00:00:13.000 Should Christians watch content that involves swearing and potentially sexually explicit content?
00:00:19.000 What happened to Paul Ryan?
00:00:21.000 That's a tough, tough thing for me to talk about.
00:00:23.000 That and so much more.
00:00:24.000 Email me your thoughts as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:00:43.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:44.000 Here we go.
00:00:45.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:47.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:49.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:52.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:56.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:57.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:58.000 His spirit, his love of this country.
00:01:00.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
00:01:05.000 Turning point USA.
00:01:06.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:01:15.000 That's why we are here.
00:01:18.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:27.000 Look who I found at our Young Women's Leadership Summit.
00:01:30.000 Hey, Charlie, how's it going?
00:01:31.000 How have you been?
00:01:32.000 It's been a very long time since I've seen you.
00:01:34.000 I feel like I see you every couple months now.
00:01:36.000 It's been a while.
00:01:38.000 I ran into you very briefly at the 2000 Mules airing.
00:01:44.000 Yep.
00:01:44.000 And you were being mobbed.
00:01:47.000 Well, so were you, Charlie?
00:01:48.000 I got out of there, though.
00:01:50.000 There's too many people.
00:01:51.000 For those of you listening, you say, I know that voice.
00:01:52.000 That's Kyle Rittenhouse, everybody.
00:01:54.000 Kyle, welcome back to the program.
00:01:57.000 And you look like you're doing great.
00:01:59.000 I am.
00:01:59.000 I'm doing really good.
00:02:00.000 I went wakeboarding over the weekend and wake surfing at AF Wake.
00:02:04.000 It was awesome.
00:02:05.000 Yeah.
00:02:06.000 Extremely sore still.
00:02:09.000 I don't feel my hands right now from holding on to the wakeboarding rope.
00:02:13.000 But that's all right.
00:02:14.000 It was awesome.
00:02:14.000 And I can't wait to do it again.
00:02:15.000 So you sent out a tweet the other day that I thought was really important, which is, you know, without the Second Amendment, I wouldn't be alive.
00:02:22.000 Absolutely.
00:02:23.000 The Second Amendment saved me.
00:02:25.000 Like, if I didn't have that rifle to defend myself against those attackers, I would be dead.
00:02:31.000 And it's so critically important that people recognize that and realize that the Second Amendment saves people's lives every single day.
00:02:39.000 Absolutely.
00:02:40.000 And you're living proof of that.
00:02:43.000 And so you have a couple announcements that you want to make here on this program.
00:02:47.000 Yep.
00:02:48.000 And the first of which is let's kind of talk about what you could talk about with the lawsuit stuff.
00:02:52.000 Let's start there.
00:02:53.000 So are you able to talk a little bit about the lawsuit stuff?
00:02:57.000 Well, what I will say is that we hired Todd McMurtry, Nick Sandman's attorney, to help with these lawsuits and that we're going to be taking on some cases really soon.
00:03:10.000 You know, I'm just saying, but new report out, Kyle.
00:03:14.000 LeBron James is a billionaire now.
00:03:16.000 Oh, just, I don't know if that's helpful.
00:03:19.000 I don't know if that might be something that you guys might want to take a look at, but he could definitely pay.
00:03:25.000 LeBron's got a lot of money.
00:03:28.000 And then the other thing is, I was actually in, I was actually in Texas a couple weeks ago touring a couple campuses.
00:03:36.000 Dave has some really good friends out there.
00:03:38.000 So we went out there and they're really connected with Texas AM and toured the campus.
00:03:44.000 So he's ready to make it.
00:03:49.000 Wow, everybody, it's a big deal.
00:03:51.000 Right here in the Charlie Kirk show.
00:03:53.000 Kyle Rittenhouse is announcing that he's an Aggie.
00:03:56.000 So I'm going to be going there.
00:03:58.000 It's going to be awesome.
00:03:59.000 Beautiful campus, amazing people, amazing food.
00:04:04.000 We went to Dixie's Chicken there.
00:04:07.000 Best burgers I've ever heard.
00:04:08.000 That's why he's going.
00:04:09.000 Dixie's chicken, everybody.
00:04:10.000 Now, you know what they say at AM?
00:04:13.000 They say, gigum.
00:04:14.000 Gigam.
00:04:14.000 And you know how they say hello?
00:04:16.000 They say, howdy.
00:04:16.000 Howdy.
00:04:17.000 So there you go.
00:04:19.000 And so you're going to, you're going to be, are you going to join the Corps of Cadets?
00:04:22.000 I haven't decided yet.
00:04:24.000 I may.
00:04:25.000 You know what you should, you know what Kyle should do?
00:04:27.000 You should become Yell Leader at Texas AM.
00:04:29.000 Do you know what the Yell Leader is?
00:04:32.000 What is the Yell Leader?
00:04:33.000 So the Yell Leader, I actually have known, I know a Yell Leader by the name of Jonathan.
00:04:37.000 He's a good guy.
00:04:37.000 So the Yell Leader, he is in charge of pumping up the 12th man, which is the crowd at AM at Kyle.
00:04:44.000 I think it's called Kyle Field.
00:04:46.000 Yeah, is that right?
00:04:47.000 At Kyle Field.
00:04:48.000 And the Yell Leader is just kind of like the guy that gets everyone going.
00:04:52.000 You don't really strike me as a Yell Leader, but you should totally try for it.
00:04:55.000 It's like a big deal.
00:04:56.000 You're kind of known as kind of like the, you can look it up.
00:04:58.000 You know who was a Yell Leader?
00:04:59.000 Was Rick Perry was a Yell leader way back when.
00:05:02.000 So if you want to be governor of Texas, you can become a Yell Leader.
00:05:04.000 Oh.
00:05:05.000 I think I may have to look at becoming a Yell Leader.
00:05:08.000 That sounds really fun.
00:05:09.000 So what do I do is I just go to all the football games and I start the chance, right?
00:05:13.000 It's a little bit more involved than that.
00:05:15.000 People can look it up.
00:05:16.000 No, it's called Aggie Yell Leaders, right?
00:05:18.000 It's a big deal.
00:05:20.000 There's one per class.
00:05:22.000 There might be actually a couple now.
00:05:24.000 But it's kind of like this tradition that they've had for a while.
00:05:28.000 And so I love Texas AM.
00:05:29.000 You know who went to AM is Sarah Schmachtenberger.
00:05:33.000 Yeah, one of our team leaders.
00:05:34.000 Oh, yeah, went to AM.
00:05:36.000 So she could come by and she's probably rejoicing.
00:05:37.000 Listen, you get to wear that beautiful uniform when you become a yell leader.
00:05:42.000 You know, I could really pull off that uniform, too.
00:05:45.000 I think it'll really show my eyes, make them glitter.
00:05:48.000 It will.
00:05:48.000 So this is it, right?
00:05:50.000 They're doing that.
00:05:51.000 And so they're kind of like in charge of pumping up the crowd and all that.
00:05:54.000 So AM's a great place.
00:05:56.000 I'm pleased for you, man.
00:05:57.000 It's great.
00:05:58.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:05:58.000 It's going to be awesome.
00:05:59.000 It's going to be an amazing experience where I can go and I can finally get an education.
00:06:03.000 Over the past six months, I've been out having fun, living my life, being a free man.
00:06:09.000 Now it's time to go and get an education, get good grades, and be a good school in life and have fun.
00:06:16.000 Yeah, you totally deserve it, man.
00:06:18.000 AM is a fun place to go to school.
00:06:20.000 Oh, yeah.
00:06:21.000 It is.
00:06:22.000 Yeah, it's going to be awesome.
00:06:23.000 It's going to be a wonderful experience.
00:06:25.000 And my favorite part is I'm going to be able to get an education.
00:06:29.000 So what are you going to be studying?
00:06:31.000 I haven't declared a major yet, and I don't have to.
00:06:35.000 I still have a couple years.
00:06:36.000 I already changed my mind like three times what I wanted to do.
00:06:39.000 I said on your show, I wanted to be a lawyer.
00:06:42.000 Now I want to be a pilot.
00:06:43.000 Pilots, and they got a lot of options there, though.
00:06:47.000 Yep.
00:06:48.000 And you could join our Turning Point USA chapter, which you could always come by.
00:06:51.000 I'm sure you'd be a rock star at our Turning Point USA.
00:06:54.000 Maybe.
00:06:56.000 And they have, as I mentioned, they have the Corps Cadets there.
00:06:58.000 So yeah, I just, I think it's really important that we kind of remember how intense the trial was and kind of how all that was and what you've been through.
00:07:06.000 And kind of as we're debating guns and all of that, it's without your ability to defend yourself, you know, you wouldn't be going to Texas AM.
00:07:14.000 You'd be going somewhere else, unfortunately.
00:07:17.000 And so, yeah, I just think it's really important that we remember that and we ponder that.
00:07:22.000 And, you know, we look at this kind of whole nationwide debate right now around firearms and around guns.
00:07:29.000 I just think we have to remember that, you know, there's evil in this world.
00:07:34.000 Absolutely.
00:07:34.000 Self-defense is a human right.
00:07:36.000 Absolutely.
00:07:37.000 Self-defense is a God-given right.
00:07:39.000 Yeah, it really is.
00:07:40.000 And so, all right, well, let's take some questions from our audience here.
00:07:43.000 You okay with that?
00:07:43.000 Yeah, let's take some questions.
00:07:45.000 All right, I'll answer them and you answer them.
00:07:46.000 How about this one?
00:07:47.000 So let me do this one.
00:07:50.000 How early do you wake up?
00:07:52.000 It depends on the day.
00:07:53.000 Today I woke up at 8:30.
00:07:55.000 Yesterday I woke up at noon.
00:07:58.000 Okay, so it's a sliding scale.
00:08:00.000 So I'm sure, you know, in college, it'll be probably very similar.
00:08:04.000 Most of the time, because I fly early in the morning, I wake up at 4:30.
00:08:09.000 Can you sleep on planes?
00:08:11.000 I can, but not when I'm flying.
00:08:13.000 Oh, you mean when you get your pilot?
00:08:14.000 Yeah.
00:08:14.000 When you're doing your pilot's deal.
00:08:16.000 Okay.
00:08:16.000 I don't think my instructor would be very happy if I followed it.
00:08:19.000 I thought you meant as a passenger.
00:08:21.000 Yeah, as a passenger, I sleep in the plane.
00:08:23.000 Okay.
00:08:23.000 Yes, some people can't sleep on planes.
00:08:25.000 So, you're actively trying to get your pilot's license.
00:08:27.000 Yeah.
00:08:28.000 How is that going?
00:08:28.000 I'll have my private pilot license in July.
00:08:32.000 Really?
00:08:32.000 Yep.
00:08:33.000 How many hours do you have to do to put into that to get that?
00:08:35.000 You have to get 40 hours.
00:08:37.000 I'm at about 20, 25 hours.
00:08:39.000 What have you been flying?
00:08:40.000 I've been flying a Cessna Skyhawk 172.
00:08:44.000 That's amazing.
00:08:45.000 What's the thing that you've learned that, like the thing that just stands out that you learned just about navigation, aviation?
00:08:52.000 The thing I've learned about aviation actually is not to panic if you do something wrong, to always fly the aircraft.
00:09:00.000 Just fly the plane and do that first before you do the next thing and just take a deep breath and something goes wrong.
00:09:08.000 So we were doing a stall training and I pulled the yoke up way too back and I didn't have the ball centered and we started to go into a spin and that was a little scary, but thankfully you had an instructor to kind of yeah.
00:09:21.000 And I learned you use rudder, like opposite of the spin and then throttle and how that stall and spin.
00:09:29.000 That's amazing.
00:09:30.000 It is awesome to see kind of people that get into aviation and really start to kind of understand it.
00:09:38.000 And so you think you might have a career?
00:09:40.000 Oh, yeah, I love it.
00:09:41.000 Flying is the best thing in the world.
00:09:43.000 What I love most about flying is the freedom I have just up there in the clouds.
00:09:49.000 There's nothing like it.
00:09:51.000 Seeing God's creation and just enjoying it, enjoying how the airplane flies and being in control of that plane.
00:10:02.000 I love it.
00:10:02.000 It's just the best thing in the entire planet.
00:10:07.000 Have you looked at how much of Russia is inside your 401k or IRA?
00:10:11.000 Did you know my friends at PAX Financial Group have zero investments in Russia through their biblical investment strategy?
00:10:17.000 Those companies were screened out long ago because they didn't pass the treat people right test.
00:10:21.000 One of the most important tenets of the Christian faith is to love your neighbor, and this includes to love your employees.
00:10:26.000 Based on PAX's biblical responsible investment strategy, a company, domestic or international, is excluded from an investment from your portfolio if it violates our innate God-given fundamental rights.
00:10:37.000 So PAX Financial is wonderful.
00:10:39.000 They share our values.
00:10:40.000 In fact, I know people that have switched to PAX Financial from our partnership, and they speak so favorably about it.
00:10:46.000 Stop using the woke money managers.
00:10:49.000 PAX Financial is rooted in biblical wisdom.
00:10:53.000 So if you have $150,000 or more and would like to know more about biblical responsible investing at PAX Financial Group, text Charlie to number 74868.
00:11:03.000 That's Charlie at number 74868.
00:11:06.000 That's Charlie to number 74868.
00:11:10.000 So you just take out your phone, text the number 74868, and type in Charlie to get to know about PAX Biblical Responsible Investing, biblical responsible investing strategy.
00:11:22.000 Take out your phone, text Charlie to 74868.
00:11:27.000 They're about to manage some money for me.
00:11:29.000 I really think highly of PAX Financial.
00:11:31.000 Text Charlie to number 74868.
00:11:36.000 Yeah, so while I was on trial, I announced that I was going to not Texas AM, ASU.
00:11:46.000 I remember.
00:11:46.000 And I said on the stand, and then they came out immediately.
00:11:50.000 They're like, no, no, he doesn't come here.
00:11:52.000 They force withdrew me from classes.
00:11:54.000 They didn't refund any of the money that I paid for the classes.
00:11:58.000 And then once I was acquitted, they protested me.
00:12:01.000 The school opened an investigation against me.
00:12:04.000 And it's just ridiculous.
00:12:06.000 Like, so what I had to go through at ASU just to try and get a fair education is ridiculous.
00:12:12.000 No, no, it's outrageous.
00:12:14.000 No American should ever have to go through that.
00:12:16.000 No, we're going to work to get your money back.
00:12:18.000 And then if we have a new governor, we've got to make some changes at ASU.
00:12:22.000 I'll tell you what.
00:12:22.000 This is, you know, I live in Arizona, as you well know.
00:12:24.000 We're not going to put up with it.
00:12:25.000 It's a waste of time.
00:12:27.000 Okay.
00:12:28.000 So, Kyle, we have a question here: freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:12:32.000 Are you able to date?
00:12:34.000 Yes.
00:12:34.000 Since the Women's Summit, 2,500 options.
00:12:38.000 So, actually, I do have a girlfriend.
00:12:39.000 She's actually a TPUSA girl.
00:12:42.000 That's a big deal.
00:12:43.000 I think I know who you're talking about.
00:12:45.000 Not going to say any names.
00:12:46.000 For the internet salutes out there, you could try to figure it out.
00:12:49.000 So tell us about her.
00:12:51.000 Well, she's amazing.
00:12:52.000 I was actually with her a couple days ago at Lake Gaston.
00:12:55.000 She got up on a wakeboard for the first time and she absolutely shredded it and did better than me.
00:13:01.000 I hate to admit that, but I don't know what happened there.
00:13:05.000 See, he's honest.
00:13:07.000 That's great.
00:13:08.000 And so you're officially dating somebody.
00:13:10.000 Yes, sir.
00:13:11.000 That's amazing.
00:13:12.000 And so that you just now made 2,500 young women really upset.
00:13:17.000 My apologies.
00:13:18.000 That's all right.
00:13:20.000 But no, we're really happy with you.
00:13:21.000 And it's major news, everybody.
00:13:23.000 It's major news, Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:13:24.000 We'll be in headlines tomorrow, Charlie.
00:13:26.000 It's going to be all over.
00:13:27.000 Breaking.
00:13:27.000 Breaking news.
00:13:28.000 Kyle Rittenhouse dates TPUSA Charlie Kirk girl.
00:13:32.000 Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
00:13:34.000 That's what I was going to say.
00:13:35.000 Just TPUSA.
00:13:36.000 Kyle Rittenhouse dates TPUSA.
00:13:39.000 There you go.
00:13:39.000 Yeah, he dates the whole organization.
00:13:42.000 We're not going to put Kyle in charge of PR.
00:13:44.000 What do you think?
00:13:45.000 No.
00:13:45.000 But it'll be Texas AM.
00:13:47.000 It'll be all of that.
00:13:48.000 But no, Kyle, I think that I speak for a lot of our audience that, you know, people really feel like they got to know you throughout the last year.
00:13:56.000 And people kind of saw in you a lot of their kids, their grandkids, and themselves of just kind of the falsely accused and an unbelievably aggressive prosecution, right?
00:14:08.000 Like where the government has incredible power.
00:14:11.000 And your case was kind of a guilty until proven innocent case.
00:14:16.000 You almost had to prove your innocence.
00:14:17.000 Oh, yeah, absolutely.
00:14:19.000 The prosecutor in this case tried to take away my rights.
00:14:22.000 He did stuff to videos by like altering them.
00:14:26.000 Altering videos, changing stuff in them, then trying to use them, lying to the courts, and just prosecutorial overreach.
00:14:35.000 Yes.
00:14:36.000 And what we need to take away prosecutors' immunity, qualified immunity, because he needs to pay for what he did.
00:14:44.000 Is this Lunchbox or Binger?
00:14:45.000 This is both of them.
00:14:46.000 Both of them.
00:14:48.000 They're both just absolutely terrible.
00:14:50.000 And so this is interesting because we're kind of living through this moment where we're not really appreciating kind of the presumption of innocence and due process and kind of the ability to be able to defend oneself.
00:15:02.000 And you did this successfully.
00:15:04.000 And you were able to kind of push back against a hyper-aggressive government that wanted you in prison badly to try to score cheap political points regardless of the consequences.
00:15:17.000 Yeah.
00:15:18.000 So everybody has the right to defend themselves, defend their life, and then defend themselves in court.
00:15:24.000 Binger didn't want me to defend myself at all.
00:15:28.000 He tried to get the names of my donors from that donator, Free Kyle USA.
00:15:35.000 Wow.
00:15:35.000 There's so much corruption that went on in that office.
00:15:38.000 And it really, it just hurts.
00:15:40.000 It's kind of disturbing that a government agency can do that to answer.
00:15:46.000 The good news is that, you know, your whole story, Kyle, is the Constitution at its best, from self-defense to due process.
00:15:54.000 You know, we'll see what happens, everybody, with Kyle Rittenhouse and these lawsuits.
00:15:58.000 I don't know.
00:15:59.000 We'll see what happens.
00:16:00.000 I just have to say, I'll just remind Kyle's team.
00:16:03.000 Just remind them, LeBron James is a billionaire.
00:16:06.000 Just in case you guys forgot.
00:16:08.000 And accountability is coming.
00:16:10.000 So if you want to be updated on things, go to tmap.org.
00:16:14.000 Say that again.
00:16:15.000 Tmap.org.

00:16:18.000 Yep.

00:16:20.000 T-M-A-P.org, which is the media accountability project.
00:16:25.000 And they could donate to support there.

00:17:35.000 There's a question from Brooke.
00:17:36.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:17:36.000 You mentioned liking the Netflix series Ozark several podcasts ago, and if I'm not mistaken, it was just a side-on to all that would happen in Netflix diminishing ratings as of late.
00:17:44.000 I decided to check it out, and I enjoy new dramas and thrills to an extent.
00:17:49.000 I am only a few episodes into season one, and while I actually enjoy the storyline and plot, it does seem to contain, hold on one second, contain all the modern-day adult content, language, sex, nudity, violence, et cetera, that most drama series do.
00:18:02.000 After mulling it over, I want to ask your opinion on Christians watching such content.
00:18:06.000 This is really not about Ozark specifically, but Ozark did ignite a spark of all movies and shows that provide such content.
00:18:12.000 Please do not misunderstand my question as stemming from judgment from a place of genuine sincerity.
00:18:16.000 It's beautifully written.
00:18:17.000 Thank you.
00:18:18.000 I know we are here to walk in our convictions with fear and trembling, and one person's convictions may or may not be another's.
00:18:24.000 But I know the Bible also empathizes being holy as he is holy.
00:18:27.000 How do you reconcile what you watch and hear back to the Bible?
00:18:30.000 Is it just a matter of fast-forwarding certain scenes or actually watching them because they are not your convictions?
00:18:35.000 Again, this is said with complete sincerity.
00:18:37.000 Thank you for your potential response.
00:18:39.000 I very much enjoy your podcast and listen just about every day.
00:18:42.000 God bless TPSA and all the work you're called to do.
00:18:44.000 Cheers, Brooke.
00:18:45.000 What a great question.
00:18:46.000 So I'll take kind of the Ozark question in particular.
00:18:50.000 And look, this is a struggle that I have, and I think a lot of other people have, which is kind of where do you draw the line between the content that you consume when it might be filled with all this other bad language and potentially sexually explicit scenes and also trying to find some form of entertainment or appreciation of art.
00:19:12.000 And it's a kind of a constant struggle.
00:19:13.000 So I've developed a couple rules for myself, which is I don't watch it alone.
00:19:17.000 I'll watch it with my wife.
00:19:18.000 And if we feel that the smuttiness or the nonsense of it just reaches such a threshold, we just turn it off.
00:19:23.000 Now, I'll be very honest.
00:19:25.000 Ozark is an exception to my general rule.
00:19:28.000 Ozark, first of all, the last season was absolutely dreadful and awful.
00:19:32.000 It ended terribly.
00:19:33.000 So don't waste your time.
00:19:34.000 But the first and second and third season of Ozark, I think, is some of the best written television that I have seen outside of the smuttiness and the gross, awful nature of some of the content.
00:19:44.000 But the actual storyline of what will you do with your family?
00:19:47.000 Will you descend?
00:19:48.000 How far can you descend into darkness?
00:19:50.000 You stop yourself on the moral continuum is legitimately very, very well-written art and very real moral situations that I think people find themselves in on a daily basis.
00:20:00.000 And so, the question is: kind of where do you strike that balance?
00:20:02.000 You have to pray for wisdom and prudence.
00:20:04.000 And so, when I watch Ozark, I'm not like super excited that they're swearing every other word.
00:20:08.000 I mean, Ruth Langmore in the series, you literally can't see a scene where she's not saying, AF this and F that.
00:20:14.000 Like, she just gets to be almost overkill.
00:20:16.000 In fact, it got to this, got to the point that actually in the last season, I said, Did she say anything else besides a swear word to just open up every single sentence?
00:20:23.000 It just kind of became this running joke and almost became unenjoyable to watch.
00:20:28.000 But I think, I suppose, a better kind of example of kind of where do you draw the line is kind of like a series such as Breaking Bad.
00:20:35.000 I think Breaking Bad has some very strong kind of some very strong arguments that could be made within the series that question kind of how does one breaking bad and Ozark are similar in the sense.
00:20:48.000 How does one control, if at all, the descent into darkness?
00:20:52.000 Does the end justify the means?
00:20:54.000 These are very, you know, clear moral questions.
00:20:56.000 And this is a question kind of in art in general, right?
00:21:00.000 So, this is something where someone asked me, Hey, Charlie, why do you recommend 1984?
00:21:05.000 It has a sex scene in it.
00:21:07.000 And I get that.
00:21:08.000 And the question is, does the art potentially justify enduring the smut?
00:21:13.000 That's the question you have to ask, which is, does the, and what is art, right?
00:21:17.000 The art is the portrayal of what is good, true, or beautiful in a way that can communicate it and hopefully develop your soul and create a better person.
00:21:25.000 And so, in the case of either Breaking Bad or Ozark or House of Cards, where they have these kind of violent scenes and the stuff that could be rather unenjoyable, I'm not saying that you should support it, but there can be an argument, at least in my personal life, where I don't support it.
00:21:39.000 I might fast-forward through certain scenes of it, I might skip ahead, but there is some beautiful, I think, writing happening that can portray a broader kind of moral paradigm, right?
00:21:53.000 And here's the problem: most Christian films and most Christian content that is Christian explicit, their writing is awful and their production value is terrible.
00:22:02.000 It just is.
00:22:03.000 Now, the chosen, I actually think, is an exception to that.
00:22:06.000 But I even get hate mail when I plug the chosen because people say, Charlie, it's extra biblical and it's inferring things that Jesus said.
00:22:13.000 Again, I have kind of a mixed opinion.
00:22:15.000 I could see it both ways.
00:22:17.000 But I think for parents out there, you're probably going through the very same struggle that I go through because I try to police what I consume.
00:22:22.000 I think you become what you consume from music to the things you look at to the television shows.
00:22:28.000 And so, I make no qualms about it.
00:22:30.000 Breaking Bad to House of Cards to Ozark, which are three shows that I'm very familiar with and that I think have some, let's just say, some lessons that could be learned from a house of cards to a lesser extent.
00:22:44.000 That's kind of just drivel post-season one.
00:22:46.000 You have to look at it first and from an adult context and you ask yourself, what is the goal?
00:22:51.000 Being entertained is part of the goal.
00:22:52.000 But if you feel as if it pushes yourself to boundaries where you ask yourself the question, what would I do in a situation like this?
00:22:58.000 Could I ever see myself?
00:22:59.000 I mean, look, part of the attraction of the writing in the film, in the movie, the TV series Ozark, until it kind of went off the reservation when it went kind of in just this incredibly morally confusing bend towards the end, the worst ending of a television show I've ever seen, period, made Game of Thrones ending look good, which is this question of you could see an aspirational kind of suburban money manager like Marty Bird making this kind of sequence of choices.
00:23:26.000 Oh, yeah, I just want to make a little money.
00:23:27.000 I'll take the meeting.
00:23:28.000 The next thing you know, you're laundering money for the Mexican drug cartel.
00:23:32.000 And all of a sudden, it's kind of the small sins become the big sins.
00:23:35.000 Now, for some of you, say, Charlie, I don't need to listen to a bunch of people swearing or look at scenes of Strippers to get that lesson.
00:23:41.000 That's fine.
00:23:42.000 I totally get it.
00:23:43.000 However, All of that aside, and you kind of all of that put kind of in its own category on its own shelving.
00:23:52.000 I think it's one of the most compelling pieces of drama and art that really challenge the viewer to be like, Hey, you better be very careful because you all of a sudden might be end up in a place that you might not recognize or realize.
00:24:04.000 So, anyway, all that aside, I think you have to, um, I think you have to have your own standards, you have to understand what is the intent of consuming that art.
00:24:11.000 I won't defend it.
00:24:12.000 I got another really angry email about Ozark from a listener.
00:24:15.000 I totally get it.
00:24:16.000 I'm not going to defend the content, I'll say, but I will kind of challenge you to say that finding things that are telling stories that might improve your own character or challenge you or written creatively, I think is something that, done in the proper context, can be helpful.
00:24:32.000 And look, you're fooling yourself if you are saying you could totally shield yourself from every swear word or every piece of nonsense in the world.
00:24:40.000 With that being said, you shouldn't have the intent, the heart to try to overexpose yourself in those things, find enjoyment in them instead, see if there's a bigger picture you could take away from there.
00:24:49.000 Thank you.
00:24:49.000 Beautiful question.
00:24:50.000 Spent a little more time on that than I would have expected, but thank you for that question.
00:24:53.000 Okay.
00:24:54.000 Hello, my name is Hannah Jones, and I'm 13 years old.
00:24:57.000 I'm in ninth grade.
00:24:57.000 And as a homeschooler, I have a question, okay to air, by the way.
00:25:00.000 Do you believe President Biden should be impeached or criminally charged?
00:25:03.000 If so, with what?
00:25:04.000 How should vaccines in Afghanistan have been handled?
00:25:06.000 I'm not going to talk about the vaccine in Afghanistan stuff.
00:25:09.000 We talked a lot about early treatments and all that.
00:25:10.000 I will say this, though.
00:25:12.000 I don't think we should try to impeach Joe Biden.
00:25:13.000 I think that's largely a waste of time.
00:25:15.000 We should try to impeach his cabinet.
00:25:17.000 I think that is the best use of time.
00:25:18.000 I think we should impeach Merrick Garland and impeach that guy that runs the Department of Education for a breach of duty and pushing back against basically what they were sworn to protect and preserve.
00:25:29.000 I think that's a much better use of time.
00:25:32.000 And thank you, Hannah, for your question.
00:25:33.000 I deeply appreciate that.
00:25:35.000 Okay.
00:25:36.000 Let's go here to this question.
00:25:40.000 Cindy from Sun City, Arizona.
00:25:42.000 It appears Congress wants to take away an 18-year-old's right to own a gun or rifle.
00:25:46.000 Should they also take away their right to vote?
00:25:48.000 Just thinking, evidently, they don't trust an 18-year-old anymore.
00:25:51.000 And why would that be?
00:25:52.000 Now, I do support 18-year-olds' right to vote.
00:25:54.000 However, let's just be very clear: if 18-year-old, if the voting age was raised to 21, Republicans would win a lot more elections.
00:26:01.000 I don't support it.
00:26:02.000 I actually think 18-year-olds should be able to vote because I think these all look, and so this is a very interesting argument.
00:26:07.000 And I don't quite know how I feel about it, but to be philosophically consistent, it's difficult, which I do think that it's interesting, which is the drinking age, right?
00:26:18.000 So, you can serve in the military, you could buy a firearm, you could vote.
00:26:22.000 So, basically, and also the other reason around 18, just so we're very clear, and some people say it's arbitrary, but you have to pick a date, you have to pick a time.
00:26:30.000 You become an adult when you're 18.
00:26:32.000 When you are 18, you can no longer be charged as a minor.
00:26:35.000 Juvenile courts end you become an adult.
00:26:39.000 From my very basic understanding of the law, when you're 18, you can emancipate yourself from your parents.
00:26:45.000 You are no longer under guardianship or parental control when you become 18.
00:26:53.000 And so, with all that being said, if we want to now define what an adult is and go to 21, then you have to also change voting alongside of it, which they're not going to do.
00:27:02.000 You have to change firearm around, and then you also have to change military service.
00:27:08.000 And that's not going to happen because the steady flow of recruitment into the United States military are largely 18-year-olds predominantly that want to kind of break out of their family or their community and want to do something right in their 18.
00:27:20.000 Like they're 18, they feel like they want to get their life back on track in the military, and they want to serve their country.
00:27:25.000 Obviously, it's not negative in any way, but that I think would heavily impact military recruitment if all of a sudden you said you're 20, you're not, you can only serve when you're 21.
00:27:35.000 So the question is, if you think you're, if you are willing to send somebody to Ukraine or Iraq or Afghanistan to defend your freedoms, shouldn't they also be able to own a gun here domestically and to vote?
00:27:45.000 The question is, when does someone become an adult?
00:27:47.000 If we want to broaden that and we say, hey, if someone does not become an adult till they're 25, then you must fix all the other correlated issues alongside of it.
00:27:54.000 You cannot have those kind of inherent contradictions.
00:27:58.000 Okay, let's go to this one here.
00:28:01.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:28:02.000 Did you know that federally funded TSA has a gun safety carry-on, gun safety carry-on plane program that major airline pilots can sign up for and then conceal carry onto their flights?
00:28:12.000 Yep.
00:28:12.000 Any pilot, preferably former military, they must prefer former military, can sign up and get training necessary to carry and thus further protected their passengers.
00:28:21.000 Interesting that teachers aren't offered the same opportunity by the same governments.
00:28:25.000 Am I right?
00:28:26.000 That's such a good point.
00:28:26.000 And yes, I did know that.
00:28:28.000 Now, I got a very, very smart email, though.
00:28:31.000 I got to tell you, we have the best listeners.
00:28:33.000 I love you guys.
00:28:35.000 He said, Charlie, I got to ask you a question.
00:28:38.000 Why would we want to arm the teachers that I keep on seeing on Libs of TikTok?
00:28:44.000 It's such a good point.
00:28:46.000 It's such a beautiful point, which is all of these left-wing teachers that we bash on this program, the kind of trans people, like, I don't know if you should have a firearm in your class.
00:28:56.000 I don't think that's a good idea.
00:28:58.000 Which is, so I'm a little bit increasingly mixed on it.
00:29:02.000 And so, yeah, I mean, that's not a slight against it.
00:29:07.000 But I think if you got to arm a teacher, you got to go through training.
00:29:10.000 You got to go through rigor.
00:29:11.000 You got to go through a fair amount of, let's just say, immersion into what a firearm is and how to use it.
00:29:22.000 So there's some teachers.
00:29:23.000 I don't teach them teaching.
00:29:25.000 I don't know.
00:29:27.000 So that's a very smart point.
00:29:28.000 He said, Charlie, I'm a little torn.
00:29:29.000 He said, based on everything you've been telling me about teachers, I don't think I want them to have a nine millimeter in their drawer.
00:29:35.000 It's something to think about.
00:29:39.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:31:43.000 Rob from Huntsville, what is the most compelling argument for having Trump be the 2024 Republican candidate?
00:31:48.000 I hear so many people talking about DeSantis, but I still think Trump is who I trust to lead conservatives.
00:31:52.000 We took the poll, Trump versus DeSantis, here, and Trump did win.
00:31:55.000 I would say he won probably 60% of the vote.
00:31:57.000 We tapped, we did a, I mean, it was thousands and thousands and thousands, so we did a little bit of a spot test, and it was uh, it was Trump, 60%.
00:32:05.000 And so, what is one of the arguments that I think we have to talk about, though, is you know, Paul Ryan is out here admonishing people.
00:32:15.000 This is so, this is so hard.
00:32:16.000 I'll be very honest, this is very tough, tough for me.
00:32:19.000 I feel like it's just the different lives I've lived.
00:32:21.000 Paul Ryan tears into fellow Republicans who didn't have the guts to impeach Trump.
00:32:25.000 I used to be the biggest Paul Ryan fan, I was like the nerd-out Paul Ryan fan.
00:32:32.000 I thought he was the guy.
00:32:34.000 It's like that scene in Star Wars where Obi-Wan Kenobi is screaming at Anakin, You were the chosen.
00:32:45.000 And he says, His hair is a mess and he's sweating.
00:32:47.000 He's on the volcano, right?
00:32:50.000 And Anakin's arms and legs have just been cut off.
00:32:53.000 And he's like, You were supposed to be the one.
00:32:57.000 Cut 100, Paul Ryan, play tape.
00:33:01.000 Hey, this is Paul Ryan.
00:33:02.000 I am here in Florence, South Carolina, campaigning for my good friend Tom Rice, a man who deserves re-election.
00:33:09.000 Look, there are two kinds of people in Congress: workhorses and show horses, entertainers, policymakers.
00:33:15.000 Tom Rice is a workhorse.
00:33:17.000 He's a policymaker.
00:33:18.000 He's a person who is in a very good spot to make a big difference for South Carolinians.
00:33:22.000 He's a senior member of the Ways and Means Committee.
00:33:24.000 He's going to have a huge impact when we get the majority.
00:33:27.000 So I just encourage everybody to support a hardworking, principled conservative, Tom Rice, the man that I know in Congress who thinks every day, what can I do to solve my constituents' problems?
00:33:39.000 That's who Tom Rice is.
00:33:40.000 That's why he deserves your support in reelection.
00:33:43.000 First of all, I mean, I don't know if something's wrong.
00:33:46.000 Paul Ryan looks like hell.
00:33:47.000 He does not look good.
00:33:48.000 I mean, does not, I mean, I don't know what's going on with that.
00:33:51.000 But secondly, I used to love the man.
00:33:54.000 And I was a huge Paul Ryan fan.
00:33:56.000 And I still, I hear his voice, and I actually can feel almost the kind of neuroplasticity in my brain because I was programmed to like him so much.
00:34:06.000 Like, yes, we're going to outwonk the left.
00:34:09.000 We're going to outthink them.
00:34:12.000 We are going to kind of have better policy.
00:34:17.000 What was Paul Ryan like?
00:34:18.000 Play the Anakin clip.
00:34:22.000 You were the chosen one.
00:34:26.000 It was said that you would destroy this and not join them.
00:34:31.000 Bring balance to the falls.
00:34:33.000 Not leave it in darkness.
00:34:37.000 That was Paul Ryan.
00:34:38.000 He was the chosen one.
00:34:41.000 What is the positive of Trump?
00:34:43.000 We don't have to deal with any of these guys in term two.
00:34:45.000 We know them all.
00:34:46.000 They've all revealed themselves.
00:34:48.000 Paul Ryan is campaigning, by the way, in that clip for Tom Rice, who tried to impeach Donald Trump, who called Trump a tyrant.
00:34:56.000 What is the positive of the second term Trump?
00:34:58.000 We know who's with Trump.
00:34:59.000 The people are now in charge.
00:35:01.000 And the other point that I want to make clear: we have infrastructure now.
00:35:05.000 There's legitimate infrastructure around the America First Movement.
00:35:09.000 There's real allies that are going to be going to Congress, like JD Vance.
00:35:14.000 There's real organizations that are now positioned around these policies that are very popular.
00:35:18.000 When Donald Trump came in 2016, there was no infrastructure from donors to think tanks to Tucker Carlson was not even on the air.
00:35:28.000 I want you to think about that.
00:35:29.000 Tucker Carlson did not have his program when Donald Trump won in 2016.
00:35:34.000 It was the O'Reilly factor.
00:35:35.000 I love Bill O'Reilly, but it's a separate philosophical approach to politics where Tucker Carlson is now the spokesperson and the leader on it.
00:35:42.000 So, what exists now is real infrastructure, a real way to hold people accountable.
00:35:47.000 And there is no constituency for Paul Ryan.
00:35:50.000 There is not a constituency for Mitt Romney, who, of course, they ran together.
00:35:54.000 And yeah, I was a huge fan of his.
00:35:55.000 I loved his kind of wonkiness.
00:35:57.000 I was so naive to believe we could take back America through major policy debates on the equilibrium of trade policy and Medicare and Social Security.
00:36:08.000 All that is important.
00:36:09.000 I think there's a place for that.
00:36:11.000 But we are wartime conservatives.
00:36:13.000 We better realize what time it is.
00:36:15.000 I know you do.
00:36:18.000 Where Joe Biden is withholding school lunch funding if they do not comply with transgender chemical castration.
00:36:24.000 Yeah, this is not a big policy debate, Paul Ryan.
00:36:27.000 That debate is over.
00:36:29.000 We want our country back.
00:36:30.000 It's a different country.
00:36:32.000 And you were the chosen one.
00:36:33.000 What is the benefit of Donald Trump?
00:36:36.000 Term two, we don't have to deal with any of these people.
00:36:38.000 They've either self-selected, retired, and the real allies are going to be in Congress.
00:36:42.000 It's a very, very big deal.
00:36:46.000 Thank you so much for listening, everybody.
