00:01:36.000 Buckle up everybody.
00:01:36.000 Here we go Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:01:39.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:01:41.000 I want you to know.
00:01:42.000 We are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:01:45.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House.
00:01:46.000 Folks, I want to thank Charlie.
00:01:49.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:01:50.000 His spirit, his love of this country.
00:01:52.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
00:01:57.000 Turning Point, USA.
00:01:59.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:02:07.000 That's why we are here.
00:02:11.000 With the ever-increasing numbers of makes and models, it is now impossible to stock all the parts you need on a traditional chain storefront.
00:02:17.000 Why endure often pointless and seemingly intimidating questioning and wait while the counterman orders the parts on his computer or her computer, choosing the only brand his warehouse happens to carry?
00:02:27.000 You have computers with access to Rockauto.com at home and in your pocket.
00:02:32.000 One reason to repair and maintain your cars is to save money and that you can then use for other important things like mortgages or food.
00:02:39.000 Why choose to spend 30, 50 or 100 more?
00:02:42.000 Rockauto.com is a terrific company.
00:02:44.000 They've been long-term partners here on this program and this podcast.
00:02:48.000 Rockauto.com is a family business and they love their country, serving auto parts customers online for 20 years.
00:02:55.000 Go to Rockauto.com to shop for auto and body parts from hundreds of manufacturers.
00:02:59.000 Look, when I walk into an auto shop, they might as well speak Swahili.
00:03:03.000 I understand none of it, but Rockauto.com is easy, it's seamless, it's understandable.
00:03:08.000 So go to Rockauto.com and pick out all your parts and write Charlie, Charlie Kirk and the, how did you hear about us?
00:03:14.000 Maybe you need a new Johnson rod.
00:03:15.000 Maybe you need a new thing that I don't know anything about cars, so maybe you need that thing.
00:03:19.000 Then go to rockauto.com and type in Charlie Kirk to how you heard us.
00:03:23.000 Amazing selection, reliably low prices, great people, all the parts your car will ever need, rockauto.com.
00:03:31.000 Hey, everybody.
00:03:32.000 Welcome to this episode of the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:03:33.000 I'm excited because I'm here with a politician I respect, which I don't want to say is rare, but it's not common.
00:03:40.000 Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, thank you for joining our program.
00:03:44.000 Thank you so much, Charlie.
00:03:45.000 So you're one of the most press-savvy people I have seen in the Republican Party, which is something we've been missing.
00:03:52.000 You literally took a carve out of Kamala Harris and brought it to the board, which was hilarious.
00:03:57.000 But before we get into kind of how you navigate PR, which I think is great and how much Democrats hate you, which I really like, can you talk about your story?
00:04:05.000 Because you were just a mom with a gun store or something.
00:04:09.000 Yes.
00:04:10.000 Yeah, I kind of have some sort of an understanding.
00:04:12.000 And you just ran and won.
00:04:14.000 Yes.
00:04:15.000 Tell us a story.
00:04:15.000 Yes.
00:04:16.000 And I believe that's what the founding fathers intended.
00:04:18.000 They intended a citizen legislator, legislature.
00:04:22.000 And that's what we're starting to see.
00:04:24.000 We're starting to see more moms step up, more business owners step up.
00:04:27.000 So, Charlie, I was actually raised in a Democrat household.
00:04:30.000 My mom just believed the lie of the Democrats.
00:04:33.000 She believed that you need government to be successful.
00:04:36.000 And especially if you have children, you need those government handouts because that's how your kids are going to get fed.
00:04:41.000 That's how you're going to have a roof over your head and be able to go to the doctors.
00:04:45.000 But it put me standing in breadlines at 11 years old.
00:04:48.000 And now I'm starting to see a comeback with breadlines.
00:04:52.000 And I don't want that.
00:04:53.000 I've been there.
00:04:54.000 And at 11, I knew that that was not the American dream.
00:04:57.000 So we lived in a pretty rough area in Denver, Colorado when I was growing up.
00:05:01.000 And we moved to Rifle, Colorado, the western slope of Colorado.
00:05:06.000 And I started working at the local McDonald's.
00:05:09.000 And it was incredible.
00:05:10.000 It was the greatest thing because I was able to put my hand to something and create wealth.
00:05:15.000 And I was in charge of what happened.
00:05:18.000 So with that first paycheck came pride and empowerment.
00:05:22.000 And I saw that I could do a better job taking care of myself than government could.
00:05:25.000 So I took those same principles and applied them throughout my life.
00:05:30.000 I counseled women at the Garfield County Jail at our local jail and showed them that they didn't have to be dependent on government.
00:05:38.000 They didn't need to wait for those handouts, that their life wasn't over because they had made a mistake.
00:05:42.000 The American dream is still alive and well.
00:05:45.000 And I've always been an example of that.
00:05:48.000 And everything I've done is because of the possibilities that this country provides, the opportunities that are provided in this country.
00:05:56.000 And so I would go into the jail, minister to these women.
00:05:59.000 I would have the opportunity, Charlie, to personally introduce them to the God who can turn their shame into glory, to restore whatever their past looked like and lead and guide and launch them into a glorious future.
00:06:14.000 I was able to create jobs for them.
00:06:16.000 And those opportunities were much more powerful than a government program.
00:06:19.000 So I became a small business owner and opened my restaurant in Rifle.
00:06:24.000 And it was incredible watching people flourish and creating talent and creating jobs in our small town of 9,000 people.
00:06:35.000 And so we named it Shooter's Grill because we're in the only city in America named after a gun, Rifle.
00:06:41.000 But there was an altercation shortly after we opened where a man was beaten pretty badly and lost his life near my restaurant.
00:06:48.000 And so immediately the next morning, I wanted to know how to defend everyone.
00:06:53.000 I bought my first handgun and took advantage of Colorado's open carry laws.
00:06:57.000 And so now all of my waitresses and I, we all open carry in the restaurant.
00:07:01.000 That's terrific.
00:07:02.000 Yes, yes.
00:07:03.000 So I've always been an advocate for the Second Amendment, but I started developing just a passion for the Constitution after reading it and studying it.
00:07:13.000 And I fell in love with the American dream and the opportunities that are in this country.
00:07:18.000 And I want to make sure those are available for generations to come.
00:07:22.000 I'm a mom of four boys.
00:07:24.000 How old?
00:07:25.000 16, 13, 11, and 8.
00:07:28.000 You ran for office with teenagers.
00:07:29.000 Yes.
00:07:30.000 Yes, I did.
00:07:31.000 I did.
00:07:32.000 But their future, the concern I had for their future motivated me.
00:07:37.000 And I wanted to do something to secure our freedoms.
00:07:40.000 And this is me stepping up to do my part to serve my country.
00:07:46.000 Did you know that 80% of all grass-fed beef sold in the United States is imported from overseas?
00:07:51.000 It's staggering and it's a problem.
00:07:53.000 You need to buy meat made in America.
00:07:55.000 And that's why I get my meat from goodranchers.com.
00:07:58.000 So look, I talked to Good Ranchers on the phone.
00:07:59.000 I said, send me the box that you send our listeners.
00:08:02.000 And I could you not?
00:08:03.000 I got a box that you wouldn't believe.
00:08:05.000 This could feed the 101st airborne.
00:08:08.000 There is enough meat for July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's, and Tax Day.
00:08:18.000 And I know you need to eat a lot on Tax Day because that's not a good day.
00:08:22.000 And sometimes you got to eat.
00:08:24.000 But my friends, the Good Ranchers, they've traveled the entire United States and met with actual people, real farmers, not the corporate hacks.
00:08:30.000 Look, Good Ranchers, they love their country.
00:08:31.000 Unlike all these wokesters and they sell you this fake vegan meat made in a laboratory with Bill Gates and underwater or whatever he's doing.
00:08:39.000 This is real because their product is 100% American.
00:08:42.000 When you buy steak and chicken from good ranchers, not only are you getting amazing meat, but you're also supporting American farms.
00:08:47.000 In fact, producer Connor, I went back to go into the freezer and all the meat was gone.
00:08:52.000 It was gone.
00:08:53.000 I said, what did you do?
00:08:54.000 He said, it's goodranchers, goodranchers.com.
00:08:58.000 I had to eat it.
00:08:58.000 And he was right.
00:08:59.000 Check out the Family Fest bundle.
00:09:01.000 If you subscribe, you'll save 20% off with each purchase.
00:09:04.000 So here's how it works.
00:09:05.000 Imagine if you had like a dollar shave club for meat.
00:09:09.000 It's that simple.
00:09:10.000 You get the meat delivered to your door and you don't have to go grocery shopping, no more lines, no more mystery meat, none of that stuff.
00:09:17.000 So stop guessing.
00:09:18.000 Support your country.
00:09:19.000 Know where your meat comes from with goodranchers.com.
00:09:22.000 Support American farmers.
00:09:23.000 Go to goodranchers.com slash Charlie to get $20 off and free express shipping.
00:09:28.000 It's 100% American beef and it's goodranchers.com slash Charlie.
00:09:32.000 Ranchers of the Ness.

00:09:35.000 You'll get a big box and you'll be happy.
00:09:37.000 I know a lot of you guys want to do cookouts this summer.
00:09:40.000 Maybe it's beef, maybe it's steak, maybe it's pork, maybe it's chicken, whatever it is.
00:09:43.000 Goodranchers with the nest.com slash Charlie.
00:09:46.000 Look, I have a, I'm going to guess, just a wild guess here.
00:09:49.000 All of you listening are going to have to eat at some point.
00:09:52.000 If you have to eat, you might as well buy from someone who helps the Charlie Kirk show.
00:09:57.000 So do that at goodranchers.com slash Charlie, goodranchers.com slash Charlie.
00:10:05.000 So what led you to run?
00:10:07.000 You were worried and all this.
00:10:08.000 Walk us through the process because I first heard about you in Aspen.
00:10:11.000 This guy comes up to me.
00:10:12.000 He's like, you got to hear about Lowen Barber.
00:10:14.000 She's going to win us the Senate race and win us Colorado.
00:10:16.000 I was like, wow, she must be really amazing.
00:10:18.000 And he's like, yeah, she's going to win back this seat and rifle.
00:10:21.000 And so that was the first I heard of you.
00:10:22.000 And then I saw an advertisement or something.
00:10:24.000 I was like, oh, I like this.
00:10:25.000 Because it was real intensity.
00:10:26.000 It was not kind of consultant class garbage that we're force fed all the time.
00:10:31.000 Just walk through how you decided.
00:10:33.000 Now I'm going to run.
00:10:33.000 You know what?
00:10:34.000 Yes.
00:10:35.000 So I think it's kind of started with Beto O'Rourke.
00:10:38.000 So I've, like I said, I advocate for the Second Amendment, just running my mouth in my restaurant in my town and stomping my foot when Democrats start taking our rights away.
00:10:48.000 We have magazine limits in Colorado and all sorts of stuff, red flag laws and everything.
00:10:54.000 And so Beto O'Rourke slipped up from a presidential debate stage and he said, hell yes, we're going to take your guns.
00:11:01.000 And we've been told for years, nobody's taking your guns.
00:11:04.000 We just want gun control.
00:11:06.000 We just want gun legislation and sensible gun laws.
00:11:10.000 Nobody's digging your guns.
00:11:11.000 We slipped up.
00:11:12.000 He said, yeah, we're taking them.
00:11:14.000 And so he announced he was coming to Aurora, Colorado.
00:11:17.000 That's about three hours from Rifle.
00:11:19.000 And so I said, I'm not letting him come to my state, the city I was raised in, and pander to people without being confronted.
00:11:27.000 So I drove three hours to his presidential rally.
00:11:30.000 Never been to a campaign.
00:11:31.000 Where movie theater shooting was.
00:11:33.000 Yes, in Aurora.
00:11:34.000 Right.
00:11:35.000 And then we have Columbine there.
00:11:36.000 We have the Sim School shoot.
00:11:37.000 But he was, of course, he highlighted all of those tragedies.
00:11:41.000 But what he failed to mention was these victims were all defenseless.
00:11:46.000 These were all in gun-free zones.
00:11:47.000 And that is the whole purpose of the argument.
00:11:51.000 They were defenseless.
00:11:52.000 They didn't have a way to protect themselves.
00:11:54.000 There's even a story of one gentleman in the Aurora theater who was a concealed carry permit holder.
00:12:01.000 And the story is that his girlfriend asked him not to carry his gun that night.
00:12:06.000 And he wasn't able to protect anyone there.
00:12:10.000 So, I mean, it's, you know, just that in and of itself is, it speaks volumes.
00:12:16.000 And so I went down there and I grabbed that microphone with my Glock on my hip and I looked him in the eye and told him, hell no, you're not.
00:12:24.000 I didn't remember this.
00:12:25.000 Yes.
00:12:25.000 So you weren't running before that.
00:12:26.000 No, I had no intention to.
00:12:28.000 Not at all.
00:12:29.000 No, I was really just frustrated.
00:12:31.000 I was frustrated with politicians.
00:12:32.000 I'm not a politician.
00:12:33.000 I know you called me one.
00:12:34.000 Well, you have to wear the label temporarily.
00:12:36.000 Okay.
00:12:37.000 But the fact you hate it makes me like you.
00:12:39.000 Yes.
00:12:39.000 Thank you.
00:12:40.000 Because every time I meet a politician, I have to go take a shower.
00:12:42.000 Right.
00:12:43.000 Me too.
00:12:43.000 Yes.
00:12:46.000 Except I don't have time to anymore.
00:12:47.000 But you're actually a citizen of our country that didn't have aspirations.
00:12:50.000 Like, oh, I have a super PAC.
00:12:51.000 You just showed up at an event and just told Robert Francis Aurora what?
00:12:56.000 Hell no.
00:12:57.000 You are not taking our guns.
00:12:58.000 I told him, look at me.
00:13:00.000 I am a five-foot-tall, 100-pound woman.
00:13:02.000 I cannot defend myself with a fist.
00:13:05.000 I have four boys and I need to be able to defend them and protect them.
00:13:09.000 And I told them how he would leave us defenseless.
00:13:12.000 Moms demand action.
00:13:13.000 They had their big group there.
00:13:14.000 Bloomberg from the Astro Turk organization.
00:13:16.000 Yes, terrible, terrible.
00:13:17.000 And so they were booing me and all of this.
00:13:20.000 But the Aurora Police Department were very happy that I spoke up.
00:13:25.000 And I wasn't expecting that.
00:13:27.000 But when I was leaving, you know, there was a lot of nods and thank yous and good shots.
00:13:31.000 So you went to the event.
00:13:33.000 Did you have to like sign in?
00:13:33.000 Yes.
00:13:35.000 No, it was outdoors.
00:13:36.000 It was, there was about 150 people there.
00:13:39.000 You know, presidential rally, I was great size, huh?
00:13:42.000 He should come to a turning point event.
00:13:44.000 Yes, exactly.
00:13:45.000 And so I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
00:13:48.000 And I really attribute that to the grace and favor of God.
00:13:51.000 I was positioned exactly where I needed to be.
00:13:56.000 You may have heard that I'm recently married.
00:13:58.000 Every married man knows that while it's the greatest gift, it's also a big change.
00:14:02.000 I'm joyfully adjusting all the habits I formed as a single man, all the way down to my sleep schedule.
00:14:09.000 One part of this married man's routine will remain exactly the same.
00:14:12.000 You want to know what it is?
00:14:14.000 Every night before going to bed, I still take two capsules of magnesium breakthrough by buy optimizers.
00:14:20.000 Don't get me wrong.
00:14:21.000 I'm not taking any old generic synthetic magnesium pills.
00:14:25.000 I only take magnesium breakthrough.
00:14:27.000 Why?
00:14:28.000 Well, simply put, there are seven unique forms of magnesium.
00:14:31.000 By leveraging all seven forms in each capsule, I'm able to experience magnesium's deep restorative sleep benefits.
00:14:39.000 If you're having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, try magnesium in your nightly regimen and be amazed by how much healthier your sleep patterns become.
00:14:48.000 For an exclusive offer to the Charlie Kirk show listeners, go to magbreakthrough.com.
00:14:53.000 That's magbreakthrough.com forward slash Kirk.

00:15:15.000 So you gave the speech and you drove back and the video goes viral.
00:15:18.000 Yes.
00:15:18.000 And you don't even know what's going on.
00:15:19.000 Dana Lash retweeted it.
00:15:22.000 And so she was the one who started.
00:15:24.000 She was here last night.
00:15:25.000 She's incredible.
00:15:26.000 She's the best.
00:15:26.000 Yes, yes.
00:15:27.000 Love her.
00:15:28.000 But and I was like, oh my gosh, Dana Lash is like, and at first it was just audio.
00:15:33.000 Like people didn't have like the video of me.
00:15:35.000 You know, it's just audio.
00:15:36.000 This girl does this.
00:15:37.000 But anyway, that ended up going viral, 5 million views from NRA.
00:15:41.000 And I began to see that I can actually represent people and affect the situation.
00:15:50.000 You know, I run my mouth a lot and I can actually affect change by doing that.
00:15:54.000 And so I started to get involved just with petition signings in Colorado.
00:15:59.000 We had the National Popular Vote Compact petition.
00:16:02.000 We were trying to get that on the ballot to repeal the legislation.
00:16:06.000 Yes.
00:16:06.000 Didn't it?
00:16:07.000 I was surprised about that.
00:16:08.000 But I think there were some issues.
00:16:09.000 I think there's a lot of issues.
00:16:11.000 Because the polling reflected that it was unpopular.
00:16:13.000 But anyway, sorry.
00:16:14.000 We even have wolves now in Colorado because of so many failed things on the ballot last year.
00:16:19.000 But it's terrible.
00:16:21.000 They got rid of wolf hunting.
00:16:23.000 They're reintroducing wolves in Colorado.
00:16:25.000 What kind of stupid idea is that?
00:16:26.000 Thank you.
00:16:27.000 They know nothing about it.
00:16:28.000 Denver and Boulder voted them in.
00:16:30.000 And we all say, if you want wolves, put them in Denver.
00:16:34.000 Put them in Boulder.
00:16:35.000 They don't know what they do to ranchers.
00:16:36.000 Are you allowed to kill them?
00:16:36.000 No.
00:16:38.000 They're protected.
00:16:39.000 Oh, so you just allow your livestock to be murdered.
00:16:42.000 Yes.
00:16:42.000 You should be able to shoot wolves from helicopters.
00:16:44.000 Yes, from helicopters.
00:16:46.000 Specifically from helicopters.
00:16:47.000 Some people think I'm being like heartless.
00:16:48.000 Oh, there's like these are vicious animals.
00:16:50.000 Yes, no.
00:16:51.000 And they will destroy.
00:16:52.000 And our governor right now is praising the pups that are that are being.
00:16:58.000 You talk to any rancher, anyone that's in touch with the earth, not some vegan milk person from Boulder, they'll actually tell you that this is a menace.
00:17:06.000 Yes.
00:17:07.000 And the diseases.
00:17:08.000 Oh, it's terrible.
00:17:08.000 Yes.
00:17:09.000 They will take over an ecosystem in a month.
00:17:11.000 And by the way, they're so smart.
00:17:13.000 They'll cline up in trees.
00:17:14.000 You cannot, once they're released and they have more children, it's like 50 pups per family.
00:17:20.000 It's unbelievable.
00:17:20.000 Yes.
00:17:21.000 Well, it's also an attack on our energy industry.
00:17:24.000 Totally.
00:17:26.000 Well, because if there's a wolf tin, then there can't be drilling within so many miles.
00:17:26.000 Wait, what do you mean?
00:17:30.000 Well, this is the way that they're able to stop fracking.
00:17:33.000 Yes.
00:17:33.000 That's the real issue.
00:17:34.000 Absolutely.
00:17:35.000 And I would love to talk to you about energy during this too, because I mean, that is a huge deal in Colorado.
00:17:35.000 Yes.
00:17:42.000 But, you know, just getting involved, I ended up being the second largest signature gatherer for that petition.
00:17:47.000 And I wasn't trying to do anything great other than get it on the ballot so we could repeal it, save our electoral college votes, save our votes for president that our governor had just stolen and the state legislature just stolen from us.
00:17:58.000 And I started to listen to people.
00:18:01.000 I started to hear from people and they had the same complaints that I did.
00:18:04.000 And I decided it wasn't enough for me to sit at home and complain about what was going on.
00:18:08.000 I wanted to be a part of the solution.
00:18:10.000 And God really highlighted this seat to me.
00:18:13.000 And I guess I knew that it was the right thing when I knew it was too big for me to do alone.
00:18:19.000 Because this is something that I never imagined.
00:18:22.000 I never saw myself in government and politics.
00:18:24.000 I voted in presidential elections.
00:18:26.000 That's about it.
00:18:27.000 I love Donald Trump.
00:18:28.000 That was about it.
00:18:29.000 I don't like Governor Polis.
00:18:32.000 And so I primaried a five-term incumbent.
00:18:36.000 Republican.
00:18:37.000 A Republican.
00:18:38.000 Oh, that's awesome.
00:18:39.000 And, you know, he was a nice guy, but unfortunately, he wasn't very conservative.
00:18:39.000 Yes.
00:18:44.000 He would campaign as a conservative, but then get to DC and appease Democrats with his voting.
00:18:50.000 And so we hit the ground running and started reaching out to people.
00:18:55.000 I had $100,000 that I raised in the entire primary.
00:18:59.000 He had a million and I won by 10 points.
00:19:02.000 And you worked the district.
00:19:04.000 Yes, every inch of it.
00:19:05.000 So do you still own the restaurant?
00:19:06.000 Yes.
00:19:07.000 Shooters grill.
00:19:07.000 How's it going?
00:19:08.000 It's doing great.
00:19:09.000 The city of Rifle decided to tear up our street and do construction after we opened it 100% capacity.
00:19:15.000 Are they not in support of you?
00:19:16.000 I mean, says Rifle been taken over by Liberty?
00:19:18.000 No, no.
00:19:19.000 So, I mean, there's some folks in leadership that aren't that great, but Rifle is.
00:19:23.000 So tell me your district.
00:19:24.000 Do you have Aspen in your district?
00:19:25.000 That's hilarious.
00:19:25.000 I do.
00:19:26.000 Yes.
00:19:27.000 So you represent America's ruling class, at least in their part-time.
00:19:30.000 Yes, I do.
00:19:30.000 Yes.
00:19:31.000 That's a great way of putting it.
00:19:32.000 I have a special just point of disdain for people that live in certain parts of Aspen.
00:19:39.000 Aspen is what they want America to be, which is all the underlings and the people we don't respect.
00:19:44.000 They rent and they barely get by while we go live on Red Mountain and we have a $95 million home and we're going to go tell you how racist you are and climate change and all that sort of stuff.
00:19:53.000 So you have Aspen, you have basalt.
00:19:54.000 Yes.
00:19:55.000 And you have, so you have the whole western slope.
00:19:58.000 Do you have Durango?
00:20:00.000 Yes.
00:20:00.000 I do.
00:20:01.000 Yes.
00:20:01.000 47%.
00:20:02.000 Just keep naming cities.
00:20:03.000 I have them.
00:20:04.000 47% of the state.
00:20:05.000 Are you serious?
00:20:06.000 So the western part of the state.
00:20:06.000 Yes.
00:20:07.000 Yes.
00:20:08.000 And then also we wrap down into Pueblo.
00:20:08.000 Yes.
00:20:10.000 And I love Pueblo.
00:20:11.000 Pueblo is supposed to be a Democrat stronghold.
00:20:13.000 Those are all the coal people, aren't they?
00:20:15.000 Who's at Durango?
00:20:16.000 So Pueblo has a steel mill.
00:20:19.000 And then there's a lot of wind turbines and everything.
00:20:19.000 Okay.
00:20:22.000 Vestus is down there that is being built.
00:20:25.000 But our coal plants are all being shut down in Nucle and Adorita and Craig.
00:20:29.000 And, you know, China is building 200 coal-fired energy plants and we're buying solar panels from them and shutting down our coal-fired energy plants, our clean coal.
00:20:40.000 China's coal is dirty.
00:20:41.000 So do you represent represent Steamboat?
00:20:43.000 Yes.
00:20:44.000 Yes.
00:20:44.000 Are you serious?
00:20:45.000 So you've got a really interesting district.
00:20:46.000 You have literally the most conservative and then the most liberal.
00:20:49.000 Yes.
00:20:49.000 So I'm like, I would love to see your constituent calls.
00:20:52.000 Yes.
00:20:53.000 They're fun.
00:20:53.000 Yes.
00:20:55.000 You know, it would be nice if it was just people from the state that called to Grite, but most of them's like Lincoln Project campaign.
00:21:01.000 Of course.
00:21:02.000 But yeah, when I go throughout the district, it's incredible.
00:21:06.000 I want everyone to be encouraged that the base is still there.
00:21:09.000 The base is still motivated.
00:21:10.000 And if anything, we're bringing more people on with us.
00:21:15.000 The motivation that people have, the momentum, it is very real and it's very tangible.
00:21:20.000 I knew we had it in the primary.
00:21:22.000 I knew we had it in the general and it's even stronger now.
00:21:25.000 So they're trying to draw you out?
00:21:27.000 Yes.
00:21:28.000 Yes, we're going through redistricting and they are redrawing the lines.
00:21:28.000 I'm sure.
00:21:32.000 And I am their target because I'm doing what I said I would do.
00:21:35.000 Yes, you are.
00:21:36.000 Yes.
00:21:36.000 Well, no, but you're also really PR savvy.
00:21:38.000 I'm going to get to that in a second.
00:21:40.000 I get all the, I sign up for all the Democrat emails and I must get an email trying to defeat you every single day.
00:21:46.000 Like urgent triple match.
00:21:47.000 Nancy Pelosi needs your help.
00:21:49.000 Nohern Boebert is.
00:21:51.000 It's like, wow, she's really doing something.
00:21:53.000 It's funny.
00:21:54.000 I don't get that about Liz Cheney.
00:21:55.000 They never said anything like, help us defeat Liz Cheney.
00:21:57.000 That's kind of weird.
00:21:58.000 So you have nine opponents.
00:22:02.000 You don't have any primary action.
00:22:03.000 If anything, nothing significant.
00:22:04.000 Nothing significant.
00:22:05.000 Yeah.
00:22:06.000 So who's running in the other side?
00:22:08.000 It's still too early to tell.
00:22:10.000 Nine people, anyone that's right.
00:22:12.000 Well, they're raising lots of money.
00:22:14.000 Oh, I'm sure they are.
00:22:15.000 Yes.
00:22:15.000 Seriously.
00:22:16.000 Yes, absolutely.
00:22:17.000 And in Vail.
00:22:18.000 We have folks that are in the district that are hoping to be a part of the district running.
00:22:22.000 And so there are nine Democrats.
00:22:23.000 And the challenge with that is they're not running a primary campaign.
00:22:29.000 They're not attacking each other yet.
00:22:31.000 They're all attacking me.
00:22:32.000 And all of their earned media is attacking me.
00:22:34.000 And so all of the newspapers, any story that they're in, you know, it's how to defeat Lauren Bober.
00:22:39.000 And really, I think it's actually to their disadvantage because the more they attack me, the greater my people stand up to defend me because they know that I'm here for them.
00:22:50.000 It's especially true at these local congressional races.
00:22:55.000 Let's talk about one of my favorite sponsors, Thinker.
00:22:57.000 In our fast-paced world, it's tough to make reading a priority.
00:23:01.000 At least it used to be.
00:23:02.000 At thinker.org, T-H-I-N-K-R.org.
00:23:05.000 They summarize the key ideas from new and noteworthy nonfiction, giving you access to an entire library of great books in bite-sized form.
00:23:12.000 Read or listen to hundreds of titles in a matter of minutes.
00:23:15.000 From old classics like Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People to brand new bestsellers like Jordan Peterson's Beyond Order.
00:23:22.000 Even better, when they go out of their way to carry titles the left is trying to ban, like Ryan T. Anderson's When Harry Became Sally, a rational response to the transgender movement.
00:23:30.000 Whatever your background or interests, you'll find compelling content on Thinker.
00:23:34.000 I'm telling you right now, thinker.org, T-H-I-N-K-R.org is terrific.
00:23:38.000 If you want to challenge your preconceptions and expand your horizons and become a better thinker, go to thinker.org/slash Charlie.
00:23:45.000 That's T-H-I-N-K-R.org slash Charlie.
00:23:48.000 Start a free trial and download the app today.
00:23:50.000 Again, that's thinker.org.
00:23:52.000 T-H-I-N-K-R.org.
00:23:54.000 T-H-I-N-K-R.org slash Charlie.
00:24:00.000 So the maps are being redrawn.
00:24:02.000 Do they have any idea what they're going to do?
00:24:03.000 Are they going to put in some like West Denver suburb in your district or something?
00:24:06.000 Boulder.
00:24:07.000 Oh, yeah.
00:24:08.000 Even better.
00:24:09.000 Are they really going to give you Boulder?
00:24:10.000 It's been threatened.
00:24:11.000 And then even there's one map that shows us bordering Boulder, another one, including Boulder.
00:24:17.000 It's, yeah, it's interesting.
00:24:19.000 That's how you know you're a threat.
00:24:21.000 So you're very good at PR, which I love because that's really what Congress has become.
00:24:25.000 It's basically an oversight board and a public relations organization.
00:24:29.000 Tell us about some of the stuff that you've been doing.
00:24:32.000 You brought Kamala Harris a cut out to the border.
00:24:34.000 Yes.
00:24:35.000 You, I'm trying to think you did some other things where you like try to bring a gun into the Congress or something.
00:24:38.000 Yeah.
00:24:39.000 No, I walk with my gun in Congress all the time.
00:24:42.000 They were trying to like sanction you or arrest you or something for that.
00:24:44.000 So we have metal detectors now.
00:24:48.000 Is it still under military occupation?
00:24:50.000 No, they are gone.
00:24:51.000 Yes, as of May 25th, I believe it was.
00:24:54.000 They really started.
00:24:55.000 Did they roll the tanks out?
00:24:56.000 Yeah, they're out of their goodness.
00:24:58.000 You know, Nancy Pelosi believes in walls and armed security.
00:25:01.000 So, you know, shouldn't we all also benefit?
00:25:03.000 Yes.
00:25:04.000 But, but no, she put metal detectors in front of the House chambers.
00:25:09.000 So when we go into the House chambers, we have to walk through metal detectors or we'll be fined.
00:25:12.000 $5,000 the first time, $10,000.
00:25:14.000 So you've done that.
00:25:15.000 So then what?
00:25:16.000 So I have not gone into the chambers without.
00:25:18.000 That was always the rule.
00:25:19.000 And I'm not going in there just like blow off all the rules.
00:25:22.000 But everywhere else in the Capitol complex, you can have your firearm.
00:25:25.000 Members can have their firearm.
00:25:26.000 And I have mine everywhere.
00:25:28.000 Except the chambers.
00:25:28.000 Wow.
00:25:30.000 Except the chambers, which has always been the House rules, I guess.
00:25:32.000 Going back to yes.
00:25:34.000 And there's been a lot that's happened there.
00:25:38.000 You know, we had a video exposing the hypocrisy of Nancy Pelosi and her wall with the miles of razor wire.
00:25:44.000 Benny did a similar video.
00:25:45.000 Yes, demanding she tear down the wall.
00:25:46.000 Yes.
00:25:47.000 And I'm a little prettier than Benny.
00:25:49.000 I agree.
00:25:50.000 Yes.
00:25:52.000 I agree.
00:25:52.000 Benny's pretty, but I wouldn't say that.
00:25:55.000 He's clever.
00:25:58.000 That's as far as I just want him to see this part of it.
00:26:00.000 He's clever and creative.
00:26:02.000 Yes.
00:26:02.000 I'll say that.
00:26:03.000 So talk about what it's like being in Congress.
00:26:06.000 Do you even have committee meetings anymore?
00:26:09.000 Oh, I'm so glad you asked.
00:26:10.000 So I serve on the Natural Resource Committee and the Budget Committee.
00:26:14.000 And we just recently had a real budget hearing.
00:26:17.000 And you've only spent $4 trillion since you've been there.
00:26:20.000 Yeah, right.
00:26:20.000 Exactly.
00:26:21.000 We're just now reviewing Biden's bloated budget and just how ridiculous that is.
00:26:26.000 But the $1.9 trillion budget reconciliation did not even go through the budget committee.
00:26:32.000 And then someone asked me, well, did it go through appropriations?
00:26:34.000 No, didn't go through anything.
00:26:35.000 It went straight to the House floor.
00:26:37.000 Like, that is how ridiculous they are in trying to get.
00:26:40.000 No markups.
00:26:40.000 No markups.
00:26:41.000 No hearings, no testimonies, nothing.
00:26:44.000 Nothing.
00:26:44.000 Hurry up and get it done because they didn't need the filibuster to reconcile the budget.
00:26:48.000 Well, in the House, they can go quick in the Senate's even.
00:26:50.000 It's become really expedient.
00:26:52.000 So you're on budget committee.
00:26:55.000 There has to be a continuing resolution coming up this fall, right?
00:26:58.000 We'll see.
00:26:59.000 We'll see what they end up doing with all of that.
00:27:02.000 We're talking about FY 2022.
00:27:04.000 And the thing is, there's no such thing as bipartisan ship in the House of Representatives right now.
00:27:11.000 Even our amendments, I mean, they just defeat them because it's a Republican amendment.
00:27:15.000 It is so difficult to get even an amendment to a bill added.
00:27:20.000 There's no such thing as unity.
00:27:21.000 And I mean, I call them out on their bull crap all the time for trying to speak love and peace and unity.
00:27:26.000 There's no such thing.
00:27:27.000 It's their way or no way.
00:27:29.000 We don't vote on Republican legislation.
00:27:31.000 And then I serve in the Natural Resource Committee and I had fun in that one recently.
00:27:35.000 There's a lot of important bills that pass that without going through that committee as well.
00:27:40.000 Eight huge land packages that heavily affected my district and those passed the House with flying colors.
00:27:48.000 But recently in one of our budget committee meeting, or excuse me, our natural resource committee hearing meetings, there was a man who came in.
00:27:56.000 He said he drilled for natural gas in North Dakota.
00:27:58.000 And I got really excited.
00:27:59.000 I said, oh, we got a roughneck in the committee hearing room.
00:28:02.000 Like, this is great.
00:28:03.000 My husband's a roughneck.
00:28:04.000 He's drilled for natural gas for 18 years.
00:28:06.000 I was a pipeliner.
00:28:07.000 I love the industry.
00:28:08.000 I know the benefits from this industry.
00:28:10.000 And he gets on there and he starts demonizing it right away and just saying how horrible it is.
00:28:16.000 Call them as a witness.
00:28:17.000 Democrats.
00:28:17.000 Of course.
00:28:18.000 Yes.
00:28:19.000 So he says that there's artificial hyperinflation that comes in when these drilling companies come into communities.
00:28:28.000 Now, Charlie, there was nothing artificial about the businesses that succeeded when these companies came in, the schools that were built, the hospitals that were built, the fire departments, our roads.
00:28:39.000 There was nothing artificial about the moms who were able to stay home and raise their children if they wanted to.
00:28:45.000 So that's their new, but so let me give you, let me be clear.
00:28:47.000 I just want to explain this.
00:28:48.000 So their new argument is like, you know what?
00:28:50.000 You're right.
00:28:50.000 It does create all this wealth.
00:28:51.000 But the problem is that it's a stimulus.
00:28:53.000 Yes.
00:28:54.000 And what we need is instead of actually trying to use our natural resources, we want to give you government checks.
00:28:58.000 Is that their new argument?
00:28:59.000 Yes, that's exactly right.
00:29:00.000 So that's really.
00:29:03.000 But what is what?
00:29:04.000 Yes.
00:29:05.000 What is the problem?
00:29:05.000 We've got to find that sound.
00:29:07.000 We'll find that.
00:29:08.000 What is artificial hyperinflation?
00:29:11.000 What is artificial about this, excuse me, is politicians coming in and regulating us into poverty.
00:29:16.000 Obviously, yes.
00:29:17.000 That is our fault.
00:29:17.000 No, it's actually the most real thing.
00:29:19.000 It's something you can actually touch.
00:29:20.000 It's not just some numbers on a screen.
00:29:24.000 Correct.
00:29:24.000 It's actual real resources.
00:29:26.000 So fracking, every time it's come up in Colorado, failed.
00:29:29.000 Is that right?
00:29:30.000 No, we frack.
00:29:30.000 No, I'm saying every time a fracking ban.
00:29:33.000 I'm sorry.
00:29:33.000 Yeah.
00:29:33.000 To come up in Colorado, it's failed.
00:29:35.000 Yes.
00:29:36.000 There's different restrictions on where rigs can be located and stuff like that.
00:29:39.000 So they just keep narrowing where we can drill.
00:29:42.000 This wolf thing is going to be terrible.
00:29:44.000 Yes, it is.
00:29:44.000 Yes, it is.
00:29:44.000 So it's very difficult to drill in Colorado right now.
00:29:47.000 I think we have three or four standing rigs right now, a couple drilling for oil and two for natural gas.
00:29:52.000 But, you know, this man who was talking in the committee room, he was talking about how hard he worked and how it was backbreaking labor.
00:30:01.000 And he said, you know, I once worked a record 95 hours in seven days.
00:30:07.000 Huh.
00:30:07.000 Yeah.
00:30:07.000 I don't know if there's been a week I haven't worked 115.
00:30:10.000 Yes.
00:30:10.000 I mean, I got on there and told him, I said, sir, I remember my first part-time job, but I'm not here bragging about it.
00:30:16.000 That's funny.
00:30:17.000 But I mean, really, more than 100 hours a week is very natural for a lot of people, especially business owners.
00:30:24.000 And then there's usually not even a paycheck at the end of it.
00:30:27.000 He should just go become a bureaucrat.
00:30:28.000 Yes, yes, exactly.
00:30:30.000 Well, I think what was the most telling was he was complaining about not receiving a coat.
00:30:36.000 He didn't receive a coat.
00:30:37.000 The company didn't provide him with one.
00:30:39.000 He said, well, sir, you were provided with your PPE, your hard hat, your safety glasses, your gloves, your fire retardant clothing, the tools to get the job done.
00:30:47.000 I sit in the Natural Resource Committee, and the policies that are being promoted here actually send that work and those jobs to our adversaries, to our enemies, to China, to Africa, to Russia, to Saudi Arabia.
00:31:01.000 And I said, and you know, the policies that are being promoted here actually affect 40,000 children in the Congo who are mining for cobalt.
00:31:11.000 And they aren't given a coat.
00:31:12.000 They aren't given PPE.
00:31:14.000 They aren't even given tools to get the job done.
00:31:16.000 They are mining with their bare hands.
00:31:19.000 And that is what Democrats are promoting, child and slave labor.
00:31:24.000 And of course, in China as well, as we see, as you just mentioned.
00:31:28.000 So in closing here, what can people do to help you?
00:31:31.000 And because I'll be very honest, I've said this on my show.
00:31:34.000 I'm super uninterested in Congress.
00:31:36.000 Nothing meaningful happens.
00:31:37.000 And I'm just interested in the cultural landscape.
00:31:39.000 Not to say I'm not interested in your story and what you're doing.
00:31:42.000 I think it's really important, but Congress just seems awful.
00:31:45.000 I don't envy you.
00:31:46.000 What can people do to maybe give a little bit more confidence that this whole thing is not just a complete and total scam?
00:31:53.000 Yes.
00:31:54.000 Well, I need people to get involved locally.
00:31:56.000 I need everything that your organization does to motivate our youth and this next generation that's coming up is so vital, so important.
00:32:04.000 And so for people to get involved in their schools and speak up, we need voices now more than ever.
00:32:10.000 And that's what I do.
00:32:12.000 I speak up and expose the hypocrisy and the corruption that is going on and make fun of them while I'm doing it.
00:32:19.000 I troll liberals.
00:32:20.000 So that's what it is.
00:32:21.000 That's what I do.
00:32:22.000 Oh, they hate you.
00:32:22.000 It's great.
00:32:23.000 Yes.
00:32:24.000 But we need people involved at every level.
00:32:27.000 And I don't believe that it's over or I wouldn't be there.
00:32:31.000 But I'm every day being led by the Spirit of God and putting my faith in God that there is a plan for our country.
00:32:38.000 There have been two countries that were created to glorify God: Israel and the United States of America.
00:32:45.000 And we will glorify God.
00:32:46.000 Amen.
00:32:47.000 Yes.
00:32:47.000 Well, Lauren, Congresswoman, thank you for what you're doing.
00:32:49.000 Don't let the bad guys get you down.
00:32:51.000 And I have a feeling you're going to win, even if they give you Boulder or if they give you downtown Denver.
00:32:56.000 We're going to try to pull this one across the finish line.
00:32:58.000 But you're doing wonderful work.
00:33:00.000 And I wish we had more Republicans like you because you didn't go to that Robert Francis O'Rourke rally to try to go run for something.
00:33:07.000 It's a legitimate citizen government story, which I really, really appreciate.
00:33:11.000 So thank you so much.
00:33:12.000 Thanks so much, Charlie.
00:33:12.000 Thank you.
