The Ben Shapiro Show - Your Idiot Rulers Finally Say The Masks Can Come Off | Ep. 1257

00:00:00.000 Months late, the CDC finally announces that those who have been vaccinated can take off their masks.

00:00:05.000 Joe Biden continues his war on teleprompters.

00:00:07.000 And Israel pulls one of the great military misdirects in modern history. 0.65

00:00:10.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.

00:00:10.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:20.000 Why haven't you gotten a VPN yet?

00:00:22.000 Visit expressvpn.com slash ben to do so.

00:00:25.000 Okay, so you can take off your mask if you're vaccinated.

00:00:28.000 Well, who's been telling you that for months on end?

00:00:29.000 Hmm?

00:00:30.000 Who's been saying that?

00:00:31.000 But every time we have said that for months on end, we have worried that YouTube will take down our videos or that Apple will somehow censor us or that Facebook will hit us with a fact check.

00:00:39.000 Why?

00:00:39.000 Well, because your public health experts have been lying to you.

00:00:42.000 See, here is the thing, and this has been a thing throughout the pandemic.

00:00:45.000 Science is a process.

00:00:47.000 Science is rooted in data.

00:00:48.000 It's rooted in hypotheses, which are then either falsified or held up by the data.

00:00:53.000 Science is not, in fact, a group of quote-unquote tescientists.

00:00:57.000 It's not an institution.

00:00:59.000 Science is not Anthony Fauci.

00:01:00.000 Science is not Rochelle Walensky.

00:01:01.000 Science is not any of these jokers.

00:01:03.000 Science is a process of verifying truth or falsity.

00:01:07.000 And so those of us who have been looking at the data all along knew that once you are vaccinated and you are two weeks past your final vaccination, you don't need to wear a mask anymore.

00:01:15.000 In fact, in these very offices, I was very into masking because I didn't want to infect my parents.

00:01:21.000 I was very into masking up until the point at which they got vaccinated and I got vaccinated.

00:01:25.000 And at that point, I said to everyone in the offices, if you don't want to wear a mask and you have the option to get vaccinated, if you choose not to get vaccinated, that's a you problem.

00:01:34.000 If you choose to wear a mask, that's a you problem.

00:01:37.000 Once you are vaccinated, you don't have to care.

00:01:40.000 I've been saying this for months.

00:01:41.000 You know why?

00:01:41.000 Because I read the studies.

00:01:42.000 You know why?

00:01:43.000 Because I followed the data.

00:01:44.000 You know why? 0.95

00:01:44.000 Because I didn't listen to the dullards in the public health establishment who have been infected with politics. 0.95

00:01:49.000 We were told for a year that Donald Trump infused all of his COVID response with politics.

00:01:54.000 And they pointed to his supposed pressure on the CDC, which the CDC denied.

00:01:57.000 And they pointed to his so-called pressure on Anthony Fauci with Fauci, which Fauci denied.

00:02:02.000 And then Joe Biden came into office and the entire public health establishment just started mirroring whatever Joe Biden wanted politically.

00:02:10.000 They started going soft on whether schools should reopen, even though the data said that schools should be open.

00:02:15.000 They started suggesting that vaccines weren't all that effective.

00:02:18.000 They started suggesting That workplaces should continue to socially distance even after people have been vaccinated.

00:02:25.000 Joe Biden was appearing publicly 20,000 feet away from anybody outdoors and he was still masking.

00:02:30.000 Kamala Harris was kissing her husband on tarmac through a mask even though both of them had been vaccinated.

00:02:36.000 None of this was in compliance with science.

00:02:39.000 All of it was politically driven bullcrap because as I said, the goal of the Biden administration was to gin up a feeling of panic and unease and unrest so that they could foster all of this massive government growth.

00:02:51.000 The idea was that if we are in the middle of a crisis, then we still need more government.

00:02:55.000 And that of course was using every crisis as an opportunity.

00:02:58.000 And if the crisis was already on the wane, as it has been for months, then you just manufacture a feeling of crisis.

00:03:04.000 Okay, so yesterday the public health experts decided based on no new data, none, that everything I've been saying for the past several months is correct.

00:03:14.000 Okay, now, it's very important to note here the timing.

00:03:16.000 Again, all of this data has been widely available for months.

00:03:20.000 It's been available since February and March.

00:03:22.000 And we have known, since even before then, that if you had COVID, and you had developed antibodies to COVID, you were not going to infect anyone.

00:03:28.000 And yet everybody was busy screaming at Rand Paul, suggesting that if Rand Paul stripped off his mask, he was going to infect people.

00:03:33.000 That was not true.

00:03:35.000 And Rand Paul happened to be correct about that.

00:03:37.000 I know, because I was talking to people who are actual epidemiologists.

00:03:40.000 I was talking to people who are actual doctors, like Dr. Marty McCarry over at Johns Hopkins University.

00:03:45.000 And yet we were told by the public health experts, the institutional know-it-alls, that you had to listen to them, even if what they were saying was not in consonance with the science.

00:03:54.000 This is what happens when you have an idol-worshipping society, when people have determined that there are people who know more than everybody else, and their expertise, this cult of expertise, has to be paid attention to, even when the experts are speaking not from their own expertise, but via politics.

00:04:08.000 And you can tell, because experts are able to show their work.

00:04:11.000 Experts are able to tell you why they think the things that they do.

00:04:14.000 Every day on this show, for months, we've been playing clips of Rochelle Walensky unable to explain her own policies. 1.00

00:04:19.000 We've been playing clips for months of Fauci being unable to explain what the hell he's talking about.

00:04:25.000 And then if you say that, then your social media betters shut you down because you're not speaking in consonance with the CDC.

00:04:31.000 Well, the CDC was not speaking in consonance with science.

00:04:34.000 How do we know?

00:04:34.000 Because again, none of the data changed.

00:04:37.000 They changed all their standards yesterday.

00:04:39.000 And the reason they changed all their standards yesterday, to tell people who are vaccinated that now finally they could unmask, had nothing to do with science.

00:04:45.000 It had nothing to do with data.

00:04:46.000 It had to do with the fact that Joe Biden had a terrible couple of weeks politically.

00:04:50.000 It had to do with the fact that inflation is starting to hit, and hit really hard, and not enough people are in the workforce.

00:04:54.000 And Joe Biden has to encourage people to get back into the workforce, because if we don't have enough people back in the workforce, going back into their regular lives, inflation is going to spiral out of control.

00:05:03.000 That's what this has to do with.

00:05:04.000 Okay, so the White House's new announcement, their sort of triumphal announcement, you can take off masks, what it really exposes is not that we beat COVID.

00:05:14.000 We beat COVID months ago.

00:05:16.000 What it really exposes is that so much of this has been politically driven and remains politically driven.

00:05:21.000 And if you ask me for my outcome from this, who I trust and who I don't, I'll tell you who I trust.

00:05:26.000 Big Pharma, who actually came up with the actual solution to this thing.

00:05:29.000 I'll tell you who I don't trust.

00:05:30.000 The government sources who lied to you every step of the way.

00:05:33.000 And I don't mean that they made mistakes.

00:05:35.000 Making mistakes is understandable.

00:05:36.000 In the early days of the pandemic, there were a lot of mistakes made.

00:05:39.000 Understandable.

00:05:40.000 It was a novel coronavirus.

00:05:41.000 We didn't know all that much about it.

00:05:43.000 But then it became overt lying.

00:05:45.000 And we've had overt lying for months on end.

00:05:48.000 And that becomes clear when finally they tell the truth.

00:05:49.000 Okay, so yesterday, the White House puts out an announcement via Twitter in the middle of the day.

00:05:55.000 Big news from the CDC.

00:05:56.000 If you're fully vaccinated, you do not need to wear a mask indoors or outdoors in most settings.

00:06:00.000 We've gotten this far.

00:06:01.000 Whether you choose to get vaccinated or wear a mask, please protect yourself until we get to the finish line.

00:06:06.000 Okay, so here's the thing. 0.79

00:06:08.000 Even the CDC guidance is stupid, because the CDC guidance says that if you're vaccinated, you still have to wear a mask if you go on a plane, for example. 0.97

00:06:13.000 Why? 0.99

00:06:15.000 Why?

00:06:15.000 There's no reason for it.

00:06:17.000 They say if you're on public transit, you still have to wear a mask.

00:06:20.000 They say that if there are stores that ban you from coming inside without a mask, even if you're vaccinated, that that's perfectly okay as well.

00:06:28.000 They say that if you're in a doctor's office, that you're supposed to still wear a mask, even if you're fully vaccinated. 1.00

00:06:34.000 This is all stupidity. 0.99

00:06:35.000 Now, some of this is rooted in another level of ideology, which is, how do we tell who's vaccinated and who isn't? 0.99

00:06:42.000 And if we remove the mask rules, then what if unvaccinated people take advantage of this to unmask along with the vaccinated people?

00:06:49.000 And the answer is, if you are vaccinated, you should not care.

00:06:53.000 Nancy Pelosi said that she is not going to change the rules on the House floor.

00:06:57.000 She said, until everybody is vaccinated, I'm not going to change the rules on the House floor.

00:07:00.000 Why?

00:07:01.000 Everybody there has had the opportunity to be vaccinated.

00:07:03.000 If they don't want to be vaccinated, that's a them problem.

00:07:05.000 There's a small subgroup of people who do have a problem.

00:07:08.000 That small subgroup of people are people who literally cannot get the vaccine.

00:07:11.000 I'm not talking about it's unavailable to them, because the vaccines are available to everybody at this point, even if you have to drive a little bit.

00:07:17.000 The vaccines, there are some people who can't get them for actual medical reasons.

00:07:23.000 For those people, there are N95s available.

00:07:25.000 For those people, there are masks available.

00:07:27.000 They have to protect themselves.

00:07:28.000 Understood.

00:07:29.000 But the notion that the rest of society is supposed to continue masking up and not going to work... 0.96

00:07:34.000 Is ridiculous.

00:07:34.000 Okay, so even the CDC's current standards make no sense.

00:07:37.000 But again, the reason that I'm rather ticked off this morning is because the people who claim to speak in the name of the science never did.

00:07:44.000 And now that they are speaking in the name of the science, they claim they were always speaking in the name of the science.

00:07:48.000 So they're retconning history.

00:07:50.000 They lied to you for months.

00:07:51.000 Now they're telling you the truth.

00:07:52.000 And because they're telling you the truth today, they're suggesting they were telling you the truth all along.

00:07:55.000 And that is untrue.

00:07:57.000 This is all politics.

00:07:58.000 The experts are not interested in conveying you to the data.

00:08:01.000 They're not interested in conveying to you the science.

00:08:03.000 They are interested in what gets Joe Biden where he needs to go.

00:08:08.000 And if Joe Biden was stuck in this sort of catch-22, where the COVID pandemic had to be extended in order for him to get his jollies in terms of policy, and then it turns out that his policy jollies were undercutting the health of the American economy and he was feeling the blowback, then he has to shift one or the other, right?

00:08:24.000 Either he has to shift his policy, or he has to shift the COVID pandemic talk, or both.

00:08:28.000 And that's exactly what you are seeing right now.

00:08:30.000 This has nothing to do with science and everything to do with politics.

00:08:32.000 We'll get to more of it in just one second.

00:08:34.000 First, let us talk about the fact that my kids wake me up unbelievably early in the morning, every single morning, and there is one product that gets me through.

00:08:41.000 I'm talking, of course, about Black Rifle Coffee.

00:08:43.000 Black Rifle Coffee is delivering your daily dose of freedom, one delicious cup at a time.

00:09:37.000 That is BlackRifleCoffee.com slash Shapiro.

00:09:40.000 Promo code Shapiro.

00:09:42.000 Yesterday, Rochelle Walensky, who just three weeks ago, based on no data at all, was suggesting that doom was on the way.

00:09:49.000 Rochelle Walensky, who less than a week ago was suggesting you needed to continue masking even if you'd been vaccinated.

00:09:55.000 Despite all of the data, this public health expert, right, science as an institution versus science as a process, Rochelle Walensky, she says, you know what, now you can take off your mask.

00:10:04.000 Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities, large or small, without wearing a mask or physical distancing.

00:10:15.000 If you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic.

00:10:22.000 Once you are fully vaccinated, two weeks after your last dose, you can shed your mask.

00:10:29.000 Okay, and then she says, you know what?

00:10:29.000 You know what drove this?

00:10:30.000 What drove this is science, of course.

00:10:32.000 Now, here's the thing.

00:10:33.000 Have there been any new studies?

00:10:35.000 Nope, not a one.

00:10:36.000 Not a one.

00:10:37.000 We knew this months ago.

00:10:38.000 Months ago.

00:10:40.000 This is precisely what I was trying to get at with the director of the CDC, Dr. Walensky, when I spoke to her after.

00:10:47.000 She was asked twice about this during the conference, once by Caitlin, and she sort of dodged it, saying, you know, there's going to be more guidance forthcoming on this.

00:10:57.000 The science sort of applies still here.

00:10:59.000 It still applies, right?

00:11:00.000 The science is indoors, large gathering or small gathering, if everyone is vaccinated, you don't need to wear masks.

00:11:07.000 Okay, Sanjay Gupta, he said, the science.

00:11:10.000 The science didn't change anything.

00:11:11.000 Okay, the science has been known.

00:11:14.000 It's been known.

00:11:15.000 You know how I know that?

00:11:16.000 Because I've been saying it for months.

00:11:18.000 And every time you say, oh, you're a science denier.

00:11:20.000 No, I'm a scientific institution denier.

00:11:23.000 I don't believe that these quote-unquote institutions have a monopoly on the process of science.

00:11:27.000 And they demonstrate their unverifiable nonsense every single day.

00:11:32.000 It's incredible to me.

00:11:34.000 Okay, it just pisses me off that for months we were told that you were somehow putting people at risk when you were not.

00:11:40.000 This administration undermined vaccines.

00:11:42.000 This administration, for months, had Joe Biden out there telling you.

00:11:45.000 A week ago, he was telling you it was patriotic to mask up after you and your friend were vaccinated if you were sitting in close contact.

00:11:51.000 You should mask because you're patriotic.

00:11:53.000 He said that last week.

00:11:55.000 And now, magically, you can take off the masks forever.

00:11:58.000 And the answer is, had nothing to do with science.

00:12:01.000 Yes, he created vaccine hesitancy.

00:12:03.000 Yes, he undermined the American economy.

00:12:05.000 Yes, he was lying to you.

00:12:06.000 They were all lying to you.

00:12:09.000 And you'll remember that just a couple of weeks ago, maybe a week ago, There was a CDC masking chart that was put out, right?

00:12:15.000 It was supposed to change the standards for what you can do if you're fully vaccinated.

00:12:19.000 And it said that if you were outdoors, you could unmask if you were fully vaccinated.

00:12:24.000 And then they said that if you were fully vaccinated, you still had to wear a mask if you went to a crowded outdoor event, like a live performance parade or sports event.

00:12:33.000 And everything indoors, you were supposed to mask.

00:12:35.000 And you'll remember, I went through this chart in detail.

00:12:37.000 I went through every line of this chart and I said, everything on the right-hand side of this chart is a lie.

00:12:43.000 Go back and watch the tape.

00:12:44.000 Everything that says fully vaccinated people that you're not supposed to do, it's a lie.

00:12:48.000 You can do all of these things and you don't need a mask for any of them.

00:12:50.000 I said this two weeks ago.

00:12:53.000 And then, and then we were so worried about social media that YouTube was going to give us like check marks and take down our videos because this is what social media does.

00:13:05.000 It had nothing to do with facts.

00:13:07.000 Okay, so here's the new CDC graphic, by the way.

00:13:10.000 Oh wait, it looks exactly like what I told them to do.

00:13:11.000 Go back and look at the tape.

00:13:14.000 Honestly, we should pull the clip of me saying what this chart should look like versus what the chart now looks like.

00:13:19.000 They are identical. 0.75

00:13:19.000 Okay, the whole thing is ridiculous. 0.75

00:13:23.000 On its face, it's ridiculous. 0.98

00:13:25.000 So Anthony Fauci came out yesterday and he said, you know what?

00:13:28.000 We have to get rid of restrictions so people can get, like, it can feel like they're getting back to normal.

00:13:32.000 What?

00:13:33.000 I have a question.

00:13:34.000 Where is Anthony Fauci and what have you done with him?

00:13:36.000 Where's the real Anthony Fauci?

00:13:37.000 Where'd you get this imposter?

00:13:39.000 Here's Anthony Fauci saying, maybe this will cause people to get vaccinated.

00:13:42.000 This is the same administration that refused to acknowledge that you could go out and live life after getting vaccinated.

00:13:47.000 This is the same administration that undermined vaccines by suggesting that we had to pause the J&J rollout because there were six cases out of six million people who had blood clots.

00:13:58.000 And here's Anthony Fauci saying, you know, maybe this will encourage people to get vaccinated.

00:14:02.000 You know who's been saying this for months?

00:14:05.000 Right here.

00:14:06.000 Who's got two thumbs up and saying that?

00:14:07.000 This guy.

00:14:09.000 Here's Anthony Fauci.

00:14:11.000 What we're doing now, with the relaxation of the restrictions on people who are vaccinated, is trying to get back to a degree of normality which people who get vaccinated deserve to have that.

00:14:24.000 That's been one of the things that's been the concern.

00:14:26.000 Saying, if I get vaccinated, what difference is it going to make?

00:14:30.000 My life hasn't really changed that much.

00:14:32.000 Well, now your life is going to change that much.

00:14:35.000 For people who are not vaccinated, this might be.

00:14:40.000 Okay, so it's amazing.

00:14:44.000 Now he's saying what is scientifically true.

00:14:47.000 So is he lying before or is he lying now?

00:14:49.000 For the left, amazingly, they're saying he's lying now.

00:14:51.000 The left is like, well, I don't even know why they're saying we should take off our masks.

00:14:54.000 Maybe we should wear our masks forever.

00:14:56.000 First of all, let me just say this. 0.99

00:14:57.000 You're a sheep. 0.99

00:14:59.000 You're a sheep if you are wearing a mask now. 0.97

00:15:01.000 If you're wearing a mask and you've been vaccinated, it's because you're a sheep. 0.71

00:15:06.000 You're free to be a sheep.

00:15:07.000 It's a free country.

00:15:08.000 But you are.

00:15:09.000 You are living life in fear for no reason.

00:15:12.000 These vaccines are unbelievably effective. 1.00

00:15:15.000 Even your own garbage administration is telling you that. 0.99

00:15:17.000 Okay, but Anthony Fauci, I love this. 0.97

00:15:20.000 The flip in time is just incredible.

00:15:22.000 I mean, you're getting whiplash here.

00:15:24.000 Here's Anthony Fauci saying, you know, this is a step in the right direction.

00:15:27.000 Yeah, we noticed.

00:15:29.000 I wouldn't go so far as to say it's essentially over.

00:15:32.000 I think this is a very important step in the direction of trying to get back to some degree of normality because this is something that everyone has had on their mind.

00:15:41.000 You know, I'm vaccinated.

00:15:43.000 When can I start doing things a little bit more in the normal trend and being able to go around without a mask indoors as well as outdoors?

00:15:52.000 is really a big step in that direction.

00:15:54.000 So I wouldn't want to declare victory prematurely, but I'm saying this is clearly a step in the direction that we want to go.

00:16:01.000 Unbelievable.

00:16:01.000 By the way, how bad is the whiplash here?

00:16:03.000 Here's how bad the whiplash was.

00:16:04.000 Yesterday afternoon, they announced, the CDC announced that if you had been vaccinated, you could take off your mask.

00:16:11.000 Just before that, Joe Biden had had a meeting in the White House with the House Minority Leader and House Majority Leader and the Speaker of the House and all the various leaders of the various parties.

00:16:22.000 Everybody in the room had been vaccinated.

00:16:24.000 And there's a picture going around of every single person in the room wearing a mask.

00:16:27.000 And so a senior Biden advisor, Andy Slavitt, who's been wrong on three quarters of this stuff, Andy Slavitt, a COVID advisor to Biden, was asked, so why was Joe Biden masked? He is vaccinated.

00:16:39.000 Everyone in the room is vaccinated. Here was Andy Slavitt's answer yesterday.

00:16:43.000 Yesterday morning, before the CDC announced that, by the way, you can take off the mask.

00:16:48.000 I'm not sure that the president is the average person.

00:16:52.000 I personally think there's a lot of protections around the president.

00:16:54.000 Why does he need lots of Secret Service agents?

00:16:56.000 Why does he, why do they, you know, belt and suspender everything with the president?

00:16:59.000 Because he's a very important person.

00:17:01.000 And I think you shouldn't take your mark just by what you see in the Oval Office.

00:17:04.000 I think most people, if you're indoors, around other people that are vaccinated, the CDC says it's okay.

00:17:10.000 And I think you should listen to the CDC on that.

00:17:12.000 I mean, it's unreal.

00:17:12.000 So basically, he has no rationale whatsoever.

00:17:15.000 But they were still promulgating this crap, knowing that it was crap. 0.99

00:17:17.000 And then the CDC changed its standard later in the day. 1.00

00:17:19.000 Again, all of this had to do with the fact that Joe Biden is a giant failure of a president.

00:17:23.000 And because he's a failure of a president, he needs to declare early victory.

00:17:27.000 Remember, the original date they were going to declare victory was July 4th.

00:17:30.000 Why?

00:17:30.000 Because they wanted the symbolic victory on July 4th.

00:17:33.000 And because they were hoping that before July 4th, they could ram through these trillions of dollars in spending.

00:17:37.000 Then it turns out the inflation blew up.

00:17:39.000 It turns out that Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema weren't going to go along with it.

00:17:43.000 And so Joe Biden had a choice.

00:17:44.000 He can continue to foster this world-beating, giant spending agenda and blow out the economy in the process.

00:17:51.000 Or I can walk this thing back a little bit.

00:17:54.000 And so he decided yesterday that it was time for a new news cycle.

00:17:57.000 That's what this really is about.

00:17:58.000 I'm talking about manipulation of science on behalf of politics.

00:18:01.000 This is it.

00:18:02.000 We're going to get to more of this in just one second.

00:18:03.000 Because again, this whiplash is just extraordinary.

00:18:06.000 And everybody needs a neck examination after this one.

00:18:08.000 First, Let's talk about ways you can keep your family safe and secure.

00:18:13.000 You've heard me share about how important the Second Amendment is to the foundation of the country.

00:18:16.000 You might even be one of the over 5 million citizens who purchased a firearm for the first time in 2020.

00:18:20.000 If you've taken that first step of protecting yourself with a firearm, the next step in your personal protection plan should be considering body armor for yourself and your family.

00:18:27.000 If somebody comes in your house, it's not just a matter of having a weapon to defend yourself.

00:18:30.000 It'd be good if you had some sort of device to prevent you from being harmed.

00:18:34.000 Shopping for body armor may seem like something you never thought you'd have to do.

00:18:36.000 You may not know where to begin.

00:18:38.000 In fact, you might not even know you can buy body armor.

00:19:34.000 Use code Ben at checkout for 20% off.

00:19:36.000 Okay, so...

00:19:38.000 And the whiplash can give you a real headache here.

00:19:40.000 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris made their first maskless appearance yesterday.

00:19:45.000 They should have done this months ago.

00:19:46.000 That would have encouraged people to get the vaccine.

00:19:48.000 Instead, they decided to delay for months because they wanted the feeling of panic.

00:19:51.000 Then it turns out that the feeling of panic wasn't actually forwarding their legislative agenda in any serious fashion.

00:19:56.000 All it was doing was artificially lowering the labor market and creating inflation.

00:20:01.000 so they decided to reverse themselves yesterday.

00:20:13.000 And you've got a great smile.

00:20:17.000 Oh, so much happiness.

00:20:17.000 Oh, oh, we took off our masks.

00:20:20.000 Oh, amazing.

00:20:21.000 Amazing.

00:20:22.000 And of course, the media ate all of this up.

00:20:24.000 CNN's Alison Camerota said I was welling up.

00:20:25.000 Oh, the tears, the tears.

00:20:27.000 Was it them lying to you that had you welling up?

00:20:29.000 Because presumably, Alison Camerota, like pretty much everybody else at CNN, and everybody else in America, has had the opportunity to get vaccinated.

00:20:37.000 So, why was this making you well up as opposed to, you know, once you got the vaccine, you could go back to your regular life, which we all knew months ago.

00:20:45.000 And this wasn't a secret.

00:20:46.000 They were just lying.

00:20:47.000 Here's Alison Camerota. 0.98

00:20:49.000 I found myself welling up when Dr. Walensky was talking and she said, we have an exciting announcement.

00:20:55.000 And I still find myself welling up even right now because, you know, you and I talked every morning, you know, during the past year about, How many more Americans were going to die, you know?

00:21:08.000 What was going to happen?

00:21:09.000 Were we going to make it to the vaccines?

00:21:10.000 Were we all going to survive?

00:21:12.000 What was going to happen?

00:21:13.000 And you know, 580,000 Americans didn't make it to this day, you know?

00:21:18.000 This day that they say that we can throw these away, that we've all been clinging to.

00:21:24.000 It's so moving.

00:21:25.000 The media's moved.

00:21:25.000 Now, it might have been their job to ask questions for like, you know, the last several months about why it is that we shouldn't have been taking off the masks months ago.

00:21:32.000 But they were too busy kissing ass. 0.99

00:21:34.000 Because this is mostly what they do. 0.99

00:21:35.000 By the way, they're not just whiplashing on this.

00:21:37.000 They're also whiplashing on schools.

00:21:39.000 So, Anthony Fauci.

00:21:40.000 Again, where is Anthony Fauci and what have you done with him?

00:21:42.000 Yesterday, he was like, it's time to open the schools!

00:21:44.000 Come follow me!

00:21:44.000 Gotta open these schools!

00:21:46.000 Yes!

00:21:46.000 Some of us have been knowing this since, like, last year.

00:21:49.000 Like, last summer.

00:21:50.000 My kids have been in school since October. 0.95

00:21:52.000 The hell are you talking?

00:21:53.000 Like, you're a little late on this one. 0.70

00:21:56.000 I believe the school should be open five days, full blast, just the way it was before.

00:22:03.000 We really have to do that by the time we get to the fall.

00:22:06.000 And if the kids are vaccinated, no masks required, right?

00:22:11.000 Right.

00:22:11.000 Well, again, I'm going to leave that to the CDC to make that decision, but I would think that that certainly would be an option if the children are vaccinated not to have a mask.

00:22:19.000 It's unbelievable.

00:22:20.000 I'm going to leave that to the CDC.

00:22:21.000 You could just say it.

00:22:23.000 You could.

00:22:23.000 By the way, you know how bad this was for the Democrats?

00:22:25.000 You know how bad this issue is turning for the Democrats?

00:22:27.000 Randy Weingarten of the American Federation for Teachers, even she came out and she's like, yeah, you know, maybe we should just reopen the schools.

00:22:34.000 It was her fault!

00:22:35.000 She was the one talking to the CDC and having them change their standards to slow the reopening.

00:22:39.000 The blowback against Democrats because of their COVID alarmism in the post-vaccination era, it must have been serious for them to reverse this fast.

00:22:47.000 It really must have been.

00:22:50.000 Okay, in one second, we'll get to Randy Weingarten reversing herself, because it is pretty incredible.

00:22:53.000 Again, the entire reversal here, it is driven by politics.

00:22:56.000 First, let's talk about your sleep quality.

00:22:57.000 So, Helix Sleep.

00:22:59.000 They are the people who keep me going.

00:23:55.000 You should too.

00:23:56.000 Go check them out.

00:23:57.000 HelixSleep.com slash Ben to get started.

00:24:00.000 Okay, so even Randy Weingarten is now shifting on this stuff.

00:24:03.000 Here's Randy Weingarten, the head of the American Federation for Teachers.

00:24:05.000 saying, yeah, maybe we should open up the schools now.

00:24:09.000 Today, 97% of schools across the country are open for in-person learning, either full or part-time.

00:24:18.000 Conditions have changed.

00:24:22.000 We can and we must reopen schools in the fall for in-person teaching, learning, and support.

00:24:31.000 And we must keep them open, fully and safely, five days a week.

00:24:40.000 Believable.

00:24:40.000 I mean, seriously.

00:24:42.000 This lady was single-handedly responsible for the CDC redrawing its standards to not reopen schools before the end of the school year.

00:24:49.000 So we're basically at the end of the school year right now.

00:24:51.000 And now she's like, yeah, by the fall.

00:24:52.000 And she announced it the same day as Fauci.

00:24:54.000 This is all politics.

00:24:56.000 These folks are not public health experts.

00:24:58.000 They are politicians with white coats.

00:25:02.000 And sometimes not even with white coats.

00:25:05.000 It's just absurd.

00:25:07.000 Hey, meanwhile, Jill Biden was out there celebrating as well.

00:25:09.000 She said she got real weird here.

00:25:10.000 This has got strange.

00:25:13.000 What does that mean to the people of West Virginia?

00:25:15.000 That means get vaccinated.

00:25:17.000 That's what it means.

00:25:18.000 Everybody get vaccinated and you feel free.

00:25:21.000 We felt free the first time we knew what to do.

00:25:25.000 We feel naked, right?

00:25:28.000 Yeah, Jill, the greatest of all doctors.

00:25:32.000 All right.

00:25:33.000 Well, here's the thing.

00:25:34.000 Once you have set this train in motion, the we're scared of real life train, the don't examine the science, just listen to the experts train.

00:25:41.000 Once you've set into a chain of effect, a feeling of incipient doom and panic, it's very difficult to roll that back.

00:25:47.000 And that is what you are seeing today.

00:25:49.000 So it doesn't matter that the Biden administration finally caught up with the science months late.

00:25:54.000 The left can't swivel on a dime that way.

00:25:56.000 And so they continue to panic.

00:25:57.000 You're seeing this all over leftist Twitter.

00:25:59.000 You're seeing it in the media.

00:26:00.000 People like, well, yeah, but if we take off our masks and we're vaccinated, won't that encourage the unvaccinated to unmask? 0.89

00:26:06.000 Well, here's the thing.

00:26:07.000 Once you're vaccinated, you shouldn't care.

00:26:10.000 You're vaccinated.

00:26:11.000 You're safe.

00:26:12.000 You're good.

00:26:13.000 If somebody else chooses not to get the vaccine, that would be a them problem.

00:26:17.000 That's a problem that they're going to have to deal with.

00:26:19.000 I'm not talking again about people who don't have the ability to get a vaccine because of a health problem.

00:26:23.000 Those people should be given N95s or KN95s and they should make themselves safe in however they can.

00:26:29.000 But it is none of your business whether somebody else has had a vaccine or not once you have had the vaccine.

00:26:34.000 That is the entire point.

00:26:36.000 All of this is really just an excuse for virtue signaling because the mask over the past year has become a virtue signaling device.

00:26:42.000 Which was always insane to me.

00:26:43.000 I always said, from the very beginning, I said, if masks are useful, you should wear them in public places if you're not vaccinated to prevent yourself and others from getting this disease.

00:26:53.000 And then I said, once you're vaccinated, you don't need the mask, because this is all what the data said, right?

00:26:56.000 I just followed the data, not the public health experts, who weren't experts.

00:26:59.000 They were lying to you.

00:27:01.000 And now, you've got the same public health experts being like, I'm alarmed by this.

00:27:04.000 This is, I mean, what?

00:27:05.000 This is just crazy.

00:27:07.000 Because it turns out that this is a mentality.

00:27:09.000 It's a way of life.

00:27:10.000 It's an attitude toward life.

00:27:11.000 It is a risk-averse attitude toward life that is unjustifiable under current data.

00:27:16.000 The people right now on the left who continue to maintain the idea that you're supposed to mask mandate, this is because they've entered a world in which they like being told what to do.

00:27:25.000 That is all this is.

00:27:26.000 So CNN's Leanna Wench says, I was shocked that the CDC came out with this announcement.

00:27:29.000 Shocked.

00:27:30.000 Why?

00:27:30.000 We've known for months that once you're vaccinated, you are good to go.

00:27:35.000 Frankly, I was shocked by this announcement.

00:27:38.000 I think they went from one extreme to another, and the major step that's missing here is, how do we know that people are telling the truth?

00:27:45.000 We talked in the last hour about the honor code.

00:27:47.000 I mean, if you're going to the grocery store, maybe you're fully vaccinated, you take off your mask at the grocery store, but who's going to be checking to see if others are Also vaccinated.

00:27:57.000 So what does that mean?

00:27:58.000 If I'm bringing my son, my four-year-old, who's not fully vaccinated, now he's going to be in a grocery store potentially exposed to people who are not vaccinated who could be of danger to him.

00:28:07.000 And so I guess I am kind of befuddled as to where this guidance came from.

00:28:12.000 If you're worried about your four-year-old son, I have an idea.

00:28:14.000 He can continue to mask.

00:28:16.000 Or, alternatively, he can stay home when you go to the grocery store.

00:28:19.000 It's none of your business whether other people are vaccinated once you yourself are vaccinated.

00:28:24.000 And, again, this is rooted in the idea that is true, as I've been saying all along, that kids who are young are not in serious danger from COVID because, statistically speaking, they are not in serious danger from COVID.

00:28:35.000 And right now, in the United States, if you're above the age of 12, you can get a vaccine.

00:28:39.000 Right now, in the United States, The FDA issued emergency use authorization for people who are 12 to 15 years old, as though there's some sort of public health emergency to justify 12 to 15 year olds getting COVID.

00:28:51.000 And the grand number of Americans under the age of 18 who have died of COVID is, I believe, lower than 1,000 out of hundreds of thousands of people who have been infected, millions of people who have been infected.

00:29:01.000 Okay, but they can't let go of it.

00:29:03.000 They're not gonna let go of it.

00:29:04.000 And that's the great irony here.

00:29:05.000 Joe Biden has made his bed.

00:29:06.000 Now he's gonna have to sleep in it because it turns out all these blue areas, the ones that he wants to reopen to prop up his failing economy, they're not going to.

00:29:15.000 He went too far.

00:29:16.000 He has trained them in the art of fear The entire media have spent the last year training you to be afraid.

00:29:23.000 And now that there's not... At the beginning, there was justification for being afraid.

00:29:26.000 Now that there is very little justification for being afraid, it's too late.

00:29:31.000 They're having trouble shifting.

00:29:33.000 The New York Times has a piece today titled, Hundreds of Epidemiologists Expected Mask-Wearing in Public for at Least a Year.

00:29:41.000 I wonder why they would have expected that.

00:29:42.000 Maybe it's because Anthony Fauci said, until next Mother's Day.

00:29:44.000 He said that, what, nine, ten days ago?

00:29:47.000 And now he's like, I gotta take off the mask.

00:29:50.000 These jokers.

00:29:51.000 When federal health officials said on Thursday that fully vaccinated Americans no longer needed to wear masks in most places, it came as a surprise to many people in public health.

00:29:58.000 It also was a stark contrast with the views of a large majority of epidemiologists surveyed in the last two weeks by the New York Times.

00:30:04.000 In the informal survey, 80% said they thought Americans would need to wear masks in public indoor places for at least another year.

00:30:10.000 Just 5% said people would no longer need to wear masks indoor by the summer.

00:30:14.000 Yes, because the epidemiologists are all part of a groupthink.

00:30:18.000 They had nothing to do.

00:30:19.000 That's a recommendation.

00:30:20.000 Okay, that recommendation was not based on the science.

00:30:24.000 And by the way, it is also true that many of the things they've been telling you for a long time are lies about where you are going to get COVID.

00:30:30.000 ABC News has this today.

00:30:32.000 Quote, bars, gyms, and restaurants.

00:30:35.000 Those were just a few settings health experts warned could become hotbeds of COVID-19 as states began reopening in the spring and summer of 2020.

00:30:40.000 Yet, public data analyzed by ABC News appears to tell a different story.

00:30:45.000 The data from states across the country suggests specific outbreak settings, including bars, gyms, restaurants, nail salons, barbershops, and stores, only accounted for a small percentage, if any, of the new outbreaks after the pandemic's initial wave in 2020.

00:30:59.000 While experts believe that mitigation measures like reduced capacity, gradual reopening, and mask wearing contributed to keeping outbreak numbers low, they say more could have been done to push those numbers down further and make testing and tracing more robust.

00:31:10.000 Based on ABC News' analysis of public data of all COVID cases in four states and D.C., those outbreak settings accounted for less than 5% of all COVID-19 cases in those states.

00:31:21.000 So in other words, all the places you were told you couldn't go, all the workplaces you were told you couldn't go, you couldn't go to the gym, you couldn't go to a bar, you couldn't go to a restaurant, you couldn't do any of those things.

00:31:28.000 That accounts for a tiny percentage of COVID transmission.

00:31:32.000 But some of us, Ron DeSantis was saying this in Florida for a year, and he was castigated for it.

00:31:38.000 They lied to you, they are continuing to lie to you for political purposes.

00:31:41.000 Why would you trust them ever?

00:31:42.000 Just look straight to the data.

00:31:44.000 And some of these states are not gonna reopen.

00:31:47.000 According to the New York Times, As federal health officials on Thursday cleared the way for Americans who are fully vaccinated against COVID to drop mask wearing in most situations, some states lifted mask mandates, while others took a more cautious approach.

00:31:59.000 On Thursday, the governors of Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Virginia, and the mayors of New York City and Washington, D.C.

00:32:05.000 said they were taking the new guidance from the CDC under advisement before adopting it.

00:32:09.000 Ah, they know better than the CDC now.

00:32:11.000 So when the CDC was hawkish on mask wearing, then they were all with the CDC.

00:32:14.000 When the CDC is like, oh yeah, by the way, here's the signs, they're like, nah, we're not gonna do it.

00:32:18.000 In deference to local authorities, the CDC said vaccinated people must continue to abide by existing state, local, or tribal laws and regulations and follow local rules for businesses and workplaces.

00:32:26.000 Governor Ron DeSantis, being the best governor in the country, already has issued an executive order preemptively pardoning people who don't abide by state and local mask mandates because they are no longer necessary.

00:32:39.000 Governor Andrew Cuomo had the temerity to say that the state had always relied on the facts and the science to guide us throughout the worst of the pandemic, and that he would review the new federal health guidelines with the state health department.

00:32:47.000 Mayor Bill de Blasio called the shift in guidance a monumental day, but said the city would be reviewing the new rules as masks will still be important for schools, public transportation, doctors' offices, and more.

00:32:59.000 All of this is a joke.

00:33:00.000 I'm sorry, this is a joke.

00:33:01.000 And you guys are all trained in being cheap.

00:33:04.000 That's all that's happened here.

00:33:05.000 All of these, and if you listen to these Bill de Blasios and Andrew Cuomo, who presided over the worst case of outbreak in the United States, if you listen to these people, as opposed to the actual science at this point, I don't know what to tell you. 0.96

00:33:18.000 You're being an ignoramus. 1.00

00:33:19.000 You're being a fool. 1.00

00:33:20.000 But the good news is that Anthony Fauci is there to defend your foolishness. 1.00

00:33:23.000 So Anthony Fauci says, you know, you have to stop giving side-eye to people who keep wearing masks. 0.94

00:33:27.000 This is hilarious. 0.80

00:33:28.000 So we've been treated to a year of, if I'm outdoors 1,000 feet from everybody, I've been treated to morons dressed in Grim Reaper costumes chastising me for not wearing a mask outdoors 1,000 feet from everybody on Florida beaches. 0.85

00:33:42.000 I've been treated, jogging, by people who are masked, while jogging, for no reason, staring at you, giving you the evil glance, even though the science didn't back what they were suggesting. 0.71

00:33:53.000 Okay, and now, there are a bunch of us who are like, okay, well, if you're vaccinated, there's no reason for you to be wearing a mask.

00:33:57.000 What are you doing?

00:33:58.000 And Fauci's like, we shouldn't shame people for continuing to wear a mask.

00:34:01.000 We shouldn't.

00:34:02.000 I mean, that would be intolerant.

00:34:03.000 Weird how the intolerance only runs one way.

00:34:06.000 How about this?

00:34:06.000 How about the intolerance runs unbe- We can tolerate whatever.

00:34:09.000 It's a free country.

00:34:10.000 But, put that aside, what should our attitude be toward people who are masking uselessly? 0.99

00:34:15.000 Honestly, an attitude of pity because these are people who have been treated to mental disturbance courtesy of the American federal government and morons like Anthony Fauci and Rochelle Walensky. 0.99

00:34:24.000 It's unbelievable. 0.86

00:34:26.000 I was wondering if you had anything to say to people who have been vaccinated and still want to wear masks in situations that the CDC says are low risk.

00:34:34.000 Is there anything wrong with that?

00:34:36.000 And should people be side-eyeing them?

00:34:39.000 No, not at all.

00:34:40.000 I mean, people have to make their own personal choice.

00:34:43.000 As we know, the risk is extremely low of getting infected if you're vaccinated, whether you're indoors or outdoors.

00:34:51.000 But there are those people who don't want to take that bit of a risk.

00:34:55.000 And there's nothing wrong with that, and they shouldn't be criticized.

00:34:58.000 Oh, they shouldn't be criticized.

00:34:59.000 It turns out you can criticize people for standing out in the middle of nowhere, not wearing a mask.

00:35:03.000 But you should definitely not criticize people for being fully vaccinated, standing in the middle of nowhere, wearing a mask.

00:35:10.000 Oh, the public health experts.

00:35:11.000 The science.

00:35:12.000 So much sciencing.

00:35:14.000 Okay, in a second, we'll explain why it is that the Biden administration decided to do this now.

00:35:17.000 And the answer, of course, has to do with the fact that this is the worst political week for Joe Biden since his inauguration.

00:35:22.000 We'll get to more of this in one second.

00:35:23.000 First, let's talk about the fact that when you are sitting in an office, you need a comfortable chair.

00:35:26.000 You don't think about it all that much, but then you get up.

00:35:29.000 And you feel it in your back, right?

00:35:30.000 You feel it.

00:35:31.000 It's just you feel yucky because you were sitting in a chair that wasn't that great.

00:36:40.000 Alrighty, in just a second, we'll get to the reason why the Biden administration has suddenly and radically shifted its Guidance with regard to masking.

00:36:48.000 First, it's that glorious time of the week when I give a shout-out to a DailyWire member.

00:36:51.000 Today, it's Andrew Lirardi on Twitter who understands the importance of proper front yard signage. 0.96

00:36:56.000 In the pic, two examples of the world's greatest beverage vessel flank the sides of a poster that reads, In this house, we believe that if you post semantically overloaded left-wing tautologies on your lawn to signal your unearned moral superiority, you are a douchebag.

00:37:08.000 Yes, this was my recommended sign, and I truly appreciate that somebody took me up on it.

00:37:13.000 Andrew writes, Hey Ben Shapiro, I might need you guys to start working on a larger Tumblr for all these tiers.

00:37:18.000 You're exactly right.

00:37:23.000 And with a sign like that, I do recommend a ring doorbell camera to catch all the action on your front yard.

00:37:27.000 Thanks for all the shout-out, and thanks for being a Daily Wire member.

00:37:30.000 Also, if you've been looking to brush up on your understanding of authoritarianism in order to fight the leftist power grab currently underway, I have a perfect book for you.

00:37:36.000 It's by me!

00:37:37.000 So this is self-serving, but it also happens to be true.

00:37:39.000 It's called The Authoritarian Moment.

00:37:40.000 Okay, this book is really important. 0.99

00:37:43.000 I wrote it to help Americans understand that the true threat to the country Is not a bunch of droogs and morons doing what they did on January 6th. 0.70

00:37:50.000 The true threat to the country is the authoritarian takeover of every major institution in America by a left that seeks to strip you of your individual rights and to quash dissent. 0.95

00:38:00.000 I explained how every one of these institutions was renormalized.

00:38:02.000 There's a full chapter on how scientific institutions were turned into weapons for the woke.

00:38:08.000 And the book is really designed on how to fight back because how these institutions became the way they are is really important to understand if you want to roll that back.

00:38:18.000 So if you want to preserve your individual rights and protect the ones you love from mob rule, go check out my book today.

00:38:22.000 The Authoritarian Moment is now available for pre-order at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or any other major bookseller.

00:38:55.000 Head on over to dailywire.com slash tickets to be part of an experience so beautiful, it would bring tears to a leftist's eyes.

00:39:00.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:39:03.000 Alrighty, so why exactly is the Biden administration reversing itself on whether you can unmask the The answer is because they have to distract from the crappiest news cycle that they have had really since Biden's inauguration.

00:39:17.000 So Biden has been treated to just sycophantic, drooling media coverage since his inauguration.

00:39:23.000 And then this week, inflation hit, the border crisis continues to marinate.

00:39:28.000 We've got war in the Middle East. 0.61

00:39:30.000 And all this is happening on the back of a horrible employment report.

00:39:34.000 So that's a really bad week for this administration.

00:39:36.000 So now it's time to inject some optimism by, you know, actually saying the true thing that we should have said three months ago.

00:39:42.000 So over at the border, migrant children apparently are still being stuck overnight on buses, according to NBC News.

00:39:48.000 In a vast parking lot outside the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center, minors who migrated to the U.S.

00:39:52.000 without their parents are waiting on buses to be sent to live with relatives or sponsors, staying overnight, eating and using all the bathroom, all within the confines of the bus, according to the owner of one of the bus companies and advocates for the children.

00:40:02.000 In at least one case described to NBC News, a family says their 15-year-old son waited on buses from Saturday to Wednesday before beginning the long journey from Dallas to Seattle.

00:40:13.000 I mean, so disaster area.

00:40:14.000 There's still thousands of kids who are being held in close quarters in the middle of apparently, you know, the COVID pandemic still applies to migrants.

00:40:23.000 The good news is that the DHS secretary apparently has short-term memory loss.

00:40:27.000 He says he doesn't remember saying that migrants should come.

00:40:31.000 He did.

00:40:31.000 He said, I'm not saying migrants shouldn't come.

00:40:33.000 I'm just saying they shouldn't come right now.

00:40:34.000 He was reminded of this.

00:40:36.000 And Alejandro Mayorkas was like, I don't remember saying that.

00:40:38.000 Me?

00:40:38.000 Who?

00:40:39.000 What?

00:40:41.000 You remember saying, don't you, that we're not telling you not to come.

00:40:44.000 Those are your words that you said in a press conference.

00:40:47.000 You said that, right?

00:40:48.000 I don't recall saying that.

00:40:49.000 I don't believe... You don't recall saying that?

00:40:52.000 That's correct, Senator.

00:40:53.000 I have never said... We'd be happy to refresh your memory for you and some questions for the record.

00:40:57.000 I'm sure that is interesting news and I'm sure everyone will... The Secretary's just said he doesn't have any memory of making those comments.

00:41:04.000 That's extraordinary.

00:41:05.000 Senator, I have never said that the border is open.

00:41:10.000 Okay, nobody said he said the border's open.

00:41:11.000 He just said, I'm not saying don't come.

00:41:13.000 I'm just saying don't come right now.

00:41:15.000 That's what Mayorkas said, but he doesn't remember it, so that's good.

00:41:17.000 Meanwhile, by the way, the Biden administration will resume construction of southern border wall levee.

00:41:22.000 According to Fox News, U.S.

00:41:23.000 Army Corps of Engineers will restart construction on a 13.4 mile stretch of levee in the Rio Grande Valley.

00:41:28.000 The decision reportedly follows pressure from local residents and politicians to mend the incessant crossing surge.

00:41:34.000 Priority repairs are set to begin in six weeks to prevent flooding, followed by the establishment of a concrete levee wall fit with safety barriers in six to nine months.

00:41:42.000 So yeah, they're shoring up the wall.

00:41:44.000 That's apparently a super bad wall.

00:41:45.000 Weird.

00:41:45.000 So they've sort of reversed themselves on that.

00:41:48.000 Meanwhile, inflation is here.

00:41:51.000 According to the New York Times, the central fact of the American economy in mid-2021 is that demand for all sorts of goods and services has surged, but supplies are coming back slowly, with the economy acting like a creaky machine that was turned off for a year and has some rusty parts.

00:42:03.000 Well, actually, the economy is acting like you would expect it to act when you pay people to stay home and when you tell them it is unsafe to go back to work.

00:42:09.000 The good news is that the Biden administration has no idea what to do with inflation.

00:42:13.000 I mean, no clue.

00:42:13.000 So Jen Psaki's like, you know, the inflation is just a sign that everything is going great.

00:42:18.000 Okay, then, crazy lady, let's go with that. 1.00

00:42:21.000 We've seen over the last couple of days, to your point, some reaction to the CPI numbers that came out just yesterday.

00:42:30.000 And, you know, our view on that is it reflects the reality of an economy that's rapidly turning back on because of a successful economic strategy.

00:42:39.000 And if you dig into the data, there are a couple of factors at play that I think people are taking a look at now that we've dug into the data more.

00:42:46.000 Okay, yeah, the factors at play are that everybody had more savings at the end of last year than they had at the beginning of last year because the government paid them, because they had to pay them to stay home.

00:42:54.000 And then, you just continue pumping money into their pockets, and then you said, you don't ever have to go back to work, basically, because we'll pay unemployment benefits all the way through September.

00:43:02.000 Meanwhile, Elizabeth Warren and the left wing of the Democratic Party, who really rule the roost, they're saying, yeah, I'm delighted that Biden is governing like a radical.

00:43:09.000 Are you surprised at how progressive the policies are that are being proposed by the president?

00:43:16.000 Oh, not surprised.

00:43:17.000 Delighted.

00:43:18.000 This is the good news.

00:43:19.000 You know, this is one of the best things.

00:43:21.000 I talk about this in the book.

00:43:23.000 Putting out plans means they're there for everybody.

00:43:27.000 And they're there for us to share and improve on and make better.

00:43:30.000 But this seems like big structural change.

00:43:33.000 And I'm sorry, nobody expected that from him.

00:43:35.000 Well, all I can say is he ran on the most progressive agenda in decades.

00:43:43.000 Okay, some of us pointed this out at the time, but we were being gaslit by the media that proclaimed that Joe Biden was a moderate.

00:43:48.000 Here's the problem.

00:43:49.000 All of this is starting to bear some really, really ugly fruit.

00:43:51.000 You've got the inflation.

00:43:52.000 You've got the unemployment numbers.

00:43:53.000 They're not great.

00:43:54.000 And then you had people waiting in gas lines.

00:43:56.000 By the way, it turns out that Colonial Pipeline just paid a $5 million ransom to the hackers who hacked the pipeline.

00:44:02.000 Which, of course, is going to incentivize more people to hack pipelines when you pay ransoms like this.

00:44:06.000 This is where the U.S. 0.74

00:44:07.000 government really should have stepped in and done something, but they didn't.

00:44:10.000 So, I mean, did the government assure Colonial Pipeline that it would back them if they paid the ransom?

00:44:15.000 How exactly did this work?

00:44:17.000 When Bloomberg News asked Joe Biden if he was briefed on the company's ransom payment, the president paused and then said, I have no comment on that.

00:44:23.000 Mm hmm.

00:44:24.000 OK, so all of this is going really well. 0.96

00:44:25.000 Plus, Joe Biden continues to be an utterly incoherent boob.

00:44:28.000 I mean, he just Joe Biden's war with the teleprompter continues.

00:44:31.000 Basically, it's now it's now rocky.

00:44:34.000 It's like Joe Biden.

00:44:36.000 I can't wait for Joe Biden versus the teleprompter part three when Mr. T comes in. 0.99

00:44:39.000 He's like, I pity the fool who can't read a teleprompter. 0.92

00:44:41.000 I expect any moment that the teleprompter is going to run up the stairs of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and throw its non-arms in the air. 0.98

00:44:48.000 Because like the continuing battle between Joe Biden and the teleprompter is one of the most fascinating battles in American public life.

00:44:54.000 I can't wait for Joe Biden versus the teleprompter part three when Mr. T comes in. 0.99

00:44:58.000 He's like, I pity the fool who can't read a teleprompter. 0.98

00:45:00.000 Anyway, here is here is Joe Biden battling the teleprompter. 0.99

00:45:05.000 The rule is very simple.

00:45:06.000 Oh.

00:45:07.000 Get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.

00:45:15.000 It's Vaxaid or mask.

00:45:19.000 Get vaccinated.

00:45:21.000 It's Vaxaid or mask.

00:45:23.000 Sounds like Mike Myers and so I married an axe murderer.

00:45:28.000 on love, Ed, on Vax, Ed.

00:45:32.000 What in the actual?

00:45:34.000 Okay, and then that was the first, Joe Biden versus the teleprompter.

00:45:39.000 In that one, they fought to a draw.

00:45:40.000 In Joe Biden versus the teleprompter too, the teleprompter comes with a clear knockout.

00:45:43.000 Now, here's what drives the driver in the states that are affected.

00:45:52.000 Here's what you can do, the drivers.

00:45:55.000 Don't panic, number one.

00:45:56.000 Oh my God.

00:46:02.000 It's like... I don't know.

00:46:03.000 Do you laugh or do you cry?

00:46:05.000 I mean, really.

00:46:07.000 Solid stuff there from the teleprompter.

00:46:09.000 Teleprompter comes with a clear victory right there.

00:46:10.000 That's a TKO in like round two by the teleprompter.

00:46:15.000 I need that again.

00:46:16.000 Was that in English?

00:46:17.000 Play it again.

00:46:20.000 Here's what drives the driver in the states that are affected.

00:46:27.000 Here's what you can do, the drivers.

00:46:29.000 Don't panic, number one.

00:46:31.000 Here's what drivers should do.

00:46:32.000 Here's what drives the drivers in the drive druby.

00:46:35.000 In the Ryan Gosling movie, Drive, drivers drive drubem.

00:46:42.000 Yeah, everything is going fantastically.

00:46:45.000 So, is it any wonder that the CDC reversed itself yesterday?

00:46:49.000 Again, one of the great themes during this pandemic has been trust the experts.

00:46:53.000 Trust the people who know. 1.00

00:46:56.000 If you do after this, I don't know what to tell you other than you are a fool. 1.00

00:46:59.000 The experts were wrong. 1.00

00:47:01.000 A lot.

00:47:01.000 The experts lied to you.

00:47:02.000 A lot.

00:47:04.000 You were told that if you bucked the experts because you actually looked at the science, this is because you had done something wrong.

00:47:10.000 Instead, you were just supposed to believe and follow, and now you're supposed to believe and follow this incoherent old man And his benightedly corrupt institution. 0.81

00:47:20.000 And if you don't, then you're a bad person. 1.00

00:47:25.000 It's ridiculous on its face. 1.00

00:47:26.000 It's ridiculous. 0.98

00:47:27.000 But again, here's the thing. 0.92

00:47:30.000 I think that the American public is going to buck against this.

00:47:31.000 I think Biden knows this too.

00:47:33.000 It's the reason why he is trying to reverse himself so fast.

00:47:35.000 They didn't reverse themselves by saying, we're gonna gradually withdraw these mandates.

00:47:39.000 We're gonna give states permission to do this.

00:47:40.000 Instead, they just came out and they said, if you're vaccinated, you don't need to wear a mask anymore.

00:47:44.000 This was an attempt to shift the narrative.

00:47:46.000 Some of the media decided to go along with it and cry like Allison Camerata.

00:47:50.000 And some of them are like, I can't even believe they're doing this.

00:47:52.000 I mean, do we feel safe out there?

00:47:54.000 Don't be conditioned to follow these people.

00:47:56.000 Instead, science, it's a process.

00:47:58.000 It's not an institution.

00:47:59.000 Keep remembering that.

00:48:01.000 Okay, meanwhile, over in Israel, the conflict continues.

00:48:06.000 Israel pulled one of the great maneuvers I've ever even heard of in military history last night.

00:48:11.000 This is pretty spectacular.

00:48:12.000 So here's what happened.

00:48:13.000 Last night, Israel announced that they were going to be invading Gaza.

00:48:18.000 There was going to be a ground invasion.

00:48:19.000 And this was not unexpected, considering that Gaza fires, as I've said many times, they've been firing thousands of rockets from populated areas.

00:48:26.000 They specifically do it from apartment complexes.

00:48:28.000 They do it from the top of apartment buildings.

00:48:30.000 They do it from between apartment buildings.

00:48:31.000 They do it from public streets.

00:48:32.000 They hide behind children.

00:48:34.000 They put their economic headquarters in hospitals.

00:48:36.000 They put their military headquarters in hospitals.

00:48:38.000 This is what they do.

00:48:39.000 They use RNWA-funded schools as bases for launching terrorist attacks in the same way that they just use the Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to launch a riot against Israeli police officers.

00:48:49.000 Okay, so this is what Hamas does. 0.86

00:48:51.000 It's what Palestinian Islamic Jihad does. 0.97

00:48:53.000 It is what the Palestinian Authority does. 0.68

00:48:56.000 And so one of the big problems for Israel is that every time it retaliates and tries to take out military targets, it ends up having to kill civilians.

00:49:03.000 Now that's because of Hamas. 0.90

00:49:04.000 If you hide behind a child while firing at somebody and they return fire and hit the child, that's not on the person returning fire.

00:49:10.000 That's on you.

00:49:10.000 You're the one who hid behind the child.

00:49:11.000 You're the one who put the child in danger.

00:49:14.000 Every civilian death in Gaza is on Hamas because none of this had to happen. 0.91

00:49:18.000 By the way, some 30% of rockets that Hamas has tried to fire into Israel fell short and fell into the Gaza Strip and killed people in Gaza, including children.

00:49:25.000 Hamas doesn't care because they're the worst people on earth. 0.93

00:49:27.000 I mean, truly, truly, the worst human beings on the planet are Hamas. 1.00

00:49:32.000 They're garbage. 1.00

00:49:32.000 So Israel was faced with this kind of difficult situation. 1.00

00:49:35.000 You have these rockets keeping your state underground for days at a time.

00:49:39.000 I mean, just remember, this started way earlier this week.

00:49:42.000 They're now in, what, day five of this?

00:49:44.000 And so Israel has to stop the rocket fire.

00:49:46.000 They'd prefer not to kill civilians because unlike Hamas, they actually don't want to kill civilians. 0.74

00:49:51.000 So what do they do?

00:49:53.000 So normally what they have to do is a ground invasion, right?

00:49:55.000 They try to go in and they try to separate the civilians from the military members of the terror groups by going essentially door-to-door, house-to-house.

00:50:03.000 They've been doing this for decades.

00:50:04.000 In Israel, this is called tahara haneshek, purity of arms.

00:50:08.000 Israel has higher standards for human rights with regard to how its military behaves than any other military on planet Earth, and it is not particularly close.

00:50:15.000 Israel is extremely careful about this sort of stuff.

00:50:18.000 It's why they've been dropping so-called knock bombs on top of buildings.

00:50:22.000 They know Hamas is in these buildings.

00:50:24.000 They drop a bomb on top of the building that doesn't penetrate, it just shakes the building, so everybody knows, get out, and then they bomb the building.

00:50:30.000 And this is how Hamas escapes, by the way. 0.83

00:50:33.000 Israel phones apartment complexes and tells them, get out, before they bomb the places, which is why Hamas leaders are able to escape. 0.91

00:50:39.000 So Israel takes the shot when it has the shot, and it doesn't take the shot sometimes, even when it does have the shot, if they're afraid that civilians are in the way.

00:50:45.000 So, they were set to send in ground forces, and everybody sort of expected this.

00:50:49.000 They'd called up 5,000 reservists.

00:50:50.000 They were getting ready to move.

00:50:52.000 And last night, the IDF put out a tweet saying that IDF air and ground troops are currently attacking the Gaza Strip.

00:50:58.000 And this was taken by the Hamas terrorists as news that the Israeli ground troops were about to go in on the ground and fight it out street to street and house to house.

00:51:07.000 Well, Hamas has a series of extensive terror tunnels.

00:51:12.000 These are tunnels that go from area to area and house to house.

00:51:15.000 They have tunnels that go under the border and into Israel.

00:51:18.000 They've tried to use them to attack Israeli civilians before.

00:51:21.000 So all the Hamas terrorists, or at least many of them, the first wave of Hamas terrorists, they went into the terror tunnels to hide from the Israelis.

00:51:28.000 Again, a common guerrilla tactic.

00:51:29.000 They went into these terror tunnels because then they're not there when the Israelis show up. 0.95

00:51:33.000 Where are they?

00:51:34.000 They're underground.

00:51:35.000 Okay, there's only one thing.

00:51:36.000 Israel knew this.

00:51:38.000 Israel faked the ground invasion. 0.63

00:51:40.000 They said, Israel, the IDF, released that statement, that air and ground troops are currently attacking in the Gaza Strip.

00:51:46.000 This caused the Hamas terrorists to go into the terror tunnels, and Israel then proceeded to bomb the terror tunnels from the air, which is just the greatest thing I've ever heard. 0.99

00:51:55.000 No one could deserve this more richly than terrorists who fire rockets at civilian populations.

00:51:59.000 According to the Jerusalem Post, at about 9 p.m.

00:52:01.000 on Thursday night, the IDF began assembling ground forces along the border with the Gaza Strip.

00:52:05.000 Some armored and infantry battalions joined the artillery batteries that had been deployed days earlier to pound Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets.

00:52:11.000 Earlier in the day, the IDF said that a ground offensive was on the table as a viable option for the continuation of Operation Guardians of the Wall.

00:52:18.000 The IDF was hitting hard at Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets from the air.

00:52:21.000 But on the ground, they would be expected to cause even more damage, albeit with greater risk to Israeli forces.

00:52:26.000 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made his contribution.

00:52:29.000 He said Thursday the campaign against Hamas was far from over and more Israeli action was coming.

00:52:33.000 At midnight, the IDF spokesperson's English department tweeted, the IDF air and ground troops are currently attacking in the Gaza Strip.

00:52:39.000 The foreign media jumped at the tweet, interpreting it to mean that Israel is sending ground forces into Gaza, a major escalation in the current operation.

00:52:45.000 Websites of media outlets around the world, including the Washington Post and ABC, reported the incursion.

00:52:50.000 Israeli troops have entered the Gaza Strip as conflict with Palestinian escalates Israeli military says, was the tweet put out by the Washington Post.

00:52:57.000 But there was no ground invasion.

00:52:59.000 Yes, the IDF had deployed troops along the border, but they didn't cross into Gaza.

00:53:02.000 What did happen was in the air, where 160 aircraft had assembled for a massive bombing run over the Gaza Strip.

00:53:08.000 Their target was what the IDF called Hamas's Metro, an underground network of tunnels where Hamas stored its weapons and used to move throughout Gaza, hidden from Israeli aircraft.

00:53:16.000 The Metro had been built in the years after 2014, also known in Israel as Operation Protective Edge.

00:53:21.000 It was a network of dozens of kilometers of tunnels that crisscrossed Gaza and provided safety from Israeli aerial incursions.

00:53:28.000 According to reports, due to the deployment along the border and the news coming out in the foreign media, Hamas and Islamic Jihad sent their first line of defense into the tunnels to start taking up positions.

00:53:36.000 These were the anti-tank missile teams and mortar squads meant to strike at incoming Israeli ground forces.

00:53:41.000 What they didn't know is there was no ground offensive.

00:53:43.000 Instead, once they were out of the tunnels, they were exposed to Israeli aircraft.

00:53:47.000 Within minutes, the metro attack went ahead.

00:53:50.000 How many Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists were killed in the operation?

00:53:52.000 That remains to be seen.

00:53:54.000 Apparently, the IDF is still evaluating the amount of damage they were able to do.

00:53:59.000 That is spectacular stuff.

00:54:00.000 That is spectacular stuff.

00:54:03.000 Okay, meanwhile, debate has broken out inside the Democratic Party over all of this.

00:54:07.000 You have the radical wing of the Democratic Party, this would be the Squad, people like Ilhan Omar, and people like Rashida Tlaib, and people like Ayanna Pressley, and Alexander Ocasio-Cortez, who are just mimicking anti-Semitic slogans at this point, saying Israel doesn't have the right to defend itself.

00:54:21.000 I mean, truly, this is what AOC said yesterday.

00:54:22.000 So Joe Biden, to his credit, really, not often that I think Joe Biden does something creditworthy, but yesterday, Joe Biden said, the Israeli reaction has not been an overreaction, which of course is obvious and true.

00:54:33.000 If you had hundreds of rockets flying over your city, you would also expect your government to protect you by killing the people who are firing the rockets.

00:54:38.000 Here is Joe Biden defending Israel.

00:54:41.000 One of the things that I have seen thus far is that there has not been a significant overreaction.

00:54:52.000 The question is how I'm good for Biden.

00:54:57.000 get to a point where they get to a point where there is a significant reduction in the attacks, particularly the rocket attacks that are indiscriminately fired into population centers.

00:55:13.000 I'm good for Biden. Now, how long can Biden hold out against his left flank? Who knows?

00:55:18.000 Probably not all that long, considering his previous history of caving to everything the radical left wants.

00:55:23.000 Yesterday, Alexander Ocasio-Cortez got angry at Joe Biden for saying that Israel has a right to defend itself, which is the baseline level of reality.

00:55:31.000 Of course, Israel as a sovereign state cannot allow its citizens to be put underground for weeks at a time by Islamic terrorists firing rockets into the area.

00:55:39.000 She tweeted out blanket statements like these with little context or acknowledgement of what precipitated this cycle of violence, namely the expulsions of Palestinians and attacks on al-Aqsa, dehumanized Palestinians, and implied the U.S.

00:55:48.000 will look the other way at human rights violations.

00:55:50.000 It's wrong.

00:55:52.000 First of all, there are so many lies in this, it's difficult to know where to start.

00:55:54.000 This didn't start with the expulsion of Palestinians.

00:55:56.000 There was a 50-year ongoing legal case that was adjudicated and was not effectuated by the Israeli Supreme Court.

00:56:02.000 There were no attacks on al-Aqsa, except by the people who decided to use al-Aqsa as a staging point for riots.

00:56:07.000 There were no expulsions.

00:56:08.000 Six Palestinian families, according to David Harsanyi at National Review, might be evicted from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah in a property dispute.

00:56:15.000 Again, that's six Palestinian families.

00:56:17.000 Sheikh Jarrah is thousands of people.

00:56:21.000 It's insanity. 0.99

00:56:22.000 It's ridiculous. 0.98

00:56:23.000 20% of the population of Israel is Arab. 0.92

00:56:27.000 The Al-Aqsa Mosque wasn't attacked, but it was other members of the squad as well.

00:56:30.000 Ilhan Omar suggested that Israeli airstrikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism.

00:56:36.000 Except for the fact that Israel's been attempting to minimize the amount of death, while Hamas has been attempting to maximize the amount of death. 0.71

00:56:41.000 I mean, and Rashida Tlaib, of course, she tweeted out yesterday that Nakba never ended.

00:56:48.000 Nakba is the term used by Arabs to describe the establishment of the State of Israel.

00:56:53.000 That was a disaster.

00:56:54.000 Nakba means disaster.

00:56:55.000 Okay, not the Israeli takeover of the West Bank and Gaza Strip in 1967.

00:57:00.000 No, the real disaster is that the Jewish state even exists, according to Rashida Tlaib.

00:57:04.000 She makes this perfectly clear, by the way.

00:57:05.000 She says, from Jaffa in 1948 to Sheikh Jarrah, Jerusalem today, we must recognize the forced displacement and violent dispossession faced by Palestinians for over 70 years.

00:57:13.000 By the way, Jaffa in 1948 would be the establishment of the state of Israel.

00:57:18.000 She believes that Israel should be just destroyed.

00:57:20.000 There's a part of the Democratic Party that is so radical it's attacking Joe Biden for the baseline statement that Israel can defend itself against rocket attack.

00:57:26.000 The question is how long will the Democratic Party hold up against its own radicals?

00:57:30.000 The answer probably is not very long.

00:57:31.000 But don't worry, the media are covering Liz Cheney versus Kevin McCarthy or something.

00:57:35.000 Meanwhile, Ron DeSantis in Florida, he came out very clearly.

00:57:37.000 He said Israel has a right to defend itself.

00:57:38.000 Hamas is a terrorist organization, which is clearly true. 0.97

00:57:42.000 I have friends over there who've been having to hide out in bomb shelters overnight because of Hamas, which is a terrorist group, raining down rockets on civilians. 0.98

00:57:53.000 And make no mistake, Hamas is a terrorist group.

00:57:57.000 They are at fault on this.

00:57:59.000 Israel has every right to defend itself against Hamas.

00:58:03.000 And I think if you look at what's going on here, it really isn't so much about Israel, it's about Hamas trying to stake a claim to be the leader of the entire Palestinian Authority.

00:58:13.000 They kind of have their little place down in Gaza where they foment a lot of terrorism. 0.91

00:58:19.000 Absolutely correct here from Ron DeSantis.

00:58:21.000 Meanwhile, here's the unspoken story here, of course, is that the Biden administration, they're saying the right things now with regard to Israel's right to defend itself.

00:58:28.000 Meanwhile, they've been fostering this, okay?

00:58:30.000 They've been fostering this by making overtures to Iran.

00:58:32.000 Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which is one of the groups firing the rockets, they came out, like, over the last couple of days, and they're openly saying, we got these rockets from Iran, which they did, right? 0.91

00:58:41.000 Israel didn't realize that Hamas had the ability to fire rockets that could reach all the way to Hadera, which is like central Israel, like northern central Israel.

00:58:48.000 They got this technology from Iran.

00:58:50.000 Meanwhile, the United States is attempting to foment some sort of deal with the Iranian terrorist government.

00:58:55.000 Here is members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad saying this openly.

00:59:01.000 He says the Mujahideen in Gaza and Lebanon use Iranian weapons to strike the Zionists.

00:59:08.000 We buy our weapons with Iranian money. 0.52

00:59:11.000 An important part of our activity is under the supervision of Iranian experts.

00:59:17.000 The contours of the victories in Palestine as of late were outlined with the blood of Qasem Soleimani.

00:59:23.000 Iranian blood. 0.92

00:59:23.000 You remember that was the commander of Iran's terror axis who was killed by the Trump administration. 0.92

00:59:28.000 Okay, so Iran is behind all of this. 0.95

00:59:30.000 It's the reason why people are also keeping an eye on the northern border of Israel.

00:59:34.000 Hezbollah is an Iranian-funded terror group.

00:59:36.000 Hezbollah so far has stayed out because Hezbollah understands that because they are a greater threat to Israel, if they start firing rockets at Israel, Israel will just eviscerate them.

00:59:44.000 It won't be like the Gaza Strip. 0.86

00:59:45.000 Israel has been engaging in pinpoint attacks in the Gaza Strip specifically to avoid civilian casualties.

00:59:51.000 Because Hamas can kill Israelis, but they don't provide an existential threat to Israel.

00:59:55.000 Hezbollah has 150,000 rockets pointed at Israel. 0.68

00:59:59.000 If they start firing those off, Israel will just go off.

01:00:03.000 And Hezbollah knows this, which is why they've stayed out of the fight so far.

01:00:05.000 Instead, they've been attempting these sort of proxy battles.

01:00:08.000 So apparently there are mobs of people attempting to storm the northern border right now of Israel.

01:00:12.000 There are mobs from Jordan attempting to come into the West Bank.

01:00:15.000 All of that will be stopped.

01:00:17.000 But, again, the notion that this administration continues to try and foster some sort of cooperation with Iran, while Iran is constantly fostering terror around the region, demonstrates how wrongheaded their policy is.
