00:00:00.000 Sydney Sweeney broke the internet again, this time by being naked.
00:00:03.000 Again, I don't know, like, okay. 0.99
00:00:05.000 And then she triggered all the female athletes on TikTok who had nothing to say about men competing against them for years.
00:00:10.000 Is it jealousy?
00:00:12.000 Is it societal virtue crumbling?
00:00:13.000 Like, what's happening here?
00:00:14.000 We'll break down the backlash. 1.00
00:00:16.000 So, Sydney Sweeney is a good looking woman. 0.86
00:00:19.000 Hey, this feels inarguable. 0.57
00:00:22.000 Online, everything is arguable, but I mean, she is good looking.
00:00:25.000 She would not be famous if she were not very good looking.
00:00:28.000 And I just want to point out how.
00:00:30.000 Wild things have gotten.
00:00:32.000 This segment, by the way, is sponsored by friends at Balance of Nature.
00:00:35.000 If you take Balance of Nature, you probably won't look like Sydney Sweeney, but you will be a lot healthier.
00:00:38.000 So there is that.
00:00:40.000 Okay, so here is the Sydney Sweeney ad.
00:00:43.000 So she is doing an ad for a sports betting app called Movig.
00:00:48.000 The ad involves her being scantily clad, so prepare thyself.
00:00:55.000 Okay, so I'm an attractive naked person.
00:00:59.000 Think you know sports?
00:01:01.000 Prove it.
00:01:02.000 Okay, so she's holding footballs in front of her.
00:01:04.000 In front of her greatest assets.
00:01:06.000 So they wanted a show.
00:01:07.000 Just sport. 1.00
00:01:08.000 And now she's on a hoop. 0.99
00:01:09.000 Naked. 0.99
00:01:10.000 You can trade this sport.
00:01:14.000 So, you know, again, it's just her in her variety of poses, scantily clad. 0.75
00:01:14.000 Okay. 0.75
00:01:20.000 With various sporting equipment.
00:01:20.000 This sport, too.
00:01:24.000 Sports.
00:01:26.000 Sports.
00:01:26.000 Okay.
00:01:27.000 Okay.
00:01:27.000 I think we get the point.
00:01:28.000 So people went crazy.
00:01:30.000 People went crazy about this.
00:01:33.000 So Beatrice.
00:01:35.000 Hats, a U.S. Paralympian and Love Island season eight contestant, responded to Sidney Sweeney, was very, very upset.
00:01:43.000 Because when I am talking about people who are not exhibitionists, I go directly to Love Island contestants.
00:01:50.000 And instead of watching Sidney Sweeney's ad, let's watch actual women in sports. 1.00
00:01:54.000 He's the one, a homie goes deeper than a feminine. 0.98
00:02:08.000 Who feels like a rodeo knows just how to. 0.99
00:02:17.000 So, I'm sorry that people don't want to watch your athletic feats as much as people generally are drawn to good looking naked people.
00:02:27.000 There's that.
00:02:29.000 American gymnast Gracie Kramer says the ad is infuriating.
00:02:31.000 Quote This ad is honestly infuriating.
00:02:33.000 I've spent my entire life competing in a sport where female athletes have been over sexualized, reduced to our bodies, and forced to fight to actually be taken seriously for what we can actually do.
00:02:41.000 Wait, what? 0.96
00:02:42.000 Sydney Sweeney was not claiming to be a gymnast or a baseball player.
00:02:47.000 That was not my impression of that ad.
00:02:50.000 I mean, let's be real.
00:02:51.000 People weren't watching the ad for the sports stats.
00:02:55.000 Gracie Kramer says to see women's sports once again being marketed through the male gaze feels like a massive step back.
00:03:00.000 It wasn't women's sports being marketed, it was just a sports betting app that was being marketed.
00:03:04.000 We should not have to take our clothes off to convince men that women belong in sports. 0.99
00:03:08.000 Again, she was not making the case that she was trying to make the WNBA. 1.00
00:03:12.000 Or that we're only worth washing if we're showing enough skin.
00:03:14.000 And if you still don't think that it's deep, I invite you to do your best to empathize with every female athlete who's had to compete while simultaneously being objectified on the court, disrespected on the field, and over sexualized in the media.
00:03:25.000 What does this have to do with you?
00:03:26.000 I feel like you are inserting yourself into this story, lady.
00:03:30.000 I don't typically speak out on controversial topics, but to me, this isn't controversial.
00:03:33.000 This is about demanding respect for female athletes and protecting the future of women in sports.
00:03:37.000 What the F? 1.00
00:03:38.000 Like, Sydney Sweeney is not a woman in sports. 1.00
00:03:40.000 She's a woman in a sports commercial. 0.60
00:03:42.000 What in the world? 1.00
00:03:44.000 So, okay, here's the thing.
00:03:46.000 Instead of getting mad at Sidney Sweeney ads, one of the things we could do is just take care of our health.
00:03:51.000 Okay, we could.
00:03:53.000 Let's be real.
00:03:54.000 Much of the jealousy of Sidney Sweeney is rooted in the fact that people don't look the way they want to.
00:03:58.000 Well, one solution for that would be just to eat healthier.
00:04:01.000 One, one way to do this is just to get healthier.
00:04:01.000 Okay.
00:04:03.000 And this is what balance of nature is for.
00:04:06.000 A lot of people have questioned whether the make America healthy again movement is just a political moment that's going to go away.
00:04:12.000 But I don't think that it is because again, people want to be healthier.
00:04:17.000 Balance of nature has advocated for increased fruit and veggie consumption long before MAHA was like a national thing.
00:04:22.000 Balance of nature supports the continued focus on empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own health.
00:04:27.000 The MAHA movement's emphasis on prevention.
00:04:29.000 Reflect a broader recognition that small, consistent choices contribute to long term wellness.
00:04:35.000 Right now, you can get an additional 10% off any Balance of Nature subscription, plus a free guiltless snack when you use promo code Shapiro.
00:04:41.000 Go check them out.
00:04:41.000 It's a simple, low lift way to get more of what your body actually needs.
00:04:47.000 So, Sydney Sweeney posted the ESPN body issue in response.
00:04:51.000 The ESPN has been doing this for years, this ridiculous body issue where they just get a bunch of athletes to pose nude.
00:04:57.000 I always thought it was strange.
00:05:00.000 In a statement to the Novig website, Sweeney said, The campaign was about embracing a fun idea.
00:05:04.000 The concept is simple cut through the noise and put the focus entirely on sports.
00:05:08.000 The campaign brings that idea to life with confidence, humor, and a playful edge.
00:05:13.000 And, like, okay, so I just come on.
00:05:19.000 Come on.
00:05:20.000 Our friend Clay Travis had some thoughts.
00:05:23.000 Women's athletics is in no way impacted by a pro sports gambling ad by Sidney Sweeney.
00:05:30.000 But why in the world is it the case that.
00:05:34.000 Anyone would even make that connection, especially when female athletes by and large are staying quiet about men competing in women's sports. 0.52
00:05:45.000 Don't you think that if you were going to talk about things that are attacking female athletics, you might say, hey, maybe the WNBA should be able to tell us what the W and WNBA stands for? 1.00
00:05:57.000 Maybe we should keep men out of women's locker rooms.
00:05:59.000 Maybe we should keep boys out of girls' locker rooms. 1.00
00:06:02.000 Instead, these women are claiming that they're offended by Sidney Sweeney. 1.00
00:06:06.000 Again, he is totally right about all of this.
00:06:08.000 I want to point something else out that's kind of funny.
00:06:10.000 Okay, it just shows you how far we have moved in the American public discourse.
00:06:13.000 So, this is an ad from 2005.
00:06:15.000 It was very controversial in its time.
00:06:17.000 It seems so tame by comparison now.
00:06:19.000 This is a Paris Hilton Carl's Jr. commercial.
00:06:22.000 I remember this ad because it came out right around the time my book Porn Generation came out, and my book was about the pornification of American society.
00:06:29.000 I know I've been on the anti porn bandwagon for literally ever, for literally ever, and have been irritated by Female nudity being used to market sports actually for pretty much all my life.
00:06:41.000 I was a long time subscriber to Sports Illustrated, and I'm one of the seven people who called up Sports Illustrated and said, Please don't send the swimsuit edition, which has nothing to do with sports.
00:06:49.000 Please just give me an extra edition of, like, you know, the magazine about baseball and basketball.
00:06:53.000 But here was the Paris Hilton ad from 2005 that launched a thousand think pieces.
00:07:00.000 I love Paris.
00:07:02.000 Again, it's just Paris Hilton in a bathing suit soaping up a car for Carl's Jr.
00:07:07.000 I love Paris in the fall.
00:07:10.000 Okay, again, she's wearing.
00:07:11.000 More clothes than Sidney Sweeney was in that commercial.
00:07:14.000 Again, it's weirdly porny, obviously.
00:07:19.000 Now, this made like a lot of headlines way back then.
00:07:21.000 And I'm old enough to remember when conservatives thought that was bad.
00:07:24.000 So here's the thing I still think this stuff is kind of bad.
00:07:27.000 I'm not in favor of it.
00:07:28.000 But the reason that you are seeing so many conservatives who are rushing to defend Sidney Sweeney is because here's how far the left has moved.
00:07:35.000 So the left in 2005 was a defender of the Paris Hilton commercial because they said pornography was good.
00:07:40.000 Right, that was the case.
00:07:42.000 Sex work is work. 1.00
00:07:43.000 Pornography is good. 1.00
00:07:44.000 Shatter the systems through nudity.
00:07:47.000 Okay, and so the right was like, no, we're not doing any of that.
00:07:50.000 The left has now moved all the way from there, too. 0.99
00:07:54.000 Boys can be girls, and also female beauty isn't a thing. 1.00
00:07:58.000 And Sidney Sweeney isn't a beautiful woman, and we don't even know if she is a woman. 1.00
00:08:01.000 Maybe she's a man. 0.99
00:08:02.000 So maybe a dude with the twig and berries is more of a woman than Sidney Sweeney, and also being fat and ugly is a new form of beauty. 0.97
00:08:10.000 That's how far the left has moved.
00:08:11.000 And so the right, in response, is like, no, you know what was good? 1.00
00:08:13.000 Like good looking women. 1.00
00:08:16.000 That's where we have moved as a society. 1.00
00:08:17.000 Just going to point out how crazy things got over the past 20 years.
00:08:21.000 I mean, it was a more innocent time, 2005, when we had debates over whether those commercials were appropriate.
00:08:26.000 Now the debate is over whether women exist like in humanity and whether there are, in fact, standards of beauty that are clearly applicable.
00:08:35.000 So it says more about where we've moved as a society than it does about, say, Sydney Sweeney or about sports or anything like that.
00:08:42.000 What an amazing video you just watched.
00:08:44.000 Wasn't that amazing?
00:08:45.000 Well, you know, if you'd think so, head on over to dailywire.comslash subscribe to watch the full show ad free or check out this crazy story here.
00:08:52.000 Every significant movement in history has started with protesting.
00:08:55.000 It's Uncle Tom! 1.00
00:08:55.000 You're a traitor! 1.00
00:08:56.000 This is our generation's civil rights! 0.99
00:08:58.000 I have no idea what the protest is about.
00:09:00.000 Bingo!
00:09:01.000 Given the current climate, should a figure as polarizing as Clay Saunders even be allowed on campus?
00:09:06.000 Ah, can you hear me okay?
00:09:07.000 Saunders is a close personal friend of Chancellor Friedman.
00:09:10.000 This is a decision I cannot fight. 1.00
00:09:11.000 Islam will conquer the West. 1.00
00:09:14.000 Assalamualaikum. 1.00
00:09:15.000 Are we paying attention?
00:09:20.000 They've taken over the building.
00:09:21.000 They're downstairs and they've blocked the doors.
00:09:25.000 I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty.
00:09:29.000 We cannot run and hide.
00:09:31.000 Muhammad is the messenger of God.
00:09:34.000 There is no God but Allah.
00:09:37.000 What do you say? 1.00
00:09:38.000 We turn those SOBs into a fine red mist. 0.99
00:09:43.000 As we move, one man will cover while the other guys go. 1.00
00:09:46.000 They call that leapfrogging.
00:09:48.000 Stretch them out when missing.
00:09:51.000 You need a course in safe weapons handling.
