00:01:35.000 Okay, so late last night, President Trump tweeted out that he was going to allow Emily Murphy, who is the head of the General Services Administration, to move forward with the transition for Joe Biden.

00:01:44.000 This doesn't mean he has dropped his legal challenges.

00:01:46.000 It does mean that he is not going to be, as I have suggested before, holing up in the Oval Office, snorting blow and firing machine guns through the door, A la the most fevered fantasies of the members of the media.

00:01:57.000 This was always a fantasy.

00:01:58.000 Members of the media were under the grave misimpression that President Trump was going to string barbed wire around the White House, and they were going to get the glorious image of people with uniforms and guns going in and frog-marching Trump out of the White House.

00:02:10.000 This was always wish fulfillment by Democrats.

00:02:13.000 It was always fantasy by Democrats.

00:02:15.000 And President Trump blew up that fantasy last night when he said, listen, my legal challenges are still ongoing here.

00:02:21.000 But there will be an orderly transition of power no matter what happens.

00:02:25.000 He tweeted out, Which of course is the appropriate move, right?

00:02:26.000 for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our country.

00:02:29.000 She has been harassed, threatened and abused.

00:02:31.000 And I do not want to see this happen to her, her family or employees of GSA.

00:02:34.000 Our case strongly continues.

00:02:36.000 We'll keep up the good fight.

00:02:37.000 I believe we will prevail.

00:02:38.000 Nevertheless, in the best interest of our country, I'm recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols and have told my team to do the same, which of course is the appropriate move, right?

00:02:47.000 He gets to move forward with all of his legal challenges.

00:02:50.000 This thing doesn't get voted on until December 14th.

00:02:52.000 He gets to move forward and show whatever evidence he has in court.

00:02:55.000 The cases are not going well so far, but theoretically they could reverse.

00:02:58.000 But in the meantime, he is not holding up the transition of power that is supposed to happen.

00:03:03.000 Now the way the Washington Post suggests is that Emily Murphy had done something deeply wrong by not starting the transition earlier. 0.91

00:03:09.000 The problem, of course, is that none of the states had certified their votes as of last week.

00:03:12.000 Now the states are starting to certify their votes.

00:03:14.000 The electors don't even meet until the middle of December.

00:03:17.000 So she really did not have any legal grounds to do so without the formal concession of the President of the United States in the race.

00:03:23.000 She is a person who holds a government office and she is bound by the law.

00:03:28.000 And until the president concedes, which basically makes everything else a formality, she can't start the transition.

00:03:32.000 Trump giving her permission to start the transition allows the process to go forward.

00:03:35.000 The Washington Post, of course, plays this as though she had done something deeply wrong by not unilaterally starting the transition, even though she really does not have the power legally to do so.

00:03:44.000 According to the Washington Post, Murphy, a by-the-book expert in federal procurement policy, consulted with her senior staff and her attorneys, the transition law dating to 1963 that was supposed to guide her in determining when a candidate had won, had little to offer in the current case, with the president refusing to concede and a Republican party standing by him.

00:04:00.000 Well, no, actually, it's just that the legal process Moving forward was just supposed to be that the votes get certified and none of the states had certified their votes yet.

00:04:08.000 So again, if Trump had conceded, then she would have moved the transition forward.

00:04:10.000 Now he's given her permission, and so she's moving the transition forward.

00:04:13.000 The media are trying to play this as though Trump was trying to stop her from moving the transition forward.

00:04:17.000 That's not right.

00:04:18.000 He just was not giving her the permission to move the transition forward, which was Necessary, because she doesn't have any other legal authority.

00:04:23.000 She does work for the executive branch.

00:04:25.000 She did write a letter to Joe Biden, and she said, She said she received a lot of threats.

00:04:28.000 adult life to public service. I've always strived to do what is right. Please know I came to my decision independently based on the law and available facts.

00:04:34.000 I was never directly or indirectly pressured by any executive branch official, including those who work at the White House or GSA with regard to the substance or timing of my decision.

00:04:41.000 To be clear, I did not receive any direction to delay my determination. She said she received a lot of threats. She said I always remained committed to upholding the law. Of course, it is her job to make sure that post-election resources and services are available to assist in the event of a presidential transition.

00:04:56.000 But of course, the media declaring somebody president-elect does not formally make them, by law, president-elect of the United States.

00:05:02.000 So in any case, the transition is beginning to move forward.

00:05:06.000 In the meantime, President Trump continues to move forward with his legal challenges.

00:05:10.000 That pathway continues to narrow.

00:05:12.000 Last night, the Michigan State Board of Canvassers voted to certify the state's election results.

00:05:15.000 That is a board that is made up of two Republicans and two Democrats.

00:05:20.000 One of the two Republican members of the Michigan State Canvassing Board, Aaron Van Langeveld, joined the two Democrats to vote to certify the election results.

00:05:27.000 So apparently it went 3-1.

00:05:29.000 The state's highly anticipated certification was the latest in a series of episodes over the past week that have reinforced Biden's victory, even as Trump has refused to concede.

00:05:35.000 This is according to, of course, CNN.

00:05:38.000 Also in Pennsylvania, the state Supreme Court.

00:05:42.000 Rejected the Trump campaign's effort to block the counting of certain absentee ballots, clearing the way for votes to be certified in multiple counties, including Philadelphia.

00:05:49.000 The county that includes Philadelphia did certify its vote last night and of course last week.

00:05:54.000 The Republican governor and secretary of state in Georgia certified the state's election results, although there will be another recount that is going to happen in Georgia.

00:06:01.000 As well, the Georgia secretary of state's office, according to Daily Wire, announced the additional recounts on Monday evening during a press conference.

00:06:07.000 The Trump campaign criticized Georgia's first recount, which took place over the course of last week.

00:06:11.000 and uncovered two errors worth thousands of votes each on Saturday.

00:06:15.000 The Trump campaign is legally entitled to a recount upon request with the cost of such an operation covered by Georgia state and local governments, according to Politico.

00:06:22.000 The Trump campaign is calling for some sort of re-examination of the ballots based on the signatures on the mail ballot envelopes.

00:06:29.000 That's going to be kind of difficult because originally, when you look at the mail ballot envelopes, the signatures are compared and then the envelopes are thrown away.

00:06:35.000 So it's not like that evidence still exists at this point.

00:06:38.000 Georgia's going to end up certifying the election. 1.00

00:06:41.000 Meanwhile, the Trump campaign continues to try and move forward with its own legal theory.

00:06:48.000 Rudy Giuliani spelled out that legal theory a little bit yesterday.

00:06:51.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.

00:06:52.000 First, let us talk about great watches.

00:06:55.000 So I'm a watch guy, right?

00:06:56.000 I own a bunch of really luxury watches, but luxury watches cost a fortune.

00:07:00.000 They cost an arm and a leg.

00:07:02.000 And you can get a great watch at an affordable price, like a really nice looking, durable, excellent.

00:07:08.000 I'm talking about Vincero watches.

00:07:38.000 These watches are just great.

00:07:39.000 They run fantastically well.

00:07:41.000 They are, as I say, very durable.

00:07:42.000 They look great.

00:07:43.000 I mean, this looks like a luxury watch, and it does not cost what a luxury watch costs.

00:08:26.000 Go check them out right now.

00:08:27.000 Okay, so...

00:08:29.000 Rudy Giuliani is struggling to sort of explain the legal strategy moving forward.

00:08:34.000 So obviously the Trump legal team dumped Sidney Powell the other day because Sidney Powell had been making wilder and wilder accusations about the hacking of voting machines and the suggestion was that millions of votes were switched.

00:08:45.000 Trump had won 80 million votes, not 73 million votes.

00:08:47.000 That the Dominion voting machines had actually been hacked because Smartmatic was originally a Venezuelan company.

00:08:52.000 It was a bit of an extreme theory, and then she got even more extreme, suggesting that basically candidates were paying Dominion in order to hack into the machines, or they'd been paid by Dominion to allow the hacking of the machines.

00:09:03.000 And so just a couple of days ago, the Trump campaign dumped Sidney Powell on the side of the road, and they said, we are no longer working with her.

00:09:10.000 And then she said she's still going to release a Kraken.

00:09:11.000 This time the Kraken is going to be taking steroids, as well as presumably some other form of analgesic.

00:09:16.000 So that's exciting stuff.

00:09:17.000 Rudy Giuliani was with Lou Dobbs, who's asked specifically, why did you dump Sidney Powell?

00:09:20.000 Here was his answer.

00:09:22.000 I think it's because we're pursuing two different theories.

00:09:26.000 Our theory of the case, to get to the Supreme Court, now in four places, and it's soon going to be in two others, and there'll be an overall lawsuit, is basically misconduct of the election by state officials in at least five or six different states, in which the misconduct of the election involves deprivation of constitutional rights for the president.

00:09:50.000 Okay, he then added that they still have a legal strategy.

00:09:53.000 That strategy is looking at the various voter irregularities and voter fraud cases.

00:09:57.000 The big problem, again, as it was in Pennsylvania, is going to be proving that the voter irregularities, the voter process, the voter fraud cases, that those amount to enough of a problem that state election results, as currently counted, should be overturned.

00:10:07.000 This was the problem in Pennsylvania.

00:10:09.000 Or a couple of affidavits in which people said that their ballots weren't properly counted.

00:10:12.000 The proper remedy would be to have their ballots counted, not to invalidate millions of votes.

00:10:15.000 This is what the judge in that particular case said.

00:10:17.000 They have the same problem in Michigan.

00:10:19.000 Presumably they'll have the same problem in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada, wherever else they decide to file these lawsuits.

00:10:24.000 You have to show that the voter fraud and voter irregularity, the proper remedy would be to set aside the election results and instead have the state lawmakers select the electors to the electoral college.

00:10:33.000 That is the burden.

00:10:34.000 Rudy is suggesting that basically they are one good case away from turning this whole thing around.

00:10:39.000 The facts are there, we just need to get them before a trier of fact or before a court that'll be fair and we'll listen to them.

00:10:46.000 I mean, the court in Pennsylvania cut it off without listening to a single fact.

00:10:51.000 And I don't know how the judge could have concluded that the facts aren't substantial when they haven't even been presented yet.

00:10:59.000 They're really kind of... And on a motion to dismiss, you're not supposed to consider that.

00:11:07.000 Unfortunately, we haven't yet gotten a fair decision.

00:11:10.000 We will.

00:11:11.000 We've got to be a little patient.

00:11:12.000 One fair decision, one good hearing, and this will turn all around.

00:11:15.000 Okay, so the legal process continues to work.

00:11:17.000 This is why the Trump team has filed a lawsuit with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals asking for leave to amend their original complaint in that district court and then be remanded back to district courts.

00:11:27.000 It's going to go back down before it goes back up.

00:11:29.000 All of the states are going to certify by December 8th, so obviously the timeline here is quite short.

00:11:33.000 Meanwhile, there have been calls from some people, like Lynn Wood in Georgia, for Republicans in Georgia to somehow boycott the Georgia senatorial election, which is the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my entire life.

00:11:42.000 If you're a Republican in Georgia, and you're angry about President Trump's treatment, and you believe that President Trump was somehow jobbed in Georgia, Okay, I don't see how the solution is for you to boycott an election in which two Democrats could be elected. 0.81

00:11:54.000 John Ossoff, a radical progressive, and Raphael Warnock, who's an actual nut.

00:11:58.000 They could be elected, and they could theoretically, if one of them, if both of them were elected, Democrats would then have a 50-50 split in the Senate of the United States, and if Joe Biden ends up taking office on January 20th, which Right now, it appears he probably will.

00:12:11.000 If that happens, then Joe Biden ends up presiding over a Democrat-run Senate with Kamala Harris breaking the tie. 0.97

00:12:17.000 If you are a Republican in Georgia, get your ass out and vote. 0.98

00:12:19.000 Vote right now. 0.99

00:12:20.000 If you can vote right now, vote right now.

00:12:22.000 If you can vote mail-in, vote mail-in.

00:12:23.000 If you can vote early, vote early.

00:12:25.000 Vote right now.

00:12:26.000 And you know who else is saying this?

00:12:29.000 It's not just me.

00:12:29.000 Donald Trump Jr.

00:12:30.000 is saying this is nuts.

00:12:31.000 He's saying, if you think that you're helping my dad somehow by not voting in the Georgia senatorial elections, you're falling for a scam.

00:12:38.000 Trump said, I'm seeing a lot of talk from people who are supposed to be on our side telling GOP voters not to go out and vote for Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

00:12:44.000 This is nonsense.

00:12:45.000 Ignore those people.

00:12:46.000 We need all of our people coming out to vote for Kelly and David.

00:12:48.000 Obviously, that is 100% true.

00:12:51.000 So, Raphael Warnock needs to lose.

00:12:52.000 Jon Ossoff needs to lose.

00:12:55.000 Perdue narrowly missed being re-elected in the general election.

00:12:57.000 He did beat Ossoff by a couple of points.

00:12:58.000 He got 49.8% of the vote.

00:13:01.000 He needed 50% in order to prevent the runoff.

00:13:03.000 On Friday afternoon, Vice President Pence traveled to Georgia to campaign for Loeffler and Perdue.

00:13:08.000 He called Perdue, quote, one of the greatest and staunchest allies of the MAGA agenda in the U.S.

00:13:11.000 Senate and praised Loeffler for building her own company from the ground and breaking barriers in business and sports.

00:13:16.000 Okay, the bottom line here is that Republicans cannot afford to have the Democrats running the Senate.

00:13:21.000 That's insane.

00:13:22.000 Okay, so regardless of what you think happened in the presidential election, please do not stay home in some sort of fit of pique and hand the Senate of the United States to the Democrats. 0.98

00:13:31.000 That is like the dumbest thing that you can do. 0.72

00:13:34.000 Now, the dumbest take from the media this morning has come courtesy of friends on the never-Trump left as well as the actual left. 0.98

00:13:43.000 These are people who have now suggested that because Donald Trump has allowed the GSA to move forward with some of its transitional processes, they stopped the coup. 0.91

00:13:50.000 So understand, These were people who were shouting from the rooftops that a coup was in progress, that America was in the midst of a constitutional crisis.

00:13:57.000 It was all grinding to a halt.

00:14:00.000 200 and some odd years of American history.

00:14:02.000 It was all coming apart.

00:14:04.000 250 years of American history was all going to stop because Donald Trump would refuse to leave the office and we'd have a constitutional crisis and then we'd have to deploy the A hundred and first airborne to the White House in order to read.

00:14:16.000 It'll be White House down, except it'll be Trump in the role of the baddies.

00:14:19.000 OK, that was always crazy talk.

00:14:21.000 It was crazy talk from beginning to end.

00:14:22.000 There are those of us who are saying, OK, there's a process that will play out.

00:14:25.000 Either the evidence will be presented or it will not be presented.

00:14:28.000 But we do have a legal process and Trump has a right.

00:14:30.000 to avail himself of all legal processes.

00:14:33.000 But people on the left are saying, oh, it's the end of the republic!

00:14:35.000 It's a coup!

00:14:36.000 Now, as I said all along, the reason they had to keep saying this over and over and over, despite the fact that it was pretty obvious there was a legal process and that, in fact, it is not unconstitutional, nor is it illegal for a president to avail himself of the legal process.

00:14:48.000 In fact, it's in the legal process.

00:14:50.000 Like, it's called the legal process, right?

00:14:52.000 So that is not illegal.

00:14:53.000 You file a lawsuit.

00:14:54.000 That is well within the legal process.

00:14:55.000 You don't have to concede.

00:14:56.000 That's a formality.

00:14:57.000 And that is a nicety.

00:14:58.000 You could theoretically run through it.

00:15:00.000 That's what Trump is doing.

00:15:00.000 He's not doing anything illegal.

00:15:02.000 And as I said all along, the process will play out. 0.94

00:15:04.000 But the media were fully invested in the line that the entire republic was going to come to a crushing halt because President Trump was such an evil bad man. 0.99

00:15:12.000 The reason they had to say that is because they have blown all of their credibility for years on the principle that Donald Trump is an evil, nefarious fascist. 0.99

00:15:18.000 Democracy dies in darkness. 0.91

00:15:20.000 And so what would happen if Donald Trump lost and then left?

00:15:23.000 What would happen?

00:15:24.000 It would completely undermine their narrative.

00:15:26.000 It would undermine the excuse they've been using for years to come out of the closet as full-scale leftists while pretending that they are still acting in objective defense of the United States from this incipient Thorn Chitler.

00:15:36.000 So they had to continue maintaining that myth.

00:15:37.000 It was necessary for them to continue maintaining the myth.

00:15:40.000 So how do they maintain the myth in face of the fact that President Trump has now authorized the GSA to begin transitional processes in lieu of final legal outcome?

00:15:48.000 How do they actually maintain the myth that Trump is a Hitlerian fascist?

00:15:51.000 Who is going to seize power, the reins of power?

00:15:54.000 You'll see.

00:15:54.000 It's a pretty wild explanation.

00:15:56.000 And it's self-flattering, of course.

00:15:58.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.

00:15:59.000 First, let us talk about the fact that there's an object that you carry around all day long.

00:16:03.000 It's extremely dirty, and then you put it on your face.

00:16:05.000 You get it near your nose.

00:16:06.000 You get it near your mouth.

00:16:08.000 You never think about it.

00:16:09.000 It is your phone, of course, right?

00:16:10.000 You take that phone into the bathroom with you, and then five minutes later, you have the phone close to your face, right?

00:16:14.000 Your phone is filled with germs.

00:16:16.000 You got your hands all over it.

00:16:17.000 I know, all of this is making you feel a little bit icky.

00:16:19.000 Well, this is why you need phone soap. 0.72

00:16:21.000 You can clean your phone with phone soap, the original patented, clinically proven UVC phone sanitizer.

00:16:26.000 They've been making phone sanitizers for the last decade.

00:16:29.000 Phone soap uses UVC light, and they're patented and clinically proven technology to kill 99.99% of germs like E. coli, Salmonella, and the cold and flu virus.

00:16:37.000 PhoneSoap can sanitize and charge your phone in as little as five minutes.

00:16:40.000 It's the only consumer UV sanitizer with a 300 degree disinfectant chamber.

00:16:45.000 It uses two transparent plates to suspend your phone, making sure all sides are disinfected.

00:16:48.000 Looks like a little box.

00:16:48.000 You put the phone in there and now it's being hit on all sides by the UVC light and killing all the germs.

00:16:54.000 PhoneSoap makes many different models for everyone.

00:16:55.000 The PhoneSoap 3 sanitizes in 10 minutes.

00:16:58.000 The PhoneSoap Pro kills 99.99% of bacteria in 5 minutes.

00:17:02.000 The HomeSoap is big enough to sanitize tablets, toys, bottles, and more.

00:17:05.000 So it's not just for your phone.

00:17:06.000 It's pretty much for everything that you need to maintain a certain level of cleanliness.

00:17:10.000 From today through Cyber Monday, go to PhoneSoap.com and use the code SANTA20.

00:17:34.000 And the special deal, obviously, 20% off.

00:17:35.000 Okay, so what is the case that Democrats are making here?

00:17:38.000 Because remember, they still have to maintain the myth, members of the media, that Trump is Orange Hitler, who is about to seize power.

00:17:44.000 So this is my favorite. 1.00

00:17:45.000 Jamal Bowie, who is a, he's an idiot. 1.00

00:17:48.000 I mean, there's no other way to put this. 1.00

00:17:49.000 The man, he is fully committed to a peculiarly radical style of American politics in which all of his opponents are badly motivated, which is, it's both morally corrupt and idiotic in the extreme. 0.92

00:18:02.000 Anyway, Jamal Bowie, he got angry because Zaid Jalani, who is a commentator on Twitter, pointed out, what was predicted? 0.94

00:18:10.000 Mass election, violence, chaos, and the end of democracy.

00:18:13.000 What happened?

00:18:13.000 Rage tweeting, comical lawsuits, and an otherwise fairly robust voter turnout.

00:18:17.000 Okay, this happens to be basically the case, right?

00:18:20.000 Everyone was saying this is the end of the republic.

00:18:22.000 We're all going to die.

00:18:23.000 Now, we all know what was going to happen if Trump won, right?

00:18:25.000 I mean, if Trump won, there are going to be riots in the streets.

00:18:27.000 There are businesses boarding up in LA, DC, New York.

00:18:30.000 Okay, but then Biden appeared to win, and suddenly everybody calmed down, and so they had to come up with a new crisis to focus in on, and the crisis was the crisis of democracy.

00:18:38.000 Okay, so Jamel Bui responds to this obvious truth, which is that everybody was preemptively panicking for no reason.

00:18:43.000 By saying this, The earnest attempt to subvert and overturn the election didn't pan out, so the people who urged vigilance were being hysterical.

00:18:49.000 Is probably going to be conventional wisdom for the professional contrarian set.

00:18:53.000 Well, um, hold up, um, well, no, you were being hysterical.

00:19:00.000 So instead, I guess the argument is that, according to Jamel Bui, the coup was going to happen except that Jamel Bui tweeted about it and then it didn't happen.

00:19:07.000 Which is really exciting news, is that people on Twitter tweeting about things, it makes change happen.

00:19:12.000 It's very flattering to the To the commentary set to believe that if you tweet loudly enough about things, they magically occur.

00:19:18.000 So the coup was about to happen, but then Jamal Bowie tweeted and wrote in the New York Times about how the coup was about to happen, and then Trump uncouped. 1.00

00:19:25.000 Or, alternatively, you guys are radical morons. 1.00

00:19:28.000 Hey, David Frum, another radical moron. 1.00

00:19:30.000 And not radical in politics, just radical in his stupidity at this point. 1.00

00:19:33.000 He tweeted out, perhaps some excited person did overreact to something. 1.00

00:19:36.000 That happens.

00:19:37.000 But if you're one of those belittling what the country just went through, the people who worried, they saved your country without you.

00:19:44.000 Nope.

00:19:45.000 Nope!

00:19:47.000 Hey, the people who worried did not save the country.

00:19:49.000 The people who worried just made things worse on Twitter, which is what they do all day.

00:19:52.000 David Frum didn't save the country by sitting there and fretting. 1.00

00:19:55.000 This basic notion in politics that if you worry really deeply about a thing that you are helping is really stupid. 0.99

00:20:00.000 It's not true. 0.98

00:20:01.000 It's not true in any walk of life.

00:20:03.000 Worry rarely solves problems.

00:20:05.000 Action solves problems, but it wasn't even as though popular action solved the problem.

00:20:09.000 There was no elected official anywhere here who was pressured by the constituents into doing something different.

00:20:14.000 You know what was always going to happen?

00:20:16.000 You know what happened?

00:20:16.000 The legal process.

00:20:17.000 The legal process.

00:20:19.000 Federal judges struck down lawsuits that they didn't think had an evidentiary basis.

00:20:22.000 You saw Republicans saying that votes were going to be certified, and the votes were certified.

00:20:28.000 So wasn't David Frum and his cadre of malcontents sitting there and rage-tweeting through the night about how this was an assault on democracy and it was the end of everything and this was going to be like Pinochet taking power? 0.94

00:20:40.000 Okay, all of that was crap and you guys got humiliated because it was crap and now you're insisting that the only reason it didn't happen is because you were rage-tweeting about it. 0.99

00:20:47.000 I'm sorry, you're ridiculous. 1.00

00:20:48.000 You're ridiculous. 0.99

00:20:49.000 Like, you know, who points this out is Ben Dreyfuss, the editorial director of Mother Jones. 0.99

00:20:52.000 He gets this right.

00:20:53.000 He tweeted out, The idea that people who predicted the very worst outcomes are actually just vigilant is insane.

00:20:58.000 In the days before the election, I had multiple people tell me Biden would win, but that it would be stolen and that armed militias would kill thousands of people in the streets.

00:21:06.000 He's had no point since November 4th.

00:21:08.000 Has it ever been in doubt that Biden would be inaugurated on January 20th?

00:21:11.000 Literally for months before the election, media made it seem that actual revolutions and bleep were possible.

00:21:18.000 He says that there's a radio lab from right before the election, which you can dig up yourself, where they say it might come down to who the military thinks should get the nuclear codes.

00:21:24.000 Like what the eff game of pretend is this?

00:21:26.000 People believe this bleep because media places say it.

00:21:30.000 He says, one man's paranoid catastrophizer is another man's just being vigilant.

00:21:34.000 This is exactly right!

00:21:36.000 Okay, if Ben Dreyfuss from Mother Jones can see it, why can't folks on the mainstream left see it?

00:21:40.000 Because folks on the mainstream left or anti-Trump forces on the right had a picture of Trump.

00:21:44.000 That picture has been cracked at every available opportunity by the actual action of Trump.

00:21:48.000 Not by the stuff he says. 0.99

00:21:49.000 Trump always says ridiculous stuff. 0.93

00:21:51.000 But the stuff he actually does. 0.91

00:21:52.000 Trump was never at any point going to seize power in a coup requiring the military to kick him out.

00:21:58.000 That was always something that the left wanted to see because it would have fulfilled their picture of who Trump was and who Trump's supporters are by extension.

00:22:04.000 Because, you see, for the left, they have not been doing particularly well in these elections.

00:22:09.000 He only won because the media spent four years basically consigning Trump to the bowels of hell while ignoring Joe Biden's actual record on every available issue and the media lying about every available narrative and Trump shooting himself in the foot a lot.

00:22:09.000 Joe Biden won.

00:22:22.000 Okay, but in Congress, they didn't do well.

00:22:24.000 In the Senate, they didn't do well.

00:22:26.000 And so they have to come up with an excuse.

00:22:27.000 And the excuse for Democrats is always the same. 1.00

00:22:29.000 The American people are dullards. 1.00

00:22:31.000 They are dullards. 1.00

00:22:32.000 They are dullards, or they are racists, or they are bigots. 1.00

00:22:34.000 And that's why they follow President Trump. 1.00

00:22:37.000 That is always the narrative.

00:22:38.000 That's the narrative from the media, even today.

00:22:41.000 They continue to push forward this narrative.

00:22:43.000 There's Sonny Hostin on The View, suggesting that Republicans voted for Trump knowing he was racist.

00:22:47.000 This all ties together.

00:22:48.000 If you paint Trump as the world's deepest threat, that means that you also get to paint his voters as the world's deepest threat.

00:22:54.000 And you get to paint half the country as terrible, terrible people, which of course makes leftists feel better about not being able to win over those people.

00:23:01.000 And you hear Sonny Hostin saying this.

00:23:04.000 I think Trumpism is here to stay, quite frankly. 0.97

00:23:07.000 Like you said, Whoopi and Joy, over 70 million people voted for him in spite of the fact that they knew that he was racist and misogynist, transphobic, homophobic. 0.93

00:23:20.000 And so they voted for him anyway.

00:23:23.000 Um, and it just, it just seems to me that that, uh, people's hearts and minds don't change that quickly.

00:23:29.000 And if we stop talking about President Trump, then, you know, I'm always fearful that past becomes prologue, right? 0.99

00:23:36.000 Ah, so they're just gonna continue talking about President Trump because of course, it allows them a prism to castigate all of Trump's supporters as ignorant bigots. 0.99

00:23:43.000 And that's really the end goal here, isn't it? 0.99

00:23:45.000 The longer you can portray Trump as a dictator, even though he started the process of transition with the GSA, without having conceded the election even, the longer you can continue to portray everybody who disagrees with you as a morally benighted fool. 0.93

00:23:57.000 Really solid stuff here from the media and from the left. 0.87

00:23:59.000 We'll get to more of that in just one second because this is sort of media conventional wisdom.

00:24:04.000 First, let us talk about your safety and your security and keeping an eye on your property.

00:24:08.000 So for me, I got three kids under the age of seven and they're kids.

00:24:11.000 That means that I really need to keep an eye on them because sometimes they do things that are not particularly smart and I want to be able to run in and stop them from doing it.

00:24:17.000 But there's only one of me and there are three of them.

00:24:19.000 They are, as I like to call them, the army of the children.

00:24:21.000 And this is why.

00:24:22.000 I love my Ring devices.

00:24:23.000 I can keep an eye on them anywhere, anytime.

00:24:25.000 I can keep an eye on them simultaneously.

00:24:27.000 It's fantastic.

00:24:28.000 With Ring, you can keep an eye on all the hustle and bustle in your house, at your front door, no matter where you are, right from your phone.

00:24:33.000 If somebody stops by or something is going on, Ring lets you know you can see and speak to whoever is there from anywhere.

00:24:38.000 This holiday season, it's not just the best time to have Ring.

00:24:40.000 It is the best time to give it as well.

00:24:42.000 Ring makes a great holiday gift.

00:24:43.000 This holiday season, give someone the gift of peace of mind.

00:24:46.000 Ring has security products for every corner of your home, inside and out.

00:24:56.000 It's a powerful, affordable whole home security system you can easily install yourself.

00:25:01.000 As a public figure, I'm deeply concerned about my own safety, which is why as soon as we moved, my wife insisted we put up the Ring devices.

00:25:07.000 You should too.

00:25:07.000 For a limited time, go to Ring.com slash Ben.

00:25:10.000 Receive special Black Friday and Cyber Monday offers.

00:25:12.000 That is Ring.com slash Ben.

00:25:14.000 Go check them out right now.

00:25:15.000 Ring.com slash Ben.

00:25:17.000 Okay, so the entire media has jumped into this narrative that even though Trump has started the sort of transitional process, And this means that he was going to be a dictator, and he should never work with Republicans because Republicans are bad.

00:25:28.000 Don Lemon on CNN, a very objective journalist, starts journalism-ing everywhere.

00:25:32.000 The journalism was getting pretty much all over the place here.

00:25:34.000 Here he was with block of wood Chris Cuomo explaining there should never be any unity with Republicans because Republicans are bad because they were going to be complicit in a coup that never happened and was never going to happen.

00:25:45.000 How do you come to some sort of compromise or an agreement with a person who doesn't believe in science, a person who doesn't believe in facts, a person who doesn't believe in reality?

00:25:55.000 How do you come to some sort of agreement that you don't care enough about maybe yourself or you don't care enough about someone else that you just can't put a little piece of cloth over your face?

00:26:05.000 I don't know where the compromise and the come-togethering, I know that's not where that's going to come from.

00:26:11.000 You can't compromise with these people.

00:26:13.000 You can't come together with them.

00:26:13.000 They support coups.

00:26:14.000 They won't put on a mask.

00:26:16.000 Yadda yadda. 0.83

00:26:16.000 Again, the idea here from the media is that everybody who disagrees with them is morally bad, is morally bankrupt. 0.83

00:26:22.000 And the way you can tell this is because Trump is morally bad and morally bankrupt.

00:26:25.000 As Trump said, and it was the truest thing that he said in all of his years in politics, they don't hate him.

00:26:31.000 They don't hate you because they hate Trump.

00:26:32.000 If you support Trump, they don't hate you because they hate Trump.

00:26:34.000 They hate Trump because they hate you.

00:26:35.000 He's just a stand-in for their hatred of you because you think differently. 0.86

00:26:39.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden has started selecting his cabinet and it's amazing to watch how the media in real time switch from Donald Trump is awful and he's a swamp creature and he's corrupt and he's compromised to, you know, it'd be great again like the old Washington parties with the schmoozing and everything.

00:26:56.000 Because basically Joe Biden is just the swamp.

00:26:58.000 And we've known this for a very long time.

00:26:59.000 He's a conventional politician going back 50 years.

00:27:02.000 He is a swamp thing.

00:27:03.000 He occupies the swamp.

00:27:05.000 And the media are celebrating this stuff because the media went from democracy dies in darkness to, you know what?

00:27:11.000 If we don't watch so closely anymore, that's okay.

00:27:13.000 Cause you know, this is just the establishment doing what the establishment does.

00:27:16.000 The Washington Post originally had a headline titled, Washington's Aristocracy hopes a Biden presidency will make schmoozing great again.

00:27:22.000 They changed that to Washington's Establishment because they realized that it sounded kind of bad.

00:27:27.000 This is from the Washington Post Lifestyle section.

00:27:29.000 Roxanne Roberts writes, Washington is exhausted.

00:27:31.000 Washington is optimistic.

00:27:32.000 Washington is desperate for change.

00:27:34.000 The aristocracy of the city is ready to move on, daring to hope that the last four years was a fever that finally broke and life can get back to normal.

00:27:40.000 Now, a lot of us are thinking to ourselves, back to normal means the same cast of liars who occupied high positions of power and in flowered and honeyed language spoke soft promises into our ears that were never fulfilled, sold out the interests of the United States to powers adverse to the interests of the United States.

00:27:59.000 And got rich in the process, right?

00:28:00.000 That's what Washington, D.C.

00:28:01.000 was before Trump got there.

00:28:03.000 Trump didn't fix all of those problems, but he did blow up a lot of the conventional wisdom that dominated, particularly in the foreign policy circles of Washington, D.C., and that was quite good because it ended with China feeling more confronted than ever.

00:28:15.000 It ended with Iran feeling boxed in.

00:28:17.000 Well, now the Washington, D.C.

00:28:19.000 establishment is happy because they're back on top.

00:28:20.000 And guess what?

00:28:21.000 The media is part of that Washington, D.C.

00:28:23.000 establishment.

00:28:23.000 Your legacy media are part of the system.

00:28:26.000 They are not sitting apart from the system and keeping an eye on the system.

00:28:29.000 They are not keeping an eagle eye on action.

00:28:31.000 You want to know how non-objective the media are.

00:28:33.000 All you have to do is not just look at their treatment of the Trump administration in a vacuum, right?

00:28:38.000 Because that's what an adversarial media looks like.

00:28:40.000 It's the fact that they stop being adversarial, the media, the minute their friends are in power.

00:28:44.000 So you get this from the Washington Post.

00:28:46.000 Normal.

00:28:47.000 They're looking back to life getting back to normal, the aristocracy of the city.

00:28:50.000 Normal, as in a respect for experience and expertise.

00:28:53.000 Normal, as in civility and bipartisan cooperation.

00:28:55.000 Normal, as in not wanting to punch someone in the face.

00:28:58.000 At the center of this hope is President-elect Biden, moderate by nature, attuned to the rhythms of the town, eager to bring people back together.

00:29:05.000 Spare me, okay?

00:29:05.000 I'm just gonna vomit until there's no more places to vomit in the studio.

00:29:08.000 It's gonna be like The Exorcist.

00:29:10.000 Let me explain.

00:29:12.000 Experience and expertise, as we'll explore with the Biden cabinet and the supposed Biden administration.

00:29:18.000 Experience and expertise means a bunch of Washington, D.C.

00:29:20.000 insiders who have been wrong on every major issue of the last three decades.

00:29:24.000 Civility and bipartisan cooperation means castigating all of your opponents as racist, up to and including Mitt Romney.

00:29:29.000 Their new best friend, Mitt Romney.

00:29:30.000 Joe Biden was saying that he wanted to re-enslave black people just eight years ago. 0.97

00:29:34.000 As far as not wanting to punch somebody in the face, you may have noticed that the people who are largely doing the punching in the face are the people who say it's time to punch Nazis and then declare that all Trump supporters are Nazis. 0.88

00:29:43.000 But it's back to normal, guys, and the media have decided that it's time to stop worrying and be happy and love the swamp.

00:29:51.000 According to the Washington Post, at the heart of this optimism is the belief that politicians on both sides of the aisle get more accomplished when they like each other.

00:29:58.000 And the other business of Washington, the cultural institutions, the diplomatic core, the gala fundraisers, the hundreds of historical traditions need bipartisanship to really thrive.

00:30:06.000 They struggled during the Trump administration when everything became a test of loyalty and the notion that good people could disagree without being disagreeable was laughable.

00:30:12.000 Again, Donald Trump did not create those conditions in Washington, D.C.

00:30:17.000 Donald Trump was the coroner of American politics.

00:30:18.000 He was not the murderer.

00:30:19.000 Bipartisanship died during the Obama era.

00:30:22.000 George W. Bush pursued No Child Left Behind.

00:30:25.000 He pursued Medicare Part D. George W. Bush actually did pursue bipartisan cooperation, and then the Democrats spat in his face from 2006 on and suggested that he was evil, nefarious Bush-Hitler who wanted to destroy the economy and murder Iraqis.

00:30:38.000 And then Obama came in and proceeded to never do a single piece of serious bipartisan legislation, not one.

00:30:44.000 You cannot name a serious piece of bipartisan legislation that Barack Obama did.

00:30:47.000 The only thing you can name that he did with Republicans was sequestration, which ended with the gutting of the American military.

00:30:53.000 That is the only major thing that Obama ever did.

00:30:56.000 And he spent his entire career castigating the other side as covert racist. 1.00

00:31:00.000 If you read his stupid autobiography, his latest 1 million page tome about how wonderful he is and how disappointed he is in you and the rest of America, The entire book is about how everybody who opposed him is either stupid or racist or both. 1.00

00:31:12.000 The Tea Party was just a bunch of racists. 1.00

00:31:12.000 Right? 1.00

00:31:14.000 And yet we're being told by Washington, we're going to go back to that normal.

00:31:17.000 That normal was a time when you all got along, don't you know?

00:31:19.000 That normal was a time when bipartisanship thrived.

00:31:22.000 If you can explain to me how bipartisanship thrived when Barack Obama literally declared he couldn't get anything done, so he was going to use a pen and a phone to overwrite his constitutional powers, then more power to you because it doesn't make any sense.

00:31:33.000 It is just you being lied to.

00:31:35.000 It's just being, it's you being lied to.

00:31:38.000 They say that they're going to bring back the White House Correspondents Dinner.

00:31:40.000 Oh, happy clapping.

00:31:42.000 The White House Correspondents Dinner is going to come back.

00:31:44.000 Yay.

00:31:45.000 Typically, a night of mutual goodwill between the administration and the press that covers it became an awkward defense of the First Amendment.

00:31:50.000 Sometimes tense when comedian Michelle Wolf eviscerated Sarah Sanders.

00:31:53.000 Well, I mean, actually, she called her ugly. 0.98

00:31:55.000 Sometimes lackluster when Ron Chernow was recruited to speak the following year.

00:31:58.000 Oh, you mean the White House Correspondents Dinner that spent its time making jokes about how wonderful Obama was and how terrible Bush was?

00:32:04.000 Oh, yeah, that.

00:32:05.000 Back to normal.

00:32:06.000 It means more state dinners, a prestigious, glamorous way of reestablishing global ties.

00:32:10.000 Oh, you mean the aristocrats are back and they get to have black tie dinners with foreign dignitaries while people in the United States can't go back to work because Democrats are locking down their cities.

00:32:19.000 Really exciting.

00:32:19.000 Good times.

00:32:21.000 It also means that Washington events traditionally attended by the President and First Lady, the Honors, the Alfalfa Dinner, the Gridiron, Ford Theater's Gala, the Correspondents' Dinner, will likely return to their former glory.

00:32:31.000 Oh, how nice!

00:32:32.000 Aren't you excited?

00:32:33.000 We're going back to normal, guys!

00:32:35.000 And normal's gonna be so awesome, because it sucked so much the first time that we elected Trump.

00:32:39.000 This is how you got Trump.

00:32:41.000 And the media's takeaway from this is, let's just go right back to it.

00:32:43.000 It was great.

00:32:44.000 The Obama era was wonderful.

00:32:45.000 We'll get to more of this because this is how Biden is staffing his cabinet as well.

00:32:49.000 If you thought that the old normal was great, then I'm sure you will enjoy a Joe Biden administration.

00:32:53.000 If you thought the old normal sucked, get ready for more of it because here it comes down the pike. 0.95

00:32:57.000 The fully corrupt, fully establishment, bad conventional wisdom. 0.65

00:33:02.000 Hang out with all of your bipartisan cronies in pursuing bigger government and violating the rights of individual Americans.

00:33:08.000 That's exciting stuff because the really important thing is that we have the veneer of nicety atop the roiling The roiling chaos of American politics.

00:33:17.000 Not that we'd be honest about our actual divisions in the country.

00:33:19.000 We can never be honest about our actual divisions. 1.00

00:33:20.000 Instead, we'll go back to a time when the President of the United States subtly suggested that everybody who opposed his big government agenda was a sick, a sick bastard. 0.99

00:33:29.000 But that'll be good because, I mean, then it'll be, you know, back to nicety. 0.99

00:33:32.000 I mean, then you'll have like Joe Biden who speaks with like a bit more flowery tone.

00:33:35.000 At least you won't have the tweets.

00:33:37.000 I mean, at least you won't have the tweets.

00:33:38.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second.

00:33:41.000 Let's talk about your sleep quality.

00:34:50.000 So it's not just that we are going to reestablish all of the wonderful swampy traditions that existed before.

00:34:56.000 Biden's cabinet is going to be full of swampy people.

00:34:59.000 CNN is particularly pumped about this.

00:35:00.000 So it's hilarious. 0.88

00:35:02.000 Donald Trump appointed a gay ambassador to Germany, Richard Grinnell. 0.95

00:35:07.000 He appointed a black secretary of housing and urban development in Ben Carson.

00:35:12.000 Donald Trump had a wide variety of people, including the first successful female campaign manager in Kellyanne Conway.

00:35:19.000 None of that was historic, right?

00:35:20.000 It's only historic when a Democrat does things.

00:35:22.000 So Biden's cabinet, his cabinet picks are all D.C.

00:35:24.000 establishment insiders who are mostly white.

00:35:26.000 They're mostly white men.

00:35:28.000 CNN declares this is very historic.

00:35:29.000 It's like John Kerry's coming back.

00:35:31.000 That's historic.

00:35:31.000 I mean, historic in the sense that John Kerry never left and he has always been around.

00:35:35.000 And Captain Easter Island head over here, he's coming back.

00:35:38.000 So are you excited about that?

00:35:39.000 CNN says it's so historic.

00:35:41.000 So much history making in the cab.

00:35:43.000 It's so tiresome. 0.96

00:35:44.000 It's so tiresome to go from Donald Trump is the font of all evil to all the people who sucked at politics for decades on end.

00:35:50.000 I mean, John Kerry has not just been wrong on every major political decision of his entire career. 0.90

00:35:55.000 He also happens to be, going all the way back to his lying testimony during the Vietnam War, a very not good person.

00:36:02.000 John Kerry is a historic figure according to CNN.

00:36:05.000 If you trust CNN, honestly, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. 0.99

00:36:09.000 And if you don't trust CNN, cut your damn cable and get Daily Wire, or go get The Blaze, or go get a subscription to some other news service because, I mean, these people are just awful. 0.97

00:36:18.000 A historic first at the Department of Homeland Security. 0.98

00:36:22.000 President-elect Biden is saying he will indeed nominate Alejandro Mayorkas.

00:36:27.000 He'll be the first immigrant and Latino, if confirmed, to serve as the head of DHS, as well as the Director of National Intelligence.

00:36:35.000 Another historic pick there, Avril Haines. 0.95

00:36:37.000 Biden has whittled down the list to former Fed Chair Janet Yellen or current Federal Reserve Governor Lael Brainard.

00:36:46.000 Now, both of these women would make a historic appointment, the first woman Treasury Secretary.

00:36:53.000 OK, so I'm just just going to point out here that there have been Hispanic people who have served in high positions in the Trump administration.

00:37:01.000 And by the way, painting Janet Yellen as historic is absurd.

00:37:05.000 I mean, Janet Yellen headed the Federal Reserve for years and years and years.

00:37:08.000 Okay, is she significantly more powerful if we appoint her the head of the Treasury Department? 1.00

00:37:13.000 It's all ridiculous.

00:37:14.000 It's all the media trying to spin Biden's victory into something transformational when really it's just a return to the bad old days. 0.91

00:37:20.000 That's all it is.

00:37:21.000 And let's face it, the bad old days, they weren't that great.

00:37:24.000 We're being told the great old days of Obama.

00:37:25.000 It was an era of bipartisanship and warmth.

00:37:27.000 No, it was an era of bipartisanship.

00:37:29.000 If by bipartisanship you mean the media got along famously with the folks in the White House who were simultaneously threatening them.

00:37:34.000 If that's what you mean by bipartisanship, then yay, good for you guys.

00:37:37.000 You can be all happy again.

00:37:39.000 It's your happy time.

00:37:40.000 I mean, you won't have Donald Trump to beat up on, so your ratings are going to decline markedly, but still, you'll have your happy day.

00:37:45.000 Your happy day, where you can just go and hang out with Joe Biden and ask him softball questions, and he can mumble his way through an answer that doesn't make any sense and start talking about corn pop, and then you can have yourself a great, great time.

00:37:56.000 So, who exactly is on Biden's team?

00:37:58.000 Who is this transformational team?

00:38:00.000 This historic, historic team?

00:38:01.000 Well, according to Politico, it's a team of careerists.

00:38:04.000 Oh, yeah, you mean all the old people. 1.00

00:38:06.000 All the people who they had, like, five minutes ago.

00:38:09.000 The most prominent appointment President-elect Joe Biden, according to Politico, has made for his new White House team is Chief of Staff Ron Klain, a longtime Biden advisor who went to Harvard Law School and won a prestigious Supreme Court clerkship.

00:38:18.000 The most prominent appointment he has made so far to his cabinet is Secretary of State-designate Antony Blinken, a longtime Biden advisor who went to Harvard as an undergrad and then moved through the Washington Foreign Policy Establishment.

00:38:29.000 How about Jake Sullivan, the choice to lead the National Security Council, a previous Biden advisor who went to Yale?

00:38:34.000 And then there's Bruce Reed, who's been talked about.

00:38:37.000 He's a veteran Biden aide.

00:38:38.000 His choice for Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, is not a longtime Biden advisor, but she served as head of the Federal Reserve throughout the entirety of the Obama administration.

00:38:46.000 So basically, he's bringing back all of these people and people are, oh, wow, it's transformational, isn't it?

00:38:50.000 Because your media lie to you. 1.00

00:38:52.000 They are damned liars. 1.00

00:38:53.000 And all they do all day long is talk about how everything is swampy when Trump is running the place. 1.00

00:38:58.000 But then the actual swamp rushes back in with all the attendant muck.

00:39:01.000 And they're like, oh, it's transformational.

00:39:03.000 And it's also a return to normalcy.

00:39:05.000 Amazing.

00:39:06.000 Amazing.

00:39:06.000 OK, so let's go through some of the people that that Biden has now selected for his cabinet.

00:39:11.000 So some of the people that Biden has selected for his cabinet, it is basically the same old faces who blew it the first time around, who sucked at their jobs the first time around. 0.97

00:39:20.000 OK, Antony Blinken, he's better than Susan Rice because a bag of flaming hot dog crap is better than Susan Rice would be as Secretary of State. 0.97

00:39:27.000 I mean, Susan Rice lied repeatedly to the American people about Benghazi. 0.98

00:39:31.000 She happened to be radically anti-Israel.

00:39:32.000 She's been wrong on every major foreign policy issue, and she has scorned for half the American population. 0.70

00:39:36.000 Antony Blinken isn't that.

00:39:38.000 But that's kind of what you can say about Antony Blinken.

00:39:40.000 I mean, that's kind of like the whole thing.

00:39:42.000 So Antony Blinken has been wrong about a wide variety of issues.

00:39:44.000 He was wrong on Iran, for example.

00:39:46.000 This is all the conventional wisdom just returning.

00:39:48.000 It's all just the conventional, like, he's a very articulate guy, Antony Blinken.

00:39:51.000 He served again in the, he served again in the Obama administration and with Joe Biden in the Senate.

00:39:58.000 And everything that he has said is conventional wisdom nonsense.

00:40:00.000 It's just not true.

00:40:01.000 See, the thing about the Trump administration is the one area where they were actually the best is in foreign policy.

00:40:05.000 They didn't start any new wars.

00:40:07.000 They boxed Iran in. 0.99

00:40:08.000 They helped form actual Middle Eastern peace deals.

00:40:12.000 They helped box China in. 1.00

00:40:15.000 They did a bunch of things on foreign policy that were actually quite good.

00:40:18.000 But the conventional foreign policy wisdom is going to rush back in because no need to actually examine the new evidence.

00:40:23.000 They had to be right all along.

00:40:24.000 And we know they're right all along because they are the conventional wisdom.

00:40:27.000 I mean, they wouldn't be called the conventional wisdom if they weren't wise, right?

00:40:31.000 I mean, Antony Blinken in 2012 spoke at the J Street conference.

00:40:33.000 J Street is a radically anti-Israel group opposing as a pro-Israel group simply so that Democrats can pretend they're pro-Israel by speaking to J Street, which again has opposed every element of Israeli security since its inception.

00:40:44.000 It was specifically created as a counter to AIPAC because the Democrats thought that AIPAC was It was also conventional wisdom. 0.98

00:40:49.000 this bull crap group of people who really don't like Israel very much. So Blinken spoke to them and he suggested that Israelis and Palestinians could only make peace if they actually started making peace agreements between themselves. The Arabs would never make peace without the Israelis making peace with the Palestinians. That of course was absolutely false. It was also conventional wisdom. It was absolutely false. Blinken in 2017 was still maintaining the Iran deal was absolutely fantastic. Even though Iran has spent

00:41:17.000 the better part of all of its time since the Iran deal fostering terrorism. 0.79

00:41:21.000 And it was only the renewed sanctions against Iran that undercut its economy and helped create the impetus for an alliance in the Middle East between Arab states and Israel, including Saudi Arabia.

00:41:30.000 Benjamin Netanyahu went and visited Saudi Arabia yesterday.

00:41:32.000 Here's Antony Blinken being absolutely wrong about the Iran deal.

00:41:36.000 If you ask the Israeli military or intelligence community today whether we should pull out of the deal, you will get a resounding no.

00:41:45.000 And in fact, many of them have acknowledged to us, some will actually say this publicly, others won't, that it has removed a significant concern for them, at least far into the future. 0.95

00:41:55.000 Everything we've seen and our intelligence community has seen and has said publicly is that the overwhelming bulk of the proceeds that they've managed to get back have gone into the economy, not He's just saying absolute crap. 0.89

00:42:07.000 And this guy's going to be secretary of state. 0.96

00:42:09.000 The Israelis hated the Iran deal.

00:42:10.000 They hate it.

00:42:11.000 Benjamin Netanyahu came to the United States to lobby against the Iran deal.

00:42:15.000 And Obama showed him the back door of the White House.

00:42:16.000 So that guy who's complicit in that entire process, he's like, oh, I'm back.

00:42:20.000 And I'm here with my conventional wisdom that was completely debunked by subsequent events.

00:42:23.000 But don't worry, I haven't changed my opinions at all.

00:42:25.000 By the way, I love how he's like, well, you know, most of that money went back to the economy, not to terrorism.

00:42:30.000 Most of the money?

00:42:31.000 How about the billions that did not go back into the economy, but instead were used to foster regional terrorism?

00:42:37.000 Apparently that doesn't matter.

00:42:39.000 Okay, he's not the only one in the new Biden cabinet who is pushing failed conventional wisdom, particularly on Iran.

00:42:45.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second.

00:42:47.000 First, let us talk about some bad news.

00:44:47.000 Also, I sang bizarre songs and did weird impressions.

00:44:49.000 You also get two leftist years tumblers, early access to our Daily Wire merch, and daily discussions with our writers and special guests as well.

00:44:55.000 We're also continuing to add new features and products, like the entire PragerU library that is currently being added to the website and Content from Candace Owens, who's joining us next year with a brand new show.

00:45:05.000 Needless to say, we are pretty excited about this year's deal.

00:45:07.000 You will not want to miss it.

00:45:08.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:45:11.000 Okay, so the establishment is back in with its conventional wisdom like Iran is great and the Iran deal is great and the Israelis will never be able to make peace with the Arab states without the Palestinians being involved. 0.98

00:45:25.000 All of it was wrong.

00:45:26.000 All of it was wrong.

00:45:27.000 You also had Tony Blinken, circa 2017, talking at Goldman Sachs, which shows you how establishment insidery the entire Biden team is, saying we should have done more militarily in Syria.

00:45:35.000 Yeah, that would have been a great idea, is to dump more American troops into Syria. 0.98

00:45:39.000 Those of us involved in the diplomacy at various points thought that it might make a difference if we showed a little bit of muscle as a way of leveraging the diplomacy.

00:45:50.000 And there are various things that we thought about that I couldn't tell you today whether they in fact would have made a difference.

00:45:56.000 But at the time we thought they would be worth trying.

00:46:00.000 The military was very concerned, understandably, about getting into a slippery slope.

00:46:03.000 Okay, just a quick point here.

00:46:05.000 Donald Trump was decried by the left as a warmonger.

00:46:07.000 He didn't start a new war.

00:46:08.000 Because Tony Blinken says things like, leverage, and we're going to leverage diplomacy using other assets, which is code for we're going to bomb places and kill people, then we're supposed to believe that he's actually like a nice guy.

00:46:19.000 Because Democrats are nice people while they're droning people and bombing places and launching unconstitutional wars in Libya.

00:46:24.000 And so that's exciting.

00:46:24.000 We got that whole team coming up.

00:46:25.000 By the way, Obama has already said that he's very excited about this new team.

00:46:28.000 You know who's back also is John Kerry.

00:46:30.000 John Kerry.

00:46:31.000 I mean, I'm excited because I get to do my John Kerry impersonation again.

00:46:34.000 So that's good. 0.99

00:46:35.000 I thought that that sucker was going to die in 2004. 0.98

00:46:37.000 And that's been around a subsequent 16 years. 0.99

00:46:39.000 So John Kerry is back.

00:46:42.000 He's back and he's worse than ever.

00:46:44.000 He's going to be the new climate czar.

00:46:48.000 Which is exciting.

00:46:49.000 It means he gets to stay at, as Tom Cotton says, he gets to stay at wonderful luxury hotels while negotiating deals that are bad for America.

00:46:56.000 That's accurate.

00:46:57.000 John Kerry was the architect of the crappy Iran deal.

00:46:59.000 He then proceeded to become a PR flak for the nation of Iran, and more importantly for the mullahs that rule Iran, suggesting that their pursuit of terrorism in the region was really no big deal.

00:47:09.000 John Kerry, wrong about every major issue of his entire lifetime.

00:47:13.000 Here was John Kerry suggesting just a few years ago that peace in the Middle East would literally be impossible if Israel did not make concessions to the Palestinians.

00:47:19.000 Here he was being as wrong as a human being can be.

00:47:21.000 But don't worry, the good news is that if you are a member of the government, you always just keep failing up.

00:47:27.000 If you suck at something, you will end up as president one day because you will just keep failing up.

00:47:30.000 Joe Biden is proof of this. 0.98

00:47:31.000 Here is John Kerry, who nearly became president There will be no separate peace between Israel and the Arab world.

00:47:36.000 Here he was being totally wrong about everything.

00:47:38.000 Good news, he's got a new slot where he gets to talk about climate change, presumably making the American economy worse to no apparent effect.

00:47:45.000 There will be no separate peace between Israel and the Arab world.

00:47:51.000 I want to make that very clear to all of you.

00:47:54.000 I've heard several prominent politicians in Israel sometimes saying, well, the Arab world's in a different place now.

00:48:02.000 We just have to reach out to them and we can work some things with the Arab world and we'll deal with the Palestinians. 1.00

00:48:07.000 No, no, no, and no.

00:48:10.000 There will be no advance and separate peace with the Arab world without the Palestinian process and Palestinian peace. 0.68

00:48:18.000 Everybody needs to understand that.

00:48:20.000 Everybody needs to understand that.

00:48:22.000 Everybody needs to- I know what I'm talking about because I'm wearing my glasses very far down on my nose.

00:48:28.000 Which means I know what I'm saying. 1.00

00:48:30.000 That guy is a- You moron. 1.00

00:48:32.000 He is the stupidest person in American foreign policy, and he's going to be in charge of America's climate change policy, which already is rife with stupidity and a complete disconnect between actual meaningful action on climate change and what Democrats are talking about. 1.00

00:48:44.000 Paris agreements don't do a bleeps worth, okay? 1.00

00:48:48.000 They are not worth anything.

00:48:49.000 The Paris agreements are worthless.

00:48:51.000 They are counterproductive.

00:48:53.000 I've talked at length about actual things you could do in order to fight climate change.

00:48:56.000 You could do adaptation.

00:48:57.000 You could be building infrastructure.

00:48:59.000 You could be investing in technologies that help suck the carbon out. 1.00

00:49:01.000 There's all sorts of stuff you can do, but you put that moron in charge. 1.00

00:49:04.000 That's good news. 0.99

00:49:05.000 Also, President Biden is bringing President-elect Biden, as they are now designating him.

00:49:09.000 He is not formally President-elect yet.

00:49:11.000 He plans to nominate Janet Yellen, former Federal Reserve Chairwoman.

00:49:14.000 She's transformational too, except for the fact that she was the Federal Reserve Chairwoman for years and years and years and years.

00:49:19.000 Her basic philosophy is that you keep pumping money into the economy until you get unemployment down. 0.99

00:49:26.000 She's also not super warm on capitalism.

00:49:28.000 Here's what she said recently, there really is a new kind of recognition.

00:49:31.000 You've got a society where capitalism is beginning to run amok and needs to be readjusted in order to make sure that what we're doing is sustainable and the benefits of growth are widely shared in ways they haven't been.

00:49:39.000 Oh, goody.

00:49:40.000 So we can use monetary policy in order to achieve political goals Democrats couldn't otherwise achieve.

00:49:45.000 Okay, and it doesn't, the cabinet doesn't stop there.

00:49:48.000 Are you guys ready for more?

00:49:49.000 Excellent stuff!

00:49:50.000 Alejandro Mallorca, a former Deputy Homeland Security Secretary, is now going to lead the Homeland Security Department.

00:49:56.000 Now, that's not really a particularly big deal.

00:49:59.000 He would take the lead on enforcing immigration and border law, also providing a coordinated response to terrorism, maritime, aviation, and cyber security threats.

00:50:06.000 He's supposed to be a stabilizing force inside the Biden administration.

00:50:09.000 There's only one problem, which is that he has faced barriers and a path to confirmation before.

00:50:13.000 After he was nominated to serve as Deputy Homeland Security Secretary, the department's inspector general investigated him for intervening to help expedite visa reviews for foreign investors.

00:50:22.000 while leading the U.S.

00:50:22.000 Citizenship and Immigration Services.

00:50:24.000 He was found not to have broken the law, but the Inspector General released a report in 2015 that found he managed cases for EB-5 visas in a way that led employees to believe he was giving special consideration to investors aligned with Democrats.

00:50:36.000 Ah, the swamp is back and better than ever!

00:50:38.000 How exciting!

00:50:40.000 Woo! 0.99

00:50:40.000 Okay, so, the establishment is back. 0.99

00:50:44.000 That is the bottom line here.

00:50:45.000 And, uh, it's ugly.

00:50:47.000 It's ugly.

00:50:48.000 I mean, Jake Sullivan is back.

00:50:50.000 Jake Sullivan, again, a former deputy NSA guy under Barack Obama, and he was a Hillary Clinton acolyte.

00:50:57.000 He helped run her campaign.

00:50:58.000 And here he was suggesting that Trump created the Iranian crisis and that Iran was so much better before Donald Trump got involved, which neglects the fact that Iran was killing American soldiers in the field while Barack Obama was president of the United States.

00:51:12.000 Here's Jake Sullivan sucking at his job, but don't worry, he's back too.

00:51:16.000 We are in the midst of a crisis with Iran today because Donald Trump decided to tear up the Iran nuclear deal, to walk away from the agreement.

00:51:24.000 Now he went out and said it's because of the deal that we're in this crisis, when in fact it's exactly the opposite.

00:51:29.000 Donald Trump has spent the last three years trashing Our NATO allies telling the rest of the world that they can basically go take a hike.

00:51:37.000 And now those very same allies and partners are putting out statements where they're calling on both Iran and the United States to de-escalate, where they're saying a pox on both your houses, where they're basically putting Iran and the United States on the same plane.

00:51:52.000 Okay, so are you, dude!

00:51:54.000 Okay, again, this is the new Biden cabinet, same as the old Biden cabinet.

00:51:58.000 I hope that you've enjoyed this.

00:51:59.000 I hope you enjoyed that four-year interregnum between the continuing rule of the American aristocracy of wrongness, between new Secretary of State Tony Blinken, who again has been wrong on every major issue, pushed the Iran deal, pushed softness on China, between John Kerry, who is back and worse than ever.

00:52:16.000 He's going to be heading up the climate change Nonsense.

00:52:19.000 You got Janet Yellen for Treasury Secretary, who has been suggesting that the Federal Reserve should be buying long-term bonds and mortgage-backed securities to prop up the market, and has suggested her antipathy to certain elements of what she calls kind of dog-eat-dog capitalism.

00:52:34.000 You've got Alejandro Mayorkas for Department of Homeland Security, who of course was investigated for the possibility of engaging in EB-5 immigration form fraud in order to benefit democratic donors.

00:52:45.000 It turned out that he did not violate the law according to the investigation, but he did provide the appearance of violating the law.

00:52:51.000 You got Jake Sullivan for NSA, former Hillary Clinton guy.

00:52:54.000 That's exciting.

00:52:55.000 And just to spice things up, just to spice things up a little bit, Joe Biden is also adding a person named Rima Dodin, as well as Shuan Zagaf, they were each named.

00:53:05.000 named Deputy Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs.

00:53:07.000 Dodin currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff and Floor Director for Senator Dick Durbin, the Assistant Minority Leader.

00:53:12.000 So she's historic because she was born to Arab-Israeli immigrants in North Carolina.

00:53:16.000 She's also historic because she is incredibly radical.

00:53:20.000 It turns out that in 2002, she justified suicide bombings as, quote, the last resort of a desperate people, talking about Palestinian suicide bombings.

00:53:27.000 This is according to Israel 365 News.

00:53:29.000 One year earlier, she took part in a demonstration at UC Berkeley, calling for the university to divest from Israel, according to the Berkeley Daily Planet.

00:53:36.000 At that demonstration, protesters compared Israel to apartheid South Africa.

00:53:41.000 She's in regular contact with the Radical Council on American Islamic Relations.

00:53:45.000 So that is exciting stuff.

00:53:48.000 Really, really good stuff.

00:53:49.000 Meanwhile, by the way, the radicals in the Democratic Party are displeased because there are so many establishment members of the Democratic Party.

00:53:54.000 So the battle has just begun over there.

00:53:56.000 The radicals in the Democratic Party are very upset because they wanted more radicals.

00:54:00.000 So Rashida Tlaib, who ain't a friend of the Jews, you may have noticed, she tweeted out that she was deeply, deeply unhappy.

00:54:07.000 Why?

00:54:08.000 Because Tony Blinken might be too pro-Israel, which is absurd, okay?

00:54:11.000 Tony Blinken is not an extremely pro-Israel guy.

00:54:14.000 He is like mainstream democratic party, which means ambivalent about Israel at this point.

00:54:18.000 That did not stop Rashida Tlaib from tweeting, so long as he doesn't suppress my First Amendment right to speak out against Netanyahu's racist and inhumane policies, the Palestinian people deserve equality and justice.

00:54:28.000 I wonder why she would tweet that about Tony Blinken.

00:54:30.000 I can't imagine why she would tweet that about Tony Blinken.

00:54:33.000 By the way, Susan Rice endorsed Tony Blinken.

00:54:36.000 So the team is back together, gang.

00:54:38.000 So if you enjoyed the team, get ready for more of the team.

00:54:42.000 And we're going to go back to the way that politics used to run in Washington, D.C., which is super exciting as well.

00:54:47.000 It's not just that the old team is back.

00:54:48.000 It's that we're going to get the same sort of corporatism that dominated Washington, D.C.

00:54:52.000 for a while there.

00:54:53.000 So one of the great lies about America's corporations that America's corporations are free market loving entities.

00:54:58.000 That is not right.

00:54:59.000 Corporations are profit seeking.

00:55:00.000 That is not the same thing as free market loving.

00:55:02.000 There are many corporations that will take government subsidies.

00:55:04.000 There are many corporations that in fact seek regulatory control.

00:55:07.000 They engage in what's called regulatory capture where they help write the rules along with their buddies inside the government.

00:55:12.000 Well now GM is demonstrating That it is ready to play ball with the Biden administration?

00:55:18.000 GM, according to Reuters, said on Monday it was reversing course and will no longer back the Trump administration's efforts to bar California from setting its own emissions rules in an ongoing court fight.

00:55:26.000 GM Chief Executive Mary Barra said in a letter to environmental groups it was, quote, immediately withdrawing from the preemptive, the preemption litigation and inviting other lawmakers, automakers to join us.

00:55:36.000 Why, it's almost as though they are attempting to get a pat on the head from Joe Biden and company.

00:55:40.000 Yes, corporations seeking special benefits from the federal government.

00:55:43.000 If you enjoyed that when Obama was president, then you get it again.

00:55:46.000 Woo! 0.99

00:55:47.000 So much fun!

00:55:49.000 The dramatic rejection of Trump came as GM sought to work with President-elect Joe Biden, who has made boosting electric vehicles a top priority.

00:55:56.000 The Detroit automaker has laid out an ambitious strategy to boost EV sales.

00:55:59.000 Last week said it will increase spending on EVs and autonomous vehicles by 35% from previous disclosed plans.

00:56:04.000 The announcement reflects corporate America's move to engage quickly with the incoming Democratic administration.

00:56:10.000 In October 2019, GM had joined Toyota, Fiat, and other automakers in backing the Trump administration because California is trying to set its own statewide fuel efficiency rules and zero emissions requirements.

00:56:22.000 The Trump administration said, hold up.

00:56:24.000 Federal preemption applies here.

00:56:25.000 We have federal laws that set the emission standards.

00:56:27.000 You can't make your own emission standards above and beyond that.

00:56:30.000 The automakers are like, yeah, that makes sense.

00:56:33.000 Presumably they wanted to compete in a freer, less regulated market.

00:56:35.000 Now they see the possibility of regulation coming down the pike and they're like, we'll work with you guys.

00:56:39.000 We'll work with you guys.

00:56:40.000 So it's going to be fun to watch the swamp reconstituted.

00:56:43.000 That is, that is excellent stuff.

00:56:45.000 Really, really excellent.

00:56:46.000 Okay. 0.79

00:56:46.000 Meanwhile, COVID continues to wash across the land and the hypocrisy of Democrats continues to be demonstrated full scale. 0.79

00:56:53.000 So first of all, let me just point out here that the media are garbage once more. 1.00

00:56:58.000 So when it comes to COVID, the media are just absolute horse crap garbage. 1.00

00:57:02.000 Let me give you an example. 0.98

00:57:03.000 So, CNN has a piece today titled, The number of COVID-19 cases reported each week in Florida has tripled since the state reopened.

00:57:11.000 According to CNN, since Governor Ron DeSantis reopened Florida in late September, the number of reported COVID-19 cases per week in the state has tripled.

00:57:18.000 On September 25th, DeSantis signed an executive order reopening the state, freeing restaurants and bars to operate at 100% capacity.

00:57:25.000 In the week leading up to the order, Florida reported more than 17,000 new cases.

00:57:29.000 In the past seven days, the state has reported more than 53,000, meaning three times more Floridians have tested positive in the past week than in the week before the reopening.

00:57:37.000 See, Florida's really, really bad, according to the geniuses over at CNN.

00:57:41.000 I mean, truly horrific, according to the geniuses over at CNN.

00:57:44.000 There is only one problem with this particular take.

00:57:47.000 If you look at how other states in the United States are doing, and they didn't do the reopening orders, you know what they're seeing, guys.

00:57:53.000 You know what they're seeing?

00:57:54.000 They are seeing a surge!

00:57:56.000 You would have known that.

00:57:57.000 No, that's a shocker.

00:57:58.000 I can't believe it.

00:57:59.000 In fact, let me read you the number of total cases per one million population.

00:58:09.000 Total cases per one million population at current.

00:58:14.000 Florida does not rank It's just, in terms of per 100,000 population, how many new cases they have?

00:58:21.000 Not particularly high, because they have a very, very large population.

00:58:24.000 Also, New York totally shut down, right?

00:58:27.000 New York has seen a massive increase in the number of diagnosed cases week on week.

00:58:32.000 I'll just take a random day.

00:58:33.000 October 8th, they had about 2,000 diagnosed cases in New York.

00:58:36.000 Yesterday, they had 6,000 diagnosed cases in New York.

00:58:39.000 Wait, three times as many cases in a single day as they had just a month and a half ago. 0.99

00:58:44.000 Why, it's almost as though COVID is hitting everybody and CNN is absolutely and completely full of crap. 0.99

00:58:50.000 No, I can't believe it. 0.99

00:58:52.000 Who would... No, no, that can't be the case.

00:58:56.000 The bizarre nature of the media covering this stuff is that Republicans are always bad and Democrats are always good.

00:59:02.000 New York cases have multiplied times five on a daily basis since September.

00:59:06.000 I just gave you an October number, it was even lower in September.

00:59:09.000 But don't worry, Democrats know what to do.

00:59:11.000 They are setting new rules and it's exciting stuff. 0.98

00:59:13.000 So, Andrew Cuomo, the idiot governor of New York, who's presided over one of the worst death per million rates in the nation, He said yesterday that officers must enforce COVID-19 laws. 0.98

00:59:24.000 In fact, if you don't enforce a COVID-19 law and you're an officer and you refuse to do it, you're a dictator. 0.99

00:59:28.000 So I think he doesn't understand a language that we call English, where dictators are people like, I don't know, who declare randomly that we should completely shut down an entire state's school district for no apparent reason.

00:59:40.000 That seems more dictatorial than an officer saying, I'm not going to enforce mandates that seem to me to violate individual liberties.

00:59:45.000 Nonetheless, according to Andrew Cuomo, it's the officers who are the dictators.

00:59:50.000 I believe that law enforcement officer violates his or her constitutional duty.

00:59:57.000 I don't consider them a law enforcement officer.

01:00:00.000 Because you don't have the right to pick laws that you think you will enforce and you don't enforce laws that you don't agree with.

01:00:11.000 Right?

01:00:12.000 That's not a law enforcement officer.

01:00:15.000 That's a dictator.

01:00:17.000 A dictator is the person who decides he doesn't want to enforce particular... Somebody should talk to Barack Obama about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

01:00:23.000 I'm old enough to remember when that guy declared that he could simply disregard immigration law because he was a magical, magical man, and he could use his pen and his phone to magically change law.

01:00:31.000 Andrew Cuomo might want to talk to that guy about selective enforcement of law.

01:00:35.000 Also, the good news for Andrew Cuomo is the rules don't apply to him.

01:00:37.000 So, he announced, actually, on Monday, that he would be spending Thanksgiving with his 89-year-old mother and his two daughters.

01:00:45.000 Here he was yesterday.

01:00:45.000 That was exciting stuff.

01:00:47.000 The story is my mom is going to come up and two of my girls is the current plan. 1.00

01:00:57.000 But the plans change.

01:01:01.000 But that's my plan.

01:01:03.000 That was his plan.

01:01:04.000 You see, so he said, you can't have Thanksgiving with your family.

01:01:07.000 You are one of the common folk.

01:01:08.000 No Thanksgiving with your family.

01:01:10.000 But you know who can have Thanksgiving with his 89 year old mother and his two daughters?

01:01:13.000 Wait, you know what I was told?

01:01:14.000 I was told the intergenerational dinners.

01:01:17.000 that are filled with people eating turkey in a closed room?

01:01:20.000 That's a bad idea.

01:01:21.000 So he's got his 89-year-old mom and his two daughters, who last I checked, I believe are in their 20s, and they're all in the same room together, and they're sharing dinner.

01:01:28.000 Isn't that nice?

01:01:28.000 He's having a Thanksgiving, guys.

01:01:30.000 We can't begrudge him. 0.95

01:01:31.000 I mean, he's been working hard at killing all the old folks in the state. 1.00

01:01:34.000 He's been working super hard at writing a book about how wonderful he is while people die.

01:01:38.000 He won an Emmy.

01:01:39.000 We cannot begrudge him his Thanksgiving dinner.

01:01:41.000 These standards do not apply to Andrew Cuomo.

01:01:44.000 Okay, so he now revised that.

01:01:46.000 Later in the day, his office issued a statement clarifying the plans have changed.

01:01:49.000 His senior advisor, rich as a party, told the Wall Street Journal, given the current circumstances with COVID, Cuomo will have to work through Thanksgiving.

01:01:55.000 Oh, isn't that nice?

01:01:56.000 Isn't that nice?

01:01:57.000 By the way, he said on Sunday, quote, next Thanksgiving, you'll ask yourself, did I do everything I could to keep my community safe?

01:02:03.000 The rules don't apply if you are a special.

01:02:05.000 If you are a special, the rules simply do not apply to you.

01:02:08.000 It's really exciting stuff.

01:02:11.000 That's really, really nice.

01:02:12.000 And that, I mean, if you're Andrew Cuomo, you just can do whatever the hell you want.

01:02:14.000 It's pretty great. 0.97

01:02:15.000 If you're one of the commoners, however, you just get boned.

01:02:17.000 If you're one of the commoners, then they can do whatever they want to you.

01:02:20.000 So if you are an LA restaurant owner, then the entire state of California can be shut down for you.

01:02:25.000 But!

01:02:26.000 Governor Gavin Newsom in California, that dude can still go to the French Laundry for a $20,000 dinner, 400 bucks a plate, 22 people there, including the heads of the California Medical Association.

01:02:34.000 You can eat in close contact and no masks.

01:02:36.000 But if you own a restaurant in L.A.

01:02:38.000 County, you can lose your livelihood because you're not one of the specials.

01:02:40.000 I mean, let's face it, there are the specials and the not-so-specials.

01:02:43.000 If you're an elected Democrat, you're a member of the special cadre.

01:02:45.000 If you're not an elected Democrat, you have no capacity to exercise your reason.

01:02:49.000 And so the specials will decide for you.

01:02:50.000 Here was an L.A.

01:02:51.000 restaurant owner yesterday saying, these restrictions are going to literally destroy us.

01:02:55.000 The biggest toll is going to, we're going to have to lay off the people that we just brought back, or we're going to have to furlough them, likely, as we downsize to a takeout only, which, you know, requires less kitchen, less front of house staff.

01:03:06.000 So it's, this influx is just, it's about to break us all. 1.00

01:03:11.000 OK, so we don't care about him, though.

01:03:12.000 I mean, he's not a special guy.

01:03:14.000 I mean, does he look special to you?

01:03:15.000 I don't know if he's special. 1.00

01:03:16.000 I mean, he's wearing a mask, which means he's better than like stupid Republicans. 1.00

01:03:19.000 But but he's he's not special. 1.00

01:03:21.000 He owns a business.

01:03:21.000 We know people who own businesses are not special.

01:03:23.000 Only people who are elected in order to spend other people's money and make crappy rules.

01:03:27.000 Those people are the specials.

01:03:30.000 I also will say that many of these rules make no sense at all, obviously.

01:03:34.000 So Pennsylvania has now banned the sale of alcohol at bars and restaurants ahead of Thanksgiving.

01:03:38.000 The administration of Democratic Governor Tom Wolf announced Monday alcohol will be barred from being sold at restaurants and bars in Pennsylvania from Wednesday evening until Thanksgiving morning.

01:03:46.000 An apparent edict intended to slow the spread of the China-originated novel coronavirus, this is according to DailyWire.com.

01:03:52.000 And Amanda Prestigiacomo reporting.

01:03:55.000 Dr. Rachel Levine, the Secretary of Health for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, most famous for suggesting that nursing homes were safe, only to remove mommy from a nursing home in the middle of the pandemic early on.

01:04:06.000 Dr. Levine said, on Wednesday, November 25th, restaurants and bars are ordered to suspend alcohol sales at 5 p.m.

01:04:11.000 until 8 a.m.

01:04:12.000 on Thursday, November 26th.

01:04:13.000 That's definitely going to stop this thing.

01:04:16.000 As we all know, it is really the alcohol sales that are doing it.

01:04:20.000 COVID does not apply so long as you're... It's a very prudish virus.

01:04:24.000 It's both woke and prudish, which is a weird combo.

01:04:27.000 So it'll only apparently hit you if you are a Republican or an Orthodox Jew.

01:04:32.000 And also you can avoid it by not drinking alcohol.

01:04:34.000 So that's exciting stuff.

01:04:35.000 So I guess that Mormons are going to do okay with COVID is kind of the implication here. 0.99

01:04:40.000 So that's exciting stuff.

01:04:43.000 There are also new mitigation measures in Pennsylvania, including targeted protections for businesses and gatherings.

01:04:47.000 Orders already in place, and those announced today, will be enforced.

01:04:50.000 Law enforcement and state agencies will be stepping up enforcement efforts, issuing citations and fines, and possible regulatory actions for repeat offenders.

01:04:59.000 So that is just excellent.

01:05:00.000 Small business transaction data collected by software and business services provider Womply show about one in five businesses open in January have stopped transacting entirely, according to the Wall Street Journal last month.

01:05:09.000 Most of them have likely closed for good.

01:05:12.000 But again, the good news is that, you know, if you're special, then probably you can ignore all of this.

01:05:18.000 And meanwhile, I have to say the generalized perception that is put forth on COVID policy, the generalized line on COVID policy is so backwards.

01:05:26.000 So Larry Hogan, the governor of Maryland, who is a Republican governor, I think that he has done a fairly good job as governor of Maryland, but he said yesterday something completely insane.

01:05:37.000 He said that there is no constitutional right to walk around without a mask and that it's the equivalent of drunk driving.

01:05:43.000 Here was Governor Hogan.

01:05:45.000 Well, it's sort of like saying I have a constitutional right to drive drunk.

01:05:51.000 I have a constitutional right to not wear a seatbelt or to yell fire in a crowded movie theater.

01:05:57.000 Or to not follow the speed limit.

01:06:00.000 Which part don't you understand?

01:06:02.000 You wear the mask.

01:06:02.000 There's no constitutional right to walk around without a mask.

01:06:07.000 So a couple of things.

01:06:08.000 It is not like drunk driving.

01:06:09.000 If you're walking around without a mask and you are not symptomatic and you are not known to have this thing, it's like driving around sober.

01:06:14.000 And now if you get close to other people and you breathe on them, that is a different thing.

01:06:18.000 But walking around without a mask, there is in fact a constitutional right to walk around without a mask.

01:06:24.000 It is just that at all times in all places there are public health exceptions to constitutional rights.

01:06:28.000 This happens all the time.

01:06:30.000 There is a right to freedom of assembly, for example.

01:06:32.000 There is a constitutional right to freedom of assembly.

01:06:34.000 But there can be time, place, and manner regulations that prevent that from becoming a public health threat, for example.

01:06:39.000 To suggest that there is no actual right to walk around without a mask is to suggest that it's an argument that proves too much.

01:06:45.000 It's to suggest the government has at any time and for any reason the ability to tell you to put on a mask.

01:06:50.000 So by that standard, The standard that if you are walking around and you have the possibility of making anybody else sick, no matter how remote or no matter what the disease, we can tell you to put on a mask full time.

01:06:59.000 I'm wondering, how do you put that genie back in the bottle?

01:07:02.000 At what point do we all stop wearing the masks?

01:07:04.000 Now, my presumption has been that we're basically going to be wearing masks in close quarters until the wide adoption of the vaccine.

01:07:10.000 Presumably March and April.

01:07:12.000 And that's okay.

01:07:12.000 We can go back to our regular lives in March and April.

01:07:15.000 And before then, we can go back to quasi-normal by going to work, socially distancing, wearing masks in close quarters with others.

01:07:21.000 But the baseline notion that the government has the right under all circumstances to tell you what to do with cloth on your face seems wild to me.

01:07:29.000 Crazy to me.

01:07:30.000 Especially when they're not abiding by their own rules.

01:07:33.000 This is gone beyond the point of reason, especially with regard to a virus that in certain areas is not actually threatening the healthcare capacity of the state.

01:07:43.000 The healthcare capacity of Florida, which is being ripped up and down, Florida, right?

01:07:47.000 Ron DeSantis is a bad guy?

01:07:48.000 There is not an overwhelming of the healthcare system in Florida.

01:07:50.000 I'm talking to doctors every day who are working in ERs.

01:07:53.000 There is not an overwhelming of the healthcare system.

01:07:55.000 I talked to an emergency room nurse just a couple of days ago.

01:07:57.000 She said, it's getting worse than it was a month ago, but it's not nearly what it was, you know, during the summer when we had this vast uptick in Florida, for example.

01:08:05.000 Nonetheless, there's this basic idea that is constantly being promoted by the media, and that is that government is the solution to all ills.

01:08:13.000 Simply by interpolating particular regulations, they can stop things.

01:08:18.000 Simply by ordering you to wear a mask, all problems will be solved. 0.99

01:08:21.000 And if you refuse to comply with the ultimate power of government, it's because you are stupid, or because you are bad, or because you rely too much on individual freedom. 0.99

01:08:29.000 Well, if you don't rely enough on individual freedom, I would say that is significantly more of a problem. 0.98

01:08:33.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here later today with two additional hours of content.
