00:00:18.700 this program I guarantee you it's a message you're probably not hearing about in the mainstream media

00:00:23.660 so today today's show consists of auto theft it's on the rise 34 percent it's up since 2015 in

00:00:30.100 Toronto alone up 300 percent that is absolutely incredible to talk about this and much much more

00:00:37.720 we have Jaz Raj Halan the member of parliament for Calgary Forest Lawn also the member of parliament

00:00:42.780 or sorry the critic for finance thanks very much for joining us hey Jimmy thanks for having me on

00:00:46.900 here again always a pleasure it's great to have you back and you're always a fan favorite you're mine

00:00:52.740 anyway you're my favorite thanks all right auto theft it's up a whopping 34 percent right across

00:00:58.300 Canada since 2015 incredible numbers especially when you look at Toronto 300 percent it's up since

00:01:05.460 2015 just incredible it's crazy to to think that this happened since 2015 I mean the the liberal

00:01:13.680 government put out a scathing report on the liberal government recently when they said since 2015

00:01:19.900 the thefts are up 300 in Toronto alone this is a scathing report by themselves on this prime minister

00:01:29.000 and we all know that in 2015 Justin Trudeau became prime minister and why did these auto thefts go up

00:01:36.880 and crime in general violent crime it's because of their soft on crime you know bail policies that

00:01:43.920 they've implemented like bill c75 and bill c5 that lets repeat offenders keep offending and so with

00:01:50.780 that you know what I've seen is Canada's for for criminals these criminals have never been freer

00:01:57.440 or richer as they've been since Justin Trudeau took over it it seems that a crime will be committed

00:02:04.520 officers will respond they'll in some cases when they arrest the the individual they believe is is

00:02:11.220 guilty of that crime by the time the paperwork's dry or not even dry the the criminals are back on

00:02:17.000 the street to recommit again we've seen the the figures in Vancouver where a very small amount

00:02:21.820 of repeat offenders were responsible for the vast majority of crime it is it is this revolving door

00:02:28.880 that seems to be the problem and the liberals inability to actually deal with it you know it wasn't just

00:02:33.900 the inability it's actually bills that those two bills that they put forward that's letting this happen

00:02:38.980 over and over again it's basically given a free get out of jail card to these repeat offenders

00:02:44.760 because of those two bills they've they've reduced the mandatory they've gotten rid of mandatory minimums

00:02:49.880 that are much needed you know if we compare the the previous common sense conservative government

00:02:55.120 compared to now violent crime is actually down and it seems like the liberals are mad that we did it

00:03:01.400 for less cost than they did it for and crime actually went down whereas under them they're spending

00:03:07.580 more money but crime just keeps going up because it pays to do crime these days under Justin Trudeau

00:03:12.820 and it's not just car thefts Jamie if you look at the the money laundering that's happening in Canada

00:03:18.280 we've become a safe haven because of these relaxed policies and people are in under this uh car theft is

00:03:24.500 just one part of that money laundering that's happening right now literally there's families who you

00:03:28.920 moved here like my family we came here for the Canadian dream people living here look for that Canadian dream

00:03:34.240 that once this country stood on but now a part of that Canadian dream used to be a safe environment

00:03:41.760 for you and your family that's one part of the Canadian dream and after eight years of Justin Trudeau

00:03:46.680 with the support of Jagmeet Singh and the NDP that dream has turned into a nightmare where literally

00:03:52.060 people are afraid to walk down the street you can't park your car anywhere without thinking

00:03:56.540 it might get stolen just because of this these repeat offenders that that literally like you said

00:04:02.400 they get jailed in the morning they're out by the afternoon and you know I'm hearing from some

00:04:06.720 lawyers these like it's become a joke now where some of the criminals say I need a warm place to sleep

00:04:12.120 tonight and a warm meal just leave me in jail if you can just for another day or so so don't don't

00:04:17.480 don't bail me out like it's just become a joke I'll go I'll get out in the morning and that's Justin

00:04:22.440 Trudeau's Canada after eight years. I was just in Vancouver last week for the announcement of the

00:04:27.420 First Nations Resource Charge with our leader and when I checked into the hotel there was a big sign

00:04:32.680 right when you when you check in I didn't have a car but it basically well I should have took a

00:04:37.000 picture because it was absolutely incredible the first time I've seen something like this where

00:04:39.760 basically said in the hotel's lot please remove all valuables either altogether or out of sight

00:04:46.700 because the rate of car thefts has has just been astronomical out of that hotel's own parking lot

00:04:53.340 and this is in a a decent area of Vancouver it was it was in the downtown and and if if the hotels

00:05:01.880 themselves are having trouble policing their own lots I can just imagine what everyday Canadians are

00:05:06.460 dealing with. Absolutely look there's a hotel in Brampton that's offering anyone who stays there

00:05:12.340 one of those uh you know those things that lock your yeah the the bars that you lock your your steering

00:05:18.020 wheel with yes they literally offer it to them if you're parking your car there because that's how bad

00:05:22.560 crime has gotten after eight years of this liberal NDP government no one is taking this prime minister

00:05:28.060 seriously and no one is taking the our our jail system seriously because Justin Trudeau has broken

00:05:35.100 our bail system under a common sense conservative government we've we have a clear plan to help fix some

00:05:41.080 of these problems that are there like for instance we want to help stop the export of these cars because

00:05:47.100 we know the port of Montreal has turned into a parking lot now of stolen vehicles less than

00:05:52.440 one percent of vehicles actually get scanned so for us to be able to improve that what we need to do

00:05:57.220 is we need to get more scanners there that's one part of our common sense conservative plan

00:06:01.980 we're going to hire 75 more CBSA officers so that not just for the export of our vehicles and other things

00:06:08.740 but also to scan for import of drugs and of of handguns and other guns that are illegal the the the guns that

00:06:16.760 are actually being used to commit most of these crimes not for our law abiding you know permitted

00:06:22.280 and fully vetted law gun owners they this this approach that Justin Trudeau has taken is completely woke

00:06:30.280 and it's turned Canada into a joke and Canadians are going broke because of all of this stuff because

00:06:35.020 all this crime keeps going up people's stuff keeps getting stolen also for repeat offenders we need to

00:06:41.120 make sure that they stay in jail not bail so as our leader always says jail not bail jail not bail and

00:06:48.600 what does that mean that we need to make sure that repeat offenders so if you commit three crimes you

00:06:53.300 should get a minimum minimum of three years for auto theft when it comes to extortion especially with a

00:06:58.900 gun can you believe Jamie that you know GTA used to be a grand theft auto used to be a game people used

00:07:05.200 to play people still play this game a video game but Canada's reality today after eight years of

00:07:10.840 Justin Trudeau is get grand theft auto now and the these people who are committing these crimes will

00:07:16.300 literally get house arrest for a crime with a gun which means they commit these GTA like crimes

00:07:22.960 grand theft auto like crimes just to sit in their house in the comfort of their home and to watch

00:07:27.680 Netflix and play GTA just to step out the door and commit another crime that's eight years of Justin

00:07:33.320 Justin Trudeau we need to put a stop to that we do have a common sense conservative plan for the

00:07:37.120 extortion that's happening the auto theft crime and we will be cracking down on bail reform finally

00:07:44.320 something that municipalities and law enforcements across this country keep asking for but it's again this

00:07:50.980 soft on crime these these bail policies that are failures by the soberan dp government that we have to

00:07:57.000 reverse when we're in there well and one thing I'll I'll I'll get a remarkably adequate producer again

00:08:03.080 super producer Nick is not here today to cue up cut one we're gonna run this clip it's about 90 seconds

00:08:08.000 hanging with us but um the the also point was brought up recently the fact that auto theft is up

00:08:13.820 34 across Canada and 300 in the GTA that means there's 300 more 300 more victims in the GTA

00:08:21.540 and 34 percent more victims across Canada absolutely remarkable it's remarkable but but on top of that

00:08:27.040 we have to remember sometimes it's not just one victim it's families that get terrorized it's

00:08:31.360 communities that get terrorized there's a lot more that goes behind that sometimes numbers don't

00:08:35.780 cover okay let's play cut one crime is way up violent crime is up 40 percent under this prime minister

00:08:43.420 and today he held he had his ministers hold a big press conference as their solution and in it they put

00:08:49.740 out a press release that said and I quote in 2022 approximately 9600 vehicles were stolen in the Toronto

00:08:55.040 area alone representing a 300 percent increase since 2015 end quote what happened

00:09:03.200 I know he happened Mr. Speaker how can we make him unhappen and stop the crime

00:09:12.100 the right honorable prime minister in 2015 Stephen Harper presented a budget that had slashed funds for

00:09:26.120 policing slashed funds uh for CBSA officers a slash funding for veterans affairs services and we were

00:09:34.180 there to clean up the mess to cut taxes for the wealthiest one percent lower them for the middle class 1.00

00:09:40.020 to support families to start moving forward on gun control in real ways while the conservatives cozy up

00:09:47.340 to the American gun lobbies we've continued to step up and keep it Canadian safe let him bring assault weapons

00:09:54.180 back to our streets we'll keep Canadians safe

00:09:56.800 the honorable leader of the opposition wow is he ever losing control of himself

00:10:08.760 oh my goodness screaming and hollering like that Mr. Speaker it's his press release that says that in

00:10:18.240 Toronto auto thefts are up 300 percent since he took office clean up the mess says Justin

00:10:28.140 Durdeau he's doing a fine job of that auto thefts up crimes up he also talked about assault weapons

00:10:33.660 being on this room what is he talking about he'll distract they haven't been legal for legal for

00:10:37.660 decades like what is he talking about and even he can't even describe what an assault weapon is we

00:10:42.360 don't want to get into that but what is he talking about he's absolutely distracting and dividing

00:10:47.040 like he always does to take away from his failed record economic the economic record on the crime

00:10:53.580 that's gone up across this country housing costs have doubled mortgages rents have doubled you see

00:10:58.740 the price of groceries and him quadrupling the carbon tax he wants to distract people away from that

00:11:03.600 and put this fear into Canadians again I think he's mad because the conservatives spent less and

00:11:10.260 actually brought down crime and can you believe that when when when Stephen Harper took over in 2006

00:11:16.600 there was actually around 12,000 CBSA officers and at the end of Prime Minister Stephen Harper's term

00:11:22.420 there was around 14,000 they actually increased and we did it for less money and on top of that

00:11:28.120 violent crime was down auto thefts were down Justin Trudeau I think he's just mad that they spent so

00:11:33.580 much money but nothing happened just like every other department yeah every other that's why

00:11:38.300 everything feels like it's broken in Canada absolutely I want to get to cut two here so we'll 1.00

00:11:42.300 ask Dan to queue up cut two because it actually gets into my next point so let's play cut two

00:11:48.040 and and we'll we'll have a quick discussion these car thieves have no gratitude here the justice

00:11:57.700 minister is letting them out of jail for stealing cars you'd think that they would show him some

00:12:04.400 courtesy in exchange but instead they keep stealing his car it's unbelievable I would have thought that

00:12:11.120 they would have been grateful to this justice minister for him letting them out of prison within hours of their

00:12:17.760 arrest but no they are stealing his car too and that is life after just eight years of Justin Trudeau

00:12:24.760 everybody is at risk now we didn't have these stories before Trudeau he has caused an explosion in car

00:12:32.340 theft and good news is that life wasn't like this before Trudeau and it won't be like this after he's

00:12:38.260 gone under the previous common sense conservative government we cut car theft by half I think that's a

00:12:44.120 great message but the overall point is so the justice minister of Canada had his car stolen I

00:12:49.580 believe that what the article had three times so there doesn't seem to be that much urgency because

00:12:56.620 in the government schema thing well the government just has insurance and they replace the car or they

00:13:00.920 buy a new car outright maybe they don't go through insurance doesn't matter but at the same time if

00:13:04.980 you're in the GTA you have your car stolen once twice maybe in three times the insurance company

00:13:10.340 gets rid of you right the first time they might let you go probably with a warning second time

00:13:15.780 they probably might even cut you off and say that's it no more or your insurance skyrockets right so

00:13:21.480 again it doesn't affect the governing class so that the the liberals do not have to to actually live

00:13:27.780 with the results of their horrible policy just the rest of the people absolutely look the irony behind

00:13:34.940 this whole thing is incredible and you're saying that they're not acting with urgency while they're

00:13:40.760 holding this summit it doesn't that show some type of urgency they're convening again always with the

00:13:45.380 convening and maybe a harshly worded letter to the criminals might come out of that so a stern letter

00:13:50.300 but again it's the irony behind this whole thing and and by the way the the justice minister recently

00:13:56.900 was had to apologize for swearing at our leader in question period just because once again I think they're

00:14:02.800 really mad that we spent less and got better results than they did but again when we look at

00:14:08.120 some of these clips that are coming out these families these businesses are being terrorized

00:14:13.820 there's businesses in my riding who have to hire more cost to hire security guards at their at whatever

00:14:20.980 businesses that they have the amount of crime that's increased under Justin Trudeau because there's

00:14:25.560 no consequences that's right there's no more consequences he's taking those away just like Justin Trudeau

00:14:30.540 said thought that there would be no consequences with all the spending he did it's Canadians that 1.00

00:14:36.020 always have are suffering and are the consequence to his failures whether it's on the economy or it's

00:14:42.880 on crime he's completely failed Canadians and put the put us in this state this this state of fear all the

00:14:49.780 time that we see Canadians families that I hear about all the time I'm sure you do too yep about just the fear

00:14:56.260 in people and even here in Ottawa where we are today it's up 100% the auto theft crime you know

00:15:03.320 that's it's incredible that even in our capital it's up that much but again it's because of the

00:15:08.460 policies the failure by the civil NDP government and their woke policies that have have have let

00:15:14.360 criminals off over and over again yeah it's absolutely a shame especially when regular people

00:15:19.420 are suffering the consequences life is already hard enough to get by as it is next thing you know

00:15:23.800 your insurance company cuts you off or says we're going to double your rates because your car keeps 0.89

00:15:27.900 getting stolen well that's no fault of the the individual it's the government with their ridiculous

00:15:32.580 policies and their their absolute disdain for the people to actually fix it and and again they convene

00:15:39.480 and they convene but as the saying goes it's it's never the government that starves just the people

00:15:44.640 right and and again to your point taxes are up auto thefts are up which means your auto insurance is up

00:15:51.500 everything is up all in the wrong categories and there's only one person that's responsible for

00:15:57.520 all of that that's Justin Trudeau his complete failure to Canadians to govern to lead this country

00:16:03.780 down a proper path has left Canadians with with the worst consequences that and the worst outcomes

00:16:10.220 Canadians could have ever thought that ever in the history of this country he spent so much to deliver

00:16:16.920 so little and he's he's put turned this country into a nightmare you know I talk about the Canadian 1.00

00:16:22.820 dream a lot because my family came here for that like many others and now because of this nightmare

00:16:28.260 people are living in high cost of living high car thefts high violent crime people are turning around

00:16:34.300 and leaving Canada they're finding a new home that's outside of Canada after eight years of Justin Trudeau

00:16:39.380 it's interesting you said that we're running pretty much at limit on time but it's interesting you said that

00:16:44.160 about the violent crime I just saw just a headline as I was coming into to the studio to record this

00:16:49.720 program it was from the Toronto Star if you can believe it basically uh the headline was about

00:16:54.660 home invasions on the rise and how to protect yourselves when in Canada did you expect that to

00:16:59.500 happen as you know the guests always have the last word jazz the floor is yours Jamie thank you as

00:17:03.600 always you're an absolute rock star with everything that you're doing I'm honored to be on here again

00:17:07.900 look a common sense conservative government under Prime Minister Pierre Polyev will do four things

00:17:14.640 to help Canadians whether it's a cost of living or this rise in crime that we see we're gonna axe

00:17:20.880 attacks we're gonna build the homes we're gonna fix the budget and we're gonna stop the crime that's

00:17:26.540 what our common sense plan is and we're gonna bring it home.
