Summary

In this episode, we take a look at World War 3 and the events that led up to it, and how the United States came so close to nuclear war with the Soviet Union in the late 1950s and early 1960s, that it almost led us to the brink of nuclear war. Today, we re going to look at what happened in the lead-up to the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Suez Canal Crisis, and why the U.S. did what it did in order to try to prevent a nuclear attack on Cuba. We re also going to talk about the reasons why the USSR didn t attack Cuba and why it didn t try to take control of Egypt. And finally, we talk about what happened when the Israelis and the British and French stepped in to help the Americans liberate the S.E.C. from the Egyptian leader Gamal El Farah Nasser and liberate the Egyptian people from Nasser s grip on power. And how that led to the creation of the modernized Egypt. and modernized the Middle East, and to the end of the Cold War, and the birth of the Arab-American relations between the West and the USSR a world where the USSR and the Arabs in the mid-twentieth century as a result of the Cuban missile crisis in 1962, and what we know today as World War III. We re looking at the events leading up to that crisis, and after that crisis. What happened and what could have happened and how it could have been prevented and what might have been done to prevent it. and why we should have been prepared for such a world war in the first place. Why a nuclear war could happen and how to prepare for it why we need to be prepared for a nuclear world war what we should be prepared to be ready for one how we should prepare for one, not just now, not now, but in the future, not tomorrow, not in the next 30 years not in 2040, not 2060, not ever, but now, in the coming decades, and in the meantime, in 2060 What s going to happen in the not so distant future the next 50 years, and not in 2030, and so on, and beyond . and so much more we ll be prepared, and the next, and so much so, more , and , and more.

00:00:00.000 Today, I want to talk about World War 3 and how World War 3 could happen.
00:00:04.000 To understand how World War 3 could happen, we should look historically at the closest that the world has gotten to World War 3 since the end of World War 2.
00:00:13.000 The world came closest to World War 3 during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 when the Soviet Union attempted to ship nuclear-tipped missiles into Cuba, and the United States put a blockade around Cuba to prevent just that from happening.
00:00:25.000 Essentially, the United States and the USSR stood eye-to-eyeball And eventually the USSR backed down.
00:00:31.000 That was very, very close.
00:00:32.000 And everybody knows how close that was.
00:00:34.000 It's become an incredibly famous incident, not only in foreign relations, but in American history.
00:00:38.000 But to understand why we came so close to the brink of nuclear war in 1962, you actually have to reverse field for a few years.
00:00:46.000 The reality is that the USSR started to challenge the United States so strenuously around the world because of about a decade of weakness in American foreign policy.
00:00:55.000 This is how world wars break out.
00:00:56.000 The way that world wars break out is miscalculation.
00:00:59.000 They break out because one side believes that the other side is likely to cave in the face of its aggression.
00:01:04.000 And that's particularly true when the United States shows its neck to its enemies.
00:01:09.000 So to really understand what was happening in the lead up to the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, you really have to reverse field to about 1956.
00:01:16.000 So 1956, Dwight D. Eisenhower is president.
00:01:20.000 And there is a crisis that emerges in the Middle East.
00:01:23.000 That crisis involves the Suez Canal.
00:01:25.000 There's a leader of Egypt, a nationalist, pan-Arab nationalist leader of Egypt named Nasser.
00:01:30.000 And Nasser decides that he is going to unite all the Arab countries by essentially flexing muscle in the face of the West.
00:01:36.000 And so he decides that despite the fact that he had nothing to do with the building of the Suez Canal, that he didn't run the Suez Canal, that the Suez Canal is actually an incredibly important artery for trade, Nasser decides that he's going to nationalize the Suez Canal.
00:01:48.000 The French and the British Both have an interest in the Suez Canal.
00:01:51.000 And they say to Nasser, you can't do that.
00:01:54.000 And the United States stands on the sidelines.
00:01:56.000 And the United States vacillates.
00:01:58.000 And the United States under Eisenhower vacillates for a couple of reasons.
00:02:01.000 Reason number one, they believe that if they are kind enough to Nasser, then Nasser will
00:02:04.000 not align himself with the Soviet Union, and that Nasser might in fact become the tip of
00:02:08.000 the spear in some sort of American overture to the Arab world.
00:02:12.000 So if they're just kind and nice to Nasser, then everything will work out just fine.
00:02:16.000 That is point number one.
00:02:17.000 Point number two is they are supposedly afraid that the USSR is going to get directly involved
00:02:21.000 in the Suez Canal crisis.
00:02:23.000 Now it turns out that would have been highly unlikely, that the USSR was not interested
00:02:27.000 in some sort of major international war over the Suez Canal.
00:02:31.000 In any case, the British, who we now understand historically with 20-20 hindsight, were no longer an international power of the sort of vintage they had been historically.
00:02:40.000 The British and the French Who had historically not worked particularly well together, decided to work with the Israelis in order to liberate the Suez Canal.
00:02:48.000 And so what they did is they went to the Israelis and the Israelis were, of course, very afraid of the Egyptian militarization of the Sinai Desert, for example.
00:02:56.000 And so Israel decided that it would work with the British and the French in order to free the Suez Canal and possibly overthrow Nasser and put in place somebody who is not going to be an enemy of the West.
00:03:07.000 So, in 1956, July 1956, Nasser decides to nationalize the Suez Canal.
00:03:12.000 The Israelis end up moving into the Sinai Desert.
00:03:15.000 They quickly overrun the Sinai Desert and actually are on the march to Cairo.
00:03:19.000 The British and the French are about to intervene.
00:03:21.000 This is the plan.
00:03:22.000 They're going to intervene to tell the Israelis to stop, but it's going to be the British and the French who take over the Suez Canal.
00:03:27.000 And at this point, Eisenhower steps in and basically wraps everybody on the knuckles.
00:03:31.000 The United States steps in on the side of Egypt And says to the British and the French that this is a violation of international law.
00:03:36.000 This is wrong.
00:03:37.000 Nasser gets to nationalize assets that he did not create and that he should not have run.
00:03:43.000 Now, the supposed result of all of this was going to be that Nasser would then align himself with the West.
00:03:48.000 After all, Eisenhower was showing goodwill.
00:03:50.000 Eisenhower was showing how much the United States cared about non-colonization of the Suez Canal, despite the fact that, again, the Egyptian government really didn't build the Suez Canal.
00:03:59.000 The British government did.
00:04:00.000 None of that matters.
00:04:01.000 The bottom line is, Let's do it.
00:04:08.000 Khrushchev, Nikita Khrushchev, who is the new premier of the Soviet Union.
00:04:11.000 It's only a couple years after the death of Stalin.
00:04:14.000 Nikita Khrushchev decides now is the time to move.
00:04:16.000 We'll get to more on this in just one moment.
00:04:18.000 First, $20 barely gets you anything these days.
00:04:20.000 You can't get a burger and fries for less than that.
00:04:22.000 What about at the gas pump?
00:04:23.000 Well, maybe a quarter tank of gas.
00:04:25.000 But do you know what $20 will get you?
00:04:27.000 From the cell phone company I use, PeerTalk, you can get unlimited talk, text, and plenty of 5G data for just $20 a month.
00:04:32.000 PeerTalk gives you the same quality of service as your current cell phone provider, but for half the cost.
00:04:37.000 The average family saves almost a thousand dollars a year, all with no contracts and no activation fees.
00:04:42.000 You can switch to PeerTalk and keep the phone and phone number you currently use, or you can take advantage of their great deals on the latest iPhones and Androids.
00:04:48.000 Making the switch is incredibly easy.
00:04:50.000 Their U.S.
00:04:50.000 customer service team can help you join PeerTalk in as little as 10 minutes.
00:04:54.000 Choose to spend your hard-earned money with a wireless company that shares your values, supports our military and veterans, creates American jobs, and refuses to advertise on, you know, those fake news networks.
00:05:02.000 Stop spending ridiculous amounts of money on your phone plan.
00:05:05.000 Go to puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:05:07.000 Right now, my listeners can get an additional 50% off their very first month.
00:05:11.000 That's puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:05:13.000 Again, puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:05:16.000 Go check them out right now.
00:05:17.000 And so here's what the timeline of the Cold War looks like from 1956 to 1962.
00:05:22.000 1956 Suez Canal Crisis happens.
00:05:24.000 The United States steps in and basically chastens the British and the French.
00:05:28.000 By the way, in chastening the British and the French, the United States was basically saying to the British and the French, they are no longer world powers.
00:05:33.000 The United States is the only hegemonic world power.
00:05:36.000 And therefore, the British and the French start to withdraw from the international scene.
00:05:39.000 Guess who gets to fill the gap?
00:05:40.000 The United States.
00:05:42.000 The fact that the French no longer think of themselves as a world power is one of the reasons why the United States ends up embroiled the way it is in, for example, Vietnam.
00:05:49.000 Because, remember, French Indochina was French.
00:05:52.000 It was the French who were actually occupying that particular area.
00:05:54.000 Again, geopolitics is complicated and intertwined.
00:05:57.000 So, 1956 Suez Canal Crisis goes down, the United States steps in and prevents Nasser from falling, and also ends up basically wrapping the British, the French, and the Israelis on the knuckles.
00:06:07.000 The next thing that happens, just a few months later, is that there is an uprising in Hungary.
00:06:12.000 Hungary is a state in the Soviet sphere of influence.
00:06:18.000 It is a part of the USSR.
00:06:20.000 Or it's an aligned state with the USSR, rather.
00:06:22.000 And the Hungarian government starts to feel these roiling currents of anger from the population.
00:06:31.000 And suddenly, there is a Hungarian revolution in 1956, an attempt to actually substitute the puppet government that has been installed by the Soviets with a new government, a better government, that is going to essentially remain non-aligned in the way that Tito's Yugoslavia was non-aligned during the Cold War.
00:06:48.000 Because the United States has shown its neck, because it has shown no willingness to actually do anything about Soviet aggression, and in fact, has shown itself pretty wishy-washy as far as international politics.
00:06:58.000 The Soviets immediately invade Hungary and crush everything and kill everybody who's involved in the Hungarian uprising, the Hungarian revolution of 1956.
00:07:05.000 That's just 1956.
00:07:07.000 By 1957, Sputnik is launched, the space race is on.
00:07:10.000 By 1958, Nikita Khrushchev, believing that he has the impetus, he has the forward momentum, That between Sputnik and the Middle East and Hungary, that he actually has the power to challenge the United States globally.
00:07:24.000 In 1958, he demands the withdrawal of American troops and Western troops from Berlin, beginning what's known as the Berlin Crisis.
00:07:31.000 And so Berlin, geographically, is located inside the Soviet-occupied areas, East Germany.
00:07:39.000 Berlin was this strange island of Westernism that was in the middle of East Germany.
00:07:45.000 And so it had been divided between the Allies and the Soviets.
00:07:49.000 Right after World War II, and so there was a Soviet side of Berlin that became East Berlin, and there was West Berlin.
00:07:54.000 The big problem the Soviets were having is that everyone in East Berlin, and it turns out all of East Germany, was rushing to West Berlin in order to get the hell out of Soviet-occupied areas or Soviet-aligned areas.
00:08:03.000 And so the Soviets had a problem, but they also had a solution.
00:08:06.000 And their solution was they were going to apply extreme pressure to the United States and see if the United States would back down in the face of that aggression.
00:08:13.000 And so for three long years, The Soviet Union and the United States stand toe-to-toe and battle over Berlin.
00:08:19.000 And in 1961, Khrushchev steps in and solves the Berlin crisis by building the Berlin Wall.
00:08:24.000 So overnight, a giant wall goes up right in the middle of the city, dividing family members from family members, and it sticks around all the way from 1961 until 1989, when it actually falls.
00:08:34.000 But again, even between then, Soviets facilitate a Cuban revolution that ends with Fidel Castro in charge of Cuba, right?
00:08:41.000 All of this is the lead up to the Cuban Missile Crisis.
00:08:43.000 In other words, I tell you this story, not just because the history is interesting, I think it's fascinating, but because there is one rule when it comes to world war, and that is lack of clarity in your intention, vacillation, failure to make clear to your enemies what exactly your lines are.
00:09:00.000 Fake bluffs.
00:09:01.000 Empty threats.
00:09:03.000 These things lead to war.
00:09:05.000 Much more likely that that leads to war than the open threat of war.
00:09:09.000 Very often, the open threat of war actually deters war.
00:09:11.000 Very often, the willingness to actually flex muscle leads the other side to believe, hey, maybe I shouldn't actually go and have this firefight with somebody.
00:09:18.000 They're ready to have the firefight.
00:09:19.000 Miscalculation is the most likely way that great powers end up in war.
00:09:23.000 That's precisely what happened during World War I. And actually, that's what happened during World War II.
00:09:28.000 The Germans miscalculated because they thought that since the West had caved at Munich and before, because they've been able to occupy the Sudetenland, that they would then be able to occupy the rest of Czechoslovakia.
00:09:37.000 In the aftermath of that, they thought they could then occupy the Danzig Corridor, and that is where the West drew its line.
00:09:42.000 So again, failure of willingness to convey your intention.
00:09:46.000 Failure to act as an iron wall against the aggression of your enemies leads to escalation and then you actually do get dragged into hot wars that involve extraordinary numbers of casualties.
00:09:55.000 That is the story of large-scale war in the world.
00:09:59.000 So why do I bring this up?
00:10:01.000 Because today there's a story out of the Daily Express that American troops are to be permanently stationed in Taiwan.
00:10:09.000 According to Taipei, they say Taiwan has officially confirmed the presence of US troops stationed on its islands in the Taiwan Strait permanently, a development that could further create impetus for war for the Chinese It escalates mounting tensions.
00:10:23.000 The National Defense Authorization Act passed in 2023 facilitated the deployment of troops to conduct training programs for Taiwanese frontline forces.
00:10:30.000 The move comes as China continues to assert its disputed claim over Taiwan, viewing it as a renegade province despite never having ruled it.
00:10:36.000 The heightened military's activities by China in and around the Taiwan Strait have prompted Taiwan to bolster its defense capabilities.
00:10:42.000 And that comes just after Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued what he called an ironclad warning to China as tensions between the two nations rise.
00:10:51.000 Meanwhile, the Chinese are buzzing the borders of the Taiwan Strait.
00:10:54.000 The Taiwan Strait obviously divided between Taiwan and China in terms of sort of offshore control.
00:10:59.000 And apparently, Chinese jets have been busing the Taiwan Strait.
00:11:04.000 And not only that, the Chinese are again pursuing hypersonic missile tests and all the rest.
00:11:09.000 Now, why would they be doing that?
00:11:11.000 The reason they are doing that is because Joe Biden has put his neck on the line.
00:11:16.000 Meaning, he's showing his neck.
00:11:17.000 He's showing his neck!
00:11:18.000 China has been busily facilitating the creation of an anti-American, anti-Western alliance.
00:11:24.000 That alliance is predominantly staffed by China, Russia, and Iran.
00:11:29.000 That is an actual axis of countries that are legitimately working together.
00:11:33.000 Iran is currently sending drones, for example.
00:11:35.000 and military capabilities to Russia for use in Ukraine.
00:11:40.000 Russia has been for a very long time facilitating nuclear development in Iran.
00:11:44.000 China has been funding both of them.
00:11:46.000 Right, that axis is quite real.
00:11:49.000 And it's not an imaginary axis, it's just countries we don't like.
00:11:51.000 Those are countries that are very obviously working together, and they're pretty openly working together.
00:11:56.000 So much so that the Houthis, which is an Iranian-backed terror group that has currently been attacking shipping in the Red Sea, announced that they would not be attacking any Chinese or Russian shipping in the Red Sea or the Gulf of Aden.
00:12:10.000 Meaning our allies, their ships get to go through, Which means a lot cheaper shipping for them, for Russia and for China.
00:12:16.000 And anything that is associated with America or the West, we will try to blow up their ships.
00:12:21.000 That's what the Hoothies are saying.
00:12:23.000 We'll get to more on that in just a second.
00:12:24.000 First, I have some pretty full days.
00:12:26.000 Got the show, the company, being a dad.

00:12:31.000 And that's why I rely on my Helix Sleep Mattress.

00:13:20.000 It's not going to last long.
00:13:21.000 With Helix, better sleep starts right now.
00:13:24.000 So in the face of that, what the Biden administration should be doing is saying no.
00:13:28.000 The Biden administration should be taking the position that it is going to destroy any who the attempts to harass shipping in the Red Sea.
00:13:38.000 It's not going to be pinpoint hit a camel in the ass little attacks in Yemen.
00:13:43.000 If pirates attempt to harass shipping in the Red Sea, we will put naval gunboats in the Red Sea and we will blow away anything that attempts to move against shipping from anywhere in the Red Sea.
00:13:55.000 What the United States should be doing in Ukraine is holding the line.
00:13:57.000 That doesn't mean that the United States should put out their pie-in-the-sky things like, well, Ukraine is going to take back the Donbass and Crimea.
00:14:04.000 But the United States does have an interest in holding the line against Russia.
00:14:08.000 The United States, when it comes to Israel, should be saying that Israel has the full capacity to go and destroy Hamas, which is an Iranian proxy group.
00:14:16.000 The reason that China is getting aggressive with Taiwan, the reason that a war could possibly break out is because, again, Chinese miscalculation.
00:14:22.000 What they could say is, yeah, we see that you guys have troops over there.
00:14:25.000 We see that you have troops on Taiwan.
00:14:26.000 But you know what?
00:14:27.000 We just don't believe that Joe Biden is going to do anything about that.
00:14:29.000 Not only that, you guys look so divided internally in the United States on foreign policy that if we make a move, we think that probably you will just let it go.
00:14:37.000 And by the way, we should note here that the single most effective method of upgrading Chinese military capacity is to take or blockade Taiwan.
00:14:44.000 It is the single most effective thing they can do.
00:14:47.000 It's not about the money for the Chinese military.
00:14:50.000 It is about the microchips.
00:14:52.000 Taiwan has the largest manufacturer of microchips, sophisticated microchips, on the planet.
00:14:57.000 About 92% of sophisticated microchips are being produced in Taiwan.
00:15:00.000 When I say sophisticated microchips, I'm talking about the kind of stuff that goes in American F-35s, American F-22s.
00:15:08.000 I'm talking about the kind of stuff that goes in our nuclear submarines.
00:15:10.000 Those microchips are the single greatest advantage the United States has in terms of military tech, because we design all the software here, and then the hardware is then printed off and created in Taiwan.
00:15:22.000 And we're not going to be able to ramp up our microchip facilities in the United States fast enough to make up for Taiwan being lost.
00:15:28.000 But not only that, It's not about that.
00:15:30.000 It's about, will China have access to those same microchips?
00:15:33.000 Right now, Taiwan, because it is run by a government that is unfriendly to the Chinese, is saying that they will not supply those microchips to China.
00:15:40.000 China is hoping to apply enough pressure to Taiwan to make the people of Taiwan feel so threatened and feel that the United States is a bad partner in the world.
00:15:48.000 After the abandonment of Hong Kong, after the abandonment of Afghanistan, after the internal pressures in the United States over Ukraine and Israel.
00:15:54.000 They're hoping, the Chinese, that Taiwan is going to get the message and elect a government that is friendlier to China and then just give them the microchips.
00:16:01.000 And if they get the microchips, suddenly their military goes from a very large but second-rate military to a first-class military.
00:16:07.000 I mean, people who estimate the sort of strength of the Chinese military are missing the central feature of the Chinese military, which, again, is more about size than it is about sophistication.
00:16:19.000 is something called chip war.
00:16:20.000 It's all about this sort of stuff.
00:16:21.000 If you're interested in this sort of thing, the reason that Taiwan is necessary for the United States to protect and defend is not just because it is a democracy far away.
00:16:29.000 It is because we have a very real interest, a military interest in making sure that our military superiority remains over threats to the world like China, which, by the way, is killing 100,000 American citizens a year by shipping fentanyl into Mexico that just gets shipped into the United States.
00:16:43.000 This is why, again, Foreign policy weakness is all of the piece.
00:16:46.000 It is a game of perception.
00:16:48.000 How does the world perceive Joe Biden right now?
00:16:51.000 They perceive him as weak.
00:16:52.000 How does the world perceive the United States?
00:16:54.000 They perceive the United States as divided.
00:16:57.000 When you have a weak president and a divided United States, that seems like a really good time to march.
00:17:03.000 And that's precisely why it matters.
00:17:05.000 The United States' position on things like the Red Sea.
00:17:08.000 Or yes, Ukraine.
00:17:10.000 Or yes, what's going on in the Gaza Strip.
00:17:13.000 Now, most obviously, the Biden administration has been, at least promoting rhetorically, American support for Ukraine.
00:17:19.000 Although again, I think that they've done a piss poor job of explaining exactly why Americans should support what's happening with the Ukrainian government, or to what extent, or what the off ramp is, or all the rest.
00:17:29.000 I've made my critiques of the Biden administration on Ukraine very clear.
00:17:32.000 But what they're really doing, the heavy lifting on behalf of America's enemies, is obviously with regard to their rhetoric, with regard to Israel and the Gaza Strip.
00:17:41.000 And the Palestinians.
00:17:42.000 So let's be very clear about this.
00:17:44.000 The Palestinian people support terrorism.
00:17:46.000 They do.
00:17:47.000 Just by poll data, they do.
00:17:48.000 That doesn't mean they're all terrorists.
00:17:50.000 It doesn't mean that they all deserve to be put in prison or they all deserve to be killed in airstrikes.
00:17:55.000 What it means is that if you're going to formulate a foreign policy, that foreign policy ought to be somewhat related to reality.
00:18:02.000 So while the Biden administration is pushing for the establishment of a Palestinian state, They're completely ignoring the fact that a Palestinian state would be a terror state directly in the heart of the Middle East.
00:18:12.000 That would, by the way, not just be a threat to Israel, it would be a threat to Egypt.
00:18:15.000 It would, in fact, be a threat to Jordan.
00:18:18.000 Jordan likes to mouth off about a Palestinian state, but I noticed that between 1948 and 1967, there was no talk of a Palestinian state by either Egypt, which ruled the Gaza Strip, or Jordan, which ruled Judea and Samaria.
00:18:28.000 They don't want a Palestinian state, because if there had been a Palestinian state, it would have been a threat to the Hashemite dynasty in Jordan, and it would have been a threat to the Egyptian military.
00:18:37.000 But the Biden administration continues to ignore reality because they have this cloud-cuckoo-land view of foreign policy.
00:18:43.000 That if they say nice words, then somehow that's going to magically heal all the problems.
00:18:48.000 So they'll say to the Israelis, yes, sure, you should take out Hamas, but really, can you not?
00:18:51.000 Really, can you not?
00:18:52.000 And also, we need you to establish a Palestinian state as a reward for the worst terror attack in the history of the state of Israel.
00:19:00.000 And again, by the way, a poll released on Wednesday Found that 71% of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank believe that the October 7th massacres was correct.
00:19:12.000 That is 7 out of 10.
00:19:15.000 That is a huge number.
00:19:17.000 Not just that, the number of Palestinians who admit that Hamas committed war crimes is 5%.
00:19:22.000 5%.
00:19:26.000 Support for Hamas as a political party is up to 42% in the Gaza Strip.
00:19:33.000 In the West Bank, it is about 35-44%, but there is no backing for Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah party.
00:19:38.000 The Fatah party, which is what the Americans are putting all their faith in, Mahmoud Abbas being a Holocaust-denying semi-terrorist, as opposed to, like, an openly genocidal terrorist in Hamas.
00:19:48.000 There is no backing for Mahmoud Abbas.
00:19:51.000 It is hilarious to me that you see Chuck Schumer calling for new elections in Israel.
00:19:54.000 They have not held an election in Palestinian areas in the West Bank or the Gaza Strip since 2005.
00:20:00.000 And there's a reason for that, because everyone knows who wins if there's an election in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank.
00:20:06.000 backing for Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah party is currently 25% in Gaza and it is 12% down
00:20:13.000 from 26% in September. So that means that it is currently 14% in the West Bank,
00:20:22.000 which is the area that by the way, Fatah actually has power.
00:20:25.000 They have no power in the Gaza Strip.
00:20:27.000 Asked who they would hope to see in charge of the Gaza Strip at the end of Israel's war with Hamas, 52% of respondents in Gaza said they wanted Hamas back.
00:20:35.000 52%!
00:20:36.000 In the West Bank, 64% think Hamas should run post-war Gaza.
00:20:42.000 21% of respondents in Gaza said they hoped the PA would return to control the Strip, but only under the leadership of someone other than Mahmoud Abbas.
00:20:49.000 So, there is no support for the American plan for what's going to happen in the Gaza Strip, and everybody knows this.
00:20:56.000 Everyone knows this, which is why this is all pie-in-the-sky absolute nonsense.
00:21:00.000 And again, everything that the Biden administration does rhetorically smacks of an unwillingness to acknowledge the realities of geopolitics, up to and including this unbelievable story.
00:21:09.000 It's an exclusive from Spencer Lindquist of Daily Wire.

00:22:13.000 This is an insane story.
00:22:15.000 The Biden administration, intelligence documents, internal documents from the intelligence community, They're now warning to avoid what they call problematic phrases on Islamic terrorism.
00:22:26.000 What exactly are those problematic phrases?
00:22:29.000 Quote, Salafi jihadist, jihadist, Islamic extremist, Sunni Shia extremism, or radical Islamists.
00:22:38.000 That is an unclassified newsletter from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence called The Dive.
00:22:45.000 And they say that the intel community needs to focus on quote, changing terminology related to counterterrorism because words matter.
00:22:51.000 Quote, this article is about one of our goals, disentangling Islam from words and phrases used to discuss terrorism and extremist violence.
00:22:57.000 The article declares it is trying to quote, remove certain phrases to identify terrorism threats that are hurtful to Muslim Americans.
00:23:04.000 Well, I mean, I'm sorry if it's hurtful to Muslim Americans that there are a lot of Islamist extremists in the Middle East.
00:23:10.000 That is the reality.
00:23:11.000 And I don't think that Muslim Americans as a group support that.
00:23:15.000 So I'm not sure why they would be insulted by that per se.
00:23:19.000 But this is, again, where the Biden administration is.
00:23:23.000 Show weakness.
00:23:25.000 Vacillate.
00:23:26.000 Suggest that if you just say the right words, then magically, magically, Nasser will become your friend.
00:23:32.000 By the way, we should tell the end of that Suez Canal story.
00:23:34.000 Nasser ends up facilitating the Six-Day War.
00:23:38.000 He continues to harass Israel on its borders, at which point Israel eventually launches a preemptive assault on Nasser and his allies in 1967 and ends up winning the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
00:23:49.000 So if you don't like Israel having done that, you can thank Dwight D. Eisenhower for that, because that is Eisenhower facilitating Nasser's continuation in power in 1956.
00:23:56.000 Meanwhile, again, the United States continues to vacillate.
00:23:58.000 They continue to shilly-shally on these issues.
00:24:02.000 According to the Times of Israel, the United States is going to pitch Israel on securing the Egypt-Gaza border as an alternative to, quote-unquote, smashing Intarafa.
00:24:11.000 Apparently, one of the senior U.S.
00:24:13.000 officials said, quote, this isn't just us saying, no, you can't do it.
00:24:15.000 We're saying we're willing to work with you on viable alternatives that help you achieve your objectives.
00:24:19.000 What exactly would that viable alternative be?
00:24:22.000 A second senior U.S.
00:24:23.000 official said Washington envisions Israel focusing on preventing the smuggling of weapons from Egypt into Gaza through the Philadelphia Corridor.
00:24:30.000 That doesn't, how, what?
00:24:32.000 That is not an alternative.
00:24:33.000 The weapons are already in there.
00:24:34.000 They're already in Rafah.
00:24:35.000 Hamas is already in there.
00:24:37.000 That's like saying, okay, fine.
00:24:38.000 We'll just leave the Nazis in charge of Berlin.
00:24:40.000 We'll just make sure that no more ammunition gets into Berlin.
00:24:43.000 Or alternatively, you could just stop the Nazis being in Berlin by killing them.
00:24:46.000 That's the other thing that you could do.
00:24:48.000 The second senior official said, if Israel smashes into Rafah with all the civilian casualties that doing so would entail, cooperation from Egypt on locking down the Philadelphia corridor will be much more difficult.
00:24:56.000 Will it, though?
00:24:57.000 Does Egypt really want Hamas to have more weapons?
00:25:00.000 And why should the United States not apply its pressure to Egypt to stop that sort of thing, considering that we, I know we only talk about foreign aid to Israel, but the reality is that Egypt receives billions of dollars in foreign aid from the United States as well.
00:25:10.000 We should have some leverage over Egypt to tell them to stop, you know, shipping weapons or allowing the shipment of weapons across the Philadelphia corridor into Rafah.
00:25:18.000 Meanwhile, the Biden administration continues to try and suggest that Bibi Netanyahu is the problem or that the Republicans are politicizing Israel.
00:25:25.000 It's a Democratic administration politicizing this entire issue.
00:25:29.000 So, for example, Hakeem Jeffries yesterday, he says that Republicans are the ones politicizing Israel, which is weird because it was Chuck Schumer who went on the floor of the Senate and called for the ouster of the elected government of Israel.
00:25:41.000 Was Schumer right to address this issue at all?
00:25:44.000 Netanyahu Was pretty upset that he said that a Democratic official in the United States was wading into Israel's domestic policies.
00:25:56.000 Leader Schumer, throughout his career, has been an incredibly strong supporter of the special relationship between the United States and Israel.
00:26:04.000 And I believe he will continue to be moving forward.
00:26:08.000 And it is unfortunate that some of my extreme Republican colleagues, once again, are trying to politicize the issue of the relationship between the United States and Israel, as opposed to leaning in at a time when Israel is in the middle of a war against Hamas.
00:26:25.000 Okay, so apparently it is the Republicans politicizing this thing, even though it was Chuck Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader, who literally called for the ouster of the elected government of Israel in a unity cabinet that involves the opposition.
00:26:35.000 It's a war cabinet right now.
00:26:37.000 Not only that, Chuck Schumer, he was asked by Netanyahu, can he speak to the Senate Democratic Caucus?
00:26:41.000 And Schumer said no.
00:26:43.000 He was going to do it behind closed doors, and Schumer said no.
00:26:45.000 Why?
00:26:46.000 Because Schumer understands that his own Democratic Caucus is increasingly non-supportive of Israel, for example.
00:26:53.000 And then Senate Republicans are like, well, you can talk to us.
00:26:55.000 And Netanyahu is like, okay, that sounds good.
00:26:57.000 I'll talk to whoever.
00:26:58.000 And they're like, well, that seems partisan.
00:27:00.000 That's not the way that it works.
00:27:02.000 If Netanyahu asks you if he can speak to your caucus and you say no, and then he goes to the other caucus and they say yes, that's you being a partisan, not him.
00:27:08.000 He went to both sides.
00:27:10.000 It's just an absurdity.
00:27:11.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment.
00:27:12.000 First, do you owe back taxes or still have unfiled returns?
00:27:15.000 Not only is owing back taxes stressful, but the IRS has also become more determined than ever.
00:27:20.000 The IRS's Chief Data and Analytics Officer revealed they are focused on an enforcement project with an average return on investment of about $6 for every $1 spent.
00:27:27.000 They're targeting individuals and businesses that currently owe back taxes or haven't filed their returns first.

00:28:09.000 That's TNUSA.com slash Shapiro.
00:28:12.000 TNUSA.com slash Shapiro.
00:28:15.000 The media, for their part, have been doing cover for the Biden administration on all this by trotting out every far leftist they can find on this issue.
00:28:24.000 So they'll never interview anybody who has, like, legitimate smicha or represents any actual stream of Judaism in any serious way.
00:28:30.000 Instead, they have on people like Rabbi Sharon Braus, who is not a rabbi.
00:28:34.000 Okay, I have a quick rule about rabbis.
00:28:36.000 If you know less than my 10-year-old daughter who goes to Jewish day school, you're not a rabbi.
00:28:42.000 That's the way this works.
00:28:43.000 Also, if you openly say, as this supposed rabbi does, that she runs a unique and unaffiliated branch of Judaism, also not a rabbi.
00:28:53.000 Rabbi, you think what Trump is doing is not just dangerous for Jews, but for democracy.
00:28:56.000 Why?
00:28:56.000 Yeah, that's right, Dana.
00:28:57.000 I mean, first of all, these comments are totally on brand for Trump.
00:28:59.000 though she is the leader of a mass movement inside the Jewish population on Israel to
00:29:03.000 rip on Republicans and Netanyahu and all the rest of this.
00:29:08.000 Rabbi, you think what Trump is doing is not just dangerous for Jews, but for democracy.
00:29:14.000 Why?
00:29:15.000 Yeah, that's right, Dana.
00:29:17.000 I mean, first of all, these comments are totally on brand for Trump.
00:29:21.000 It is an attempt to really bully and shame American Jews into voting for him.
00:29:25.000 And he's trying to stir fear and paranoia among American Jews.
00:29:31.000 It's not going to work.
00:29:32.000 American Jews historically vote very solidly Democratic and also really dislike intensely the former president.
00:29:39.000 That's not going to change now.
00:29:40.000 In fact, most American Jews don't share Trump or Bibi's vision for Israel and certainly don't share Trump's vision for America.
00:29:50.000 Okay, so why should she speak for Jews?
00:29:52.000 She literally is part- There's a Wall Street Journal article that's a feature of her, because again, the way that the Wall Street Journal works, for those who are unaware, the news pages are all far to the left.
00:30:02.000 Like, even further to the left than the New York Times, it's only the op-ed page that is not far to the left.
00:30:07.000 She founded a supposed synagogue, and I say supposed because literally, It says in this article that this particular congregation, quote, is not affiliated with any denomination within Judaism.
00:30:22.000 So obviously that's who CNN is going to trot out as a spokesperson for the Jewish people.
00:30:26.000 Slow clap for the geniuses over at CNN.
00:30:29.000 And when it comes to foreign policy, part of foreign policy and foreign policy weakness is also domestic policy.
00:30:34.000 And when it comes to domestic policy, this administration continues to do the hard work that China is expecting from them.
00:30:40.000 So, for example, one of the mainstays of the American economy is the ability to travel in things like cars.
00:30:48.000 And by the way, to drill for oil and natural gas, and send those things overseas, and export them to Europe, and provide them with the cheap energy sources they need to, for example, survive a Russian cutoff in materials.
00:31:00.000 Is the Biden administration doing any of that?
00:31:01.000 Of course not.
00:31:02.000 Instead, they've declared an LNG pause.
00:31:04.000 They've cut down the number of licenses that are available for drilling.
00:31:09.000 They made it much more difficult to drill.
00:31:10.000 They vowed that they were going to get America off of oil and natural gas in the very near future, which means no one's going to invest in oil refineries.
00:31:18.000 And now, apparently, the EPA is pushing forward under Joe Biden toward a zero emissions economy.
00:31:25.000 According to the Washington Post, the Biden administration finalized the United States' toughest limits on planet warming emissions from passenger cars and light trucks on Wednesday in a controversial bid to accelerate the nation's halting transition to electric vehicles.
00:31:37.000 The Environmental Protection Agency will require automakers to ramp up sales of electric vehicles while slashing carbon emissions from gas-powered models, which account for about one-fifth of America's contribution to global warming.
00:31:48.000 Now again, I'd like to underscore that statistic.
00:31:50.000 They don't account for one-fifth of global warming, or emissions generally.
00:31:53.000 They account for one-fifth of America's contribution to global warming.
00:31:58.000 Which is to say a very small percentage of the total contributions to global warming from all countries all over the world.
00:32:06.000 So we're gonna crush our automakers in order so that Joe Biden can please his environmentalist base.
00:32:11.000 And you know who benefits from this is China.
00:32:13.000 Because China is racing to catch up in the EV game.
00:32:16.000 China's pouring billions and billions of dollars into their own subsidized EVs.
00:32:21.000 And by the way, they don't care how much they pollute.
00:32:22.000 They don't care at all.
00:32:23.000 Like, at all.
00:32:26.000 Now Biden, again, is trying to split the baby.
00:32:28.000 Here, he's trying to make it so that you'll only feel the effects after he is presumably re-elected.
00:32:32.000 According to the Washington Post, unlike last year's proposed rules, automakers will not need to dramatically boost EV sales until after 2030.
00:32:37.000 So he's going to put the rule in place, but then he's going to delay the effect of the rule until after he would leave office.
00:32:43.000 Typical Democrat tomfoolery.
00:32:46.000 The delayed timeline reflects an election year concession to labor unions.
00:32:49.000 Those labor unions don't like the EV crap because it turns out it puts all of them out of a job because people don't want to buy EVs at the same rate as... Listen, I'm not anti-EV, I own a Tesla.
00:32:58.000 But let's just be clear, that is an expensive car.
00:33:01.000 And most Americans cannot afford to get into one right now.
00:33:05.000 This is going to be a gas-powered economy for a long time to come.
00:33:08.000 And pretending that it's not is absurdity.
00:33:11.000 Here's Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House, ripping into Joe Biden over all of this.
00:33:15.000 This week, House Republicans will pass the legislation promoting American energy independence and opposing Biden's anti-energy agenda.
00:33:23.000 There's no other way to describe it.
00:33:25.000 Our bills, as you've heard, are going to support fracking.
00:33:27.000 They're going to expedite permitting processes.
00:33:29.000 We're going to decrease fees on oil and gas producers.
00:33:33.000 And, of course, we will continue to denounce President Biden's radical policies.
00:33:37.000 This is a continuation of the pro-American energy agenda that House Republicans have been pursuing and will always pursue.
00:33:44.000 We passed H.R.
00:33:45.000 1, our signature piece of legislation, right out of the blocks, the Lower Energy Cost Act.
00:33:49.000 And that legislation was to support our LNG producers and protect gas-powered vehicles.
00:33:54.000 So this is very clear.
00:33:56.000 The White House is more eager to appease radical environmental activists than the American people.
00:34:01.000 There's no other way to assess this.
00:34:05.000 That is absolutely correct.
00:34:06.000 By the way, Donald Trump's policy is on this, because again, it's a binary election now.
00:34:10.000 Donald Trump's policy is on this?
00:34:12.000 A 100% tariff on Chinese vehicle imports.
00:34:15.000 Which would be punishing China and making clear to China that if they screw with the United States, there will in fact be consequences.
00:34:21.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden is basically creating economic pathways for China at the same time that he is appeasing China's enemies and vacillating over America's allies.

00:35:24.000 Okay, meanwhile, America, you know, all of our crises are coming to a head at once.
00:35:28.000 One of the ways that the Federal Reserve is going to try to bail Joe Biden out is by continuing to talk about lowering the interest rates.
00:35:35.000 So right now, inflation is still running way higher than it needs to.
00:35:39.000 The Federal Reserve has been having a tough time kind of getting that final mile on inflation.
00:35:45.000 That doesn't matter, apparently.
00:35:47.000 Jerome Powell is still saying That they are looking at cutting interest rates three times this year.
00:35:52.000 So what is that doing?
00:35:53.000 That's artificially bumping up the stock market, obviously, because if people expect that the interest rates are going to come down, well, that means that they're going to spend more money now knowing they can borrow at lower rates later.
00:36:04.000 That is the general idea of what's happening in the economy right now, so it's artificially being inflated again by the Federal Reserve.
00:36:10.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, while the latest data hasn't given officials the confidence they would need to begin rate cuts, Chair Jerome Powell said his outlook for inflation to continue declining had not changed substantially in recent weeks.
00:36:20.000 The projections released Wednesday were little changed from December and showed most of his colleagues expect two or three rate cuts this year.
00:36:27.000 So, most economists had expected the Fed to dial back on the expectations of rate cuts.
00:36:32.000 Instead, the Federal Reserve, which controls way too much of the American economy via the interest rates, they've decided that they are going to, just in time for the election, superheat the economy by injecting more money into the economy with lower interest rates.
00:36:43.000 So, again, the Federal Reserve trying to save Joe Biden from his own bad policy, but Meanwhile, the social fabric of the United States continues to decay.
00:36:51.000 According to the UK Daily Mail, America's squatting crisis is at boiling point.
00:36:54.000 Every week, shocking tales emerge of helpless families booted out of their homes by scrounging crooks.
00:36:59.000 Entire communities in L.A.
00:37:00.000 and Atlanta have been ravaged by criminals turning homes into strip clubs and hosting all-night raves, while residents of Texas and Colorado are being tormented by a serial squatter who is running rings around the police.
00:37:10.000 Emboldened by weak law enforcement, their unruly behavior becomes more brazen by the day.
00:37:14.000 In fact, here is an NYC, a New York City squatter standoff caught on camera.
00:37:19.000 One of the big problems here is that basically you have homeless people who have decided they're just going to take over temporarily empty apartments or homes or homes for sale, sit there, and then it is very difficult in liberal jurisdictions to eject them.
00:37:30.000 Because these liberal jurisdictions basically say that unless you get a court order, you can't get rid of these people.
00:37:36.000 And it might take a while for the court order to come.
00:37:38.000 Meanwhile, they can wreck your house.
00:37:40.000 And it's not as though you can sue them or anything because they have no assets.
00:37:43.000 So here's what it looked like when a New York City squatter was caught on camera.
00:37:49.000 Less than 10 minutes after police left and the locks were changed.
00:37:56.000 The man who claims to be the one actually leasing the house shows up.
00:37:59.000 Call the police again!
00:38:00.000 With the other guy, police took off the property.
00:38:02.000 Do you see this?
00:38:03.000 This guy just literally broke down my door.
00:38:06.000 Broke through myself and my daughter to get in here.
00:38:09.000 This guy just forced himself into my house.
00:38:12.000 Yes he did.
00:38:14.000 And so did you.
00:38:15.000 You broke through the front door.
00:38:17.000 The man called the police on her.
00:38:19.000 So why is it that I have to leave and he doesn't have to leave?
00:38:21.000 Because technically he can't be kicked out.
00:38:23.000 We need to go to court.
00:38:25.000 They consider this a landlord-tenant issue.
00:38:28.000 And by law, it has to be handled through the housing court, not with police.
00:38:31.000 If you own this house, you would not want her inside.
00:38:34.000 I don't own the house.
00:38:34.000 I don't own this house.
00:38:35.000 Exactly.
00:38:35.000 She does.
00:38:36.000 Yes.
00:38:36.000 But then, once again, you should know how the law works.
00:38:39.000 I do know how it works.
00:38:40.000 There's rules to the law, as you've got to go to court and send me to civil court.
00:38:44.000 So, here's how it works in New York.
00:38:47.000 I'm not kidding.
00:38:48.000 This is the ABC News in New York reporting.
00:38:50.000 Okay, here's what this story is.
00:38:53.000 The homeowner's a woman named Adele Andalero.
00:38:55.000 She inherited her family's home in Flushing, Queens after her parents died.
00:38:59.000 She was in the process of selling it when she noticed a problem.
00:39:01.000 Someone had changed the entire front door and the lock of her home.
00:39:04.000 She says that squatters moved into the home in February and then they refused to leave.
00:39:08.000 She says, by the time someone does their investigation, their work, and their job, it'll be over 30 days and this person will still be in my home.
00:39:13.000 Because in New York, squatters have 30-day rights.
00:39:17.000 Why?
00:39:17.000 Because they treat it as though you overstayed your rent, as opposed to, you were never renting the place in the first place.
00:39:24.000 So, Ann DeLara went to her property, and Eyewitness News followed her.
00:39:27.000 They were there when a woman walked up to the house, unlocked the door, and left.
00:39:31.000 Angelero decided to enter the property with her daughter and the property deed in hand.
00:39:35.000 She found two people who were sleeping in the bedroom.
00:39:37.000 Eyewitness News asked one of the men how long he'd been there and he said, I moved in two days ago and the second man didn't answer any questions.
00:39:42.000 The men then called the cops.
00:39:45.000 She said, they've called the police on me and I've called the locksmith.
00:39:47.000 We didn't come in illegally.
00:39:47.000 The door was open.
00:39:50.000 Police arrived shortly after and started interviewing the man, the neighbor, and asking for documents.
00:39:53.000 One officer asked the men, do you have something that shows you've been here more than 30 days?
00:39:57.000 When the men did not provide documentation, they escorted both off the property, and Anzaloro had a locksmith change the locks, but before police left, they warned her about changing the locks.
00:40:04.000 She said, I may end up in handcuffs today if a man shows up here and says I've illegally evicted him.
00:40:08.000 I said, let him take me to court, as I've been told to take him to court, because I'm not leaving my house.
00:40:13.000 In New York, it is against the law to turn off the utilities, change the locks, and remove the belongings of someone who claims to be a tenant, which is insane.
00:40:20.000 If you're not paying your rent, you're not a tenant.
00:40:22.000 And you're certainly not a tenant if you never paid rent and you literally just went to somebody's house while they're not home.
00:40:27.000 They went on winter vacation.
00:40:28.000 You went up, you showed up at their house, you sat in their house, and then you just say, well, you know, you can't kick me out.
00:40:33.000 I'm a tenant now.
00:40:35.000 Totally insane.
00:40:37.000 Absolutely crazy.
00:40:40.000 And by the way, you now have TikTokers who are going online and advising illegal immigrants on how to squat in random people's homes.
00:40:47.000 This is just one tape from TikTok.
00:40:49.000 He says, I have thought about invading a house in the United States.
00:40:59.000 I found out there's a law that says that if a house is not inhabited, we can seize it.
00:41:09.000 Guys, here in the United States, also applies the land invasion.
00:41:20.000 And I think that will be my next business invading.
00:41:25.000 The law says that the abandoned property deteriorated and that it is in bad condition.
00:41:36.000 We can get and repair and live.
00:41:38.000 We can even sell it!
00:41:43.000 Okay, this is totally intense.
00:41:45.000 So he's telling people to basically just go into other people's houses and invade them and take them.
00:41:49.000 Because property rights mean nothing.
00:41:51.000 They mean nothing anymore in places like New York and California.
00:41:53.000 Wonder why people are fleeing to Florida?
00:41:54.000 Here's why people are fleeing to Florida.
00:41:56.000 Lawmakers this week passed a bill to put a stop to squatters' rights.
00:42:00.000 House Bill 621 authorizes property owners to request action by the sheriff's office to immediately remove squatters from your home.
00:42:07.000 The bill passed overwhelmingly in the Florida Senate last week.
00:42:09.000 Before the bill was signed into law, squatters were considered tenants in the eyes of the law.
00:42:12.000 Now, squatters will face criminal charges for violating what was once within their rights.
00:42:17.000 Senator Keith Perry led the charge on HB 621, which allows property owners to file an affidavit showing the property does not belong to those who are occupying it.
00:42:25.000 The bill creates stiff penalties for violators, like second-degree felony for damage to a home and first-degree felony for fraudulently selling or leasing the property.
00:42:32.000 The sheriff is required to serve the notice and remove the unwanted occupants without delay.
00:42:36.000 Good.
00:42:38.000 Good!
00:42:39.000 I mean, that's why the state is great.
00:42:40.000 That's why the state is awesome.
00:42:42.000 Because they see it, basically, the way that Florida works is Florida looks at California and New York, they say, we're going to do the opposite of that.
00:42:47.000 And so Florida is great.
00:42:49.000 But again, the lack of respect for property rights in places like New York and California, like, why would you ever create a business in states that promote laws like this?
00:42:58.000 Why would you live in those states if you could get out?
00:43:02.000 It's truly an amazing, amazing thing.
00:43:04.000 Meanwhile, the House GOP continues to move forward on impeachment hearings against Joe Biden.
00:43:08.000 Now, are they actually going to get to impeachment?
00:43:10.000 They have a very slim margin in the House.
00:43:12.000 They may not.
00:43:13.000 But that, of course, is not the purpose of public hearings anymore.
00:43:15.000 Public hearings aren't... They haven't been for a very long time of actually doing things.
00:43:19.000 They're about the rhetoric that is used and exposing to the public what exactly is going on.
00:43:23.000 So they become TV shows as much as they have pieces of legislative leisure domain, which, again, not...
00:43:29.000 Not super shocking, not my favorite thing, but that is, in fact, the way that politics works.
00:43:33.000 So yesterday, massive fights erupted at the GOP's hearings about Hunter Biden's corruption.
00:43:39.000 According to Axios, the Republican-led House Oversight Committee's marquee hearing on Hunter Biden's business dealings evolved into squabbles between committee members and witnesses on Wednesday.
00:43:49.000 So James Comer, Republican of Kentucky, who's the oversight chair, he kicked off the hearing by waiving a rule prohibiting members from impugning the character of the president, saying the members, quote, must be allowed to speak frankly.
00:44:01.000 And there are basically two big witnesses.
00:44:03.000 One was Tony Bobulinski, the former Hunter Biden business associate, who claims that Hunter Biden was part of a pay-for-play scandal with Joe Biden.
00:44:12.000 And the other was Lev Parnas.
00:44:14.000 Lev Parnas is a Ukrainian-American businessman and former associate of Rudy Giuliani.
00:44:20.000 And he's claiming that basically this is all Russian propaganda.
00:44:23.000 So that was the battle.
00:44:25.000 But this whole thing started off, even before it started, with Jared Moskowitz of Florida, for some odd reason, showing up to the hearing dressed as Vladimir Putin.
00:44:32.000 Because, again, the clown show is just so obvious now.
00:44:35.000 It's just... The clown car is not big enough for all the clowns.
00:44:38.000 There are hundreds of the clowns.
00:44:39.000 How are we gonna fit all of the clowns in this tiny clown car?
00:44:42.000 Maybe they will.
00:44:42.000 It's a circus.
00:44:43.000 Here is Jared Moskowitz dressed as Vladimir Putin.
00:44:48.000 So he's wearing a Vladimir Putin mask when he says all that.
00:44:53.000 So if you can't hear him, it's because he was dressed like a clown.
00:44:55.000 committee, maybe he can come see the technology in our grocery stores. Thank you.
00:45:00.000 Congressman, I think his behavior is kind of immature.
00:45:02.000 So he's wearing a Vladimir Putin mask when he says all that.
00:45:03.000 a clown.
00:45:10.000 Other clowns included Alexander Ocasio-Cortez, who is a deeply stupid human being,
00:45:17.000 does not have two brain cells to rub together.
00:45:19.000 So she was questioning Tony Bobulinski, and she suddenly announced that RICO violations are not a crime, which is weird, because they are.
00:45:26.000 In fact, if RICO violations are not a crime, then she ought to have a talk with Fannie Willis, who's alleging precisely that criminal violation.
00:45:32.000 In any case, here is Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez making a fool of herself, because not only is she a lawyer, she's not even a half-bright human being.
00:45:39.000 Is it your testimony today that you personally witnessed President Joe Biden commit a crime?
00:45:52.000 I believe the fact that he was sitting with me while I was putting together a business deal.
00:45:56.000 Did you witness the president commit a crime?
00:45:59.000 Is it your testimony today?
00:46:00.000 Yes.
00:46:01.000 And what crime have you witnessed?
00:46:05.000 How much time do I have to go through it?
00:46:06.000 It is simple.
00:46:07.000 You name the crime.
00:46:09.000 Did you watch him steal something?
00:46:11.000 Corruption statutes, RICO and conspiracy.
00:46:14.000 What is it?
00:46:15.000 What is the crime, sir?
00:46:17.000 Uh, what?
00:46:18.000 It is a statute.
00:46:19.000 You keep up you asked me to answer the question I answered the question no go you're obviously not familiar with
00:46:25.000 Excuse me, sir. Excuse me, sir. Excuse me, sir Rico is not a crime. It is a category
00:46:33.000 What it is a statute and that statute has criminal violations within it
00:46:40.000 Is that it's a weird it's a weird statement It's like saying that campaign finance, if you say you violated campaign finance law, well, did you see him sign a check and involve himself directly in bribery?
00:46:52.000 And you're like, well, I did see him engaging in campaign finance violence.
00:46:56.000 That's not a crime.
00:46:56.000 That's a category of crime.
00:47:00.000 Oh, these are the people that we send to Congress.
00:47:02.000 We deserve everything we get in this country because this is our choice.
00:47:05.000 We are the voters and it is our fault.
00:47:06.000 In any case, Tony Bobulinski, who again was in business with Hunter Biden.
00:47:11.000 He is the original source of the documents that suggested that Hunter Biden was saving 10% for the big guy.
00:47:16.000 Here was Tony Bobulinski yesterday slamming Democrats.
00:47:20.000 In fact, my business success is why they sought me out.
00:47:23.000 However, what they have done is repugnant to me.
00:47:26.000 I am here today because I'm a patriot and I'm a truth teller.
00:47:30.000 We keep hearing from certain corners that our democracy is at risk and democracy is on the ballot in 24.
00:47:36.000 Yet the same people preaching this mantra know better.
00:47:39.000 They continue to lie directly to the American people without hesitation and remorse.
00:47:45.000 Rep.
00:47:46.000 Dan Goldman and Jamie Raskin, both lawyers, and Mr. Goldman, a former prosecutor with the SDNY from New York, will continue to lie today in this hearing and then go straight to the media to tell more lies.
00:47:58.000 Hunter Biden's defense attorney, Abby Lowell, weaponized his letters to Congress to try to smear my name.
00:48:05.000 The cold hard facts.
00:48:06.000 Mr. Chairman.
00:48:07.000 In an attempt to save his powerfully connected client and his father.
00:48:11.000 I challenge Mr. Lowell to make those claims on national television so he can be held accountable for his lies.
00:48:17.000 Okay, so, congressmen on the Democratic side of the aisle started to get very upset about this and Bobulinski went at it with them.
00:48:24.000 Bobulinski also testified that Hunter Biden, Hunter Biden when he said the big guy meant Joe Biden.
00:48:29.000 Here's Bobulinski.
00:48:31.000 Mr. Bobulinski, who's the big guy?
00:48:34.000 Are you sure about that?
00:48:35.000 Because when- Joe Biden?
00:48:37.000 You're sure?
00:48:38.000 I'm a thousand percent sure.
00:48:40.000 Okay.
00:48:41.000 Meanwhile, Democrats trotted out Lev Parnas to claim that this is all Russian disinformation.
00:48:45.000 Lev Parnas, a former associate of Rudy Giuliani, he was sentenced to a year and eight months in prison for fraud and campaign finance crimes, or what AOC might call a category of crimes.
00:48:56.000 Back in 2022, here he was testifying that everything surrounding Joe and Hunter Biden is really just Russian disinformation.
00:49:03.000 I say this to you because I love this country.
00:49:06.000 From shortly after my arrest on October 9, 2019 to now, I have been trying to share the irrefutable truth with you.
00:49:14.000 The American people have been lied to by Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and various cohorts of individuals in government and media positions.
00:49:23.000 They created falsehoods to serve their own interests, knowing it would undermine the strength of our nation.
00:49:27.000 The only information ever pushed on the Bidens in Ukraine has come from one source, and one source only.
00:49:33.000 Russia and Russian agents.
00:49:36.000 The impeachment proceedings that bring us here now are predicated on false information spread by the Kremlin.
00:49:42.000 Well, that's weird because Tony Bobulinski, unless you're accusing him of being a Kremlin agent, is saying the thing right in front of you.
00:49:48.000 In any case, does this mean that Joe Biden is going to be impeached?
00:49:50.000 Again, I think it's unlikely that Joe Biden will end up being impeached, but that doesn't matter.
00:49:54.000 The American public know that Joe Biden was engaged in a corruption scheme with his family.
00:49:59.000 Every member of his family got significantly richer off Joe Biden's name over the course of his tenure in the Senate, in the Vice Presidency, and in the Presidency.
00:50:06.000 There's nothing new under the sun here, and everybody knows it.
00:50:09.000 Alrighty guys, the rest of the show continues right now.
00:50:11.000 We'll be joined on the line by one of our field reporters at The Daily Wire, Spencer Lindquist.
00:50:14.000 Plus, we'll talk about whether Disney has some sort of death wish when it comes to the Star Wars brand.
00:50:18.000 If you're not a member, become a member.
00:50:19.000 Use code SHAPIRO.
