00:00:00.000This one clip shows the truth about what Islam in the West really means.
00:00:04.000We keep being told that Islam is a religion of peace, that the West shouldn't be threatened by Islam.
00:00:09.000Oxford held a debate precisely on this very subject.
00:00:12.000Well, the people who argued for Islam, they ended up making a case against Islam.
00:00:17.000They are accidentally saying the quiet part out loud, or maybe it's not even accidental at this point.
00:00:21.000Maybe the West is so done as a philosophical and civilizational entity that its enemies don't really need to hide the ball anymore.
00:00:27.000They take advantage of the rights and privileges of our civilization and then they spit directly in our face and they receive apparently nothing but applause.
00:00:34.000We're going to play the insane clips in just one moment.
00:00:45.000Okay, so there is a comforting lie people in the West have been telling ourselves for some decades as we import literally millions upon millions upon millions of Muslims from third world countries.
00:00:54.000Islam is generally compatible with Western civilization.
00:00:57.000Now, that was a weird idea historically, since, let's be real, Islam was founded in direct conflict with the West since literally its birth.
00:01:05.000But that idea was always awkward because it then dictated that the West might have to face down implacable ideological enemies who would not be wooed by the power of simple economics.
00:01:14.000See, religious enemies are kind of different than even communist enemies.
00:01:17.000Yeah, communism is a form of religion, but.
00:01:19.000It is in the end dictated by the power of the economic vision.
00:01:23.000And the true neoliberal fallacy was not that free trade raises living standards, because it does.
00:01:29.000The fallacy was that economics always dictates ideology.
00:01:32.000That if you put economic pressure on radical Muslims, they will magically accede to your cultural changes, that they will moderate in some way.
00:01:41.000It certainly was never going to work with radical Islam.
00:01:44.000Anyway, we decided that we were going to import massive numbers of radicalized Muslims to the West, people who do not believe in the basic rights the West was founded upon.
00:01:52.000Who actually see the West as a plum ripe for the picking.
00:01:55.000And then who tell us that if we see what they are doing and what they believe, it must be because we are Islamophobic.
00:02:23.000Is that this debate went so poorly for the pro Islam side that they delayed the release of the debate for a couple of weeks?
00:02:28.000The resolution at Oxford, I've argued at Oxford before, the resolution was this House believes the West is right to be suspicious of Islam.
00:02:36.000And the resolution did not pass, it was voted down.
00:02:41.000One of the people who was arguing in favor of the idea that the West should be suspicious of Islam was Tommy Robinson, who, of course, is an activist who has been labeled extremely radical.
00:02:50.000But when he says that Islam is not particularly compatible with the West, That was the argument of pretty much every Western leader for several centuries, actually.
00:02:59.000Unheard wrote about this appearance back in June, and they said that anti Robinson protesters were numerous and well organized, combining the forces of town and gown, campus groups, including Oxford Students Against Discrimination.
00:03:11.000While the effort was led by more established left wing organizations, such as Stand Up to Racism, some protesters linked arms to form a cordon that blocked most of the access to the union.
00:03:21.000The union president, a person named Arwa El Reyes, Faced criticism across the city and the university for inviting Tommy Robinson.
00:03:30.000Susan Brown, leader of Oxford City Council, demanded that the Oxford Union meet the full cost of staging the event.
00:03:34.000They actually had to spend about £80,000 for police security because of all of this.
00:03:39.000Now, again, the greatest mark that your religion is a religion of peace is when it requires tens of thousands of pounds in security to prevent people from storming the place and chopping off people's heads.
00:03:48.000That is always a great mark that your religion is the religion of peace.
00:03:51.000But one of the people who is arguing in favor of the proposition that The West ought to be suspicious of Islam, was British actor and now quasi activist Lawrence Fox.
00:04:01.000Here he was at Oxford Union, recalling Winston Churchill's early suspicion of fascism and comparing it to radical Islam.
00:04:10.000It is perfectly acceptable and actively encouraged in every school, university, TV channel, and media organization across the West to be suspicious of fascism.
00:04:22.000In fact, if we listen to our friends outside, that's not enough.
00:04:28.000You've got to take direct action against fascism.
00:04:32.000Chamberlain today just seems like a moronic simpleton to me.
00:04:36.000So, perhaps the deaths of millions of people could have been avoided if only Churchill's suspicion had been heeded, that his perspective acknowledged, but he stood alone whilst the train continued to hurtle towards us because we didn't want to upset anybody.
00:04:52.000Okay, so again, the comparison was pretty obvious there.
00:04:55.000And Lawrence Fox then went on during this debate to describe the expansionist, submissive aim of Islam, right?
00:05:00.000Islam does not, in fact, mean peace, it means submission.
00:05:02.000Here's Lawrence Fox explaining Islam literally means.
00:05:07.000So there is no church, there is no state, there is only Islam.
00:05:12.000My suspicion of Islam, therefore, is strongly and I think reasonably held.
00:05:17.000Islam is a comprehensive social, political, and military doctrine which leaves no part of its followers' lives untouched.
00:05:24.000As Andrew Hussey, the British historian, says Islam is more closely resembles a ruthlessly efficient war machine than a religion.
00:05:31.000Islam is borderless, expansionary, and interested only in submission to Allah.
00:05:39.000So another British. Podcaster and broadcaster named Jonathan Sikridoti got up and then he talked about the Muslim Brotherhood and their civilizational jihad, which, of course, again, everything that's being cited here happens to be factually true.
00:05:54.000Their devised strategy was one of patient Islamic transformation from within.
00:06:08.000And we know that because the FBI seized their 1991 explanatory memorandum setting out the plan.
00:06:15.000To settle in the West, build Islamic centers and spaces, infiltrate institutions and work until, quote, Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions.
00:06:28.000Nearly a century later, they are widely accepted across Europe and in the US and much of the West as a dangerous threat to democracy.
00:06:39.000Well, there's a piece over the weekend by Lorenzo Vidino, who is the George Washington Director Program on Extremism, talking about political Islam.
00:06:49.000In both the Middle East and the Western world, political Islam, with the Muslim Brotherhood its main proponent, operates in many arenas, including politics, education, and grassroots activism.
00:06:57.000Washington's European partners have long known this.
00:06:59.000Several European governments have correctly analyzed the societal challenge posed by Islamism.
00:07:04.000The Trump administration this year designated as terrorist organizations four branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Sudan, which the U.S. concluded have engaged in direct violation.
00:07:14.000By the way, the United States should have expanded that to, say, Qatar.
00:07:16.000They did not, for rather obvious reasons.
00:07:20.000Okay, and we are seeing the Muslim Brotherhood expand its reach into American universities, spreading its funding and all the rest.
00:07:27.000Okay, so that is what the pro side had to say about why the West should be suspicious of Islam.
00:07:32.000Then the anti side got up and they proceeded to prove the entire case.
00:07:36.000All right, coming up, we'll get to the people who oppose the motion.
00:07:38.000We say, no, no, no, Islam and the West, they're like, everything's great.
00:07:41.000It didn't go amazing for those people, but I'll tell you what won't go amazing for you putting all your eggs in one basket.
00:07:48.000That's true financially, it's true in business, it's kind of true in life.
00:07:51.000If all of your wealth depends on one asset class, You're probably taking more risk than you realize.
00:07:57.000And again, that doesn't mean that you should take your entire portfolio and just dump it into gold, but it does mean that owning some precious metals is just a smart thing to do.
00:08:04.000One thing I appreciate about Golden Crest Metals is they don't treat you like a transaction.
00:08:07.000They're a boutique firm with real people who know the business.
00:08:10.000No high pressure sales tactics, transparent pricing, no hidden markups.
00:08:13.000They focus on widely recognized coins.
00:08:14.000So what you buy is something you can sell.
00:08:16.000Right now, they'll send you a free investor kit, a free portfolio review, up to 25 grand in free silver on qualifying purchases.
00:08:41.000Go to goldencrustmetals.comslash Ben or give them a call at 888 429 3999.
00:08:47.000A student named Aisha Khan Aziz was talking to Tommy Robinson about the mob outside.
00:08:53.000And this is the clip that I was talking about at the top.
00:08:55.000This is the one where it's like you're just saying the quiet part out loud now.
00:09:00.000Stephen, there is a crowd outside rioting against you tonight.
00:09:04.000And without the protection and generosity of a Muslim Palestinian president and a mostly South Asian executive committee, you would be quite literally cooked.
00:09:23.000I believe that you are making an argument that is the opposite of the argument that you are seeking to make.
00:09:26.000If the idea is that the Muslims are so moderate that they are willing to heed any debate, the idea that, like, we are being nice by allowing you to speak here, and if it weren't for us, our friends outside would murder you, that is definitely a statement.
00:09:40.000That is definitely, by the way, that also happens to be the statement of a lot of people who live in the West.
00:09:46.000We're moderate because we just want our aims.
00:09:48.000And if you piss us off, if you draw a cartoon in a newspaper, we will riot all across Europe.
00:09:54.000If you are, as we will see, a person who speaks out against Islam in ways that we find offensive, we'll beat the living crap out of you in Dearborn, Michigan.
00:10:02.000That's the thing that happened over the course of the last 48 hours.
00:10:06.000So, you pretending to be moderate for the purposes of basically saying we are the only thing standing between you and the pitchforks, give us what we want, talk about how moderate we are, is pretty insane.
00:10:17.000By some of the people who also got up at Oxford, included a person named Abdullah al Andalusi, who used to be named Mulud Farid.
00:10:25.000Alaa Andalusi used to live a double life, apparently, according to the UK Independent.
00:10:29.000He would teach Muslims by night that ISIL, which is ISIS, was no different than Western armies and that non Muslims would be punished in hell, while by day he would work for the British government in Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary, which granted him privileged access to sensitive and classified information.
00:10:45.000He resigned his government post in 2014.
00:10:47.000Now he's an international Muslim thinker.
00:11:17.000We talk a lot about what motivates terrorists.
00:11:21.000We talk a lot about what motivates terrorists, but at least quote them.
00:11:24.000Because Assam bin Laden never himself uses the argument that the Quran says to kill non Muslims.
00:11:32.000I'm just going to point out at this point that the terrorist group Al Qaeda was very much in favor openly of, say, reconquering Al Andalus, meaning Spain.
00:11:41.000How do, honestly, how do people think that Islam became a global religion?
00:11:45.000It did not become a global religion because missionaries were sent to far flung places.
00:11:49.000That is not how Islam became a global religion.
00:11:52.000It became a global religion through conquest and war.
00:11:58.000Other opposition speakers, people saying you shouldn't fear Islam, They say the reason you shouldn't fear Islam is because Islam offers an alternative to drugs, porn, alcohol, and interest banking.
00:12:07.000I mean, this is a person named Michael Doward, a podcaster from the same part of England as Tommy Robinson.
00:12:15.000I feel like there are other things in life that offer an alternative to drugs, porn, alcohol, and interest banking, like, say, Christianity, but don't also include the incipient destruction of entire civilizations.
00:12:26.000Should the West be suspicious of Islam?
00:12:27.000Well, the truth for that is it's going to depend.
00:12:53.000So, so, Islam has come as an, Islam has come as a option, an alternative to those vices in this world.
00:13:02.000It's pretty easy to become a Christian.
00:13:04.000Who are, and Christians are opposed to those, Vices as well, I noticed.
00:13:11.000And one of the opposition speakers, again, according to the opposition speakers, nothing Islam has ever done has been bad.
00:13:17.000Everything is simply blowback for what the West did.
00:13:19.000So for example, the fact that homosexuals are routinely murdered in the Islamic world, that is only a result of the fact that the West created homosexuality, which would come as a surprise to, I don't know, all the men in Afghanistan who are preying on young boys.
00:13:35.000If you talk to any American soldier who served in Afghanistan, it was a real thing.
00:13:39.000It was a massive issue in Afghanistan that many of our so-called Afghan allies were very much into the prepubescent boys and they were supposed to look the other way.
00:13:49.000The American soldier, like this is a major issue.
00:13:52.000The idea that homosexuality in practice was somehow foreign to the Muslim world is, shall we say, ahistorical.
00:14:02.000The laws that do exist on some of the books in the Muslim world, unfortunately, were taken from somewhere.
00:14:08.000The idea of the homosexual was invented in the 19th century, as in the idea that you should classify people by sexuality, homosexuality, heterosexuality, and so on.
00:14:38.000Well, the Oxford opposition union president actually had to get up and say the motion is about Islam itself, not people who claim to represent Islam.
00:14:44.000Now, what's funny about this, what's really interesting about this, is that I tend not to want to adjudicate whether a religion itself calls for a thing.
00:14:54.000The reason I don't tend to do that is because.
00:14:56.000It turns out the texts are eminently interpretable.
00:15:00.000You could read the Old Testament and come away with things that are not in accordance with the practice of Judaism, for example.
00:15:07.000You could read Hindu texts and come away with things, presumably, that are not in accordance with how people actually practice Islam.
00:15:12.000I actually think the best way to adjudicate the quality of a religion is by the adherents.
00:15:17.000Overall, not every single adherent, but overall, has the religion had a positive or negative impact on the societies in which it exists?
00:15:23.000But the goal here, like, what are you going to do?
00:15:25.000Have some sort of debate over proper interpretation of the Quran?
00:15:32.000Here is the Oxford University president, Arwa El Reyes, who is a Palestinian from Gaza, explaining that actually the debate is supposed to be over the doctrines of Islam.
00:15:43.000The problem with that particular claim is that it evades the question as to what Islam means for the people who practice it in the West.
00:15:54.000Let me reiterate what this motion is and what it is not.
00:15:58.000The motion is not the West is right to be suspicious of Sulman Al-Adi, the Manchester Arena bomber.
00:16:03.000The motion is not the West's right to be suspicious of jihadist ideologies, of Al Qaeda, of ISIS, of the examples that you've presented.
00:16:10.000I, as a Muslim, and I am certain and I can assure you, as many, many, many, the vast majority of Muslims are equally as suspicious of those people, of those organizations, as anyone in this room.
00:16:21.000One moment, let me, let me, let me get through my introduction.
00:16:26.000The motion is the suspicion of Islam itself, not some caricature that has been painted by Lawrence or by Tommy or from selected verses in the scripture.
00:16:35.000Without context, without understanding, without reference to any of the verses that preceded it or came after it.
00:16:40.000It is not selective understanding by people who do not believe in Islam.
00:16:44.000The people who behead, the people who wage wars, the people who attack, and the people who stone and behead, these are not followers of Islam.
00:16:55.000Okay, so again, the evasion here is we are going to pretend that there is not widespread sympathy for anti Western values among Muslims.
00:17:04.000Well, I mean, again, one way to make this debate irrelevant would be if the adherents of Islam in the West were generally oriented toward individual rights and Anglo American traditions.
00:17:17.000That would be a great way to avoid this entire debate, but it turns out, it turns out that events on the ground tend to suggest the truth of the other opposition speaker.
00:17:25.000That basically, outside these doors are a bunch of people who, if you say the wrong thing, might burn down your business or attack you.
00:17:31.000All righty, coming up, if you are somebody who says, Anti Islamic things in Dearborn.
00:17:36.000Should you have the crap kicked out of you?
00:17:37.000This apparently is now an open question here in the United States.
00:17:40.000But you know what is not an open question?
00:17:43.000If you run a business and somebody calls you and you don't pick up the phone, you lose the customer.
00:17:49.000If they need an answer, a quote, or an appointment, they're probably moving on to the next business if nobody picks up.
00:17:54.000That's why today's episode is brought to you by Quo, the business phone system built so you never miss a call.
00:17:59.000Quo keeps all your calls, texts, and voicemails in one place so anyone on your team can jump into the conversation, see the history, and respond quickly.
00:18:05.000One exciting feature is the built in AI agents.
00:18:07.000It can answer after hours calls, respond to common questions, and even book appointments.
00:18:11.000So you're not losing business just because your office is closed.
00:18:14.000It's also easy to set up on any device.
00:18:16.000You can keep your existing number and it grows with your business.
00:18:53.000You may remember him from leading a protest outside of the mayoral mansion in New York that was then attacked with a bomb.
00:19:00.000And you remember that Zarnamdani condemned the protest and had very tepid words for the person who tried to murder the people at the protest.
00:19:05.000Anyway, Jake Lang showed up in Dearborn, Michigan.
00:19:07.000Dearborn, Michigan is the most Islamic city in the United States.
00:19:12.000And there he had the hell basically kicked out of him.
00:19:14.000People just attacked him on the street.
00:20:16.000don't have to like Jake Lang to understand that a dude standing on the side of the road shouting through a bullhorn in a public area, getting attacked, the reason he was getting attacked was not because he was violating time, place, and manner restrictions.
00:20:29.000There's only one religion in the West that is treated with the sort of hands off perspective of Islam.
00:20:35.000It's like, okay, well, you know, you want to attack a place, you want to protest outside a synagogue and threaten people inside.
00:20:40.000You want to take over an entire college campus.
00:20:42.000You can do all those things, and this is now considered some shortcoming in the West.
00:20:46.000And actually, you'll blame Jake Lang for being offensive.
00:20:49.000There's literally no other religion in the West where if you draw a cartoon in a newspaper and a bunch of people get shot, half the West goes, well, they did draw a cartoon in the newspaper.
00:21:05.000Again, this doesn't mean that every person in Dearborn is radical, and it doesn't mean, God forbid, that anybody should do violence to people in Dearborn.
00:21:11.000It does mean we have to be clear eyed.
00:21:13.000About the ideologies of people we import to this country and to the West more generally.
00:21:40.000And that just like Palestine, we live on stolen land when the devil worshiping Freemasons.
00:21:47.000Reached these shores, and the Zionist minded Christopher Columbus came to explore and they genocided the natives and put the one eye of the devil on their currency to do their plans in full sight.
00:22:01.000While the Statue of Liberty is actually Lucifer, the demonic bearer, holding a torch of light.
00:22:13.000Yeah, again, this is the kind of stuff happening in Dearborn.
00:22:16.000So much so that again, Abdul Al Sayed.
00:22:20.000Who may very soon be senator from Michigan.
00:22:23.000He openly acknowledges that Dearborn is in favor of Ayatollah Khomeini.
00:22:53.000On my first, the man was 86 years old.
00:22:54.000He was going to be dead sometime soon anyway.
00:22:56.000Second, that doesn't justify the fact that he was a bad man does not justify our breaking of international law and unilateral action outside of wartime.
00:23:06.000This is a bigger question about the United States' responsibility to international law, and we have been breaking it wantonly.
00:23:12.000This is the second leader that we've gone after in a matter of months.
00:23:15.000We are not the world's policemen, and that's not what he got elected to do.
00:23:20.000Again, the reason he's saying that is because there are a lot of people in his neighborhood who are upset that Khomeini was dead.
00:23:25.000Now, again, we already have a couple of Congress people sitting in Congress who are actively pro Islamic terrorism.
00:23:33.000There's probably another one who's going to get elected, too.
00:23:35.000In New Jersey, a guy named Adam Hamali, who was allegedly a spokesperson for actual Al Qaeda.
00:23:41.000Well, now we're on the verge of a senator as well.
00:23:43.000Abdul El Sayed is entering, according to Newsweek, the final weekend of Michigan's Democratic Senate primary with a double digit advantage over Haley Stevens.
00:23:54.000All this could have you losing sleep, but you need sleep.
00:23:57.000It is the thing that is most associated with health, like pretty much.
00:24:00.000The thing more than it, maybe diet, but other than that, it's like sleep.
00:24:03.000And that's why you need a mattress that is made just for you.
00:24:05.000Sleep is not just another healthy habit.
00:24:07.000It's the foundation everything else is built on, which is why I recommend Helix.
00:24:11.000Again, if you just get one of those mattresses from the store, you get it, you're on for like 10 years, you're rolling around, you're wondering why you're too hot or why the thing's lumpy or something.
00:24:19.000You need a mattress made just for you.

00:24:45.000That's helixleep.com slash Ben for 20% offsite wide, exclusively for listeners to this show.
00:24:56.000El Syed is the kind of person who campaigns with Hassan Piker.
00:25:00.000He's the kind of person who said about a Michigan synagogue attack.
00:25:02.000Remember, there was a Muslim from Dearborn who attacked a preschool near Dearborn, a Jewish preschool near Dearborn.
00:25:09.000He was standing next to Hassan Piker, who is, again, a complete and total piece of crap.
00:25:13.000And El Sayed said, What really happened there hurt people, hurt people.
00:25:17.000What he's talking about is the person who tried to kill preschoolers, Jewish preschoolers, was doing so because his brother, who was a member of Hezbollah, was killed in Lebanon, which is why you would go after the local Jewish three year old in Detroit.
00:26:20.000And of course, the way that he's going to get in the Senate is he's going to, as always, utilize the weakness of the West in order to promote himself.
00:26:28.000So because he knows that the West is tolerant, he's going to claim that you're a racist if you don't want to vote for him.
