Summary

Joe Biden is not running to the center. He is running to his left. And that's why he's not winning in the polls right now. Joe Biden has been in office for almost four years now, and he's already falling behind Donald Trump among independent voters. Is it time for him to buck conventional wisdom and run toward the center? Or is it time to go to the extreme? . Joe Biden is running directly to his base. And there's no reason to think that he can't win if he swerves to the left. The real reason he's losing is that he doesn't believe the political idiots around him that he asked to run to the far left. He's believing the Bernie Sanders crowd, and the Pod Save America crowd. And there is very little data to support the notion that he's going to win by appealing to the most extreme members of his own base. And if you listen to them, you'll see that's exactly what he's running to. You'll also notice that his approval rating among Democrats is significantly worse than it was in October of 2013, when he was in the mid-teens, when the polls were at 28%. and it's much lower than it is today, when it's at 48%. Why is this happening? Why is he not winning? What's the real reason that he s losing right now? and why is he losing so badly? And what s going on with his poll numbers right now and why he s not winning the 2020 election? Is it the Israel-Hamas war, or is it the Iran-Gaza war, the Iran situation, or the Ukraine crisis, or something else? Or something else going on in Israel-Gaza, Iran and the Iran conflict, or some other ? What s going wrong with Joe Biden's approval rating? If you're a Democrat, you need to listen to this episode to figure out what s happening with his approval ratings on Israel- Hamas, Iran, Ukraine, the Ukraine, and other things? In this episode, I'll tell you what's going on, and why Joe Biden s approval rating is so low and why it s so bad and why you should be worried about it. (1) 2) 3) Why Joe Biden isn't winning and what s really going to happen in 2020 and why that s going to be better than it s getting worse 4)

00:00:00.000 For a very long time in American politics, there was a truism about running for president of the United States.
00:00:04.000 That truism suggested you were supposed to run to the extremes during the primaries, and then you were supposed to run toward the center in the general, which made perfect sense.
00:00:12.000 You wanted to consolidate a base in the primaries so as to overcome your primary rivals.
00:00:16.000 And then, once you had done that, you were supposed to run toward the center because that's where the independents were.
00:00:21.000 And the truth is that in every American election, The winner of that election has been the person who won independence with the sole exception of 2012 when Mitt Romney beat Barack Obama with independence.
00:00:32.000 But it didn't matter because Barack Obama had enough of his base show up that he was able to win a victory.
00:00:37.000 In every other election, independents have decided the election.
00:00:40.000 Joe Biden is deciding that it is time for him to buck conventional wisdom.
00:00:44.000 He is not running to the center.
00:00:46.000 Instead, he's believing all of the political idiots around him that he asked to run to the far left.
00:00:51.000 He's believing the Bernie Sanders crowd.
00:00:53.000 He's believing the Pod Save America crowd.
00:00:55.000 He's believing the most extreme members of his own base.
00:00:58.000 And there is very little data to support the notion that he is going to win if he runs to the extreme parts of his base.
00:01:05.000 This is why he is losing right now.
00:01:07.000 In fact, according to the latest NPR Marist poll, that actually has Joe Biden up two nationally.
00:01:12.000 That same poll shows that in October of 2020, Joe Biden was winning among independent voters.
00:01:19.000 By 21 points, 57 to 36.
00:01:22.000 In March of 2024, Donald Trump is beating Joe Biden with independent voters by seven points, 52 to 45.
00:01:28.000 That is a net 28 point swing toward Donald Trump among independent voters.
00:01:34.000 And there is a reason for that.
00:01:35.000 It is because Joe Biden has decided that he is not going to instead swivel to the center.
00:01:40.000 He is going to run directly to his left.
00:01:42.000 And he has cheerleaders on his left who are promoting this narrative, even though the narrative isn't particularly true.
00:01:49.000 The real reason that Joe Biden is losing right now has nothing to do with his positions that are somewhat democratic center-left on, for example, Israel-Gaza.
00:01:57.000 The reason that he is losing right now is because most Americans perceive the economy to be poor.
00:02:02.000 Most Americans perceive the president to be too old.
00:02:04.000 They perceive Joe Biden to be disconnected.
00:02:06.000 They believe that Joe Biden doesn't have their concerns at heart.
00:02:10.000 For example, MSNBC yesterday reporting that 63% of swing state voters say the United States economy is not so good or poor.
00:02:18.000 Only 36% say that it is excellent or good.
00:02:21.000 Here's MSNBC discussing.
00:02:23.000 The poll also finds negative perceptions about the economy do remain a problem for the incumbent.
00:02:30.000 63% of swing state voters say the U.S.
00:02:32.000 economy is in not so good or poor condition, while just 36% say it's an excellent or good condition.
00:02:41.000 Okay, well that would be the reason that you're losing.
00:02:43.000 I mean, if you are the incumbent president and 63% of swing state voters say that the economy is not so good or poor, that's the reason why you're underperforming in the polls.
00:02:55.000 But again, if you are Joe Biden and you have a closed loop echo chamber of people surrounding you, former Obama staffers, for example, who are very much to the left and who believe in the magic, mythic notion that Barack Obama's 2012 campaign can be replicated, that you can get out enough members of the base to overcome deficits with independence, which historically has not been true.
00:03:15.000 Barack Obama is the only outlier and that was a real outlier election.
00:03:19.000 If you listen to all those people, you're going to swivel to your left.
00:03:23.000 And you're going to skew the data to do it.
00:03:24.000 So, for example, yesterday, CNN's data guru, Harry Enten, he suggested that the Israel-Hamas war is costing Joe Biden votes.
00:03:31.000 The way that he does this is sort of fascinating.
00:03:34.000 So, he looks at Democrats who approve of Joe Biden's handling of various issues, including the economy, Russia-Ukraine, foreign policy, gun violence, the US-Mexico border, and the Israel-Hamas war.
00:03:44.000 This is a Quinnipiac University poll.
00:03:45.000 Here is Harry Enten trying to explain.
00:03:48.000 Look here, the Israel-Hamas war, look at that approval rating.
00:03:51.000 Less than 50% of Democrats are approving on Joe Biden, on the Israel-Hamas war.
00:03:58.000 And more than that, John, these numbers have gotten significantly worse.
00:04:02.000 So this is Democrats' views of Biden on the Israel-Hamas war.
00:04:06.000 Look back in October of 2023.
00:04:07.000 Look where we are today, 48%.
00:04:07.000 It was 67%.
00:04:08.000 It was 67%.
00:04:09.000 Look where we are today, 48%.
00:04:12.000 That disapproved number, look at that.
00:04:14.000 Jumped up from 28% in October of 2023 to 46% now.
00:04:19.000 This is within the margin of error.
00:04:21.000 Democrats are split on Joe Biden's handling of the Israel-Hamas war.
00:04:25.000 John, you know I look at poll numbers a lot.
00:04:27.000 For a president to be doing this poorly amongst his own party on any issue is quite something to see.
00:04:35.000 Okay, but there's one problem with this narrative.
00:04:37.000 It's the top of that poll.
00:04:39.000 Only 81% of Democrats approve of Joe Biden on the economy.
00:04:42.000 His best issues are 80% issues among Democrats.
00:04:45.000 That's the reason he is losing.
00:04:46.000 It is not because of the third tier issue that is Israel-Hamas.
00:04:51.000 That is not the issue for Joe Biden.
00:04:53.000 Harry Enten went on to explain, he said, That's equal to the percentage of Republicans overall who say they're extremely motivated to turn out in November.
00:04:58.000 But if they dislike Joe Biden on the Israel-Hamas war, only 53% of Democrats are extremely motivated to vote in 2024.
00:05:03.000 out and vote in November. That's equal to the percentage of Republicans overall who say they're
00:05:06.000 extremely motivated to turn out in November. But if they dislike Joe Biden on the Israel-Hamas war,
00:05:10.000 only 53% of Democrats are extremely motivated to vote in 2024. In other words, if you like
00:05:17.000 Joe Biden's performance on Israel-Hamas, you are more likely to vote for him if you're a Democrat.
00:05:21.000 Like, go out and vote for him.
00:05:23.000 If you don't like it, you're less likely to go out and vote.
00:05:25.000 Harry Enten then suggests that Joe Biden, if he switched his Israel-Hamas policy, would win those 53% of voters back up to 63 or 73%.
00:05:33.000 There's one problem with this logic.
00:05:37.000 It is backwards.
00:05:38.000 The reason that 53% of voters who don't like Joe Biden's policy on Israel Hamas, only 53% of those voters who are Democrats are voting.
00:05:48.000 The reason is because wild left progressives are lower propensity voters than moderate left Democrats.
00:05:54.000 You're talking about a young base of largely people of color
00:05:59.000 who have lower voter turnout records.
00:06:00.000 So he's looking at it backwards.
00:06:01.000 What he should be looking at is low propensity voters think that Joe Biden is too far to the right on Israel.
00:06:06.000 High propensity Democratic voters think that Joe Biden is kind of right on Israel-Hamas.
00:06:11.000 But again, the narrative must be pushed forward.
00:06:14.000 And so you have all of Obama's old buddies John Favreau on Pod Save America is suggesting that Joe Biden should cut off aid to Israel.
00:06:22.000 And this is, of course, increasingly the call.
00:06:24.000 He tweeted out, the president doesn't get credit for being privately enraged
00:06:27.000 when he still refuses to use leverage to stop the IDF from killing and starving innocent people.
00:06:31.000 These stories only make him look weak.
00:06:33.000 That was in response to a story saying, angry Biden not changing Israel policy
00:06:36.000 after deadly strike on aid workers.
00:06:38.000 So again, the idea that the IDF is purposefully killing and starving innocent people is a lie.
00:06:44.000 But it is a lie that is being promoted by the far left and Joe Biden, because he is afraid, is listening to all of this.
00:06:50.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment.
00:06:51.000 First, $20 barely gets you anything these days.
00:06:53.000 You can't fill your gas tank.
00:06:55.000 Barely get a meal for $20.
00:06:56.000 Do you know what $20 will get you?
00:06:58.000 From the cell phone company I use, PeerTalk, you can get unlimited talk, text, and plenty of 5G data for just $20 a month.
00:07:03.000 PeerTalk gives you the same quality of service as your current cell phone provider, but for half the cost.
00:07:07.000 The average family saves almost $1,000 a year, all with no contracts and no activation fees.
00:07:12.000 You can switch to PeerTalk and keep the phone and phone number you currently use, or you can take advantage of their great deals on the latest iPhones and Androids.
00:07:18.000 Making the switch is incredibly easy.
00:07:20.000 Our U.S.
00:07:20.000 customer service team can help you join Pure Talk in as little as 10 minutes.
00:07:24.000 Choose to spend your hard-earned money with a wireless company that shares your values, supports our military and veterans, creates American jobs, and refuses to advertise on, you know, fake news networks.
00:07:32.000 Stop spending a ridiculous amount of money on your phone plan.
00:07:35.000 Go to puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:07:36.000 Right now, my listeners can get an additional 50% off their very first month of coverage.
00:07:40.000 That's puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:07:42.000 Again, puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:07:44.000 I've been using them for years, their coverage is excellent.
00:07:46.000 And right now my listeners get an additional 50% off their first month, puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:07:52.000 This is why you have Corinne Jean-Pierre out there on the White House podium, least talented press secretary of my lifetime, suggesting that Israel should not go into Rafah, which is of course the last Southern city in Gaza, repository of at least four Hamas battalions, Yair Sinwar, the leader of Hamas is probably hiding underground there.
00:08:09.000 One of the reasons, by the way, that Egypt does not want Israel going into Rafah is because there are apparently tunnels from Egypt into Rafah that have been used as gun smuggling routes by terrorists in Egypt.
00:08:18.000 And they are afraid that if Israel goes in there and finds those tunnels, that that will implicate Israel-Egypt relations.
00:08:23.000 In any case, here's Corinne Jean-Pierre giving military advice to the Israelis out of her vast experience in war.
00:08:30.000 We believe there has to be alternative ways to deal with Hamas in Gaza, specifically in Rafah.
00:08:38.000 A military operation, we believe, is not the way to move forward.
00:08:43.000 There is active conversations happening with the Israeli government, and obviously our government, and I think that's important.
00:08:51.000 No, it's very important, except that they have no actual plan.
00:08:54.000 Of course.
00:08:55.000 One of the other people inside the administration who's pushing very hard is the actual president of the United States, Jill Biden.
00:09:00.000 The Edith Wilson of our age.
00:09:01.000 You have a senile old president who's barely hanging on by his fingernails.
00:09:05.000 Jill Biden is out there suggesting that actually Joe Biden is winning the election, but she doesn't actually believe that, as we'll talk about in a moment.
00:09:13.000 How is the campaign going before you go?
00:09:14.000 Oh my gosh, it's going great.
00:09:16.000 I have been traveling every day that I'm not in the classroom.
00:09:20.000 People are excited.
00:09:22.000 And I really feel like, you know, people know the choice this election.
00:09:26.000 They can choose chaos or they can choose, you know, steady wisdom experience.
00:09:32.000 There's not a part of you that's a little worried?
00:09:34.000 No, no.
00:09:35.000 I feel that Joe will be re-elected.
00:09:40.000 Oh, she's not worried at all.
00:09:42.000 Well, apparently she's worried enough by the left flank that she has been telling Joe Biden, according to the New York Times, that he should literally tell Israel to cease fire now, immediately, with hostages still being held by Hamas.
00:09:53.000 According to the New York Times, one of the strongest voices inside the White House urging an end to civilian casualties in Gaza is the person closest to the president, Joe Biden.
00:09:59.000 She's not urging an end to civilian casualties in Gaza.
00:10:01.000 She's urging an end to the war in Gaza, which would leave Hamas in place with at least 50 live hostages still in the possession of Hamas.
00:10:10.000 The unaccounted for hostages still number well over 100.
00:10:13.000 At a meeting with Muslim community members at the White House on Tuesday evening, one guest told President Biden his wife had disapproved of him coming to the meeting because of Biden's support for Israel and its war against Hamas.
00:10:22.000 Biden said he understood.
00:10:23.000 The first lady, he said, had been urging him to stop it, stop it now, according to an attendee who heard his remarks.
00:10:30.000 Asked about the President's remarks, White House officials on Wednesday said there was no daylight between Mr. Biden and the First Lady on the conflict, and the President was just as outraged by the civilian casualties as his wife has been.
00:10:38.000 They also said she was not calling for Israel to end its efforts against Hamas.
00:10:41.000 Yeah, sure.
00:10:43.000 Yeah, right.
00:10:44.000 Again, the left of the Biden administration believes that the reason that he is losing is because he is not far enough to the left.
00:10:50.000 Now, they decided to use as a sort of hook to hang their leftist hat on this horrifying and tragic incident in which seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen, which is run by Chef Jose Andres, were killed in what is best described as a friendly fire incident.
00:11:10.000 It was an incident in which apparently the Israeli Air Force thought that there was a terrorist riding on top of the convoy.
00:11:18.000 They saw an armed man, apparently, according to Haaretz, riding on top of the convoy.
00:11:22.000 That person got off at a particular point.
00:11:25.000 The Israelis thought that the convoy had been taken over by terrorists, and so they struck the convoy, and they were wrong.
00:11:29.000 And they've already apologized, and they've already acknowledged that they were wrong.
00:11:33.000 Now, let me just put this in a little bit of context.
00:11:36.000 Friendly fire incidents in war are extremely common.
00:11:40.000 This is something that Americans really don't have a lot of experience with, because if you don't watch war closely, and if you don't have members of the military in your family, it's almost impossible to think about the horror of being killed by your own side.
00:11:51.000 But the reality is that this sort of stuff happens really a lot.
00:11:56.000 It's always tragic, it's always terrible, and it happens a lot, particularly in situations that are highly populous and in which it is very difficult to tell one side from another.
00:12:04.000 If you look at just the history of friendly fire, during World War II, to take a long ago example, perhaps as many as 56,000 American troops were killed by friendly fire during World War II.
00:12:16.000 That's according to the Rand Institute.
00:12:19.000 During the Iraq War, somewhere between 1 to 2% of American troops killed in Iraq were killed by friendly fire.
00:12:26.000 Right now, because of the very close quarter combat situations in Gaza, at least 30% of
00:12:31.000 all Israelis who are being killed in the Gaza Strip have been killed by friendly fire.
00:12:37.000 And again, this is not rare in the annals of American war.
00:12:39.000 If you go back to 2003, according to PBS, a BBC reporter traveling in a convoy of 8
00:12:46.000 to 10 cars said it came under attack as it approached an area that was recently captured
00:12:49.000 from Iraqi forces.
00:12:52.000 This BBC reporter said, I counted 10 or 12 dead bodies around us.
00:12:56.000 It was an American plane.
00:12:56.000 There are Americans dead.
00:12:58.000 It dropped a bomb right beside us.
00:12:59.000 I saw it land about 10 to 12 feet away.
00:13:01.000 Apparently, the attack killed at least 18 Kurdish fighters and injured another 45.
00:13:05.000 That was 2003.
00:13:06.000 Famously, Pat Tillman, who left the NFL to join the army after 2001, after September 11th.
00:13:12.000 He was killed in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan in 2000.
00:13:19.000 And 15, for example, the US military mistakenly attacked an actual medical hospital, killing 22 people in Afghanistan.
00:13:32.000 And the United States did an investigation late, and then said some words about it, and that was kind of it.
00:13:40.000 During the attempt to go after ISIS in Syria, the United States bombed hospitals in Raqqa.
00:13:47.000 That's according to the Physicians for Human Rights.
00:13:52.000 They pointed out that since the beginning of the conflict, they had documented at least three attacks against Raqqa's National Hospital.
00:13:59.000 It was the only healthcare facility operating to serve tens of thousands of people remaining in the city, according to PHR.
00:14:05.000 In 2018, there was a friendly fire incident that killed at least 11 people.
00:14:10.000 That was in an attempt to kill members of ISIS.
00:14:12.000 According to Reuters, friendly fire from a U.S.-led coalition fighting Daesh—that's ISIS—killed 10 members of an Iraqi security force and a local official in an airstrike west of Baghdad.
00:14:21.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment.
00:14:22.000 First, it's no secret that our healthcare system is the subject of considerable debate.
00:14:26.000 If you've watched the news, you know U.S.
00:14:27.000 pharmacies are not only running out of basic antibiotics, but the current wait time to see a doctor could be up to four weeks.
00:14:32.000 Well, I can't imagine a more helpless feeling than somebody in the family getting sick and a supply chain issue or a doctor's wait list is keeping me from getting a life-saving medication.
00:14:40.000 Well, thankfully, my family has a medical emergency kit from The Wellness Company.
00:14:44.000 It's like having a 24-7 pharmacy.
00:14:46.000 This kit can treat over 39 different medical issues.
00:14:48.000 No other doctor is going to prescribe all of these meds at one time for prevention later, from antibiotics like Z-Pak to reduce sick time to amoxicillin for pneumonia, strep throat, ear infections.
00:14:57.000 The Medical Emergency Kit gives you peace of mind in unforeseen medical emergencies and resource shortages.
00:15:02.000 Every kit includes that Medical Emergency Guidebook as an educational resource for safe use.
00:15:06.000 Don't wait until it's too late, get your medical emergency kit from The Wellness Company today.

00:15:19.000 Don't wait, visit twc.health slash ben, enter promo code ben for your discount today.
00:15:25.000 Now again, friendly fire incidents are extremely common.
00:15:29.000 Treating friendly fire incidents as anything but a horrifying tragedy is a lie.
00:15:34.000 And the worst lie that you can tell about allied forces in Iraq or allied forces in Afghanistan or Israeli forces in Gaza is the lie that they are actively attempting to target people who they are working with.
00:15:46.000 The World Central Kitchen has been working with the Israeli government to get aid into the Gaza Strip.
00:15:53.000 That is why they are there.
00:15:54.000 They've been doing it for six months on end.
00:15:56.000 That doesn't mean that the situation is any less horrifying.
00:15:58.000 It's totally horrifying.
00:16:00.000 But it does mean that there is literally zero evidence or logic to support the idea that Israel would purposefully strike a convoy of aid vehicles for literally no reason.
00:16:10.000 To accomplish what exactly?
00:16:12.000 More world condemnation?
00:16:14.000 More moral equivalence between the IDF and Hamas, which literally does attempt to kill aid workers who are not giving them the aid?
00:16:21.000 But that's exactly what Chef Jose Andres did.
00:16:23.000 So, he's a big celebrity.
00:16:25.000 So, it makes a difference when he says things that are untrue.
00:16:27.000 So here he was yesterday, literally accusing Israel of targeting workers.
00:16:31.000 Deliberately.
00:16:32.000 Now again, there's a difference between they saw a truck with the World Central Kitchen logo on the top that they thought was being driven by terrorists or that had been taken by terrorists, and they knew it was World Central Kitchen workers who were not terrorists and decided to kill them willy-nilly for no reason at all.
00:16:47.000 There is no logic behind it.
00:16:48.000 There would be no rationale behind that at all.
00:16:51.000 It would make literally no sense.
00:16:53.000 As you can see from the world condemnation and from the world's bizarre attempts to turn what is obviously a friendly fire incident into deliberate Israeli killing of aid workers who they had greenlit themselves.
00:17:05.000 But here is Chef Jose Andres saying some things here.
00:17:09.000 What I know is that we were targeted deliberately, non-stop, until everybody was dead in this convoy.
00:17:18.000 That cannot be.
00:17:21.000 That cannot be the role of an army.
00:17:23.000 That cannot be the role of an army that has hundreds of drones above Gaza in any single moment.
00:17:30.000 Humanitarians and civilians should never be paying the consequences of war.
00:17:37.000 This is a basic principle of humanity.
00:17:41.000 At the time, this looks like it's not a war against terrorism anymore.
00:17:46.000 Seems this is a war against humanity itself.
00:17:50.000 That's disgusting.
00:17:51.000 I'm sorry, that's a disgusting statement.
00:17:54.000 It truly is gross.
00:17:55.000 It's morally gross to suggest that a friendly fire incident is a war against humanity itself.
00:17:59.000 It's an accident and a friendly fire incident.
00:18:02.000 And the attempt to make a moral equivalence between Israel hitting an aid convoy in a case of mistaken identity, and Hamas literally holding hostages right this moment on purpose, killing civilians on purpose, You want the humanitarian crisis in Gaza to end?
00:18:21.000 Hamas could surrender right now.
00:18:23.000 Not only is Hamas not surrendering, they're not even negotiating anymore because they believe that they have the world on their side because the world is so eager to declare a moral equivalence between an actual terrorist group and an actual army.
00:18:34.000 But again, I don't think we should be particularly surprised by Chef Andres here.
00:18:38.000 He's a very passionate person.
00:18:39.000 He says things that are uncalibrated about foreign policy literally all the time.
00:18:44.000 Back in 2018, for example, he actually accused the United States of what he called a passive genocide.
00:18:50.000 With regard to Hurricane Maria, he said, he was tweeting at somebody who he didn't like, Don't insult me, son of a smelly rotten sunchoke.
00:18:58.000 Presidents had only 16 deaths at the time, minimizing the hundreds of American deaths early on, probably thousands by now.
00:19:03.000 Katrina response was slow, but eventually Bush activated a response, Maria is passive genocide of Americans.
00:19:09.000 So he's literally calling the American response to Hurricane Maria back in 2018 a genocide.
00:19:15.000 If you fast forward to 2022, he was accusing Israel of killing children, women, and civilians.
00:19:22.000 He said, Israel will never be safe for killing children, women, and civilians.
00:19:24.000 Big power should always show restraint.
00:19:26.000 Bombing cities is no the way.
00:19:28.000 Killing people is never the way.
00:19:29.000 Longer tables and peace is the only way.
00:19:32.000 That was in 2022, long before this current conflict, suggesting that Israel was targeting children, women, and civilians.
00:19:38.000 And then from very early on in the conflict, he was doing much the same thing.
00:19:43.000 He literally called for a ceasefire October 20th.
00:19:47.000 That was like one week after Israel started airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
00:19:52.000 October 7th and October 20th were separated by less than two weeks, and he was calling for a ceasefire.
00:19:56.000 Quote, thank you, Secretary Blinken, but we need a ceasefire now in order for humanitarian aid to reach all the Palestinians in need.
00:20:05.000 That was October 20th he was calling for a ceasefire.
00:20:08.000 January 6th, he literally denied that Hamas was hijacking aid, which we know is false.
00:20:12.000 We know that Hamas was hijacking aid.
00:20:13.000 He said, is not true.
00:20:15.000 They are security guards or Palestinian police providing safety and control of the masses
00:20:18.000 that are starving.
00:20:19.000 If they are Hamas, they will last a second riding in the open top on trucks for hours.
00:20:22.000 So again, notice the contrast in what he's saying.
00:20:26.000 He is saying here that if they were Hamas, Israel would drone them.
00:20:30.000 And then he's also saying that if Israel accidentally drones a truck, it's because they are, on purpose, droning the truck.
00:20:35.000 So apparently Israel is absolutely perfect at this, according to Chef Jose Andres.
00:20:40.000 It's like 12 or more drones looking at them.
00:20:41.000 They will be hit by the IDF.
00:20:44.000 Get to more on this momentarily.

00:21:14.000 That's gcu.edu.
00:21:17.000 Then, of course, he thanks Mehdi Hassan, who has been a Hamas propagandist during this situation.
00:21:23.000 When Mehdi Hassan was booted from MSNBC for low ratings, he lost his show there.
00:21:29.000 So he put out a statement.
00:21:30.000 Thank you, Mehdi, for always giving a voice to the voiceless and speaking truth to power.
00:21:34.000 And then, of course, fast forward to February.
00:21:37.000 This is, you know, a month ago.
00:21:39.000 And he was tweeting out, Now again, that is a lie.
00:21:41.000 more needs to be done to stop the deaths and suffering of Palestinian children, of hospitals being bombed.
00:21:46.000 Now again, that is a lie.
00:21:48.000 Israel was not bombing hospitals indiscriminately.
00:21:51.000 USA can support Israel right to defend itself at the same time USA should be asking Israel to stop targeting
00:21:56.000 civilians and hospitals and tent camps and better a ceasefire.
00:22:00.000 And then at the very end, with the liberation of all hostages.
00:22:02.000 Well, Hamas is not releasing all the hostages and you're still calling for a ceasefire today.
00:22:06.000 So again, this is not to rip on Chef Jose Andres when he's in the middle of something that must be horrifying for him.
00:22:14.000 I'm sure he knew all the people who were killed.
00:22:16.000 It is to suggest that this is a person with a particular political bent who's been saying uncalibrated things about Israel's activities while Israel has been actively working with his organization to get aid in.
00:22:26.000 Why does that matter?
00:22:27.000 Because when you lie, when you say things that are untrue about a situation like this, what you are doing is you are handing Hamas a victory.
00:22:35.000 The thing that Hamas wants more than anything right now is for there to be world pressure on Israel to stop before Israel can finish off Hamas and Rafah.
00:22:43.000 It's the thing they want more than anything.
00:22:45.000 And they believe they have it.
00:22:46.000 They believe that they have world opinion on their side now, which is why Israel has offered a six-week ceasefire today.
00:22:54.000 And Hamas walked away from the table.
00:22:56.000 Why?
00:22:57.000 Because they don't care how many civilians die, they want more civilians to die.
00:22:59.000 They're interested in more starvation.
00:23:02.000 Hamas wants more people dead.
00:23:03.000 More people dead means more pressure on Israel.
00:23:05.000 Hamas is in the beautiful PR position of being able to hold hostage all of Gaza by refusing to surrender.
00:23:14.000 And then suggesting that if Israel doesn't allow them to survive and continue to threaten Israel, then it's Israel's fault.
00:23:20.000 So of course that set of perverse incentives has led Hamas to effectively disengage from negotiations.
00:23:25.000 According to the Times of Israel, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh said his terror group at war with Israel is sticking to its conditions for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, including a complete Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza.
00:23:35.000 Haniyeh said, quote, we are committed to our demands, a permanent ceasefire, a comprehensive and complete withdrawal of the enemy out of the Gaza Strip, the return of all displaced people to their homes, allowing all aid needed for our people in Gaza, rebuilding the Strip, lifting the blockade, and achieving an honorable prisoner exchange deal.
00:23:51.000 So again, they know that they've basically got Israel in a PR bind.
00:23:57.000 And that PR bind is entirely the fault of a foolish media and a foolish West that have decided that after a terrorist group starts a war with a much larger and more powerful power, that it is the job of the larger and more powerful power to be absolutely anodyne in its response.
00:24:15.000 That war will suddenly become not messy.
00:24:18.000 And no matter how much aid Israel lets in, Israel will still be blamed for starvation, despite the fact they're allowing hundreds of trucks into an active war zone.
00:24:25.000 Again, I've never even seen anything like this militarily.
00:24:27.000 You're not talking about a counter-insurgency effort right now.
00:24:30.000 You're talking about an ongoing war.
00:24:32.000 This would be the equivalent, not, of the United States trying to facilitate aid into Iraq after the fall of the Iraqi army.
00:24:37.000 It would be the equivalent of the United States attempting to facilitate aid into Iraq, into Baghdad, in the middle of a war with the actual Saddam Hussein Iraqi army.
00:24:46.000 It'd be like the United States in the middle of a battle with the Taliban in 2002, like right at the very beginning, the first three weeks of the conflict, and they're trying to get aid in to Kabul while the Taliban is still in control of Kabul.
00:24:57.000 That's what you're talking about.
00:24:59.000 Israel has tentative military control, but is facing actual firefights every single day and people are being killed every single day.
00:25:06.000 But the idea is that if Israel doesn't magic MREs into the hands of people, With Hamas attempting to shoot at them, or if Israel makes a mistake while that's happening, then it must be that this war has to stop and Hamas has to remain in power.
00:25:21.000 This seems to be the prevailing foreign policy idea on nearly all sides at this point.
00:25:28.000 Is that if war is imperfect, war must end.
00:25:30.000 Well, I mean, good luck.
00:25:32.000 If that is the way that Americans are going to think about war, or Westerners are going to think about war, we will never win another war.
00:25:36.000 It's just that simple.
00:25:37.000 Because all the incentive structures are then on the side of the people who are willing to fight a dirty war.
00:25:41.000 The dirtier the war, the uglier the war, the more we don't want to be involved in the war.
00:25:45.000 But we're not even involved in the war as Americans.
00:25:48.000 The United States is not directly involved in Israel-Gaza.
00:25:52.000 The United States, on a real foreign policy level, has an interest in the extirpation of Hamas.
00:25:58.000 That would be good for the United States.
00:26:00.000 It is an Iranian terror proxy arm that threatens American allies in the region.
00:26:05.000 That is also threatening, by the way, to topple the Jordanian regime, which is an American ally in the region.
00:26:10.000 There's a reason that Egypt does not want any of the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip traveling into Egypt.
00:26:15.000 They're afraid they'll destabilize the regime over there, the way they destabilized the regime in Lebanon.
00:26:20.000 So it's very much in the United States' real politic interest for Israel to be unshackled in its pursuit of Hamas.
00:26:28.000 We're not talking about putting American troops on the ground.
00:26:30.000 Nobody wants American troops on the ground.
00:26:31.000 I don't even want America building a humanitarian aid bridge in the Mediterranean.
00:26:35.000 We shouldn't have American troops anywhere near this area.
00:26:38.000 It's an absurdity that Joe Biden is putting troops in that particular area while simultaneously doing the dirty work of the Iranians.
00:26:44.000 He's literally funding both sides of this war.
00:26:47.000 It's totally insane.
00:26:48.000 You wonder why people disapprove of Joe Biden's position?
00:26:50.000 Because he doesn't have one.
00:26:52.000 He's all over the damn place.
00:26:55.000 But the end result of that is, of course, that America's enemies grow stronger.
00:27:00.000 And Joe Biden has been completely unable in every foreign policy context to explain exactly what he is doing.
00:27:05.000 He's taken halfway positions on every single conflict.
00:27:08.000 He has slow-walked aid to the Ukrainians while claiming that the Ukrainians are going to be able to fight this war ad infinitum with no end.
00:27:16.000 Which, again, is a bizarre position for the United States to take.
00:27:20.000 The actual position of the United States should be that the Ukrainians should be funded sufficient to prevent their collapse to the Russians.
00:27:29.000 But because Joe Biden says, we are going to do this until quote-unquote victory, where victory is undefined, the American public is not on board.
00:27:35.000 Meanwhile, in a war where the victory aim is very clearly defined, the extirpation of Hamas and restoration of security controlling the Gaza Strip, Joe Biden's like, that can't be our goal.
00:27:46.000 I don't know when the West became unaccustomed to defining the goal of victory and then actually achieving it, but we haven't won a war for a very long time in the West, like truly won a war for a super long time in the West.
00:27:55.000 And the reason is twofold.
00:27:56.000 One, we have no stomach for war, and two, we have no stomach for victory.
00:28:00.000 So we won't even define victory, and then we won't do what's necessary in order to achieve victory, or even let our allies do what's necessary in order to achieve victory.
00:28:08.000 That is the current state of play, by the way, in Ukraine.

00:29:11.000 According to Politico, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is making dire warnings
00:29:16.000 According to Zelensky, unless the stalled a multi-billion dollar package from the United States is soon approved, his forces will have to go back, retreat step by step in small steps.
00:29:24.000 He also warned some major cities could be at risk of falling.
00:29:28.000 Now, obviously, he's saying that because he wants the aid, but apparently it also happens to be true.
00:29:32.000 According to high-ranking Ukrainian military officers who served under General Valery Zhiluzhny, the commander-in-chief of Ukraine's armed forces until he was replaced in February, the military picture is grim.
00:29:41.000 Officers said there's a great risk of the front lines collapsing wherever Russian generals decide to focus their offensive.
00:29:46.000 Moreover, thanks to a much greater weight in numbers and the guided aerial bombs that have been smashing Ukrainian positions for weeks now, Russia will likely be able to penetrate the front line and to crash it in some parts.
00:29:56.000 According to one of the top-ranking military sources, there's nothing that can help Ukraine now because there are no serious technologies able to compensate Ukraine for the large mass of troops Russia is likely to hurl at us.
00:30:04.000 We don't have those technology and the West doesn't have them as well in sufficient numbers.
00:30:09.000 This presumably is one of the reasons why Ukraine is now lowering the age of conscription to 25.
00:30:13.000 So Ukraine has very weird sort of conscription rule.
00:30:17.000 So, they tried to exempt people who were younger, which is sort of the reverse of most conscription efforts.
00:30:22.000 Usually, if you had a draft in the United States, it would start at the age of 18, and you'd largely focus on young men.
00:30:28.000 In Ukraine, it's been focusing on middle-aged people and then gradually drifting down.
00:30:31.000 So it started at the age of 27, and they're moving it down to 25.
00:30:35.000 The change apparently comes as Ukraine's defensive lines come under heavy pressure from massive Russian assaults.
00:30:39.000 Frontline commanders say they're short of personnel and ammunition, as a supplemental aid package is stuck in Congress.
00:30:44.000 Ukrainian officers say they're expecting Russia to mount a significant offensive around the start of the summer, which is aimed at expanding the nearly 20% of territory the invading forces already occupy.
00:30:53.000 Zelensky says the military has requested 500,000 more soldiers.
00:30:58.000 Unclear exactly whether they're going to get the 500,000 more soldiers at this point.
00:31:02.000 So I have a question.
00:31:03.000 What exactly is the foreign policy of the United States here?
00:31:05.000 Joe Biden has called for increased aid, but he's not making these sort of concessions in the House that would be necessary in order to get that aid.
00:31:12.000 So does he actually want Ukraine to be able to survive in the face of all of this?
00:31:16.000 All he had to do was pass some border control provisions in the Senate, and this thing sails through the House.
00:31:22.000 But it didn't.
00:31:23.000 Meanwhile, the discombobulation on foreign policy is on all sides.
00:31:27.000 Yesterday, Marjorie Taylor Greene speculated that the House Speaker, Mike Johnson, who you'll remember, was voted in to replace Kevin McCarthy because Kevin McCarthy was apparently too woke or some such nonsense.
00:31:38.000 She is now suggesting that Mike Johnson is being blackmailed because he is supporting a budgetary process that includes aid to Ukraine, aid to Taiwan, aid to Israel.
00:31:47.000 Now, this sort of speculative garbage really is stupid.
00:31:51.000 That is not how legislation works.
00:31:54.000 The reason that the Speaker of the House is going to pass a piece of legislation that Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't like is because there are still these people called Democrats and they run the Senate and they are also in the White House.
00:32:03.000 And it is thanks to the unworkability of the Republican majority that that Republican majority has been shrinking radically because it turns out that many principled conservatives in Congress don't want to work in this absolute bleep show that the Republican House has become.
00:32:15.000 But here's Marjorie Taylor Greene implying that Mike Johnson is being blackmailed or bribed or something with Tucker.
00:32:22.000 But no, Mike Johnson has made a complete departure of who he is and what he stands for.
00:32:28.000 And to the point where people are literally asking, is he blackmailed?
00:32:32.000 What is wrong with him?
00:32:34.000 Because he's completely disconnected with what we want.
00:32:37.000 Do you think he is being blackmailed?
00:32:39.000 I have no idea.
00:32:40.000 I can't comprehend, Tucker, what radically changes a man.
00:32:44.000 I mean, if we break down the second part of basically an omnibus, let's break that down.
00:32:51.000 He completely changed who he was, funded the FBI, gave him a brand new building,
00:32:56.000 fully funded the Department of Justice that is persecuting everyone on the right,
00:33:00.000 and actually targeting our presidential candidate for election this year, literally trying to put
00:33:07.000 him in jail the rest of his life. We don't know who Mike Johnson is anymore, so there's no—I
00:33:12.000 can't comprehend it. Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is the speaker of the House and he has to govern.
00:33:19.000 time.
00:33:20.000 This sort of conspiratorial nonsense is silly.
00:33:22.000 Not only is it silly, the foreign policy prescriptions that suggest that it would be somehow in America's interest for Ukraine to fall to the Russians.
00:33:29.000 Or that it would be in America's interest for Taiwan to be threatened increasingly by China?
00:33:33.000 Or that it would be in America's interest for Hamas to be left intact in the Gaza Strip?
00:33:40.000 I just want to know what's America's real po... These... The people who say this sort of stuff, they act as though they're being hard-headed about America's interests.
00:33:45.000 I'm wondering, what is America's interest in that?
00:33:48.000 How would it be good for America, for Russia to take Ukraine?
00:33:52.000 And when people say, well, we can't afford it.
00:33:53.000 Yes, we can't afford anything.
00:33:54.000 Let's be clear about this.
00:33:56.000 The United States budget is $7 trillion a year.
00:33:59.000 We are currently $34 trillion in debt.
00:34:03.000 Somewhere around 7% of our annual federal budget is spent just on the interest payments.
00:34:08.000 When it comes to foreign aid, which is the thing that people are complaining about when it comes to Ukraine or Israel or Taiwan, that constitutes all foreign aid, all of it.
00:34:18.000 That constitutes under 1% of the federal budget.
00:34:22.000 Now you can say that you don't like the aid or you think that it's not worth spending.
00:34:26.000 Okay, you have to make the case then as to what the alternative would be.
00:34:30.000 What are the predictable results of that aid not going out?
00:34:33.000 Make the case, seriously.
00:34:34.000 But if the case is we're spending too much money, I would urge you to look at the other 99% of American spending that is actually funding our massive deficit, year on year.
00:34:44.000 And logic, I think, has left the building.
00:34:46.000 I think right now American politics is a series of thrashings and impulses.
00:34:50.000 That is not going to be good for America midterm or long term.
00:34:54.000 It's not even going to be good for America short term.
00:34:56.000 OK, in just one second, we'll get to the only possible restoration, by the way, of any logic here.
00:35:01.000 Amazingly, is Donald Trump being elected president, but he's in legal trouble.
00:35:04.000 We'll get to that in just one second.
00:35:06.000 First, The Daily Wire.
00:35:08.000 We did something weird.
00:35:09.000 We decided to give Matt Walsh a robe, a gavel, and an all-new series, introducing Judged by Matt Walsh on DailyWare+.
00:35:15.000 That is correct.
00:35:15.000 It appears an individual in the DailyWare's ranks deemed it fitting to grant the most hypercritical human being on Earth the authority of a bona fide judge.
00:35:23.000 I just want to remind you, I actually went to Harvard Law School and I am licensed in the state of California, but the judge is Matt Walsh.
00:35:30.000 Take a look at the official trailer for the new DailyWare Plus series, Judged by Matt Walsh, right now.
00:35:37.000 All rise for the Honorable Judge Walsh.
00:35:40.000 Please be seated.

00:35:51.000 Yes, Your Honor.
00:35:52.000 Ms.
00:35:52.000 Singh.
00:35:53.000 Yes.
00:35:53.000 At 30,000 feet, my lips exploded.
00:35:55.000 Why would I pay rent to somebody who had sex with my sister?
00:35:58.000 A dog bit my finger.
00:35:59.000 He's allergic to, like, the grass.
00:36:00.000 If he didn't want me to drive the car, he would've took the key I had with him.
00:36:05.000 Has anyone told you you're the worst negotiator that's ever lived?
00:36:07.000 I've never been more annoyed than I am in this moment.
00:36:09.000 Not even close.
00:36:19.000 That does it.
00:36:20.000 it, please get the hell out of my courtroom.
00:36:36.000 Be the first to see Judged by Matt Walsh, Tuesday, April 9th at 8 p.m.

00:36:48.000 For the record, I will never call him Your Honor.
00:36:50.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden is in serious electoral trouble.
00:36:53.000 Again, as we say, so much of what Joe Biden is doing right now is being driven by the fact that his left wing keeps telling him that if he drives further to the left, he's going to win, which is insane.
00:37:01.000 And he should be moving toward the middle.
00:37:03.000 Donald Trump is actually occupying that middle space in American politics right now.
00:37:07.000 So the Democrats have a plan, which is to put him in jail.
00:37:10.000 According to Axios, a Manhattan judge on Wednesday denied former President Trump's attempt to delay the start of his New York hush money trial.
00:37:16.000 The presumptive GOP presidential nominee had asked to delay the trial set for April 15th until the Supreme Court rules on his presidential immunity claims.
00:37:23.000 Judge Juan Amerchan wrote in his Wednesday decision that Trump had myriad opportunities to raise the claim of presidential immunity well before March 7th, 2024.
00:37:31.000 The defendant's motion was denied in its entirety as untimely, according to the judge.
00:37:36.000 He faces 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
00:37:38.000 That's because every single payment that Michael Cohen made to Stormy Daniels, they're counting as a separate count.
00:37:43.000 This is the weakest of the indictments against him, but, hell, it's in New York, so they might convict him anyway.
00:37:49.000 And then, presumably, the judge would throw the book at him, because whichever judge throws the book at Donald Trump gets a nice, fat book deal.
00:37:55.000 He has to be on the TVs.
00:37:57.000 Because that's the way our criminal justice system works if the opposing party is apparently in the dock.
00:38:01.000 Meanwhile, the special counsel, Jack Smith, who is running two separate trials against Donald Trump, He's running the trial against Donald Trump in Florida over classified documents mishandling.
00:38:12.000 He's also running the January 6th trial up in Washington, D.C.
00:38:15.000 Right now, he's spending his days attacking the judge in the classified documents case.
00:38:20.000 According to the Washington Post, special counsel Jack Smith warned the judge overseeing Donald Trump's classified documents case she is pursuing a legal premise that is wrong and said he would probably appeal to a higher court if she rules a federal records law can protect the former president from prosecution.
00:38:34.000 In a late-night filing on Tuesday, Smith's office pushed back hard against an unusual instruction from U.S.
00:38:39.000 District Judge Eileen Cannon, one that veteran national security lawyers and former judges have said badly misinterprets the Presidential Records Act and laws related to classified documents.
00:38:49.000 Last month, Cannon ordered defense lawyers and prosecutors in the case to submit hypothetical jury instructions based on two different and very much contested readings of the Presidential Records Act.
00:38:58.000 In response, Smith said Cannon was pursuing a fundamentally flawed legal premise that the law somehow overrides Section 793 of the Espionage Act, which is the mishandling of classified documentations.
00:39:08.000 He said that legal premise is wrong.
00:39:10.000 A jury instruction for section 793 that reflects that premise would distort the trial.
00:39:14.000 He said the Presidential Records Act should not play any role in the trial at all.
00:39:18.000 This is an unusual filing because he's seeking a direct confrontation with the judge.
00:39:24.000 How Cannon responds is going to be quite interesting.
00:39:28.000 So you now have Jack Smith at war with the judge in the Trump special counsel case.
00:39:33.000 And again, if she's wrong, presumably she will be overruled on appeal.
00:39:36.000 There's some talk about the possibility that she is removed from the case.
00:39:42.000 Now, is that actually going to happen?
00:39:43.000 I see very little evidence she's going to be removed from that case.
00:39:45.000 Suffice it to say that Donald Trump's legal docket is going to be very much filled all the way up until the election.
00:39:52.000 And in some ways, that actually helps him.
00:39:54.000 Because let's face it, covering these legal trials is super boring.
00:39:56.000 It's really, really boring.
00:39:58.000 Everyone already has an opinion on whether Donald Trump should go to jail or not.
00:40:01.000 Very little of that is based on the legal The legal issues at play in these cases.
00:40:05.000 People who hate Trump want him in jail.
00:40:06.000 People who like Trump want him to be president.
00:40:08.000 That's kind of the way that this works.
00:40:10.000 With that said, if everything Trump related from now until the election is just legal headlines, and everything Joe Biden related is the world is on fire, then Joe Biden has a very serious problem on his hands.
00:40:21.000 Meanwhile, speaking of the world being on fire, the situation in New York continues to be a complete disaster area.
00:40:27.000 Yesterday, six migrant squatters in New York were actually released without bail after they were arrested for drug and gun violations.
00:40:35.000 This is according to Fox News.
00:40:37.000 Eight were arrested on those drug and gun charges, but six were released on bail, including D'Souza Volalta, who at one point had an attempted murder charge here in New York.
00:40:48.000 Now, police say not only did they find four guns, they found a ghost gun inside of that basement apartment.
00:40:54.000 They found two bags of ketamine and cocaine inside of there.
00:40:59.000 So ultimately, this is what we have, eight migrant squatters who were arrested on gun and drug charges.
00:41:05.000 Six of them were released on Without bail, and now three that have been arrested by ICE removal officers right in front of our cameras.
00:41:14.000 Okay, so some are being arrested, some are being released without bail, they'll be released out locally, arrested by ICE, may be deported.
00:41:20.000 All of this is incredibly weakly.
00:41:22.000 I mean, the fact is that the left-wing jurisdictions like New York have decided to go soft on crime, and then simultaneously they're complaining about it.
00:41:31.000 So here's New York Mayor Eric Adams, who was really elected to fight crime, He was elected in the aftermath of terrible communist mayor Bill de Blasio, who blew up the crime rate in New York City.
00:41:41.000 And he was elected largely because he was seen as a pro-police force.
00:41:44.000 And here he was, saying pro-police words, but have the policies changed all that much in New York City?
00:41:50.000 We know the biggest challenge that we are facing, I say over and over again, is three areas.
00:41:55.000 Recidivism, recidivism, recidivism.
00:41:58.000 There are too many bad people who are doing bad things to good people of this city, and they believe they have the right to do that.
00:42:04.000 A small number of people are committing a large number of crimes.
00:42:09.000 Well, yes, that's why you should keep them in jail for prolonged periods of time.
00:42:13.000 This is not particularly tough.
00:42:14.000 It turns out that jail is an amazing place to keep criminals.
00:42:16.000 And the longer you keep them there, the fewer of them are out to commit more crimes.
00:42:21.000 But the left has decided that jails are essentially bad, and so we have to just let people out without bail, give people short sentences, let them out as fast as humanly possible, and then we are surprised when, again, The crime rates increase.
00:42:38.000 And meanwhile, when it comes to the economy again, most Americans do not like the state of the economy.
00:42:41.000 Jerome Powell is trying to happy talk this thing.
00:42:44.000 He is suggesting that the Federal Reserve is still going to cut rates this year.
00:42:47.000 He's saying that sort of stuff because every time he says that the Federal Reserve is not going to cut rates this year, the stock market takes a dump.
00:42:53.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, stronger than anticipated economic activity this year has not changed the Federal Reserve's broad expectations that declining inflation will allow for interest rate cuts this year.
00:43:02.000 Powell pointed to signs that labor market conditions are less tight than they have been in recent years, a view that has eased concerns paychecks and prices might rise in tandem.
00:43:10.000 However, signs of firmer than expected inflation in January and February Have actually created a bit of a conundrum.
00:43:17.000 Apparently, Powell said it hasn't shaken the Fed's stance that price growth will continue to slow down despite some bumps.
00:43:22.000 He said the recent data do not materially change the overall picture, which continues to be one of solid growth, a strong but rebalancing labor market, and inflation moving down to 2% on a sometimes bumpy path.
00:43:31.000 Now, here's the thing.
00:43:32.000 The economy can in fact be getting better.
00:43:33.000 Inflation can in fact be improving quarter on quarter.
00:43:36.000 Still, the inflation that happened is embedded in the price structure.
00:43:40.000 So if you've had wage gains in the past couple quarters, after tremendous wage erosion for the past three years, that's not going to make up for it.
00:43:48.000 It's like having your paycheck slashed every month for three years, and then you got a little bit of a raise the last two months, and everyone's like, well, you should be happy now you're getting a raise.
00:43:55.000 That's not the way any of this works.
00:43:57.000 Americans' perceptions of the economy are baked in by three years of failing economic policy from the Biden administration.
00:44:03.000 Again, that is the real reason why Joe Biden is having a very tough time in this election.
00:44:09.000 It is not because he's not taking a left-wing enough position on any of this sort of stuff.
00:44:13.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment.
00:44:14.000 First, did you know a baby's heart begins to beat at just three weeks?
00:44:17.000 At five weeks, that heartbeat can be heard on ultrasound.
00:44:19.000 This can sometimes be the only defense in the womb.
00:44:22.000 That's where Preborn steps in.
00:44:23.000 Preborn rescues 200 babies every single day from abortion simply by giving moms an ultrasound.
00:44:29.000 After hearing her child's heartbeat and seeing its perfectly formed body in the womb, she's twice as likely to choose life.

00:45:11.000 Well, meanwhile, Joe Biden, you know, that guy who's supposed to be tacking to the middle yesterday, he actually literally had Bernie Sanders to the White House to talk about health care.
00:45:18.000 No, I'm sure most Americans are eager for Joe Biden to appease Bernie Sanders on health care.
00:45:23.000 According to the Associated Press, President Biden teamed up with Senator Bernie Sanders on Wednesday to promote his administration's efforts to lower the cost of inhalers and other health care needs.
00:45:32.000 Bernie, you and I have been fighting this for 25 years, said Biden to Sanders.
00:45:36.000 Finally, we beat Big Pharma.
00:45:37.000 Finally.
00:45:38.000 Now, again, I gotta tell you, there are a lot of problems with Big Pharma, obviously.
00:45:42.000 And Big Pharma has an interest in pushing drugs as more effective than they are.
00:45:46.000 Big Pharma works hand-in-glove with the FDA.
00:45:49.000 All of that may be true.
00:45:50.000 Also, every drug that you use and is actually useful to you has been produced by Big Pharma.
00:45:55.000 That is the reality.
00:45:56.000 When your mom has cancer, it's Big Pharma that is dealing with her problem.
00:46:00.000 Joe Biden's attempts to dump all of the problems of the healthcare system at the lap of the people who do the actual R&D is really pathetic and trying to please Bernie Sanders, who is legitimately one of the most useless people ever to have walked the planet.
00:46:12.000 Bernie Sanders is a bag of useless.
00:46:15.000 I cannot state this enough.
00:46:17.000 He is a net drain on society's resources, Bernie Sanders.
00:46:20.000 As soon as he's been on the taxpayer dime for five decades, he has produced zero major pieces of legislation.
00:46:27.000 He represents a state with seven white people and three moose.
00:46:32.000 And yet he has been treated as some sort of great halcyon of economic knowledge, despite being so useless that he was once thrown off a commune for failure to do work.
00:46:43.000 There's not enough scorn in my body for Bernie Sanders.
00:46:45.000 He really is just a pathetic specimen of our typical political class.
00:46:52.000 Well, apparently, Biden thinks he needs Bernie.
00:46:54.000 He thinks Bernie is going to push him to victory.
00:46:58.000 The political malpractice here is just stunning.
00:46:59.000 Both men touted the lower health care costs that came through the Democrats' sweeping
00:47:03.000 climate health care and tax package Biden signed into law in 2022.
00:47:06.000 It caps various health care costs for those on Medicare, including $35 a month for insulin,
00:47:10.000 which again, the vast majority of people were already getting insulin for lower than that
00:47:13.000 cost, and $2,000 a year for prescription drugs.
00:47:17.000 Okay, now again, you can cap costs however you want.
00:47:20.000 The availability of the drugs is the real question.
00:47:23.000 It turns out that if these companies are unable to produce profit on the drugs, they stop producing them altogether.
00:47:28.000 They stop doing R&D on new drugs.
00:47:31.000 The top drugmaker lobby called Biden's comments Wednesday, quote, a missed opportunity, saying he failed to address how some other industries, like health insurance companies, are also driving up the cost of medications.
00:47:40.000 Well, yes, that would be definitely one of the big problems.
00:47:44.000 Also, if Joe Biden actually wanted to use his power as president to lower the cost of drugs for Americans, he could actually leverage foreign countries into paying their fair share.
00:47:52.000 It's funny, Joe Biden always wants the quote-unquote rich to pay their fair share, by which he means apparently everything.
00:47:57.000 That's only for rich Americans.
00:47:58.000 When he's talking about foreign countries, he wants them to be able to free ride on America's healthcare spending.
00:48:03.000 That's how it works.
00:48:04.000 Canada is paying much lower prices for drugs because they've essentially said to U.S.
00:48:08.000 drug makers, we will only pay you X. And the only reason that those drug makers are able to go along with that deal is because the United States does not cap the drug prices.
00:48:16.000 There are two ways of dealing with that.
00:48:18.000 One is to forcibly cap drug prices by having Medicare.
00:48:21.000 Negotiate the spending.
00:48:22.000 The problem with that is that no one is paying the fair price, which means no one develops new drugs.
00:48:27.000 It's like rent control.
00:48:28.000 The other way to do that is that the United States goes to Canada and they say, listen, we understand that you are paying unfair prices for your drugs.
00:48:34.000 So here's the deal.
00:48:35.000 We are now going to apply economic leverage to our much smaller northern neighbor.
00:48:39.000 And you are now going to pay the market price for these drugs because it's an American company.
00:48:43.000 And we have an interest in American companies continuing to produce these drugs.
00:48:48.000 We actually do have some leverage in this sphere, but Joe Biden ain't gonna do that.
00:48:51.000 Instead, he's just gonna rip on private industry, the only creator of innovation in human history in any real measure.
00:48:59.000 Private industry, even in combination with government, it's private industry that is leading the way.
00:49:05.000 Yes, obviously there have been situations in which the military developed early stage tech, and then it was private industry that drove it to the broader public.
00:49:12.000 Always and forever.
00:49:15.000 But, gotta put pressure on private industry, because obviously you gotta please Bernie Sanders supporters.
00:49:18.000 It's the only way to go.
00:49:20.000 I'm telling you, if Joe Biden continues to pursue this strategy, if he continues to push to the left, to the left, to the left, he's going to lose.
00:49:26.000 And then, presumably, the Democratic Party will blame him for being too moderate.
00:49:30.000 That's the way all politics works these days, because everyone is, um, stupid.
