00:01:23.000So at this point, you might want to minimize the power of government, would you not?
00:01:26.000Because it turns out they can't do any of these things.1.00
00:01:28.000But instead, what you get is the retard right.0.99
00:01:32.000And the insane communist left getting together to decide that the real problem, of course, is capitalism.0.90
00:01:38.000That you need more, you need to give Zoran Momdani more power and then he'll fix everything, just the way that France gave more power to the government.
00:01:43.000And things look very fixed over there, don't they?
00:01:46.000Zoran Momdani, by the way, in his own person, is a merger of all the factors we're talking about budgetary irresponsibility that's going to break budgets, communist politics, and Islamist radicalism.
00:01:57.000He has all of those things put together in one human, and Theo Voine is sitting there like the droog that he is, praising all of this.
00:02:03.000Do you think that the American dream is still alive?
00:03:47.000Large majorities, according to the Wall Street Journal, support both strong border security and a pathway to citizenship for people in the country illegally.
00:03:55.000Also, when it comes to spending, nearly three quarters of voters support a cap on childcare costs for working families.
00:04:04.000Also, nearly four in five voters support capping credit card interest rates at 10%.
00:04:08.000Because when people don't understand trade offs and they are told that if you vote for a thing, it will magically appear and they don't think of any of the spillover effects, which is what economics is about, economics is fundamentally the study of the distribution of goods and resources and also the knock on effects of how you distribute those things.0.99
00:04:26.000If you never look at the second order effects of the policies that you examine, you end up with idiot policies.0.98
00:04:33.000And unfortunately, again, this is bled over to both parties.
00:04:35.000So the vice president, JD Vance, who is himself a very, very big government Republican, he is promoting the idea that the government can also fix all of your economic problems through tariffs and through subsidization.
00:04:49.000And then he cites the dyspepsia of people about the economy as a rationale for yet more government involvement.
00:04:56.000Again, this sort of pandering is not helpful.
00:05:03.000When you tell Americans they cannot succeed, the free market has failed them, vote for me, and I'm going to fix all your problems, all of your dyspepsia is not only somewhat based, but also entirely justified by hatred of the free market, and I will step in and fix it for you.
00:05:17.000I'm sorry, Republicans can't compete in this business.
00:05:20.000They will lose because Democrats are there promising even more stuff.
00:05:24.000But here's JD Vance trying the soft sell approach.
00:05:27.000Like, I just think you have to level with people that if you're trying to undo 40 years of bad policy, of globalization, of shipping American jobs overseas, it's going to take a little bit of time to fix that.
00:05:37.000Now, do I think we've made incredible progress?
00:05:40.000But I think we just have to be honest with people.
00:05:42.000Look, we're trying to fix what was broken over 40 years.
00:05:46.000Everything was not going to be fixed in 18 months, but you can't ignore people's concerns.
00:05:50.000And so, you know, on the one hand, you have the president talking about all the great building that's happening.
00:05:55.000You have me sort of acknowledging that it's going to take a long time to rebuild the American middle class.
00:06:01.000And on the other hand, you have a few tone deaf Republicans who say, shut up if you're pissed off about a $22 burrito.
00:06:07.000Well, my response to those people is, no, listen to people who are upset with the state of the economy.
00:06:13.000If we don't listen to people, we will turn into the very thing that we hate, the very thing that we ran against.
00:06:20.000Okay, so I'm just going to point out here that there is a difference between saying he's citing the $20 burrito again, because this is very much in vogue with people who are on the big government right.
00:06:28.000The entire controversy, the dumb controversy over the $22 burrito, Is twofold.
00:06:33.000Everyone agrees things cost too much.0.72
00:06:35.000Also, a burrito does not cost $22 unless you're ordering it via Uber.
00:06:39.000And so there are some personal lifestyle decisions that you can make as to whether you wish to spend $22 on a burrito.
00:06:44.000Both of those things can live logically in your mind.
00:06:47.000But again, the goal of politicians is to pretend that if you want a golden horsey and people don't give you your golden horsey and you're upset that you don't have your golden horsey, I will give you the golden horsey.
00:06:57.000Ben, if you want to talk about the reasons for inflation, there are reasons for inflation.
00:07:01.000And of course, the entire left and part of the right will say that one of the reasons for inflation.
00:07:05.000That's true with regard to gas and oil, of course, of course.0.65
00:07:08.000But let us be very, very clear that inflation spiked under Joe Biden to extraordinary rates well before there was an Iran war because of the government spending and because of the bottlenecks in supply chains, thanks to COVID, and then the entire vast wave of money that he hovered over the economy.
00:07:25.000And then it came down late in the Biden administration, and then it dropped even a little more under Trump, and then it started to basically stagnate in the 3% to 4% range under President Trump.
00:07:35.000Partially because he decided to once again restrict supply, which is what a tariff is.
00:07:39.000And then that was exacerbated by the war in Iran.
00:07:42.000All of which is to say that government involvement in the economy is highly likely to produce precisely the inflationary effects that people are decrying.
00:07:51.000So, when they say, well, you know, I'm worried about costs, therefore the government should be more involved, and you just have to tell people, you have to level with them that we need to redo the entire economic structure.
00:08:00.000Free markets, that's the real problem.
00:08:02.000Okay, let us be very clear about the status of the economy since 1967.
00:08:07.000Again, we showed these stats the other day, and they are true.
00:08:10.000According to Cato Institute, looking at the Census Bureau income data since 1967, over the past 60 years, the share of households with incomes Over $150,000 went from 5% of households in 1967 to 28% of households in 2025.0.91
00:08:31.000The share of households who made between $35,000 and $149,000 dropped actually from 65% to 53% because a huge number of those people moved into the upper middle and upper class.
00:08:45.000Also, real household income has risen by more than half since 1967.
00:08:51.000If you look at this line, it is basically an arithmetic increase.
00:08:55.000It is basically just a slow and steady increase in real median household income.
00:09:02.000It spiked during Trump turn one, by the way.
00:09:05.000But this is a fairly even growing line.
00:09:08.000So the idea that you are living a much worse life than your grandparents were living in 1967 because of, say, free trade or because of deregulation is crazy.
00:09:20.000There are enough people listening to this show right now that if they don't vote, it could swing key states in the 2026 election to the Democrats.
00:09:48.000Making your voice heard is easier than ever.
00:09:50.000You can get election reminders, look up your polling location, pick a date to vote early.
00:09:53.000Go to GOPvotes.org today, paid for by SLF PAC, not authorized by any candidate or candidates committee.
00:10:02.000But if your politicians on the right and the left keep lying to you about what government can do, I mean, they can lie.
00:10:07.000It's obviously, listen, it is always going to be politically productive to tell everybody that they can have the golden horsey.
00:10:14.000But there are downstream effects to telling everybody they can have the golden horsey.
00:10:17.000And you're watching it in France right now.
00:10:19.000And here was JD Vance talking about how the social welfare system is a core part of the social contract.
00:10:25.000One of my big beliefs, Joe, on this is like the social welfare system in this country.
00:10:31.000Is a core part of the social contract.
00:10:34.000Like my family, I myself benefited from some of these programs.
00:10:38.000I'm now the vice president of the United States.
00:10:41.000I know a lot of people who get down on their luck, who need a little bit of help giving their kids access to a doctor or taking their kids to a dentist or need a little bit of help that month buying food for their families.
00:10:53.000I want those programs to exist, and I think it's a cool thing about Americans that we're generous to one another.
00:10:59.000We say, when you're down on your luck, yes, of course, we want you to be.
00:11:03.000And yes, we want you to be trying to get back on your feet.
00:11:05.000And we know most of our fellow Americans will.
00:11:07.000But if you're down on your luck, your kid is not going to go hungry or not going to be able to treat an illness because they can't afford a doctor.
00:11:15.000Okay, again, when he says that the social welfare system is the core part of the social contract, and then he says that he's only where he is because of social welfare systems, first of all, this is precisely the opposite of the argument that he made in the book that made him famous, Hillbilly Elegy.
00:11:28.000Second of all, there's a vast difference between local programs and the federal government.
00:11:33.000And third, it is indistinguishable from the rhetoric of Elizabeth Warren.
00:11:37.000And if Republicans keep simultaneously claiming the free markets are great and also the free markets are a failure and we need more government control, people are going to be rightly confused.
00:11:47.000Now, President Trump, he's bewildered by this.
00:11:49.000He says that we don't seem to be able to get the word across that the economy is doing pretty well.
00:11:53.000Well, maybe part of the reason is because half the Republican Party is dedicated to the proposition that we need vastly more government spending and more government regulation and centralized bureaucracy.
00:12:02.000And we have the best economy anywhere in the world.
00:12:32.000Okay, the president is not wrong here.
00:12:34.000Okay, but when you have people in the administration who are telling you that actually we need to promise more people golden horsies, it's kind of a problem.
00:12:42.000Trump's disapproval rating, by the way, continues to spike.
00:12:45.000There's a new poll out showing that his handling of the economy 26% of Americans believe that his handling of the economy is good.
00:13:30.000There's only one place to do it New York.
00:13:31.000Well, would you like to know why New York State has a high Q2 GDP growth rate?
00:13:39.000Because the number one contributor to the state's growth was finance, Wall Street, the people that he's yelling about.
00:13:45.000Remember, it's Zorhan Mamdani who says that socialism is just about having whatever you need to live a dignified life.
00:13:51.000We have an entire political class, and again, it's now spanning the entire left and part of the right, that says free markets are to blame for everything.
00:13:59.000And what we truly need is socialistic control from the top.
00:14:02.000Here is Zorhan Mamdani saying that, you know, socialism is just being nice.
00:14:09.000Socialism to me, it means that you will have whatever you need to live a dignified life and that it is the government's job to deliver on that.
00:15:36.000I want to stop privatizing things that don't work well in a market system, like healthcare, like Medicare, like all those things that are getting ruined by privatization and insurance and all those different markets and rebalance so that labor gets a fairer shake, the same shake that money gets.
00:15:59.000Again, it's just the man who became rich off the free markets is now very anti free markets, obviously, because again, there's always that beautiful dream that someone is going to come in and fix all of your problems.
00:16:10.000The statism, the welfare statism of the entire left and a huge chunk of the right.
00:16:15.000Combine that with the open immigration policies being pushed by the left, and what you get is France.0.87
00:16:18.000Here's Mila Kirosh, the DSA candidate in Colorado, who is now going to be part of the so called bloc in Congress, the commies and Islamists in Congress.
00:16:26.000Here she is saying that there are millions of immigrants that should have citizenship.0.55
00:16:29.000We need to make it so that it doesn't take a decade to become a citizen in this country and cost you thousands of dollars to do it.
00:16:43.000Being said, there are millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States right now that are working, that are contributing to their societies and their communities, and should have an immediate pathway to citizenship.
00:16:57.000And obviously, we'll make sure for the folks that have been committing crimes or whatever the case is.
00:17:02.000But again, those are a minuscule number of people.
00:17:04.000In fact, immigrants are less likely to commit a crime than people that were born here in the U.S.
00:17:09.000So I just believe in common sense immigration reform and making sure that we're actually living up to the ideals of this country.
00:18:02.000NBC is now reporting that a purported media representative for Hamas has been accused of funneling roughly $1.7 million to the terrorist organization from donors in the U.S. and elsewhere who believed they were giving humanitarian aid to Gaza.
00:18:16.000According to a federal indictment unsealed on Thursday, Salim Al Zaq was indicted by a federal grand jury in New York.
00:18:21.000And he was charged with money laundering and violating sanctions, according to the charging document.
00:18:25.000Two brothers in the U.S., Abdal Adhami and Omar Adhami, were charged in connection with the long running scheme to raise money for Hamas by disseminating propaganda and soliciting donations for the poor and orphans in Gaza via Snapchat, Telegram, and Instagram, according to court records.
00:18:39.000All told, between November 4, 2023, and June 2025, Abdal Adhami sent almost 35 grand to one PayPal account and 46 grand to another.
00:18:48.000The money was then funneled to Alzak, who is believed to be in Gaza.0.72
00:18:51.000You know, spending the money on Hamas.
00:18:53.000And these are people who are in the United States raising money for Hamas.0.94
00:19:02.000Meanwhile, a Bexar County man in Texas has been arrested and charged federally for possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number after he allegedly made a threat to attack the Texas state capitol.
00:19:13.000According to court documents, a person named Benny Caldera Jr. allegedly told another individual he was going to go to the capitol and would shoot it up, specifically, who's expressing his anger toward the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee.0.95
00:19:25.000He said, These people have to be exterminated.
00:19:27.000So things are going well here in the United States.0.99
00:19:30.000Again, a radicalized left, a perverse horseshoe right, a welfare statist, uniparty.
00:19:40.000This is France is your future unless you say no.
00:19:43.000France is your future unless you just say no to all of it.
00:19:46.000What an amazing video you just watched.
