00:02:23.000 I want to get to one question here.
00:02:24.000 It's one of the shortest questions we have ever received, but it's a great question.
00:02:29.000 John from New Jersey, who shot Ashley Babbitt?
00:02:32.000 Who killed Ashley Babbitt?
00:02:34.000 Now, you might remember Ashley Babbitt was a veteran from San Diego who traveled to Washington, D.C. for the protests on the 6th of January.
00:02:46.000 Ashley Babbitt entered the United States Capitol and was killed unarmed by someone who we now know his name.
00:02:55.000 Now, I was one of the first people to mention his name on television.
00:03:00.000 I was one of the first people to talk about him.
00:03:03.000 And it's Lieutenant Bird.
00:03:05.000 And he is now doing a massive press campaign to try and save his reputation.
00:03:13.000 He said he has been cleared by all the authorities.
00:03:16.000 And he's saying that he saved countless lives.
00:03:20.000 The only deaths that we know of from that day are either people that died of unrelated injuries afterwards, suicides that happened afterwards, or Lieutenant Bird killing Ashley Babbitt, shooting her as she was unarmed.
00:03:39.000 Now, we have been lectured for years that we need to rein in police officers who have too much force that kill their own citizens.
00:03:53.000 And usually we side with the police on this because usually the police act prudently.
00:03:59.000 But we look at every situation independently and come to our own conclusion.
00:04:03.000 We're not ideologues when it comes to this issue, and no one should be, but the left is.
00:04:06.000 BLM is.
00:04:07.000 BLM are ideologues.
00:04:09.000 And they have been silent on the killing of Ashley Babbitt.
00:04:13.000 In fact, they're almost supportive of it.
00:04:16.000 In fact, some Republican senators, and if you're listening on the Flag Radio Network, I was texting back and forth with Senator Kramer.
00:04:24.000 He is supportive of this officer who killed Ashley Babbitt, which I think is an inexcusable position.
00:04:32.000 And I think very highly of Senator Kramer.
00:04:34.000 I just couldn't disagree more with this idea that it's okay to shoot an unarmed person who's a veteran, who's not even coming near you, who just puts her head up in a window.
00:04:45.000 Bang.
00:04:47.000 So I want to go back in time.
00:04:48.000 First, my conversation with the wonderful and the terrific and the impressive Maria Bartaromo, where I said six weeks ago, it looks like that it is Lieutenant Michael Bird.
00:05:03.000 This was six weeks ago.
00:05:04.000 We were the first person to say it on cable television.
00:05:07.000 Play cut 109.
00:05:09.000 Trolley, I want to get your take on who fatally shot Ashley Babbitt.
00:05:14.000 What do you know?
00:05:16.000 We're still in the allegedly phase, but according to Real Clear Politics and Real Clear Investigations, it looks like we're pretty certain to believe that it's a man by the name of Lieutenant Bird, Michael Bird, and there's more information that's going to come out around this, I think, in the coming weeks and months.
00:05:33.000 So we were the first people to mention on cable television, and we were right.
00:05:37.000 So I want to play two cuts here: 107.
00:05:39.000 Who killed Ashley Babbitt?
00:05:40.000 Michael Bird killed Ashley Babbitt.
00:05:43.000 That was back on July 11th.
00:05:44.000 Wow, it feels like yesterday.
00:05:46.000 Michael Bird says on cut 107 that he showed the utmost courage when he shot and executed an unarmed woman.
00:05:56.000 Cut 107.
00:05:57.000 Do you have any concern about showing your face and identifying?
00:06:00.000 Of course I do.
00:06:02.000 That is a very vital point, and it's something that is frightening.
00:06:09.000 I believe I showed the utmost courage on January 6th, and it's time for me to do that now.
00:06:17.000 So it's courage, and I can't believe the media is tolerating this.
00:06:21.000 There's an obvious reason why the media is tolerating this.
00:06:23.000 It's because it's a person who shot a Trump supporter.
00:06:26.000 That's why the media is tolerating this.
00:06:28.000 The media is tolerating this entire narrative because it's a black police officer who shot a white Trump supporter who's a veteran and a deplorable.
00:06:35.000 Of course, that narrative doesn't bother them.
00:06:38.000 In fact, deep down, some members of the media are cheering that on.
00:06:42.000 The fact that this interview was what it was is disgusting.
00:06:46.000 Cut 108, I saved countless lives.
00:06:48.000 Oh, really?
00:06:48.000 How many people did Ashley Babbitt kill?
00:06:50.000 She was walking around with the flag and she goes up to a window and bang, you shoot her in the forehead.
00:06:55.000 You don't have courage.
00:06:56.000 You're a coward.
00:06:57.000 You should have been held criminally accountable.
00:06:59.000 But our justice system, we know what our justice system is.
00:07:02.000 We know what that is.
00:07:04.000 Play cut 108.
00:07:06.000 I spent countless years and preparing for such a moment.
00:07:12.000 You ultimately hope that moment never occurs, but you prepare as best you can.
00:07:17.000 I know that day I saved countless lives.
00:07:22.000 How did you save countless lives?
00:07:23.000 No, seriously, how do you not get pushback for saying that?
00:07:27.000 Have you actually seen the video?
00:07:28.000 Ashley Babbitt is climbing up to a window, unarmed, no weapons, and he is all the way down the hall, and he just kills her.
00:07:35.000 That does not equate to saving countless lives.
00:07:39.000 How many people did Ashley Babbitt kill that day?
00:07:41.000 How many people did the Trump supporters kill that day?
00:07:43.000 In fact, despite all of the narratives, the police officers did not die at that moment due to the related injuries that happened because of what happened that day.
00:08:00.000 We'll get the exact specifics on it, but some of them died because of heart attacks or trauma afterwards.
00:08:07.000 Killing a person does not equal saving countless lives.
00:08:10.000 And I'm going to say this again: the reason why the media is covering for this guy, it's because it's a black liberal person who shot a white Trump supporter.
00:08:19.000 If it was the other way around, could you imagine if a white cop shot a BLM activist last summer when they burned down our country, when dozens of Secret Service agents were injured at the White House?
00:08:33.000 Could you imagine if a white Secret Service agent shot a black activist?
00:08:38.000 And this all had to come out on the liberal media's terms.
00:08:41.000 I'm sure he has the best press person from Pelosi's office managing it.
00:08:46.000 And the other reason why he did this, this is all because of Pelosi.
00:08:50.000 You have to understand the game that's being played here, is that Pelosi's running the January 6th Commission, and she doesn't want to have Republicans have a complaint be like, well, what about Ashley Babbitt?
00:09:00.000 What about Ashley Babbitt?
00:09:02.000 So she decided, and this is the Barack Obama strategy, and it worked in his book, Audacity of Hope, which is to lead with the negative and propagandize the public around it so then it's no longer news.
00:09:15.000 So now when you bring it up, everyone's like, oh, that's old news.
00:09:18.000 It's called the old news tactic.
00:09:21.000 You guys see this done a lot.
00:09:22.000 Hillary Clinton did this with her emails.
00:09:26.000 Trying to think who else did this.
00:09:27.000 Joe Biden did this.
00:09:30.000 It's a tactic that politicians who have media cover do where they will expose themselves to the most negative coverage, get sympathy for it, and they get protection from the regime.
00:09:41.000 And then after a week, everyone thinks it's old news and you move past it.
00:09:44.000 Hunter Biden did this as well, by the way.
00:09:46.000 Oh, yeah, I was smoking cocaine out of the carpet.
00:09:49.000 Oh, we feel so sorry for Hunter.
00:09:50.000 Then if you bring it up, it's old news and they feel sorry for you.
00:09:53.000 It's called the old news tactic.
00:09:57.000 He was sniffing crack out of the carpet.
00:09:59.000 Cut 110, Tucker Carlson asks, is it really courageous to shoot an unarmed woman?
00:10:04.000 Cut 110.
00:10:06.000 I showed the utmost courage by executing an unarmed woman without warning her first.
00:10:14.000 That's the utmost courage.
00:10:15.000 If we live in a country where we let that pass, that's courage.
00:10:18.000 No, that's not courage.
00:10:19.000 I mean, we can argue about whether it was justified or not.
00:10:21.000 Notice nobody is arguing.
00:10:24.000 People are just praising him, including Republican members of Congress who should be ashamed of themselves.
00:10:28.000 But if we call that courage, we've devalued the term.
00:10:35.000 And there are Republican members of Congress that are saying it's a wonderful thing that Michael Byrd killed an unarmed Trump veteran supporter.
00:10:45.000 I'm going to read some of those.
00:10:48.000 Is that really the quality of the Republican Party now praising the execution of Trump veterans who are unarmed?
00:10:55.000 And people say, well, they shouldn't have been there.
00:10:57.000 Okay, so everyone who went into the Capitol deserves the death penalty.
00:10:59.000 Is that the new standard?
00:11:02.000 Look, when was the last time you had American meat?
00:11:05.000 Chances are it's been way too long.
00:11:06.000 Did you know that over 80% of grass-fed beef sold in the United States is imported from overseas?

00:12:21.000 The box is gone.
00:12:22.000 And then he sends me these pictures right next to his Japanese car eating American beef.

00:12:52.000 GoodRanchers.com.
00:12:53.000 Promo code Charlie.
00:12:56.000 Let's get to some more questions here.
00:12:59.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:13:00.000 Understand that Senators Hawley and Blackburn are asking for Biden's resignation, and Madison Cawthorne is calling for Harris to invoke the 25th Amendment.
00:13:08.000 Is this the liberal agenda coming to fruition?
00:13:11.000 Getting Biden to step down so that Harris would be president will actually happen.
00:13:15.000 I'm troubled because Biden should be impeached and removed from office immediately.
00:13:18.000 But Harris is not the answer to America's pleas for a wise and strong leader.
00:13:22.000 What are your thoughts?
00:13:23.000 God bless Alana.
00:13:24.000 Or, yeah, Alana.
00:13:25.000 Well, obviously, Kamala Harris will probably be even worse.
00:13:28.000 But look, you want to disrupt the regime while you can.
00:13:31.000 You want to delegitimize them.
00:13:32.000 And if that means getting Joe Biden impeached or removed or such pressure that he has to do so, resigning in disgrace, so be it.
00:13:41.000 And my evidence for this, let's say he resigns, which is unlikely, but you never know because of health reasons or whatever.
00:13:48.000 Gerald Ford was never treated as a legitimate president.
00:13:51.000 Now, Gerald Ford was not elected because Spiro Agnew resigned and Gerald Ford was appointed in response and kind of as a filling of it.
00:13:59.000 But successor presidents have mixed results in American history, and there's plenty of them.
00:14:05.000 Teddy Roosevelt ended up being a very effective successor president to William McKinley.
00:14:11.000 We have many examples.
00:14:13.000 I think Warren G. Harding resigned, didn't he, Connor?
00:14:16.000 Warren G. Harding, I think, resigned after the Teapot Dome scandal, and then Calvin Coolidge became president.
00:14:21.000 I could be wrong.
00:14:22.000 I'll get a fact check on that.
00:14:23.000 My 1920 corrupt Ohio politician memory is not what it used to be.
00:14:29.000 Yeah, and then, of course, Lyndon Bates Johnson was a successor to John F. Kennedy.
00:14:32.000 So successors sometimes have trouble governing because they do not have a specific mandate.
00:14:37.000 Very few people go and vote for vice president.
00:14:40.000 And people say, well, Kamala Harris will be worse.
00:14:42.000 Did Warren G. Harding really die in office?
00:14:45.000 I knew that there was a successor.
00:14:46.000 I thought he resigned.
00:14:47.000 That's really interesting.
00:14:48.000 I didn't realize he died.
00:14:49.000 Okay, so Warren G. Harding, awful president.
00:14:52.000 It went Wilson Harding Coolidge Hoover.
00:14:57.000 Is that right?
00:14:58.000 Wilson Harding Coolidge Hoover.
00:15:00.000 My list was right.
00:15:00.000 Okay.
00:15:01.000 And so there was a lot of turmoil in those first 20 years of the 1900s.
00:15:05.000 And my point is this: people say, well, Kamala Harris is going to be worse.
00:15:09.000 No, Joe Biden is already doing what Kamala Harris would do.
00:15:12.000 He is just as radical.
00:15:13.000 There is not a moderate position in this entire White House.
00:15:16.000 Remove him while you can.
00:15:18.000 Take the opportunity when you can.
00:15:19.000 Delegitimize the regime.
00:15:22.000 Create upheaval.
00:15:23.000 What would Kamala Harris do that Joe Biden is not doing?
00:15:26.000 Would Kamala Harris keep the southern border wide open?
00:15:28.000 It's being done.
00:15:29.000 Grant amnesty to illegals?
00:15:30.000 It's being done.
00:15:31.000 Spend trillions of dollars we don't have?
00:15:32.000 It's being done.
00:15:33.000 Screw up Kabul royally.
00:15:35.000 It's being done.
00:15:38.000 And so a lot of people are saying that if we remove them, be careful what you wish for.
00:15:45.000 We already have what we don't want.
00:15:48.000 And successor presidents, post-Truman, have had difficulty governing the country, difficulty managing multiple crises.
00:16:02.000 And now that's not a perfect rule.
00:16:04.000 Maybe Kamala Harris would be much worse.
00:16:06.000 Maybe she would go in a more radical direction.
00:16:07.000 But here's what I will say: Kamala Harris is double digits less favorable amongst independents than Joe Biden is.
00:16:16.000 Joe Biden does not bother independents.
00:16:18.000 Kamala Harris scares independents.
00:16:21.000 Her cackle, her tone, her approach, her arrogance, her views, her radicalism.
00:16:28.000 Kamala Harris is a younger diversity-style Hillary Clinton.
00:16:37.000 In fact, MSN says that Kamala Harris has an unprecedented negative rating.
00:16:43.000 America just doesn't have a good feeling about Vice President Kamala Harris.
00:16:47.000 And you think that as soon as she does more press conferences, that's going to go up?
00:16:51.000 Of course not.
00:16:53.000 Kamala Harris is so unpopular that Gavin Newsom doesn't even want Kamala Harris to get to come to California.
00:17:02.000 In fact, Kamala Harris is 17 points less popular than Mike Pence was.
00:17:13.000 And Mike Pence was not even viewed very popular, but you know, very favorably.
00:17:17.000 13 points, net difference, 17 points.
00:17:21.000 Now, vice presidents are tricky things.
00:17:23.000 Al Gore, Dick Cheney, Joe Biden, Mike Pence, Kamala Harris.
00:17:26.000 But Kamala Harris has the lowest total positive rate, the highest total negative rate of any vice president in the modern era.
00:17:35.000 So if that's who you want to try to have run the country with the same sort of policy position, so be it.
00:17:42.000 Challenge the regime when you can.
00:17:44.000 Now, do I think Joe Biden's going to resign?
00:17:46.000 I think he'll resign if we keep the pressure on enough.
00:17:48.000 I don't think he can physically or mentally handle many more days like this.
00:17:52.000 Joe Biden cannot handle the stress or the pressure, obviously.
00:17:56.000 He took 11 days off as the Taliban took over Afghanistan.
00:18:01.000 And look, before we go any further, the AMA, you guys know that I want all of you to learn from great books.
00:18:07.000 Thinker.org/slash Charlie is a place where you can consume big ideas in a short period of time.
00:18:13.000 Key insights from dangerous ideas: a brief history of the censorship in the West from the ancients to fake news is our thinker.org book of the week.
00:18:22.000 Here's what you'll learn: you'll learn that censorship is a temptation as old as speech itself, and it has proven the preferred option over tolerance and open discussions throughout our history.
00:18:33.000 Journalist and human rights lawyer Eric Berkowitz, he walks you through the tension between speech and suppression in Western history, highlighting events that have shaped the movement towards free speech and the temptations to curtail it.
00:18:46.000 So you guys can listen to big ideas quickly and not be in violation of thought crimes and be stuffed down memory holes at thinker.org/slash Charlie.
00:18:57.000 T-H-I-N-K-R dot org slash Charlie.
00:19:01.000 Thinker.org slash Charlie.
00:19:03.000 Check it out right now.
00:19:05.000 You guys are able to consume big ideas quickly.
00:19:08.000 Thinker.org slash Charlie.
00:19:10.000 Check it out.
00:19:13.000 Good morning, Charlie.
00:19:14.000 My kids attend school in San Antonio in Northside ISD, and they are deliberately disobeying the Supreme Court ruling of abiding by Governor Abbott's executive order banning mask mandates.
00:19:29.000 My high school daughter stood her ground and refused to wear a mask today.
00:19:33.000 She has had eight asthma attacks this week.
00:19:36.000 The principal told her that I will need her to wear her mask or leave campus.
00:19:40.000 I asked how NISD thinks they have the legal authority to enforce masks, and he said he didn't have an answer for that.
00:19:45.000 Of course not.
00:19:46.000 He repeated himself about masking or leaving campus and not being able to attend classes.
00:19:50.000 This is so evil.
00:19:52.000 My daughter chose to stand her ground.
00:19:54.000 We left.
00:19:55.000 My question is: what can we do here in Texas?
00:19:57.000 I've reached out to the governor's office, the attorney general, the superintendent, and nothing is happening.
00:20:03.000 This has to end.
00:20:04.000 Thank you.
00:20:04.000 I love your show, Amber.
00:20:07.000 Thank you, Amber.
00:20:08.000 The reason why your daughter is being forced to wear masks, regardless of what the Texas legislature has passed and Governor Greg Abbott has signed into law, is because leftists, Democrats, and liberals that run these schools, they are not afraid of the consequence.
00:20:25.000 They're not afraid of the potential penalty that will come down if they violate the law that Republicans pass.
00:20:34.000 We're experiencing this right now in Scottsdale.
00:20:37.000 I just gave my speech at the Scottsdale Unified School District a couple days ago, where I told the Scottsdale Unified School District that they are breaking Arizona law by mandating masks on children, despite what Governor Doug Ducey has signed into law.
00:20:52.000 And they basically shrug it off and they say, Delta variant, we could do whatever we want.
00:20:57.000 So, Amber, let me connect two things for you.
00:21:00.000 The reason why the head of the San Antonio School District thinks they can do whatever they want is because when they see Democrats flee the state of Texas to try to block quorum and no one gets arrested, it plays into the narrative that the regime of the media will protect you if you rebel against Republicans.
00:21:23.000 But if Republicans rebel against Democrats, they will crush you.
00:21:27.000 For example, my friend in Chicago is one of the people at the board at Timothy Christian School.
00:21:34.000 And at Timothy Christian, they said, you know what?
00:21:39.000 We understand there's a mask mandate.
00:21:40.000 We're going to look at all the data before we make a decision.
00:21:43.000 Without even a phone call, the Illinois State Board of Education revoked their charter immediately, full penalty.
00:21:51.000 So, Amber, if the governor of Texas or the attorney general was serious about protecting children and actually enforcing the law, they would use political power to go after the San Antonio School District.
00:22:04.000 So, what can you do?
00:22:05.000 Be happy to connect you with some legal support.
00:22:07.000 I don't know how successful that will be.
00:22:09.000 Your daughter had eight asthma attacks this week, probably because she's being forced to wear a mask all day long, which is child abuse.
00:22:16.000 And there is no epidemiological reason for it.
00:22:18.000 Instead, mask mandates are basically being pushed by these social control freaks that love to control their people's lives.
00:22:29.000 Cicero, who was a one-year Roman counsel and wrote extensively about political power and was one of the people that helped frame the American system of government thousands of years before, he was a contemporary of Julius Caesar.
00:22:43.000 He was actually killed by a different triumphant, but I think Brutus was involved in that.
00:22:48.000 I could be mistaken.
00:22:50.000 They cut off his head, actually, because Cicero was a little bit of a sarcastic artist, if you will.
00:22:55.000 He was a best-selling author.
00:22:57.000 I wrote in my book, The MAGA Doctrine, that Cicero was Trump before Trump.
00:23:01.000 Anyway, Cicero had a quote, and James Madison had his own version of the quote where it said, The more laws, the less justice.
00:23:10.000 And James Madison had his own quote, one of the fathers of the American Constitution, where he said, The more voluminous the laws, the less likely justice will occur.
00:23:21.000 So, I have my own quote building on the backs of the great Cicero and James Madison, which is, the more rules, the more tyrants.
00:23:31.000 The more rules there are, the more very sad people are all of a sudden going to feel empowered and emboldened to try to micromanage your child's masking behavior.
00:23:43.000 She had eight asthma attacks this week, and the principal told her that she has to wear the mask or leave campus.
00:23:52.000 And your daughter chose to stand her ground.
00:23:55.000 The only way this gets fixed, everybody, is if Republicans who have political power decide to be a legitimate check and balance.
00:24:05.000 I was on a flight the other day on an American Airlines flight, and this flight attendant came up to me.
00:24:10.000 And again, I have a very good relationship with flight attendants.
00:24:12.000 It's not about flight attendants.
00:24:13.000 I've complimented flight attendants endlessly.
00:24:15.000 This flight attendant, she should never be in charge of anything consequential.
00:24:20.000 She would have been one of Mussolini's revered enforcers.
00:24:27.000 She was a tyrant walking through the, she found pleasure in managing people's masking behavior.
00:24:35.000 So she came up to me and she said, you have the wrong type of mask.
00:24:37.000 I don't even know what she meant.
00:24:38.000 She said that it was not fully covering it.
00:24:41.000 I wore the mask on planes multiple times.
00:24:44.000 And she was so insistent and angry and mean about it.
00:24:49.000 I thought to myself, that's when the quote said, the only reason that she is as important as she is as far as managing what goes on my face is because of all these ridiculous rules that are passed.
00:24:59.000 The more rules, the more tyrants.
00:25:01.000 You want to stop this descent into authoritarianism?
00:25:05.000 Well, repeal the silly rules.
00:25:07.000 Charlie, is it a fair question now?
00:25:09.000 Is our president compromised?
00:25:12.000 Consistent bad policy decisions, which reward our enemies, such as China, Russia, and OPEC.
00:25:18.000 Now is the time to find out before this president does any further damage to our country.
00:25:24.000 Look, I've said for quite a while that Joe Biden is being puppeteered and is, quite honestly, being controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.
00:25:35.000 We know that Hunter Biden did extensive business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party.
00:25:40.000 We know that Tony Bobulinsky came out and said that there was 10% for the big man to be put aside in dealings with the Chinese Communist Party.
00:25:47.000 We know that Hunter Biden is selling garbage pieces of art for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
00:25:54.000 So yeah, I believe that there Muriel might be a blackmail operation against Joe Biden.
00:25:58.000 Very well might be that Joe Biden is being controlled and is being blackmailed for behalf of the Chinese Communist Party.
00:26:09.000 And a Taiwan moment is coming, everybody.
00:26:13.000 We have predicted this for a couple months.
00:26:15.000 There is going to be a moment of reckoning with Taiwan.
00:26:21.000 Will Joe Biden side with Taiwan and America or with the Chinese Communist Party, his owners, his employee, his employer, who is, they've invested in him for quite a while.
00:26:34.000 You're trying to say he's all of a sudden going to back down?
00:26:37.000 I don't know about that.
00:26:40.000 Joe Biden has always sold himself out to the highest bidder.
00:26:46.000 Next question here, Paul from Iowa.
00:26:48.000 Charlie, do you think that we should reinvade Afghanistan at this point?
00:26:52.000 Thanks so much.
00:26:53.000 No, that would be a disaster.
00:26:56.000 And so let me make sure that you know that my position is clear and how our own opinion on this program is different than some of the neoconservative orthodoxy of some of the Republicans you are going to see paraded on television over the next couple days.
00:27:12.000 Ending the war in Afghanistan was the right move that Donald Trump had.
00:27:17.000 How you end it is very important.
00:27:19.000 If you find out that you have a tumor, you don't take out a pocket knife and just start removing it.
00:27:25.000 How you do something is very important.
00:27:29.000 But now many Republicans and people that are part of the war industry want to reinvade Afghanistan and stay there permanently.
00:27:39.000 That would be a mistake on top of a mistake, on top of a mistake.
00:27:44.000 And to kind of further the analogy, how you do something matters.
00:27:47.000 If you have to do heart surgery and you don't do it right, you kill the host if you do not do it exactly correctly and do it right.
00:27:56.000 Well, Leon Panetta went on television on CNN and said, look, we're going to have to go back into Afghanistan to get ISIS.
00:28:03.000 We're going to have to go back in to get Al-Qaeda.
00:28:04.000 We can't leave the battlefield, but we can't.
00:28:07.000 We can leave the battlefield.
00:28:08.000 We can't leave the war on terrorism.
00:28:10.000 Now, one of the reasons why the war on terrorism is such a threat against America is because of our foolish immigration policies.
00:28:16.000 We let in way too many people into our country, including on traveler visas.
00:28:20.000 If we had a stricter regulation on the flow of people into our country, it wouldn't matter as much.
00:28:26.000 But Leon Panetta is part of the globalist project, and open borders is part of that entire kind of worldview.
00:28:34.000 So therefore, you need a neoconservative foreign policy perspective to justify the open borders and vice versa with it, internationalist global trade.
00:28:44.000 Cut 94.
00:28:46.000 We're going to have to go back in to get ISIS.
00:28:49.000 We're probably going to have to go back in when Al-Qaeda resurrects itself, as they will with this Taliban.
00:28:56.000 They've gave safe haven to Al-Qaeda before.
00:28:59.000 They'll probably do it again.
00:29:01.000 So, yeah, you know, I understand that we're trying to get our troops out of there, but the bottom line is we can leave a battlefield, but we can't leave the war on terrorism, which still is a threat to our security.
00:29:18.000 We can leave the battlefield, but we cannot leave our war on terrorism.
00:29:24.000 So we got to keep the perpetual war machine going.
00:29:27.000 And Leon Panetta is probably paid by a lot of these think tanks that are compromised, that are constantly arguing for perpetual war in a country halfway around the world.
00:29:39.000 I have a fear right now that we are now going to hear the neoconservative warmongers to say, now we got to go right back in.
00:29:48.000 The reckless, imprudent withdrawal from Joe Biden is actually opening the door for the war machine to get even more involved in the region.
00:29:57.000 Was that the goal?
00:29:58.000 I don't know.
00:29:59.000 Were the military generals so angry that we had to withdraw that they did it intentionally wrong to try to justify another invasion to fight our own weapons for another 20 years?
00:30:09.000 I don't know.
00:30:11.000 To give you an example of how reckless this withdrawal has been, Cut 89, General McKinsey reveals that the United States is sharing intelligence with the Taliban and relying on them for protection.
00:30:24.000 You would only share intelligence with the Taliban if maybe General McKinsey wants another 20-year war in Kabul.
00:30:31.000 Cut 89.
00:30:33.000 The other thing we do is we share versions of this information with the Taliban so that they can actually do some searching out there for us.
00:30:42.000 And we believe that some attacks have been thwarted by them.
00:30:45.000 Again, we've been doing this for a long, we've been doing this since the 14th.
00:30:49.000 This is an attack that's been carried out.
00:30:51.000 We believe it's possible that others have been thwarted.
00:30:54.000 We cut down the information we give the Taliban.
00:30:56.000 They don't get the full range of information we have, but we give them enough to act in time and space to try to prevent these attacks.
00:31:03.000 Now, remember, the Taliban is going around killing Afghans and Christians.
00:31:07.000 And oh, yeah, we trust them.
00:31:08.000 And by the way, did you hear what he said?
00:31:09.000 He was so condescending.
00:31:10.000 Remember, we've been doing this a long time.
00:31:12.000 Yeah, you've been failing miserably for a long time.
00:31:14.000 You see how arrogant this guy is?
00:31:16.000 Oh, yeah, don't you know?
00:31:17.000 We've been here for 20 years.
00:31:18.000 Yeah, you lost the war, General McKinsey.
00:31:20.000 We're supposed to trust you?
00:31:22.000 You're a loser.
00:31:25.000 Now, what a great AMA this is.
00:31:26.000 Before we go any further, I want to tell you, I want to play a short clip from a Hillsdale online course with Dr. McClay, the great American story, Land of Hope.
00:31:35.000 And again, you guys have heard me plug Hillsdale before.
00:31:38.000 It's charlieforhillsdale.com.
00:31:41.000 Take the Aristotle course, take the Constitution course, take the Federalist Papers course, take the Winston Churchill course, charlieforhillsdale.com.
00:31:52.000 That's charlieforhillsdale.com.
00:31:55.000 Listen to this short snippet.
00:31:57.000 This should get your attention.
00:31:58.000 CharlieForhillsdale.com.
00:31:59.000 Take a listen.
00:32:00.000 There wasn't much time after the victory over Germany and Japan for popping champagne corks and celebrating.
00:32:08.000 Just as the 50 nations that had joined in defeating the Axis powers were drafting a charter for the United Nations in San Francisco, the victorious alliance between the United States and the Soviet Union was falling apart.
00:32:25.000 War alliance between the United States and Britain and the Soviet Union was tactical exclusively.
00:32:32.000 There was no other ideological or sentimental attachment between the nations.
00:32:37.000 And as the war appeared to be won in Europe, spring of 1945, the Red Army began occupying more and more portions of Eastern Europe with the clear intention of establishing a Soviet empire.
00:32:55.000 This is exactly what Churchill was worried about.
00:32:58.000 In March of 1946, Winston Churchill gave a speech in America in which he uttered a phrase that would live on for a long time.
00:33:07.000 He said that from Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron curtain has descended across the continent.
00:33:17.000 So what to do about this expansionist tendency short of fighting a war?
00:33:24.000 Well, what Truman arrived at was a conclusion heavily influenced by the writings of George Kennan, an American diplomat in Russia, who believed that Soviet expansionism was actually a result of the insecure, unstable nature of the regime itself, and that the process of expansion was actually a way of holding that regime together.
00:33:50.000 And that if expansion was prevented, if it was contained, then the regime in due course would turn in on itself and collapse.
00:34:00.000 This doctrine came to be known as containment because it was a way of fighting the Soviet regime by containing it rather than by defeating it.
00:34:10.000 At any rate, a sustained confrontation between the two remaining superpowers in the world that would come to be called the Cold War.
00:34:20.000 The Cold War turned hot in 1950 on the Korean Peninsula, which had been divided since the end of the war between communist forces in the North that were aligned with the Soviet Union and Democratic forces in the South that were aligned with the United States.
00:34:37.000 This led to an invasion on June 25th, 1950, of some 80,000 North Korean troops that swept into the South, very nearly conquering it.
00:34:50.000 And Truman invoked the United Nations, and the American response was funneled through the United Nations.
00:34:59.000 So it was called a police action rather than a war.
00:35:03.000 There was no declaration of war.
00:35:05.000 The war went very badly until General Douglas MacArthur got involved, performed a brilliant amphibious invasion at Incheon, which cut off the North Korean troops and led him quickly to be able to round them up, defeat them, and then head north.
00:35:24.000 And he kept going north and finally approached the Chinese border.
00:35:29.000 And at that point, a quarter of a million Chinese troops swept in on MacArthur and drove him back into South Korea with the battle line finally stabilizing around the 38th parallel.
00:35:45.000 At this point, MacArthur and Truman got deadlocked in a conflict because MacArthur thought the time was right.
00:35:56.000 The justification was there for what he called a whole new war, a war against China, against communist China, that would succeed in overthrowing this unfriendly, hostile, noxious communist regime that had just taken power and thus avert the prospect of a Sino-Soviet, Chinese,
00:36:24.000 and Soviet alliance that could come to dominate the world.
00:36:28.000 The time was ripe to take that on.
00:36:30.000 Truman, on the other hand, thought this was absolutely the wrong thing, that it would be, he called it a booby trap to go into a war in China and rejected the idea.
00:36:44.000 MacArthur criticized Truman publicly in an official letter to the House Minority Leader and said there is no substitute for victory.
00:36:54.000 In other words, a rejection of the containment doctrine.
00:36:58.000 There is no printifying the fact, though, that the Korean War was at best a stalemate.
00:37:04.000 It remains a people divided to this day.
00:37:08.000 There is no settlement of the war.
00:37:10.000 The war is simply suspended.
00:37:13.000 So in some ways, it illustrates some of the unsatisfactory aspects of the containment doctrine.
00:37:21.000 And that situation is yet to be resolved.
00:37:25.000 Again, CharlieForhillsdale.com, everybody, Charlie FRHillsdale.com.
00:37:29.000 And now more of our Ask Me Anything, always on Monday.
00:37:32.000 Enjoy.
00:37:35.000 Question here from David.
00:37:36.000 Basically, do you think we should reinvade?
00:37:38.000 I just want to say the coming debate on the right is whether or not we should reinvade Afghanistan after this.
00:37:44.000 And the answer is no, no, no.
00:37:48.000 A prudent withdrawal and retribution for killing of the Marines can be done in a way that does not require the reinvasion of the country.
00:37:58.000 This humiliating defeat was preventable.
00:38:01.000 It was avoidable.
00:38:03.000 And what we do from this point forward must be done with deterrence and with force and within strength.
00:38:08.000 It didn't have to be this way.
00:38:12.000 But saying that we need another 200,000 troops back in Afghanistan, Senator Mitch McConnell sent out a tweet saying we need to stay in Afghanistan for, quote, as long as it takes.
00:38:24.000 Well, if you give General McKinsey as long as it takes, his great-grandchildren will be saying we need another 20 years in Afghanistan.
00:38:34.000 I want to get to some more questions here.
00:38:36.000 You guys have been emailing us some very good ones.
00:38:38.000 Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:38:41.000 I want to do one on Afghan refugees.
00:38:43.000 Someone says, Charlie, do you think that we should take in these Afghan refugees?
00:38:47.000 I have, of course, said, no, we can help them.
00:38:49.000 Why don't we just send them all to Germany?
00:38:50.000 Angela Milke loves Middle Easterners that don't share the German culture.
00:38:54.000 Just send them all to Bavaria.
00:38:56.000 It's nice this time of year.
00:38:57.000 It's actually really cloudy most of the year.
00:38:59.000 Cut 86, Stephen Miller, vast majority of incoming 100,000 Afghans rendered no meaningful assistance.
00:39:06.000 Cut 86.
00:39:08.000 Do you trust this administration to vet these people before they touch down on U.S. soil?
00:39:15.000 Not in the least.
00:39:16.000 What I have heard from my government sources about this evacuation is horrifying.
00:39:23.000 Over 100,000 Afghan nationals have been removed from the country, the vast majority of whom have rendered no meaningful assistance to the United States government in the war effort.
00:39:33.000 The only common threat among them is the Taliban let them through and they want to leave Afghanistan.
00:39:38.000 That's it.
00:39:39.000 That's the qualifying criteria.
00:39:42.000 That's the qualifying criteria.
00:39:44.000 You mean that they'll come into the country and be potential voters.
00:39:49.000 Last question here, Joseph.
00:39:50.000 Dear Charlie, I'm 15, almost 16 years old from Iowa.
00:39:53.000 I'm deeply concerned about my future.
00:39:55.000 In my age, I already have a business going and I'm not worried about money.
00:39:58.000 That's good.
00:39:59.000 I'm worried that I won't have a country to live in by the time I'm an adult.
00:40:02.000 What do I do?
00:40:03.000 Thanks, Joseph.
00:40:05.000 That's a legitimate concern.
00:40:07.000 The country is falling apart right now.
00:40:11.000 So, Joseph, now you at a young age have to step up and fix the mistakes that were made before you.
00:40:17.000 Lead your parents towards political activism and engagement.
00:40:21.000 Professor Azarad from Claremont Institute and Chris Bedford said this on our podcast earlier this week, which I thought was a phenomenal point, which is we have only started to fight.
00:40:33.000 I want you to think about a New York Times headline: Homeschool Revolution helps steer America revolution post-COVID-19 in 2019, 2020, 2021 steered America back to conservative roots.
00:40:53.000 Now, I do want to say, those of you that are interested in homeschooling, the best curriculum is k12.hillsdale.edu.
00:41:01.000 It's k12.hillsdale.edu.
00:41:06.000 K12.hillsdale.edu to get the homeschooling curriculum.
00:41:11.000 But we have only begun to fight.
00:41:14.000 We're seeing the homeschool renaissance right now.
00:41:16.000 We're seeing pastors start to rise up.
00:41:19.000 And we have actually just launched Turning Point Faith.
00:41:21.000 You guys can see that at tpusa.com/slash faith, if that interests you as well, tpusa.com/slash faith.
00:41:29.000 Joseph, I'm telling you that now is the time to start to get back into the fight.
00:41:36.000 And maybe you don't want to do that.
00:41:37.000 You say, Charlie, what does that look like?
00:41:38.000 We have a variety of different ways that we do that at Turning Point USA.
00:41:41.000 And for adults listening right now, the country will fall apart if you do nothing.
00:41:46.000 School boards are everything.
00:41:48.000 City councils matter more than you can ever imagine.
00:41:51.000 Mentor young people.
00:41:52.000 Spend at least an hour a day with your kids and grandkids, an hour a day, maybe an hour a week, going through the great ideas that built this civilization, the books that inspired this 5,000-year miracle.
00:42:08.000 Joseph, we can win and we will win.
00:42:10.000 We got better ideas.
00:42:11.000 We got courage.
00:42:12.000 Hopefully, we have a lot of courage and conviction.
00:42:14.000 We just need more people to rise up.
00:42:16.000 I can tell you for the adults out there, I'm getting thousands of emails from 15, 16, and 17-year-olds that don't think they're going to have a country to grow up in.
00:42:24.000 That should motivate everyone to start fighting more.
00:42:27.000 And I believe we have just started fighting back.
00:42:31.000 And we have laid over for the last 50 and 60 years.
00:42:33.000 And finally, there's a counteroffensive, a sabotage campaign launched against the insidious aims and objectives of the left.
00:42:42.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
