The Ben Shapiro Show - Take Out Hostages, Win A Prize From Biden-Harris!

00:00:00.000 Folks, there are certain things that we can say on this show only over at DailyWirePlus.

00:00:03.000 So if you want the full uncensored show, like everything that I'm actually saying about this topic, you need to go over to DailyWirePlus and subscribe right now to get the full story.

00:00:12.000 In just a second, I want to talk about the nature of true evil and the West's unwillingness to confront And realize that that evil exists in the first place.

00:00:20.000 First, I just want to remind you in 10 days, our first ever theatrical release, Amiracist hits theaters nationwide.

00:00:25.000 Matt Walsh infiltrated the left's DEI circus.

00:00:28.000 It's more crazy and absurd than you can possibly imagine.

00:00:30.000 It might make you think, it will definitely make you laugh.

00:00:32.000 Go to amiracist.com for tickets and showtimes right now.

00:00:36.000 Okay, so over the weekend, absolutely horrifying news.

00:00:40.000 Six Israeli hostages, including one Israeli American, whose parents spoke at the DNC.

00:00:47.000 You recall them, the parents, the Goldberg-Poland parents, they spoke at the DNC about how their son was being held hostage by Hamas in terror tunnels.

00:00:58.000 There's a hundred hostages, many of them already dead, who are being held by Hamas.

00:01:02.000 But over the weekend, Israel found the bodies of six hostages, Hirsch Goldberg-Poland, Aidan Yerushalmi, Ori DeNino, Alex Lobanov, Carmel Gott, and Elmog Saroussi.

00:01:12.000 I know the parents of at least one of these hostages met the mother of Ori Danino here in Florida not all that long ago.

00:01:19.000 She obviously been praying for the safe return of her son.

00:01:22.000 It's not just that the bodies of the hostages were found.

00:01:24.000 It's how they were found.

00:01:26.000 So you'll recall that last week Israel freed a Bedouin Muslim Israeli citizen who was found in one of the terror tunnels.

00:01:34.000 Well, at about that time, apparently, Hamas terrorists shot to death those six hostages.

00:01:40.000 According to the Times of Israel, the six dead hostages recovered from the Gaza Strip over the weekend were killed 48 to 72 hours before their autopsy.

00:01:48.000 So the absolute horror of that, keeping these six hostages alive for over 300 days, and then shooting them.

00:01:56.000 In the back of the head, which is precisely what happened, underscores how deeply evil Hamas is. 0.93

00:02:01.000 The entire situation turned into war because the IDF, the Israeli Defense Force, went into Gaza in order to dismantle Hamas, in order to destroy their infrastructure, in order to take over the Philadelphia Corridor, which is the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip.

00:02:13.000 In order to take over the Netarim Corridor, which runs across the middle of the Gaza Strip and establish military control.

00:02:18.000 And a lot of the talk turned to how Israel was prosecuting the war.

00:02:21.000 Could they do it faster?

00:02:22.000 Could they do it quickly?

00:02:23.000 Could they do it with more humanitarian aid and all the rest of that?

00:02:26.000 And that's been the discussion basically since October 15th or so.

00:02:30.000 But everybody forgot.

00:02:32.000 Everybody went to sleep on just how evil Hamas is.

00:02:34.000 And that was the big reminder. 0.99

00:02:35.000 The big reminder is that these are human monsters who are willing To hold hostages for over 300 days, and then shoot them in the head to prevent them from being liberated. 0.98

00:02:47.000 Because that's presumably what happened here. 0.75

00:02:49.000 The IDF said it did not have the exact location of the hostages, but had indications of a general area where the six could be held.

00:02:54.000 It was operating carefully in the area.

00:02:58.000 According to Daniel Hagari, who is the spokesperson for the IDF, troops began to search a tunnel complex some 20 meters underground on Saturday and found the hostages dead in the afternoon.

00:03:07.000 Their bodies were extracted from Gaza overnight and brought to Israel for identification.

00:03:11.000 Hamas itself has said that they effectively shot these people because the IDF was getting near.

00:03:16.000 Now, that is not a change in policy for Hamas.

00:03:18.000 Hostages who have been freed in earlier hostage deals, they've said that they were told by their Hamas captors that if the IDF got close, they would be And this is what Hamas does. 0.95

00:03:30.000 This is why Yahya Sinwar, who's the head of Hamas, who is hiding underground right now, he apparently has surrounded himself, according to reports, by upward of 20 hostages, presumably including women and children, hoping that Israel will leave him alone because otherwise he's going to threaten to shoot the women and shoot the children.

00:03:48.000 The spokesman for the military wing of Hamas had said that following Israel's successful hostage rescue in Nusayrat in June, new protocols were given to terrorists guarding the abductees if Israeli troops were approaching them.

00:04:00.000 But that's not actually new.

00:04:01.000 We knew that from a long time ago, that they had said that they were going to shoot hostages if the Israelis got close.

00:04:06.000 Then, Hamas, just to add insult to injury, decided that they were going to release hostage videos, like the last videos of the various hostages.

00:04:16.000 And they're heartbreaking.

00:04:17.000 I don't want to play them here because frankly it's doing the work of Hamas. 1.00

00:04:21.000 There's been contemporaneous documentation found in the terror tunnels that in which Hamas explains what they're attempting to do.

00:04:27.000 Their attempt is to be so brutal and so vicious and so evil that it creates serious political schisms within Israeli society.

00:04:35.000 Benjamin Netanyahu obviously was facing the Prime Minister of Israel a lot of political schisms well before You remember, massive protests in the streets over judicial reform, which was a debate effectively about how to appoint the judiciary and what the powers of the judiciary would be.

00:04:47.000 You had hundreds of thousands of people in the streets who are angry at Netanyahu, not just because of judicial reform, but because they don't like the current coalition government in Israel, the elected government of the state of Israel.

00:04:57.000 And that's normal democracy in action.

00:04:59.000 People going to the streets and protesting.

00:05:01.000 I may disagree with them.

00:05:03.000 Doesn't matter.

00:05:04.000 That's kind of normal stuff.

00:05:06.000 It is.

00:05:06.000 I mean, we have that in the United States, too.

00:05:07.000 We have lots of protests in the United States.

00:05:08.000 You have it in every westernized country.

00:05:10.000 However, since then, there's been an extraordinary degree of unity in Israel.

00:05:16.000 What Hamas is attempting to do right now is murder hostages in the most brutal possible way in order to generate outrage at Netanyahu's government.

00:05:24.000 We'll get to more on this topic in a moment.

00:05:25.000 First, did you know there's nearly $1 trillion of infrastructure and pandemic funds yet to be spent?

00:05:30.000 That is correct.

00:05:31.000 There's a massive If Biden is able to push those funds out, we could see another inflation surge, just like during COVID.

00:05:44.000 I'm sure you remember the terrible effects high prices have on most Americans.

00:05:47.000 There is hope a surge in prices can be beaten.

00:05:49.000 A gold IRA from Birchgold Group is the ultimate inflation hedge for your savings in uncertain times.

00:05:54.000 To see how to protect your IRA or 401k, get your free info kit on gold by texting the word BEN to 989898.

00:06:01.000 There's more good news.

00:06:02.000 Due to enormous demand, Birch Gold is offering the 24 karat gold-plated truth bomb for one more month on qualifying purchases.

00:06:08.000 But you need to text Ben to 989898 to claim your eligibility before September 30th.

00:06:13.000 Don't wait for the President's spending spree to tank the dollar again.

00:06:15.000 Protect your financial future with gold.

00:06:17.000 Text Ben to 989898.

00:06:19.000 Claim your eligibility.

00:06:20.000 Make your purchase before September 30th.

00:06:22.000 Again, don't wait for another spending spree to create inflation.

00:06:25.000 Instead, text Ben to 989898.

00:06:27.000 Claim your eligibility.

00:06:28.000 Make your purchase before September 30th.

00:06:30.000 Now you understand why people in Israel, particularly in the areas that don't like Netanyahu, they're just looking for an outlet for their rage and their anger because who wouldn't be if Americans were being held en masse hostage by a foreign country and then those Americans were being murdered systematically?

00:06:46.000 Then presumably there would be shock and outrage among the American public, too.

00:06:50.000 You'd get large-scale protests, you would imagine, against the sitting government.

00:06:53.000 You understand that even though there's not really a good political rationale for it, meaning it's not clear what these protesters want the Israeli government to do.

00:07:00.000 Do they just want Israel to surrender to Yahya Sinwar and Hamas? 0.84

00:07:04.000 Because Hamas's demands right now involve the complete surrender of Israel in the Gaza Strip in order to presumably preserve the lives of some of these hostages.

00:07:13.000 And we don't even know how many of them are left because the disgusting International Red Cross has not even gone in and done its basic duty in ascertaining how many of these hostages are alive or providing them humanitarian care.

00:07:24.000 They don't care about any of that.

00:07:25.000 So, what does that mean?

00:07:27.000 That means that they want Israel to abandon the so-called Philadelphia Corridor, which is the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.

00:07:33.000 That was just honeycombed with terror tunnels through which enormous quantities of weaponry and machinery and, yes, terrorists were smuggled through from Egypt to Gaza and vice versa.

00:07:45.000 Israel has taken over the Philadelphia Corridor, that border.

00:07:48.000 They've also taken over, as I say, the Netarim Corridor, which is about halfway through the Gaza Strip, in order to establish military control.

00:07:55.000 Sinwar wants Israel to not only pull all military facilities out of the Gaza Strip, leaving him in charge, he also wants Israel to release hundreds of murderous terrorists.

00:08:06.000 Including a whole new leadership cast for Hamas.

00:08:10.000 So, in order to obtain these hostages, he wants Israel to surrender. 0.64

00:08:14.000 No country worth its salt can do that.

00:08:16.000 That is not something that any country can actually do.

00:08:20.000 Because if the idea is that when bad guys take your citizens hostage, you just surrender to them, you're not going to have a country for very long.

00:08:27.000 They can always just take hostages and hold them for the next concession.

00:08:32.000 This is a point that Netanyahu made over the weekend.

00:08:35.000 So when this was first announced, he pointed out that the entire world has decided, and this is where this matters to the West, because now why isn't this like a local regional issue?

00:08:43.000 Obviously, there's been a very long-standing conflict.

00:08:45.000 It's not going away anytime soon.

00:08:47.000 Why is this of interest?

00:08:48.000 This is of interest because on one side, you have a free democracy.

00:08:53.000 That is, allied with the West.

00:08:54.000 And on the other side, you have legitimately the world's worst terror group.

00:08:58.000 And somehow, the West has found a unique way to decide that that terror group deserves compassion, deserves concession, deserves some level of recognition and decency. 0.88

00:09:10.000 When in reality, every member of Hamas, up to and including the leadership, deserves nothing but death.

00:09:15.000 Because that is what they have brought upon themselves through their violation of basic human norms and standards of just basic human decency. 0.98

00:09:23.000 The worst people on earth are Hamas. 0.98

00:09:25.000 The worst people. 1.00

00:09:27.000 They make ISIS look like a picnic. 1.00

00:09:28.000 That's who these folks are. 0.95

00:09:30.000 And this notion from the West that Israel therefore is the one that needs to be pressed to make concessions to the terrorists is totally insane and speaks to an ulterior political motive on the part of Americans and Brits who are pushing this sort of nonsense.

00:09:44.000 The reality is the only way to win a war is to actually win the war.

00:09:49.000 The reason that the West has not won a war since World War II is because it has forgotten that basic notion that the way to win a war is to win a war.

00:09:55.000 If you look at the entire history of Western military conflict, when the West wins, it's not because there is some sort of peace agreement that is signed.

00:10:03.000 It's because its enemies are utterly defeated.

00:10:06.000 When its enemies are utterly defeated, then the West wins. 0.82

00:10:08.000 And there is a long period of peace.

00:10:11.000 And when that doesn't happen, then conflict tends to break out very quickly thereafter.

00:10:16.000 You cannot leave Hamas in place but the fact that the West is even considering leaving Hamas in place or creating a quote-unquote Palestinian state which would immediately be run and staffed by the very same people who are currently holding hostages and their best friends in the Palestinian Authority Islamic Jihad is totally insane.

00:10:33.000 Here's Netanyahu making the perfectly obvious point that when you shoot hostages it's a pretty good indicator you're not looking for a ceasefire deal.

00:10:39.000 Hamas is continuing to steadfastly refuse all proposals.

00:10:43.000 Even worse, at the exact same time, it murdered six of our hostages.

00:10:48.000 Whoever murders hostages does not want a deal.

00:10:52.000 For our part, we will not relent.

00:10:55.000 The government of Israel is committed, and I am personally committed, to continue striving towards a deal that will return all of our hostages and ensure our security and our existence.

00:11:08.000 Now, the way that the left operates internationally is the idea that there is a moral relativism between places like Israel and Hamas, or for that matter, between America and ISIS, or America and Al Qaeda, that all of these people have their grievances.

00:11:21.000 And because they have their grievances, really those grievances can be alleviated by a kinder, gentler West.

00:11:26.000 That concessions are what make the world go round.

00:11:28.000 That diplomacy is the answer, rather than, you know, killing people who take women and children hostages.

00:11:34.000 This is insanity.

00:11:36.000 It's crazy.

00:11:36.000 But that sort of pressure is extraordinarily high because, again, it's an easier way of life to believe that everybody is good.

00:11:42.000 Everybody is not good.

00:11:43.000 Human beings all have the capacity for good and evil.

00:11:46.000 It's a basic biblical teaching.

00:11:48.000 All human beings have a capacity for good, and they also have a capacity for evil.

00:11:52.000 This is something the Founding Fathers well understood.

00:11:54.000 In Federalist 51, James Madison talks about the idea that men are not angels and men are not devils.

00:11:58.000 We're somewhere in between.

00:12:00.000 What that means is that some people cultivate the devil within to such an extent that they are able to do things like holding innocent civilians hostage in terror tunnels for 300 days and then murdering them instead of allowing them to be liberated in order to establish an Islamic caliphate in the Gaza Strip and then, hopefully, they think, over Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

00:12:22.000 So Netanyahu, there's a lot of domestic pressure on him again.

00:12:25.000 A lot of what's going on right now in the streets of Israel has very little to do, really, with the hostages because there's no deal to be made with a group of people who want to murder every Jew possible.

00:12:36.000 What it really has to do with is just a pent-up anger at Netanyahu's government.

00:12:40.000 There may be good reasons for that, there may be bad reasons for that, but the idea that there's any sort of deal to be made and that really what happened with the hostages is somehow on Netanyahu in some way is an insane proposition on its face.

00:12:54.000 So, Prime Minister Netanyahu has a lot of domestic pressure on him right now.

00:12:56.000 A lot of that is being actually created by the Biden administration and by Joe Biden, who's been sleeping on a beach.

00:13:01.000 But not all of us have the ability to just go to sleep on a beach somewhere.

00:13:04.000 We actually need a good mattress.

00:13:06.000 Let me tell you a story.

00:13:07.000 A couple years back, I was tossing and turning all night, probably from the stress of, you know, living with Democrats.

00:13:12.000 My wife would joke that I was having debates with imaginary libs in my sleep. 1.00

00:13:15.000 Then we decided to try that Helix mattress.

00:13:17.000 Let me tell you, it's been an absolute game changer.

00:13:19.000 Here's what's great about Helix.

00:13:20.000 They have 20 different mattresses.

00:13:22.000 20.

00:13:22.000 It's like the electoral college of sleep.

00:13:25.000 They've got the Lux for you fancy types, and the Elite for the extra fancy, and even the Helix Plus for the bigger folks.

00:13:30.000 You know, the strong masculine men that the left hates.

00:13:33.000 Now, you might be thinking, Ben, How do I know which one is right for me?

00:13:35.000 Simple.

00:13:35.000 You take that Helix Sleep Quiz.

00:13:36.000 It's quick.

00:13:43.000 Here's another great thing about Helix.

00:13:58.000 In fact, nearly all of them.

00:13:59.000 So if you want to sleep as soundly as I do, head on over to HelixSleep.com slash Ben.

00:14:02.000 Take that sleep quiz.

00:14:03.000 Plus, with Helix offering up to 25% off all mattress orders plus two free pillows for our listeners, it'll be the best decision you've made since voting for Donald Trump.

00:14:10.000 Just go to HelixSleep.com slash Ben.

00:14:12.000 That's HelixSleep.com slash Ben with Helix.

00:14:14.000 Better sleep starts right now.

00:14:15.000 Even more insane is the proposition that if Netanyahu were replaced, suddenly the conflict would end and everything would be hunky-dory. 0.92

00:14:21.000 That, of course, is ridiculous as well.

00:14:23.000 In any case, Netanyahu gave a pretty amazing speech yesterday in which he laid out specifically why he is not caving, why he is not conceding, why he is not going to simply give up the Philadelphia corridor because Hamas demands it. 0.60

00:14:39.000 The axis of evil needs the Philadelphia Corridor, and for that reason, we must control the Philadelphia Corridor.

00:14:46.000 Hamas insists for that reason that we not be there, and for that reason, I insist that we be there. 0.53

00:14:55.000 Now, the narrative that you are hearing in the media today, because the media is a left-wing tool, the narrative you're hearing from the Biden-Harris administration, both Biden and Harris, the narrative you're hearing is that Netanyahu hasn't made enough concessions.

00:15:06.000 To whom?

00:15:08.000 To Hamas? 0.84

00:15:09.000 The people who just murdered an American?

00:15:11.000 Joe Biden was sleeping it off in Rehoboth Beach, but Hamas was murdering an American. 0.71

00:15:16.000 He doesn't care.

00:15:18.000 He says he met with the hostage families.

00:15:19.000 Really, what has he done?

00:15:20.000 What has he actually done?

00:15:21.000 There are things that the United States could have done to bring pressure on Hamas.

00:15:24.000 Joe Biden has done virtually none of them.

00:15:27.000 But it really begins, again, it begins and ends with this leftist narrative that there is some sort of moral equivalence or parity in all human relations, which means that when someone is evil, the more, if you believe in moral relativism, if you believe that it's just a matter of perspective, then what that means is that the more evil you are, the more there must be a justification to your evil, because otherwise you wouldn't be evil.

00:15:48.000 If you are a moral relativist, the way that the left is when it comes to these matters, Then your belief is, the more evilly you behave, the more you have been victimized. 0.99

00:15:57.000 The victim- victimizer matrix is undefeated in terms of stupidity and immorality. 0.99

00:16:01.000 So, take a look at the headlines from the legacy media over the murder of these six hostages. 1.00

00:16:08.000 CNN.

00:16:08.000 Israeli-American hostage, Hirsch Goldberg-Poland, has died, his family says.

00:16:13.000 Has died is definitely a- did he die of old age?

00:16:16.000 Is that what happened?

00:16:17.000 Here's what actually happened to Hirsch Goldberg-Poland.

00:16:20.000 He was at the NOVA festival.

00:16:21.000 He had his arm by Hamas.

00:16:23.000 They then took his arm.

00:16:26.000 They kept him alive for 300 days and then they shot him.

00:16:29.000 That's what actually happened to Hirsch Goldberg Poland.

00:16:31.000 But according to CNN, he quote, has died.

00:16:34.000 BBC's headline, Israel says bodies of six Gaza hostages recovered.

00:16:38.000 Oh, what happened to them?

00:16:40.000 What happened to them?

00:16:42.000 I mean, I feel like that's kind of relevant.

00:16:43.000 What, how did, what happened?

00:16:45.000 How did they die?

00:16:48.000 Again, CNN, Israeli-American hostage has died.

00:16:52.000 Well, he, you know, just natural, of natural causes, was it cancer?

00:16:58.000 And the willingness to obscure the evil of Hamas, and it's a deliberate willingness. 0.88

00:17:02.000 There's only one way that headline gets written, and that's because you wish to obscure it.

00:17:05.000 Sky News, Israeli hostages confirmed dead after army finds six bodies in Gaza.

00:17:09.000 Again, the story is that they were murdered in the last Five days.

00:17:14.000 That's the story.

00:17:15.000 They were kept alive.

00:17:16.000 I mean, imagine, just take a second to put yourself in the shoes of the hostages for one second, that you were in your own home or you're at a music festival, you were taken hostage by the world's worst vicious human beings.

00:17:26.000 You were held alive underground with the shred of hope that maybe the IDF would find you for 300 days.

00:17:33.000 And then as the IDF grew close, they put you down on your knees and they shoot you in the back of the head.

00:17:39.000 That's what happened to these people.

00:17:40.000 And the headline from the legacy media is, they died.

00:17:44.000 Just randomly.

00:17:45.000 It must have been a car accident, or something.

00:17:49.000 So, Joe Biden's initial response, he put out an initial statement, did Joe Biden, and his initial statement said, quote, earlier today, in a city, in a tunnel under the city of Rafah, Israeli forces recovered six bodies of hostages held by Hamas.

00:18:03.000 Now, first, we should point out, Israeli troops would have been in Rafah in February or March if it had not been for the Biden administration, which withheld munitions from the Israelis to prevent them from doing operations in Rafah.

00:18:16.000 And Israel kept saying, we need to go into Rafah to go get our hostages and to extirpate Hamas.

00:18:20.000 And the United States, including Kamala Harris, as we'll see, kept saying, don't go in there. 0.96

00:18:23.000 You mustn't go in there.

00:18:24.000 It'll be terrible if you go in there.

00:18:26.000 The reason Hamas did not want Israel to go in there is because it was a Hamas stronghold.

00:18:31.000 They did not want Israel to shut down the terror tunnels to Egypt.

00:18:34.000 They do not want Israel to find hostages and free them.

00:18:38.000 Biden continues, we have now confirmed that one of the hostages killed by these vicious

00:18:41.000 Hamas terrorists was an American citizen, Hersh Goldberg-Polen.

00:18:44.000 I am devastated and outraged.

00:18:45.000 Well, as we'll see, there's a lot more that Joe Biden could have done,

00:18:48.000 but he was too busy sleeping and being senile.

00:18:51.000 Hirsch was among the innocents brutally attacked while attending a music festival for peace in Israel on October 7th.

00:18:55.000 He lost his arm helping friends and strangers during Hamas's savage massacre.

00:18:58.000 He had just turned 23.

00:18:59.000 He planned to travel the world.

00:19:01.000 I've gotten to know his parents, John and Rachel.

00:19:03.000 They've been courageous, wise, and steadfast, even as they've endured the unimaginable.

00:19:06.000 They've been relentless and irrepressible champions of their son and of all the hostages held in unconscionable conditions.

00:19:11.000 I admire them and grieve with them more deeply than words can express.

00:19:14.000 I'm sure that means a lot to them.

00:19:15.000 I know all Americans tonight will have them in their prayers, just as Jill and I will.

00:19:19.000 I've worked tirelessly to bring their beloved Hirsch safely to them, and I'm heartbroken by the news of his death.

00:19:23.000 It is as tragic as it is reprehensible.

00:19:25.000 Make no mistake, Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes, and we'll keep working around the clock for a deal to secure the release of the remaining hostages. 0.83

00:19:32.000 Then how do you plan to hold them responsible for their crimes?

00:19:35.000 Seriously, we're going to negotiate with Al Qaeda, and we're going to hold Osama bin Laden responsible for his crimes, are mutually exclusive. 0.70

00:19:43.000 We are going to hold Hamas responsible for the murder of an American, and we need to negotiate with Hamas to get to a deal, a deal they won't accept except for full-scale surrender. 0.81

00:19:52.000 Those are mutually exclusive. 0.99

00:19:54.000 And then Biden, because he's a cretin, I mean, just both intellectually and morally, he's a cretin. 0.98

00:20:00.000 He was asked yesterday, he makes his way back after 17 days of vacation. 0.97

00:20:04.000 Mr. President, do you think it's time for Prime Minister Netanyahu to do more on this issue?

00:20:14.000 Do you think he's doing enough?

00:20:23.000 No.

00:20:26.000 No, Netanyahu's not doing enough.

00:20:28.000 No.

00:20:29.000 How about every shred of blood is on Hamas's hands? 0.83

00:20:31.000 Literally, they just shot hostages.

00:20:34.000 And his first response is, Nitin Nahu needs to do more.

00:20:36.000 The Israeli government needs to do more.

00:20:38.000 Does he understand what kind of damage he just did? 1.00

00:20:40.000 I'm sure he doesn't, he's a moron. 1.00

00:20:41.000 But let me explain. 1.00

00:20:44.000 When people shoot hostages, and your first move is to put pressure on the other party,

00:20:50.000 you are telling them to keep shooting hostages.

00:20:53.000 You are telling them to keep upping the ante.

00:20:54.000 The more hostages they shoot, the more pressure Biden-Harris will bring on the Israelis in favor of Hamas.

00:21:00.000 That's what that response means. 0.98

00:21:02.000 It's absolutely disgusting. 0.96

00:21:04.000 Truly disgusting. 0.87

00:21:07.000 The UK is doing the same thing, by the way. 0.87

00:21:08.000 No shock there.

00:21:09.000 The Labour Party, under Keir Starmer, the Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, announced on the same weekend On the same weekend, al-Khamas shot six hostages, including

00:21:17.000 an American.

00:21:18.000 The foreign secretary, David Lamey, announced an embargo on arms to Israel.

00:21:22.000 It is with regret that I inform the House today, the assessment I have received

00:21:30.000 leaves me unable to conclude anything other than that for certain UK arms exports to Israel,

00:21:38.000 there does exist a clear risk that they might be used to commit or facilitate a serious violation

00:21:46.000 of international humanitarian law.

00:21:48.000 You So they're cutting off weapons that could be used for quote unquote offensive purposes.

00:21:56.000 Which is what we generally just call weapons.

00:21:58.000 And today are four.

00:22:00.000 We'll continue on that in just a moment.

00:23:01.000 So the UK in the middle of this conflict is taking the side of Hamas.

00:23:04.000 They're cutting off weapons supplies to Israel on the same weekend that Hamas shot six hostages.

00:23:09.000 So here's the thing.

00:23:10.000 The West could do things.

00:23:12.000 So Richard Goldberg, who is a senior advisor at the Foundation for Defense of Democracy.

00:23:17.000 He says, here's some things that the United States could do, that Congress could do.

00:23:21.000 They could revoke all sanctions waivers issued for Iran, which is the sponsor state for Hamas. 0.97

00:23:25.000 They could strip Qatar of its major non-NATO ally status and impose sanctions on al-Jazeera, because Qatar is the home of the political wing of Hamas.

00:23:33.000 They could withhold aid to Lebanon and Egypt, considering that Lebanon is currently facilitating Hezbollah in Israel's north, and Egypt is trying to open the border with Hamas in the Philadelphia Corridor.

00:23:44.000 They could ban Turkish airlines and Qatar Airways from the United States, both of which are sponsor states of terrorism. 0.95

00:23:50.000 They could mandate 60-day reporting to Congress on assets connected to Hamas in Turkey, Qatar, or other countries to force sanctions designations.

00:23:57.000 They could do all of that.

00:23:59.000 That's one thing they could do.

00:24:01.000 There's another thing they could do, and that is, Biden-Harris could make clear that for every day the hostages are held, America will recognize 100 square dunam, which is about half an acre, of Gaza as a permanent Israeli buffer zone.

00:24:13.000 For every murdered hostages, a thousand square dunam.

00:24:16.000 It's a proposal by the professor at George Mason Law, Eugene Kontorovich, and he's right. 1.00

00:24:22.000 Because if there is no actual pressure placed on Hamas, Hamas doesn't care. 0.79

00:24:26.000 Here's the thing.

00:24:27.000 Hamas does not care how many Palestinians die.

00:24:28.000 They don't. 1.00

00:24:29.000 In fact, they want Palestinians to die. 0.97

00:24:30.000 The more Palestinians die, the more they go to the international community about how it's not their fault, it's Israel's fault, and more pressure should be put on Israel. 0.96

00:24:38.000 That's literally the reason they hide terror tunnels under civilian areas. 0.90

00:24:42.000 They want Palestinians to die for the cameras. 1.00

00:24:45.000 Again, these are the worst people in the world. 0.99

00:24:48.000 The only thing they don't want is a reduction in their territory or loss of control.

00:24:53.000 Israel's already threatening loss of control. 0.84

00:24:55.000 The other thing that could threaten them is a permanent loss of territory.

00:24:59.000 A permanent loss of territory, not just territorial control, territory proper, would actually put pressure on them.

00:25:04.000 Will the United States and the international community do anything like that to free hostages?

00:25:07.000 Of course not.

00:25:08.000 They'll put pressure on Israel to surrender. 0.70

00:25:11.000 That's what they'll do.

00:25:12.000 And by the way, it's not just Joe Biden, it is also Kamala Harris.

00:25:16.000 Kamala Harris put out a statement on the death of Hersh Goldberg-Pollan, the murder of Hersh Goldberg-Pollan, and she said, Doug and my prayers are with John Poland and Rachel Goldberg Poland, Hirsch's parents, and with everyone who knew and loved Hirsch.

00:25:28.000 When I met with John and Rachel earlier this year, I told them, you are not alone.

00:25:31.000 That remains true as they mourn this terrible loss.

00:25:34.000 As is said in the Jewish tradition, may Hirsch's memory be a blessing. 0.97

00:25:38.000 Hamas is an evil terrorist organization. 0.95

00:25:40.000 With these murders, Hamas has even more American blood on its hands. 0.98

00:25:42.000 I strongly condemn Hamas's continued brutality, and so must the entire world. 0.96

00:25:47.000 Okay, all of that is exactly right.

00:25:47.000 of 1,200 people to sexual violence, taking up hostages in these murders, Hamas's depravity

00:25:51.000 is evident and horrifying. 0.57

00:25:52.000 The threat Hamas poses to the people of Israel and American citizens in Israel must be eliminated.

00:25:56.000 Hamas cannot control Gaza. 0.87

00:25:58.000 The Palestinian people, too, have suffered under Hamas's rule for nearly two decades." 0.94

00:26:01.000 Okay, all of that is exactly right.

00:26:03.000 And then where does she go?

00:26:04.000 Quote, As Vice President, I have no higher priority than the

00:26:07.000 safety of American citizens wherever they are in the world.

00:26:10.000 President Biden and I will never waver in our commitment to free the Americans and all those held hostage in Gaza.

00:26:16.000 And then she calls, and has called, for a ceasefire.

00:26:21.000 So Hamas, they're as bad as the Nazis. 0.99

00:26:23.000 They're awful. 1.00

00:26:24.000 They're evil. 1.00

00:26:24.000 They can't be left in control of Gaza. 1.00

00:26:25.000 Also, we should leave them in control of Gaza and Israel should surrender in order to obtain the hostages. 0.81

00:26:29.000 And we won't apply any mechanisms of serious pressure to Hamas via its either proxies or its sponsor states.

00:26:37.000 We won't do any of that stuff.

00:26:38.000 We'll pressure Israel instead. 1.00

00:26:40.000 And here's a reminder about how stupid Kamala Harris is on foreign policy. 1.00

00:26:43.000 This is back in March when she warned the Israelis not to go into Rafah because she's looked at maps. 0.99

00:26:49.000 We have been clear in multiple conversations and in every way that any major military operation in Rafah would be a huge mistake.

00:27:02.000 Let me tell you something.

00:27:03.000 I have studied the maps.

00:27:06.000 There's nowhere for those folks to go.

00:27:08.000 And we're looking at about a million and a half people in Rafah who are there because they were told to go there, most of them.

00:27:14.000 And so we've been very clear that it would be a mistake to move into Rafah with any type of military operation.

00:27:24.000 That's this genius back in March.

00:27:26.000 Kamala Harris, what a genius she is.

00:28:31.000 By the way, if Israel had gone in March, much better chance they saved the hostages.

00:28:35.000 So, did she answer any questions on this over the weekend?

00:28:36.000 Of course not.

00:28:37.000 So she got out of her car and now she's doing the routine that you used to do to avoid talking with people at the office.

00:28:43.000 She's gonna pretend that she's on the phone. 0.51

00:28:46.000 So she gets out of the car to avoid people yelling at her questions.

00:28:50.000 She has her earphones in as she walks from her car to the plane.

00:28:54.000 Here we go.

00:28:59.000 She's probably on the phone.

00:29:01.000 Now, she's just talking to the... She's talking to everybody she's waving. 0.81

00:29:04.000 Now she's gonna pretend she's listening.

00:29:06.000 But, um... Here she goes. 0.77

00:29:08.000 She's going up.

00:29:08.000 I notice that she's not talking to anybody.

00:29:11.000 Because there's no one on the phone.

00:29:12.000 She will do anything to avoid questions.

00:29:14.000 Anything.

00:29:16.000 Anything.

00:29:16.000 And then she turns around, and her phone is to her ear!

00:29:20.000 Okay, I just have a question.

00:29:21.000 Is that how earphones work?

00:29:23.000 No?

00:29:23.000 And when you have earphones connected to your phone, and they're in your ears, you also put the phone up to your ear?

00:29:29.000 Is that a thing that you do frequently?

00:29:31.000 Or is this all fakery just to get out of questions?

00:29:32.000 I think we know the answer because Tim Walz did the same thing.

00:29:34.000 So Tim Walz was doing one of his state fair campaigns.

00:29:37.000 He's such an irritating human being, Tim Walz, honest to God.

00:29:40.000 Like the faux joviality, which is just a mask for total tyrannical subjugation of his own state during COVID and an ugly hatred of a huge swath of America. 1.00

00:29:54.000 This clown. 0.97

00:29:55.000 So, he's speaking to the press at Minnesota State Fair. 0.98

00:29:57.000 He answers a bunch of questions.

00:29:58.000 The minute he's asked about the dead hostages, he turns and walks away.

00:30:03.000 What's your reaction to the six hostages being found dead in Gaza?

00:30:08.000 Thanks, everybody.

00:30:10.000 Alright, bye.

00:30:11.000 Bye, he's got his ice cream to eat.

00:30:13.000 What's his reaction to the dead hostages being found in Gaza?

00:30:15.000 We'll catch you later.

00:30:16.000 Now, why is he walking away?

00:30:17.000 The reason he's walking away is because he has no idea what his position is.

00:30:20.000 I mean, we know his position in Minnesota, which was to make nice with Ilhan Omar and the rest of the anti-Semitic crew, but he doesn't know what his position is, so he just walks away.

00:30:28.000 And that is the essence of the Western response to true evil in the world.

00:30:32.000 The Western response to true evil in the world, basically since the fall of the Soviet Union, and certainly in the post-Iraq War era, has been to pretend that evil doesn't exist and everyone can be negotiated with, and that concessions to some of the world's most evil people bear fruit and peace, when precisely the opposite is true.

00:30:49.000 Netanyahu, again, gave a speech on Sunday and a press conference to a bunch of reporters who hate his guts.

00:30:54.000 And he asked a question.

00:30:55.000 He said, OK, so a few days ago, the State Department, including Tony Blinken, said that I had accepted a deal and the pressure was on Hamas.

00:31:02.000 Nothing in the deal changed.

00:31:03.000 Now you have Joe Biden saying I'm not doing enough.

00:31:05.000 What changed in the last five days other than hostages were murdered and the Biden administration hates Netanyahu and wants him out, which is really what this is about.

00:31:12.000 This is about the Biden administration for months attempting to oust the Netanyahu government in favor of what they think will be a friendlier government.

00:31:20.000 And again, that is because of personal relations between Netanyahu and Biden and the Democratic Party.

00:31:24.000 And it's also just because the Democratic Party believes that a more conciliatory, concession-based government in Israel will somehow lead to regional peace.

00:31:33.000 Which is insane.

00:31:33.000 It has always led to more regional war.

00:31:35.000 Every single time.

00:31:36.000 Every single Israeli concession has led to more war in the region. 0.92

00:31:39.000 Every single one.

00:31:40.000 The only possible exception has been the Egypt-Israel peace deal, in which they gave up the Sinai in 1978 at Camp David Accords.

00:31:47.000 That is the only one.

00:31:48.000 And even that one now seems to be turned on its head given the fact that Egypt has facilitated the entry of armaments and terrorists into the Gaza Strip via the Philadelphia Corridor, which again is the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

00:32:00.000 Here's Netanyahu saying, I don't understand.

00:32:02.000 You guys said five days ago that I had accepted all the conditions you were putting down, and now you're putting the pressure on me?

00:32:06.000 What's the deal?

00:32:09.000 What has changed in the last five days?

00:32:12.000 What has changed?

00:32:14.000 One thing.

00:32:16.000 These murderers, six of our hostages, they shot them in the back of the head.

00:32:23.000 That's what's changed.

00:32:26.000 And now after this, We're asked to show seriousness?

00:32:32.000 We're asked to make concessions?

00:32:35.000 What message does this send Hamas? 0.98

00:32:38.000 It says, kill more hostages, murder more hostages, you'll get more concessions. 0.98

00:32:43.000 The pressure internationally must be directed at these killers, at Hamas, not at Israel. 0.99

00:32:52.000 He's obviously correct.

00:32:54.000 He's obviously correct.

00:32:55.000 Then he lays out the timeline.

00:32:56.000 He says, you know, you keep saying that I haven't done enough to release the hostages.

00:32:59.000 I've accepted a wide variety of deals.

00:33:01.000 Hamas has never accepted any of the deals since the very first deal, which they immediately broke.

00:33:06.000 I was asked whether Israel is not, I'm not doing enough to the release of hostages.

00:33:17.000 Well, I want to set the record straight.

00:33:21.000 On April 27th, Secretary of State Blinken said that Israel made an extraordinarily generous offer for a hostage deal.

00:33:32.000 On May 31st, Israel agreed to a U.S.-backed proposal.

00:33:38.000 Hamas refused.

00:33:40.000 On August 16th, Israel agreed to what the United States defined as a final bridging proposal.

00:33:49.000 Hamas refused again.

00:33:51.000 On August 19th, Secretary Blinken said, Israel accepted the U.S.

00:33:57.000 proposal.

00:33:58.000 Now Hamas must do the same. 0.98

00:34:03.000 But then he reversed himself.

00:34:05.000 Why?

00:34:06.000 Because the hostages were shot and because the pathological response of a West that has apparently outlived its ideological sell-by date is conceding to the most evil people in the world.

00:34:18.000 Again, this is the bigger problem.

00:34:19.000 The bigger problem for the West is not what happens in Israel.

00:34:23.000 That is just a bleeding tip of the spear indicator.

00:34:26.000 It is the fact that you have hundreds of thousands of people who march in the West on behalf of Hamas and Hezbollah.

00:34:30.000 It is the fact that the West has not won outright a war in decades.

00:34:35.000 The reason for that is because the West is apologetic about its own values.

00:34:39.000 It's apologetic about the vast moral gap between it and its enemies.

00:34:42.000 Since the end of the Cold War, the West has been pathologically incapable of simply facing up to the problem of human evil, labeling it for what it is, and recognizing that the only solution to evil is victory over it.

00:34:54.000 Not conciliation with it.

00:34:55.000 Not diplomacy aimed at temporary ceasefires with it.

00:35:00.000 Destruction of the evil.

00:35:02.000 Otherwise, it just keeps going.

00:35:04.000 Otherwise, it just keeps going.

00:35:06.000 When you exert pressure on the party that had hostages taken from it and shot in the back of the head by an Islamist terrorist group.

00:35:13.000 When you exert pressure on that party, it demonstrates your own lack of moral credibility and your own complicity in the evil itself.

00:35:21.000 In just a second, we'll get to how this plays in the 2024 campaign.

00:35:25.000 Because it turns out this is part and parcel of a broader take on foreign policy that Donald Trump should be hammering the Biden-Harris administration over.

00:35:31.000 First, we are 10 days away from our first ever theatrical release, Am I Racist?

00:35:35.000 Mark your calendars for Friday, September 13th.

00:35:36.000 The joke is on the left, the only way to see it is on the big screen.

00:35:40.000 Matt Walsh goes deep undercover to infiltrate the weird, dirty world of race hustlers and grifters. 0.97

00:35:44.000 Watch as he hilariously exposes the absurd truth behind the left's agenda.

00:35:47.000 Theaters are selling out across the country.

00:35:49.000 When they do, more screens are added.

00:35:50.000 So, if you've been to MIRacist.com and you didn't see a theater in your city, go check again.

00:35:55.000 Be part of the greatest troll on the left ever performed.

00:36:01.000 Now, again, this is all part and parcel of a Western belief that American military force, that Western military force, that force of arms against the world's most evil people is somehow bad, which is why the Biden-Harris administration sees the Afghanistan pullout not as what it was, a massive debacle, a failure of not just imagination, but of practical application.

00:36:22.000 They don't see that.

00:36:24.000 As what it is, a full-scale disaster for America that has led to great-scale aggression by Russia, by China, by Iran.

00:36:30.000 Instead, they see it as victory.

00:36:31.000 Kamala Harris has treated Afghanistan as a victory.

00:36:35.000 The only sin, apparently, according to Kamala Harris, with regard to Afghanistan, is that Donald Trump went and visited the graves of dead troops at Arlington National Cemetery last week.

00:36:45.000 That is the big sin.

00:36:46.000 So, Kamala Harris put out a statement over the weekend, reading thusly, As Vice President, I've had the privilege of visiting Arlington National Cemetery several times.

00:36:55.000 It is a solemn place, a place where we come together to honor American heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of this nation.

00:37:01.000 It is not a place for politics.

00:37:02.000 And yet, as was reported this week, Donald Trump's team chose to film a video there, resulting in an altercation with cemetery staff.

00:37:08.000 Let me be clear, the former president disrespected sacred ground all for the sake of a political stunt.

00:37:14.000 I will always honor and cherish the service and sacrifice of all America's fallen heroes, No, you'll just get them killed, won't you? 0.99

00:37:27.000 You'll just get them killed. 0.94

00:37:29.000 Kamala Harris was the last person in the room on Afghanistan. 0.99

00:37:32.000 She has celebrated every aspect of the Afghan pullout.

00:37:35.000 She never got in contact with any of the families of the troops.

00:37:37.000 The big sin is that Donald Trump recognized the failures of the Biden administration and went and paid homage to the troops.

00:37:43.000 That's the big problem here.

00:37:45.000 But we're supposed to believe that it's all about optics.

00:37:48.000 It's the optics of how she treats the troops, not the underlying disdain she has for the reality of power politics in a world filled with nefarious powers.

00:37:58.000 The great failure of the Biden administration is that American troops died because they were weak.

00:38:02.000 Because Biden and Harris are weak.

00:38:04.000 That is why those troops died.

00:38:06.000 The reason that we have what we have in Ukraine is because Biden and Harris are weak in the face of aggression.

00:38:11.000 The reason that China is consistently threatening Taiwan is because Biden and Harris are weak.

00:38:15.000 The reason Iran is still blowing up shipping in the Red Sea is because Biden and Harris are weak.

00:38:21.000 That weakness leads to people dying.

00:38:24.000 And the reason that they refuse to see this is because to say the opposite would be to recognize a truth the left cannot bear.

00:38:31.000 And that truth is, again, the problem of human evil and the reality, which is that Western civilization is less evil than its competitors.

00:38:38.000 Period.

00:38:39.000 End of story.

00:38:41.000 But Harris and company will never acknowledge that.

00:38:43.000 Because to them, Western civilization boils down basically to their favorite economic and social policies.

00:38:49.000 That's what Western civilization boils down to.

00:38:51.000 It doesn't boil down to constitutional rights and freedoms.

00:38:53.000 It doesn't boil down to Christian-based natural law.

00:38:56.000 It doesn't boil down to any of those things.

00:38:58.000 It boils down instead to gay pride flags and welfare state. 0.50

00:39:02.000 That is what democracy means to the left.

00:39:07.000 And what that also means is that anybody all over the world who is, quote-unquote, suffering, who is, quote-unquote, victimized, is actually victimized by Western society.

00:39:17.000 Success is a hallmark of victimization, according to Kamala Harris and company.

00:39:21.000 That perverse perspective is why evil progresses in the world whenever the left is in charge in the West.

00:39:29.000 Tom Cotton was making this point over the weekend on the Sunday shows.

00:39:32.000 Here he was ripping into Kamala Harris.

00:39:34.000 You know who the family's also invited?

00:39:36.000 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

00:39:37.000 Where were they?

00:39:38.000 Joe Biden was sitting at a beach.

00:39:40.000 Kamala Harris was sitting at her mansion in Washington, D.C.

00:39:42.000 She was four miles away.

00:39:44.000 Ten minutes.

00:39:45.000 She could have gone to the cemetery and honored the sacrifice of those young men and women.

00:39:50.000 But she hasn't.

00:39:51.000 She never has spoken to them or taken a meeting with them.

00:39:54.000 They did meet with them during the dignified transfer.

00:39:57.000 They were with them at the dignified transfer.

00:39:59.000 Her and Joe Biden's incompetence, those 13 Americans were killed in Afghanistan.

00:40:06.000 By the way, Joe Biden was checking his watch during the dignified transfer ceremony.

00:40:10.000 As you recall, President Trump put out a statement, quote, I want to thank the families of our great

00:40:14.000 warriors who have been lost to us for the way they came together as one. And thank me for attending

00:40:17.000 at their request, the celebration of their wonderful family members who, because of the

00:40:21.000 incompetence of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, are no longer with us.

00:40:24.000 Thank you for saying you wanted me to stand with you at Arlington National Cemetery and take pictures, that it was your request, not mine, but it was my great honor to do so.

00:40:30.000 I will never forget.

00:40:32.000 The fact that Harris tried to play the great sin as Donald Trump going to visit the graves as opposed to her not going to visit the graves and being complicit in the decision-making that got those people killed says everything about Kamala Harris.

00:40:45.000 Meanwhile, the former compatriots of Tim Walz and the National Guard, he of course is her vice presidential candidate, they went on Megyn Kelly over the weekend and ripped into Tim Walz for his stolen valor.

00:40:58.000 He's a military impersonator.

00:41:00.000 I don't understand how he could do it morally for, you know, he's got absolutely no integrity.

00:41:06.000 The rumor went across the state that he had quit, and it was like, who the hell does that?

00:41:11.000 I mean, it was just unbelievable that a CSM abandoned his troops, you know, 500 soldiers, basically.

00:41:17.000 But beyond that, there's a thousand parents out there that expect that person to lead those people into combat. 0.99

00:41:24.000 He's a habitual liar. 0.99

00:41:25.000 He lies about everything. 1.00

00:41:27.000 He lies about stuff that doesn't make sense.

00:41:29.000 You're taking a piece of their thunder and you're trying to capture it and putting it in a bottle for yourself and use that for your own benefit.

00:41:35.000 He basically said, I've got better things to do.

00:41:38.000 You know, go pick somebody else to go on a mission.

00:41:41.000 What if you sold out your guard unit and abandoned them?

00:41:44.000 I mean, what are you going to do at the national level?

00:41:46.000 Fear is a reaction.

00:41:48.000 Bravery is a decision.

00:41:50.000 And Walls has made the wrong decision.

00:41:55.000 He's not brave. 0.98

00:41:57.000 I call him a coward, because he is. 0.99

00:42:01.000 So, this is a campaign that is filled with holes. 0.99

00:42:02.000 It's a problem.

00:42:03.000 But you know what they're going to fill that hole with?

00:42:05.000 The moral hole at the center of this campaign?

00:42:07.000 They're going to fill it with vibes. 1.00

00:42:08.000 Their record sucks. 1.00

00:42:09.000 They have a perverse view of how foreign relations works. 1.00

00:42:12.000 Their view on American economic policy is full-scale disastrous.

00:42:15.000 And they happen to not be particularly wonderful people.

00:42:17.000 But they have the vibes, and Kamala Harris knows it. 0.98

00:42:20.000 It's all vibes, all the way down.

00:42:22.000 Kamala Harris was on the campaign trail.

00:42:24.000 It was vibes and Biden on the campaign trail over the weekend.

00:42:27.000 She says basically the mission is just get through the next 64 days.

00:42:30.000 That's it.

00:42:30.000 And they know.

00:42:31.000 They know.

00:42:31.000 Don't talk about policy.

00:42:33.000 Don't say anything of substance.

00:42:34.000 Just get through the next couple of months.

00:42:36.000 Hide it from the American people and maybe you'll sneak through. 0.99

00:42:40.000 Let's just get through the next 64 days.

00:42:41.000 How about that?

00:42:47.000 By the way, her campaigning has become more and more mannered.

00:42:50.000 She's dragging out every different accent in every different place she can. 0.98

00:42:54.000 She got terrible Local theater actor, truly.

00:42:58.000 Here, for example, is Kamala Harris speaking in Detroit and Pittsburgh.

00:43:01.000 These are a few hours apart.

00:43:03.000 Listen to the change in accent.

00:43:06.000 You better thank a union member for sick leave.

00:43:09.000 You better thank a union member for paid leave.

00:43:12.000 You better thank a union member for vacation time.

00:43:18.000 Thank unions for sick leave. 0.97

00:43:21.000 Thank unions for paid family leave.

00:43:25.000 Thank unions for your vacation time.

00:43:30.000 Notice the change in accent?

00:43:31.000 One was in Detroit, one was in Pittsburgh.

00:43:33.000 So when she's in Detroit, she sounds like Foghorn Leghorn.

00:43:35.000 You better thank a union member!

00:43:37.000 You better thank a union member!

00:43:39.000 You better!

00:43:40.000 And then, she goes to Pittsburgh, and she sounds like she is attending the University of Pennsylvania in the Biz Ed program. 0.98

00:43:48.000 It's just, it's ridiculous. 1.00

00:43:50.000 She's a ridiculous person. 1.00

00:43:51.000 It's all vague sloganeering. 1.00

00:43:53.000 It's all vibes and nothing else. 0.93

00:43:57.000 Her campaign, I mean, she literally just goes out there and says Nostrum-based crap like, we know what we're fighting for and forward. 0.99

00:44:03.000 And this is supposed to be a campaign. 0.97

00:44:05.000 Here she was over the weekend.

00:44:07.000 We know how they play.

00:44:09.000 We know what they do.

00:44:13.000 So let's not pay too much attention to the polls.

00:44:17.000 Let's know, like labor always does, we are out here running like we are the underdog in this race because we know what we are fighting for.

00:44:30.000 We know what we stand for and that's why we know what we fight for.

00:44:35.000 As we fight to move our nation forward, Donald Trump intends to pull us back to the past.

00:44:42.000 But we're not going back.

00:44:49.000 And there's that crazy laugh.

00:44:50.000 It's going to get worse, folks.

00:44:51.000 It's going to get worse as this campaign goes on.

00:44:53.000 Joining us on the line is Ambassador David Friedman.

00:44:56.000 He was the U.S.

00:44:56.000 Ambassador to Israel from March 2017 until January 2021 under Donald Trump.

00:45:01.000 And he, of course, successfully guided unprecedented diplomatic achievements in the U.S.-Israel relationship, including the Abraham Accords and the United States Embassy being moved to Jerusalem.

00:45:11.000 He has a brand new book out today titled One Jewish State, The Last Best Hope to Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

00:45:16.000 Ambassador Friedman, great to speak with you.

00:45:19.000 Thanks, Ben.

00:45:19.000 Great to be with you as well.

00:45:22.000 So obviously, let's start with the news of the weekend.

00:45:25.000 Horrifying news out of Israel as six bodies are found in a terror tunnel held by Hamas.

00:45:31.000 Six hostages for over 300 days in the back of the head, including an Israeli-American.

00:45:35.000 And the first response, apparently, of the rest of the world is to tell Israel to make more concessions to Hamas.

00:45:41.000 That includes the current president of the United States, Joe Biden, who awakened from his torpor in Rehoboth Beach to explain that Benjamin Netanyahu was apparently not doing enough.

00:45:50.000 What's your take on the situation?

00:45:53.000 I was horrified by that.

00:45:54.000 And I'll tell you why, you know, um, you know, Israel's going through a massive trauma since October 7th.

00:45:59.000 And that trauma was, you know, was relived again a couple of days ago when these six hostages were found dead.

00:46:05.000 And look, there are political divides in Israel and everybody knows that.

00:46:10.000 Uh, but for, for Biden to say, uh, on a day like yesterday or two days ago, whenever he said it, that Bibi Netanyahu was not doing enough to free the hostages.

00:46:20.000 Not only is it absolutely false, but it pours gasoline on a fire of America's most important ally.

00:46:28.000 I mean, the people of Israel need some comfort.

00:46:30.000 They need a hug.

00:46:31.000 They don't need to be told that their democratically elected leader doesn't care about the hostages, which is an absolute lie.

00:46:37.000 An absolute lie.

00:46:38.000 And you know what the proof of it is?

00:46:40.000 Because you know this as well.

00:46:41.000 You know, unfortunately in Israel and in America, everything leaks constantly.

00:46:48.000 I mean, any story is out in about 5-10 minutes.

00:46:52.000 So, here's the story that no one ever wrote.

00:46:55.000 What was the deal?

00:46:58.000 How many hostages were being released and when?

00:47:00.000 What was the price?

00:47:01.000 How many murderers were being released?

00:47:03.000 What was happening to Sinwar?

00:47:05.000 What was happening to Mashallah?

00:47:06.000 What was happening to Gaza?

00:47:07.000 Who was gonna rule over it?

00:47:08.000 Was Israel getting out or, you know, you know, permanently getting out temporarily?

00:47:12.000 What was?

00:47:13.000 The answer is no one knows because there was no deal.

00:47:16.000 And the idea of accusing Netanyahu at a time when he's fighting for his life, for the life of the country, is the worst political stunt, the most obnoxious political stunt I've ever seen anybody pull.

00:47:28.000 And they should be ashamed of what they did.

00:47:33.000 Ambassador Friedman, for those Americans who look at the conflict in the Middle East and they say, why does this even matter to us?

00:47:37.000 Why is this something that actually we should care about?

00:47:40.000 Why isn't this just a faraway conflict in a distant land?

00:47:43.000 I think what this speaks to, the reaction of the Biden administration, or say the UK government, which is cutting off weapons to Israel in the middle of a war, it speaks to a new kind of Western idea since the end of the Cold War, That the West does not deserve to defend itself.

00:47:56.000 That when something terrible happens to the West, it probably is because the West has been too harsh.

00:48:00.000 It's because the West itself has brought it upon itself.

00:48:03.000 It's all backlash.

00:48:04.000 Why should what's going on in Israel matter to people who don't live in the region?

00:48:10.000 Well, in the first place, it's disrupted everybody's lives.

00:48:12.000 I mean, look at how those who hate our country have mobilized upon this war to foment, you know, insurrection everywhere.

00:48:25.000 I mean, you can't go to college in America anymore in the blue states.

00:48:29.000 You just can't go.

00:48:29.000 I mean, you know, I have friends whose kids, you know, they're paying lots of money for tuition.

00:48:33.000 They can't go to class.

00:48:35.000 Because this war has has mobilized a current within the United States.

00:48:40.000 that is Marxist, Communist, anti-American, and wants to destroy us.

00:48:44.000 And those that want to destroy Israel want to destroy America, and Israel is the tip of the spear.

00:48:49.000 And as goes Israel, ultimately, that's the Western world. 0.96

00:48:52.000 I mean, that's the tip of the Western world.

00:48:53.000 They're fighting the front closest to our enemies.

00:48:56.000 And so, there's a direct line between how Israel does and prosecutes this war and defends itself, and how the rest of the Western world... I mean, look, you see, London is unlivable.

00:49:07.000 Paris is unlivable.

00:49:08.000 Why?

00:49:09.000 Because these countries have followed exactly what you pointed out.

00:49:14.000 We need to commit national suicide as a way of self-governance, and we can't do that.

00:49:20.000 We're 10 years behind London on this.

00:49:23.000 We can't do it, and Israel can't do it. 1.00

00:49:27.000 And I would add one thing, Ben, which is that, you know, the Bible still sells 2,000 copies an hour in America, 20 million copies a year.

00:49:35.000 People care about the Bible.

00:49:36.000 It's the last authentic, you know, anchoring wisdom and values that we have left in our country.

00:49:42.000 And we're losing that as well.

00:49:43.000 But that's all we got left is the Bible or the values, the Judeo-Christian values of that book.

00:49:49.000 And that book lives in the land of Israel.

00:49:52.000 You know, if you want to authenticate the stories, the events, the archeology.

00:49:57.000 You go there and you get to recharge your batteries and it matters, it matters to a lot of people

00:50:01.000 and it should matter because again, that is the wellspring of the values

00:50:04.000 that made America a great country.

00:50:06.000 So Ambassador Freeman, your book, One Jewish State, The Last Best Hope 0.90

00:50:10.000 to Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict posits something that has become taboo,

00:50:14.000 which is the claim that the best solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is Israeli sovereignty,

00:50:21.000 not only in what is now termed inside the Green Line Israel, but also in Judea and Samaria known as the West Bank.

00:50:27.000 What's the case for that?

00:50:28.000 Because the case that's always been made is that a two-state solution is the best.

00:50:32.000 There has to be a self-governing Palestinian state in which Palestinians govern Palestinians and Israelis govern Israelis.

00:50:37.000 The case that you make is the opposite.

00:50:38.000 You essentially say that's never going to happen.

00:50:40.000 So why exactly should Israel govern areas like, say, Nablus or Jenin that are entirely Palestinian but are obviously honeycombed with terrorism as well?

00:50:51.000 So look, we start off with the point you made.

00:50:54.000 The two-state solution, we now demonstrably know it won't work because we have Attempted to establish that in Gaza about 17 years ago, and they were given lots of money.

00:51:05.000 There's not a single Jew living there, not a single boot of any American soldier there.

00:51:09.000 They were given billions of dollars.

00:51:10.000 The territory is beautiful, western-facing Mediterranean, and they took all the money, all the billions of dollars, they elected Hamas, and they created one of the most vile terrorist states ever known to man. 0.83

00:51:21.000 OK, that's the two-state solution.

00:51:22.000 That would be replicated as well in Judea and Samaria if there were a Palestinian state there, even in places like Area A, which is a component under Oslo of Judea and Samaria, which is entirely Arab.

00:51:34.000 Those places have now become hotbeds of terrorism, as you say, in Jenin and Ramallah, and the Israeli defense forces have to go there to keep the peace.

00:51:43.000 Making the case that a two-state solution has failed and will continue to fail is pretty easy.

00:51:47.000 It's pretty straightforward.

00:51:48.000 You'd have to be blind not to know that.

00:51:50.000 Now the question is, what do you do?

00:51:51.000 So the question is, is there anybody that can rule over Judea and Samaria that has a track record of empowering an Arab minority?

00:51:59.000 Well, you know, you don't have to look far for that, right?

00:52:01.000 It's the state of Israel.

00:52:02.000 20% of the state of Israel are Arab citizens.

00:52:06.000 More than 20% of Haifa University, Be'er Sheva University, Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University are Arabs.

00:52:13.000 The Arabs have assimilated and penetrated into Israeli society in a very positive way.

00:52:20.000 I have dear friends who are at the pinnacle of business and science in the state of Israel.

00:52:26.000 You break your leg and you go to Hadassah Hospital, you're probably going to get an

00:52:28.000 Arab orthopedic surgeon who will do a very good job in treating you.

00:52:33.000 So Israel is the only country that can export into this very kind of dangerous, unstable 1.00

00:52:39.000 area the kind of governance and values that will enable the locals, the Palestinians,

00:52:46.000 to have a standard of living that rises up to that of Israeli Arabs.

00:52:49.000 That's number one.

00:52:50.000 Number two is for those who care about biblical Israel and those who care about places like Shiloh and Hebron and Bethlehem and the Old City of Jerusalem.

00:53:05.000 If Israel doesn't maintain sovereignty over those places, they're gone. 0.72

00:53:08.000 I mean, the Palestinians, given the opportunity, as they have done, for example, with the grave of Joseph in Nablus, they will destroy any connection, this is their goal, to destroy any connection of the Jewish people, of the Christian faith, to this holy land. 1.00

00:53:20.000 I mean, this is land, this is where Jesus walked, this is where the kings ruled, the prophets preached.

00:53:24.000 These are not places that can be given away.

00:53:26.000 And I believe that even the secular Israelis, even the far left in Israel who kind of never wanted to get too close to the Bible, never get too close to their ancient history, wanted to recreate Israel in their own image, even they are recognizing right now that this land is really the DNA of the Jewish people and essential to people who observe the Christian faith.

00:53:46.000 And we can't give it away.

00:53:47.000 And if we can't give it away, we need to come up with a system to keep it under Israeli sovereignty. 0.70

00:53:52.000 And of course, my final point is that There'll be no security.

00:53:57.000 No security in the region until Israel is able to rule over this land. 0.99

00:54:01.000 Israel can rule over the land, they can keep the peace.

00:54:03.000 And that's the best thing for Jordan.

00:54:04.000 It's the best thing for the Saudis, the Emiratis. 1.00

00:54:07.000 It's the best thing for the Palestinians who live in Judea and Samaria. 1.00

00:54:12.000 So when people say to me, you know, you're a colonizer, you're an apartheidist.

00:54:15.000 No, no, this is a plan.

00:54:17.000 You can like it whether you're on the left or you're on the right, whether you're secular, whether you're religious, it's the best outcome for everyone.

00:54:23.000 It's actually the unfinished business.

00:54:25.000 That Donald Trump and I and Jared and others were working on when we left office.

00:54:29.000 I mean, this is the unfinished business, trying to find a solution that works for all.

00:54:34.000 And if people keep an open mind, this is a far better solution to the two-state solution, which is a failure.

00:54:41.000 So, Ambassador Friedman, obviously the big objection to anything like this is, how does voting work?

00:54:45.000 So, the claim is, let's say Israel takes sovereignty, annexes the Judea and Samaria regions of what people call the West Bank.

00:54:54.000 Let's say that they do that.

00:54:55.000 Obviously you have millions of Palestinians who are living there.

00:54:57.000 They're not voting now, obviously.

00:54:58.000 They haven't voted in an election since like 2004.

00:55:00.000 So Mahmoud Abbas is now in year 18 of a four-year term.

00:55:04.000 And obviously voting is not taking place in the Gaza Strip.

00:55:06.000 But the supposition is that now living in democratic Israel, they should be granted a vote in the Israeli parliament.

00:55:12.000 If that were to happen, then almost immediately you would have a vying for control over the actual democratic auspices of the state of Israel.

00:55:19.000 So how do you square that circle?

00:55:21.000 How do you make it so that Israel can maintain all this control over this area without falling into the trap of either a radicalized Arab minority taking control of the entire state or the quote-unquote apartheid state accusation that essentially there's a second-class citizenship being provided for Arab citizens.

00:55:39.000 So look, you know, Israel, if it took over Judea and Samaria, it will inherit a large, somewhat radicalized at this point, Arab population and it will work with its partners to try to de-radicalize that by creating opportunities for the Palestinians there.

00:55:57.000 But Israel can't, you know, swap, if you will, a security threat for a demographic threat. 0.84

00:56:02.000 They can't.

00:56:02.000 It just can't be done.

00:56:03.000 I mean, Israel is a Jewish state, and that's why the book is called One Jewish State, because we're only asking for one Jewish state. 0.82

00:56:08.000 You know, there's 40-plus Muslim countries in the world, right, where you've got to be Muslim. 0.96

00:56:13.000 There's Christian countries, there's Hindu countries, there's Buddhist countries.

00:56:16.000 We're just saying kind of one Jewish state, which means that the national character of the state of Israel, the collective right of self-determination, which is part of the Israeli nation state law, has to be Jewish.

00:56:26.000 Within that umbrella, you'll have governance.

00:56:31.000 I use the example, for example, of Puerto Rico and the United States.

00:56:34.000 Puerto Rico is a wholly owned territory of the United States.

00:56:38.000 Its people are citizens of the United States.

00:56:40.000 They don't vote.

00:56:41.000 Puerto Rico does not vote in a national election.

00:56:43.000 Neither does Guam, neither does America, Samoa, or other places.

00:56:46.000 No one accuses America of being an apartheid state.

00:56:48.000 So we'll have to work on the governance.

00:56:50.000 I mean, I think the Palestinians living in their communities

00:56:52.000 should have civilian autonomy.

00:56:54.000 You know, they'll elect their mayors, they'll elect their governors.

00:56:56.000 or so they'll.

00:56:57.000 Possibly, you know, if we're getting into serious discussions, we can talk about taxation and how they'll have representation in taxation.

00:57:03.000 You know, possibly, you know, we can go in different directions and just say, look, there are seven or eight principles of Israel that you need 90% of the population to vote in favor of.

00:57:11.000 And, you know, which is another way of maintaining the Jewish character of the state of Israel.

00:57:15.000 There's ways to do it.

00:57:16.000 To me, that's a detail.

00:57:17.000 To let that detail get in the way Of de-radicalizing the West Bank, of giving away the biblical heritage of the Jewish and the Christian people, and to creating another terror state that will simply do to Israel in spades ten times what Gaza did. 0.60

00:57:34.000 It's a problem we're going to be able to fix.

00:57:37.000 I have no doubt it's fixable if people take this seriously.

00:57:42.000 Well, the book is One Jewish State, The Last Best Hope to Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

00:57:45.000 The author is Ambassador David Friedman, of course, who is ambassador to Israel under Donald Trump.

00:57:50.000 David, thanks so much for the time.

00:57:51.000 Really appreciate it.

00:57:53.000 It's my pleasure, Ben.
