00:00:45.000A plague in Russia that might be a biological weapon, and Brazil making a hard turn to the right, maybe, and Barack Obama joining the 2026 campaign, all the rest of it.
00:00:52.000But the truth is that we are the news today, the Daily Wire.
00:00:56.000For a company that's supposed to be irrelevant, we're in the news an awful lot.
00:03:08.000And of course, one woman showed up playing loud music right outside the filming location in an attempt to prevent us from actually successfully filming.
00:03:36.000So, we're filming in private property, and this person brings like a karaoke speaker to try and disturb the filming.
00:03:41.000Now, listen, originally, we didn't actually require armed guards around the set.
00:03:45.000After all, we're filming in a small, relatively crime free count.
00:03:48.000But according to the lawyer's letter, we actually had to send to the Livingston County Attorney's Office, we had to get security on the very first day.
00:03:55.000I'm going to explain in a moment why we actually had to send a letter to the city council.
00:03:59.000But again, that's just some of the insanity that happened on set.
00:04:03.000According to the letter from our lawyer, here's some of the insanity.0.99
00:04:07.000On September 22nd, A man in a pickup forced his way through the producer's barricade, aimed the truck at the production assistants who tried to stop him, and drove at roughly 30 miles per hour toward the cast, crew, and background extras while screaming, You guys are fascists, F you.0.73
00:04:21.000Because nothing says free speech quite like driving a truck at people while trying to disturb their legal activities.
00:04:26.000The next day, one Keegan at Nation arrived on set at about 9 a.m., walked through the locked off area into the middle of the set within feet from the cast and crew, and began shouting obscenities as well as Free Palestine.
00:04:36.000That is the person that you saw there.
00:04:38.000She returned about an hour later with a bullhorn and spent the morning calling out individual crew members by physical description.
00:04:44.000When the crew started rehearsing a vehicle stunt, this person began shouting action cut and fake countdowns over the bullhorn, the precise commands that keep performers from being struck by a moving car.
00:04:53.000And then this person's companions did exactly the same.
00:04:56.000The next day, two cyclists breached the perimeter, rode between the crew and the cameras during a take while blasting music with the lyric F Ice, and ran over a crew member's foot.
00:05:05.000A man pushing a toddler in a stroller fitted with a loudspeaker played the same track.
00:05:09.000An individual from a neighboring building screamed obscenities and made obscene gestures at the crew all day while repeatedly triggering his car alarm.
00:05:17.000Nashon told the producer's security manager, quote, You will remember my name by the end of this film production.
00:05:22.000Crew members were doxxed online, followed to their rentals, and confronted in restaurants and shops.
00:05:26.000Security had to go from one guard to four.
00:05:28.000The day after that, a man in a Jeep Cherokee bearing a fraudulent temporary tag refused to leave the perimeter, then put the vehicle in drive and rolled it toward two security managers who were pinned against a wall with no escape route.
00:05:38.000He stopped only when one of them placed his hand on his sidearm.
00:05:41.000Later that day, a second Jeep driver intentionally swerved at a security officer, returned, tried to grab a security manager's plate carrier, and we understand was cited by the PD for public intoxication.
00:05:52.000Nashon came back and physically blocked the stunt vehicle during an alley rehearsal while her associate, Brooklyn Wild, flew a drone within feet of the crew.
00:05:59.000Crew members were told their tires would be slashed.
00:06:01.000A flyer circulating on social media called for protests at the set every day through October 10th.
00:06:31.000But after that, photographs of the security manager were posted on Reddit and other platforms alongside comments about bringing guns to the protest, open carrying, and chasing security personnel out of the area.
00:06:41.000A couple of days later, on September 29th, Protesters set up a generator powered PA system.
00:06:47.000At 7 o'clock a.m., beside the crosswalk, the background cast uses to reach the set and accosted the extras as they crossed.
00:06:53.000Somebody impersonating a crew member, wearing a radio headset and using a crew member's real name, had to be removed from the set.
00:07:00.000A woman released a bag of airborne seed pods into the wind over the set.
00:07:03.000The producer's licensed set medic treated 18 cast and crew for coughing, throat irritation, eye irritation, difficulty breathing, and allergic reactions.
00:07:11.000LPD had to cite and release this person.0.99
00:07:14.000On September 30th, the administrator of the private Facebook group Livingston, Montana, Rant and Rave posted, referring to one of the film's producers, F. Carter Bohm, shoot the effing bitch in the head.0.98
00:07:25.000Overnight security photographed a man in all black wearing a balaclava and carrying a large duffel bag standing in front of the set before being picked up by a waiting car.0.98
00:07:33.000And Nashon apparently had been asking around town as to where the producer Ari Novak lived.
00:07:36.000So, again, all of this was already crazy.
00:07:40.000But then it turns out that the legal agency of the city, the Livingston City Commission, decided to basically go along with the people breaking the law and disturbing the set.
00:07:51.000The nutty members of the town descended on the Livingston City Commission and demanded they rescind our filming permit.
00:07:56.000Now, of course, again, we had a permit.
00:07:58.000Of course we did because we don't violate the law.
00:08:00.000And so some of the lefty townspeople decided to use the power of the law to stop us.
00:08:05.000And they were helped by the county commissioner.
00:08:07.000According to our attorney's letters, they basically held a meeting on Saturday.
00:08:12.000That meeting, we were not requested to attend, so nobody from our side showed up.
00:08:17.000And the commissioners basically just violated the First Amendment pretty openly.
00:08:21.000Commissioner Jessica Wilcox framed her number one question as Does Livingston really want to approve projects that require armed guards?
00:08:28.000But of course, the police are only there because the protesters keep committing crimes.
00:08:33.000The residents who told the commission they're afraid to leave their homes are afraid of the same people that the producers.
00:08:37.000Are afraid of blaming the producers for the hecklers is again the heckler's veto.
00:08:43.000Commissioner James Willick announced that his top three priorities were health, safety, and well being.
00:08:49.000And this thing does not seem to be beneficial on any one of those fronts.
00:08:52.000He added, We can have film productions that don't ruin our neighborhood and our community.
00:08:55.000Again, the idea is that we ruin the neighborhood and the community by filming a thing that you don't like.
00:09:00.000And so you bring all of your friends to completely destroy the community and then you blame us for it.
00:09:04.000And then the city commission will side with you.
00:09:06.000Commissioner Melissa Newt, who is a wild human being.
00:09:11.000She explained her vote to revoke our license by observing the police officers at the site who, quote, are normally like joking around and pretty jovial, were pretty focused and serious and are just a different energy level when I was down there.
00:09:23.000Well, I mean, the officers were serious because people were threatening to shoot the producer of the film.
00:09:29.000Again, this Newts person, according to a 2020 webinar that she gave on the equity of wildfire smoke, she introduced herself as white, cis, heteronormative woman who uses the pronouns she, her, and was raised in the dominant culture.
00:09:43.000And she added, quote, given my conditioning within white culture, I may unknowingly cause harm, and I apologize.
00:09:47.000So that's who the city commissioners are.
00:09:49.000Well, apparently, the Montana City Commission needs someone to explain the Constitution to them, but you do not need an economist to explain inflation to you.
00:09:57.000All you have to do is look at your costs.
00:09:59.000There's lots of stuff in your life that's gotten more expensive, obviously.
00:10:01.000Obviously, having a massive political consequence for Republicans and across the board.
00:10:06.000Here is the problem if you're approaching retirement, you spend decades building your savings account in dollars.
00:10:11.000And then if those dollars buy less, Your retirement is worth less.
00:10:15.000I mean, that's just how all of this works.

00:11:32.000There's only one reason the city commissioners ruled last Friday they were going to stop our production on the street politics, pure and simple.
00:11:42.000One commissioner named Cindy Daniels said, I am not willing to sacrifice the resources, the safety, the security, and the mental health of our community.
00:12:20.000On October 3rd, which was last Saturday, the city commission temporarily suspended our shooting permit with five and a half shoot days remaining.
00:12:28.000And that cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars.
00:12:30.000We literally had to spend the weekend building a fake front for the storefront that we're using, which you'll see in the movie, on the chance that they would ban us.
00:12:39.000From being able to film from outside the storefront.
00:12:42.000So that costs us hundreds of thousands of dollars.
00:12:44.000When we bring crew and we have to do extra work and we have our actors sitting around and the rest of the crew sitting around, that costs us money.
00:12:52.000The Constitution prohibits the Commission's suppression of the producers' protected speech.
00:12:58.000The Commission did not suspend this permit because we did something wrong or broke the law somehow.
00:13:03.000They did it because a bunch of left wing extremists who object to this film from the Daily Wire spent 12 days assaulting, threatening, doxing, and physically obstructing.
00:13:11.000The producers' employees until the city decided that it was easier to actually stop the production than to silence the mob through actual police enforcement of the law.
00:13:21.000The Ninth Circuit calls this the heckler's veto and it is content discrimination.
00:13:28.000We did not stop, not for one moment, not for one second, because we are not going to be put off making the content that we want to make and that our consumers demand from us because there are people who wish to violate the First Amendment.
00:13:38.000So we made very clear with this big lawyer's letter to the city commission that if they continued to hold up the shoot, we were going to sue them into the ground.
00:13:46.000It'd be in clear breach of the First Amendment.
00:13:48.000We would file a federal lawsuit as of this morning.
00:13:50.000So, last night, after a seven hour meeting, seven hours, the City Commission reinstated the permit for filming.
00:13:57.000Now, again, we would have finished the film anyway, but we certainly would have sued their asses off under the First Amendment.
00:14:03.000And now, again, this is a seven hour hearing at which every nut job showed up to talk about the deep and abiding harm caused by the shooting of a film they just didn't like.
00:14:14.000And this part is really kind of insane.
00:14:17.000It is not just that there are a bunch of lefties and then a local city council that decided they were going to do the wrong thing in violation of the First Amendment and then backed off.
00:14:24.000The entire entertainment media celebrated and cheered the shutdown of free speech.
00:14:31.000The entire entertainment media decided it was a positive good to stop movies from being made that they did not like, which is kind of astonishing, right?
00:15:01.000If there was some filming in a red town in Alabama and it was a lib film and a bunch of conservatives showed up outside to shout and scream and then the city council revoked the permit in the middle of the shooting, it'd be a national issue, obviously.
00:15:12.000And all we would hear about for weeks is book burning evil Republicans.
00:15:16.000But left wing Democrats are doing this kind of stuff all the time and the media are cheering it, literally cheering it.
00:15:22.000So, Will Sommer, who's a columnist for The Bulwark, okay, The Bulwark used to originally be sort of the anti Trump pseudo conservative publication.
00:15:31.000Now, it's just a left wing publication presenting itself occasionally as conservative, even though they're really not conservative.
00:15:37.000They're basically suffering from terminal Trump derangement syndrome.
00:15:41.000They put out a piece titled, A Small Montana Town Tells Ben Shapiro to F Off.
00:15:46.000The Daily Wire wanted a backdrop to film an Antifa siege.
00:15:48.000The filmmakers got a revolt over their own behavior.
00:16:38.000Last night, the commissioners had to tell people not to talk about the political content of the film, and people couldn't stop themselves anyway.
00:16:45.000And again, the reason this has become an issue is because of the political content of the film.
00:16:52.000They haven't seen it yet, but they know they hate it.
00:16:54.000And so they decided to shut down the production, and Will Summer and team are like, ah, it has nothing to do with politics.
00:16:59.000Summer and his friends are so ecstatic to see a conservative production shut down.0.55
00:17:03.000They're going to now pretend that this was some sort of content neutral shutdown, which is absurd and ridiculous on its face.
00:17:08.000The reality is, Will Summer and company are happy, more than happy, overjoyed to destroy core free speech, so long as that free speech cuts in a direction they don't like.
00:17:18.000And by the way, it's not just the sellouts at the Bulwark, it's the AV Club at The Onion, who put out a headline The Daily Wire's new ICE propaganda film temporarily shut down in Montana.
00:17:27.000Pawnshop, which takes ICE's side in the Renee Good killing, is accused of unsafe conditions and disrupting a local food bank.
00:17:33.000So, first of all, I mean, I don't want to get into the plot of the film.
00:18:12.000The Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro's ultra conservative white nationalist media company and would be movie production player, is making the wrong sort of news once again.1.00
00:18:20.000But even Deep Red, Montana has its breaking point.
00:18:22.000Now, again, it's a liberal town, Livingston, in Deep Red, Montana.
00:18:26.000That town, Livingston, voted in favor of Kamala Harris in the last election cycle.
00:18:29.000But put that aside, they say that we were basically shut down for allegedly unsafe and disruptive production.
00:18:37.000That's not what happened, which is why the city council had reversed himself.
00:18:40.000So, apparently, again, according to the AV Club, the liars over at The Onion, we are a white nationalist media company that makes movies with black heroes like Run, Hide, Fight, Infidels, and Hispanic and Korean heroes.
00:18:53.000But here's the point The AV Club is excited to shut down film production because they disagree with the film.
00:19:32.000You're admitting that you are happy to see it shut down because it does not take the radically anti ice position of the hard left.
00:19:38.000And here's what they write Residents of a small city in deep red Montana have rallied against the production Pawn Shop, an upcoming film from the Daily Wire that sounds like a MAGA fever dream.
00:19:48.000Now, again, they're just admitting the charge.
00:19:50.000They're not saying, oh, yeah, there was misbehavior by the production company because there wasn't.
00:20:28.000Apparently, more than 100 people came to a city commission meeting to air their fake grievances.
00:20:33.000And then, because, again, they would have been in violation of the First Amendment and we would have sued their asses into the ground, the commission voted to reinstate our permit.
00:20:43.000One of those conditions, I'm not even kidding you, I'm not kidding, was to erect a big feelings wall to, quote, visually obstruct scenes that include violent activity from public view.

00:21:07.000It cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars because a bunch of transgender activists and blue hairs and soy boys and left wingers were upset about the supposed paramilitary security that their own violent threats required us to actually go and obtain and the road closures that we legally received a permit for.0.98
00:21:50.000The more you entertain these made up stories from a bunch of left wing protesters and demand insane set changes like privacy screens, big, beautiful feelings walls, because our scenes are too triggering, the more justified our mission proves itself to be.

00:24:23.000So, whenever you set up a movie in a town, you work with their city council or their city commissioners and their city manager to get a permit to allow you to shoot on the city streets and public property.
00:25:04.000And so we amended the permit, got extra protections, things like that.
00:25:09.000Anyway, eventually the city just decided to temporarily suspend our permit out of pressure from the mob.
00:25:17.000And yesterday, last night, in a seven hour meeting, we were victorious and we got our permit reinstated and we are back to shooting this morning.
00:25:26.000So, tell us what is so insane about all of this is that it was very clearly a case of the heckler's veto.
00:25:30.000The original meeting happened on Saturday.
00:25:32.000There was no kind of notice that was given out to us, to our production team.
00:25:35.000So, there was no one representing the production team at this meeting because we had no idea they were going to just pull our permit randomly.
00:25:41.000Now, they tried to claim that, of course, the reason they were upset had nothing to do with the content of the film when clearly it has everything to do with the content of the film.
00:25:48.000This film is about an ICE officer who's trying to arrest a criminal, illegal immigrant and everything that happens therefrom.
00:25:54.000And everyone who's very upset about this thing created all of the issues.
00:25:58.000And then we had to respond to the issues by.
00:27:39.000And this is a warning to all Americans like, Get out there and vote, get out there and build businesses because they will tear you down and just be prepared for the fight.
00:27:49.000Yeah, Dallas, I think one of the things that people need to understand about the way these productions work is every single day, if you get delayed, it costs you legitimately hundreds of thousands of dollars.
00:27:57.000It is not as though you can just have people sitting around doing nothing.
00:28:01.000If they tell you you can't film at a particular place, we've got stars on the set that we are paying money, we have an entire production crew that we're paying money, we have cameras, we have like everything over there.
00:28:09.000And so if they just say randomly one day, we're not going to allow you after you've already paid for the permit and gotten it cleared to just film, It costs us an enormous amount of money.
00:28:18.000It costs hundreds of thousands of dollars a day.
00:28:20.000In fact, out of anticipation for not knowing what was going to happen last night, we built a second set in the parking lot, which is private property, so that we would have an alternate way to go today.
00:28:34.000Thank gosh, we can tear that set down today and finish the movie in the streets as planned and things like that.
00:28:59.000And it does demonstrate how insane the left is.0.92
00:29:01.000They are perfectly willing to throw out the First Amendment.
00:29:03.000By the way, not just the left, the legacy media.
00:29:05.000I mean, every major entertainment outlet covered this story and treated it as though it's a legitimate act to simply deny a permit after it's been issued, despite the fact that we were at no point in violation of our permit and people were using it openly in the entertainment media.
00:29:19.000The excuse that they don't like the content of the movie.
00:29:21.000It is not as though they are hiding the ball.
00:29:22.000Basically, their perspective is they don't like that this movie does not say that ice is evil and actually says that ice is necessary.
00:29:39.000They kept saying over and over again last night in the meeting to protect their selves from real liability that the content of the movie was never at stake.
