democrats are even pretending he did what he needed to do on that debate stage.
00:33:13.000 By the way, Democrats are now worried that Joe Biden is going to drag down all the Senate candidates.
00:33:17.000 So one of the oddities is that Democratic candidates are outpolling Biden in nearly every swing state this year.
00:33:21.000 So Sherrod Brown in Ohio, he's outpolling Biden.
00:33:24.000 In Pennsylvania, Bob Casey is outpolling Biden in Pennsylvania.
00:33:29.000 In Arizona, the Democratic candidate for Senate, Ruben Gallego, out-polling Biden.
00:33:34.000 So Biden is actually trailing every Senate candidate for the Democrats.
00:33:37.000 But the problem is that if turnout's real low for the Democrats, they lose all those seats.
00:33:41.000 So they are freaking out.
00:33:43.000 The Wall Street Journal reports, quote, Democrats who worried about President Biden's reelect prospect, even before his uneven debate Thursday, had been pointing to a bright spot in this year's campaign.
00:33:51.000 The party's Senate candidates and some vulnerable House candidates generally pull better than the weakened president.
00:33:55.000 Now, those Democratic candidates and their aides are trying to sort through whether Biden's halting performance and sometimes dazed appearance have sapped the party's goals of retaining the Senate and flipping the House.
00:34:05.000 Both chambers with thin majorities are in play this fall.
00:34:07.000 By the way, a report from Politico this morning The Democrats in the House are now basically begging their donors.
00:34:13.000 They need the House because they're not going to win the presidency.
00:34:16.000 And members of the press who are probably going to vote for Joe Biden no matter what.
00:34:21.000 Even they are appalled by what they saw, or at least pretending to be.
00:34:24.000 So, I will give it to, listen, Bill Maher, I'm friendly with.
00:34:27.000 Bill has been honest about this since the beginning, that Joe Biden is diminished, and that he expected Trump to run strong.
00:34:32.000 But here is Maher.
00:34:33.000 Listen to the audience.
00:34:34.000 It's less about what Maher is saying and more about the audience.
00:34:36.000 The entire Maher audience, which is a left-wing audience, I know, I've been on his show many times.
00:34:40.000 The entire audience is laughing at Joe Biden's performance because everyone sees the thing.
00:34:47.000 Here is Maher.
00:34:49.000 You know, Joe, he famously loves trains, but apparently not of thought.
00:34:53.000 He's just all night confused and halting and trailing off.
00:34:58.000 I've seen beauty pageant contestants answer questions better.
00:35:01.000 I don't want to say he s*** the bed.
00:35:06.000 His new secret service name is Amber Heard.
00:35:08.000 I'm coming out.
00:35:11.000 Even the folks over at Pod Save America.
00:35:14.000 We're very upset about all of this.
00:35:15.000 So the Podbros, the Pod Save America, those are all Obama boys.
00:35:17.000 So the Obama team, they've always seen Joe as a very fragile vessel for the Obama agenda.
00:35:24.000 And now they're like, God bless it.
00:35:26.000 We're going to throw this guy under the bus.
00:35:28.000 Here's Mehdi Hassan, Qatari frontman, and the boys at Pod Save America lamenting the fall of Joe Biden here.
00:35:39.000 I've been to Georgia.
00:35:41.000 I've been to Michigan recently.
00:35:43.000 Every single brown person I met, people who voted Democrat all their lives, say we're not voting Democratic.
00:35:48.000 We want to punish Biden.
00:35:49.000 Don't shoot the messenger.
00:35:50.000 I'm just telling you that is what people are saying.
00:35:52.000 I dare you to ask all those people to vote again this morning after what they watched last night.
00:35:56.000 It's just not the same thing.
00:35:58.000 We're in a very different place.
00:36:00.000 People saw the car crash in front of their eyes.
00:36:02.000 I understand that.
00:36:04.000 The biggest challenge in this race has been to capture people's attention in a very fractured media environment.
00:36:10.000 There are now no more opportunities.
00:36:11.000 Because the one opportunity, when 50 million Americans tuned in, Joe Biden did not show up.
00:36:17.000 The party does not have a problem with Democrats, it has a problem with Joe Biden.
00:36:20.000 That's what people are trying to tell us right now.
00:36:25.000 Okay, so again, Positive America Bros, they're saying he needs to be out.
00:36:28.000 Politico has an entire article about how the mainstream media is now saying he needs to be out.
00:36:33.000 And so now an open war has broken out between Team Biden and Team Obama as Politico reports, quote, Biden camp lashes out and Obama alums push back.
00:36:42.000 Less than 72 hours removed from the debate performance by President Joe Biden that was widely seen as catastrophic.
00:36:47.000 Top members of his campaign team are lashing out at the president's Democratic critics, meeting expressions of grief, dread and fear over the debate with mockery directed at one time allies.
00:36:56.000 It makes perfect sense because the Obama team has always scorned the Biden team.
00:37:00.000 Okay, so we've talked about all the people who want Joe Biden out.
00:37:03.000 In one second, we're going to get to all the people, particularly inside the administration and inside some Democratic halls of power, who either want Joe Biden to stay in or have resigned themselves to their fate.
00:37:13.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.
00:37:14.000 First, it's time to talk some freedom.

00:37:41.000 Head on over to dailywireplus.com right now.
00:37:44.000 Okay, meanwhile.
00:37:45.000 So Democratic media panic is very, very real.
00:37:48.000 There's one big problem for the Democrats, many big problems.
00:37:51.000 One of them is that the person backing up Joe Biden, of course, is Kamala Harris, who's even more unpopular than he is.
00:37:57.000 Here is a brief montage of Kamala Harris talking about something.
00:38:03.000 There's a phrase she likes to use about the limitations and possibilities not being bound by what has been.
00:38:09.000 She uses it all the time.
00:38:11.000 Like when she washes her hands after going to the bathroom.
00:38:14.000 Here we go.
00:38:14.000 I don't even know.
00:38:16.000 I can imagine what can be and be unburdened by what has been.
00:38:19.000 You know?
00:38:21.000 What can be unburdened by what has been?
00:38:24.000 What can be Unburdened by what has been.
00:38:29.000 What can be unburdened by what has been.
00:38:33.000 What can be unburdened by what has been.
00:38:38.000 What we can see, what we believe can be unburdened by what has been.
00:38:42.000 What can be unburdened by what has been.
00:38:49.000 God, she's so irritating.
00:38:50.000 So that's their alternative.
00:38:52.000 Good job, DEI.
00:38:53.000 Glad you desperately needed to select a black woman for your vice president, so you ended up with Kamala Harris.
00:38:58.000 As opposed to, you know, like Amy- If Amy Klobuchar, by the way, were the vice president right now, this thing is done already.
00:39:02.000 We're already finished.
00:39:03.000 In any case, MSNBC, Joe Scarborough, attempting to maintain some semblance of journalistic credibility last week, basically threw Biden under the bus.
00:39:12.000 This week, MS- It's been a weekend.
00:39:14.000 MSNBC was like, no, got to buy that one back.
00:39:17.000 He's going to be the nominee.
00:39:18.000 So let's buy this sucker back.
00:39:18.000 And that's awkward.
00:39:20.000 So Joe Scarborough is putting witness protection for this segment because, of course, he has said that Joe should drop out.
00:39:24.000 And Mika did like a 15 minute segment on just what a magnificent human, bright, ingenious, witty, incisive, insightful, acidic Joe Biden is.
00:39:35.000 Here we go.
00:39:37.000 The very next day in North Carolina, there was Joe Biden, back to form, finding his voice, his winning smile, the vintage sparkle back in his eyes.
00:39:47.000 Two appearances that were as different as, well, night and day.
00:39:52.000 I don't debate as well as I used to.
00:39:57.000 But I know what I do know.
00:40:00.000 I know how to tell the truth!
00:40:02.000 I know!
00:40:10.000 I know right from wrong!
00:40:15.000 Starting at 9 p.m., Joe Biden was fresh off back-to-back trips to Europe, first to Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day, and a state dinner with President Macron, and then to Italy for the G7, followed by a flight across 12 time zones to L.A.
00:40:30.000 for a fundraiser with former President Barack Obama.
00:40:33.000 While we're at it, let's talk about his age.
00:40:36.000 Age is wisdom and experience.
00:40:39.000 That in the case of Joe Biden leads to more bipartisan legislation passed than any president over the past few generations and the largest expansion of NATO's alliance in history.
00:40:51.000 Under Joe Biden and his age, America is stronger economically and militarily than any time in half a century.
00:41:00.000 So Mika Brzezinski is like, I'm going to massage this thing into reality.
00:41:03.000 Why is that happening?
00:41:04.000 Because the Biden family is making clear they ain't going nowhere.
00:41:07.000 They're not going anywhere.
00:41:10.000 You want to know why they're not going anywhere, by the way?
00:41:12.000 They're not going anywhere because they love the power.
00:41:14.000 They love it.
00:41:16.000 Now, quick side note.
00:41:17.000 Mika Brzezinski shows film of Joe Biden.
00:41:19.000 She's like, he's totally different the next day, which he clearly is not, even from that very short clip where he's hacking into his hand and staring glassily into the teleprompter.
00:41:28.000 Just to confirm that, Joe Biden put out a video talking about how he's standing for democracy.
00:41:33.000 And in this particular video, there are nine jump cuts in 38 seconds.
00:41:38.000 Is a McGee music video.
00:41:40.000 Here is Joe Biden.
00:41:42.000 Democracy is the essence of who we are.
00:41:47.000 We're the most unique nation in the world in that we're not united based on race, ethnicity, geography.
00:41:53.000 We're based on idea.
00:41:54.000 We hold these truths to be self-evident that all women and men are created equal.
00:41:58.000 It's in our Declaration of Independence and in our Constitution.
00:42:01.000 They're the two things that are the guardrails to make sure democracy is able to be sustained.
00:42:05.000 It's all about being able to show up and vote, be able to have an opportunity to get a fair deal, an even chance.
00:42:12.000 It all rests upon our Constitution and democracy is the vehicle and the method that holds that together.
00:42:21.000 That's how many jump cuts there were in a 38-second video.
00:42:24.000 He's all fine, according to Mika Brzezinski.
00:42:24.000 Don't worry.
00:42:26.000 Okay, so why is all this happening?
00:42:28.000 I present to you the actual President of the United States, Jill Biden, on the cover of Vogue magazine.
00:42:34.000 Here is President Jill.
00:42:36.000 The First Lady, Jill Biden.
00:42:38.000 We will decide our future.
00:42:41.000 That carries a different meaning than probably when that interview was first done.
00:42:43.000 This is the August issue.
00:42:45.000 We will decide our future.
00:42:47.000 Here's a quote from the story.
00:42:49.000 If you want to know what power feels like, try to get yourself driven around in a motorcade.
00:42:52.000 Flashing police chaperone lights form a perimeter as you blaze down an empty highway, waiting cars backed up on entry ramps as you pass.
00:42:59.000 It's as if the world is holding its breath.
00:43:01.000 For you.
00:43:02.000 Also, rules don't apply.
00:43:04.000 At 9 mile, an entourage of 30 or so are noisily hustling to follow a trim blonde woman in a pristine white suit as she strides nonchalantly past clanging, gurgling, brewing vats aiming for a back office.
00:43:14.000 This is my first glimpse of First Lady Dr. Jill Biden exiting the sealed chamber of power into the middle of America, a vision of calm amid utter cacophony.
00:43:25.000 You want to know why Joe Biden is going to stay in the race?
00:43:28.000 That's the reason why he's going to stay in the race.
00:43:30.000 Out, out, damned spot!
00:43:33.000 Lady Macbeth over there.
00:43:34.000 And the rest of the Biden family, corrupt as the day is long.
00:43:38.000 I mean, I've been saying this for a decade at this point.
00:43:42.000 God's justice comes for everyone.
00:43:46.000 Joe Biden has lived an extraordinarily corrupt familial life.
00:43:50.000 Super corrupt from the day that he became a senator.
00:43:53.000 He was using that power on behalf of the enrichment of his family.
00:43:55.000 Ben Schreckinger has an excellent book about the Biden family in which he talks going all the way back about the level of corruption inside the Biden family.
00:44:01.000 We're talking about his brothers, Jim and Frank.
00:44:03.000 We're talking about his sister Val.
00:44:04.000 We are talking about his wife, Jill.
00:44:05.000 We are talking about his sons, including Hunter.
00:44:09.000 The level of corruption inside the Biden family is extraordinary.
00:44:12.000 The entire thing is a giant grift for their own benefit.
00:44:15.000 And now, because Papa Biden ain't there, they gotta prop that guy up.
00:44:19.000 Because the minute he's gone, guess what happens?
00:44:22.000 The gravy train is over.
00:44:24.000 Hunter has to do something besides finger paint and snort blow off hookers while impregnating them with children that his father will never visit with.
00:44:34.000 Val has to get herself a real job.
00:44:36.000 Frank and Jim have to get themselves real jobs.
00:44:38.000 Jill goes back to being a no-name community college professor studying nonsense at the University of Delaware in sad sack Wilmington.
00:44:47.000 That's why he's staying in the race.
00:44:48.000 Not for the good of America.
00:44:49.000 Not for the good of the Democratic Party.
00:44:50.000 For him.
00:44:51.000 For his family.
00:44:52.000 That's why he's staying in the race.
00:44:54.000 As you can tell, the Biden family not exactly known for its generosity to others, but you can be known that way.
00:45:00.000 You can help others with Cars for Kids.

00:45:52.000 Again, that's cars4kids.org slash Ben.
00:45:56.000 So according to the New York Times over the weekend, Joe Biden huddled up with his family, which means that they surrounded him while presumably giving him some form of dialysis.
00:46:04.000 According to the New York Times, President Biden's family is urging him to stay in the race and keep fighting despite last week's disastrous debate performance, even as some members of his clan privately expressed exasperation at how he was prepared by the event by his staff.
00:46:15.000 People close to the situation said on Sunday, so they're blaming the staff.
00:46:18.000 Of course.
00:46:19.000 Of course.
00:46:20.000 So remember when I said earlier in the show that the aides are now leaking?
00:46:24.000 That's the reason they're leaking, is because Jill and company are like, it was probably the staff's fault that this addled old man soils himself every night.
00:46:32.000 It's probably, it's the night nurse's fault.
00:46:34.000 Obviously, if the bedpan is full, that's the night nurse's fault, not the guy who crapped in the bedpan.
00:46:40.000 Mr. Biden huddled with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
00:46:42.000 Not, not the one, you know, not London Roberts' kid.
00:46:45.000 He still doesn't talk with her.
00:46:46.000 At Camp David, while he tried to figure out how to tamp down Democratic anxiety.
00:46:50.000 By the way, fun trivia fact, Camp David is named after the grandson of Dwight D. Eisenhower, who is still six years younger than Joe Biden.
00:46:58.000 Real fact.
00:46:59.000 While his relatives were acutely aware of how poorly he did against former President Trump, they argued he could still show the country he remains capable of serving for another four years.
00:47:07.000 Mr. Biden has been soliciting ideas from advisors about how to proceed.
00:47:11.000 His staff has been discussing whether he should hold the news conference or sit for interviews to defend himself in changing the narrative.
00:47:16.000 Nothing has been decided yet.
00:47:17.000 They're never putting him in front of a camera again.
00:47:20.000 They're never putting him in front of a camera again.
00:47:23.000 And if they do, they're even bigger fools than they heretofore have been.
00:47:27.000 One of the strongest voices imploring Biden to resist pressure to drop out was his son, Hunter, the smartest person Joe Biden knows.
00:47:33.000 An addled, useless drug addict who is now in his mid-50s and now a convicted felon.
00:47:40.000 That's the person who you need advising on whether to stay in the presidency.
00:47:44.000 Of course Hunter wants him to stay.
00:47:45.000 If it weren't for his dad, Hunter would have been in jail 30 years ago.
00:47:49.000 One of the strongest voices imploring Biden to resist pressure to drop out was his son Hunter, whom the president has long leaned on for advice, said one of the people informed about the discussions, who, like others, spoke on condition of anonymity to share internal deliberations.
00:48:00.000 Hunter Biden wants Americans to see the version of his father that he knows, scrappy and in command of the facts.
00:48:06.000 Is that the version that Hunter knows?
00:48:07.000 I mean, to be fair, that dude does take an awful lot of cocaine.
00:48:11.000 Other family members were trying to figure out how they could be helpful.
00:48:14.000 At least one of the president's grandchildren has expressed interest in getting more involved with the campaign, perhaps by talking with influencers on social media.
00:48:21.000 So this is their genius plan.
00:48:22.000 Their genius plan is keep Deadman in race, but Grandkid will talk with those weird TikTok influencers who keep coming to the White House and sashaying around in ladies' clothing while being male.
00:48:34.000 One of the people informed about the situation said the entire family is united and added flatly the president was not getting out of the race and had not discussed doing so.
00:48:41.000 To be fair, he has not discussed anything for the past three years.
00:48:45.000 He's been too busy drooling into a cup.
00:48:48.000 The anger among Democrats was made evident on Sunday when John Morgan, a top Democratic donor who's close to Biden's brother Frank, publicly blamed the advisors who managed the president's debate preparations, citing by name Ron Klain, Anita Dunn, and Bob Bauer.
00:49:00.000 Biden has for too long been fooled by the value of Anita Dunn and her husband, Morgan wrote on social media.
00:49:05.000 They need to go.
00:49:06.000 Today.
00:49:06.000 The grifting is gross.
00:49:07.000 It was political malpractice.
00:49:10.000 He elaborated, quote, It would be like if you took a prizefighter who's gonna have a title fight and put him in a sauna for 15 hours and then said, go fight.
00:49:16.000 I believe that debate is solely on Ron Klain, Bob Bauer, and Anita Dunn.
00:49:19.000 So naturally, Bauer, Dunn, they're the ones who are all leaking this to the press.
00:49:24.000 A couple of Democrats pointed out family members and Morgan didn't attend the preparation sessions, so they have no idea how it went.
00:49:31.000 One member of Biden's circle said no one was happy with how the debate turned out and it was human nature to look for somebody else to blame.
00:49:38.000 So Biden's family is, of course, Jill leading the way, suggesting he has to stay in.
00:49:42.000 And so she's treating him like a toddler.
00:49:44.000 I mean, honestly, the most humiliating thing for America was was not I'm not even sure it was Joe Biden's performance.
00:49:48.000 It was his wife's treatment of him after the performance, trotting him off the stage, holding his hand the way I would hold either my my now 99 year old grandmother's hand coming down from a stage or my four year old and then treating him like a four year old.
00:50:02.000 You answered all the questions, Joe.
00:50:07.000 Honestly, what a terrible family.
00:50:09.000 Truly, what a terrible family.
00:50:12.000 Just the level of grift, the level of corruption.
00:50:15.000 You kind of feel bad for Biden, except that he bought into it.
00:50:17.000 That's the whole reason he got into this game in the first place.
00:50:20.000 So Team Biden, desperate to respond, they've now issued an email, an astonishing email, to the entire campaign list.
00:50:32.000 Quote, if you're like me, you're getting lots of texts or calls from folks about the state of the race after Thursday.
00:50:37.000 Maybe it was your panicked aunt, your MAGA uncle, or some self-important podcasters.
00:50:41.000 That'd be a reference to the Obama bros.
00:50:43.000 They're literally attacking their own political allies now.
00:50:46.000 It's a tough position to be in.
00:50:47.000 I thought it might be helpful to send you a few responses.
00:50:49.000 Yes, the debate started rough, but voters saw what a threat Donald Trump is to the country.
00:50:54.000 Actual voters perceive this debate very differently than those who pay attention to politics a lot, like everyone who's getting this email and everyone who goes on cable news.
00:51:01.000 People think Joe Biden's old.
00:51:01.000 Breaking news!
00:51:03.000 They did coming into the debate.
00:51:03.000 They do coming out of the debate.
00:51:05.000 At the same time, a lot of people have rose-colored glasses about the Trump years.
00:51:09.000 Flash polls from CNN 538 SurveyUSA Morning Consult and Data for Progress show we expected the debate did not change the horse race.
00:51:16.000 Mm-hmm.
00:51:17.000 Sure.
00:51:19.000 They say the long-term impact of debates is overstated anyway.
00:51:23.000 Let us all remember, Obama lost the first debate in 2012.
00:51:26.000 Bush lost in 2004.
00:51:27.000 Reagan lost the first debate in 1984.
00:51:30.000 Now, I will point out here that none of those debates did the President of the United States effectively die on the stage requiring a ventilator and or the zappers in the chest just to get him back up.
00:51:42.000 The day after the debate, this is again Biden's campaign sending out notes to everybody, Biden gave a fiery defiant speech where he tackled concerns about his age head on.
00:51:50.000 I don't know if you were watching, but Joe Biden left the debate stage, spoke to a rally, went to Waffle House.
00:51:55.000 Waffle House.
00:51:57.000 You know what strength and perseverance it takes to go to Waffle House?
00:52:01.000 You know, like every person?
00:52:03.000 Like, goes to Waffle House?
00:52:05.000 Then he got on a plane!
00:52:06.000 My God, I've never seen anyone get on a plane.
00:52:08.000 Flew to Raleigh?
00:52:10.000 What?
00:52:10.000 To Raleigh?
00:52:11.000 Like, North Carolina?
00:52:13.000 He flew the plane himself?
00:52:14.000 No, he was just in the back.
00:52:15.000 Okay, but he was on a plane.
00:52:17.000 Hung out with 200 supporters on the tarmac?
00:52:19.000 You mean he stood there while there were people?
00:52:21.000 What the?
00:52:22.000 I mean, vibrance, youth, energy.
00:52:25.000 Got back on the plane!
00:52:27.000 Back on the plane.
00:52:29.000 Are you guys following all this?
00:52:30.000 The amazing things that Joe Biden did?
00:52:32.000 He left the debate stage.
00:52:34.000 That's number one.
00:52:36.000 Then he spoke at a rally where he read from a teleprompter.
00:52:38.000 That's two.
00:52:39.000 Then he went to Waffle House.
00:52:40.000 Then he got on a plane, flew there, hung out on the tarmac.
00:52:45.000 Then he went to bed, woke up, gave an amazing speech, got back on the plane, went to New York.
00:52:53.000 Holy crap.
00:52:55.000 Visited Stonewall with Elton John?
00:52:58.000 What?
00:52:58.000 In fact, we have tape of Elton John.
00:53:00.000 They're now relegated, by the way.
00:53:02.000 Just writing out Robert De Niro and Elton John to do the hits for Joe Biden.
00:53:07.000 I will point out at this point that Elton John is a sprightly 77 years old.
00:53:12.000 Two years ago, Jill and I had the honor to host him at the White House and bestow on him the National Humanities Medal, one of America's highest awards.
00:53:22.000 Today, we're honored to be with him again here at Stonewall.
00:53:26.000 Please welcome Elton John.
00:53:30.000 Do we stand up for our vision and our values, or let misinformation and senseless scapegoating turn back the clock?
00:53:38.000 No way.
00:53:43.000 And then Joe Biden laughing like a crazy person in the background.
00:53:46.000 According to the Biden campaign, quote, the bedwetting brigade is calling for Joe Biden to drop out.
00:53:50.000 The bedwetting brigade.
00:53:51.000 His own allies.
00:53:52.000 The bedwetting brigade.
00:53:53.000 That is the best possible way for Donald Trump to win and us to lose.
00:53:56.000 First of all, Joe Biden is going to be the Democratic nominee, period.
00:53:58.000 End of story!
00:53:59.000 End of story!
00:54:01.000 Voters voted.
00:54:01.000 He won overwhelmingly.
00:54:02.000 If he were to drop out, it would lead to weeks of chaos, internal food fighting, a bunch of candidates who limp into a brutal floor fight at the convention, all while Donald Trump has time to speak to American voters uncontested.
00:54:12.000 All that would be in service of a nominee who'd go into a general election in the weakest possible position with zero dollars in their bank account.
00:54:17.000 You want a highway to losing?
00:54:18.000 It's that.
00:54:19.000 This is like, the desperation reeks out of this email.
00:54:22.000 Seven, Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee, period.
00:54:25.000 Rather than worrying about our polls, our supporters are getting on board.
00:54:30.000 Wow, just so impressive.
00:54:32.000 So that is an email that went out to their entire email list.
00:54:35.000 The desperation.
00:54:37.000 So, the Democratic Party is falling right in line, of course.
00:54:40.000 All the politicians are falling in line.
00:54:41.000 They know that he's not going anywhere.
00:54:43.000 So now they're all falling in line.
00:54:44.000 So Jamie Harrison, the DNC chair, he says, we don't hear anybody who wants him to step down.
00:54:48.000 We're not hearing anybody.
00:54:49.000 In fact, we put ourselves in the cone of silence.
00:54:51.000 We're hearing no one.
00:54:53.000 No one is saying he should step down.
00:54:56.000 You hear the hand-wringing coming from pundits, Rev, and from op-eds like the New York Times, but you don't hear it from the people.
00:55:05.000 What I've seen is a galvanization, particularly in the black community, I'm a black man, I've seen a galvanization of support for Joe Biden.
00:55:14.000 Because you know, Rev, in the black community, in your family, you can say all that you want to say about a member of your family, but don't let somebody else say it.
00:55:24.000 Because that's when you unify people in support.
00:55:27.000 And that's what I've seen in terms of support of Joe Biden.
00:55:30.000 Because folks understand us, that Joe Biden has always had our back.
00:55:35.000 And we're gonna have his.
00:55:38.000 Okay, so Jimmy Harrison there is saying that Joe Biden is like a member of black people's families.
00:55:43.000 How?
00:55:46.000 Just gonna ask that like serious question.
00:55:48.000 You went from Barack Obama to that guy?
00:55:50.000 Yeah?
00:55:51.000 Is that how black voters are feeling?
00:55:52.000 I ain't seen it in the polls.
00:55:53.000 Meanwhile, James Clyburn, who's the man who made Joe Biden the president when he basically endorsed him over Bernie Sanders, he says that Joe Biden has to stay in the race.
00:56:03.000 Don't you know?
00:56:03.000 He captivated the audience.
00:56:05.000 Captivated them the next day.
00:56:06.000 Like magic!
00:56:08.000 Like, this guy's one of the great orders.
00:56:10.000 It's like Martin Luther King at the mall.
00:56:13.000 Just an unbelievable oration from Joe Biden capturing the audience.
00:56:17.000 He had them in the palm of his feeble, withered old hand.
00:56:20.000 Here is James Clyburn trying to pick his way through this minefield.
00:56:24.000 He should stay in this race.
00:56:27.000 He should demonstrate, going forward, his capacity to lead the country.
00:56:32.000 I've been hearing from people, even the people on the floor.
00:56:36.000 Yes, there was some trepidation the next morning, but only one of the people I talked to expressed an opinion that Joe Biden should drop out.
00:56:46.000 Everybody else says we need to make some calibrations here going forward, and that's what we need to do.
00:56:54.000 The next day, he gets to North Carolina, he's freewheeling, and he captivated the audience.
00:57:03.000 By freewheeling, he means he's reading directly from a teleprompter.
00:57:06.000 Raphael Warnock, who was widely discussed as a possible replacement for Biden on the ticket treaty dropout, the senator from Georgia, he says that actually this is really about Trump.
00:57:15.000 Both Biden and Trump should take a cognitive exam.
00:57:17.000 That's weird because Trump has offered exactly that and Biden has turned it down.
00:57:20.000 Here's Warnock trying to walk his way through this one.
00:57:23.000 In the course of an election, we ought to test these men.
00:57:28.000 And they ought to be out there in front of the public.
00:57:31.000 We ought to see who they are.
00:57:33.000 And quite frankly, the more I hear Donald Trump talking, the more nervous I become.
00:57:38.000 I don't need to see Donald Trump's cognitive exam.
00:57:42.000 So is that a yes to a cognitive test?
00:57:43.000 Well, listen, I'm not a doctor.
00:57:45.000 Listen, it's not something, quite frankly, I've even thought about.
00:57:48.000 Do you think President Biden should drop out of this race, Senator?
00:57:52.000 Oh, absolutely not.
00:57:53.000 His entire life, his entire life of public service, and over the last four years, he's been showing up for the American people.
00:58:02.000 No, that's the problem.
00:58:03.000 He has not been showing up.
00:58:04.000 He has been sleeping.
00:58:05.000 He's been going to the early bird dinner at Denny's, and then he's been going home and going to sleep at five o'clock in the afternoon.
00:58:12.000 Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi, who herself is in her 80s, she says that Donald Trump has dementia.
00:58:16.000 By the way, nothing says that our politics are in a wonderful state, quite like 80-year-old people yelling at each other that they have dementia.
00:58:22.000 It really is a signal to the rest of the world about our strength, vim, and vigor.
00:58:26.000 Here is Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the House.
00:58:30.000 My people are very much Biden, Kamala Harris, and this is an opportunity for Joe Biden to go out there and show he has the stamina and the rest.
00:58:40.000 And by the way, while the press, and for some reason they don't, there are health care professionals who think that Trump has dementia, that his connection, his thoughts do not go together.
00:58:58.000 Speaking of people who may or may not have dementia, there is your former Speaker of the House.
00:59:02.000 Things are going well here in the United States of America.
00:59:04.000 But here's the reality.
00:59:05.000 Joe Biden ain't going anywhere.
00:59:06.000 He's going to stay in the race.
00:59:07.000 He's going to run this thing all the way to the end.
00:59:09.000 Every time.
00:59:10.000 They're going to have to hide him.
00:59:11.000 That's going to be his campaign.
00:59:12.000 They cannot put him on the stage.
00:59:13.000 They cannot.
00:59:14.000 Not for any prolonged period of time without a teleprompter.
00:59:16.000 There will be no long form interviews.
00:59:17.000 There will be no long-form press conferences.
00:59:19.000 There will not be a second debate.
00:59:20.000 They cannot afford to have Joe Biden in a position where his progressive dementia, because that's what he has, pretty obviously, where his progressive dementia is highlighted.
00:59:29.000 Meanwhile, that's the thing Donald Trump actually should do.
00:59:31.000 He should actually just go to sleep.
00:59:33.000 If he goes to sleep, Donald Trump, right now, he'll wake up President November 6th.
00:59:36.000 It's that simple.
00:59:38.000 Donald Trump should just pursue Joe Biden's 2020 basement strategy.
00:59:41.000 At this point, the election is a referendum on Joe Biden.
00:59:44.000 If it stays a referendum on Joe Biden, Joe Biden will not be President of the United States come November 5th.
00:59:49.000 Okay, meanwhile, while all of this was breaking, there was big Supreme Court news on Friday, and a case called Loper v. Raimondo, so-called Chevron deference, was overruled.
00:59:59.000 So, Chevron deference, there was a case, About 40 years ago, called Chevron the Natural Resources Defense Council.
01:00:07.000 And basically the rule that was established by the Supreme Court is a rule about whether administrative agencies could be the adjudicators of their own interpretation of statute.
01:00:16.000 So to explain, let us say that there was a rule that was passed by Congress and it was a vague rule for the EPA.
01:00:22.000 Environmental Protection Agency.
01:00:23.000 Environmental Protection Agency then proceeded to wildly reinterpret the statute and then bring you up on administrative charges because very often if you violate a statute by the EPA you're not brought to like a regular court for violation of it.
01:00:36.000 You're brought in front of the EPA's administrative judicial panel.
01:00:39.000 And then they will adjudicate whether you owe a fine or not.
01:00:42.000 So people appealed that to the courts and the Supreme Court said, well, hold on.
01:00:47.000 We're not really good at interpreting like vagueness in statute.
01:00:50.000 So we're going to leave it with the experts at the EPA to determine what the statute means and then to apply the statute.
01:00:55.000 Now, what this set up was a real constitutional problem because effectively what it meant is that if Congress abdicated its legislative duty and passed a vague statute that was not clear and then passed it off to the executive branch, Then these unelected administrative agencies would have the power to effectively write stuff in the blanks of the statute, apply the statute judicially, and then enforce it with the executive branch.
01:01:18.000 So we essentially had a dictatorship of the administrators.
01:01:21.000 That's what Chevron set up.
01:01:23.000 Effectively speaking, what it set up was a unified legislative, judicial, and executive branch all inside an unelected body of administrative officials.
01:01:31.000 And the standard under Chevron's deference was that the judiciary would not sign into chat unless the administrative agency was so wildly unreasonable in its interpretation of its own authority and statute that the courts would have to step in.
01:01:46.000 That was the rule.
01:01:48.000 was that basically courts deference, the courts were going to be deferential
01:01:52.000 toward administrative agency in their interpretation of vague statutes,
01:01:56.000 so long as those interpretations were reasonable.
01:01:58.000 So on Friday, that was overruled by the Supreme Court in a 6-3 decision.
01:02:03.000 Held, the Administrative Procedure Act requires courts to exercise their independent judgment
01:02:09.000 in deciding whether an agency has acted within its statutory authority.
01:02:12.000 Courts may not defer to an agency interpretation of the law simply because a statute is ambiguous.
01:02:17.000 Chevron is overruled.
01:02:18.000 Article 3 of the Constitution assigns to the federal judiciary the responsibility and power to adjudicate cases and controversies, concrete disputes, with consequences for the parties involved.
01:02:27.000 The framers appreciated the laws judges would necessarily apply in resolving these disputes would not always be clear, but envisioned the final interpretation of the laws would be the proper and peculiar province of the courts.
01:02:36.000 In other words, not a fourth independent branch of government.
01:02:41.000 The court recognized exercising independent judgment often included according due respect to executive branch interpretations of federal statutes, but that quickly started to turn into unending authority for these various administrative agencies.
01:02:57.000 And so the idea here is that Chevron didn't do its job.
01:03:00.000 Originally, Chevron was designed in order to allow for executive agencies to make statutes more comprehensible and more consistent.
01:03:09.000 And instead, what happened is that every four years, the interpretation of the statutes would change.
01:03:13.000 Whenever the president would be appointed, whenever he'd be elected, he would appoint a new administrator at the EPA, and the administrator would just flip the interpretation of the statute.
01:03:21.000 Which is not the way that statutes are supposed to work.
01:03:23.000 So what is this actually going to do?
01:03:24.000 What's the practical effect?
01:03:25.000 It forces back to Congress specificity in legislation, which is a good thing.
01:03:31.000 The administrative branch of government is not part of the constitutional structure.
01:03:35.000 It was not part of the original constitutional structure.
01:03:36.000 It was a creation of the Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson progressives in the early 20th century.
01:03:41.000 It is foreign to the constitutional bargain made by the founders.
01:03:45.000 It was then given outsized authority on the idea that experts were the best placed in order to both make law, judge law, and then implement law.
01:03:52.000 And all of that was false.
01:03:54.000 And so the judiciary is being treated as a judicial usurpation, like the judiciary is inserting itself where it doesn't belong.
01:03:59.000 No, the judiciary is saying, no, you understand it's our role to interpret statutes.
01:04:03.000 It's your role as the executive branch to administrate statutes.
01:04:07.000 And it is the legislative branch's job to define the statute.
01:04:10.000 And if they do a piss poor job, we're going to be the one to interpret it.
01:04:13.000 That is correct.
01:04:15.000 That is correct.
01:04:16.000 And again, the reason that that is correct Is because, as the Supreme Court says, Chevron's presumption is misguided because agencies have no special competence in resolving statutory ambiguities.
01:04:26.000 Courts do.
01:04:27.000 The framers anticipated courts would often confront statutory ambiguities and expected that courts would resolve them by exercising independent legal judgment.
01:04:34.000 Chevron gravely erred in concluding, the inquiry is fundamentally different just because an administrative interpretation is in play.
01:04:40.000 The very point of the traditional tools of statutory construction is to resolve statutory ambiguities.
01:04:44.000 In other words, administrative agencies always have an interest in Expanding their own power and interpreting statutes in a way that they find friendly?
01:04:53.000 The judges are supposed to not have that same sort of issue.
01:04:56.000 So creating an independent branch of government, in other words, is wrong.
01:05:00.000 Now, again, in reality, the Chevron ruling has been more observed in the breach than in reality.
01:05:09.000 For like the last 10 years, nobody has cited Chevron deference because the courts have basically not applied it.
01:05:14.000 This was just kind of the last step of putting a stake through the heart of Chevron.
01:05:19.000 The Supreme Court says Chevron is unworkable.
01:05:22.000 The defining feature of its framework is the identification of statutory ambiguity, but the concept of ambiguity has always evaded meaningful definition.
01:05:29.000 Such an impressionistic and malleable concept cannot stand as an everyday test for allocating interpretive authority between courts and agencies.
01:05:36.000 This, of course, is exactly correct.
01:05:37.000 The left is freaking out about this because what they actually want is an unappointed government, a deep state, you might say, that actually sits there and interprets laws in ways that the left likes.
01:05:45.000 Permanent employees of the executive branch and the administrative agencies who rule your life.
01:05:49.000 And the Supreme Court now says, nope!
01:05:52.000 If they judge wrong about what a statute means, I can now sue in federal court and no longer will there be this deference to the administrative agency's interpretation of the statutes.
01:06:02.000 That was one big ruling.
01:06:02.000 The other big ruling that happened on Friday Was the Supreme Court raising the bar for obstruction charges against both Donald Trump and January 6th offenders?
01:06:12.000 As Reuters reports, the justices ruled 6-3 to throw out a lower court's decision that had allowed a charge of corruptly obstructing an official proceeding against defendant Joseph Fisher, a former police officer.
01:06:23.000 Typically, a charge of corruptly obstructing an official proceeding, it means that you have to impair the availability or integrity of documents or other records related to an official proceeding, right?
01:06:32.000 When you're obstructing, it means you're destroying documents, or it means you're hiding documents, you're not talking to the cops, or something like that.
01:06:37.000 In a way that, you know, you don't have an excuse for.
01:06:39.000 This is a weird decision, only because Justice Kitanji Brown Jackson actually joined the conservatives.
01:06:48.000 And, meanwhile, Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the liberals in this particular ruling.
01:06:57.000 She wrote a dissent joined by Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
01:07:02.000 So, that's a potential boost, just because these obstruction charges, as we talked about at the time, are way too broad.
01:07:07.000 Obstruction was never meant to apply to, there's a riot.
01:07:10.000 It's weird to apply obstruction to a riot.
01:07:12.000 It's a very strange thing to do.
01:07:15.000 So, again, another good ruling by the Supreme Court.
01:07:17.000 There are a couple more that are coming down today, which I'm sure we'll discuss tomorrow, on the show.
01:07:22.000 Meanwhile, in a final bit of news, The so-called far-right is kicking butt in France.
01:07:27.000 They're not far-right anymore.
01:07:29.000 You can't be far-right when you're winning 34% of the vote in French parliamentary elections.
01:07:33.000 You're just called the right.
01:07:34.000 Macron certainly is not the right in France.
01:07:36.000 Marine Le Pen's national rally, according to the Wall Street Journal, notched a victory in the first round of parliamentary elections across France on Sunday, moving her party one step closer to its goal of winning control of the National Assembly and taking the reins of the government.
01:07:48.000 Emmanuel Macron's pro-business party and its allies finished third with 21%, The commies, the New Popular Front, got 28%.
01:07:56.000 So basically, you now have, in France, one-third of the public is so-called far-right.
01:08:01.000 By far-right, by the way, they don't mean economically right-wing.
01:08:04.000 Far-right just means they don't like vast swaths of Muslim immigrants arriving and destroying the social integrity of France.
01:08:12.000 It also means they don't like far-left social policies.
01:08:15.000 That's kind of what the far-right, the quote-unquote far-right stands for.
01:08:19.000 Oddly enough, they are the pro-Israel party, so this sort of attempt to paint them as anti-Semitic?
01:08:24.000 Weird, because they're the pro-Israel party.
01:08:25.000 Meanwhile, the far left hates Israel.
01:08:28.000 They're out in the streets celebrating by the tens of thousands with red flags, which of course, if you're a normie in France, that's not particularly a swaging of your thoughts and fears.
01:08:38.000 So 33% to National Rally, 28% to the Commies, 21% to Emmanuel Macron's party.
01:08:45.000 If National Rally wins a majority in the National Assembly, Macron would face the possibility of sharing power with the first, quote, far-right government since Vichy France.
01:08:54.000 Macron's presidential term ends in 2027.
01:08:55.000 He said he's not going to resign.
01:08:59.000 So apparently, Le Pen and her allies are within striking distance of a 289-seat majority in the National Assembly.
01:09:04.000 That would compel Macron to select a prime minister from Le Pen's ranks.
01:09:09.000 The person who's most likely to be that is a 28-year-old named Jordan Bardella, He has talked about the evils of what he calls Macronism.
01:09:19.000 He's placed immigration and the rising cost of living at the center of his campaign.
01:09:24.000 If they do not reach that majority, then you could see Macron side with the communists, which is insane.
01:09:30.000 Which would show you where the center is in France.
01:09:32.000 The center is more friendly to the communists than they are to sort of a traditional right-wing party that doesn't like mass immigration.
01:09:38.000 Apparently, National Rally is estimated to win between 255 and 295 seats.
01:09:44.000 The communists were expected to win between 120 and 140 seats.
01:09:48.000 Macron and his allies would win 90 to 125 seats.
01:09:52.000 So this is a political realignment.
01:09:54.000 And by the way, if Macron sides with the communists, the next election after that is going to be a heavy swamp for the right.
01:09:59.000 The right will kick butt in that election, as well they should, because again, France has been run directly into a ditch by people who believe that open immigration And multiculturalism is an actual way to preserve a country, which it clearly, clearly is not.
01:10:12.000 Joining us online is Bernie Moreno, Colombian-American businessman and the 2024 Republican senatorial candidate for Ohio.
01:10:18.000 He is challenging the incumbent Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown.
01:10:21.000 Bernie, thanks so much for joining the show.
01:10:22.000 Really appreciate it.
01:10:24.000 Thank you, Ben.
01:10:24.000 I'm going to see if I could only be the guest that speaks faster than you do, so we can have that in common.
01:10:32.000 Sounds great.
01:10:32.000 So, let's talk about your race.
01:10:34.000 Obviously, the Senate rests on a razor's edge right now.
01:10:38.000 Your race is incredibly important.
01:10:39.000 Ohio is a state that President Trump is expected to win running away.
01:10:43.000 Sherrod Brown is, however, a tough candidate.
01:10:45.000 He's had multiple terms in the Senate.
01:10:47.000 So, what is the biggest falsehood that people seem to believe about Sherrod Brown that you're trying to debunk in this campaign?
01:10:54.000 That he's inevitable, that he's somebody that is a moderate, that he's bipartisan, that he works across party lines.
01:11:01.000 As you know, he's one of the most radical senators in office today.
01:11:05.000 This guy ran for office for the first time after graduating from Yale with a major in Russian studies, just after we had landed on the moon.
01:11:14.000 So this is a guy who's just been around way too long.
01:11:16.000 He's a forever politician.
01:11:18.000 He's not on the side of workers.
01:11:20.000 That's his entire branding.
01:11:21.000 The reality is we've lost 200,000 manufacturing jobs under his watch.
01:11:26.000 His policies are the exact reasons why we've lost those manufacturing jobs.
01:11:30.000 High taxes, high regulation, a tax on energy.
01:11:34.000 We're going to point that out and that's how we're going to win this race.
01:11:38.000 So there has been very little polling data actually in Ohio on the Senate race.
01:11:43.000 The last poll that I've seen is a Marist poll that was almost a month ago at this point.
01:11:47.000 Even in that poll, you were certainly within striking distance.
01:11:49.000 The margin bearer is like four points.
01:11:50.000 He was ahead five.
01:11:52.000 So what is the internal polling showing you right now, especially given the fact that, you know, I know it's fresh, but Joe Biden absolutely collapsed on the stage the other night.
01:12:00.000 That's got to be dragging down Democratic turnout numbers.
01:12:04.000 Yeah, absolutely.
01:12:04.000 Because the reality is when you have an opponent, Sherrod Brown, who votes almost 100% of the time with Joe Biden, we're going to tie those two together.
01:12:14.000 The reality is in the polling, Ben, what it shows is that about 40% of Ohio has no idea who I am.
01:12:21.000 So we are down about even 15 or 16 points with Republicans.
01:12:25.000 So all we have to do is point out, here's what I stand for, energy dominance, a safe and secure border, support of our allies like Israel.
01:12:32.000 Peace and stability around the world.
01:12:35.000 This guy is the exact opposite.
01:12:36.000 He's the senator of high prices and open borders.
01:12:39.000 Once we do that, we make that contrast, I'm confident we're going to retire one more forever politician.
01:12:46.000 We don't need any more of these guys down in Washington D.C.
01:12:51.000 So, obviously, you're a long-time business person.
01:12:54.000 You've seen how the government has impacted businesses in the state of Ohio.
01:12:57.000 You've mentioned Sherrod Brown's policies, his open immigration policies, his subsidization for things like electric car schemes.
01:13:04.000 Talk a little bit about what your industrial policy would look like versus Sherrod Brown's industrial policy.
01:13:10.000 Well, let's talk about EVs first because, as you know, I was in the retail automotive business.
01:13:14.000 I started with one dealership, built a group of 15 dealerships representing 30 brands.
01:13:19.000 I understand one very simple thing.
01:13:22.000 Consumers are the ones that dictate the pace of innovation, the direction of innovation.
01:13:27.000 It's their vote with their pocketbook.
01:13:30.000 That is infinitely more important than some bureaucrats, some unqualified bureaucrats vote in Washington, D.C.
01:13:37.000 We have to get rid of all these mandates, get rid of the incentives, stop allowing California to dictate emission standards for the entire country, and let the marketplace be free.
01:13:48.000 That's number one.
01:13:50.000 Number two, we have to be an energy dominant country.
01:13:53.000 We have to be the preeminent source of coal, natural gas, oil, Nuclear around the world.
01:13:59.000 And by the way, for the climate cultists out there, that's actually better for the planet because we make energy cleaner, safer and better here in America than anywhere else on Earth.
01:14:08.000 And third, regulations.
01:14:11.000 Regulations are absolutely choking businesses, any kind of business.
01:14:15.000 We have to make sure we have appropriate guardrails that let businesses invest and thrive.
01:14:21.000 So, Bernie, when you take a look at the Biden foreign policy that is backed by Sherrod Brown, I've not seen a worse foreign policy from a president in my lifetime.
01:14:29.000 Obviously, the Democratic Senate has been backing him pretty much every step of the way.
01:14:34.000 What would you be doing with foreign policy that is different than how Sherrod Brown has been voting?
01:14:39.000 Well, Sherrod Brown is, just like Joe Biden, willing to turn her backs on Israel for political reasons.
01:14:45.000 That's what's sick about this.
01:14:47.000 They know that Israel should be bipartisan.
01:14:50.000 They know it's our strongest, most important ally in the Middle East.
01:14:53.000 They know that Israel's fighting the war that we would otherwise have to fight, and that the money we give Israel is actually an investment in research and development.
01:15:03.000 They make our weaponry better.
01:15:05.000 So that relationship should be airtight, But because of Michigan and Minnesota, they're willing to absolutely kneecap Israel.
01:15:13.000 We have to provide unequivocal support.
01:15:16.000 The enemies of Israel are looking for that air between America and Israel.
01:15:20.000 We can never let that happen.
01:15:22.000 Sherrod Brown is on the side of the terrorist supporters, the people who want to see Israel destroyed.
01:15:29.000 It's disgusting, it's gross, and we're going to make sure we point that out as well.
01:15:34.000 Folks, it's one of the most important Senate races in the country.
01:15:37.000 It's not just that Bernie Moreno has to beat Sherrod Brown.
01:15:40.000 It's that if Bernie Moreno does not beat Sherrod Brown, then you're going to get a continuation, quite possibly, of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, which is a complete nightmare.
01:15:46.000 Head on over to his campaign website if you want to give.
01:15:49.000 BernieMoreno.com.
01:15:50.000 Again, that's BernieMoreno.com.
01:15:51.000 Bernie, thanks for running.
01:15:52.000 Thanks for what you're doing.
01:15:53.000 Good luck in the race.
01:15:55.000 Thank you, Ben.
01:15:56.000 Alright guys, coming up, the world is reacting to the fact that we don't have a president at the top of our government.
