The Ben Shapiro Show - The Incitement Lie | Ep. 759

00:00:00.000 Democrats claim that criticism of Representative Ilhan Omar is incitement, Cher becomes a Republican, and Mayor Pete officially launches his campaign.

00:00:07.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.

00:00:08.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:09.000 The Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:12.000 Oh, man, a lot to get to today.

00:00:16.000 We'll get to all of it, including a Game of Thrones recap a little later in the show.

00:00:20.000 But first, in 2008, the U.S.

00:00:21.000 national debt was $10 trillion.

00:00:23.000 Today, the debt is nearly $22 trillion.

00:00:25.000 It is rising like a hockey stick.

00:00:26.000 If you do not think that we are sitting on a house of cards, you're living with your head in the sand.

00:00:29.000 But since you listen to my podcast, you're clearly smarter than the Ava Ridge Bears.

00:00:32.000 So what is your plan?

00:00:34.000 Can you afford another hit to your retirement like the last downturn when the S&P dropped 50%?

00:00:38.000 Hedge against inflation, hedge against uncertainty and instability with precious metals.

00:00:42.000 Gold is a safe haven against uncertainty.

00:00:44.000 My savings plan is diversified and yours should be, too.

00:00:47.000 The company that I trust with precious metal purchases is Birch Gold Group.

00:00:50.000 And right now, thanks to a little-known IRS tax law, you can even move your IRA or eligible 401k into an IRA backed by physical gold and silver, which is good for some people who may want to protect their hard-earned retirement savings from future geopolitical uncertainty.

00:01:03.000 If you look back historically, when the bottom falls out of everything else, gold tends to save card savings.

00:01:07.000 It has never been worth zero.

00:01:08.000 Birch Gold Group has thousands of satisfied customers, countless five-star reviews, and an A-plus rating from the Better Business Bureau.

00:01:14.000 Contact Birch Gold Group.

00:01:15.000 Get a free information kit on physical precious metals.

00:01:17.000 See if diversifying into gold and silver makes some sense for you.

00:01:21.000 This comprehensive 16-page kit reveals how gold and silver can protect your savings, how you can legally move that IRA or 401k out of stocks and bonds into a precious metals IRA if that's something you are interested in.

00:01:31.000 To get that no cost, no obligation kit, text BEN to 474747.

00:01:35.000 Again, text BEN, my name, to 474747. BEN to 474747.

00:01:41.000 All right.

00:01:42.000 So over the weekend, we hear a brand new, brand new narrative from the Democrats.

00:01:46.000 The narrative is, if you're mean to Democrats, you're inciting violence.

00:01:49.000 Now, this is nothing new.

00:01:51.000 This is nothing new.

00:01:51.000 This has been going on for quite a while.

00:01:53.000 When I spoke at Berkeley in 2017, there were people outside my speech chanting, speech is violence. 1.00

00:01:59.000 Now, of course, this is idiotic. 0.99

00:02:00.000 Speech is not violence. 0.99

00:02:01.000 And the First Amendment is predicated on the notion that speech is not violence.

00:02:04.000 That if I say something critical of you, I am not being violent toward you, Then you can rebut my statement without you being violent toward me.

00:02:12.000 The moment we equate speech with violence, we have now provided an excuse for government to step in and shut down speech.

00:02:18.000 Because after all, it is the government's job to prevent externalities.

00:02:21.000 The basic rule of thumb when it comes to government, as articulated by John Stuart Mill, is you get to wave your hand around in any direction until you hit me in the face.

00:02:29.000 Well, that's how speech works.

00:02:30.000 I get to say whatever I want, and so long as I am not actively inciting violence, telling people to come to your house and kill you, or encouraging people to do so, As long as I'm not doing those things, I am not inciting violence.

00:02:41.000 And in fact, it is more likely to break down our public discourse for you to continually suggest that I am inciting violence than is my criticism of you.

00:02:51.000 To suggest that somebody is speaking In a way that incites violence when they are not in fact inciting violence is merely an excuse to silence them.

00:02:58.000 And this is the latest Democratic tactic.

00:03:00.000 After the Democrats have spent years demonizing Republicans.

00:03:03.000 After they have said that Donald Trump is not human.

00:03:06.000 Representative Ilhan Omar said about three weeks ago that Donald Trump was not a human being. 0.99

00:03:11.000 After the Democrats demonized Brett Kavanaugh calling him a gang rapist. 0.99

00:03:14.000 After they suggested that the Covington boys, the Covington Catholic high school boys, were a bunch of racist bigots. 0.86

00:03:21.000 After all of that, now the Democrats have suggested that if you critique Ilhan Omar for being soft on 9-11 and being soft on terrorism more broadly, you are inciting violence against her. 0.99

00:03:30.000 This is sheer crap. 0.99

00:03:31.000 And it is not only that, it is badly motivated crap. 1.00

00:03:35.000 It is designed to protect Ilhan Omar at the expense of the truth and at the expense of her own views being promulgated. 0.98

00:03:41.000 Her own views are very bad.

00:03:42.000 She has a right to them.

00:03:44.000 But if we repeat her own words back to her, that is her problem, not ours.

00:03:48.000 It's pretty astonishing to watch as members of the press do this routine.

00:03:51.000 It's one thing for Democrats.

00:03:52.000 You expect Democrats to be badly motivated in how they attack Republican speech.

00:03:56.000 They've been doing this for a very long time.

00:03:58.000 Never mind that after a Bernie Sanders supporter went and shot up a congressional baseball game, nearly murdered the House majority whip at the time, Steve Scalise, there was zero discussion about Bernie Sanders' rhetoric and whether it incited violence.

00:04:11.000 Although you could certainly say that if the new standard of Democrats, that extreme rhetoric, that loud rhetoric, that hot rhetoric, that that incites violence, if you use that standard, then Bernie Sanders is guilty.

00:04:21.000 But I don't agree that that standard should be used.

00:04:23.000 And at the time, neither did Democrats.

00:04:25.000 Neither did the media.

00:04:26.000 Well now, the media have changed their tune.

00:04:28.000 Everything that President Trump says incites violence, everything said against Republicans, is basically justified. 0.94

00:04:34.000 When Michael Knowles, who works for us over at Daily Wire, went to a university just last week, and somebody physically assaulted him by spraying him with a liquid that, at the time, people thought was bleach.

00:04:43.000 When that happened, the Kansas City Star came forward and suggested that Knowles and the person who shot him with liquid were engaged in a tit-for-tat.

00:04:52.000 So, in other words, Knowles said stuff, and somebody assaulted him, and those were the same thing.

00:04:57.000 When I was on national television and I was talking to a transgender person by the name of Zoe Tur, and I termed Zoe Tur, sir, because the entire question was about whether biological males can be females.

00:05:08.000 And then Zoe Tur proceeded to grab me by the back of the neck on national television and threatened to send me home in an ambulance. 0.98

00:05:13.000 The media treated it as though my words and his actions were equivalent.

00:05:18.000 So this is nothing new.

00:05:19.000 The media has been doing this for a very long time.

00:05:21.000 Anytime somebody on the right says something the left does not like, the left suggests that it is incitement.

00:05:25.000 And anytime the left does something, the left suggests that it was incited by the right, not by their own rhetoric on the left.

00:05:32.000 The latest example of this is Ilhan Omar, of course.

00:05:34.000 So Representative Omar, last week, was caught on tape saying that 9-11 was some people did something.

00:05:41.000 Direct quote.

00:05:42.000 Some people did something.

00:05:44.000 And people said, um, that's a pretty disparaging way of talking about 9-11.

00:05:48.000 Now, I looked at that tape, and I thought, yeah, she's obviously sort of dismissing it, and it fits within a broader worldview of her dismissing terrorism.

00:05:55.000 I read you twice last week on the podcast, I read you twice on the radio show, the letter that she sent to a judge in 2016 in which she recommended leniency for people who joined ISIS on the grounds that they had been marginalized.

00:06:08.000 This is a person who suggested in a column in Time Magazine that America was founded on slavery and genocide, and in order to avoid discussing that, we had cast aspersions at international terrorism.

00:06:19.000 This is not somebody who takes terrorism seriously.

00:06:22.000 But if you mention any of that, if you quote her, and if you draw a conclusion, then this apparently is tantamount to some sort of incitement.

00:06:28.000 Now, President Trump jumped on the bandwagon on Friday.

00:06:32.000 He tweeted out a video that his team put together of Ilhan Omar talking about 9-11 along with footage from 9-11 to remind everybody that if you are dismissing 9-11, here is what you are dismissing.

00:06:42.000 CARE was founded after 9-11 because they recognized that some people did something.

00:06:49.000 So you have no idea right now?

00:06:54.000 Oh, there's another one.

00:06:54.000 Another plane just hit.

00:06:56.000 Some people did something.

00:07:01.000 Oh my goodness, there is smoke pouring out the Pentagon.

00:07:04.000 Some people did something.

00:07:09.000 It just flew straight into it.

00:07:11.000 Some people did something, right?

00:07:18.000 So this is the video.

00:07:19.000 The video is from September 11, 2001, we remember.

00:07:23.000 Because, again, the idea here is that it's not some people did something.

00:07:26.000 Here is what happened, and you remember what happened.

00:07:28.000 This was not some people did something.

00:07:31.000 So President Trump tweets this out and people get very angry at him for having juxtaposed her words with the footage of 9-11.

00:07:38.000 Oh, it's just so terrible.

00:07:39.000 How could he do such a thing?

00:07:42.000 How about she said what she said and then the footage juxtaposed to what she said That's not only an element of free speech, that is also a fair critique of Ilhan Omar not taking 9-11 seriously enough.

00:07:53.000 But here's what this prompted.

00:07:55.000 Representative Omar still has not said what would be the easiest thing in the world to say.

00:07:59.000 Seriously, it would have been the easiest thing.

00:08:00.000 The day after Representative Dan Crenshaw tweeted out the video, the day after it started being publicized, all Ilhan Omar had to say is, my broader point was obviously, it wasn't obvious, but my broader point was obviously that people who are not the mainstream of the Muslim world committed an awful evil terrorist act, and then the impact was on Muslims more broadly, and that was a terrible thing.

00:08:21.000 But I never meant to downplay 9-11, and any suggestion that I did is off-base.

00:08:25.000 That's all she had to say.

00:08:26.000 She still has not said that.

00:08:27.000 She still has not said those things.

00:08:29.000 Instead, she's doubled down on this stuff.

00:08:32.000 She tweeted out a quote from George W. Bush and suggested that George W. Bush minimize 9-11, which is a joke.

00:08:38.000 It is not close to true.

00:08:39.000 Well, now her new tack is, everyone's being mean to me.

00:08:42.000 Welcome to politics, Representative Omar.

00:08:45.000 Everybody's mean to me.

00:08:47.000 She tweeted out, we are all Americans.

00:08:49.000 This is endangering lives.

00:08:51.000 It has to stop.

00:08:51.000 Really, is this endangering lives?

00:08:53.000 Really weird, Ilhan Omar, because I seem to remember when three times in the last four months, you have made openly anti-Semitic statements.

00:09:00.000 You claimed that Jews were engaged in dual loyalty and Israel supporters were engaged in dual loyalty for the state of Israel.

00:09:05.000 You suggested that American Jewish money was behind the American support for Israel.

00:09:13.000 And you suggested also that the Jews were responsible for hypnotizing the world.

00:09:18.000 I mean, all of this happened in the last four months.

00:09:20.000 Over and over and over, you said anti-Semitic things.

00:09:23.000 And hate crimes against Jews are up significantly around the world, and particularly in the United States.

00:09:28.000 I don't remember any arguments about Ilhan Omar's language helping to incite violence.

00:09:33.000 You know why?

00:09:34.000 Because she wasn't inciting violence, even though what she was saying was vile and terrible and hate-filled.

00:09:39.000 That still was not inciting violence.

00:09:42.000 And yet, according to Ilhan Omar, if you quote her, it's inciting violence.

00:09:46.000 Quote, we are all Americans.

00:09:47.000 This is endangering lives.

00:09:48.000 It has to stop.

00:09:49.000 And then she puts out this long statement on Twitter.

00:09:52.000 Since the president's tweet Friday evening, I have experienced an increase in direct threats on my life, many directly referencing or replying to the president's video.

00:09:59.000 I thank the Capitol Police, the FBI, the House Sergeant at Arms and the Speaker of the House for their attention to these threats.

00:10:05.000 Violent crimes and other acts of hate by right-wing extremists and white nationalists are on the rise in this country and around the world.

00:10:11.000 Okay, first of all, it is not totally clear that other acts of hate by right-wing extremists in the United States are actually on the rise in this country.

00:10:18.000 There are more reporting agencies.

00:10:20.000 But put that aside, even assume that's true.

00:10:22.000 What in the world does that have to do with Trump tweeting out a video of you saying things juxtaposed to the thing you're talking about?

00:10:28.000 And then she continues.

00:10:29.000 We can no longer ignore that they are being encouraged by the occupant of the highest office in the land.

00:10:33.000 Counties that hosted a 2016 Trump rally saw a 226% increase in hate crimes in the months following the rally.

00:10:40.000 An assault increase when cities host Trump rallies.

00:10:43.000 This is particularly concerning, giving the president's visit to my home state of Minnesota on Monday.

00:10:47.000 Violent rhetoric and all forms of hate speech have no place in our society, much less from our country's commander in chief.

00:10:52.000 We are all Americans.

00:10:53.000 This is endangering lives.

00:10:55.000 It has to stop.

00:10:56.000 Okay, question.

00:10:56.000 We played the video.

00:10:58.000 Was anything in there a form of hate speech?

00:11:00.000 Was it violent rhetoric?

00:11:02.000 Or was it simply quoting her next to footage of the thing she was talking about?

00:11:06.000 This playing victim routine, where she is a prominent politician on the cover of national magazines, on the cover of Rolling Stone, alongside Nancy Pelosi. 0.99

00:11:14.000 And the idea is that if you quote her, and you point out that she has a perverse worldview, That when you suggest that, that that is some sort of initiation or incitement of violence against her?

00:11:24.000 This is a pure, easy tactic for shutting down debate.

00:11:27.000 For shutting down speech.

00:11:28.000 That's what this is. 0.99

00:11:28.000 And I take my share of crap, let me tell you. 0.99

00:11:31.000 I have security nearly full time and I have for, at this point, months and years because of the amount of hate and the number of death threats that I get. 0.99

00:11:38.000 And you know what?

00:11:39.000 People are still allowed to criticize me.

00:11:40.000 I've never called for anyone to be banned from Twitter.

00:11:42.000 I've never called for anyone to be banned from Facebook.

00:11:44.000 I've never called for the police to go and arrest any of my critics.

00:11:46.000 I've never suggested that people who criticize me are inciting violence no matter how vile or out of context they are.

00:11:53.000 And yet if you're Ilhan Omar, the media will parrot this.

00:11:54.000 That's the part that's astonishing.

00:11:56.000 These First Amendment loving media members who say that Trump is shutting down free speech.

00:12:01.000 They will jump right on the bandwagon when it comes to Donald Trump is somehow inciting violence in violation of the First Amendment.

00:12:06.000 It's insane.

00:12:08.000 We'll get to more of this in just a second.

00:13:44.000 It's really terrific.

00:13:45.000 Okay, so.

00:13:46.000 The press and the Democrats keep pushing forward this narrative that President Trump and people who have criticized Ilhan Omar, Representative Dan Crenshaw, they're responsible for incitement.

00:13:53.000 It demonstrates the full-scale bad faith of people making the argument, particularly in the press, when you look at the sort of rhetoric that the left has been using for years at this point.

00:14:03.000 Years.

00:14:04.000 The Southern Poverty Law Center labeled the Family Research Council a hate group.

00:14:09.000 Just within a few weeks, a person named, well I won't name him because he was a shooter, a shooter walked into the headquarters at the Family Research Council and shot up the Family Research Council and nearly killed a guard, an armed guard.

00:14:22.000 The Southern Poverty Law Center continued to be used as a source by most of the media until their well-deserved collapse in the last couple of months.

00:14:30.000 Bernie Sanders, again, one of his supporters, shot up a congressional baseball game.

00:14:33.000 It was out of the news inside of a week.

00:14:35.000 Donald Trump tweets out a video that includes a quote from a sitting congresswoman who is on the House Foreign Affairs Committee juxtaposed with the things she's talking about.

00:14:43.000 And this is incitement to violence?

00:14:46.000 This is obviously about Donald Trump being evil?

00:14:50.000 It's insipid. 0.99

00:14:51.000 And it's bad faith garbage designed to prevent anyone from discussing the reality of Ilhan Omar's views, which are egregiously radical. 0.98

00:14:58.000 Egregiously radical across the board, and particularly when it comes to foreign policy. 0.99

00:15:03.000 Meanwhile, other members of Congress are jumping on the bandwagon with this sort of garbage. 0.98

00:15:07.000 AOC tweeted out the worst version of this last week. 0.99

00:15:11.000 I mean, this is just beyond insane.

00:15:13.000 It's beyond insane.

00:15:14.000 It's actually despicable what she tweeted out.

00:15:16.000 So she tweeted out, This wonderful fresh face of the Democratic Congress.

00:15:20.000 Quote, Okay, and then she tweets out that famous poem from the Reverend Niemöller, I believe.

00:15:43.000 The first they came for the socialists, and I was not a socialist, so I said nothing.

00:15:46.000 And then they came for the trade unionists, and then they came for the Jews, and then finally when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me. 0.64

00:15:53.000 So she's invoking the Holocaust.

00:15:55.000 She's invoking the Holocaust in order to defend the worst anti-Semite in Congress. 0.65

00:16:00.000 So Ilhan Omar, who keeps saying anti-Semitic things over and over and over to the point where members of her own party have gone to AIPAC and condemned her.

00:16:07.000 I'm talking specifically about Steini Hoyer, the House Majority Whip.

00:16:11.000 He goes to AIPAC and condemns her.

00:16:13.000 Ilhan Omar is now being equated to Jews.

00:16:17.000 Historically, and Jews were murdered in the Holocaust.

00:16:19.000 So, in other words, Donald Trump quoting a sitting member of Congress is the same as Donald Trump liquidating people like Ilhan Omar.

00:16:27.000 That's what this is. 0.94

00:16:28.000 Do you know how insulting and disgusting that is? 0.76

00:16:32.000 It really is. 0.98

00:16:32.000 And then you have radicals, insane people like Max Berger. 0.98

00:16:35.000 And you can see the true agenda here in this particular tweet. 0.93

00:16:39.000 Max Berger happens to be the co-founder of If Not Now, which is a wildly anti-Israel, far-left garbage organization that spends most of its days slandering Israel and trying to make time on behalf of terror apologists. 0.88

00:16:54.000 So Max Berger tweets out, "Jews need to understand that Muslims now play the role we have played throughout our history. 0.98

00:17:00.000 They are blamed for the failures of people in power.

00:17:02.000 In this time of rising fascism, American Jews must defend Ilhan Omar and our Muslim brothers and sisters with all our might." If I could, I would flip the double bird to Max Berger.

00:17:13.000 What a disastrous, disgusting piece of garbage tweet that is. 1.00

00:17:17.000 My goodness. 1.00

00:17:18.000 Muslims play the role that Jews have played? 0.99

00:17:20.000 Really?

00:17:20.000 Who are the leading targets of hate crimes for the last 20 years in the United States, year on year?

00:17:24.000 It's always Jews. 1.00

00:17:26.000 There are 50 Muslim states on planet Earth. 0.97

00:17:28.000 There is one Jewish state, and that Jewish state is under constant rocket barrage from a terrorist group. 0.92

00:17:34.000 Muslims play the... There are 1.8 billion Muslims on planet Earth. 0.69

00:17:37.000 There are 14 million Jews.

00:17:39.000 Muslims play the role that Jews play throughout history?

00:17:43.000 Under... What?

00:17:45.000 But this is the intersectional world view.

00:17:47.000 Ilhan Omar gets to say whatever the F she wants about Jews, because Ilhan Omar is a Somali woman who is Muslim. 0.90

00:17:53.000 And so she gets to say whatever she wants about Jews, she gets to say whatever she wants about 9-11, and no one is supposed to say anything. 0.74

00:17:58.000 And if you say something, you're inciting against her and victimizing her.

00:18:02.000 And the Jews who are victimized by Ilhan Omar, the Jews who are called dual loyalists, the Jews who it is suggested are the font and the wellspring of evil in the world by people like Ilhan Omar. 0.82

00:18:15.000 They are hypnotizing the world.

00:18:18.000 Those people really need to point, they need to just cede the mantle of victimhood to Ilhan Omar, who really is the true victim.

00:18:24.000 A young woman who has spent some time in America, you know, she's been here since 12, since age 12, a refugee taken in by the most generous country on the face of the earth, and then put in Congress with no record other than being herself.

00:18:36.000 That's it.

00:18:38.000 Truly astonishing.

00:18:39.000 But don't worry, guys.

00:18:40.000 We have to, we must defend Ilhan Omar.

00:18:42.000 Bend the Ark, another anti-Israel, you know, front group.

00:18:47.000 They call themselves Jewish Action, but this is an anti-Jewish group.

00:18:49.000 They tweeted out, Shabbat Shalom to Ilhan Omar and our black and Muslim family. 0.91

00:18:54.000 The attacks on you from the president are violent and unconscionable.

00:18:57.000 Violent?

00:18:59.000 Were they violent attacks?

00:18:59.000 Because it seems to me that Jews have experienced some violent attacks before.

00:19:06.000 The only way I have Ilhan Omar's back is that she has the right to say what she wants to say.

00:19:15.000 Every other way I absolutely do not have her back, and neither do the vast majority of Jews in the country who have been targeted by her hateful rhetoric over and over and over again.

00:19:23.000 And I don't care how many covers of magazines she appears on.

00:19:26.000 And I don't give a damn how many Democratic leaders come out and suggest that she is the victim of violence. 0.97

00:19:31.000 She was criticized.

00:19:32.000 That is not the same thing as being a victim of violence.

00:19:34.000 And if people send her death threats, those people should be arrested.

00:19:37.000 But that is not the same thing as the president pointing out a thing she said. 1.00

00:19:41.000 Nancy Pelosi playing the same stupid game. 0.99

00:19:43.000 She tweeted out, Donald Trump's dangerous video must be taken down. 1.00

00:19:46.000 I have spoken with the sergeant-at-arms to ensure that Capitol Police are conducting a security assessment to safeguard Representative Omar, her family, and her staff.

00:19:54.000 They will continue to monitor and address the threats she faces." And then she tweeted out, following the president's tweet, I spoke with the sergeant-at-arms, and then it's her, and then it says, the president's words weigh a ton, and his hateful and inflammatory rhetoric creates real danger.

00:20:08.000 Creates real danger?

00:20:09.000 Nancy Pelosi said that Americans were collateral damage of President Trump's policies.

00:20:14.000 Democrats, day after day after day, have suggested that the President of the United States is a Russian agent.

00:20:19.000 They've said that you're going to die because of net neutrality.

00:20:21.000 They're going to die because of global warming.

00:20:23.000 They're going to die because of his tax cuts.

00:20:26.000 None of that was incitement.

00:20:27.000 You know why?

00:20:27.000 Because it wasn't incitement.

00:20:29.000 It's stupid. 1.00

00:20:30.000 It's hateful. 1.00

00:20:31.000 It's not incitement.

00:20:33.000 And yet Democrats demonstrating the death of the liberal mentality that I disagree with what you say, but I'll die for your right to say it.

00:20:40.000 They've decided no. 0.99

00:20:41.000 Instead, you should shut up. 0.96

00:20:43.000 And if you say anything, we'll just call it incitement. 0.98

00:20:45.000 How convenient.

00:20:46.000 And it's not just Nancy Pelosi, of course.

00:20:48.000 You have Bernie Sanders coming forth and saying this.

00:20:50.000 He tweets out, Ilhan Omar is a leader with strength and courage.

00:20:53.000 Of course Bernie Sanders says this.

00:20:55.000 There's no more anti-Israel candidate on planet Earth.

00:20:57.000 He says she won't back down to Trump's racism and hate and neither will we.

00:21:00.000 The disgusting and dangerous attacks against her must end.

00:21:03.000 Dangerous attacks against her?

00:21:05.000 One of your supporters shot up a bunch of Congress people about two years ago, dude.

00:21:10.000 I don't remember a huge conversation about your dangerous attacks on everybody who opposed your Medicare for All plan, which you said was responsible.

00:21:18.000 People's refusal of that plan was responsible for tens of thousands of dead, according to you.

00:21:22.000 I don't remember that conversation being called dangerous.

00:21:25.000 You know why?

00:21:26.000 Because it's not dangerous.

00:21:27.000 If I seem exercised about this, that's because I am.

00:21:31.000 It's an absurd, disgusting contention designed at sapping the strength of our republic.

00:21:35.000 The strength of our republic is that you can say something, and I can say something, and that's not called violence.

00:21:40.000 And yet Democrats want to say that this is all called violence, as long as it's somebody on the right saying it.

00:21:46.000 It's nothing but bad faith censorship, and that's what they're attempting right now.

00:21:50.000 Coming up in a second, I'll show you some more of this nonsense.

00:21:53.000 They've all bought into this lock, stock, and barrel.

00:21:55.000 Leftists cannot be allowed to take control of this government if this is going to be their mentality.

00:21:59.000 If liberals take control of government, your taxes go up.

00:22:01.000 If leftists take control of your government, your rights are in danger.

00:22:05.000 Horrifying.

00:22:06.000 We'll get to that in a second.

00:23:16.000 So other Democratic candidates come out and they mirror the AOC, Ilhan Omar, Nancy Pelosi lie that if you criticize Ilhan Omar, you're responsible for violence.

00:23:26.000 This, shortly after, AOC suggests that it's like the Holocaust to criticize Ilhan Omar. 0.98

00:23:31.000 Jay Inslee, who's running a quixotic, idiotic campaign for the presidency, he has no shot, he's tweeting out, Question, how is he putting all Muslim Americans in harm's way? 0.99

00:23:39.000 at Tordail Han Omar is jeopardizing her safety. 1.00

00:23:42.000 He is deliberately putting her and all Muslim Americans in harm's way.

00:23:45.000 Question, how is he putting all Muslim Americans in harm's way?

00:23:48.000 Did all Muslim Americans call 9-11 some people did something?

00:23:52.000 Did all of them suggest radically anti-Semitic stuff?

00:23:56.000 Did all of them do that stuff?

00:23:57.000 Also, where has he called for violence?

00:24:00.000 What is your standard for incitement?

00:24:02.000 If it's this low, then it seems to me that your criticism of President Trump is inciting violence against President Trump.

00:24:07.000 Hell, somebody set himself on fire in front of the White House on Friday.

00:24:10.000 Elizabeth Warren says the president is inciting violence against a sitting congresswoman and an entire group of Americans based on their religion.

00:24:17.000 How?

00:24:18.000 How?

00:24:20.000 I need an explanation.

00:24:21.000 How did he incite violence against an entire group of Americans based on their religion?

00:24:25.000 It seems to me that if you're talking about inciting violence against groups based on religion, your party, Elizabeth Warren, is in the midst of doing that if we're going to use your standard of incitement.

00:24:33.000 I mean, you're the ones who are propping up anti-Semites, open anti-Semites like Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.

00:24:40.000 Elizabeth Warren knows better than this, but she's a joke who's looking for attention. 1.00

00:24:43.000 She says that the president's rhetoric is disgusting, it's shameful, and any elected leader who refuses to condemn it shares responsibility for it.

00:24:50.000 Ah, I see.

00:24:51.000 I see.

00:24:51.000 So if President Trump says something, and then people don't condemn it as incitement, then they are responsible for violence too.

00:24:58.000 So everyone is responsible for violence.

00:24:59.000 The only criteria here is that you have to be on the right.

00:25:04.000 That's it.

00:25:04.000 Cory Booker does the same thing.

00:25:06.000 Then all this is in bad faith.

00:25:08.000 Senator Booker tweets out Trump's recent attacks on Ilhan Omar are unacceptable.

00:25:12.000 This is the same language that gives extremists license to carry out violence against our Muslim brothers and sisters.

00:25:19.000 I cannot express to you how it really is.

00:25:21.000 It is truly un-American. 0.89

00:25:22.000 It is un-American to suggest that everyone who disagrees with you is inciting violence against you.

00:25:27.000 It is an un-American thing. 0.61

00:25:29.000 The First Amendment says that you get to speak Incitement is a legal standard.

00:25:35.000 Incitement is illegal.

00:25:37.000 If I incite someone to violence, if I go over to my producers and I say, go kill X today, I am responsible for inciting violence.

00:25:43.000 That's a legal standard and I can be arrested for it.

00:25:46.000 To equate speech with violence is the essence of tyranny.

00:25:50.000 Here's Cory Booker doing it on Face the Nation.

00:25:53.000 Are you offended by the Congresswoman's language? 0.97

00:25:55.000 Some people did something.

00:25:58.000 I think that it is what she's experiencing right now She does not deserve, from what she said in her speech, she does not deserve the kind of vicious, hate-filled attacks that she's experiencing, threats on her life right now.

00:26:14.000 We all, as Americans, just say that's outrageous and unacceptable.

00:26:17.000 And what Donald Trump is doing is he's making life dangerous, not just for her, but for other Muslim Americans.

00:26:23.000 Now, look how he avoids the question, right?

00:26:24.000 The question was, what do you think of her statements?

00:26:26.000 And he says, well, her treatment is really bad.

00:26:28.000 That's not the question.

00:26:29.000 I agree.

00:26:30.000 Anyone who issues a death threat to Ilhan Omar should promptly be arrested.

00:26:33.000 That's true.

00:26:35.000 Also, what she said was egregious.

00:26:37.000 Also, she has said nothing but egregious things, apparently, since joining Congress.

00:26:40.000 And you and your party keep covering for her, Cory Booker.

00:26:43.000 And then Beto O'Rourke, who, by the way, is sinking in the polls like a stone, as well he should be.

00:26:47.000 Beto, he comes out and does the same routine.

00:26:50.000 This is an incitement to violence against Congresswoman Omar, against our fellow Americans who happened to be Muslim. 0.99

00:27:01.000 This is part and parcel of what we've seen from an administration that has described Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals. 0.99

00:27:11.000 Okay, that happens to be a lie. 0.98

00:27:13.000 Okay, this administration has not defined all Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals. 0.98

00:27:18.000 He suggested also that Trump called immigrants animals. 0.97

00:27:20.000 That is not true.

00:27:21.000 He called them as 13 animals.

00:27:23.000 But this whole routine is so well coordinated.

00:27:26.000 That it has to be coming top down. 0.88

00:27:28.000 It has to be that Ilhan Omar trotted out this garbage defense and the Democratic leadership decided it's time for everybody to get on the same page. 0.83

00:27:34.000 And everybody is now going to kowtow to the woke portion of the base that chants speech and violence and speeches like mine and equate actual acts of violence against right-wingers with speech by right-wingers. 0.94

00:27:46.000 That's what's going on here. 0.95

00:27:47.000 Now, hilariously enough, it is fascinating to see how Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar and AOC truly have the Democratic leadership by the cojones here. 0.93

00:27:56.000 They really haven't. 0.72

00:27:58.000 I mean, it's amazing. 0.92

00:28:00.000 Rashida Tlaib, in the midst of all this, in the midst of all the Democrats coming up, And defending, and defending Ilhan Omar for saying garbage things on a regular basis. 0.88

00:28:09.000 Rashida Tlaib, who also says garbage things on a regular basis, but happens to be slightly more sophisticated about it. 0.56

00:28:14.000 She tweets out, To truly honor our diversity is to never silence us. 0.98

00:28:17.000 So in other words, you have to shut up and listen to us.

00:28:19.000 at the table or speak up about issues that impact who we are, what we fight for, and why we ran in the first place, we are ignored.

00:28:25.000 To truly honor our diversity is to never silence us.

00:28:28.000 So in other words, you have to shut up and listen to us.

00:28:31.000 That's Rashida Tlaib saying that to Nancy Pelosi. 1.00

00:28:33.000 You need to shut up and listen to us. 0.98

00:28:35.000 And Nancy Pelosi, being a doof, immediately falls prey to this. 1.00

00:28:39.000 In practice. 0.92

00:28:40.000 In practice.

00:28:41.000 Now, why should people take Rashida Tlaib's views seriously?

00:28:45.000 She is one of 435 elected congresspeople.

00:28:47.000 Why should her views have outsized impact? 0.99

00:28:49.000 Particularly, since Rashida Tlaib happens to be a radical anti-Semite who spends a lot of time associating with radical anti-Semites. 0.64

00:28:57.000 You'll recall that there was a person named Abbas Hamideh.

00:29:00.000 He tweeted out, quote, I was honored to be a congresswoman Rashida Tlaib swearing in ceremony in Detroit and private dinner afterward with the entire family, friends and activists across the country.

00:29:09.000 Hashtag Palestine.

00:29:10.000 Hashtag tweet your Thobe. 0.90

00:29:12.000 Hashtag Rashida Tlaib.

00:29:15.000 He tweeted that out.

00:29:16.000 So who exactly is Abbas Hamadeh, who's standing there in the picture, presenting her a picture of herself?

00:29:20.000 Here's a tweet he sent over the weekend.

00:29:21.000 Quote, the dangerous part about a Jew landing on the moon is that 3,000 years from now, Zionist ideology could claim ownership of the moon. 0.90

00:29:28.000 What a nice guy.

00:29:31.000 But, the good news is that he has lots of tweets like this.

00:29:33.000 Two days later.

00:29:34.000 Okay, two days later.

00:29:35.000 This would have been yesterday.

00:29:36.000 Quote.

00:29:37.000 OK, so the guy named Yona Lieberman tweeted, American Jewish leaders led the fight to publicly undermine Ilhan Omar after a comment about AIPAC.

00:29:43.000 To make up for that, they now need to lead the fight in her favor.

00:29:46.000 Abbas Hamidi tweets, I concur with this Jew. 1.00

00:29:48.000 American Jews started this slander against Ilhan Omar because she called AIPAC out.

00:29:53.000 This is well documented.

00:29:54.000 Oh, really?

00:29:55.000 Is it well documented?

00:29:55.000 Because it seems like everybody who is pro-Israel and pro-Jewish pointed out that what she said was anti-Semitic, including Democratic leaders.

00:30:03.000 Over the weekend, Abbas Hamideh. 0.92

00:30:05.000 Arab Jews who turned criminal Zionists. 0.97

00:30:07.000 Don't cry about not being wanted by your Arab nations. 1.00

00:30:09.000 You can't be trusted just like European occupiers. 0.99

00:30:12.000 Enjoy Poland one day with the rest of your fellow European criminal invaders. 1.00

00:30:16.000 That was your choice, not the choice of Arab countries. 1.00

00:30:19.000 In other words, destroy Israel, send all the Jews back to Poland. 1.00

00:30:23.000 Abbas Hamideh, close friend of Rashida Tlaib. 0.88

00:30:25.000 Clearly, this is a person whose views should be taken incredibly seriously.

00:30:29.000 I mean, this is a person who she needs to be taken seriously and my criticism of her probably is inciting violence according to the democratic standard.

00:30:37.000 If I read those tweets and I point out that this person is a close friend of Rashida Tlaib, then this obviously is inciting violence in some way.

00:30:44.000 Never mind that people do this kind of stuff to every public figure.

00:30:47.000 Never mind that I myself have been taken out of context repeatedly, routinely throughout my career.

00:30:52.000 All of that is free speech.

00:30:54.000 I may dislike it.

00:30:54.000 I may fight back against it.

00:30:56.000 It's not incitement.

00:30:58.000 It's amazing.

00:30:58.000 Now, in a second, I'll show you that the Democratic leadership is deeply uncomfortable with all of this, but they have to pretend to like it.

00:31:05.000 It's pretty incredible, as I say, how these new Democratic Congresswomen, because they are woke and diverse and intersectional, really have the Democratic Party by the short hairs.

00:31:15.000 It's pretty incredible.

00:31:16.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:32:03.000 And leave us a review.

00:32:04.000 We always appreciate it.

00:32:04.000 We are the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:32:08.000 Okay, so the Democrats are clearly uncomfortable with all of this, but they've been forced into a corner by featuring the woke Congress people hoping to duplicate the Obama 2012 coalition.

00:32:25.000 Oh, we'll get outsized minority votes if we feature these woke congresspeople. 1.00

00:32:28.000 Now Nancy Pelosi has been boxed in. 1.00

00:32:31.000 I mean, Nancy Pelosi, I've never seen Nancy Pelosi look more uncomfortable than when she is talking about Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and AOC, because she knows that these radical congresspeople are driving the Democratic Party away from the middle of the country. 0.50

00:32:43.000 And I don't mean, like, the physical middle of the country.

00:32:45.000 I mean from anyone who considers themselves moderate or independent or even liberal.

00:32:50.000 These new woke congresspeople are driving those people away from the Democratic Party. 0.94

00:32:54.000 Nancy Pelosi hates it.

00:32:55.000 You can see it.

00:32:55.000 She was with Leslie Stuhl on 60 Minutes.

00:32:57.000 Here's how it sounded.

00:32:59.000 You have these wings.

00:33:00.000 AOC and her group on one side.

00:33:03.000 That's like five people.

00:33:05.000 No, it's the progressive group.

00:33:07.000 It's more than five.

00:33:08.000 I'm a progressive, yeah.

00:33:10.000 So there's Nancy Pelosi trying to cut AOC dead. 1.00

00:33:12.000 It's like five people, that wing.

00:33:14.000 And then when Lesley Stahl says, no, those are the progressives, she says, no, no, no, I'm the progressive. 1.00

00:33:18.000 Okay, Nancy, then take control of your damn party. 1.00

00:33:20.000 Now, I've heard what a clever manipulator you are. 1.00

00:33:23.000 I keep hearing from the left that you are a Machiavellian politician bar none, that you are the queen of the House of Representatives. 1.00

00:33:30.000 So, What are you doing about this?

00:33:32.000 Anything?

00:33:32.000 Or are you just gonna... I mean, we already know.

00:33:35.000 You've already decided that you're gonna kowtow to all of these women who say awful things on a regular basis. 0.82

00:33:41.000 You're going to kowtow to them because you are too scared of pissing off your own base.

00:33:44.000 Alright, well live with the consequences.

00:33:46.000 And don't pretend that it's incitement to criticize you or them.

00:33:49.000 Politics is about criticism.

00:33:51.000 Politics is about a back and forth.

00:33:53.000 Politics is about the dialectic process of finding truth by discussion.

00:33:56.000 And if you don't like that, then you are a problem.

00:33:59.000 If you don't like that, then you are the one who is imposing tyranny from above.

00:34:04.000 Truly amazing.

00:34:05.000 But this mentality has spread throughout the Democratic Party.

00:34:09.000 The Democratic Party, the top levels of it, and the progressive woke base, they've decided to participate in this Maoist system where either you must shut up and listen to the most intersectional among us, Or we are going to call you out as racist and as inciting violence.

00:34:25.000 So that means the only thing that you can do is basically lay prostrate before your intersectional bettors.

00:34:30.000 And if you lay prostrate before your intersectional bettors, then everything will be alright.

00:34:34.000 That's the only way you can avoid blame.

00:34:36.000 And that's why you end up with pieces like this in the New England Journal of Medicine.

00:34:41.000 The New England Journal of Medicine has a piece today from a doctor named Deborah Cohan And the piece says, quote, I am racist, shaped by the sometimes subtle tendrils of white supremacy deeply embedded in our culture.

00:34:54.000 I mean, this not as a sanctimonious admission of guilt, but as a call to self reflection and action for us white physicians.

00:35:01.000 Oh, is that what you mean by it?

00:35:02.000 Or do you mean that now no one can criticize you because you have confessed your racism in this Maoist struggle session in the pages of the New England Journal of Medicine?

00:35:10.000 What does this have to do with medicine?

00:35:11.000 The answer, of course, is nothing.

00:35:13.000 Deborah Cohen writes, not dealing with our racism is a manifestation of our privilege and reinforces a system that allows white physicians to dip into the waters of self-inquiry only when it feels safe.

00:35:22.000 So you'll be allowed to speak so long as what you speak is the language of surrender to the intersectional racism of the left.

00:35:29.000 So if you say, listen, I'm a racist and I accept that I can't challenge the views of anyone who disagrees with me, who ranks higher on the victimhood scale and intersectionality.

00:35:37.000 Then you can talk.

00:35:38.000 But that's the only thing we're going to allow you to say.

00:35:41.000 Into this culture, wild leftists are now pushing an even more insane proposal.

00:35:47.000 Benjamin Applebaum, who's on the New York Times editorial board, one of the worst editorial boards in the country, He has a piece today called Everyone's Income Taxes Should Be Public.

00:35:57.000 So into this woke culture, this culture where we are going to shame you if you disagree, we are also going to ask that everyone's tax returns be public so that we can fine people and destroy their lives.

00:36:09.000 It's pretty astonishing.

00:36:11.000 Now, I have a solution.

00:36:12.000 How about the New York Times editorial board goes first?

00:36:14.000 Is there anything good about the idea that... Why is everyone privy to my finances?

00:36:19.000 Why should they be privy to your finances?

00:36:22.000 The only reason to do any of this, the only reason the left is pushing any of this, is to forward the bullying culture that they have created for themselves.

00:36:32.000 Is to push the idea that...

00:36:35.000 If you do not do what they want on your tax returns, if you earn too much money, you are bad.

00:36:39.000 You are morally bankrupt, and therefore they can attack you.

00:36:42.000 If you are white, they can morally attack you until you suggest that you are, in fact, part of a racist superstructure, in which case you're allowed to talk.

00:36:48.000 And if you won't do either of those things, if you won't throw open your doors to the Maoists, then they will target you. 0.98

00:36:57.000 And they will call you a racist, bigot, sexist, homophobe who's inciting violence. 0.78

00:37:01.000 All this stuff is so disturbing. 0.96

00:37:03.000 This is not liberalism.

00:37:04.000 Liberalism is dead.

00:37:05.000 This is the left.

00:37:07.000 Liberalism used to be about we want a little more government intervention in the economy.

00:37:11.000 I disagreed with that, but that was the case.

00:37:13.000 Now liberalism is about confessing your racism in public, even if you're not a racist.

00:37:19.000 Now leftism is about throw open the doors of your tax returns so we can all examine in detail whether we approve of your earning and spending habits.

00:37:30.000 Now it's about if you criticize us, then you're inciting violence.

00:37:34.000 You want to break up a democracy?

00:37:35.000 You want to break up a republic?

00:37:36.000 This is how you do it right here.

00:37:37.000 And we're watching it happen.

00:37:39.000 Okay, meanwhile, something hilarious did happen over the weekend.

00:37:43.000 It's been pretty funny.

00:37:44.000 So President Trump, as we talked about on Friday, apparently floated a proposal whereby people who are coming into the country illegally, and for which the federal government did not have the resources because Democrats have not provided the funding necessary to keep families together at the border, President Trump suggested, okay, instead of just shipping them to the local border town, instead of just sending them to El Paso and letting them roam around in El Paso, how about this?

00:38:07.000 You guys on the left, you don't want to provide me the funding, and since you don't want to provide me the funding, and since you also have created sanctuary cities, how about we send them to you?

00:38:15.000 And you deal with it.

00:38:16.000 President Trump tweeted out, Democrats must change the immigration laws fast.

00:38:20.000 If not, sanctuary cities must immediately act to take care of the illegal immigrants. 0.83

00:38:23.000 And this includes gang members, drug dealers, human traffickers and criminals of all shapes, sizes and kinds.

00:38:28.000 Change the laws now.

00:38:30.000 Now, the point that he is making here, of course, is that if you are wildly pro open borders, then you should probably feel the consequences of your decision making.

00:38:37.000 He says, so interesting to see the mayor of Oakland and other sanctuary cities do not want our currently detained immigrants after a lease due to the ridiculous court order 20 day rule.

00:38:46.000 If they don't want to serve our nation by taking care of them, why should other cities and towns?

00:38:49.000 There is nothing wrong with what he is saying here.

00:38:52.000 You may not like President Trump, but what he is saying here is true.

00:38:55.000 If you believe that illegal immigration only adds benefit to your city, and if you believe that the president has been overstating the problems, and if you believe that the only humane treatment is catch and release of these folks into American society so they can live and work in America, why not send them to places where they're even more protected, like sanctuary cities? 0.67

00:39:13.000 Shouldn't they be cheering now?

00:39:14.000 It's funny.

00:39:14.000 There's some people on the right saying, well, isn't this going to make it easier for these people to escape into the system?

00:39:19.000 Trump's point is they're already escaping into the system.

00:39:22.000 They already are.

00:39:23.000 And the people who are feeling the brunt of that are not people who approve the system.

00:39:26.000 So, if they're going to escape into the system anyway, if these people are going to be released into the system and never show up again and just overstay their temporary work visas, well then maybe they should live in the areas where Democrats keep saying they want them.

00:39:38.000 And hilariously enough, Democrats are upset about this.

00:39:41.000 Which does demonstrate a peculiar hypocrisy on the part of Democrats.

00:39:47.000 The best element of this over the weekend was Cher. 0.80

00:39:49.000 So Cher, who is a crazy left winger, she tweeted out, I understand helping struggling immigrants, but my city, Los Angeles, isn't taking care of its own.

00:39:58.000 What about the 50,000 plus American citizens who live on the streets, people who live below the poverty line and they're hungry?

00:40:04.000 If my state can't take care of its own, many are vets. 1.00

00:40:07.000 How can it take care of more?

00:40:08.000 Welcome to the dark side, Cher.

00:40:11.000 Welcome to the Republican Party.

00:40:14.000 That's the case that President Trump has been making.

00:40:16.000 I guess that's sheriff or new head of DHS, right?

00:40:20.000 And that's President Trump.

00:40:21.000 That's his entire case.

00:40:23.000 We have a lot of costs in this country.

00:40:25.000 We can't take care of everybody who wants to be on welfare.

00:40:27.000 We can't just bring people in here and put them on food stamps or state programs.

00:40:31.000 So Cher, I guess, is now recognizing, oh wait, there are finite resources.

00:40:35.000 And when you let in an unlimited number of people to take advantage of finite resources, you end up with a shortage.

00:40:39.000 Hilariously enough, it's not only Cher, it's Cory Booker, struggling to maintain relevance in a crowded Democratic field.

00:40:45.000 He was on Face the Nation over the weekend.

00:40:48.000 And he says, it is less safe for us to release illegal immigrants into sanctuary cities.

00:40:52.000 Oh, really?

00:40:54.000 Oh, really, Senator Booker?

00:40:55.000 Do you think this is an empty threat by the president, though, to talk about busing people from the border into these sanctuary cities?

00:41:01.000 He likes to create friction sometimes to jumpstart, he says, a Congress that's not acting.

00:41:05.000 You say friction.

00:41:06.000 I say he's trying to pit Americans against each other and make us less safe, because what you're seeing now... So you take the threat seriously?

00:41:13.000 I take this.

00:41:14.000 He is injecting fear into our country.

00:41:17.000 And so if he was looking to solve a problem, he wouldn't be doing things to divide this country against itself.

00:41:23.000 Beware of anybody that's trying to tell you to be afraid in the strongest country in the world, as opposed to showing our strength and our courage by pulling people together to find common sense solutions to solve this problem.

00:41:34.000 He says it's less safe?

00:41:36.000 Weird.

00:41:37.000 Weird!

00:41:37.000 And he says that it tears us apart to send illegal immigrants to cities where they will be the most welcome?

00:41:42.000 Odd, Cory Booker.

00:41:44.000 Strange!

00:41:46.000 It's amusing to watch as the Democrats basically embrace the Republican premise on this entire argument while at the same time maintaining they won't do anything about it.

00:41:55.000 It's not just on that score, by the way, where Democrats are embracing the Republican premise while not doing anything about it.

00:42:00.000 Bernie Sanders was on the campaign trail over the weekend.

00:42:02.000 And Senator Sanders has been caught up in a bit of an awkward situation.

00:42:06.000 It turns out that he is a millionaire.

00:42:07.000 And as a socialist, this is a not great thing.

00:42:10.000 So Bernie Sanders had to explain that it's not criminal for him to be rich.

00:42:14.000 I didn't know that it was a crime to write a good book.

00:42:17.000 Which turned out to be a bestseller.

00:42:23.000 And my view has always been that we need a progressive PACS system, which demands that the wealthiest people in this country finally start paying their fair share of PACS.

00:42:38.000 If I make a lot of money, you make a lot of money, that is what I believe.

00:42:43.000 So I don't apologize for writing a book that was number three on the New York Times bestseller, translated into five or six languages, and that's that.

00:42:53.000 Oh, well, I don't apologize for writing a book that was number one on the New York Times bestseller list and is being translated into other languages as we speak.

00:43:00.000 I don't apologize for that either.

00:43:01.000 The difference is I like capitalism.

00:43:03.000 I think it's good.

00:43:04.000 Dirty little secret about democratic politics.

00:43:06.000 They all like capitalism, including Bernie Sanders.

00:43:08.000 I know.

00:43:09.000 Uncomfortable facts.

00:43:10.000 But Bernie Sanders actually likes capitalism.

00:43:12.000 He just won't say that publicly.

00:43:14.000 And I would love for somebody to press him.

00:43:16.000 He's holding his first press scrum, by the way, two months after launch.

00:43:19.000 Amazing how the press haven't made a big deal out of that.

00:43:22.000 Speaking of press malfeasance, there is polling out that shows that the American people do not believe that they got a tax cut from President Trump's tax cuts.

00:43:32.000 And yet virtually everyone did.

00:43:33.000 The New York Tax Policy Center estimates that 65% of people paid less under the new tax law, and just 6% of people paid more.

00:43:42.000 I'd be in the 6%, by the way.

00:43:43.000 Other analyses reached similar conclusions.

00:43:45.000 The Joint Committee on Taxation, Congress's nonpartisan team of tax analysts, found that every income group would see a tax cut on average.

00:43:52.000 In a December 2017 analysis from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, it found every income group in every state Why don't people know that?

00:43:59.000 Why don't people?

00:44:00.000 Because you said that they would not.

00:44:01.000 in 2019, and yet the vast majority of people do not understand that they got a tax cut.

00:44:06.000 And now it's hilarious.

00:44:07.000 The media are saying, why don't people know that?

00:44:09.000 Why don't people, because you said that they would not, because you claimed that it was a tax cut that was created to benefit the rich, so you lied.

00:44:17.000 So you lied.

00:44:17.000 That's how you ended up in this situation.

00:44:19.000 Without media lies, Democrats would have almost nothing.

00:44:22.000 Almost nothing.

00:44:23.000 All right.

00:44:23.000 Time for some things I like and then some things that I hate.

00:44:26.000 So, things that I like today.

00:44:28.000 So, you know what?

00:44:29.000 Let's just do that Game of Thrones episode.

00:44:31.000 Let's do a brief breakdown of that Game of Thrones.

00:44:33.000 So, spoilers ahead.

00:44:34.000 Spoilers ahead for those who don't watch Game of Thrones.

00:44:36.000 Fast forward maybe two or three minutes in this and then we'll be back with some things I hate.

00:44:39.000 But, Okay, so Game of Thrones episode.

00:44:43.000 I enjoyed it.

00:44:44.000 I thought it was good.

00:44:45.000 I thought it was slow.

00:44:46.000 I kept thinking, okay, you guys have like, what, eight hours to wrap this whole thing up?

00:44:50.000 And we're gonna waste 20 minutes of this on lingering looks?

00:44:54.000 And just people staring at each other?

00:44:56.000 That's what we're gonna do?

00:44:57.000 Or an army arriving at Winterfell?

00:44:59.000 Yeah, I got it.

00:44:59.000 Like, from the first shot that the army was coming to Winterfell.

00:45:01.000 Sort of got that part.

00:45:03.000 Also, I will say that Bran, whoever plays Bran, that kid, they cast him when he was a kid.

00:45:09.000 And you never know when you cast a kid, whether the kid's gonna turn out to be a good actor, or whether the kid is just gonna turn out to be a stump.

00:45:15.000 And Neon Taster, my Twitter father, tweeted out, and I think this is right, that Bran is basically the Hodor of looking at people.

00:45:22.000 Every time Bran looks at somebody, it's the same look.

00:45:27.000 So he just sort of sits there and acts sour the entire episode.

00:45:29.000 There are a couple of good scenes.

00:45:30.000 The scene where Jon finds out his lineage is pretty great.

00:45:34.000 That was pretty much the only terrific scene.

00:45:37.000 The How to Train Your Dragon sequence with Dany and Jon was a little long, and we all sort of saw it coming.

00:45:45.000 But it's all a setup anyway.

00:45:47.000 Everybody knows that this is a setup for the big battle.

00:45:49.000 So, slightly disappointed, yes.

00:45:51.000 Did it have its moments?

00:45:52.000 Yes.

00:45:53.000 Is Danny going to turn into a mad Targaryen?

00:45:57.000 The odds are good.

00:45:58.000 The odds are good that Danny turns into a mad Targaryen before all of this is said and done.

00:46:02.000 Okay, so there is your brief Game of Thrones update.

00:46:07.000 Nothing actually happens in the episode except that Jon finds out what's going on.

00:46:11.000 Everything else is filler.

00:46:12.000 Cersei drinks and enunciates the letter T very clearly.

00:46:15.000 A lot. 0.95

00:46:17.000 And there are some boobs because we have to point out that this is HBO, and we have to remind people that you're paying subscriptions so you can see boobs. 0.83

00:46:27.000 But other than that... 0.76

00:46:28.000 Not much happened.

00:46:29.000 Is that a fair summation, guys?

00:46:30.000 I feel like it's a pretty fair summation of the episode.

00:46:32.000 Okay, so.

00:46:33.000 Alright, other things that I like.

00:46:34.000 Still, did I enjoy it?

00:46:35.000 Yeah, I mean, I like that Game of Thrones is back.

00:46:37.000 Alright, other things that I like.

00:46:39.000 So, it's just an amazing sports story.

00:46:41.000 Tiger Woods won the Masters.

00:46:43.000 The last time he won the Masters was a solid decade ago.

00:46:47.000 And there's this great video of him hugging his son after winning the Masters.

00:46:51.000 Now, Tiger, obviously, was at the top of the sporting world.

00:46:55.000 It's rare to see somebody humbled the way that Tiger Woods was, right?

00:46:58.000 It came out that he was schtipping every porn star in a 57-mile radius, and then it broke up his marriage.

00:47:03.000 It was really quite terrible for him and for his family, obviously, that he was doing all of those things.

00:47:07.000 And then he got injured, and he was off the scene for a solid decade, and he comes back in his mid-40s to win the Masters.

00:47:14.000 Pretty amazing story.

00:47:14.000 Here's a video of him hugging his son.

00:47:16.000 It's pretty cool.

00:47:19.000 Little Charlie.

00:47:21.000 Was it even born when his father won?

00:47:26.000 So, pretty cool stuff.

00:47:28.000 So I guess it was 2008.

00:47:30.000 Pretty neat stuff from Tiger Woods, and it's a great redemption story.

00:47:35.000 So there's this great, from his first Masters win, there's this great video of him hugging his dad, wearing nearly an identical shirt, and then you fast forward 15 years, and now he's hugging his son.

00:47:46.000 Pretty cool stuff.

00:47:47.000 Okay, time for some things that I hate.

00:47:53.000 So first thing that I hate, there is a professor named Alexander McNabb at Barnard College and he wanted to enter a room, he wanted to enter a room that required, a building, that required after 11 p.m., that required him to show ID.

00:48:09.000 He refused to show ID and then he became belligerent with campus officers.

00:48:12.000 He then encouraged activists to spread the video claiming racism and the officers have been placed on leave.

00:48:16.000 Here's a little bit of the video.

00:48:20.000 Show your ID!

00:48:20.000 You're barring off me.

00:48:22.000 I did not touch anybody.

00:48:24.000 I didn't violate anybody.

00:48:25.000 Why are your hands on me?

00:48:26.000 We're gonna walk out.

00:48:27.000 Take your hands off of me. 1.00

00:48:30.000 Take your hands off of me. 1.00

00:48:32.000 Come on, we're gonna walk out.

00:48:33.000 Why are you touching me?

00:48:34.000 Take your hands off of me. 1.00

00:48:36.000 Let's walk outside.

00:48:37.000 Let me show you my ID.

00:48:37.000 You wanna see my ID?

00:48:39.000 I'm a Columbia University student.

00:48:40.000 You see this?

00:48:42.000 That's me.

00:48:42.000 This is the third time, barring from the stage, you just chased me down.

00:48:45.000 Walk outside.

00:48:46.000 And you put your hands on me.

00:48:47.000 I didn't touch any of you.

00:48:48.000 Walk outside.

00:48:48.000 You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

00:48:49.000 Okay, so, they showed the video, and in the video, he starts showing them his ID after making a big scene.

00:48:55.000 So he's a student, not a professor, sorry.

00:48:56.000 And here is the way that this was covered by the Washington Post.

00:48:59.000 Alexander McNabb was hungry.

00:49:01.000 It was 11.30 p.m.

00:49:02.000 on Thursday, and the Columbia University senior had just left his late-night Afro Beats dance practice.

00:49:07.000 He had work to do, and his anthropology thesis was looming, so the 23-year-old pulled out his phone to check a Facebook page where students can post and find the most universally reliable staple on American college campuses.

00:49:17.000 Free food.

00:49:18.000 Other students had just deposited party leftovers in the nearby Barnard College Library, where Columbia students are welcome to study.

00:49:23.000 McNabb had it that way.

00:49:25.000 By the end of the night, he would find himself the latest subject of another viral video, the kind that receives, that revives, the tense conversation communities are having nationwide about police use of force, racial profiling, and the risks that come with being a person of color in the United States.

00:49:38.000 Okay, that's a lie.

00:49:39.000 Basically what happened here, according to Andy Ngo, is that this guy walked into the library, refused to show ID.

00:49:46.000 You can see, by the way, that one of the officers there is black.

00:49:50.000 He refused to show ID.

00:49:52.000 And then, after refusing to show ID and screaming at the officers, he was accosted by the officers.

00:49:56.000 And then he, and then he refused to go along with them.

00:50:00.000 And then he encouraged people to show the video around as though he'd been victimized in some sort of racial crime at Barnard College.

00:50:05.000 This prompted all of these protesters to show up and scream, no justice, no peace. 0.98

00:50:11.000 F these racist police. 0.97

00:50:13.000 Pretty, pretty amazing stuff.

00:50:15.000 And then the deans of Columbia released a groveling statement saying that the belligerent student was a victim of racism and encouraging the student body to engage in social justice programs.

00:50:23.000 The investigation still is not complete.

00:50:27.000 It's a setup video, pretty obviously, and yet it is treated as though it is real by the mainstream media because they have to have incidents that they can claim are indicative of broader American racism, even if those incidents seem to be fabricated from the outset.

00:50:39.000 So, solid stuff there.

00:50:40.000 Alrighty, well we will be back here a little bit later today with two hours more of content.

00:50:44.000 We will see you then.
