00:02:20.000 You guys can email us directly, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:02:25.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com, where I take your questions.
00:02:28.000 So let's do it.
00:02:29.000 Let's get right into it.
00:02:31.000 People are emailing us lots of different questions.
00:02:34.000 Okay, let's go here.
00:02:35.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:02:36.000 It seems fairly likely that there will be at least some illegal aliens that will be made citizens.
00:02:41.000 What are some ways that conservatives can start marketing themselves to these people?
00:02:45.000 If they are going to vote, they might as well vote red.
00:02:47.000 Thanks for taking the question, Grace.
00:02:49.000 We got a similar question a couple days ago about this, which is, shouldn't we grant amnesty in exchange for border security?
00:02:54.000 Absolutely not.
00:02:56.000 No.
00:02:56.000 Amnesty under no circumstances we should support.
00:02:59.000 First of all, they would just promise us border security and it would never actually happen.
00:03:04.000 But it is absolutely completely immoral to reward blatant law breaking.
00:03:09.000 It's not just the breaking of the law across the border, but for the adults that broke into our country and continued to live illegally, harboring themselves in the interior of our country, every day they were here was breaking the law.
00:03:28.000 Now, some people say, Charlie, where's your compassion?
00:03:30.000 Our compassion is built into our legal immigration system.
00:03:34.000 You see, part of the calculus of how we design an immigration system should be about protecting American workers first and foremost, protecting American citizens, trying to have a vibrant American middle class.
00:03:50.000 And then, since we do have Abundant wealth and resources, a small component can be say, okay, we will take some immigrants if there's a war-torn country.
00:04:07.000 And there's been a lot of good scholarship about the scam of refugee resettlement, resettlement, such as how it plays on the system and how it's not what it's supposed to be.
00:04:17.000 But the point is, we already have based into our system the most compassionate and I would argue overly generous immigration system in the country.
00:04:26.000 And this is why last spring I said that we should have a moratorium on all new people coming into the country.
00:04:33.000 What about our recent college grads?
00:04:35.000 What about our recent high school graduates that cannot find jobs?
00:04:41.000 Our immigration policies right now disenfranchise them.
00:04:45.000 But the question was: what can we do to win over illegals that are given amnesty?
00:04:53.000 It's not an easy question to answer, but I do believe that Hispanics and Latinos, and by the way, we have our Young Latino Leadership Summit coming up here in Phoenix, if anyone wants to attend, are more conservative than they are liberal, especially on issues of values issues, morals, pro-life, pro-marriage, anti-rioting, not at all in favor of BLM Incorporated, pro-entrepreneurship,
00:05:22.000 pro-small business.
00:05:24.000 So I believe that the Hispanic and Latino community can be won over on conservative values.
00:05:29.000 Do I think that's a reason to relax our immigration laws?
00:05:32.000 Absolutely not, in no way whatsoever.
00:05:35.000 So, great question.
00:05:37.000 We're getting a lot more questions here.
00:05:38.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.

00:05:56.000 Here's one right here.
00:05:58.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:05:59.000 How do we grab more of the share of higher education and culture?
00:06:03.000 Do conservatives open up their own colleges?
00:06:05.000 Do conservatives open up their own studios like the Daily Wire is doing?
00:06:09.000 Thanks so much, Jeff.
00:06:10.000 Jeff, great question.
00:06:10.000 Well, that's part of what we're trying to do here on the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:06:13.000 And when you guys support us at charliekirk.com/slash support, you guys allow us to continue to do it.
00:06:20.000 The answer is yes.
00:06:21.000 Hillsdale is a great college.
00:06:23.000 There's a few others that do a wonderful job, but not enough.
00:06:27.000 We need to take back cultural terrain everywhere we possibly can across the country.
00:06:33.000 One of the big problems is that we are always on the left's terms.
00:06:38.000 We are always contesting on their terrain.
00:06:44.000 They're always the ones that are defining the rules of engagement.
00:06:48.000 So, how do we grab more of the share of higher education and culture?
00:06:51.000 I have three moonshot ideas that are somewhat provocative that I believe can save the country quickly.
00:06:59.000 Number one, we must double the homeschooling population in the next five years, double it.
00:07:05.000 Give financial assistance where necessary, curriculum assistance, create co-ops.
00:07:10.000 We must double the homeschooling population.
00:07:13.000 Number two, we must make sure young people marry earlier.
00:07:21.000 Young people waiting till they're 30 or 35 or not getting married at all is a tragedy for our country.
00:07:28.000 And those families need to have many children, lots of kids.
00:07:32.000 And number three is that we must reduce college enrollment significantly.
00:07:38.000 We need less people going to four-year college.
00:07:40.000 This is my next book that will be coming out in August or September where I'm going to make the argument that you should not go to college.
00:07:47.000 Now, maybe if you want to become a doctor, an engineer, or a lawyer, maybe, but that's less than 10% of people that go to college.
00:07:53.000 We have way too many people in America going to college.
00:07:56.000 We need more plumbers, electricians, and carpenters, computer engineers, entrepreneurs, police officers, firefighters, and a lot less people that study North African lesbian poetry or South African migratory bird studies.
00:08:10.000 We need people that, first of all, you know, producer Connor, who does an amazing job, has a degree from an esteemed university, I might add.
00:08:20.000 And he said, when I got my political science degree, we were just taught Plato's Republic and not ever taught Aristotle.
00:08:27.000 Those are his words, and we went through Aristotle in great detail and will continue to because I believe that the more we study the classics, the more we'll understand exactly where we are today.
00:08:36.000 The point is that there's so much that is not taught in these universities that where you think what you're paying for, you're not even getting.
00:08:45.000 So we have a generation of young people that's borrowing money they do not have to study things that don't matter, to find jobs that don't exist, and a cycle of indebtedness.
00:08:56.000 And so those are the three very somewhat provocative objectives that we need to go at.
00:09:00.000 And I understand that homeschooling can be very intimidating for a lot of young families.
00:09:05.000 It could be expensive because you have to remove yourself from the workforce.
00:09:10.000 I would make the argument that it is absolutely the best decision possible.
00:09:17.000 One of the top correlations of making sure that your child remains either a Christian or a conservative or consistent with your viewpoint is homeschooling.
00:09:26.000 Homeschooling used to be something that got a bad rap when I grew up.
00:09:33.000 Like all the nerdy kids were homeschooled with no social skills.
00:09:38.000 I find the exact opposite to be true.
00:09:39.000 They are the wisest, most clear-thinking, most driven, most qualified young people that we deal with at Turning Point USA or here on the Charlie Kirk show.
00:09:52.000 So it's a great question, Jeff.
00:09:54.000 And I'll close with this on that question, which is, we need to think more critically about what institutions that we automatically support.
00:10:03.000 What companies do you purchase products from?
00:10:09.000 What streaming services do you use?
00:10:12.000 What authors do you support?
00:10:14.000 And if they are not consistent with your viewpoint, or if you at least don't believe that they're tolerant of your viewpoint, then maybe it's time to disconnect and seek other pastures.
00:10:23.000 I know a lot of you that support us and email us, freedomatcharlikirk.com.
00:10:27.000 You ask about this a lot.
00:10:29.000 And understand, you have more power than you might think.
00:10:34.000 You have more power in the education of your children, the allocation of your resources, where you spend your money than you might ever imagine.
00:10:47.000 I don't know about you, but I feel like I'm always looking at a screen now more than ever.
00:10:51.000 And whether you're an avid news watcher or in a serious need of a distraction, unplugging yourself is easier said than done.
00:10:58.000 One of my favorite ways to rest my eyes and get the content that I really want, by putting in my Raycon wireless earbuds and listening to something great.
00:11:06.000 I go for walks almost every day.
00:11:07.000 It clears my mind, and Raycon is a great thing to have to listen to your content when you go for walks.
00:11:13.000 No dangling wires or stems to get in the way.
00:11:16.000 Raycons come in a range of stylish colorways, but always with a comfortable in your fit for a more discrete look.
00:11:22.000 Raycons are built to perform, so Raycon's offering 15% off all their products for my listeners.
00:11:27.000 And here's what you got to do.
00:11:28.000 You go to buyraycon.com slash Kirk.
00:11:31.000 That is it.
00:11:32.000 You get 15% off your whole order.
00:11:34.000 Buyraycon.com slash Kirk.
00:11:37.000 That's buyraycon.com slash Kirk.
00:11:43.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:11:43.000 My name is Teddy, a Turning Point USA chapter president.
00:11:46.000 What should I tell students who are scared to join Turning Point USA because they are afraid the school will fail them?
00:11:53.000 Well, I don't think the school will fail them, so I think that fear can probably be addressed.
00:11:58.000 I think more directly, though, your fear is not incorrect.
00:12:04.000 If you get involved with a conservative group, if you get involved with Turning Point USA, you will likely lose many of your friends and you'll become socially targeted.
00:12:15.000 Aren't I a wonderful recruiter for Turning Point by saying this?
00:12:18.000 But our numbers are unbelievable at Turning Point USA.
00:12:21.000 We're starting new chapters, tpusa.com.
00:12:26.000 And one of the main reasons is because this generation, unlike generations before, understand the threat of the left and they're willing to do something about it.
00:12:38.000 And so, Teddy, I first want to say thank you for starting a Turning Point USA chapter.
00:12:43.000 I hope to meet you if I have not met you already.
00:12:46.000 And I apologize, I meet so many of you.
00:12:48.000 We have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of these unbelievable young leaders.
00:12:53.000 And if you're a parent and you're listening, or if you are an adult, you would be so inspired by the students that we have at Turning Point USA.
00:13:01.000 It really is going to save the country.
00:13:03.000 I really believe that.
00:13:05.000 And so, Teddy, to answer your question, though, it's understandable that people will be afraid, but continue to try and advocate and organize and tell your friends, like, look, it's going to get tough.
00:13:17.000 We have a high threshold of what we have to articulate because there's always going to be the label that we're racist or misogynist or sexist or homophobic.
00:13:28.000 But don't allow that to be a reason not to get involved and advocate for pro-American ideas on your high school or your college campus.
00:13:37.000 So God bless you, Teddy.
00:13:38.000 Thank you so much.
00:13:39.000 Okay, let's get to the next question here.
00:13:43.000 Hello, Charlie.
00:13:43.000 I'm a current high school senior who's trying to make the massive decision on whether or not to attend college.
00:13:51.000 If I did, I plan on majoring in political science with the end goal of going to law school and becoming an advocate for constitutional rights in the courtroom.
00:14:00.000 But I also understand that colleges have now become indoctrination camps.
00:14:03.000 It's true.
00:14:04.000 I'm very open to not going to college and getting involved with Turning Point USA or similar organizations.
00:14:10.000 How would you advise me?
00:14:11.000 Thank you so much for all you do.
00:14:13.000 Sincerely, Gabriella.
00:14:14.000 First of all, Gabriella, I'd love to send you a signed copy of my book.
00:14:18.000 Say that five times fast.
00:14:20.000 I'm not going to give you specific advice because I don't know everything about your life.
00:14:23.000 I'll give you some general guidance.
00:14:26.000 Number one, you've already articulated a pretty good reason to go to college to become a lawyer.
00:14:31.000 You need a law degree.
00:14:34.000 Law school is something where you will learn something applicable.
00:14:38.000 You will.
00:14:39.000 Unlike getting a general humanities degree, women's studies, communication, psychology, which is generally a bunch of balderdash.
00:14:49.000 If your goal is to argue for constitutional rights in the courtroom, then you should go to college.
00:14:56.000 So you might say, well, what college should I go to?
00:14:58.000 It depends how confident you are in your conservative beliefs.
00:15:02.000 If you are confident in your conservative beliefs and you are convinced you will not be indoctrinated, then go to the best possible law school you can and graduate as quickly as possible.
00:15:16.000 Now, you obviously have to get an undergraduate degree before you go to law school.
00:15:20.000 But it looks like you have your act together.
00:15:23.000 And so that would be my advice.
00:15:25.000 Do it as economically, feasible as possible.
00:15:29.000 Graduate as quickly as possible.
00:15:31.000 But you already have answered my most important question that I ask young people where they say, should I go to college?
00:15:37.000 I ask, why do you want to go?
00:15:40.000 Here are some bad reasons to go to college.
00:15:42.000 My parents are making me.
00:15:44.000 All my friends are going.
00:15:46.000 It seems like the only option.
00:15:48.000 I have to go to college to get a job, which is not true, and I'll prove it to you.
00:15:53.000 Those are bad reasons.
00:15:55.000 But Gabriella, you have a good reason.
00:15:57.000 You have a specific goal in mind, the protection of constitutional rights in the courtroom.
00:16:02.000 And my goodness, Gabriella, do we need people like you right now?
00:16:06.000 So you have a moral good you're pursuing.
00:16:08.000 There's going to be plenty of demand in law in that arena of law.
00:16:12.000 And you know why you'll be going to college.
00:16:14.000 The only question is which college and how much?
00:16:17.000 Money are you willing to spend.
00:16:20.000 So Gabrielle, I hope that's helpful.
00:16:23.000 But the majority of people will say, I'm not really sure where I want to go.
00:16:26.000 Well, then, before you make any of those decisions, take a pause and maybe take a gap year.
00:16:33.000 Go right into the workforce.
00:16:34.000 Get an internship.
00:16:36.000 Get some credits done, maybe at a local community college.
00:16:38.000 Take a deep breath before you go borrow all of this money into debt.
00:16:43.000 And then all of a sudden you have a liability for the rest of your life.
00:16:50.000 So are you making full use of your savings?
00:16:52.000 Think of the times that you've yearned for better returns.
00:16:55.000 After real inflation, charges, and taxes, are you even making a profit?
00:17:00.000 With food, clothing, and rent all more doubling over the last 10 years, you need to do something different.
00:17:06.000 Gambling on Robinhood or stocks might lose you everything you have.
00:17:10.000 And like thousands of others, you want to retire stress-free.
00:17:14.000 A precious metals IRA with Noble Gold could be the answer you've been looking for.
00:17:18.000 And this month, Noble Gold is gifting a genuine, rare Carson City-minted Morgan silver dollar with every qualifying IRA or 401k.
00:17:26.000 These coins were around in a time when an ounce of silver was worth a dollar.
00:17:31.000 For example, in 1893, a mint condition coin is now worth more than $3,250, a staggering 32,500% increase.
00:17:42.000 That's a return of 2,500% a year.
00:17:45.000 It is a hedge against inflation.
00:17:47.000 We know inflation is coming.
00:17:48.000 So if you want something you can touch and something you can feel and something you can trade and something that is real, go to noblegoldinvestments.com and tell them the Charlie Kirk show sent you.
00:17:58.000 NobleGoldInvestments.com or call 877-646-5347.
00:18:04.000 That's noblegoldinvestments.com.
00:18:10.000 Hey, Charlie, I have a gender perspectives class.
00:18:14.000 I hope you're not paying for that.
00:18:16.000 It's composed of all liberals, and they seem to be convinced we live in a male-dominated society.
00:18:24.000 How can I convince them that no one gender dominates America?
00:18:28.000 Well, actually, Ryan, I'll push back a little bit.
00:18:31.000 One gender does dominate America.
00:18:33.000 Women dominate America.
00:18:36.000 Women are not just doing a little bit better than men in our country.
00:18:40.000 They're doing better in almost every single statistic.
00:18:45.000 There's a couple big lies that exist in American politics.
00:18:51.000 One of which is that the parties somehow switched in the 1960s.
00:18:55.000 The Democrats have always been the party of racism, and they are the party of racism today.
00:19:00.000 The Democrats went from the plantation to intimidation to entitlement with their handling of black voters.
00:19:07.000 That's one of the biggest lies.
00:19:09.000 Another big lie that is constantly told is that America is a systemically racist country.
00:19:16.000 One of my least favorite lies is that America is a fallow, logo-centric society advancing and protecting the teachings of a white heteronormative patriarchy.
00:19:32.000 If that sounds like a bunch of rubbish, you're right.
00:19:36.000 But for $2,000, A credit hour, you can learn about all that garbage.
00:19:45.000 So, Ryan here asks a great question.
00:19:48.000 How do I respond to this when a bunch of liberals in my class or professors or friends or neighbors say that America is a patriarchy and that women are suffering?
00:20:12.000 The exact opposite is true.
00:20:14.000 There is a war on men in America, and every statistic shows this.
00:20:18.000 Do you know that boys have higher rates of suicide and mental illness and lower achievement in education?
00:20:26.000 As boys become young men, their suicide rates go from equal to girls to six times that of young women.
00:20:33.000 Another alarming statistic is that young men appear to be losing a sense of purpose, increasingly feeling alienated, withdrawn, or addicted to immediate gratification.
00:20:44.000 Do you know that there are millions fewer boys that are enrolling in college?
00:20:48.000 I think that's a good thing generally, but the point is that they just disconnect from society altogether.
00:20:53.000 It's not like they're going and pursuing other careers.
00:20:56.000 Tens of thousands of young men perished last year, victims of the opioid epidemic, which, by the way, disproportionately impacts young men, and yes, you're not allowed to say this, but young white men.
00:21:11.000 You know, one in 10 black men in his 30s is in jail, and more women are doctors and graduates of college and getting master's degrees.
00:21:21.000 The Princeton economist, Dr. Alan Krueger, reported that more than 11% of men, ages 25 to 54, were unemployed and not seeking work.
00:21:33.000 Other data suggests that many of the nation's white men are struggling with both physical and mental health problems, while other ethnic and racial groups have seen their health improve over the last couple of years.
00:21:46.000 Julia Pollack, a labor economist at Jobs Marketplace, Zip Recruiter, told CNBC that, quote, in 2019, female-dominated industry soared while male-dominated industries plummeted.
00:22:00.000 Quote, the economy created exactly 10 times as many jobs in the services sector than in the goods producing sector in 2019.
00:22:08.000 So to summarize all of this, men are more likely to kill themselves, men are more likely to die at work, men are more likely to die at war, men are more likely to declare bankruptcy, men are more likely to be addicted to substances, and women are more likely to be financially solvent.
00:22:26.000 By the way, you know, life expectancy for women is substantially longer than it is for men?
00:22:31.000 You know that women have less health problems than men in America?
00:22:34.000 Can you show me a singular statistic that shows that men are doing better than women?
00:22:39.000 One.
00:22:40.000 Now, the one they might show is they say, well, look at this.
00:22:44.000 It shows that men are earning more money than women in the workforce.
00:22:47.000 Not true.
00:22:48.000 It's not true.
00:22:50.000 If you account for years in the workforce, degree, and occupation, women actually earn more than men.
00:23:00.000 One of the reasons those statistics are even publicized is because a lot of women voluntarily leave the workforce in their late 20s or early 30s to have children.
00:23:10.000 That is when most raises and promotions occur.
00:23:12.000 And that's when men who don't usually leave the workforce to raise children get those raises and promotions.
00:23:18.000 But guess what?
00:23:19.000 We're seeing that flip upside down as young women are being told go pursue some corporate career and it creates single, angry, miserable college-educated women who are 32 and 33 that have a biological clock ticking saying, maybe I should reproduce, but no, I'm going to go try to make partner at some law firm.
00:23:37.000 I end up being eternally miserable.
00:23:41.000 Whereas a new phenomenon in our country is the working woman and the stay-at-home dad.
00:23:48.000 And in certain circumstances, I guess that's fine.
00:23:51.000 I've seen where it can work.
00:23:52.000 In most circumstances, it's a complete and total disaster.
00:23:56.000 The emasculated man and the masculated woman or the masculine woman is a recipe for disaster.
00:24:04.000 Basically, I don't even call that it's a partnership that is just waiting for divorce.
00:24:11.000 And I've seen it happen dozens of times, and the data reinforces it.
00:24:15.000 So to answer your question, Ryan, and you should use these statistics against your professor and just ask the question: what is dominated by men?
00:24:23.000 Now they say, well, there's more men than women in Congress.
00:24:26.000 Yeah, because more men run for office.
00:24:29.000 Less women run for office.
00:24:32.000 True.
00:24:33.000 Oh, they say, well, more men run corporations.
00:24:35.000 Again, men are more likely to dedicate their life to climbing the corporate ladder, where women are less likely to do so.
00:24:46.000 And when they do, they actually are climbing the corporate ladder faster.
00:24:51.000 I would make the exact opposite argument.
00:24:53.000 We need to focus on the war on men in our country.
00:24:57.000 Without strong men, your whole society falls apart.
00:25:02.000 Strong men, strong women.
00:25:04.000 You know what we have right now?
00:25:05.000 Angry women and weak men.
00:25:07.000 Thank you for your question.
00:25:08.000 Let's get to the next question here.
00:25:13.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:25:14.000 Do you think that the division within the Democrat Party will result in the development of a new political party?
00:25:18.000 I find it humorous that this is more of a possibility than Trump starting a new party, which has proved to be false.
00:25:23.000 I'm interested to hear your thoughts.
00:25:25.000 Potentially, I think that the Democrats could splinter.
00:25:28.000 I think that they have so many competing factions, but I think it's more of a danger that Republicans actually fracture, and we have to try to keep the Republican or the conservative movement together.
00:25:39.000 And one of the most important announcements of the last few weeks that was not mentioned, of course, in the media is that Donald Trump has said he's not starting a third party.
00:25:50.000 That Donald Trump has said that he's not going to start a third party, is going to work within the Republican Party.
00:25:54.000 Do you notice how the media conveniently didn't cover that story?
00:25:58.000 They don't want you to hear that.
00:26:00.000 They want the splintering and fracturing of a third party.
00:26:06.000 Let's get to another question here and email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:26:13.000 Hello, Charlie.
00:26:13.000 I'm a huge fan.
00:26:14.000 I started going to college five years ago.
00:26:16.000 I went for a year at a community college.
00:26:18.000 I got so frustrated with how hard they were teaching all their leftist policies and all their viewpoints on me.
00:26:25.000 I realized I could do better for myself if I were to change directions and go to trade school.
00:26:29.000 Good for you.
00:26:29.000 I'm now an electrician where my political beliefs are not questioned every day.
00:26:34.000 My question is this.
00:26:35.000 Why do high schools across the country not push trade schools?
00:26:38.000 It's always college this and college that.
00:26:40.000 They never say how great of a living you can make if you were to join a trade cut.
00:26:43.000 Ryan, I want to send you my book, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:26:47.000 And Ryan, your story is one of the reasons why I'm writing my next book.
00:26:51.000 You're an electrician.
00:26:52.000 You have a wage.
00:26:54.000 You're working in the muscular class.
00:26:57.000 No debts.
00:26:58.000 Well, I hope you have no debt.
00:27:01.000 And you bring up an unbelievably important point.
00:27:08.000 High schools are pushing college upon our kids in a predatory fashion.
00:27:13.000 You must go to college to succeed.
00:27:15.000 No, that's not true.
00:27:16.000 The national graduation rate is 59%.
00:27:20.000 41% of people that graduate college will graduate.
00:27:24.000 And I'll get the exact number, but somewhere between 20 or 30% of college graduates actually end up getting a job that is directly applicable with their degree.
00:27:35.000 So, Ryan, why are they pushing college so aggressively?
00:27:37.000 Well, because college makes great liberals and dependent voters.
00:27:40.000 College makes you a weaker person, not a stronger person.
00:27:43.000 It makes you a more intolerant person, not a more tolerant person.
00:27:46.000 And of course, there's exceptions.
00:27:47.000 There are people that say, I did wonderful because of college.
00:27:49.000 That's fine.
00:27:51.000 The general rule, though, the general trend is you will become an angrier, more indebted, more self-involved person, and less wise person.
00:28:01.000 Why is there no wisdom in college?
00:28:05.000 Because there's no God, no God, no wisdom.
00:28:09.000 You do not need to get a four-year college degree to succeed.
00:28:12.000 Now, I did not go to college.
00:28:15.000 And some people say, well, your story is not applicable to everyone else, Charlie.
00:28:19.000 That might be true.
00:28:20.000 But I can tell you that not having a college degree made me work harder and opened up more doors for me than feeling entitled that I was supposed to be given something by going to college.
00:28:32.000 And I know plenty of people that have gone to college and they found value in it.
00:28:37.000 But I know more people, and based on all my study and all my travel, and the data supports this, the macro data, there is a massive disgust with the value that is delivered for most universities and colleges.
00:28:53.000 According to the Washington Post, only 27% end up getting a job in a field related to their major.
00:28:59.000 Thank you, Connor.
00:29:00.000 That is exactly the number I was thinking of.
00:29:02.000 27%.
00:29:04.000 So if you go to college, you only have a 6 in 10 chance of graduating, 6 in 10.
00:29:09.000 And then if you graduate, of that 6 in 10, you only have a 3 out of 10 chance to round up to actually get a job in something applicable to your major.
00:29:20.000 If a business had a track record like this, they would be criminally investigated for racketeering.
00:29:27.000 It's a legalized racket.
00:29:29.000 In fact, it's a taxpayer-subsidized racket.
00:29:32.000 If you go actually and see what degrees people get based on major, only about 11 to 12% of all the degrees across the country are in science, technology, engineering, math, or law.
00:29:44.000 The rest are communications, sociology, humanities, which might be fun ideological explorations.
00:29:53.000 But why do you need to go into debt, redirect your life to go learn about Nietzsche's nihilism or the Hegelian dialectic or Rassoian philosophy?
00:30:10.000 You don't.
00:30:10.000 So, Ryan, thank you.
00:30:12.000 You are why I do what I do.
00:30:16.000 You're a great American.
00:30:17.000 Please subscribe to the Charlie Kirk Show on your podcast app.
00:30:23.000 Show us your subscription by emailing it to us with your question, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:30:29.000 Okay, we got lots of good questions here.
00:30:30.000 Hey, Charlie, I'm a mother of four, and we currently hybrid school, in class two days, and at home, three.
00:30:35.000 Amazing.
00:30:37.000 The Lord has blessed us with phenomenal Jesus-loving teachers and administrators to work alongside us in the education of our children.
00:30:44.000 Do you have any specific supplemental materials that you'd recommend to ensure they are getting a well-rounded foundational views when it comes to history, civics, and political science?
00:30:52.000 Thanks for all you do, Mary Michael Taylor.
00:30:54.000 Yes.
00:30:54.000 The Hillsdale courses are phenomenal.
00:30:56.000 I take them.
00:30:57.000 There's 25 of them.
00:30:59.000 And we might have some big announcements there, you know, about how we're going to continue to promote them.
00:31:03.000 I think they're phenomenal.
00:31:04.000 I really do.
00:31:05.000 Hillsdale is great.
00:31:07.000 And then also, my other recommendation for, and you have a wonderful Bible verse, Luke 137, for nothing is impossible with God.
00:31:18.000 Go to the Foundation for Economic Education or go out of your way to make sure that your children understand economics.
00:31:27.000 What I find in some church circles is they get the morals, they get the values, they get a little bit of American history and very little to no economics.
00:31:37.000 God made the laws of nature.
00:31:39.000 Our founding fathers understood this.
00:31:41.000 In the Declaration, they said the laws of nature and nature is God.
00:31:44.000 They mentioned God four times in the Declaration.
00:31:47.000 Well, the laws of nature also apply to the laws of economics, laws of supply and demand.
00:31:54.000 They're all playing out in real time.
00:31:58.000 Economics can be a lot of fun.
00:32:00.000 And my one suggestion, Mary, thank you for your question, is teach your children the eye pencil.
00:32:08.000 Make sure you go read Larry Reid, Henry Hazlitt's Economic in One Lesson.
00:32:14.000 If I could recommend one thing, it's Henry Hazlitt's Economics in One Lesson.
00:32:20.000 It is terrific.
00:32:21.000 Thomas Sowell, Milton Friedman, that's where I got my start.
00:32:25.000 And it still is very impactful to me.
00:32:27.000 Now, I'm not a libertarian purist, but if you do not have some economic literacy, then you'll start to do exactly what we're seeing in our government in both political parties.
00:32:39.000 So that would be my one recommendation and suggestion is really dedicate yourself to teaching your children about economics and doing it correctly.
00:32:52.000 From Nancy, hi, Charlie.
00:32:54.000 Thanks so much for all the work you do every day.
00:32:55.000 Your podcast has been such an encouragement and has made me start to research and pay attention to politics in my own city in British Columbia, Canada.
00:33:02.000 I love Canada.
00:33:03.000 Everyone's so polite.
00:33:04.000 I have two questions for you.
00:33:05.000 First, any recommendations of a left-leaning liberal news site I could add to my list to be able to listen to, at least say my liberal friends, that I do not get all my news from the right?
00:33:13.000 Second, do you know of anyone in Canada that is doing similar work to you?
00:33:16.000 I'm embarrassed to say I'm now more informed about American politics than I am about Canadian.
00:33:19.000 That has nothing wrong with that.
00:33:21.000 So I don't know actually anything about Canadian politics.
00:33:26.000 Producer Andrews says, how about the Associated Press or Reuters?
00:33:30.000 I would not recommend them.
00:33:31.000 What I would recommend is go find thoughtful, analytical, honest liberals like Eric Weinstein, who comment on the news.
00:33:40.000 They come at it from a liberal perspective, but they're very fair and they'll expand your horizons.
00:33:46.000 Glenn Greenwald, Eric Weinstein, Brett Weinstein.
00:33:49.000 I used to say Sam Harris, but he's been awful lately.
00:33:52.000 You agree, Andrew?
00:33:53.000 He's been terrible.
00:33:53.000 He's been so nasty.
00:33:55.000 Eric and Brett Weinstein have been better.
00:33:57.000 Brett's been a little nasty to me.
00:33:58.000 So Eric Weinstein, I think.
00:34:00.000 But there's a couple liberals like that that I listen to because I find it very interesting to see how they analyze the news and information.
00:34:07.000 So that would be my recommendation there, Nancy.
00:34:09.000 Thank you.
00:34:09.000 Let's get to a quick question here.
00:34:14.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:34:16.000 Somebody emailed us.
00:34:17.000 They said, Charlie, you said Francis Scott Key was anti-slavery.
00:34:21.000 The Smithsonian says that he was pro-slavery.
00:34:25.000 Much longer answer, but American Minute Bill Federer goes through this entire thing about how Francis Scott Key was intimately involved in advocating the Amistad slave ship to be liberated.
00:34:39.000 And he was also a legal defense for slaves that came to America.
00:34:43.000 So I'll just kind of finish with that question there.
00:34:45.000 Email us as always freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:34:47.000 This weekend, I'm in Albuquerque.
00:34:49.000 You'll be able to see clips and some of that content.
