00:01:30.000 Alrighty.

00:01:31.000 So, yesterday, OSHA suspended its VAX mandate.

00:01:35.000 They did so because the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals had essentially Put a hold on it.

00:01:40.000 They said that there were serious constitutional and statutory issues with the OSHA vaccine mandate.

00:01:44.000 You'll remember that that mandate was set to kick into place at the beginning of January.

00:01:48.000 And it said that if you had over 100 employees, you had to force your employees to vax, test, or be fired.

00:01:53.000 That was the mandate.

00:01:55.000 And we at the Daily Wire, we filed maybe the first case, first lawsuit against it in the nation, certainly the first lawsuit at the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

00:02:03.000 Well, now there are cases right now in all 12 circuits.

00:02:06.000 Those are going to be consolidated and sent over to the Sixth Circuit after there was a little bit of a lottery.

00:02:10.000 They actually use lottery balls to pick which circuit would get to consolidate the cases were in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

00:02:15.000 That's our case, which means that the Daily Wire is now leading the case for the nation against OSHA.

00:02:22.000 Now, the whole that's been put on is a victory for the moment.

00:02:25.000 When I say for the moment, I mean that the Biden administration says that they will continue to force the OSHA VAX mandate the minute that a court says that it's okay for them to do so.

00:02:34.000 However, that's why this is the first step.

00:02:37.000 That's why it's important to help support us here at Daily Wire in pushing back against the vaccine mandate because this will be adjudicated by a panel for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

00:02:45.000 Then it will likely be appealed over to the Supreme Court.

00:02:48.000 So this is just the beginning of the battle.

00:02:49.000 And we are calling on all other businesses to do what we have done.

00:02:52.000 So we at Daily Wire said day one, we would not comply with this unconstitutional vaccine mandate.

00:02:58.000 We are not going to do it.

00:02:59.000 From the get-go.

00:03:01.000 And a lot of businesses, they said, well, you know, maybe you can afford that or maybe you're willing to undertake that risk.

00:03:06.000 But we are not because obviously the federal government can come after us.

00:03:10.000 So we will attempt to comply with the VAX mandate, even though it has not yet gone fully into force.

00:03:15.000 Well, now it's not in force at all.

00:03:17.000 And so if you're a freedom-minded business, do not make it easy for the federal government by doing what the federal government wants you to do.

00:03:23.000 Instead, stand up for the freedom of your employees.

00:03:26.000 That is what we've done at Daily Wire.

00:03:27.000 That's what we're pushing everybody to do.

00:03:28.000 Head on over to dailywire.com right now and sign our petition.

00:03:32.000 The way that it works is that OSHA has a hearing period for all of their regulations.

00:03:37.000 Not the emergency temporary standards they're trying to use here, but their actual regulatory standards.

00:03:41.000 And so we hope to submit to them a million signatures In support of the idea that this vaccine mandate is a bad idea through the regulatory process.

00:03:48.000 So you can go help us out right now doing that.

00:03:51.000 Well, here's the thing.

00:03:52.000 As time moves forward, and as we see how the vaccine mandates are playing out across the nation, what we are seeing is that infections are still spiking in heavily vaccinated states.

00:04:02.000 This is not a case against the vaccine.

00:04:04.000 As I've said before, the vaccine is very good at preventing hospitalization and death, which is typically what we care about.

00:04:09.000 The problem is that for the left-leaning media, for the Democrats, They have boxed themselves in.

00:04:14.000 They have suggested that the only way to end the pandemic is if no one gets infected.

00:04:18.000 That's never going to happen.

00:04:20.000 What really should end the pandemic is the fact that vaccines were available.

00:04:23.000 Now you could protect yourself.

00:04:25.000 Within the next month, we're going to have therapeutics that are as protective as the vaccine in some cases, according to the new studies that are coming out.

00:04:32.000 There's a therapeutic from Pfizer.

00:04:34.000 It's a pill that if you take it within a couple of days of being diagnosed with COVID, it knocks out the death rates to zero.

00:04:40.000 Okay, so with all that in play, this is over.

00:04:43.000 Okay, we are done now.

00:04:44.000 There should be no public policy push with regard to any of this stuff once people can protect themselves.

00:04:49.000 If you choose not to be protected, that is your problem.

00:04:52.000 And if you are protected, what everybody else does is none of your business at this point, because we are not reaching herd immunity.

00:04:58.000 Everybody understands we are not reaching herd immunity.

00:05:00.000 When herd immunity was in sight, when there was an idea that if we got 80% of the population vaxxed, that would end all infections because the R would drop below one, and then no one would be passing this thing on.

00:05:10.000 Then at least you had the argument.

00:05:12.000 But herd immunity is not a thing.

00:05:14.000 It is not a thing with this virus.

00:05:16.000 This is going to become endemic.

00:05:17.000 Everybody understands that.

00:05:18.000 Endemic just means that it is going to continue passing through the population for long periods of time.

00:05:22.000 And you can see it in state after state after state.

00:05:25.000 Right now, for example, Michigan has the most COVID cases in the nation.

00:05:30.000 Michigan also is one of the more vaccinated states in the nation.

00:05:34.000 According to the latest data, Michigan has over 50,000 new COVID cases in the past week.

00:05:39.000 That comes out to 503.8 cases per 100,000.

00:05:42.000 Minnesota is second with 490 cases.

00:05:45.000 New Mexico has 462 cases.

00:05:48.000 So you will notice there that all three of those states are blue.

00:05:53.000 We were told that only red states get COVID because red states are evil, but that's not the case.

00:05:58.000 The last time Michigan led the nation was in April when the state encountered the largest surge of the COVID-19 pandemic.

00:06:02.000 And we know why this is happening.

00:06:03.000 The answer is, this is happening because people are going indoors because it's getting cold in Michigan.

00:06:08.000 It's that simple.

00:06:09.000 In the past three weeks, Henry Ford Health System says its hospital system has seen a 60% rise in the number of patients hospitalized with COVID.

00:06:18.000 According to one of the doctors over there, they have 330 patients with COVID hospitalized across five hospitals.

00:06:23.000 Another 35 patients with COVID or suspected COVID.

00:06:26.000 Apparently, most of those hospitalized with COVID-19 are not vaccinated.

00:06:29.000 Okay, well, that I'm sure is true because you are much more likely to be hospitalized with COVID if you are unvaccinated by the statistics.

00:06:37.000 What that does not mean is that you cannot pass this thing on if you are vaccinated to other people who are vaccinated.

00:06:43.000 Right now, what we have seen is that the vaccines are not particularly durable in terms of preventing reinfection.

00:06:49.000 They're durable in preventing hospitalization and death.

00:06:52.000 And now it is up to you.

00:06:54.000 It is up to you.

00:06:55.000 And none of the people on the left seem to want to recognize this.

00:06:57.000 So what is the point of the OSHA vaccine mandate?

00:07:01.000 If the idea of the OSHA vaccine mandate is we have to prevent this thing from being passed, well, the vaccine itself does not prevent, in toto, all of this virus from being passed.

00:07:11.000 There's a somewhat lower rate of passing the virus if you are vaccinated versus if you are unvaccinated.

00:07:16.000 But it is not a completely lower rate, which is why you would see outbreaks in heavily vaccinated areas.

00:07:20.000 For example, Ireland right now is a 93% vaxxed country.

00:07:25.000 They reimposed COVID restrictions anyway because there was a massive uptick in the number of COVID cases.

00:07:29.000 There's a member of the health service explaining that.

00:07:33.000 As a society we need to look out for each other.

00:07:36.000 93% of the adult population are fully vaccinated.

00:07:41.000 We have over 600 people in hospital at the moment and roughly around half of those are unvaccinated.

00:07:49.000 The evidence is absolutely clear and tonight I would join with all of our healthcare professionals in urging people who have not yet received the vaccine to please take it up.

00:08:03.000 Now again, urging people to take the vaccine is not a terrible thing.

00:08:06.000 Forcing people to take the vaccine is a very different thing.

00:08:09.000 You're seeing the same thing in Vermont, by the way.

00:08:11.000 Vermont has the highest vaccination rate in the country, and cases are surging over there.

00:08:15.000 According to ABC News, in Vermont, nearly 72% of residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

00:08:21.000 At the same time, it has the 12th highest rate of new COVID cases over the last week, according to state data.

00:08:25.000 And in the country right now, we have a major surge in COVID cases.

00:08:29.000 I don't care about COVID cases.

00:08:30.000 You shouldn't care about COVID cases.

00:08:32.000 You should only care about hospitalizations and deaths.

00:08:35.000 And at this point, you should really only care about whether you and your family are protected, and whether your neighbors are protected, and whether they also have the freedom to determine whether they are protected.

00:08:44.000 And those are the factors.

00:08:45.000 You do not get to tell your neighbor how to protect themselves.

00:08:48.000 You do get to protect yourself how you wish to protect yourself.

00:08:51.000 And yet we still have the Biden administration attempting to cram down these mandates.

00:08:56.000 The seven-day average for COVID-19 cases rose 42% as of Tuesday, according to state data in Vermont.

00:09:01.000 And the state positivity rate also increased 30%.

00:09:05.000 So what we are seeing is that even heavily vaccinated areas are still seeing a pretty significant uptick in COVID.

00:09:11.000 By the way, you know where they are having very few COVID cases?

00:09:13.000 Down here in Florida.

00:09:14.000 Why?

00:09:14.000 Because they're already passed through the population and it's nice outside.

00:09:17.000 This is not complicated.

00:09:19.000 The lowest state in terms of current case average over the last seven days?

00:09:25.000 Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas.

00:09:27.000 That is not a coincidence.

00:09:29.000 All four of those states got clocked over the summer in terms of number of people who are getting this.

00:09:32.000 It was very hot outside.

00:09:33.000 People were going indoors.

00:09:35.000 Some people were getting reinfected.

00:09:37.000 Some people who were unvaccinated were dying.

00:09:39.000 But right now, which states are getting clocked?

00:09:42.000 It's Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New Hampshire, Vermont, yes, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, basically anywhere it is cold.

00:09:50.000 Anywhere people are going indoors.

00:09:52.000 This is not a shock.

00:09:53.000 And yet the Biden administration continues to push forward with this notion that they are going to mandate on you and on your employer that you get the vax.

00:10:03.000 Here's the thing.

00:10:04.000 Democrats are in a tailspin right now and they don't know which way to turn.

00:10:07.000 Because one thing they do understand is that Americans are very tired of this.

00:10:10.000 How tired are Americans of this?

00:10:11.000 They're so tired that in Washington, D.C., which is bluer than blue.

00:10:16.000 Washington, D.C.

00:10:16.000 is the bluest area in America.

00:10:19.000 Muriel Bowser, the mayor, just came out and said she's going to get rid of the masking mandates at local stores. 0.99

00:10:25.000 Why?

00:10:25.000 Because business owners who are going to contribute to her mayoral campaign said, we're not going to contribute unless you allow us to do our business.

00:10:32.000 And of course, you have other Democrats who are attacking Mayor Bowser now.

00:10:35.000 So you have the head of the D.C.

00:10:37.000 City Council, Phil Mendelsohn, writing a letter to Muriel Bowser, saying that they want to reinstate the mask mandate.

00:10:45.000 They say, even the White House will maintain its mask mandate.

00:10:49.000 We urge you to reverse your decision to drop the mask mandate.

00:10:53.000 We are concerned the changing course entering the winter months, not to mention the week before a major travel holiday, is not a prudent course of action.

00:10:58.000 It sends a signal that public health concerns are back to normal when they are not.

00:11:02.000 Our focus should be on getting every eligible person vaccinated, not gambling with the safety of the most vulnerable, etc, etc, etc.

00:11:08.000 So Democrats are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

00:11:10.000 And here is the thing.

00:11:11.000 There are significant costs to the lockdown policies that have been attempted by blue states and blue cities.

00:11:18.000 One statistic that might be worth noting is we've had about 700,000 deaths from COVID over the course of the last year.

00:11:23.000 And over the course of the last year, more than 100,000 Americans died from drug overdoses.

00:11:29.000 100,000!

00:11:29.000 That is from April of last year to April of this year.

00:11:33.000 According to the New York Times, in that 12-month period, more than 100,000 Americans died of overdoses, up almost 30% from the 78,000 deaths in the prior year.

00:11:42.000 That figure marks the first time the number of overdose deaths in the U.S.

00:11:44.000 has exceeded 100,000 per year, more than the total of car crashes and gun fatalities combined.

00:11:50.000 Overdose deaths have more than doubled since 2015.

00:11:54.000 By the way, this does give the lie to the notion that more government aid prevents overdose deaths.

00:11:58.000 We had more government aid in the last year than any time in American history.

00:12:01.000 Bar none.

00:12:02.000 And overdose deaths spiked.

00:12:03.000 Why?

00:12:04.000 Because when you destroy people's sense of community, their ability to reach out to other human beings, they stay home and they get high and they do drugs.

00:12:10.000 And many of them die.

00:12:12.000 Administration officials said on Wednesday they will expand access to medications like Naloxone, which can reverse an opioid overdose by encouraging states to pass laws that will make it more widely available and promoting its use by Americans.

00:12:25.000 But the COVID pandemic accelerated this, and really the response to the COVID pandemic accelerated this.

00:12:32.000 Overdose deaths related to use of stimulants like meth, coke, and natural and semi-synthetic opioids also increased during the 12-month period.

00:12:39.000 So it's not just fentanyl here.

00:12:42.000 The vast majority of those deaths, 70% were among men between the age of 25 and 54.

00:12:48.000 There were regional variations in the death counts, but the largest year-over-year increase is exceeding 50% in states including California.

00:12:56.000 Vermont increased 85% during the reporting period.

00:12:59.000 You saw some poorer areas like Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kentucky.

00:13:04.000 That had a pretty major uptick as well.

00:13:06.000 But you also saw increases of 40% in Washington State, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Minnesota, Alaska, Nebraska, Virginia, and the Carolinas.

00:13:15.000 Okay, so it turns out that shutting down the entire country has some pretty dire side effects.

00:13:22.000 And Americans know this.

00:13:24.000 And Democrats are about to pay the political price for all of this.

00:13:27.000 Which is why Governor Ron DeSantis has not been doing this the whole time.

00:13:29.000 Governor DeSantis in Florida, he just pushed through a bunch of anti-mask mandate and vax mandate proposals in the state of Florida.

00:13:39.000 According to the New York Times, early this year, Governor Ron DeSantis crisscrossed Florida promoting COVID vaccines, visiting retiree communities and hospitals, celebrating people who got their shots.

00:13:47.000 But it was a remarkably different picture this week when Florida's Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nunez was a prominent speaker at a rally organized by anti-vax activists on the state capitol steps.

00:13:57.000 Well, no.

00:13:58.000 She was there not fighting in the VAX.

00:14:01.000 She was there fighting VAX mandates.

00:14:03.000 Full disclosure, I'm very friendly with both Governor DeSantis and Jeanette Núñez.

00:14:07.000 She's a wonderful Lieutenant Governor. 0.97

00:14:09.000 But, says the New York Times, the jarring scene gave vaccine skeptics in Florida a big win and moved the state further away from the guidance of federal public officials.

00:14:17.000 Perhaps no state has been more aggressive than Florida, where Mr. DeSantis and his allies are betting that anger over public health restrictions that drove Republicans to the polls in Virginia, New Jersey, and other states will grow their political base and keep voters fervently engaged.

00:14:30.000 The Republicans passed four bills on Wednesday to curtail mask and vax mandates, the culmination of a three-day special legislative session that Mr. DeSantis called so swiftly it caught even Republican leaders by surprise.

00:14:40.000 The session was urgently needed to combat federal government overreach, said DeSantis, which, of course, is true.

00:14:45.000 The federal government is mandating that businesses do what the federal government wants them to do.

00:14:48.000 The state of Florida is saying, well, no, we're just going to fight back against that, and now we're not going to allow you to do what the federal government is telling you to do, creating a conflict of law situation that frees businesses to do essentially what they want.

00:15:00.000 I love how the New York Times proposes that this is all about being anti-vax in Florida.

00:15:06.000 If you look at the vaccination rates by state in America, Florida is right in the middle of the pack. 0.99

00:15:12.000 This bizarre, idiotic notion that Florida is somehow on the low end of vaccination rates is totally crazy. 0.99

00:15:19.000 It's not true. 0.98

00:15:21.000 I'm looking right now at the rate of full vaccination by state Okay, and let's look at age 65.

00:15:30.000 Let's start with age 65.

00:15:32.000 If you look at the percentage of people who are vaccinated above the age of 65, Florida has 93.2%, this is according to Mayo Clinic, 93.2% of all people in Florida above the age of 65, this is a really old state by the way, are vaccinated. 0.52

00:15:51.000 Of people aged 18 to 64, almost 70% are vaccinated.

00:15:54.000 67.1% are vaccinated.

00:15:58.000 By the way, those are better numbers than a huge number of blue states, including, by the way, Michigan.

00:16:04.000 Even among people 12 to 17, almost 50% of Florida residents aged 12 to 17 are fully vaccinated.

00:16:11.000 And if you look at the numbers on one-dose vaccinations, if you look at the number of people who have gotten at least one dose, you're looking at 99.9% of all people aged over 65 have one dose of the vaccine in Florida.

00:16:22.000 And 78% of Floridians between 18 and 64 have the vaccine.

00:16:26.000 So you're seeing the media trying to proclaim that this is all about how Florida doesn't want people to vaccinate.

00:16:30.000 It's a lie. 1.00

00:16:30.000 It's just not true because they are damned liars. 1.00

00:16:32.000 Florida just would like you to retain your freedoms. 0.99

00:16:35.000 And we here at The Daily Wire would also like you to retain your freedom. 0.89

00:16:37.000 So please go sign our petition over at dailywire.com because we are fighting back against this garbage. 0.92

00:16:42.000 And you should be too.

00:16:44.000 Okay, in just a second, we're gonna get to the latest in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, which, once again, is going sideways.

00:16:49.000 Major boo-boo by the prosecution.

00:16:51.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:16:52.000 First, we'd love to welcome some friends and sponsors back to the show just in time for the holidays.

00:16:56.000 We're talking about Vincero Collective.

00:18:27.000 Alrighty, so the Rittenhouse trial continues to undergo deliberation.

00:18:31.000 It is insane to me that we are still deliberating about this case.

00:18:33.000 When I say we, I mean the jury.

00:18:35.000 This case is the most clear-cut case of self-defense I have ever seen in my life.

00:18:38.000 But the judge yesterday correctly blasted the media for their misinformation about the trial.

00:18:45.000 Here's what the judge had to say.

00:18:47.000 Some of the other misinformation about the case that is widespread, and you gentlemen are as aware of it as I am, Now they had some people in the Milwaukee Journal, I think I read it, said it was odd, I think was the word, that I didn't rule on the motion to dismiss.

00:19:08.000 I haven't even had a chance to read the motion to dismiss.

00:19:13.000 I just got it yesterday.

00:19:15.000 And I really think before I rule on a motion, I should let the state respond.

00:19:21.000 So why anyone would think that it's odd for the judge to sit on a motion to dismiss?

00:19:27.000 I have no idea.

00:19:30.000 Okay, so the media coverage in the case has been absolutely bizarre.

00:19:33.000 He is exactly right about that, and politically driven.

00:19:35.000 Well, yesterday, the prosecution ran directly into a buzzsaw because it turns out that the prosecution handed over a badly pixelated version of the drone footage.

00:19:46.000 Remember, there was drone footage of the first shooting of Joseph Rosenbaum by Kyle Rittenhouse.

00:19:52.000 And it turns out that the prosecution had that for a long time, and finally when they turned it over, it was a badly pixelated version of the video.

00:19:58.000 According to Breitbart, the dispute involved several videos, especially a high-definition video the prosecution used in closing arguments on Friday, which had not been provided to the defense, which received only a low-res version.

00:20:08.000 The defense moved for a mistrial Tuesday on that basis.

00:20:11.000 ADA John Krause told the judge the prosecution had not intentionally withheld video evidence from the defense, but there was an accidental compression involved in moving video between iPhone and Android devices.

00:20:21.000 The person who took the footage, according to Krause, had earlier provided it to Rittenhouse's former attorney John Pierce, who had shown it last year on the Tucker Carlson show on Fox News.

00:20:29.000 When it was emailed to the defense, there was a compression, he said, which had not been deliberate.

00:20:34.000 He said he had no idea how to compress the files.

00:20:36.000 The defense countered the files appeared to be different, and the metadata accompanying the video appeared different.

00:20:42.000 The defense also said the video provided to Tucker Carlson was different as it was black and white.

00:20:46.000 The prosecutor's video was in color.

00:20:48.000 That had not been the problem, but rather the superior quality of the prosecution's video.

00:20:53.000 Defense lawyer Mark Richer said, at this point, your honor, they've not requested what we're fighting about.

00:20:57.000 You're correct, the judge replied.

00:20:59.000 Earlier on Wednesday, the jury did send a question to the judge about whether it would be permitted to review video evidence in the courtroom or in private.

00:21:04.000 That came in late yesterday afternoon.

00:21:07.000 Okay, so the prosecutors tried to claim that it was just a technical glitch.

00:21:13.000 The defense said that this video evidence was compressed by the prosecution and passed over to them in order to deceive them, which wouldn't be a shock because there've been serious evidentiary questions throughout.

00:21:23.000 Here is the defense making that argument.

00:21:25.000 The one that was provided to the state's crime lab that attorney Finger gave me a copy of on Saturday had a very long convoluted title that involves lots of letters and numbers that are the type that are usually associated with files taken from a drone because they indicate a lot of different information like the location of the drone and the time.

00:21:46.000 The file I received originally on Friday the 5th was not labeled that same and was not the same file amount.

00:21:55.000 There's no way that what ADA Krause is saying is true because the file name would not have changed if my computer was compressing anything.

00:22:04.000 It was a different file that we were provided from what was provided to the state.

00:22:09.000 At least for what Attorney Binger gave me on Saturday.

00:22:13.000 They're completely different.

00:22:16.000 Okay, meanwhile, the prosecution admitted there was a technical glitch, but they said it was just a technical glitch, no biggie.

00:22:21.000 The defense, by the way, is arguing that one of the reasons the prosecution did this is because they were looking for a mistrial, because this is going so badly for them.

00:22:29.000 I think we're focusing on... too heavily on... I guess a technological glitch.

00:22:40.000 And we should be focusing that this exhibit was played.

00:22:45.000 The jury is asking to see exhibits that they have seen.

00:22:48.000 They didn't know about this video.

00:22:50.000 They've tried to find it just as we did.

00:22:52.000 We found it and there was a technological glitch.

00:22:55.000 Or not a glitch, but I guess it worked in a way that is designed that we were not aware of.

00:23:01.000 And I do not believe a Technical reality, shall we say, or an unknown technical incident should result in a mistrial.

00:23:15.000 Yeah, sure.

00:23:18.000 Meanwhile, the media continue their habit of drawing the most bizarre narratives out of this case.

00:23:24.000 Farhad Manjoo, who somehow has finagled a column at the New York Times, which is amazing because truly there is a running battle between the members of the New York Times editorial board about which one of them is the worst columnist.

00:23:34.000 Farhad Manjoo is definitely near the top of the list.

00:23:37.000 I think it goes like Charles Blow, Paul Krugman, Farhad Manjoo, but he's climbing the list each and every day.

00:23:41.000 He had a piece yesterday in which he argued that the big problem in the Kyle Rittenhouse case was the gun.

00:23:47.000 Not the people rioting in the streets attacking the guy with a gun, the gun.

00:23:51.000 According to Farhad Manjoo, the lead prosecutor, Thomas Binger, offered a meticulously documented closing argument that deftly summarized all the ways Rittenhouse acted unlawfully.

00:24:00.000 We'll see if the jury buys it, but to me, Binger's argument had a power beyond this case.

00:24:03.000 That's because it cleverly unraveled some of the foundational tenets of gun advocacy, that guns are effective and necessary weapons of self-defense.

00:24:10.000 Well, I'm not sure how that was unraveled, considering that...

00:24:13.000 Rittenhouse would probably be dead today, or at the very least in a coma in a hospital, if he had not had a gun.

00:24:19.000 He says that without them lawlessness and tyranny would prevail.

00:24:21.000 Lawlessness and tyranny did prevail in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

00:24:25.000 And that in the right hands, in the hands of the good guys, guns promote public safety rather than destroying it.

00:24:29.000 Well, I mean, they do.

00:24:30.000 There just weren't enough guns there in the hands of the good guys.

00:24:33.000 There was one good guy with a gun, Kyle Rittenhouse in this particular case, up against an entire riotous mob.

00:24:40.000 One of whom was a child molester trying to attack him, another of whom was a convicted criminal who was trying to attack him with a skateboard, and a third of whom was approaching him with his own gun.

00:24:48.000 But says Firehead Manju, in the Rittenhouse case, none of that was true.

00:24:51.000 At every turn that night, Rittenhouse's AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle made things worse, ratcheting up danger rather than quelling it.

00:24:58.000 The gun transformed situations that might have ended in black eyes and broken bones into ones that ended with corpses in the street.

00:25:04.000 Well, whose fault is that?

00:25:05.000 The people attacking the guy with the gun or the guy with the gun?

00:25:09.000 But, you know, the left must have its narratives.

00:25:11.000 So we'll continue to keep an eye on the jury in that particular case.

00:25:15.000 Honestly, I'm shocked they still have not come back in at this point.

00:25:18.000 Okay, meanwhile, the other big controversy of the day that broke out yesterday was a controversy over Paul Gosar.

00:25:23.000 Paul Gosar is the rather nutty congressperson from Arizona who is hobnobbed with some of the worst derelicts on the political ultra-right.

00:25:35.000 White supremacist adjacent crowd, like Paul Gosar has hung out with some pretty bad folks. 0.79

00:25:39.000 I am no Paul Gosar fan, but the House attempting to censure Gosar for what they're attempting to censure him for is pretty wild.

00:25:47.000 And what's more wild is that they attempted to strip him of his committee assignments.

00:25:51.000 And they did yesterday.

00:25:51.000 A Democratic House has now been stripping Republicans of their committee assignments, which is a pretty big violation of the way that this stuff usually works.

00:25:57.000 We'll get to that in just a moment.

00:25:59.000 First, I got to tell you about one of the best gifts I ever got my parents.

00:26:02.000 My parents out in their garage for years just had boxes of old film reels, boxes of old pictures, boxes of old VHS tapes of us as kids, and just sitting there doing nothing.

00:26:11.000 And so I went over to their house, to their garage, and I took all that stuff, I loaded it up into a legacy box, I sent it into legacy box, and legacy box returned all of that material along with the digitization of all of that old footage, all those old film reels, etc.

00:26:24.000 It's great.

00:26:25.000 They can access it.

00:26:26.000 They made copies of it for the entire family.

00:26:28.000 And it really is wonderful to be able to access those memories at any point in time.

00:26:30.000 And also know that if, God forbid, the garage floods, those memories aren't gone.

00:26:34.000 They're right there on a thumb drive.

00:26:36.000 And that's what Legacy Box can do for you.

00:26:38.000 Each item is hand digitized by a team of over 200 trained technicians right here in the U.S.

00:26:42.000 Their exclusive bar-coded online tracking system provides up to 12 emailed updates along the way.

00:26:47.000 Legacy Box has been the industry leader in professionally digitizing family memories for over a decade.

00:26:51.000 More than a million people have used them.

00:26:53.000 Each kit includes everything you need to safely pack and send your recorded moments.

00:27:09.000 LegacyBox.com slash Shapiro.

00:27:12.000 Okay, so. 1.00

00:27:13.000 Now we move to Congress, where, as always, idiocy reigns. 1.00

00:27:16.000 So, Paul Gosar, as I've said, is not a good congressperson. 1.00

00:27:21.000 He is a rather nutty character, to say the absolute least.

00:27:25.000 He put out on Twitter an anime video.

00:27:30.000 This anime video has now become subject to controversy because it was taken as an actual death threat against Alexander Ocasio-Cortez.

00:27:37.000 Here's the anime video.

00:27:39.000 Okay, so it's just images of people at the border, and then an anime character flying through the air, and then people riding ATVs near the border, and helicopters near the

00:28:08.000 border.

00:28:09.000 That's it.

00:28:09.000 Yeah!

00:28:10.000 And the anime video shows this Paul Gosar anime character attacking with swords a figure which appears to be like a half-naked male with the face of Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and then jumping toward the face of Joe Biden with anime swords.

00:28:28.000 This is what they're talking about.

00:28:30.000 Okay, can I just say that anybody who takes this as an actual death threat against AOC is out of their mind? 0.99

00:28:36.000 I'm sorry, you're crazy. 0.99

00:28:38.000 If you think that's an actual death threat against AOC, you're a crazy person. 0.99

00:28:41.000 As somebody who's received their fair share of death threats, I can safely say that in no way would I see something like this and think, oh, that's a legit death threat. 0.99

00:28:49.000 That's somebody who's trying to kill me. 1.00

00:28:51.000 I could say, yeah, I'm offended, it's really stupid. 0.98

00:28:55.000 It's literally an anime meme video, and Ghoststar is like a... 0.97

00:28:59.000 somewhat elderly dude who likes to hang out with the meme crowd, like the alt-right meme crowd.

00:29:04.000 And yet this was taken as an actual death threat against Alexander Ocasio-Cortez and Joe Biden, which is wild. Okay, it's kind of an insane thing. So here is Paul Gosar defending himself. Again, he's a wild dude. For this cartoon, some in Congress suggest I should be punished.

00:29:26.000 I have said decisively, there is no threat in the cartoon other than the threat to the immigration poses to our country. 1.00

00:29:33.000 And no threat was intended by my staff or me.

00:29:37.000 The American people deserve to have their voices heard in Congress.

00:29:40.000 No matter how much the left tries to quiet me, I will continue to speak out against amnesty for illegal aliens.

00:29:47.000 If I must join Alexander Hamilton, the first person attempted to be censored by this House, so be it.

00:29:54.000 It is done.

00:29:57.000 Okay, so, is he a hero for tweeting it out?

00:30:00.000 No. 1.00

00:30:00.000 Is it a stupid meme? 1.00

00:30:02.000 But, here's the thing, the entire Democratic Party responds to this as though he has actively threatened AOC's life. 1.00

00:30:02.000 Yes. 1.00

00:30:08.000 So you get Nancy Pelosi out there, blasting Gosar, and saying we can't have members joking about murdering each other?

00:30:13.000 This is where you draw the line.

00:30:17.000 Like, on the anime video.

00:30:18.000 This is what you're going to blow up Congress over?

00:30:21.000 Okay, Nancy, sure.

00:30:23.000 These threats specifically target a woman, a woman of color, which is part, as the resolution states, a global phenomenon meant to silence women and discourage them from seeking positions of authority and participating in public life.

00:30:39.000 Disguising death threats against a member of Congress and a President of the United States in an animated video does not make those death threats any less real or less serious.

00:30:50.000 That's absurd. 0.99

00:30:51.000 She's an absurd human being. 0.99

00:30:52.000 And indeed, conveying them this way makes them potentially more dangerous by normalizing violence. 0.98

00:30:58.000 It's more dangerous! 1.00

00:31:00.000 She's a crazy person! 1.00

00:31:01.000 I'm sorry, she's crazy! 1.00

00:31:03.000 Like, first of all, did Secret Service investigate Paul Gosar over that?

00:31:06.000 Did Secret Service investigate Paul Gosar?

00:31:07.000 Were they like, man, that's a serious death row.

00:31:09.000 Let's get, we gotta get the group together and go raid his house.

00:31:13.000 Making an anime video is more serious?

00:31:15.000 And the suggestion is that he's attacking AOC because she's a woman of color?

00:31:19.000 Is Joe Biden a woman of color?

00:31:20.000 You're gonna have to explain that one.

00:31:23.000 Maybe the reason he's attacking AOC, like, is a politician? 1.00

00:31:26.000 Again, I think the video is stupid. 0.99

00:31:28.000 I think members of Congress shouldn't be putting that stuff out. 0.99

00:31:31.000 But let's stop pretending that that is, like, a full death threat.

00:31:33.000 Come the f- Come on.

00:31:35.000 Come on.

00:31:36.000 Again, as a recipient of actual death threats, I can tell you, nope.

00:31:40.000 That one ain't even the ballpark. 0.99

00:31:42.000 And this bizarre, crazy idea that it's about AOC's race and sex is, again, nuts. 0.93

00:31:49.000 The reason, presumably, that he's angry with AOC is because she's an amnesty-first, crazy person who has been treated as the light of the left. 0.91

00:31:57.000 She's very famous.

00:31:58.000 The left has made her famous.

00:32:00.000 They're the ones who propped her up.

00:32:01.000 This is the game the left always plays.

00:32:03.000 You can't attack Kamala Harris. 0.97

00:32:04.000 She's a black woman. 1.00

00:32:04.000 Well, you're the ones who put her in a position of prominence because of who she is. 1.00

00:32:09.000 It is sad.

00:32:09.000 It's so weird. Okay, so then AOC gets up and she does the woe is me routine. And now AOC is going to lecture us about the nature of rhetoric in politics, AOC, because she's never used inflammatory rhetoric at all. I mean, she's one of the most eloquent, well-spoken, soft-spoken, subtle artists in the rhetorical space, AOC.

00:32:29.000 It is sad. It is a sad day in which a member who leads a political party in the United States of America cannot bring themselves to say that issuing a depiction of murdering a member of Congress is wrong.

00:32:51.000 And instead decides to venture off into a tangent about gas prices and inflation.

00:32:58.000 What is so hard What is so hard about saying that this is wrong?

00:33:06.000 Okay, so this is coming from the same group of people.

00:33:12.000 She voted literally in favor of not funding Iron Dome, which helps Hamas. 0.92

00:33:17.000 So yeah, or actually she abstained and then she cried about it on the House floor. 1.00

00:33:21.000 Yeah, she's yeah, AOC.

00:33:24.000 I think, do you think this is real?

00:33:25.000 I just have a question.

00:33:26.000 You think this is real?

00:33:27.000 I usually don't doubt the sincerity of political actors talking about how hurt they are.

00:33:31.000 But as somebody, again, who has received more death threats than virtually anybody in American public life, I can tell you, no.

00:33:38.000 No on that.

00:33:39.000 That is completely insincere. 0.96

00:33:40.000 It is a ginned up nonsense.

00:33:42.000 She said, I have seen the other members of this party advance the argument, including Representative Gosar himself.

00:33:47.000 The illusion that this was just a joke.

00:33:50.000 The illusion?

00:33:51.000 It's an anime video!

00:33:53.000 I'm confused.

00:33:54.000 How is that not a joke?

00:33:56.000 Have you ever, like, thrown out an anime video as a very serious point in a debate?

00:34:00.000 Like, in a budget debate.

00:34:01.000 Do people normally just throw out anime videos of themselves?

00:34:04.000 Badly pixelated their faces onto anime characters?

00:34:08.000 The illusion that this was just a joke.

00:34:09.000 I love when they pretend they don't understand jokes.

00:34:11.000 That what we say and what we do does not matter so long as we claim a lack of meaning.

00:34:14.000 Now this nihilism runs deep, says AOC.

00:34:17.000 It conveys and betrays a certain contempt for the meaning and importance of our work here.

00:34:21.000 Okay, let me not betray a lack of contempt.

00:34:25.000 I have contempt for the meaning of your work here.

00:34:27.000 All of you. 0.99

00:34:28.000 All of you in Congress, I think that you're basically useless. 0.88

00:34:30.000 I think you do nothing for a living and get paid on the tax paradigm and then claim that you're changing the world while wrecking America's fiscal future. 0.62

00:34:37.000 So let me just put that one out there.

00:34:38.000 But.

00:34:39.000 It betrays contempt for the meaning of the work that we do here.

00:34:42.000 That's what we do.

00:34:43.000 So long as we claim it's a joke, it doesn't matter.

00:34:45.000 That what we say here doesn't matter.

00:34:45.000 That's what we say.

00:34:47.000 That our actions every day as elected leaders don't matter.

00:34:50.000 And I am here to rise to say it does.

00:34:53.000 She said, our work here matters.

00:34:54.000 Our example matters.

00:34:55.000 There's meaning in our service.

00:34:59.000 Vomit.

00:35:01.000 Come on. 0.92

00:35:03.000 You don't have to like Paul Gosar or even like that he tweeted out a dumb meme to understand that it's not a death threat that violates the sanctity of the United States Congress. 0.96

00:35:13.000 And these people are so irritating.

00:35:15.000 You're making me defend Paul Gosar now. 0.99

00:35:17.000 What the f*** is wrong with you people? 0.98

00:35:19.000 Seriously, what? 0.99

00:35:20.000 OK, so Peter Mayer.

00:35:25.000 Who is a congressperson from Michigan.

00:35:27.000 He said, as someone who's faced death threats and had a senior party official reference my assassination, I take political violence seriously.

00:35:33.000 Representative Gosar disgraced himself with his actions leading up to January 6th.

00:35:36.000 He's disgraced himself further by associating with anti-Semites and Holocaust deniers.

00:35:40.000 Sadly, disgracing oneself with anti-Jewish associates isn't a rare occurrence for a handful of my colleagues on either side of the aisle.

00:35:46.000 But today's vote wasn't about these actions. 0.99

00:35:47.000 It was about a dumb anime clip. 0.86

00:35:49.000 The last censure of a member of Congress was in 2010.

00:35:52.000 Today, Democratic leadership did not present an objective articulate standard for censure in the absence of an ethics committee ruling or a formal legal action.

00:35:59.000 Representative Gosar's conduct has been contemptible.

00:36:02.000 Calling that video a death threat is an unreasonable exaggeration that ignores why political violence is such a threat.

00:36:07.000 Leaders embracing authoritarian lies.

00:36:09.000 The American people deserve a Congress that functions according to reason, not emotion.

00:36:13.000 Correct.

00:36:15.000 Correct.

00:36:16.000 But we often pretend to be deeply offended by Gosar's anime video.

00:36:22.000 I'm offended by you being offended.

00:36:24.000 Honest to God. 0.84

00:36:26.000 Sack up.

00:36:28.000 Okay, meanwhile, when it comes to censure, first of all, half of Congress should have been censured by this point.

00:36:34.000 But what the Democrats did is they removed Gosar's committee assignments.

00:36:38.000 Now, I think there's a good case that Gosar shouldn't have committee assignments, but that has to come from inside the Republican caucus.

00:36:43.000 That doesn't come from the Democratic caucus.

00:36:44.000 There's a basic rule.

00:36:45.000 Republicans name Republican members of committees, and Democrats name Democrat members of committees.

00:36:50.000 It's been broken now.

00:36:51.000 Democrats have said that they will throw people like Marjorie Taylor Greene off committees. 0.68

00:36:55.000 So get ready to reap the whirlwind.

00:36:57.000 Here's Kevin McCarthy saying, listen, you guys want to play this game?

00:37:00.000 Next time we're in power, we are going to dump all you guys from your committee assignments.

00:37:04.000 What they have started cannot be easily undone.

00:37:07.000 Their actions today and the past have forever changed the way the House operates.

00:37:13.000 It means that the minority rights that have served this body as well are the things of the past. 0.89

00:37:21.000 And furthermore, it means that under the Pelosi president, All the members that I have mentioned earlier will need the approval of a majority to keep those positions in the future.

00:37:34.000 Okay, he's right.

00:37:35.000 In one second, we're gonna get to Lauren Boebert, who, honestly, Lauren Boebert just went hard after other members of Congress, and I'm here for it.

00:37:43.000 I'm really here for it.

00:37:44.000 We'll get to that in just a moment.

00:37:45.000 First, if you're a homeowner who's been focused on your budget, focused on your future, focused on finding the right option to save money, I have something for you to consider, a mortgage refinance.

00:37:53.000 It's a strategic approach.

00:37:54.000 It makes a lot of sense for a lot of people, since rates remain near all-time lows, making it a great time to call American Financing.

00:37:59.000 Learn about custom loan options that can save you up to $1,000 a month.

00:38:02.000 That's right, every month.

00:38:04.000 They do more than just lower your rate.

00:38:06.000 They look at your entire financial picture, finding every way to help you save.

00:38:09.000 No pressure, no obligation, no upfront or hidden fees.

00:38:11.000 So why not learn more?

00:38:12.000 They'll give you a free mortgage review.

00:38:14.000 You might skip two payments if you choose to move forward.

00:38:17.000 So right now, the mortgage rates are at serious historic lows.

00:38:19.000 I don't think they're going to stay that way forever.

00:38:21.000 I think mortgage rates are going to rise in the near future because, frankly, inflation is going to force a tapering at the Fed.

00:38:27.000 That tapering at the Fed is going to force banks to give loans at higher rates, and that's going to force up the mortgage rates.

00:38:32.000 So if you want, like, a low mortgage rate for your refi, now is the best time.

00:38:49.000 Alrighty, in just one second, we'll get to Lauren Boebert going hard after other members of Congress. 1.00

00:38:53.000 And, honest to God, slow clap.

00:38:56.000 We'll get to that in a moment.

00:38:57.000 First, big news.

00:38:58.000 The Biden administration announced yesterday it is suspending the implementation and enforcement of their authoritarian mandate for large employers.

00:39:04.000 Daily Wire was first in the nation to file suit.

00:39:06.000 We couldn't be happier to be at the forefront of the fight against Biden's assault on our businesses, our bodies, and our private health decisions.

00:39:11.000 However, there are a lot of businesses We'll continue enforcing mandates.

00:39:14.000 Our victory means nothing unless those businesses do the right thing.

00:39:18.000 They need to stop.

00:39:19.000 We understand.

00:39:19.000 Listen, we get it.

00:39:20.000 We know that federal rules, federal threats are an attempt to make you comply, but those rules are not in place right now.

00:39:26.000 Do not make the government's job easy.

00:39:29.000 If you're an employee, your company should not force you to take a vaccine you don't want.

00:39:33.000 Don't let them hide behind the vaccine mandate because it ain't in place.

00:39:36.000 Unless we lose, no one has to comply.

00:39:38.000 And we're not going to lose.

00:39:39.000 The fight is just getting started and we are going to win.

00:39:41.000 So sign our petition against Biden's vaccine mandate over at dailywire.com slash do not comply to send a message to the Biden administration that Americans don't just do whatever you tell them to do.

00:40:38.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:40:41.000 Alrighty, so Lauren Boebert, the congresswoman from Colorado, she was having none of this.

00:40:50.000 She got up on the floor of the House and she's like, okay, so let me get this straight.

00:40:53.000 Paul Gosar got censured, not for any of the anti-Semitic hangings out or any of his prior bizarre statements, but for an anime meme.

00:41:02.000 And should we sum up what some members of this Congress have done wrong?

00:41:06.000 Lauren Boebert just bringing the hammer. 0.53

00:41:08.000 Good for her.

00:41:08.000 I mean, honestly.

00:41:11.000 Since the speaker has designated the floor to discuss members' inappropriate actions, shall we, the Jihad Squad member from Minnesota has paid her husband, and not her brother-husband, the other one, over a million dollars in campaign funds.

00:41:28.000 This member is allowed on the Foreign Affairs Committee while praising terrorists.

00:41:35.000 and then the cherry on top my colleague and three-month presidential candidate from california who is on the intelligence committee slept with feng feng a chinese spy let me say that again a member of congress who receives classifieds sleeping with the enemy this is unacceptable and this would never be time to expire gentlemen from florida

00:42:03.000 Um, winner winner chicken dinner.

00:42:06.000 Lauren Boebert points to Lauren Boebert right there. 1.00

00:42:10.000 Yup.

00:42:11.000 Yup.

00:42:13.000 See, here's the thing, guys.

00:42:14.000 Either no one gets censured or everybody gets censured.

00:42:17.000 That's the way that this has to work.

00:42:19.000 Because here's the thing.

00:42:20.000 She's correct.

00:42:21.000 Congress is full of derelicts.

00:42:23.000 Congress is full of people who not only say terrible things, but do terrible things.

00:42:27.000 It is rather incredible that Eric Swallow retains his committee assignments despite the fact that he was screwing a Chinese spy.

00:42:31.000 That is kind of an amazing thing.

00:42:33.000 Meanwhile, Ilhan Omar got very upset with Lauren Boebert for mentioning not her brother-husband, the other one.

00:42:39.000 And she tweeted, What I like there is where she flatters herself that her dad raised her right. 0.96

00:42:42.000 Otherwise, I might have gone to the floor to talk about this insurrectionist who sleeps with a pervert. 0.96

00:42:46.000 What I like there is where she flatters herself that her dad raised her right.

00:42:50.000 Otherwise, I might have said this thing that I'm saying right now in a tweet.

00:42:53.000 I'm grateful I was raised to be a decent human.

00:42:57.000 That is not true. 0.86

00:42:59.000 And not a deprived person who shamefully defecates and defiles the House of Representatives. 0.90

00:43:03.000 You can't defecate the House of Representatives. 0.97

00:43:04.000 You can defecate on the House of Representatives. 0.91

00:43:07.000 Praise God. 0.99

00:43:09.000 Ahem.

00:43:10.000 So.

00:43:11.000 First of all, the thing that she's referencing there, sleeps with a pervert, is that her husband, not Boebert, did anything wrong.

00:43:18.000 Her husband was arrested for, like, an indecent exposure a couple of years ago.

00:43:23.000 But Ilhan Omar getting into family issues is real awkward.

00:43:27.000 Like, real awkward.

00:43:28.000 She's got a follow-the-house Usher thing going on in her own family. 0.98

00:43:32.000 And not just that, even if you put aside the, as Lauren Boebert calls it, the alleged brother-husband, you will have to recall that she also did in fact pay a couple of million bucks to her current husband's firm.

00:43:46.000 She was allegedly having an affair with her current husband while she was married with the last husband.

00:43:51.000 She does have kids. 0.99

00:43:52.000 She's a disaster of a human. 1.00

00:43:54.000 Also, she is just a terrible Jew-hating anti-Semite. 1.00

00:43:57.000 They thought about censuring her. 0.99

00:44:00.000 They thought about at least saying something in Congress about her.

00:44:02.000 And the Democrats are like, no, we'll just pass a resolution saying that all forms of hate are bad.

00:44:07.000 By the way, Ilhan Omar still has no answer to the charges of anti-Semitism.

00:44:11.000 She's asked by Chris Hayes about the Jewish community.

00:44:13.000 And she's like, I'm just not going to answer this.

00:44:16.000 Obviously, you have a lot of Jewish folks in your district.

00:44:19.000 You have a lot of synagogues. 1.00

00:44:20.000 It's a very vibrant Jewish world in the Twin Cities.

00:44:24.000 What those relationships are like, what those conversations have been like, because I do know people that have pretty progressive politics that I do think have been offended or have questioned your heart on these matters.

00:44:37.000 And I know that's happened in your district.

00:44:38.000 I'm curious what those conversations have been like.

00:44:40.000 Yeah, I mean, I think communities are not monolithic.

00:44:43.000 You know, there's different ideologies people have, there's different perspectives and different places where people come from and there are different relationships people have with me that sort of inform a positive reaction to anything I say or a negative reaction to anything that I say.

00:45:00.000 I'm just going to sidestep that you hitting anti-Semitism right there.

00:45:02.000 By the way, the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party still has Rashida Tlaib as a member of good standing.

00:45:06.000 This is a person who hobnobs with pro-terror advocates openly.

00:45:10.000 And Joe Biden was praising her yesterday, like not a year ago, yesterday.

00:45:15.000 It's a spare me the crocodile tears on the, oh my god, Paul Gosar put out an anime meme.

00:45:20.000 It's all just posturing.

00:45:22.000 You want to know why people hate politics? 1.00

00:45:23.000 Because we all know that all these people are full of absolutely extraordinarily toxic levels of crap. 1.00

00:45:29.000 They're all septic at this point. 1.00

00:45:31.000 All righty.
