00:00:15.000 The real question will always be whether or not Fauci and the scientific establishment will actually be held accountable for their handling of the COVID pandemic.
00:00:22.000 Florida Attorney General James Uthmeyer joins us now to discuss how the states can still prosecute Fauci despite President Biden's auto pen pardon.

00:00:34.000 So, obviously, a lot of focus on Anthony Fauci and him taking the fifth before the federal government.
00:00:39.000 A lot of controversy over whether he can actually do that in front of the federal government, considering he received a federal pardon from Joe Biden.
00:00:46.000 But a federal pardon does not free you of state charges.
00:00:48.000 What are the kinds of things you're considering as Florida AG with regard to Anthony Fauci?
00:00:54.000 Sure.
00:00:54.000 Well, we delivered a subpoena to Anthony Fauci last week, really seeking anything and everything.
00:01:01.000 We have a lot of unanswered questions.
00:01:04.000 Obviously, there have been revelations over the last couple of weeks that he privately questioned the safety and efficacy of the so called medical treatment that he was pushing on the American people.
00:01:16.000 Central to our subpoena is looking at possible self dealing, personal gain.
00:01:22.000 Government officials rightly have a lot of immunities when they're doing their job, but there's evidence to suggest that Dr. Fauci was privately interested in book deals, in fortune, fame, awards with monetary prizes.
00:01:36.000 That goes outside of the realm.
00:01:39.000 Of a typical government official work and salary.
00:01:42.000 And this could be evidence that his deception, which hurt a lot of people, resulted in personal gain.
00:01:48.000 So we're looking at anything civil, criminal, anything under Florida law, we are going to investigate and seek accountability.
00:01:55.000 Attorney General, what did you make of Fauci taking the fifth?
00:01:58.000 Obviously, his claim when he took the fifth was that he was basically trying to immunize himself from the possibility of prosecution at the state level by the fact that the state of Florida is now looking into him.
00:02:07.000 Does that justify his claims at all?
00:02:09.000 Well, I think you said it right that the pardon itself has questionable legal authority.
00:02:15.000 Who knows what President Biden actually knew was taking place?
00:02:20.000 And if there is an auto pen without proper agency, there could be issues.
00:02:24.000 But, you know, we were certainly alarmed by his lack of candor before Congress, his inability to answer questions.
00:02:31.000 All of that occurred simultaneously with new evidence that he did doubt the very mRNA jabs that he was pushing.
00:02:40.000 So the federal pardon will not.
00:02:42.000 Give him immunity from state issues.
00:02:45.000 We've got a lot of evidence to go through and collect.
00:02:47.000 It's too early to talk about legal theories or violations of Florida law, but his Fifth Amendment claims certainly got our attention.
00:02:56.000 What does he have to hide?
00:02:58.000 We now see more and more coming out that shows that there was dishonesty.
00:03:02.000 He lied to the American people.
00:03:04.000 People suffered across this country, including here in Florida.
00:03:07.000 And if there is liability, his federal pardon will not apply.
00:03:12.000 Now, you mentioned that it could take a while to go through all the materials that you guys are subpoenaing and everything else.
00:03:17.000 What do you think is sort of a broad timeline for people to expect some sort of investigative results here?
00:03:23.000 Again, it's hard to speculate.
00:03:25.000 We've got thousands and thousands of text messages, voicemails, emails that we need to go through.
00:03:31.000 We need to be thorough.
00:03:32.000 We need to make sure that we're crossing our T's, dotting our I's, that we're properly building the evidence for a court of law if it gets to that point.
00:03:41.000 So we're probably talking months, not days, but I've got my best attorneys on it.
00:03:46.000 All hands on deck.
00:03:47.000 We understand how important it is to the American people to get answers and seek accountability.
00:03:53.000 So we will make it a top priority for our office.

00:04:54.000 Now, putting aside, obviously, the legal questions, which are going to come to light as you go through the investigation, the materials, just on a sort of generic political level.
00:05:01.000 You've seen a lot of revelations from his emails, from his diaries, from his texts, much of that in the public view.
00:05:06.000 So, of what has been put into the public view so far, what do you think Americans should be most troubled about?
00:05:12.000 Well, I mean, we've only gone through a handful of texts at this point, and we've already seen evidence that he personally doubted whether or not these vaccines should be administered to pregnant women.
00:05:24.000 There was evidence and concern that it could lead to miscarriages.
00:05:28.000 But that concern was never made public.
00:05:31.000 Women were not put on notice.
00:05:33.000 There are risks for possible complications with your pregnancies.
00:05:37.000 And we've seen data to suggest that miscarriages went up during this timeframe.
00:05:43.000 So there's a lot of women out there that are rightfully very, very upset.
00:05:47.000 Nothing is going to make them whole or perhaps bring back the baby they lost.
00:05:52.000 But I think what we see is continued evidence of dishonesty.
00:05:56.000 So there was clearly something wrong that happened here, whether it rises to the evidentiary level of a crime or civil liability.
00:06:03.000 Is a question that still has to be answered, but we are going to be diligent.
00:06:07.000 We will use every tool we have.
00:06:10.000 We will most certainly do everything we can to seek accountability for Americans and Floridians, especially.
00:06:16.000 Now, are you aware, Attorney General, of any other similar prosecutorial efforts that are taking place in other states?
00:06:20.000 Because obviously he was a national politician with national scope and effect to his decision making.
00:06:26.000 Yes, I've talked to several other attorneys general.
00:06:28.000 I know there's at least two or three that are already conducting their own inquiries.
00:06:34.000 We will work together with anybody that wants to.
00:06:37.000 Prosecute this case with us.
00:06:39.000 I know Dr. Fauci was, you know, he was subpoenaed and questioned in other states and other legal matters going back years.
00:06:49.000 And now new evidence could show possible contradictions or impact those prior proceedings.
00:06:56.000 I've only been on the job here about a year and a half.
00:06:58.000 So we're still coming up to the speed with everything that other states did on this topic.
00:07:03.000 But most certainly, this was a countrywide deception.
00:07:08.000 Perhaps the greatest deception against the United States of America that we have ever seen.
00:07:13.000 So, we're going to work with any other state official, especially our great attorneys general, to get to the bottom of it.
