00:00:00.000 China's killing our canola.
00:00:02.440 $45 billion gone.
00:00:05.560 Western farmers bleed.
00:00:08.060 Mark Carney?
00:00:10.040 Silent.
00:00:11.340 Made millions off Beijing's dime.
00:00:14.400 He won't fight.
00:00:15.920 He's Beijing's banker, not our prime minister.
00:00:19.240 Hi, I'm Candace Malcolm, and this is The Candace Malcolm Show.
00:00:31.380 We have a great episode for you today, folks, filled with hope.
00:00:35.020 This is how an election should be.
00:00:37.200 Change is on the way.
00:00:38.540 Hope is on the way.
00:00:39.620 This is what change looks like.
00:00:41.620 So Conservative leader Pierre Polyev was in Edmonton last night.
00:00:45.180 And wow, did Edmontonians ever show up for Pierre Polyev.
00:00:50.140 I'm talking about 15,000 people.
00:00:53.780 Yes, 15,000 people at a Canadian election rally in Edmonton, Alberta.
00:00:59.540 Now, I know Alberta is the home to the Conservative movement.
00:01:03.480 It is the base where the supporters live.
00:01:05.980 But Edmonton, folks, Edmonton is a government town.
00:01:08.680 I lived there for four years during university.
00:01:10.420 And yes, some of Edmonton votes, NDP and Liberal, with consistency.
00:01:16.380 When Rachel Notley got elected provincially, it was Edmonton that really brought it home for her.
00:01:21.240 So seeing the Conservatives shine in Edmonton like this, seeing 15,000 of you line up round and round the block,
00:01:29.680 look at this line, look at the people wanting to go in and see Pierre Polyev, an absolute rock star.
00:01:35.420 And this is a welcome that he should be receiving.
00:01:37.600 It's not just in Alberta.
00:01:38.460 Of course, we have been reporting throughout the election campaign, whether he's in British Columbia
00:01:42.500 or in parts of Ontario, rural Ontario, suburban Ontario, even out east,
00:01:47.560 Pierre Polyev gets this rock star welcome because Canadians want change.
00:01:51.240 OK, we are sick and tired of Liberal rule.
00:01:54.240 We're sick and tired of what the Liberal government under Justin Trudeau and now under Mark Kearney,
00:01:58.420 what they have done to our country.
00:01:59.860 They have destroyed our country, but we're not giving up.
00:02:02.380 We're not we're not done yet.
00:02:03.900 And we will fight for our country.
00:02:05.880 This is what that looks like.
00:02:06.780 So optimistic, I'm just so excited.
00:02:09.300 I think the polls are wrong.
00:02:10.680 I think that the momentum is clearly there for Pierre Polyev is just getting stronger and stronger.
00:02:15.780 Canadians are coming out to show it.
00:02:17.420 And guess what?
00:02:18.080 The people who vote Conservative are the most reliable voters.
00:02:21.080 These are people who, you know, on Election Day, it doesn't matter, rain or shine,
00:02:24.780 whether there is a blizzard or a rainstorm or whatever else is happening.
00:02:28.220 These people will show up and vote.
00:02:29.700 The Conservative vote is so reliable.
00:02:31.900 And so, yes, some polls are still showing that the Liberals are in the lead.
00:02:35.800 I don't really believe it.
00:02:36.660 I think the momentum is behind Pierre Polyev.
00:02:39.120 And this rally really shows it.
00:02:41.600 So here he is.
00:02:42.700 This is Kian Bexty reporting.
00:02:44.080 He was at the rally.
00:02:45.160 And he says,
00:02:45.500 The cell connectivity has gone down at the Pierre Polyev rally in Edmonton after 15,000 reportedly shown up.
00:02:51.300 So many people were trying to get on their phones at the same time.
00:02:53.300 Apparently, the service was shut down.
00:02:55.780 Now, how did the event itself go?
00:02:57.800 Well, former Prime Minister Stephen Harper was there to give the introduction for Pierre Polyev.
00:03:04.240 Great to see this moment.
00:03:06.080 Wonderful moment from the former Prime Minister endorsing Pierre Polyev, saying,
00:03:10.860 Hey, both the candidates in this election used to work for me.
00:03:14.080 Mark Carney was the governor of the Bank of Canada under Stephen Harper.
00:03:17.340 And Pierre Polyev was a junior minister and a young MP back in those days of the Harper government.
00:03:22.000 Well, here is Harper telling you his choice for Prime Minister.
00:03:26.620 You know, friends, I am in a unique position in this federal election.
00:03:33.160 I am the only person who can say that both of the men running to be Prime Minister once worked for me.
00:03:45.860 And in that regard, my choice, without hesitation, without equivocation, without a shadow of a doubt, is Pierre Polyev.
00:03:57.420 Thank you very much.
00:04:27.420 He showed up, not for a concert, not for a protest, but for a political rally.
00:04:31.860 For one reason, to hear Pierre Polyev speak.
00:04:35.260 But the real shock was the man who introduced him.
00:04:37.520 So he's talking about Stephen Harper, the most successful Conservative Prime Minister in a generation.
00:04:41.620 He took the stage to deliver a blistering endorsement of Polyev and a scathing indictment of the Liberal regime.
00:04:48.080 He didn't mince words.
00:04:49.160 Harper said what every Canadian knows to be true.
00:04:51.640 But no one in the press gallery will admit this country needs change desperately.
00:04:57.420 He didn't hedge.
00:04:58.600 He didn't qualify.
00:04:59.740 He didn't say both parties have made mistakes.
00:05:02.160 No, Harper made it clear.
00:05:03.760 The crisis, soaring costs, collapsing standards, vanishing jobs, growing division.
00:05:08.060 It wasn't created by Donald Trump.
00:05:10.360 It was made right here in Ottawa by three terms of Liberal government and the Prime Minister who wants a fourth.
00:05:17.300 And so here is what Stephen Harper had to say.
00:05:20.920 This is extraordinary.
00:05:22.260 These were not created by Donald Trump.
00:05:26.320 They were...
00:05:27.300 They were created by the policies of three Liberal terms.
00:05:39.420 Policies that the present Prime Minister supported and wants a fourth Liberal term to continue.
00:05:47.480 And then I'm going to go back to Dan.
00:05:48.980 This is what he said.
00:05:49.920 That's as blunt as Harper gets.
00:05:51.660 And it should be a headline on every newspaper in the country.
00:05:54.400 But it won't be because it hits too close to home for the elite class that spent nearly a decade covering for Trudeau's failures.
00:06:01.940 Harper pointed out that the Liberals and their media allies are now trying to blame everything on geopolitics.
00:06:08.040 Blame Trump.
00:06:08.980 Blame supply chains.
00:06:10.120 Blame COVID.
00:06:10.820 Blame war.
00:06:11.420 Blame anything but themselves.
00:06:13.300 Because the truth, they can't run on their own record.
00:06:15.940 So they're running from it.
00:06:17.340 And what is their record?
00:06:18.260 Exploding debt.
00:06:19.100 Collapsing GDP per capita.
00:06:20.400 A federal bureaucracy that punishes work and rewards compliance.
00:06:23.740 A housing market that's locked out an entire generation.
00:06:26.920 And an energy sector that's been handed over to the Americans while Canadians sit unemployed on world-class resources.
00:06:33.860 Dan Knight is absolutely right.
00:06:35.680 And this is why we are so fired up for Pierre Polyev.
00:06:39.560 And I want to highlight one thing that Pierre Polyev mentioned.
00:06:42.580 Because this happened yesterday after we recorded our show.
00:06:45.080 And I really want to get to it.
00:06:46.180 But Pierre Polyev pointing out the elephant in the room, folks.
00:06:50.560 The elephant in the room that the mainstream media refuses to cover properly.
00:06:54.780 And that is that China is interfering in our election as we speak.
00:06:59.060 And they are promoting their golden boy.
00:07:01.720 China's rock star.
00:07:02.860 Which is Mark Carney.
00:07:04.520 Here's Pierre Polyev making the point that it really is, at this point, Canada against China.
00:07:09.740 Today, again, the Chinese government was out campaigning for the liberals, supporting Mark Carney.
00:07:19.900 Just like they did during the leadership race of that party.
00:07:23.760 And who would wonder why?
00:07:25.500 Mr. Carney, while he was economic advisor to Justin Trudeau, actually went to China to get his company a quarter-billion dollar loan.
00:07:33.200 A loan that his company still owes and a company in which he continues to be invested.
00:07:39.740 Absolutely unbelievable.
00:07:41.960 Pierre Polyev pointing out the facts.
00:07:43.660 And I want to cover this story.
00:07:45.060 Because as much fun as it is to cover the positive stuff about Pierre Polyev doing an amazing job out on the campaign trail.
00:07:51.660 The reality is that someone is trying to put their thumb on the scale of this campaign.
00:07:56.040 Not happening in our country.
00:07:57.080 Not here in Canada.
00:07:57.920 But in China.
00:07:59.020 And we now have proof of this.
00:08:00.540 So here is reporting from Juno News.
00:08:02.760 The CCP election interference campaign is boosting Mark Carney as their rock star candidate.
00:08:09.220 So here, let me just read a little bit from Juno News.
00:08:11.320 The task force dedicated to securing Canada's elections from foreign interference announced it has detected a coordinated campaign by a Chinese Communist Party-backed news channel to promote coverage of liberal leader Mark Carney.
00:08:23.700 Amplified coverage of Carney includes posts identifying him as a, quote, rock star, unquote, and highlighting his pro-China views, of course.
00:08:31.440 So on Monday, the Security and Intelligence Threats to Election Task Force, its site, revealed it had detected the state-backed Chinese WeChat platforms had been attempted to influence the Chinese diaspora's view of Carney.
00:08:44.940 Attempts included amplifying his experience and credentials.
00:08:48.280 The information operation was launched by Yuli Yuman, WeChat's most popular news account.
00:08:54.080 Intelligence Reporting links Yuli to the Communist Party in China and their Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission.
00:09:01.440 This, according to Laurie-Anne Kempton, who is the Assistant Secretary for the Privy Council's Office Communication during a press conference on Monday.
00:09:10.680 And we have a little bit of that press conference.
00:09:13.220 Here is what it looked like, folks.
00:09:14.580 We are aware of an information operation targeting the 45th general election on the social media platform WeChat.
00:09:22.600 The information operation was launched by Yuli Yuman, WeChat's most popular news account.
00:09:28.340 Intelligence Reporting links the Yuli Yuman account to the PRC, Chinese Communist Party, Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission.
00:09:39.180 The content of this information operation contains story about the Prime Minister, Liberal Party of Canada leader, and candidate Indo-Pian, Mark Kearney.
00:09:47.980 This content has been amplified in a coordinated and inauthentic way.
00:09:55.780 This information operation had contrasting positive and negative narratives, first amplifying Mr. Kearney's stance with the United States and then targeting his experience and credentials.
00:10:06.440 Absolutely unbelievable.
00:10:08.440 We have a Canadian intelligence officer admitting that this is happening in the middle of our campaign.
00:10:16.120 Why aren't we stopping it?
00:10:17.280 Why isn't this front page across the country?
00:10:20.000 We have a foreign country and not a friendly neighbour and an ally like the United States, 1.00
00:10:24.920 but an actual nefarious evil government that does unspeakable things, that has different interests than we do, different values than we do.
00:10:33.600 And they are out there promoting Mark Kearney.
00:10:35.700 Just think about that for a second, folks.
00:10:37.300 What does that say about Mark Kearney?
00:10:39.360 The fact that China is going all out for him and the Canadian officials can just politely say,
00:10:44.800 Hey, we've noticed that this is happening and it's not very good, but we're completely powerless to stop it.
00:10:52.400 Foreign nefarious actors are taking charge in Canada. 0.99
00:10:55.840 It should terrify every single one of us.
00:10:58.320 And luckily for Mark Kearney, rather than having to deal with this, rather than having to deal with the bad press,
00:11:03.640 of wondering why on earth is an evil government like China promoting Mark Kearney,
00:11:09.420 instead we have the liberal media in Canada, of course, covering for Mark Kearney.
00:11:14.420 So let's just take a look at how the legacy media has reported on this huge news that China is actively working on behalf of Mark Kearney.
00:11:22.460 Here is a global news headline.
00:11:24.620 Kearney targeted by Chinese WeChat operation in Canada.
00:11:28.640 He was targeted.
00:11:30.020 He was targeted, folks, making it seem like he's somehow the victim.
00:11:33.780 Well, it isn't just global news.
00:11:35.380 CTV mimicking the same language.
00:11:37.480 Which elections task force detects Chinese information operation targeting Kearney?
00:11:43.340 Okay, so if you're just reading headlines out there, like many, many Canadians get their news by just scanning the headlines,
00:11:49.200 you would think, oh no, Mark Kearney is being targeted in a campaign by the Chinese. 1.00
00:11:54.060 That must mean that the Chinese don't like him and that he's standing up for Canada, right? 0.61
00:11:58.460 That was what you would think if you were reading these headlines.
00:12:00.620 Finally, the CBC security official report, a Beijing-linked online operation focused on Kearney.
00:12:06.600 Oh, it's just focusing in on him.
00:12:09.000 Nothing harmful.
00:12:10.580 Nothing to worry about here.
00:12:12.040 Just targeting Kearney and focus on Kearney.
00:12:14.800 This is absolute nonsense. 0.91
00:12:16.240 This is absolute nonsense. 0.84
00:12:17.200 It's the opposite.
00:12:18.200 It is targeting his opponents, right?
00:12:20.220 During the 2021 campaign, we know a similar WeChat campaign was out there targeting Aaron O'Toole in a negative way.
00:12:27.040 They were targeting him because they were attacking him, because they didn't want Aaron O'Toole to win.
00:12:31.340 They wanted Trudeau to win because the Chinese Communist Party likes liberals in Canada.
00:12:35.380 They want the liberals in office.
00:12:37.560 And the media is an absolute disgrace and an embarrassment, pretending that somehow this is targeting Kearney.
00:12:43.600 No, it is not.
00:12:44.440 It is benefiting him.
00:12:45.660 It is, if anything, it's targeting the conservatives because they don't want a conservative government.
00:12:49.600 They know a conservative government would be strong for Canada, would have zero tolerance for this kind of nonsense, would make sure that China was kicked out, not able to interfere in our elections.
00:12:58.860 But with the liberals, they know that Mark Carney is chummy, chummy, close friends with the communists in China.
00:13:05.020 He loves the green energy over there.
00:13:06.620 He loves China, just like Justin Trudeau admired the basic dictatorship in China.
00:13:11.480 Mark Carney is 2.0, exactly the same way.
00:13:14.820 And the ties go even deeper because remember Paul Chang, the candidate out in Unionville, Markham, that got booted finally?
00:13:21.600 He stepped down after it was revealed that he was trying to turn in his conservative opponent for a bounty put out by the communist regime in China.
00:13:29.840 Well, he stepped down after, of course, Mark Carney wanted to keep him in.
00:13:33.400 Mark Carney said that he had apologized and Carney was fine with that.
00:13:36.700 Well, Chang himself decided to leave under pressure.
00:13:39.340 And to nobody's surprise whatsoever, he has been replaced with another hardline defender of the communist Chinese government liberal candidate, Peter Yang, was replaced and video surfaced very, very quickly of him in uniform.
00:13:56.460 He's a former Canadian police officer, retired executive, and he is in his Canadian police uniform singing Chinese propaganda, Chinese propaganda, my Chinese heart wearing full Canadian police regalia.
00:14:12.860 Such an embarrassment.
00:14:14.300 This is what that looked like.
00:14:26.460 I mean, if you don't cringe seeing that, watching someone in a Canadian police uniform praising and singing to the Chinese communist government, I mean, this is just, this just shows you folks how far our country has gone, how low we've gone under the liberal government.
00:14:47.140 Well, our friend Sam Cooper over at the Bureau has done some digging and has a remarkable story over there.
00:14:53.780 The retired Toronto police executive who joined Chinese international school, which was flagged in Canada's election interference inquiry.
00:15:05.180 He is the one that replaced Paul Chang.
00:15:07.380 So he has an entire investigative report about this individual, Peter Yuan, and how, surprise, surprise, he's also very much linked to the Chinese government, working for an international school that the government of Canada has flagged and knows is involved in election interference.
00:15:23.780 And he cannot get away from the scandal because his party and his government is so interlinked and intertwined with the communist regime.
00:15:32.280 Folks, scary, scary stuff.
00:15:33.960 Voting for Mark Carney is not an elbows-up vote to secure Canadian sovereignty.
00:15:38.960 Quite the opposite.
00:15:39.800 He is obviously campaigning for deeper and deeper integration with the communist government in China.
00:15:46.540 Now, this should be, again, the biggest story in the country, but rather than that, the legacy media wants to continue to cover for him.
00:15:54.840 It is such a disgrace.
00:15:56.160 All the more reason why we need to organize.
00:15:58.720 We need to do everything we can to make sure that there is a change in government on April 28th.
00:16:05.440 It is so important, folks.
00:16:06.780 I'll write this all the time we have for today.
00:16:08.100 Thank you so much for tuning in.

00:16:20.180 I'm Candice Malcolm.
00:16:20.900 This is The Candice Malcolm Show.
00:16:22.160 Thank you and God bless.
