00:01:30.000 Well, this is hilarious news out of my old home state of California.

00:01:34.000 I abandoned California to its own predations just a couple of years ago and moved to a much better state in Florida.

00:01:40.000 But it seems that even in California, where the liberals roam free, even the liberals are occasionally mugged by reality.

00:01:46.000 And that is precisely what happened last night in San Francisco.

00:01:49.000 According to the Daily Wire, San Francisco voters sent shockwaves throughout the political world on Tuesday night, removing Woke District Attorney Chase Bowden from office, ending his disastrous tenure in office.

00:01:58.000 Bowden could not overcome a coalition of more safety-minded Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who were furious over the rampant property crimes, open drug use, persistent retail theft, and skyrocketing number of certain crimes.

00:02:07.000 Voters strongly endorsed ousting the reform-minded DA, as partial returns showed about 60% of voters supporting the recall, according to the Wall Street Journal.

00:02:14.000 Since Bowden took office in January 2020, burglaries are up 45%, homicides are up 37%.

00:02:21.000 Bowden was backed by George Soros, of course, who has backed far-left prosecutors all over America.

00:02:27.000 And Bowden claimed that the embarrassing defeat was a victory saying, quote, we have already won because we've redefined the way people think about the role of the district attorney's office.

00:02:33.000 Well, you certainly did that because it turns out that when you redefine prosecutor to mean just let people do whatever they want to do, criminally speaking, people don't like that.

00:02:42.000 Even in San Francisco, the only people, if you look at the precinct by precinct breakdown in San Francisco, the only places that voted in favor of retaining Chase Bowden, Who again is the woke district attorney who basically decided not to prosecute any crime at all, particularly when it came to things like homelessness or when it came to robbing retail establishments.

00:03:01.000 Which all bled up into higher-level crimes.

00:03:03.000 He had feces on every street corner and heroin needles in every park.

00:03:07.000 And people basically just walking into the local CVS, ripping open the razor cabinet and pulling everything off the shelves into bags and just walking right up.

00:03:16.000 Because of Chasey Bowden, pretty much the only places in San Francisco that voted in favor of retaining Chasey Bowden were white, woke, liberal precincts.

00:03:23.000 That's it.

00:03:24.000 Every other place.

00:03:25.000 Minority precincts. 0.97

00:03:26.000 Black. 0.93

00:03:26.000 Hispanic. 0.93

00:03:27.000 Asian. 0.99

00:03:28.000 Everybody hates this guy and they wanted him gone.

00:03:30.000 Which suggests that the Democratic Party is in a world of hurt because they have always counted on the San Francisco coalition going national.

00:03:37.000 Their idea for 2022 and beyond has been white woke liberals combined with minority voters will boost us to victory.

00:03:44.000 And it turns out that minorities are much more in touch with reality than apparently the privileged white woke liberals in San Francisco.

00:03:51.000 The true white privilege lives in San Francisco, where a disproportionate number of white liberals are living absurd heights of privilege In downtown skyscrapers, while the rest of the city struggles to get by, rent is utterly unaffordable.

00:04:05.000 The crime is relegated to specific neighborhoods.

00:04:08.000 It is more prominent in specific neighborhoods that the white woke liberals who backchase about never have to set foot in.

00:04:14.000 So the ouster of Chesa Bowden is obviously good news for the state of California.

00:04:19.000 It's good news for San Francisco.

00:04:21.000 That wasn't the only piece of interesting news out of California.

00:04:24.000 Although I have to say, the media's response to the ouster of Chesa Bowden, the left-wing media's cries to the heaven, it's really, really funny.

00:04:31.000 Really funny.

00:04:32.000 Like there's a piece from New York Magazine by a person named Ross Barkin called The Limits of San Francisco Liberalism.

00:04:38.000 If Chesa Bowden is recalled, it will be because his city has never been its left-wing caricature.

00:04:44.000 So that's what?

00:04:47.000 The idea that you're now getting from left-wing media is that the reason that Chase Abaddon is no longer going to be the DA over in San Francisco is not because liberals got mugged by reality.

00:04:54.000 It's because San Francisco was never that liberal to begin with.

00:04:58.000 Yeah, probably that's it.

00:04:59.000 Meanwhile, are they going to say the same thing about Los Angeles?

00:05:01.000 Apparently.

00:05:03.000 In the mayoral race, there is a runoff that is now going to happen between billionaire developer Rick Caruso and representative Karen Bass.

00:05:09.000 Karen Bass, of course, is a longtime Democratic congresswoman from the area.

00:05:13.000 She was considered as a possible VP pick for Joe Biden, although she was kind of one of the less known candidates.

00:05:21.000 She's a black female, so that immediately put her in the top tier for Joe Biden, who wanted a black female vice presidential candidate. 1.00

00:05:26.000 She's done nothing really of note as a congressperson in Los Angeles, other than continue to pander to her left-wing constituency.

00:05:33.000 Rick Caruso, by contrast, actually built The Grove, which is one of the major shopping centers in Los Angeles.

00:05:40.000 It's a great place to go.

00:05:41.000 Again, I'm from LA, and The Grove was the place that you would go on a Saturday night with your spouse, and you'd walk around.

00:05:47.000 They had a lot of beautiful shops.

00:05:50.000 Kind of this wonderful place.

00:05:51.000 And then it just got ransacked during the looting and rioting in the aftermath of George Floyd's death.

00:05:56.000 It got ransacked a couple of times.

00:05:58.000 The police kiosk there was set on fire.

00:06:00.000 And Rick Caruso decided, you know what?

00:06:01.000 I'm tired of this.

00:06:01.000 I'm going to run for mayor of L.A.

00:06:03.000 And it seemed like a long shot candidacy.

00:06:04.000 Well, now the election results last night actually had Caruso winning more votes than Karen Bass.

00:06:09.000 About 42 percent of the vote.

00:06:11.000 Karen Bass won about 37 percent of the vote.

00:06:12.000 They go to a runoff now because you have to win 50 percent of the vote in order to become mayor of Los Angeles.

00:06:17.000 But Caruso is a moderate.

00:06:20.000 He has contributed to Republicans in the past.

00:06:22.000 He is certainly not a far left Democrat who's in favor of homelessness, drug use, and burning down major areas of the city ranging from Melrose Boulevard to the Grove itself.

00:06:32.000 According to Fox News, the candidates appear on the same ballot.

00:06:34.000 The top two winners move on to the general election.

00:06:36.000 Caruso One, 42% of the vote to passes 39 at the time the AP called the race.

00:06:41.000 Caruso is a pro-business billionaire developer who's running a law and order type campaign.

00:06:45.000 A former Republican who became a Democrat just before launching his mayoral bid, Caruso dished out tens of millions of his own money to finance his campaign and flood LA with ads that spotlight his pledges for quick action to stem what he calls a city in decay.

00:06:57.000 Bass is backed by the entire Democratic establishment, ranging from Nancy Pelosi to Cory Booker of New Jersey and James Clyburn in South Carolina, as well as the Hollywood contingent, Steven Spielberg and J.J.

00:07:07.000 Abrams and Jennifer Garner.

00:07:09.000 Grusso is endorsed by Elon Musk.

00:07:11.000 He has some backing in the entertainment world, including Kim Kardashian and Snoop Dogg.

00:07:16.000 The Democrats, of course, are pushing back against Caruso, suggesting that he is a closeted Republican.

00:07:20.000 We can never have a closeted Republican in the city of Los Angeles, even to restore some form of order.

00:07:25.000 But the fact that Caruso performed this well, again, I think that he is the underdog in this race for mayor.

00:07:33.000 With that said, his performance is definitely a bright spot for people who are still interested In some sort of semblance of sanity in California.

00:07:43.000 It turns out that the left can push too far.

00:07:46.000 And when the left pushes too far, reality smacks them direct in the face.

00:07:50.000 It's a bad bellwether for Democrats come 2022.

00:07:53.000 Because the Democrats, again, nationally, have embraced a far-left program, and they've been unable to control any aspect of that program and implementation.

00:08:01.000 So, if California is any sort of leading indicator, a bleeding edge indicator, it's a bad night for progressives.

00:08:06.000 And that is going to continue throughout the year.

00:08:08.000 If all of this California stuff is making you feel a little bit more comfortable than you were just yesterday, let me recommend a way for you to be even more comfortable than that.

00:08:15.000 I'm talking about all-form sofas.

00:08:17.000 So, here's the thing.

00:09:20.000 Meanwhile, one of the progressive's favorite media outlets is the Washington Post, and it is fun to watch the wokes just burn down the Washington Post. 1.00

00:09:28.000 There are all these mainstream liberal institutions.

00:09:29.000 This may be the story of liberalism in our time, is how mainstream liberalism was overtaken by progressives who just beat people's heads against curbs.

00:09:36.000 It's an amazing thing.

00:09:37.000 The mainstream Democratic Party used to be in favor of things like preventing crime.

00:09:42.000 You'll remember that Joe Biden was a signatory to the crime bill of 1994 that helped lower crime rates across the nation.

00:09:48.000 You remember the Democratic Party used to be the party of safe, legal, and rare when it came to abortion.

00:09:52.000 You'll remember that the Democratic Party used to actually cut capital gains taxes when they lost elections.

00:09:57.000 This happened under Bill Clinton.

00:09:59.000 Now the Democratic Party has been completely hijacked by its progressive base, and they have no comeback to the intersectional coalition, because the Democratic Party for so long built itself on the idea that its opponents were racist, sexist, bigot, homophobes, that when those charges are hurled against the institutions of Democrats themselves, when those charges are hurled against liberal institutions, they have no defense mechanism, they have no immune system.

00:10:21.000 And this is precisely what is happening right now at the Washington Post.

00:10:25.000 So, the Washington Post has a couple of problems.

00:10:27.000 One is that they employ really bad journalists.

00:10:29.000 And the other problem at the Washington Post is that they've let the wokes take over. 1.00

00:10:32.000 And these problems are not unrelated.

00:10:35.000 So, the latest controversy to royal the Washington Post is a controversy surrounding a retweet by Dave Weigel.

00:10:42.000 Now, Dave Weigel is a guy who is very much of the left.

00:10:44.000 He used to write for Slate.com.

00:10:47.000 He is a person who likes to tweet all sorts of progressive memes all about how Benghazi was not a big deal, or how cancel culture is not really a thing.

00:10:55.000 Well, there's always a great irony and a bit of sick enjoyment on my part when people who propose that cancel culture is not a thing then get cancelled by the progressive left.

00:11:04.000 So, the apparently deep evil that Dave Weigel performed over at the Washington Post is he retweeted a joke. 0.98

00:11:11.000 And it was a bad joke, it was kind of a stupid joke about how all girls are bi, either bipolar or bisexual. 0.99

00:11:16.000 Which is a dumb joke, especially because, again, why not both or why not neither? 0.99

00:11:22.000 It's just, it doesn't make any sense as a joke, but Dave Wagle found it funny, and so he retweeted it. 0.88

00:11:26.000 Okay, not my taste in jokes, but is that the end of the world?

00:11:30.000 Apparently, it is the end of the world, because Felicia Sonmez, who has an outstanding lawsuit against the Washington Post for discrimination that was basically thrown out of court, she immediately jumped on this and retweeted it, him, And then basically called for him to be suspended or fired. 0.89

00:11:44.000 And now she has gone on this crusade to rid the Washington Post of all the sexist, racist, bigots, and homophobes.

00:11:51.000 And really what she's doing, what it seems like Felicia Sonmez is doing, is she's begging to be fired so she can then claim retaliatory harassment. 1.00

00:11:58.000 And then she can sue the Washington Post. 0.78

00:11:59.000 So we now have an HR game of chicken over at the Washington Post over intersectional wokeness.

00:12:03.000 And I am here for it, man.

00:12:04.000 I am enjoying every aspect of this.

00:12:07.000 Number one, because when you let your HR department completely run your company, you don't have a company anymore.

00:12:11.000 Number two, when you have one bad apple who decides that they are going to basically turn the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion against the institutions that supposedly promote them, it's really enjoyable.

00:12:23.000 It's great to watch.

00:12:26.000 Again, in the same way that you get a certain sick pleasure from watching San Francisco embrace and then have to run away from Chasey Bowden, you get a certain sick pleasure from watching the Washington Post destroy itself.

00:12:36.000 The Washington Post slogan, democracy dies in darkness.

00:12:39.000 Felicia Sondland just kind of walked in and turned off the light. 1.00

00:12:41.000 It's really, really funny.

00:12:42.000 So the Washington Post having a lot of HR problems.

00:12:44.000 Well, here's the thing.

00:12:45.000 If you think about that and you think, wait, maybe I have HR problems.

00:13:53.000 So here's what happened recently.

00:13:55.000 So Felicia Sonmez put out a massive long thread about how terrible the Washington Post is.

00:14:02.000 She put out this long thread in which she cites Stephen Jay and Maria Montgomery, the post national and deputy national directors as of early 2020, an internal report with response to newsroom ride outrage over a suspension that she experienced in early 2020.

00:14:18.000 There are recommendations for social media use on the national desk.

00:14:23.000 She said the report, spearheaded by now national editor Mattia Gold, was based on interviews with more than 50 of my talented colleagues on the Washington Post National Desk.

00:14:30.000 It was the result of weeks of hard work by nine of my colleagues.

00:14:32.000 I was among those interviewed for the report.

00:14:35.000 Among its findings, reporters use social media as an outlet when they feel their voice isn't heard in the newsroom.

00:14:39.000 We were surprised by how defensive they were of the content that made many women in the newsroom uncomfortable.

00:14:43.000 One colleague said of the leadership's response to staff concerns, the lesson many of the reporters took away from that was that going to management is a dead issue.

00:14:51.000 And she says, nothing has changed.

00:14:53.000 Since 2020, nothing has changed.

00:14:56.000 She says that things are really, really bad over at the Washington Post, as Felicia Sámez.

00:14:59.000 So, the Washington Post leadership responded by sending a memo to staff.

00:15:04.000 And here's what the memo said.

00:15:05.000 said, it's from Sally Busby. Dear colleagues, in this newsroom, we share many important common values, a belief in the power of journalism, hatred of racist or sexist behavior, language or systems, a conviction that when people come together in good faith, with respect and trust, it creates an environment that enables each person to do powerful and important work. So already you're on the wrong track here.

00:15:25.000 So, first of all, she is essentially admitting that the entire newsroom is built around Ibram X. Kendi principles, which is hatred of racist or sexist behavior, language, or systems.

00:15:34.000 So, she's not so much worried about intent.

00:15:36.000 She's not so much worried about behavior.

00:15:38.000 Anything that has a possible racist or sexist outcome is against the principles of the Washington Post, by which she means any inequality is inequity.

00:15:47.000 Then she says, we also occasionally disagree.

00:15:49.000 We come from different backgrounds and experiences.

00:15:51.000 We each see the world differently.

00:15:53.000 That combination of shared values and diversity of viewpoints is our greatest strength.

00:15:57.000 As you will see, diversity of viewpoint not big at the Washington Post.

00:15:59.000 Today, in the strongest of terms, I want to reiterate the importance of the following policies, which we will enforce.

00:16:05.000 We do not tolerate colleagues attacking colleagues, either face-to-face or online.

00:16:08.000 Respect for others is critical to any civil society, including our newsroom.

00:16:11.000 The newsroom social media policy points specifically to the need for collegiality.

00:16:16.000 We also do not tolerate violations of our policy prohibiting workplace harassment and our policy on prohibition of discrimination, which further set forth our expectations for employees and are designed to create an inclusive environment where all post employees can perform their best work.

00:16:30.000 Felicia Sonmez has spent the last several days attacking her post colleagues. 0.99

00:16:34.000 They're not doing anything about it because what they are afraid of is that she's going to hit them with the second of those principles, right?

00:16:40.000 The policy prohibiting workplace harassment.

00:16:42.000 They're afraid that if they punish her for harassing her own colleagues, then she's going to sue them for harassment, which is really funny.

00:16:48.000 In the last year, says Sally Busby, we have enforced through conversations, mediation, and disciplinary measures, egregious violations of our social media policy, just as we have enforced our overall standards.

00:16:58.000 As we have said, we plan to update the social media policy.

00:17:00.000 Until then, the current policy remains in effect.

00:17:02.000 It states, when it comes to your, when it comes to your colleagues, be constructive If you have a question or concern about something that has been published, speak to your colleague directly.

00:17:11.000 We respect and do not wish to inhibit any employee's right to raise legitimate workplace issues.

00:17:15.000 We know it takes bravery to call out problems.

00:17:16.000 We pledge to openly and honestly address problems brought to us.

00:17:19.000 We moved quickly to show our intolerance for a sexist retweet sent by an employee last Friday.

00:17:23.000 To be clear, we will enforce our policies and standards.

00:17:26.000 I am proud of each of you and your work.

00:17:28.000 My best, Sally.

00:17:29.000 Okay, so this is what she sends.

00:17:30.000 Now, does she mean any of this?

00:17:31.000 Of course not.

00:17:32.000 Because Felicia Sonmez has an outstanding lawsuit. 1.00

00:17:35.000 So she doesn't mean that Felicia Sonmez should be cordial to her colleagues or anything remotely like that.

00:17:40.000 She just means that everybody should basically do what Felicia Sonmez says. 0.51

00:17:43.000 So the entire, that letter talks about diversity of viewpoint inside the Washington Post.

00:17:49.000 Remember, this is your great objective journalism outlet.

00:17:52.000 These are the people who must have their work promoted.

00:17:54.000 According to Dan Pfeiffer, the former Obama official who recently appeared on MSNBC to declare that Daily Wire should essentially be shut down, and a co-host of Pod Save America.

00:18:06.000 By the way, this does show you the radical imbalance between the perspectives on the right and the perspective on the left.

00:18:10.000 I've told you, I've said on this show multiple times, probably at least once a month for the past several years, if you want to get a full range of opinion, listen to this show and then listen to Pod Save America.

00:18:19.000 Meanwhile, the co-host of Pod Save America is calling For the Daily Wire and shows like this one to essentially be shut down by social media, which demonstrates the wild imbalance.

00:18:28.000 Anyway, people like Dan Pfeiffer say that the Washington Post ought to be given broader purchase.

00:18:32.000 It's really important because they're just such great journalismers.

00:18:35.000 Well, they're such great journalismers that in the aftermath of Sally Busby sending this stern warning to Post employees, they all started sending what appeared to be hostage videos to translate it into text.

00:18:50.000 And it looks like soldiers with a gun to their head in Vietnam now blinking out messages.

00:18:54.000 It's insane.

00:18:56.000 So here are just some of the messages.

00:18:57.000 And remember, this is from the diversity of viewpoint, free speech, free press.

00:19:01.000 We have tolerance for each other's opinions, Washington Post.

00:19:06.000 I'm going to read these to you straight because I think you don't get the effect of just how down the line and echo chamber the Washington Post is unless I read these to you consecutively.

00:19:15.000 So you got Michael Scherer, he writes, quote, I know the Washington Post has a remarkably collaborative newsroom filled with journalists and editors who may stumble at times, myself included, but are always working toward being better.

00:19:26.000 I'm proud to work here.

00:19:28.000 Nick Miroff writes, The collaborative newsroom culture built by the Graham family has survived plenty of tests and trials, and it'll survive Twitter.

00:19:34.000 Thank you, Sally Busby, for making clear we're all in this together.

00:19:37.000 I'm deeply proud to be a part of the Washington Post.

00:19:40.000 Matt Visor.

00:19:42.000 Then writes, The Washington Post is a place of shared bylines and collaborative projects.

00:19:46.000 It's a newsroom of different perspectives and varied opinions.

00:19:49.000 It isn't perfect, but it is filled with great people doing great journalism, and I'm proud to work here.

00:19:54.000 Oh, it doesn't end.

00:19:55.000 Josh Dowsey, another reporter for The Washington Post.

00:19:57.000 No institution is perfect, including The Post, but the place is filled with many terrific people who are smart and collegial.

00:20:02.000 I'm proud to work here.

00:20:05.000 Dan Bales.

00:20:06.000 Collegiality and collaboration long have been hallmarks of the post culture.

00:20:09.000 It is filled with good and talented people who take their work seriously and who also enjoy each other's company.

00:20:13.000 We make mistakes and try to learn from them.

00:20:14.000 I felt proud and lucky to be here.

00:20:17.000 Ashley Parker.

00:20:19.000 Tweeted, the post is not perfect, no institution is, but I'm proud to work here.

00:20:23.000 I love coming to work almost every single day knowing my colleagues are collegial, collaborative, and fun humans, not to mention talents and journalists who are always striving to do better.

00:20:31.000 Well, I mean, if the message goes out for management and you parrot it that closely, I'm going to go with this echo, like again, so what exactly, you know what this says about the Washington Post?

00:20:41.000 It says that it's such an unbelievably rich, Echo Chamber.

00:20:44.000 I mean, on the order of the Manchurian candidate, Echo Chamber.

00:20:47.000 Like, propagandistic beliefs being drilled into people's heads that they repeat them, like, verbatim.

00:20:54.000 If you've never seen the original Manchurian candidate, there's this famous sequence where all of these soldiers who have been kidnapped and sent to Manchuria for brainwashing, they come back and there's a soldier among them who's been Essentially created as a plant to kill a presidential candidate. 0.51

00:21:10.000 And they are all testifying on behalf of this guy, Raymond Shaw.

00:21:12.000 And they all say, Raymond Shaw is the kindest, gentlest, most wonderful, warmest human being I've ever met in my life.

00:21:17.000 And they all say it consecutively.

00:21:19.000 That's the Washington Post now.

00:21:21.000 But you know what this has to say?

00:21:21.000 And it's really funny.

00:21:22.000 What this says is that when it comes to the Washington Post, its management, its processes, there is no actual process of weeding out bad apples.

00:21:31.000 At all.

00:21:32.000 The only people who are likely to be punished are the people who end up being yelled at on Twitter, and then the Post responds.

00:21:37.000 And the way you can tell this is because their actual journalistic standards have declined markedly.

00:21:41.000 The most obvious example being the ex-global Taylor Lorenz, the worst reporter in America.

00:21:46.000 She used to work for the New York Times where she harassed people, then she moved to the Washington Post where she harasses people, and her journalism just stinks. 1.00

00:21:53.000 According to the Washington Examiner, Stephen Miller, writing for them, The Washington Post has found itself embroiled in several dramas involving several of its reporters.

00:22:01.000 Personal grievances spilled over onto Twitter and then some, resulting in the suspension of Dave Weigel for his retweet of an off-color joke.

00:22:07.000 Still, the drama spurred by the Post's Felicia Sonmez and her own grievances have overshadowed yet more questionable reporting by technology reporter Taylor Lorenz.

00:22:14.000 The post was forced to issue multiple corrections to a story written by Lorenz and engaged in some questionable stealth edits.

00:22:19.000 These centered on a published claim that Lorenz had reached out to two subjects of her story.

00:22:23.000 The subjects are YouTube influencers whom she labeled pro-Johnny Depp on the heels of the much-publicized defamation trial between Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard.

00:22:30.000 Journalists like Lorenz had tried to use the trial to wedge in the topic of harassment and abuse in the MeToo movement.

00:22:35.000 As it turns out, Lorenz did not attempt to gain a comment or respond, despite the post's original story claiming the opposite.

00:22:41.000 Two YouTubers, LegalBytes host AlightMosaica and an anonymous user named ThatUmbrellaGuy, claimed at no point did Lorenz or any other reporter from the post reach out for comment.

00:22:49.000 ThatUmbrellaGuy posted an email from Lorenz on his Twitter feed, in which Lorenz asked for comment after the story was published, contradicting the story.

00:22:56.000 Lorenz blames her editor for what she calls a miscommunication, and she lashed out at the CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy as well.

00:23:02.000 So, here is what happened.

00:23:04.000 Lorenz published, she'd reached out for comments.

00:23:06.000 She had not.

00:23:07.000 She then reached out for comments.

00:23:09.000 The post had to issue multiple corrections and self-edit the story.

00:23:12.000 Were there any consequences for Taylor Lorenz?

00:23:14.000 Of course not.

00:23:15.000 Because the people they stand behind are the worst. 0.99

00:23:17.000 Those are the worst people.

00:23:18.000 And this is the media that you are supposed to trust.

00:23:20.000 These are the people you are supposed to trust as your objective media journalismers.

00:23:24.000 Meanwhile, shutting down alternative sources of information.

00:23:26.000 Well, the polls look terrible for Democrats coming up.

00:23:29.000 They've decided to bring in white boy Rick to somehow save the day. 0.71

00:23:31.000 We'll get to that in a moment.

00:24:43.000 Okay, meanwhile, the Biden White House continues to struggle.

00:24:47.000 The 2020 polls look just awful for Joe Biden. 0.74

00:24:51.000 And they have another problem, which is that the president is a walking corpse, and everyone knows this.

00:24:55.000 The president of the United States, every night at about 4.30pm, they feed him a dinner from Denny's, they put a Matlock rerun on for him, he falls asleep in his chair, and then they wheel him into the crypt, and the door closes.

00:25:07.000 And then, you know, once every couple of months, they bring him out, and they prop his body up on Jimmy Kimmel's couch, and Jimmy Kimmel talks to the body, and Joe Biden puts on his rictus grin, and then he goes back into the crypt.

00:25:23.000 And then we all pretend that he's doing a great job if we are in the legacy media.

00:25:27.000 Well, this provides sort of a problem, because if you're trying to mobilize the American public, if you're trying to change hearts and minds, a corpse is a bad way to do it.

00:25:37.000 See, the thing about El-Sid, when you prop a corpse up on a horse to go into battle, is that that corpse better have, like, an enormous amount of goodwill built up, because they ain't building up goodwill being dead.

00:25:47.000 And Joe Biden does not have an enormous amount of goodwill to spare at this point, considering that his approval ratings are down in the 30s.

00:25:53.000 So what does that mean?

00:25:54.000 It means you got to find somebody else to promote the message.

00:25:56.000 And it can't be Kamala Harris, because she is, as we have said, awful at this. 0.95

00:25:59.000 Kamala Harris may be the worst single politician on a large stage in the United States in modern American history. 1.00

00:26:06.000 She makes Hillary Clinton look like an absolutely charming, wonderful, magnetic human being, Kamala Harris. 1.00

00:26:14.000 And so what are they going to do?

00:26:15.000 They can't throw Joe Biden out there.

00:26:17.000 Because again, if you prop him up at a 90 degree angle, there's a fairly good shot that he goes down like at a 180 degree angle.

00:26:25.000 And Kamala Harris is pathologically incapable of saying anything sincere. 1.00

00:26:30.000 She has a smugness on her face is just beyond compare.

00:26:33.000 So what do you do?

00:26:34.000 Well, you go find a popular actor and you have him talk about gun control.

00:26:34.000 What do you?

00:26:37.000 So the White House last week, they tried to bring in a K-pop band to talk about anti-Asian discrimination, an attempt presumably to get young Asian voters to vote for an old white man who's no longer alive.

00:26:49.000 And now they're bringing in Matthew McConaughey.

00:26:52.000 Now, Matthew McConaughey seems like a nice guy.

00:26:54.000 I got nothing against Matthew McConaughey.

00:26:56.000 I'm just wondering why Matthew McConaughey?

00:27:01.000 Now they say it's because he's from Uvalde, Texas.

00:27:03.000 Okay, fine.

00:27:04.000 Well, so are presumably tens of thousands of other people over the course of the last several decades.

00:27:08.000 The reason is because Matthew McConaughey is a popular actor.

00:27:12.000 Now, here's the thing.

00:27:13.000 That doesn't translate over into politics.

00:27:14.000 It just doesn't.

00:27:15.000 There are a lot of people who have sort of popular followings in the acting community, and it does not translate over into, we now support your political agenda.

00:27:23.000 Democrats seem to make this mistake an awful lot, and I'm not sure why.

00:27:26.000 They seem to believe.

00:27:28.000 That if they grab a bunch of celebrities and put them on stage at the 2020 convention, for example, that magically this translates into popularity.

00:27:34.000 Most famously, they did this in 2016 with Hillary Clinton, where they had an utterly stone-faced, charmless candidate, and they tried to kind of stick and move around the edges by bringing in Katy Perry and Elizabeth Banks and all of these celebrities.

00:27:48.000 So now, the Biden administration is trying to do the same, because I guess you work with what you got.

00:27:52.000 So they bring in Matthew McConaughey to lecture Americans on gun control.

00:27:56.000 And it's not Particularly convincing.

00:27:58.000 It's not particularly compelling other than the weird sight of watching a person who probably will play the president at some point actually standing in front of an actual White House emblem behind him.

00:28:11.000 It's very weird to bring in actors.

00:28:13.000 It just, something strikes me.

00:28:15.000 That's wrong about an administration where the president of the United States can't sit for an interview with anyone other than Jimmy Kimmel.

00:28:20.000 So you have a president doing late night talk shows and you have an actor doing White House press conferences.

00:28:24.000 That seems very odd to me.

00:28:26.000 It just seems weird.

00:28:27.000 Again, this is nothing against Matthew McConaughey, who again seems like a nice person, even if I disagree with him on gun control.

00:28:33.000 But the fact that the White House is bringing Matthew McConaughey to do the press run for this in an attempt to gin up support for Joe Biden's various proposals is very strange.

00:28:41.000 So here is Matthew McConaughey from the White House press room For no reason other than he's very famous and people like his movies.

00:28:48.000 Uvalde is where I learned to master a Daisy BB gun.

00:28:55.000 That took two years before I graduated to a .410 shotgun.

00:28:58.000 Uvalde is where I was taught to revere the power and the capability of the tool that we call a gun.

00:29:09.000 Uvalde is where I learned responsible gun ownership.

00:29:14.000 Okay, and thus, and again, Loved You and Interstellar have no idea why you're here.

00:29:20.000 And then he continued by talking about the Second Amendment, and all of this is just, understand, Hollywood, the media, the Democratic Party, they are all one body.

00:29:31.000 They are all just one osmosis-ridden body.

00:29:34.000 And so if you don't have popularity over here, you squeeze the balloon and I get some Hollywood actors over here.

00:29:38.000 And if that doesn't work, then the media come in and they prop up the actor.

00:29:41.000 Here's Matthew McConaughey doing some more of this.

00:29:44.000 Responsible gun owners are fed up with the Second Amendment being abused and hijacked by some deranged individuals.

00:29:52.000 These regulations are not a step back.

00:29:56.000 They're a step forward for a civil society and the Second Amendment.

00:30:05.000 Again, I don't know why I'm being lectured by the all right, all right, all right guy.

00:30:11.000 It's fine.

00:30:14.000 If an actor gets invited to the White House to talk about this stuff, I wouldn't expect him to turn it down.

00:30:17.000 I mean, it's like a fun, great opportunity for him.

00:30:20.000 And if not fun, then at least meaningful.

00:30:21.000 Okay, fine. 0.95

00:30:22.000 But why is the Biden White House is so pathetic that they are now going to the guy from Sahara and they're like, can you come talk about gun control to try to get somebody interested in this? 0.97

00:30:31.000 Because the old man is back there sleeping it off. 0.96

00:30:34.000 And then McConaughey says it's time to raise the age to purchase an AR-15.

00:30:37.000 He calls this reasonable, practical, tactical, etc.

00:30:42.000 We need background checks.

00:30:45.000 We need to raise the minimum age to purchase an AR-15 rifle to 21.

00:30:52.000 We need a waiting period for those rifles.

00:30:54.000 We need red flag laws and consequences for those who abuse them.

00:31:00.000 These are reasonable, practical, tactical regulations.

00:31:05.000 to our nation, states, communities, schools, and homes.

00:31:08.000 I'm not sure why dazed and confused guy is lecturing us.

00:31:12.000 But I guess that at a certain point, if the Hollywood of it isn't going to make things happen, you can just go over to MSNBC and they'll try to prop all of this up by pretending that anyone who opposes Joe Biden's gun control agenda is in favor of domestic abuse. If Mr. Whitfield's mother was killed by foreign terrorists, the Democrats and the Republicans on the committee would be promising him the moon.

00:31:35.000 What is, I mean, is it as obvious as it seems that domestic violent extremists are an important part of the voting coalition on the right?

00:31:43.000 I mean, what is the structural impediment to hardening the homeland against domestic violent extremism?

00:31:52.000 I'm sorry. 0.99

00:31:53.000 It's just it's so pathetic. 0.96

00:31:54.000 It's so pathetic. 0.99

00:31:56.000 None of this is going to work. 0.99

00:31:56.000 Now, here's the thing. 0.99

00:31:57.000 The reason none of this is going to work is because the American people are still looking at the economy right now, and they're looking at Joe Biden's actual policy right now, and they're realizing that it's really, really bad.

00:32:08.000 Janet Yellen, who is the Treasury Secretary after presiding over the Fed, She's now admitting that inflation is persistent.

00:32:17.000 She's now admitting that it's not going anywhere.

00:32:19.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, she warned that the United States is likely facing a prolonged period of elevated inflation.

00:32:25.000 The World Bank sharply lowered global growth forecasts and flagged a risk of recession in many countries.

00:32:29.000 Yellen said the White House would likely rise upward its U.S.

00:32:32.000 inflation forecast, which already showed prices rising this year nearly twice the pre-pandemic rate.

00:32:37.000 She said, I expect inflation to remain high, although I very much hope it will be coming down now.

00:32:40.000 She says the numbers aren't locked in, but it's likely to be higher than the initial 4.7% forecast.

00:32:46.000 Well, originally, the White House had suggested that inflation would average 4.7% this year.

00:32:49.000 It's above 8%, like every month.

00:32:53.000 On an annualized basis this year.

00:32:55.000 So things are going very, very poorly for Janet Yellen.

00:32:57.000 Like at a certain point, when the expert predictions suck this much, maybe they're not experts.

00:33:02.000 Maybe they're just really, really bad at this.

00:33:04.000 Speaking of which, they just keep doubling.

00:33:06.000 So first of all, Janet Yellen, she just won't answer questions about inflation anymore. 1.00

00:33:09.000 She doesn't even want to.

00:33:10.000 She's asked questions as she was walking away from this hearing.

00:33:12.000 Just brushes right on by.

00:33:16.000 Secretary Yellen, if you admit that you are wrong about inflation being temporary, how can you be confident that government spending is not the cause of inflation?

00:33:26.000 Did you ever warn the White House that increased government spending could have contributed to the inflation that we're seeing today?

00:33:34.000 We're just heading to the car. Thank you very much.

00:33:39.000 Okay, well, there she goes.

00:33:43.000 The Treasury Secretary, Janet Proudfoot.

00:33:45.000 I mean, it's just a member of the Proudfoot family.

00:33:50.000 It's an amazing thing.

00:33:51.000 It's an amazing thing that the Treasury Secretary has been wrong about pretty much everything.

00:33:55.000 And yet, she continues to maintain, for example, that we need to spend more money.

00:33:59.000 Even the New York Times has a piece today titled, Yellen defends pandemic spending as inflation persists.

00:34:04.000 The Treasury Secretary's recent comments about rising prices have put the Biden administration on the defensive.

00:34:08.000 Yes, it turns out that when you acknowledge that inflation is now a permanent feature of American life, and yet you also continue to maintain that it's time to spend more money.

00:34:17.000 Well, those things are in conflict.

00:34:21.000 So she, she's done a terrible job and yet she remains in control.

00:34:24.000 By the way, how terrible is the job that she's doing? 1.00

00:34:26.000 She's doing such a terrible job that her answer to high gas prices right now is that we need to invest in green energy. 1.00

00:34:31.000 Again, this is the Biden administration's answer.

00:34:33.000 So just to get this straight, you're spending $5 a gallon on average in the United States right now.

00:34:37.000 The answer to this is to pour money into Chinese solar panels.

00:34:40.000 Brilliant, brilliant stuff here from Jenny Ellen.

00:34:43.000 What Congress can do and what the Biden administration would like to see is investments in programs like lowering prescription drug costs, investing in clean energy and renewables that would free our dependence on

00:35:03.000 Global oil markets which are subject to geopolitical risk and could bring down utility bills, affordable housing, help for child care expenses that would enable higher labor force participation.

00:35:23.000 This is all so disconnected from reality, but the entire Biden administration is disconnected from reality.

00:35:29.000 For example, Senator Debbie Stabenow.

00:35:31.000 I understand she's not a member of the White House, but she is a Democratic senator from an industrial state.

00:35:37.000 Debbie Stabenow.

00:35:38.000 She says, you know what?

00:35:39.000 I don't even care about gas prices because I passed a bunch of gas stations on the way here driving my electric vehicle.

00:35:45.000 Well, good for you, Debbie, but how about the hundreds of millions of Americans who can't afford a $100,000 Tesla?

00:35:52.000 I do have to say, just on the issue of gas prices, after waiting for a long time to have enough chips in this country to finally get my electric vehicle, I got it and drove it from Michigan to here this last weekend and went by every single gas station and it didn't matter how high it was.

00:36:11.000 And so, I'm looking forward to the opportunity for us to move to vehicles that aren't going to be dependent on the whims of the oil companies and the international markets.

00:36:24.000 Isn't it an opportunity?

00:36:25.000 It's an opportunity for you to pay $100 every time you fill up your gas tank because eventually, in 10 years, you might be able to afford an electric vehicle.

00:36:32.000 Sure, you'll be bankrupt and have no money by then.

00:36:33.000 You won't have a job.

00:36:34.000 But at least then, Debbie Stabenow, she'll have like a Gen 3 electric vehicle by that point. 0.55

00:36:40.000 And that'll be totally fine.

00:36:41.000 So the Democrats' plan here is to just whistle past the graveyard.

00:36:44.000 We'll get to that in a moment.

00:36:45.000 First, peak home buying season is in full swing.

00:36:48.000 Many homebuyers are wondering, where is this housing market going exactly?

00:36:51.000 Well, actually now is a pretty good time to buy, especially when you work with American Financing America's Home for Home Loans.

00:36:56.000 They can help you lock into a competitive rate right now while allowing you 120 days to shop for your new home, which is actually a really good deal because again, those rates are going up and the prices are going down.

00:37:05.000 So if you can get a competitive rate now, and then you still have 120 days to shop for your new home, that is amazing.

00:37:09.000 That way you don't have to worry about rates rising.

00:37:11.000 You can expect to get a custom loan and fast closing.

00:37:13.000 Plus, you're not going to have to pay upfront or hidden fees.

00:37:15.000 It is worth the 10 minute phone call to learn more.

00:37:17.000 What exactly do you have to lose?

00:37:18.000 Especially since home values are looking really good right now.

00:37:21.000 Many markets are up 20% or more.

00:37:23.000 That means your investment will pay off quickly, setting you up for a very healthy future.

00:37:47.000 Well, folks, what is one?

00:37:49.000 Massive success.

00:37:50.000 Massive, massive success.

00:37:51.000 We gained more subscribers the day of the premiere than any other day in DailyWire history.

00:37:54.000 We have gained hundreds of thousands of subscribers just to watch Matt's new movie.

00:37:58.000 This film became the number one most popular movie at home on Rotten Tomatoes.

00:38:02.000 As of last night, it still has no reviews because nobody on the left will actually review it.

00:38:05.000 Because, after all, why should they be forced to exit their massively comfortable bubble?

00:38:10.000 This topic is more important now than ever because, of course, we have to protect women and protect children.

00:38:15.000 Women should not have to fight men in a boxing ring, and children should not be dragged to gender orientation seminars at drag bars.

00:38:22.000 Like, why are these things even remotely controversial?

00:38:24.000 Because we have lost our mind.

00:38:25.000 What is a woman is fighting back. 1.00

00:38:27.000 It is leading the conversation.

00:38:28.000 We're changing that gender ideology conversation itself. 0.99

00:38:31.000 We're fighting back in the culture.

00:38:32.000 That's what we do here at Daily Wire.

00:38:33.000 Without your support, none of this would be possible.

00:38:35.000 All this stuff is really expensive.

00:38:36.000 You are the people who make it possible.

00:38:38.000 A lot of people, they have outside funding.

00:38:39.000 A lot of people have hundreds of millions, billions of dollars at their disposal from public markets in order to do this.

00:38:44.000 We don't do that.

00:38:45.000 We need your help.

00:38:46.000 That's why your membership matters to us.

00:38:47.000 So, from us here at The Daily Wire to you, thank you so much if you've already subscribed.

00:38:51.000 If you haven't, let me remind you that Terror on the Prairie is coming next week, less than a week away from the full uncanceling of Gina Carano.

00:38:58.000 You remember when Hollywood and Disney tried to cancel Gina Carano?

00:39:01.000 Remember that?

00:39:02.000 Because she tweeted something that was pretty uncontroversial.

00:39:05.000 But she also happens to be conservative, so they just decided to fire her from The Mandalorian. 0.99

00:39:08.000 Well, two days after Gina was cancelled, Daily Wire uncancelled her by announcing she'd be starring in producing our next original film.

00:39:15.000 Well, that film is about to come out, and it is a blockbuster.

00:39:18.000 It is awesome.

00:39:19.000 We proved they can't cancel us if we don't let them.

00:39:21.000 So, go to dailywire.com slash subscribe, join us, get exclusive access to our entire library of content, and get ready for the blockbuster awesome Western that is Terror on the Prairie, starring the revitalized Gina Carano.

00:39:31.000 you're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:39:34.000 So given the fact that the economy is in really dire trouble and the fact that Joe Biden's plans are really bad, by the way, how bad are Joe Biden's plans?

00:39:48.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, Joe Biden's plan here is to raise taxes dramatically.

00:39:52.000 So you're in the middle of a teetering economy in which businesses are pulling money out of their investments because of the inflation.

00:39:58.000 And your idea is to raise taxes?

00:40:02.000 This is your idea?

00:40:03.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, appearing before the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen talked about Joe Biden's fiscal 2023 budget proposal and his plans to raise taxes on businesses and individuals.

00:40:13.000 The goal, said Yellen, is to build a fair and stable tax system.

00:40:16.000 What's most striking about the Biden tax agenda is not its fairness or its stability, but its sheer size.

00:40:20.000 The tax foundations Erika York and Garrett Watson write today, quote, combined with the tax increases in the Build Back Better Act, which the budget assumes becomes law, Biden would raise revenues by $4 trillion on a gross basis over the next decade.

00:40:32.000 How big is the planned tax hike on a net basis?

00:40:34.000 There are a raft of new tax credits in the Biden plan, including a range of green energy credits totaling about $300 billion.

00:40:40.000 Even accounting for all of them, the president's desired tax increase is still massive.

00:40:43.000 It's about a $3.5 trillion tax increase over the next decade.

00:40:48.000 According to the Tax Foundation, by the way, the tax increases in Build Back Better alone would reduce long-run GDP by 0.5%.

00:40:54.000 The tax increases in the budget, including a higher corporate tax rate of 28%, up from 21%, and international tax changes would discourage domestic investment, reduce the productive capacity of the United States.

00:41:04.000 Raising the corporate tax rate to 28% would reduce long-run GDP by 0.7% and eliminate 138,000 jobs.

00:41:12.000 This is Joe Biden's actual plan.

00:41:13.000 So, what is their plan for getting around all of this?

00:41:17.000 Well, the answer is, That they are just going to ignore it.

00:41:20.000 They're going to pretend that none of it is actually happening.

00:41:26.000 Their failure to launch is just going to be a complete and utter... Alright, here we go.

00:41:33.000 So here's Karen Jean-Pierre.

00:41:34.000 She's the press secretary of the United States.

00:41:36.000 She says, actually, you're getting it all wrong.

00:41:38.000 The economy is better than it ever has been.

00:41:42.000 We're doing great, actually.

00:41:43.000 I know that you think we're not doing great, but we actually are doing amazing.

00:41:48.000 What we're trying to say, what I'm trying to say to you, is that the economy is in a better place than it has been historically.

00:41:55.000 And so we feel here at this administration, and other experts as well, is that we feel that we are in a good position to take on inflation.

00:42:03.000 We are in a good position to really start working on lowering prices.

00:42:10.000 Her serenity in the face of this sort of insanity is really, I mean, I will give her credit for that.

00:42:15.000 I'll give her credit for that.

00:42:16.000 She's out there preaching that everything is just going fine.

00:42:20.000 It's just that everything is good, man.

00:42:22.000 What are you so worried about?

00:42:24.000 So she was asked, so why, if things are so great, why are Americans so sour on the economy?

00:42:28.000 She has no idea.

00:42:29.000 It's just, it's all a mystery.

00:42:30.000 It's just a mystery.

00:42:33.000 61% are saying now, in this Wall Street Journal poll, they are generally pessimistic about people having an opportunity to achieve the American dream.

00:42:42.000 How's that going to look on a bumper sticker?

00:42:44.000 I guess what I'm trying to say, Peter, is that we understand that people are feeling this.

00:42:49.000 They're feeling the increase of prices, with food in particular right now, and gas.

00:42:56.000 That is something that we understand.

00:43:00.000 Oh, you understand it, do you?

00:43:01.000 Well, then I guess everything is totally fine.

00:43:04.000 If you understand it.

00:43:05.000 But also, the economy is better than it ever has been historically. 1.00

00:43:08.000 So, I guess what you're saying is the American people are stupid. 1.00

00:43:10.000 That's what you're saying. 1.00

00:43:12.000 Well, in the end, Corrine Jean-Pierre has the real answer, but she's just going to walk away from the podium.

00:43:16.000 Obviously, she doesn't really have answers to this sort of stuff, because how can she answer it?

00:43:19.000 Obviously, it's Joe Biden's fault.

00:43:21.000 Obviously, it's this administration's fault.

00:43:23.000 But I guess when you just walk away from the podium, everything is totally fine.

00:43:26.000 Catch you later.

00:43:27.000 Can you take some of the economy?

00:43:28.000 Because we need a long over.

00:43:29.000 Well, bye.

00:43:30.000 Bye.

00:43:40.000 Just saying.

00:43:42.000 That is the solution.

00:43:42.000 By the way, this is also the solution of the rest of the administration.

00:43:46.000 So they're simultaneously saying that Joe Biden is going to bed thinking about gas prices.

00:43:49.000 It's all he cares about.

00:43:50.000 He cares about the gas price.

00:43:51.000 He cares about what you're experiencing.

00:43:53.000 Also, he can't do anything about it.

00:43:54.000 These two conflicting messages were put out yesterday by the Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and the Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.

00:44:00.000 Remember, they are part of the same administration.

00:44:02.000 Here is the Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.

00:44:03.000 She says, Joe Biden is, he is just granularly concerned about your gas prices.

00:44:10.000 All he cares about, all he cares about is this stuff for you.

00:44:14.000 It's the most important thing.

00:44:16.000 Here we go.

00:44:18.000 Is there anything the White House can do near term?

00:44:21.000 You've already done the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

00:44:24.000 What about a gas tax holiday?

00:44:26.000 Would that help?

00:44:27.000 Yeah, I mean, let me just say that the president is going to bed at night thinking about this and waking up and asking for all good ideas, including looking at gas tax, looking at everything possible.

00:44:41.000 Oh, he's looking at everything.

00:44:42.000 Well, there's bad news, though.

00:44:43.000 The Commerce Secretary says he can't do anything.

00:44:45.000 So, which is it?

00:44:46.000 Is he in control?

00:44:47.000 And he's going to fix the problem?

00:44:49.000 Or is he standing over here on the side being dead?

00:44:53.000 What is actually still on the table, though, to bring gas prices down at this point?

00:44:58.000 Because the president has said and made very clear that there's not much left that he can do.

00:45:03.000 Unfortunately, that is the brutal reality.

00:45:06.000 You know, this is in large part caused by Putin's aggression.

00:45:11.000 You know, since Putin moved troops to the border of Ukraine, gas prices have gone up.

00:45:16.000 Over $1.40 a gallon.

00:45:18.000 And the President is asking for Congress and others for potential ideas, but as you say, the reality is that there isn't very much more to be done.

00:45:33.000 There you have it, two for the money.

00:45:34.000 Two secretaries both saying conflicting things in direct opposition to one another.

00:45:38.000 One is Joe Biden is granularly focused on solutions and the other is, nope, he can't do anything at all.

00:45:44.000 It is all a giant mystery.

00:45:47.000 There's nothing that, sorry, there's nothing, he's basically, one is like, He's a gentleman solving all of our problems.

00:45:53.000 The other is that he's a beach bum.

00:45:54.000 Yeah.

00:45:54.000 Search for the Easter eggs, guys.

00:45:55.000 A lot of Easter eggs in this show.

00:45:56.000 Matthew McConaughey Easter eggs.

00:45:57.000 I'm just going to give that away.

00:45:58.000 See how many you can spot.

00:46:00.000 The bottom line here for the Democrats is that they are in serious trouble, which of course is why, once again, they're going to fall back on the January 6th narrative.

00:46:07.000 And the media are doing their dirty work for them.

00:46:09.000 It really is amazing.

00:46:10.000 So the Washington Post has an entire editorial basically saying, ignore the GOP spin.

00:46:14.000 The nation still hasn't reckoned with January 6th.

00:46:17.000 Have we not, though?

00:46:17.000 I mean, it seems as though the guy who's president is not president and that he was impeached a second time over it, I noticed, even though he had like five minutes to go as president of the United States.

00:46:29.000 The only president in American history twice impeached.

00:46:31.000 And I seem to recall that there have been some prosecutions and a lot of people are in jail now for having invaded the Capitol building and tried to do harm to police officers.

00:46:40.000 And I noticed there's some new charges against the Proud Boys.

00:46:42.000 But apparently, according to the Washington Post, You know, the narrative is not complete until we hear the Democrats do a big piece of propaganda that's supposed to shift the election.

00:46:50.000 Quote, the House committee probing the January 6th, 2021 Capitol attack will begin public hearings on Thursday, revealing the evidence that has gathered over 11 months of investigating, including firsthand testimony and information about President Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

00:47:03.000 Expect leading Republicans to argue that a committee is a partisan panel dedicated to harming Mr. Trump.

00:47:08.000 Well, I mean, that is what this is.

00:47:09.000 And that Americans should disregard the illiberal threat that manifested in the January 6th riot his supporters perpetrated.

00:47:15.000 That would be a tragedy all on its own.

00:47:16.000 Well, no.

00:47:17.000 What if we actually are concerned about January 6th and the security protocols, and we think that a lot of the things that President Trump said were untrue, and we think that people should not have believed them?

00:47:26.000 What if we believe all that, but also understand that the Democrats are attempting to use this as an electoral ploy?

00:47:31.000 Because that's what this is.

00:47:32.000 And once again, it is not going to work. 0.99

00:47:34.000 It is fool's gold for them. 0.97

00:47:35.000 It is going nowhere. 0.99

00:47:36.000 They can try it, but guess what?

00:47:38.000 The ratings tomorrow night are going to be abysmal for this, because everybody was there.

00:47:42.000 We all remember it.

00:47:43.000 It's like doing a TV special about the Matthew McConaughey press conference from today.

00:47:51.000 You can't do a TV special about it.

00:47:52.000 It just happened.

00:47:53.000 We were there.

00:47:54.000 So if you're really going to bank your election prospects on all of this, Those prospects look like mud.

00:48:00.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here later today with an additional hour of content coming up soon as The Matt Wall Show airing at 1.30 p.m.
