00:02:00.000 With us is one of the most amazing people in Washington, D.C. He's a fighter, and I'm just going to tell you his new book right off the bat.
00:02:08.000 You should go buy it.
00:02:09.000 Do what you said you would do.
00:02:11.000 Fighting for freedom in the swamp by Congressman Jim Jordan.
00:02:14.000 What a concept.
00:02:15.000 Doing what you said you were going to do.
00:02:17.000 We've known each other for many years and he's a buck guy and we had a great mutual friend, Tom Patrick.
00:02:21.000 Jim, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:02:24.000 Charlie, good to be with you.
00:02:25.000 Thank you for what you do.
00:02:27.000 Fighting for freedom, fighting for those important concepts and doing what Americans want you to do.
00:02:33.000 So we appreciate that.
00:02:34.000 But yeah, and you talk about the title of our book.
00:02:38.000 No one did more what they said they would do than our good friend and the greatest president, President Trump.
00:02:44.000 And so I write a lot about him in the book, some of the interactions we had, but I think your viewers will enjoy it.
00:02:51.000 It's a quick read.
00:02:52.000 It takes them behind the scenes so they can kind of feel what it's like here in Congress.
00:02:56.000 Well, so there's a lot of different places I want to go with it.
00:02:59.000 Let's start with just the book.
00:03:02.000 And so the title is really important.
00:03:04.000 Do what you said we would do.
00:03:06.000 The biggest complaint I get from voters is the fact Republicans go to D.C. and we win elections, but then they become somebody totally different in committee and especially on votes.
00:03:16.000 And it's as if they tell their voters what they want to hear and then they don't actually do what they say they're going to do.
00:03:21.000 Why is that the case?
00:03:23.000 Yeah.
00:03:23.000 Well, a couple of things.
00:03:24.000 You're exactly right.
00:03:25.000 That phenomenon does happen, I think, all too often.
00:03:28.000 My attitude is we make this job too complicated.
00:03:30.000 What did you tell the voters you were going to do when you put your name on the ballot and you went out and campaigned?
00:03:36.000 If they elect you, you should probably just go do what they elected you to do, do what you said you would do.
00:03:42.000 But the real reason that people don't do that, I think, is because it's just easier.
00:03:46.000 You get here and the mainstream press comes after you, the bureaucracy comes after you, the establishment, the swamp, pick whatever term you want.
00:03:54.000 It's just easier to keep your head down and not have to face the mainstream press saying bad things about you or lying about you.
00:04:00.000 So that's what normally happens.
00:04:02.000 But my attitude is: look, I tell this to guys in the Freedom Caucus, I tell to my colleagues, if the mainstream press isn't saying something bad about you, you're probably not doing anything any good.
00:04:12.000 So just get used to that and understand that's what it's going to be like if you're actually going to fight for the things that make America the greatest country ever.
00:04:19.000 Well, I mean, I agree with that.
00:04:21.000 It's just there's a disconnect between the voters and actually what's get done.
00:04:25.000 I think that that kind of disconnect is actually shortening.
00:04:29.000 I think it's getting better because of people like you, President Trump, and many others.
00:04:34.000 I mean, we've come a long way since John Boehner.
00:04:37.000 Let's just put it that way.
00:04:38.000 And, you know, you're from Ohio, so you know all about that whole operation, but he almost declared war on the conservative wing of the Republican Party.
00:04:47.000 And it seems as if there is a greater platform for conservatives now.
00:04:51.000 So let's talk about what will happen if Republicans take back the House of Representatives, which it looks like that is almost imminent.
00:05:00.000 First, talk about that.
00:05:00.000 How do you feel going into the midterms?
00:05:02.000 Then I want to ask you about what can actually be done.
00:05:04.000 Let's start there.
00:05:06.000 No, I feel good.
00:05:07.000 I mean, look, you never want to be overconfident.
00:05:09.000 My background is in sports and sport of wrestling.
00:05:12.000 So you never want to get overconfident, but you do want to be confident.
00:05:15.000 You do want to campaign confidently.
00:05:17.000 I feel good about it.
00:05:18.000 I think Virginia was a great sign.
00:05:19.000 I mean, I've seen lots of encouraging signs.
00:05:21.000 What happened in Virginia when started with moms and dads speaking out?
00:05:24.000 And the next thing you know, Glenn Young's going to be the next governor.
00:05:27.000 What happened with 12 jurors in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where they said, we're going to follow the facts.
00:05:31.000 We're going to follow the truth.
00:05:32.000 We're going to honor due process.
00:05:35.000 So I always say courage is contagious.
00:05:37.000 I think the American people feel what's coming.
00:05:40.000 And frankly, Joe Biden and the Democrats have been just, they haven't done anything right.
00:05:44.000 They haven't done anything.
00:05:45.000 So I think we're going to win.
00:05:46.000 If we win, the second part of your question, Charlie, if we win, it's going to be tough to pass anything because Joe Biden will still be in the White House.
00:05:54.000 But I do think we can do our constitutional obligation, which is the proper oversight, do the kind of investigations that need to happen in every single committee.
00:06:03.000 I mean, think about the ways and means committees should try to figure out how did thousands of Americans' tax returns become public.
00:06:09.000 The Oversight and Judiciary Committee, we should be working together to figure out all the whole Dr. Fauci gain of function, lab leak theory, everything else.
00:06:17.000 We should be looking at the Department of Justice, which is sick, the FBI counterterrorism division on moms and dad.
00:06:23.000 So there's lots of investigations where we need to get the truth to the American people.
00:06:28.000 So I think we'll see a lot of focus there and appropriately so if in fact we win and take back the House and the Senate.
00:06:34.000 Well, I'm pleased to hear that because we've been saying on our show that the mandate needs to be that we're going to take back the House and it's not going to happen in one election cycle.
00:06:44.000 We still have the regime in the White House.
00:06:46.000 We're going to find out where this virus came from.
00:06:48.000 We're going to find out why we gave $85 billion to the Taliban.
00:06:52.000 We're going to find out why the Department of Justice went after James O'Keefe in an early morning raid for a diary.
00:06:59.000 And I think what we're getting at, Congressman, is that the American people want answers.
00:07:04.000 Because the system our founders gave us, as you know, is so brilliant, but oversight has been so lacking of these federal bureaucracies and these agencies.
00:07:13.000 Can you talk a little bit about kind of what it's been like under Pelosi's regime, especially the last couple of years?
00:07:20.000 You've been in Congress, you know, now under Republican control, Democrat control.
00:07:24.000 You guys don't even get to say anything in some of these committee meetings.
00:07:26.000 Is that right?
00:07:28.000 Yeah, I mean, I like the way you said what Americans want.
00:07:31.000 America, it's so true.
00:07:33.000 Americans want safe cities.
00:07:34.000 Americans want affordable gas.
00:07:36.000 Americans want freedom.
00:07:37.000 Democrats have given us increased crime.
00:07:40.000 They've given us record inflation and they've given us Dr. Fauci, right?
00:07:44.000 Americans, and you think about all the bad policies.
00:07:48.000 What scares me more than anything is when you think about freedom, what the Democrats have done in the last year to the First Amendment, to the most basic liberties we have, the very First Amendment, the Bill of Rights of the Constitution.
00:08:00.000 So I'm really nervous about that.
00:08:03.000 And that's something we have to highlight.
00:08:04.000 If we take back the House, Lord Willen, I'll be chairman of the Judiciary Committee.
00:08:08.000 That's the committee that's supposed to focus on protecting the Constitution, protecting your fundamental liberties.
00:08:13.000 And that's what we're going to do in addition to those investigations.
00:08:16.000 So I think that's the key.
00:08:17.000 And you're right, Speaker Pelosi has kicked people off a committee.
00:08:20.000 She didn't allow the minority leader to put people on the select committee that's January 6th, this completely political operation they've got over there.
00:08:30.000 It's unprecedented action she has taken.
00:08:33.000 So I think the American people see it for what it is.
00:08:38.000 And that's why we're going to win, I think, in November.

00:09:39.000 So, you know, when Newt Gingrich on the program, Newt said that if we take back the House, we can't go back to business as usual.
00:09:46.000 We're going to have to kind of make Pelosi feel some of the pain she inflicted on Republicans, meaning that, you know what, you might not get committee assignments.
00:09:55.000 You know what?
00:09:56.000 That we're going to have our own special commissions.
00:09:58.000 You had the January 6th Commission.
00:10:00.000 We might have a Fauci virus commission and all this.
00:10:02.000 You know, if you're chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is there going to be, you know, I know it's an if and if and if, and I understand all that, but just a lot of voters, they kind of want to hear, like, hey, is it going to be equal time for Nadler and you?
00:10:16.000 I mean, or is it going to be like, hey, we're in charge now.
00:10:18.000 We're going to go find out what's actually happened.
00:10:20.000 So today in committee offered a resolution to subpoena documents from the Attorney General, the FBI director, the Secretary of Education, and the president of the School Boards Association who sent the initial letter on September 29th that began this whole episode of targeting parents, putting a threat tag on moms and dads.
00:10:38.000 So the chairman said, nope, we're not going to take up the resolution to subpoena those documents.
00:10:43.000 So if we're in charge, we will subpoena those documents.
00:10:46.000 Exactly.
00:10:46.000 We will get the information because Charlie, here's what I think happened in that specific case.
00:10:50.000 I don't actually think the letter was what prompted the Biden White House and the Garland Justice Department to target parents.
00:10:57.000 I think it went the other direction.
00:10:59.000 I think they just wanted the letter as an excuse, as a pretext to do what they wanted to do, which was target parents and chill the speech of moms and dads because they didn't like that political growth they were seeing out there.
00:11:10.000 They wanted to stop that.
00:11:11.000 So it was much like the letter was exactly like the dossier in the Trump Russia investigation, where Jim Comey wanted to go after President Trump, wanted to spawn his campaign.
00:11:21.000 He just needed a reason.
00:11:22.000 So, oh, Shazam, here comes this dossier that they knew was garbage, but they used it as the pretext to do what they wanted to do.
00:11:29.000 I think the same thing happened here.
00:11:31.000 And God bless this whistleblower who came forward with his email that shows that Tim Langin, head of the counterterrorism division at the FBI, sent out this email putting this, saying to FBI agents around the country, put this threat tag on parents, this designation, used counterterrorism measures to go after mom's dad.
00:11:47.000 It is so wrong.
00:11:48.000 So that's the kind of stuff we're going to have to do.
00:11:51.000 And I'm so pleased to hear that.
00:11:52.000 And that alone to put you in charge of the judiciary committee is a reason to go take back the house.
00:11:58.000 And I think we're on pace to do it.
00:12:00.000 The book is do what you said you're going to do.
00:12:02.000 So there's a couple different chapters here.
00:12:03.000 I haven't yet read the book, but one chapter that popped out to me is chapter seven.
00:12:08.000 I'm sure you're going to get a lot of questions about this.
00:12:10.000 When is someone going to jail?
00:12:11.000 Jim, when is someone going to jail?
00:12:14.000 Used to be the number one question I would get.
00:12:17.000 I always recall this, I think I was in the Tulsa airport and I come walking out of the restroom and there's some big guy with a big cowboy hat.
00:12:24.000 He's like staring at me and he walked up and I was a little nervous because he come walking right up to me and that's exactly what he said.
00:12:29.000 He just pointed at me and says, when is someone going to jail?
00:12:32.000 Because American people are so sick of the double standard.
00:12:34.000 But I walked through the big investigations that I had the privilege of serving, you know, being a part of as a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Oversight Committee.
00:12:43.000 I talk about when the IRS targeted folks that watch your show.
00:12:48.000 I talked about when I was on the Benghazi committee, what happened there and the information we had to get and the whole email server in Hillary Clinton.
00:12:54.000 And then, of course, I get into the impeachment issue and the Trump-Russian investigations and all those things where Adam Schiff told us a bunch of baloney and I walk them through all those.
00:13:04.000 So that's kind of what I think the readers will enjoy reading sort of, again, the behind the scenes stuff that happens when you do these big investigations.
00:13:13.000 And you point out that Lois Lerner was targeting people and yet she gets her pension and it's never had a consequence at all for the action she took against American citizens.
00:13:25.000 And so do you think that what's one of the ways we could structurally change this?
00:13:30.000 I mean, I get this question all the time too.
00:13:32.000 And the problem is it creates cynicism and then it creates these show trials where it's like, oh, we're going to keep people in solitary confinement because they went in and took selfies at the Capitol.
00:13:42.000 And look, we denounced the violence on that day.
00:13:44.000 Every reasonable person did as well.
00:13:46.000 But we want an equal application of justice, obviously.
00:13:49.000 And you have these people that are in solitary confinement in Gitmo style conditions.
00:13:55.000 And yet, meanwhile, you have James Comey and Hillary Clinton and let alone Hunter Biden, who could do whatever he wants to do, sell massive pieces of art.
00:14:04.000 Is there something Congress can do about that if you take it, you know, take back the House?
00:14:08.000 Or is this just kind of a more structural DOJ thing?
00:14:12.000 Well, no, it's going to have to be.
00:14:13.000 Look, we can highlight it.
00:14:14.000 We can talk about it.
00:14:15.000 We can have the hearings, get the facts and the evidence to the American people.
00:14:19.000 But in the end, it requires a Justice Department with the proper leadership to enforce the law and to hold people accountable.
00:14:28.000 And frankly, to not do things they shouldn't.
00:14:30.000 And, you know, we got all the examples where Hillary Clinton gets to testify on the July 4th weekend, but James O'Keefe, as you pointed out earlier, he gets his apartment raided and they take his phone and everything else, it looks like, come in and do all they do.
00:14:45.000 Or the couple who weren't at the January 6th rally, who in Alaska, they had the wrong couple.
00:14:51.000 They come up and hold them at handcuff and question them, interrogate them for hours.
00:14:56.000 I mean, that's the kind of stuff that just is not supposed to happen in the United States of America.
00:15:01.000 So our job is to draw attention to it, do the proper oversight.
00:15:05.000 But in the end, the executive branch has to hold them accountable.
00:15:08.000 They're the only ones that can dight anyone, can indict anyone and take them to trial.
00:15:13.000 Yeah, you're right in the book.
00:15:14.000 Americans get fairness.
00:15:16.000 People get fairness.
00:15:17.000 It's human nature.
00:15:18.000 You take your brother's cookie, a classmate cuts in line, the bully cheats at kickball on the playground.
00:15:24.000 You instinctively recognize each event as unfair.
00:15:27.000 What you articulate in this book really well is the yearning of the human soul towards justice.
00:15:32.000 We are always trying to point towards what is just and what is good.
00:15:37.000 And we're getting away from that in a variety of different ways, whether it be an overemphasis on skin color as trying to be a factor in whether or not you should get sentencing or justice administered towards that.
00:15:50.000 And I think that the hand the Democrats are playing is one that is wildly unpopular with the American people.
00:15:58.000 So maybe you congressman can help explain something for me.
00:16:00.000 I asked this of our good friend Mark Meadows.
00:16:02.000 I asked this of Donald Trump.
00:16:04.000 I asked this of Newt Gingrich, and everyone has different answers, which is why is it that the House Democrats, the Senate Democrats, and the Biden regime, they are not adjusting as the poll numbers decrease.
00:16:16.000 Why is it it seems as if they're getting more radical and accelerating the more backlash they get from the American people?
00:16:24.000 Why is that?
00:16:25.000 Yeah, because they don't, it's almost a disdain they have for regular Americans.
00:16:31.000 We're the deplorables.
00:16:32.000 We're the ones who live in Flower Country.
00:16:34.000 They think Charlie Kirk, Jim Jordan, and the people I get the privilege of representing, they think we're not smart enough.
00:16:40.000 We're not as sophisticated and as important as they are.
00:16:43.000 They are the elite and that's how they view the country.
00:16:46.000 And it's sad because it's, like I said, probably the best word is disdain.
00:16:52.000 They just don't see the country like we do.
00:16:54.000 And deep down, and this is really sad to say, I don't think there's a lot of Democrats who I don't think like the country.
00:17:02.000 They do fundamentally want to change the place.
00:17:04.000 And we love this nation.
00:17:05.000 We're not perfect, but we're the greatest nation ever.
00:17:08.000 We understand it.
00:17:09.000 And the words that you associate with America, you just talked about them in my book, are freedom and fairness, the freedom to chase down your goals and your dreams in a fair, equal playing field, equal competition, where if you work hard, you have a goal, you have a dream, you can make it happen in this country.
00:17:24.000 That's what this country offers its citizens.
00:17:26.000 And the Democrats say, no, no, no, everyone's a victim.
00:17:29.000 Everything's bad.
00:17:30.000 We got to fundamentally change the country.
00:17:31.000 And we're like, no, we don't.
00:17:33.000 This is the greatest place ever.
00:17:34.000 If you don't believe me, my background is a sport of wrestling.
00:17:38.000 I've been to the Soviet Union when it was still the Soviet Union.
00:17:40.000 I've been to Cuba.
00:17:41.000 You go to places like that.
00:17:43.000 You thank the good Lord you live here.
00:17:45.000 I mean, I tell people Moscow in February, it's like 500 below zero.
00:17:50.000 I mean, it's the coldest place in the world.
00:17:52.000 And you thank the good Lord you live in this great country where you have freedom.
00:17:56.000 And that's what concerns me more than anything else.
00:17:59.000 So I think it's, remember during impeachment, the one professor the Democrats brought in in the hearings, she said, conservatives, conservatives spread.
00:18:08.000 Democrats like to cluster.
00:18:09.000 Conservatives spread out because they don't even like being around themselves.
00:18:12.000 And it's don't even like, excuse me, being around each other.
00:18:15.000 And it was like, that's how they think about us.
00:18:18.000 Peter Strzok says, I'm in the Northern Virginia Walmart.
00:18:20.000 I can smell the Trump supporters.
00:18:22.000 Remember that?
00:18:23.000 So that's the position they have.
00:18:24.000 And that's what is just so wrong about where the left is today.
00:18:30.000 Did you know that if you shop at Nike, they turn around and give your hard-earned dollars to pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and the Population Council?
00:18:38.000 Sinister folks, by the way.
00:18:39.000 Did you know that Airbnb gave $500,000 to the Marxist BLM incorporated organization?
00:18:47.000 Your first vote is at the ballot box, but that isn't enough to defend our traditional Judeo-Christian values.
00:18:54.000 Left-wing corporations are subverting our nation and our republic by taking money from conservative customers and giving it to radical organizations that support abortion, gun control, and critical race theory.
00:19:08.000 You have another vote, a second vote at the checkout line, which is why there's a massively important organization called Second Vote that comes in.

00:20:48.000 It's a beautiful thing.
00:20:49.000 Go to secondvote.com and subscribe with promo code Charlie today.
00:20:56.000 Yeah, and there's a lot of different ways to kind of go about that, which is, you know, how sustainable is the American project if half the country hates us, right?
00:21:05.000 That's a serious question.
00:21:07.000 I hope that there could be like a way to reconcile this.
00:21:10.000 You know, we have this study here.
00:21:12.000 We did a whole show on it today.
00:21:13.000 Here it is, that 37% of young people, young Democrats, do not want to be friends with Republicans.
00:21:19.000 37% of young people.
00:21:21.000 So that's my question, Jim.
00:21:22.000 Is that, you know, you're in Congress, you're friends with some Democrats.
00:21:25.000 You have to be.
00:21:26.000 But how much of what they say publicly is for show?
00:21:30.000 And how much do they actually believe it?
00:21:33.000 You know, how much of it is like they actually are they actually as radical and as silly as they as they come across?
00:21:40.000 Unfortunately, I think many of them are, Charlie.
00:21:43.000 And there's been a marked change in the last decade.
00:21:46.000 When I first got to Congress a few years back, and he's still a good friend.
00:21:50.000 In fact, we just text messaged each other a couple days ago.
00:21:54.000 Dennis Kucenich, I mean, he's a lefty.
00:21:58.000 He's way on the left.
00:21:58.000 We disagree.
00:21:59.000 He thinks I'm Mr. Conservative.
00:22:01.000 We don't agree on many policies.
00:22:02.000 I have a lot of respect for him, though.
00:22:04.000 He's a decent guy.
00:22:05.000 Same here.
00:22:05.000 Dennis is a friend.
00:22:07.000 And there were a few times where we could actually work together.
00:22:10.000 But I respect Dennis.
00:22:11.000 His attitude was he believed in the First Amendment.
00:22:14.000 He was a true liberal, believed in the First Amendment.
00:22:16.000 Make your best argument.
00:22:17.000 Make your best taste.
00:22:18.000 Let's see what happens.
00:22:19.000 Let's have the debate.
00:22:20.000 Today's left is different.
00:22:22.000 Today's left says, if you don't agree with me, you're not allowed to speak.
00:22:26.000 And if you try, we're going to call you a racist and we're going to try to cancel you.
00:22:31.000 That is frightening.
00:22:32.000 That's the attack on the first.
00:22:34.000 It used to be the left, the true left 10, 20 years ago championed the First Amendment, championed free speech.
00:22:40.000 Now they want to squelch any speech that they don't agree with.
00:22:44.000 And that I think is in the end the biggest threat to our country because if you can't talk, if you can't speak in a political fashion, none of your other rights matter.
00:22:53.000 You can't practice your faith.
00:22:54.000 You can't assemble.
00:22:55.000 You can't petition your government if you're afraid to speak out.
00:22:58.000 And that's what the left's going after now.
00:23:00.000 That's why what you're doing with young people across this country is so darn important because you are standing up for speech and then going to the most tough, difficult places, going to college campuses and doing it.
00:23:10.000 That's why I applaud what you're doing.
00:23:12.000 And it's critically important.
00:23:14.000 Well, thank you.
00:23:14.000 And you're right.
00:23:15.000 We are the speaking beings.
00:23:17.000 If we can't communicate, then it prevents us from being fully human.
00:23:22.000 One of the issues that you've been focusing on and that others have is the issue of tech censorship.
00:23:28.000 Five years ago, it would have been considered to be a thought crime in Republican circles to say that we want to break up a private company.
00:23:35.000 Five or six years ago, that would have been unthinkable.
00:23:38.000 I now think we should break these companies up with a sledgehammer and make them suffer and punish them, but I'm not a politician.
00:23:45.000 What is the path forward for big tech?
00:23:49.000 There's got to be a legislative and a market issue.
00:23:51.000 Obviously, Rumble has come out really nicely, Rumble.com.
00:23:55.000 There's the Truth Trump Network.
00:23:57.000 What's the path forward when it comes towards big tech?
00:24:00.000 When we get back in power and we get President Trump back in the White House, we should, first of all, get rid of their liability protection, Section 230.
00:24:08.000 I mean, that's the first thing.
00:24:09.000 You just do it.
00:24:10.000 Just take that liability protection away.
00:24:12.000 Second, you got to get antitrust issues to this highest court in a much faster, much quicker fashion.
00:24:18.000 It's because Justice Thomas has seemed to indicate he wants to deal with this issue.
00:24:22.000 So let's get it to the Supreme Court and let the court make a decision on the antitrust concerns.
00:24:26.000 The Trump administration brought antitrust actions against Google and Facebook.
00:24:31.000 So we would like to get those to the Supreme Court in an expedited way to get answers.
00:24:36.000 And then we need to give individuals greater ability to bring a private right of action when their speech gets censored on these big tech platforms because the big platforms now are equivalent to the public square.
00:24:47.000 I mean, it's where we talk, where we debate.
00:24:51.000 And then finally, the fourth component is what you just referenced.
00:24:54.000 We do need alternatives.
00:24:55.000 And of course, the news this week was Devin Nunes, a great member of Congress, a great friend of yours and mine, is going to be leaving Congress to head up the social media entity that President Trump and business people have created to provide that alternative to the big tech and the left who are censoring conservatives.
00:25:16.000 So all four of those things have to happen, and that's got to be our path forward.
00:25:20.000 Yeah, and my only regret with the Devin thing is I would have loved to see him be chairman of, is it oversight?
00:25:28.000 He was intelligence, right?
00:25:29.000 If I'm not mistaken.
00:25:30.000 He did a wonderful job.
00:25:31.000 He really did.
00:25:32.000 Sure, did he go down because the Russia thing was unchallenged before Congressman Nunes really got into the weeds there with Kash Patel and they're trying to make cash pay for what he actually uncovered.
00:25:44.000 It was rather remarkable.
00:25:45.000 So you go in the book, you go through issue by issue.
00:25:49.000 One of the issues you talk about is immigration, chapter nine.
00:25:52.000 So Congressman, one of my big fears of how Republicans could possibly screw up this next year is if we do a mass amnesty deal this spring.
00:26:02.000 I'm hearing from a lot of people that establishments, people in the Republican Party want to try to get amnesty done this spring.
00:26:09.000 Do you think that's realistic and why should we oppose that?
00:26:12.000 No, we should definitely oppose that.
00:26:15.000 I mean, look, the Biden administration now wants to pay people $450,000 who came here illegally.
00:26:20.000 I mean, this is, excuse me, some of the craziest things, craziest policies I've ever seen.
00:26:25.000 No, the American people understand that others want to come to the greatest nation in history.
00:26:30.000 And no one faults people for wanting to come here.
00:26:33.000 But the American people get it that you have to do it legally.
00:26:38.000 So what I think we have to focus on is secure the border first.
00:26:42.000 That has to be first and foremost.
00:26:44.000 President Trump understood this.
00:26:46.000 That's why he campaigned on the issue, build the wall, and he did.
00:26:50.000 So we have to focus on securing the border.
00:26:52.000 Understand what has taken place this year.
00:26:55.000 1.7 million illegals have come into the country this year.
00:26:59.000 There was a time where each month it was getting a bigger and bigger number.
00:27:03.000 So much so that your only interpretation you can have is this was intentional.
00:27:08.000 This was deliberate policy from the Biden administration.
00:27:10.000 Yes.
00:27:11.000 So that's what we have to focus on, securing the border before we move forward on any other question relative to immigration.
00:27:18.000 Well, and just, you know, it would be nice to have a little oversight from the House.
00:27:23.000 Hey, how many people are waltzing into our country?
00:27:26.000 And, you know, meanwhile, we're supposed to care about some sort of Russian-Ukrainian border dispute, which, again, I have really no passion on either side.
00:27:34.000 But it's just so funny to see establishment Republicans and Democrats get so angry that Ukraine's borders might be compromised while our borders remain totally porous and wide open.
00:27:44.000 And so you have a whole chapter on immigration, and then you talk about impeachment and then COVID-19.
00:27:50.000 And then you just kind of have a whole chapter on America.
00:27:52.000 For the time we have remaining, just kind of summarize a little bit towards the end of the book, the arguments you make and kind of the call to action for all the readers.
00:28:01.000 Yeah.
00:28:02.000 Well, I tell them, first of all, never forget this is the greatest country ever, as we said before.
00:28:06.000 And I give some stories in there about the Wright brothers.
00:28:08.000 And I read McCullough's book recently.
00:28:10.000 I mean, what these guys did was amazing.
00:28:12.000 And they did it without taking a penny from the government.
00:28:14.000 And it's such an American story.
00:28:18.000 Have a goal, have a dream, through hard work and perseverance, make it happen.
00:28:21.000 So that's still where most Americans are.
00:28:24.000 And I think the bulk of the country is there.
00:28:26.000 Overwhelming, I think, part of the country is there.
00:28:29.000 So let's talk about that.
00:28:31.000 But then, you know, I will walk them through kind of behind the scenes, what happened in impeachment.
00:28:35.000 One of the stories that I relate is when my friends Steve Scalise and Matt Gates stormed the bunker in the basement of the Capitol when Adam Schiff was doing the depositions and hearings for impeachment of the president of the United States in a secret room where the country couldn't see and kind of what happened there and Schiff's reaction.
00:28:54.000 And also, that's the part I think they'll enjoy.
00:28:56.000 I also talk a lot about a lot about how we formed the Freedom Caucus and why we did it because John Boehner at the time just was not doing what we told the voters we were going to do relative to Obamacare, relative to Planned Parenthood, relative to spending and other policies, and why we formed the group and then sort of some of the big moments that we had with the early on with the Freedom Caucus.
00:29:19.000 It started with nine of us.
00:29:20.000 I always say one of the original nine was one of our great governors right now, Ron DeSantis, who's doing an outstanding job.
00:29:25.000 Nine of us is a group of 30-some.
00:29:27.000 Yeah, 30-some people.
00:29:29.000 So I think they'll like it.
00:29:31.000 Your viewers who read it, I wrote every word of it.
00:29:34.000 I'm old school.
00:29:35.000 I wrote it all out long handle on yellow legal pads.
00:29:37.000 And so I think they'll enjoy the behind the scenes look.
00:29:40.000 Well, and so many of the superstars that we see, Mark Meadows was the chairman of the Freedom Caucus, if I'm not mistaken, all kind of came from there.
00:29:50.000 Look, on a daily basis, conservative men are being inundated with garbage.
00:29:54.000 All these ads about overpriced boxers or these slick ad campaigns, it's nonsense.
00:29:58.000 I, speaking, like to keep it private, but I'm happy to tell you about a wonderful company.
00:30:03.000 These people are terrific.
00:30:04.000 In fact, producer Andrew, big fan of this company, UnderTech, U-N-D-E-R-T-A-C, the only men's basic brand that is unapologetically Christian, pro-American, pro-military, and very proudly Second Amendment.
00:30:17.000 They put comfort and functionality first by integrating a quick release fly and secret pocket in the extra wide waistband for cash or tactical necessities.
00:30:24.000 They're also anti-bacterial, anti-pilling, and moisture wicking fabric is super soft and comfortable.
00:30:29.000 Under tech is durable, fade resistant, shrink-resistant, and ultra-lightweight.
00:30:33.000 And here's the best part.
00:30:34.000 They're 30% less expensive than the competition.
00:30:36.000 So go to undertack.com.

00:30:57.000 Can you talk about some of the races you are personally focused on?
00:31:01.000 Our audience is a very actionable audience.
00:31:03.000 They like to support candidates and all this.
00:31:04.000 So first, they should go buy do what you said you do by Jim Jordan.
00:31:08.000 Second, what are some of the races you're looking at specifically?
00:31:10.000 Who are some of the heroes that need our backing?
00:31:13.000 Where is your energy focused specifically?
00:31:16.000 Yeah, well, a couple of things.
00:31:17.000 One, just to put on a radio screen, we have to keep Ohio Senate seat in Republican hands.
00:31:22.000 We got some good candidates running there.
00:31:23.000 Haven't endorsed yet, but some good candidates there.
00:31:25.000 So we're looking, but that's important that that seat stay Republican.
00:31:30.000 Some of my colleagues who are in tough races, Yvette Harrell, a wonderful lady who ran twice in 28.
00:31:37.000 Yeah, 2018, they announced CNN, all the mainstream press reported that she had won.
00:31:42.000 And then about an hour later, well, Shazam, we just found some votes in this county and they took it back.
00:31:47.000 And she wound up losing that race.
00:31:49.000 She just kept running and she was able to win in 2020.
00:31:53.000 Great colleague, a member of the Freedom Caucus.
00:31:55.000 Scott Perry, our new chairman, comes from a Tupper district in Pennsylvania.
00:31:59.000 We work hard for Scott.
00:32:01.000 He's a general, just been a great fighter for conservative principles.
00:32:04.000 So we're looking at those races.
00:32:05.000 And then in these open seats, we're trying to find that conservative candidate who's willing to come here and do what they said they would do, do what the voters elected them to do, fight for the principles that make our country great.
00:32:16.000 So we're looking at candidates all over the country and all these open seats as well.
00:32:19.000 But as far as incumbents go, I really think of Yvette and Scott is at the top of the list.
00:32:24.000 They've been great.
00:32:25.000 And the Ohio Senate race is terrific.
00:32:27.000 I've endorsed JD.
00:32:28.000 I don't think you've endorsed yet, but it's a great race.
00:32:31.000 And we have to make sure that Tim Ryan, is that his name?
00:32:34.000 Is that right?
00:32:35.000 Ryan?
00:32:35.000 Yeah, Tim Ryan's a Democrat.
00:32:36.000 Yeah.
00:32:38.000 He's not going to be easy to defeat.
00:32:41.000 And there'll be some really important House races in Arizona, really important House races in Georgia that are popping up.
00:32:48.000 Texas, Georgia, Texas, Florida.
00:32:50.000 Yeah, all of them.
00:32:51.000 Can you talk about how important the primaries are?
00:32:54.000 Because sometimes Republicans don't always focus on them because we need more members of the Freedom Caucus, especially if we're going to win the House by 40 or 50 seats.
00:33:02.000 I think it's going to be like 60 to 70.
00:33:04.000 I think it's going to be an absolute wipe the floor, a generation type election.
00:33:08.000 If that's the case, though, we want to make sure that we have people that really believe in what we believe in.
00:33:13.000 Talk about the importance of that.
00:33:16.000 Well, no, that's the whole reason behind.
00:33:17.000 We have this outside organization, the House Freedom Fund, that we don't control.
00:33:21.000 We can't determine the endorsements, but that group is totally focused on the situation you just described.
00:33:27.000 Republican leaning seats in a primary.
00:33:29.000 Let's make sure we get the conservative candidate in there, the candidate that's most likely to be a part of the Freedom Caucus and fight for the things that we all care about.
00:33:37.000 So we spend some time looking at candidates, but in the end, the outside group has to make the determination who they're going to endorse.
00:33:45.000 But yeah, that's the kind of race we look at.
00:33:48.000 We've had a number of those.
00:33:49.000 We had a race in Georgia a couple years ago where in this primary, there were some candidates, but the House Freedom Fund got behind Marjorie Taylor Greene and she winds up winning that race and is a great member of Congress.
00:34:01.000 So and others, Mary Miller in Illinois, same thing.
00:34:06.000 So number of races where we've picked that kind of candidate in those kind of situations.
00:34:11.000 And they're now member of Congress and maybe just as importantly, a member of the House Freedom Caucus.
00:34:16.000 No, I think that it's so important.
00:34:18.000 And if people are saying, well, Charlie, what races do I focus on?
00:34:21.000 The most important ones are the local ones, right?
00:34:23.000 The ones that you could touch, you could feel that are in your neighborhood.
00:34:25.000 Last question.
00:34:26.000 You talk to President Trump a lot.
00:34:29.000 What do you think of his involvement coming into the midterms and possibly running in 2024?
00:34:35.000 Oh, I think he's definitely running.
00:34:37.000 I mean, I mean, he hasn't announced it officially, but he's, I think he's going to run.
00:34:41.000 I think he's going to win.
00:34:43.000 I want him to run.
00:34:44.000 I want him to win.
00:34:45.000 I've endorsed him since, you know, I don't know, since the day after the last election.
00:34:50.000 I'm for President Trump.
00:34:51.000 Because no, as we said at the top of the program, no one did more of what they said they would do than he did.
00:34:58.000 I mean, you think about the list, Charlie.
00:35:00.000 I think this is amazing.
00:35:00.000 And he did it in spite of every Democrat against him, everyone in the mainstream press against him, everyone in the bureaucracy against him, which is the part we forget sometimes.
00:35:08.000 That's where the power is in this crazy town.
00:35:10.000 And then a bunch of Republicans against him.
00:35:12.000 But in spite of all that, he said he'd cut taxes.
00:35:14.000 He did.
00:35:14.000 He said he'd reduce regulations.
00:35:15.000 He did.
00:35:15.000 He said he'd build a wall.
00:35:16.000 He did.
00:35:17.000 He said he'd get out of the Iran deal.
00:35:18.000 He did.
00:35:18.000 He said he'd put the embassy in Jerusalem.
00:35:20.000 He did.
00:35:20.000 He said he would put conservatives on the corner.
00:35:23.000 He, you know, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Tony Bear, and on and on I could go.
00:35:26.000 So I think he's going to run.
00:35:28.000 I think he's going to win.
00:35:30.000 And I think, you know, we win back to House and Senate next year.
00:35:34.000 President Trump wins in 2024.
00:35:35.000 Then we got to focus on doing what we said we would do.
00:35:38.000 And those issues and values that make our country special.
00:35:41.000 The one thing I would add to is this.
00:35:44.000 In light of what we've now learned about how the left is using schools and teaching this crazy hate America, racist curriculum called CRT and what happened in Virginia.
00:35:56.000 I don't think anyone should support any candidate who's not for school choice.
00:36:00.000 If they're not for school choice, if they're not for saying to moms and dads, you should be able to decide where your son or daughter gets the best education.
00:36:07.000 Even if they're Republican, don't support them unless they're a Republican who supports school choice.
00:36:13.000 Make that almost a litmus test because it is so fundamental to the future of our country.
00:36:18.000 I totally agree.
00:36:19.000 And we need to have a counter move against the public sector teacher unions and the cartel and their collusion with the National School Board Association, Department of Justice, and all that.
00:36:29.000 It is an issue that is breaking the back of the Democrat regime.
00:36:32.000 Congressman Jim Jordan, do what you said you're going to do.
00:36:34.000 Pretty easy title to remember and a great book.
00:36:37.000 Thank you so much for joining us.
00:36:38.000 Keep fighting.
