00:00:00.000 So it's time for a little story time.
00:00:02.000 This story comes courtesy of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar in her memoir.
00:00:07.000 Her memoir says, I was eight years old when civil war broke out in Somalia.
00:00:14.000 Why does that matter?
00:00:15.000 Because, uh oh, you know, when civil war broke out in Somalia was 1989, which means she was born in 1981, which means that she almost certainly lied about her age when she obtained citizenship and then lied about lying.
00:00:30.000 And now she may end up prosecuted and even deported.
00:00:32.000 Get out the world's smallest violin for this America hating import from the third world.
00:00:44.000 Pretty much every day, the evidence becomes clearer that Ilohan Omar almost certainly lied about her age in order to obtain American citizenship and then lied on pretty much all her paperwork ever since, which means that she would be prosecutable and, yes, deportable.
00:00:58.000 So she says that she was born in 1982.
00:01:01.000 The reason this matters is because when she obtained citizenship, she did so on daddy's green card, essentially.
00:01:07.000 And you have to be under the age of 18 in order to do that.
00:01:11.000 So if she was a little bit older, then she got her actual citizenship significantly later than she should have.
00:01:18.000 This is a problem for her.
00:01:20.000 It means that she illegally obtained her citizenship.
00:01:23.000 So she now says that she was born Ilhan Omar in Mogadishu, Somalia.
00:01:27.000 In reality, that was not even her name.
00:01:29.000 Her name was not Ilhan Omar, almost certainly.
00:01:32.000 Instead, her actual name is Ilhan Elmi.
00:01:37.000 We don't know how old she actually is, but her original birthday, according to the Minnesota House of Representatives profile, was 1981, which again means that she was too old to receive citizenship via her dad.
00:01:49.000 Omar's dad was a high ranking military colonel under the Marxist military dictatorship of Sayyad Barre, which runs counter to his refugee status under U.S. law as well.
00:01:58.000 In 1991, Ilhan Omar and her family relocated to Kenya during the Somali Civil War.
00:02:02.000 And then in 1995, she and her family received refugee status and came to the United States, first to Arlington, Virginia, and then to Minneapolis.
00:02:10.000 And again, it is probable that Omar did not even enter under her true name.
00:02:15.000 Her dad's surname is Elmi, not Omar.
00:02:18.000 The allegation is certain members of her family went to the U.K. under the name Elmi.
00:02:22.000 The rest of the family that went to the U.S. went by the name Omar in order to use a different family's refugee status to gain refugee status of their own.
00:02:29.000 And that's something Scott Johnson of Powerline uncovered.
00:02:32.000 He's uncovered a lot of all of this.
00:02:33.000 And then she became a naturalized U.S. citizen, allegedly at age 17, but actually she was probably 18, which would have made her ineligible for naturalization.
00:02:41.000 So you have like layers and layers of fraud here.
00:02:44.000 That is a problem.
00:02:45.000 And then, of course, as we have traced before, she almost certainly married her brother because she had a religious union with a man named Ahmed Hersey.
00:02:55.000 In 2002.
00:02:56.000 In 2008, she had a faith based separation from Ahmed Hersey.
00:03:00.000 Again, no civil marriage.
00:03:01.000 They had a couple of kids.
00:03:02.000 And then in 2009, she married Ahmed Noor Saeed Elmi.
00:03:05.000 Well, that's weird because her actual name is Ilhan Noor Saeed Elmi in all probability.
00:03:11.000 And then in 2011, she had a faith based separation from Elmi.
00:03:16.000 And Elmi had filed a marriage based petition to gain permanent U.S. residency.
00:03:19.000 But when federal immigration authorities asked for evidence of the marriage's bona fides, he withdrew his petition because he realized, in all likelihood, that they were going to be able to uncover the fact that he was.
00:03:29.000 Her brother.
00:03:30.000 Also, her brother happens to be almost certainly gay.
00:03:33.000 So you have a few different issues here.
00:03:36.000 Oh, yeah.
00:03:37.000 And she apparently has a bunch of unexplained financial issues.
00:03:40.000 Again, the evidence just keeps piling up against Ilhan Omar.
00:03:44.000 According to the Washington Free Beacon, which has been doing yeoman's work in the investigation here, Omar's financial status is anything but basic.
00:03:52.000 It includes enviable taxpayer funded perks that she accepts as a member of Congress to cover her living expenses, millions of dollars that her campaign paid her husband's former consulting firm.
00:04:01.000 And a mysterious $11.25 million cash infusion her husband's venture capital company received from an Indian billionaire in 2024.
00:04:10.000 Former DNC advisor Will Haler launched a series of ham fisted business ventures, including a California winery, a South Dakota based marijuana investment firm, and an international venture firm called Roselay Capital, all of which found themselves mired in lawsuits and allegations of fraud by 2024.
00:04:25.000 Her husband, whose name is Tim Minette, he and Haler had a bunch of these businesses.
00:04:31.000 They resolved their debts.
00:04:33.000 Shortly after, Rose Lake Capital received a mysterious infusion of that gigantic chunk of change, $11.25 million, from an Indian billionaire.
00:04:42.000 So, again, all of this is incredibly suspicious, unclear whether Roselite Capital ever returned that money.
00:04:49.000 Well, now, given the fact that there are all these questions that have arisen about Ilhan Omar on both an immigration basis and a fraud basis and all of the rest, it turns out that the left is claiming the only reason people are upset about Ilhan Omar, the reason she's found herself in the legal crosshairs, is not because she almost certainly committed criminal activity here on a wide variety of bases, ranging from falsification of marriage documents to commit immigration fraud on behalf of her brother to the possibility of falsifying her own birth year.
00:05:14.000 In order to commit immigration on fraud on behalf of herself to possible financial malfeasance.
00:05:19.000 No, it's because she's just too good and kind.
00:05:22.000 So, Ilhan Omar, you know, I think she's kind of a fraud.
00:05:25.000 But here is the thing so much of the stuff that is around us might be, you know, kind of fraudulent.
00:05:30.000 Like, for example, the American dollar.
00:05:32.000 How long can we last on the full faith and credit of the American dollar without diversifying?
00:05:36.000 The dollar is strong right now because it's kind of the best available option among a bunch of bad options.
00:05:41.000 But there's a reason central banks have been moving into precious metals.
00:05:44.000 You should probably do the same with at least part of your asset portfolio.
00:05:48.000 Depending on your account, you might be able to move eligible IRA or 401k funds into physical gold and silver through a properly executed rollover without triggering current taxes or early withdrawal penalties.

00:06:47.000 Well, the answer is that if you don't have a trust or will, the government gets to figure out where your money goes, which seems really dumb.

00:07:43.000 So now more than 170 House Democrats have demanded that the DOJ drop its investigation into Ilhan Omar in a letter to Attorney General Todd Blanch and DHS Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen, according to Breitbart.
00:07:55.000 Democrats write that this month's raid on Omar's Washington, D.C. residence and the investigation into her immigration history is akin to weaponization of the DOJ.
00:08:03.000 Now, again, listening to Democrats complain about weaponization of the DOJ after the DOJ was used as a blunt instrument against President Trump is pretty astonishing.
00:08:12.000 And as we'll talk about a little later in the show, Democrats plan on using all legal auspices in order to target their political opposition the minute that they regain power.
00:08:21.000 But according to these Democrats, it's really just about politics.
00:08:24.000 It's not about the fact that she committed almost certainly immigration fraud.
00:08:27.000 It is actually just politics.
00:08:28.000 Quote, this weaponization of law enforcement to harass a sitting member of Congress 22 days before an election is unprecedented and unacceptable.
00:08:36.000 Is it unprecedented?
00:08:37.000 And is it unacceptable?
00:08:38.000 I feel like there's precedent for it.
00:08:39.000 And also, it is acceptable if she actually committed crimes.
00:08:44.000 They say DOJ has long followed a policy not to investigate steps, to take investigative steps related to a candidate this close to an election.
00:08:51.000 If delaying the action will not jeopardize a criminal investigation, Congresswoman Omar is seeking re election in Minnesota's fifth congressional district in one week.
00:08:58.000 Okay, let's be real about this.
00:09:00.000 That policy is designed specifically for close elections, not where Ilhan Omar is going to win a runaway in her own congressional district, obviously.
00:09:09.000 They say, quote, this type of interference strips Minnesotans of their right to a free and fair election guaranteed to them under the Constitution.
00:09:15.000 Your actions are clearly driven by a predetermined political outcome rather than an objective pursuit of justice.
00:09:20.000 And again, I just want to point out the insane irony here because Democrats are openly calling for lawfare right now, openly calling for lawfare against everyone that they can think of.
00:09:30.000 So, for example, at the same time, while 170 Democrats are saying you must leave Ilhan Omar alone, this is lawfare, you have Congressperson Ro Khanna from California.
00:09:39.000 Who wants to introduce what he calls a truth and accountability commission for all the Trump family?
00:09:43.000 Right.
00:09:43.000 Again, not policing crime, policing family members of the Trump administration.
00:09:49.000 I'm introducing the truth and accountability commission to hold the Trump administration and the Trump family accountable for crimes.
00:09:56.000 Donald Trump says, Show me the person and I'll show you the crimes.
00:09:59.000 We're going to flip the script.
00:10:01.000 Show us the crimes and we will hold the people who did this accountable.
00:10:06.000 Okay, but I noticed that you're not actually talking about the crimes they did, you're just talking about the people.
00:10:12.000 Jennifer Welch, who is the toxic feminine id of the Democratic Party at this point, she is calling for Jared Kushner, Barron Trump, and Tiffany to all be tried.
00:10:21.000 She's saying this with Jim Acosta.
00:10:22.000 And ladies, find you a man who loves you, like Jim Acosta loves Jim Acosta, formerly of CNN.
00:10:28.000 I'm just going to say it.
00:10:29.000 I want Barron, Jared.
00:10:34.000 I'm going to throw Tiffany in.
00:10:35.000 Of course, Dumb and Dumb.
00:10:36.000 Tiffany.
00:10:36.000 Oh, gosh.
00:10:37.000 Even Tiffany.
00:10:38.000 I want them all investigated.
00:10:40.000 Every single one of them investigated.
00:10:43.000 Now, I don't want, it's not like I have a Rabid, like, lock them up mentality, but I want them to have trials.
00:10:55.000 And I want if they stole money or they were improper business dealings, all of their money taken away.
00:11:03.000 She wants all of their money taken away based on crimes she cannot specify.
00:11:07.000 Meanwhile, Senator Alex Padilla in California just tweeted out investigate Elon Musk, all capitals.
00:11:12.000 So, does he can he name the crime?
00:11:13.000 What is the crime that Elon Musk is supposed to have committed?
00:11:15.000 So, this is why.
00:11:16.000 When I hear Democrats caterwauling about the fact that Ilhan Omar almost certainly committed a crime and then saying, oh, this is weaponization of justice.
00:11:23.000 You guys have been doing this for years and years and years on end.
00:11:27.000 In fact, the House Judiciary Democrats are already leaking out reports trying to criminalize behavior that, again, has long been out there and is not criminal and is not even evidenced.
00:11:38.000 So they dropped a report suggesting that Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of young women.
00:11:46.000 There's literally nothing new in this report at all.
00:11:50.000 But according to Politico, quote, while Congress does not have the power to appoint a special counsel, the report makes the case for increased federal support to assist with state and foreign prosecutions of Epstein's co conspirators, along with further congressional action to uncover Epstein's expansive sex trafficking scheme.
00:12:03.000 Both actions lawmakers could undertake through legislation.
00:12:06.000 Now, again, I think anybody who committed a crime should be locked up, period.
00:12:09.000 End of story.
00:12:10.000 But the reason Democrats are doing this is because they wish to heap mud on President Trump based on literally no actual evidence.
00:12:17.000 So, again, when there is evidence of crime, as there certainly is with regard to Ilhan Omar, then all of a sudden, They get very upset, but they are perfectly willing to weaponize the Justice Department and Congress itself to investigate all of their political opposition.
00:12:31.000 By the way, some of the people who are also objecting are not members of the U.S. Congress or Democrats in power.
00:12:36.000 They're also the Somali defense minister.
00:12:39.000 So, as Chris Ruffo points out, Somali defense minister Ahmed Molim Fiki has urged Somali Americans, including supporters of U.S. President Trump, to stand by Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, saying she's being singled out because of her Somali origins.
00:12:54.000 Fiki described Omar as a courageous politician who should not be left to confront political hostility alone, regardless of differences over American domestic politics.
00:13:02.000 Quote, I want to send a message to Somalis living in the United States about our sister, Ilhan Omar.
00:13:06.000 She is facing a serious campaign of hostility, and she has been left to fight this battle alone.
00:13:11.000 We may agree or disagree with her political positions in the United States, but we share the same ethnicity, blood, and religion.
00:13:16.000 She is one of our own.
00:13:17.000 Yeah, we know.
00:13:18.000 Yeah, we're aware.
00:13:20.000 We're aware, guys.
00:13:22.000 Somali defense minister coming out on behalf of Ilhan Omar.
00:13:24.000 Somalia, by the way, not exactly governed by friends of the United States.
00:13:27.000 But again, according to Democrats, the only reason people are going after Ilhan Omar is because she is just too influential, and apparently, according to Ilhan Omar, too attractive.
00:13:36.000 Hassan Piker sat with Ilhan Amar and they talked about all of this.
00:13:42.000 She's just too hot.
00:13:43.000 That's why people are upset with her, apparently.
00:13:47.000 I feel like the media has a tendency to highlight everything that you do, some of the things that I do.
00:13:54.000 We're just normal Americans trying to go about our day to day and trying to organize against the Trump administration in the same way that white people are doing in general, right?
00:14:06.000 It's like, why is this?
00:14:07.000 You just look really good on.
00:14:08.000 Their screen, that's why they like hacking me.
00:14:10.000 You think that's why they get you?
00:14:11.000 You think that's why they get you?
00:14:13.000 Yeah, they're like, she's so charismatic.
00:14:15.000 I think that's what it is.
00:14:17.000 I can see that 100%.
00:14:19.000 I agree with that.
00:14:20.000 But yeah, it's very frustrating because, like, they get tired of looking at their, you know, Botox faces.
00:14:25.000 So let's see if we can get some nice natural.
00:14:28.000 So, you're saying if the fascists were hotter, then they would get more, they would be less of us on TV.
00:14:35.000 Yeah.
00:14:35.000 It's not that she hates America, it's that she is so good looking, Ilhan Omar.
00:14:39.000 Ilhan Omar thinks that Ilhan Omar is really, really, really hot.
00:14:42.000 Hmm.
00:14:43.000 Interesting.
00:14:44.000 I'm pretty sure that the reason that people want her out of Congress and maybe out of the country is because she agrees with Hassan Piker.
00:14:51.000 And when they say we're just normal Americans who want to fight the Trump administration, no, you both hate the country.
00:14:56.000 Hassan Piker has said over and over and over again that he hates the country.
00:14:59.000 And by the way, so does Ilhan Omar.
00:15:01.000 She literally wrote a letter to a federal judge on behalf of an ISIS terrorist before she was in Congress.
00:15:06.000 She hates the country.
00:15:08.000 She has always hated the country.
00:15:11.000 She literally wrote a letter to a judge, quote, The desire to commit violence is not inherent to people.
00:15:17.000 It is the consequences of systematic alienation.
00:15:19.000 People seek violent solutions when the process established for enacting change is inaccessible to them.
00:15:24.000 Fueled by disaffection turned to malice, if the guilty are willing to kill and be killed, fighting perceived injustice, imagine the consequence of them hearing, I believe you can be rehabilitated.
00:15:32.000 I want you to become part of my community.
00:15:33.000 And together, we will thrive.
00:15:36.000 The restorative approach provides a long term solution.
00:15:39.000 Though the self declared Islamic State may soon suffer defeat, the radical approach to change making will continue as it has throughout history.
00:15:45.000 You see, ISIS just has a radical approach to change making.
00:15:47.000 According to this sitting congressperson.
00:15:51.000 And we should stop, quote, criminalizing the undergirding construct rather than its predisposed victims.
00:15:57.000 Oh, my goodness.
00:15:58.000 Well, the good news is apparently she violated federal law, so hopefully we can deport her.
00:16:03.000 According, by the way, to our sponsors and friends over at CalShee, she is the politician most likely to be charged with a federal crime this year.
00:16:11.000 38% of the money on CalShee says that she will be charged with a federal crime this year.
00:16:15.000 Second place is Corey Lewandowski.
00:16:17.000 Sadly, however, we cannot deport all of her friends like Hassan Piker.
00:16:21.000 Who spent his day yesterday calling all the Republicans terrorists?
00:16:24.000 By the way, if Republicans were actually terrorists, you'd be in favor of them.
00:16:27.000 There would just have to be radical Islamist terrorists who are murdering Jews.
00:16:29.000 Then you'd be totally in favor.
00:16:33.000 I'm not even going to bring up the Republicans because they are the most un American force in this country.
00:16:38.000 They're terrorists.
00:16:40.000 They are terrorizing our neighborhoods.
00:16:41.000 They're destroying what remains of the social fabric that holds us together.
00:16:49.000 Again, he was doing this event alongside Ilhan Omar and Omar Fateh.
00:16:53.000 Omar Fateh had been running for Minneapolis mayor.
00:16:55.000 He had heavy support in the Somali community, obviously.
00:16:58.000 At the same event, Hassan Piker.
00:17:01.000 Started going after Jacob Fry and Amy Klavachar, who are too far to the center.
00:17:06.000 Which is, I mean, again, they're psycho.
00:17:08.000 Too far to the center.
00:17:09.000 Amy Klavachar and Jacob Fry, who is a nut job leftist.
00:17:13.000 He's the one, you'll remember, kneeling before the casket of George Floyd.
00:17:17.000 Here's the Sun Piker going after them.
00:17:27.000 I feel like I know which Democrat.
00:17:31.000 I disavow them.
00:17:34.000 Who is it?
00:17:35.000 It's Amy Klobuchar.
00:17:41.000 And again, we have less bears.
00:17:55.000 Guys, that's my favorite mayor in the country.
00:17:57.000 Stop.
00:17:59.000 Now, again, those are the people who are the captain now.
00:18:03.000 Omar Fata has a show apparently called I'm the Host Now, which is supposed to be a riff on the Captain Phillips I'm the Captain Now, which is a story about Somali pirates taking over an American ship.
00:18:16.000 Saying the quiet part out loud a little bit, are we?
00:18:18.000 Gavin Newsom, who can be trusted to always say what he believes is most beneficial to him.
00:18:26.000 He was caught by Town Hall being asked about where the Democratic Party was going, and he said the DSA is going to lead the charge.
00:18:34.000 Where do you see, I guess, the Democratic Party going?
00:18:37.000 I think it's, I mean, I think no one is arguing to manage the status quo or fail more efficiently.
00:18:44.000 So I think that the DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for bold change, non incremental change, is very much going to be the dominant.
00:18:55.000 I mean, that's going to be mainstream Democratic people.
00:18:58.000 No question about that.
00:18:58.000 Absolutely.
00:19:00.000 He can't play in the margins anymore.
00:19:03.000 The whole system's broken.
00:19:04.000 It's completely unbalanced.
00:19:06.000 And we can't manage the decline.
00:19:09.000 We have to completely reimagine.
00:19:15.000 So, again, they have to completely reimagine what the Democratic Party will be, what America will be going for.
00:19:21.000 Gavin Newsom, again, there's a reason he is saying that because he's trying to capture the hearts of the DSA.
00:19:26.000 That is where the country goes in the direction of the Ilhan Omar's and the Hassan Pikers if they win.
00:19:32.000 By the way, if you take a look at those calci odds on 2028 Democratic presidential nominees right now, those calci odds have John Ossoff at the top, like 15% shot, Gavin Newsom at 14%, AOC at 13%.
00:19:48.000 Not exactly the dominance of the moderate wing of the Democratic Party.
00:19:53.000 Speaking of which, again, if you look at what Democrats want, you can see why the Democratic Party is taking a hard turn left.
00:19:58.000 So there's a brand new Gallup poll out, and it's sort of fascinating.
00:20:02.000 So it lists 12 values.
00:20:05.000 And the question is, which values does the country need most today?
00:20:09.000 There's a wide gap between the Republicans and the Democrats, as you can imagine.
00:20:12.000 On some issues, there really isn't, like on honesty, for example.
00:20:15.000 Republicans, Democrats, independents, they all think that the country needs honesty in their party and in the country.
00:20:22.000 Republicans say 38%, Democrats 34%, 32%, independents 34%.
00:20:28.000 But there are some fairly wide gaps here.
00:20:32.000 There are real gaps on responsibility.
00:20:35.000 So, again, these are most needed values in the country.
00:20:37.000 Republicans say, 41% of Republicans say that America needs responsibility.
00:20:43.000 Only 24% of Democrats do.
00:20:45.000 Independents, somewhere in the middle, at 32%.
00:20:48.000 So Democrats, not super high on the responsibility.
00:20:50.000 On equality, what are the most needed values in the country?
00:20:53.000 Democrats, their top value is equality.
00:20:55.000 And they don't mean equality of opportunity, they mean equality of outcome.
00:20:58.000 You can see why they're embracing full scale socialism.
00:21:00.000 Literally, 40%, it's their top value.
00:21:03.000 The thing that the country needs most is equality.
00:21:07.000 It's 44%.
00:21:09.000 Their second top quality, by the way, fairness.
00:21:11.000 So, same issue, 34%.
00:21:13.000 For Republicans, only 10% say equality, only 15% say fairness.
00:21:17.000 For independents, the numbers again, somewhere in the middle.
00:21:20.000 30% of independents say equality, 27% say fairness.
00:21:24.000 But the biggest gap of all is on patriotism.
00:21:27.000 The top value that Republicans say the country needs is patriotism, people who love the country.
00:21:32.000 Democrats, you might assume that Democrats also would love people who love the country, right?
00:21:36.000 They just want, they love the country, but want more equality.
00:21:38.000 It turns out that Democrats hate patriotism.
00:21:38.000 Nope.
00:21:42.000 That's not my opinion.
00:21:43.000 That is their opinion.
00:21:44.000 It is literally their least desired value in the country.
00:21:47.000 The most needed values in the country by political party, independence, 15% say patriotism, 46% of Republicans say patriotism, 6% of Democrats say that patriotism is a top value for them.
00:22:03.000 6%.
00:22:05.000 Now, again, these are the biggest gaps in the country.
00:22:07.000 Republicans are all for patriotism and responsibility, and Democrats are all for equality and fairness.
00:22:14.000 And they don't give a crap about patriotism, like at all.
00:22:18.000 Now, again, if your top values as a Democrat for the country are equality and fairness, and you hate patriotism, right?
00:22:23.000 You see patriotism as an actual downside, right?
00:22:26.000 You don't care about it at all.
00:22:28.000 And you can see why they're perfectly fine with Hassan Piker wiping his butt with the American flag, or Zorhan Mamdani, who hates the country, or Elhan Omar, Abdullah Said.
00:22:36.000 You can see why.
00:22:37.000 You can see why, right?
00:22:38.000 The poll tells you everything that you need to know.
00:22:42.000 It's also why Democrats keep nominating loony bin candidates like Angie Nixon in Florida.
00:22:49.000 So, Angie Nixon was asked by CBS whether she's a capitalist.
00:22:52.000 She can't answer the question.
00:22:54.000 So, for people that are confused about where you stand, you've called yourself a capitalist.
00:22:59.000 You're also a member of the DSA.
00:23:00.000 Are you a capitalist or a socialist?
00:23:02.000 So, what I would say is I live in a capitalistic society, and I just want to make sure that people have strong social programs and safety net programs because I've had to use them before.
00:23:15.000 And so, you can call me whatever you want, but just know that I'm going to be out here working and fighting for hardworking and retired people.
00:23:24.000 Folks living with disabilities.
00:23:27.000 So she's not going to say she's a capitalist.
00:23:29.000 You can call her whatever you want.
00:23:30.000 By the way, she also says Cuba might not be a dictatorship, which is a strange perspective to take in a state with a heavy Cuban American population.
00:23:39.000 Do you consider that Cuba is a dictatorship?
00:23:43.000 You know, that is what people have told me.
00:23:45.000 I have never been to Cuba, and so I will have to take their word for it.
00:23:49.000 And I know you're going to go into this.
00:23:51.000 Where do I feel things need to be handled with Cuban relations?
00:23:55.000 Right now, This decades long failed embargo has yet to change over the regime.
00:24:03.000 You know, she's only been told that.
00:24:04.000 She doesn't know.
00:24:05.000 She doesn't know if it's a dictatorship or not.
00:24:07.000 This is who the Democratic Party is putting forward as its candidate in Florida.
00:24:12.000 Meanwhile, University of Michigan students can't even define socialism.
00:24:14.000 So we've done an amazing job with our educational system here.
00:24:19.000 Socialism doesn't mean like anti capitalism.
00:24:23.000 Based off what I learned in my Gov class, it's basically like spending more money on helping society.
00:24:27.000 Socialism to me is a concept in.
00:24:30.000 Politics where everybody gets a little bit of everything.
00:24:33.000 Everybody benefits and everybody is really taken care of, kind of that social net that you see in other types of politics.
00:24:43.000 I think a lot of people get the economic system of socialism confused with the government system of communism.
00:24:53.000 Oh, oh, yeah, things are going well here in this United States.
00:24:57.000 Again, economic lack of understanding has now become a prerequisite for seeking office, apparently, as well.
00:25:03.000 Nithya Raman.
00:25:04.000 Who may very well end up as the mayor of Los Angeles.
00:25:07.000 She literally doesn't understand how landlords lose money.
00:25:10.000 She thinks it's not possible because she's a stupid person.
00:25:15.000 I mean, we're now back to prices from about 10 years ago.
00:25:18.000 So if you bought a fourplex in 2017, you made zero money in 10 years.
00:25:23.000 You could have put that money in the stock market and doubled it.
00:25:25.000 So it is hard to get people.
00:25:28.000 You probably made rental income from it.
00:25:31.000 No, because you generally lose money every month.
00:25:33.000 If you buy a fourplex today for $2 million.
00:25:36.000 It's a fourplex.
00:25:37.000 You're probably going to lose a little bit every month.
00:25:39.000 As a landlord, you cannot break even with rents right now.
00:25:42.000 Even if you don't have rent control.
00:25:44.000 You have rent control.
00:25:44.000 That's not new, you're saying.
00:25:45.000 No, I'm just saying.
00:25:46.000 If you're buying any amount of real estate, even if you're buying a fourplex that's under rent control, well, then it depresses their price probably another 20, 30%, depending on how many rent controls.
00:25:55.000 But let's say there's no rent control at all.
00:25:57.000 If you're buying a fourplex today for $2 million, and it's probably going to cost you about, call it $12,000 a month to carry that property with your loan and your property taxes, whatever, you're not going to get $12,000 in rent.
00:26:09.000 You'll probably get 10 to 11.
00:26:10.000 So most landlords lose about, you know, whatever, $1,000 or $2,000 a month to carry their property.
00:26:19.000 Okay, and she does not understand this at all.
00:26:22.000 At all, at all.
00:26:23.000 Because again, that's the beautiful thing about believing the government can establish equality and fairness top down, you never have to understand anything.
00:26:29.000 By the way, LA continues to suffer from a massive development shortage, despite the fact that there is pretty much no housing in the entire city.
00:26:36.000 According to the Los Angeles Times, construction has slowed across Los Angeles.
00:26:41.000 And the reason for that, a bunch of reasons, rent control is one of them, restrictions on building are another.
00:26:47.000 But there's also a mansion tax that levies a 4 or 5.5% tax on all LA property sales above 5.4%.
00:26:53.000 Million dollars.
00:26:55.000 So people are now sticking to buying smaller properties instead of big properties because if you sell them, then you have to pay the tax.
00:27:00.000 Just genius level stuff all the way across the board.
00:27:02.000 See, here is the thing we have totally miseducated an entire generation of people.
00:27:07.000 We have about socialism, about communism, about economics, about what the government ought to do.
00:27:12.000 It's just one reason we made our brand new film Confession.
00:27:17.000 It's fabulous.
00:27:18.000 This is the movie that we made starring Rob Lowe and James Franco and Nick Nolte, Jennifer Jason Lee, Cody Smith McPhee, Brad Duraff, seven Oscar nominations in that cast.
