The Ben Shapiro Show - The Kamala Propaganda Machine UNLEASHED

00:00:00.000 So this is a brand new race. 1.00

00:00:02.000 I've been saying this since Joe Biden got out and Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee by widespread acclimation and or a conspiracy among the elites in the Democratic Party to shove her in there because they basically had no other choice.

00:00:15.000 The bottom line is this.

00:00:16.000 The race has now reverted back to where it was basically before the debate.

00:00:20.000 So before the debate, Donald Trump did have a solid but slim lead over Joe Biden in a wide variety of states and nationally.

00:00:27.000 And now it seems as though the race is reverting back to those fundamentals.

00:00:31.000 We already had the outstanding circumstance of Joe Biden effectively enduring a mental collapse in front of the entire American public and making clear to everyone that he was effectively senile.

00:00:42.000 But that is now in the rearview mirror, and now we have Kamala Harris.

00:00:46.000 And so, looking at the polls, what we see, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average, is that Donald Trump is currently leading Kamala Harris by about 1.9 percentage points in the popular vote.

00:00:58.000 That includes a new poll from New York Times' Sienna, which is a one-point race in favor of Donald Trump.

00:01:03.000 Again, there is a margin of error that is effectively one or two points there.

00:01:07.000 Rasmussen, which is usually fairly pro-Trump, has Trump up seven.

00:01:10.000 CNN has Trump up three against Kamala Harris, 49 to 46.

00:01:14.000 Morning Consult has Harris up one.

00:01:16.000 Reuters-Ipsos has Harris up two.

00:01:18.000 The majority of polls show Trump up, but not up huge.

00:01:22.000 In the battleground states, the latest polling data shows Donald Trump still with a relatively durable lead in the battleground states.

00:01:31.000 A new set of Emerson polls shows that Harris trails Donald Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and that they are tied in Wisconsin.

00:01:39.000 But those margins are way down for Donald Trump from where they were, say, a week ago against Joe Biden.

00:01:44.000 Right now, he is up five points in Arizona, He is up only two points in Georgia.

00:01:50.000 He is up just one point in Michigan, just two points in Pennsylvania, and he is tied in Wisconsin.

00:01:55.000 In other words, much too close for comfort.

00:01:57.000 This is a very, very close election.

00:02:00.000 Nate Silver, poll analyst, he says, our national polling average today would have had Trump plus 1.3 against Harris, but it's been fluctuating rapidly.

00:02:08.000 She was down more like two to three points post-debate, pre-RNC, more like four points immediately post-RNC, pre-Biden announcement.

00:02:16.000 Says, to be more precise, our current numbers are Trump 44.8, Harris 43.5, Kennedy 4.9.

00:02:22.000 That compares to Trump 45.2, Biden 41.2, Kennedy 8.

00:02:27.000 Some further evidence here, she has less of a third-party problem than Biden.

00:02:31.000 What you are starting to see is that Democrats are coming home, but not in the kind of numbers they would for, say, Barack Obama, more in the kind of numbers they would have for Joe Biden if Joe Biden had been completely mentally gone.

00:02:42.000 Well, this means that Kamala Harris's campaign has now launched into full swing.

00:02:46.000 And that means she has to do two things.

00:02:48.000 One, avoid her record.

00:02:49.000 And two, she has to just massage the media and the media has to massage her right back. 1.00

00:02:55.000 It's basically a really bad between Kamala Harris and the media. 0.96

00:02:59.000 The love affair between the Democratic Party and the media is back in full bloom for just a little while there.

00:03:05.000 There was a little bit of tension, but now that tension has been resolved in a sweet embrace.

00:03:11.000 And that is what we are seeing from the media.

00:03:13.000 So Kamala Harris has now put out her very first ad.

00:03:16.000 Her first ad, you knew it was coming, features the music of Beyonce.

00:03:21.000 More gay pride flags than American flags. 0.84

00:03:24.000 And a lot of talk about freedom.

00:03:25.000 Now, that's a weird word coming from Kamala Harris, as we will see, because it turns out she is not very much in favor of freedom. 0.95

00:03:31.000 By freedom, she basically means abortion and your taxpayer money going to things she wants. 0.97

00:03:36.000 She does not mean typically what people mean by freedom, which is being left alone by the federal government.

00:03:41.000 She means something very different.

00:03:42.000 But this is a very gauzy ad, again, with the Beyonce music.

00:03:48.000 Very slickly cut, filled with meaningless slogans that presumably make the vapid in the media feel really good about themselves.

00:03:55.000 Here we go.

00:03:58.000 In this election, we each face a question.

00:04:01.000 What kind of country do we want to live in?

00:04:06.000 There are some people who think we should be a country of chaos, of fear, of hate.

00:04:13.000 But us?

00:04:14.000 We choose something different.

00:04:18.000 We choose Kamala?

00:04:19.000 Are you kidding me?

00:04:19.000 We choose freedom.

00:04:21.000 People are laughing, they're smiling, because in Kamala Harris' America, there's so much laughter and smiling, many Pride Progress flags as well.

00:04:35.000 The freedom to be safe from gun violence.

00:04:38.000 The freedom to make decisions about your own body.

00:04:41.000 We choose a future where no child lives in poverty.

00:04:44.000 Really?

00:04:45.000 No one has poverty anymore?

00:04:47.000 Wow.

00:04:47.000 And there's lots of abortion.

00:04:49.000 and also where she'll put Donald Trump in jail. 1.00

00:04:51.000 ...of America and we're ready to fight for it.

00:04:54.000 Because when we fight, we win.

00:04:57.000 So join us.

00:04:59.000 Go to kamalaharris.com and let's get to work.

00:05:02.000 Okay, again, a very well produced slick ad.

00:05:05.000 Does it have anything to do with Kamala Harris?

00:05:07.000 Did you learn anything about Kamala Harris in that ad?

00:05:09.000 You learned nothing about Kamala Harris.

00:05:10.000 Because the minute you learn something about Kamala Harris, you don't like her very much.

00:05:14.000 I know they're trying to present her as a fresh face on the national scene.

00:05:16.000 She already went through a very well-covered primary campaign.

00:05:22.000 For the Democratic presidential nomination against Joe Biden, she got skunked by an empty gourd that was Joe Biden's skull.

00:05:30.000 It's amazing.

00:05:31.000 Now, the reality is that Kamala Harris, if you just watch that campaign ad, what you would think is that she's kind of a libertarian who's hard on crime. 1.00

00:05:38.000 Right?

00:05:38.000 That's what you would get from that.

00:05:39.000 A libertarian who's pretty hard on crime.

00:05:41.000 Yeah, I was socially liberal, but not fiscally irresponsible.

00:05:46.000 And she doesn't want you victimized by gun violence or by the criminality of one Donald J. Trump.

00:05:52.000 The biggest problem, however, is that Kamala Harris is unbelievably radical. 1.00

00:05:58.000 Her inner circle is filled with people who have been by her side throughout her relatively unsuccessful political career.

00:06:03.000 And I say relatively unsuccessful because, again, she has won one major national election, and that was to send it in California against a candidate who was a fellow Democrat.

00:06:13.000 So we'll have to see how this whole thing plays out.

00:06:15.000 Kamala is a very, very radical candidate. 0.96

00:06:18.000 She's pretending to be moderate.

00:07:22.000 Who are the people who are running her campaign apparently?

00:07:25.000 Harris's family members have been her closest advisors.

00:07:28.000 Harris's only sibling, her younger sister, Maya Harris, was chairwoman of her campaign for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, which was seen as totally dysfunctional.

00:07:36.000 So good luck with that.

00:07:37.000 Her brother-in-law, Tony West, was previously an associate attorney general during the Obama administration, and he's been traveling around with her.

00:07:44.000 She also has a close relationship with her niece, Mina Harris, a lawyer and author.

00:07:49.000 Since their marriage in 2014, Doug Emhoff has been her biggest public supporter.

00:07:54.000 We won't talk about Doug Emhoff's insane, radical Antifa daughter.

00:07:57.000 We won't talk about that.

00:07:59.000 Then there are her current and former aides.

00:08:01.000 There's Rohini Kosoglu, who began working for Harris when she was in the Senate and has remained one of her closest advisors.

00:08:06.000 This is according to the Wall Street Journal.

00:08:08.000 Then there's Josh Sue, who has served as Harris' chief legal advisor, worked on the transition team as national policy director for the 2020 campaign, and deputy chief of staff when Harris was in the Senate.

00:08:19.000 So she's putting together her whole band, her whole 2020 band.

00:08:22.000 The problem is that that was a wildly unsuccessful band.

00:08:25.000 I mean, that is a bad team.

00:08:27.000 It is a very, very not good team.

00:08:28.000 So, we'll have to see how her campaign runs. 0.98

00:08:31.000 What we know, more than anything else, is that if the cameras are on Kamala Harris for more than 37 seconds, and if the media aren't allowed to lie about her, it will come out just how radical she is.

00:08:41.000 Because when she is unleashed, Kamala Harris is one of the most charmless, radical politicians in American history. 1.00

00:08:47.000 Certainly, running for president.

00:08:50.000 For example, Kamala Harris suggests that she really is just about freedom, about the American dream and freedom.

00:08:57.000 But what she really thinks is more akin to Karl Marx.

00:09:00.000 Here is a mashup of Kamala Harris talking many, many times about her actual goal in politics, which is not opportunity for everyone.

00:09:07.000 It is instead equal outcome for everyone, which is just communism.

00:09:12.000 It has to be about a goal of saying everybody should end up in the same place.

00:09:16.000 And since we didn't start in the same place, some folks might need more.

00:09:19.000 Giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place.

00:09:28.000 So there's a big difference between equality and equity.

00:09:31.000 Equality suggests often everybody should get the same thing.

00:09:38.000 Well, that often assumes everybody started out in the same place, as opposed to equity, which is everyone should end up in the same place.

00:09:46.000 People in our country are having an experience that is not equal.

00:09:54.000 Well, I mean, it sounds as though she actually wants equal outcome because she keeps saying it over and over.

00:09:59.000 The only way to do that is with massive government interventionism with subsidies by group.

00:10:04.000 So does that sound particularly moderate to you?

00:10:07.000 Also, Kamala launched her campaign with an appearance on the greatest American program of all time, the kind of program that wins you blue-collar voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

00:17:39.000 And Kamala Harris met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after ditching his speech.

00:17:43.000 They gave a speech in the Senate day before yesterday, quite a good speech, very bipartisan, reached out to the Biden administration, reached out to Democrats and all the rest.

00:17:52.000 Half the Democrats boycotted it, including Kamala Harris, who was too busy going to some sort of sorority event in Indianapolis or something. 1.00

00:17:59.000 Then she showed up to do a meeting with Netanyahu, specifically so that she could then go out into a press conference in which she ripped Israel. 1.00

00:18:06.000 So, on the one hand, she doesn't like that Palestinian protesters are humiliating her publicly by saying the obvious part out loud, which is they don't just hate Israel, they hate the United States. 0.84

00:18:15.000 That's embarrassing to her.

00:18:16.000 On the other hand, she really kind of agrees with them.

00:18:19.000 She really kind of does.

00:18:20.000 So here was Kamal Harris saying she will not be silent on the situation in the Gaza Strip.

00:18:25.000 Okay, here's the thing.

00:18:26.000 The situation in the Gaza Strip has been created wholly and entirely by Hamas.

00:18:31.000 It continues to be created by Hamas. 0.94

00:18:34.000 Netanyahu spoke in Congress about how he would like to cut some sort of deal with UAE, with Bahrain, with Saudi Arabia.

00:18:42.000 In order to create some sort of workable arrangement in the Gaza Strip. 0.57

00:18:45.000 Hamas won't allow any of that because Hamas is too busy shitting everyone.

00:18:48.000 But Kamala Harris knows exactly who to blame. 1.00

00:18:50.000 And the people who have to be blamed are the Israelis, of course.

00:18:53.000 Of course, of course.

00:18:54.000 Here she was saying, I will not be silent.

00:18:55.000 She will not be silent.

00:18:56.000 I mean, honestly, she's such she's so tired.

00:18:59.000 This is also tired.

00:19:01.000 She's now quoting lyrics from like the live action version of Aladdin.

00:19:04.000 That's that's Kamala Harris now. 1.00

00:19:07.000 What has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating.

00:19:12.000 The images of dead children and desperate, hungry people fleeing for safety, sometimes displaced for the second, third, or fourth time.

00:19:25.000 We cannot look away in the face of these tragedies.

00:19:28.000 We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering.

00:19:33.000 And I will not be silent.

00:19:35.000 No, she will not be silenced.

00:19:36.000 No one's trying to silence you, lady.

00:19:38.000 Keep talking.

00:19:39.000 Seriously, see how it goes for you.

00:19:41.000 No one's trying to silence you.

00:19:43.000 All we're saying is, maybe at one point you might want to say who's to blame.

00:19:46.000 Hamas, you might want to say that at some point. 0.99

00:19:49.000 But she won't say that.

00:19:49.000 Instead, she is right back into the soup of moral equivalence.

00:19:53.000 Kamala Harris and foreign policy, a terrible combination. 1.00

00:19:55.000 But you know what is a good combination?

00:19:57.000 Rosebarks.

00:19:58.000 This dual-action prescription merges the powerhouse ingredients found in generic Viagra and Cialis, Sildenafil, and Tadalafil into one formidable treatment.

00:20:05.000 But it's not merely about the ingredients in the medication, it's how you're taking it.

00:20:08.000 That's why RoSparks are designed to dissolve under your tongue.

00:20:11.000 That's huge because dissolvable treatment hits your bloodstream faster than old-school pills.

00:20:14.000 The result?

00:20:15.000 Quicker onset of action, reducing the wait time typically associated with traditional pills.

00:20:18.000 Plus, Tadalafil, the active ingredient in Cialis, lasts in the system for up to 36 hours.

00:20:23.000 For treatment that works fast and lasts long, connect with a provider at ro.co slash ben to find out if RoSparks are right for you.

00:20:49.000 Again, that is R-O-dot-C-O-slash-Ben to get started.

00:20:53.000 She says the war in Gaza isn't a binary issue.

00:20:56.000 Now, I have rarely seen a binary issue quite like the war in Gaza.

00:21:00.000 It is the most binary foreign policy issue of our lifetime.

00:21:03.000 Incredibly binary. 0.92

00:21:05.000 You had a full-scale terrorist group occupying an area that Israel abandoned in 2005.

00:21:10.000 They walked into Israel.

00:21:12.000 They took 1,200 people.

00:21:12.000 They took 250 hostages.

00:21:13.000 They are currently holding babies.

00:21:16.000 People who are trying to get humanitarian aid in.

00:21:18.000 They kill all of their potential political rivals in the Gaza Strip. 0.68

00:21:22.000 They murder anyone who dissents.

00:21:24.000 They literally place weaponry in civilian areas.

00:21:27.000 But for her, you know, it's not a binary issue.

00:21:29.000 It's got complexities, man.

00:21:30.000 So many complexities, says Kamala Harris.

00:21:33.000 This is why I don't believe her.

00:21:34.000 I don't believe her.

00:21:35.000 When she says that she's, you know, these people who are burning the flags.

00:21:38.000 She's just embarrassed that they burned the flag, but she is very much in their corner.

00:21:43.000 Here is Kamala Harris doing this routine. 1.00

00:21:45.000 And I will close with this then.

00:21:48.000 It is important for the American people to remember, the war in Gaza is not a binary issue.

00:21:55.000 However, too often the conversation is binary, when the reality is anything but.

00:22:02.000 So I ask my fellow Americans to help encourage efforts to acknowledge the complexity, the nuance, and the history of the region.

00:22:13.000 Let us all condemn terrorism and violence.

00:22:17.000 Let us all do what we can to prevent the suffering of innocent civilians.

00:22:23.000 And let us condemn anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and hate of any kind. 0.99

00:22:30.000 What a pathetic moral relativist she is. 1.00

00:22:32.000 Truly a pathetic moral relativist. 1.00

00:22:34.000 There's so many nuances. 0.98

00:22:37.000 80% of Palestinians support October 7th.

00:22:40.000 If an election were held in the Gaza Strip today, Hamas would win. 0.98

00:22:43.000 If an election were held, by the way, in the West Bank, Hamas would win. 0.99

00:22:45.000 By the way, if an election were held in Jordan today, Hamas would likely win. 0.98

00:22:50.000 It isn't a binary issue, though.

00:22:51.000 Don't worry, she's not radical.

00:22:52.000 She's a moderate.

00:22:53.000 She's a moderate.

00:22:54.000 She went out of her way also to slam Israel for what she called food insecurity. 1.00

00:22:57.000 She can't say starvation because mass starvation has not occurred in the Gaza Strip, despite all of the lies from the pseudo-international organizations, which are really just fronts for Hamas and its allies.

00:23:07.000 So instead, she's going to do food insecurity. 1.00

00:23:09.000 The reality is that Israel has shipped in 2,000 to 3,000 calories per day, per person, into the Gaza Strip for the last several months in the middle of a war zone, something unprecedented in all of human history.

00:23:20.000 But here she is finding a way to rip Israel. 1.00

00:23:21.000 But yeah, we're supposed to believe her when she says that she's upset that people were tagging about Hamas on statues of Christopher Columbus.

00:23:28.000 Sure, sure.

00:23:30.000 My serious concern about the scale of human suffering in Gaza, including the death of far too many innocent civilians.

00:23:41.000 And I made clear my serious concern about the dire humanitarian situation there, with over 2 million people facing high levels of food insecurity.

00:23:53.000 And half a million people facing catastrophic levels of acute food insecurity.

00:24:00.000 I mean, she's Bernie Sanders.

00:24:01.000 She's just Bernie Sanders.

00:24:03.000 And any attempt to try and craft her into a magical middle-of-the-road Democrat is destined to fail if, if people can honestly see her. 1.00

00:24:11.000 And so it is the job of the media to ensure that the people do not honestly see her.

00:24:15.000 That is the most important thing the media can do for her right now.

00:24:19.000 So, what's happening in the land of media?

00:24:21.000 Well, first of all, TikTok, which is, of course, a Chinese algorithm that is very much having an impact on the future of this elective cycle.

00:24:28.000 TikTok is all out for common law, which should tell you something about what China wants in this election.

00:24:32.000 TikTok, again, a Chinese algorithm.

00:24:34.000 According to the Washington Post, inside the online army supercharging Kamala Harris' campaign, a grassroots network of TikTok creators energized by the new likely Democratic nominee are using their skill at playful video collages to build Harris a viral political powerhouse from scratch.

00:24:48.000 Or alternatively, TikTok is a virality algorithm that is programmed by the Chinese Communist Party. 0.80

00:24:54.000 So maybe it's that.

00:24:55.000 You can put as much pro-Trump content as you want on TikTok.

00:24:58.000 And I promise you, if the CCP decides they don't want it disseminated, it won't be disseminated.

00:25:03.000 We have an entire article in the Washington Post about the magic, the magic of Kamala Harris via TikTok.

00:25:09.000 Meanwhile, remember that time that Kamala Harris was the borders are?

00:25:13.000 Not my words, the words of the media.

00:25:15.000 Remember that time that Joe Biden put her in charge of immigration policy with respect to the Northern Triangle?

00:25:21.000 She was supposed to solve the root causes of migration, like gang violence and trafficking and cartels, he said, said the president of the United States when he appointed her to this, but also natural disasters, hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes.

00:25:33.000 Now, you can make the case that she was never given any real power.

00:25:36.000 That case is plausible given the fact that, again, no one trusts her with power because she's terrible at her job. 1.00

00:25:42.000 Joe Biden did not trust her with power because she's bad.

00:25:44.000 She's a bad candidate and she was a bad vice president. 1.00

00:25:46.000 But she was, in fact, called the Borders Are by pretty much everybody until precisely the moment it became inconvenient to mention that she was the Borders Are.

00:25:53.000 So you remember that time that everyone called Kamala Harris the Borders Are and then you weren't allowed to do that anymore because now she's running Well, the media love to lie to you.

00:26:03.000 But you need to wake up to the truth.

00:27:03.000 So Newsbusters put out an unbelievable montage of members of the media talking about Kamala Harris as borders are before Biden dropped out.

00:27:14.000 And then Kamala Harris as borders are after Biden dropped out.

00:27:18.000 So the minute she became the nominee, suddenly she was no longer the borders are ever.

00:27:21.000 It was wiped away, lost in the sands of time.

00:27:24.000 It never happened.

00:27:25.000 Poof! 0.99

00:27:26.000 East Asia, we were always at war with East Asia. 0.84

00:27:29.000 And here's the montage.

00:27:30.000 It's amazing.

00:27:33.000 Vice President Harris was not a border czar.

00:27:36.000 Meantime, Vice President and border czar Kamala Harris facing some backlash. 0.95

00:27:40.000 What he said about Harris and immigration was not true.

00:27:43.000 She was never appointed border czar.

00:27:45.000 And this will be her first visit to the US-Mexico border regions since she was appointed as the border czar by President Biden.

00:27:52.000 People are going to have to counter the misinformation.

00:27:53.000 You already hear folks talking about the Border Czar.

00:27:55.000 She wasn't the Border Czar.

00:27:56.000 President Biden tapped Kamala Harris, Vice President Kamala Harris, to be the Border Czar.

00:28:01.000 Now she wasn't the Border Czar. 0.97

00:28:03.000 That's what Republicans labeled her. 0.99

00:28:05.000 They were very critical of Kamala Harris, especially in her role as Border Czar.

00:28:11.000 Now what she's up against is folks lying about her border record, calling her a Border Czar. 0.82

00:28:15.000 Kamala Harris, who was appointed as the border czar.

00:28:18.000 The Biden team didn't declare her the border czar.

00:28:19.000 They wanted her to work on kind of the root causes of immigration. 0.96

00:28:23.000 So again, that's the game the media are playing.

00:28:26.000 So basically, we're all crazy. 0.99

00:28:27.000 They're making us all crazy because they're liars. 1.00

00:28:29.000 They're unbelievable, unstoppable liars. 0.98

00:28:33.000 Now, for their part, Republicans in Congress have now passed a resolution condemning Kamala Harris's failure as border czar. 0.81

00:28:39.000 The resolution was introduced by Representative Elise Stefanik.

00:28:42.000 It condemns Harris's, quote, failure, as borders are.

00:28:46.000 They received support from all Republicans, plus six of the Democrats.

00:28:50.000 Those six Democrats are largely in Border District or in Purple District.

00:28:57.000 According to House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, quote,

00:29:00.000 Vice President Kamala Harris is not just a failed Border Czar, she's an extremist on border security 1.00

00:29:04.000 and immigration enforcement. As her record as Senator, presidential candidate and vice president

00:29:08.000 makes abundantly clear. In March 2021, President Biden told the country Vice President Harris was

00:29:12.000 the most qualified person to lead our efforts in stemming the flood of illegal aliens across 1.00

00:29:16.000 our Southwest border. No rational person could look at the years since and conclude anything

00:29:20.000 except that she was utterly unqualified and has completely failed. That of course is supremely

00:29:27.000 But don't worry.

00:29:28.000 According to the media, she was never where the borders are, and it's all in your imagination.

00:29:32.000 It is all just there in your imagination.

00:29:35.000 By the way, if you think the media are driving you crazy about Kamala Harris, I mean, your head has to be spinning with the treatment that they've been giving Joe Biden.

00:29:44.000 So, as we went live about, Joe Biden gave a sort of valedictory address, and it was pretty terrible.

00:29:49.000 I mean, really quite terrible.

00:29:51.000 It was terrible in terms of content.

00:29:52.000 He had to answer two questions.

00:29:53.000 Why did he leave the race and why is he still able to be president?

00:29:56.000 And he didn't answer either of those questions.

00:29:58.000 Instead, he just sort of rambled on about how I feel like it's a pretty good synopsis.

00:30:04.000 and then and Kamala Harris is grand, I'm gonna be president for the next six months and I

00:30:11.000 ain't your guys Bush Campbell's old.

00:30:13.000 I feel like a pretty good synopsis. If you don't believe me, here was Joe Biden trying

00:30:18.000 to talk about the winter of peril that occurred in 2021 and instead talking about the sale

00:30:25.000 on winter apparel at Burlington Coat Factory.

00:30:28.000 We've come so far since my inauguration.

00:30:33.000 On that day, I told you as I stood in that winter, we're stood in a winter of peril and winter of possibilities.

00:30:43.000 So, uh, jacket's half off.

00:30:47.000 Winter coat's half off.

00:30:49.000 Winter apparel.

00:30:49.000 So, it was pretty bad, as everyone knows.

00:30:52.000 But that's not how the media covered it.

00:30:54.000 According to the Washington Post's report, quote, Are you kidding?

00:30:57.000 There was a lot of bitterness.

00:30:57.000 speech amounts to a wistful first farewell.

00:31:01.000 It had the feeling of a fond farewell, says the Washington Post.

00:31:04.000 There wasn't a heavy dose of bitterness.

00:31:05.000 There was more than a hint of pride.

00:31:07.000 Are you kidding?

00:31:07.000 There's a lot of bitterness.

00:31:08.000 He literally said that he was forced out by his own party.

00:31:11.000 He said it became clear that he had to drop out for the unity of the party.

00:31:16.000 Not because he's a senile old man who can't hold it together anymore.

00:31:20.000 But according to the Washington Post, the man who has probably given more eulogies than any other U.S.

00:31:24.000 politician had a significant amount of wistfulness tucked inside his Oval Office address.

00:31:28.000 A bit like he is starting to reconcile with the idea that he is soon exiting political life, something that has guided him for more than five decades.

00:31:34.000 The man who entered political life as one of the youngest U.S.

00:31:36.000 senators in history is coming to terms with leaving as the nation's oldest president in history.

00:31:42.000 The whole point of the address was to explain to the nation his decision to abandon his run for re-election and endorse Vice President Harris as his successor.

00:31:49.000 In a way, he didn't really accomplish that.

00:31:50.000 There wasn't a heavy dose of introspection in the speech.

00:31:53.000 He didn't acknowledge the bitterness felt over those he considered friends, stating publicly it was time for him to go.

00:31:57.000 Instead, it was the first of what will be many farewells, and also the first attempt to claim credit for what he hopes will cement his legacy.

00:32:03.000 Oh, the magic.

00:32:04.000 Oh, the incredible, incredible magic.

00:32:07.000 Meanwhile, CBS campaign correspondent Robert Costa tweeted out a powerful photo.

00:32:12.000 What was this powerful photo?

00:32:14.000 It was a photo right after the address.

00:32:16.000 Of Joe and Hunter Biden, Robert Costa described, quote, a powerful photo,

00:32:20.000 the hands toward his father's face, the eyes, put aside politics and everything related for a moment,

00:32:25.000 and viewed simply at a human level, you see two men, father and son,

00:32:28.000 still at each other's side, more than a half century since the darkness

00:32:31.000 of December 18th, 1972.

00:32:34.000 That date, of course, is the date on which Hunter's mom and Joe Biden's first wife was killed in a car crash.

00:32:39.000 Okay, what I actually see here is Hunter Biden, a lifelong dilettante, crack addicted, terrible,

00:32:46.000 awful human being who has enriched his father and been enriched by his association with his father 0.98

00:32:51.000 and a terrible corrupt old man who has spent five decades using his public position in order to enrich his family 0.99

00:32:56.000 and make the country worse. 0.82

00:32:58.000 That's what I see in that photo.

00:32:59.000 But again, we are now, it's amazing.

00:33:01.000 They switch from, Joe Biden has to go, he's terrible, I can't believe he's not going, what a narcissist, to, he is a patriotic and magical old man.

00:33:08.000 He is just incredible.

00:33:10.000 Kamala Harris did the same routine. 0.84

00:33:11.000 She said last night Joe Biden showed what leadership looks like.

00:33:14.000 Apparently, leadership amounts to being really crappy at presidenting and then leaving.

00:33:20.000 So last night, our president addressed the nation and he showed once again what true leadership looks like.

00:33:28.000 His words were poignant.

00:33:31.000 You know, I'll speak in a moment about the importance of reminding people of history, teaching America's true history.

00:33:39.000 He thinks and talks about his work and our country, understanding what it means in terms of what we do now and how that will impact the future.

00:33:51.000 He thinks about our history in the context of the importance of the work we do now.

00:33:57.000 Oh, the history and the context of the important work we do now.

00:34:00.000 Oh, so much context.

00:34:01.000 Oh my God, we're getting more of these sentences.

00:34:03.000 They're going to come.

00:34:03.000 Don't worry.

00:34:04.000 They'll happen.

00:34:05.000 We'll get to the media's soft treatment of Joe Biden the minute he does what they want.

00:34:08.000 First, after more than two years, Delaware Backstage Live is making its return to the legendary Ryman Auditorium.

00:34:14.000 August 14th, join us live in our hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

00:34:18.000 One night, one iconic stage, one incredible opportunity to witness Daily Wire history in the making.

00:34:22.000 I'll be there along with Matt Walsh, Michael Molls, Andrew Klaven, Jeremy Boring, and a whole lineup of surprise guests.

00:34:27.000 Trust me, you're not going to want to miss it.

00:34:28.000 Now, here's the catch.

00:34:29.000 The Ryman?

00:34:31.000 It's not a huge place.

00:34:32.000 It only holds about 2,000 people.

00:34:33.000 This will sell out almost immediately.

00:34:35.000 It's been two years since our last Backstage Live at the Ryman.

00:34:37.000 Who knows when we'll do it again?

00:34:38.000 Head on over to dailywire.com slash Ryman and grab your tickets right now.

00:34:42.000 Also, this Sunday, we release a brand new episode of Sunday Special with Victor Davis Hanson.

00:34:47.000 He's a distinguished military historian and prolific commentator on contemporary geopolitics.

00:34:51.000 We discuss the reverberations of the war in the Middle East, the merits of federalism, and the consequences of a possible Donald Trump victory.

00:34:56.000 Here's a little bit of the trailer.

00:34:59.000 It's one of the wrinkles of history that this guy who was a billionaire who can be very crude and callous has a natural affinity for working people.

00:35:09.000 And he's blunt and they admire his authenticity and he's genuine and he can be crude.

00:35:15.000 If Donald Trump were to win 21, 22% of the black vote and close the border and go back to an energy first paradigm and then use the DOJ to stop the cartels and interstate coordination of all this crime and restore deterrence, I think he could heal the country very quickly. 0.81

00:35:37.000 I really do.

00:35:38.000 by success.

00:36:06.000 It is the thing that makes Tinkerbell's fairy dust allow them to fly.

00:36:09.000 It's their happy thought.

00:36:11.000 And so the entire media are back to doing what they typically do.

00:36:14.000 Here was CNN, for example, melting down over the fact that there were many Republicans last night who were speculating over the fact that Joe Biden was obviously failing in his little farewell address.

00:36:27.000 Tell me how you know he's manifestly incapable.

00:36:30.000 Oh, I'm sorry to say that this is a sensitive matter where there are a lot of folks who have been talking about this for some time.

00:36:36.000 Oh yes, I've heard them too.

00:36:37.000 My doctor tells me he thinks he might have something, but he also says, but he's not my patient.

00:36:41.000 And look, the deeper problem, the deeper question is, who is actually in charge at any given time?

00:36:46.000 You know, this notion that he's only sharp for six hours of the day?

00:36:49.000 Right.

00:36:50.000 This is an incredibly volatile moment in part because of his failures.

00:36:54.000 No, everything you're saying, I'm sorry, is speculation.

00:36:57.000 Let me tell you what is not speculation.

00:36:59.000 It's not speculation.

00:37:01.000 No, it is speculation because actually, unlike you, I've actually seen the guy at 9 o'clock at night.

00:37:08.000 We all saw the guy.

00:37:09.000 I love that from Ana Navarro.

00:37:10.000 Unlike you, I've seen the guy.

00:37:11.000 We all saw the guy.

00:37:12.000 He's the President of the United States.

00:37:13.000 We've seen it.

00:37:14.000 In fact, if you weren't seeing him, if you weren't falling apart, he would still be in the race. 0.91

00:37:18.000 That is perfectly obvious.

00:37:20.000 But again, the media have to somehow spin him into a statesman now.

00:37:23.000 This is like their big thing.

00:37:24.000 So here's Mike Barnicle on MSNBC making the case that, you know, he was just so generous

00:37:29.000 in his speech the other night.

00:37:30.000 There are no bitterness, no resentment.

00:37:31.000 Are you kidding me?

00:37:32.000 That is a resentful old dude.

00:37:34.000 Everyone knows it.

00:37:35.000 Come on.

00:37:36.000 Nowhere else on earth could a kid with a stutter from Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Claymont,

00:37:44.000 where from modest beginnings sit behind the resolute desk as president of the United States.

00:37:52.000 And yet, here I am.

00:37:55.000 That was Joseph R. Biden last night, the President of the United States.

00:38:01.000 There was no bitterness, no resentment, no self-pity in his voice or in his presentation.

00:38:12.000 These people, these people.

00:38:13.000 Joe Scarborough, who has flipped more times than Simone Biles dismounting the horse.

00:38:19.000 I mean, it really is amazing.

00:38:21.000 He went from, Joe Biden is so with it, he's the most with it he's ever been, he's so with it, he's so with it.

00:38:26.000 Then he went to, man, he really is not with it.

00:38:28.000 That's really terrible.

00:38:29.000 He seems really not with it.

00:38:30.000 And now he's back to, he is a patriot and a scholar?

00:38:34.000 My God, he's humble.

00:38:35.000 I love that man.

00:38:38.000 And then he talks about how We aren't a nation of kings or dictators.

00:38:45.000 The power is in Americans' hands. 0.97

00:38:49.000 Not some powerful, strong man saying, I alone can fix it.

00:38:53.000 Not some powerful, strong man saying, agree with me or I'll try you for treason.

00:38:59.000 But to be humble in service.

00:39:02.000 That sort of servant leadership that Jesus talked about.

00:39:07.000 And again, to project that out As you're giving what, in effect, is your farewell speech to this campaign and country, I think is a wonderful example for politicians of all parties.

00:39:24.000 He is.

00:39:24.000 He is a servant leader, just like Jesus talked about.

00:39:26.000 If Jesus loved same-sex marriage, transing the kids and abortion. 1.00

00:39:30.000 He would be just like, also if Jesus were like a super corrupt old man who made sure his entire family was paid off so they can continue smoking crack off hooker's asses. 1.00

00:39:37.000 That would be just like the kind of servant leader that Jesus was talking about, probably. 0.99

00:39:42.000 Just slow clap for the media.

00:39:44.000 You guys are outdoing yourselves.

00:39:46.000 And by the way, she's only been a candidate for like three days.

00:39:47.000 Like, save some.

00:39:48.000 Save some.

00:39:49.000 Because you're going to need some of that sauce later.

00:39:51.000 It's going to be a long campaign.

00:39:52.000 Meanwhile, on the other side of the aisle, Donald Trump is already unleashing.

00:39:56.000 Now, the reality is, is that going to be a successful tactic for Donald Trump?

00:40:00.000 I don't know.

00:40:01.000 You know, who the hell knows.

00:40:03.000 It worked against Hillary Clinton. 1.00

00:40:04.000 Is it going to work against Kamala Harris?

00:40:05.000 I have doubts.

00:40:06.000 I think, again, that all Donald Trump has to do is point to her radicalism and he wins swing states.

00:40:11.000 I don't think Donald Trump needs to, you know, be kind of the full Donald Trump, meaning as aggressive as he very often is with regard to his own opponents.

00:40:20.000 We've been saying this for years, that Donald Trump, with one iota, one shred of containment, would actually be an unstoppable political force.

00:40:29.000 Nonetheless, here is Donald Trump announcing that post-assassination attempt, he is not going to be very nice.

00:40:35.000 You know, I was supposed to be nice.

00:40:39.000 They say something happened to me when I got shot.

00:40:42.000 I became nice.

00:40:44.000 And when you're dealing with these people, they're very dangerous people.

00:40:47.000 When you're dealing with them, you can't be too nice.

00:40:49.000 You really can't be.

00:40:50.000 So if you don't mind, I'm not going to be nice.

00:40:53.000 Is that okay?

00:40:55.000 Now again, I am perfectly fine with him being extremely harsh on Kamala Harris because she's a terrible candidate and I believe not a very good person.

00:41:02.000 But you might want to focus on her policies. 0.99

00:41:05.000 So here was Trump yesterday calling Kamala Harris real garbage. 0.98

00:41:09.000 This is, here we go. 0.98

00:41:11.000 I know Donald Trump's tight.

00:41:13.000 And in this campaign, I promise you, I will proudly put my record against his any day of the week.

00:41:21.000 As he attack, what's the retort?

00:41:24.000 Well, I think it's disgusting and I get a kick out of one thing.

00:41:27.000 They say, sir, be nice. 0.97

00:41:30.000 You just got hit with a bullet.

00:41:31.000 Maybe he's changed.

00:41:33.000 Be nice. 0.99

00:41:34.000 And I'd love to be nice, but I'm dealing against real garbage. 0.94

00:41:38.000 Again, I sympathize with him. 0.97

00:41:40.000 He is.

00:41:40.000 He certainly, certainly is.

00:41:42.000 But this is also the game that Democrats want him to play.

00:41:45.000 Now, to be clear, what Democrats are really hoping for is a full LEROY JENKINS.

00:41:50.000 Now, for those of you who don't know the online meme, that is a multiplayer video game in which everybody is sort of standing around trying to plan what their next move is, and one of the characters goes to the bathroom, comes back, And then just runs into the room without any further plan.

00:42:03.000 That's what Democrats are hoping for from President Trump.

00:42:05.000 They're preparing for all of that from President Trump because their best defense, the thing they love using more than anything, is calling Republicans sexist and racist.

00:42:13.000 It is their very favorite thing to do.

00:42:14.000 Now, I don't think that's going to work very well, but I think that Donald Trump should be very careful about how he addresses Kamala Harris, not because they're right, but because if you alienate the female audience, Especially an audience that Trump has been doing slightly better with than he did back in 2020.

00:42:31.000 Then this election is just, it's too close.

00:42:34.000 It's too close not to be meticulous.

00:42:37.000 The meticulousness is going to pay off.

00:42:39.000 If Donald Trump is not meticulous, again, the margins are too slim in these states.

00:42:43.000 Right now, every single major battleground state is within margin of error post Biden dropping out.

00:42:50.000 I mean, they're in margin of error territory in Georgia.

00:42:53.000 That is a massive problem.

00:42:55.000 If Trump loses Georgia, the election is over.

00:42:58.000 They're within margin of error territory in Pennsylvania, in Michigan, in Wisconsin.

00:43:02.000 And this election is so tight.

00:43:05.000 So Donald Trump has to be very meticulous about what he says.

00:43:08.000 The most meticulous probably he's ever been, especially given the fact that the Democratic Party and the media, I'm not sure that that coalition has ever been more enthused about taking out a Republican.

00:43:20.000 They were enthused about Barack Obama.

00:43:22.000 Make no mistake, and they're much more enthused about Obama than they are now about Kamala Harris.

00:43:26.000 But in terms of their opportunity to pull a fast one and shove Kamala Harris into the presidency and stop Donald Trump, I'm not sure I've ever seen more enthusiasm from the elite class in the Democratic Party and the media, which means Trump has to run basically a no mistakes race.

00:43:40.000 Speaking of errors that Republicans are going to have to avoid.

00:43:45.000 J.D.

00:43:45.000 Vance is the vice presidential nominee for President Trump.

00:43:47.000 Now, if you had a time machine, if you go back two weeks, would he have picked J.D.

00:43:51.000 Vance again?

00:43:52.000 I doubt it.

00:43:52.000 I think he probably would have picked somebody like Glenn Youngkin from Virginia in an attempt to broaden out his base.

00:43:57.000 Instead, he went with J.D.

00:43:58.000 Vance, feeling because he was right, that at the time he had a very solid advantage in the race against Joe Biden.

00:44:04.000 Well, again, J.D.

00:44:05.000 is super smart.

00:44:06.000 He also has a long history of public commentary.

00:44:09.000 So back in 2021, this is the sort of hot controversy of the day from the Democrats.

00:44:14.000 Back in 2021, J.D.

00:44:15.000 Vance was appearing on Tucker Carlson's show back when Tucker's show was on Fox.

00:44:19.000 And he ripped into what he called the childless cat lady culture of the Democrats, including Kamala Harris.

00:44:26.000 What I was basically saying is that we're effectively run in this country via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made. 1.00

00:44:37.000 And so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.

00:44:40.000 And it's just a basic fact.

00:44:41.000 You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. 0.99

00:44:49.000 And how does it make any sense that we've turned our country over to people who don't really have a direct stake in it? 0.76

00:44:56.000 I agree that our country has moved away from caring about the future because too few Americans care about having children.

00:45:02.000 I totally agree with that.

00:45:03.000 However, this description that J.D.

00:45:05.000 Vance is using, is that politically smart or is it politically damaging?

00:45:09.000 Now, again, he doesn't have a time machine.

00:45:10.000 He can't go back and undo something he said now three and a half years ago.

00:45:15.000 With that said, Democrats are of course using this as a club with which to beat Donald Trump and J.D.

00:45:19.000 Vance.

00:45:19.000 They're trying to run up the gender gap.

00:45:20.000 So one of the things to understand about this election cycle is that the gender gap is larger than it has ever been in the history of American politics in all likelihood.

00:45:28.000 Males overwhelmingly vote for Trump.

00:45:30.000 Females, particularly single females, overwhelmingly vote for Biden.

00:45:34.000 And so they're going to try to find some sort of wedge to claim that all Republicans are sexist.

00:45:39.000 And this is the wedge they're using today.

00:45:41.000 So here is one CNN guest going after J.D.

00:45:44.000 Vance on this basis.

00:45:48.000 But the reality is within the Republican Party now there's a shits and giggles caucus and you say these kinds of things because you get clicks and likes and hates and all that you get noticed and you go to that.

00:45:58.000 So that's the DEI comment. 0.98

00:45:59.000 That's the sexual comment that the guy made.

00:46:03.000 That's ultimately the cat lady comment.

00:46:05.000 There's no real rationale behind it except that you appeal to that limited part of the Adams family part of the Republican Party that likes that.

00:46:13.000 That's it.

00:46:14.000 Okay, so that is of course a former Republican who is saying that.

00:46:18.000 Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston is signing into the chat to point out that the childless cat lady remarks are very distasteful to her.

00:46:24.000 She says, I truly can't believe this is coming from a potential VP of the United States.

00:46:28.000 All I can say is, Mr. Vance, I pray your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day.

00:46:33.000 I hope she will not need to use IVF as a second option because you are trying to take that away from women today. 0.66

00:46:40.000 Now, again, One of the things that Vance made perfectly clear is he's talking about women who don't have children by choice.

00:46:46.000 He is suggesting that there is, in fact, a difference between people who choose to have children and people who don't choose to have children.

00:46:54.000 On a general moral level, again, I agree that a future-oriented society is a society built around its kids.

00:47:01.000 I actually think that's inarguable because otherwise the society has no future.

00:47:05.000 With that said, there are many people who choose not to have kids, who have good policy ideas on a wide variety of subjects.

00:47:11.000 Also, more importantly, it's just going to be a political baton.

00:47:15.000 So this is why I say Republicans are going to have to be significantly more careful about what they say against Kamala Harris than they have been against Joe Biden.

00:47:23.000 Not because Kamala is wonderful or decent or anything like that, but because the media are waiting.

00:47:28.000 They're waiting.

00:47:28.000 Do not play their game.

00:47:30.000 Just do not play their game.

00:47:31.000 Donald Trump still has the advantage in this election.

00:47:35.000 He does.

00:47:35.000 He has the advantage in this election.

00:47:37.000 It just requires the president of the United States, Donald Trump, former president, to be very meticulous about what he says.

00:47:43.000 And the same is true for J.D.

00:47:44.000 Vance.

00:47:44.000 I have some faith that they will.

00:47:46.000 Again, I think that both are intelligent men, particularly J.D.

00:47:50.000 All righty, coming up, we're going to jump into the latest economic reports.

00:47:53.000 The media are trying to suggest that the economy is now going great guns, which is presumably a pitch for Kamala Harris.
