00:00:02.000Not just woke 1.0, 2020 corporate advertising, Nike, Starbucks, Target, a lot of others pushed ads that were designed to appeal to basically no one.
00:00:10.000Is it really a shock that obese people or men dressed as women or people who are very hairy don't sell things all that well?
00:00:17.000This week, Calvin Klein dropped a new ad campaign with the very normal looking Sadie Sink.
00:00:21.000And now everybody's noticing that Calvin Klein's woke priors are suddenly gone poof.
00:00:26.000It turns out that, you know, woke one was pretty crazy.
00:00:29.000So people are pointing out the differences in how Calvin Klein is approaching its advertising.
00:00:34.000You can tell a lot by how the advertisers do their business.
00:00:37.000So, if you go back just a couple of years, you may remember Calvin Klein featuring a pregnant trans man in its ads.
00:00:44.000You know, like a woman who took some testosterone to grow a beard in the Calvin Klein ads.
00:00:53.000So, that was what they were doing a couple of years ago.
00:00:55.000And they also had a pretty woke commercial that they debuted a couple of years ago, a few years back.
00:01:00.000There was that commercial with some large ladies.
00:01:40.000Well, things have changed because now Calvin Klein is bringing out ads with Sadie Sink, an attractive young woman, dancing around in her underwear, which, again, is probably likely to sell more underwear than, you know, the lady who appears to be welded to the furniture.
00:02:00.000Okay, here she is, checking her phone and then dancing around in her undies.
00:02:11.000And then apparently, this causes a flood to emerge in her house, and she seems unconcerned about the flood that has broken out in her house.
00:02:20.000Also, there are electrical devices going off, which seems dangerous.
00:02:24.000You have a flood, and also electrical devices going off.
00:02:50.000Now, again, I think that we've reached a pretty low point in society when we have to have a cultural celebration that more attractive women are in advertising.
00:02:59.000I'm old enough to remember as a conservative when conservatives were pretty exercised about Paris Hilton flirting with a car. While eating a cheeseburger, because they're like, uh, this seems like kind of softcore porn.
00:03:08.000Um, but we're not apparently, um, you know, we've now reached the point where we should just celebrate the fact that we're allowed to restore kind of traditional notions of female beauty.
00:04:09.000It's not to, you know, no foul to people who do, but I think, and of course, how you define that is very different from person to person, right?
00:04:19.000But I think a lot of politics sometimes, at least for me, is about values and being aligned with values, I think, is tremendously important.
00:04:31.000She just said a thing that's actually not stupid.
00:04:34.000I mean, her values are crap, but she is right.
00:04:39.000You should date people with your own value system.
00:04:41.000If you're a conservative, you should not date people who are very much on the left.
00:04:43.000If you are Jewish, you should date Jews.
00:04:45.000If you're Christian, you should date Christians.
00:04:46.000I think that that is a good way to go about these things because, again, when you are dating, you're dating to create a family unit, and that family unit should have the same approach toward the children.
00:04:56.000Not terrible dating advice from AOC, but is that a reason she should be president?
00:05:00.000According to some, the answer is apparently yes.
00:05:02.000Our sponsors over at CalShe have her as basically very close second place to John Ossoff in the Democratic nomination race, that she is now riding at 16% for the Democratic presidential nomination.
00:05:14.000That puts her essentially tied for first with John Assoff, who is having, again, a little bit of a moment.
00:05:19.000I don't think that moment is likely to last very long.
00:05:21.000Gavin Newsom has dipped pretty significantly.
00:05:23.000So it seems like his hot moment is ending.
00:06:30.000In fact, people all over the world who are much, much poorer than Americans have babies all the time.
00:06:35.000But again, it's society's fault that you are not having a baby.
00:06:38.000She also talks about her life decisions.
00:06:40.000She says she has career ambitions and she wants love and she wants family.
00:06:45.000Again, this is why conservative gentlemen aim your Cupid's arrows elsewhere.
00:06:54.000I think sometimes these conversations about political speculation happen very two dimensionally, right?
00:07:00.000Is she going to run for this or is she going to run for that?
00:07:03.000And for me, I make decisions about my whole life, right?
00:07:07.000It's not ever just in a career context.
00:07:10.000It's about how do I fit all of these things.
00:07:14.000And I feel like my ambition is not just a career ambition, it's about how do we get to soak up as much of this life as possible.
00:07:24.000And sometimes that has to do with doing really aspirational things with work, and sometimes it has to do with really big aspirational things with love and family.
00:07:35.000I was always raised as a family first kind of person.
00:07:46.000I have some skeptical questions about being raised as a family first type of person, as a person who is literally deprioritizing that as the biological clock ticks.
00:07:55.000I mean, that's just a reality of choice making.
00:07:59.000A very wise person once said that women can have it all, they just can't have it all at the exact same time, which is just true on a material level.
00:08:07.000Meanwhile, when we speak of social liberalism and the left, it is incredible.
00:08:10.000So, the left is dramatically oriented against the idea that nature exists.
00:08:15.000According to them, everything is merely a societal construct.
00:08:22.000In fact, they want to have it both ways.
00:08:23.000They want to say that trans is an inborn quality, but heterosexuality is environmentally driven.
00:08:30.000There are Kiki Palmer and Laverne Cox on the idea that parents influence their kids to be trans, which, by the way, is obviously and clearly true, which is why you have everyone in Hollywood with a trans kid.
00:08:39.000And nobody in Peoria with a trans kid.
00:08:42.000But apparently, they believe that actually it's parents who cause their kids to be straight, which, by the way, if that's true, then better for society since we do need the people to have the babies, and that happens when the men have the sex with the ladies.
00:09:01.000People were sort of talking about, well, you know, children are too young to make decisions about this, and they don't know, and parents are forcing.
00:09:13.000Are you saying so many people are saying that parents are forcing their children to be trans?
00:09:19.000I was like, that is the most ridiculous thing ever.
00:09:22.000And it completely discounts all of the conservative parents who find themselves with trans kids and have to navigate it.
00:09:29.000But I never understand that because if that were the case, if people could make somebody anything, well, what about all the hetero stuff y'all pushing?
00:09:54.000Life is a combination of genetics and environment.
00:09:56.000I know these are controversial statements.
00:09:59.000And genetically speaking, it turns out that actually, actually, the vast majority of humanity is geared toward heterosexuality because that is evolutionarily beneficial.
